Heroes, Villains & The Damned | Round 5

Published by Community Member on

The Heroes

A sold out Gabba watched helplessly as the Pies demolished the Lions. Adam Treloar (150) had the ball on the string, while Brody Mihocek (117) bagged four goals in the 62-point win.

Only Hugh McCluggage (105) managed triple figures for the Lions, who’s turning out to be a solid POD pick.

Good Friday footy in Melbourne was anything but good, as North Melbourne proved once again they don’t deserve the spotlight.

Zach Merrett (137) has been in red-hot form after round one and continued on in that fashion, while POD selection Orazio Fantasia (130) snagged four goals.

Dylan Shiel (120) had another good game for the Bombers, while Todd Goldstein (99) got as close to a ton without getting there in the big loss.

Dylan Shiel (120) had another good game for the Bombers, while Todd Goldstein (99) got as close to a ton without getting there in the big loss.

Port Adelaide rocked the apple cart a bit when they upset the reigning premiers over at Optus Stadium.

Sam Gray (127) had his best game this season, while Ollie Wines (110) had his first game back as his usual self, even saying post game it was the first time this year he’s felt good.

Travis Boak (95) copped a tag and still managed a solid score.

Brad Sheppard (124) and Shannon Hurn (121) were the best for the losing Eagles.

The Dockers upset the Giants in a good win at the much-renowned UNSW Stadium. Michael Walters (139), Ed Langdon (133), and Matt Taberner (121) had huge games to help the Dockers get the win.

Stephen Coniglio (102) keeps getting tons, but needs to convert those 100-105’s to 120-150’s. Zac Williams (91) had another good game despite the loss.

The Saints cleaned up the Demons over the Easter Weekend (surprised?), with Dean Kent (123) cleaning up his old side.

Max Gawn (126) was dominant as ever despite the loss, whereas Jack Steele (103) had another good game.

Dion Prestia (121) and Dustin Martin (115) found some form against the Swans, and helped the Tigers over the line on Saturday night. Jake Lloyd (111) was consistent as ever, while Isaac Heeney (98) just fell short of the triple figures after a fortnight of 130s.

Brodie Smith (110) had a great game against the Suns, with David Mackay (121), Cam Ellis-Yolmen (108), Matt Crouch (108), Rory Sloane (104), Rory Adkins (102), Lachlan Murphy (101), Brad Crouch (100) and Eddie Betts (100) all tonning up against Gold Coast. Charlie Ballard (103) and Pearce Hanley (100) scored well for the Suns.

Harry MacKay (153) dominated for the Blues in their first win (shoutout to LekDog), while Sam Petrevski-Seton (136) had a huge game as well.

Easter Monday football saw Tim Kelly (129) and Pat Dangerfield (127) dominate in the win. Ricky Henderson (133) continued his great form for the Hawks in the loss.

The Villains

Lachie Neale (91) was trusted with many players’ vice captaincy, and had his worst return this season. Stefan Martin (63) isn’t in a huge number of sides, but was up against it with Grundy and didn’t dominate.

Tom Rockliff (90) was a let down after so many people traded the fantasy footy pig into their sides, while Robbie Gray (45) had a shocker.

Elliott Yeo (86) and Dom Sheed (66) didn’t do much to help their sides on Friday.

Lachie Whitfield (86) had a poor game (relative to what his owners are used to), and Tim Taranto (67) was quiet by his standards.

Rowan Marshall (50) came up against Max Gawn and couldn’t replicate his form this season so far.

Seb Ross (66) was quiet in the win, while Angus Brayshaw (82) is yet to produce form similar to his run home last season.

Jack Macrae (97) let down many sides that had faith in him for a double score this round.

Sam Menegola (50) let down those who selected him as a POD pick, and if Tom Hawkins (73) kicked straight he’d have 100+. Tom Scully (43) had 19 touches but was ineffective.

The Prodigies

Brayden Ham (44) debuted for Essendon after coming in late for David Zaharakis and was quiet, but should play more this season at some stage.

Bailey Scott (41) came back in after a week out and wasn’t superb. He should hold his spot as last week he was rested, but his cash generation will cease if he can’t get his hands on the footy more.

