The Standing Room | Round Four

Filed in Supercoach by on 13/04/2019 • views: 4688

After last week’s high scoring, this week looks to bring everyone plummeting down to earth … unless you captained Grundy.

Which of your premos have fired and which have flopped? What score are you looking at heading to? And how ’bout ANTHONY McDONALD-TIPUNGWUTI’S SEVEN GOALS???? That’s what I’m talking about!

Such a shithouse round. I'm just drawing a line under it. Flush the dunny and move on.

  2. Patch says:

I've just seen the Danger footage… does he get a week?

    • Patch says:

      (For anyone who hasn't seen it – https://www.foxsports.com.au/video/afl/afl/is-dan… )

      • Maverick_ says:

ahhhh jeez that doesn't look good maybe if he left it at the first hit but the fact he goes again doesn't look great it was a complete accident to get him in the head though. I'd fine him but we know the AFL want to completely banish any off the ball hits from our game. may get a week hopefullly appeals it and gets off.

    • Teddy021 says:

Hope not! I've wasted enough trades already!

Our match up is going down to the wire, Patch!

    • nankthetank says:

It'll be an interesting one, could go either way I reckon. Off the ball and deliberate hits never go down too well with the MRO

    • Pman says:

Wouldn't have thought so, next to nothing in it. Am a Pies supporter so no bias either.

    • Dermin8r says:

Nah, they wouldn't suspend their poster boy, he'll be fine.

    • Nice_Person says:

Does it matter too much? Everyone has him

  3. TommyC99 says:

16 players played so far, on 1470 with VC score added
    6 tons (inc Grundy VC)
    10 scores below 75
M crouch, Hurn, crippa, Walsh, scrimshaw and setters/Parker to go. 2000 from here looks like the goal. No rocky and Whitfield hurts but don’t have Tkelly

  4. Rivo says:

Tough round, 8 scores under 75,
though the VC loop on Grundy saved me. Projected score around 2200.

  5. Yeah na cheers says:

The round started amazingly nek minute it has all gone tumbling down… what's a par score this week?

    • Patch says:

I'm seeing a lot of people heading towards a 2050ish score, I think 2100 could be par this week? Depends on how big Cripps goes? I dunno, it's a funny old one this week Cheersy.

      • JohnDJ59 says:

I'm seeing the same Patch, a lot of the teams I'm playing are looking at scores of around 2050, some even as high as 2150, I'll only get around 1950, my lowest score so far this season, so under par again.

  6. Steeeve says:

Getting really sick of rookies absolutely spudding it. Cash gen is going to be an issue at this rate.

  7. GloryDays94 says:

    I hate Mundy!!!!

  8. Ken says:

It's so frustrating… I always put the wrong rookies on the field

  9. Ian says:

    1540 six to play tomorrow.

  10. Twilightingale says:

Butters promising cash generation gone to a complete halt, Petruccelle being a slow burn turned into a bigger slow burn and to make things even better Balta joins the historic club of a 123k rookie loosing money for his 1st price change. Has any other bottom priced player achieved that?

At least Atkins set a new high score for the season, lets hope Gibbons and Setters follow his lead.

  11. Twilightingale says:

Haven't seen an Essendon game this year, what's Devon Smith's role? Is he predominately midfield like last season or more of a forward like he was in GWS. Is he a buy low and can return to last years numbers or last season was a one-off and he's just not supercoach relevant

    • nankthetank says:

Playing a lot more on the flank this year, he'll have some games where he rotates into the mid more than others but until he gets some consistency I wouldn't be touching him

    • Derek says:

I’m still looking at getting him for a good price

  12. TBone_9 says:

Looking at about a 2100-2150 score at the moment, that whole Geelong and GWS game was a graveyard for scoring other than Whitfield. Trying to figure out a way to trade out Dunkley and bring in Rocky this week I think. Don’t know how I could with no midfield swing players, otherwise I would have to trade to a Worpel/J. Martin type player. These rookie scores are making me want to find a way to upgrade and get them off the field quickly!

  13. kinglear009 says:

    Thank you Grundy.

  14. kinglear009 says:

In the acclaimed novel the Martian, astronaut Mark Watney is faced with the daunting challenge of surviving with a limited food supply, and must farm in space a sustainable source of food. To this end, he dedicates his energies and potential to the cultivation of potatoes, and even a meagre yield is the pinnacle of his human achievement.

Unlike Watney, I have no need for starchy macronutrients, nor do I urgently require an ongoing agricultural support.

Unfortunately, like Watney, I have a lot of spuds.

    • Saritz says:

I just about wet myself reading this. Thanks for making me laugh at our dire SC situation this round

  15. Rocksta_ says:

Am I the only person in Australia playing an opponent in a league whom doesn’t have Butters? His 23 has sunk me. Scrimshaw scores more than 50 today and I lose.
I Concur with many others, we need to start upgrading these Rookies ASAP. That said, are there actually any downgrade targets to enable painting the fence? Stack only scored 40 this week and as such are we just bringing in another spud with low JS in order to cash another spud Rookie in?
This has by far been the most frustrating SC season that I’ve ever experienced to date.

  16. Rocksta_ says:

Am I the only person in Australia playing an opponent in a league whom doesn’t have Butters? Rocky and Butters combined to sink me yesterday. If Scrimshaw scores more than 50 today, I lose.
This has by far been the worst start to a season I’ve ever had. Worst spud rookie batch ever. Libba sunk me last week and Rocky this week. I think the day of GNR is over. I only started 2 mid pricers, and that has proven to be my downfall so far this season with all these spud Rookies.
Bring on 2020 I say. SC is supposed to be fun!
PS. How on earth does Balta get a game. Is he the worst performing SC Rookie in history to have played 3 games?

    • Holty01 says:

Hey Rocksta. It has been a tough week for all I recon. I’m one of the fortunate ones who doesn’t have Butters and Rozee this week. Although they have been Good prior to yesterday. Just didn’t want to pay a premium for to many rookies as already had Walsh Setters Scrim and Clark.
Let’s hope the rest of the rookies perform today otherwise there will be a lot of slow burns. On better news, Ross looked the goods for the Tigers yesterday. Might be a nice cash cow coming up.

      • Browncow says:

Would Stack still be on the radar Holty or wait for Ross now? Tiges seems to have some interesting rooks popping up.

        • Russty_ says:

Rotham from WC looks pretty good too, not sure if he keeps his spot though, Ross should for awhile..Ross looks solid.

          • SC_Donkey says:

I'll be keep an eye on in a week or two.

          • Browncow says:

Thanks Russty. Rotham looked like he had been at it for years! Like you say though may not last long in that backline. Might need to trade for a forward with a Parker, Schulz, Setterfield (Danger) all at risk.

        • Holty01 says:

Hi mate. Unfortunately that 108 he scored only stays in his price change for 1 week. Will make money but that 40 hurts a bit. Rotham and Ross look good. I hope Rotham gets a few more games. Ross looks a player and wouldn’t be surprised if he took some midfield time from Dusty while he seems he doesn’t care

      • Rocksta_ says:

        Cheers Holty

    • johnno2908 says:

I’m only in 3 leagues… in which 2 are cash.
I have Butters as a unique on field in all 3. But in the 2 cash leagues, I have Grundy as unique at least.

  17. KSinny says:

Horrible round for me, 1582 with Collins, Setterfield, Walsh and Cripps to go. Depending on how the rookies go and whether or not Cripps can go big I shouldn't get less than 2000. Terrible scores with Danger, Williams, Clarke, Kelly and Butters:(

  18. UpBeat says:

Marty Hore looks a brilliant choice compared to spud rookies this week. He scored more than Danger, Kelly, Menegola etc.. what a week so far !!

