Just need no injuries this week so I can satisfy a long lasting desire of mine and trade Nank out of my forward line after the weekend.
The Supercoach gods will probably hit me with multiple injuries though given the last few weeks.

    LEKD0G · 26/07/2017 at 17:54

Nank will never leave your side my son, at first we thought he was a gift but before long he became a curse…

    Daryl · 27/07/2017 at 13:10

I can't understand the rush to flush the Nank. If you trade so that he becomes your F7 and swings via Strnd to the Ruck when necessary then he becomes a valuable commodity and a trade saver.

GloryDays90 · 26/07/2017 at 15:32

Im actually considering De Goey. Could be a good POD with Pendles out!

    Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 17:14

Got burnt by him last year.

      LEKD0G · 26/07/2017 at 17:54

Last year is not this year

      -Lekdog 2017

        Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 20:21

        Wise words.

          INPieman · 26/07/2017 at 20:34

Opposition coach vs Pies at selection. Right who do we put work into….Pendles….not playing. Right who's next. Treloar. Nah he's going to kick it our players or at worst out on the full. Adams. Same. Any other decent Pies players? Degoey. Kicked 4 last week & won the game. Right. Let's put someone on him then & make sure that doesn't happen again

            No one · 26/07/2017 at 20:58

I think you'd be welcome at Carlton UNPieman as "they're the team that never let's you down." Collingwood's song has the line "side by side we stick together" which you haven't been able to identify with. You're constant devisive comments are extremely annoying to those of us who actually admire Bucks, Adams, Treloar, Eddie, Collingwood Football Club etc.

              Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 21:31

At some point you've gotta be able to have a dig at your own team's players, especially when u believe they are capable of a lot more.

                Russty_ · 26/07/2017 at 21:41

Agree Smokin, I love my Saints, but they've been sporadic, pathetic, brilliant and completely crap this year, I hoped for so much more but they've failed to deliver yet again after all the hype and hope.
No one, you need to let people have their own opinions without berating them for it. It's a free forum.

              Randomcliche2 · 26/07/2017 at 21:46

Said 'No one' ever… get a profile bro if you want to go the man….

                Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 22:28

Yep I'm not sure why there's people having a cracking at pieman anyway just shares his opinions like anyone else. Blind supporters are the worst anyway constantly yelling ball with every tackle laid lol……

                No one · 27/07/2017 at 19:22

"Go the man"? That's a tad ironic. UNPieman's attack on Buck's is relentless,

                  Randomcliche2 · 28/07/2017 at 22:38

The bloke took a gf team and dismantled both the structure and culture. It's possible not to do that, just ask Chris Scott. If you would prefer to lay blame elsewhere do so. Just remeber to compare his good attributes and actions with that of grand final quality team, as that's what he started with.

              INPieman · 26/07/2017 at 21:49

You admire bucks no one? He took a young premiership team to the bottom parts of the ladder. I'm not sure your familiar with the terminology of direction & achievement. Mount a case for me if you can? I'd love to read it

                Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 22:37

Blind Loyalty is a fallacy, for the nobodies…..

                No one · 27/07/2017 at 19:18

I hope you take the job when he finishes UNPieman,. We'll clearly win a plethora of flags under your stewardship.

                No one · 27/07/2017 at 19:56

In Buck's defence, the instability of the football department since he's taken over from Mick has stifled his tenure. In 2010 Mick had solid assistant coaches including Bucks, Brad Scott, Scott Watters and Mark Neeld who all became senior coaches. If Mick honoured his contract as director of coaching, the assistant coach situation didn't suffer major upheaval and the head of the football department was more stable the results may have been stronger. That's without considering the manic dedication he brings to the job and the fact that these day's there are a number of coaches rather than one. It's always easy to attack the tall poppy, unfortunately.

            Neil · 27/07/2017 at 11:16

Reckon they'd got to Sidebottom or wells before degoey.

      TOPHAWK1 · 26/07/2017 at 19:47

Past performance is no indication for future performance.

        Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 20:22

I've already had the LEKture ok!!!

So true though and I wouldn't have Yeo if I never adapted. 2017 was a year for adapting to change.

          Captain Risky · 27/07/2017 at 20:00

A few rules had to be broken this year for sure. It's been a funny year.

            TheGreatBozza · 27/07/2017 at 22:17

I agree with Captain Risky. Who would've thought the Yeo Yeo would be a top 3 FWD. Time to kick it and rip it to JDG

BigBuggars · 26/07/2017 at 15:38

Great stuff Lek. Pity I don't have enough trades to do anything with it!! – Except turf Pendles, that is. Can afford anyone I don't have, but would prefer to save cash for cover with the 3 trades I'll have left. Titch, Dusty, Sloane or Joel? Either can't drop out or can't get in in leagues, so is a rest of season/finals decision as opposed to a match up to get through this week. Any thoughts?

    SC_Kev7 · 26/07/2017 at 16:15

It would just be the cherry on top of this year for the SCGods to completely shaft us all with injuries/suspensions/sudden form drops over the last month and a bit. Flick Pendles and hold the rest of your trades close

    LEKD0G · 26/07/2017 at 17:55

I'd grab Joel, cheap and good

      Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 20:33

Agreed bargain, very happy to go Pendles to Joel last week.

slats7 · 26/07/2017 at 15:47

I'd only trade Greene this week if you have to win to make finals. If finals are looking good, I'd hold for now.

Trades are like gold at this point of the season, especially for a player who is only out two weeks due to suspension, not injury.

    Brad · 26/07/2017 at 16:35

but he misses week 1 of sc finals doesnt he?

      slats7 · 26/07/2017 at 16:38

Yep, so hold this week and assess next week.

You don't want to waste a trade this week only for that player to get injured.

    Undies · 27/07/2017 at 12:57

I agree – I have Greenwood as cover who scored higher than most forwards last week anyway, he'll be on the ground this week and next.

benjamin B · 26/07/2017 at 15:50

5 Trades left $103,600 in Bank.
Doc, Laird, Adams, Simmo, Rance Lloyd (Scharenberg, Nielson)
Danger, Dusty, Zerrett, Bont, Jelwood, Treloar, Hanners, Pendles (Witherden, Berry, Cousins)
Gawn, Goldy, (strn)
Yeo, Macrae, Dahl, Buddy, Greene, Nank (Greenwood, Eddy)

Problem players are: Pendles and Greene (miss 2 more weeks, wont drop value) and rance/nank (stinking it up and both set to drop value)
Should win this week.
I want Titch in the mids, Heeney up front and Hibberd down back.
Is is worth going Rance to Hibberd and Nank to lewis this week? Then grabbing titch from pendles the following week and Heeney from Greene?
Leaving 1 trade left for injury with a lot of cash?

    JohndJames · 26/07/2017 at 18:50

The three you want to get in are a must,I have all three, the plan you have mapped out works. The only problem is it leaves you vulnerable in the Rucks, what if Max doesn't get up this week and Goldy stay's dropped ?

Winter · 26/07/2017 at 15:55

With 4 trades and 30k in the bank

Is it worth downgrading Mountford to a non playing 102k mid/def player in order to upgrade Pendles to Dusty or bring in either Bont, Ebert or Beams with 1 trade

Bringing in the swing player will make a connection with Witherden down back and leave me with 2 trades and 107k left

    slats7 · 26/07/2017 at 15:56

    Ebert – POD.

      LEKD0G · 26/07/2017 at 17:55

      ^

Tommo09 · 26/07/2017 at 16:07

Dusty, Merrett, Kelly or Neale to come in for Pendles???

    Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 17:12

    Zerrett or Dusty.

    LEKD0G · 26/07/2017 at 17:55

    Zerrett

    joshunt7 · 26/07/2017 at 18:22

    Dusty for sure

    JohndJames · 26/07/2017 at 18:45

In the order that you have them.

    TOPHAWK1 · 26/07/2017 at 19:55

    Dustin Martin.

    No if's and but's.

The guy is at the peak of his powers and playing sublime football.

Yes, he needs to be careful with the MRP, as one further indiscretion would mean an automatic 1 week suspension.

As they say, you gotta risk it for the biscuit. He is the best of that bunch above.

    Cheers

Liam · 26/07/2017 at 16:10

Sloane or beams ?

    Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 17:12

Beams more injury prone but if right more consistency and a ball magnet. Tough choice.

