RD13-Supercoach-Cheat-Sheet

G’day Community and welcome to a JJK-Free Cheat Sheet.

Hey guess what?

We don’t have any rookies to trade down to and I for one don’t go early on them (hopefully no-one sees McInnes in my side). So I’m reminding you to never TRADE IN a rookie early, even if they have the bye and look good like LUKE RYAN, because going EARLY never seems to work out…hopefully you can read my code.

In other news I’ve highlighted some P.O.D’s and ignored a few seemingly obvious options. GAJ for example is a highly traded in player this week however as a GAJ owner I just feel as if bringing him in is way too risky given his inconsistency of late.

Finally thanks to Higgo’s article and of course Fantasy Insider I was able to come 17th in one of my Draftstars matches over the weekend.

Make sure you get around the free Jock Reynolds Academy game between the Demon’s and the Bulldog’s.

As always, I’ll see you in the comments although it took me two hours to get through most of them last week but I still couldn’t get to them all.

I love you community!

Another good summary of the week Lek….community my trades for the week! Spending big: Taranto – D.Martin. & Marchbank to Dockerty

    Darc · 14/06/2017 at 21:40

Great moves although you are buying them at top dollar, make sure you don't need any spare cash for upgrades next week or the week after.

Mavs17 · 14/06/2017 at 20:37

Thanks Mate good once again!
I agree on Steele and not trading Fyfe. He will come good.

Traded Steele to McRae: leaving my team at

Laird, Adams, Docherty
Hibberd, Tuohy, Roberton
(Hibberd, Ryan)

Dangerfield, Martin, Pendlebury
Oliver, Kennedy, Zorko
Fyfe, Selwood
(Fisher, Cousins, Brown)

Martin, Nank (Strnadica)

Yeo, McRae, Greene
Dalhaus, Franklin, Greenwood
(Parsons, Eddy)

7 trades left, 35k in bank

Hope to swing Nank fwd soon and bring in a ruck.

(Parsons, Eddy)

Thoughts guys?

    Northerner · 14/06/2017 at 21:45

Save your trades for a few weeks if you can.

I feel there's been fewer injuries this year to offset the lower cash generation. Those LTIs will come and you'll need those trades.

      Mavs17 · 14/06/2017 at 21:52

Im still not confident Steele will do very much for the rest of the year and he will keep losing money. So ill stick with bringing in McRae for Steele. This is the last trade I was thinking of doing for atleast a couple of weeks.

        Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 22:07

Bottom line is Mavs, he's only had 3 tons out of 12 games and scored shite last week when asked to tag Sloane, is only averaging 75 last 3 game average, so not a bad trade this week but be careful from here on in, Northerner is right in a way, to save your trades but you'll only know if it was correct or not in hindsight, depends on what you're going for too, overall winning the whole thing or just league wins.

If it's League wins only, patience is a virtue that can get you there, running out of trades ends your season suddenly and leaves a bad taste in your mouth, I know I've been there before lol.

          Mavs17 · 14/06/2017 at 22:10

Yeah I was going to hold this week, But I feel Steele is just going to keep losing money. I don't plan on making anymore moves until Greenwood and a couple of other rookies make some money, then I will look to finalise my team by swinging Nank Fwd and bringing in another Ruck.

            Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 22:14

Well I believe getting towards the end of the season, that points generation is more important than cash generation, that being said, MaCrae will make you more points than Steele.

              Mavs17 · 14/06/2017 at 22:19

I was averaging about 2150 a week before I brought in Danger, Doch and McRae so surely I can only go up from there haha. Greenwood is my last upgrade and then that is it. Sadly I made some crap trades with rookies early on as I didn't do as much research as I should of and then had big Gawn go down with injury.

Tommo09 · 14/06/2017 at 20:42

My team after this weeks trades

Def: Doch, Adams, Laird, Tuohy, Hibberd, Simpson (Stewart, Ryan)
Mid: Danger, Selwood, Bont, TMitch, Kennedy, Pendles, Fyfe, Selwood (Cousins, Bolton, Hibberd)
Ruc: Mumford, Sandi (Strnadica)
Fwd: Macrae, Heeney, Dahl, Lynch, Nank, Hannan (Greenwood, Eddy)

Traded Newman, Steele and Myers to Doch, Ryan and Macrae

9 trades and no cash left

Thoughts on my team???

    Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 21:11

Like the trades and like your side Tommo, very solid, (I'm Jealous) lol, and you still have Stewart, Ryan, Hannan and Greenwood to use for dosh for when you need to upgrade, and only 2 deadwoods on the bench with Eddy and Hibberd, but Hibberd is quite useful as a swinger…..and might even play this week.

    Tyruddanaut · 14/06/2017 at 21:25

I was looking, thinking "he's bloody got full premo already!" But then I saw hannan
Next week you'll make it with 2 simple trades

      Tommo09 · 14/06/2017 at 21:26

The problem is… my ranking is 38000
      Absolutely shocking

Mark · 14/06/2017 at 21:03

Bring in Parker in mids or Heeney up forward?

    Lingy · 14/06/2017 at 21:43

Heeney. In better form and probably the safer bet.

Ben · 14/06/2017 at 21:12

Lek what are your thoughts on trading fyfe to bont to get 18 bodies on field? Have 13 trades left and 2 away from full promo.

    LEKD0G · 16/06/2017 at 16:25

Eh I don't love it but it is fine

INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 21:22

Computer says no

Tyruddanaut · 14/06/2017 at 21:22

I, for one, am absolutely screwed. Fyfe has been reported saying that he has had terrrible chest pains over the last few weeks and I'm not sure whether to drop him and bring in Scooter or hold.

With 6 non-playing on-fielders, I need to use at least two trades this week. At the moment I think I'm going to trade Fyfe but that means I'll only have 4 trades left at full premo
Myers to Lloyd,
Fyfe to Scooter
Roughy to Williams
Next week I might get Liam Jones depending on how he plays but otherwise it's a forward/ruck premo and Ryan and use 2 trades

What are your thoughts on Fyfe downgrade as a trade, community? Is roughy really a must trade? How does Liam Jones look to you?
Thank you

    Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 21:40

I concocted a lengthy reply to your post Tyruddanaut but the powers that be decided to refer it to the administrators for analysis, I'm assuming it's because I used the word….sh*t. Can't be bothered typing all that again sorry.

      Tyruddanaut · 15/06/2017 at 09:14

Sorry to hear that but it's all good

    Northerner · 14/06/2017 at 21:52

With so few trades you don't have the luxury of trading Fyfe IMO

    Mavs17 · 14/06/2017 at 22:00

Hold Fyfe, he will come good and finish well.

      Rivo · 14/06/2017 at 22:15

So what about just SPP to Scooter this week?

        Tyruddanaut · 15/06/2017 at 09:14

That works well. SPP has developed nicely and Scooter looks like a keeper

      RulesBloke · 15/06/2017 at 09:23

Absolutely nothing to suggest that fyfe will improve this year and the evidence is that he may miss games immediately after the bye.
Advising people NOT to trade out Fyfe is akin to trolling.

        Mavs17 · 15/06/2017 at 10:47

Okay mate whatever you reckon…. proven premo who started the year well.. im just suggesting that people hold there trade on him and wait for one more game after the bye…. no need to act like an asshole…

    Cogla13 · 15/06/2017 at 09:05

Trading Fyfe is fine if you have spare trades. He is an underperforming premo in 57% of teams. You create a pod by trading him ou.

Ben · 14/06/2017 at 21:25

Fellas how many trades do we want left once we reach full promo?

    INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 21:32

    30

      Ben · 14/06/2017 at 21:37

      Seriously what's a good amount

        Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 21:37

10 to 12 would be great.

    Northerner · 14/06/2017 at 22:00

Joel Smith on the horizon as a def downgrade in maybe a month's time. Listed as 2 weeks with his shoulder. Will no doubt spend a couple in the seconds, but his only quarter in Rd 1 was impressive. He was talked up by the Ds in the pre season.

    Dice · 15/06/2017 at 10:46

    4 – 6

Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 21:25

If Boyd comes back in…and Roughead playing, English will be going back to England.

INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 21:28

Houli & Westoff! Geez! In the wise words of reverend Lovejoys misses "won't somebody think of the children"

    Goat · 15/06/2017 at 16:50

    Priceless

    LEKD0G · 16/06/2017 at 16:26

Not for the weak of mind

Sabsy · 14/06/2017 at 21:36

Pretty poor that only new Draftstars players can participate in the Sunday game. How was that allowed to happen? #nothappyjan

    Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 21:45

They have free games Sabsy, it's basically the same as Coachkings , just under a different name.

      Sabsy · 15/06/2017 at 23:35

Sure they do, but with no money up for grabs, so it's just for fun. It would also be nice to be playing against the fine people of this community as we did on CoachKings. #bringbackcoachkingsplayathome

    LEKD0G · 16/06/2017 at 16:26

Should be able to play even if you've played games before?

      Sassy · 16/06/2017 at 16:47

Yep, log in and then click the link from jock. Will work, did it last week, albeit not very well.

      Sabsy · 17/06/2017 at 19:49

Not if you've played more than 20 games; quoting Jock himself: "Note: folks who have played over 20 games of Draftstars aren’t eligible to play. A safe place for the community to learn their Daily Fantasy Footy craft!" This was 100% confirmed when I attempted to enter the match, at which point I was presented with a "go away, you've played too many Draftstars games" message. 🙁

I get it, you guys have to pay the bills somehow, and promoting Draftstars might be one way you're doing this (maybe not, I'm only guessing); my beef is that you billed the Draftstars match as a like-for-like replacement for the CoachKings one, and clearly this is not the case (at least this week) because there were no such restrictions for participants in CoachKings. :/

B T · 14/06/2017 at 21:39

English is horrible. Don't touch him.

Captain Risky · 14/06/2017 at 21:53

Nick Riewoldt anyone?

    Rick Grimes · 15/06/2017 at 04:46

On the risk v reward matrix he's leaning very much towards the risky side. Could be an inspired choice but only if you have a spare trade up your sleeves. It's a no from me.

    Dildor · 15/06/2017 at 08:41

I've held him for a long time, longer than i expected, hoping it pays off.

      Dice · 15/06/2017 at 10:44

Same Dildor, i'm gonna be so shitty if he fails this week

    LEKD0G · 16/06/2017 at 16:26

Give him a week to settle in

Sam · 14/06/2017 at 21:56

I can go Roughy to Yeo or
Roughy to Bont via Macrae DPP (which loses my DPP swing)
Just not sure if I need to do this trade this week? Thoughts?

    Rick Grimes · 15/06/2017 at 04:43

Roughy should go this week. I've dropped the guilatine. Hawks just not providing him opportunities. If he could add a couple of extra goals to his output he'd be a keeper, but that's not happening. Yeo is a nice upgrade.

Rivo · 14/06/2017 at 21:57

Tough decisions this round.

10 trades and $30k.

Considering the below but not sold on the idea…

Out: Fyfe, SPP & Pickett;
In: Bont, S.Selwood & C.Brown.

Leaves me with 17 on field this week, but 2 players short of full premo.

    Mavs17 · 14/06/2017 at 22:01

Hold Fyfe until he plays after the Byes, then re-assess

      Rivo · 14/06/2017 at 22:17

So what about SPP to Scooter this week? Wasted trade?

        Mavs17 · 14/06/2017 at 22:21

Really depends on where you see Scooter fitting in your team. I'm having him as my last MID which I don't mind, because if his body holds up he will average 90 or more easy.

          Rivo · 15/06/2017 at 06:12

SPP is currently my 9th mid, and ideally a cash trade up. However I think he has maxed out. Scooter will make more cash and help me get the premo mid Fwd quicker.

        Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 23:45

I'm going SPP to Scooter and Newman to Doch this week, sick of SPP.

JDP · 14/06/2017 at 22:16

Who provides more value for second half of year

Bont or Yeo ??

    Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 22:49

Hard to say cause Yeo has been good but not in the past and Bont has been good in the past but not so good now, I'd back the Bont to bring home the good scores in the late part of the season.

      Rick Grimes · 15/06/2017 at 04:40

The Bont is a CD darling. He only needs a half decent game to ton up. If he plays really well it's a guaranteed 150.

    Dildor · 15/06/2017 at 08:43

Both are good options depending on if your gooing league or overall rank. Consider that Yeo is up 106,000 from the start of the year and Bont is down 61k. Bont looks like a bargain.

    Derek · 15/06/2017 at 09:32

can't really compare a mid to a forward.

will bont be in the top 8 mids by year end…. no

will yeo be in top 6 forwards by year end….. probably

do i have a congative bias against both…… yes.

      Rick Grimes · 15/06/2017 at 14:12

I'd argue Bont will be top 8.

        bUCKET__ · 15/06/2017 at 19:55

Doggies draw looking pretty okay for Bont in the second half of the year I reckon, Rick!

Jackjillaroo · 14/06/2017 at 22:17

I am new to SC and realise I am hopeless at it but will be better next year. Two queries.
1. Can I have Danger as C and J. Selwood as VC and still do the C loophole?
2. If I make three trades say, when does my opponent see my side. Now, or when Gameday live opens after the first game of the round starts.
These are probably dumb questions to many of you but I really don't know. I have learnt a great deal reading all the queries so thanks everyone.

    Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 22:47

Hi Jackjillaroo, no, you can't have the VC and the C in the same game, always use the VC in the earlier game so you can choose the C later in a different game.
Secondly, You opponent only sees your side as it is this week, after the first round starts, even if they have supercoach gold…till the first round starts, they only see who you had last week.

      Jackjillaroo · 15/06/2017 at 00:32

Gee thanks. I'm rated 76,554 and no wonder. You are probably about 1000.

        Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 00:50

I was ranked in the 2000's until the byes came, haha, now i'm around 8000, hoping to climb up again after these dang byes. 🙂

skdo · 14/06/2017 at 22:44

Hello community unsure what to do this week 4 away from Semi Premo but have plenty of rookies and cash left. Fielding 19 this week although alot are rookies. So, what should i do this week i want to use up all three of my trades thanks community. Love the cheat sheet LEK
DEF: Laird, Doc, Adams, Hibberd, Newman, Berry (Stewart, Hibberd(NTH)
MID: Danger, Titch, Pendles, Fyfe, Treloar, JPK, Rocky, Barret (SPP, Lloyd, Cousins)
RUCK: Martin, Nank (Strandica)
FOR: Yeo, McRae, Dalh, Buddy, Stevens Greenwood (Hannan, Parsons)

14 Trades, $223,900 in the Bank

    Derek · 14/06/2017 at 23:15

You need 2 defenders, a mid and a ruck. Who do you want for those positions?

