The Standing Room – Round 1 Chat
G’day Community,
Only two days in and I already feel like I need a stiff drink.
Had Kreuzer and Lambert…Kreuz concerns me, Lambert not so much. He was a spud for a half but still got over 70, his points will come.
The big one is Zerrett, what a nightmare that is for coaches. Any doctors out there? Medical or psychological? Patch needs some help.
Alright, here’s what I want to talk about
- Injuries, what’s your backup plan?
- Last minute changes, you making any?
- VC/C if you didn’t go Dusty or Cripps, who you got? (I’m going Fyfe into a Geelong/Melbourne player I reckon)
- Anyone going to any games this weekend, let’s fill a bay and yell Tony Olango’s name on repeat
Lot’s of love, Lekdog
I have Zerrett and Danger. Do I bring someone in for Danger and then burn a trade by trading Zerrett to Danger next week? All of a sudden my pod Zerrett seems Ike a bad idea.
Is Zerrett going to be out next week? I don’t like the idea of burning a trade this early on, unless Zerrett is going to miss 2+ weeks
was thinking he's had multiple concussions already, might be the start of a worrying trend
Word from the club is he is very unlikely to be risked in Perth next week. Wait till Thursday.
Where'd you hear that from?
Not a great POD. More than 10% ownership in the first place
i think patch should make a new team before 3rd game starts… no cripps, martin has kreuzer. rip
Thoughts on downgrading Danger to Armitage then when Zerrett drops go from Armo to Zerrett? (plan to bring back danger asap)
VC on T.Mitchell, C on either Bont or Kelly
I tried something similar a couple of years ago. Found myself short of trades And missing points. Don’t do it.
A truly horrible idea. DO NOT DO IT!
Don’t like Danger to Armo. Too big a drop off. I like the logic of using a mid pricer to get a cheap Zerret, but is there another way you can do it?
How cheap will Zerret get? lets say he comes out and averages 110 for the next 4 weeks..
Not 100% on the maths and breakevens; but I’d assume he could go down past 500k
Shouldn't go down too much if his next two scores are big, the 19 will only be in his price calculations for 1 week as it's a 3 round rolling average .
That's not even close – because it was in round 1, like Anon says, it only counts in his rolling average for one price change.
For him to get under 500k, he'd have to put out three consecutive 70s to dip under 500k. Most likely, he returns and puts up two 100s, and he would then be around 545k.
and I doubt anyone would be able to afford him at round 3 so he likely goes back up in price.
I’m not good at quick mafs
Round 1 score is only in 1 price movement. It's not going to make him crash in price at all. Second score of the season is far more important
Armo is starting to prove me wrong
Need some help!
Pick 2 of these guys
Fritsch
Ryan
Stephenson
Venables
Cheers
Fritisch Ryan
Fritsch and Ryan for me. Going by JLT form Fritsch well do ok and will be a big cash cow at low price. Ryan was ok at JLT showed a promising sign, good for bench cover.
Can someone call me crazy for considering Mason Cox as a Krooz cover? My options are:
1. Olango to English; losing loophole option. Keep Bundy and Greene up forward
2. Olango to Hayes (DPP and loop option). Then go Bundy to Cox, Greene down to Billings (need to do it to free up cap space)
Thoughts? Krooz has me in a pickle already
I’d go English before Cox, $300k is expensive bench cover.
Cox would be F5 over Christensen, and cover Krooz for a week or 2
If you've got 50k in your bank I'd consider Olango & Bundy out for English & Cox. Plenty of DPP flexibility & both might keep playing. Having said that I can't see either English or Cox being good scorers. The top 13 rucks last year Av 18 games each. So the cover could be useful down the track as well
I’d have to drop a Mitchell to kelly or Pendles to Parker to fit Cox and English. I like my mid structure though. Tough calls to be made
I also think cox has much better scoring potential than english
Initially had Barlow ,but not sure who to pick now between Menegola,McLean, Billings or Mundy as a POD, already have Knob Head,Smith and Tracca
For me the best option there is Billings, jumped from an avg of 74.9 in 2016 to an avg of 92.7 in 2017. Looks to be on an upward trend and should get a decent amount of midfield minutes.