  19. Tyruddanaut says:

Similar round to always for me. Some absolute spuds ‘Butters, Oliver, Dangerfield, Selwood’ and some heroes ‘Grundy VC, Hurn, Mumford, Heeney’

Already planned my first trade with Butters to Stack, and hopefully that frees enough to get Rocky or Libba. Fingers crossed

  20. COREYSC says:

Screenshotted my rank at 631 cause I won’t see it again possibly, should scrap to 2050 thank god I loopholed Grundy because that’s what will get me to 2,000 this week what a shocker look to next week to bounce back and will be making my first trades of the season!

  21. TommyC99 says:

    Field setterfield or Parker?

  22. dontblushbaby says:

Traded Dusty, could have gone Neale but went Rocky for value as I see him as a top Mid this year , at this stage I will be going early on Butters to Mundy via DPP next week

    • TOPHAWK1 says:

Close tussle mate in Trigs Happy place league! Looks like you will pip me mate. Just remember that Fyfe will likely be back next week. It might slow Mundy up a bit. Cheers. TH

      • dontblushbaby says:

Will come down to how Cripps goes for me TH, In regards to Mundy I have taken into account Fyfe who I also have , just believe he will be top a 8 FWD anyway besides the rookies might fatten at the same time so I want to start the cull early, however I won't be trading the likes of Gibbons, a waste of a trade imo and if he gets dropped he will be more value for looping, Cheers ,good luck mate

    • Derek says:

Mundy was very below average until Fyfe went down.

If Fyfe back, Mundy will be back to his 65% TOG

  23. Loop says:

I only watched a bit of Adelaides game and checked to see if B Crouch was playing because he wasnt on the screen for about the first ten minutes. Did he play in the forward line for most of the night?

    • Brn says:

Got a bump and went off for a bit. Most crows premiums sucked. He played both fwd and on ball. Plenty of mid time but had an off night

    • Holty01 says:

Started on the bench. Didn’t come on for the first 5min. Then copped a head knock which forced him off for close to a quarter as they had to stop the bleeding. Only played 65% game time.

  24. Yeahnah says:

Walsh + Setterfield vs 178 points who wins?

  25. Will says:

Do we believe Rocky will finish a top 8 mid?

    • Maverick_ says:

May very well be we know his history his been there before. looks to have a nice job role and body's in good knick.
Unfortunately i'm not sure how to get him in now.

  26. Yeahnah says:

Balta 10 touches 7 clangers.. cya mate

  27. Maverick_ says:

Goodluck in 'the rat pack' russty. It's going to come down to the wire in whats been a horrible week of supercoach.

    • Russty_ says:

Cheers Mav, Scrimshaw and Parker will probably score 60 between em so you should be all good, haha good luck mate.

  28. Andy says:

For somebody who watched the game, what happened to Dahlhaus?

    • Russty_ says:

There was a virus running through the Cat's premos called Scorebuggerall-itis…Danger and Kelly got tagged at different times, not sure what Dahlhaus's excuse is.

      • ZzZCalintZzZ says:

Not worried about the Doll even though I bloody brought him this week for Settlers field 3.7% alcohol brew. Doll House even in his best 2 seasons 15/16 he had 2 scores below 60. Just hope this is his only one this year 👍🏻

  29. Hawk131415 says:

sitting on 1493, projected 2075 with 7 to play, this is disturbing

    • Yeahnah says:

I'll be lucky to crack 2000 Hawk. I feel wronged

      • DEE says:

I'm looking at 1900-1950…. horrible week!

        • Hawk131415 says:

Its a terrible week boys thats for sure, rooks spudding up everywhere as well as some premos

          • DEE says:

G'day Hawk how you been mate? Haven't seen you on here for a while, I'm having a tough old week if you ask…. I'm on 1501 with 5 to play and that includes Scrimshaw, Parker and Settrfield. So I'll be lucky to even get above 1900 I reckon and just to top it off, went to the catttterryyyy yesterday to watch my beloved CATS drop that game against GWS…. Should have been 4-0! Aaarrghhhh

            • Hawk131415 says:

Yeah im good mate, yourself? yeah that was a shock loss, started well, yeah i have those three to come as well as Worpedo, Sicily, Cripps and Walsh

  30. SC_Donkey says:

Sunday bloody Sunday. Hope the SC Gods are still sleeping and Cripps to have a field day today.

    • Hawk131415 says:

I took Neales 140 Donkey, but still hope Crippa has a day out to get me to at least 2000,

      • SC_Donkey says:

Nice one, hoping Cripps will get around the same. Still contemplating on whether I should take Bonus 126 or punt it with Cripps(C)

With 3 players left Cripps, Burgess* (need to be watching 1st qtr, if he's not scoring well will need to put Wilke on field) and Parker hoping I'll hit the 2100 this week.

        • Hawk131415 says:

Yeah i had the vc on Neale and c on Cripps, so with some helping words from some boys i took the sensible route

          • SC_Donkey says:

140 VC ill take it any day of the week. I have set myself 135 from my VC this season. 126 from Bont just doesn't cut it specially this week.

  31. hedski says:

JOM is a late out for anyone with him.

  32. Russty_ says:

O'Meara officially out now for Hawks, Howe in.

  33. COREYSC says:

    Parker Or Setterfield today

    • Holty01 says:

Toss a coin but I’ve gone Parker as he has already had 2 scores better then any of Setterfield’s

  34. Pman says:

    Hi Community who should start on the ground out of the following Rookies for Sunday's games;

    Scrimshaw or Collins in Defence?

    Setterfield or Burgess in Attack?

Probably leaning towards Scrimshaw/Setterfield but having a hard time deciding, any thoughts appreciated…

  35. Hawk131415 says:

    Cripps looking ordinary

  36. SC_Donkey says:

Meh! Burgess. Wilke it is on field then. Cripps what's going mate.

    • SC_Donkey says:

Well!!! Cripps and Wilke are going ok. But Parker, hmmm don't do this to me. Get going in the second half bud.

      • Hawk131415 says:

Got injured Donkey, spent some time off the ground

        • SC_Donkey says:

Meh!!! Hate Sunday. Ah well hope Cripps and Wilke goes big to cover the lost points.

Setterfield and Burgess must be ready for culling this week

    • SC_Donkey says:

Wilke my saviour Crippa you Rippa and Parker hmmmmp!

  37. Hawk131415 says:

    GOTY Sexton

  38. JohnDJ59 says:

Looking at my score I feel like the byes came early this season.

  39. AuroraBorealis?! says:

I love not seeing setterfield for 10 minutes, and then the second i do see him on the ball, he gives away a free. Keep going son you legend

  40. ZzZCalintZzZ says:

Man Walsh is the 1 rookie I have missed in my team. Will hurt me in cash gen me thinks.

  41. Hawk131415 says:

    Parker injured

  42. dontblushbaby says:

Here comes the Cripps Train !

  43. Holty01 says:

Gee all the community who have been talking Marshall up, I wished I’d listened. First time I’ve seen him play and he looks pretty good.

  44. Was going to trade Parker and Constable for Rocky and Rotham hope the kids ok

  45. AuroraBorealis?! says:

Walsh down into the rooms with (hopefully) a corkie, hopefully it doesn't end his day

  46. AuroraBorealis?! says:

Setterfield has absolutely no composure, as soon as he gets the ball he jams it on his boot and has a clanger. So frustrating to watch

  47. TommyC99 says:

Looking like switching parker to setterfield just before the bounce was a great move 🙁

  48. Russty_ says:

Might be able to afford a 1986 Hyundai Excel with the profit from Burgess this week.

