Supercoach Cheat sheet | Pre Round 11

Good morning JR Community, great to be back thinking about SC again … who am I kidding? It never stops does it? So just one more week until the byes and hopefully you all have you plans worked out.

Every trade from now should be focused on where you want to be at the end of round 14. With a little luck you can push positions up the ranks, or just lock away 3 wins if you’re only playing in a cash league.

Remember, my suggestions aren’t definitive. A few of my “wait / watch” suggestions are probably best done with note to the player’s bye round (Brodie Smith for example could actually be held until his bye in Round 14). You just need to work out what’s best for your team structure.

A lot of experts are suggesting that you build a war chest of cash ready for your bye trades. I’m of the opinion that money not spent isn’t working for you, and while you don’t need to spend every cent, $300k in your bank which could upgrade a player now is definitely worth it.

Hopefully there’s no more carnage at the selection table this week. I did see earlier that Marty Hore is out injured, and personally I’m hopeful that Dylan Shiel gets up this week too.

Anyway, good luck every one,
Statty Matty.

1. TommyC99 says:

Hold Williams and go ahead with my trade plans of dumping Petrucelle and leave myself 80k going into the byes or hold Pet and sideways trade Williams which leaves me with 280k?

2. great insight as usual Intriged by the Hore injury I have heard nothing about that Petty was worked on at training maybe its him

• TommyC99 says:

I saw a photo of Hore with ice on his calf earlier in the week. Hoping its just precautionary and reporters have blown it out of proportion

• Choppers says:

I saw a video of Lever trying to prove his fitness for this round and Hore was running with him. Hore had what looked like a pressure bandage on his calf..

• TOPHAWK1 says:

Hi Neil. The Hore injury does not exist. Are you confident in Oskar Baker mate? How is is JS? You rate him as a player? Seriously considering trading him in this week. Cheers. TH

3. Danners says:

Nice work work MattyB! Struggling to figure out who to trade out this week with the byes just around the corner

My team currently is:
DEF: Hurn, Whitfield, Laird, Sicily, Hore, Clark (Young, Answerth)
MID: Neale, Oliver, Sloane, Cripps, Treloar, Danger, Stack, Duursma (Stocker, Gibbons, Hayes)
RUCK: Grundy, Gawn (O'Brien)
FWD: Kelly, Dunkley, Boak, Heeney, Parker, Young (Bines, Schultz)
18 trades, $146,600 in the bank

Wouldn't mind getting Hinge in and dumping Schultz, but just not sure what it is the best thing to do.
Thoughts community?

• Derek says:

Might be time to cash in ROB

• Derek says:

I was hoping ROB would be there for round 13 but it is looking like Jacobs will be back next week and stuff that up.

If you cash him in and via Bines, via Danger. Gets Danger back in forward line and $400k off your bench.

4. Angus says:

Rookie question here; but how many players should we aim to have playing each bye?

5. Brad Constable says:

Verdict on Jeremy Cameron?

• TommyC99 says:

I have been pretty vocal in my thoughts on him, but i like him a lot

• TelescopicCox says:

I like him:
Round 14 Bye – Tick
Under priced – Tick
Consistency – Big worry

I think he's worth the plunge as he can get up the ground to boost his numbers

• TommyC99 says:

I dont think his consistency is that bad. His only 2 scores below 86 have been in 2 terrible Giants performances, and that 29 was also injury affected.

6. Billy says:

Hey Community who should be a my main trade going into this week?

Trade 1: ZaC Williams and Setterfield out and Whitfield and Baker in

Trade 2: Miers and Clark out, Caleb Daniel and Hinge in ( Which would see me play answerth on field for williams)

• Streaker says:

Depending on your bye situation, I'm gonna trade Miers out of my team, I think he will lose quite some cash this week. Z William's won't go down in value if not playing, I will hold him til next weeks decision too. All decisions relevant to byes and what your goal is rank or leagues. If leagues check your apponent side to see whether they have William's in as well.

7. Worpedo says:

Thought on trading

Zac WIlliams to Hinge,
Petruccelle to Boak and banking remaining cash for byes?