I always start Zerritt but this year went Oliver instead. Happy with that choice at the moment. Also have Kreuz and Danger. Both have surprising low ownership so I don’t want to give up potential no 1s who are pods too soon. Will give Danger 3 weeks. Anyone heard how bad Kreuz is?
Are Walters and Sicily the real deal? Feel like traps
Could both be but you never know with speculative picks, Walters can go big and will be more in the midfield, Sicily finished strong last year but can be over-emotional and a bit floggy.
Sicily scored well last night. I picked Roughy instead. 🙁
Sicily had 5 clangers and still scored 125 thanks to his 84 DE%. If you don't have him now you got to get him in before his price rise. Looks like a top 6 defender to me.
They will both be inconsistent.
giles langdon or keep keeffe and wait till he plays?
Keep Keeffe in your Back if you have Sicili in your FWD. Will be handy once you start upgrading/downgrading rookies to premos.
Unused rookies or low cost players are wasted right now need to be making cash in as many areas as possible
Good advice nba
Don't have sicily, and keeffe is my fwd bench, should i go giles jangdon or keeffe at F7
Yeah do it mate, no point having Keefe if you don't have Siciflog.
You can always use Keeffe as a downgrade target when he finally gets selected. No need to start him if he's not playing.
As a rule never select a rookie who isnt named round 1, no matter who it is.
Final adjustments guys
Dom Barry
LDU
Hunter Clark
Just need one????
Barry. Pocket the cash
What I was leaning towards cheers mate
Gray comes back in next week. Good chance Barry will be dropped.
Different role
Reckon Motlop might take his role. Gray forward more.
Barry
L.Ryan or B Fritsch on field?
Fritsch
Fritsch
Having trouble working out one more rookie Forward position to play on field.
Have Fritsch, Giles-Langdon and Ryan, but now need to pick one of Stephenson, Bell, Rayner, am I missing anyone else? Thoughts guys?
Cheers
The rest of the team looks like this too for this Round (if there are any other suggestions):
Def: Laird, Hibberd, Lloyd, Bonner, Doedee, Murray (Naughton, Finlayson)
Mid: Dusty, Kelly, Fyfe, TMitchell, Coniglio, Kelly, Brayshaw, Holman (Banfield, Barry, Garlett)
Ruck: Martin, Gawn (King)
Fwd: Heeney, Billings, McLean, Smith, Bell*, Fritsch (Ryan, Langdon)
Venables
Think he could score ok on-field most weeks?
Should I get rid of either Hunter Clark or Barry for O'connor? Thinking of a potential mid/def swing with finlayson
I would keep Barry and bring in O'Connor for the swing. Hunter is an expensive rookie and I haven't seen enough to suggest he's worth the risk.
Gawn to captain take the risk. Had dusty as vice and all my rookies playing. Not trading one out to double 139. 150+ yeah maybe. Gawn's your man get on him.
Crazy not to take a garunteed 130 everytime
he cant
Get in someone like Ahern who should get games at NM.
Just bring in Mitchell King @r3
Take Dustys score
Hi community,
I have 1 forward spot to fill. Have Heaney and Billings.
Can't decided between Buddy, Greene or a midpricer.
Thanks in advance for any advice
Buddy in a good side mate. Greenes good but the grass is greener and not as likely to be removed by the umpires during the year.
Greene is a star and a flog, just got to hope the flog in him is gone.
Greene had no preseasons
Scored 56 from 48% TOG in JLT2.
Dangerfield down to 22% teams. It's going to be an interesting season.
19.5% now … dropping fast.
Parker and Mclean (20k left) or Heeney and Libba (65k left)?
Parker, McLean
Keeffe or O Connor?
Keefe not playing
Yeah I know, just as a D8
Are there any cats fans out there that may have any insight as to O'Connor's job security?