Once you know who you want, work out how much they will cost.

Add up the value of your 8 fattest rookies allowing for a bit more cash in the likes of Barrett, Greenwood. See if you have enough cash to make your 4 upgrades allowing for 4 rookies of about $117k.

This will let you work out if you can afford your 4 premiums.

      Derek · 14/06/2017 at 23:17

You might need 9 trades. Getting thin in the cash cows. If you can, will still leave you 5 trades

        skdo · 15/06/2017 at 15:28

Thank You Derek for Your reply
My 2 defenders will be LLYOD, WILLIAMS Mid: Neale and Ruck Goldy

Josh · 14/06/2017 at 22:51

Macrae or Yeo?

    Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 23:01

    I reckon MacRae.

    Murray Vance · 14/06/2017 at 23:05

Yeo. Has 7 more games at Domain.

    Derek · 15/06/2017 at 09:29

Macrae has this annoying habit of starting very slowly but then having a massive second half. Not sure where i can get a quarter by quarter breakdown but i'm sure i'm correct.

One day he will have two massive halves and wooshka

Max · 14/06/2017 at 22:57

JPK, Dusty or Zorko?

    Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 23:01

    Dusty, Zorkonator, JPK

    LEKD0G · 16/06/2017 at 16:27

    Zorko

SugarGum · 14/06/2017 at 22:58

Forwards are Macrae, Dahl, Yeo, Greene, Lynch and Steele. Can go Steele to any other FWD or should I hold? Fielding 17 this week (unless Hibbo gets a gig) as I decided against trading Fyfe to Cotchin. Have 10 trades left and 1 away from full premo which will be Berry to Lloyd next week. Thoughts?

    Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 23:00

Maybe Steele to Buddy or Heeney and get 18 on field and then try to hold off.

      SugarGum · 14/06/2017 at 23:14

i only have space for one upgrade, if I go Steele to Franklin would have to trade Fyfe to the likes of a Parker. If I hold Steele can go Fyfe to Cotch.

        Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 23:35

Yeah ok, but you said you could trade Steele to "any other fwd" so that's what I offered advice on.

          Joshua · 14/06/2017 at 23:47

Yep thanks for the advice, will hold Fyfe and spend the cash on upgrading Steele

            Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 00:14

Why are you answering for Sugargum…Joshua?

              Joshuq · 15/06/2017 at 07:43

Keeps on autocorrecting to my real name for some reason

                  Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 17:26

                  Lol good one!

    Mavs17 · 14/06/2017 at 23:37

Simple trade steele and hold fyfe

Murray Vance · 14/06/2017 at 23:01

Should I cop the donuts this week by fielding 16 or force the following trades to field 18?

H Greenwood to C Brown
N Fyfe to S Selwood
R Burton to S Docherty

Playing for rank. Leaves me with 9 trades remaining.

    Mavs17 · 14/06/2017 at 23:37

Hold fyfe and do not trade greenwood yet..

    Derek · 15/06/2017 at 09:22

if you are playing for Rank you really can't afford 2 donuts.

    Fyfe to SSelwood seems ok.

Burton to Docherty is a big spend and if it means having to trade greenwood now, i wouldn't do it. Do you have enough cash to get LLoyd this week?

Lloyd is a very good option, even if you can still get Docherty later. Lloyd has DPP can be a really handy swing with Adams for the rest of the year. (play Adams as a Mid)

      Murray Vance · 15/06/2017 at 10:21

Thx Derek, sound advice. I don't have Adams, 2 players away from full premo but Defense already full and definitely want Docherty, his price seems justified.

Who knew all the good rookies would have Round 13 bye!

        Derek · 15/06/2017 at 12:37

if defense is full, and you don't have adams of docherty….. who do you have ?

          Murray Vance · 15/06/2017 at 14:57

Rance, Howe, Simpson, Hibberd, Shaw (full after adding Docherty)

            Derek · 15/06/2017 at 15:04

fair enough. No Adams or Laird. rest of your team must be good

    Dice · 15/06/2017 at 09:28

If you're less than 3 players from full premo, lock it in. I know greenwood has more to make but can't really wait when playing for rank

      Murray Vance · 15/06/2017 at 10:22

2 away from full premo, agree, don't want to cull Greenwood but can't afford to fall behind. Looks like a go. Cheers, Dice.

TRIGGER HAPPY · 14/06/2017 at 23:05

Nice one lekydog

Been saying it for a couple of weeks but that iceberg that was off on the horizon is now right in front of us.
Orginally you could see the bit out of the water with the premos in clear view but it was the bit hidden just beneath the waves in the rd 13 rookies that could cause the most damage.
Now the iceberg looms large right in front of us as every decent rookie rookie is bloody rd 13!
Most of us are gonna smash into it, but the planners amongst us will steer clear and sail into clear water shooting up the ranks.
Everyone else will be left floundering in water clinging to a leaky rusty steele sandi-fyfe raft
maybe its time to upgrade to a jet propelled option that may let you Kruez to safety?
God help us that wouldn't be too dusty.

    Derek · 15/06/2017 at 09:14

if you know me you would guess that i planned the byes with accountancy like precision. What let me down has been the mediocre scoring of the on field rookies, a whole bunch of them scoring 50-60ish. Stewart last week was one of the few that did what i was hoping scored 105. nice work. it has been the Myers, Cousins, Butlers, parsons, Scharenberg, SPP, Fisher, Bolton, mcGrath, who have all done ok, as well as can be expected, i was just hoping for a bit more. Its like having 5 Menapoos and a Davis. I had 21 & 22 onfield last two weeks and managed 1742 and 1824, was looking for alot better. oh well. Will have 18 or 19 this week but still included 4 rookies

      Dildor · 15/06/2017 at 09:27

I planned like hell too, to bad Harbrow loves a beer.

Same here! 3 premos out last week due to non-bye related issues…. FMSCL!

      Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 17:30

I don't usually plan for Byes Derek, which proves I haven't learned much in 10 years lol, but I've dropped 6000 places in the rankings the last 2 weeks, should be a good one for me this week though with a prediction of 2000+ , fingers crossed.

It's been a funny ole year!

    Randomcliche2 · 15/06/2017 at 13:20

And for those who are gunna crash…..I hope your boat has a hardbow… maybe he'll save you!

L G · 14/06/2017 at 23:08

who is the better forward upgrade Yeo or Heeney

    Rick Grimes · 15/06/2017 at 04:35

Yep had a good run of home games. Can't be bothered doing the math but I suspect he averages a good 10 points higher at home. Heeney is a gun, but shares that midfield time, so there's a chance he loses points to a resurgent Parker? Couldn't really go wrong with either.

      Rick Grimes · 15/06/2017 at 04:35

      Yep=Yeo.

Mavs17 · 14/06/2017 at 23:45

Yeah na, trade steele and keep Fyfe..

Crow · 15/06/2017 at 04:23

Current team is
DEF : Docherty, Adams, Laird, Howe, Shaw, Berry (Stewart, O'Connor)
MID : Rockliff, Dangerfield, Pendlebury, Kelly, Fyfe, Cripps, Martin, Bontempelli (Fisher, Cousins, S.Selwood)
RK : Martin, Nankervis (English)
FWD : Yeo, Dahlhaus, Greene, Steele, Greenwood, Taranto (Parsons, Strnadica)
11 trades
150.4 k
Seeing how ive got Selwood on bench, i was going to go
Fyfe to Bolton
Taranto to Macrae
Parsons to Heeney
Then next week wait for Lloyds price to drop and upgrade either Berry or Stewart to him.
Good idea or is there a better way?

Rick Grimes · 15/06/2017 at 04:29

Holding Steele. His spud score last week was due to them trying him in a tagging role. He won't be doing that again I suspect. Drop that score out of the mix and he's averaging 90 odd, which as per your Shaw comment, doesn't warranta trade. He's my F6 and will be a F7/M9 swing player in a few weeks.

    Northerner · 15/06/2017 at 05:31

Good strategy. I'm looking at Taranto as my swing bench cover and maybe switch him to another premo fwd later in the season and use Wallis for that role.

    Dice · 15/06/2017 at 08:58

Spot on about Steele Rick. I'm wanting to get rid of him this week but due to trades and 18 players I can't – He is one of my least worries keeping Steele

    INPieman · 15/06/2017 at 10:03

Steele is too slow & doesn't have the tank to tag. That experiment didn't last long last week & he was sent to the pine. I'm hoping to shift Steele to a cover/loop player in the coming weeks as well

      BrownlowBoy · 15/06/2017 at 11:00

Are you holding Steele this week Pieman?

    Holty · 15/06/2017 at 10:10

Agreed Rick. I see some comments saying he has only averaged 75 in his last 3 weeks so get rid of him. What they have failed to look at is he averaged 96 in his previous 3 rounds before his tagging role. I am hoping he wont wont have to do anymore heavy tagging roles and will stay my f6 come seasons end. But as you suggested, having him at f7/m9 would be ideal.

      Dice · 15/06/2017 at 10:43

Get those tackles back up to 10 a match, then he'll be right Steele

    Mavs17 · 15/06/2017 at 10:52

If it means i get McRAE then i think ill do it. Steele served me well but he definately wont be getting many more 100s

    Shake n bake · 15/06/2017 at 11:08

    He wont play this weekend…dropped

Northerner · 15/06/2017 at 05:41

Just looking at team posts and on field teams are starting to look so similar. Especially backs and forwards.

e.g. My backs are Doch, Laird, Adams, Hibberd, Howe and Newman (Will become Lloyd next week). Howe would be a slight pod, but rest will be cookie cutter. Similar result if I posted my fwds.

There's some variation in Rucks and Mids, but team convergence is very strong.

I think key differences now will be injuries and what bench cover you have, together with you trade reserves.

    Northerner · 15/06/2017 at 05:43

Do we push for moving back to 22 trades to get greater variation?

……Waiting for the howling to come…….

      The Ranger · 15/06/2017 at 09:55

      Nnnnoooooooooooooo!!!!!!!

    Derek · 15/06/2017 at 08:48

The biggest difference I see is the team value. There is a corolation between rank and value. Those who got the right rookies and jumped on Oliver Kelly etc when they were cheaper are at the pointy end.

What is yet to happen is to see if the teams st the top can hang on with very few trades.

I'm usually a holder of trades. Even finished last year with one left, but this year it looks like I'll be down to 4 in a few weeks time once I'm at full premium.

There will be plenty of howling later in year if there are a few key player injuries.

    Randomcliche2 · 15/06/2017 at 13:24

24 trades is sooo much harder. Love it. With 30 its a firing range.

Stupid Coach · 15/06/2017 at 06:02

Great work Lek Dog. Looking forward to seeing the back of the bye rounds. 14 trades and $78,000. Team is as follows:
B: Doc, Shaw, Laird, Lloyd, Hibberd, Newman, Stewart, Scharenberg.
Mid: Danger, Pendles, Treloar, Ward, Fyfe, , Adams, PP, Yeo, Myers, Bolton, Mountford
Ruck: Martin, Goldy, Strndica
Fwd: Dahl, Lynch, Steele, Nank, Hannan, Parsons, Cameron, Greenwood.
Thinking Steele to S Selwood (via DPP) to generate cash and Fyfe to Martin /j Selwood or Zorko. Would also like to trade Myers but not sure who I could bring in.
Any thoughts/advice much appreciated.

Dildor · 15/06/2017 at 08:57

With only 17 warm bodies and fyfe, myers and cousins having a bye in my mids i need to make a trade. Am considering going Myers -> Ainsworth. This will cost me 30k but gives me the body and need and can keep Fyfe. Ainsworth would be my mid fwd swing for the rest ooof the year hoping he can bail me out if need be, any thoughts?

    INPieman · 15/06/2017 at 09:12

To save a donut it's not a bad ploy. But wait for teams & see if a cheaper option presents

      Dildor · 15/06/2017 at 09:26

Great idea, was jumping the gun a bit probably, will reverse the trade and be smarter when teams are announced. Thanks for keeping me in check, you da real mvp.

    Tyruddanaut · 15/06/2017 at 09:15

Possibly Shai Bolton or a rookie mentioned in the spreadsheet would be efficient

      Dildor · 15/06/2017 at 09:25

As a tiges supporter i've watched Shia very closely even in the VFL, he looks dangerous in periods but has poor disposal efficiency, will be a good player eventually but has a ways to go, don't think he'll remain in the side all year.

        INPieman · 15/06/2017 at 09:51

Any rookie you bring in now is likely to be there round 23. For me if it was Bolton & using a trade vs a donut I'd take the donut. You don't want him anywhere near your field in the run home. Ainsworth if you can afford it is a much better cover option. But it's situational based on each persons team

    Mugshot · 15/06/2017 at 11:18

If you have won your two byes like me, take a doughnut and save a presious trade. I assume you are going for league.

Winter · 15/06/2017 at 09:19

Fyfe started the season with 108, 117, 113, 107, 126
Is it worth keeping him to see how he goes for the first few weeks after the bye before we trade him

    Holty · 15/06/2017 at 09:51

Yep. Imo, if you still need to make any upgrades, do them first. Fyfe will be a luxury trade for me if he is still struggling over the next few weeks. Fyfe has been playing sore for close to a month (dont quote me on that) so may be a reason for him under performing of late

    INPieman · 15/06/2017 at 09:52

    I think so

    Jupitor · 15/06/2017 at 11:16

    Absolutely. He will come good.

Jack · 15/06/2017 at 09:38

I'm a Scott Selwood upgrade away from full premium coming out of the byes. Bringing in Luke Ryan, Jack Macrae and Elliot Yeo this week for David Swallow, Tim Taranto and Mitch Hannan. I'm left with no cash and 9 trades but all my rookies are getting games so pretty happy with where I've come out after a disappointing start to the year!

    INPieman · 15/06/2017 at 09:54

Great trades Jack. 2 trades to get rid of scooter leaving you with 7 is a good spot to be in

ProTravo · 15/06/2017 at 09:48

Heard that Goldy might be on the way out for Preuss and that he won't be named to play this weekend.
Anyone heard any whispers on this?