  49. Hawk131415 says:

hope people put Scrimshaw on the field, playing well today

  50. AuroraBorealis?! says:

Could Rowan Marshall politely settle the f*ck down? If he keeps going i've lots my cash league match up for sure

  51. ZzZCalintZzZ says:

Cripps getting 150 by the looks of it 💪🏻

  52. Russty_ says:

Good to see Parker back out there, if he could get to 50 I'd be happy.

  53. Russty_ says:

Sam Walsh totally worth 207k…what a gun kid, a superstar.

  54. Hawk131415 says:

Who the hell told me to take Neales 140?? not to have faith in Cripps ?? insert angry face

    • Russty_ says:

Won't be much diff in the end mate, if you'd rolled the dice on Cripps, he would've scored 73.

    • dontblushbaby says:

I was concerned at 1/4 time when he was on only 16 points , not sure but I think he had a 70 point last 1/4 , you beautiful bastard Crippsy xxx

      • Russty_ says:

All hail king Cripps!…a God among poxy Blues. 🙂

      • Dan says:

Yeah, I think he was on 52 points at half time. So, he must have had huge 3rd & 4th quarters.

    • SC_Donkey says:

140 is very safe. I won't complaining, never know with SC Gods mate.

      • Maverick_ says:

Yeah you can’t go beating yourself up for taking 140 that’s a worthy VC score everyday of the week mate

      • Hawk131415 says:

I had to Donkey, knew hed go big, but yeah the 140 was safe

    • NoLanguage96 says:

That coin flip turned out to a ripper Hawk… In Cripps we trust 🙂

    • Beezneez says:

Not much difference in combined scores. For me. Anything over 130 I take. Lucky you weren't like me and had Dangerfield as c and Oliver vc cos I was unable to loophole Grundy. Bloody tag went from Kelly to Danger.

  55. Holty01 says:

Wtf was McGovern doing? He just lost that game for us. Wasn’t even on a player. Just bloody ball watching. Wait in the goal square where you should of been.

    • Russty_ says:

Yeah there should've be 1 or 2 on the goal line..not sure why no one was there.
      Another tip down the gurgler.

      • Holty01 says:

He was There unfortunately. He just started wandering forward watching the ball. Like he was in a trance

        • ZzZCalintZzZ says:

No goal keeper at a stoppage that late in the last when in front by under a goal is criminal

  56. Pranav says:

    I hate paddy dow

  57. Carlton should have won imo Jones mark should have been paid Adelaide's pick looks good

  58. Holty01 says:

come on Parker. 20 point last quarter will do me.

  59. ZzZCalintZzZ says:

    🙏🏻 pretty please

    Wilkie 110
    Worpel 90
    Parker 50

  60. Michael says:

Got Wilkie on the bench but not too bothered. Good job security now and going to make good cash

  61. Russty_ says:

Man, pretty damn good game!…didn't think that'd happen!…GO SAINTS 🙂

  62. ZzZCalintZzZ says:

2 weeks in a row fwd rookies have been the bane of SC sides

    • Derek says:

But we all knew this. Many teams went with 4 premiums in forward line, this still meant 2 rookies. 2 too many

      • Sixtybloody6 says:

No. You were meant to go 4 premium backs like I said. Listen! The point differential is in backs favour again like I said. When will you learn?

  63. JohnDJ59 says:

Not having Scrimshaw on the field could cost me a game in The Rat Pack league, only a few points in it. 2125 each now.

    • hedski says:

      Think that's me JD, tie??!?

      • Russty_ says:

You got John by 1 point Hed..bad luck Johhny

      • JohnDJ59 says:

Yes that was us hedski, Scrimshaw was your last scorer which got us the draw, but now I see you won by a point after scaling, well done, you were ahead most of the weekend, it was only me having Cripps as C that gave me a chance.

  64. Best game of the year congrats to sainters and thanks Gator for the Marshall thumbs up

  65. ZzZCalintZzZ says:

2241 with scaling to come for Wilkie, Worpel, Parker 🤢

  66. COREYSC says:

2125 this week really tough weekend what’s the par score 2200? After the rookies scored well this arvo?

  67. TOPHAWK1 says:

Billings. Why did I start with you like last year? I am nuts? Or did I simply make the ultimate contrarian move? Cognitive dissonance out the window? Who cares. Billy boy is rewarding the faith. You little ripper!!

    • Russty_ says:

Bilbo has been pretty good this year so far mate 🙂

      • TOPHAWK1 says:

Very pleased mate. Last week I was going to trade him out for Neale via DPP (Setterfield). I forgot that Setters had already played and I could not move him forward to complete the trade!! Traded Dunkley out instead this week for Libba. Bloody lucky break. Mumford hey? Looking the goods mate! After last week's debacle, I have stopped the rot with my 2225. Picked up Libba and Whitfield, and Mummy the week prior. All trades have yielded instant results. I love it when you get on a roll like that. Hope I can keep it going for a bit longer. Keeping Fyfe was the smart thing to do. Hopefully he will be back to steel my midfield further next week. Cheers mate!

        • Russty_ says:

Yeah Hawk, some good trades there, Mummy's done better than probably expected, do you have any cover for him though?..can see him being rested.
Can't really call Billings…doing a Billings anymore lol, mabe doing a Dunkley now?…haha
I would've liked to have had Whitfield in there this week instead of Williams, don't know what to do with that yoyo.
Yeah hopefully keeping Fyfe is the right thing, I did too, don't wanna trade him in twice.
          Nice comeback bud.

          • TOPHAWK1 says:

No cover for Mumford mate……Hmmmmm, let me see if there is a rook on the bubble in the ruck. Fat chance……They are as rare as sharks teeth……..WTF!! Enter Reilly O' Brien. 136K and has a BE OF -89 and projected at 74. If he hits that he will jump a lazy 73K next week. Might seriously consider punting Bines for him. Got Balta as a replacement loophole patsy. He will get dropped this week. I did notice that Jacobs will be back in a week or two. But getting him in will generate serious cash and cover should Mummy be rested. Thanks for the tip off mate!

            • Swans2012 says:

              Z Clarke better?

            • SC_Donkey says:

              Interesting TH

Personally I would hold that trade for emergency in the ruck. I don't think they'll be resting Mummy anytime soon and Jacobs coming back in a week or two, O'briens JS will be slim you'll have him sitting on the bench. Let's say he made you enough cash, you'll be using another trade to bank the cash. That's 2 trade you've used in the Ruck department, if an injury occurs another trade will be needed . 3 trades is way too much for that position.
Just my take on that idea mate
Good luck and go with your instinct

  68. Russty_ says:

Looks like 2 draws in the Rat Pack?…Trigga and Blacksheep…Johndj and Hedski?….a few close ones there besides those too.

  69. Disco stu says:

Got two teams going. 2330 swapped scrimshaw for Hore. Thank god for Cripps.
    2170ish in team two. Lost
    How’s everyone travelling.

      • Hawk131415 says:

never use to be, think its called cheating, blokes got banned for that by memory?

      • Russty_ says:

Pretty sure even if it's 2 separate teams under 2 separate email addresses, it's still the same ISP number, which would mean if he won any prizes, he'd be disqualified.

        • Hawk131415 says:

          Well there you go

        • Saritz says:

Nah, if it’s legitimate then the same IP address won’t matter. But you’d want to make sure because they will check. For example, house mates sharing a computer will show the same IP, but they can prove they are two separate people. But in this case, it sounds like it’s one in the same person

  70. JEL says:

C on Cripps has saved this round, still only 2123, but it was looking a lot worse.

