PODCAST | Heeney Meeney Tiny (Pre)mo

It’s Fix-It Week! Round three – the week before price changes, of rookies jumping and premiums dropping. Using the fabled Patchlov’s Hierarchy of Needs, Damo, Lek and Patch discuss what needs to be done this week – namely: GET YOUR ROOKIES RIGHT.

However, we’ve left which rookies are right and which are wrong to the genius of Statty Matty’s cheat sheet this week, so keep your eyes peeled for that bad boy.

If you’ve got them right, which you would have because you’re all brilliant at Supercoach, then you can think about trading premiums. But which premiums? Heeney, Dunkley, Mundy, Dusty, a sleeveless Kade Simpson – who’s worth chopping? And on the flipside, who’s worth brining in?

Tom Rockliff has lit the Supercoach world on fire for 2019, while Darcy Moore, Tom Liberatore, Dom Sheed and several other mid-pricers have all been more than serviceable. The trio discuss whether to flick an underperforming premo for a speculative pick.

Lekdog also shouts about Daniel Rich.

So, community – strap on the headphones, settle down with a nice cuppa and some chocolate and tune in before letting us know what your moves are! Who are you flicking, and who are you trading in?

  1. ojs says:

dusty to rockliff and balta to moore? or
    de goey to t.kelly

  2. Patch says:

Keen listeners will note we skipped over discussion of Billings in this pod, namely because we forgot. I don't know what to do with him – his numbers have been nearly exactly what I was hoping for, but he's thrown up two 80s from 25+ touches. What gives? Pls gib points, Jack.

    • Russty_ says:

Don't reckon someone scoring 80's for you each week will hurt your team too much Patchy Mc-Patchface.
He's in StKilda, so that means all their D/E is crappily.
Alternatively, you could go to Dahlhaus, Daniel or Worpinator 3000 as a sidewaysy.

      • Patch says:

I've got the cash to go up so I'd rather do that, Russty, but I'm just annoyed that he can't get his DE up. He's playing the perfect role but just isn't scoring and it's frustrating

  3. Simon says:

Heeney and Setterfield to rocky and McCarthy. Is it worth doing

    • Russty_ says:

McCarthy has spent most of is adult Footy life on the injury list.

    • Patch says:

Probably not. As we mentioned, bringing mid-pricers in is not ideal considering you need to use a trade bringing them in and another trade removing them. I'd pass on those trades.

    • Lazza says:

Why would you dump Setterfield? His score was low because he was given a tagging role in the 2nd half on Rockliff.. he was scoring ok up to that point … he kept Rockliff to 26 pts in the 2nd half..
I’d be questioning how is Rockliff gonna go with Wines back this week and a likely tag from the get go this week and next week and the week after that..

  4. What_Bear says:

Hi Community, its good to be back posting.

I have Heeney and Robinson slightly underperforming in my forward line. I liked Robinson as i thought his mongrel around the contest would be needed by the Lions, alas the lions are now good at football, and dont need him bashing people.

Luckly i have nailed the rookies though. Options i am considering are

    1. Heeney & Robinson out – Kelly and Whitfield in (via DPP) (projected to bring in 80 extra ponts)
2 .One of them out and either one in
    3. Nothing, Let the rookies fatten up and get them both later

    Any advice would be appriciated

  5. Ken says:

Geez lekdog…Daniel rich looks the goods so far

  6. JohnDJ59 says:

I'm trading out Simmo and Mills for LLoyd and Rozee. I decided to give Heeney another chance, if he doesn't ton up against the Blues I might give him the chop next week, apart from that I am happy with where my team is at the moment. I have all the best performing rookies now, so I just have to wait 4 – 5 weeks for them to make a lot of cash before I start trading them out.

    • Nice_Person says:

Not worried about henneys cash loss? If you're thinking that much about trading him I'd do it this week

      • Rocksta_ says:

        Agreed.
If you are saying you will flick him next week in the case of a sub par score, best to trade him this week before he loses cash. His BE is 155, so say he gets an 80, he’ll drop around $33K in price.

        • Derek says:

It depends who you trade to. If your target player is also going to drop in value, waiting a week will only cost you the net difference.

        • JohnDJ59 says:

If I had three trades I would be Rocksta, but out of the three I thought Heeney was the most likely to end in the top six of their lines, if he looks like he is getting over his ankle injury, I will hang on to him, but another score under 85 next week will see him traded out.

      • JohnDJ59 says:

Hi N_P, no I'm not worried about the cash loss, since it was out of Simmo and Heeney, so I would be losing cash either way. I kept Heeney for now since I thought he had the best chance to turn it around.

      • Rick Grimes says:

Heeney will be top 6 forward, so his price drop is irrelevant.

  7. MidPrice says:

Midfield rookie issues! I have missed Constable. My midfield rookies are Walsh, Scott, Butters, Atkins and Gibbons. Is it worth the trade to get Constable in or has that ship sailed.

The logic says all my rookies will continue to make money… just not as fast as Constable… so don't waste the trade… but if Constable keeps scoring the way he is….

    • The Ranger says:

I missed him too MP and I think we have to get him.
Check out Footywire for future price predictions, I think he's worth it.
I'll wait for the teams to drop but at the moment I'm ditching Scott.
Atkins or Gibbons could go too, not much in it.

      • NoLanguage96 says:

I wouldn't be ditching Scott. He had gastro before the game on Sunday and is a better prospect than Atkins or Gibbons IMO

        • The Ranger says:

My reasoning was that Gibbons has done ok without actually kicking goals, if he can snag a few his price will jump quickly.
And Atkins is 23yrs old where as Scott is 18, not many 18yr olds come straight in and play a lot of games in a row, they often get dropped or get injured.
Not much in it admittedly and time may prove me wrong but I'm going Scott – Constable.

      • TheScacman says:

Constable is looking like this year's version of Tim Kelly. Going to make you money very fast, and could only be a 100K upgrade to a premium in 6-8 weeks, or hold him till his bye and then trade to an uber premium

    • Bells says:

Ditch a failing premo rather than a rook?

    • Patch says:

I reckon Constable is one to have… I'd be tempted to go Walsh down to him? Maybe? It's a tough one. Otherwise probably flick Gibbons

  8. Adam says:

    Here We go 1st Trades
Please pick the two numbers u feel I should do.
    1. Mundy. To Kelly
    2. Heeney keep
    3. Heeney to Boak
    4. Heeney to Worpel

  9. Nice_Person says:

I didn't realise libba is only 26. Looked very good on the weekend, always around the ball and was tackling hard. Who knows, he could be staying in my team for longer than I had planned

    • Holty01 says:

He a good player. Like Rocky, question over the durability. Well done for starting him but wouldn’t recommend trading him in if you didn’t.

    • Hawk131415 says:

If he stays on the park and scores 90+ , for sure

    • Lekdog says:

One of those guys that feels like he's been around forever

    • Rick Grimes says:

Been 5 years since he played a full season. Be ready to move any time as he's made of glass.

      • Patch says:

Concur. He's only in calculation due to cheap price, which ironically is because of injuries. Swings and roundabouts.

  10. Beno says:

    Mills to Rich?

    • Lekdog says:

YES…if you have no other issues

      • Beno says:

Only other issue, is I have green on the bench now, and heeney is giving me the shits. Played with trading him to lycett.. Which leaves me 100k in the bank, or green to someone..

  11. Matty says:

    Looking at
    1. swapping Heeney to the midfield trading him to Davies-Uniacke
    2. Trading balta to either lycett/westhoff to utilise the ruck/FWD role with B.williams… or just getting a solid fwd like kelly/dalehouse

    Thoughts?

  12. Hawk131415 says:

A few f bombs dropped yet again, and im kool with that, but dont delete my posts if i do!!!

  13. Stretch Marks says:

Was originally thinking no trades, I've got nearly all the rookie selections.
    Now I'm considering 2 correctives:
1 Merrett to Sloane or M Crouch
    2 Heeney to Kelly

    Thoughts?

  14. Luke P says:

Swapping Heeney to Worpedo and balta to grian myers.
Then have 155k left for an upgrade next week.

    Thoughts

    • Lekdog says:

      Hold Heeney

      • Spifflicator says:

I disagree Lek, I had a look at Heeneys score for the 2018 season, and he just fell in a hole after the bye, in fact he finished the season valued at $440k! So far, this season appears to be more of the same, so I am moving on the bludger NOW, as it was a 'starry eyed wonder pick' I should have known better than to do.

        • Matty says:

I can't see him swinging back and making me 100-120s for a few weeks. Thinking davies-uniacke will make the same score and bank me a heap of coin. He's pretty much the only rookie I'm after
More looking at who to swap balta for.. leaning towards a FWD/ruck like westhoff in case gawn/Grundy go down for a week or 2

          • Spifflicator says:

I too have Balta, but I reckon he comes in this week with Reiwoldt down. Given how bad they were at the back and the fact he played as back in the Two's and played well, I suspect he comes in and scores well. I'm keeping IF named.

Lycett smells like a trap, 69 and 167 with a swag of goals means he's way more likely to average closer to the former. AVOID

        • Hawk131415 says:

Agreed,Heeney out, he's going to bleed cash and you can pick him up later much cheaper if he starts to come good

        • Moustachio says:

          He got injured last year

        • Noirlust says:

Good move. I think Heaney is did. Oh wait. He scored 130 odd

      • Dermin8r says:

I was going to trade Heeney to Worpel so I could upgrade Goldy to Grundy, but Lekdog, you talked me out of it..so I sacrificed Dunkley instead to Worpel so I could upgrade Goldy to Grundy…did I do right, Lekdog? Or shouuld I reverse them and hold off until my rookies make me enough $$ to upgrade Goldy to Grundy? (I'm in league only)

    • Spifflicator says:

If Balta gets named then I would hold on that trade. Given he can play fwd and back for the Tigers I suspect that he will play and score around 60 odd which is pretty much the same as Miers.

    • comonyouspurs says:

      Agree with Spiff.
I reckon Balta plays this week and will get an extended run at it. He will make cash.

      • PizzaSafety says:

No point to these trades, a downgrade and a sideways rookie trade. More reasonable if you’re upgrading to a D Moore but only then if Heeney is out this week

  15. Tbag86 says:

The only upgrade option I have to get Rocky in is:

    Walsh -> Rockliff

No midfield premo’s that need downgrading…

    Thoughts?

(Logic: At $207k, I would’ve hoped for a bit more from Walsh.. getting the same output from Constable at 90k cheaper)

    • Lekdog says:

Tough one, if you've got the cash I'd consider it…if Rocky keeps scoring well he'll make the same cash as Walsh…of course your using a trade which is probably worth about 150k+…so you're trading for points. Is Rocky going to be a keeper?

      • Tbag86 says:

I'd see Rocky as more of a keeper than Walsh at this point… at absolute worst, Rocky could always be considered as an M9 post byes if he decides to not pig it up and lacks consistency…

        My options were:
        1. Trade out: Heeney and Atkins
Trade in: Rocky and Darcy Moore (fwd)
        Hold Toby Greene

        or

        2. Trade out: Toby Greene and Walsh
Trade in: Rocky and Miers (already have Parker & Drew)
        Hold: Heeney

I've got arthritis in my finger already from hitting the reverse trade button, but thinking I'll hold Heeney…
        Yes = underperforming
        Yes = injury cloud
Top 6 Fwd at end of season? = Probably.

Once Sydney start getting wins on the board (and it's only a matter of time), Heeney will come good and be part of that.

        • Derek says:

Rocky a keeper? that means you think he is top 8 (maybe top 10) midfielders? big call.

i would hold. Walsh price will go up same rate as Rocky. Get to see Rocky for a couple more weeks, maybe get the Hutchings tag round 5?.

In a couple of weeks, he will be same price as MCrouch, Bont, Sloane, Dusty, Merrett, players who are more likely to be Top 8 players and you will have for info on them all.

don't need to worry about possible M9 players this early, get 'em as keepers at a good price.

    • Derek says:

find someone else to trade out.

Walsh is predicted to increase $48k this week and $39k the next week.

Rocky predicted to increase $51k this week and $24k the following week.

      • Tbag86 says:

If only it was that easy Derek…

Apart from option 1 (above), there are no other rookies I can use to get me across the line to get Rocky.

Even Butters would leave me a couple of grand short.

        • Derek says:

what i'm saying, it won't matter mush cash ways if you do the trade this week, next week or the week after. The nett difference will stay the same. Gives you a week or two to think about Rocky, especially if Wines come back this week or next.

      • Locked and Loaded says:

Derek what suggests rocky will not be a keeper? His hard tag I’m not worried about as I don’t think many teams view him as the most damaging and plus he can now prepare for a tag and not cop one halfway through a game not expecting it? I think he can definitely be a keeper

    • Lazza says:

I’d be watching Rockliff for a little longer .. Setterfielf shut him down in the 2nd half on the weekend.. he only scored 26 pts after half time.. it got Carlton back in the game .. if you think other coaches will ignore that .. then proceed..