    Dildor · 15/06/2017 at 09:50

    Please god no.

    INPieman · 15/06/2017 at 10:08

Haven't heard that one. There is no way Preuss plays in favour of Goldy. It's either both or Pruess plays VFL. Unless Goldy is injured

      ProTravo · 15/06/2017 at 10:12

I hope you're right Pieman. I brought Goldy in when Sandi first went out and I'm not ready to part ways yet.
We will find out when team are names tonight.

        INPieman · 15/06/2017 at 10:26

I don't think Preuss will play again until they have no mathematical chance of playing finals

    Goat · 15/06/2017 at 11:16

    Please god yes.

      Randomcliche2 · 15/06/2017 at 13:26

Sick, you've still got Preuss or just love others misfortune?

KrazeeEyezK1lla · 15/06/2017 at 09:54

Eddy to C Brown and bank the 25k? not much gain, but both not playing this week. Eddy doesn't look like playing at all and Brown seems like he'll get some games.

    INPieman · 15/06/2017 at 10:09

Wait till Brown is on the bubble. A trade is not worth 25k unless that makes a spectacular difference to an upgrade

    Derek · 15/06/2017 at 12:33

    waste of a trade

      KrazeeEyezK1lla · 15/06/2017 at 12:58

      true

KrazeeEyezK1lla · 15/06/2017 at 09:58

also, thoughts on holding onto Zak Jones this week? I was originally going to trade him out and bring in Lynch from gold coast, but with in form leaping Liam Jones potentially playing on him, Lynch may not get a massive score?

Z Jones could play a fair bit in the guts of what will probably be a pretty contested game. gettable BE of 75 too, so can't see him bleeding much cash, if anything.

    INPieman · 15/06/2017 at 10:19

If someone had of told me in the preseason you'll be worried about bringing a bloke in round 13 because of Liam Jones I would have wet my pants. But your point is valid. He kept Patton quiet last week & he's mobile. I decided to pass on Lynch a few days ago for the same reason. I'd rather play Steele instead. Hold Zak Jones for another week

      KrazeeEyezK1lla · 15/06/2017 at 10:33

think I already made my decision internally, and this helps. holding zak jones

Osei · 15/06/2017 at 10:08

Hey Guys,
Heeney or Wallis? Can't split em right now, the dogs good fixture makes me want to get Wallis but the fact the swans are starting to get busy makes me want Heeney

    Heeney

Thomas · 15/06/2017 at 10:14

Babatundi · 15/06/2017 at 10:20

    KrazeeEyezK1lla · 15/06/2017 at 10:47

if they're all scoring 100's consistently, I don't see a problem with it. I've got all 4 of them

    Iamme · 15/06/2017 at 11:51

They are all playing consistently and have all had their bye…. so why not?

H Lee · 15/06/2017 at 10:37

dusty or bont this week?

    KrazeeEyezK1lla · 15/06/2017 at 10:48

Can see the swans putting a lot of work into trying to restrict Dusty. whether or not it works is another thing

FizzEm · 15/06/2017 at 10:46

Who's going to finish the season strongest out of selwood or dusty? Or is there another midfielder to consider… zerret as a pod maybe??

Andrew · 15/06/2017 at 10:59

Who should I trade Sandi to? I'm thinking going a bit left field and going Goldy hopefully Preuss doesn't get back into the 22 (already have Witts).
Thoughts?

    Aspromind · 15/06/2017 at 11:12

Don't trade him. You have hung on this long so silly to waste a trade especially when he will be back better than ever round 14. He has been more than serviceable. Of course if you have 14 trades you can afford to waste one but I suspect you being a bit trigger finger, you are probably into single figure trades.

Rick · 15/06/2017 at 11:03

Heeney or Parker?

    Derek · 15/06/2017 at 12:33

can't compare. one is forward and other is a mid.

heeney will be close to top 6 forwards. parker is not top 8 mids.

INPieman · 15/06/2017 at 11:03

      whoops haha

jez_m · 15/06/2017 at 11:23

With Vickers-Willis injured and Jack Steele seemingly dropped, it looks like I'll be fielding 17 players this week. And that's only if Bolton and Mitch Hibberd both get named.

The question now is, do I bring in Yeo for Steele to compensate for the loss of a premo, or go with my original plan of bringing in Scott Selwood for Myers?

    INPieman · 15/06/2017 at 11:30

It's going to be donut city this week. You won't be alone

      jez_m · 15/06/2017 at 13:07

Yep, certainly won't Pieman. Sometimes even the best laid plans can turn to donkey droppings.

Sammy · 15/06/2017 at 11:25

Which option? Bear in mind i already have 18 players playing
Option 1: Myers – non playing rookie and Hannan – Heeney (leaves me with 5k and one more fwd spot)
Option 2: Myers – Hibberd NM (if named obviously, leaves me with 200k and i have 19 playing this week)
Option 3: Hannan – Non playing rookie and Myers – Parker (leaves me with 36k and 1 more mid spot)

Leaning towards option 1. Option 2 gives me 19 players, but not sure i need the extra cash as i will be downgrading next week for Luke Ryan. And im not sure Parker is a top 10 mid from here on.

Jimmy · 15/06/2017 at 11:39

Is it worth trading out Fyfe or Heppell to someone like Bont to avoid a donut? Going for rank. Only 8 trades left after this week if I do make that trade and 3 off full premium with 160k in bank.

    Marcus · 15/06/2017 at 15:22

    I would hold

Joshua · 15/06/2017 at 11:44

Steele to franklin or heeney?

Derek · 15/06/2017 at 11:45

as part of my effort to get Docherty into my team this week, i am looking at the Fallen Premiums for some value.

Lynch stands out in the forward line, but i'm not a big fan of key position players. Lloyd in defense, but will wait another week for his price fall.

in the midfield there is some chatter about Parker, but the one i'd like to get people's thoughts on is Matt Priddis. Only $478k fallen $115k from his starting price. I had him penciled into my top 8 mids at the start of the year.

Is in only 2.8% of teams.

He was averaging a reasonable 104 up to round 9. Last 3 games before the bye he scored 73, 81, 80. I think the Bye came at the right time for him.

What has caught my eye the most is that WCE play 4 of their next 5 at Home. We all know that WCE are a top 4 team when they play at home. Priddis's scores at home this year have been 110, 107, 120, 106 & 81 (GWS).

WCE away games for the rest of the season, they play 3 out of the 4 at Etihad Stadium where Priddis averages 109.

the only down side to his draw is the last two weeks they play GWS(A) and Crows(H) for our finals.

what do you reckon fellas, thanks fellas….

    Keenbutclueless · 15/06/2017 at 11:57

My gut feel is that he and Sam Mitchell are cannibalising each other's points to a degree. Like you I considered Priddis at the start of the year, but his output was consistently down when NicNat didn't play. Putting a line through blokes with a great track record is fraught with danger, but if I had to make a call I would say he is done from an SC relevance perspective.

    Moonsoon · 15/06/2017 at 12:05

Grab Fyfe as he will finish strongly esp with a fresh Sandi.

      Derek · 15/06/2017 at 12:24

brillent. only problem is that i'm one of the other 118, 000 who already have him.

        Big G · 15/06/2017 at 13:07

I think Priddis is always a reliable option, but I don't see him putting up huge scores that could be the difference between winning and losing at this stage of the year. Someone like the Bont may be less consistent in playing good games, but when goes big, he goes big.

          Derek · 15/06/2017 at 13:17

i can see him scoring 106 ave for the rest of the year, maybe a bit higher because of the home games. If that gets me Docherty this week, i might take that.

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 15/06/2017 at 13:06

Pridda has has 2 constants affect his scoring this year.

A guy called mitchell who has a similar role as a clearance machine.

No dreadlocked Nic Nat tapping it down his throat

      Derek · 15/06/2017 at 13:18

      he has alot of upside

        TRIGGER HAPPY · 15/06/2017 at 13:22

As usual u will do your due diligence and make your own call.

          The Ranger · 15/06/2017 at 13:27

Parker did look good last week eh Trig?
It looked to me like he was playing more mid and less fwd time too.

          Derek · 15/06/2017 at 13:27

having a close look at Luke as well. Already have JPK and Hanners so a turd…. i mean third, swan seems a bit too many

            Randomcliche2 · 15/06/2017 at 13:33

Not if they win out from here! It will however make captaincy/vc issues a bit harder.

              Derek · 15/06/2017 at 13:50

i agree. Swans still have plenty to say about how the final 8 will look.

However they are just a loss or two away from packing up for the year.

                Randomcliche2 · 15/06/2017 at 16:18

I agree with general negative sentiments on Priddis for what it's worth. Didn't start any WC players because there was too much risk with sMitchell and NicNac impacts. And yeah, Parker is tricky, but I think the points are there to be had if he wants them. It's just that at this time, if you're doing your last upgrade you kinda want to sink all your cash into them for a Rocky Jelwood even Gaz or Dusty. There may be a cheap R.Gray soon if he gets out of the forward line as well. God knows when. So yeah for value upgrade I'd stick to Parker over Priddis, but nothing is perfect at that price point.

    Juzzy · 15/06/2017 at 14:19

    Hi Derek.

I bought in Priddis as a proven, M8, POD 4 weeks ago so I copped his 3 stinky scores and resultant price drop.
My decision to bring him in unfortunately coincided with two concerning points. First rumours of the Eagles being reluctant to renew his contract for next year. Secondly he began attending far fewer centre bounces than usual.

They have recently signed him for next year so, fingers crossed, he gets back to his best soon.

Just some food for thought. Good luck.

    Wattsieesq · 15/06/2017 at 17:31

Hey Derek, Priddis just resigned with WC so hopefully that is a weight off his shoulders. The concerning thing about Priddis is that his tackle numbers are down and he's not getting the pill as much due to being used up forward more this year. I'd back him in with 7 of the last 11 being at Domain but I'd want to see some form before bringing him in.

Holty · 15/06/2017 at 11:47

Well everything i said about steele i take back. He has been dropped so trade away. Lol

Bottom · 15/06/2017 at 11:49

Powell pepper -> macrae and then swing him forward next week

Or since powell pepper has a fairly low break even and port are vsing brisbane should i hold another week

    jez_m · 15/06/2017 at 13:09

I'd probably grab Macrae. Powell-Pepper should go well against Brisbane but now is the time to be upgrading rookies to premium players.

James Sykes · 15/06/2017 at 11:54

So I have the ability to go Fyfe to Ablett this week.

For some reason I am actually considering it.

Could someone please talk me out of this………..

Cheers

    Waterloo · 15/06/2017 at 12:03

He has had his rest as has Sandi and will do ok from here on end. Fyfe won't be in the Gazza league but will be in the 105-110 area and you save a trade. I talked myself out of Fyfe for Dusty.

      Leigh · 15/06/2017 at 18:34

I did too! Made the right decision I think! Still a tough call!!!

    Derek · 15/06/2017 at 12:31

Fyfe is still the 21st highest ranked player in Supercoach. Even though he has only reached 100+ on 6/12 games, he has also had a 99, 99 & 98. (only 3 sub 98 scores).

it will cost you $114k to trade up, hard earned cash.

    jez_m · 15/06/2017 at 13:10

In a year where cash is hard to come by, do you really want to spend 100K+ on a sideways trade?

    James Sykes · 15/06/2017 at 14:20

    Thanks guys.

With a bit of trading magic I have been able to get Gaz and still keep Fyfe.

EVW, Barret and Berry into L Ryan, S Bolton and Gazza.

Dont normally like to trade into a bye player but what ya gunna do!

Joshua · 15/06/2017 at 11:56

Franklin or Heeney for Steele?

    Iamme · 15/06/2017 at 12:06

Tough one, Heeneys in red hot form but Buddys got a lot of history on his side…. maybe toss a coin. I traded in both as Steel dropped and WHE got the bye.

    NickMacMan · 15/06/2017 at 12:19

    heeney

    Derek · 15/06/2017 at 12:47

heeney has plenty of competition for his midfield role.

Mills will be getting more time once Mcveigh gets back, paply was in the guts last week, Jack is in there, Lloyd, Jones…

Buddy IS the swans forward line.

iLoveNMFC · 15/06/2017 at 12:12

Rocky or Selwood?

    Derek · 15/06/2017 at 12:45

    Selwood for me.

Rocky had his arm ripped out of its socket a few weeks ago.

    The Ranger · 15/06/2017 at 12:48

Selwood is the safer option but Rocky does like the back half of the season…

Iconic · 15/06/2017 at 12:22

Is it worth going: A. Sandilands >> T. Lynch (GCS) via T. Nankervis?

    NickMacMan · 15/06/2017 at 12:24

I was considering the exact same trade so curious as to what other people think

    Derek · 15/06/2017 at 12:44

that is about as sideways as it gets.

except for having an extra player this week, i'm not sure what that trade achieves. sandi and lynch will score very similar for the rest of the year.

you take away your ruck backup

    waste of a trade

      Iconic · 15/06/2017 at 13:30

Plan was never to keep Sandy though – will trade Nankervis for premium ruck sooner or later…

    jez_m · 15/06/2017 at 13:10

    Yes for mine.

    Alby · 15/06/2017 at 14:12

    did that last week

Mickey P · 15/06/2017 at 12:25

Need community guidance please – Currently ranked 133 and have been top 500 all year, has never happened before …. BUT …. round 13 is a killer for my mid premiums as I have Kelly, Titch, Pendles, Treloar and Fyfe all missing, not to mention Adams and Laird down back and Greene up forward.

Projected for only 1650'ish, which I suspect will result in me plummeting down the rankings 🙁

Current team:
Back – Doch, Laird, Adams, Hibberd, Lloyd, Newman, (Ryan/Stewart) with Adams Laird and Ryan on bye
Mid – Danger, Titch, Pendles, Kelly, Treloar, Bont, Fyfe, Taranto (Barrett/Myers/Cousins) with almost all on bye 🙁
Ruck – Witts, Nank (Strnadica)
Fwd – Yeo, Dalh, Greene, Lynch, Wallis, Steele (Bolton/Greenwood) with Greene and Greenwood on bye and Steele dropped

13 trades and $124k only, so current thinking is
Taranto > Scooter, means Scooter is M8 until I upgrade him later
Steele > Heeney, finishes my forward line
this gets me to high 1700's (not enough) …. so do I then do
Treloar > ANYONE (ablett, Rocky, Dusty etc) and get to mid 1900's

Any help would be very greatly received

    ToneStar · 15/06/2017 at 12:42

Trade Treloar, you only get one chance to win 50k. Go for it mate and good luck.