    • Russty_ says:

Nic Jel, about the same here, expected a lot worse..some of the rooks came through.

      • JEL says:

Yep, a mixed bag with the rooks as you'd expect.
I left about 80pts on the bench but it all looks easier with 20/20 hindsight!!

I guess as a whole they performed as expected.

    • NoLanguage96 says:

Same JEL – 2127 for me with Cripps as skipper. So many duds, mostly rookies!

  71. SC_Donkey says:

Thanks to Joyce being dropped gave me a good look at Burgess play 1st qtr. Wilke Saved me big time and Cripps(C) had a field day as I expected he would. Parker might be on the chopping block along with Setterfield and Burgess this week.

2246 points for this weekend carnage. Gotta be happy with that.

    • TOPHAWK1 says:

Good score mate!! I ended up with 2225. Will take that considering the amount of turds were littered all over the place this week.

      • SC_Donkey says:

        Thanks TH

        Nice score mate.
After getting sub 2100 in the first 2 rounds, few corrective trades. Getting the 2200 marks hopefully will continue to push up the rankings.

  72. AuroraBorealis?! says:

    Great score Fin! 2300+

    • Finnius says:

Thanks Borealis. Couple of PODs in Billing’s and Sicily and Cripps captain saved my week :))

  73. johnno2908 says:

Guy in one of my leagues scored 2405!

  74. BlueBaggerJosh says:

I dont give a sh*t not changing my midfield all year, Walshy at M8 carrying the blues and my supercoach team

  75. Doc_1 says:

Scraped to 2261, my best for the year.
Only 4th best in my league. Ouch!

  76. ZzZCalintZzZ says:

14/18 teams failed to make 80pts this round!

  77. Hawk131415 says:

SC open, rage trades anyone?, Balta be gone

    • Maverick_ says:

      treloar has ran his race

      • Hawk131415 says:

        Gone Mav? to who mate?

        • Hawk131415 says:

Cogs is just keeping his place in my side,

          • ZzZCalintZzZ says:

I don't understand trading Balta… it's just throwing a trade away. I hope he gets dropped so I can loop with the other suspect fwd rookies.

            • Patch says:

Well said mate. I won't be flicking him until there's someone raring to go on the bubble and no-one else is in a position to be traded down.

              • Hawk131415 says:

correct, theres no one there so he has to stay, just cant stand looking at his name

          • Tommy says:

What’s wrong with cogs? Isn’t he averaging over 100?

            • Hawk131415 says:

Av 103, notgood enough for me, needs to lift, hes on notice Tommy, im ruthless LOL

          • Donald Drumpf says:

Not happy with 3 out of 4 rounds in the hundies, mate?

            • Hawk131415 says:

2 were just the ton and a 150, + the 52, i expected more, hes still in but on notice

        • Maverick_ says:

unsure yet hawk neale or macrae look too pricey for me now i'll wait for a drop in price. might need too look at fyfe, bontempelli or rocky who present value and will fiinish top 10.

    • Sixtybloody6 says:

Wasn't balta gone week 1? 3 weeks behind bud. Good luck

      • Hawk131415 says:

Hes dropped coin and theres no one to bring in for him anyway Sixty

        • Booma says:

Balta out for O’brien Via Pines DPP (look at it as a corrective rookie trade).

    • TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

That is one I did get right.

      Balta – Rozee rd 3.

  78. Pman says:

Had 4 players score less than 40 and got to 2143 after I thought I'd struggle crack 2000. Am in 8 leagues and all were reasonable low scoring compared to last week. A lot of Dud Rookies this year and some like Balta will lose money this week and will need culling.

  79. TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

Has there ever been a better first year player than Walsh?

That's two tons in a row, 28 possies and already #2 midfielder in an ordinary team and it is only rd 4!

Wow. Just wow. He gun. Bang, bang.

Just on SC score alone he scored in the top 1-2 % of all midfielders this round.

Outscored danger, Kelly, clarry, Crouch, Treloar, Kelly, cogs, mccrae, the list goes on.

Gonna enjoy him hogging a spot in my team for years to come….

    • ZzZCalintZzZ says:

      Kelly last year

      • KSinny says:

        Kelly was mature age tho

      • TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

        Rephrase.

        18 year old first year.

Selwood probably but look at the premiership team he started in compared to Walsh.

        • Russty_ says:

He's pretty special Trig, as good as Joel Selwood was before he became Duckwood lol, worth every cent of the 207k

          • TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

And unlikely ever to get a tag with the extractor next to him.

            • Sharkmove_King says:

The extractor is almost untaggable. I wouldn't be surprised at all if someone tags Walsh…he runs very hard all game. Never seen an 18 year old like it

              • Meph says:

Wasn't Cripps fairly good in year 1 or has my memory failed me?

                • Russty_ says:

Cripps averaged 96 in his first proper year but Danger took more time to get going…I picked Danger a few years back in the day but he ended up being a spud sc-wise,took about 4 years to get going.
Cripps is a stud and has actually progressed a lot faster than Danger did.

    • Danners says:

Finally broken the pick 1 curse! Does look impressive though

  80. Willymack1234 says:

    Burgess to Rotham
Butters to Rocky, good trades or not?

    • Russty_ says:

Rotham only came in this week cause Jetta was out, js could be dodgy although he looks a good size and player.

      • Patch says:

Yeah I'm not sure on Rotham – job security not great in that West Coast lineup and the last thing we need are more dodgy rookies. I'll be passing at this stage

    • Danners says:

I agree with what the others have said about Rotham. Can't see Rocky being worth a trade unless you see him as a top 10 mid at the end

  81. Nozzy says:

Farkkk. Was ranked 542 now after a shocking round of 1999 dropped to 8000.

    Slowly losing the faith!

  82. TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

    Well that was shite.

Not a good round to have a GnR team.

No need to panic though scored 2400 last week so chalk that one down to a down week.

7 reasons might need to become 6.
Dunks has a change of role. I watched him.pretty close on the weekend played wing and fwd. Didn't attend a centre bounce till the last qtr.

So may have to look at upgrading. Bummer.

  83. Fearthebeard says:

    Sheed up to neale?

    Burgess up to whitefield ?

    Parker up to heeney?

    Which ones best to go!?

    • Patch says:

Burgess to Whitfield should leave you more cash gen and points, Featherbeard

      • Fearthebeard says:

        Thanks patch.

Anyone know the breakevens of Neale and whit?

        Also sheed?

  84. cash_cows says:

Oliver and Cogs are driving me mad.

To think I could have had Neale and Fyfe who once upon and time were in the team.

    • Patch says:

I'm not too mad on Oliver simply because he looked to be gunning for it and should emerge as a top six midfielder, but going Coniglio over Neale hurts a lot.

    • Beezneez says:

I have both but Oliver greatest concern. At least Cogs is tonning it. Oliver losing money and a trade to Neale or Macrae is on the cards. Oliver got enough of the ball after the first quarter but was hurried and butchered it. He was receiving plenty of attention at the centre bounces and this is likely to continue.

  85. SC_Donkey says:

Dammit! Burgess and Setterfield will survive this week for culling Butters and Parker will have to go.
Not sure if I should paint the fence this week or bank the cash for Rd6 who I was aiming on getting Lloyd then.
Love the look at that backline then Lloyd, Whitfield, Hurn, Stewart

  86. Andy says:

    Thoughts on Williams > Stewart?

