PODCAST | But Where Have All The Rookies Gone?

Published by Lekdog on

To paraphrase Patch “Noah Batla is the single greatest Supercoach selection to have ever lived. He’s the greatest Supercoacher to have ever Supercoached bar NONE.” And if it wasn’t for the great man we wouldn’t have a single field-worthy rookie (O’Brien excluded) to discuss.

The news doesn’t get better for coaches looking for downgrade options with effectively no viable selections putting their hands up heading into Round 10.

Maybe it’s good that we have no rookies…maybe we should save the trade!

Speaking of trades, Lek doesn’t have many and Patch wants to know what’s par. How many trades do you have heading into Round 10? Let us know in the comments!

PS – The podcast is now on Spotify for your listening pleasure!

Lazza · 20/05/2019 at 20:14

So much for the greatest draft of all time …

Rivo · 20/05/2019 at 20:30

23 trades remaining and next to no cash. Considering Walsh & Parker to Sloane & Young. Too soon?

    SC_Kev7 · 20/05/2019 at 20:58

If you can do the Walsh trade without the second one then yes. Not sold on Young. 8 touches, 2 goals. Yuck. Will score next to nothing if he’s held goalless

      Rivo · 20/05/2019 at 21:16

Cheers Kev. Cupboards pretty bare for rooks this week. Can’t do the single trade so it may be a hold this week.

      Sharkmove_King · 20/05/2019 at 22:43

Great point Kev, and if he was able to sustain 2 goals week he would be up there with the best small forwards in the competition, as 44 goals in a season would be considered an excellent return for any small forward

    Beezneez · 21/05/2019 at 14:35

Word from Adelaide sport report saying Sloane may be used in a tagging role. Make of that what you may. Paper says Crows are wary of Eagles midfield.

    TOPHAWK1 · 24/05/2019 at 09:40

Beware of the Hutchings tag going to Sloane mate.

Tommo09 · 20/05/2019 at 20:46

Is it worth going early on anyone this week?

    Trades · 20/05/2019 at 21:16

Garner, Atley or Fort? Young a worry but gees, there is nothing coming in the fwd line.

    COREYSC · 20/05/2019 at 21:35

Young also has a handy Bye

KSinny · 20/05/2019 at 21:18

20 trades left and $30k for me

Gainsy · 20/05/2019 at 21:24

16 trades. 600k in bank. 5 left to turnover to be full premo.

Maverick_ · 20/05/2019 at 21:30

look forward too having a look into this new josh lloyd bloke pumping out 141s haha
loving the podcasts this year fellas, great work!
I have 19 trades remaining with 230k in bank so that's not ideal at all.

Mattyboy · 20/05/2019 at 21:32

20 trades left and 50k but looking to being in Whitfield this week and boak next which will leave me 16 and 1 non premo in my side

    NO means YES · 21/05/2019 at 19:52

don't forget the lube … oh, and protection .. haha

COREYSC · 20/05/2019 at 21:35

24 Trades Left and 39K

The Mighty Wokkas · 20/05/2019 at 22:10

What’s the go with Zac Williams? Is he a must trade? I have really liked how he has scored for me so far this season.

    Hawks · 20/05/2019 at 22:28

Keep, if you can. He may miss a week with a tight hamstring, but reckon they just played it very safe given they were 60+ points up at 1/2 time.

Williams was on fire in a game where the ball was stuck in the forward line

Rocksta_ · 20/05/2019 at 22:32

What’s Fort’s JS like?

    SC_Kev7 · 21/05/2019 at 09:10

Not great I reckon. Stanley will replace Abbott, then there’s Esava, Buzza, Zac Smith all going for the second tall spot

    COREYSC · 21/05/2019 at 12:47

I think its good he kicked three goals and Esava has struggled to replicate his form from last year a poor performance this week would warrant him being dropped but who knows with Chris Scott

    Russty_ · 21/05/2019 at 22:08

Hey Rocksta, I read in an article Scott said Ratatouille will come back in if he's ready, not sure why, Fort played mostly forward and was much better than the former has been in 8 games.
Abbott will probs be in as long as Stanley is out, not sure how long that is, cause I've been too busy this week.

      Rocksta_ · 21/05/2019 at 22:19

Cheers Russty. I’ve gone early on Young instead of Fort in any event. I know Young didn’t get a lot of it but I was at the Game and the boy has plenty of talent. It also allowed me to get rid of Parker whom has a BE of 90.

        Russty_ · 21/05/2019 at 22:27

Good call getting rid of Parker mate, he's a spud and is way too unreliable, I can't do it this week.
Still tossing up whether to trade at all this week or burn another 2.
I am pretty low ….don't want to say how many lol

          Rocksta_ · 21/05/2019 at 22:39

I’ve only got 15 left after this weeks trades, with 18 keepers ( counting Williams and Smith as keepers at this Stage). My main goal is to improve rank this year so I need to be aggressive. It was going okay until last week. I’m reasonably okay set up for the byes though so hopefully can make up some places there. I learnt from last season where I was top 600 going into the byes and then got absolutely smashed during the byes ( I’ll probably cop a whole heap of injuries through the byes now that I’ve talked it up).
Oh well, it’s all a bit of fun mate at the end of the day.

            Russty_ · 21/05/2019 at 22:56

Hey good luck Rocksta, every year is a learning process mate, I hope your strategy works out for you.
You know what really fck'd me last year was 3 injury outs in my grand final round.
Had to play 3 bloody rookies on field.

              Rocksta_ · 21/05/2019 at 23:03

Good Luck to you too mate. We play because we love the challenge, but Luck definitely plays a large part in SC.

Sam_01 · 20/05/2019 at 22:48

I thought I had traded quite well haha prioritising rookies and cash gen but maybe not lol 19 left 150k in the bank
1. Drew 2. Moore 3.wilkie 4.duursma 5. Walsh. 6. Stack
All to go…hopefully smith and Williams can be keepers, gonna need roughly 1.1 mill to finnish it all up only currently have 600k worth of viable downgrade cash to make off my bench (ROB,Parker,Lockhart)

Rocksta_ · 20/05/2019 at 23:19

I just had a look at the Injury list and apparently Danger is a big chance to miss this week? If that’s the case, fingers crossed Williams and M Crouch get up or I’ll have to field a whole heap of spud rookies again! That’s even before I factor in a potential Rocky suspension. This game kills me

    Browncow · 21/05/2019 at 00:11

Have all four of them too Rocksta. Rocky was cleared so good to go there. Crouch should get up having almost got on the plane last week but one report did say small tear not corkie. Have Danger sitting on my bench in anticipation – you would think Duncan, Ablett, Kelly and Selwood could take care of Gold Coast.