I'm so tempted by Fogarty's scoring potential with his tackling pressure but JS is a problem
He's a last minute upgrade from the rookie list so the signs are there. He's 191cm and 87kg and at 21 yrs old seems like a very good inclusion. His tackling and accurate kicking will (hopefully) see him stay the distance. Last years 2 games weren't flash but it was his first season and coming from a different format of the game you'd expect him to take some time to adapt.
"In early 2017, O’Connor was upgraded to Geelong’s senior list. Mark’s form in the VFL was highly promising as he displayed great improvement in his newly adopted game. His running in through the midfield as well as disposal was a large factor of his elevation. Mark debuted for the AFL side against Essendon. After finishing the year with 2 senior appearances, Mark’s progress has been excellent and he will now look towards the 2018 season where he hopes to make further contributions." .. found at http://tlaworldwide.com/talent/mark-oconnor-2/
Did nothing last year. Scored 28 and 35 in his two games. Geelong have too much depth for him to be a regular. The likes of Danger, Henderson, Scooter Selwood, Murdoch, Cockatoo, McCarthy, Buzza, Crameri all gonna be rotating through the team at some point.
BB what rookie would you be taking in the midfield then?
I've already got Brayshaw, Banfield, Holman, Barry, Kelly and Finlayson down back
I had Garlett in there. Could always swing Finlayson into the mids and grab Naughton if you don't have him. Otherwise Clark/LDU is an option.
Yeah I think I may go Clark and then if Garlett seems worth a corrective trade pre-Round 3 than I'll trade Clark down.
Henderson the only defensive player out of those you mentioned. So much talent still to be included in the Cats lineup, looking good!
D.Barry or N.Holman with the E. Will loophole Danger if the E scores big. Will swap T.Kelly out for Danger
I like Holman
Agreed. His js is better imo
Holman big tackler. Playing in wet today.
Holman
I'm thinking Banfield plays first so i'm putting the E on him and Holman and Brayshaw on field. If Banfield scores well will leave Dangerfield on the field. If not, will put Kelly on field. In your case, Barry plays first so I would put the E on him.
Need to replace Keefe and Coffield in defence
Who do I pick?
I already have Doedee, Naughton and Murray
Finlayson definately. Hard to suggest anyone else as not sure on their js.
Thanks guys. I picked both those guys up
Just finny left. Could go to Bonner atv$260kish. Or could keep keefe as loopholes/swingset for sic if you have him
Team is
D Laird, Hibberd, Savage, Bonner, Naughton, Doedee – Finlayson, Murray
M Martin, Mitchell, Zorko, Fyfe, Cripps, Coniglio, A Brayshaw, T Kelly – Banfield, Barry, Holman
R Gawn, Nankervis, Olango
F Franklin, Roughead, D Smith, Deledio, Fogarty, L Ryan – Fritsch, Keeffe
Brought in Deledio and Bonner for Barlow and Coffield Perhaps it's a shark move – perhaps I'm just Deledusional.
Happy with all my team that have played so far. Unlike my AFL Fantasy team where I put the C on Zerrett!
Which option?
1. Naughton, Billings, Venebles & 108k in bank
or
2. Naughton, Petracca, Christensen & 40k in bank or
3. Billings, Christensen, Venables & 7k in bank
1. Fo sho
1. No brainer
Bonner, Billings, fwd rookie (or MacPherson)
Which two rookies to field in the mid out of Brawshaw, Holeman, Kelly and Banfield
Brayshaw and Holman/Banfield, I'd keep Kelly benched
Worth swapping Keeffe for O’Connor? Or keep him to keep that switch with Sicily
You need your rooks to be playing R1. Can probably get Keeffe as a downgrade target later.
Yeah, JS is everything
Fairo, just means I can’t loop Sam Murray using keeffe
Kelly, Bont, Zorko or Pendles? Have Kelly but named in forward line so concerned he might spend a bit of time there
I'd go Kelly or Zorko but less so with the other 2
Wasted my VC on Kreuzer l, who….. yeah
I’m going for a bit of a POD with Zorko captain this week, I mean what do I have to lose. Last year I was coming 50,000 at R2 and came back for a spot at 3,000 at R22 (I’m trying to block r23 out of my head)
Stef Martin always plays well against St Kilda, I'd back him in for a monster number or HOA's, which should benefit Zorko.
