Rookie Cheat Sheet – 2022
G’day JR community, and welcome to the first cheat sheet of the year.
It’s rookie time! It seems many of the SC people on the interwebs are lamenting how similar their teams are amongst their premo and mid-pricers (with a few notable exceptions), but we all know the rookies are the key to success in SC. Generate cash and score some points … warm bodies on the field and the bench will bring big scores later in the season.
Obviously these recommendations are dependent on these players actually getting named. So make sure you check the team announcements closer to the games.

Not sure I trust Soligo’s spot to start him, will look to corrective trade in Round 3 if he’s still in the side
I’m nervous about all these rookies I wouldn’t be surprised if Martin isn’t named to throw a spanner in the works!

Parish vs Brayshaw
Wouldn’t surprise at all if Martin doesn’t get a gig rd 1. They named Baldwin yesterday to debut if Martin was a certainty would have named his as well.. may very well be the sub. Stringer to come back as well.

Corey Durdin $143,700 Goal Kicking small fwd unanimously regarded by his team mates as the hardest to tackle and the hardest tackle to break. kicked 2 goals in aami 1st half before a precautionary rest due to a kick in the calf. Scored at 1p/pm until being rested
Yeah I’ve got him on my bench too, so it was a kick in the calf and not an actual calf strain? He looks like a little live wire, should be decent backup
I’ve got Durdin on the bench as well, hoping he is OK injury wise. At least he doesn’t cost a fortune
English & J Crisp or Gawn & Hewett?
Gawn & Hewett
English and crisp imo. Both will be keepers (English in the fwd line) unlike Hewett
I like crisp and English FTB. You’ve got Two keepers there and think they’ll match gawn and Hewetts points.

I went Brodie, Rowell. Neither.
I have Berry but weighing up him or Chapman make way right now so I can get 1 more premium. Though I’m no guru lol.
Feel like Berry is safer than chapman, although in saying that there’s probably a better downgrade option in the midfield compared to the defence. (this is without looking at your side)
Interesting to see the phantom has jake bowey in his side over chapman any merit to this?

it was tough for me as i wanted to keep Butters but swapping out Ward JHF and Rachele got me English After all derek thats what those players are there for Losing LLOYD and a forced switch to Whitfield sealed the deal Pretty happy to have ENGLISH BUTTERS and Whitfield for Lloyd and a bunch of highpriced debuting rookies It’s funny I have never been a fan of those 3 mainly due to their injury history and English has improved enormously AS i said happy enough

Think more so for Brodie. They need a big body in the mids with no Fyfe.
Geez with all the cheap rooks appearing in rd 1 mead and owies a nice bonus dont think we need the 3 big boys on deck. Cull one save $$. McDonald or Mead could be on deck. 😉