      Rocksta_ · 21/05/2019 at 00:19

Cheers Browncow. I’ve had to change my trading strategy this week due to Danger likely being out. Had to bring in Boak instead of Sicily. Not the end of the world as Sicily also has a high BE. My score was ruined by having to field so many spud rookies last week.

j959 · 21/05/2019 at 02:04

22 left with $170k …

4 rookies on field, plus Darcy Moore …

With lack of downgrade options, might have to wait til bye rounds to finish the upgrading cycle??

BadgerHoney7 · 21/05/2019 at 10:11

Is Brodie Smith a keeper?

    Derek · 21/05/2019 at 10:42

No. Not when you look at what else you have in defence this year.

    The Ranger · 21/05/2019 at 13:10

He shouldn't be but a lot of people will end up having to keep him.

      Swans2012 · 21/05/2019 at 13:37

I’m hoping him and Williams might be able to share the d6 d7 role,

Derek · 21/05/2019 at 10:38

This is the time of the season where we all need to do a bit of math. Spreadsheets if possible, but I’m a bit old fashion and, like the accountant with constipation, prefer to work it out with a pencil.

It’s fairly simple maths, in one column you list all your non-keeper player, including the bench players.

Next to each non-keeper put their current price.

In the next column put the price you think you would be able to sell that player for (example Lockhart $257k current price, sell price $307k)

Add up all the sell prices.

Be bold, I would include Smith as a non-keeper

I currently have 14 non-keeper players and their estimated total sell value is $4392k

I have included Bines in the calculations.

Take away from this total your bench players, assuming we can find some. Let’s assume we keep Bines and we need another 7 bench players at $123k each. That is $963k min on bench. Some will want a better bench, such as a Hoff or RGray etc, if that is case you need to factor that in. I think I can get Robbie for around $395k, therefore my bench price will be $1235k.

Take $1235k away from $4392 I have $3157 to spend on my 6 keepers.

That works out to be $526k per keeper.

To be a bit more scientific, I listed my preferred keepers to come in, and added up their current price. The total was $3393, leaving me $236k to ‘find’.

To ‘find’ I mean another good rookie, another trade.

To hatch this plan, I will need 14 trades (replacing my 13 non-keepers (Bines stays) with 6 keepers, 6 rookies and 1 decent DPP bench cover, plus 1 more rookie upgrade). I only have 19 trades.

I suggest everyone does a bit of math this week, either working out what your average keeper buy price is with what you have and good luck staying under your budget, or taking the next step and calculate how much you need to ‘find’ to get to your best team. For me, it might be Neale becomes a Bont to get there.

Let us know what your numbers look like

    redherringfc · 21/05/2019 at 17:50

I admire your dedication and mathematical ability.

I’ve gone to as much trouble as I can working out I need 6 premiums; being Lloyd, Laird, Boak, Merret (having trouble finding mid 8, could be Bont) Kelly and Kelly. I’m working on 2 trades per premium, plus one extra to cover that week where I fall just short. So 13 in total. That leaves me with 6 trades. And full premium round 14 or 15.

I’ll burn 2 to generate some extra cash before finals. So 4 going into finals if I avoid LTI. I’m going for league glory, but could all fall apart in the preliminaries (or earlier).

    COREYSC · 21/05/2019 at 18:57

So I did the Calculations mate and I came up with 513K per premium as my average buying price
My trade plans will have me 13 trades left after the byes with B.Smith, B.Crouch and Young as my D6, M8 and F6
So full premium round 15 or 16 but with those three as my final three B.Smith and B.Crouch could be keepers so upgrading Young, B.Crouch and B.Smith would leave me with 5-6 left coming into finals

    TommyC99 · 22/05/2019 at 01:11

Really like your thinking Derek, but what about players such as Hayes and Stocker? Who we are questioning whether they will even get a game let alone be able to predict how much they will make? Would you just work it out as if they will play the next few weeks? ie Hayes is 201k with a 34 BE you’d hope he could get to 230-235k at some stage?

      Derek · 22/05/2019 at 09:27

you Need a bit of flexibility and run some low number and some high numbers.

Hayes could score 100 on the weekend.

If you factor he will get $250 but you end up dumping him for $210, you need to ‘find’ another $40k or Hawkins becomes Buddy.

    Lekdog · 23/05/2019 at 08:38

    I love this

      Derek · 23/05/2019 at 09:37

      i think Higgo would approve

Ken · 21/05/2019 at 10:48

Is marshall a good get as f6? He's averaging 97 for the season and scored a 90 against Grundy and is pretty cheap at 430k … Will he continue to be the number 1 ruck at saints till seasons end…surely?

    Ken · 21/05/2019 at 11:19

      Brn · 22/05/2019 at 19:32

Due to injuries I'm brining him in this week.

Won't be able to get to full prem otherwise, and reckon he is good to hold his 98 average. Consistent, and guess we will see how high his ceiling is

    Russty_ · 22/05/2019 at 22:27

Could do worse Ken, he's the number 1 Ruck now and is owning the spot, can kick goals and does good things around the ground as well….. like taking contested marks, and tackling.
If Longer takes his spot from here I'll eat my hat!

Stacky23 · 21/05/2019 at 10:59

Thoughts on going early on Connor blakely as a bit of a pod?
Also is it smart to hold rookies with job security such as Stack and Duursma as no rookies really fill me with confidence

    Derek · 21/05/2019 at 11:10

They just become the last ones traded, especially if they are playing round 13

Nozzy · 21/05/2019 at 11:25

1. Worth trading Duursma out in order to get Whitfield?
2. Or do I keep Duursma for byes and trade Hore instead?
3. Trade Drew out for Boak?
4. Petch and Setterfield -> Boak and Young?

Any advice appreciated

    Sj34 · 21/05/2019 at 12:10

Traded Whitfield in at worst possible time, stuck fat and have been rewarded. Top 3 defender. Won’t get much cheaper imo

    Derek · 21/05/2019 at 13:43

    get Whitfield now.

Boak you get round 13 after his bye

      Soothsayer · 21/05/2019 at 20:34

      Whitfield or Lloyd?

        Derek · 21/05/2019 at 21:39

Purely bye round for me. I need r13 players, so Whitfield.

Am worried that Melbourne will tag him again

SJ34 · 21/05/2019 at 12:00

Moore and duursma to rookie (young, atley or Garner) and either Hurn or Lloyd?

Who’s a more important in? Lloyd or Hurn?

Also trying to decide if Tom Stewart is a top 6?

Also open to other suggestions.

