The Standing Room | Round Five

Published by Patch on

It’s been a whirlwind of a round so far, with premiums rewarding those who stuck with them. Murmers of people looking to trade Treloar and Crisp during the week would have (hopefully) been quashed by their good performances on Thursday, and Zach Merrett continued his brilliant run of form.

Lachie Neale proved he is human after all, dropping his first sub-100 game for the season and paving the way for Paddy Cripps to claim the crown as the number one scoring player for the season – much to the enjoyment of a certain mustache-wearing friend of mine. However, Neale’s score is good for those of us without him, as he should leak some cash over the coming weeks to make him slightly less unaffordable – the same could be said for Brodie Grundy if you – for some reason – didn’t start him.

I’m already planning on culling LDU – what the machinations whirring in your mind? Who are you banking on for a big score? How are you travelling so far this round?

And while we’re at it, how ’bout those Bombers? Where do we rank ’em? Or are Norf just rubbish?

Sitting on 239 from three, and with Butters, Drew, Duursma and Hurn in action it could get even uglier before the night is out. Golly gosh having all your rookies play early can be disheartening…

    JR_Damo · 19/04/2019 at 19:59

I've only had Grundy and Neale play so far. Nobody played in the Bombers/Kangaroos game. I have Duursma, Butters and Drew playing tonight, but I'm loopholing Butters with Atkins using Constable. Sitting on 191 from 2. Not bad, but not great.

      Patch · 19/04/2019 at 20:00

Already wasted my loop on Scotty boy. Here's hoping Butters can top 41…

        Krups · 19/04/2019 at 20:01

        Done same thing

        JohnDJ59 · 19/04/2019 at 20:17

Scott was a waste wasn't he, I think he will be going from my side next week, I should have stuck with Stack, but I like to have the first playing as my loop.

Tyruddanaut · 19/04/2019 at 21:05

Rocky lift!!!

Connor · 19/04/2019 at 21:26

Not watching the game but Boak has 14 touches, 4 tackles and 4 clangers for 60SC points… Time to get him in I think, Champion Data must have him!

Steeeve · 19/04/2019 at 22:34

Petrucelle getting absolutely robbed! Just scored minus 1 point for a mark and goal ffs!!

Michael · 19/04/2019 at 22:51

Guy at CD has benched Petrucelle. Got like 2 points for his last 2 goals of the match

    TommyC99 · 19/04/2019 at 23:27

Junk time goals in the last few minutes usually don’t score particularly well

Pranav · 19/04/2019 at 22:59

wouldnt mind if parker or heeney dont play with petrucelle E

TommyC99 · 19/04/2019 at 23:14

Dear Matty Parker,

I was sweating on you being named last night, but now I permit you to be a Late out.

A sad petrucelle owner

Browncow · 19/04/2019 at 23:36

Might trade Jack Darling for Liam Baker this week. Even if Baker isn’t picked the $200k I earn will more than make up for the 9 points or so I lose.

Ja191 · 20/04/2019 at 00:43

Take duursmas 64 or roll the dice on Collins

    Multi_ · 20/04/2019 at 00:59

    Take it

    redherringfc · 20/04/2019 at 09:19

Collins should beat the 64. Then you’ll also have a safety net if there is a late out, later in the weekend.

Antonio Bonaccurso · 20/04/2019 at 07:27

Do I take Scott’s 41 or play Gibbons?

    dontblushbaby · 20/04/2019 at 09:12

I would take the punt with Gibbons

    redherringfc · 20/04/2019 at 09:20

It’s like asking which turd sandwich would you prefer?

    Go for Gibbons.

    SC_Donkey · 20/04/2019 at 10:03

I have no choice but to punt on Gibbons this week. Setterfield and Constable are out, Scotts 41 is not what want from a rookie 60+ is my cut off.

    Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 13:14

Gibbons did get a 54 last week, that's huge for him.

dontblushbaby · 20/04/2019 at 08:27

Any Hawks fans have any intel on the team announcement ? Concerned that Scrimshaw has been named on the bench ,should not be dropped but maybe managed ?

If he is out ,I will trade Setterfield via DPP for Hore who's game is at 4.35

    Ja191 · 20/04/2019 at 08:44

Pretty sure he’s been named there every week. Unless clarkos said anything he should play

    Derek · 20/04/2019 at 09:18

    Frawley out he is essential

      dontblushbaby · 20/04/2019 at 09:24

      Brand is in for Frawley

    James Sykes · 20/04/2019 at 12:15

scrimshaw seems to be named in the back pocket of the box hill hawks according to

Rick Grimes · 20/04/2019 at 08:51

Any non playing rooks left to play who are likely to get a game in the coming weeks? Or do I forget those tons sitting on my bench and hope Parker isn't an awful failure again…

    Ja191 · 20/04/2019 at 09:28

Had parker and didn’t play him for the first two weeks and missed his two 90s. Played him for the next two weeks and he got 30s. Just traded him out so he’ll prob go 90 for you

    Twilightingale · 20/04/2019 at 10:28

    Corbett, maybe Hind

      Browncow · 20/04/2019 at 13:19

Cavarra and Bewley reaching full fitness also. All the pre season faves on the radar.

        Patch · 20/04/2019 at 18:35

Damo is very bullish on Bewley after watching him today. If Freo had lost badly I'd have locked him in for a debut next week

HarryH76 · 20/04/2019 at 09:04

So it appears Jack Darling had 86% TOG for 9 SC points. For a player supposedly at least a semi-premo forward, has there ever been a lower score? I can't remember it. I was having a good round before that. And I thought Dunkley was the big worry in the forward line! I'm actually benching him now and taking Petruccelle's 100.

So what do you do with Darling now? He's going to bottom out in price in a couple of weeks so do you hold, ride it out or cut losses now? I think the latter would be preferred if there was an obvious rookie to downgrade to but I don't see one. Already have Danger, Boak, Heeney and Dunkley so really only 2 spots left. Thinking Kelly and D Smith as ultimate upgrade targets but neither setting world on fire right now either!

ROB14 · 20/04/2019 at 09:53

Put the big C on Cripps, Macrae or Danger? Can't decide?!

    SC_Donkey · 20/04/2019 at 10:11

    Tough one
Curnow could tag Macrae or Libba
    Wallis could tag Cripps
Not sure who Hawks have to tag Danger

I have The Bont as my VC this week and got C on Danger.

      Ja191 · 20/04/2019 at 11:20

Hawks have howe, vc crippa into danger for me

        Maverick_ · 20/04/2019 at 12:21

        Cripps into Danger for me

          Maverick_ · 20/04/2019 at 13:39

i think that is pretty safe mate just look at his last 3 v hawks, HUGE!!
and this is the weakest side they've had for a while

    ROB14 · 20/04/2019 at 12:18

Think I'm leaning towards Dangerfield, think he will redeem himself after last week and go large! Thanks for suggestions!

TOPHAWK1 · 20/04/2019 at 10:00

Dom Sheed owners……..I feel for you, but you were warned. He is one giant TRAP. Gone back to his old inconsistent ways. If you have him punt him at your earliest convenience.

    Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 13:15

I agree Hawk…never averaged all that well, can understand people getting sucked in though after his JLT numbers and start to the season, back to business as usual now.

    TRIGGA_HAPPY · 21/04/2019 at 09:49

Playing more fwd now gaff is back in the side.

Connor · 20/04/2019 at 11:18

Had Grundy as emergency on my bench (Sweet on field) as was thinking of putting the C on Gawn… considering Grundy only scored a 100, is it still a good idea to go Sweet > ROB and miss out on Grundy’s score?

TommyC99 · 20/04/2019 at 12:41

Cripps or Danger with the C? Unfortunately can’t VC cripps as I already had to use the VC on Grundy (didn’t know about constable being out). Think Cripps is safer but Danger more potential to go large.

SC_Donkey · 20/04/2019 at 13:32

Not bad so far, not good either 490 from 5.
Gonna have to cop some mediocre scores from Burgess, Atkins and Gibbons. Hoping they'll score well this weekend like the rookies that played last night.