      Mickey P · 15/06/2017 at 12:57

Thanks mate, just thought of another scenario, keep Treloar and trade Fyfe but only allows a premium, not uber premium, so maybe JPK for example. This means I run from here on with a Treloar/JPK combo, versus a Dusty/Fyfe combo?

    The Ranger · 15/06/2017 at 13:00

You've got a nice amount of trades left so definitely use all three.
Can you hold Treloar and trade Fyfe and still get someone decent?
If not I'd do the Treloar trade and get Selwood.

      Mickey P · 15/06/2017 at 15:51

Thanks Ranger, yeah was thinking the same thing, I could trade Fyfe and get someone a bit cheaper, like JPK.

That means I run a combo of Treloar/JPK vs Fyfe/Dusty

        The Ranger · 15/06/2017 at 16:03

I'd be happy with JPK mate. He'll get you a 110av from here you'd think.

    Dougal · 15/06/2017 at 13:07

Nice job to be ranked 133 🙂

Agree with the Taranto trade, just always concerned about Scooter's injury history.
I'm planning on making the Steele –> H trade (shame that Steele's output has dropped, he was looking good there)
My concern is with the Treloar trade, what about trading Fyfe instead? Can see Treloar averaging much more in the run home especially with Fyfe's injury speculation.

    HallyMate · 15/06/2017 at 13:12

Could you afford fyfe to selwood?

      Mickey P · 15/06/2017 at 15:52

I wish – just come up short unfortunately

    Keenbutclueless · 15/06/2017 at 14:21

If young Hibberd is named, I would suggest

    Taranto
    Myers
    Steele

    For

    Hibberd
    Heeney
    Scooter

Means you don't need to trade Fyfe. Gives you a Steele upgrade and gives you 3 warm bodies into your side this week

Marcus · 15/06/2017 at 12:28

Is it worth trading Powell pepper to Scott Selwood? I only got 9 trades and doubt I will be able to get my 8th premo

    Randomcliche2 · 15/06/2017 at 17:13

    Did it weeks ago!

Borko · 15/06/2017 at 12:28

JJK vs Tom Lynch
Macrae vs Yeo

Who will score more from next week (assuming JJK comes back then)

    Randomcliche2 · 15/06/2017 at 17:16

You'd think macrae beats Yeo. You've got a bigger injury risk in JJK although both have lovely draws coming home.

Patch · 15/06/2017 at 12:48

Thanks for that helpful reminder on Houli you bastard <3

Really like Westhoff as a POD. Would have gone there myself a few weeks ago if it weren't for his chances of being thrown forward for a few weeks and disappearing. When he plays loose man bag or CHF, he's a genuine pick – at FF worries me. More consistent options out there, but with Port in the form they're in, he could… Power… home (geddit?)

    LEKD0G · 16/06/2017 at 16:29

    yo…lo

Dougal · 15/06/2017 at 13:00

Hi guys,

Been a while since posting in this fabulous community. Thanks to LekDog as always for the cheat sheet.

Would like some opinions on my planned trades for the week;
Myers –> Ryan (via Adams DPP)
Powell-Pepper –> J Selwood
Steele –> Heeney

The only issue I see is that it moves Adams into an already full midfield and will have to trade a DEF for MID next week to get him back there to avoid playing T Stewart on field.

Leaves me with touch over 1K in the bank with completed forward and midfield lines and two defence upgrades to go (Marchbank and Newman) with 11 trades.

Thoughts community? Thanks in advance.

    jez_m · 15/06/2017 at 13:12

Those trades seem okay without seeing your whole side. You could always trade in Mitch Hibberd from North later on to create a swing between DEF and MID.

    Redgumwon · 15/06/2017 at 13:19

I was thinking similar to you Dougal in trading Steele to Heeney or Yeo. When you think about the trade most of are in the same boat and have Steels. Very Similar to all those trading out Fyfe. Steele may only be out a week and come back into the side. If he does come back in fast he'll be a very good POD like Fyfe if you hold them? So I'm going to hold Steele & Fyfe at this stage.

I'd trade Powell Pepper & Myers to Joel Selwood & Ryan if you can and still hold Steele.

      Dougal · 15/06/2017 at 13:29

      Thanks for the advice Red,

My issue now is that if I hold Steele, I'll only have 16 warm bodies for this round. I'm holding Fyfe so at least I'll have one of them 😉

        Redgumwon · 15/06/2017 at 13:31

Dougal are you playing for leagues or overall rank? If leagues then look at who you are playing, chances are they'll have both Fyfe and Steele? If you're going for overall rank then you might want to trade away?

NickMacMan · 15/06/2017 at 13:11

Who is best replacement for Steele?? (currently have Yeo, Heeney, Macrae, Dahl and Nank)

Cheers boys

    INPieman · 15/06/2017 at 13:25

    Buddy or Lynch

      Jim_bob321 · 15/06/2017 at 13:42

      Justin Westhoff

Top hawk · 15/06/2017 at 13:15

I am grabbing Tom J Lynch just because I already have buddy boy. He is awesome value right now. As you don't have Buddy, he may just have right of way ahead of Lynch. Cheers

Gogzsta · 15/06/2017 at 13:36

How many trades will everyone have left post bye? Starting to get nervous with only SEVEN left (have had between 10 & 14 trades left in previous years post bye rounds) and 1 player away from full premium. How's everyone's comfort levels with amount of trades left?

    INPieman · 15/06/2017 at 13:52

Looks like i'll have 10 now after Jack Steele. There will be plenty with less than 7 & when Gawn presents as an option they will have a tough call to make. We have been reasonably lucky with injuries so far. If there is a run with injuries to popular players many will be stuffed

    Derek · 15/06/2017 at 13:56

i'm in a world of pain. have 10 left after this week and still 3 upgrades away from full premium. Might take me 7 trades to do the upgrades.

    Ben · 15/06/2017 at 14:01

    11 maybe 10

      The Ranger · 15/06/2017 at 14:18

10 left and 2.5 away from premo. Newman is the 0.5. He might just have to stay at D6.

Don't Blush Baby · 15/06/2017 at 13:37

Looks like everyones FWD line will eventually cancel out on Gamedays, not too may variances, maybe Buddy & Lynch are the obvious, most won't have both.

    INPieman · 15/06/2017 at 13:57

Agree on that. Dahl MacRae Yeo Nank everyone will have & probably 2 of Buddy Lynch or Heeney

      The Ranger · 15/06/2017 at 14:15

Pedersen has been a handy POD but he's running out of legs and will prob have to go once Gawn comes back.

    Goat · 15/06/2017 at 14:28

I experimented this year. I started the year with 6 "potential premo" forwards who I vowed not to trade. I still have 5: Dahl, Macrae, T Lynch (GC), Gunston and Roughead. (Broke my vow and traded Roo out on the first injury). Not much cash generation in that group. I still think Gunston and Roughy are potential PODs moving forward and I have pain elsewhere. Nank will come in when I get Gawn and I am considering whether Roughy may be the upgrade to achieve that. I like the Gunston POD because I don't want my team to be the same as my opponents.

Jim_bob321 · 15/06/2017 at 13:42

What do u guys think of Taranto to S Selwood?

    iLoveNMFC · 15/06/2017 at 14:33

    Lock it in big boy.

    jez_m · 15/06/2017 at 19:57

    Yep, go for it.

NickMacMan · 15/06/2017 at 13:44

Do i bring in a cheap DPP for myers or a final cash cow, 2 away from full premo which i will achieve next week so don't know if i really need another cash cow plus i can get another player on the ground this week.

If that makes any sense let me know what you reckon boys

    Derek · 15/06/2017 at 13:52

i think Pieman said that as well. Any rookie you bring in now you will have for the rest of the year. won't have a chance to cash them

    a DPP is essential

      Don't Blush Baby · 15/06/2017 at 13:57

Some coaches will be looking DPP donuts now, generate cash & loop

      INPieman · 15/06/2017 at 14:07

Yep. Be very considerate of any rookie now. Make sure they serve a purpose. DPP almost mandatory

        Derek · 15/06/2017 at 14:15

if hibberd (norf) gets a game this week, that will let me get docherty (trade Stewart to hibberd) and allow 18 onfield.

even if he doesn't play again for the whole year, his DPP will be vital to swing Adams and Lloyd around

Vicki · 15/06/2017 at 14:06

Hi Community
Please help. I'm a first year SuperCoach player so I appreciate all the help I can get.
Is it time for Matt Crouch to go. Looking at either dusty or Ablett, best option between these 2 please.
Also Steele out best option between Heeney and Yeo.
Thank you.

    Mavs17 · 15/06/2017 at 14:09

Depends on what your team looks like, how many trades and what rookies you have.

But if i had to chose, would be Dusty and Yeo

      INPieman · 15/06/2017 at 14:48

Agree with Mavs. But not much between Dusty & Gary

        Vicki · 15/06/2017 at 16:26

        Thanks mavs and pieman

Ben · 15/06/2017 at 14:09

fyfe – bont
roughead- heeney
hannan-bolton
leaves cash in bank to get llyod in next week for berry.
leaves me with 9 trades after all 4 and one way from full premo which plans to be gawn.

Stupid Coach · 15/06/2017 at 14:09

Thoughts Community on Steele to S Selwood (via Bolton DPP) and PP to Heeney (via Dahl DPP).
Posted my team earlier. Would love to get Jackson Macrae in as second trade, however, just short in terms of cash to make this happen if I go Steele to S Selwood as planned. Could go Steele to Macrae, however, it only leaves me with around $10,000 which is not much to do anything else unless I can find someone to downgrade Myers to. HELP!!!
Only 16 players on the field. 14 trades left.

Thanks community.

    Rick Grimes · 15/06/2017 at 14:25

I think the first trade makes sense. Scooter will score as good if not better than Steele. You've got 14 trades which is not too bad. Go with your gut.

      Stupid Coach · 15/06/2017 at 16:23

Thanks Rick. Gone with the Steele to S Selwood trade. Your (and any one else's) thoughts on Wallis instead of Macrae and would Myers to M Hibberd be a good downgrade option if named.

        Randomcliche2 · 15/06/2017 at 16:37

Wallis risky. Kick to handball ratio is horrible.

Wedge · 15/06/2017 at 14:19

With news that Steele won't play would it be absolutely crazy to trade him to Liam Jones?

    Don't Blush Baby · 15/06/2017 at 14:34

Yes it would be crazy, I'm trading up to Heeney

    Dice · 15/06/2017 at 14:35

    ahhhh yep

    The Ranger · 15/06/2017 at 14:58

    Yep. Bonkers.

    Bradk · 15/06/2017 at 15:04

That would be stupid imo sorry.

One decent game doesn't change the fact that he's only ever averaged 58 in a year.

Do you have any ruck dpp or other fwds to upgrade to?

    INPieman · 15/06/2017 at 15:07

I'd be looking for another week of evidence first. But I see he's a popular trade in

      Bradk · 15/06/2017 at 15:09

He also scored an out of character 102 last year, aftwr he scored a 49… then went on to score a 31..

        skdo · 15/06/2017 at 15:25

His playing in defence that is the difference

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 15/06/2017 at 16:32

Take some serious testicular fortitude but boy would you get yourself a pod.

Was one if the main reasons the blues won last week got a new lease on life down back.

After 1 game. Man. Watermelon sized plums.
Could he follow in Howes footsteps?

    Randomcliche2 · 15/06/2017 at 16:46

Just did that with my 4th last rrade. Hope it works. I'd suggested it to a mate pre-steele out. I think it's a valid risky early move. I will be happy with 90 avg from here out, but we have no way forecasting off one game. He might just turn out to be like most mediocre defenders. I hope not, but it's nothing more than a hope.

      TRIGGER HAPPY · 15/06/2017 at 16:53

4th last trade on that [email protected]

It's a risk but thats all this game is. Go for it! Comes off puts you ahead.

    B-rian · 15/06/2017 at 21:53

Averaged around 130 in his previous 4 vfl games before scoring 100 last week. I'm not a Carlton fan but I watched that game and he was brilliant. Dominated Patton.
If he scores well this week then I'll be making this trade next week.

jez_m · 15/06/2017 at 14:21

Some VC/C options for this week if anyone is interested.

Danger – last 4 vs WC averages 127
Selwood – last 3 vs WC averages 112
Goldy – last 4 vs St Kilda averages 127
JPK – last 3 vs Rich averages 129
Gray – last 4 vs BL averages 122
Lynch – last 4 vs Carl averages 119
Dahlhaus – last 4 vs Melb averages 119

    Keenbutclueless · 15/06/2017 at 14:52

Danger looks the obvious VC choice tonight. Me and the rest of the competition! Will have JPK as my fall back option if Danger spuds it up.

    Danger into Ablett for me.

Trading steele to goldstein via dpp (nank)

Have all the good fwds, and while i think Goldy will improve on his average, he only needs to keep up the 95 ave to be better than any other fwd i dont have.

Good move?

Team is now full premium except for Greenwood.

7 trades left

ChasingFinals17 · 15/06/2017 at 15:19

Ok so here are trades I did what do you think?

Fyfe>Ryan via Adams as dpp
Taranto>Macrae
SPP>Yeo

    Bradk · 15/06/2017 at 15:31

Good addpend of cash. Yeo and macrae are must have fwds. Just need to build up your mids asap

      Bradk · 15/06/2017 at 15:33

Its all about how you think fyfe will go. His recent comment at least explains why his scores have been down. Surely his pains will mend and he will be back to a 110 average. Just look at treloars recent form, and the amount of people that traded him out.

        ChasingFinals17 · 15/06/2017 at 15:37

Yeah but will it be too late in the season

      ChasingFinals17 · 15/06/2017 at 15:36

Midfield is done in my opinion

Danger, Jelwood, Pendles, Adams, Yeo, Rocky, Murph and the BONT

        Bradk · 15/06/2017 at 16:08

Yeah, but Adams in the mid is a waste

          Bradk · 15/06/2017 at 16:08

          Same as yeo

            Bradk · 15/06/2017 at 16:11

That would be the 2nd best defender and best fwd taking space in your mids. You honestly wont be chasing finals sorry

+1 all he's got to do and see what an upgrade to say SoG Dusty or JPK from his f6 or d6 and he'll see he ain't done….