I really hope you didn't go through with this.
I did along with Merret and krezuer. Also started danger 🤦🏻♂️
3 options here guys for F5: 300k In kitty..
1.Upgrade Langdon/venables/fritsch to Sicily??
2. goldy to nicnat so I can afford tracca (viney out for 8wks)
3. Bank it for the rnd 3 bubble just Play two forward rookies fritsch & one of venables/ZGL
This is doing my head in 🙁
3. Bank it . Cash generate from rooks
Am thinking of swapping Danger for coniglio, keeping the cash and hopefully bringing danger back by round 5-6. Should see a nice rise in price by cogs and let me assess how danger is tracking before spending 745k, allowing for a price drop or if he's killing it bring him straight back in. Would love some thoughts on this as I'm still unsure.
I’m considering doing the same Aaz, either that or down to Parker and hoping he averages 110 as a fallen premo
Love it man. Cogs will score well
Cheers lads, locked and loaded coniglio, hopefully he has a big one
Do I take
1. Parker as a premo
2. Coniglio (premo if does well, step up to danger if flops)
Parker. Proven and JLT was superb
Parker
I'm going with 2 Chewy for that same reason, win win situation really
Been a boring start for me so far. 2 games down and only had 2 players on field. Guess the positive is they are Cripps and Doedee who i was very impressed with in his first game. Looking forward to the rest of the round to see how my side shapes up.
Ablett came out and said he's going to play as a pure midfielder, rather than a mid-fwd. Little bit worried for my Duncan pod
For season or just round 1 Sloane?
The season. BHJ said it was the first conversation he had with Chris Scott. To paraphrase, 'I'll be playing midfield, the rumours of me being a mid forward are a bit wide of the mark. I know I'm 33, but I've still got a lot left in the legs. Get me in there.'
*not exact quote
Hmm this makes things interesting I have been tempted by him all pre season thinkin his a mid-fwd now even more so as a pure mid.. but I’d have to lose kelly or Mitchell in the guts. I can see Duncan Selwood n danger all helping with points not stealing them like ppl say. Thoughts?
They are all beasts, and will still all score well. Duncan didn't go below 90 after round 7, and 100 after round 15. We all know Danger and Ablett are the two best Supercoach scorers of the last decade.
Duncan plays well off a wing, but where he is real damaging is as a run-with player getting clearances out of the square. Of course a run-with player is still handy on the wing, but with the decrease in midfield time we could see Duncans score drop by 5 points a game, taking him out of the top 10 mids.
The benefit of Duncan though is that GAJ is such a good quarterback, and Duncan could really be targeted as an outside runner alongside him. We also have to consider that last year Scooter, Blicavs, Guthrie and Menegola all spent time running through the guts and Duncan was still a linchpin in there. Having said that, if GAJ really is playing as a pure midfielder, we will see a lot of centre bounces with the big 3. GAJ will have a massive year IMO, but I'm not picking him because it's a lot to pay for such an injury prone player.
I'm still going to run with Duncan, as the wing is still one of his preferred positions. But I may be forced to do a corrective early if it looks like he's going to be missing out.
He's not playing all season in the midfield. He's 33 & now as injury prone as they come. He's past being that player. When he plays forward he's a menacing headache for any team. He will split his time between the two. That is when he plays
My thoughts as well Itchy Nuts. Imagine how damaging their line up will be this year, when Selwood, Duncan and Guthrie are in the guts, Menegola on a flank, Gaz in the pocket and Hawkins and Dangerfield as side by side Full Forwards. My mouth is salivating
Selwood is well n truly priced at unders. Juicy prospect but so much value around that price already makes it tough
Of course he's got lots left in the tank, he stopped playing full-on at GC after his injury a couple years ago.
Who’s going Lobb over Sicily? I know I am
Has Lobb started his preseason yet?
lol I can't go near him.