Looking to do my first upgrade after Round 5, really eager to get Lloyd in. Neale can wait for now, forward is really doing my head in, there's no one up forward put their hands up saying pick me! Pick me! Looks like Dunkley will have to stay in my team longer and let those Rookies fatten up.

Ja191 · 20/04/2019 at 14:13

de boers tagging hill not fyfe? what?

    SC_Donkey · 20/04/2019 at 14:24

Something coaches sees we don't Hutchings was on him last week.

Rick Grimes · 20/04/2019 at 14:29

Hope no one actually traded Fyfe last week.

    Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 14:35

Plenty of scare mongering last week Rick…
    Fyfe will miss 2
Fyfe won't be right for awhile when he gets back
Fyfe will get tagged out of the game….
So far so good… fingers crossed !

    Holty01 · 20/04/2019 at 14:51

I don’t have him but it’s good to see he has bounced back quickly. Especially for the coaches who held him

      Rick Grimes · 20/04/2019 at 15:05

Don't have him either. But wouldn't mind picking him up for $500k in a few weeks time. Will need a sub 100 game here tho. Looks unlikely mind you.

    Browncow · 20/04/2019 at 22:20

    13,000 did Rick.

    Shake_n_bake · 21/04/2019 at 11:58

    I did for Bont

hedski · 20/04/2019 at 14:31

Keep going Gonigliog, need about 200 from you to make up for the stain that is Jack Darling.

    SC_Donkey · 20/04/2019 at 14:46

Would be nice if he does go huge today, with Whitfield doing what he does each week. Would be awesome to get a massive score between.

    hedski · 20/04/2019 at 15:12

    And I jinxed him…..

      JohnDJ59 · 20/04/2019 at 15:20

He just stopped in that second quarter.

        Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 16:23

Butcher boy will still get you a ton this week Hawk πŸ™‚

          Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 16:29

Better than a kick up the ass with a pointy boot though .

            Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 16:32

I have fyfe who got 104, happy with that considering …and I think he gave a bunch of frees away.

      SC_Donkey · 20/04/2019 at 17:00

Hahaha we did, didn't we. Shit happens.

    Ja191 · 20/04/2019 at 15:26

he's doing his best russel westbrook impression, heaps of it but can't kick straight

Rick Grimes · 20/04/2019 at 14:52

Plenty to love about Hately.

    Rick Grimes · 20/04/2019 at 15:16

I had I'm all preseason but bailed when he wasn't named. Looks a well timed down grade option.

    SC_Donkey · 20/04/2019 at 15:36

Looking good, with ward out might have good JS

    JohnDJ59 · 20/04/2019 at 16:23

If he backs it up next week and then gets named for his third game, he will be in my side.

Pranav · 20/04/2019 at 15:17

who are people going with stack or ross? me personally i like stack better because i think he has the better JS but im going for ross so i can have one extra week of price rises and info from gibbons, atkins and scott. this way it is easier to work out who i should cull.

    COREYSC · 20/04/2019 at 16:07

You hit the nail on the head mate, that’s my reason

      Pranav · 20/04/2019 at 16:28

Who are your leaning towards getting rid of? I’d say Atkins is safe gibbons dependant on if he gets midfield minutes with Setterfield out and Scott could get dropped

        Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 16:35

Scott's on my chopping block next week…spud.

          JohnDJ59 · 20/04/2019 at 16:42

Scott to Ross next week and maybe Setterfield/Parker to Hately the week after.

        COREYSC · 20/04/2019 at 16:42

I’ll be getting rid of Scott, for Ross and then probably Gibbons for Hatley if Gibbons scoring doesn’t improve over the next two weeks I need to see some sort of ceiling that is worth keeping for Gibbons

    Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 16:22

Reckon Ross is a better player, will be between Ross and Hately next week for a lot of peeps who don't mind going early , Ross looks a hard nut quality rookie in the guts.

      Pranav · 20/04/2019 at 16:30

Yeah Hately looked good and with ward done could have js. Didn’t watch tigers last week but will get to take a look at Ross tonight. Might have to go for both considering I passed on stack

        Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 16:35

You should be able to Google Ross's highlights from last week Pranav…could be the next Walsh coming through.

          Pranav · 20/04/2019 at 17:17

If he is half the player walsh is he is a must have

      Patch · 20/04/2019 at 18:33

Hately looked extremely good, and with Ward out for the season you'd think he'll have an extended run at it. Will assess Ross tonight if the AFL app decides to work on my phone…

        Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 18:50

Bloody technology, it's supposed to make our lives better.

TommyC99 · 20/04/2019 at 15:48

Williams looking like he’s gonna lose points this quarter. I noticed he lost 10pts at the start of the 3rd, what did he do?

    hedski · 20/04/2019 at 15:55

Gave away a 50m that resulted in a goal just before half time.

    COREYSC · 20/04/2019 at 16:06

Hopefully he still tons up breakeven of 89

COREYSC · 20/04/2019 at 16:43

90 Williams beats his breakeven of 89……for now

    Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 16:47

Think that's about the best you could expect from him average-wise.

      COREYSC · 20/04/2019 at 17:53

Yeah exactly right mate, hoping in the next couple of weeks he can start to put in consistent 95-100 scores

Tommo09 · 20/04/2019 at 16:52

Why does Petracca play such little midfield time?

    Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 17:00

Probably cause their fwd line isn't going that well, McDonald is badly out of form, Weiderman doesn't do a lot, Preuss, the odd goal here and there, plus they have plenty of midfielders.

      Tommo09 · 20/04/2019 at 17:02

      Cheers for that
I was watching and struggling to understand why his big frame wasn’t being utilised in the middle

    redherringfc · 20/04/2019 at 17:55

I might be wrong, but I don’t think he has the tank.

Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 16:53

Good start from Hore, he's really workin it.

    COREYSC · 20/04/2019 at 17:55

5 marks in the opening term 7 in the half thought he’d have more points but happy so far with 44, 80+ would be a βœ… from here

Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 16:55

Saints are almost looking like a real Footy team this year, I'll be happy to get my tip wrong if they win this one.

    Patch · 20/04/2019 at 18:34

    praise be unto B I L L I N G S

      Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 18:48

Billings has done a Freaky Friday with Dunkley Patchy…although he needs a few more points for ya this game.

        JohnDJ59 · 20/04/2019 at 18:58

Rapt I started him, even after having him last year. Although I did trade him out before he lost a big amount of cash.

        Patch · 20/04/2019 at 19:20

Went and had a shower at half-time though…

Connor · 20/04/2019 at 17:00

Should’ve captain Razor Ray, already has 4 goals to his name

hedski · 20/04/2019 at 17:11

So glad Parker isn't playing and I get Petracelle's 100.
Watched that first QTR and he is definitely not out on the field…..

    Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 17:21

Freakin spud sittin on 10 for ages and then gives a stupid free away, if only there were someone to trade him to!

      FearTheBeard · 20/04/2019 at 17:31

This spud. Couldn't pick over him or Pet and played him. 😐

In a head 2 head with 6 diff and literally doing very well just needed him to pull a 50ish (got walsh and laird to come) and then my op has libba and if he doesn't go stupid I'd win. Cmon you useless spud. Give me 50-60 ffs.

        Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 17:38

Big hoo hah about how he has a wife and kid and used to dig ditches for a living and really is determined to repay the faith Richo showed giving him a chance after he was playing B-Grade Amateurs.
Not really looking good for him at the moment…could be digging ditches again soon.

          Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 17:48

Mate I'd be playing out of my skin every week if I was him, Cinderella stories like his can go bad pretty quick when they don't perform.
I've hardly seen him on the field at all.