Willem Drew (105) has been the best performing rookie to date (minus Walsh), and despite a quiet fortnight after Wines returned, Drew looks to have regained his mojo and is a lock for your starting forward rookie spot.

Zac Butters (74) was back with a good game after a quiet game last week, while Connor Rozee (65) and Xavier Duursma (64) had games that were consistent with their respective seasons so far.

Jack Petruccelle (100) had a Rising Star quality game of footy, snagging plenty of goals and looking like he’s cementing his spot in the West Coast forward line.

Jackson Hately (95) came in to replace Callan Ward, and looks to be a like-for-like replacement of the skipper. Big bodied, well skilled, and ready for AFL footy, Hately will hold his spot, and will make serious coin. Look to downgrade to him after next week.

Callum Wilkie (66) and Matthew Parker (51) were serviceable for the Saints, but Parker’s use is starting to wear thin after being quiet since his first two rounds.

Marty Hore (96) has been welcomed back into the Demons’ line up and is smacking out big scores. Liam Baker (87) and Sydney Stack (80) scored well in their second and third matches with their prices to rise exponentially, but Jack Ross (57) wasn’t as influential. If he holds his spot (he should), he’ll make cash.

James Rowbottom (46) made his debut, but will fight to hold his spot after a quiet night. He can potentially be a good inside midfielder, but will take time to develop.

Sam Collins (46) and Chris Burgess (26) had quiet games for the Suns on Sunday night.

Sam Walsh (112) has quickly established himself as arguably Carlton’s second best player, and Michael Gibbons (104) had a bit of a breakout game for himself.

Will Hayes (70) and Lachie Young (42) debuted for the Dogs, and both should play some footy this season. Hayes in particular was good, while Young went missing a bit.

James Cousins (45) and Jack Scrimshaw (63) disappointed with inconsistent scoring. With Carlton next week, look to hold as they hopefully score better. Jordan Clark (44) was disappointing as well, however Tom Atkins (63) and Gryan Miers (78) were more serviceable.

The Damned

Harris Andrews (60) left the ground in the third quarter and didn’t return with a hamstring complaint.

He was icing it but he may miss some time. Sam Powell-Pepper (86) hurt his calf in the last quarter and iced it for the rest of the game, while Justin Westhoff (67) had his highest score since round one. Yikes (If you traded Gawn/Grundy for Westhoff after round one, you deserve all the pain you’re receiving).

Tom MacDonald (33) has looked lost this season, with the defender-turned-forward unable to score so far this year. Cross him off your lists until he can find his mojo.

Wayne Milera (41) hurt his shoulder and looks like he’ll miss up to six weeks, according to the Adelaide FC website.

The Redeemed

Jack Crisp (116) finally had a game in which he looked like an elite half back flank. Hopefully he’s found some rhythm and will be a bit more consistent this season.

Clayton Oliver (108) got his first ton since the Geelong game, while Dyson Heppell (118) had a day out after an inconsistent start to the season.

It feels weird to put Nat Fyfe (110) in this section, but after a 63 due to his concussion, then a missed week, it seemed only fair after bouncing back against the Giants.

Paddy Ryder (108) had his first ton for the season, and hopefully kicks on in the coming weeks.

Jock

Great stuff son. A great read!

Bells

Rowbottom for the Swans was robbed by that SC score of 46.
13 possessions at 86%, 4 marks, 4 tackles. Broad for Tiges also had 13 possessions @84% and 4 tackles – got 70 points.

Rowbum had a good game and will keep his spot with KJ more likely to make way. Exactly the kind of player the Swans need to develop if he doesn't play more than 6 games of seniors this year I'll eat my hat.
Also kicked 3 goals last week in the ressies including 1 from at least 75 meters if you don't mind.
Put him on your watch list.

Steeeve

First time all year I've used my C for Macrae. It was the reason I paid top dollar for him. Not happy with a 97.

Lu14

Westhoff…

He’s lost so much cash now I might need to hold.

Opinions?

seen_burns

Yeah no point trading now, the Hoff should pick up form soon, and should be better whenever Dixon come back into the team

Ryan

How's Cripps not get a mention 30+ handballs is unacceptable

Fozdaddy

Bit stiff to cop a villain tag when you score 110, but he was my captain so I was disappointed!

seen_burns

Anyone looking at Baker (162k) scores of 91 and 87, playing well, not relying on goals and should be looked at this week for maybe Parker?