Thinking of doing this as defensive rooks on field much stronger than forward rooks

• Lazza says:

Not a smart move IMO … Boak's BE is 123 .. a bit of a stretch given his 87 average over the last 3 weeks… he has a bye next week and will be cheaper after the bye. Wait two weeks. By all means dump Petrucelli, or Miers if you have him.

8. SHAKE Would you be interested in a deal Danger for Cripps NDD

• Shake_n_bake says:

Tempting ask me next week 😉

• One way or another it will be off the table next week -one will burn one way crumble Sorry bud now or never all good NDD

DANGER FOR CRIPPS pretty much win win

• Derek says:

He wouldn’t trade Neale for him. He must love Danger.

• Shake_n_bake says:

I did trade Danger last week in classic league!

• I cant split the three Derek– Just checking my R10 team vs Holty's Only 4 onfield differences NDD whitfield-Oliver-YOUNG -Balta
HOLTY Lloyd-Sloan-ATKINS-Baker
Holty beat me by over 200 whit and Lloyd both cancelled each other out with 115 and Balta and Baker close but the other two were nearly 200 different Holty's were 2 big tons , mine OLIVER and YOUNG a miserable 70 Just goes to show what a talented player Holty is Good luck I hope you kill them champ NDD

9. RealDealNeale says:

Feedback for this week? 17 trades left and 50k bank

Back – Whitfield, Hurn, Smith, Hore, Duursma, Moore (Williams* Answerth)
Mid – Neale, Oliver, Cripps, Bont, Rocky, B.Crouch, Brayshaw, Stocker (Setterfield, Scott, Hayes)
Ruck – Grundy, ROB (Bines)
Fwd – T.Kelly, Danger, Dunkley, De Goey, Marshall, Boak (Schultz, Young)

I'd like to get Lloyd in but I'd need to get rid of one of Moore or Williams along with Brayshaw to do it.

10. Big G says:

I am not sure why the cheat sheet included Baker when its obvious his j/s isn't the greatest?

11. Taz says:

Does anyone know more about the Z Williams injury, is he likely to play next week or not?

• TommyC99 says:

They said they are optimistic. With his recent injury history i wouldn't be surprised if they just rest him till after the byes. I'm keeping him purely because Scrimshaw has to go first so i need to deal with him but if i was to put money on it i'd be backing they give him a rest

• Derek says:

I’m the same. Can get to Whitfield by just trading out Scrimshaw.

Will hold Williams.

If didn’t have Scrimshaw I would have gone Williams to Whitfield.

Whitfield is a must have

12. TommyC99 says:

Theo Doropoulos (twitter) – "Matt Crouch put through some strong contact/tackle work and moved well"
"Expecting Matt Crouch, Tom Lynch and David Mackay will come straight back in."

Finally some promising news for Crouch owners!

13. Swoopsta says:

Only way for me to get L.Whitfield in this week before his price skyrockets is by going slightly early on trading out D.Moore and J.Clark.
Do I swoop?

14. John says:

Cogs to Duncan is what I’m thinking but I just can’t convince myself to do it. I need advice please !!

15. Trades says:

Whitfield or Danger this week?

16. Derek says:

JR SURVIVOR GROUPS

The following teams had immunity this week

Div 1 – The Nakia 3310s
Div 2 – dontblushbaby
Div 3 – Kick it to me @SCT
Div 4 – King Winter
Div 5 – Cramit

This now the pointy end of the season. When teams who are scoring 2235 are being eliminated, we are getting to the serious end.

This week had a few thrills and spills.

Crowmagnon piped PottersFC by 1 point in division 4, rough break especially when PottersFc was ranked inside the top 4k

As per the rules of the competition, the two lowest weekly scores from each division are eliminated each week, unless you have immunity.

This weeks Eliminated teams are:

Div 1 -EAGLE POWER & Dancing Dongas

Div 2 – Gonzo's Guns & Hall of Fame

Div 3 – Alaskan Firedragon & Macca's Magic

Div 4 – PottersFC & Gonzo's Guns

Div 5 – Jaeger O'Kneera & Rockesaurus

I have removed the above teams from the game.