      • Derek says:

I was wondering what happened. He didn’t look like touching it in the 4th quarter

        Tag is back

      • Boris_Baconbeer says:

I don't think it helped Carlton, they were level before the tag. I think it's a silly idea to tag in heavy rain also. heavy rain is a great leveller need bodies fighting for the ball in heavy rain. It could have been that rain too that slowed Rocky. IMO sorry to disagree hope you wont hate me :D.

        • Lazza says:

We love you BB.. your point of view is valid.. though need to point out that Carlton was 3 goals down at half in a low scoring game and clearly won the 3rd quarter 4 goals to 1 .. in the rain as you point out…

          • Boris_Baconbeer says:

Were they? God I watched the whole game, my memory must be shot (I am getting old I suppose and was being interrupted by the old girl a bit), I thought they were level at the half. I should look it up but looking up Carlton stats goes against the grain as a Bombers fan and I trust you. Anyway I still think it's a waste of time tagging in rain because of the reasons I mentioned earlier, although less so now after you cruelly shooting me down lol ;P

  16. MikeYp says:

What’s everyone’s thoughts on yo-yo. Trade or not to trade? He’s had clanger of a week (10) and last week too (8) which affected his score.

  17. Rowan says:

Having done 2 trades today with rookies that price will not be bumping, swapping Balta for myers and Hore for Wilkie.
But still having 2 rookies watson and fort which are both donuts, next week do i have to make sure to swap them for players that are going to have their price going up even more even though they are rookies?

  18. Jack says:

If hore doesn't get a game im thinking

    Heeney to Worpel
    &
    Hore to Moore

    Thoughts?

  19. Shane says:

There hasn't been much discussion around Rozee – is he worth bringing in if I have all the main rookie backs (Clark, Scrimshaw, Duursma) with Joyce and Hore on the bench?

    • Derek says:

not really. Looks a nice player, but the extra price doesn't justify getting him now.

Even as a downgrade, i can't see him being worth the trade.

    • Patch says:

Will be touched on by Statty Matty this week, Shano. Keep your eyes peeled

  20. Derek says:

Tim Kelly in 16% of teams. that seems low to me

    • JohnDJ59 says:

He won't be going up in a hurry so we can afford to wait and get him as a upgrade. Most would have gone with Danger, Heeney, Dunkley as their first three in the fwd line, with Kelly as the next option if you didn't want either Heeney or Dunkley.

    • UpBeat says:

Cats bye round with Danger most likely reason

  21. Ryan says:

    ELLIOT YEO

When I spend 580k on a midfielder I expect more then a 76 average from him and with a BE of 189 do I get rid of him or what ?

    • Derek says:

unless they are injured, Hold your premiums. don't worry about the cash loss.

I know there there is the need to rage trade, but that is what the Reverse Trade button is for.

It is frustrating watching Fyfe, Neale, LLoyd, Whitfield, Sloane, Bont, and many others who we had at some point in our preseason teams killing it. but as Crouching says, chase points you will get exhausted.

Just look at Oliver. 71 first week, 141 second week. Grundy 81 then 137.

    • Lazza says:

I am trading Yeo to Fyfe this week… Sheed is has the same role and Gaff is back this week.. . if Yeo starts to perform then I can always bring him back after the bye.. but I doubt he will be Top 8 this year.. move him on now before he loses value.. holding dud premos is not wise .. once a premo not always a premo

    • Pommie says:

Hi, I would be tempted to trade Yeo as I think there are better options in midfield (I don’t think Yeo will be a top 10 mid this year). I don’t know your team but I would consider a switch to any of Bontempelli, Pendlebury, J Selwood around the same price or (if you have any cash) Neale, Fife or Treloar. Good luck

  22. Derek says:

    i know it is only 2 weeks into the season, but one thing stands out to me already;

The more things change, the more they stay the same (i think that is a wise old saying)

Looking at who is on top of the averages, even after only two rounds:

    Defenders: Lloyd

    Midfielders: Fyfe

    Rucks: Grundy

    Forwards: Dangerfield

    • JohnDJ59 says:

      Rucks: Lycett. 118, Grundy 109.

      • Derek says:

I don't think anyone will have Lycett as a Ruck come year end. I am classifying him as a forward.

        • JohnDJ59 says:

Just having a bit of fun with you Derek, that is what I am planning for come round seven or so.Grundy into the ruck, Lycett to the fwd line. I'm trading in Lloyd for Simmo this week, I traded in Fyfe last week and we all should have started Danger.

      • Spifflicator says:

Lycett will average way closer to his round 1 score of 69, than his 167 in round 2. I doubt he will be keeper anywhere.

        • Derek says:

Any ruck against Carlton could get 160 this year

My Monday morning rage trade was Mundy to Lycett. I already have Kelly.

Lycett did only play Carlton and with the Hoff having a poor game, his price will drop the next couple of weeks, thinking of getting a rookie and banking cash

    • TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

3 out of 4 aint bad.

Went the top mid price who isnt too far behind fyfe.

      • Derek says:

the forward line is the most unpredictable this year.

        after danger its crazy.

        • ZzZCalintZzZ says:

Agree Derek. Think that we expect top 3 Fwds to avg 100+ and 7 others in the 90+ range This year. Not a lot of players I see in the fwd line avg high 90's and the valuable 100+

          • Derek says:

I did notice THawkins not doing much wrong and sitting on a lazy 101 ave.

Loved how he gave Clarke a goal last week

With the chaos of the forward line, I’d hang onto some cash and get some of the big boys when they do the Buffalo Bounce.

    • TOPHAWK1 says:

Got all 4 mate. I got lucky and grabbed all the 'must have" rookies. Enabled me to get Lloyd tonight.

  23. Krups says:

    Simpson to Llyod
    Dusty to Neale or Fyfe

  24. Derek says:

    JR SURVIVOR GROUPS

the following teams went into week one with the immunity necklace:

Div 1 – The Green Shoots
Div 2 – Ya Hate to see it
    Div 3 – Borisbumblebees
    Div 4 – Astroboys
    Div 5 – Jaeger O'Kneera

As per the rules of the competition, the two lowest weekly scores from each division are eliminated each week, unless you have immunity.

    This weeks Eliminated teams are:

    Div 1 – Doc's Destroyers & I Turn Now
The Green Shoots needed to use their immunity this week.

    Div 2 – Black Flag & Boodetime

    Div 3 – Benny's Bangers & Harkaway Pies FC

Div 4 – Uncle Chop Chop & The Bye
Astroboys needed to use their immunity this week

Div 5 – CarltonGiants & Shiel be right

there were some very close calls for some teams. Every division the difference between elimination and safety was less than 3 points, in two of the divisions the team with the third lowest was eliminated because of immunity rules.

I will be removing the above teams from each division this afternoon

This weeks top scorers all have immunity this week, and as you saw from last week, this can be vital.

    Div 1 – RupertsRaiders
    Div 2 – TheBenoFactorst
    Div 3 – Hart-attack
    Div 4 – PottersFC
    Div 5 – Destrawyers

Shout out to Hart-attack (Div 3) who scored a very impressive 2493 last week.

    Good luck everyone

    • Derek says:

Just for information, the following scores WERE eliminated this week,

      Div 1: 2096
      Div 2: 2072
      Div 3: 2026
      Div 4: 2108
      Div 5: 2028

as you can see, competitive divisions

    • Hawk131415 says:

      Nice Hart-attack, massive,

    • JohnDJ59 says:

As soon as I scored only 2057 I knew I was gone, at least it wasn't the lowest score overall.

      • Hart_attack says:

        Cheers lads
Been trying to keep a lid on it and not brag to be honest lol
Was good enough for 2nd for the week and $500 cold hard cash
Lycett at f3 = lucky as f lol was looking like a corrective trade last week

    • Hawk131415 says:

      Cant believe i survived,

  25. Matt says:

Pretty happy with my team so far. Only two problems are Heeney and Billings. Wish I held my nerve and started Boak instead of Billings .

    1. Do I trade Billings to Boak and Heeney to a Kelly?
    2. Do one of these?
    3. Hold my trades?

Leaning towards 3 and hoping I can pick up the points with good trades later on.

  26. ZzZCalintZzZ says:

Tom Stewart needs to be mentioned

  27. RCD2 says:

    Dusty to Sheed or Rockliff?
Total trade benefit is about $200k+ (Including projected price rises and drops) and i'm currently leaning towards Sheed.
Gaff could impact Sheeds scores and likewise with Wines and Rocky.
    Need some advice!

    • Derek says:

      Dusty should still outscore both

      • ZzZCalintZzZ says:

That's a big call on Dusty.
Last year he scored 91 & under x8 times and over 130 x5 times only.
This year he is even worse and with Jack down he will play fwd more.

      • _Kyle says:

I disagree. Rocky will score more unless his shoulder carks it

        • Derek says:

They are all in the 100 to 105 range I would think.

I plan to hold him to byes, see how trades and injury’s are going and luxury upgrade if needed.

Don’t think I can afford a luxury sideways trade so early.

Now Mundy to Rocky is an upgrade. Might consider that.

          • Locked and Loaded says:

Dusty has to go mate not hungry enough and his time fwd will increase I’m all about holding premos but when you have the right rookies use what you would’ve used to correct premos… dusty not making a tackle in 2 games of football is not just worrying it’s get him out now and rocky will average more don’t forget what he’s capable of

  28. Will says:

    Do I trade Yeo ?

  29. Stacky23 says:

    Mundy to Kelly?
    Trade or hold yeo?
Mundy to darcy moore and have cash to spend?

    • ZzZCalintZzZ says:

      Kelly

Use a trade for a keeper
Then won't have to trade again if Moore ends up being a stepping stone because he does not avg 90+ as a F6

  30. Shake_n_bake says:

Greene to miss 1 more week

  31. BobbyGee says:

    Thoughts on Heeney-Lloyd and Walsh-Miers?

Seems like Miers might make similar cash to Walsh while opportunity to grab Lloyd.

  32. _Kyle says:

I reckon im one of the lucky few who nailed all my rooks and besides heeney (who hasnt been terrible and will comfortably hold) i have no plans to make any trades. Barring any injuries theough the week this would have to be one of the first times iv not traded 3 rounds in

  33. yoo says:

    martin to rockliff?

    • Derek says:

I think Martin will be as good as Rocky this year.

So just trading for the cash.

      Is $150k worth a trade?

  34. Madman says:

Anyone worried about Laird? Brodie Smith and Milera looking to be taking some of his touches.

    • Sharkmove_King says:

I think he got tagged last week (by Hewitt) and worked his way through it alright. I think Smith & Milera are pushing up higher onto the wings even, so shouldn't be too much impact.

Pretty simple one really. If you have him hold, if you don't wait for your cows to appreciate and then get him. Top6 defender almost certain

    • Derek says:

if You got him you do nothing.

He was tagged on weekend that won’t happen every week.

He is top 6 defender. You hold

  35. Dan says:

    Thoughts on Goldy to Gawn?

I know both will lose value this week, but it looks like Goldy tends to struggle against the Hawks and Gawn scored 168 the last time he played the Bombers.
So, I'm wondering if this is the week to do it?

    • Rick Grimes says:

I'm dumping him if Campbell is named again. Only wanted him if solo ruck and that doesn't look the case now. Might roll the dice on Lycett and swing him forward later in the year.

    • Dermin8r says:

I'm downgrading Heeney to Worpel so I can upgrade Goldy to Grundy this week. Good Luck.

  36. Sharkmove_King says:

Dusty's gotta go. It must be for a definite premium I think so that rules out Sheed & Rockliff and leaves me with Neale or Fyfe.

Annoyingly I'm $3,300 short on Neale so should I:

1.Trade Burgess to Parker also to make the coin.
2.Trade Heeney to Kelly to make coin.
    3. Trade Dunkley to Kelly to make coin.
    4. Don't get Neale, get Sheed/Rockliff instead

  37. Northerner says:

After his game this week, Shuey will get the attention. Hopefully Yeo off the chain. He looks in good nick. A few frees against going the other way will make a big difference to his scoring.

  38. TommyC99 says:

It’s a very popular question whether to keep or trade dusty. He has obviously looked not quite right but thinking he may have to lift with the tigs leaders out.
Rocky is one that many are doing and banking that 150k is enticing, but will we have to trade rocky somewhere down the line? I think so. I would only have 591k to spend so these are my options: (already got Crouch)

    Bont, brayshaw, Sloane, pendles

The first 3 on there would means I’d be doubling up on 1 team through he mids.

    Thoughts would be great community!

    • AuroraBorealis?! says:

I'm backing Rocky for a 105-110 average this season, and as such he will be fit for m8 come seasons end. Of course, his shoulder could explode next round and i'd be left looking like an idiot put you've gotta take risks in order to succeed

      • Of all the midpricers Rocky has to be the closest to a keeper AB. Williams ,Smith and Libba some chance.Going to take a further 20 trades for me to get to full prem,so one of these at sub 400k would benefit no end

    • Tiger says:

I’m a tigers supporter and to be honest, I would trade him. For whatever reason, be it mind or body or both, he’s not the player of 2017. I watched him play all that year and my wife who barracks for collingwood came to the finals with me , was in awe of him. He really played unbelievably great footy. He still will have some great games but not consistently and I expect he’ll be around the same average as last year in Supercoach, maybe up to 105 at best I think. As much as I love him I picked crouch instead. My 2 bobs worth, cheers.