Russty_

He looks pretty good but wondering what happens when Riewoldt and Cotchin get back in.

Saritz

Bolton an option too. I feel he may have slightly better job security and is cheaper. But also not scoring as well as Baker. I know we are all desperate to find a good fwd rookie option, but the likes of Parker, Setters, Petrol etc at least have better job security. But decision to make for all those considering trading this week and little time to make up our minds

Russty_

Happy with Fyfe's 110 on return, could've been so much better without the 7 clangers and 2 frees against, still happy he's back though 🙂

Nice_Person

The frees against are clangers btw

Russty_

Ah ok, cheers for that.

Karen

Who should I be playing on field today? Clark or Scrimshaw?

Russty_

I think Scrimshaw's got a few more runs on the board, and the nice score last week.

Saritz

Scrim for shaw

KSinny

If say Scrimshaw, seems to play much better without Frawley

Hplate

Funnily enough the problem with Scott is Scott. The North coach hasn't played Scott in the guts his last 2 games and is essentially getting him to play as far away from the middle as he can put him. He looks to have been shunted to weird fwd line + defensive 50 substitute role.

Maybe later in the season when North's season is well and truly finished Scott gets a chance again on-ball but as of now Scott has turned into another horrible small fwd cash cow.

ALEJOR

I agree with you and did you realise Scott only played 67% game time

Very hard to score points sitting on the bench

JohnDJ59

After a 87 and 57 from Ross, do we think he will be worth getting in, or should we wait for Hately who looks even better. The fact that Ross is cheaper could mean he makes more cash, but Hately might have better JS.

Saritz

Ross has decent job security!! He plays an inside role, which Richmond lack.

Saritz

Both seem like good options. For me, I’d like both but don’t think I can get Ross as he is on the bubble and I don’t really have any mid cows that are crying out for their heads to be lopped yet :/

JohnDJ59

I'm thinking of going Scott/Parker to Ross this week and Scott/Parker to Hately next week. Or I could just get both this week.

Brett

No hope mate. Cats by 30+

Brett

17 up at half time. Looking like a good 30+ win for the cattas Hawk man 😉

Derek

There are a few hawks who are just spectators. Cousins, Morrison, Nash just not up to it

Brett

Honestly Hawk, cats are far from having this. Good luck to hawks 🙂

Brn

Danger as C would be hurting but should ton

Derek

Nash yet to touch it

COREYSC

As a Geelong supporter it would be naive to expect a big margin no matter what side Hawthorn puts on the park

asteris222

Great list!! Thx <img src=&quotcomment image" width="1"/>

Brett

T kelly almost makes up for scrimshaws effort for now

Brn

Cripp's 110 as C maybe not bad after all.
Should crack 2200 easily. Hoping that's above par

TommyC99

Why the hell is Danger not attending centre bounces? First 3 of the 3rd quarter and no sight of him!

Saritz

Anyone seen Cousins? I’m getting worried. I haven’t seen hi. Since 1/4 time

KSinny

What'd everyone score this week? I'm guessing par will be around 2200-2250? I've finished with 2274 so think I'm a bit over par.

Pranav

2250 Cripps C and petrucelle E annoying but balanced out by gibbons over Atkins and gore over clark

TOPHAWK1

Mate we tied! Ended up with 2274 as well. Happy with the round.

GloryDays94

2394 👌

KSinny

Wow you'll Definatly be up there

Holty01

Hey Hawk. Are you ‘rise of the Worpel’?
I’ve had 3 games this week decided by about 10.

Holty01

i went down in one myself. That Worpel selection of yours almost got you over the line.

Holty01

Not sure if you call this consistent or boring but every week this season I’ve scored in the 2200s. Nothing below 2200 and nothing above 2300.

KSinny

Nice and consistent Holty

Detek

You’re like the Hawks. 3x 87’s and a 90

Consistent is good, then you just need that one big week when you miss all the carnage to rocket up

We must play each other soon in a league?