    Holty01 · 20/04/2019 at 17:44

I was actually thinking trading Setterfield back in for Parker to get Petra’s score. Commonsense prevailed but bloody hell im actually starting to think it might have been a good idea

    Pranav · 20/04/2019 at 18:09

his TOG is really low doesnt seem to be injured so its annoying seeing him to be on the bench so much especially since he only has 1 disposal in the time he was on the ground

JohnDJ59 · 20/04/2019 at 17:21

I really stuffed up my rookies this weekend, put the E on Parker after having it on Petruccelle, put Duursma on field in place of Hore, thinking Lewis coming in for the dees could have an effect on his good scoring from last week. I did the same last weekend, had both Scrimshaw and Hore on the pine, while Clark and Duursma were on field.

    Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 17:27

I did the same week 1 John, scored 2000 when everyone else got 2200, live and learn mate, you'll bounce back.

      JohnDJ59 · 20/04/2019 at 17:33

I think Hore and Scrimshaw will be on field from now on, they seem to have a higher scoring potential than Duursma and Clark. I should have learnt from last week.

        COREYSC · 20/04/2019 at 17:59

I’m playing Duursma, Hore and scrimshaw all on the field running thin in the backline with the rookies scoring solid in defence this season in comparison to the shocking forward rookies running 4 promos there to cover

          Holty01 · 20/04/2019 at 18:02

Same Corey. If my rookie defenders can keep giving me 60s, I’ll take that every day

          JohnDJ59 · 20/04/2019 at 18:17

Yes, the way it's worked out three defence rookies on field would have been fine, I went really thin in the guts due to the good rookies there and no rookies in the fwd line. In hindsight I should have had one less rookie in the mids.

            Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 18:30

Hey John, on the HS website they had an article called 'the Supercoach team you should've picked'…it had 2 premos in the mids (Cripps, Neale) plus Sheed, Rocky, Libba, Bowes, Walsh, Constable
            Also Whitfield, Hurn, Stewart,
            Grundy, Gawn
Boak, Cameron, Daniel, Danger, Worpel, Moore

But who would've started with that team?…seriously…lol

              JohnDJ59 · 20/04/2019 at 18:39

Not me, out of that lot I started with Cripps, Walsh, Constable, Gawn, Danger and I've traded in Whitfield, Boak and Worpel.

    Patch · 20/04/2019 at 18:28

It's a rough old game, John. Rough old game indeed. At least the cash generation is there

      JohnDJ59 · 20/04/2019 at 18:47

It usually takes a while before I have an idea about who my best rookies are, Walsh and Constable were always going to be the standouts, Drew then showed what he had, Scrimshaw last week and now Hore the last two weeks. So I now have a better idea about who I'm going to be starting on field. You are also spot on about the cash generation Patch, we need those rookies to keep playing and hopefully over 60 pts a game.

    hedski · 20/04/2019 at 18:41

You'll get the win back on me after last week DJ, Darling killed me.

      JohnDJ59 · 20/04/2019 at 19:04

Could be another close one hedski, maybe this time I will be the one winning by a point.

Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 17:26

It's pretty shocking, like they all missed their pre-season training.

Bells · 20/04/2019 at 17:40

Swans have an extra travelling emergency.
Heeney and/or Parker a chance to miss.

If I have two out on the forward line can I get two emergencies on the bench to get their points to count?

    Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 17:42

    Yeah you get both.

    Tyruddanaut · 20/04/2019 at 17:52

You will risk if only one misses you get the lower score of the two emergencies but yes. If both miss both count

    Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 19:33

Heeney doesn't miss, unless his ass becomes detached from his body, he's a tough sonofabiatch.

Tyruddanaut · 20/04/2019 at 17:43

This weeks clown of the week goes to Chris Scott for not dropping Clark allowing me to loop Hore (43 23mins through the 2nd)

    COREYSC · 20/04/2019 at 17:57

I’m glad Clark is playing cause with Tuohy coming back soon I thought him being dropped might see him not find a way back in with Guthrie back to full fitness and in the side

Tyruddanaut · 20/04/2019 at 17:43

Oliver dangerously low tackle count

TommyC99 · 20/04/2019 at 17:48

I thought Clark was gonna be out? Looks like I don’t get Hore’s score. Spewing πŸ™

    COREYSC · 20/04/2019 at 17:51

Wow what a lucky break I put Hore on the field and chose to back him in with Clark on the bench one positive is Clark playing keeps the cash Generation going for our rookies

    Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 17:57

Don't think there was anything definite Tommy, just some opinions and speculation.

      TommyC99 · 20/04/2019 at 18:01

Yeah fair enough russty, don’t think it changes anything anyway as I would have fielded Clark over Hore, just annoyed that I’m missing another big rookie score (Petrucelle also on my bench)

        Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 18:04

At least you've got Petrucelle mate, I've got Balta and Bines on my fwd bench…slim pickings lol

          COREYSC · 20/04/2019 at 18:18

Wow the slimmest pickings of all mate you’d have ROB then

            Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 18:21

Yeah, Got ROB this week, will need him in a few weeks to get a half decent forward by the looks of things.

              COREYSC · 20/04/2019 at 18:41

Yeah that’s fair enough guessing you punted Setterfield I held him for the loop for Petrucelle and keep my 30 trades for another week see how Dunkley goes tomorrow…….

Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 18:35

Gawn, Oliver and Streetwalker are looking ok, but Oliver better ton up or I'll seriously consider cutting his bad red haircut out of my side….go Gawny and go Saints!!!!

    JohnDJ59 · 20/04/2019 at 19:10

Gawn going well, as he should, up against Marshall, Clarry should be alright, not worth trading out and Hore as a rookie should be in the side for a while yet if he keeps up this form.

    hedski · 20/04/2019 at 19:20

      Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 19:26

A.K.A Hore, aka Whore Hed….sorry, I assumed you were less innocent.

        hedski · 20/04/2019 at 19:29

Ah yes had a Mind blank, I traded him out after round 2 and have blanked that mistake out of my mind.

Holty01 · 20/04/2019 at 18:40

Well I have to say Goodwin probably needs to be moved on. It’s great bringing an attacking mindset in but all great teams have a good defence. He had that last year as he had a defence that was still following Roos’ defensive plan. Now the rules have changed it is a very good indication that Goodwin can’t coach to this. It’s disappointing as I was hoping for big things from the Demons this year

    Tyruddanaut · 20/04/2019 at 18:47

1-4 for a team likely to win premierships is not good. Couldn’t agree more

    JohnDJ59 · 20/04/2019 at 18:54

He just re-signed a few weeks ago.

    COREYSC · 20/04/2019 at 19:00

When May and Lever come back their defence will be more solid I think it’s the ball use that is terrible

Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 18:51

Shocked about Marshall, looks like he got exposed this week a bit, thought he was good enough to have cemented the number 1 spot but Longer could come back in next week possibly.

    Holty01 · 20/04/2019 at 18:59

i think he has competed pretty well Russty. Considering it’s against Gawn. No way Longer can come back when your boys keep winning.

      Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 19:01

Yeah true Brad, I guess if the ruck gets smashed and they still win, it's still a win, Longer is pretty useless anyway.

    neil demons delight · 20/04/2019 at 19:51

Great team effort Russty Your boys are looking so much better this year even billings Dees are a long way off particularly forward.Luckily i will enjoy the Sainters journey

      Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 20:03

Hey Neil yeah it's a surprise to me!…we seem to be playing quite well, reminds me of the big defensive pressure days of 2009 / 2010,
Worried about how your blokes are going though mate, it must be very disappointing for you how they're going THIS YEAR.
Dees forward line is a shambles at the moment…Goody needs to change something up there or it could be an embarrassing year.

        JohnDJ59 · 20/04/2019 at 20:07

Great to see the Saints going well Russty, not worried about the Dees, we're just going back to the norm, last year was a one off.

          Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 20:15

I know how it feels to get used to disappointment mate, Dees should be doing much better this year, they showed a lot of improvement last year, there should be a natural progression, but T-Mac was a big part of that too and he's gone missing this year.