  39. AuroraBorealis?! says:

Heeney will undoubtedly come good, and will be top 6 at seasons end. Trading him out now and then back in later is a waste of a trade and as such i will not be doing it. Im happy to receive a couple of dud scores in the first 4 round and save a trade, however i play for league wins and not rank so maybe this doctrine wont apply to everyone

  40. FearTheBeard says:

I'm confused as fark with Heeneyyyyyyyyyyyy

  41. Maverick_ says:

    Greene to miss a 2nd week…
    unfortunately he’s an awkward price!
I’m $1,200 off affording worpel and at this point in time I look to have nailed my rookies so no need to trade one down for the $$$.

One option is heeney -> kelly
But once I do this watch Isaac burn me so not real keen on it

This may force me to hold him as much as I don’t want to . Curious to know What is everyone else going to do?

    • Botswana says:

Have all the main rookies plus D Moore. Considering Greene to LDU

    • JohnDJ59 says:

Hi Maverick, which rookies do you have on field ? if they are scoring alright then hold, if not then Heeney > Kelly and Greene > Worpel work for me.

      • Hawk131415 says:

Ive gone Heeney to Kelly Mav, feel his ankle is restricting him and until its right he'll play majority fwd, in which case like ive said a few times is that he will bleed coin and you can get him in later at a bargain price if his ankle gets better and he starts to score better, food for thought and only my opinion, but we've seen it before, players carrying niggles and dont know about it and wonder why they had a shit season, but with Heeney we do know, did it in jlt, went back on and then came off again, not good for me,,

      • Maverick_ says:

        Gday john,
I will have to run with setters, Parker & drew so decent enough cover I have Moore’s DPP but that means I’d still field the extra rook it’d just down back if I swing Moore fwd.

Yeah I know what you mean hawk.. Would love to know the extent of heeneys injury…
        I have three real options;
        1. Heeney -> kelly Greene -> worpel
        2. Greene -> scrimshaw via Moore DPP
        3. Hold trades and play the 3 rooks I mentioned above

        • Hawk131415 says:

Mav, i think Greene is a waste, thats why i didnt start him, because of this crap and the suspensions, just not worth it to me at all, The Heeney call is a gut call for me which could go either way, Kelly looks like top 8 Fwd to me, and i think Scrimshaws js is locked in atm, Option 1 or 2 for me mate

        • Derek says:

Scrimshaw looks good. Very good. Had a nervous first game but he looks a solid player. Good size, can play tall and has a good kick. Might be your trade and bank the cash.

        • JohnDJ59 says:

Hi Mav, looking at the three rookies, two on field would be alright, not sure about all three though, so for peace of mind I would go option one, but if you have faith in Heeney go option two, I have Scrimshaw at D5 and I'm happy with that situation.

    • Derek says:

If I had Greene, I’d trade down to a cheap rookie you don’t have or correctional to Libba. (Hopefully you have Drew or Setterfield in midfield)

      • Maverick_ says:

Got libba already Derek. Unfortunately drew & setters both forward.

Thanks guys you all sound pretty happy with scrimshaw an I was too but to have yas conform it is good. I think I’ll definitely go Greene -> scrimshaw.
Heeney to kelly will be a call later in the week.
The bank from the first alone will be nice.

        • Maverick_ says:

Actually I think I have to also consider rozee instead of scrimshaw Got the DPP to swing if need be and has looked very good for port Adelaide so far..

Thoughts? Both break evens are -45ish

          • Hawk131415 says:

For some reason im not a fan of Rozee, not personal, just dont think he has enough scoring potential to make enough coin to warrant the pick, jmo

            • Maverick_ says:

He looks to be scoring greater than scrim though and surely has as good if not better JS than scrimshaw…

              • Derek says:

Rozee is going to be a very good player

He has started well because Port has won a couple of games.

Scrimshaw will be more consistent and is a fair bit cheaper so you can upgrade him a week or two earlier than Rozee

          • JohnDJ59 says:

I just brought Rozee in for Mills and he is now sitting at D4, so I have both. The ddp is handy if I want to move him fwd in the future for Heeney if he keeps having scores under 90 and get in a premo defender.

            • Maverick_ says:

Yeah it’s going to be a tough call to split the two johnD. No doubt I’ll be burnt by which ever I don’t decide haha

              • JohnDJ59 says:

I had the same problem with Simmo and Heeney, I felt one had to go, just wasn't sure which one, I chose Simmo, but now I'm having second thoughts.

    • Russty_ says:

I'm ripping the band aid off quick with Greene Mav..he's gone for Scrimshaw, still tossing up whether or not to get rid of a second one in my fwd line this week too.

      • Maverick_ says:

Yeah Greene is 110% gone russty it’s round 3 and he will have missed 2 games. It’s definitely Greene to either rozee or scrimshaw for me. Both look to be good picks but can’t say I’ve watched either much

        • Russty_ says:

I lost my fwd def swing doing it but I don't mind cause I saved 40k getting Scrimshaw over Rozee, can get the swing back again when I trade my next fwd in.
Haven't seen all that much of them either Mav, but their stats and JS are pretty good.

          • NoLanguage96 says:

I also lost my def fwd swing getting LDU in for Greene but won't be losing sleep over that!

    • Jarrod says:

      Hello Alex Sexton?

  42. James Sykes says:

been super lucky with the rookies so I dont need to trade if I dont want to.

But thinking about Dunkley to Tim Kelly. Bit of a luxury trade but feel Tim Kelly will finish higher by years end.

    Is this wise guys?

    Also, I'm holding Heeney.

  43. TheBenoFactors says:

I have Heeney @F3 and I will persist with him but for whatever reason those that might be looking at moving on the likes of Martin MID AVG 87.5 $563,800 , Smith DPP AVG 77.5 $531,300 , Heeney DPP AVG 76 $529,200 Is Brad Hill MID AVG 120.5 $426,700 a possible downgrade option from one of these to generate some quick cash? He is definitely a POD only in 632 teams and a projected change of + $41.2k Although its most likely that a MID/FWD swing option is the only possibility to do this for most.

    • Ja191 says:

Similar case to rocky. You’d only be trading him in if you think he’ll be top 8 or 9 mids come years end not as a cash cow

      • TheBenoFactors says:

I thought he might be an option at least for the next 4-5 weeks as a steppingstone and a bit of cash gen, Definitely not a keeper come seasons end. Blakey not due back for a while so Hill could continue on with his 120 AVG at least until then.

    • Derek says:

I think Blakey is still 2 months away, he should be good until then.

At the moment the top 6 forwards is anyone’s guess. I suggest holding off making crazy decisions until more info avaliable

Should Only be dealing with injuries, rookies and Mundies this week, in that order.

    • Hawk131415 says:

Hiilys not a consistent scorer, i wouldnt be wasting that trade Beno, def wont be top 10 mid

  44. marvinnimmy says:

    Hi

Slim pickings on the draft waiver wire. Is Oscar mcierney worth a look? Don’t know anything about him. Flukey scores or potentially able to keep averaging 80ish?

  45. comonyouspurs says:

Ah the week of corrective trading.
I too am facing the Heeney dilemma. I also have Dunkley, mainly because he is a tackling machine and I was hoping Bevo would let him spend more time in the midfield.
So I am think Heeney to Kelly and Dunkley to Boak, leaving 28 trades and $158k left.
    Thoughts?

    • JohnDJ59 says:

I'd pick one of Heeney and Dunkley and trade him to Kelly, no need to trade both.

    • Mick says:

I’d keep Dunkley, he attended a lot centre bounces last week, just didn’t have a great game. Heeney on the other hand……

      • Rocksta_ says:

Dunkley attended a lot of centre bounces but only got 18 possessions. I’m not convinced on him. On the other hand, Heeney will definitely come good and rotate out of the midfield once over his injury niggles.

        • Hawk131415 says:

Hey Rocksta, the point is when will that be? will it be soon or ongoing ????

          • Rocksta_ says:

Depends on the extent of his injury mate. Swans have been crap and they don’t have Hanners any more. He’ll be running out of the midfield as soon as he can I’m sure.
I reckon there will be a week or 2 more of crap. Won’t even be surprised if he’s rested this week. But I’m backing him in as a keeper so his imminent price drop is irrelevant.

  46. Lazza says:

    Ponder me this :
I don't get why people would be bringing in mid-pricers that are not keepers. Fair enough if you started with one ..
But why would you downgrade a Heeney to bring in Moore who is currently sitting at #35 of the best FWDs (and DEFs) and highly unlikely to be Top 10 FWD or DEF. Cash generation is better with the rookies .. so that is not an argument.
If the objective is to generate cash to upgrade another .. that's two trades …
Surely if you must trade Heeney you upgrade him (not many options there) or replace him with another premo like Kelly or Gunston. et el
(I don't have Heeney btw, not yet)

    • JohnDJ59 says:

A great take on the Heeney situation Lazza, I'm holding for now due to trading out Simmo > Lloyd and Mills > Rozee. If it had only been Heeney I probably would have traded him to Kelly.

    • Hawk131415 says:

Yes Lazza i ponder the mid price option but its a backwards move unles the midpricer was averaging 90+ i dont see the point, so went Kelly, could still change to Gunner as a pod, chopping and changing with that one, also have Lynch who i did change down to Worpel as his av is 101, but could easily have both Kelly and gunner as i have the coin? decisions decisions,,,,,,

    • Derek says:

There are only two types of players.

      Keepers and cash generators.

I see why people start with mid pricers, usually because of the lack of or unknown JS of rookies, but usually because of cognitive bias and the hope of them being a nearly keeper. Plus rookies on field are scary, Scott a perfect example.

Non keepers need to make $200-$300k and you need at least 10 to 15 of them.

  47. JuddWarneLoveChild says:

I haven't heard anyone mention Rowan Marshall as a forward option yet. But he looks like St Kilda's best ruckman (granted not a hard achievement) and scored 112 points against Spudchambers on the weekend vs the TB4s. Not sure why he missed round 1, suspect it must have been a niggle picked up in JLT2 where he also scored a 112. I'm tipping no-one has noticed him but any money if he tonnes up again this weekend he'll become like Drake (absolutely shit music but everyone loves him).

  48. Hawk131415 says:

Lynch>Worpel or Gunner?? Thoughts guys?? Lynch is going to drop coin and will be average at best without Riewoldt out, and hes not 100% himself, have to get these correctives done now so i can settle down for a few weeks, cheers boys,,

  49. Shake_n_bake says:

VC options Danger Oliver Gawn Or Cripps?? Into Macrae Capt.

  50. Booya says:

    1) Keep Jack Higgins at F4

    2) Jack Higgins -> 120k rookie and Gibbons -> Sheed (gibbons worst performing mid rookie)

    3) Higgins -> worpedo

    • BoltonsBlues says:

Gibbons is almost guaranteed a game = slow money generation, dont trade him for one that is going to make 100-150k max and wont be a keeper

    • Rick Grimes says:

I also have Higgins but I'm losing confidence after last weekend. I'm wondering if Riewoldt injury might work in his favour. Dusty likely to push forward and Riewoldt had been attending a few centre bounces. Perhaps Higgins picks up more time in the guts. BE of 80 odd, so no rush I guess.

  51. TheWizardOfOzz says:

Hey community, I've got mundy and Martin so it wasnt a good week. I'll be trading out mundy for Kelly, what should i do with martin? and if i don't trade Dusty (I have about 50k to improve dusty if needed) should i try and get Walsh as i do not have him or save the trade and not worry about him?

  52. Jimmy says:

Community do I bring in Neale and Rozee or Rockliff and Worpel. At the moment Im going with Rockliff and Worpel but with no confidence

  53. Rivo says:

Nice podcast Lek, Patch & Damo. I especially like the uncomfortable silence whenever Essendon was mentioned.

My Rooks are sorted thankfully, but I am struggling with the whole Dusty/Heeney issue.

It’s only round 2 and people are jumping off. Heeney will recover from his ankle issues and should finish top 6-10 forwards. Dusty however seems impacted by his JLT injury, off field issues and change in role. I really want to keep him but remain undecided. So…

    Option 1 – HOLD, should never trade premos unless injured or suspended for more than 4 weeks;

Option 2 – Dusty to Rocky – am I chasing points, injury history, Wines returning?

    Option 3 – Dusty to Sloane/Bont – sideways move;

Option 4 – Dusty & Heeney to Neale & Boak – both in good form and on a roll.

Head says HOLD, but there’s a lot of rage trade going on.

Would like to see what others are thinking?

    • JohnDJ59 says:

Go to the best sideways player trade you can afford for Dusty.

    • BoltonsBlues says:

Im trading Dusty but holding Heeney due to having DEVIL Smithers in my team,
      Dusty > Rocky
      Smithers > Kelly

Risky, but i am Captain Risky

    • GreendaleFC says:

I'm in a similar conundrum. Right now hold is slightly leading. Rocky's injury history is just a little too much for me, and I'm not sure that it's worth it to make a sideways trade after only two games.

