Four games. FOUR GAMES. I can finally spend my entire Saturday on the couch watching footy. Good thing too because it’s wet and about -8 in Melbourne right now (we’re also not allowed to leave the house). There’s also 24 changes between the eight sides playing today, so we’ve got a ton of stuff to get through.
Western Bulldogs and Melbourne begin our Saturday and the Dees, bless them, are unchanged. This means that there is no Max Gawn for another week though. Sad face. The changes at the kennel probably won’t hurt you in SuperCoach. Hayden Crozier and JJ come back into the side, as well as Laitham Vandermeer, who might be floating around on a MID / FWD bench or two. Sam Lloyd and Bailey Dale are among the outs.
We then head south to Adelaide where Port have suspended Dan Houston and Peter Ladhams for a COVID breach and they’ve given Kane Farrell and Xavier Duursma a rest. Brad Ebert, Jarrod Lienart, The Hoff, and Riley Bonner all come into the side for Rocky’s 200th game. Former Bomber Michael Hartley will make his debut for the Hawks in 1 of 6 changes. They’ve been smashed by injuries the Hawks, Jack Gunston, James Sicily, Jaegar O’Meara, and James Frawley all join the injury list, Jono Patton will play his first game since round 6 and Tom Scully has been recalled.
Tonight we’re back at TIO Stadium for the Bombers v the Tigers. At the Tiges, Bachar Houli has will play his first game since 5, replacing Nathan Broad in their only change. The Bombers have made 6 changes as well with Conor McKenna the big name casualty. Dev Smith, Jake Stringer, and Tom Bellchambers are all back in. There’s also a debut for pick #38 from the 2018 draft, Irving Mosquito. I, for one, can’t wait for BT to commentate on this guy (assuming that he gets his name right)
For the final game of the day, Freo host Sydney at Optus where Liam Henry will make his long awaited debut. JPK is back for the Swans but Dane Rampe has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
For Monday’s game, the Pies have a whole swathe of changes but none – aside from Flynn Appleby‘s first game of 2020, have much fantasy relevant. Grundy’s still playing, with Darcy Cameron and Mason Cox in the line-up. Meanwhile, the near fantasy-irrelevant Roos have continued being irrelevant – and somehow Mason Wood hasn’t been dropped.
These players come with a free Frogurt (that’s good)
These players come with Potassium Benzoate (that’s bad)
That’s it, community. Good luck today. We’ll do it all again tomorrow.
