PODCAST: Our terrible, awful, no good, very bad first teams
Podcast: Play in new window | Download
“When it’s early in the season and you don’t care for future woes/Anything goes!”
It’s not very well known, but the 1934 Cole Porter musical Anything Goes! was actually about a sailor picking his Supercoach side early in the season, without a care in the world.
Lek and Patch haven’t quite channelled that particular musical (because they’re uncultured cretins who haven’t seen it), but they’re captured the vibe of the thing.
They’ve thrown together their first* drafts for season 2019 and have released a podcast to show you, community, how not to pick a Supercoach side.
They talk locks, speculative picks and downright awful selections – including Patch’s four mid-pricer backline – to kick it off with a bang.
And if you haven’t already – get around the Trade Planner from Community legend Chicko.
I went from a kind of decent team to a very very stupid team indeed today, with the hopes of deceiving everyone and getting a huge leg up whilst saving heaps of dosh for probably trading in decent players when all that goes horribly wrong!
It'll probably still end up as a fairly boring starting team though eventually.
Think they all will end up boring Rust, it's the smart move
Better being safe and more boring than going way to risky and completely ruining the season
Guys join 392941 … Avg score 2120 plus….. 2-3 years experience preferred
Feeling confident that I've got the right line up to win it all!
Wondering how miles can be compared to cog. Cog was in a top team, with a top midfeild that helped around him. Miles is going to a side that will get pumped everyweek
Fair, Cogs had three year's of 90+ while Miles has had 3 year's of 89.9+
Cogs is better no doubt, has a higher ceiling and set himself up as a keeper going into last year. But no one thought he'd be a keeper, everyone thought he'd be a safe stepping stone, that's the similarity to Miles. He'll be a safe stepping stone, he just down't have the upside that Cogs has proven he has.
Nonsense. The bloke had a 105 season to his name, there was plenty who had him as M8 planned. To say they both have had 3 90+ seasons sarcastically if extremely silly.
Miles can easily average around the 85-90 mark in which case he is a slow burn and not worth it.
You had me at Pixies. Cheers lads. Great pod
Thanks mate!
Good discussion on the POD Lek & Patch.
So many options this time of year, my brain is mush.
Starting team is taking on the Cox curse – Grundy & Gawn, 🔒. That means less premium across one line.
My dimlema this presents:
Option 1 – Simpson & Yeo?
Option 2 – Witherden & Macrae?
Mixture of each for me:
Yeo & Witherden
Use extra money elsewhere
Cheers PJ. I’m struggling to part with Macrae. If he goes huge again, it’s going to hurt.
Is there any reason that he won't go big again?
Haven’t really read up on how he’s tracking but his hammy injury could possibly slow him down from last season/be of concern
A hammy from last year!? C'mon
Macrae is fine.
Libba
Gotta have Macrae, I've just about convinced myself since the pod that I'm cooked without him. Ownership % will impact my choice
Thanks Lek. Macrae becomes M1. Running Witherden at D3. Geez I can’t wait!
Taking on the Cox Curse – don't say we didn't warn you! Such a huge cash setback as well – I can't see myself going the duo.
As someone with Witherdon and Yeo I'm a bit torn – especially how much I love Macrae – but I reckon Option 1 at this stage
Curse will be broken Patch. I’m leaning to Option 2 but genuinely wavering. Bring on the pre season already.
I should also add that Witherden/ Simpson are my current D3 (have Lloyd & Laird). Yeo was M4. Macrae would become M1.
Witherden and Macrae
Thoughts on armitage 420k mid fwd.
It's either him and Gawn
Or a Devon smith and goldstein
Avoid Armitage. Low ceiling and aging body. Plenty of other options around that price – Higgins, Dahlhaus, Worpell as examples.
Agreed Rivo. Saints players in general are worrying me, even with Roberton in my side.
