Supercoach Finals | Grand Final
THE BIG DANCE!
This is it folks. It is what we have been waiting for. The holy grail, the ultimate, the one every team strives for but few reach – The Grand Final!
So, we have arguably the two best or certainly two of the top four teams all year playing off in the Grand Final. Looking at last week’s performance it is hard to argue.
Both teams absolutely obliterated the opposition.
First up were the demons. Boy did they come out breathing fire! The cats didn’t know what hit them and which way to turn, the pressure was relentless, skill level amazing and the pace was exhilarating. So many winners all over the ground. At one stage some thought the cats were on the comeback trial entering the half time break. But not the captain of the mighty red and blue. Funny he plays for the demons as he came out after the break like man possessed and changed form into a midfielder. How else can you explain the goal from outside 50m or the snap from the pocket? Not to mention the little fake, bork and goal. Ruckman just can’t do this. He was possessed. Possessed to win.
Then it was doggies turn on Saturday night. Port had the perfect preparation. A week off, a home final, a fit and firing team –The dogs had logged more frequent flyers than a Qantas pilot, had to play every week, were a bit battle weary and fatigued and hopefully would make a game of it – a laydown mazaire right?
Apparently, there is plenty of fight in these doggies and they didn’t get the memo. What a display of footy! They wiped Port off the park with a scintillating display, shut down ports biggest weapon in intercept making and gave them no space. The pressure was intense. Bazlenka looks like he was born for the big stage and has so far been the player of the finals. The ball just follows him, he is so clean and can hurt you in an instant on the scoreboard. Might be worth laying down a few bob for Normie this week.
This has set up a mouthwatering contest. Let’s hope it lives up to expectation. If both teams play like that and bring their A game, we are in for one of the best Grand Finals you are likely to see! Essential viewing.
Speaking of essential viewing I have written a parody song which captures the essence of the Grand Final once again moving interstate.
Check it out below.
Have listen, let me know what you think?
Something to listen to in the background when you enter your grand final teams.
If you like it, flick it onto some mates who you think may also enjoy it.
Be great if we could get it out there into the wider community, be awesome if this was the grand final song.
Onto SC finals week 3.
Week 3 saw NIESO.F.C score the highest score for the round with a score of 1,480. He was closely followed by Singapore Flyers and Mighty MeerKATS who had a podium finish. That is two in a row. Making a late charge? Big Max was the highest scorer for the round with that eye catching display scoring a huge 159 points – Max was also a very popular Captains choice rewarding those teams who selected the big man. Refer to link below to see how you team went in Rd 3.
The table below shows the top 5 teams for round 3
With the scores locked in after Rd 3 who is leading the pack coming into the final straight?
GAWN in 60 seconds remains in the lead with a score of 4,632 but FAteagued is only 22 points adrift and breathing down their neck.
The table below shows the top 5 teams for the first 3 rounds
At the moment it appears GAWN in 60 seconds is on the right TRAC to go back-to-back. But anything can happen on grand final day with lots of teams well within striking distance ESPECIALLY with the addition of the Norm Smith medalist this week.
Grand Final (Dogs v Demons)
Blank canvas. Start again. (Every Week)
•No salary cap! That’s right you can pick whoever you like without breaking the bank as there is no bank as long as it is within the rules as set out below.
• Can’t have the same captain each week. No vice-captain.
I don’t think it is necessary to post all the rules again as you guys get the general idea of how it all operates. Right? If not please refer back to the previous article which states all the rules.
Changes for the Grand Final.
- As only two teams left (5 players to be picked from each team as per below)
Grand Final: (From 2 Teams participating – Maximum of 5 players from each team):
•10 Players consisting of:
- You should only have one spot left on the ground where you have not selected a captain from, the captain must be selected from this area in the Grand Final.
- Norm Smith
To make things a bit more interesting I have added a Norm Smith selection under your captain selection. This is a green box. Refer example below:
You can select any player from the drop-down list. If this player is judged to be the best player in the Grand Final and wins the Norm Smith medal you also receive their supercoach points which will be added to you total.
All teams must be entered into the spreadsheet via the link below:
Teams must be complete before the first bounce on Saturday night. Teams are locked in after this time.
Teams are in the same order so please fill in your team from the same spot as last time as I have linked the teams to the scores sheet.
I’ve been on the right TRAC all year, so I have no hesitation in selected TRAC to win the Norm Smith medal.
Thanks for playing hope you enjoyed the HAPPY ENDING and may the best team win.
Gone to my HAPPY place be back in a few ….
