Cheat Sheet Round 4

Published by Statty Matty on

Sorry Community, it’s a quick one this week.

The plan is still the same, make some cash, and start looking at your upgrade targets. Depending on how much cash you had in the bank after starting your team (or trading out Lachie Neale, perhaps) you may be ready to start as early as next week. Make a list of your likely top 6-8 and see if they are likely to drop (historical averages against that opponent) in the next few weeks.

Lachie Neale is one to consider, obviously. He’s expected to drop to around $560k in 3 weeks. Inconceivable! Adam Saad could be sub $450k and Christian Petracca under $520k.

On the other side, there are some players you just want to get in your team now. Jordan Ridley is key. He’s now $586k and is a lock for top 6 DEF for the rest of the season.

Anyway, good luck this week.

Love ya work Matty.. couple of those on my radar at this stage would love to get Impey in and possibly chapman/jiath

I have a few big decisions ahead of me.
I have dow, hunter Clark and Phillips all sh*tting the bed. Hopefully Gresham out gives Clark his midfield role back where he can get back too his 100 pt role.

Phillips is a tough one I could go down to Impey bank 115k and hope Impey become a late F6 upgrade if he averages 90-95. Thoughts on this move?

And hold or trade dow? I can get chapman if I wanted

JohnDJ59

Phillips to Impey and Dow to Chapman works Mav.

Maverick

Yeah it seems a logical move but I’m struggling too part with Phillips . Something in my gut says to keep him. Unsure why haha

JohnDJ59

I can understand why you would hold on to Phillips, but I feel he could under perform for his price and Impey is scoring better and 110k cheaper

FearTheBeard

Going a bit creative and love community.

Campbell & Powell out FOR Impey & Chapman (allows me to swing a few players) to work.

View is Impey potentially F6 + a lot better cash. Campbell was on field in the forwards so Impey is an upgrade. Powell was on field in the Mids he’s replaced by Berry from Crows. Chapman is there with Highmore for D6 if back they can fight it out?

FearTheBeard

Thoughts Community?

Rick Grimes

If be concerned Campbell pumps out another 118. And how confident are we that Impey keeps going? He has the role, but history isn’t on his side. Bold moves tho.

Maverick

I think Impey is a good get he has the perfect role off HB. He may drop To a 90-95 average but for 280k that’s decent. Just don’t think Campbell is the man too move on I think he has the opportunity to make $$$ he has a decent ceiling.

FearTheBeard

It’s either Campbell or Clark from Geelong?

I don’t want to cut the other cows like Gulden/Flynn as they got a ton of $ yet.

JohnDJ59

I’d go Clark before Campbell.

FearTheBeard

Looked at it. Clark & Rowe out. Kept Campbell & Powell.

JohnDJ59

I like that better, good move.

FearTheBeard

Thanks for your time mate, appreciate the help 🙂

JohnDJ59

No worries FTB, hope it all works out for you.

FearTheBeard

What you think of below comment?

FearTheBeard

I am concerned on that but it’s the only way I make it work.

So far Impey looks a lot safer than Campbell for F6 WILL make more cash.

Bad idea or what?

Donavan

Think you having a lend of us. There has to be other moves.
Its too early to be cutting Campbell & Powell (both still have a negative breakeven).
Let the cows fatten.

JugHead

Trying to hold back trades this week, but I still have Neale.
Next week could be very interesting. Parks and Waterman are both 102k and could be on the bubble. It might be a double culling week.
The week after, Danger, Oliver and Titch should all have bottomed out.

The Ranger

I’m pulling the pin on Neale. Should have done it last week.
I think his back is gonna cause problems for a while based on what he’s said this week.

JugHead

I agree. I could hold him for weeks getting mediocre scores. Meanwhile, his price continues to fall and they could decide that he needs time out to rest it before finals.
Not worth the risk with a premo spot IMO.