    LEKD0G · 26/07/2017 at 17:55

    Beams

Shaneo · 26/07/2017 at 16:21

Are we thinking
Hutchings will do the hard tag on beama?
With zorko not playing

    LEKD0G · 26/07/2017 at 17:56

Time will tell, I have a feeling he won't impact beams too much

    Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 20:23

Beams too quick and will find the ball.

Brad · 26/07/2017 at 16:33

so, in my 2 main leagues, i cant drop out of top 4 if i lose this week
i also have 6 trades left:

at the moment i have:
RUC: gawn, nank
FWD: yeo, dahl, heeney, greene, roo, gwood (parsons cover)
————
option 1: greene out, nank out – mcrae in, ryder in
option 2: greene out, roo out – mccrae in, kennedy in
option 3: greene to mccrae and hold nank, meaning another trade in the bank for finals footy.

mccrae is obv the man to have when money isnt an issue, right?
discuss. thanks community you legends.

    Russty_ · 26/07/2017 at 17:50

I like option 3 Brad, get rid of the violent flog, for a good player, maybe assess Nank for one more week, or if you can't wait, option 1.

    JohndJames · 26/07/2017 at 18:44

Macrae and Ryder a no brainer.

    Hubba · 27/07/2017 at 22:13

Seriously….how have you still got 6 trades?

    Mcrae in

TRIGGA_HAPPY · 26/07/2017 at 16:53

Got your cheat sheet 100% right Lek.
Toby Greene is a flog.

Yep full stop. Spot on.

    LEKD0G · 26/07/2017 at 17:56

    Thanks Trigg

      Leeds17 · 26/07/2017 at 18:46

Do you think Stevie J is a flog? a lot of similarities in these 2, give Toby time he'll come good.

        Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 21:32

Yes Stevie J is a flog. Kidding btw he's alright.

          Russty_ · 26/07/2017 at 21:38

          Nah he is a bit of a flog/rascal/gets suspended a lot…lol

Lawson · 26/07/2017 at 16:57

Thinking jack steven to beams. Or maybe rocky to beams. Should I do it or just hold

    Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 17:11

Depends on league position, trades remaining and probably more questions remain.

      Lawson · 26/07/2017 at 17:36

Playing for finals but will only leave me with 2 trades. Already at full premo

        Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 20:24

Trade Rocky, Jack Steven has at least scored well recently.

neil demons delight · 26/07/2017 at 17:04

Think Nank might be worth keeping..Soldo has had a massive imput on him and will go.. He has had a great year ad theres more to come.. You,re very welcome onfield In the Demons Delights

    Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 21:34

He shouldn't be on field at this point of the season. A decent F7/ruck swing is all he's worth I reckon.

      TheGreatBozza · 27/07/2017 at 12:46

Couldn't agree more. I'd only consider a trade to a Buddy or JJK type with a huge ceiling that you can loop

    B rian · 28/07/2017 at 04:23

Not enough output for F7 even. He has to be traded
Soldo is paying because nanks tank is empty.
This was a very predictable drop off in form because of his age and body size.
Stop kidding yourself and trade him before he is worth nothing

SCDamien · 26/07/2017 at 17:23

Would you play Lewis Young on your field over Tom Lynch this weekend? Has outscored him 2 weeks in a row.

    The Hoff · 26/07/2017 at 17:48

    Hahha

    LEKD0G · 26/07/2017 at 17:57

If Gary plays I would play Lynch

      Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 20:24

Yep. Good ball in means Lynchy scores well.

Steeeve · 26/07/2017 at 17:25

Love the Pendles write up Lekdog! Remember me Mr McGreg!

oscarr · 26/07/2017 at 17:34

thinking of bringing in de goey for nank, too risky orrr

    The Hoff · 26/07/2017 at 17:48

risky but come finals u need to take risk

    LEKD0G · 26/07/2017 at 17:57

    yolo

    B rian · 28/07/2017 at 04:25

He will be ok if you can loophole him. I wouldn't full trust him onfield

The Hoff · 26/07/2017 at 17:47

Should i bring in Connor Blakely or to risky he has scored 10 hundreds in the last 11 games the other score was a 74 or do i go a proven promo

    LEKD0G · 26/07/2017 at 17:57

He's in my side, worht bringing in for a POD but if you want value Beams/Ebert/Selwood

      The Hoff · 26/07/2017 at 18:00

so u have Blakly in your team

        LEKD0G · 26/07/2017 at 18:36

Have had him for a little while now

Finnius123 · 26/07/2017 at 17:58

Goldy to Stef, Nank to Heeney? Leaves me with zero trades.

    The Hoff · 26/07/2017 at 18:00

No then keep 1 trade keep nank

    Russty_ · 26/07/2017 at 18:02

    Is Goldy injured?

      The Hoff · 26/07/2017 at 18:03

no dropped but he'll be back this week for Daw

    TOPHAWK1 · 26/07/2017 at 20:23

You gotta hold those 2 trades if you can mate!

Wait until teams drop tomorrow. Then make a call. I expect Todd Goldstein to be named. (1 trade saved)

Nank is cooked IMO. Do not trade in Heeney though as he plays first. Look at JJK instead as he plays last, or another playing forward before Nank plays obviously.

REASON- You might need the Nank all of a sudden because an earlier playing forward is a late out or dropped! (2 trades saved)

When you are down to 2 trades before finals, you have to get super crafty. I know. Went into 2016 finals inside top 4 in all my leagues without trades left, and got pumped. Out in straight sets.

    Cheers

      TOPHAWK1 · 26/07/2017 at 20:32

Correction- JJK or any other (fwd/mid/def) swing players which play after the Nank are out of bounds.

    Russty_ · 26/07/2017 at 20:51

With Goldy likely back this week, and Nank not injured, using your last 2 trades on that would be madness mate, save em for when you really need em, and you will.

    Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 21:36

Hold for sure, wait for team announcements and assess.

MTUK · 26/07/2017 at 19:16

4 Trades left, $175k in the bank. Safe in my top 8.

Defence covered by Witherden & Ryan, Midfield is covered by Scooter and Fisher, Forwards by Greenwood and Parsons.

FWD line of: Dahl, Buddy, Higgins, Nank, Greene & Yeo. Cover is Greenwood and Parsons.

Thinking now might be a guts or glory move of Parsons to Kennedy for the run home. Though logic is telling me to shift Greene to Macrae.

If I leave it another week the first option may be unaffordable but again, should really hold some trades and I don't like my midifeld cover at all!

Decisions, decisions….

    Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 21:37

Yep trade Greene he's gone for two and your forwardline will be too thin.

    jez_m · 27/07/2017 at 11:54

    Macrae is a must have.

Tony · 26/07/2017 at 19:25

Need to replace McGrath or Ryan in def.
who would you bring in ?
Current line up
Docherty, Laird, Simpson, Adams, Lloyd, Mcrath
( Ryan, Nielsen )
Trades no problem and plenty coin in bank.
Thinking Hurley, but for 100k less can get Williams, Robertson etc.

Who will score the most from here is the million dollar question !

Your thought community would be appreciated .

Tony

    The Hoff · 26/07/2017 at 19:29

    Hurley or Hibberd

    TOPHAWK1 · 26/07/2017 at 20:00

Ryan is likely to be named this week. HOLD. Even if he is not, HOLD.

    Mc Grath to Hurley. BANG!

      Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 20:25

Agree, unless you need McGrath swing.

        TOPHAWK1 · 26/07/2017 at 20:38

If the bloke does not have Witherden, Adams, Lloyd, M Hibberd, he probably out of the contest in any case. Both Leagues or rank.

        Cheers

          Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 22:21

          Possibly…..

NovemberFoxtrotIndia · 26/07/2017 at 19:56

Will Soldo play???
Have Nank as F6 (Strandica at F3) and looking at trading to Ryder.
Also looking at Parsons to Young.
6 trades before to 4 left.
Comments welcome.
PS Greene on the pine this week..

    NovemberFoxtrotIndia · 26/07/2017 at 19:57

    R3 not F3

    Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 22:16

Ryder is a good option but although people are considering ports draw soft, he will be going up against Jacobs, Witts and Grundy over coming weeks. That saying I reckon I'm locking him in this week he's shown he is up there with the best. Is keeping Greene a good idea I hear he's out for two and week one of finals is crucial, could be a season defining decision….

