Jock Reynolds Evolution League 2: Round 10 WRAP

Published by Barron Von Crow on

It was two on the cards for Sunday night, with Hawthorn vs Collingwood at the MCG, followed by Adelaide vs Brisbane at the Adelaide Oval. The night started with a breezy win by Hawthorn, booting 7.9 to the Pies 2.5 to take out a 34 point win.

Surprising absolutely no one, it was Brodie Grundy leading the ways with a MASSIVE 149 points thanks to a dominating 28 hitouts in the ruck. A big win for players who slapped the big C on him (which was mostly everyone!)

It was in Adelaide where the real action happened with the very first TRIPLE FIGURE score in JREL history, as the Lions demolished the Crows, booting 19.9 123 to the Crows 6.3 39. Things got so bad that Barron Von Crow took over from Matthew Nicks in the Crows coaching box in the 2nd half, which arguably resulted in an even worse result for the Crow Eaters.

It was the triple threat of Cam Rayner (99 points), Stef Martin (91 points) and Charlie Cameron (90 points) that did the damage for the Lions.

The scoreboard will be updated sometime on Monday, with details on the Grand Final to be posted in the 2nd half of the week.

Cheers Rusty! Grundy going large certainly would have helped!