Adam · 15/06/2017 at 15:25

Need one more player in the midfield to be full premo around $500k to $560k? I'm thinking of bringing in Clayton Oliver

Any suggestions ?

    Bradk · 15/06/2017 at 15:29

For that price, yeah clayton oliver. Very consistent.

But I'd personally recommend finding the 30-40k $ and upgrading to a Dustin or Ablett (dam right) type of player.

      Adam · 15/06/2017 at 15:30

Players already in my midfield are Dangerfield, Martin, Pendlebury, Kennedy, Bont, Fyfe, Ablett

        Cogla13 · 15/06/2017 at 17:16

Jelwood is value at the moment.

Rick Grimes · 15/06/2017 at 15:38

Chance Steele dropped as a wake up call and will be in a week or two?

    Bradk · 15/06/2017 at 15:53

Very likely. But f*@$# steele. He's been getting little tog as it is. I started with him because he showed the potential in his nab games to average 90-100. He got close, and it is great that he increased his average by 25 points. But in reality its a great time to move him on. He has a breakeven higher than hos best score this year, and he was always a 'hit and miss' punt or an upgrade option. He has proved to be the latter.

      Rick Grimes · 15/06/2017 at 16:08

Heeney a good alternative. I'm already shifting Roughy to Macrae. Will give forward line of: Dahl, Mccrae, Franklin, Heeney, Yeo, TLynch.

        Bradk · 15/06/2017 at 16:15

That would be pretty much the best 6 top fwds there are.

      whatyasmokin · 15/06/2017 at 19:11

Yep ditch him before he burns.

Bradk · 15/06/2017 at 15:42

Find 50k more and get rockliff or mitchell.
Oliver has been amazing this year and is a good option for the price.

But there is a great amount of risk associated with getting a player that has already increased 170k this year. He would indeed be 'rewriting the rules' to keep this effort up

Sammy · 15/06/2017 at 15:44

Anyone thinking about not VCing Danger? Thinking he is due for a bad game

    FizzEm · 15/06/2017 at 15:50

The day u dont VC him he will bust out a 150+. Get on him

    Finnius123 · 15/06/2017 at 16:02

    too risky

    Randomcliche2 · 15/06/2017 at 16:56

    No.

    milk · 15/06/2017 at 17:04

Silly, even if you are right you have the rest of the weeks games to choose a captain. Very possible he goes big and every man and his dog gets 300+ from him

Jim · 15/06/2017 at 15:52

Looking at Neale, Bont or Ablett for my final mid spot?

    Bradk · 15/06/2017 at 15:59

All great options. Neale has his bye, so that could trouble you. I honestly like ablett but are too scared he will be rested. So:

Risk: Ablett (hoping he wont have another rest)
Little risk: Bont – he's a gun but might have trouble averaging more than gaz.

Or… Neale: the current pig at Fre. If you dont need anoyher mud playing this week then hes is both the safest and probably the best point scoring option.

    INPieman · 15/06/2017 at 16:44

Trade dependant. Bont more durable. Plenty of trades go Gary. Low on trades go Bont

      Jim · 15/06/2017 at 17:11

Yeah low on trades so probably not great to get Ablett in, but do you think Bont over Neale? As Brad said, besides the one poor week, even when Freo are losing Neale is still scoring well. Can't say the same for the Bont

Norm · 15/06/2017 at 16:12

Suppose if Docherty went down in the first minute like J Lloyd did. Imagine the trading frenzy for him in a couple of weeks.

    skdo · 15/06/2017 at 17:25

Same can be said for any premo why the doc

    Derek · 15/06/2017 at 20:08

    Stupid talk

Liam · 15/06/2017 at 16:16

Heeny Jjk, lynch or Wallis if I get Wallis I'll have dahlias, McRae and bont which could be a worry

smart as s · 15/06/2017 at 16:16

still deciding whether to get lloyd a week early for a better rd 13 score. and that would be for stewart. can save about 60 k if i wait till next week, but i wont need the cash, although the cash might help later in the season.

    smart as s · 15/06/2017 at 16:18

that's it, i have decided, got lloyd in…YOLO

      Finnius123 · 15/06/2017 at 17:14

        thanks will wait a week

Budgie63 · 15/06/2017 at 16:18

My team is almost complete and I have 7 trades remaining.
JJK to Macrae, yes or no?

    Stupid Coach · 15/06/2017 at 16:24

Yes. Likely to be more consistent even if he is unlikely to score big. However, I would leave for this week and consider next week if JJK is not named.

    INPieman · 15/06/2017 at 16:43

No guarantee JJK will be back next week. Simmo didn't sound optimistic. If that completes your team with 6 trades remaining then I think it's a good move. But if you needed to upgrade some other players I'd hold off

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 15/06/2017 at 16:43

    Not complete without jack fwd

    SCdonkey · 15/06/2017 at 17:45

I should've traded JJK when he got injured, by holding i ended up having 17 players onfield in Rd11. So I'd be pressing that trade button this week.

      Budgie63 · 15/06/2017 at 20:04

Thanks guys, I've made the trade at the 11th hour. Bit nervous about 6 remaining trades but all lines have good coverage.

Dice · 15/06/2017 at 16:30

Does anyone know which Geelong emergencies travelled to Perth?
I see Wylie Buzza is an emergency, not sure whether he's been in the 25 yet this year. Could be a late in

    BrownlowBoy · 15/06/2017 at 16:40

    Ruggles I believe went.

      Dice · 15/06/2017 at 16:47

TRIGGER HAPPY · 15/06/2017 at 16:40

I wouldn't lock the doc as c this week
Probably likely to ton up but nothing massive

We all saw what Sydney did to great effect on JJ last week.

Surely they will at least try the same on Doc as it was such a success and they need to limit his influence

Joe · 15/06/2017 at 17:14

Who to bring in for Fyfe: Selwood, Dusty, GAJ. Splitting hairs over this

Current midfield premos: Danger Pendles Mitchell Bont Treloar Wines

    Joe · 15/06/2017 at 17:15

+ JPK to my current premos

      skdo · 15/06/2017 at 17:23

Selwood and Dusty are very consistant and can get big point as well as there bodies are reliable and the less prone to getting rested or ommitted compared to ablett.Either JSellwood or Dusty cant go wrong with either imo

    BrownlowBoy · 15/06/2017 at 17:21

    Selwood

    redherringfc · 15/06/2017 at 18:11

Gaz if you want to roll the dice.

I won't be happy coming up against anyone with Gaz over the rest of the season.

    cobey · 15/06/2017 at 18:13

i would go selwood but there is oliver who hasnt scored under 91 all season and gawn is due back soon

    Rick Grimes · 15/06/2017 at 18:10

    Great pick.

NickMacMan · 15/06/2017 at 17:44

Alright just need a decision… BUDDY or LYNCH? no other suggestions just seriously need this decided cause I've been stressing about it all day

    redherringfc · 15/06/2017 at 18:07

    Buddy.

Surprisingly no real stinkers from him this year, unlike Lynch. And even though both can go huge Buddy will most likely do it more often. Lynch does seem to have a reasonable draw to come home with, though.

If it was my money, Buddy all the way.

    Holmes_Heroes · 15/06/2017 at 18:08

I've gone Buddy, if for no other reason he's great to watch. Lynch seems to be great value tho so can't criticise anyone going for him, I just have no read on the Suns and if you're going a key forward you're relying on them getting it into their forward line a bit.

    cobey · 15/06/2017 at 18:11

lynch has a better run home and his next 5 games are againts no teams in the top 8, but buddy has a way higher ceiling and sydneys on the way up so i would go buddy

    Goat · 15/06/2017 at 18:11

I did 2 minutes of research. I have Lynch. I don't have Buddy. Lynch is cheaper. Buddy looks to have the better run home in terms of defenders who stuff him up and the easier SC finals rounds. I'd go Buddy (but I already have 4 Swans in my team). Are the Swannies going to come home well? I'm no expert but you clearly need some response. I cannot decide it for you.

    NickMacMan · 15/06/2017 at 18:28

Who do you all think will do better this round? Lynch vs Jones, March and Plow or Bud vs Rance

SuperC · 15/06/2017 at 17:56

Any suggestions on a good upgrade for Steele.

    NickMacMan · 15/06/2017 at 18:01

Buddy or Lynch but don't know which one if somebody could please help

who do u have up forward right now

      SuperC · 15/06/2017 at 18:20

Yeo, Macrae, Dahl, Lynch Steele Pickett (Greenwood-Bye, Eddy)

        JohndJames · 15/06/2017 at 22:15

You still have Picket and Eddy ?,what have you been doing.

    Goat · 15/06/2017 at 18:12

Buddy looks good – see my post to NickMacMan.

    SuperC · 15/06/2017 at 19:24

    Cant afford Buddy

      Whatyasmokin · 16/06/2017 at 00:36

If you can't afford Buddy you won't get much of an upgrade.

      Go for a POD.

      Playing this week

Petracca (Building momentum, Gawn returning, Like their SC finals)
Caleb Daniel (The kid is averaging 27 touches and 4 tackles over the last 4 weeks.)
Paddy Ryder (Can bust out some big scores if he hits form and gets those taps to advantage)
Higgins (Gun, unreliable at times. Has only missed one game through injury. Like their SC finals)
Jack Reiwoldt (Some low, some higher weeks, not on Lynch/JJK level as a forward imo)
Josh Caddy (Hear me out……….actually I got nothin. But you never know)

Others not playing this week in order of my faves.

Lynch(Adel), J. Cameron, Walker, Hooker, Gunston, Walters.

Sully321 · 15/06/2017 at 18:10

ablett or chopsticks?

    redherringfc · 15/06/2017 at 18:20

Stay away from the chopsticks. Too much hard work. I always go for a fork, but if you can manage with Ablett, go for it.

    Danners · 15/06/2017 at 19:02

Dusty, Gaz usually gets injured around this time of the season

Nick · 15/06/2017 at 18:20

Hey all,
Trade out Jack Steele for Yeo / Bont / Kennedy or Beams?
Or DPP trade Sandi (move Nank to ruck), and bring in Dusty?

TOPHAWK1 · 15/06/2017 at 18:26

Jack Steele get on your bike buddy! You are outta here. Here are the trades I am seriously considering this week. (Unless there are some nice rooks surprises when the teams drop)

1- Otten to Luke Ryan
2- Steele to Tom J Lynch. (I already have Buddy)
3- SPP to Dustin Martin. Will leave me with $20K in the bank with 10 trades left.

I will be two short from genuine full premo.

I looks like I will only have 17 on field this week, but I have to wear the donut this week for the greater good. Otten, Steele, and SPP just have to depart this week. I will still have plenty of fattening lambs to cull (Berry and Stewart) as well as Greenwood to get me to full premo in the next two weeks.

Thoughts on my trading strategy?

    whatyasmokin · 15/06/2017 at 19:09

Like it a lot. Steele could be a really wise move to get rid of before the masses. Who knows he might not make it back into the team for a while.

Have to get Ryan before he's named for his third just for the cash. Highly doubtful Ross would dump him after last week.

iLoveNMFC · 15/06/2017 at 18:30

Trade SPP and Barrett to Mountford and Jelwood/Rockliff or hold both for this week?

    Jim_bob321 · 15/06/2017 at 18:31

Bobby Barrett has a lot of money to make in him bud

    The Ranger · 15/06/2017 at 18:52

Depends on how many trades and cash you have and how far off full premo you are doesn't it?
Barrett might make another 30K over the next few weeks but Selwood will go up by the same amount.
Rockliff will probably stay around the same but might creep up a bit.
As Pieman noted earlier be aware that any rookie you bring in now will may well still be in your team come season end.

Top Gun · 15/06/2017 at 18:30

Melican out might make it tough for some. Mountford in for those who kept him. English out. Heaps of changes for doggies fans

    Northernsoul74 · 15/06/2017 at 18:39

I told someone on here and his week to not go near Matt Boyd. Hope they listened.

Defying_Madness · 15/06/2017 at 18:31

Bolton survives. Phew

    TOPHAWK1 · 15/06/2017 at 18:38

Bewdiful. That really helps this week.

      Don't Blush Baby · 15/06/2017 at 18:47

Stengle has been named as an emergency after he was upgraded today off the rookie list

KrazeeEyezK1lla · 15/06/2017 at 18:33

Would be nice if Melican played. Might be time to go

Jim_bob321 · 15/06/2017 at 18:36

Dan Houston named!

Jim_bob321 · 15/06/2017 at 18:37

What do u guys think of Mountford as a downgrade option?

    TOPHAWK1 · 15/06/2017 at 18:39

Not much. Only played one game. I am not touching him. Id rather use a valuable trade to get Ryan in this week and cop it on the chin with one donut.

Joshua · 15/06/2017 at 18:38

Eddy or Hibberd to Mountford so I can field 18? Running out of trades though currently on 9 and 1 away from full premo

    Top Gun · 15/06/2017 at 18:39

Doesn't seem worth it. Jacobs and a few others back soon.

      Don't Blush Baby · 15/06/2017 at 18:45

I'm keeping Eddy for loops, waste of a trade Josh

    Danners · 15/06/2017 at 18:54

Not worth it, a lot of us will be copping donuts anyway

Dutch · 15/06/2017 at 18:43

Steele still named as emergency, don't expect him to be a late in (hoping though) but obviously not out of the coach's thoughts. Think I'll hold him for this week – have 19 playing, will become 20 when I trade Otten to Doc as planned – hoping Steele is still a viable F7/M9 as per my original plans, and maybe a pod to boot. Anyone else thinking the same?

    INPieman · 15/06/2017 at 18:57

Absolutely wait on Steele unless your trading to Yeo. Carlisle still 50/50. Slight chance for a reprieve

    whatyasmokin · 15/06/2017 at 19:17

50K straight to Heeney, who is playing this week and was on fire last, as well as being in good form generally speaking since his return.

You've got to be swift and decisive.

    Pman · 15/06/2017 at 19:31

Unless he is a late in I'll be dumping him and trading in ether Buddy or Mitch Wallis. Steele has been a disappointment, only plays well at Etihad and spends far too much time on the bench and has a high breakeven and will bleed tons of cash. He has to go.