This weeks top scorers all have immunity this week. This has secured them a place in the Champion of Champions league, well done fellas.

Div 1 – Shake n bake (2460)
Div 2 – Rise of the Worpel (2377)
Div 3 – Jaeger Bombs Pipes (2290)
Div 4 – Kezzam (2391)
Div 5 – Holt (2501)

Down to the last 6 (7 in two division) and only one week to go before we have out finalists

Champions League will start after the byes.

Good luck everyone

17. COREYSC says:

Parker to Hinge (dpp Burgess)
Setterfield to Fort
Are those two moves necessary? 22 Trades 10K in Bank

My Team
Lloyd, Whitifeld, Z.Williams, B.Smith, Hore, Clark (Answerth, Burgess)
J.Kelly, Neale, Fyfe, Macrae, Cripps, M.Crouch, B.Crouch, Walsh (Hayes, Stocker, Scott)
Grundy, Gawn (Bines)
T.Kelly, Dunkley, Dangerfield, Heeney, Parker, Setterfield (Corbett, Young)

18. Wolfy says:

Rockliff ruled out.

19. The unsullied says:

Like Taranto more than Parker on cheat sheet. Better five round average won't get tagged and better bye.

20. Lazza says:

Christmas will be here in 4 weeks … Grundy is coming to town … can't wait …

21. hedski says:

Start reversing trades everyone.
Hinge and Fort omitted.
Lockhart out injured.
Danger is back.
Still no Crouch <img draggable="false" class="emoji" alt="😪" src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/11.2.0/svg/1f62a.svg">
When Sundays teams are finalised tomorrow we could be in for more pain.

• Ja191 says:

so no defensive downgrade options?

• hedski says:

Could go super early on Gardener????
(I won't be)

• Trades says:

Darragh

• Lazza says:

I just did a rookie bubble search on SC – Selected to Play' and 'Less than 3 games played' , result = Baker (MELB, MID, $123,900), Begley (ESS, FWD, 167,700) and Cumming (GWS, DEF, 173,300), Keefe (GWS, DEF, 190,500)

May change tomorrow night after the Sunday teams are announced with Joyce (STK, DEF, 123,900)

22. Rocksta_ says:

3 of my keepers out again. Time to put the cue in the rack I reckon. I’m done!

23. The crumbler... says:

Does anyone know how bad rockliff and Williams are? Really don't want to do 2 sideway-ish trades this week

• Tommy says:

Rockliff named in team, so probably a late decision, doubt he misses more than 1. Williams should also be back next week

• Holty01 says:

I’m now very concerned about Rocky. Has next week off with the bye but travelling all tHat way and not getting up for this match will really effect his recovery. Big questions will be asked if he misses rd 13

24. Lazza says:

So Hinge has done a Hately .. he is out… JS a real issue moving fwd with the rookies.

25. Tommo09 says:

I planned to trade down to Hinge this week but with him getting dropped should I go baker instead or do I take a huge risk and go for Gardner?

• Tommy says:

I’m also looking at Gardner, if he’s rushed straight in then surely they rate him so should have JS, scoring potential could be a worry though

• Creed Bratton says:

Yeah I'm going to take the punt, even if Gardner doesn't work out the DPP is useful

26. s c tragic says:

Who is the favoured replacement for Scrimshaw Houli , whitfield or LLoyd? still have Williams cooling his heels also Hurn Duursma and the cheap Hore.

27. TelescopicCox says:

Walsh to Rocky 2 weeks ago. I’m ready to quit on this season

Who goes first to avoid a donut – Crouch or Rocky

28. Lekdog says:

We are live and preparing for the byes! Come chat #supercoach trades at http://twitch.tv/lekdoggames now! To all the subscribers, make sure you jump in & spam Daniel Rich emotes!

29. Fearthebeard says:

Think I have to go baker now.

Will look at hinge and Bewley next week to bank and lastly Gardner.

We have to learn on going early no?

30. ojs says:

should i trade or hold angus brayshaw at this point when i have the likes of drew stack and ross that need trading out

• Hazey says:

Yeah, I'm stuffed if I know what to do with him. I'm leaving towards trying to hold him until he is my last upgrade to Uber…. With the faint hope they get him back in the guts where he was when they were killing it last year!