Do NOT pick Armitage….. Buuurrrnnnnn man
Hannebery is more likely than Armitage to get back to past glories. Aviod him unless he hits surprising supercoach form
Hi community,
I’d just like to throw a few names out into the open and get your opinions on them and what you think they might be able to do in 2019.
Viney, Taranto, Josh J kennedy, Zac williams, Zorko, Crisp.
Cheers community!
I'm just going to say yes or no..
Viney-no
Taranto-no
Jjk- potentially
Williams- yes
Zorko – yes
Crisp – yes if taking kick ins at Collingwood (is he?)
Viney – no
Taranto – potentially
JJK – potentially
Williams – yes
Zorko – no
Crisp – I think Howe takes their kick ins? how much he does determines the answer to that question.
Viney – possibly yes, has been training well
Taranto – no
JJK – More no than yes
Z Williams – yes but there might be better options, such as kick in takers
Zorko – No
Crisp – No (doesn't take kick ins)
Kick ins are taken by Howe and Maynard.
Viney -No
Taranto -Number stack up for a potential breakout but we're not talking 110+ here we're talking 90+
JJK-Will score 200 in round 1 then miss 2 rounds
Williams Yes
Zorko-wait and see, no to start
Crisp-Need to see Pies lineup
if you had to pick one who would you pick out of libber, hall, Hannebery, miles or rocky
Do you have to have any of them
Libba. He’s flying in preseason.
Hall
Miles for mine, although Libba could be a good bet.
Miles or Hall, haven't even considered Rocky, can't imagine he provides too much value
Could andy McGrath take the next step this year? What do you think his role will be?
McGrath will def improve his ave but not enough to make him a keeper and he won't make you enough money to be a viable option IMO. Much better options out there
I reckon this is the right call. A lot of competition for spots in that Essendon midfield and I'm not willing to take a punt. I reckon he'll break out, but will he finish the season as a top eight player? I don't see it at this stage, but I'm willing to be proven wrong!
We dont need him finish top 8 Patch we just want him to make some Yuans.
He's a smart footballer and Brains beats braun
Very probable Harry. if he gets high mid minutes in JLT and does well I'll lock him in
Ultimately a watch preseason option. Started very well in Essendon hit out today with midfield time.
Hi All,
First time poster and listener!!
Looking for some thoughts on the below:
$25,400 in the bank
Def: Lloyd, Sicily, Williams, Roberton, Burgess, Hore (Answerth,McLennan)
Mid: Cripps, Fyfe, Yeo, Martin, Merrett, Constable, Valente, Hayes (O’halloran, Hind, Foley)
Ruc: Grundy, Goldstein (Fort)
Fwd: Danger, Heeney, Dunkley, Greene, Setterfield, Corbett (Cavarra, Moore)
I'm usually a $150k and under rookie selector (provided they're named) and also looking at starting without a loophole if a bottom priced ruck is selected.
Did they fix Robertons Heart?
Apparently they have, yes
Big risk, I wanna see him play 80 minutes in every JLT match before sign him up.
They also reckon that they fixed Kreuzers heart problem but there's no info anywhere as to what that issue was so I'm skeptical that they could have fixed it if they don't know what it was.
Sounds a bit like my Ferrari mechanic "I don't know what the rattle noise was but we fixed it. That'll be $3,500 thanks Mr Phuc".
Yeah right, at $130 an hour a mechanic makes out like a bandit whatever they do to your depreciating shitbox these days lol, back on the Kreuzer issue, I'm kinda glad I haven't decided to go with him now, I forgot about his heart scare, and then I remembered his groin issues and foot issues, and now he's over 30, so is Goldy but at least he's pretty durable.
Lloyd and Sicily is a massive D1+2 combo and I like it. Goldy an astute pick this year I feel.
Welcome aboard mate! Piece of advice is to grab an intensedebate account for the comments, makes it easier to track responses
I think you've nailed you first draft here. Roberton the question mark but I like a team without pods for pods sake.