    • Lazza says:

      Hi Rivo,
I’m approaching the Martin or the equally poor performing Yeo trade as a correction … so yes it will cost me a trade, but if it gives me a Top 5 player then the points and the $$ will make up the trade loss. So a trade to Fyfe, or Oliver or Neale or a J Lloyd thru DPP will be a safe and worthwhile bet.
If Martin comes back into form it’s unlikely he will match those above .. so no sleep to be lost… if he does warrant trading back in, then again nothing lost other than the one trade as his subsequent trade replaces the trade that was always planned to bring in One of those above.

If you are unsure that Martin will return to form then now is the time to trade him… Once a premo not necessarily always a premo

      • Rivo says:

Correction trades are an important part of the game Lazza. Dusty is a Jet when he’s on & he can turn it around, like Yeo, but I’m thinking it may take a few weeks, when the Tigers find their mojo. Neale a great option too, risk/reward. Good luck.

    • Lekdog says:

I'm a hold but leaning to option 2 if forced to trade.

      • Rivo says:

Thanks Lek. What would force you to trade?

Rockliff ownership through the roof now. There’s a bit of me 2 in this weeks trade activity.

    • The Ranger says:

I'm holding Dusty and Heeney as I have to deal with Old Man Mundy but if I was trading Dusty it would be to Sloane.

  54. Steve says:

Want to bring in Parker this week but for who,
Current Fwd line, Danger , Heeney, Kelly, Setterfield, Drew , Schultz, Burgess, Petruccelle

  55. Poonackie says:

    Hi All
Just wondering what everyones thoughts were on LDU, am really liking his role but unsure whether to use a trade to swap someone like Atkins, Scott or Gibbons just to get him. Cash isnt an issue, just after some opinions on whether its worth bringing him in

    • Funkhouser says:

Not sure that I would trade a money making rookie to him, be interested to see what he can average, if Bolta doesn't get a call up this weekend I will trade him to LDU otherwise no, let fate decide.

  56. Trades says:

5k short on Simpson to Lloyd.
So that and Heeney to Kelly

  57. GreendaleFC says:

Willie Rioli out for 5 weeks. Should give Petrucelle a bit more job security.

  58. John says:

I am considering Dusty + Mills (sucked in!!!) to Whitfield and Rocky (the only way I can afford Whitfield).

Should I do it or hold onto Dusty

I can do a straight swap of Mills or one of Rich, Saad or Salem

    Thoughts please community

  59. Joe says:

Greene (F4) to Moore, Dusty (M5) to Fyfe? Rookies are sorted.. Holding Heeney and Dunkley. Thoughts?

  60. Ja191 says:

Shiels and Burgoyne set to miss 3 and 4 weeks respectively. Good news for worpel/cousins owners

  61. BRAD says:

i've seemed to nail all my rookies but can't bloody catch a break and have the right ones on the ground at the right time!

another dilemma i've got is the underpeformance of my forward line premos with Heeney, Dunkley and Darling. Haven't burned any trades yet so it is just so tempting to sideways trade the #%[email protected] out of one of these blokes but i reckon i might just back em in and see how these blokes go over the next few weeks. Someone please give me some advice about what to do with these forward premos!

    • Russty_ says:

Tough getting the rooks right on field Brad but it gets easier, I blew it first round and got em all wrong, second round was better, from here on, just stick the ones on with the highest average, probs best to back your guys in..but if they stink it up in the next few weeks you might have to move on em.

    • Rocksta_ says:

      Please refer below.
I’m sticking with Heeney as I know he’ll come good after he gets over his injury niggles. Swans also need more options to run out of the guts. Not convinced on Dunkley due to his relatively low possession count, and Dogs many options for mid rotation.
      Farewell Mr Dunkley.

  62. Rocksta_ says:

I’ve gone Dunkley to Parker, allowing me to Upgrade Ridley to Lloyd. Dunkley has gotten 20 and 18 disposals respectively over the first 2 weeks. Hardly the stats of a regular midfielder. Dogs have many options to rotate out of the midfield, and with Libba killing it, I serously doubt that Dunkley will end up a Top 8 fwd. On the other hand, I’ll bare my butt in Flinders Street if Lloyd doesn’t end up a top 2 defender. Brought in what looks to be one of the best cashcows and arguably the best Defender in the comp by flicking 2 underachievers.
    It just feels right!

  63. ZzZCalintZzZ says:

    Corrections outta the way
    Field of keepers:

Whitfield, Laird, (Smith D6 last to upgrade once full premo)
Fyfe, Sloane, Macrae, Cripps, M.Crouch, (Rockliff valid M8 if he survives the year)
    Grundy, Gawn
Dangerfield, Heeney, (Worpel valid F6 or even F5 who knows)

Got 101k to spare with 13 rookies on the bubble.

  64. Daz says:

Dusty+Goldy to Rocky and Grundy… BANG BANG!

    …Got all the right rooks.

  65. Benjiherb says:

Mumford for Jacobs ? Bad call good call Caro.

  66. KeenButClueless says:

Up until today I could see breakevens for players, but now I can’t- unless I subscribe to SC stats. Anyone else experiencing the same?

    • Lazza says:

Everyone in SC was on a free trial .. from R3 you have to pay $20 to have access for the rest of the he season…

      • Tbag86 says:

I’m the same… I thought Foxtel subscribers bet the complimentary SC gold subscription…

Anyone shed any light on this???

        • Tiger says:

Go to https://www.foxtel.com.au then login using your Foxtel email and password. Then open Supercoach in the foxsports portal and login to Supercoach. You must have the foxsports package to be able to sign in. From what I hear some people have had trouble signing in and then tried using their Supercoach login and like myself got it for trial for 12 weeks free. Better than nothing, hope this helps.

  67. Justin says:

Thought I was being clever dropping Grundy pre season till after the byes to avoid two donuts in the ruck round 13. Ended up with Gawn and Goldy.
Any advice as far as Goldy goes?

    • TommyC99 says:

You could bring in Grundy and then look to upgrading to a Lycett/Westhoff in the fwd down the line, which is what im planning on doing. Otherwise you could stick to your original plan on getting Grundy after the byes, but i'd fear you'd lose too many points

      • Justin says:

I do have Westoff. What about Goldy out, Westoff to ruck and a premo fwd with Goldys cash?
I am worried abou points but I might get the best of both world if I pick the right premo.

    • Hawk131415 says:

      I think Goldy is done

    • Dan says:

I was thinking the same thing. If Campbell is named again I'm planning on trading Goldy to Gawn.

  68. TommyC99 says:

Is it worth holding Dusty if you cant trade him to a Fyfe/Neale? If i traded, it would be to either Bont, Sloane, Pendles or Rocky.

    • JohnDJ59 says:

      Bont or Pendles.

      • TommyC99 says:

Not sure either are top 10 mids either. Bont showed last year he can be just as inconsistent, although this could be his breakout year. And pendles has looked pretty good, but plenty of pies mids and he is getting a little old. I would like a pies mid as a pies fan but think treloar is the one to own from the pies, but unfortunately i dont have the coin

        • JohnDJ59 says:

I guess that is why they are priced the way they are, we get what we pay for, but I would still prefer one of Bont or Pendles over Dusty, ps I didn't start with any of the three, but both Bont and Pendles are on my watchlist.

  69. FranklinShow says:

Rookies pretty much nailed (bar scrimshaw) however i was lulled into picking Greene so need to correct that. Options

1 – Greene to Scrimshaw and Dusty to Fyfe
2 – Dusty to Rocky and Greene to T Kelly.
3 – Greene to Scrimshaw and B Crouch to a Angus Brayshaw.

    Thoughts??

    • NoLanguage96 says:

Have the same issue FS – thinking option 1

    • Russty_ says:

      Option 1's a ripper FranklinShow.

    • Locked and Loaded says:

      Option 1 or 2

Option 2 gives you two keepers imo rocky is back

    • Nice_Person says:

Not sure why option 3 is there. Brads been great.
      I'd pick 2

      • FranklinShow says:

Option 3 is there as crouch isnt a keeper and brayshaw may finiah in the top 15 mids by the end of the yr and could be a perfect m8.
I think option 1 is where im learning to but rocky appears to have recaptured his ball winning ability. Interesting to see if teams start putting time into him and what is the effect of Wines coming back.

  70. Dilema says:

If you didn't start with Moore, Rocky, Sheed etc do people think its worth spending a trade on getting them in. This is the huge dilema circulating my mind. What do people think?

    • Tim says:

Many are saying no, but they also said that about Coniglio and Sicily last year; both of which I traded in early and worked out swimmingly.

    • Hawk131415 says:

      nope

    • Russty_ says:

As the boys said in the podcast mate, who gets the boot to do that?…and will they be worth it long term or have to be traded out again?
You're either dumping a premo or a rookie who hasn't fattened yet to make it happen, possible exception would be Dusty, if I had him I'd turf him.

  71. Joe T says:

Which one out of the two options below?

    1. Simpson to Whitfield
    2. Heeney to T. Kelly

    • Joe T says:

Holding trades is also an option. Was lucky enough to get the rookies right

      • TOPHAWK1 says:

I nailed the rookies too Joe. There lies the opportunity mate! Most coaches need to use a trade(s) to grab a "Charlie Constable" or "Matthew Parker" like rook. Take advantage of it and use your trades for an upgrade or two! I have used 3 trades over the last 2 weeks to grab Jake Lloyd, Nat Fyfe, and Scott Lycett.

I reckon going Heeney to T Kelly is the best option out of those two. Heeney has a sore ankle and has been managed up forward. In fact, there is a risk that he could miss games if the injury does not settle.

        Good luck mate!

        • Joe T says:

You make a good point Hawk, opportunity to get a leg up early. It feels so weird not having to do any corrective rookie trades that it's almost wrong haha

I feel Heeney will still finish a top 6-8 fwd. Simpson may drop off with Newman now in the team, but i might pull the trigger on both trades and sit pretty the next couple of weeks. Freedom to choose in SC feels strange! Just don't want these early trades to burn me later

    • Dermin8r says:

      option 1 for me…good luck

    • JohnDJ59 says:

      Option 2 or even both.

  72. Prizza says:

    Kelly

  73. Prizza says:

Gee community been doing a bit off research and ldu from north is looking a great target , if you have room for a rookie ( he is cheaper than some rookies) job security is a no brainer and he is playing second year premium rookie footy, could be a huge break-out and make some great spondula, wish i could get him in this week but i have to wait , not for long though

  74. TOPHAWK1 says:

I have had enough of Jack Billings already. After scatting on my side last year, he has decided to start 2019 in similar fashion.

GOOD BYE Mr Billings and HELLO Sir Jake Lloyd.

    • Rocksta_ says:

I’m bewildered as to why so many people picked him this year. He was a stain on my side for most of the season last season, as I had too many forced LTI trades to get rid of him early enough.
He is on my ‘never again’ list. The man Is a downhill skier.

      • TOPHAWK1 says:

Agreed Rocksta. I should have known better. That is why I torpedoed this lazy gangbanger out of my side tonight while I have the opportunity.

        • Rocksta_ says:

Definitely a prime candidate for a corrective trade. 90% of us (me included) have had to make them this week I’m sure.

      • Mystic_Mac says:

He's on my "never again" list after last year.

    • Russty_ says:

Probs would've been better off starting with Gresham instead Hawker, he looks to have lifted this year a fair bit. Billings is a punk 🙂

  75. gator59 says:

How come Libba is only projected 44 points next round… Have i missed something somewhere

    • TOPHAWK1 says:

Not sure Gator. After Libba's heroic 130 last week you would think his projection should be sitting around 80 this week. Still, owners are going to be very very happy. I don't have him!

    • Michael says:

His projection last round was 26. Something up with their algorithm surely

    • Hawk131415 says:

i wouldnt go on those stoopid projections, theyre not right, just a shitty algorythym, or how ever its spelt, will change from week to week, dont rely on them, its pretty much guess work like we all do, go with your gut,,

    • Russty_ says:

It's just to give our opponents a false sense of security this week Gator 🙂

    • Nice_Person says:

It was 13 round 1. Because of that injured game last year

    • Moustachio says:

Based on his av last year. I guess they will switch to this year's scores after 3 games.

  76. markos says:

hey guys, i've got all of the right rookies and my midfield/backline is going decently only thing troubling me is my forwardline. i've got Darling at F4 but i'm not happy with his output atm with a 73 and 90 from 2 goals and 4 goals, i was thinking he was going to get up the ground a bit more and rack up some more touches and marksl but with 30 trades left what are some thoughts on trading him to the worpedo, especialy now that burgoyne and shiels are out could increase give him a better run through the guts. thoughts behind this trade is that he'd be a solid M5/M6 or my last traded out player.

    • hedski says:

I have Darling at F4 also, JJK just easing back into the team, I think Darling will get off the leash soon.

  77. Gaz says:

    Thoughts on this trade?
Heeney and Greene to Worpel and Boak?

