Panic Room | Round Ten
Boy oh boy does this excite me. Panic Room is brought forward 16 hours to celebrate teams dropping for the first time in what seems like forever! Thursday Panic Room won’t alway be a thing, since FozDaddy usually has footy training on, but he busted his ribs a few weeks ago and isn’t back training just yet.
Let’s GET INTO IT!
Newz you can Uze
Brisbane has made one change for Friday’s match against the Tigers, bringing James Madden in for Darcy Gardiner and Ryan Lester, who are both out with injuries. Rhyan Mansell has been managed by Richmond, but no ins were listed so that means Jack Ross will not be the sub this week.
Tom De Koning will return to the Blues line-up to assist friend of the show Marc Pittonet in the ruck. Against them will be debutant Ned Reeves ($123,900 RUC). Jack Silvagni will return from his concussion for the Blues, while Levi Casboult, David Cuningham, and Luke Parks come out. Damon Greaves will also come into the Hawks side, with Michael Hartley, Daniel Howe and Tim O’Brien all dropped.
Jordan Clark has been dropped from Geelong’s side again, as has Zach Guthrie and Max Holmes. Luke Dahlhaus and Jake Kolodjashnij returns to the Cats side. Nick Holman, Touk Miller, Alex Sexton and Zac Smith return for the Suns, with Ben Ainsworth, Jack Bowes, Jy Farrar, Darcy MacPherson and Malcolm Rosas all dropped or missing through injury.
Adelaide has named Taylor Walker, Nick Murray and Ned McHenry all to face Melbourne, who has dropped off-season recruit Ben Brown in favour of Luke Jackson. Billy Frampton, WIll Hamill, Andrew McPherson and Ronin O’Connor will all miss for Adelaide.
Lachie Hunter will come in for the injured pair of Pat Lipinski and Easton Wood, while Jarryn Geary and Shaun McKernan return for the Saints. Tom Highmore has been dropped again, meaning many sides may face a doughnut this week, while Ben Long and Rowan Marshall will also miss.
Big news out of Fremantle today was the injury to Andrew Brayshaw. He’ll miss this week with a calf, but Luke Ryan will return for the Dockers. Josh Treacy has also been named after some time out, with Reece Conca and Taylin Duman dropped. Dylan Stephens will return for Sydney, who has managed Justin McInerney.
Now comes the fun part. Sunday will see GWS play WCE. Shane Mumford has been brought into the Giants’ lineup, but Matt Flynn has been named as the starting ruck. Jeremy Finlayson, Nick Haynes, Sam Reid and Zach Sproule have all been named in the extended squad, while Toby Greene and Harry Perryman are the only two confirmed outs at this stage. Jeremy McGovern will miss again this week after just returning, while Shannon Hurn, Liam Ryan, Harry Edwards and Xavier O’Neill all in the extended squad.
Taylor Adams has been named to return from his PCL injury, while Nathan Murphy looks set to also play after his concussion. Trent Bianco ($123,900 DEF/MID) is on debut watch as he’s been named on the extended bench. Tom Clurey, Orazio Fantasia, and Martin Frederick are the confirmed outs.
Patrick Ambrose looks set to return to AFL level after booting six VFL goals last week. Nick Bryan, Ned Cahill and Alec Waterman have been named in the extended squad, with Devon Smith the only confirmed out so far.