Whitfield, Sicily, Smith, Hore, Duursma, Scrimshaw, (Clark, Answerth)

Cripps, Mcrae, Fyfe, Kelly, O’Meara, Rockliff, B Crouch, Walsh, (gibbons, setterfield, Hayes)

Gawn, Mumford, fort

Boak, danger, Kelly, Greene, Moore, drew, (Balta, Corbett)

Holty01 · 21/05/2019 at 12:26

Great pod guys.πŸ‘
21 trades left 22k
Had a average week but strangely enough if I had Corbett on field instead of bloody Setterfield I’d be sitting 15 overall. Can’t complain though as I’ve been fairly lucky with my rookies onfield this year.
Hopefully this week will bring some luck to the community as last week was horrendous

    dontblushbaby · 21/05/2019 at 13:19

There is only 100 approx points between 4th and your rank of 26, a few good scores will see you up there Brad ,the bye rounds might be where you can get an edge ? do you have a plan ? good luck mate

      Holty01 · 21/05/2019 at 13:44

Cheers mate. I have a plan but whether it works or not is the question. I always seen to rocket up the ranks in the bye rounds but never been this high before so might be different.
Ps, just noticed I had u in Lek & Patches rabble. Certainly not a good week to play you mate. Once again fantastic score

    Lekdog · 23/05/2019 at 08:39

    You’re a gun

Daniel · 21/05/2019 at 14:18

Double upgrade for me this week.
First upgrade is Walsh to Macrae. Not set on the second yet though.

Who to upgrade Duursma to, Whitfield or T. Kelly?

Any thoughts would be great.

    MAD MIKE · 21/05/2019 at 15:29

Whitfield easy choice mate. I'd take Neale over Macrae if you don't already have him.

      Sana · 21/05/2019 at 15:58

Whitfield the better bye for most teams too.

        Twilightingale · 21/05/2019 at 16:11

Most teams would have 2 or all 3 off Laird, Williams, Smith. All have the same bye as Whitfield

          TommyC99 · 22/05/2019 at 01:14

Def is looking heavy round 14 but should be able to get 19-20’playing pretty comfortably if you semi planned

      Daniel · 21/05/2019 at 16:11

      Yeah already got Neale.

PizzaSafety · 21/05/2019 at 14:49

Dangerfield to Noah Balta is the perfect arbitrage move.

steveclarke07 · 21/05/2019 at 16:27

Hurn or Whitfield? Who to get in this week? Probably can’t afford the other for awhile!

Lloyd, Williams, Smith, Hore, Duursma and Paton (Answorth, McKay) with $150k in the bank

    BaltaGoat · 21/05/2019 at 16:30

Balta our scores the pair of them if you can use Darcy Moore’s swing

    redherringfc · 21/05/2019 at 18:00

I think if you get Whitfield this week and Hurn in a couple (as opposed to the other way) you’ll do it for less money.

    Lekdog · 23/05/2019 at 08:39

dontblushbaby · 21/05/2019 at 17:13

I am looking at Dusty, watched him live last sunday and he looked good , more involved and hunted the ball, plays Round 12 , only 503k , BE – 73 , could be value imo to get to full premo

Going to the Dreamtime game and that might even sway more to bring him in

    UpBeat · 21/05/2019 at 19:34

I agree he's very tempting. Soldo's tap work helped Dusty get into the game and perform like we know he can. If Soldo gets rubbed out I hope the Tigers can replace him. Not sure.who with maybe Balta?

    Swans2012 · 21/05/2019 at 22:59

I’ve also been considering this dbb, both him and heeney look great value, just gotta get my head around possibly trading in 2 blokes I traded out earlier! Heeney @450k is tempting me more than Martin!

      Russty_ · 21/05/2019 at 23:20

He's a gun midfielder if he's in the midfield Swans,..if he's stuck fwd he scores like shit. re Heeney

        Derek · 22/05/2019 at 22:39

He scores well in forward line as long as swans are playing well (or easy opponent) and the ball is getting to the forward line.

Collingwood, Cats and WCE are their next 3 matches

    Russty_ · 22/05/2019 at 22:47

Still wouldn't trust Dusty to deliver for you in the final weeks dbb, he seems to just pick his weeks to appear to really care about Football.

GloryDays94 · 21/05/2019 at 17:15

Hey Guys any help and suggestions is welcome.
Thinking I need to downgrade atleast Parker this week, probably hold Gibbons for one more.

19 trades and only 14k in the bank

Hurn, Laird, Williams, Smith, Hore, Duursma (Answerth, Burgess)

Cripps, MacRae, Fyfe, Treloar, Crouch, Steele, Walsh, Gibbons (Hayes, Scott, Ross)

Gawn, Goldstein (Sweet)

Boak, Dangerfield, Kelly, Heeney, Dunkley, Setterfield (Corbett, Parker)

    Sj34 · 21/05/2019 at 20:35

Duursma to Whitfield or alternatively Lloyd. Gotta get them in

    NO means YES · 21/05/2019 at 22:05

Always read, rarely reply. See a lot of questions asked that never get an answer so here's one for you GD94 .. Probably hold on your backline this week and hope Answerth gets a game. If you can find some cash from the other lines you can potentially do the double upgrade with Hore and Duursma in the next couple weeks. With only 19 trades left and 14g's Burgess may have to become a season-long captain loophole (haven't checked game times for GC).

Rucks can hold too as realistically Goldy to Grundy is the only move and both will probably hold at around current prices.

Forwards has hopefully 5 keepers but might not be not much money (or points) in those rookies. Setterfield has last bye + DPP so hold him and hope he keeps playing.

That leaves the mids where you have 1 stud, 1 steer, 2 spuds and a wounded soldier. The best move is probably a double down this week with a view to at least one upgrade the following round. Despite the points he is giving you Walsh needs to go. Just my opinion but with the lack of decent rookie options, let alone any bubble boys, his replacement should be someone you think may get a game post byes or in the latter rounds. See Baron's Round the Grounds for informed potential options. Someone like Nick Hind, who is yet to debut but got games in the pre-season, would be one you could look at. Gibbons shouldn't lose too much cash if you hold for a week or so. Also, he has that Rd 14 bye. Hayes may not get selected but only brings 80-100g's to the treasury's coffers. Scott is maybe another option for season long captain loophole (got concussed in B grade) and also brings nothing to the kitty. Ross wont be back for a while so he could be sent to market. I'd look to find another future rookie with DPP (Mid/For). Allowing for 2 rooks @ $117,000 you will have a warchest of about $450,000. Next week probably upgrade Duursma for around 200g's, leaving you with 250,000 or so and 16 trades. With that balance you should be able to paint the fence through the byes to a full premium side.