  78. Wally Brando says:

who to start on field this week? Sam Collins or Matthew Parker?

  79. Ja191 says:

Is it worth going Dunkley to worpedo and hore to moore so I can get in moore or just wait for a rookie to pop up to trade hore?

  80. L G says:

    Heeney, the 2019 Billings.

    • Rocksta_ says:

No way L G. Heeney is a much better player than Billings. Stick phat, he’ll come good.

    • DavidC says:

Agreed, trading Billings and Hibberd early last year were the right moves. I didn't and suffered. Heeney isn't playing the right role, he's spending too much time in the forward line plus he is carrying an injury. He will miss some games as Sydney manage him. Sydney will struggle all year and miss the eight, in a losing team there will not be as many points to share around. Come round 23 his total points won't be in the top 10 forwards. If I had him I would be trading him to someone like Kelly.

  81. JohnDJ59 says:

There seems to be a lot of talk about whether to trade out Heeney or not, with strong support on both sides. One player that hasn't had much of a mention is Simpson, probably because he's not as popular as Heeney, but what do people think of Simmo, trade or hold and who would you keep out of the two of Heeney and Simpson.

    • Lekdog says:

I'm holding, copping the whack this week and seeing how Marchbank impacts his role (if he returns this week)

      • JohnDJ59 says:

Thanks for the feedback Lekdog, I normally wouldn't be that worried about Simmo, but I'm a bit concerned about how Newman is impacting him.

    • Russty_ says:

Hey John, I'd turf Simmo, and keep Heeney, Simmo could be affected by others or just getting on a bit now and his body could be feeling the effects.
Thought you already went Simmo to Lloyd?

      • JohnDJ59 says:

I had but I changed it to Mills > Lloyd and Heeney > Rozee. Mills is going either way, but I need to trade one of Simmo or Heeney for Lloyd. It's not so much wanting to get Lloyd straight away, just not feeling good about how Simmo and Heeney are travelling and I keep changing my mind about which one should go.

        • Russty_ says:

Can understand your dilemma mate, if I were in your shoes, I'd fix my backline first.
Heeney will be right soon, he's still young and good, he'll bounce back, Simmo and Mills for Rozee and Lloyd will make you the most coin too right?…and Simmo is set to lose 34k if he scores 100 so if he gets another 70 to 80, could lose 45k. (not sure exactly)

          • JohnDJ59 says:

Looking at it that way it might end up Simmo and apart from the last JLT game he hasn't been the Simmo of old.

  82. KSinny says:

What's everyone's thoughts on Dusty to Worpel via dpp? Leaves me with 180k

  83. Doc_1 says:

    How necessary is Parker?
Worth Balta to Parker, or hold Balta if named?

    • Russty_ says:

Think Parker could be one of the best paying rookies this year, he's 23..so mature aged, looks a lively type too, takes good marks and kicks goals.
Balta looked good in JLT but then scored 18 in his first big game.

      • Doc_1 says:

        Thanks Rusty.
Have already pulled the trigger on Balta to Parker. Just don’t want to burn an unnecessary trade and have the mouse hovering above reverse.
The only other play I could have if Balta is named would be Heeney to Parker, but not sure I’ve got the fortitude (even though he may outscore heeney in the short run!).

        • Russty_ says:

That move would take some Jurassic sized nuts Doc…also Caddy is due back this week, so Balta might not get named at all anyway.
I'm just gonna stick with Heeney and ride it out unless he misses games.

    • DavidC says:

Reckon Balta gets named so I am holding for now. Just going to let Parker slide on by.

  84. Dan says:

My team as it stands I feel I have a lot of holes right now and am not ranked well, I usually finish top 3000 with a best rank of 250th

    Laird, Williams, Smith (scrimshaw)
    Collins, Duursma, Clarke (hore)

    Fyfe, Cripps, Oliver, Yeo
    M. Crouch, Walsh, Constable, Drew
    (Butters, gibbons, Scott)

    Gawn, Grundy (bines)

    Danger, Heeney, Kelly ( petrucelle)
    Greene, setterfield, Parker (burges)

19k in the bank feel stuck right now feel like I’m gonna fall behind with no Lloyd, Whitfield, McRae or Neale

    • JohnDJ59 says:

The only players there I would be worried about are Greene, Heeney and Yeo, in that order.

    • Moustachio says:

Greene -> LDU (Drew to fwd)
Hore -> Moore (bench Collins or Clark)

      or
      Greene -> Libba
      Collins -> Moore

      • TOPHAWK1 says:

Option 1 for me. LDU is looking superb. He took a bit of time to get going as the 2018 number one draft pick, but he has now come into his own. If Hore is not named this week, Hore to Moore makes perfect sense. Good luck mate!

  85. Holty01 says:

I’m really scratching my head at the panic with all these Uber premos. Grundy and Lloyd are the prime examples. These 2 were almost guaranteed to be one of the top scoring players in their positions but yet people didn’t start them because they were too expensive and they wanted to wait for their prices to drop. 2 rounds in and now people are wanting to bring one of them in at the expense of 2 trades and the same starting price. Community before you do it, think long and hard at the reasons you did not start them.
In the end it’s your choice and not saying my perspective is right, but all that planning (if any) during the preseason to try and grab these players at a fallen price will be for nothing.

    • Russty_ says:

Happens every year Holty, guys think they're gonna miss the points train and want to jump on asap, I don't have Grundy Lloyd or Macrae but I'm not gonna panic about it, thought Goldy would do ok but he's on notice now.
I started guys like libba and Greene too, Greene's already backfired so he has to go, another brain fade I think was De Goey, not sure why I did it really but I know I couldn't afford Kelly, also thought he could be a good pod but he's more like a pod of shite.
So basically people make other plans with their money eg midpricers etc, and don't get the top guys cause they think their midpricers will work out, when that falls flat on it's ass they panic and want the top guys everyone else has with the big points.
So yeah, most of the time, not starting with the top guys will cost trades, and points.

      • Holty01 says:

Yeah the old mid price traps are always a pain. I said I wouldn’t start any this year but as round 1 started I somehow had 3. I don’t have Lloyd. Would love to get him but not now. Too expensive to waste 2 trades on.
How is everything going anyway mate. Playing much golf?

        • Russty_ says:

Good bud, been a bit busy with renos on the house and painting lately, hoping to hit the course this sunday though..it's been awhile! 🙂

    • TommyC99 says:

Agree holty, the panic is understandable seeing as not having these players would hurt your team. I don’t have Lloyd as I couldn’t squeeze him in and am hoping to pick him up cheap down the line but you have to accept you’re gonna cop some huge scores before they drop in price. If you think you’re gonna panic after they go huge early then you may well start them to avoid putting yourself on the back foot just to get them in

    • TOPHAWK1 says:

      Hi Holty,

The season is upon us! I used 3 trades after fortunately grabbing the right rooks. I snagged Fyfe last week and hopefully Lycett and Jake Lloyd this week.

      • Holty01 says:

Wow Hawk. Go hard or go home I guess. I was fortunate enough to start the right rookies so haven’t used a trade. Have no Lloyd and Fyfe but that was at the sacrifice of starting Hurn and Sloane to get Rocky at M6. I’ll be trying to get Lloyd in soon but hopefully at a fallen price.

    • John says:

Rucks are having a tough trot at the moment

      From Footywire
Gawn's BE this week is 197
      Grundy's BE is 194

Both expected to drop about $40K and $31K this week respectively and are expected to drop the week after as well.

Goldy BE is 150. Expected to drop $25K this week.
Martin BE is 143 Expected to drop $18K this week
Jacobs BE is 130. Expected to drop $22K this week

Only Nank, McEvoy, Phillips, Lycett and English have breakevens within cooee of their ave but the last 3 are not reliable and/or high scoring.

Sit back and enjoy the ride.and consider trading in a week or two.

    • TOPHAWK1 says:

I agree Holty. No need to pull out all the stops to get the uber premos at all cost so early. I am fortunate that I started with all the right rookies and dodged Heeney, Greene, and had some cash in the war chest. As I dont have to trade to get missing rookies, I am going to pull 2 trades this week to strengthen my side. My gut tells me Goldy is going to be trouble this year. So he will turn into Lycett. The cash raised will enable me to snag Lloyd for that serial spud Billings. I might as well grab him whilst I have the chance. He will be top defender with day light in between this year. (Touch wood he stays healthy) I can now sit back and watch the lambs fatten. I have traded aggressively to start this season. Three trades, Snared Fyfe, Lycett, and Lloyd. I will not trade now for the next week or two unless LTI strike. If Taylor Adams is named mate, I might consider grabbing him instead of Lloyd. Keep that one hush hush. LOL

      • Holty01 says:

I was keen on him but not playing 1st round stopped that. If I had a underperforming mid I might of swapped him but happy with my mids at present.

    • TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

      Sage like advice Holts.

Luckily i started all the big boys as didnt want the headache of working out how/when to bring them in.

      Each to their own. ..

    • Lazza says:

I'm not sure that it is all panic… some of us are in a position to grab a Fyfe or Lloyd because circumstances have changed. Typically it is a access to additional funding through a forced trade that allows an under performing premo to be replaced with a performing Uber, where that performing Uber was always a target. I started R1 with $9k in the bank, and didn't have the funds to secure a better premo.
To avoid a donut in R2 I made a trade that as a bonus left me with $80K in the bank. I can now reinvest that by getting rid of an under performing premo MID (Yeo) who is averaging 77 (who will drop $42k this week and more next week) and trade him up to a Fyfe or Lloyd. (I started 6 2 2 in the middle, so can afford to move a premo to DEF).
So the way I justify it is that I have spent $70k less than my starting team for a better team plus the value difference between Fyfe and Yeo, which is $32k today, but likely $60k next week. So next week I will view my trade as being worth $130k.
So, I'm left with a better team and I will still have $47k in the bank.
Obviously there is a flaw in the maths as it doesn't account for the first trade .. but as it turns out the trade to Parker was pretty handy and has allowed me to upgrade duffer Yeo.

So will I bring Yeo back in later? .. probably not as there are likely others who are emerging that will be cheaper.

      • Lazza says:

Don't know why this has happened … only a few minutes after my previous post … no foul language at all… .. it was a large post .. so I hope I don't have to re-do it … so site admin can you make sure it appears … posts with this msg never seem to get released.. .. will have to start saving bl00dy posts before hitting submit.

    • Derek says:

Imagine if you could pick a team from scratch right now. I would have Lloyd in it

In fact I might do that later

  86. Jack says:

which to score the most for the rest of the season from Kelly, Boak or Worpel?

  87. Xavier says:

    Thoughts on these trades community…
Hore to Wilkie and Balta to Parker?

  88. NoLanguage96 says:

Community, whats the more pressing issue here? I have Greene (I know, I know), Dusty and also Ridley who wasn't named last week. Have all the right rooks except Constable (and LDU)

Option 1 – Greene to LDU/Constable and Dusty to Fyfe
Option 2 – Ridley to Constable via Duursma and Dusty to Fyfe

I need the coin to go Dusty > Fyfe…

    HELP!

    • Russty_ says:

Get rid of Greene mate…calf issues can drag on for weeks, he's gone from my squad and I feel relieved.
      Ridley should get more games.

      • NoLanguage96 says:

Yeah it's probably the way to go. Leaning towards LDU instead of Constable, thoughts?

        • Russty_ says:

He looks the goods mate, had a great game on the weekend but so did Constable…I'd go Constable just for the money saved factor, think Atkins would get dropped before Constable.

          • NoLanguage96 says:

Yeah I have Atkins and Clarke already so leaning towards LDU but both guns. Decisions!

        • kinglear009 says:

On a sheer value basis, Constable is cheap. Cheap rookies, wherever possible, are preferable to expensive rookies.

    • JohnDJ59 says:

      Option 1.

    • Moustachio says:

Option 3 – Greene to LDU, Dusty to Constable.

Next round turn some spud rookie to an uber whose price will not have moved much anyway eg Fyfe, Lloyd

    • Dermin8r says:

I'd go Green to LDU so you can go Dusty to Fyfe (or Neale, $11k cheaper and steering a hot young team around the park)

      • NoLanguage96 says:

Thanks Dermin8r. Luckily I started with Lachie so I'm gonna grab Fyfe next week. This week is Greene and Dusty to LDU and Constable pocketing 600k 🙂

  89. TommyC99 says:

    Heeney – Kelly
    Dusty – Neale

Someone please convince me these are stupid trades. Didn’t trade last week but at the end of every year, I tell myself I’m not gonna sideways trade but I always get sucked in. (FYI I can’t do the dusty trade without doing the Heeney one)

    • TOPHAWK1 says:

Cant help you. I am bad at Supercoach.

    • JohnDJ59 says:

I don't mind either Tommy, but if you are doing the Heeney trade just to get rid of Dusty, why not go to a lower priced player than Neale, or are you set on Neale ?

    • Russty_ says:

Maybe go Dusty to Rocky only and ride the Dragon's Tail!

    • Moustachio says:

      Dusty -> Sloane. Keep Heeney.

    • TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

      Like em Tommy

    • Lazza says:

Whats wrong with Dusty to Kelly? You can leave him the guts till your next upgrade then move him FWD. Which means you'd have probably 3 of the final Top 6 FWDs in your team – Danger, Kelly & Heeney and I suspect you already have another premo.

    • Dermin8r says:

Dusty to Neale is a sound proposition, hold onto Heeney, though, he'll come good.

  90. Nozzy says:

Hi Boys got a few dilemmas and would love some advice!
Option 1 Greene to Parker and Heeney to Kelly
Option 2 Greene to Parker and Dunkley to Kelly
Option 3 Greene to Parker and keep Dunkley and Kelly
Option 4 Greene to Worpel and Heeney to Boak

    Thanks Community

  91. Meph says:

Hey all need some help. After the first two rounds have found myself sitting 200th overall. Would love to keep my rank high for as long as possible. Haven't done any trades so far but think i may need to do some this week to keep up. This is my team

Lloyd, Whitfield, witherden, B Smith, Moore, Duursma (Hore, Clark)

Cripps , Neale, M Crouch, Rocky, Libba, Cousins, Walsh, Scott (Gibbons, Constable, Atkins)

    Grundy, Gawn (Bines)

Danger, Heeney, Billings, Greene, Setterfield, Drew (Parker, Burgess)

Looks like most of my rookies are set and my biggest problem really is Heeney and Toby Greene. Do I make two trades and drop those two or do I hold even though I'm concerned about rank.

    • Russty_ says:

I'd be concerned that there is no rank of 200…there's 10 guys at 197 and then it skips to 207.
This doesn't look like a 200th ranked team to me, sorry but I don't believe you.
If I'm wrong I'll apologise, what's your team name?

      • Meph says:

I'm 207th flying majakly is my team name. Sorry I rounded up a touch

        • Nice_Person says:

Don't worry mate, this easily looks like a 200 ranked team.
If I'd seen this team pre round one I'd say your light on in the mids, but it seems to be working right now. Only one I'd look at moving on is Greene.
You're ranked 200 so you don't need to do too much, you don't want to make too many changed and drop off. Focus on a plan to change Walsh or cousins into an uber premo in a few weeks

        • Russty_ says:

Sorry Meph my bad, 207th now I get it..your team makes me wish I'd started with some midfield midpriced madness now, it's working out well for you. I'd move on Greene too, not sure how long his calf issues will go on for.

    • The Ranger says:

How much cash have you got?

      • Meph says:

I have only got $39k so the options for dropping Greene aren't great. Maybe down to Miers for the cash generation and bank the difference to get an uber in asap. Greene probably missing this week so wouldn't change my score this week

    • Sharkmove_King says:

I'm gonna say something risky cos I believe you should be aggressive and trade fairly hard.

      Witherden out for Scrimshaw
      Greene out for Kelly

    • Moustachio says:

      Keep Heeney.

If you trust Parker to keep scoring well, I would keep Greene too.

If not Greene could ideally go up to Dahl or Williams (swing Moore), but you are short a little cash. Something like Setters -> Miers or Withers -> Williams would do it.

      Good luck!

    • Derek says:

I would start with Clarke on bench with E

If he does good, put Hore on field (assuming he doesn’t get named) and swing Moore to forward line and bench Greene for another week.

If you can hold Greene he could still score very well.

If Clarke stinks, leave Moore in Defence, put Setterfield in bench with E.

If Setterfield stinks you then have to decide before 4.30 what to do with Greene. At least you have 2 players you can loop before you have trade him.

Greene to rookie is a good option, probably Pettruucelle

  92. Johnq says:

Reports that Wines will be back this week. Will that kill Rocky as an SC Pig?

    • DavidC says:

Not according to his comments. Gray probably plays more in the forward line and Drew loses midfield minutes.

      • Spifflicator says:

I agree, this hurts Drew which impacts my fwd line as he has been very handy as an onfield rookie. I dont believe it hurts Boak or Rocky and as an inside bull he might actually help them. Ports game plan is the big reason for the points increase so far, as long as they keep trying to move the ball fast through the middle, Boak and Rocky will continue to score well.

    • Holty01 says:

I guess we will find out soon enough. But I think Boak will be more effected.

  93. Locked and Loaded says:

One thing I’m struggling to wrap my head around is people saying don’t trade premos for mid pricers… prime example of you have dusty at M5 nothing waiting with bringing in rocky… he mugtt he been an unknown midpricer at start of year but now he’s someone who could be get to 550k and be a potato all keeper we all know what he can do and he looks to be doing it! It also makes sense if you have other areas where you can upgrade say a Toby Greene and that cash allows you to do it… don’t sleep on rocky even sheed these guys WERE midpricers they are now players who will be worth premo prices AND score well need to understand this… if you are trading them for premos who are going to lose a shitload of cash and have scored poorly then go ahead

    • Locked and Loaded says:

Bloody autocorrect on phone has screwed up so much of that comment lmao

    • Sharkmove_King says:

Yes definitely Patch's Potatoes would view Rockliff as a premium , as he does Rich also.

But some are playing it safe. The way I see it is: if you're playing for rank some many above you have Rockliff. If you trade him in , you don't get the points they've already got.

If you're playing for finals, why not just get 8 premiums that are durable and WILL score 110+ not might.

      • Locked and Loaded says:

Agree and thats exactly my point opinions are plentiful and if you believe Rocky will be a premo, as hes shown he can be in multiple seasons, then you're not chasing points.

    • TommyC99 says:

I found this hard to get my head around but from what I can see you’re saying that rocky can now be considered a 550k+ keeper. Don’t ya reckon you’re going a little early? I too see the hype and I’m also pondering the dusty – rocky trade, but he’s played 2 games. I think if he plays 20+ games I think he could very easily produce a M8 keeper average but I think it’s a tad premature to say he’s a premo already

    • Derek says:

Because there are Premiums and then there are Uber Premiums.

I started Dusty with the hop he would be again an Uber. There is still time.

      Rocky won’t be Uber.

Might not make much difference now, but when the whips are cracking at the end of the season, you have Rocky and someone else has Macrae you are in trouble.

      • Derek says:

Or come end of season, you have Rocky and no trades and someone has Dusty and one trade….. nervous Thursday nights

        • Locked and Loaded says:

All hypotheticals… you have to look at the stats in front of you and the form they are in… why are we talking about Rocky as if he ain’t capable of being uber premium he has before and can do it again… as I said if you don’t need to fix rookies and going to rocky allows you to fix other issues silly to ignore him because he might not be uber premium at M8 🤷đŸŧ‍♂ī¸

  94. Clarkeyy23 says:

Good stuff, I don’t think I can listen again because Lek’s yelling about Rich has hurt me inside

  95. TommyC99 says:

Swans have said Heeney pulled up sore. They did hmsay he will play this week but should we be concerned he won’t start getting the mid time for a little longer?

    • Holty01 says:

I’m moving him on for Kelly. As soon as his ankle is right though, I’ll be eager to get him back in. Problem is his ankle might be better this week and he pumps out 120 but the uncertainty of it because Sydney won’t give to much away worries me.

      • Lazza says:

        Some interesting Heeney data:
Heeney has scored 120 or higher 11 times in his career … so there is a 85% chance that wont happen next week. Or if you base it on last year alone there is a 75% chance that wont happen – if you do the math.. he hit 120+ five 5 times in 2018.
Over his career he has hit the ton 25 times – 19 times in the last 2 years … and he often does that in spurts … in 2017 he twice hit the ton 3 times running and in 2018 had 5 consecutive tons R1 to R5 and 4 consecutive tons R9 to R12…..Last year he was injured in R15 (1st game after the bye) and missed R16 .. but only scored 2 tons after that….. Prior to the bye his average was 107.
In most cases, Heeney needs to kick goals to score tons .. of the 25, only 2 were goalless. But, his role till now has been a FWD or FWD/MID. As a MID/FWD we should see the reliance on goals dissipate.

If we look at his last 2 years he has scored tons in 50% of games..So Holty, there is a fair chance Heeney will ton up very soon … . I'm glad I didn't start him … but once he turns the corner I'll be on him like a flash at hopefully a bargain price.

If you have him, hold him, if you don't, then plan for it.

  96. Tbag86 says:

With all this talk about to trade or not to trade Heeney, the question I see as being most relevant is:

Who do you see as being the top 6 FWDs for 2019??

    Interested in the communities thoughts…

    • Justin says:

I've been shot down already for saying it but I think Dahl will be one of them.

    • Derek says:

      Forward line is the toughest

But the usual crowd will be there at the top

Danger, Heeney, Kelly, Menagola, Smith, Hoff, Hawkins, Buddy, Chad, Gray, Gunston…

They are all capable of having a couple of poor scores (maybe not Danger) and getting them cheaper.

  97. BlooBoiz says:

Hey guys quick one RE: Corrective trades

    Joyce, Collins OUT
    Butters, Scrimshaw IN

I would like to keep Collins as i don't see him getting 20's again, but my logic is that for 40k less, I believe scrimshaw will probably maintin the same average, whereas Butters will smash Joyce in points this year. For the same price I believe I will make a lot of money doing these trades.

Thought please, is it worth it? !!! Cheers guys

  98. Nuts says:

Tempted to trade Dusty not for Rocky (everyone is doing it) but for LDU. LDU looks like this year's Kelly.

    • TommyC99 says:

Not sure you can compare the 2. LDU is only 19 and in his second year whereas Kelly was 23 and had spent his time in the WAFL. Tim Kelly's price was also low whereas LDU has a very inflated price. You can't compare the 2 just because LDU has had 2 good games. He obviously could very well break out a smiliar way to Kelly, but i wouldnt be sacrificing a 550k+ player for a rookie

      • Maverick_ says:

yeah I wouldn’t go down to LDU from a premium. Looks to be good value in M.crouch, Sloane or a bont for similar price. Atleast rocky may be solid enough for an M8 by seasons end if u go that path. LDU will need moving on at some point

  99. Tommo76 says:

Hey guys, im quite new to supercoach. Would love some feedback on my team.

30 trades left, 27.5k in the bank

Hurn, Crisp, Williams, Scrimshaw, Clark, Duursma (Burgess, Hore)
Macrae, Cripps, Oliver, Dusty, M Crouch, Walsh, Butters, Constable (Scott, Atkins, Gibbons)
    Grundy, Gawn (Bines)
Danger, Heeney, Dunkley, Moore, Setterfield, Drew, (Parker, Petrucelle)

Any feedback would be great! Im quite new to supercoach so any help is appreciated!

    Cheers all

    • KeenButClueless says:

A lot of talk about Dusty, Heeney and Dunkley, but unless you feel an overwhelming need to trade, I think you could safely sit on this for another week. You have all the rookies. With so many teams being so similar, then perhaps the biggest advantage you can have is additional trades later in the season.

    • Derek says:

You have nothing to do this week

      • TommyC99 says:

You would hold Dusty derek? I'm thinking of doing the same but this is the week to jump on rocky if you were planning on it. I think dusty has to step up with jack, rance, grimes all out, but i still can't see him maintaining his scoring to be top 10

        • Derek says:

holding Dusty. Don’t think Rocky is top 8, so will cost another trade down the track.

          • Hawk131415 says:

Dont think Dusty is top 8 either, going Dusty to Rocky will save you cash, as well, Rocky will make you cash and get you more points!

            • TommyC99 says:

But at the same time, if they should average similar, you hold dusty either until the byes or trade him to a rolled gold premo who has dropped in price. Rocky could save you cash but not sure 2 games is a big enough sample size to assume hes going to average more than dusty, let alone be a keeper

    • The Ranger says:

Looking good Tommo, hold this week.

  100. sick dog says:

thinking of trading in either Worpel or Boak at my F4, i feel like Worpel has a lot more upside with Shiels and Burgoyne going down freeing up some mid time and Ollie Wines coming into the port side which will take away some of Boak's touches. What are the thoughts on this one community?

  101. Ja191 says:

Didn’t pick Neale because I thought the tag would bring him down. Always had Fyfe to free him up will be interested to see how he goes if he cops it

    • The Ranger says:

I went with Dusty over Neale Ja, partly so I had a bank to start the season with for any correctives and partly because I thought Dusty had to improve on last years efforts.
It's already looking like it might be in my "worst decisions of 2019" list come seasons end!

    • BoltonsBlues says:

Neale was this years brownlow smokey, dont know if you're a betting man but i got odds of $41-1, now been crunched into $15 (can get $13 elsewhere)

  102. Ryan says:

    Thought on these two trades

    Yeo- Brayshaw
    Greene- Rockcliff

I feel Yeo will not be top 15 from here just not playing the same and butchers the ball

  103. Jess says:

Rookies are good. Holding heeney and saving all my trades ti use up later

  104. SON says:

DEAR LEK DOG & PATCH THE SITE IS CALLED JOCK REYNOLDS, HOWEVER WE HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THE LEGEND IN A WHILE. I AM CONCERNED FOR THE WELLBEING OF THE CHAMPION, WHERE HAS HE BEEN? IS HE COMING BACK? WHERE IS THE WEEKLY CHEAT SHEET? LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU LEGENDS SHORTLY 😛

  105. TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

    FARKGUN DANIEL RICH#!@

    Love it Lek.