    Russty_ · 26/07/2017 at 22:27

I hope the Tigers wash their hands Jeffery…of the Solvol Jeffery 🙂

Dave2008 · 26/07/2017 at 20:04

8 trades left 27 900 in the bank and set for the top 4.

Suddenly I have Wingard, Pendles out and Nank to move out as well. Team below and want one ruck, mid and two forwards. Who to take with not much cash?

D Doc Adams Simpsons Roberton Laird Lloyd (Ryan Hibberd)
M Danger Selwood Fyfe Bont Hannaberry S Mitchell Treloar Witherdon (Pickett Myers Pendles)
R Grundy Nank (Strandica)
F McRae Dal Buddy Ryder Wingard Butler Eddy Greenwood

I was thinking of who is the biggest bargain in the forwards or mids as I cant afford who I would like (Kruezer, Dusty, Yeo, Heeney) So… for my next four trades in order (breakevens considered).

A. Gunston M Wallis Sloane Gawn in and Greenwood, Wingard, Pendles, Nank out.

B. Keep Greenwood for first final as F6, Gunston, Mummy and Beams in and Wingard, Pendles and Nank in.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated!

    Pete · 26/07/2017 at 22:50

Hey mate I would swap pendles for beams and wingard for kreuzer and swing nank up forward

Charlesy_1 · 26/07/2017 at 20:04

Hurn or McGovern???

Have to offload Newman this week… my (and others) on his place as a keeper @ D6/7 were wrong it seems.

Hurn has gone ballistic 2 weeks in a row with Yeo playing elsewhere on the ground, but I fear he won't keep it up for the rest of the year.

McGovern has been decidedly far more consistent but doesn't have the ceiling of his skipper.
Would love some discussion on the two or suggestions for a final defensive POD.
Thanks community

    GloryDays90 · 26/07/2017 at 20:23

Hurn on current form for sure

      Charlesy_1 · 26/07/2017 at 20:36

Very tempting, especially with the -44 be as a safety net of sorts

    Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 20:27

I feel with Hurn it would be chasing a bit, and if things change he could be back to mediocre sc scoring. McGov.

      Charlesy_1 · 26/07/2017 at 20:36

That's what I'm leaning toward currently.

    Derek · 27/07/2017 at 12:55

Hurns has benefitted from JJK being back in team and McGovern coming back into defense and this has freed Hurn up to run around the back betting kicks at will

    DukeCambridge · 27/07/2017 at 16:38

    Z Williams

Gaz · 26/07/2017 at 20:07

6 Trades left $280,600 in Bank.

Doc, Laird, Adams, Simmo, Lloyd, Newman (Ryan, Hibberd Nth)
Danger, Dusty, Titch, Fyfe, Jelwood, Treloar, Hanners, Kennedy (Witherden, Bolton, Cousins)
Martin, Goldy, (strn)
Yeo, Macrae, Dahl, Buddy, Lynch, Greenwood (Young, Eddy)

Options
Lynch to Kennedy/Heeney/Gunston
Newman to Hibberd/Roberton/Hurley

Any suggestions greatly received.

    GloryDays90 · 26/07/2017 at 20:20

Get rid of Newman for Hibberd
Trade down Hibberd from North to Conor Glass or Junker.

Then trade Lynch after this weekend… you should consider some ruck cover also

    Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 20:31

Kennedy should finish big, especially this week against brisbane in perth if you need help getting into a top 8/4 position.

Roberton good value and a great POD, but feel like Hibberd is the best choice (because I have him). Over 20% ownership though whilst Hurley and Roberton under 10%.

Dave2008 · 26/07/2017 at 20:21

A Gunston M Wallis Sloane Gawn in and Greenwood, Wingard, Pendles, Nank out.

B Keep Greenwood for first final as F6, Gunston, Mummy and Beams in and Wingard, Pendles and Nank in.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated!

    Russty_ · 26/07/2017 at 21:03

Hi Dave, if I were you, with 8 trades!, I'd do a double downgrade this week, Pendles out for Glass and Wingard out for Young….then the next 3 weeks, get whoever you want in.

      Dave2008 · 26/07/2017 at 21:25

That sounds like a good option but I am going for league so can I win my first final v Jay Clark's team. I am guaranteed top 4.

        Russty_ · 26/07/2017 at 21:44

I wouldn't worry about it mate, if you cash up bigtime you can go bang bang …2 trades for the next 3 weeks and smash all opposition…even if you initially miss the top 4.

          Dave2008 · 26/07/2017 at 22:42

Will be in top 4 just want to try and win first final.

    Dean Billman · 26/07/2017 at 21:16

    Wingard to Yeo.

    Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 22:09

One more round before finals, if u don't need to win this round then as Russty says cash up and go bang bang maybe kreuz and another. Really should've ditched pendles last week as time is of the essence and trades plentiful.

      Dave2008 · 26/07/2017 at 22:43

Yep I waited as it could have been one week but now yep he has to go. I may bring one of Glass and Young in and bring in a gun this week and then use two more trades the next week.

        Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 23:00

        Sounds like a plan.

    Randomcliche2 · 27/07/2017 at 00:11

Just check whether it's better the do a bit of sideways and painting fences rather than double down, esp pendles down as you might be able to 1 down, two sideways and one up to make you team effectively 3 premos stronger come finals week 1. I would look to try something along the lines of pendles wingard to beams and Yeo this week and next week go send Myers and butler packing for gawn and dpp loophole. Try loophole nank and greenwood. Cheers

      Dave2008 · 27/07/2017 at 05:42

Some really good options there thanks. I looked into loopholing Nank and Greenwood but their games are too close together.

        Dave2008 · 27/07/2017 at 05:48

Or What about Wingard and Butler out for Gunton and Young tihis week then Pendles, Nank for Kruezer, Dusty next week ?

          Randomcliche2 · 27/07/2017 at 15:25

If you are 100 percent that won't need and don't want nank then it sounds fine. I watched the telecast of the Hawks match, if Gunston continues to play defence (likely given injuries) he could have a high floor. I wouldn't expect 130s each week though. They were so loose across half back, hell look at hardwick's score. I think JJK has lower risk surprisingly, even though he is Yoyo. I don't know, even though I think there is a fair chance, if Gunston will see the season out in defence.

NickMacMan · 26/07/2017 at 20:39

Gonna have 2 trades left, do i get dusty or selwood and keep the extra $100,000 for a fix up in finals

    Russty_ · 26/07/2017 at 20:56

    Save em.

      NickMacMan · 26/07/2017 at 21:10

have to get one cause I'm trading out greene via dpp

        Russty_ · 26/07/2017 at 21:12

Oh in that case, Selwood I reckon, save a da money…similar scoring.

          NickMacMan · 26/07/2017 at 21:21

or beams? and save even more

            Russty_ · 26/07/2017 at 21:26

Beams is made of glass mate, could go down anytime… Selwood is a solid finisher and high scorer in a good team.

              Off The Bench · 26/07/2017 at 21:38

              Yep Selwood

    Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 22:05

    Selwood all the way.

Russty_ · 26/07/2017 at 20:55

Just went the one trade this week, Pickett to Young, and now have cover on all lines.
Leaves me 4 trades, hope that's enough.

    Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 21:26

Should be, I reckon most people are very very low on trades.

      Russty_ · 26/07/2017 at 21:28

Yeah it's been a tough year, hard to hold off the way things have gone, but the ones with trades left will be the winners I think.

        Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 22:04

I reckon the winners will be the ones lucky enough to have the premos that happen to fire at the right time. I guess what I'm saying is that if you happen to meet someone in the GF and you have a good premo out and no trades, it's more likely this year they'll be in the same boat.

          Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 22:20

Not saying count on it though and burn all trades hail Mary style lol

            Russty_ · 26/07/2017 at 22:25

True man…there's a lot of luck involved as proven premos can spud on any given week, my ultimate goal would be to have 2 left going into the Grand Final and enough cash left to get whoever I want…hope that can happen but it's gonna take some serious restraint lol

    Derek · 27/07/2017 at 12:50

Young isn't the best cover, as he plays a few Sunday games to finish with

DEE · 26/07/2017 at 21:33

Who do I trade in for Pendles? I think he needs to be traded out now he has a second lot of surgery.
Mids:
Danger, Kelly, Bont, Sloane, Zorko, JPK, Neale, Pendles.
Last week i covered pendles with greenwood but with zorko out i need to trade pendles.
Probably don't have enough to afford mitchell

Also who do i loop out of newman or jones on Friday night? Will loop with witherden.