It's worth mentioning that Greene, Sicily and Merrett have been set-back during pre-season via injury. All (except Sicily) are still not in training
Your team features a lot of sub-premiums (less than 500k Fwd/Def and 575k Mid/Ruck) and few uber-premiums (600k+). Goldstein, Williams, Greene, Martin and Merrett are examples of players who could be fiddled with. I have had all but Goldy in my team, but here's why I changed them.
Dusty – Will likely be played up forward more often, or at an equal rate to this year due to injury risk and midfield depth at Richmond
Goldstein – 30 years old and well past his prime. More likely to decrease in value than increase.
Williams – Never averaged as a premium, people mainly going off hunches. Had entire season off, which rarely helps and often hinders.
Greene and Merrett – Pre-season niggles
I wouldn't avoid high price rookies. They average more than those outside top 10 with more success over 60 "in general". Walsh this yr is a near known rookie that should get you 60+ at most conservative estimate. For me, Walsh, Setterfield, Collins are good selections. Nick Blakey starting to put hand up today and is a watch now.
If we are lucky, we get to fill rookies with cheap options but the odd top 10 draftee is worth the time.
The great ruck dilemma! I think I agree with the many posts that say we will ultimately want to get a Grundy Gawn combo. I also agree that the potential new roles for Melbourne makes Gawn’s opening price look prohibitive.
If you take Goldy, I think you are condemning yourself to never have Gawn. You might end up with the third best Ruck, but possibly not the best combo.
If you take Kreuzer or Longer, you will probably have them as stepping stones to get to Gawn. I think that’s a better option than Goldy.
But there might be a better option again. Play Fort at R2. Many teams are showing him at R3 because it is looking like he might get game time. So the question is R2 or R3. If he plays, will he score more than other on field rookies? If he does, I would prefer that on the field rather than on the bench.
Is it too big a risk to have a rookie R2? Possibly. If do, can you mitigate? Maybe running a DPP like Westhoff or Lycett or Lobb or Vardy in your forward line with Bines at R3 mitigates it, but does it water down your team too much? Westhoff is a chance to be top 6 forward. Lycett and Lobb might be top 20 but not top 6-10. Vardy is a risk but might be a better choice as he might sit as an F7 R3 in a full premo side, whereas Lycett and Lobb are too expensive for F7 R3.
I am definitely contemplating Fort at R2. It’s definitely that time of year. It certainly makes the other lines look stronger!
Not sure how you can explain that people starting gold will not be able to get gawn
It's more difficult than you think huh, there are always more important issues to attend to….than sideways trades, it seems..and you usually need to do 2 trades to make it happen.
The ruck line will be chopped and changed a lot this pre-season and it's painful. I'm still worried by Pruess' impact on Gawn – I reckon they both play
It's pretty obvious at the dees training Pruess will play forward like Cox but the biggest mover at the Dees is Hore. Coaches are mighty impressed with him A ranging beautiful kick he will find it hard to get a gig but Smiley is in my team
Shhhhhh on Fort!
North have the last bye. Perfect time to bring gawn in. Start any other ruckman and you'll still need 2 trades to get gawn in. Imo goldy could close the price gap between himself and gawn
I just saw too that if Fort does start, he first two games are potentially against Grundy and Gawn….
Hi All
First cut prior to preseason form and injuries,
$95,700 in bank
Def: Laird, Witherden, Williams, Burton, Logue, Scrimshaw (Wiliamson, Wigg)
Mid: Cripps, Fyfe, Kelly, Bont, McCluggage, Hanne, Liber, Walsh (Constable, Bewley, Hind)
Ruc: Kreuzer, English, (De Koning)
For: Heeney, J Kennedy, Curnow, Greene, Wright, Rankine (Blakey, Setterfield)
you need to address your ruck situation. You can make a case for leaving one of grundy/gawn out but you definitely need one of them
A lot of brave picks in McCluggage, Curnow and Burton – I'd personally dial one or two of them back but this time of year is where speculation shines
Makes sense to go 4 deep in the backline with these new rules
Agree but also think there's plenty of value there too…gonna be make or break
Agreed, I'm curious to see how the new rule plays out in JLT but won't be going less than 4, even contemplating 5 to bring in another kick-in specialist like Witherden. That will depend on how the rule plays out in practice.