31. Trades says:

Gees. Brought in Simpson last week. He usually comes back with a mammoth score but not this time. Now he’s done.

32. Trades says:

Simpson, Williams,Scrimshaw, Rocky, Crouch, Lockhart all not playing. Gees….

• Rocksta_ says:

Shit mate, you’re going worse than me this week. I’m just going to stick to my Original paint the fence trades and sit Crouch, Williams and Rocky on the pine. Looks like another average score coming up for me this week.

• Rocksta_ says:

Actually, I just went through my team again and realised I must trade one of them out. And unfortunately Rocky is the one that has to go due to spud mid rookies and bye structure.

33. TommyC99 says:

Was Planning on painting the fence this week, Scrimshaw down and Pet up. doesn't look like any real downgrade options. Do i punt on a risky bubble boy (i.e baker) and go with my painting the fence Or sideways trade one of Williams – Sicily or Crouch – Bont/Merrett?

34. Daniel says:

Which set of trades is the better option this week?

OPTION 1: Lockhart to Gardner + Drew to J. Cameron

OPTION 2: Drew to Oskar Baker + Lockhart to Sicily

35. James Sykes says:

Thanks Hinge….good job…..forced me to roll with oskar (who even spells it that way????).

Which means if Lachlan Young doesnt come up I have to bring in Lllllooooyyydddd…..rather than my much preferred Constable to Josh Kelly!

rocking 8 outs at this stage.

36. Dash says:

150K – 20 Trades Seeking your trade thoughts which may suit my byes.

Laird, Sicily, Whitfield, Duursma, Clark, Answerth, (Burgess, Marsh)
Macrae, Cripps, Fyfe, Neale, Libba, Walsh, Gibbons, Atkins, (Hayes, Scott, Setterfield)
Gawn, Grundy, (Bines)
Heeney, Boak, T Kelly, Dunkley, Danger, Balta (Parker, Corbett)

37. AuroraBorealis?! says:

Thinking i might just have to cop the donut of Rocky at this stage, it's just not worth trading in a rookie with speculative JS.

• James Sykes says:

I think from here everyone is questionable with JS otherwise they probably would have played day one. There is always exceptiosn but it just proves the rule. that is why we wind up with crap benches year end and the premo injuries with no trades hurts so much come finals.

38. Lazza says:

I can field 22, but my trade strategy for the byes is rooted if I don’t bring in Bewley.. problem is I need to replace his trade with another for R13.

39. Jeffrey says:

I need to downgrade but can’t decide between O. Baker and Begley. Any thoughts?

40. JugHead says:

I think the supercoach gods are taking the pi55……….anything I do to fix my team this week will roger me for the byes……

41. KSinny says:

Hey community would really appreciate some advice on my team. I've got 18 trades and $139k in the bank. Thinking of going Gibbons to Bewly and Williams to Kelly/Merrett? Any suggestions would be helpful.

DEF: Sicily, Williams, Smith, Whitfield, Answerth, Hore (Burgess, Lockhart)

MID: Macrae, Cripps, Gaff, Sloane, M. Crouch, Fyfe, Walsh, Duursma
(Hayes, Scott, Gibbons)

RUC: Gawn, Grundy (Bines)

FWD: Danger, Heeney, Kelly, Boak, Marshell, Petruccelle (Balta, Young)

• Daniel says:

I'd go ahead with Gibbons down to Bewley, but for the other trade I reckon hold williams, i'm holding him and m.crouch myself, you've already held both for this long and in the meantime you can trade lockhart to either laird or t.stewart this week, both look top 10 defenders this year and are great value

42. James says:

21 trades and $42k. Currently thinking of holding as there aren’t many rookies to trade down to. But considering trading Cogs up to another premium due to his injury and Kelly being back.

Def: Laird, Williams, Whitfield, Wilkie, Duursma, Hore EMG: Answerth, Clark

Mid: Cripps, Treloar, Fyfe, Cogs, Macrae, B. Crouch, Stack, Stocker EMG: setterfield, Sparrow, Hayes

Ruck: Grundy, Gawn EMG: Sweet

Fwd: Danger, Heeney, Dunkley, Boak, Kelly, Corbett EMG: Young, Schultz

Do I hold it trade in someone like Baker, Joyce (if selected) or Bewley and trade Cogs to Neale or Duncan ?