Too far back to challenge overall so going for league – currently 1 game clear on top.
4 trades left
Thanks

    Russty_ · 26/07/2017 at 21:37

Easy Dee…Joel Selwood, gun…and loop Newman cause Jones has been horrible last 3 rounds.

    Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 22:01

Agree with Russty, Selwood should score as well as any good premo as he has all year basically. Titch is probably the only big anomaly to most being up and down. Can use the saved cash from Selwood to upgrade Newman to a Williams/Roberton type? Leaves two trades for injuries.

    Derek · 27/07/2017 at 12:47

i won't be surprised if Newman misses this week. His role has been taken by Mcveigh and his output has fallen.

he dislocated his finger last week, they might just give him a rest.

Oliver · 26/07/2017 at 23:22

Greenwood to JJK, Heeney or Ryder? (need to use an extra trade and don't think it's worth it)

    Whatyasmokin · 26/07/2017 at 23:40

JJK, POD and can go big.

    Leeds17 · 27/07/2017 at 06:07

Greenwood is such good cover, is there no other trade you could do? JJK is a great option just keep in mind GWS away R22, is a Saturday late arvo game so could maybe loop him that day though.

    Derek · 27/07/2017 at 12:45

i would hold greenwood. I doubt BCrouch will play this week, he will get more TOG and easy 100+

Joe T · 27/07/2017 at 00:07

Some solid PODs in there Lek. Only have room to go with one of these options this week.

Option 1: Trade Parsons to Yeo and loophole Greenwood with TJ Lynch/Nank on field? Leaves me with $5k

Option 2: Trade Nank to JJK, meaning Greenwood and Lynch on field and losing ruck/fwd DPP. Leaves me with around $230k

    Joe T · 27/07/2017 at 00:10

    Just realised

Option 3: Trade Nank to Yeo, meaning Greenwood and Lynch on field and losing ruck/fwd DPP. Leaves me with $140k

    SC_Kev7 · 27/07/2017 at 10:28

    Like option 1, Joe.

MTUK · 27/07/2017 at 01:13

Do the league finals work on the same structure as the proper AFL play offs?

So, I'm first in my league – if I win my first play off, I'm then into a Premilinary, bypassing the Semi Finals? So effectively have a week off?

    Streeptrain · 27/07/2017 at 02:59

    I believe so, yes.

    Daniel Z · 27/07/2017 at 02:59

Yes, that's how it has worked in the past (I'm assuming they haven't changed it).

Joshua · 27/07/2017 at 07:35

Nank to Gawn, Martin, Jacobs or McEvoy?

    jez_m · 27/07/2017 at 11:56

    Martin.

    B rian · 28/07/2017 at 04:40

Gawn or Martin for sure. Martin should come home well but Gawn could a carve it up. Gawn just for me

no 9th tiger · 27/07/2017 at 08:26

Balls out this week… 3 trades left and I'm sitting in 9th, 1 win outside the 8. I'm playing 6th. I have way better percentage.
Teams very similar, but his secret weapons are docherty and titch.

I can bring them in, but it'll cost me Pendles (ok) and Ablett (maybe cooked anyway).

Leaves me holding Nank and Greene through finales, but nank for the cover isn't that bad.

What do you think?

    neil demons delight · 27/07/2017 at 09:16

    As.long.as.as.its.not.me.in.6th

    jez_m · 27/07/2017 at 11:59

Docherty is the only genuine must-have defender in my opinion on Titch has been the most consistent midfielder this season. Holding Nank is a bit of a concern – the play Freo in Round 22 and I reckon they could genuinely rest him for that game before the finals. Who's your bench cover? Greenwood?

    Derek · 27/07/2017 at 12:44

Hold Ablett. If i was playing a team with Ablett i'd be worried.

mike · 27/07/2017 at 08:32

Hi Community –

This week i went Wingard = Kennedy & Newman = Roberton

Thoughts?

    DANIEL · 27/07/2017 at 09:34

    Gunston POD maybe??

    jez_m · 27/07/2017 at 11:59

Sound like good trades to me, Mike.

DANIEL · 27/07/2017 at 08:33

I Have both Pendles and Greene in my team, with 86k in bank.

Thoughts on who I should bring in?

Thinking of Yeo, Kennedy or Macrae for Greene. Or other choice?
Thinking of Adams for Pendles for the DPP. Otherwise Merrett, Sloane, Beams?

4 trades left.

    SC_Kev7 · 27/07/2017 at 10:24

Macrae for mine. Hardly put a foot wrong this year.

Adams useful if you've got Hibberd/Witherden to swing him with. Otherwise I'd go Zerrett

    jez_m · 27/07/2017 at 12:00

Macrae is a must have. Of the three mids you mentioned, I'd probably go Merrett.

    neil demons delight · 27/07/2017 at 12:30

Both guys got it right Daniel MacRae and Adams

Rivo · 27/07/2017 at 09:00

Final mid upgrade – Dusty or T-Mitch?

    DANIEL · 27/07/2017 at 09:32

Chop Sticks Martin for sure mate!!!

      Rivo · 27/07/2017 at 09:38

Thanks Daniel. Hope his good form continues.

    Finnius123 · 27/07/2017 at 09:46

I personally think Titch, similar ceiling and more consistent

    TheGreatBozza · 27/07/2017 at 12:44

I rate Mitchell slightly above for consistency, but the $40k difference makes Dusty value

    Derek · 27/07/2017 at 13:21

i like TMitch. mainly because he is a pure 100% midfielder. Very rarely goes forward. Where dusty does play some game time in the forward line, which can be good when he kicks a goal or two, but there is risk that the ball is locked in defense when he is forward and he can go for periods of time without a touch. Where TMitch is a ball magnet.

Paul · 27/07/2017 at 09:08

Who to bring in, Martin and Tuohy or Neale and Roberton?

    DANIEL · 27/07/2017 at 09:33

Neale and Roberton, not sold on tuohy mate.

    jez_m · 27/07/2017 at 12:00

    Neale and Roberton

neil demons delight · 27/07/2017 at 10:43

Next year I think I will set and forget rucks two of gawn kruz and sauce linked with paddy.. This with Doc/Hibberd -Danger/Selwood a STRD equivalent and 2 non playing dpps. .Only 22 to go am I too early

    SC_Kev7 · 27/07/2017 at 11:17

Some nice names there but you shouldn't be going x2 non playing dpp's from round 1

      neil demons delight · 27/07/2017 at 12:20

correct but it wont bother me if 2 dpp rookies don't cut it such as pickett and hibbo this year

      INPieman · 27/07/2017 at 12:41

Nic Nat might be too hard to pass up if he gets a heavy discount

        SC_Kev7 · 27/07/2017 at 12:58

Probably won't be bargain basement, INP. Thought CD used a lot of discretion in handing out injury discounts this year.

Gaz hardly played in 2015 and was given a 7-10% on his starting price for 2016, reckon we'll see the same for NN. Wager he'll be around 530-540k

          Derek · 27/07/2017 at 13:18

Will gawn get a discount? how many games do they have to play to not get a discount?

          INPieman · 27/07/2017 at 13:46

True Kev. He should get the full 40% for missing the season. But they put JOM's price up when he should have been 180k

        neil demons delight · 27/07/2017 at 15:47

        amazing how you forget

    Derek · 27/07/2017 at 12:42

set and forget rucks didn't work this year. Witts and sandi would have been the best starting rucks.

#1 rule for next year will be LONE WOLF RUCKS only.

      The Ranger · 27/07/2017 at 14:18

I don't think you can say that set and forget didn't work.
Anyone who started with Kreuzer and Mummy would be pretty happy right now.

      neil demons delight · 27/07/2017 at 15:51

not quite true Derek I started with Sandiwitts then when Sandy went ryder witts with nank forward so sort of a poor mans set and forget Most thought as I did sandi witts could make money but hey they did better I still have witts and don't regret it

    Keenbutclueless · 27/07/2017 at 15:20

Many a twist to come yet. If Goldy gets traded, then Pruess would under consideration. Nicholls has gone completely missing at Gold Coast. Can he re-emerge. He's only got Witts to beat. Would Mummy retire if GES win a flag? Who comes in there?