Does anyone know of a site that shows VFL, TAC, SANFL, WAFL, NEAFL supercoach scores from last season?
Great question…I'll tweet the world and get back to you
Thanks big fella
footywire.com.au has comprehensive stats. Not sure if it would help you but sure that it would increase your average by atleast 100 points. If you know how to mine data …. Test your game against us at 392941
I'm in
Thoughts on Webster for 472k? Averaged 103 for the first 12 rounds last year until he went down in Round 13, then didn't look right for the rest of the season. Sneaky POD?
Hmmmmm he could well be a sneaky one – for mine, if I'm spending that much I'd probably want a tried and tested premo, otherwise I might look at a cheaper option. But one to consider, absolutely
I bought him in late last season and he burnt me big time………………………..never again.
Yeah unfortunately..for me!..he's a shit player in a shit team….avoid at all costs….moa foers.
Ok ill get my league code out there before teams max out!! Another hi ranking hopefully top 100 again for the 4th straight year. Believe me couldnt do it without the great teams that have been involved. Great Finnius. Hope to get everyone back
It was one of my strongest leagues Finn From my memory you beat Shake by about 180 in the G/F I finished on top but tradeless Bombed out quick Not this year good luck Finn
It was a great league NDD. My GF score was my best for the year so lucky to get up in that regard.
Aren't you still a bit young to be drinking frothies Finn?…need to change your profile line too mate.

Cracking league Shaker.
Will be great 👍
Count me in shakers
Ill give you 7 Reasons Why.
What are these 7 mythical reasons why Trig..7 Reasons Why…what? 🙂
Why I fell off the pace last year but wont this year
Macrae
Grundy
Whitfield
Dunkley
Brayshaw
Zerrett
Roberton
How many were in the same boat TRIGG Really thinking about Brayshaw Don't think two dees will hurt in the mids
I think he could go premo this year Neil, he showed the signs last year, was only head injuries and silly helmets holding him back the year before.
Yep this year started with who i wanted but missed on last year and built from there.
Ah ok, I wasn't able to obtain Macrae last year, that's something peeps don't realise, if you don't start with a certain player and they go nuts, they remain unaffordable.
I didn't have most of those guys last year either, got Grundy in when I could, had Whitfield to start but got rid of him right before he started improving his scores haha
Its all in first 2 rounds. If your team shapes well you end up well but if you are forced to shuffle your cards in first 2 rounds thats how the season ends.
Had some great games last year Trigg! In hindsight so many things we all could av done differently players we started with, when to pull the trigger on players, ones to get in and ones you just miss out on. Im hoping to just limit that this year!! Good luck 🍀😉
McBasketball is aboard and a seasoned coach. Thanks for invite

Well, apprently Mills just dominated a intraclub match playing right in the guts
Hi Godd, he's totally in my team next year if he can pop that 80 average barrier and get 95 this year.
Ah the Pixies, great intro for this point of the season.
Nice pod Lek and Patch, going back to crazy up my team a bit after that.
I think I stuffed my team beyond repair Hedski, might have to do an autofill…LOL
Who's going to start the 2 big guns in the ruck even though they have the same bye round
Hey Gator, I read an article in the Herald Sun that said right now it's between Fort and Stanley for the Cats, and considering Stanley started out as a fwd he could be more suited down there, hopefully the Cats will give Darcy a go and he does well, if he starts round 1, I might start him R2 and whack another big gun on another line.
Yeah i'm thinking along the same line Russty with Fort,, But would you be game enough to start Grundy and Gawn and them having the same bye round and fork out $1.4 mill and set and forget
I am GAT with SWEET It is a lot of coin but think of the lost points
It's a hard one neil but it's gunna be hard to get either one in down the track and yes the lost points
What do you think of Harmes as a smokey
Depends on price but yes well in
Hey Neil. How are you mate? You seem to know ur Demons well so do you think Preuss may effect Gawns scoring ability?