I’m taking the risk
tossing up two options
1. sicily and heeney
2. savage and mclean
at the moment going with option one but could easily do a panic trade before kickoff
Is Oliver still a good pick or should we look to make hm an upgrade target due to the injury cloud?
another preseason increasing his tank & Gawn rapping down his throat this season. Cant go wrong. It was a slight knock its nothing
gun.
I’m starting to move back to the idea of starting with Dangerfield this week.
5 mins before Thursday’s game I traded Danger to Dusty, with the idea of keeping $100k in bank to trade Dusty back to Danger in round 2 or 3.
I had already decided I couldn’t have both Danger and Dusty because of my Round 14 bye problem. I have Fyfe, Parker, Heeney, Laird, Mills & Billings with R14 bye.
It is obvious if this was later in year you wouldn’t waste 2 trades to trade him out and back for missing one week, but it is only a 1 trade cost.
What is 1 trade worth? More than 60-70 points, the diff between a decent rookie score and a Danger replacement score. And that is all it will be as I was planning to hold the cash. Now if you were to spend the extra $100k that creates more calculations, on what points will that extra spend get you, maybe another 20-30 points, but then next week I wake up and I find there is $100k missing from my wallet, can’t get Danger.
Looking at the comments here and elsewhere, it seems the elite players are all keeping Danger, they can see the future and know it is a long way to the finish line and having Danger is vital.
Pay the Price.
So I’m starting Danger and also have Dusty and a heap of other r14 bye players. To balance the team, one has to go.
But Who? I have $66k to spend.
Mills was my first thought, I have a bias towards him as my son played a lot of footy with him, but I don’t have cash to upgrade much.
Billings is my second choice, but buddy and Menagola both r14 byes.
What about RGray? If it’s ok to start with Danger, Why not Gray?
As you can see my head is spinning and I’m sure there are others having the same thoughts, love to hear what people think.
I think the main concern with Gray is that he'll need to be replaced by a bench rookie twice before the byes. I think it'd be okay if we had some decent forward rookies but there's every chance someone like a Ryan or Giles-Langdon could average 40.
I'd be leaning more towards Wingard or Dixon if you were to go a Port forward
Don’t like any other Port Forwards.
Gray wasn’t high on my list, I was just looking at upgrade possibilities
I did think about Billings to Hogan and Mills to Hibberd.
Derek, I actually like your strategy of switching Danger to Dusty (I think we need to start at least one of them). If you also have Mitchell you could try your luck without Dangerfield and re-assess in a few weeks (would help your bye situation). I didn't make the switch so feel I need to hold Danger as I don't want to be chasing both of them during the season.
All the elite players are going for rank so will trade Danger for another uber but leave cash available to trade him in as soon as he returns.
Not sure about that. A trade is worth more than 60 pts
Say you trade in TMitch or Ablett for Danger and you chuck the VC / C on him and he scores 150-160 which obviously doubles, then it becomes a good option.
If I was to go without Danger, TMitch would be my selection. That was original plan, and then to trade Dusty back to Danger.
I like it, I have a similar plan.
Team is
Laird, Shaw, Mills, Doedee, Murray, Finlayson, (O’Connor, Murphy)
Dangerfield, Dusty, Fyfe, Oliver, Kelly, Parker, Banfield, Holman (Garlett, Barry, Kelly)
Gawn, Lycett (Olango)
Heeney, Billing’s, Devon, Petracca, Lobb, Venables (Fritsch, Ryan)
$65k
(No Cyril)
Lloyd named on a wing. Mighty tempting to start him over hibberd at D2. Thoughts? Defence is where to take the risks this season
Where they get named doesn’t mean anything.
For me, defence is the place where I'm not going too risky. The forward line is so hard to pick the top 8, that any pick outside of buddy or Heeney is basically a risky pick. Therefore my plan is to lock down a big chunk of my backline, with Hurley, Laird, Hibberd and Savage all in my starting team.