      Dutch · 15/06/2017 at 19:48

Agree he seems to love Etihad – but if he does come straight back in next week St.Kilda play 3 of their next 4 weeks (after this week) at Etihad, so I'm with Pieman and holding for now. Also not sure how he plays a the MCG where StK have 2 of their last 3 games. Still a viable F7/M9 I'd suggest for those that have him already.

    Cogla13 · 16/06/2017 at 07:26

Yeh right?? Preuss is an emergency again too. Good luck with that.

Wedge · 15/06/2017 at 18:44

Steele emergency. The gods will see fit that he's a late in an pumps out 120

    INPieman · 15/06/2017 at 18:58

Nope. It will be a 150

    whatyasmokin · 15/06/2017 at 19:15

In a third of teams, dumped this week. Lost 22K, still made 100K and some decent scoring.

Time to go Steele, before he leaves burns with his 124BE, questionable tank and now JS. Thanks for the 2017 season Jack.

Paul · 15/06/2017 at 19:03

I'm completely lost what to do this week. With JJK out this week I will only have 17 playing before trades

Def: Docherty, Laird, Rance, Lloyd, Shaw, Newman (Stewart, Scharenberg)
Mid: Dangerfield, Mitchell, Bontempelli, Pendlebury, Treloar, Fyfe, Selwood, S, Barrett (Powell-Pepper, Cousins, Fisher)
Rucks: Grundy, Nankervis (Cameron)
Forwards: Macrae, Dahlhaus, Kennedy, Franklin, Lynch, Greenwood (Parsons, Eddy)

Any suggestions? 13 trades and 61.2k in the bank
Cheers

Kade Simpson named in the centre, Docherty at half back. I know Doch was named in centre last week, not sure about Simpson. Anyone able to let me know if there's any significance to this? Already have Simpson and Doch is coming in this week. Is this where they've both been set up this year? Haven't seen much of the blues except last week.

And Tuohy 15 rebound 50's and a goal.

whatyasmokin · 15/06/2017 at 19:13

Can't wait to see the mighty ruck battle of Kreuzer vs Witts!

Finnius123 · 15/06/2017 at 19:15

Not gonna lie boys I am completely screwed. One trade this week is Steele to Tom Lynch. Next week I am going Stewart and Hannan to Lloyd leaving me with some handy cash and 4 trades in the bank. This will mean my team will have Newman at D6, Fyfe at M8 and Sandiballs in the ruck. No M9/F7 loophole.

The rest of my team I am very confident in, however if there are more than 3 season ending injuries and a potential Sandi to Gawn I am f!#$ed. It is going to be straight up miracle if I can end this season looking respectable. I have been so trigger happy with my trades this year that I have let them absolutely slip down the drain. My biggest mistakes have been getting Tex Walker and trading Barrett to Swallow. Both of these moves cost me 4 trades and and a cumulative 600k. That is where my season went.

Good luck to everyone this year. I hope you didn't make as glaring mistakes as me and more than limp over the line. If no injuries strike and Newman, Fyfe and Sandi stand up I could get lucky – however the supercoach gods are never kind on people who burn through their trades quicker than Libba can sink a stubby. Fingers crossed.

Good luck to everyone else this year! – I am sorry I drowned you with my lamentations.

    Top Gun · 15/06/2017 at 19:39

Don't worry Finn. That's Supercoach for you. It can escalate you to the heights of Everest and then drop you to the depth and despair of Hades. I'm short on trades too and will watch with interest to see how the rest of the season plays out. I might encourage my players to wear bubble wrap after the byes. Good luck!

      Hawkas2017 · 15/06/2017 at 19:55

You can do it Finnis hope a menegola type player comes along and Avg 100 for the last 6 games

    hedski · 15/06/2017 at 20:02

On ya Fin, balls out woo hoo

    INPieman · 15/06/2017 at 20:13

Noble confession Finn. Your a good egg. The longer you play the game the more you appreciate trades. The best way to learn is to make mistakes & reflect on them. Your on the right path. Chin up

    Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 21:58

Yeah, it's a cunnova game lol, so easy to drop the hammer on trades and before you know it, you're toast, but it's not over for you yet mate, you'll need some luck, someone won it a few years ago having no trades left since round 13 I think, so there's hope.

    Randomcliche2 · 16/06/2017 at 01:04

Great write up Finnis, it's been a tricky year readjusting to a void cash cow rookies. I've grasshoppered along and am gunning for president no trades left comittee. You have been given a reserved spot on the board. I look forward to the first board meeting, let's say round 17. Until then trade on (sad face).

    Russty_ · 16/06/2017 at 01:38

No offence at all intended mate but….I believe for 4,….maybe 5 rounds, it's necessary to take a big one up the keister so you can make sure you have enough trades left to last ya…for the business end of the season.
What I mean is, falling in the ranks and or the leagues to make sure you have trading power come crunch time, and that means, not trading at all for 4 or 5 weeks…. cause crunch time is all that matters in the end…last 3 rounds of the regular season and 1st ,2 to 3 rounds of finals….ya just gotta have trades in reserve or ya f*cked!….cause sh*t always goes awry…..
These things, you learn after many years of F*cking up….fo sho, I know believe me….lol.

I hope you make it through bud, and still win some of your Leagues…that's what 99.9999 % of us are playing for anyway. 🙂

Joshua · 15/06/2017 at 19:17

Fyfe to Parker, wallis or Houli for the sake of fielding 18? Will leave me with 8 trades and 1 from full premo.

    Moustachio · 15/06/2017 at 19:49

    Gotta be Parker

      hedski · 15/06/2017 at 20:02

      Agreed.

        Swans2012 · 15/06/2017 at 20:11

        Yep

    Joshua · 15/06/2017 at 20:15

    or Hold?

      FizzEm · 15/06/2017 at 20:18

I'm going too hold fyfe. i think the byes come at a good time for him. i hope he comes home strong

Eskimo · 15/06/2017 at 19:17

I know Steele played a crap SC game but why was he dropped?

    Finnius123 · 15/06/2017 at 19:24

    For his terrible man bun

      Eskimo · 15/06/2017 at 19:38

      Haha! 🙂 yes very true

    Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 21:55

I know right it's a bit harsh, he was asked to play a negative tagging role and Sloane scored bugger all, and yet he gets punished for it. Maybe Richo didn't think he tagged well enough.

      JohndJames · 16/06/2017 at 02:20

Was a strange decision to drop him,I'm holding for now.

whatyasmokin · 15/06/2017 at 19:21

EVW>Ryan
Steele>Heeney

Done. No regrets there.

    TOPHAWK1 · 15/06/2017 at 19:25

    Good trades.

TOPHAWK1 · 15/06/2017 at 19:22

Which super premo to trade in tonight. Jelwood or Dusty………Its going to be one of these two in the next 45 minutes. BoyOhBoyWoWEE!
The stress!!

    leweh · 15/06/2017 at 19:24

    duussttyyy. selwood is a poonse

      FizzEm · 15/06/2017 at 19:28

Tophawk im in the same dilemma!! Ive had them both over the past 2 hours and now cannot decide!! Leaning toward jelwood purely on his cheaper price and ability to match dustys ceiling…

        TOPHAWK1 · 15/06/2017 at 19:48

Its an absolute killer decision. I already have Danger and Scooter. Are 3 Geelong midfielders in your side just pushing it a bit too much……..Those 3 will fight over the 3300 points on offer every week, whilst if I grab Dusty he has the 3300 pool of points to himself. (From a midfield perspective obviously) still thinking…….Got 20 minutes

          FizzEm · 15/06/2017 at 19:53

i already have danger and scooter as well. that's a very valid point tophawk about sharing points from the pool! if i cant decide on jelwood before the bounce i dont think we'll regret it. dusty will be as good if not better. as a POD i even thought about holding off the week and grabbing neale (560k). but his ceiling isnt as high unfortunately

            TOPHAWK1 · 15/06/2017 at 20:00

My gut says this. I have had Dusty for the last 2 years from start to finish (DPP) and has never let me down in points scored or injury.. I just have to get him in. Done. I am going Dusty.

Let me know who you go with!

              FizzEm · 15/06/2017 at 20:12

i'm off jelwood… now watch him go bonkas and pump out a 150! I think i'll grab neale next week was tradin SPP up so will hold atleast his a warm body. Neale very consistent and at that price is a bargain IMO. but then there is dusty's form and ceiling! ahhh jeeezz 🙁

    hedski · 15/06/2017 at 19:39

    Jelwood Toppa.

      TOPHAWK1 · 15/06/2017 at 19:52

Three Geelong midfielders mate!! (Got Danger and Scooter) Jezus. I want Jelwood but the three of them is turning it into a crowd! Still thinking. Got 15 minutes…….

        hedski · 15/06/2017 at 20:04

        Got them all (for now)

    Ja191 · 15/06/2017 at 19:41

in form dusty scores better then anyone else but has the occasional poor performance. Jelwood doesn't have poor performances. you'll be fine with either

      TOPHAWK1 · 15/06/2017 at 19:53

      Thanks mate. Still thinking…..LOL

        Swans2012 · 15/06/2017 at 20:09

Selwood pod factor….well not pod but smaller ownership

Adam · 15/06/2017 at 19:23

Anyone else taking a punt on Ablett?

Still unsure if I should take the punt on Ablett or pick Zorko as a pod

Suggestions?

    Eskimo · 15/06/2017 at 19:45

Ive had Ablett from the start and its's been nerve racking watching him. But great at the same time. Zorko if you don't want to cringe every time you see your player bumped.

      LEKD0G · 16/06/2017 at 16:30

I agree with all this and more^

lewyhewy · 15/06/2017 at 19:23

any good or even average downgrades for evw

    Whatyousmokin · 15/06/2017 at 20:10

    Ryan

smart as s · 15/06/2017 at 19:30

heeney or tom j lynch?

    Dutch · 15/06/2017 at 19:49

Heeney, if you don't have too many Swans already ….

jed · 15/06/2017 at 19:34

C.brown or beech as a rookie trade?

    Ja191 · 15/06/2017 at 19:35

C brown, dont see beech staying in the side

      jed · 15/06/2017 at 19:41

cheers mate i think I'm starting to think that way too

    BockChoy · 15/06/2017 at 19:40

You can hold off on either as both on bye.

      jed · 15/06/2017 at 19:41

      nah man

BockChoy · 15/06/2017 at 19:37

Carnage with EVW gone and Harbrow's suspension extended by a week… this leaves me with only 14 on the field. Am keeping to the strategy, will bring Mountford (back) in for EVW and Sandilands for Heaney (via Ryder).

Will resist the cost of an extra trade to pimp Shaw to Lloyd.

Went Heeney over Macrae as he represented better $PP value.

    BockChoy · 15/06/2017 at 19:40

Only regret is losing the DEF DPP.

    Hawks · 15/06/2017 at 19:45

Lloyd is a great trade-in next week, will drop $20k this week

Eskimo · 15/06/2017 at 19:39

Have one too many premos in mids drop Fyfe or scooter? want to keep others also have SPP for mid sub.

    Hawks · 15/06/2017 at 19:53

Scooter still making stacks of cash and will out score SPP by 20-30 points per game. I'd rather trade out SPP, and have Scooter as M9.

      Eskimo · 15/06/2017 at 20:01

yeah. i wouldnt trade out scooter this week Fyfe i would. It felt like i was wasteful having a premo on the bench. But your right why not?

FEARTHEBEARD · 15/06/2017 at 19:42

Selwood & Lynch
Bont & Buddy?

    hedski · 15/06/2017 at 19:48

    Selwood and Budwah?

      Fearthebeard · 15/06/2017 at 20:01

Yep ended up doing that had to dump greenwood instead of Myers to do it as was 20k short but so be it.

        hedski · 15/06/2017 at 20:05

Ouch, that may sting unless Myers comes good. Still like your trade ins tho.

          Fearthebeard · 15/06/2017 at 20:12

Yeh didn't wanna do it but he's bench cover regardless and brown looping with Bolton in mid to forwards I guess

Hawks · 15/06/2017 at 19:51

Went early on Liam Jones this week. Can't believe he may be SC relevant, after I thought his footy career was cooked years ago.

Went –

Sandilands to Jones (via Ryder)
Powell-Pepper to Bont

Next week-

Newman to Lloyd
Myers to a rookie mid or fwd
Parsons to Tex Walker

Can't belive Tex's price point when compared to Eddie Betts who averages 1 point more per game. Think Tex makes the perfect F6/F7 loop. When he goes big, he goes very big.

    Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 21:53

I like the Bont trade, but that's all out of those 3..Walker and Jones are spuds and classic burnmen.

    Cogla13 · 16/06/2017 at 07:39

    Tex?? You are joking right??

Shane · 15/06/2017 at 19:51

Balic to Westhoff OR Lynch (GC)

Dean · 15/06/2017 at 19:52

I cannot field 18 players this week. However I have decided to trade OUT Fyfe and Myers and bring in DUSTY& JELWOOD leaves me zero only $13k and only 16 plyrs this week but Dusty & Jelwood are only going to get much more expensive.

    Shane · 15/06/2017 at 19:54

Nice have u considered Gazza Abelett

      Dean · 15/06/2017 at 22:36

No mate, I love the guy but his shoulder concerns me.

    Randomcliche2 · 16/06/2017 at 00:53

    Mountford 3rd trade?

Max · 15/06/2017 at 19:56

Westhoff OR Lynch (GC) Having same issues as Shane

    kerm · 15/06/2017 at 19:59

Go Westhoff. A real POD and belting out some great scores max

jez_m · 15/06/2017 at 20:01

Was going to trade Myers, Shaw and Steele to Mountford, Docherty and Nankervis, but in the interest of overall point generation will go for Mountford, Roberton and Yeo.

matthewspangher · 15/06/2017 at 20:09

plenty of trades left, thinking M.crouch>bont or fyfe>bont, or will both finish stronger than the bont? thanks community

Spanner · 15/06/2017 at 20:13

Myers to Callum Brown or Declan Mountford? It has to be one of these two this week.

Don't Blush Baby · 15/06/2017 at 20:16

Yeo tagging Danger ,Scooter tagging Gaff , see what happens

Joshua · 15/06/2017 at 20:19

Hold Fyfe or trade to parker? Fielding 17 this week with a projection of 1900. Would leave me with 8 trades left and 1 away from full premo.