I agree with Derek, this year showed that you should just look for value wherever you find it. This year it was the rucks, but no guarantee it will be again next year.

The rapid decline of Goldy, the chance that Gawn's 2016 was a one-off and that he returns to an injury risk proposition, Jacobs rise, fall and rise again. All makes set and forget a bit more scary going into next year.

The point that Kruezer and Mummy are 1 and 2 surely shows that. Very very few had either of them. Hard to imagine anyone had both coming in. So going cheap early and trading up to the emerging giants is not such a bad play.

I just say assess on its merits once The preseason trade and injury circus settles down. Then if value presents itself, get on. If we learned anything this year it would have to be that we need to be more flexible in our starting strategy. After 2015 and 2016, who would have thought Sandiwitts was the best strategy in 2017? Not me, and fell behind from the get-go and never caught up.

      neil demons delight · 27/07/2017 at 16:04

appreciate your views Keen I Had sandiwitts /nank early and that's exactly what I mean .My ruck set up has been good even when sandy went for ryder mid season. It was a form of bargain basement set and forget that evolved and I don't regret it this year .but not next year IN my opinion kruz gawn and sauce are standouts and another year of not worrying about rucks.Bye the way I had every intention of trading Sandy witts for grundy mum post byes but witts in particular kept going still is cheers and good luck in the finals keen

    TRIGGA_HAPPY · 28/07/2017 at 11:34

Kruez /pruess in the ruck I reckon.with goldy gone to the bombers or Freo
Danger and titch in the mids
Doc, yeo and maybe Blakey back
Gray, Heeney, menegola and curnow fwd.

      The Ranger · 28/07/2017 at 12:05

I think the lack of FWD DPP's has been one of the key differences this year so I'll be keeping a keen eye on whoever gets that.

    jez_m · 27/07/2017 at 12:02

TheGreatBozza · 27/07/2017 at 12:42

I'd like to star by thanking the community for their feedback this year. I'm sitting 3rd in my league, 1 game and percentage clear of 4th (and 1st place in the finals who's team is rolling). I've got 7 trades and $240k to play with

DEF: Doc, Laird, Adams, Howe, Lloyd, Shaw (Ryan, Shaz)
MID: Danger, Fyfe, JPK, Neale, Bont, Treloar, Selwood, Pendles (JDC, Witherden, Cousins)
R: Gawn, Grundy (Cameron)
FWD: Macrae, Yeo, Heeney, Dahl, Nank, Lynch (Bolton, Greenwood)

1st trade will be Pendles to either Merrett (POD against 1st or 2nd), Mitchell (POD against 1st on the ladder) or Dusty (not a POD but good value)

2nd trade I'm considering to offload Nank but not sure who to. I don't need to trade this week as I'm relatively safe in 3rd on the ladder.

    Derek · 27/07/2017 at 13:16

Hold Nank, stick him on the bench and loop with greenwood.

Tigers have the easiest run home and he might still do ok.

He was 8Sc at half time last week in the wet but managed to get to 54sc.

      neil demons delight · 27/07/2017 at 15:46

if it was a choice between nank and lynch I would take nank as you say Derek tiges have a great run and soldo no certainty

      TheGreatBozza · 27/07/2017 at 22:20

Thanks Derek. I'm leaning towards holding, especially considering this is a dead rubber game for me.

I'm still splitting hairs between Kelly, Merrett, Mitchell & Dusty

Heath · 27/07/2017 at 12:52

My season is really screwed at this point, 2 trades left with both Pendles and Greene still in my team. Either I keep Greene on the bench and wait for his suspension to blow over and trade Pendles to someone of a similar price (maybe Cotchin) or I downgrade Greene to Josh Kennedy and upgrade Pendles to Merret. I'm not sure what to do but I don't think going into the finals with no trades is a good idea.

    Undies · 27/07/2017 at 13:04

Have you got cover for Greene? Pendles has to go, he ain't coming back.

      Heath · 27/07/2017 at 14:43

      I've got cover for Greene.

    The Ranger · 27/07/2017 at 14:47

You gotta hold one trade Heath. Pendles – Beams maybe?

oscar · 27/07/2017 at 13:03

    SC_Kev7 · 27/07/2017 at 14:07

Tom · 27/07/2017 at 13:38

Dusty or Titch for Pendles?

    Derek · 27/07/2017 at 13:54

TMitch. mainly because he is a pure 100% midfielder. Very rarely goes forward. Where dusty does play some game time in the forward line, which can be good when he kicks a goal or two, but there is risk that the ball is locked in defense when he is forward and he can go for periods of time without a touch. Where TMitch is a ball magnet.

Josh · 27/07/2017 at 13:56

Rylan Lester worth a punt? Need to trade out Wingard. Thoughts appreciated…

    SC_Kev7 · 27/07/2017 at 14:03

Nah. His floor is terrible. Yeo, Buddy, Heeney all cheaper than Wingard. McLean has had a role change and a good POD pick (.4% of teams) JJK is a bargain at 428k

Alabamie · 27/07/2017 at 14:56

5 trades. Newman out. Use two trades to get Hurley or one to get Roberton.

    GloryDays90 · 27/07/2017 at 15:38

Need help with the trades this week any help would be appreciated!! 7 trades and $98k left in the bank. Was thinking of going Daniel Lloyd to Conor Glass and then upgrading someone just don't know who.

DEF: Docherty, Hurley, Laird, Simpson, Adams, Shaw (Witherden, Ryan)
MID: Danger, Zorko, Merrett, Fyfe, JPK, Bont, Treloar, Jelwood (Bolton, Cousins, Lloyd)
RUCK: Grundy, Gawn (English)
FWD: Macrae, Franklin, Heeney, Dahlhaus, Nank, Greewnood (Strnadica, Young)

Thanks!!

    Cogla13 · 27/07/2017 at 17:16

You've got the trades so go for it. Bringing in Glass allows you to swap Witherden into the midfield to cover for Zorko. I'd also look at fixing you rucks … trade out English and swing back Strnadica so you have the Nank swing backup again before finals start. Ryan is the only rook who can make you cash at the moment.

      James · 27/07/2017 at 17:29

I could possibly go Lloyd to glass, and English to Deluca Cardillo through DPP?

Pete · 27/07/2017 at 16:57

Hibberd or Roberton for Newman?
Please help! It's been driving me nuts all week long..

    Joshua · 27/07/2017 at 17:03

    Hibberd

    Cogla13 · 27/07/2017 at 17:07

Roberton's numbers should improve with Montagna gone.

Joshua · 27/07/2017 at 17:12

Kreuzer/Parker or Martin/TMitch?

Laird Lad Donuts · 27/07/2017 at 17:48

Hey community, I am one foward down and I need to get my last Premo foward
Right now my foward line consists of Yeo, Dalh, Franklin, Higgins, Lynch and a rookie
I cant afford McRae and am more looking towards PODs right now because every supercoach team has a McRae in it
Out of JJK and Wallis who would you pick?? Or anyone else who is cheaper than McRae that I havent already listed, if I lose this game im out of the finals, Help is greatly appreciated thanks guys

    redherringfc · 27/07/2017 at 17:54

jjk at home against brisbane. you would hope he goes very large. Should help get you into the finals.

      Laird Lad Donuts · 27/07/2017 at 18:07

thanks heaps i appreciate it i was thinking along the same lines but the only worry for me is that jjk wont get me deep enough into the finals and also he has GWS at spotless stadium and Adelaide at Domain stadium, he also has St Kilda at Etihad

    Laird Lad Donuts · 27/07/2017 at 18:12

Macrae sorry guys I think i'm drunk ahaha

redherringfc · 27/07/2017 at 17:49

I need a ruck, about 10k short of Kreuzer.

I have Martin. should I go Mumford or Gawn?

    Joshua · 27/07/2017 at 18:31

    Mumford out with an ankle

      redherringfc · 27/07/2017 at 19:47

Yep, thanks. I'll hold the trade for another week as it isn't urgent.

        Alabamie · 27/07/2017 at 22:08

You will get Kreuzer cheaper next week.