  87. dontblushbaby says:

Take a Bex and have nice lie down mate, relax FFS

  88. Meph says:

I'm going to need the best jockreynolds SC minds on my team next week. Now ranked 7th overall (flying majakly is my team name) carrying Toby Greene and still 30 trades left. Will probably post my thinking on the podcast thread when the new one goes up gives me a few days to consider my options and see what you all think.

    • Sharkmove_King says:

Congrats Meph. My advice would be, by all means listen to what people say, but in the end go with your gut….It's what got you to where you are now.

    • Nozzy says:

If your 7th you obviously have a good idea what you're doing so just back your decisions.

    • TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

Mate you must have nailed every starting pick.

My advice is keep doing what you are doing you have had a great start and in great shape.

      Back your gut.

      Good luck.

    • Blueth says:

      7th WITH Greene?!
      How is that even possible?

      • Saritz says:

Have a look at the rankings. You can see everyone’s teams. It’s there showing he has Green. The common thread of those in the top 10 are the combo of, Boak, Rocky, Libba, Whitfield and Neale (and then the usuals in Grundy, Cripps, Llooooooyd etc).

    • Russty_ says:

Hi Meph, Greene is a good chance of being back this week so could give you a leg up even further, I punted him for Scrimshaw a few weeks ago.

  89. Will says:

Who has better JS out of rotham and lockart?

    • Russty_ says:

Pretty sure Rotham went into the lineup for the injured Duggan last week and in (late call up) for Jetta this week. So he's not first choice in the back 6.
Hore's effort this week could keep Lockhart out of the side.

  90. Russty_ says:

Nice little story, shame for you none of it's true.

    • ZzZCalintZzZ says:

Hey Russty tumble weeds have more presence

    • Sixtybloody6 says:

How's that ice cold storage room going with those daddy long legs keeping you company you degenerate fuk.

      • ZzZCalintZzZ says:

See… just ends up barking in the end. What a dirty mutt

      • Russty_ says:

Going great mate, the longest legged one is named Herman and the slightly smaller ones are named Eggbert and Elvis, what's your Team name so we can substantiate your claims of greatness?
If you don't answer truthfully I'll just assume you're lying about all of it…as usual.

        • ZzZCalintZzZ says:

Mutts just angry because he traded in Westhoff after round 1 instead of Boak then proceeded to trade out Heeney after round 2.

  91. Tommy says:

Should we be jumping on stack?

    • Russty_ says:

Cotchin and Martin have to come back in, reckon Ross looks more likely to keep his spot. Hard nut and gets heaps of the ball.

    • Westy says:

      Stacks on Tommy!

  92. RoyWetard says:

2310 boys!!!!!! Has launched me from 20.2k to 6.7k in the rankings. Trading LDU to Stack and Smith to Llooooooyd. Turns out I could've gotten him by trading Scott instead of Setterfield but didn't want to risk not being able to afford him. P.S. Damn I wish I had Neale.

    • Russty_ says:

Great stuff Roy!…keep it going mate, I'm gonna hang onto Smith for now, tonned up this week, not sure about Stack's js either, cheers bud.

  93. Macca says:

Rankings go from 229th to 233th?

    • Hawk131415 says:

yeah i just checked that too, Cool story Sixty, needs more Dragons and shit!

  94. Whitey says:

Thoughts on whether Mummy can keep a 90+ average. I took a risk with English at the start of the year which hasnt been a complete disaster I suppose because it got me Libba but is it a waste of a trade?

    Thanks in advance.

    • Russty_ says:

Hi Whitey, if you're stuck with English, I'd go to Mummy for sure, maybe also consider some cover at some point just in case.

    • Derek says:

Who is your R1. I assume Grundy

I think stick to plan A. Hold English a bit longer. He won’t be against Grundy every week. Has Carlton this week and a few other good matches coming up. You just need him to have that one good game.

Gawn coming down in price, get him at a low

Going to Mundy is only for cash and he won’t make enough to justify a trade

      • Russty_ says:

If plan A is holding onto the 300k English to get the $600k Gawn, I'm not sure how he'll find the money to do that Derek.
I really think he's better off getting Mumford now before he goes up 50 k next week.
At least Mummy can still score.

    • Swans2012 says:

I just did this trade, scores minimum 20-40 pts a week more and mummy will go up minimum 150 k over the next month or so. No brainer…..

  95. NoLanguage96 says:

Shit week. 2127 with Cripps as skipper. Turds from nearly all rooks except Scrimshaw…. Who we culling this week community?

    I'll start, Butters and Parker.

    • SamuraiPizzaCat says:

Yep at this point looking at Butters and Parker to Stack and Rotham. Generate $$.

    • Hawk131415 says:

Parker got injured, i wouldnt cull him just yet mate and he still has coin to make, Butters is a maybe, not going to make much more coin IF he drops more turds like his 23 this weekend

    • TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

I think parker is about done.

Have a look at the saints draw coming up. Might struggle to score against quality opposition.

  96. GloryDays94 says:

Do I have to trade Dunkley?
No idea what to do with my team after this week 🙁
1988 is just not good enough Tbh

    • Russty_ says:

You could hold, and hope he comes good, or maybe go to Marshall who will make about 40k next week. Big fella's doing pretty well.
Wish I could have afforded to bring him in last week…and maybe downgrade one of your spud rookies to a bottom pricer.

      • GloryDays94 says:

        Hey Russty
        Current Team is:

Laird, Hurn, Williams, Smith, Scrimshaw, Duursma (Clark, Burgess)

MacRae, Cripps, Treloar, Crouch, Steele, Walsh, Constable, Butters ( Atkins, Gibbons, Scott)

        Gawn, Goldy

Danger, Kelly, Dunkley, Moore, Drew, Setterfield (Parker, Petrucelle)

      • GloryDays94 says:

Really don't see Dunkley coming good… didn't get much Mid time at all on the weekend and FWD doesn't suit his game at all

        • Russty_ says:

Another option GD is biting the bullet and accepting some shitey scores so you can double downgrade some maxed rookies to make some serious cash…could do this 2 weeks in a row, make sure the rooks you get in are assured of a job.
If it's mainly leagues you play for this could be a good play, load up on the dollars and you can make some big moves in the next 3 to 4 weeks. ( plan for byes too as part of your plans.)

    • Holty01 says:

I traded him for Boak on the weekend. He is not getting the midfield time he was last year with Libba back and Bont now looking fit. But you probably shouldn’t listen to me as I traded Heeney for Kelly after round 2

      • Russty_ says:

I'd listen to you Holty, you're ranked just over 2000, problem is now Boak is 561k, not sure if he could afford him.

        • GloryDays94 says:

I can afford any FWD if I trade Butters to Stack
And will leave me with just over 50k in the bank

          • Russty_ says:

Boak's been going well mate but he's expensive now, maybe consider Marshall and Ross a week early….I think Ross has better JS than Stack, don't be too emotional about it all this week as Kelly made a lot of us suffer with our scores, he'll be ok though.
That'll be his lowest score for the year.
Ultimately, wait until teams are announced before you do anything.

            • GloryDays94 says:

I just don't think Marshall will keep going when Longer gets back… I can just go Dunkley to a Walters but that's it without another trade

              • Russty_ says:

Fair enough mate…As a Saints fan, I don't think Longer will get back into the senior side and will probably seek employment elsewhere.
Richo would be insane to replace Marshall with Longer now, he's the best ruckman we've had since McEvoy.