Ryan · 21/05/2019 at 17:49

Need some helps lads

I really need to do some downgrades because even though im ranked 2000 I got Clark and Answerth on the field with no money in the bank with not many rookies to downgrade. Should I go early on Atley and young for Atkins and Setterfield so next week I can upgrade Clark next week or just wait out on Clark till the byes

    Saritz · 21/05/2019 at 19:09

I think hold Setterfield until his bye if you can, but keep him on your bench. Ignore his scoring last round, he simply had a shocker (like the rest of his team mates). He is working into the year/career slowly but he has talent! I think he is capable of some 80+ games and Carlton has a good month of opponents

TelescopicCox · 21/05/2019 at 17:52

Early move is Wilkie & O’Brien to Atley & Whitfield. Thoughts? FWD line is still weak so will depend on Dangers availability

    TommyC99 · 22/05/2019 at 01:17

I don’t mind it personally. Except I’m going early on young. I’d be a little concerned about Atley with Drew dominating the SANFL. Although the same could be said re Young’s overall scoring potential

    Flash · 22/05/2019 at 09:43

i reckon hately will get named if cognilio doesnt get up to play so if u don't have him i'd recommend

Shake_n_bake · 21/05/2019 at 19:11

McEvoy out for up to 6 weeks

    Soothsayer · 21/05/2019 at 20:36

    Goodbye hawks

Sj34 · 21/05/2019 at 20:36

Who’s a more important in? Lloyd or Hurn? Already have Whitfield, would struggle to get the other in the week after

    Soothsayer · 21/05/2019 at 20:51

I’m trying to decide between Lloyd and Whitfield, I think burn is too high at the moment

    Soothsayer · 21/05/2019 at 20:56

Saw earlier you were looking to get Whitfield. If you got Lloyd and him you can’t go wrong….. unless you do.

Soothsayer · 21/05/2019 at 20:53

What ever happened to Tobe Watson from freo? I thought he was likely to get early games.

    Saritz · 21/05/2019 at 21:09

Didn’t Stuart Dew eat him after one of their pre-season games? I think it was him

      Kym · 22/05/2019 at 18:41

      That was just an entree

Rich_Mahogany · 21/05/2019 at 21:42

Is Ben Cunnington a genuine supercoach option? Current average of 112 with a low of 91, seems to be a lot of upside and no one is really looking at him. Just wary that he's never been a true supercoach option in past years and I could be getting sucked in

    Flash · 22/05/2019 at 09:41

i've got him, great undercover POD choice bro

      Rich_Mahogany · 22/05/2019 at 09:51

Yeah 2% of teams with that average has me seriously considering him. Its kind of a toss between him, Sloane or Treloar for what I can afford and the POD factor might do it for me.

        Flash · 22/05/2019 at 09:59

I also have Luke Parker who has served me well posting a 150+ last week and Treloar who has scored over 100 the last 5 weeks

        Flash · 22/05/2019 at 10:00

My other POD i would recommend is Elliot Yeo who is on fire

          Maverick_ · 22/05/2019 at 12:03

As a treloar owner id be staying clear.
He scores 50 in three quarters then somehow finds 50 in the last to ton up. It’s a very painful 2 hours when the pies play every week. Yeo looks good if u don’t mind his bye

TommyC99 · 21/05/2019 at 22:39

I hate trading in rookies early but ive only got 50k in the bank and i think i need to get Whitfield in ASAP. Don't think hes gonna shoot up in price but should feast in the dees and suns in the next couple of weeks.

ROB – Young
Parker – Whitfield (Burgess swings to fwd line, him and moore on same line)

I was hoping to hold ROB till round 14 so could get an extra player on field for round 13, but thinking whitfield is too good to pass up on. I also liked the look of Garner so i could trade Scrim/duursma – Garner instead, but im hoping to hold at least one of those 2 during the few couple of byes.
Any thoughts would be great guys. Happy to post my team if it helps!

    Rocksta_ · 21/05/2019 at 22:58

ROB to Young, Parker to Whitfield sounds good TC. I wanted to make the exact same trade myself but had to go ROB to Young, Parker to Sicily instead as don’t have the coin for Whitfield. ROB has done his job as a cash cow assuming as I you don’t actually take his score on field ( I have Gawn and Grundy). Too long to hold him until Rd 14 IMO

      Russty_ · 21/05/2019 at 23:04

He's absolutely a cash cow Rocksta, ripe for the milking.
You either brought him in to convert to a fwd or other premo or to be your actual ruck, either way, we all need Gawn and Grundy eventually.

        Browncow · 22/05/2019 at 00:01

Planning to use my ROB money to turn Drew into McCrae. Hopefully bank 50 points a week and maybe save a donut this weekend.

          Derek · 22/05/2019 at 09:29

Jacobs is listed as 1 week on crows injury list.

Bez · 22/05/2019 at 09:29

Mcevoy out for Fort??

Is it too risky

    Nozzy · 22/05/2019 at 09:31

would leave me with 400k as I dont have a whole lot of cash gen comimg up.

    Flash · 22/05/2019 at 09:52

Fort's job security could be very risky so if he can manage to stay in the side then its a good trade

    Rick · 22/05/2019 at 10:50

Don't do it. Once Fort gets dropped $117 doesn't buy you much as a replacement.

      Maverick_ · 22/05/2019 at 11:59

I don’t recommend it at all. I went Goldy to ROB on the bubble banked 400k and I don’t think it paid off at all now I’m left scratching my head wondering how I’ll afford grundy.

    DavidC · 22/05/2019 at 13:26

Stanley and the Rat should be back this week. Abbott and Fort probable outs.

    Derek · 22/05/2019 at 22:31

    You wouldn’t sleep at night

    Russty_ · 22/05/2019 at 22:34

I think Fort was just an experiment to see if he could cut it, he was pretty average in JLT from memory, they've already said Stanley and Ratagoolies will come back in if fit, so forget Fort for now, make other plans.

    Russty_ · 22/05/2019 at 22:50

Hi Bez, if you had Big boy as your R2, I'd suggest trading a cashed up rookie and Big Mac for someone like Grundy or Gawn.
You need em both anyway, now could be the time to get what you need.

FeverVFX · 22/05/2019 at 09:50

Thoughts on my current team?

D: Hurn, Whitfield, Smith, Witherden, Hore, Duursma (lockhart, ainsworth)
M: Cripps, Fyfe, Macrae, Treloar, Parker, M Crouch, Rockliff, Walsh (gibbons, stocker, hayes)
R: Grundy, Goldstein (o'brien)
F: Kelly, Dangerfield, Billings, Dahlhaus, Baker, Drew (wicks, bolton)

16 trades left
– already made my first trade being darcy moore to hurn and i now have $15000 in the bank so probs gonna hold but stuck on what to do in following weeks to come

    Derek · 22/05/2019 at 22:31

Why Moore. He is a better player than a lot of the rookies you have?