43. Joe T says:

Best option out of Stewart, Ryan and Houli? Only considering point scoring and injury risk, not worried about bye structure.

44. Stupid Coach says:

I have 18 trades and 18k in the bank. Have 22 on the field with Danger back and Answerth covering Williams. At this stage I have at least 20 players playing during the bye rounds. I was thinking Sweet to Fort but he has been dropped. Lockhart is the only other player not playing and he is on the bench with Stocker and Scott. I could trade Lockhart to Baker (Melb) to generate cash and do an upgrade next week or just hold this week. Appreciate any advice. Team is:
B: Laird, Whitfield, Stewart, Williams, Dursma, Wilkie, Answerth, Joyce.
M: Crisps, Oliver, Merrett, Coniglio, Macrae, Sloane, Walsh, Stack, Lockhart, Scott, Stocker
R: Gawn, Goldy, Sweet
F: Danger, Kelly, Heeney, Rozee, Petrucelle, Parker, Young, Settlefield

45. John says:

Is Caleb Daniel a top 6 forward?

• Big G says:

Close or round about. Confident he will average 90 from here on at least.

• Derek says:

if Suckling keeps playing in the central defence role, Daniel will average 80-90

look at his scores from round 8 when Suckers came back into team.

• Tommy says:

Suckling played forward last week hence Daniel scored better, not too sure how long that will last

46. Dean says:

I want Houli. To do so I will bring Baker in and offload either Coniglio or Brodie Smith (via DPP etc).

Who should I offload out of those 2, Coniglio or Smith? Will Cogs come good?

• Justin says:

Is there anyone else you can downgrade?

• Derek says:

Cogs will come good, but only once his finger stops hurting. If he keeps playing it wont get better.

Might have to do what Daniel Chick did.

• Tommy says:

Houli should score well for another 5 weeks, but as soon as short comes back his scores will drop off.

• Justin says:

Backing in Houli, top 6 defender at seasons end. And hoping Cogs will return to form. Who should I downgrade, Lockhart, Hayes, Petrucelle or Setterfield

• Dean says:

Okay, I think Im gonna back Houli in and go Smith to Houli. Should I trade Lockhart, Petrucelle, Setterfield or Hayes?

47. SJ34 says:

Looking to trade out scrimshaw and drew this week but to bring in who? Thoughts on Taranto or Houli? Or another option?

Lloyd, Whitfield, Sicily, Smith, Hore, Scrimshaw, (Clark, Answerth)

Cripps, Mcrae, Fyfe, Kelly, O’Meara, Rockliff, B Crouch, Walsh, (gibbons, setterfield, Hayes)

Gawn, Mumford, fort

Boak, danger, Kelly, Greene, Balta, drew, (Young, Corbett)

48. Big G says:

Community just confirming we will know the final teams for Sunday by 6:10 tonight – sweating on whether that Robbie Young fellow will play.

49. Blue says:

I started with McGrath. He hasn't changed much in price ($392K) and only averaged 77.
Keep and build around him or trade?

• Jace says:

Build around him or trade him when he has his bye.

• Lazza says:

If you are building a cellar, then keep him .. wasted funds that could help you turn two rookies into two premos ..

• Derek says:

short term, without Shiel this week, and no Smith or Stringer, his midfield time will get a decent bump and he might manage a 90+ like he did last week.

long term he isn't a keeper, but he isn't the worst option either. Has been very constant. He would be one of the last ones you upgrade,

50. manolaki says:

Some advice please community.
Team looks like this plus 200k

D: Whitfield Lloyd Laird Smith Rozee Hore (Duursma Answerth)
M: Cripps Fyfe Macrae Oliver Martin Walsh Libba Stack (Scott Stocker O Baker)
R: Grundy Gawn (O'Brien)
F: Danger Heeney Boak Kelly Worpel Baker (Young Setterfield)

Appreciate input into this round trade