                • GloryDays94 says:

Hmmm not sure what to do… Dunkley will just lose more money… I either ditch him now for Walters, Daniel, Billings or Marshall. Or hold him and upgrade around him

      • GloryDays94 says:

Holt I traded Mundy to Kelly. Now Mundy has two 100s in a row…. haha

    • Swans2012 says:

I’m in same boat glory, I think the damage is just about done, I’m holding and upgrading around him in the hope of a turnaround or at least a spike in form…worst case he drops to around the 400k mark and we upgrade later, best case he turns it on and becomes a nice pod

      • Sam_01 says:

Mundy probably ripe for the picking with his shocker start, on the plus side dunk man is playing Carlton this week, I’ve been reluctantly holding him agree he needs to go but he isn’t scoring horrendously 82 average I’m just prioritising rookies to bring in for the next couple weeks

    • Beezneez says:

In the same boat. Nearly traded him for Kelly but stuck fat which turned out okay this week. Also have Oliver underperforming and losing cash fast. Dunkley to Boak would be an okay trade and Kelly should come good after being tagged. However probably leaving him for another week myself and looking elsewhere. It would be better to add a Boak or Kelly at f4 rather than wasting a trade on an f3 for another f3. He's certainly pushing the envelope though.

  97. Nozzy says:

Thoughts on booting Parker and Butters to Rocky and Hore (via Moore DPP)

    • DEE says:

I like it Nozzy…. As the season goes on Rockliff is more and more becoming a MUST have! For his output… He is still considerably cheap! CATTTSS PREMIERSSSS 2019!!!!

      • Sam_01 says:

Yeah like it nozzy I’m banking on rocky getting rolled by Hutchings this week tho but will look to get him in next week

      • Saritz says:

Rocky is not a must get this week. He still has that low score rolling through his averages. Will only go up about $20k. Best to let the cows fatten another week and assess the carnage after this round.

  98. DEE says:

Trade in Mundy, Boak or have I missed the boat on Marshall? Also…. don't hate me for suggesting this but I was also thinking Billings perhaps, thoughts community? I've got just over $340K in the kitty…. so I'm gonna have to cull one of my rookies, I was thinking Setterfield. Thoughts?

  99. TommyC99 says:

Thoughts on Crisp – Whtifield/Lloyd? Or is it too sideways? Feel like i need 1 of them

    • Brn says:

Its frustrating but wait until you can trade a non premium to afford them. That's the way to improve your team. Rookies are still increasing and the opportunity will come

    • Swans2012 says:

I’m worried about crisp, but I think you’ve got to hold

  100. Higinator says:

currently do not have in my side Whitfield, Neale, Grundy or Boak. Should I wait it out and buy them when the prices have gone down or bite the bullet and make some bullish moves to get them in ASAP considering I’ve got 30 trades in the bank

    • Sam_01 says:

Doubt you have the coin to bring them in so just gotta wait out, couple more weeks for rookies to appreciate
I’m targeting Whitfield over the next couple of rounds

  101. Brn says:

People who are trading/upgrading this week, where are you getting the money from?

I couldn't do a proper upgrade if i wanted. The rookies just aren't ready for culling

    • Sam_01 says:

Well you have Sydney stack to bring in, and Marty Hore aswell potentially so B.scott out or even butters aswell as potentially burgess and clark
I’ve gone double down atm flicking burgess and Scott to stack and hore depends on teams tho, burgess is a spud and will make minimal coin only selected him initially bc I knew he would get games

    • Certainly tough Brn. I am looking for fallen premos and though you are right it's too early to cull I am chasing Rocky..The only way to get Rocky now is to upgrade just can't ignore him anymore. so i have culled Butters a tad early and Drew. and got ROCKY The compromise is I have minimal funds so went to Lockhard. Though he wont make much my next trade will see him as a mid I see Rocky as a keeper and the only way to get him is to upgrade rookies ..I wouldn't downgrade a premo

      • Derek says:

there will be plenty of people who will be getting Neale, Cripps, Whitfield, Lloyd. Paying near $700k for a midfielder or $620+ for a defender.

there are a few premiums who are 'falling' that should be of interest to anyone cashed up in the next few weeks

Laird, Sicily, Simpson, Coniglio, Fyfe, Oliver, Yeo, Gray, Menagola, Gunston, Devon, Hoff, Buddy, Gawn,

        • UpBeat says:

Is Whitfield the new Doc? Might have to consider him now or pay heavily for him later.

          • Derek says:

i think we have already paid for not having him. I watched him on weekend, he is a running machine who just keeps finding space and the ball just keeps following him.

    • Derek says:

no upgrading this week, still too early. Need to wait for the fallen premiums to get cheaper.

If you have a rookie who is done with cash generation, jump on a new rookie and bank the cash.

      • Holty01 says:

Agree with Derek. Keep milking those cows for all their worth. There are a couple of rookies on the bubble this week of interest so if you currently have a rookie not making the grade, swap them.
I personally would love to correct my Heeney mistake and bring him back but I think making money is more important this early in the season.

    • Beezneez says:

It's a hard one. Stack is on the bubble as is Rotham from WC who scored 98 this week. If Ross from Richmond backs up he's on the bubble round 6. I want/need Lloyd and Neale/Macrae but may have to settle for Rockliff because he's too hard to ignore at his price. But who to cull. Like Derek says the rookies still have cash to make. Burgess (DPP is useful) Gibbons, Atkins, possibly Clark are all bench sitters and could be used. Even sacrificing Butters for Rocky is an option worth considering.

    • Nice_Person says:

You get an extra million if you get supercoach gold

  102. Tommo09 says:

What do we do with Balta, Setterfield, Parker, Petruccelle, Butters, Scott?
So many underperforming rookies. Stack to come in but who to trade and who else to come in?

    • TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

      My thoughts:

      Balta – meh. Next.
Setterfield not going too bad in a poor side. You only really expect 60 from rooks. Will play every week and has DPP. Slow burn.

Pet. Getting games. Slow burn on bench.
Butters. One bad game. Was going alright. Should be ok.

Parker. Really tough draw coming up. May struggle to post a good score. Expect 30-40 most weeks.

Scott. North getting some players back I.e Anderson may get as run in the twos next couple of weeks. Scott said played too many rooks early and Scott dropped this week.

    • SC_Donkey says:

      I have all those Rookies
Parker and Butters is just about ready for culling with BE of 46 and 48
The rest still have coins to make and if Scott doesn't get name again this week I'll just use him for loophole until he gets named or if there's a rookie that's on the bubble.

    • The Ranger says:

Gotta just hold those underperforming rookies I think Tommo. At least for another week or two.
I try not to trade them until they've made a minimum of 150K and over the years there's been plenty of times that I've gone early on a rookie and they've punted out a good score in the following week or two and I've missed out on the cash generation.

  103. FearTheBeard says:

Anyone able to tell me the breakevens of Neale, Whitefield, Heeney and Sheed?

I am either going Sheed to Neale. Clark to Whitfield or Parker to Heeney. No idea who 😐

    • Derek says:

      Neale 82BE, Whitfield 65BE, Heeney 45BE, Sheed 90BE

      • FearTheBeard says:

Ah crap. Thanks so much Derek.

With that said who would you go for?

        Sheed out for Neale?

        Clark out for Whitfield?

        Parker out for Heeney?

        • SC_Donkey says:

Can you do Parker for Whitfield?
If you have Burgess down back, you can trade Parker via Burgess.
I would wait on Heeney and see how he goes when McVeigh comes back.

        • Valens_FC says:

I think out of those definitely not Sheed for Neale, that can wait for another day. There's other good mids to mean that Neale doesn't hurt you as much. Heeney will still have his bad games, can probably afford to be patient and wait for right price.