I’d look at getting rid of your rookies first

Not sure Hurn will be good for your byes. Plus you are paying overs for him.

      FeverVFX · 22/05/2019 at 23:29

Damn didn’t see it that way thank you, helping me not shoot myself in the foot come to bye rounds, which rookies would you recommend trading out? Possibly Duursma or offload on O’brien?

        FeverVFX · 22/05/2019 at 23:37

Also not a lot of good cheap guys on the bubble to come in this week

Shake_n_bake · 22/05/2019 at 11:11

Williams out this week

    TommyC99 · 22/05/2019 at 11:30

    Just this week shake?

      Maverick_ · 22/05/2019 at 11:57

Leon only confirmed this week Tommy but we know how conservative GWS are with injuries. The way I’m burning trades and little cash generation I have I may be forced to hold no matter the length.

        Unsullied · 22/05/2019 at 12:53

Afl website says could be a couple of weeks.
        Hopefully they're wrong.

Shake_n_bake · 22/05/2019 at 11:14

Collins won’t play

    Lazza · 22/05/2019 at 12:24

Our for 6 weeks – confirmed by GCS

    TelescopicCox · 22/05/2019 at 16:41

Hopefully a recall for Burgess down back

      Pranav · 22/05/2019 at 17:14

Burgess plays as a small forward unfortunately

TelescopicCox · 22/05/2019 at 13:05

No Moore this week. Coupled with no Williams and possibly no Danger, could be a rough week

    TommyC99 · 22/05/2019 at 13:36

Already carnage and its only Wednesday arvo!

    Daz · 22/05/2019 at 14:57

50% of the comp will be in the same boat, should make this week interesting.

    Maverick_ · 22/05/2019 at 16:21

Danger should play. Just milking it again looking for the media spotlight his a show pony I’ll be surprised if he misses TC.

Gainsy · 22/05/2019 at 13:19

Looking at duursma to whitfield and walsh to neale. Had been waiting for neale to have a bad game but…

KeenButClueless · 22/05/2019 at 13:48

Having a very bad season, but this week will be a new low point

Zac Jones

Crouch – test

Hayes – form may see them dumped

Bines – already certified as dead

Looking at multiple donuts.

Really want to trade Parker, but with that list, he may survive.

Can we get this week over and move on to next week?

    Yeahnah · 22/05/2019 at 14:39

Sheesh I thought I was in a rough position

    TommyC99 · 22/05/2019 at 14:41

Yeah its been a tough few weeks Keen. Thought i had my trades locked in loaded this week but already a few outs. Very concerned with Hayes, if he gets dropped its probably the end of him. Answerth SHOULD still get picked with Bailey out. Crouch was close to boarding the plane last week so logic suggests he should be right, then again Moore was originally picked last week and still hasn't gotten up for this week.

    Holty01 · 22/05/2019 at 17:39

Ouch Keen. I have all except Lycett and Jones.

Maverick_ · 22/05/2019 at 15:37

Paddy Dangerfield is such a drama queen. Why does he feel he needs to over exaggerate injuries? It’s been reported he’s made a rapid recovery, off crutches and a great chance to play this weekend. Fingers crossed he plays against GC it’s not like the cats will need him so I can see a rest coming after two ‘injuries’. I Have williams & Moore our already with limited options on the bench who I trust.

    COREYSC · 22/05/2019 at 18:38

I don't think he makes a big deal the media just overreacted as usual!! Everytime Paddy gets injured the world panics I never worry like I've said many times this season the man is unbreakable!

Dash · 22/05/2019 at 16:07

For those who held Libba like me! he has lost 87K since he spiked at 493K. Do I just hold for now until the Round 12 Bye?

    KSinny · 22/05/2019 at 16:33

May aswell unless u can upgrade with 1 trade

      Dash · 22/05/2019 at 16:38

Unfortunately I only have 20K which makes him a bit hard to shift, unless I downgrade a Parker or Collins, then I could go to another mid. Just not sure if it's great value though, considering he has dropped so much and continues to with a BE of 95. Playing kangaroos I think, so could hope for a miracle.

        KSinny · 22/05/2019 at 16:50

Yeh probably just hold until after his bye and hope he doesn't lose too much more cash. Who knows maybe bevo puts hi back in the guts and he starts spitting our 100's again.

          Derek · 22/05/2019 at 18:42

Yes. Hold him and play him, he should do better than what the rookies are doing. And like the rookies, he just needs one good score to turn it around and jump back to $450k+

If you still have rookies on field, I know it’s tempting to deal with other issues like Libba, but the elimination of the rookies off your field must be priority.

If Libba ends up as your M8, you’ve done a good job.

Insert Walsh for Libba In above

    Derek · 22/05/2019 at 16:50

hold him until all the rookies have gone

      Nick · 22/05/2019 at 17:07

Hey Derek would you give the same advice re Hoff. I held him two weeks ago based on some bad advice here which I now regret. He has lost even more is he now worth keeping , given his current price or will he continue to spud up?

        Derek · 22/05/2019 at 18:37

I got Hoff two weeks ago. I thought he had bottomed in price.

I will 100% hold him as my F7/R3 cover

He should be doing better but with Dixon out he has been playing fullforward.

He should get a boost this week with Lycett out, he should get a bit of the centre work.

      Dash · 22/05/2019 at 17:31

Do you think Walsh is the same too? Just hold and hope he keeps punching out 80s until the bye?

        Derek · 22/05/2019 at 18:44

Yes. Get rid of all the other rookies first. If Walsh slips to M8 you have done well.

KSinny · 22/05/2019 at 16:31

DEF: Sicily, Williams, Smith, Moore, Answerth, Hore (Burgess, Lockhart)

MID: Macrae, Cripps, Gaff, Sloane, M. Crouch, Fyfe, Walsh, Duursma
(Hayes, Scott, Gibbons)

RUC: Gawn, Grundy (O'Brien)

FWD: Danger, Heeney, Kelly, Boak, Marshell, Petruccelle (Balta, Bines)

Hey community, would really appreciate some advice on my team, currently thinking on going ROB to Young and Moore to either Neale or Whitfield. I've got 20 trades and $30k. Thanks guys

    Derek · 22/05/2019 at 22:25

Can you keep Moore? Or you just think he has to go? Or you trading him just to avoid a donut

I would trade out ROB and Petruccrlle to Young and Whitfield ( swing Moore forward and play Balta on field.

