Supercoach Finals Round Three
And then there were 4!
What a weekend of football, especially the Dogs v Lions game. It had everything, especially that last qtr. No passengers with everyone giving their all. Injuries, Smitty putting on his superman cape, the shimmy from Zac Bailey, the howler for out on the full, the lions missing everything twice, the rushed point. Yep, had it all. One of the best finals we have seen for a long time. Dare I say, I don’t think that too many of us we will be too disappointed if we get a similar match for the grand final.
3 words to sum each team and their performance in the final matches on the weekend.
Geelong – Tomahawk scalps Giants
Brisbane – EPIC! Just EPIC.
Giants – Too many injuries
Bulldogs – EPIC! Just EPIC.
Onto the SC Finals.
Holty entered his team at the 11th hour but lucky he made the cut off as he was the highest scorer in Rd 2 with a score of 1,445. Mighty MeerKAT’s was a mere 10 points adrift which helped KATapult up the leader board. Refer to link below:
The table below shows the top 5 teams for round 2.
We had 41 teams looking for a HAPPY ending at the end of Round 2, which means that 20 teams did not enter a team. Which is a shame though I guess they must be HAPPY enough.
A few teams used a mid for the second week in a row as captain with Neale a popular selection, remember your captain must be selected from the 4 areas of the ground over the 4 weeks of finals. For those who selected a mid again to be fair to everyone I selected Daniel Rich as their captain as he scored almost the same as Neale in week 2.
Macrae was the top scorer for the round with a score of 162. I don’t think anyone selected him as captain.
As we are now two weeks in who is leading overall?
Gawn in 60 seconds leads all comers with a score of 3,222 (one of Ritchie’s favourite numbers) with FaTeagued (cool names) following closely behind.
The table below shows the top 5 teams for the first 2 rounds.
So, onto Round 3.
4 teams left:
Cats v Demons and Dogs v Port (The winner progresses to the grand final)
Blank canvas. Start again. (Every Week)
•No salary cap! That’s right you can pick whoever you like without breaking the bank as there is no bank as long as it is within the rules as set out below.
• Can’t have the same captain each week. No vice-captain.
I don’t think it is necessary to post all the rules again as you guys get the general idea of how it all operates. Right? If not please refer back to the previous article which states all the rules.
Week 3 of Finals: (From 4 Teams participating – Maximum of 3 players from each team):
•12 Players consisting of:
As there are 4 finals the captain must be selected from the 4 areas of the ground over the final series. So, from a mid, fwd, back and ruck over the 4 weeks of the finals. This means that if you picked a midfielder as the captain in round 1 you can’t select a midfielder this week as captain.
All teams must be entered into the spreadsheet via the link below:
Teams must be complete before the first bounce of the first game in each week of the finals. Teams are locked in after this time.
Teams are in the same order so please fill in your team from the same spot as last time as I have linked the teams to the scores sheet.