          Holty01 · 20/04/2019 at 20:40

Try being a Carlton supporter John. There is nothing else but disappointment

            JohnDJ59 · 20/04/2019 at 21:39

That is true Holty, but depending on how old you are at least you were a power team in the 70's and 80's. I didn't start following the Dees until 1972 and had to wait till 1987 until we made the finals, although we did nearly get there in 1976 when we had to beat the Pies at Vic park, which we did and have Carlton win against the Dogs, you guys drew, so we missed out. I was a do die supporter in the 70's and 80's, went to every game, but once I became older, I became a bit more logical, I thought in the end only one team/supporters can be happy at years end, so why worry, I don't even watch the footy anymore. So even though I still support the Dees and have now been a member for 25 years, I don't let it get to me like I used to.

    TRIGGA_HAPPY · 21/04/2019 at 09:51

I did say he has the big boys coming up

SC_Donkey · 20/04/2019 at 18:57

Demmit!!! I was hoping Clark isnt playing. Now Hore is sitting on bench. Meh!

Quick question
If you have two Emergencies in one position and you have two players not playing. Will both Emergency scores be counted?

    redherringfc · 20/04/2019 at 19:22

      SC_Donkey · 20/04/2019 at 19:31

      Thanks red,

Never had two Emergencies before, thought I'd try it. This way I can field one less rookie.

Patch · 20/04/2019 at 19:09

Did Jack Billings have a shower at half time? Was on 60-odd at the long break and pre-scaling has finished on 85. I've been unable to watch it, anyone see why he dropped out of the game?

    JohnDJ59 · 20/04/2019 at 19:12

Not sure Patch, but at least he had another 80+ game, so happy with that.

      Patch · 20/04/2019 at 19:14

True – last year we took anything above 60 from him, but I'm still holding out for a 90/95 average

        dontblushbaby · 20/04/2019 at 19:16

        16 handballs

        JohnDJ59 · 20/04/2019 at 19:38

93 in the end, so he will stay above the 95 average for now Patch.

          Patch · 20/04/2019 at 20:37

          I'll take 93!

s c tragic · 20/04/2019 at 19:15

Please God!!!!

Patch · 20/04/2019 at 19:15

Hawk mate I love you, but very tempted to permanently block you from the website based on this comment alone. Consider this an official warning πŸ˜›

    FearTheBeard · 20/04/2019 at 19:17

I can support this. Pies 😐 !NO!

    Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 19:28

Just for the teeth and clothing choices I think Patch…I love him too.

    neil demons delight · 20/04/2019 at 20:03

And I was going to agree with Hawk HMMM whats left Bombers –no Eagles -no Crows –no well I will surprise you The Cats are a shoe in Recruited well led by Hawkins and Danger the cats for NDD

Rick Grimes · 20/04/2019 at 19:18

Got three tons sitting on the bench. Haha. At least my cash generation will be nace. Anyone thinking of flicking Brayshaw? Doesn't look like he'll be making that step upp to premo.

    Rick Grimes · 20/04/2019 at 19:19

Uber premo, I mean. I'd hoped 110-115 average. Looks like a 105 player. At best.

    Steve · 20/04/2019 at 19:21

I have Oliver and Brayshaw, both have to go!

      TommyC99 · 20/04/2019 at 19:31

      Oliver tonned up….

    Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 19:31

Flicked his soft helmeted ass to Neale 2 weeks ago mate, sometimes those speculative picks have to be culled early.

      Maverick_ · 20/04/2019 at 19:36

yup brayshaw just played his last game for me. like derm said post match melbourne's midfield are all downhill skiers.

    HarryH76 · 20/04/2019 at 19:42

Yep I flicked him to Zerrett this week. Happy with that call so far!

    TOPHAWK1 · 20/04/2019 at 19:53

Punted him for Fyfe after round 1. I had a bad feeling about him. Slowly working out that trade.

hedski · 20/04/2019 at 19:24

You'll be purring and saying MEOW Monday night Hawk.

    neil demons delight · 20/04/2019 at 20:08

Just noticed your post Hedski The cats are really looking good now We haven't seen the best of Kelly Danger or Menegola .yet they still perform well Top recruiting and Touhy still to play Cats for the flag for me Thanks for Sheppard ,might get me up

      Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 20:10

Reckon the Cats and Pies would be a good Granny Neil, could also be the Eagles if it's dry lol, if it's wet they'll flop on their asses.

        COREYSC · 20/04/2019 at 22:46

I hope so, my Boys have even succeeded my expectations! Go Cats!

TommyC99 · 20/04/2019 at 19:49

Field Atkins or gibbons?

    Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 20:11

Atkins I reckon, he's a bit harder and tackles apparently.

    Saritz · 20/04/2019 at 20:46

If Carlton get their forward setup properly, Gibbons will be able to feast on the ground ball. He is also getting up the ground a bit more now. I feel like Gibbons will start pumping out minimum 50+ pts in the next few weeks. Perfect timing for him to be traded out around the byes. But to answer your questions, Atkins is the safer option.

TOPHAWK1 · 20/04/2019 at 19:52

Balta= TURD. Worst rookie to get a game. Ridiculous. I reckon I can get a game at this rate.

JohnDJ59 · 20/04/2019 at 20:03

I was kind of hoping he might be rested, so I could get the Hore score.

Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 20:08

Cheers dude, I saw that about 3 hours ago but thanks for the update πŸ˜‰

    Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 20:13

Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 20:21

Balta's kicking ass!…he could end up on 35 at this rate!

    Saritz · 20/04/2019 at 21:22

Need 1pt in the last to get to 35. I think he can do it!!

    Rocksta_ · 20/04/2019 at 21:28

All shit aside, what has he got on Dimma? He is fkn hopeless but yet has played 4 games of AFL footy. What’s the go?

    Saritz · 20/04/2019 at 22:11

He gets poor TOG, just 58% again tonight. If he gets 70%+ ever he might actually be a decent cash cow for those who have him

JohnDJ59 · 20/04/2019 at 20:24

Stack on his way to his projected score, so looking at that 75k cash generation for the week, glad I brought him in now, I was a bit worried he might flop against the Swans.

    Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 20:30

I'll stack you…on top of you.

    Patch · 20/04/2019 at 20:36

I got that one wrong. Not sure who I would have traded to him but he's looking really good out there

      JohnDJ59 · 20/04/2019 at 21:50

That was my main problem Patch, who to trade out, since all my rookies were still making money, but I ended up going Butters to Stack and Gibbons to O'Brien.

        JohnDJ59 · 20/04/2019 at 22:17

The projected score does matter Hawk, since it gives us an idea of how much he could go up in price on the day he plays, the break even is important also, ie if he is worth trading in or when to trade a rookie out.

          JohnDJ59 · 20/04/2019 at 22:39

He had a projected score of 74 and a price rise of 73k, he was on his way to getting that, score higher he will make more, score under, not as much. The BE is more important when it is in the + and you need the player to get higher than that so he won't lose any cash.

            Kewbie Bear · 21/04/2019 at 09:22

So if a player has a breakeven of say 48 and projected rise of 50K, and he gets 48 he will get the 50K price rise? I'm so confused now.

              Saritz · 21/04/2019 at 09:33

No. The breakeven is just that… what they need to score the break even to not lose (or make) $. You are getting mixed up with break even and projected score. So in your example, they need to score 48 to break even. But if they get their projected score (say 100pts), then they will rise 50K

                Kewbie Bear · 21/04/2019 at 09:36

Awesome, thank you for clearing that up, I was doing a big confusion!

          JohnDJ59 · 20/04/2019 at 22:50

It might mean nothing to you Hawk, but I like it as a guide on match day for the rookies, as to how much they could go up in price.

            Twilightingale · 21/04/2019 at 01:03

Generally first year players, projected scores are the same as what theyaverage

No one could’ve projected Darling to score 9, take them with a grain of salt

              JohnDJ59 · 21/04/2019 at 12:32

I do take them with a grain of salt Twilightingale, but they are still handy as a guide to how much a rookie could go up in price. Score more points than projected they will generate more cash than expected, score less and they won't make as much.

Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 20:29

Jake Lloyd..37 at half time…nice! πŸ˜‰

    Holty01 · 20/04/2019 at 20:31

I know. Not having him early has been horrible. Maybe a couple of bad games could allow us to get him in. Although it will still be hard to find the money<img draggable="false" class="emoji" alt="😟" src="">

    Saritz · 20/04/2019 at 20:34

    He'll still get 100+

      Russty_ · 20/04/2019 at 20:35

Only saying that cause I hope I can afford him at some point.

        Rick Grimes · 20/04/2019 at 20:41

The plick will probably still go 120. He's a massive second half seagull.

        Saritz · 20/04/2019 at 20:42

        Im the same with Whitfield.

    TommyC99 · 20/04/2019 at 21:47

He still managed to Ton up….

Saritz · 20/04/2019 at 20:41

A lot of the popular trade in options this week have flopped. Given our cows have not fully fattened yet, it hard to see how these trade in options didn't involve some form of sideways trading (or trading without getting the rightful return on our investments). It just reinforces that holding and sticking to long term plans is (typically) the best way to go about it.

Rick Grimes · 20/04/2019 at 20:44

Cripps or Danger for C. Had VC on Gawn but my cutoff is 135.

    TommyC99 · 20/04/2019 at 20:53

I’ve got the same question. Really liking Danger against the hawks. Big stage and coming off a poor game last week. I think Cripps is a very safe pick though

    Jess · 20/04/2019 at 22:07

      Jess · 20/04/2019 at 22:08

Cripps scores so easily. He would have gone even better last weeknif not for a slow start. Danger has worked hard for his decent scores lately imo

TommyC99 · 20/04/2019 at 21:48

There’s a reason why he’s so cheap. He’s kicked 4 and still only has 63pts

ZzZCalintZzZ · 20/04/2019 at 21:50

Lol i swear if Lloyd played for any other club his ceiling would be shot. Guy just 1 > two's in defence the whole time, how many games has he been the highest disposer for Sydney now? that's how bad Sydney has become

Rick Grimes · 20/04/2019 at 21:55

Dusty for under $500k. Looks tasty all of a sudden.

    BlueBaggerJosh · 20/04/2019 at 22:02

Riewoldt in might mean a bit more midfield time? Either way will absolutely tear the demons apart

    COREYSC · 21/04/2019 at 09:19

Dusty is on the never again list for me after last season alongside Walters and Billings

Brn · 20/04/2019 at 22:06

Been talking him up all week as a good potential swap for setterfield etc. Has backed it up. If named next week his price rise would make him worth the risk

    Brn · 21/04/2019 at 08:00

Not sure. With fwd rookies how they are, scores like his on field instead of setterfield or parker could really boost the team.

      Pitman · 21/04/2019 at 12:02

I'm thinking of swapping balta for him. I'm guessing with baltas last few games and POG last game he's going to be first on the chopping block then Bolton next up youd think

Jess · 20/04/2019 at 22:16

Think i've been lucky to be able to loophole pettruc, and have hore/drew on field. Butter's 74 will do with constable out too

    Saritz · 20/04/2019 at 22:29

Well done Jess. What kind of projected score are you looking at?

      Jwss · 21/04/2019 at 07:57

Early days but proj 2350 πŸ™‚

        Holty01 · 21/04/2019 at 09:40

Hell Jess, if you get that it would be huge. I think 2300 this week will be well over average

          Brn · 21/04/2019 at 10:07

          Go captain crippsy then πŸ™‚

            Brn · 21/04/2019 at 10:08

Stalked you jess. You are in my league

Brn · 20/04/2019 at 22:31

Just a callout to the trolls who abused me for having the opinion in preseason that I thought darling would be lucky to average over 80. Currently averaging 62 so all that abuse wasn't really nice was it? You're welcome πŸ™‚

    Saritz · 20/04/2019 at 22:35

Everyone is welcome to their opinion. But some on here push there opinion as fact hahaha. Nobody would play this game if we all shared the same opinions and had identical teams! Im glad Darling is'nt in my though πŸ™‚

      Saritz · 20/04/2019 at 22:36

I should point out though… Darling could easily average over 80 by years end. Its only round 5

        Brn · 21/04/2019 at 07:54

Yeab i was blasted for saying i think he will average around 80. Some people seemed to think he would average 100+..

    neil demons delight · 21/04/2019 at 08:00

NOPE on the contrary I took your welcomed advice Thanks Brn forwards were always a wait and see

    hedski · 21/04/2019 at 10:31

Can't say I abused you Brn, but God I wish I had of listened, he's killing me.

      Saritz · 21/04/2019 at 10:39

Ouch! So that 9 was on ground!? He wasn’t even injured!! But stick with him now. It was wet. WC are a great team. He’ll bounce back

        hedski · 21/04/2019 at 14:42

Yeah on field, gonna have to stick with him for a while he's lost too much to trade now.

Tommo09 · 20/04/2019 at 22:37

Any chance that O’Meara will be a late out?

Josh · 21/04/2019 at 01:06

Should I take Gawn’s 126 as VC or stick the C on Cripps, Danger, or MCrouch???
I’ve got Laird and 61 points vs Libba and Dunkley as the remaining uniques, so the captaincy call could be make or break. Opponent currently has Cripps C.

    Ja191 · 21/04/2019 at 02:03

Libba Dunkley should beat your players so you might wanna roll the dice on danger, cripps/danger will both beat 126 imo

    Tyruddanaut · 21/04/2019 at 07:52

Absolutely take the VC. There is no player that has a higher chance of going over 126 than going under

    Holty01 · 21/04/2019 at 09:52

My cutoff is 125 if it’s any consolation. You should have a cutoff Josh that way you never need to worry about it. I’d take it but others I’m sure will say otherwise

TelescopicCox · 21/04/2019 at 08:12

Who are we on for Captain? Still tossing up between Cripps, Macrae and Danger

    KSinny · 21/04/2019 at 08:25

Same here can't decide between the 3, currently have it on Cripps but could change any time

    Kewbie Bear · 21/04/2019 at 09:17

Macrae started his strong run of form against Carlton last year and scores well historically against them

    COREYSC · 21/04/2019 at 09:17

I’ve gone with Cripps, just looking for consistency Macrae hasn’t let me down yet this season either Dangerfield is more inconsistent

    TelescopicCox · 21/04/2019 at 09:43

I’m leaning to Macrae. He’s my gut feel pick

    Saritz · 21/04/2019 at 09:52

Cripps for mine… and be the highest SC scorer after rd 5

      Saritz · 21/04/2019 at 14:36

      Cripps on track!

Lazza · 21/04/2019 at 08:44

Considering Sweet to ROB for cash gen .. will cost $34k and 2 trades (in/out) and also leaves me without a loop hole after next week.. is it worthwhile?
Aside from Setterfield (I’m holding) and Constable all my rookies are playing..

    Rocksta_ · 21/04/2019 at 09:13

I went Setters to ROB Lazza. I definitely wouldn’t get ROB in if it costs money. Defeats the purpose of getting him in.

BadgerHoney7 · 21/04/2019 at 09:02

Jordan Clark or Sam Collins for this week? Surely Collins right

    COREYSC · 21/04/2019 at 09:16

I don’t have Collins but I would play Collins over Clark

      TOPHAWK1 · 21/04/2019 at 10:05

You sure Hawk? He is one of players named on the interchange bench? Or you heard that he is going to be a late out?

        SC_Donkey · 21/04/2019 at 14:12

I hope he's a late out. Hore sitting on the bench.

      TommyC99 · 21/04/2019 at 10:40

Would they make him a late out due to being “managed?” Though they would make that decision earlier if that was to be the case. I do hope you’re right though so I get Hore’s score

        Shake_n_bake · 21/04/2019 at 12:09

        Hes playing

      COREYSC · 21/04/2019 at 12:34

Clark is named on the interchange for Geelong tomorrow

Saritz · 21/04/2019 at 09:25

Not a lot of big scores from the big guns this week. I think anything over 2200 would be a great score? How is everyone looking so far for projections?