Derek · 22/05/2019 at 16:44

The following teams had immunity this week

Div 1 – Mumford_and_slugs
Div 2 – Tydesy22
Div 3 – Stompers
Div 4 – demons delight
Div 5 – Holt

This became very important this week, In Division 2, Tydesy22 had the second lowest score but was able to use their immunity to dump Treloar and Order out of the competition instead of them. lives to fight another day. bad luck there Treloar and order.

As per the rules of the competition, the two lowest weekly scores from each division are eliminated each week, unless you have immunity.

This weeks Eliminated teams are:

Div 1 – The Try Agains & Sure Betts

Div 2 – Scorpions FC & Treloar and Order

Div 3 – Lear's Misfits & Boodetime

Div 4 – Rust Buckets & K.Sinny

Div 5 – Shinboners & Peck's Wunderteam

I have removed the above teams from the game.

This weeks top scorers all have immunity this week, getting to the pointy end, this will be very important.

Div 1 – The Nakia 3310s (2283)
Div 2 – dontclushbaby (2404)
Div 3 – Kick it to me @SCT (2284)
Div 4 – King Winter (2279)
Div 5 – Cramit(2272)

Down to the last 8 (9 in one division) and only two weeks to go before we have out finalists, if you can grab the immunity necklace this week you are guaranteed to make it to the Champions league.

Champions League will start after the byes.

Good luck everyone

    Maverick_ · 22/05/2019 at 16:53

Thanks for running this Derek it was a great competition & something different! The injuries and outs got too me this week unfortunately.

    TommyC99 · 22/05/2019 at 17:07

Jeez i'm the first unlucky victim of the immunity neckless. Ah well surprised i made it this far. Loved the concept derek. Good luck everyone else!

      Derek · 22/05/2019 at 18:31

I think immunity necklace was used twice in the very first round.

You were very unlucky as there was about 80pts between the bottom 2 and you.

    Holty01 · 22/05/2019 at 17:51

    Awesome again Derek

      Derek · 22/05/2019 at 18:33

As the weeks go by it’s getting tougher to stay alive.

40 teams left but 10 will be eliminated this week and 10 the next week. Half the remaining will go.

        dontblushbaby · 22/05/2019 at 19:35

Excellent work mate , with the injuries this week I might need the immunity

    Russty_ · 22/05/2019 at 20:15

I knew my number would be up this week with my cruddy score, good stuff Derek thanks, this was fun.

      Derek · 22/05/2019 at 22:16

At the pointy end, one slip and gone. Bad luck mate.

        Russty_ · 22/05/2019 at 22:30

Cheers Derek, but actually bad choices this week, could've done much better but them's the breaks, it was still a blast and I made the top 12 πŸ™‚

    NoLanguage96 · 22/05/2019 at 22:16

See ya guys! My worst week of SC in two years not cracking 2k πŸ™

    Loop · 23/05/2019 at 15:05

Nooooo….that sounds like the Survivor that just finished. Two players had survived all the twists and turns and the voted out dude got the chance to come back in and then beat them.
I agree that its been a highlight, its the first thing I check each week.

Unsullied · 22/05/2019 at 16:47

In the same boat, I'm not giving him the satisfaction of trading him until the bye. He wont drop much more in price. And even his crappy scores are better than some of the rookies. eg: Carlton's.

Daz · 22/05/2019 at 16:53

AFL.com reports ZWilliams is done for a couple with his hammy. Playing for rank do you trade him? I have Answerth and Clark as cover and after their turds on the weekend trading to whitfield seems like a good idea and may net a bonus 100-200 points over playing a rookie for 2 weeks.

    Hazey · 23/05/2019 at 06:39

I'm wondering if they'll just give him a test until after their bye?

      Hazey · 23/05/2019 at 07:02

      A rest*

TRIGGA_HAPPY · 22/05/2019 at 17:24

With the carnage already might consider upgrading Walsh or Rob.

Granted they are both playing but rob is on the bench so making money only.

So have a rook or two on field in mids and def.

Williams out. This would mean 3 in def.
Upgrade Rob to hurn back to two.

Crouch doubtful. Danger?
Upgrade Walsh to Neale again have 2 rooks on ground instead of 3.

Will wait on teams but think time to say thanks but off you go else too many rooks on deck.

    TOPHAWK1 · 22/05/2019 at 19:38

Hi Trigga. If ROB is just sitting on your bench as a cash cow, then I would cull him NOW! Has a BE of 84 and may still make a little more cash, but I would turn him into Fort or a ruc patsy and then use the cash for a massive upgrade this week. Grab Hurn or Lloyd right now if you can. I have a different opportunity to cash in ROB. I can swing Westhoff to R2 with Bines DPP and then trade out ROB for a $262K profit. Then pull a set of two double upgrades. One this week and then one next week.

      Derek · 22/05/2019 at 22:19

I’m holding ROB, I need warm bodies for round 13.

    Sam_01 · 23/05/2019 at 08:32

Hey trig I’m in a similar spot with spud rookies and 0s floating around, I need to sure up my fwd line
I wanted to keep ROB but he is doing me no favours by sitting on my bench making minimal cash, maybe worth noting he plays big max next round also!
Have gone for a risky trade ROB down to Toby Greene to finnish my fwd line and Darcy Moore up to Whitfield

Brn · 22/05/2019 at 19:21

Have just enough extra cash to trade
Williams to whitfield
Drew to R marshall

Playing for rank. Do it?

    TOPHAWK1 · 22/05/2019 at 19:32

Trade 1 yes. Not sure about trade 2. Drew should be back after running riot in the magoos last week. Drew might score well again and make you some more cash.

    FeverVFX · 22/05/2019 at 23:32

Drew if named should pump out a good score (fingers crossed)

Dan · 22/05/2019 at 21:01

I was wondering which way you think is better to upgrade to Whitfield is this week?
A) Cash in ROB to Fort/Bines, and upgrade Duursma to Whitfield
B) Straight trade from Williams to Whitfield?

    hedski · 22/05/2019 at 21:15

A with Bines if you plan on a Fwd/Ruck cover (Hoff or some such) Dan.

    FeverVFX · 22/05/2019 at 23:30

Can’t trade away premos unless Williams is gone for weeks

      Browncow · 23/05/2019 at 10:58

AFL site says Williams could miss a couple of weeks. GWS site says Williams could miss ‘at least’ a couple of weeks. Probably something in that but hard to know with GWS.

Mitch · 23/05/2019 at 01:26

G'day Community, any ideas welcomed. Thanks in advance!

22 trades and 2.7k in the bank.