Holty01

You would think. We are in a few together

Shake_n_bake

2270 had Gawn as vc but put the armband on Macrea if l stuck with Gawn would have got an even 2300. Like you Holty always between 2200 and 2300

Holty01

i was tossing up between Cripps and Danger for the C. At half time today thought I’d made the right choice with Cripps. Oh well, only cost me 17 so not a massive deal

TOPHAWK1

Bloody good score mate. Just pipped you in a couple of leagues this week. Always a a battle playing you. I have tasted plenty of defeats. Nice to get a couple on you. Till the next time we meet.

Shake_n_bake

Capt choice killed me!! All good, you win some you lose some Hawk. When you get into the top 4 scores in your leagues and lose there the hard ones to take.

derek

i got my revenge this week Shake.

Shake_n_bake

Definitely did Derek Dangers slow start gave me a very small glimmer of hope. Good score buddy.

Shake_n_bake

P.s glad Kelly redeem himself.

derek

very happy. didn't want him getting too cheap

JohnDJ59

What's your teams name Holty ? I think we might be in The Rat Pack together.

Holty01

hey John. My team name is very original. It’s called ‘Holt’ 👍

JohnDJ59

HaHaHa I like it Holty at least it's easy to identify.

Maverick_

G'day John i think you pipped me by 2 points in the 'rat pack' well done mate!

JohnDJ59

Thanks Maverick, sure was close, at the start I had you winning, then once most of the games were done I gave myself an outside chance. Then after the first quarter in the hawks v Cats game I thought I'd won, but Danger came home strong with your C on him and you nearly won it on the siren. I have to say I needed it, I haven't won many until this weekend, you seem to be going alright so far though Maverick, good luck for the rest of the season.

JohnDJ59

OK thanks for letting me know Holty, I had a look and we aren't in any together after all, I was sure we were in at least one, but not to be.

Holty01

Nice score Derek👍

Derek

Thanks mate. So many points on my bench as well.

Very slow start but coming good. Got $250k in the warchest ready to start picking off some juicy fallen premiums soon.

JohnDJ59

Well done Derek, you were my one and only lose this round.

derek

thanks mate. I managed 399th for the week

JohnDJ59

5070th for the week for me, happy with that after my first few weeks, first time over a 2150 score. I'd been range trading between 2050 to 2150, so getting 2248 was a step up.

Brett

2275

Jace

Wow same as me 2275

hedski

Didn't think I was gonna crack 2000 so I'll take 2096.
Left Pettrucelle's and Gibbons tons on the bench but the real problem was Darling the useless prick.

Saritz

2230

TOPHAWK1

2274 for me this week.

GloryDays94

2394 ❤👌

TBone_9

Not feeling too great about my 2184 score this week. Thought up until the game today my projected 2200 was going to be a par score, think I’m a bit under now. Will be trading fairly aggressively the next few weeks as a few premos will be underpriced starting from about next week. Looking at Fyfe and Kelly in particular. How’s everyone else feeling? 🙂

Derek

FyFe is on my radar as a i need a few with the round 12 bye

JohnDJ59

Hi TBone, I had my best round so far, scoring 2248, won eight of my nine league games, two very close ones, won them by two and three points, unlike last weekend when I lost my close games. I'm looking at downgrading two under performing rookies for Ross and Hately, I don't normally go early on a rookie, but I want the week after for an upgrade and downgrade.

TBone_9

Great score this week DJ! Always good to get a few of those close wins in weeks where you’ve pulled out a great score! Yeah I’m liking the look of Hately for sure and I’m keen on Ross, but Cotch coming back worries me for his JS

JohnDJ59

I have seen comments that Ross could be out when Cotch comes back, but apart from Hately and Hayes there doesn't seem a lot on the horizon, so I'll take the chance that his form will be so good they have to keep him. if not, even two weeks will net 100k.

Lazza

I’m rather deflated TBone .. seems every week an ultra premo drops a turd on my aspirations.. 2204 this week .. but upgrading is a problem with a lack of rookies coming through .. Ross this week, Hately the week after .. then what ???
Might have to take a step back to go fwd..