Absolutely mate, we only need the best 18 scores on the park for that week, and so what if ya only lose one bye round if it doesn't work out?
The rest of the year will work out with the 2 best rucks in you corner..but other lines would obviously suffer…I was set on Kreuzer, but am unsure about that now, and opted for Grundy / Goldy for now.
I was looking at Kruez but the two big G's might have to be the go and the other big G will be third
Hi mate. How have you been? Great to see you still around the site
Hi Holty good to see you back .. Now get stuck into your side and have fun
I don't see Gawn scoring the same as last year. Think he'll still be top 2 ruck, but about 10 points shaved off his ave. So around 115-120. I see Goldy increasing his ave by 5-10, so around 110-115. Ergo, similar output for $150k less. Grundy my clear no1 pick and happy to stump up for him.
Hi Rick JLT will have a huge impact on where the dees see Pruess. The saints and cats would love to have him wouldn.t be dismissing the all aust. no. 1 ruckman just yet NDD
By 2 big guns do you mean Grundy and NicNat?
Looking for cash leagues to join. NO BS please. Cheers community
Hey mate, got a $100 cash league going email [email protected] for details
Hey all. SuperCoach is open. You little beauty. Now to spend the next few months changing my side a couple of hundred times.
Hi Holty, good to see you mate, keep a spot open cause I'll try to slot you in to one of my two leagues, if anyone's not interested but if not I'll start a new one, cheers bud, don't be so bloody late next year lol.
All good mate. Been a hectic few months for me so finally had the opportunity to log on to see how the community is going. Seems all the regulars are back which is great to see.
Hope everything's ok with you mate, yeah the JR Site's looking like it has good attendance again, was dead before SC opened but then fired up, had a few problems with spam and quite a few people not being able to post when they want to but hopefully admin are sorting that stuff out.
The flog factor has reduced this year, and there are some great new posters around the traps with some great info.., if you have any issues posting, email me and I'll let Lek know about it.
Cheers mate. Will probably start my research on the rookies next few weeks as I think I know who I want as my promos. Will probably leave Gawn out if a rookie is playing 1st round as Preuss playing now scares me off Gawn a bit
Good to see you back again Hotly. I have been to many dees training and Pruess is being groomed to be a big cox. I don't think it will dramatically effect Gawn and it may not even work. The new rules will help Brayshaw more than any other demon .I am so tempted to make him M5 instead of Harmes cheers mate NDD
That's why I asked you about Harmes Neil… Just interested on how he's tracking and whether he's worth gambling on
come and have a go at 488616. Last year average was 2100+
Good one.
The ruck debate will continue but a few years back when Gawn went down Pederson Watts and Tom McDonald took over with success. The first two are no longer dees but McDonald is. With the grooming of Weideman as a ruckman progressing. and his undoubted forward talent coupled with the proven relief ruckwork of McDonald I cannot see Pruess taking over from Weideman They are trialing it but really he will be a Casey Ruckman – however Gawn will be rested interstate games Only my observation
What !!!!! Watts is gone !!!! How !!!! When !!!! Why !!!! The number 1 draft pick that's as handy as a hip pocket in a pair of undies…. Ahh I see now why Port got him to take over the no 1 ruck roll after Ryder, Lycett and The Hoff retire
On another one Neil it's great to see Shelley Scott sharing the Captains roll with Daisy…. She's the daughter of one of my mates Peter that I grew up and played footy with….. The little dairy farmer from Gerangamete about 10 minutes south east of Colac who would've ever thunked that hey
Did you see your other mate on the cricket === Hodgey. They reckon he could have made it.Daisy wont play she is having a baby and good luck to Shelley.might get a gig at saints with the other girls
No I didn't see Hodgey.. But he was lightning with the ball.. He'd still trundle around mid to high 130's now… He has such a graceful action and runs in like Michael Holding
I doubt that Preuss would have knocked back offers from 4 or more AFL clubs to play VFL Neil. I know you love Max and want him to be #2 most selected supercoach ruck but it's more likely he'll be 4 or 5.