    In two minds on trading.
    Heeney – Kelly straight swap.
Same as billings – mclean last year (worked out alright)

Someone said Heeney very light training session this week which is a bit of a red flag.

    • GeeGees says:

      Negative.

That's a strong hold my man.

    • TommyC99 says:

Swans have said that he pulled up a little sore, but expected to play

      • Holty01 says:

He pulled up sore after his last preseason game. I was unaware of this until “nice person” mentioned it. Received a knock to his ankle. Apparently no serious damage but concerning it’s still worrying him almost a month later.

  106. magic mullet says:

do I give Jayden short the boot after the experiment fell apart

who do I go to, tom Stewart, Daniel rich, saad, salem

    • TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

      For Lek go Rich!

    • TommyC99 says:

Stewart – Will be affected by touhy when he returns. Still solid scorer but probably an F4-6 defender
Rich – Could YOLO it but we know his history
Saad – Playing on a very average team. Never averaged about 80. Can he keep this up?
Salem – His first 2 rounds epitomises what his scoring is like. Has a game where he plays a blinder but then will go on a poor run. Like Saad, you would be hoping for a breakout year.

In other words, if youre trading a "premo" you should be trading to rolled gold like you Lairds, Lloyd.

      • TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

Dont reckon he has the coin tommy

        • TommyC99 says:

Yeah thought just as much. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I can’t see the point in sideways trading to someone else you may have to sideways trade back out. All those options have questions marks surrounding them.

  107. Blue Boy says:

Are Danger, Dahlhaus and Kelly too many Cats for a forward line?

  108. Tyler says:

    Option 1

    Out- yeo. In- Neale
    Out- Greene. In- Moore
    113k remaining

    Option 2
    Out- Yeo. In- McRae
    Out- Greene. In- Moore
    30k remaining

    Option 3
    Out- Yeo. In- Brayshaw
Out- Greene. In- Rocky or B.crouch
    15k remaining

I feel Yeo will not be a top mid and it’s a gamble gone wrong

  109. Marcus says:

Sorry for being off topic guys, but i am playing in a 10 team league for the first time, and can anyone tell me if it will be a final 8 format in a 10 team league ? Or it will be different ?

  110. Richard says:

How have we rated Williams first 2 week? Trade or Hold.

  111. Yella says:

Taranto to Sloane? Have an extra 50k

  112. Only one spud MUNDY Whether to go LLOYD FYFE or package him with worst rookie for KELLY and ROZEE very tempted with Kelly/Rozee

    • Derek says:

I have Mundy as well. Narrowed it down to 5 possible trades

Lycett – like the ruck back up, liked him all preseason but didn’t know if he would be #1 ruck. Could be a top 10 forward, maybe. Bank $80k

Butters – swing Drew forward. Only good rookie I don’t have. Bank $380k

Libba – will make as much cash as a rookie and better points. Bank $230k

Sloane – best premium I can afford (already have Kelly and $10k short for Whitfield)

      Rocky – Bank $120k

I was originally going Lycett, but not sure he will be good enough, but is the ruck backup and the round 13 bye worth the slightly less points?

      • Hi Derek We started with the same set ups. At the last hurdle I swapped Whitfield and Hind for Libba and Smith ,giving me 12 prems 2 nidpricers and 2 high priced rooks. so I have the same problem MUNDY/..what to do ? Of all your options I like the Sloan one . For me whitfield or Kelly are my options.Trades are my priority and going less than like for like just doesn't cut it .Having those one or two extra prems in our original teams can only benefit if the mid pricers crash which historically they do// Kelly or whitfield is tough NDD

        • The Ranger says:

Flip a coin on those two Neil.
          Check your bye structure?

        • Derek says:

i've always liked Sloane, but never even looked at him preseason. I guess the whole not handle the tag scared me away. Same price as Mundy, seems a decent swap. However, i already have MCrouch, Dusty and Merrett, not really Uber premiums. adding Sloane is another one of the second teir.

there is always Gray, Gunston, Devon, Hogan in forward line. all potential top 6 forwards?

gee Kelly looks good though, very happy with starting him in team. Whitfield is $40k more than Kelly, probably would go kelly ahead of Whitfield just on that

      • The Ranger says:

        Same problem for me Derek.
No love for Dahlhaus or Daniels?
I'm very tempted by Daniels, 3 tons out of the last 4 games in 2018 after he was switched to half back and has started this year with 2 tons.
And Dahlhaus has the classic "player at a new club" look about him.
Not sure either player can keep a 100pt av but 90 might be enough for a fwd this year.

  113. Sharkmove_King says:

Is Burgess to Parker worth it? If we use the 'trade is worth 150k argument' Parker would have to make 150k more profit than him to justify trade , right?

I reckon Burgess will get to 250k (even if averages ~45 all it takes is a couple of back to back 60's) I don't see Parker getting .to 400k, I'd say low 300's

    • James Sykes says:

Parker is definitely more supercoach friendly so if you need the points on ground then Parker is the go.

  114. James Sykes says:

    Hi guys.

Any merit trading Toby Greene to Darcy Moore?

  115. JohnDJ59 says:

Finally settled on my two trades for this week, I think I have anyway, Keeping Simmo, he still has to be a top 8 defender at season end , he just has to put the long sleeves back on. Mills is out for Lloyd, who I had in my team for most of the pre-season and I was thinking of bringing in Rozee for Heeney, not confident about his ankle, to bank and make some cash, but have decided to sideways trade instead and will be bringing in Kelly who I wasn't sure about at the start but he is playing in the guts so he gets my nod of approval.I had wanted some cash in the bank for future upgrades, but decided to just spend the lot now. So my trades are Mills > Lloyd and Heeney > Kelly.

  116. What's with his ankle? I went Kelly and Rozee and cash but could easliy have been Lloyd or Fyfe. Should improve your team John

    • JohnDJ59 says:

He got a knock on the ankle in sydney's last JLT game and silly them put him back on, had to be iced during and after the game, not sure why Sydney would risk him during a pre-season game. It is still bothering him, so I'm not taking the risk, even though he is probably a top fwd when fit.

  117. Lekdog says:

If the website appears down tonight or tomorrow night it's because we are doing some maintenance and fixing up the engine. Will also be on a new server so load times may change slightly but likely will be unnoticeable.

Also, keep an eye on https://www.twitch.tv/lekdoggames for a live chat tonight

  118. JohnDJ59 says:

Finally settled on my two trades for the week, I have decided to keep Simpson, he has to be a top eight defender by season end, he just has to put his long sleeves back on. Mills will be traded out for Lloyd who I had in my team most of the pre-season until I started looking at mid priced players instead of rookies. Heeney will be traded out since I don't like his ongoing ankle problem, if it was just form I would trust him to turn it around, an injury is different, you don't know how long it will last. I was going to trade him to Rozee to bank some cash and have some extra cash generation for future upgrades, but I have most of the better rookies, so I've decided to spend the cash I have now and go with a sideways trade to Kelly who I wasn't sure about at the start, but he seems to be playing in the guts for the cats, so he should be a top six fwd. So to recap my trades are Mills to Lloyd and Heeney to Kelly.

    • Sharkmove_King says:

Solid trades IMO, will have an immediate impact on your team points wise.

    • Derek says:

Can you just do the Mills to Lloyd, or do you need the bit of cash that you get from the Kelly trade?

      • JohnDJ59 says:

Hi Derek, I couldn't do the Mills to Lloyd trade without trading either Simmo or Heeney.

    • I the other went way John .Kelly and Rozee. So really Rozee and cash or Lloyd. The rationale being, though he was also in my preseason teams, I can't justify the dollars for Lloyd. Rozee will make 100k super quick thus enabling me to pick up either a fallen prem or one of Rocky, Bcrouch or Sheed who by then will still be value and will have proved themselves worthy It's a matter of choice mate cheers

      • JohnDJ59 says:

Hi Neil I did like the idea of Heeney to Rozee, and the cash banked and cash generation would have been very useful, but I was worried that I would fall too far behind after two sub par scores of 2070 and 2057 to start with and if Heeney does come good at least I will have traded him to another top six fwd in Kelly.

  119. Gord29 says:

Dalh or worpedo? Have been unable to watch any of there games so looking for some guidance from the community

    • hedski says:

      Dahl if your choosing

      • PizzaSafety says:

Tough one. How much mid time is Dahl getting?

Id probs go to Worpedo due to role/opportunity in the midfield. Dahl could rejuvenate but has dropped off in recent times.

  120. Mad Mike says:

Toby Greene, Mills and Sidebottom = who to hold out of these 3?

  121. Maverick_ says:

Still on the fence with what I’ll do about heeney but not having Lloyd is hurting me so considering the following..

    Greene-> rozee

    Heeney -> Lloyd

126k left in bank for future trades

  122. Steeeve says:

Last week I traded collins to wilkie and used the cash to go merrett out for neale. And at the last minute I thought nope stay strong. No trading premiums. No trading rookies after one game. Merrett got 109 despite a tag and Collins outscored wilkie by 60. Wilkie will probably get dropped. Sometimes holding fire is the right move.

  123. Derek says:

Mundy is an exception to that rule?

    • Steeeve says:

Middle-aged men averaging two kicks per week are an exception, yes. He will improve but unlikely to be top 6.

Merrett in particular I was desperate to get rid of. He was awful round one. I thought he must have been carrying something. But he has the pedigree and he is in his prime. I'll be disappointed if he averages below 110 from here.

  124. Gibbs says:

Thinking of trading Greene to Libba via dpp and Simpson to Lloyd. Normally I never trade premos and I acknowledge that these trades don’t improve my structure as still have the same out of premiums to trade in, but Greene has been constantly injured and is far from a premo and Simpson has been been very average. The bonus of trading green is I can then field Drew in fwd like allowing me to field a Butters over say a Pettrecelle in fwd line

  125. Jye says:

What do i do with callum mills
    Hold or trade to Moore

  126. Lekdog says:

Let's talk #supercoach trades. Live right now on https://www.twitch.tv/lekdoggames

  127. redherringfc says:

I’m looking at removing Dusty and getting Macrae. To do so I need to downgrade Greene.

Who should I pick out of Miers, Moore or Rozee? I’m thinking Miers on price, but Moore is probably going to score more points and has the best job security.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    • hedski says:

Moore or Rozee for DPP and JS over Gryan.

    • LtDraught says:

Doing the exact same, Red. Im grabbing Rozee simply because I already have Moore thanks to the advice of the community. Of the 3 I would go for Moore as I reckon he has the best JS, scoring potential and you can swing him front and back. Hope this helps mate.

    • Sharkmove_King says:

If it's a on field spot, has to be Moore

  128. Holty01 says:

Traded Heeney to Kelly Sunday night and I’m still yet to reverse trade. Seems like that decision will not be changed. Hoping Heeney has 2 more bad games to hopefully drop close to 400k. Will then attempt to bring him back in once I’m happy he is over his injury.

    • JohnDJ59 says:

Sounds like a plan Holty, I just made the same trade today and I'm not looking back.

      • Holty01 says:

It’s a tough one to make though as I know I’ll be trying to get him back later but as this is the only trade I’ve had to make, it makes it a bit easier

        • Jess says:

If you look at heeney's scores from last year he does this kind of thing. Once he gets going he will bring consistent tons. He is only getting older wiser and better. Swans only need to not get smashed and he will kick some snags up 4ward for now

          • Holty01 says:

True Jess. Just worried about his ankle. But knowing my luck as soon as I trade him his ankle will be better and he’ll pump out a ton.

          • Hawk131415 says:

Its not poor form, its his ankle thats the problem, not bee stung toe either,

    • Beezneez says:

Its doing my head in thinking about trading Heeney for Kelly who I had at f4 in my original team. Heeney did ton uo in JLT before the ankle problem. But he may still take some time to hit his straps. Playing forward is not helping and he is about to lose $30k. Might do it for my first trade but will be a last minute decision I'm sure. Have all the right rooks who could fatten enoigh to get him back in. Undecided.

      • Russty_ says:

Hi Beez, can't see the point really in trading out someone who you'll probably want to get back in again…I'm just gonna leave him there, no matter what he does for now.

  129. Saritz says:

Boy, the media outlets are pumping Rocky as a good trade in option! Personally, I feel he is a trap. I just think he'll be too erratic with scoring, Port are winning and you can be your life he'll miss games at some point. If he keeps pumping out a 115+ average by round 6-8, I'll happily reconsider him then (and pay the premium). Congrats to those who have started him though!

    • Jess says:

Five more games down the track and he could be a 'must have'. Wait till he knocks out a 180 -200 point game and all the non havers freak out. You're right though, his injury risk and sporadic scoring are no good

  130. JoelP says:

Can anyone see a reason why i shouldnt trade Hore to scrimshaw? Even if Hore's named i don't like his JS one bit
Scrimmer has great JS and looks be able to score

  131. Cam says:

    Ridley to Rozee. Should I shouldn't I?