    Kewbie Bear · 21/04/2019 at 09:28

2160 project atm with 10 players to go including my Captain. No one in my team has bottomed out (except Scott) but no one has knocked it out of the park either

      Saritz · 21/04/2019 at 09:36

Same. I’m projected 2253, but that assumes Cripps gets his big projected score as my captain. With what’s happened, so far I’m a little worried

        Kewbie Bear · 21/04/2019 at 09:42

I am going with Macrae as C, a decision I fully expect to bite me in the bum. I reckon if you hit that projected you'll have done very well

    TOPHAWK1 · 21/04/2019 at 09:54

Travelling OK at this stage. Dodged a few turds so far. The only spud is Parker with his 51. Projected to go 2255 with Crippsy as captain with 9 to play. (1207 current score) Cheers Saritz.

    Holty01 · 21/04/2019 at 09:55

All my major leagues people are projected between 2150-2250

      Saritz · 21/04/2019 at 10:20

    Rocksta_ · 21/04/2019 at 11:36

    2292. Going okay this week.

      Saritz · 21/04/2019 at 12:41

That is huge for this week! Hope you get it

        Rocksta_ · 21/04/2019 at 13:51

        Cheers Mate

    TommyC99 · 21/04/2019 at 12:15

I think par score will be very dependant on Cripps today. He is a very popular C pick and a “lesser” score could mean a low scoring round.
As for myself I’m 1135 from 12. Not bad, not great. All my premos have delivered so far, missing out on Hore and Petrucelle hurts but I’m sure many others are in the same boat. Projected 2211 but that’s with Danger captain who’s projected to score under 120

      Saritz · 21/04/2019 at 12:51

Good point Tommy! I think Danger goes large today… a good 20pts more that his projected

TOPHAWK1 · 21/04/2019 at 10:00

Hi Community. Is Dusty back? It appears that one week holiday has given him time to think and get himself together. He looked refreshed and wanted to be out there. I loved that crumbed snap goal and his celebration after he kicked it. He looked pumped and hungry again. He had a BE of 178K and scored 115SC and is priced at $520K. His price may well slip below $500K. That is insane value. What are others thinking?

    Brn · 21/04/2019 at 10:16

I like rockliff for less. Not a fan of Martin

    Saritz · 21/04/2019 at 10:22

Good thing is we get to watch him for another few weeks to make up our minds on him. I’m watching closely

    Holty01 · 21/04/2019 at 10:29

Big call. Has only had 1 sc relevant season as a mid. Was good when he was forward but apart from his Brownlow year, his best is 108. Is that really good enough for a mid? He did seem like he cared yesterday but 1 game in 2 seasons where he looked like he gave a rats, just doesn’t fill me with confidence.

    TommyC99 · 21/04/2019 at 10:38

Looked really good last night. I like him but I just traded him for Libba last week, so not sure if it’s morally acceptable to bring him back in lol

      Derek · 21/04/2019 at 10:47

Same here. Buy back players doesn’t feel right.

I do like how durable he is. Tough bugger

    Rocksta_ · 21/04/2019 at 11:35

I’m getting on next week TH. With Jack due back soon he’ll spend more time in the guts. I too liked the desire he showed last night. The ‘Don’t Argues’ were back in force as well.

Pranav · 21/04/2019 at 11:48

Charlie Curnow out

Lekdog · 21/04/2019 at 11:55

Let's panic before the Blues game LIVE here:

Pman · 21/04/2019 at 12:05

Franklin is no longer relevant in Supercoach and hasn't been for the last 2 years or so.

TommyC99 · 21/04/2019 at 12:29

Is taking Danger C over Cripps worth the risk? Feeling like the stage is set for Danger but so many people are going Cripps it could hurt me big time

Shake_n_bake · 21/04/2019 at 12:33

Sc stress mode keep Gawn vc or capt Macrea bont cripps or danger. Capt choice l think will settle a few league games

    TRIGGA_HAPPY · 21/04/2019 at 12:41

If u r playing me my advice is take gawn 🀣

      Shake_n_bake · 21/04/2019 at 13:00

Oh no 10 mins to go!!

    Lazza · 21/04/2019 at 12:43

I’d go Macrae Shaket… the comps are so close this weekend that 20 pts is going to make a difference in just if my leagues

      Lazza · 21/04/2019 at 12:43

      Shaker.. sorry ‘bout that

TRIGGA_HAPPY · 21/04/2019 at 12:37

The setters switch.

Put the E on butters in the mids as played early.

Put the E on petruculli in the fwds played early.

Cats teams finalised Sat night. Constable rested.

Due the wonders of DPP swap setters from mid to fwd with kelly.

And there you have the setters switch. πŸ‘

BlueBaggerJosh · 21/04/2019 at 13:46

Brought SPS off to get the Petruccelle ton instead of Marshall… has almost equaled his score in one quarter ARGHHH. Oh well, I’m very happy I started SPS it was a big punt

hedski · 21/04/2019 at 13:54

Someone on an earlier thread said Gibbons will play more on ball this week instead of fwd, he is looking a hell of a lot better.

    Russty_ · 21/04/2019 at 14:08

You just gotta hope he doesn't end up on 40 now bud lol..that motivated him, just got a nice goal! πŸ™‚

    Holty01 · 21/04/2019 at 14:24

Thanks Hedski. I thought he would with no Setterfield. Was never 100% certain but made sense. Now let’s hope when Setterfield returns it stays this way and Gibbons stays midfield

    Saritz · 21/04/2019 at 14:26

Yeah, I was saying once the Carlton forward line starts to function he will improve his numbers. And that is happening today. McKay is huge so far

Finnius · 21/04/2019 at 14:02

God I love Patrick Cripps.

    Russty_ · 21/04/2019 at 14:05

Russty_ · 21/04/2019 at 14:02

Where's Libba playing?…doesn't look like he's been in the guts wonder they're losing..Beveridge!!

    KSinny · 21/04/2019 at 14:24

    Much better second quarter

    Saritz · 21/04/2019 at 14:28

He was playing up forward for the first quarter and a bit. Finally magnets realized where Libba is best for his team and switched him back into the guts. Libba done amazing to still be on track for the ton

      Russty_ · 21/04/2019 at 14:31

Yeah thought so Saritz, that's a relief he came to his senses..needs to leave him in there.

        neil demons delight · 21/04/2019 at 14:40

Beverage will kill Libba owners and his team Libba Bont and Macca his 1st choice mids

Jester · 21/04/2019 at 14:02

Is Walsh the best first year player since Judd? Looking more like a keeper with every game he plays. Will end up the ultimate m9. Outscoring many so called premos.

    Saritz · 21/04/2019 at 14:33

Definitely a keeper… looping him at m9 will be very handy later in the season

    TRIGGA_HAPPY · 21/04/2019 at 15:50

    Best ever.
Considering the team he plays for.

    Russty_ · 21/04/2019 at 16:00

Fantastic and unbelievable for a 1st year rookie to outscore the Juggernaut cripps…Walsh is the best thing since Judd.

    Patch · 21/04/2019 at 18:50

From a Supercoach perpective we did say this about Kelly last year as the "best since Barlow" and he dropped off, from an 18-year-old I'd expect the same but MY GOSH if he's not setting the world alight for now. If he keeps going as is then absolutely

      Saritz · 21/04/2019 at 20:08

I think Walsh might be different. From all reports he is a super athlete and super professional. He also plays predominately outside mid, so I think the club is trying to protect his young body so he can get through year 1 ok. Imagine him in another 1-2 pre-seasons!!