Def: Hurn, Lloyd, Whitfield, Williams, Moore, Hore (Scrimshaw, Answerth)
Mid: Neale, Cripps, Macrae, Fyfe, Coniglio, Walsh, Duursma, Constable (Gibbons, Stocker, Hayes)
Ruck: Grundy, ROB (Bines)
Fwd: Kelly, Dangerfield, Dunkley, Heeney, Westhoff, Baker (Parker, Setterfield)

Westhoff needs to disappear soon.. but unfortunately have other areas to worry about!!

    Derek · 23/05/2019 at 08:10

Hold Westhoff. You have him now. Eventually he will move o F7/R3 cover.

    NoLanguage96 · 23/05/2019 at 08:19

Try and upgrade Moore if you can! I have the same problem maybe a downgrade from Duursma to Hately IF he's named in the mids

NoLanguage96 · 23/05/2019 at 08:17

Downgrade options this week? The cupboard seems bare…

Sicily, Laird Williams, Salem, Smith, Duursma (Ridley, Lockhart)
Neale, Cripps, Oliver, Macrae, MCrouch, Libba, Stack, Answerth (Atkins, Hayes, Scott)
Gawn, Goldy (Sweet)
Kelly, Danger, Heeney, Marshall, Moore, Baker (Drew, Setterfield)

19 trades and 50k

So many holes and poor players, any advice appreciated community!

    Sam_01 · 23/05/2019 at 08:39

Looking grim this week mate might have to tough it out till next round, or you could be left with a hately situation and you will need all hands on deck for byes
All I could suggest is Toby Greene like I’ve brought in this week, not sure he can be trusted but is at a good price for his potential output
    Moore to Greene?

      NoLanguage96 · 23/05/2019 at 22:33

Ironically I had both at the start and traded Toby out. Might have to rethink it thanks mate

Daz · 23/05/2019 at 11:01

May have lost the plot here, but thinking of get getting hoff in for baker to serve as an F6 for the interm (full premo fwds otherwise) then upgrade everywhere else and all going will use him as F7/ R3 with bines, will work nicely with the byes and looking at his last 5 years he hasn't really gone below 85avg. Why is he so bad this year?

    Derek · 23/05/2019 at 12:45

I did that move two weeks ago and had to put up with a couple of below average scores.

Hopefully in long term will work out

I just want some ruck cover once I sell ROB

      Daz · 23/05/2019 at 14:00

I guess my line of thinking is he will score like a rookie with the occasional ton, he plays 22 games every year, he will provide rd 13 coverage, then after that he is my cover for the run home and will loop him in for games where he goes large. I actually like Lobb better but cant go straight up from a rookie.

    Holty01 · 23/05/2019 at 13:10

Playing deep forward. His scoring won’t change unless he is allowed to roam again. They are trying to blood the young kids like Drew, Duursma and Butters and they only play through the midfield.

Shake_n_bake · 23/05/2019 at 11:25

Daniher our for the yr tough luck there and l think Madgen comes in for Langdon.

    TommyC99 · 23/05/2019 at 11:38

Saw something saying De Goey didn't travel to sydney with the main group, but collingwood injury report suggested "De Goey was given the green light." Have you heard anything on that shake?

      Shake_n_bake · 23/05/2019 at 11:42

      Yeah Degoey is out

Dunkindonuts · 23/05/2019 at 15:24

macrae Duncan or meerret or yeo? I play for leagues

    Rocksta_ · 23/05/2019 at 19:48

Creed Bratton · 23/05/2019 at 16:53

Anyone have any thoughts on Tom Stewart? Started like a top 6 defender but not sure if he can keep it up, thinking Crisp may finish stronger and is cheaper. Already have Lloyd, Whitfield and can't afford Hurn, Ryan

    Russty_ · 23/05/2019 at 19:32

I've had him in for the last month or so, I think he's a top 6 fwd, has taken his game to another level this year, and is very reliable.

    Rocksta_ · 23/05/2019 at 19:47

He’s very good and very consistent. I can’t see him dropping off. I was going to bring him in but he has the Rd 13 bye

Shake_n_bake · 23/05/2019 at 17:15

    Maverick_ · 23/05/2019 at 18:26

    No Matt

Shake_n_bake · 23/05/2019 at 18:30

Danger & Crouch still out but l get Atkins & Burgess back πŸ™

    Russty_ · 23/05/2019 at 19:30

Burgess wow what a bonus!, was gonna use the spud as my loophole but I guess there's plenty of others now haha

      Shake_n_bake · 23/05/2019 at 20:10

I was so so close going Crouch to Sloane last week. Should have now.

Sam_01 · 23/05/2019 at 18:31

Ohhh boy sign me up for another rough week
Pray to god my rookies serve me well hahah

hedski · 23/05/2019 at 18:31

No Atley or Drew is a worry.
Hayes out also, at least Cogs looks to be back, no Crouch ouch.
Might have to hold Parker again with Danger out.
It's a shit storm in my side again this week.

    Sam_01 · 23/05/2019 at 18:36

Parker, Answerth, Lockhart, wilkie and duursma all to take the field for me again after stinking it up last week
Will hately actually play and is he worth it if named as he gets dropped as soon as he takes the field every week?

      The Ranger · 23/05/2019 at 19:06

Things are bad when you're weighing up which one of Burgess or Answerth to play onfield.

    Rocksta_ · 23/05/2019 at 19:04

Same. M Crouch, Williams and Danger out. I refuse to sideways them so looks like I’ll have to run the Rookie Gauntlet for a 2nd week in a row. It turned ugly last week.

    Notorious · 23/05/2019 at 19:17

Coniglio named on the extended bench is a worry

    Shake_n_bake · 23/05/2019 at 20:14

    If Parker keeps his spot!

Holty01 · 23/05/2019 at 18:58

Oh dear. 😭

Daz · 23/05/2019 at 19:03

Don't think my soul can handle fielding setterfield again

    The Ranger · 23/05/2019 at 19:20

I actually need him to play to avoid a donut.
My souls weeping gently in a corner nursing a pint of vodka.

Sam_01 · 23/05/2019 at 19:16

Parker vs the blues surely can’t be that bad can’t it boys

The Ranger · 23/05/2019 at 19:18

Hands up who's going early on Young?

    Rocksta_ · 23/05/2019 at 19:20

    hedski · 23/05/2019 at 19:23

Not sure what to do at the moment Ranger, will need to see Sunday teams before I work it out.
Have Danger, Crouch and Williams out, ill hold them, also Drew, Hayes and Scott all missing in the guts.

      The Ranger · 23/05/2019 at 19:30

      It's horrible mate.
I have no cover in def and need Setterfield to play to avoid a donut.
Could ditch Drew for Young but I'd rather not.

        hedski · 23/05/2019 at 20:31

I'm thinking about ROB to Young and Drew to Fyfe….could save $90k and get Dusty but I don't trust him.
Not sure I trust Young either.
Or most of my team for that matter.