TBone_9

No need to be deflated Lazza, that’s a good score this week!! Premos are always gonna have an off game here and there, just remember you picked your starters for a reason and you gotta back them throughout the year, it’s a long season mate. Ross this week looks good, Hately, Hayes looking great for week after. It’s about getting the right rookies now and building the war chest for when premos are at their juiciest price

Holty01

Good call Tbone. Fyfe is ideal but not looking for mids myself at present. I have Walsh and Constable at M7-8. Might look at Laird or someone forward myself.

Derek

Same here. Have Walsh and Constable on field. Fyfe for another day.

Laird and Sicily interest me in defence, Sic more because of his bye. Lloyd and Whitfield too expensive.

Forward line there are 4 clear cut forwards, I have 3 of them. Boak ticks the bye box, has gone up a bit, but can still afford him.

Have a warchest. Can paint fence this week. Parker and Clark to Rookie and either; Sicily, Laird or Boak.

Or just one trade; Moore to either Sicily, Boak or Laird.

Holty01

Honestly I’d try and hold Moore for a bit longer. Scoring well enough imo. I think getting an extra forward is the most important as the rookies are the ones hurting the most. If I could afford Heeney this week I would as my F6 would be Drew and I’d be happy with that

TBone_9

Yeah I’m very interested in him, but an underpriced Laird or T. Kelly interests me as well. I’ve got Walsh, Constable and Butters on field so the Fyfe pick makes a good onfield upgrade for Butters. But the temptation to stuff off Parker and get another fwd premo sounds like the go to me Derek

Mint

2174 🙁

GloryDays94

OMG I finished 3rd for the round!!!!
😯😯😯

Holty01

Awesome I just saw that. Treloar with the vc was huge. Great call.

GloryDays94

Apparently I won 250 dollars also 😮

KSinny

Good job mate!

Finnius

Congrats mate that's awesome.

derek

that is dizzy heights. well done mate

Lazza

Great stuff GD94… very impressive ..

Russty_

Well done GD, awesome effort mate.

JohnDJ59

You hit that out of the park.

Ja191

Massive mate good job!

COREYSC

Bloody Hell mate, super effort!

Tofa

and the crows won and Betts kicked 6.3!!
Awesome effort mate, even as a Port man I take off my hat to u

TBone_9

Congrats mate!

Nozzy

Time to boot Collins?

redherringfc

Not even on my radar.

For me Burgess, Parker and Scott must go first.

Collins might go alright against the Lions. And Burgess might even go close to his break even, which is 44 I think.

derek

going near or even just over their BE isn't really good enough for the cash cows. don't hold them too long as you will need to cull too many at the one time

Parker, Clark and Moore are on the chopping block this week

FearTheBeard

Neale or Boak in this week?

Ja191

I feel like they’re both too expensive, you could wait or pick up someone discounted in the mean time

FearTheBeard

Need to
Upgrade I got 350k in bank? Do we see Neale or boak dropping? I can’t risk playing Parker and petrculle much longer or constable and stack? Not with that banked surely?

cash_cows

Neale actually went up in price this week.
I'd wait, which is what I'll be doing.
Eyeing Fyfe next week or after that depending on BE

Boak scored subpar, might have a higher BE, could also wait.
But if you really have to, Boak first just because it's cheaper.

Fearthebeard

I have fyfe. I could go boak heeney for my forwards.

Neale mid

Whitfield or Lloyd for defenders but my defender line is ok.

I mean if i take two cows this week I’d have 800k to spend next but why when I can get a premium now?

Finnius

Up to rank 286! The road to #1 continues.

Holty01

Nice work Fin

GloryDays94

Well done mate!!!

derek

that is great mate

Maverick_

killing it Finn. great work

JohnDJ59

Wow, you would be loving that Finn.

COREYSC

Looking good Finnus

Nice_Person

The road is back

AuroraBorealis?!

Better than ever

Beezneez

Nice work Fin. I beat you in G'n'R this week but I'm a long way off 286. Have never been able to get anywhere near my best of 32 a long time ago.

The Ranger

Nice one Fin, keep it up mate.

Shake_n_bake

Keep it up!

cash_cows

Slim pickings for bubble boys.
Need the war chest stocked for upgrades.

But a whole lot of moo-ing from those in my team this week.

redherringfc

I think this will be a very common question this week, but I’ll get in early.

Who is going to be the best option out of Bolton and Baker?

