Lekdog & Barron Von Crow reflect on Eddie Betts’ illustrious career at both the Carlton Blues & the Adelaide Crows.

He’s not fantasy relevant but if you love Eddie like we do, have a listen.

Funny eh?

Sliding door moment:

Betts out daisy in
Now
Daisy out Betts in.

Should have just kept Betts eh?

    Lekdog · 14/10/2019 at 22:07

Probably, Eddie has said that he thinks his career would have ended shortly after if he didn't leave.

    Probably for the best

Reckon Daisy still had a lot more to offer than Betts…Daisy had a pretty good year didn't he but Betts didn't.

      Lekdog · 15/10/2019 at 08:44

No one pushing for Eddie's spot, Daisy wasn't gonna get a game behind Doch, Simmo, Newman et. al.

dontblushbaby · 14/10/2019 at 22:04

Not sure why they got him, realise the Crows are paying for most of his salary, he will not play in there next premiership

Should have gone for Butler imo, fools again the Blues

    Lekdog · 14/10/2019 at 22:08

He'll give more to the Blues without playing a game than Butler would

Russty_ · 14/10/2019 at 22:57

I guess the one game in 10 where he actually has a significant contribution could be valuable to those who hold nostalgia in high regard, I wouldn't want someone that old and inconsistent in my team.

Reckon the "camp" destroyed him at the crows.

    Fresh start.
Who knows the ol man may still have some tricks up his sleeve.

1 year be a good ambassador for the indigenous players at the club apparently already worked on Martin.

      BarronVonCrow · 15/10/2019 at 10:41

Shit coaching and the club being run by a birdbrained dipshit were bigger issues than any camp, despite the medias simplistic women's day take on the situation.

    Lekdog · 15/10/2019 at 08:46

He kicked more goals last year than our leading goalkickers have booted since 2013. He'll be impactful going at 50%!

TRIGGA_HAPPY · 14/10/2019 at 23:20

Nice work that.

Go Saints.
Don't you just love the positive aura and sense of something great coming for the saints since the Ratten plan has been embraced.
They'll be my 2nd fav team in 2020 and I might even risk a couple of pineapples on them winning a final.

Blues didn't do anything except improve a few other teams trade positions and depth WTF? 2 weeks ago they were supposedly getting 3 or 4 good players but instead they lost the best backup ruck in the league (remember Kruez is their only other) and tried to erase one of Muppett Malthouses mistakes by getting Eddie back….6 years too late.
Oh well pick 9 in the most talentless draft in 15-years was worth holding onto I suppose I'm sure that guy will be a lot better than Martin could have been.

    NDD · 17/10/2019 at 14:59

Yes oops the saints did well but ryder is past his best and Butler a good ordinary player but the rest are good. No kents among that lot Hill is a grade jones is good and Dougal also quality. Losing Acres Bruce and steven however negates it a lot . For mine they are winners and will challenge for the finals NDD

      Russty_ · 17/10/2019 at 23:59

Hey bud, I don't actually think the loss of Bruce, Acres and Steven is a big deal, Steven is done I think as a star player, Acres and Bruce are just too inconsistent and might benefit their own game from leaving the Saints…good luck to them.
Happy with the Saint's trades this year, we might still have some hope yet.

    Russty_ · 18/10/2019 at 00:00

I'm loving it Oops, very positive trade period for us, looking forward to a good year and possibly finals 🙂