Laird Lad Donuts · 27/07/2017 at 18:09

Anyone else scared of bringing JJK in looking at his fixture? His lowest score of the year 56 was against GWS at Domain Stadium and he has GWS at spotless stadium this time also Adelaide at Domain and St Kilda at Etihad

Russty_ · 27/07/2017 at 18:28

Oh crap!…Preuss is in instead of Goldstein!…WTF!!!

    CJay · 27/07/2017 at 18:51

Magic Door last week and Preuss this week.
    No more Goldie in 2017?
I did not factor that trade in for the run home.

      Russty_ · 27/07/2017 at 19:02

Me neither mate, I just bit the bullet and went straight to Kreuzer..bugger it and bugger Goldy.

        INPieman · 27/07/2017 at 19:13

Like the old boys last year I'm sure Goldy realises his days at Norf are done. Zee Germans & their tanks have been called in

    Alabamie · 27/07/2017 at 22:07

Nth going for the first draft pick and they may get investigated by the AFL?

hedski · 27/07/2017 at 18:29

So big Mummy is out, goin on a snag hunt.

Don't Blush Baby · 27/07/2017 at 18:29

Mummy out,Preuss in

Marc · 27/07/2017 at 18:32

Thoughts on starting witherden on field over rocky?

    INPieman · 27/07/2017 at 19:15

Hard to make an argument against it

      Borko · 27/07/2017 at 19:29

      I got nothing …

    Rick Grimes · 28/07/2017 at 04:56

Will he tag this weekend with Zorko out? If he's off the leash he might go big. I wouldn't risk it.

Joshua · 27/07/2017 at 18:33

Nank out, Gawn or Martin in? Would go Kreuzer but then wouldn't be able to afford Witherden-Titch next week.

Laird Lad Donuts · 27/07/2017 at 18:35

ahahahahha

Shake n bake · 27/07/2017 at 18:44

P.s Ablett is full of s$&t!!

    Cogla13 · 27/07/2017 at 19:24

    He'll be a late out I think.

JohndJames · 27/07/2017 at 18:48

What do you mean ''Ryder will now have to pinch hit'',he's been my no1 ruck since round 10 and has only gone under 100,once in the last 6 rounds.

    Shake n bake · 27/07/2017 at 19:55

Pinch hit hoping just for the week hes been in my fwd line all year.

      JohndJames · 28/07/2017 at 01:38

Fair enough, good on you for starting with him.

SirSamuel016 · 27/07/2017 at 19:13

Got a few problems in my team i.e Priddis, Greene, Montagna and Nank, and I've got four trades left with 229.9k in the bank.
Greene is going this week for JJK, so it's between Montagna and Priddis as to who I trade. I've got Luke Ryan as cover in the backline, and Josh Thomas and Mountford as cover in the midfield so who should get the boot this week?
Going Greene to JJK will leave me with 741k odd, so I can bring in a solid premo in either the midfield or backline. Plans for next week will probably be hold nank, but swing him forward as I trade M.White out and bring in a good ruck, and my last trade will be fixing up whoever is cooked and left in the team between montagna and priddis.

    Tyruddanaut · 27/07/2017 at 21:16

Priorities! Montagna is out for the season and Greene for a couple of games. Priddis is injured and that means no training.

TOPHAWK1 · 27/07/2017 at 19:18

Hopefully Paddy Ryder can hold up at R2 with big Stef Martin for the rest of the season. Moving Nank to the forward line via Stradnica.

Its time to say goodbye Toby. I know you are nankered.(aka cooked) You have served the Tophawks side well this year. Thank you for your efforts.

OUT- Nankervis
IN- JJK

JJK could have a field day at Subi against Brisbane on Sunday. No Zorko, means the Eagles (even without Priddis) should smash it in the midfield. 8+ goals on offer for the JJK. Go big my friend, and welcome to my team.

    Cogla13 · 27/07/2017 at 19:23

I have absolutely no confidence in WC. Brissy looks like they are throwing this one to focus on their home games. Really embarrassing if WC lose this one which they are a chance. Nank not rucking with Riewoldt out, could just kick a bag.

      TOPHAWK1 · 27/07/2017 at 19:29

We are going to have to agree to disagree. The Eagles will absolutely smash Brisbane on Sunday.

        Derek · 27/07/2017 at 21:30

i like JJK as an option this week. Got Wingard last week, will trade him to JJK this week

    The Hoff · 27/07/2017 at 19:24

    Nice Kennedy bit inconsitant

    The Hoff · 27/07/2017 at 19:31

    TOPHAWK DO U HAVE HANNERBERY

      TOPHAWK1 · 27/07/2017 at 19:35

      Yep. Got Hanners

        The Hoff · 27/07/2017 at 19:37

        Not bad your ranked 3342

    Shake n bake · 27/07/2017 at 19:56

Kennedy came in for me to Hawk.

    One more W · 27/07/2017 at 23:13

I would be careful regarding bringing in JJK this week. Perth's weather Sunday is going to be wet and windy, not the best for a key forward.
    Good luck all.

      Russty_ · 27/07/2017 at 23:32

Hi mate, actually Sunday in Perth is only showers in the morning (early 5am) and then a reasonable mid morning and afternoon just being partly cloudy, winds 15 to 20 km per hour during the morning and then becoming light during the day.

The Hoff · 27/07/2017 at 19:21

Who should i get for Rockliff out of Blakely, Kelly or any other ideas

    TOPHAWK1 · 27/07/2017 at 19:24

Rocky to Kelly sounds like a decent move. Blakely not sold on. Cheers.

    GloryDays90 · 27/07/2017 at 21:06

Matt Crouch. Hasnt been under 100 since round 9

    Derek · 27/07/2017 at 22:47

Keep Rocky. No Zorko this week he will go big. Beams will get Hutchings tag

      Rick Grimes · 28/07/2017 at 04:58

Agree with Derek. Have a feeling Rocky will go yuge.

BrownlowBoy · 27/07/2017 at 19:26

C and VC options this week?

    The Hoff · 27/07/2017 at 19:29

    Mitchell and kennedy VC

    Danger C

    hedski · 27/07/2017 at 19:33

    Buddy/Titch into Danger.

      Don't Blush Baby · 27/07/2017 at 23:08

I'm thinking of VC – Fyfe into C – Danger

Borko · 27/07/2017 at 19:27

Never thought I would ask this question, but who on field out of Nankervis, Rockliff or Witherden? Decision will influence my trading plans

    The Hoff · 27/07/2017 at 19:30

Too hard to call there all crap at the moment other then Witherden

    Ben · 27/07/2017 at 21:54

You have to field Rocky right, just for the potential big score and cross your fingers

    Leeds17 · 27/07/2017 at 22:02

Soldo In, hard to see Nank scoring well though maybe he could snag a few goals against a undermanned GC defence?

    Derek · 27/07/2017 at 22:45

rocky will go big. No Zorko so Hutchings will go to Beams. Leaves Rocky to get a big score

Cogla13 · 27/07/2017 at 19:28

English ain't back. He's last on an extended bench.

oscar · 27/07/2017 at 19:32

how do you guys see JJK finishing. considering moving nank for him but with only 3 trades left, I still have witherden, Greenwood and rocky. thoughts

    The Hoff · 27/07/2017 at 19:35

JJK will get 2 big scores two shit score

      Derek · 27/07/2017 at 22:56

Lions at home this week is a nice start. Welcome to the Bunnies JJK

Ash · 27/07/2017 at 19:38

Hey guys can I get some advice? 6 trades left – $272,500 in the bank

Def: Docherty, Adams, Laird, Hibberd, Rance, Shaw (Ryan, Scharenberg)
Mid: Danger, Titch, Bont, Selwood, JPK, Fyfe, J.Lloyd (Witherden, Deluca-Cardillo, Cousins)
Ruck: S.Martin, Gawn (strnadica)
Fwd: Macrae, Yeo, Dalhaus, Franklin, Higgins, Nank (Greenwood, Eddy)

I'm thinking Pendles out for Dusty and Shaw out for Merret via Lloyd swing. Thoughts?

    simmy · 27/07/2017 at 19:40

Great trades love it maybe Kelly instead of merret

    TOPHAWK1 · 27/07/2017 at 19:41

Love it. Excellent trades. Do it.