Bolton has only averaged around 65, while Baker is almost 90. But Bolton is 15k cheaper and might have better job security.

Whoever I get is going to be on field this week, but not necessarily so after that.

Pranav

why does bolton have better job security over baker?

Holty01

I like Baker. He might be the one coming into my team this week.

Danners

To be honest, I would wait a week. Both will probably get dropped when the leadership group and co returns

redherringfc

Yeah, but I have Parker, Burgess and Setterfield stuck in my forward line and I don’t know if I can stomach having to field either Parker or Burgess for another week.

Maverick_

walsh an avg of 99.6 and a cash rise of $202,000 making him 404k with a BE of only 4 still…
One of the few times an elevated priced rookie actually pays off he's actually performing better than alot of my "premos".

Dave

Can anyone tell me when the revised positions take effect? Im holding out for Gibbons to become a Mid/Fwd.

Holty01

Hi Dave. I think it only happens in AFL Fantasy. Can’t remember it ever happening in SC.

Maverick_

doesn't happen in SC Dave. not that i can ever recall anyway

swoosh

2020 Dave

Russty_

Never happens in Supercoach, only in Fantasy.

Holty01

My war chest looks like my bank account.
$14.23

TRIGGA_HAPPY

Does Lockhart come in for Jetta this week?

If so can turn butters into dusty.
Reckon that could work out ok. 🙊

TOPHAWK1

Hello Trigga. Tophawk here. Got one back.

TRIGGA_HAPPY

Yep was pretty close hawk.

Demons / Brayshaw let the team down. 😫

dontblushbaby

I didn't realise that Sam Petrevski – Seton is a FWD , just put him on the radar, he needs to keep backing it up

Saritz

It was a great game, but the first time he has ever played 4 quarters. I see him having a breakout year, but probably not SC relevant just yet. Setterfield and Kennedy are about to enter the mix too. So wait a few weeks before making any decisions on him

COREYSC

Ranked 898 I haven’t made a trade yet

Saritz

Out of curiosity, how many trades has everyone used so far? I have used 2. And I don’t think I’ll be trading this week either. My cows still have some fattening to do. I’ll be watching Hatley closely though to bring in rd 7.

Holty01

3 for me.

Pranav

only used 1 but ive held the likes of dusty and dunkley and only trade ive made is setters to ROB via bines

Yeahnah

I've made 2 overall and probably won't make any this week either, unless Andrews is out for 3+ weeks or Scott gets dropped

Simon

I am trading darling out and have 489,500 to spend what forward should I go for

Saritz

You need all of Danger, Heeney, Boak and Kelly. So whichever one of them you don’t have

Saritz

I never really have a war chest. As soon as I have $ I upgrade so I can put the money to work. Maybe building a war chest 1-2 weeks before the byes I guess makes sense

Swoosh

Considering Sheed (had him from start) and Moore (maxing out) into Henderson and Hore.

Thoughts?

Russty_

Henderson looks a great pod mate, not sure if he can maintain those numbers but he's sure been good so far, benefitting from no Titch bigtime.
Looks a very composed player too.
Sheed's gotta go I reckon, think he was only filling in and now he's back in his corner.
Moore seems to be Mr 79.

Swoosh

Mr 79 is right. But there are equal options that have/had a lower asking price.

If I go Moore to Hore, I pick up $150K and likely a same or better scoring option.

I was going to pick up Hore (from Burgess) last week but went O'Brian instead – offloading Parker via DPP. Guess I'm stuck with Burgess now, but I don't expect him to be playing this week or for the near future so a potential loop.

Yeahnah

Another very average week. Andrews and Brayshaw the main let downs, starting to think Brayshaw may be a bust.

Russty_

Just unlucky with Andrews mate…Brayshaw was one of those picks we all hoped would pan out, but will damage our chances if we keep him in the mids, mainly cause Melbourne are going shite!
I punted Brayshaw to Neale 2 weeks ago.

JohnDJ59

Thinking of doing two downgrades this week, but I can't decide between, Setterfield, Scott and Parker as to who to trade out, Setterfield is useful for his dpp, Scott could still make a bit of cash if he ever starts scoring anything over 50 pts again and Parker should still have good JS and could just sit on the bench. So which two players should go, what do you guys think.