    Tommy · 21/04/2019 at 19:34

Looks a jet, but even kelly wasn’t a keeper last year and he’s a few years older. The 18yo’s always tire out! You’d be shattered if you didn’t start him though

    Saritz · 21/04/2019 at 19:48

Also, he is now the first player in history to record 24+ disposals per game in his first 5 games. In watching the game, he was unlucky to not have a lot more of the ball kicked to him. He always seemed to find space in the middle, however his team mates kept taking the wider option… must have been the game plan. But he is such a good user that thye need to just trust him and get it in his hands more

TommyC99 · 21/04/2019 at 14:37

Picked Parker over petrucelle

Clark/duursma over hore

Atkins over gibbons

God I love rookies

    JohnDJ59 · 21/04/2019 at 15:18

Had the E on Parker instead of Petruccelle, had Duursma on field instead of Hore, traded out Gibbons instead of Scott.

COREYSC · 21/04/2019 at 14:49

All credit to the bloke who said their would be a change in role for Gibbons they were exactly right and he’s killing it! Shame I chose Atkins over Gibbons on the field but well done to that community member!

    Brendan Bolton · 21/04/2019 at 15:03

you are welcome my friend, it was all my doing

    Holty01 · 21/04/2019 at 15:14

Hey Corey. Yeah I called it but don’t have him on field. Will be a nice cash cow for you now however.

      COREYSC · 21/04/2019 at 19:21

Haha same here mate, hopefully this new role will make him be a consistent 60-70 Scorer now

    Derek · 21/04/2019 at 16:01

Why couldn’t you loop gibbons and Atkins with Constable?

      hedski · 21/04/2019 at 16:02

Most went Scott I'm guessing Derek

      COREYSC · 21/04/2019 at 19:19

Yeah I went Scott as Emergency

      Beezneez · 21/04/2019 at 19:58

If Stack had scored poorly I would have looped Gibbons or Atkins (probably Atkins). Happy enough with 80. Looped Petrucelle with Setterfield so even happier. Vc'd Cripps who my opponents had as c and now I have c on Danger to double their score on him. 2039 with Danger to go.

TBone_9 · 21/04/2019 at 15:31

Not feeling as good as I did last night about trading Gibbons out to Stack. Could be a good cash generator now πŸ™ will be keeping a close eye on Hately, looks to be a gun player!

    Pranav · 21/04/2019 at 15:54

Did the opposite and held off bringing stack in and kept gibbons. Even thought gibbons did well today can’t see stack getting dropped and with stack low ownership will be a very good cash generator that everyone doesn’t have

    Russty_ · 21/04/2019 at 15:57

Could be stuck back in the fwd line when Setterfield gets back though..Stack's pretty good too.

Ja191 · 21/04/2019 at 15:37

who woulda thought gibbons would nearly be outscoring cripps with 5 mins to go in the fourth

Rick Grimes · 21/04/2019 at 15:40

Cripps turned to Crapps second half.

Pranav · 21/04/2019 at 15:47

cash_cows · 21/04/2019 at 15:47

wow, really should have taken gawn's score eh?
Now watch danger smash out a 150.

Tried to play too safe with cripps and got exactly that, a safe sub par score.

    Russty_ · 21/04/2019 at 16:02

I think those boys who said take anything over 125 were right…although 110 is still good mate.

      Brn · 21/04/2019 at 16:26

110 this week is good. It beat neale, grundy and macrae..

        What’s the risk? · 21/04/2019 at 16:28

If you could still C Dangerfield would you?

      cash_cows · 21/04/2019 at 16:59

      Yeah 110 is good.
Think we've all gotten used to being greedy with the VC loop over the years.

Holty01 · 21/04/2019 at 15:48

Mixed emotions. Had the C on Cripps but my beloved Blues had a win. You little beauty.

    Russty_ · 21/04/2019 at 15:49

Great win from your lads Holty, Cripps did ok, will probs get scaled up a little bit.

      Holty01 · 21/04/2019 at 15:54

Fantastic win. What I was more happy with was it was shared around and Cripps didn’t have to do it all by himself. The points were shared around which ultimately sacrificed his score a bit.

    Pranav · 21/04/2019 at 15:51

I’m happy with the Cripps C outscored VC Grundy so can’t complain

      Russty_ · 21/04/2019 at 17:33

Just over 4000 last week Neil..hindsight's a bugger.

Daniel · 21/04/2019 at 15:52

Should I go with Matt Crouch as my Captain today or roll the dice on Dangerfield, opponent had Cripps as Captain and had Gibbons on field so need to make some points up to have any chance of pulling out the W this week

    JohnDJ59 · 21/04/2019 at 16:08

Danger, who did you have as VC though, if you can still loop and he scored more than 125, take it.

      Daniel · 21/04/2019 at 16:13

Had the vc on Neale so I need to take the risk with a good captain now

        JohnDJ59 · 21/04/2019 at 16:18

Danger then, a big game against their main foe in Hawthorn, plus he would want a big game after last weekend.

    Saritz · 21/04/2019 at 16:14

Not a bad call with Crouch. I think he can have a day out. But Danger is the safer option. I think Danger can hit 130-140

Yeahnah · 21/04/2019 at 16:00

Didn’t watch the game but how does libba get 98 from 19 touches and 1.2?

    Saritz · 21/04/2019 at 16:16

Lots of contested ball and pressure acts

    Russty_ · 21/04/2019 at 16:18

Pretty good D/E and lots of hard ball gets I think, 14 contested possessions. Only 76% tog as well.

      Holty01 · 21/04/2019 at 16:43

It does make you wonder though that Cripps only scores 12 more when his first half was domination

        Lazza · 21/04/2019 at 16:56

32 handballs and 5 kicks does not help

Yeahnah · 21/04/2019 at 16:07

186 points vs Laird and B. Smith, gonna be close I reckon

    Brn · 21/04/2019 at 16:12

Very close. Think the laird/smith will win

Hawks · 21/04/2019 at 16:09

Gibbons & Petrucelle on the bench, 30's last week both get tons this week.

Just got to enjoy the cash generation.

Dave · 21/04/2019 at 16:24

Anything over 2200 would have to be a good score yes?

    Russty_ · 21/04/2019 at 16:32

    For sure this week.

    Saritz · 21/04/2019 at 16:40

In my leagues only about 20% going above 2200

    Patch · 21/04/2019 at 18:47

Absolutely. Plenty of popular picks scoring well but not many whacking it out of the ballbark. Looks like 2100 will be about par? Maybe a bit more…

    JohnDJ59 · 21/04/2019 at 18:52

I'm looking at 2150 and five wins out of nine in my leagues and I have been under par every week so far, so yes 2200 would be about par, anything over and you are doing well.

Russty_ · 21/04/2019 at 16:35

Walsh set to top 400K this week, reckon I'll just be leaving him in there at M8…trade saved.

    TommyC99 · 21/04/2019 at 18:27

    Luxury trade for sure russty!

    JohnDJ59 · 21/04/2019 at 19:34

He was always going to be my last traded, but I tend to have trouble getting to full premo, so yes he should end up being a good M8.

BlueBaggerJosh · 21/04/2019 at 16:37

SPS 136 on the bench 😑, locked in Cripps C when I could’ve went VC Cripps into Danger. Horrible week, lucky to score 2150 this week

Jack · 21/04/2019 at 17:38

How on earth did CD miss that intercept mark from Smith.

    Russty_ · 21/04/2019 at 19:24

noticed that too! Was happy to see the bump up to B Crouch. Sometimes the CD stats guys mark a passage of play for review between goals and at the end of the quarter, then adjust. Im guessing they needed to review a big passage where Crouch was influential, thats why the points were added late

    COREYSC · 21/04/2019 at 19:54

Hmm yeah I saw the same thing, i’m Happy that got B.Crouch to ton up but M.Croch was my unique in my matchup but I hope 2 points is the final margin

Tommy · 21/04/2019 at 19:48

Bloody collins! I finally decide to field him and he’s pulls out a 45! Cheers! Need a 120 from kelly tomorrow!!

Steeeve · 21/04/2019 at 19:55

I need Atkins to score me 42…. what are the odds?

    Sharkmove_King · 21/04/2019 at 20:28

    Saritz · 21/04/2019 at 20:30

    iamme · 21/04/2019 at 22:00

Remember Steeeve he scored 68 last week…so I kind of like those odds.