I would pick Hibberd over Lloyd, Hibberd is the general down back whereas Lloyd will get impacted heavily with McVeigh in the team. Check out Lloyd's scores with and without McVeigh. However, Lloyd still represents value and is likely to finish in top 8 defenders.
Go with your gut I guess
Valid points!
Have posted my side in the comments Sloane. Would love to hear ya 2 bobs worth. Got a huge kitty to play with
I really like it mate! If Libba and Coniglio are locked in, I would probably use the war chest to upgrade Bonner to a premo who you think will end the year in the top 8. Who you think that will be is up to you
We only have 30 trades, and while there is a lot of value to be had, you can't rely purely on value picks and you still want to get as close to your round 23 team as you possibly can. Trades are golden
Thanks mate.
I have been flirting with bonner to savage or sicily for a stronger D3 or venables to sicily at f5. Probably can’t go to wrong with either. Should save me a trade down the track like you mentioned they are priceless.
Should I put Naughton on bench and get Riley bonner or keep naugton on field and get O'Connor Geelong
Sicily or lobb at f5?
Upgrading either Langdon or venables to one.
Had the VC on dusty, will be keeping the C on danger. Taking the hit this week as I already had to change my structure a little to accommodate the higher priced rookies, and not sold on the job security of some of the rookies named round 1.
Def: laird hibberd bonner naughton finlayson Murray (doedee murphy)
Mid: danger Mitchell kelly Fyfe coniglio Libba brayshaw Holman (kelly barry banfied)
Ruck: goldy gawn (olango)
Fwd: heeney lambert McLean smith Langdon fritsch (venables Garlett)
A huge war chest of 308k! Where can I use most of it?
Libba And coniglio are locked in so not on them thanks
Maybe my f5 or d4? Throw some ideas n players my way guys.
Have a look at Lobb for F5
You believe lobb will outscore a sicily or petracca?
Have a quick look at GWS draw and who Lobb is up against. Except for Sandi in round 4, but he will score well around ground, he has chance to start very well and get some good match fitness and decent scores.
I have Petracca at F4 and Lobb F5
I would go Petracca ahead of Lobb
How does the community feel about Tim English? Low scoring potential but could worth it for ruck cover.
Tempting but his got a low scoring potential. I like having the loophole of olango (& banking 30k) with all my other rookies playing though. Probably a lot of ppl in this boat. Just depend on what suits your structure and game plan.
I’m really surprised he is playing. Dogs have Roughie, Campbell, Schat, Boyd and Tregrove all ahead of him.
He must have really improved over the pre season
Did he play any JLT?
Lobb or McLean?
McLean seems expensive to me. I think he will do ok, if he gets more midfield time he will do a bit better than his price.
Lobb seems a bargain if he will be #1 ruck
Luke Ryan, Sicily or mills?
Ryan
Are any of the expensive rookies worth it?
How many are people starting with.
I have None.
I did have Naughton until O’Conner was named.
So far Dow and Fogarty have been underwhelming.
Right now there are just enough cheap rookies to fill the rookie places.
BVC article was outstanding plus the piece in the second JR magazine on Cash Generation taking about how cheap rookies make more cash, make me keep away.
The only one I have is Brayshaw. He could possibly avg 80-85 and be worth $400,000 in no time.
I only have Naughton currently because I am only 2 defenders deep in the backline. I like Brayshaw but he just costs a lot of money so I will likely pass.
Unfortunately I didn’t see Brayshaw play in JLT. Do not sure what he can do.
I saw Naughton play, he is a tall key defender! Played ok but he will be a very slow burn.
Brayshaw's much better than Naughton I reckon, he already looks the full package..can do it all.
o’Conner is out with ankle injury
Bugger!…I'm gonna hang onto him anyway, good for the swing.
Only have Naughton Derek. Agree, slow burn, but good job security and looks like a decent intercept mark.
Don't have him but am very interested to watch LDU despite his crap JLT. Terry Wallace reckons he was a cut above all in the last draft. Think I might have just enough cash to get him as a corrective trade if he lives up to the hype.