Defying_Madness · 15/06/2017 at 20:33

Is this the start of the Jelwood tag again? He never could handle a tag

    Whatyousmokin · 15/06/2017 at 22:29

A good tag is hard to beat. Remember that job Vince did on Danger a season or two ago?

      Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 22:37

Just out of interest, which one of you is the real one….Whatyousmokin or Whatyasmokin?….one of you has accused the other of being an impersonator and I'm confused.

        whatyousmokin · 15/06/2017 at 22:48

Lol both are the real me I discovered. I posted from my phone several times and I have a tablet and pc. One of them was ya instead of you. To make it even more confusing there was someone impersonating haha. Anyway im done with the confusion making a debate profile.

          Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 22:52

          Good call dude! :).

            Whatyasmokin · 15/06/2017 at 23:20

            Done 😉

              Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 23:21

Noice!….so now, the other guy is the imposter haha

                Whatyasmokin · 16/06/2017 at 00:02

Well I posted on this thread with my old one earlier haha

Fearthebeard · 15/06/2017 at 20:38

Sorry guys brought jelwood in. Cause he's tagged ffs.

Could of kept greenwood over Myers if I took Bont instead ffs

    redherringfc · 15/06/2017 at 20:49

24 at quarter time. Not too bad.

      Defying_Madness · 15/06/2017 at 20:50

Would be a lot lower without the free kicks. If he continues to be unable to break the tag his score will be very low tonight

BoltonsBlues · 15/06/2017 at 20:38

Ahhhh its good to have you back Danger, i missed you last week, VC/C selection was my biggest headache, this week you put that to ease

AuroraBorealis?! · 15/06/2017 at 20:42

Is it wrong to think that west coast wont ever win a grand final because they cant win on the mcg? Their pressure is so much better at Domain Stadium but they cant seem to adapt it to bigger grounds.

Finnius123 · 15/06/2017 at 20:45

Dangerfield is so good I have already put the C on Daniel Lloyd. Just about the only good thing he has done for my team.

    redherringfc · 15/06/2017 at 20:47

Eddy, for me. Got to use him for something.

    Tommo09 · 15/06/2017 at 20:51

    Don't speak too soon

      Finnius123 · 15/06/2017 at 21:15

      He'll get 150

        Tommo09 · 15/06/2017 at 21:25

He may do nothing in the second half
Or he may pull them back and win it off his own boot and get 250
        Haha, he could do anything

Top Gun · 15/06/2017 at 20:45

A lazy 58 SC points not a bad 1st quarter Danger!

    Top Gun · 15/06/2017 at 20:47

And the scary part is he's going at 60% efficiency

      hedski · 15/06/2017 at 20:49

      60 touches coming up

hedski · 15/06/2017 at 20:49

Fair qtr from Danger, SH!T from Cats tho.

Ricky · 15/06/2017 at 20:49

Which option?
Myers – Mountford (leaves me with 200k)
Myers – non playing rookie and Hannan – Heeney (only gives me 8k but will be downgrading Stewart – Ryan next week)

    Ricky · 15/06/2017 at 20:50

If i go option 1, ill have 19 players and if i go option 2, i will still have 18

    Finnius123 · 15/06/2017 at 21:29

What about Myers to Mountford and Hannan –> Lynch?

      Ricky · 15/06/2017 at 21:31

      Got Lynch last week

Top Gun · 15/06/2017 at 20:52

Yeo on Danger might be interesting

Liam · 15/06/2017 at 21:03

Should I bring in Cotchin bontempelli or Oliver??

    Finnius123 · 15/06/2017 at 21:15

    Bont

    TOPHAWK1 · 15/06/2017 at 21:38

Out of those three, I would go the Bont.

    Whatyousmokin · 15/06/2017 at 22:27

Would almost take oliver over bont and cotch. Then again bont is a bargain right now and can go big very easily.

Fearthebeard · 15/06/2017 at 21:22

Jelwood on?

    TOPHAWK1 · 15/06/2017 at 21:36

He is on, but the switch is not on. Right now its off.

      Fearthebeard · 15/06/2017 at 21:48

Regretting trading him for fyfe already

        Whatyousmokin · 15/06/2017 at 22:23

Sideways trades can burn you. Joel is a champ though and will have plenty of big games yet.

Top Gun · 15/06/2017 at 21:23

Danger has lost his double wood!

TRIGGER HAPPY · 15/06/2017 at 21:40

If yeo could clean up his disposal he would be doc like

Working the danger zone tonight

Selwood so far dead wood but we all know how they come home esp the captain.

Stickman · 15/06/2017 at 21:45

The only way for me to make cash this week is to bring in Mountford who I traded out 3 weeks ago.
What should I do?

    JDP · 15/06/2017 at 22:14

Do it m8. The only way to trade is with cash.

TOPHAWK1 · 15/06/2017 at 22:06

Dom Sheed next year. Bloody gun.

    Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 22:18

Dunno if he is yet, always seems to miss games, has missed 3 this year, and has had 3 crap scores out of his 8 games played.

Defying_Madness · 15/06/2017 at 22:08

Thank God I didn't get Selwood. First Steele now Scooter. Been a great week for me, was laughed at for passing on both of them. It aint over until the fat lady sings 🙂

    Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 22:10

Yeah, I just brought him in this week….yay!

      Defying_Madness · 15/06/2017 at 22:10

      Damn that sucks

    TOPHAWK1 · 15/06/2017 at 22:14

Thank god I didn't get Selwood. I have Scooter though. 2 is a pair, and three is a crowd. Welcome!

    Whatyousmokin · 15/06/2017 at 22:20

Steele was pretty good value for 350k if you started with him…………..passed on scooter due to low trades. Everyone knew the risks and I would've traded him in cheap as chips these things happen.

    Cogla13 · 16/06/2017 at 07:46

Started with Steele. Don't regret it at all, he's been great … but it's over now.

Joshua · 15/06/2017 at 22:09

Hold Fyfe or trade to parker? Fielding 17 this week with a projection of 1900. Would leave me with 9 trades left and 1 away from full premo. Trading Steele to Franklin also unless Steele is a late in.

    Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 22:11

Parker's been very average this year…I'd probably hold, but then again, I brought scooter in this week!

      Skinny McThin · 15/06/2017 at 22:13

      ouch!

    Whatyousmokin · 15/06/2017 at 22:16

Hold. Fyfe getting a rest, Sandi back soon. Still half a season to go practically. Luxury trade for finals time if anything.

Tommo09 · 15/06/2017 at 22:10

Danger stopping! 70SC at quarter time. Only 30 since!

    Ja191 · 15/06/2017 at 22:13

brad scott has the best player in the comp and plays him full forward… literally don't get it

      hedski · 15/06/2017 at 23:40

      Ben Brown?

        Whatyasmokin · 15/06/2017 at 23:52

        haha

    Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 22:14

He's on 101, could still go big knowing him.

      Tommo09 · 16/06/2017 at 07:11

      Finished well
      Great VC score

    Whatyousmokin · 15/06/2017 at 22:15

Expecting a reasonable 4th quarter after he was rested up forward. Should still be a solid captain score. I'd be more worried if I had the selwoods this week.

    Thomas · 15/06/2017 at 22:16

It was 57 at quarter time

Jim_bob321 · 15/06/2017 at 22:11

Thanks for your wisdom…very useful commentary.

        BomberNoremac · 15/06/2017 at 23:02

Very helpful now go back to being a muppet elsewhere

        Mavs17 · 15/06/2017 at 23:10

Dont have to be a F**kwit.

    Dave · 15/06/2017 at 22:16

Shockingly bad luck for you pal. Injuries suck and unfortunately there will be some out there gloating that they didn't pick him and/or that he is injured.

    Holty · 15/06/2017 at 22:21

Same mate. The only saving grace for me is my opponent has him as well. Only reason i bought him in was for Steele. dantastic start to the weekend

    BomberNoremac · 15/06/2017 at 22:34

I have him too unfortunately we should have known his history always suggested this was probable. At least he will still go up a little

      Cam_H · 16/06/2017 at 08:56

Hasn't his injury history been ankle and foot … not hamstring problems? How could you have predicted hamstring strain?

        Cam_H · 16/06/2017 at 09:17

^ Apol's – my bad – there is some evidence that suggests that ankle injuries can lead to the body over-compensating in other areas which could contribute to increased likelihood of hammies. Nonetheless, still unlucky!

        BomberNoremac · 16/06/2017 at 11:08

I was referring to him having a history of always breaking down in some way be it an ankle, hamstring or broken finger nail. He has a history of not being able to stay on the park would you not agree?

    Top Gun · 15/06/2017 at 22:39

And listen to all the so-called experts come crowing about not getting him. We know it's all luck

      Derek · 15/06/2017 at 22:54

Yep. Same luck that made me not get Yeo. I have to admit, he's good

        BomberNoremac · 15/06/2017 at 22:57

Win some lose some I was terrified when I traded yeo in 4 or 5 weeks ago. However when I got scooter I thought he was a sure thing and must have

          Whatyasmokin · 15/06/2017 at 23:51

Same here, traded him in around round 8, he got that 71 and I'm thinking crap I just paid 525K for this guy!

        Top Gun · 15/06/2017 at 22:57

I was doubtful but grabbed him a fair while ago. He's a gun. Imagine what he would score if he was let off the lease more.

        hedski · 15/06/2017 at 23:43

Yeo coming in nek week for SPP, or Scooter.

    whatyousmokin · 15/06/2017 at 22:44

Anyone who had enough trades shouldve got him in simple as that. Reward outweighed the risk he looked great.

      BomberNoremac · 15/06/2017 at 22:50

I am still happy to pocket the 70k ish that he will have made for me could have been more but oh well

      Derek · 15/06/2017 at 22:57

He was a good idea a couple of weeks ago, but not after his price rise, wasn't enough cash to be made, people who got him this week were chacing points and cash that was already gone.

I wish I chanced Yeo 8 weeks ago

        Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 23:01

He was set to make another 47K this week Derek, if he scored 96, and another 30k next week, so I don't feel I went too late on him, he was still good value, but now he's just a potato on the bench! aaargh

        Whatyasmokin · 15/06/2017 at 23:19

Agree with you too late after the initial price rise for someone that was HIGHLY unlikely to be a keeper except M9.

    Skinny McThin · 15/06/2017 at 23:43

Not so bad only a cramp but due to history they kept him off = no actual damage done. will miss a week at most shame though was looking like he'd break 500k within a few weeks, he got screwed by CD he'd had 8 tackles 3 kicks 6hb 3mks @60% at half time for only 40 sc. It was his 4th kick that brought the cramp

      Whatyasmokin · 15/06/2017 at 23:48

I always thought a tackle was just a straight 4 points. That document that CD tweeted the other week had some interesting results from Bonts and JPK's scores.
There's different scores allocated for things depending on where on the ground they were performed etc.
It's a really complex system that's for sure.

      Derek · 15/06/2017 at 23:49

Miss a week for a cramp!!? Pull the other one!

        Whatyasmokin · 16/06/2017 at 00:01

Hope it doesn't end up like Sandilands' 'one week' hamstring soreness.

Skinny McThin · 15/06/2017 at 22:18

I was going to go Steele-Fyffe-Whe for Kruezer-McCrae-heeney and keep scooter at M8 for 2 weeks. now I dunno what to do

    BomberNoremac · 15/06/2017 at 22:46

Your trade still looks good especially if you have Barrett or greenwood to play m8 for next couple

Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 22:31

Priddis needs to shave that Shirley Temple crap off his head, almost as bad as JJ's Sheepskin Seatcover. He had a haircut, but, it's no improvement.

    Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 22:32

…or maybe stop going to Maurice Meade's 80's hair salon to get his hair permed.

      hedski · 15/06/2017 at 23:45

He needs a good old Danny Southern.

    Skinny McThin · 15/06/2017 at 23:56

    How's the salon going Russty?

Dean · 15/06/2017 at 22:32

Scooter hammy goes TWANG!!! He should never play at Domain Stadium. Thank god I chose not to get him.

Steeeve · 15/06/2017 at 22:36

Big worry with Scooter is always his durability. Well done everyone who wisely resisted the temptation.

    Top Gun · 15/06/2017 at 22:37

Players can get injured anytime especially their hammy with the game being so fast.

    Cogla13 · 16/06/2017 at 08:46

Another "I told you so" comment … get a life.

Choice · 15/06/2017 at 22:36

Will Liberatore take points away from MacRae?

    whatyousmokin · 15/06/2017 at 22:40

Doubtful macrae always manages around 100

    I Just jynxed him 😉

    Derek · 15/06/2017 at 22:58

Will affect Wallis a lot more

      Skinny McThin · 15/06/2017 at 23:05

Yep I hope nobody got scooter jelwood and wallis this week

      whatyousmokin · 15/06/2017 at 23:11

Dogs for sc scoring was crazy last year. Grabbed picken for the backline and he was solid. Then they had bont, macrae, dahl, boyd, hunter, libbe, jj, wallis to a certain extent and adams as a rookie. You could have a team half dogs and do alright. When they find some better form theyll all score good I reckon.

Matt · 15/06/2017 at 22:41

Hold or get rid of jack Steven?

    BomberNoremac · 15/06/2017 at 22:56

Tough one would have thought he would have done better than he has. I think the answer lies in if you think st kinda can start winning games if yes then hold but if you have doubts I would sell

    Northerner · 15/06/2017 at 23:10

Gone from my team before Friday's game

Joshua · 15/06/2017 at 22:44

Any early word on Scooters injury? (how long it usually takes to come back from)

    BomberNoremac · 15/06/2017 at 22:52

No early word but because he has history I think he could be out for a while 3-4 my guess

    Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 22:54

Just a twinge I think, not muscle off the bone or anything, probably 2 to 3 weeks maybe. bloody bummer!

    TOPHAWK1 · 15/06/2017 at 22:56

Just a grab for cash trade mate.

    Top Gun · 15/06/2017 at 22:56

I heard they put the screen around and shot him. 🙂

      Goat · 15/06/2017 at 23:27

But Cats have 9 lives… commiserations to scooter owners.

B T · 15/06/2017 at 22:59

Doublewood let me down.
Thank God for Danger.