Whitfield on the other hand is really going to bite as apart from Lloyd there's no one else in DEF to stop you getting hurt. He's a full price now but like Doc a few years back you could be waiting around a long time for the sub-600k price.

          • FearTheBeard says:

            Just looked at it all.

Kind of confused myself now, no wonder I wanted opinions LOL.

Sheed out is the only way I can make Neale/Whitfield work now (it leaves me 150kin the bank to make a move next week too).

It is tricky though. I mean I even thought about a double downgrade and taking Rotham and it will leave me with over 400k. Though issue is not taking Neale/Whitfield now will also see them go up another 30k+ no doubt this week + Rotham JS is shaky as isn't it?

If I take Whitfield I move Duursma down to mids for a week on field and then next week move him back up and welcome Ross for some more cash when I sell clark/burgess.

Which will leave me 300k in the bank to move on Neale down the track for Constable.

If I go Neale now for Sheed it leaves me chasing Whitfield with 75k in the bank and only way to move on Ross next week is either sell Scott Atkins or Costanable.

With that said it makes me think it's smarter to get Whifield now and sell Clark to fit Ross next week? Thoughts???

            • SC_Donkey says:

As much as I want to get rid of Dunkley and bring in Lloyd. Then my Fwd will exposed will need to field an extra rookie, we have bugger all rookies in all positions that can produce/score well this year. I'm just waiting for the right moment, save some cash and do a double upgrade(includes Dunkley) by Rd6 or Rd7 just gonna have to take it in the chin and accept Dunkleys 70-80SC point for a week or two.

  104. NoLanguage96 says:

    Butters > Stack
    Butters > Hore

Or is Parker a better chop?

  105. SC_Donkey says:

I'll be watching Neale real close this weekend he's up against the Pies. If he can shake the tag, I'll be moving heaven and earth to bring him in.

    • Derek says:

      what if he doesn't?

      • SC_Donkey says:

Will be a worry if can't handle a tag. We saw what happened to Sloane other coaches followed.

        • Derek says:

Tags are working this year. even Dangerfield. Coaches will do it. Stuff Supercoach.

          • SC_Donkey says:

I was gonna bring in Neale for Dusty last week had the cash for him or Lloyd. l opted not to take Lloyd cause I would be one premo short in the gut. So I ended up with Bont who I've been watching all preseason and the past 3 games. Neale is killing me with his massive scores, I really need to see him being tag. He hasn't experienced of what it's like being tagged, he's been playing under shadow of Fyfe, Walter and Mundy.
I feel he'll be Sloane2.0 once the tag starts.

            • Derek says:

The Bont is about to go huge

            • Sixtybloody6 says:

That is the dumbest comment I've read. Shadow of mundy and Walters? Are you serious? Few years ago he got most disposals record until titch broke it. He is a star and will continue to rack them up. Tagging Neale won't sway the result ….look at bombers game on the weekend.

But Jesus give the kid credit, he's owned it for years, yes behind fyfe shadow no doubt. Zorko will still cop the tag. I'm sorry you didn't start or haven't traded Neale in yet. Silly really.

            • Russty_ says:

I traded Brayshaw out last week to get Neale in..Brayshaw 89, Neale 140, I wouldn't be worrying if he might get tagged, just get him in cause he's bloody good.
You might be overthinking it a bit mate.

              • SC_Donkey says:

Maybe I am over thinking it, maybe not. I still need to see him play with a tagger breathing on his back. When he was at Freo he roam free while Fyfe, Mundy and Walters getting the tag.

Now at Brissy he's the main man apart from Zorko. So tag will surely be on him or Zorko. Have the cash to get him at anytime, just not confident at the moment.

                • Nice_Person says:

                  What the hell donkey

                  He's averaging 140
He copped the tag whenever fyfe was injured or suspended

    • Valens_FC says:

      That's assuming Greenwood plays!

This is the same coach who said "meh, TMitch might have got 50 touches but they didn't have any impact"

      • SC_Donkey says:

Agree if Greenwood plays and i think Bucks will use Greenwood if he plays.
I think Bucks learnt his lessons from that comment.

        • Shake_n_bake says:

Wont be tagged, Greenwood wont come back in. Beams yes. We will watch him closely at stoppages but will back our own mids to go head to head.

  106. JohnDJ59 says:

What would the JS of O'Brien be like, thinking of putting him in at R2, for up to four weeks, then get Grundy, or would Mumford be a safer bet.

    • SC_Donkey says:

Who's your R1 and R2 at the moment John?
Personally I would wait until you can afford Grundy only be using 1 trade.
As oppose to getting Mummy or O'brien you'll be using 2 trades maybe even 3 incase of an injury occurs.

      • JohnDJ59 says:

Gawn and Lycett, both are scoring how I expected, but I need some cash injection and O'Brien looks like he could make some cash over the next four weeks and that was when I was hoping to get Grundy in.

        • SC_Donkey says:

As Derek said Mummy would be a better a option JS and scoring wise also has some cash to make, you can always swing Lycett to fwd as your back up assuming Bines is R3.
Mummy may be a keeper if he stays out of trouble and keeps scoring well like he has been.

          • JohnDJ59 says:

Hi Donkey, I've cooled on the idea now, will just leave them as is and look at bringing in Stack in the mids. If I did do it, I'd bring in Mumford and swing Lycett fwd like you said, but Lycett looks a bit strange sitting in the fwd line, so will have to think on it.

    • Derek says:

Mummy is a much better option than O'Brien

      • JohnDJ59 says:

I'm thinking of going with Butters/Scott to Stack and Parker to Mumford, swinging Lycett fwd.

    • Twilightingale says:

Non existent, when Sauce is back, I’ll be shocked if they play together

    • Beezneez says:

O'Brien will make way for Sauce which is likely to be this week – rnd 6 at the latest.

    • Swans2012 says:

Did I miss the memo, is Clarke not an option for some reason? The bombers are winning, I reckon he looks reasonably secure….I’m bringing Mumford in for English and Clarke in for bruce (don’t ask) via loophole swing. I reckon he holds his spot and provides cover up to and including byes

      • JohnDJ59 says:

I can't really use Clarke since I have Bines at R3 for my VC loophole, I will be bringing in Mumford and swing Lycett fwd.

  107. FearTheBeard says:

Ok so after playing round would love a few opinions!

    Neale & Rotham in

    OR

    Whitfield & Stack?

    • Derek says:

they are very expensive, who are you getting rid of?

      • FearTheBeard says:

        Hey Derek,

        Thanks again for your thoughts!

I just posted this as I've confused myself a touch lol.

Thoughts???

Other option is I rid myself of Parker and add Heeney or Boak (though Boaks run has been a soft one and facing WCE now and a few tough games to come may see his B/E finally become an issue and bleed some cash down the track) though would also immediately make me stronger replacing Parker/Setterfield.

        • Derek says:

Sheed to an Uber is a smart move. Whitfield might be the better option because he is cheaper and it leaves a nice war chest to go again.

  108. GloryDays94 says:

    Trade Options for this week:

Butters to Stack- Dunkley to any FWD and still have 50k
Butters to Stack and Hold Dunkley bank the 140 k

  109. Ktfg says:

Is it time to downgrade sheed or hold ?

  110. Mr_Pink_ says:

Do people think Zac Clarke is going to keep getting games…? Justin West-'hoff' is a stain in my side/underpants and I only ever really wanted him as ruck cover in the forward line. With Justin (he is no longer posting scores worthy of having a nickname) doing this poorly is Clarke a viable alternative…?