All the better for me but if the experiment fails then we all get him Goldy and Nank wont be cashcows so why not get the best
Agree with you neil
Seems the trend is picking a bunch of mid price defenders with the expectation that rule changes will bump up their output. What happens if that doesn't pan out?
Iv'e made the same observation Rick … I'm still looking at pure guns down back.. In fact i'm going pure Guns'n' Rooks all over
Yeah Rick seems to be the case. My back premos consist of any of the top 12 from last year who took the most kick ins. I’m even considering Short as well. I think the new kickin rule might benefit him the most. Hurn could be a big winner as well with the new rule
Hard to say who's going to benefit the most on this one Holty… there are so many that play on from the kick in
you will run out of coin though Gator. Its confusing when discussing prems and mid pricers/ Derek said he had 12 but I counted less Triggs version is best up to 250 rookie 500 midprice over that are prem Was cogniglio a prem last year? no — a mid pricer to start. Also I notice people saying I am counting so and so as a prem Rubbish either above 500 and a prem or not Yeo was 499 early doors —a mid pricer So Rick and Gator will you make it with guns n rooks ?
I'm looking at Lloyd, Laird and Whitfield in dec at this stage. 5 x uber premium Mids. Grundy and Goldy. 3 x $500+ forwards. Rest rookies. Have coin to buy a couple of pricier rooks if they look value. Overall happy with 13 definite keepers and few question marks.
I think Keepers instead of Guns.
Witho is a keeper in my opinion, someone you expect to start and finish the year with.
Everyone else is a cash cow.
ZWilliams is a keeper. He isn’t a cash cow, not cheap enough.
Green is a keeper if he starts
Kruzer I’m not sure about
What price do you consider a mid price defender to be?
Witherden would be prime example. Mid priced to average 85. Could go to 100 average this year, maybe. But it's a punt and you might be stuck with mid priced output.
Thats a bit harsh on Alex Rick he's only played 30 games and has a career ave of 16 kicks p/game. I'll be picking him before Laird who's best season ave for kicks is also 16 (2018) but a career ave of only 10.5.
Third year breakout for Alex. Laird increased his ave by 34 in his 3rd year Witherden could do the same just by playing on at every kick-in.
Yeah I don't know about that as fatty said it's withers 3rd year. To have an 85 avg that early on is pretty good. Doesn't need to do too much more to get into the top 6 spot
I agree Rick. That to me is a risky business. For me, it is simply keeping the rule changes in mind, and yet still selecting players purely on merit. If you are down to 2-3 players who you are tossing up over to fill a spot and one of those 3 has the most to benefit from a rule change, then perhaps then do you take that into consideration and select that player who gets most benefit. By wildly selecting mid pricers solely because they could benefit from rule changes is absolute madness. Cheers Rick.
Thinking Blakely, Witherden and Williams are the 3 mid pricers to consider
Wiiliams and newman value there
Remember a guy kicking in is only as good as they players he has to kick to….Look for the clubs with great ruckmen to kick it to. Howe & Hibberd are 2 nobody seems to talk about
Hibberd hardly took a kick in last year
G day community! My first post for 2019 and I want to throw a challenge out.
The challenge is this: "Which 10 premo defenders ($450K ) have a history of doing a large bulk of the kick ins (After a behind) WHICH DO NOT kick it to themselves but simply kick it out directly."
One such defender which comes to mind is Luke Ryan. He does a lot of kicking in without kicking it to himself and playing on. Can we find the other 9 and rank them in order with #1 being the premo defender who never or rarely kicks it to himself first but yet takes a lot of kick ins. (Direct)
Lets see who we can come up with. Cheers community!