      Alabamie · 27/07/2017 at 22:03

      Yes. Agree.

The Hoff · 27/07/2017 at 19:43

Kelly Blakely Merret Selwood who still not sure

    Derek · 27/07/2017 at 22:53

Looking ahead at round 22, I can see Kelly getting the Hutchings tag and Selwood getting Greenwood tag.

Dave2008 · 27/07/2017 at 20:12

Does anyone think Kruezer is worth the extra money over Gawn? Im going to trade out Wingard Pendles Nank and Butler over the next two weeks for either.

A. Gunston Young Martin and Kreuzer
or
B Yeo Young Martin and Gawn

8 trades left 27 900 in the bank and set for the top 4.

D Doc Adams Simpsons Roberton Laird Lloyd (Ryan Hibberd)
M Danger Selwood Fyfe Bont Hannaberry S Mitchell Treloar Witherdon (Pickett Myers Pendles)
R Grundy Nank (Strandica)
F McRae Dal Buddy Ryder Wingard Butler Eddy Greenwood

Thoughts please community?

    Tyruddanaut · 27/07/2017 at 21:27

Gettin Gunston is a risk but I hate Yeo. Either way.
Kreuzer is good but Gawn is better and has a height advantage plus a more capable midfield. He also has a strong run for the final three games
My verdict is to pick Gawn but to also pick a POD in Fwd. I'd consider Curnow or McLean

      Leeds17 · 27/07/2017 at 22:04

De Goey or D Smith if feeling really adventurous.

McLean has five weeks of socring in a clearly new role he looks the goods.

    Burns. · 27/07/2017 at 21:30

The safe option is B, but if you want to take a risk in choosing Gunston it could pay off…

Tommy · 27/07/2017 at 20:22

Is it worth trading out Ryan instead of Shaz so i can loophole Witherden every week? Don't need the cash. Only issue is that Shaz has been a late in a few times already and im worried i might get his score stuck onfield. Thoughts?

    Alabamie · 27/07/2017 at 22:02

    Trade Shaz.

Creek465 · 27/07/2017 at 21:07

PLEASE HELP
4 trades left, unsure which option to go with
I have goldy.
1: newman for hurley and hold 1 trade, with nank covering goldy
2: newman to roberson
Nank to ryder
2 trades left. And trade nank to macare next week

Thanks community

    Tyruddanaut · 27/07/2017 at 21:18

I'm leaning towards option 1. I don't feel Roberson will come home strong and Ryder not strong enough.
If you want to do option two then you should bring in JJ in back and a better ruckman

      Creek465 · 28/07/2017 at 09:57

Dont like johannison, not a consistent 95

      Really unsure what to do

    Alabamie · 27/07/2017 at 22:01

    DEFINATELY Newman to Robo.

Stuck · 27/07/2017 at 21:16

Any trade advice would be very much appreciated. $241.1k and 5 trades left

Doch, Laird, Hibberd (Mel), Adams, Lloyd, Rance (Ryan, Guthrie)
Danger, Titch, Dusty, JPK, Oliver, Bont, Jelwood, McCluggage (Witherden, Brodie, Atley)
Witts, Gawn (Cameron)
Ryder, Macrae, Franklin, Heeney, Wallis, Greenwood (Parsons, Eddy)

I'm thinking
McCluggage to Merrett and Parsons to L.Young this week and Greenwood to Yeo next week
Or should I save my trades and just go
McCluggage to Ross

TIA for any advice

    Alabamie · 27/07/2017 at 22:00

Do the McClug trade because you will need your trades. Good that you have 4 left. Well done.

      Stuck · 28/07/2017 at 17:58

      Thanks

JJF · 27/07/2017 at 21:21

Gawn or Martin?

Jimmy · 27/07/2017 at 21:25

Ummm what do we do with that dopey plick Goldstein!! I have ooooddddooooo I guess and can't get out of top 4. I'll wait a week I guess

    BlueNath · 27/07/2017 at 21:41

Yeah, only trade if absolutely necessary

    Alabamie · 27/07/2017 at 21:58

Nth going for the first draft pick. Bad luck for you.

King-Willy-Pepsi-Can · 27/07/2017 at 21:36

Have Pendles to trade and only 2 trades left $33,400 in the kitty

Do i bring in Oliver or Ebert which leaves me with $6–$9K or trade in Beams and bank $111,000K to upgrade with my last trade in a few weeks time,
cheers guys

    BlueNath · 27/07/2017 at 21:39

The Beams trade is so temping but you just can't trust his body. Therefore, Ebert

      King-Willy-Pepsi-Can · 27/07/2017 at 21:45

      Thanks BN

      Derek · 27/07/2017 at 22:48

Beams will get the Hutchings tag this week with no Zorko.

Alabamie · 27/07/2017 at 21:57

Unfortunately you won't be around in a few weeks time with one trade left.

Leeds17 · 27/07/2017 at 22:18

Who's more urgent, Goldy, Nank, Rocky, Newman or Greene? have no money but a few trades happy to do 2 but would prefer not to downgrade.

Thinking Goldy to Gawn then Rocky to JJK (playing Dalh at M8) or Gray, De Goey ect

Could downgrade Newman, give Rocky another week and have the cash to replace him with anyone next week.

    Derek · 27/07/2017 at 22:47

    Hold Rocky

Pete · 27/07/2017 at 22:26

Gawn injured his ankle last week and has a 5 round average of 90. Are we convinced he's going to be fit and in form for the SC finals ?

    Russty_ · 27/07/2017 at 23:12

I'm not quite convinced Pete, having his calf strapped up last week was a worry..I'd like to look for one more week to see if he gets through a full game and how he scores before I bring him in. Same goes for Nank and his score this week for me, if Nank spuds this week and Gawn does ok, Gawn's in next week.

TRIGGA_HAPPY · 27/07/2017 at 22:40

Not sure which way to go here now gawn is playing.
Do in trade nank to JJK or trade to Ryder keeping the DPP incase kruez or gawn miss during finals.
Ryder in serious good form at the moment but feel a big score is just around the corner for JJK

    CJay · 27/07/2017 at 22:54

JJK Home games, high ceiling and $100k cheaper than starting price are all positives. Huge game in R1 but then only tonned up 3 time since. Playing Adelaide in SC grand final and take it with a grain of salt but SC Gold predicts 87……87
If he keeps kicking bags your on a winner but Ryder looks the better move at the moment for mine.

    The Ranger · 28/07/2017 at 07:43

I reckon Ryder is a safer option but JJK will have the odd massive round Trig, can you loop JJK?
    I'd go Ryder myself.

      TRIGGA_HAPPY · 28/07/2017 at 11:26

      Cheers Ranger.
The way this season has gone might be wise to keep the DPP.
Looks like welcome back Paddy. .

Defying_Madness · 27/07/2017 at 23:08

Looking for some advice regarding my team community,

Defence: Doch, Adams, Laird, Lloyd, Rance, Hibberd (Ryan, Scharenberg)
Midfield: Danger, Titch, Zerret, Ebert, Selood, JPK, Hanners, Treloar (Witherden, Bolton, Junker)
Rucks: Kreuzer, Gawn (strn)
Forwards: Macrae, Yeo, Buddy, Nank, Heeney, Dahl (Greenwood, Eddy)

Have 91k in the bank and going Nank to JJK.
With my second trade not sure whether to trade Rance to another defender such as Roberton or Williams.
Or I could trade him to Sloane moving Witherden to D6 and allowing me to loophole Sloane, Hanners or Treloar each week to avoid their frequent scores ranging from 50-80.
Thanks for any advice community and good luck this week.

    Russty_ · 27/07/2017 at 23:55

How many trades do have left mate?…I reckon your side will be pretty much complete with Nank out and JJK in…I'm holding on Rance, I reckon he'll come good.
Good strong side…much better than mine lol

      Defying_Madness · 28/07/2017 at 01:35

Don't have many trades left, only the 3. Playing for rank over league which is why I considered moving out Rance. It would be easier to keep him if I had a solid D7 to loophole him with. Due to my bank size I have to either trade out Rance this week or hold him as D6 for the rest of the year as his price will drop.