BomberNoremac · 15/06/2017 at 23:00

I wish danger could play every Thursday or Friday love being able to plop the v on him and watch the points roll in early in the round

    Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 23:31

141 is a nice score to stick your C on after game 1….love ya Dangermouse!

      Whatyasmokin · 15/06/2017 at 23:43

Lucky enough to get Yeo's 117 too. I have 19 playing and only rookies playing are Newman and Barrett. Viced Danger of course, no woods. Hoping to get near the top for this week's scores.

There's a lot of 1200 projections going around so hopefully I can make up for my 7K rank fall from round 11…………….

        Russty_ · 16/06/2017 at 00:10

I feel your pain, I dropped from 2200 odd to 8500 odd into shitesville….love the byes!

          Whatyasmokin · 16/06/2017 at 00:40

I reckon I'll come out ahead though after the three.

        BockChoy · 16/06/2017 at 07:09

Stewart has also become a regular scorer- 71 again last night is very handy.

          Whatyasmokin · 16/06/2017 at 13:47

Traded Stewart out before he started scoring well of course. On another note held Bombers Stewart and got a timely 105 out of him last week.

RulesBloke · 15/06/2017 at 23:01

Aarrgghh! Jelwood will get 3 and scooter will miss two bugga bugga bugga

    BomberNoremac · 15/06/2017 at 23:04

    What's jSelwood getting 3 for???

      Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 23:06

Elbow to the back of the head of some spud who then tried to strangle him so I'm hoping they'll call it even haha

        BomberNoremac · 15/06/2017 at 23:10

        Must have missed that

      Skinny McThin · 15/06/2017 at 23:10

Mitchell laying on ground slightly out of play and Jelwood dropped on him with a hammer elbow off the turnbuckle to the back of the head. If he did it in King St he'd get 6-months

        Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 23:20

But he was looking at the ball when he did it Skinny, so that makes him innocent lol, forget about his past 10 previous indiscretions

          Whatyasmokin · 15/06/2017 at 23:23

What about the hit on Danger from Shuey? I reckon there was a bit in that. Danger way off the ball and he lined him up and there was some nice head contact.

            Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 23:25

I must've missed that, I only caught the second half…was workin.

            Skinny McThin · 15/06/2017 at 23:32

Definite head contact in that as well, he should get a couple. Jelwoods cowards elbow was bizarre like Judd's eye gauge bizarre. He was real close to the back of his neck and it could have easily gone horribly wrong

              Derek · 15/06/2017 at 23:44

He won't miss any for that. Little tap

                Whatyasmokin · 15/06/2017 at 23:59

He should be fine his arm was tucked in.

                Skinny McThin · 16/06/2017 at 00:11

He ran past the ball to make contact and made contact to the head. Perhaps rules bloke could enlighten us to the standard penalty for such an offence.

                  RulesBloke · 16/06/2017 at 00:23

Unintentional light head high contact usually a reprimand apx 400 points BUT, he ran past the ball to make contact which imposes an onus of responsibility to not contact the head. 2 weeks down to one with a guilty plea. Jelwood could get anywhere from 2 to 5 it looks really bad on video

                    Randomcliche2 · 16/06/2017 at 00:38

                    Thanks mate

                    Whatyasmokin · 16/06/2017 at 00:40

Yeah he did totally ignore the ball and just line him up. Not only that Danger was still down after actually playing the ball and he didn't try to soften the blow or anything, it was a bit crude. Timing is everything and he messed up.

    JohndJames · 16/06/2017 at 01:44

Hope he gets heaps, but probably won't since the umps and media love him,but since they won't be sitting in judgement of him,who knows. Selwood must have had a memory lapse and thought Mitch was still playing for the Hawks.PS I would have wanted to strangle the prick too,if he elbowed me in the back of the head, while I was lying on the ground.

Northerner · 15/06/2017 at 23:06

Not having Scooter has become a POD. Nice. Just need Swallow to ton up as my regular M9 and he becomes a good M9 POD given most traded him out.

Mark · 15/06/2017 at 23:26

Got a dilemma lads. Do I bring in Heeney this week for my last fwd spot, and Ryder remains R2 for the remainder of the year, or hold and bring in a. Ruckman in the next few weeks, which puts Ryder into that last spot.

    Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 23:33

I don't like Ryder as an R2, I reckon he's lazy and goes missing, I'd be looking to get Gawn when he comes in and hits rock bottom price.

    Whatyasmokin · 15/06/2017 at 23:35

Can't you also trade Ryder later though if need be? Or not enough trades? I'd be tempted to grab Heeney rucks are still a bit up in the air and Ryder could come good.

What forward are you trading Steele? If so the Heeney trade for sure makes a lot more sense.

      Mark · 16/06/2017 at 09:03

Im trading Hannan, already have 18 playing this week.

Other option is Myers down to Mountford, which gives me 19 playing, but i can't afford Heeney

      What would you pick mate?

        Whatyasmokin · 16/06/2017 at 13:46

Hannan could go up another 20K if he gets an 80 odd Mark? Low BE and has scored well enough the last few weeks.

Mountford played only round one and not even on the bubble. Leave that one.

Go with the Heeney trade if looking to make ground, if team value is low and struggling for full premo on field then hold Hannan for one more week for the value.

Defying_Madness · 16/06/2017 at 00:35

I just checked Jock's team and looks like he ended up bringing in Scooter over Parker

    Russty_ · 16/06/2017 at 01:13

I would've done the same, Scooter was looking great and Parker was looking ordinary….just bad luck as it turned out is all.

    Rick Grimes · 16/06/2017 at 08:11

That's a shame, should have stuck with his initial assessment, Trap. Trapitty trap trap. I might get Parker in as the SC Gods are a bunch of c-bombs in these situations.

Whatyasmokin · 16/06/2017 at 00:48

The poor man's guide to trading Jack Steele, with no bank and saving trades. Go for a cheap POD.

Don't come crying if you get burnt though, but there could be gold among these somewhat under performing players……….

Playing this week if needed for bye structure.

Others not playing this week in order of my faves (from a value perspective, Walters could quite easily outscore all of them but I just don't trust freo)

Lynch(Adel), J. Cameron, Walker, Hooker, Gunston, Walters.

Good luck.

    Russty_ · 16/06/2017 at 01:09

Good options WYS….Lynch, I think is a good option for after this week.

    jockreynolds · 16/06/2017 at 07:23

    Great stuff Whatto!

      TRIGGER HAPPY · 16/06/2017 at 09:03

Jock don't see u in the comments much anymore

Is this supercoach, coachkings, draftstars business all business eh?

      Whatyasmokin · 16/06/2017 at 13:38

      Thank you sir!

    Whatyasmokin · 16/06/2017 at 14:08

Might have done it subconsciously but left out Tom Lynch from the GCS, maybe didn't want everyone jumping on board!

Got him in last week, still only 446K with a breakeven of 67!

Rick Grimes · 16/06/2017 at 05:01

Need a rookie mid but can field 18 regardless. Do I take Mountford or go someone like Wigg, who might go well if he gets a run? Or I could get Ryan via DPP and swing Lloyd forward. Don't want him getting stuck there tho. Hmmm

    Finnius123 · 16/06/2017 at 11:10

Go Mountford. is immediately going to help you score more points, and because he will probably be sitting on your bench for the rest of the season, it doesn't matter how many points he gets after that.

Tyruddanaut · 16/06/2017 at 06:40

Sorry for anyone with Scooter. I brought him in this week at literally the last minute because I didn't want to face a donut

In advance I'd also like to apologize for Lloyd and Macrae

    TOPHAWK1 · 16/06/2017 at 07:56

No need to apologize mate. Grabbed Scooter last week so made me a bit of cash. He can just sit on the bench for a few weeks after the byes. In any case when full premo, Scooter when he returns will probably be my M9 player anyway.

BrownlowBoy · 16/06/2017 at 07:18

Is Selwood going to miss weeks?

    TOPHAWK1 · 16/06/2017 at 08:01

    2-3 weeks I am told

      BrownlowBoy · 16/06/2017 at 09:04

Far out surely that's a joke.

      FizzEm · 16/06/2017 at 09:41

Glad we both stayed clear of joel last night tophawk. Great decision. Fingers crossed dusty can pump out a huge score now! Now scooters injured i need to reassess the SPP upgrade 🙁

        Top hawk · 16/06/2017 at 11:27

Dodged a nice little bullet there didn't we? Dusty will do us proud mate! Touch a big clump of wood. Hehe Not ideal that Scooter pulled his hammy last night, but he can stay on the bench for now. It has not caused any real issue in my quest to be full premo in the next few weeks. I was planning for him to be my M9 in any case. Go Dusty you good thing! Cheers

    INPieman · 16/06/2017 at 09:08

Which Selwood? Scooter hammy should be at least 3

      BrownlowBoy · 16/06/2017 at 09:20

Joel, should of made that clear in my question!

      KrazeeEyezK1lla · 16/06/2017 at 09:57

hold scooter? it was either him or SPP who was going to be my M9. this could just force my hand. SPP to go maybe after this week

        Whatyasmokin · 16/06/2017 at 13:56

        Scooter AFL games played.
        2014 – 12
        2015 – 12
        2016 – 3

That's a pretty damning record right there, obviously hold and see how it pans out he should be back in 1-2 weeks?

The next time he's out of the squad (after he returns from this niggle) I'd trade him quick smart.

Alex · 16/06/2017 at 08:41

I'm full premium, however, J Steven, Nat Fyfe, K Simpson and Alex Rance feature in my team unfortunately. But with 7 trades left they will be luxury trades.

Paul · 16/06/2017 at 08:50

Question for the community – how important is $30k this year? Have done the sums and is it worth delaying a trade (SPP to Lloyd) if it means saving 30k, performing double downgrade next week, rather than a one up, one down trade?

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger regardless this week so that I can fast-track getting full premium.

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 16/06/2017 at 09:01

    For me it was $60k
Was going to go Stewart to Lloyd but decided to wait till next week.
Stewart after score for 74 should make $25-$30k.
If Lloyd scores around 100 should drop $30k.
So for 30ish points more worth waiting a week for $60k.
However if you r trading out a Rd 13 bye player like ottens then u could justify going early.

Stupid Coach · 16/06/2017 at 09:19

I know its early but I am already in the Panic Room huddled in the corner in the foetal position after trading Steele to Scooter when I could have gone to Macrae instead. Have 18 on the field, however, now looking at least four players (Scooter, Bolton, Mountford and Hannan) who are each likely to score 50 or less. Happy, happy days. Only positives – Danger as VC and I have 13 trades left. Don't have enough cash to trade PP to Macrae – would seem a waste anyway as it still leaves me with 18. Do i trade Fyfe to Macrae, Zorko or Martin, PP to N Reiwoldt/Heeney (via Dahl DPP) or can I downgrade Myers to anyone. Just don't know anymore.

Any advice/thoughts much appreciated.

    Keebored Wazza · 16/06/2017 at 11:35

Fyfe to Martin and PP to Heeney if you can SC.

    JohndJames · 16/06/2017 at 12:35

I would keep Fyfe, but if you must,Zorko would be a good POD and Heeney, why the hell are people still looking at Reiwoldt

      Stupid Coach · 16/06/2017 at 13:25

Thanks JohndJames. I really want to keep Fyfe if possible. My preference is to downgrade Myers, however, the only rookies under $200k that are on the bubble or likely to be on the bubble are not available to next week. Thoughts on Myers to Ainsworth (GC) or Mackenzie Willis (GC) and PP to Macrae or Zorko.

        Stupid Coach · 16/06/2017 at 13:27

Sorry, that should be Myers to Ainsworth/Willis and Fyfe to Macrae/Zorko.

        JohndJames · 16/06/2017 at 14:44

Hi SC,if you have 18 playing I wouldn't trade this week, but if you feel you need too Myers to Ainsworth mid/fwd works as does Fyfe to Zorko,I only say that because you have 13 trades left, unlike me with 9

      Whatyasmokin · 16/06/2017 at 13:34

Agree after being burnt by the injury of Scooter surely not considering Reiwoldt, didn't even play last week!

        Stupid Coach · 16/06/2017 at 14:54

Not really WAS. He is an absolute last resort and only being considered under the category "what I can afford".

Keebored Wazza · 16/06/2017 at 11:36

Meant to add .. downgrade Myers to Brown for his DPP

    Stupid Coach · 16/06/2017 at 12:51

Thanks Keeboard Wazza. Appreciate the advice. Only have enough cash to go Fyfe to Martin. Would like to keep Fyfe if possible, especially if Sandi returns next week. Myers to Brown would give me enough cash to upgrade PP to just about anyone. However, I think it might be too risky as I am unsure of his job security after just one game (might be the first to go if the Pies make any changes next week). Was thinking Myers to Mackenzie Willis (GC) however, he is not much cheaper than Myers and doesn't help me get Macrae but could get me Heeney, Reiwoldt or Franklin.

I have traded Fyfe to Dusty but apparently he has a crook back. Should I change to trade to Ablett?

You cant reverse now the lock out has begun

      Panda · 16/06/2017 at 14:49

Oh no. Why not, they haven't played yet. Stupid rule.

        Russty_ · 16/06/2017 at 20:23

It's the way it is mate, you can trade guys in…but no reversals after 1st lockout.

DEF: Doch, Adams, Hibberd,Tuohy,Shaw,Newman Bench: Ryan, Stewart
MID: Danger, Pendles, Oliver, Bont, Hanners, Beams, Heppell, Barrett Bench: Berry, D.Lloyd, Cousins
RUC: Stef, Sandi Bench: Soldo
FWD: Yeo, Macrae, Dahl, JJK, Ainsworth, Bolton Bench: Greenwood, Stewart

Im also thinking shaw to Lloyd good trade or nah

    Hawkas2017 · 16/06/2017 at 16:36

Could downgrade stewart forward to brown and then get a premium Mid or forward line player or llyod in the centre

      Hawkas2017 · 16/06/2017 at 16:38

Dont worry about your defence at the moment either, if you are going to bring in laird next week you cant get llyod because you will have a max defence unless looking for llyod for his DPP

Help!! I just performed a trade but I can't seem to reverse it??? Is it because of the last night?? Usually I can still reverse ?? Is it a part round glitch??

    Pman · 16/06/2017 at 19:36

Once the round has commenced you can longer reverse trades and this has always been the case.

    The Buttonsticher · 17/06/2017 at 12:41

as far as i know you cannot reverse trades once round begins