Lloyd Hurn Short and Witherden are the most prolific with the kickin duties. What surprised me more was Hurn kicked in 61% of the time
Was taking a look at who had the kick in duties last year and hurn took a blody big chunk of them (151) and 41% of those he kicked to himself. That alone put him into my first drafted side
Crisp and Salem rarely but lewis does
Glad to see you back in hawk!
Thanks Shake. I feel like a 2019 SC "A" game. Bring it on!
Gray vs Dunkley. What are the pros and cons of both and who is more likely to do better.
Cheers community
Hey Richard, It's all role for those two. Both shown they can tear it up if given midfield time and will be ones to monitor in regards to where their respective coaches play them. Gray is likely to do better if both given the midfield role but dunkley has shown great scoring ability averaging 115.7 from round 15 onwards last year and is in my team right now + may be a bit of a pod

Any love for jack Steele?
Upside
– he is 23 -he will play in the guts and only the guts -averaged a massive 111.7 in his last 9 games – possesses from my quick research most of the statistics in Jocks “next supercoach beast” except for disposals but his tackling makes up for those points – $515k
Downside
– was used in a tagging role a couple of times which generally isn’t supercoach friendly but actually helped him I believe because he got more tackles – had a poor start to the year
no plays for saints who are poorly coached anything can happen down there
Hadnt considered him xman but those last 9 game stats are impressive. Wait and see prospect I think, especially being a Saint.
Nice point-out Xman
2017 he ave 90.5 for 1st 7-games (only 2x Sub-80) and 95 over last 7-games
2018 he ave 82.7 for 1st 7-games (4x sub-80) and 117 over last 7-games
Not on my starting team radar because he costs 512k and might drop by 50-100k early but, he averages 7.5 tackles a game at the saints as a tagger so as long as the saints continue their abstract midfield strategy of losing clearances he could be worth a look after the byes.
Will be an interesting one to watch early. If he plays a proper MID role then could be a decent POD
He is on my watch list Xman. I have always been big on him and have mentioned him on several occasions. A tackling machine who gets plenty of the contested ball. Problem is, I don’t trust the Saints. He was dropped last year after he was leading the Saints tackling and won more contested ball then any other Saint. I think it has something to do with his engine as he spends a lot of time on the bench. I’ll watch him in the JLT but I guess that doesn’t mean a lot as he smashed out a 170 sc points against Sydney and then started the proper season with more of a run with role. It sucked me in last year as I started him
I believe he finished top 10 in the 3k a couple of weeks back and he’s tracking well. Again it’s gonna be the question if it’s worth the risk, could have a similar average to this year or he could explode.
I think if he was 400k he would be worth the risk but at his price, you would be hoping for him to be a keeper
Phantom rates him I believe
Welcome back to the new years ladies and gents. Iv finally had my first look at supercoach for the year and there are some tantalising prospects.
Question for @trig. Any chance your making trigs happy place again this year? Would love the chance to defend my title from last year againa you blokes. Cheers
welcome back Kyle That was an epic win for the tradies Moustaccio has been one of if not the best Jr coach with apologies to addicts,.2679 was a massive total . I for one want to take your title See you in the HAPPY PLACE I hope NDD
Cheers mate! Had one of those years where everything sorta just fell in to place haha
Came out of the byes like a man posessed averaging over 2500 to years end!
Might have to rethink Gawn Melbourne just trialled Gawn as a forward with Pruess rucking Both starred with Gawn's marking a highlight. Took a ripper over Frost. They are tinkering with a forward line of Joel Smith McDonald Weideman and Gawn with Pruess now rucking enough for me, you guys appear to be right , welcome Goldy NDD
Do you watch all of their training?
Yes and for those that have him Tracca went off with a lower leg maybe an ankle all hush hush no one talking about it Looked bad and was heavily strapped Give him a miss
So you think Gawn is not a good pick then? If that is the case I might go Martin, Goldy
Turned me off but it's only trials. Might look at Fort or Sweet for cash flow and get Lloyd in NDD