Not many people picking Walters from Freo, am I missing something?
I can’t trust Rossco
Can't be certain as to how much midfield time he'll get. Is a big risk big reward selection.
Petracca or Sicily?!
Have a look at Melb draw. Quite SC friendly.
Viney won’t be playing for a while. Lewis will be playing in defence this year.
There is room in guts for Petracca and he has Max tapping it down.
Sicily will have some great games and some very poor ones. It will depend on the opponent making him accountable. If he is forced to man up he will score 30’s because he isn’t a natural defender. He wants the easy intercepts and long kicks. Too risky for me, but as a hawks fan I want him to do well.
Petracca, his style and impact = big points.
Petracca it is. Upgrade fritsch Langdon or venables? I like venables JS but guts saying him
I like Venables a lot. Will put him on field
Decided to come ask the community for some advice before I do something stupid to my team. First time I have gone set and forget in the ruck and I doubt I will do it again.
D: Laird, Ryan, Naughton, Murray, Doedee, Finlayson (Murphy, O'Connor)
M: Martin(VC), Titch, Kelly, Oliver, Zerret, Fyfe, Holman, Ahern(C) (Banfield, Kelly, Barry)
R: Kreuzer, Gawn (English)
F: Heeney, Billings, Smith, Sicily, Lobb, Fritsch (Ryan, Venables)
$44k in the bank
Not the greatest start with both Zerret and Kreuzer going down leaving me with half my hair pulled out. Should I be looking to keep them, trade them or do something else. Going Zerret to Danger is a move I have been considering however with limited money in the bank it would require some shuffling.
Wake me up from this nightmare community
Could trade English down to Olango and see who you can get for O'Connor?
yeah but then if Kreuzer only misses 1-2 weeks I am screwed as I will have no cover.
I was looking at Luke ryan to Cox leaving me with a lot of cash to go Zerret to Danger next week.
Now with having so many rookies who are not playing and barely any options I am unsure.
Could also just leave O'Connor and hope he plays?
I could but I don't feel comfortable with both Ahern and O'Connor who could end up as donuts. Might need to find a way to fork out the cash for Brayshaw but nothing seems great to me.
Can't make up my mind on the Kreuzer conundrum.
Do I wait for next week and assess, possibly trade him out or bring in Flynn (DPP) for Olango and slot Cox into f5 for Bundy to provide cover?
I kind of like the idea of being able to cover Kreuz/Gawn if they miss a week instead of sideways trading them, Kreuzer looked like going big before the injury, can't find any news yet on how bad it is.
I have the cash to make the move and still have $100k change.
Yeah I am stuck with the same dilemma. If I trade Ryan to Cox via Sicily I have cover for my ruck and I have enough cash so I can upgrade Zerret to Danger next week.
A really tough choice
Hey Hed, I reckon do that..Coxy could turn out to be ok, Christensen could reinjure his shoulder anytime, then you can wait on Kruez and hope he's ok within 2.
Agree Russty wait but I would give PEDERSON a lot of thought J S will be good for 8 weeks. I traded Kruz for Nank minutes to go . have a dead set Guns n Rookies set up best 2 def best 6 mids cept martin gawn/ nank and two best forwards p only two midpricers flog SICILY and LAMBERT but MY 16 rookies need to make 200 each will take time
Hey Neil yeah Cam will do well without T-Mac taking points, I had him last year and he turned out to be a nice pod. I'm a bit more midpriced madness than you in my squad, I have about 6 of the buggers…no risk, no reward hah.
Could go English at R3 as cover. Put your loop on another line.
Cheers guys, think I will go with the Flynn/Cox plan, if Kreuz is more long term I can trade him to Ryder and have coverage for his bye.
I'm going the Cox route. Figure we need to make the most of the unlimited trades and save a trade on kruze of you also have Merritt. Gives an easy route to danger for those of us that took him out.
Cox is a burn man…i'd evaluate the extent of Kreuzers injury…plenty of good options if you don't want to take the risk (Goldy, Witts, Martin, etc). Just using a valuable trade you might need later on