John · 27/07/2017 at 23:09

Have 7 trades and $98k in the bank. My first trade will be Daniel Lloyd to Conor Glass, any suggestions for a second trade would be appreciated

DEF: Docherty, Hurley, Laird, Simpson, Adams, Shaw (Witherden, Ryan)
MID: Danger, Zorko, Merrett, Fyfe, JPK, Bont, Treloar, Jelwood (Bolton, Cousins, Lloyd)
RUCK: Grundy, Gawn (English)
FWD: Macrae, Franklin, Heeney, Dahlhaus, Nank, Greewnood (Strnadica, Young)

Thanks!!

    Russty_ · 27/07/2017 at 23:46

Hi John, I'd assume when you get Glass in, you'd swing him to the backline and get Witherden covering for Zorko?
You could go Nank to JJK without spending much money..or just do the one trade if you trust Nank to bounce back with Soldo playing.

      John · 28/07/2017 at 07:39

Hey Russty, yeah that is the main reason I'm getting Glass. Just don't know if I should get rid of Nank just yet, and especially for JJK. I'd rather get in someone like Yeo.

Hazey · 28/07/2017 at 07:00

Shane Savage in for Newman? Am I crazy?

    Derek · 28/07/2017 at 12:21

    no comment….

      Hazey · 28/07/2017 at 15:25

Chasing da car? Good 3 weeks sheet coming back into the side. Montagna out….

aaron · 28/07/2017 at 08:40

who to bench out of
danger, titch, martin, merrett, selwood, JPK, treloar, hanneberry, rockliff.

im thinking hanneberry on bench as E, and if he scores well i'll take off one of the other guys but conflicted as to who…

a. rockliff – poor form however with zorko out for a week im thinking he's gonna be off the leash and 125+
b. treloar – but with pendlebury out will be more reliant in the midfield for collingwood
c. start JPK on bench and hanners on field.??

open to more suggestions!!

John · 28/07/2017 at 08:47

Witherden to roberton or nank to Ryder?

    GloryDays90 · 28/07/2017 at 09:26

    Nank to Ryder

      John · 28/07/2017 at 09:39

Yeah I'm just thinking that he could pull a solid score without Steven may in for the suns

    John · 28/07/2017 at 09:47

Takes me to 2 trades so it's really who scores more for the rest of the year

      GloryDays90 · 28/07/2017 at 10:43

Witherden is handy cover and will score well most weeks. Ryder will outscore Nank easily.

Tommy · 28/07/2017 at 09:16

Is it worth using a trade to allow me to get another swingset in Def so i can loop Witherden with Rance every week? Would mean i only have 1 trade left, but means i will have decent cover in def and fwd. Currently, my 2 bench defenders are ONE of Shaz/Ryan and Junker,. If Shaz isnt named, i could use him but he is often a late in and its risky using him as a loop.
Thoughts guys?

Jordan · 28/07/2017 at 09:40

As nick Riewoldt is out and I have no cover (unless beech plays) and 1 trade should I trade beech out to a rookie with dpp so I can switch him with other rookies with dpp later when I need to

    Northerner · 28/07/2017 at 14:13

That seems the smart move. I assume you mean you can shift a DPP rookie in to cover Roo. There's Deluca who's DPP and on bubble this week as well. Consider

The Ranger · 28/07/2017 at 09:59

5 trades and 62K left.
Pendles – Beams
Nank- Gawn (swing Ryder fwd)
Leaves me $105K and 3 trades for finals.
Got Greenwood, Witherden, Ryan, Schazza, Junker, Pickett and Bolton on the pine to swing about.

Whaddya reckon? Do both trades or just trade Pendles?

    Derek · 28/07/2017 at 11:52

beams will get the hutchings tag this week for sure.

      The Ranger · 28/07/2017 at 11:55

Yeah i did consider that but is he taggable?
He does a lot of his work on the inside like Titch.
I was tossing up between Rocky, Sloane and Beams as i wanna have some cash to take into finals Derek so if you had to pick one of those three which way would you go?

        Derek · 28/07/2017 at 12:43

i have Pendles to trade out. Considering RGray.

Looking at Ports run home, 4 out of 5 at adelaide Oval.

Wingard is out meaning Gray will get more midfield. Even if he doesn't, the teams he will play don't have much forward line pressure. Gray will do well. I keep waiting for him to get injured, so brought the Chad last week

          The Ranger · 28/07/2017 at 13:02

Nice POD choice but I'm not convinced he'll get enough mid time.
If he does he'll definitely be a good option.

Daniel · 28/07/2017 at 10:02

Which 2 should I play on field out of Lloyd, Witherden, Harbrow and Rance in Defence?

    benjamin B · 28/07/2017 at 11:01

    Lloyd and witherden

    Finnius123 · 28/07/2017 at 12:38

    Can you loophole at all?

      Daniel · 28/07/2017 at 12:56

Only Lloyd as my loophole is Junker

benjamin B · 28/07/2017 at 11:02

Whats up with rance? 5 trades left do i flog him off to Hibberd?
Also.. can sloane keep above 100 average with thompson back? or use the extra money and get mitchell but then not be able to get ryder?

SCdonkey · 28/07/2017 at 11:25

Gonna hold Pendle this week, he'll actually come in handy for loophole. Good thing i have cover in all position with Mummy out this week can swing Ryder in to the Ruck. Thank goodness Gablett is playing(hoping not a late out), might put Hanners on the Pine(E) if he scores 80- then I'll take a punt on Witherden or Greenwood.

Now who do i bench up forward Lynch, Greenwood or Bolton. Greenwood has been scoring well, Lynch can go large but can spud it really bad. Bolton might get a bit of the ball this week no Riewoldt.

Captain choice will be tough Danger, Dusty and Gablett all playing at the same time. I don't trust any players i have for VC or C.

    Derek · 28/07/2017 at 11:51

you can't keep pendles if he is out for the year.

Stupid Coach · 28/07/2017 at 11:52

Great work Lek Dog. Currently sitting on 5 trades. Thinking of trading Newman via Adams DPP to either Dusty (only leaves me $10k), Sloane or Ebert. Was going to trade Nank to Ryder but need him to cover Mummy who I only brought in last week. Which trade should I make?

Any thoughts/advice much appreciated.

The Hoff · 28/07/2017 at 12:21

Blakely or Kelly

    Finnius123 · 28/07/2017 at 12:27

    Kelly for me

Joshua · 28/07/2017 at 12:40

Nank to Martin or Gawn?

Scott · 28/07/2017 at 12:40

Ryder or JJK?

    neil demons delight · 28/07/2017 at 12:59

    ryder

Rocksta · 28/07/2017 at 13:22

Does anybody know how long Mummy is out for?

    Northerner · 28/07/2017 at 14:10

No certainty for next week is latest

ST74 · 28/07/2017 at 14:49

Awesome job Lek. Thoughts on which of the following trades to do this week..
1) Newman to Dusty via Adams DPP – leaves $10k
2) Newman to Sloane via Adams DPP – leaves $105k
3) Newman to Parker. via Adams DPP – leaves $60k
4) Nank to Ryder
5) Either of Ops 1-3 plus 4. Leaves me with 3 trades

Thoughts???

Dave2008 · 28/07/2017 at 15:25

8 trades left 27 900 in the bank and set for the top 4.

D Doc Adams Simpsons Roberton Laird Lloyd (Ryan Hibberd)
M Danger Selwood Fyfe Bont Hannaberry S Mitchell Treloar Witherdon (Pickett Myers Pendles)
R Grundy Nank (Strandica)
F McRae Dal Buddy Ryder Wingard Butler Eddy Greenwood

As a POD which we all need to win league finals or go up in rank who would you trade in for Wingard? Other trade this week Young in for Pendles.

Thumbs Up McLean
Thumbs Down Gunston

Mick didn't do well at Carlton even though most Carlton supporters, led by Andy Maher, were salivating at the anticipated prospect of the poached Collingwood stalwart delivering a premiership. Clubs have football departments, some which work with and some that work against the head coach. Blaming one man for any results, good or bad, is ridiculously naive in modern football. Concentrate on supercoach and don't kid yourselves you understand the nuances of actual coaching at AFl club level.

    Randomcliche2 · 29/07/2017 at 22:51

I'll give you this…your persistent and convinced of your view. I like the Mick example you put forward, it's persuasive. I don't think Bucks gets off the hook for that and still wears a fair wack of responsiblilty. Chao