    TRIGGA_HAPPY · 23/05/2019 at 21:19

Will wait on teams to finalise bench for Sunday's then make a call

If hatley gets a call up.im gonna jump.on.

      Swans2012 · 23/05/2019 at 22:03

Me too trigg, but if I bring in hately I can’t afford Lloyd πŸ˜•

    Lazza · 23/05/2019 at 21:38

Might not have any choice ..🀚

JBBBBBBB · 23/05/2019 at 20:47

Does anyone know where to find your trade history now, either on the website or the app? thanks to whoever can help, cant find it.

    Hawks · 24/05/2019 at 13:16

On the website your trade history can be found by doing the following-

    Go to your team page
Select the tab 'History' at the top, I think the other options are Field and List.
Then on the box on the very right, you have the options of viewing league results or trade history

      JBBBBBBB · 24/05/2019 at 15:46

      Thank you!

TRIGGA_HAPPY · 23/05/2019 at 21:13

Hey you know how we always get that one round where you cop it from all directions and your team looks like a Swiss cheese donut?

Well it has arrived early this year.

What a shambles.
Could be some bye scores this round! 😱

    Russty_ · 23/05/2019 at 21:17

I'm wondering whether or not to trade at all this week Trig…could do, and Improve my team slightly or just not and still field a full squad, many will be struggling for decent scores this week it seems.

      TRIGGA_HAPPY · 23/05/2019 at 21:26

If setters not named got a donut up fwd as danger, drew, setters fill

      So will probably trade then

      Swans2012 · 23/05/2019 at 22:04

I try to continue as planned these sort of rounds, one up one down, and some dodgy looking rooks filling the holes lol

      NoLanguage96 · 23/05/2019 at 22:44

Week from hell. Williams, Danger, Crouch still out, Moore still out, Drew still out, Hayes omitted. Carnage everywhere:(

    Holty01 · 23/05/2019 at 21:28

It’s been 2 weeks in a row Trigga. Might need a double sideways trade this week just to fill a team.

Russty_ · 23/05/2019 at 22:11

To trade, or not to trade, that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take Arms against a Sea of troubles,
And by opposing, end them: to die, to sleep
No more; and by a sleep, to say we end, our Supercoach dreams,
The heart-ache, and the thousand natural shocks
That Flesh is heir to? 'Tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wished. To die, to sleep, to finish 9th in your league,
To sleep, perchance to Dream; aye, there's the rub,
For in that sleep of death, what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil, and missed the finals,
Must give us pause. There's the respect
That makes Calamity of so long life, and choosing the wrong strategy in Supercoach.

Shakespeare…or something similar but not really…to it.

Lazza · 23/05/2019 at 22:38

I can field a team without trading if Setterfield plays .. well not much of a team . let’s just say 22 players… so probably will go that way given the lack of downgrade options

    Russty_ · 23/05/2019 at 22:51

Might be the way to go this week Lazza, saves you trades and could win League games also….due to the widespread carnage.

      Lazza · 24/05/2019 at 00:24

I just realised I’m playing Derek in The Rat Pack … will be interesting to say the least …

      Lazza · 24/05/2019 at 00:28

And god knows I need to save trades …. haven’t been this low in trades at this stage of the season since year 1… and the team doesn’t look much better than it did in R3.

NoLanguage96 · 23/05/2019 at 22:42

Is getting Robbie Gray in at 419k a crazy move? Looking for a fwd pod

    Lekdog · 24/05/2019 at 09:36

    That is cheeeeeap

      NoLanguage96 · 26/05/2019 at 05:02

      I know. I didn't do it

LazyLex · 23/05/2019 at 22:57

This week I'll be missing
Williams, Crouch, Danger, Drew, Collins, Parker, Stocker
So that's a fwd donut unless I trade.
I don't have whitfield or lloyd.
my backline is Hurn, ZWilliams, BSmith, Hore, Duursma, Scrimshaw, Lockhart, Collins. with Williams out I have lockhart or Answerth onfield and no bench cover.

fwd line Danger, Kelly, Dunkley, Marshall, Lobb, Balta, Drew, Parker. DONUT unless I trade

    KSinny · 23/05/2019 at 22:59

Collins out for 6 weeks so trade him

      LazyLex · 23/05/2019 at 23:18

I agree Collins is deadwood KS and I've worked out the who to trade out bit without any problems.
The bit that I wanted suggestions on was who to bring in
Keeper outs this week are Danger, Crouch, Willams and I want to get at least one new premo to replace them without trading any of them. at the moment Smith,Hore are my D2,3
I also must also get a fwd to avoid a donut
I only have 147k in bank and Collins is only worth 291k

    LazyLex · 23/05/2019 at 22:59

Any suggestions on how to get whitfield/Lloyd and avoid a fwd donut without wasting a trade?

NoLanguage96 · 23/05/2019 at 22:58

Drew to Young and Ridley to Whitfield or Lloyd…

COREYSC · 23/05/2019 at 23:52

Got a feeling the Panic Room will be the biggest yet, don't think there ever has been a round (other then a bye round) with so many outs and so little solutions (rookies) to then fix (upgrade) our teams

    Lekdog · 24/05/2019 at 09:36

    May Kev bless us all

TelescopicCox · 24/05/2019 at 09:04

Thoughts on going O'Brien & Drew to Young & Whitfield via multiple DPP's.

End result is having to play Answerth on field in the middle and having Setterfield as my F7 emergency.

Other option is to bring in are Boak or Neale (would leave with $400.00 bank)

    TOPHAWK1 · 24/05/2019 at 09:30

I dont mind you culling those two. Both rookies who have maxed. I punted Moore and Drew last week. No regrets. This week I am seriously thinking of culling ROB as well and swing Westhoff into the ruck. Can you afford Hately if he makes the cut today? I reckon ROB and Drew to Hately and Whitfield if you can afford that. I am eyeing Jake Lloyd this week. Hope you nail the trades mate.

      TelescopicCox · 24/05/2019 at 11:05

If Hately is named that will be a god send. Not sold on Young but there's slim pickings.

sick dog · 24/05/2019 at 09:41

Mark · 24/05/2019 at 16:58

hey guys should I trade walsh to josh Kelly or fyfe?

    Gen · 24/05/2019 at 17:19

Pman · 24/05/2019 at 19:11

I have both having brought in Kelly last week, that said I'd go Fyfe out of the two as my first priority.

Murray · 27/05/2019 at 14:02

I have 200k in the bank and COULD go Grundy to Grundy in 1 trade. Should I do it or is just a luxury trade?

Goldy seems to be coming good at long last