    • Holty01 says:

Hi Cam. If Ridley not playing this week I’d do it for sure. You need players earning money early in the season

  132. Ja191 says:

rocky, b crouch, sheed or none?

    • PizzaSafety says:

      The rock man

    • Maverick_ says:

hard to look past rocky he has been there before so no reason why he can't again.
people keep saying wines will impact him negatively but why can't it help rockys scoring?

  133. Jess says:

I work at an apple farm and deal with all sorts of apples. Heeney's cousin regularly visits me and he has said that he is all good and his toe just needed some tea tree oil because he stepped on a small bee. Back him in for a 160+ this week. Subscribe to my YouTube for more hot news

  134. Too many midpricers! says:

Have $115,000 in the bank, would appreciate any advice on my potential trades!
    Option 1:
    1. Ridley to Scrimshaw
    2. Jack Higgins to Darcy Moore
    3. Upgrade Miles next week to any premo (probably Macrae)

    Option 2:
    1. Ridley to Darcy Moore
    2. Miles to Rockliff

    • kinglear009 says:

Depends on how you value Rocky vs Higgins vs Miles vs Macrae. Miles looks very good tbh, not sure you'd trade him. Ridley to Scrim is good, for sure. But Higgins up might be the solution. Kelly within your budget?

      • Too many midpricers! says:

Unfortunately $5,000 short if i go Ridley to Moore. Just saw Miles only played 69 minutes last week so definitely holding him. Leaning towards just offloading Ridley if not named to either Scrimshaw or Moore. Lets be honest 90% chance Rockliff will burn me if i make that switch!

  135. Soothsayer says:

I am looking at Heeney and D Smith down to Dahl house and Warpol. That takes me up to $333k in the bank and will ease the upgrades from rookies back into those two- or a better performing fwd later. I see it as a way of making informed mid price selections so you pay for it with trades but you aren’t left losing cash to mid price lemons. What’s your feeling on this approach community?

    • kinglear009 says:

Burning 2 trades should decrease the risk in your team. Both Dahl or Worpel are very risky players. I foresee future heartbreak and trades in that direction. Smith seems out of Don's mid – but go to a more certain player (Kelly the clear candidate).

  136. Spilt_milk says:

Dusty to kelly and greene to moore thoughts?

    • kinglear009 says:

Like Greene to Moore, Dusty to a premo makes more sense though. Someone dependable. Neale, Crouch if possible – but Kelly is a gun, good choices all around.

      • Spilt_milk says:

Is it worth holding greene though to save a trade and waiting till he comes good or do i pull the pin now and jump off the greene train.

        • kinglear009 says:

I didnt start him, so clearly I'll be more skeptical on his potential than you. His injury is concerning. Meanwhile Moore isn't a lock by any means. Got a 90, sure, but Pies monstered that whole game. Yet his role is solid as the rebounder. Really comes down to your preference for risk and reward. I like Moore.

        • Russty_ says:

Reckon you need to offload Greene before he becomes a disaster..(misses more weeks)..could happen..and even if he is back next week, he'll be rusty.

  137. kinglear009 says:

Food for thought community. In his opening season, Tim Kelly had 6 clearances several times, but never more than 6.

This year? 9 clearances, and 10.

    Role change indeed.

  138. Maverick_ says:

Marty Hore Going to lockdown a spot in the dees best 22? His causing me a real headache and could be a correctional trade I want my rookies playing every week.

    • kinglear009 says:

I have to say I don't think so. He's fighting with Frost, Hunt and a few others for the spot and it seems he's one off being in the team. Will play games when injury strikes, but I don't see consistency.

      • Maverick_ says:

I think your right kinglear just Have to weigh up whether his worth a sideways trade too scrimshaw who has the JS

    • Russty_ says:

I would move him on this week if not named Mav, but I have 2 other problems to take care of first, other rookies always show up too.

      • Maverick_ says:

I’m thinking even if his named I may do so russty. Scrimshaw should play for a long while making quicker cash and can cull when a fresh cow comes. Hore May take twice as long to make the $$ if his only playing sporadically… he only looks to be injury cover at the dees.

    • TheScacman says:

Who's coming in for Hore? Not a lot of must-have defensive rookies at this point unless you've missed one of Scrimshaw, Rozee, Duursma, Clark, which are all going to hit your cash reserves. Surely bigger issues to fix rather than burning a trade on Hore? Otherwise hold. Will get games this year, and if you've got one playing rookie on the bench, that's probably okay for the moment

      • Maverick_ says:

I’m actually missing scrimshaw which is who the trade would be too scacman.. should play every week hore will be a headache every week.

  139. Daniel says:

Hately and Greene out for Scrimshaw and Rockliff
Hately and Greene out for Rozee and Sheed

1k short of Rozee and Rockliff, also can't get two mids in but would love to have LDU

  140. Nozzy says:

    Thoughts on this?
Heeney and Billings out for Worpedo and Kelly

    • Russty_ says:

Maybe not Billings yet, he's playing according to his price..Averaging 86, could get better I guess.
I'm just gonna hold off on Heeney, maybe you don't need to do anything?…except if you don't have the best cash-cow rookies?

  141. Ando says:

Did Balta to Drew and Dusty to Matt Crouch. Good luck this week community!

  142. Intheknow says:

    Option 1

    Dusty > Fyfe
    Greene > Moore

    Option 2

    Dusty > Rocky
    Greene > Kelly

    Thanks guys

  143. Richard says:

Does anyone have any statistics on the % of gametime that Dunkley spends in the midfield?
    Cheers

    • Ja191 says:

Vs the hawks the Centre bounce attendances were: Macrae 16, Wallis 13, Bont 12, Libba 11, Dunkley 10

    • Lazza says:

Dunkley is averaging 25 mins per qtr on field but only scoring 0.8 points per minute. Which is 12th best in his own team… The player who scores most ppm is Libba … of the FWDs he is behind Daniel, McLean and Wallis.
We could make some assumptions – there are 8 players rotating through the mid-field – Macrae, Libba, Bont, Wallis, Hunter, Maclean, Dunkley, Smith. Assume Macrae spends most of his time mid and Smith and Libba would cancel each other out. That leaves 5 players sharing 2 MID field positions.Watching the first 2 games Bont and Hunter probably spent 50% game time in the middle. So I'd guess Dunkley, Maclean and Wallis would only be MID for 30% to 40% game time. Over the season this will vary depending on how each are performing on the day.
There is no doubt Libba has taken a fair % of MID time from each of those 3.

Just on Libba: He is scoring @ 1.4 ppm which makes him Top 10 by that measure and equal with Danger. If he stays fit and gets more game time and keeps up that level of performance he could be the POD pick of the season. Right now he is a better choice than Worpel or Sheed. (I don't have him unfortunately )

      • Russty_ says:

Legend Lazza, great read mate, I've got Libba and with his lowly prediction of 44 this week and a 32K rise, how much coin do you think he'll make if he gets 104 rather than 44?

        • ZzZCalintZzZ says:

Awesome insight with stats Lazz đŸ’ĒđŸģ

        • TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

How did you like my sneaky on Hill in Finns draft league Rust?

Couldn't resist playing the bad guy. 😂

          • Russty_ says:

Haha no worries mate, I think you got in before me anyway. All's fair in Love and Draft lol

        • Lazza says:

Hey Russty…. working out the pricing is not an exact science as there is a multiplier each week that only is determined at the end of the Round. It varies because CD have to keep the total of all players salaries the same each week. With that the BE for each player is always understated.
As best we can work out, without knowing the actual formula, new prices are based on (the current price x 75%) plus (the last 3 game average x 25% x the value of a point) x (the weekly multiplier).
The value of a point is approx $5440.75, (this means his nominal average was set at 55).

So, if we use Liibba as an example .. assuming he scores 103 this week, his 3 round average will be 102.
          Current Price = $300,400 x 75% = $225,300.
          3 Round average = 102. Multiply this by 5441 and by 25% = $138,746.
Add together = $364,000 (rounded). But this then has to be multiplied by the weekly multiplier.
So the difference will be +/- $64K.

Given the rookies generally increase in price, there has to be reduction somewhere… this hits the Premo's mostly as their price is inflated at the start of the season… so given Libba is around mid-priced… I'd expect his increase to be not far off the $64k.
But that multiplier is based on the entire round, so who really knows.
(note to those planning your trades, by mid-year the average price for premo's is around 5% lower than their starting price).

  144. KSinny says:

Need some suggestions on my trades this week fellas.
Do I 1. Trade Dusty to Worpel via Setterfield allowing me to have butters on field over Setterfield.
    2. Trade Dusty straight to Sloane/Rockliff (don't have enough to go up to neale or Fyfe.
    3. Hold

    • ZzZCalintZzZ says:

i like Dusty to Sloane. Many reasons why:
      1) Sloane is $39,500 cheaper.
      2) Sloane has laid 17 tackles. Dusty 0 tackles.
      3) Adelaide has 7 home games in their next 10 rounds.
      4) Adelaide plays Nth Melbourne, Gold Coast, Fremantle in their next 3 games after this round.
5 Richmond plays Port Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne in their next 3 games after this round. Sydney and Melbourne will find their mojo by then.

      • KSinny says:

Thanks for the reply mate! I Definatly rate Sloane as a top tier player and could easily finish a top 8 mid like he did a couple years ago. Only thing that worries me is how he can be easily tagged out of the game, but with both the crouch brothers playing maybe he won't get as much attention.

        • ZzZCalintZzZ says:

Yeah that's the upside with Sloane having the Crouch Bros and Laird with him. Last year the Crows did not have all 3 constistantly on the park with Sloane, heck even Sloane missed many games. Think currently Sloane is safe from a direct hard tag while the others are on the ground with him.

  145. LHMORWOOD says:

Is it worth trading Dusty to Neale or keep Dusty seeing as Caddy will come back not neccisarily meaning Dusty will have more forward time?

    Cheers.

    • TheScacman says:

I'd lock Neale in as a top mid if you think that's where he's going to finish. Dusty not looking 100% at the moment – whether that's a fitness concern or an effort issue (highlighted by his zero tackles), I definitely wouldn't be holding him. Just as likely to drop 80 this week as he is to get a score in the 100s, and that's just now what we're paying for. Sloane also a good option if you want to hold some bank

  146. Porper says:

    Dunkley to Kelly?

  147. Hank says:

Have the potential to upgrade Dusty to anyone given cash holdings and thinking Cripps/Oliver – or should I hold?

  148. FearTheBeard says:

Do I get Rozee in for the cash cow this week or lock Kelly in?

  149. The Ranger says:

What do we think of Mundy – Worpel?

Mundy was supposed to be a solid keeper with an av of 90 -100 and I realise Worpel might not be that but as long as he continues to get games he could end up as a handy M9/F8 so can still be regarded as a keeper in the long term i.e I'm not locking in another trade.
It would bank me 200K and seeing as I've not had the best of starts (I'm looking at you Dusty, Goldie and Heeney) it would mean that I might be able to upgrade some rookies early or even go from Goldie – Gawn if bloody Tom bloody Campbell keeps getting a game.

  150. Jabba07 says:

    I have a dilema.

Went light on defence with Mills at D1, but heavy on attack with Heeney, Dunkley and Billings D2 – D4. Mills has to go, got 66k cash. Rookies all great.

Option 1 – Mills to Tom Stewart or Harris Andrews, I like both.
Option 2 – Mills and Heeney out for Worpel /Rozee and Lloyd

    Would love a hand community….

  151. Stupid Coach says:

    My team is as follows:

B: Laird, Simpson, Williams, Rozee, Collins, McKay, Hore, Joyce
M: Macrae, Oliver, Cripps, Coniglio, Merrett, Walsh, Butters, Constable, Settlefield, Gibbons, Scott
    R: Gawn, Goldy, Sweet
F: Danger, Smith, Heeney, Drew, Petrucelle, Parker, Brander, Burgess

No trades so far, however, really keen to pull the trigger. Do I focus on getting rid of the rookies that are not getting a game (i.e. Hore, Joyce, Brander) and replace them with those on the bubble or the under performing guns (Simpson, Smith and Heeney) and bring in Lloyd for Simmo or , T Kelly/Dalhaus/Worpel for Smith or Heeney.

Also, should I VC Danger or Oliver.

  152. Tommo says:

    Greene to..
    1- Rozee
    2- Miers
    3- Lincoln McCarthy

    Cheers boys

  153. Redd says:

Miers of youve already girmt parker

  154. TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

Wow to the AFL with a bullet.

Sydney Stack to debut for tiges.
Not good news for Balta maybe?

  155. skepp1234 says:

Trade – Kade Simpson to Darcy Moore , Issac Heeney to James Worpel then have 473,800 left and next round trade Nick Hind to Adam Treloar or don't make any trades?

    • Russty_ says:

Hi skepp..I think if you're intent on getting rid of Simmo, I'd be looking to get the best replacement you can like Lloyd.

  162. Tyruddanaut says:

I held Heeney! I saw him in the midfield and panicked and reversed changes and missed out on a potential 70 points off 2 trades.

I am still fence sitting whether it was hood or not