    • Goat____23 says:

He might be the one to make way for Daniher this week, Pink.

    • Swans2012 says:

I reckon he’s pretty safe for now, I can’t see them throwing Daniher straight in the 2nd ruck role, plus they’ve been winning…..I reckon I’ll throw him at r3 for as long as he’s getting games……

      • Mr_Pink_ says:

Good point Swans… had a rethink and reckon I just trade a Ruck-Fwd in if either Gawn or Grundy miss for 1-2 weeks. Hopefully they stay out there… must get rid of Justin. PS. Swans were awesome 2012 – my Eagles win last year and the Swans-Hawks were two of the great modern day grand finals…

  111. Will says:

Is Williams to Whitfield a bad trade?

  112. Nozzy says:

Thoughts on trading out Parker and Butters for Stack and Worpedo?

  113. Murray says:

is something wrong with Tim Kelly? only 39pts. Is he injured?

  114. Murray says:

trading Dunkley to Whitfield via DPP
    and Butters to Rotham

    good move?

    • The Ranger says:

Butters has only gone up by 84K, I'd say you need your rookies to make an absolute minimum of 100K with 150K being preferred.so he still has money to make.
It brings us on to the annual "what's a trade worth" discussion…

  115. ROB14 says:

Bring in Heeney or Whitfield? Would have to trade Williams though?

    • JohnDJ59 says:

Whitfield for mine, but you can't go wrong with either, one positive for going with Heeney is the back rookies are better.

      • ROB14 says:

I like your thinking, not sure what forward rookies to bring in!?

        • JohnDJ59 says:

None on the bubble that I know of.

          • Hawk131415 says:

            Rotham is John,

            • Russty_ says:

              Rotham's a defender mate.

            • JohnDJ59 says:

As Russty said, Rotham is a defender, Rob was asking about fwds, plus his JS might not be that great anyway. If I was getting in a defender it would be Hore, but I think most of us already have him.

              • ROB14 says:

Forward rookies are turd so far this season! I want Whitfield before he is impossible to get in, but would have to go early on Scrimshaw or Collins!
                Thoughts?

                • JohnDJ59 says:

Whitfield is just about a must have, but I don't think you can be trading out Scrimshaw or Collins to get him.

    • Russty_ says:

wouldn't have a problem trading Williams out this week if it was for Whitfield or Heeney…Setterfield rubbed out for 2 weeks so consider that.

      • FearTheBeard says:

        I'm confused now too!

I was weighing up Whitfield, Neale or Heeney.

Now I'm leaning towards Heeney purely on the fact Setterfield is out means either start Parker or Petuclle instead of Clark in D?

        :||||||||||||||

      • Peter says:

Hi Guys thinking of trading setterfield to hore and upgrading Williams to Heeney will have $110k left o.k move?

        • Russty_ says:

Do it Pete…Need Heeney in there, Williams is still playing like a midpricer.

  116. SC_Donkey says:

Josh Dunkley what should I do with you. Many SC Coaches has had enough with you, and so do I. Why but why I can't seem to press that trade button on your name. Midfield time is surely in everyone's mind, you're just not getting enough, I know last year you started with the same role as this season and it's not a role we SC Coaches want you in, it's just not SC friendly for you and us.
So what do I do? Do I hold you and wait for Bevo to unleash you in the guts again, like he did last year after the bye rounds.
I was so quick to press the trade button on Simmo and Dusty, but FFS why I can't do it on you. Why! O' Why!

    • JohnDJ59 says:

I'm the same Donkey, I was going to trade him out last week, but wanted to trade Simmo for Whitfield while I could, then after his 73 I thought that's it he's going this week, but he's already lost nearly 50k and if he can at least start getting 80+ scores, that will do for now.

  117. Sixtybloody6 says:

Well done to the couple from JR group ahead of me. Great start, keep witts about you!

    • Russty_ says:

Thought you were ranked 231…you bragged about that last night…actually 1497?..RAGE Trader..is that you Kyle?

  118. GloryDays94 says:

So I am thinking about two trade options:

Butters to Stack- Dunkley to Heeney- 84k left

Hold Dunkley- Butters to Stack- Setterfield to Hore via DPP Burgess- 224k left to upgrade in next 2 weeks

Only downside is Parker, Burgess or Petruccelle have to be on field at F6

  119. FearTheBeard says:

Anyone who can spare 2 seconds greatly appreciated ,been doing my head on this weeks moves.

Ok so after playing round would love a few opinions would really love some peoples thoughts.

Neale IN : with Clark as my D6 and Parker/Petrucelle as my F6 leaving Constable as my M8

Whitfield IN : with Hore as my D6 and Parker/Petrucelle as my F6 leaving Duursma as my M8

Heeney/Boak (which 1 if this IN) with Hore as my D6, and Drew as my F6 leaving Butters/Atkins/Stack/Scott as my M8 for the week?

    • JohnDJ59 says:

      Whitfield.

      • FearTheBeard says:

        Thanks John.

        Anyone else got a comment?

        • JohnDJ59 says:

The four players you have named there are all good trade ins, it was the other part that caught my attention, I liked the idea of either Constable or Duursma as your M8 and I preferred Hore over Clark as your D6, which is why I picked Whitfield .

    • ROB14 says:

I'd go Whitfield if you can afford him

      • FearTheBeard says:

        Thanks John & Rob.

I have done Whitfield now as it allows me to jump on another rookie next week and cull Clark who is my D7 for bank!

The only tempting thing now is potentially going for Heeney/Boak and playing Clark as D6 instead of having to play Parker/Petcuelle as F6 😐

        • ROB14 says:

I see your point, defencive rookies have been scoring a lot better then the forwards, I'm bringing in a forward this week now that setterfield is missing a few weeks… Just praying that Whitfield gets tagged and drops in price! Time will tell

          • FearTheBeard says:

With that said would you go Heeney or Boak and play Clark or Whitfield and play Parker/Petcuelle?

            • ROB14 says:

Who are you trading out to get Whitfield?

              • FearTheBeard says:

No matter if it's Neale, Whitifield or Heeney/Boak this week Sheed & Butters will go. Leaves me 150k if I go Whitfield more if it's Heeney/Boak. Less if it's Neale.

Just with Neale my weakest Mid is Constable, weakest D is Clark and weakest F is Parker/Petrucelle.

Whitfield IN my weakest Mid is Duurmsa, Hore weakest D and Parker/Petrucelle as my F6

Heeney/Boak (which 1 if this IN) leaves Butters/Stack/Scott/Atkins as weakest Mid, Hore weakest D , and Drew as my F6

  120. SC8944 says:

Got $83,900 in the chest. Thinking of trading out Oliver and jay Clark for rockliff and Libba? Thoughts please?

  121. Ando says:

What's Rotham's JS like? Would Burgess to Rotham be worth a trade? I really only started with Burgess because I knew he'd get games and the swing set with Darcy Moore.

  122. Mint says:

DEF: Lloyd, Williams, Smith, Rozee, Duursma, clark ( Hore, Burgess)
MID: Cripps, Neale, Macrae, B.crouch, Libba, Rockliff, Walsh, Constable ( Atkins, Scott, Gibbons)
    RUCK: Gawn, Grundy ( Bines)
FWD: DangerField, Heeney, Dunkley, Moore, Drew, SetterField ( Petruccelle, Parker)
Got $177,000 k In the bank
Any help Would be appreciated. 🙂

  123. ROB14 says:

I like Boak… Playing as a mid not forward, Ebert has moved to forward line and made room for Boak
