Festival of Fantasy | Day 12
It’s Day 12 of the Festival of Footy and boy am I emotionally exhausted after being crushed by disappointment at the end of Round 10.
No time to sulk as we look ahead at today’s games where the Power is matched against Richmond and the Lions are taking on the Dogs.
PORT ADELAIDE VS RICHMOND – 4:35(AEST)
The Tigers have rested Trent Cotchin and Jack Higgins has been omitted, bringing in Josh Caddy and Daniel Rioli.
Port Adelaide have announced the return of Scott Lycett who may share some ruck duties with Peter Ladhams. Brad Ebert owners despair as he is still potentially a week away.
If you went early on Boyd Woodcock you’ll be pleased to find he’s still playing this week. Probably not a great long term option but a $102,400 Forward may be a rare downgrade option.
If you’re wanting to look for something outside the norm plenty of players are coming off some good outings. Let’s be honest though, you’re probably thinking about someone from the next game.
Tom Rockliff – Definitely an outsider option but after a 134 against the dogs he has an opportunity to go for another big score.
Dustin Martin – You can never count out Dusty to have Supercoach potential. He could score 95 or 195, who knows? Definitely not me because I am not some kind of mystical prediction wizard.
BRISBANE LIONS VS WESTERN BULLDOGS – 7:40PM (AEST)
Aaron Naughton, Ryan Gardner and Bailey Dale come in at the expense of Hayden Crozier, Roarke Smith and Cody Weightman.
Cam Rayner will be out for at least a month after suffering a Hamstring injury against Richmond. One of our favourite sons Daniel Rich is available after recovering from a hamstring injury along with Ryan Lester.
2016 Reality game show winner Matt Eagles comes in for the Lions and is priced $155,800 as a Defender. He has not played since 2018 where he managed 4 games with an average of 41 points. Job security is yet to be determined but could be a warm body for your defensive line.
I mean, do I need to say it? No, not Tim English.
Lachie Neale – This man is having a hell of a year and is almost always a good VC or C option.
Jack Macrae – A string of amazing scores makes Macrae a must consider option for captain
There are a few other players I’m going to put in a basket labelled “results may vary” this includes:
- Dayne Zorko – Didn’t have an impact in a disastrous loss to Richmond but could bounce back.
- Marcus Bontempelli – The Bont is a beautiful man who has potential to influence games and can easily rack up the points when you least expect it.
- Oscar McInerney – If you have him, for some reason. 128 last week, I mean its 2020 BABY. (Please don’t do this)
Free Froghurt (That’s Good)
– 13 – Tom J Lynch
-11 – Jake Aarts
0 – Boyd Woodcock
28 – Connor Rozee
36 – Marlion Picket
The also cursed (That’s Bad)
177 – Tim English
154 – Scott Lycett
154 – Daniel Rich
141 – Josh Dunkley
139 – Dayne Zorko
133 – Jack Macrae