Holty01

Scott and Parker if I was you John. Like the Setterfield loop and swing set for the week. Setterfield should also have better job security although will probably be a slow burn.

JohnDJ59

Hi Holty, I must admit after the North game and having the E on Scott, I'd really had enough of him and couldn't wait till the round ended to trade him out, but then I thought about the fact I traded out Gibbons last Thursday and started to doubt myself, but if I want to improve my teams scoring and cash generation, go he must.

Holty01

I traded Gibbons as well mate. Although it hurts I was never going to have him on ground.

JohnDJ59

I felt a bit sick when he was scoring all those points, I had been trading out Scott and Parker most of the week, but changed to Butters and Gibbons in the end, so maybe they should go this week, just to spite them.

Antonio Bonaccurso

Which rookies you bringing in?

JohnDJ59

Ross and Hately

Hi Russty, Scott and Parker were on my hit list last week and I gave them another chance, as it worked out I shouldn't have since the two I traded out did much better than they did. Setters dpp is really the only thing that is saving him at the moment, Parker looked really good in his first two games, so we know what he can do. I have a full fwd line so the fwd rookies aren't as important as the midfield ones, so Parker might be the other rookie to go after Scott.

Hey Russty, thanks for your insight and advice, sorry I took so long getting back to your reply, but I was looking at my team, then I saw I had three replies, so then I had to think what to say, you really didn't have to delete it.

Oh no worries John, I just said I thought Scott had to go first and that Parker was injured last week and might have scored better if he wasn't, and possibly this week too, because he has a lot to play for…Setterfield had the DPP which gives him some value, and that I regret a bit, trading him out now, cause I no longer have the dpp in the midfield, not sure what's going on with the lagging in here, but I deleted it 45 minutes before you replied.
All good mate…I'm a bit numb from this year so far, things aren't really working out too well, and I'm not enjoying it all that much.

No worries Russty, thanks for getting back to me, I do have a habit of posting, then I go and do something else, then check back in to see if anyone replied. I was getting a bit down the first few weeks about some of my starting players and wondering if it was all worth it, but now that I've cleaned them out, things are looking a bit better, I've also excepted that I won't be having a great year, so no expectations, then I go and have a good weekend like this and it's not all bad, until next week at least. Don't worry Russty things will come good, you haven't been scoring that badly.

Cheer up mate. I had Darling onfield

Collins>Sheppard locked in.
Which second option should i implement?
Dominic '30 disposals for a 66' Sheed to Sexy Ricky Henderson
Or
Darcy Moore to brodie Smith?

Given the nature of this post, I just want to give a shoutout to “the good” and “the bad” from my team…
– Libba: You are travelling along beautifully son and have made me almost as much without the fanfare of Walsh. Keep up the good work!
– Hurn: I got you in as a POD and put my plums on the line and you’ve returned the faith! Well done!
– Cousins: FFS!! [email protected]#%!!! You are making me look [email protected]$%ing stupid. And us super coaches don’t like to look stupid. Son, LIFT!!!

Hahahaha I rate that

The good: happy I traded in Stack and O'Brien. Happy I traded out Butters and kept Gibbons.
The bad: always leaving the good rookie scores on the bench. Plus my first bad captain score, Macrae's 97.
The ugly: my rank of 21,000, leaving rookie tins on the bench and scoring 20s and 30s on field certainly not helping.

Bloody frustrating isn't is Steve?…I did that 1st round and haven't recovered yet…It is hard to pick what a rookie's gonna do this year, Petruccelle got 5 goals, Gibbons more midtime for a change, at least you know you can leave Petruccelle, Drew and Hore on field now.

Yeahnah

Having 2 of Petrucelle, Parker and Balta on field is making me feel physically ill

After all the rage trading is said and done, gotta take a moment to appreciate Libba, Hurn and Sam Walsh.

Now with that all said and done my PoD Harris Andrews has decided to go and do his hammy, who's the best defender under 600k? Tom Stewart had a down week but overall looking the goods.

Yeahnah

In the same boat regarding Andrews, thinking of going Sicily or Laird. Leaning more towards Sicily as he's only in ~11% of teams compared to Laird's ~32%.