      Nifty · 21/04/2019 at 22:02

I need him to score 74..😩

    NoLanguage96 · 22/04/2019 at 00:38

I need a 47 from him! Fingers crossed

KSinny · 21/04/2019 at 19:56

2017 with Danger and Kelly to go, how's everyone else looking this week?

    Saritz · 21/04/2019 at 20:01

1866 with Danger, Kelly, Cousins and Scrimshaw to come. Projected 2217

    Holty01 · 21/04/2019 at 20:02

    1960 with 3 to play

    Patch · 21/04/2019 at 20:05

2007 with Danger and Clark to come, Hore's 96 to come into play if Clark pulls out.

    GloryDays94 · 21/04/2019 at 20:49

2016 with Kelly, Danger, Scrimshaw and Atkins to go

      KSinny · 21/04/2019 at 21:02

Wow your going really good this week mate

    Rocksta_ · 21/04/2019 at 20:54

2114 with Danger to go. Cripps C and underpar Macrae really put a dent in my 2300 aspirations unfortunately.

    Derek · 21/04/2019 at 22:21

1830 with Danger(C), Kelly, Scrimshaw and Clark (Hore’s Score on bench if needed)

    140, 100 and a couple of 70’s will get me 2350

      Holty01 · 21/04/2019 at 23:08

Heading for a big score mate. Hope it works out for you tomorrow

    iamme · 21/04/2019 at 22:49

18/1796 with Cripps (C)….So just the 4 Geelong boys in Danger, Kelly, Atkins and Clarke to go…. Like many, I hope Clarke is a late out then Hores 96 comes into play.

    TommyC99 · 21/04/2019 at 23:49

I’m 1760 with Danger C, Scrimshaw, Clark and Atkins left. Hoping I can crack 2250. A late out in defense to get Hore’s score would definitely help

    UpBeat · 22/04/2019 at 08:04

1920 with captain Danger and Atkins to play

    TelescopicCox · 22/04/2019 at 09:11

2054 with Danger and Atkins. Happy with that considering I’ve got Darling’s 9 plus Macrae Captain

RoyWetard · 21/04/2019 at 19:58

Currently on 1752. The Milera injury and Wagner over Stack (he couldn't outscore Scott!!!) sucks but optimistic I can still hit 2200 with Worpel, Cousins and Captain Danger to come. A Worpel late out wouldn't be so bad as Petruccelle would be the replacement.

Greg · 21/04/2019 at 20:23

forgot to put the emergency on scott to loophole him so I put it on gibbons instead… when mistakes work out

Tommo09 · 21/04/2019 at 20:44

Who wins?
O’Meara, Scrimshaw + 19 vs Hawkins and Clark

Should I put Clark on for Scrimshaw so it becomes O’Meara and 19 vs Hawkins?

    Ja191 · 21/04/2019 at 21:01

Nah scrimshaw should beat Clark, you should easily win

    Tiger · 22/04/2019 at 10:46

    Derek · 22/04/2019 at 10:58

If you are ahead, I’d eliminate the possibilities and match Clark so it is a straight race between JOM and Hawkins, JOM with a 19pt head start. Take that anyday.

Having said that, I’m a big Scrimshaw fan, I think he should outscire Clark, but the odds say match his players.

TOPHAWK1 · 21/04/2019 at 21:12

I own Gibbons! I never would have thought he could pump out 104 SC today. Will take it. Good stuff Blues!!

    Derek · 21/04/2019 at 22:35

That’s what you want from the rookies. Just need one big game. Stays in their average for 3 weeks and pumps their value ready for culling.

Hore, Petruucelle, O’Brien and Drew all smashing it this week. Go you good things.

Tyruddanaut · 21/04/2019 at 21:46

McKay (Carlton AND Adelaide) are now SuperCoach studs. Carlton broke the 100 and I’m happy

Saritz · 21/04/2019 at 21:55

Happy Easter Hawk. You missed seeing a world record!! Here is the full list of players to have got 24+ disposals in their first 5 AFL games:

2019 – Sam Walsh

    TOPHAWK1 · 21/04/2019 at 22:01

Holey moley!! Congratulations to Sam Walsh! What a talent. Have had him on field since round 1. πŸ™‚

tiger · 21/04/2019 at 22:13

26 points up. Do I take Gawn as captain or risk it with Danger ? Opposition has Atkins and Kelly to play.

Derek · 21/04/2019 at 22:28

Had a good Sunday for a change.

7 played today – Cripps, Walsh, Gibbons, Libba, MCrouch, Sloane and BSmith.

Libba’s 98 was the lowest.

And O’Brien making cash on the bench.

There is always Monday. Oh dear. Big C on Dangerfield. Will be watching game from behind the couch, carn the Hawks, but let Danger, Kelly and Clark score well.

    Brn · 22/04/2019 at 09:32

Nice work derek. Whats your projection?

      Brn · 22/04/2019 at 09:33

      Also carn the cats

        Derek · 22/04/2019 at 09:55

It will depend a fair bit on how Danger goes with the C armband.

I’m more optimistic about getting 2350 than the hawks winning today

chuck_a_spekky · 22/04/2019 at 10:37

Clark or Scrimshaw on the ground?

    Tiger · 22/04/2019 at 10:44

    Scrimshaw imo

    Derek · 22/04/2019 at 10:53

The Hawks have brought in Brand to replace Frawley, and he is a much improved player, but the moment Frawley went off two weeks ago, Scrimshaw went from 40 to 80 in 1 quarter and last week got a tonne. He can play tall and will be given a big task against the cats. Should see plenty of the ball.

Clark will be tiring (I’d love if he had a rest and let us get Hore’s score)

I have both on field so you have a choice

      chuck_a_spekky · 22/04/2019 at 11:31

Thanks Derek! Should be a ripping game!

    TOPHAWK1 · 22/04/2019 at 13:23

I am playing Scrimshaw. Clark can stay on the bench.

    JohnDJ59 · 22/04/2019 at 16:56

Not much in it by the look of it.

Shake_n_bake · 22/04/2019 at 14:23

Hawks capt out

Goat____23 · 22/04/2019 at 15:19

Need 160 from Sicily and Atkins… Lets go!

AuroraBorealis?! · 22/04/2019 at 15:41

Love seeing my captain Danger playing forward, this weeks a write off

    Ja191 · 22/04/2019 at 15:58

does scott not see a correlation between danger playing mid and them winning ffs

    AuroraBorealis?! · 22/04/2019 at 15:58

F*cking Clarko WHAT ARE YOU DOING

      AuroraBorealis?! · 22/04/2019 at 16:18

      Chris rather*

    Russty_ · 22/04/2019 at 18:02

Danger comes through in the end worries!

      AuroraBorealis?! · 22/04/2019 at 18:28

Needed a 160 from him to beat my opponent, lost by 20ish points in the end. He looked so hungry when he was near the ball though, i swear if Scott had have stuck him in the guts from the onset he would've made the 160

        derek · 22/04/2019 at 19:14

he did very well to get what he did

Holty01 · 22/04/2019 at 16:34

U2 mate. Family always comes first. Happy Easter

Shake_n_bake · 22/04/2019 at 16:37

Jetta our for 2 months. Hore will keep his spot

    Holty01 · 22/04/2019 at 16:41

    Good for Hore owners

    JohnDJ59 · 22/04/2019 at 16:48

Yes I saw that, but the fact he kept his spot with Jetta playing anyway and he is in form, I would have thought he was safe at least till both May and Lever come in.

Sam_01 · 22/04/2019 at 19:42

How’d we go boys
2219 for me snuck up 800 odd spots into the top 2000 now
Thoughts on job security of Ross and baker
This weeks options
1. Clark out to kelly via Moore dpp
2. B.scott out to rocky (pushes Walsh to m8)
3. Just grab both Richmond rookies and pull the trigger next week

COREYSC · 22/04/2019 at 20:59

2280 this week back inside the top 1K after a shocker last week, ranked 898 now the challenge is set to stay here
