Cheat Sheet – Round 9
It’s Round 9 everyone, and we’re only 3 weeks away from the first bye. I’m sure you’re all across your bye structure, but if not then this should be your number one priority for trades this week.
As you’d understand, try and populate your team with players who have the Rd 14 byes (and Rd 13 to a lesser extent). Then after Round 12, you can bring in the players who’ve already completed their bye and keep rolling out the Rd 13 players. And so on. It’s nothing new to most of you, but just so any newbie here might not have fully understood.

Triple downgrade this round, Carroll, Rioli, Hamilton, will all be coming into my team.
Given they all have the Rnd 12 Bye, how many would you plan on culling before Rnd 12?
I would be more inclined to look at a cat or a dog even an early eagle.Granted probably not the cash cow of Rioli but those small forwards disappear quickly NDD

None, I will be doing one downgrade and three upgrades by round 12 and they will all be from teams playing in round 12.
Hmm, clever. I think my only Rd 12 rookie I could safely upgrade by then would be Gibcus. Maybe Hayes but I’d miss out on a bit of his cash, and potentially Martin if he’s not a keeper… and Skinner lol
I’m looking at 18/R12, 21/R13, 23/R14.
That’s a strong showing John!…atm I’m looking at barely getting at 17-18 for 2 byes. You should come home well rotating your rookies like that.
It wasn’t due to any planning either Russty, only really looked at it last week and I know the downgrade and upgrades that I want to do in the coming weeks and that’s how it ends up. Things could change though, rookies dropped, premiums injured, but at the moment it’s looking good.
Must be a by-product of your fundamental philosophy….not too many player from one team, a good way to go John.

I think it depends on how many rookies you have not playing or maxed out. I have O’Driscoll, JHF, MacDonald, J.Hayes, Dixon. J.Hayes is my loop, so he can stay for now, but the other four are ready to go.

How many are bringing in Rioli and carroll this week? Ive got rookies like ward/baldwin/macdonald who could become rioli but i am petrified of his bye. THoughts fellas?
I’m bringing in Rioli this week despite his Bye in rnd 12. I would have bought in Carroll also if his Bye round was different.
Ended up bring in Crisp & Brayshaw with the round 14 Bye, and Rioli, gives me coverage throughout the Byes, and gets me within 3 players of full-premo, with my D7(Daicos) & F7 (McCartin) also sorted.
Just Houston to bring in after his round 12 Bye, and 2 more midfielders..

Hi Tommy, I got Carroll last week and Rioli this week, you can trade the next few weeks to make sure your byes balance, but you don’t wanna miss the good rookies like Rioil who should make 70k + next week.

Anyone considering Lloyd? $488k. Not looking at him as a 115 average player, happy for him to be 95-105 at that price. I see in a losing team last week he scored 116. The Swans have some toughish fixtures ahead. Plenty of chippies to be gobbled up, potentially.
Yes, I have undone my changes a few times today but at this stage have brought Lloyd in. He has now tonned up more times than he hasn’t this year. Can’t see his price going any lower and a great POD if he starts turning it on.
Who to trade out for Rioli, Carroll and Hamilton? I’m also thinking of bringing in Brayshaw instead of one of the bubble three but which one misses out?

D.Stephens (SYD) hasn’t played since round three, while MacDonald has only been managed. Plus MacDonald has mid/fwd, while Stephens is mid only. I’d trade Stephens first.
Hi all. Does anyone know the rule RE: the 5 x Trade Boosts? Can they be used during the Supercoach 4 weeks of Finals or only during the Supercoach Head to Head home and away season?
I’m used 3 and itching to use a 4th, though not if they can be saved for finals later

Cameron I considered as well Neil but in the end he was always going to have to be traded out at some point and don’t see him making too much $ at his price.

Good luck to you too Holty. I’m not expecting to win many games this round due to not doing any upgrades, so will pretty much have the same team on the park as last round. Ridley and Hewett are back in, but I had good cover for them last week, so not a lot of difference.
Same as me mate. Only downgrades this week for me as well but think I’ve been fortunate with the premiums I have so hopefully they do the job again
I’m fairly happy with my premiums, just one or two not going as well as I thought they would. My main problem is I have a few more rookies on field than other teams. Hope to catch up during the bye rounds.