JohnDJ59

Went Caldwell to Impey last week. Looked at H.Young to Jiath and Sharp to Chapman on Monday night and will most probably do those trades this round.

Rick Grimes

I jumped on Jiath because I didnt want to see Koz drop another turd on my team. Watched him very closely and was impressed. He’s got the athletic ability of course, but he also makes good decisions and is an accurate kick. Not sure he’ll keep it up, but he’s fun to watch nevertheless.

JohnDJ59

He seems pretty solid Rick, hoping he’s good enough to be my D6 at the end.

worpelGOAT

H.Young + J.Koschitzke for H.chapman + C.Jiath 95k
or
H.Young + P.Dow for H.Chapman + T.Walker 92k
Don’t really like Tex as a pick, but as i say that he will come out with another couple of 140 games, what do we think?

JohnDJ59

Option A.
But it also depends on what your def/fwd lines are like, which one needs the upgrade more.

Hi Community
Im still holding Oscar McInnerly. Should I hold him or look to trade him out. I have $103k in the bank but want to potentially bring in Dangerfield and/or Marshall when he returns. Thoughts?

Russty_

Big O could be back soon, and Marshall is playing this week, would be a nice pod now.

Plunks

Thanks Russty. Appreciate the advice.

Max

Who’s got better JS, Chapman or Jordan???

Rick Grimes

Think both are solid.

Lekdog

Jordon

ST1974

Great work Matty. Always great to read.

27 trades left and only $88k in the bank.

Which of the following trades should I make this week?

1) Kosi/Sharp/Highmore (whoever is not named) to Chapman.
2) Stewart to Ridley
3) Hunter to Meek – missed the boat on Flynn.
4) Butters to Fogarty or Tex
5) Henry/Bergman to Robertson (BL) or Waterman (Ess).

My team is as follows:
B- Lloyd, Laird, Stewart, J Clark, L Young, Kosi, Sharp, Highmore
M – Neale, Oliver, Merrett, Fyfe, Brayshaw (Free), Gulden, Jordon, Powell, A Fyfe, Scott, Brockman
R – Gawn, Grundy, Hunter
F – Dusty, Butters, Zeibel, Campbell, Warner, Rowe, Henry, Bergman

Any thoughts or advice much appreciated.

Thanks Community.

The Ranger

Just the first one methinks.

Bob Butter

You want to trade Butters and Stewart? You’ll be out of trades mid season at that rate. I would look to bring in Chapman for a non playing rookie, cash gen is most important this time of the season.

JohnDJ59

Why do you want to trade Stewart, his av is just under 97, just go with option 1. If you really want Ridley and don’t want Butters, downgrade Butters to Waterman and upgrade Kosi to Ridley.

ST1974

Thank you for all the replies and advice. Bergman has just been dropped. Thoughts on trading him or Henry to Waterman.

JohnDJ59

Yes I saw that, I’m happy to keep Bergman on the bench, he can’t be that far away from getting selected again.I’d trade Henry.

The Ranger

Hmm…I was bringing in Chapman for L.Jones but Jones has been named so now I’m not so sure.
Seems a shame to miss out on Chapman but the only way I can get him would be to trade out Dow and move J.Clark to the mids and that would then leave my back line with Chapman and Jones on field with Kosi and Highmore on the pine.
Worth doing to get Chapman?
I’m also sideways trading Neale to Steele and trading twice would take my trades down to 26 already.

JugHead

We can’t get them all. I’m passing on Chapman and targeting Parks at a lower price next week. The guy he replaces will hopefully have fattened for another week too.
In my view, the extra bank and keeping my structure is worth passing on Chapman.

Lekdog

100% Jug, we can’t get them all!

Donavan

I would trade Dow, swing Clark. Highmore should get a game, and is worth a spot on the field (or at least loop holed on).

BIG Midget

Who should i choose as my second Ruck. I have Grundy and Martin, with Meek as emergency. Should I swap out Martin for Meek

Lekdog

Back Martin
