gary · 13/06/2017 at 16:02

have scored 1805 and 1900 in the first 2 byes, i am ranked 1300th overall and only have 17 scoring players this round (16 premium + tom stewart). should i trade to get an 18th scoring player. i have mutimer/pickett but doubt either will get a game.

i plan on being full premium by trading in jake lloyd for stewart next round..

what to do?

    jez_m · 13/06/2017 at 16:59

Depends on whether you're playing for overall ranking or leagues. If you're going for ranking, you really need 18 players playing across all bye rounds. If you're just going for league play, I'd hold your trades and just play the 17 players you have.

Joshua · 13/06/2017 at 16:06

Fyfe to Oliver will leave me with 17,800 in bank.
Next week will be hoping Parsons and Berry generate enough cash so I can trade in Callum Brown and Lloyd. Should I trade in Cotchin instead this week so it's a sure thing or hope Parsons and Berry generate at least 20k between them? (This is all assuming Lloyd drops to 410kish)

    lazza · 13/06/2017 at 16:13

I'm waiting 2 weeks for Lloyd …. his price will drop significantly.

      Hazey · 13/06/2017 at 21:05

Do we know the BE for Lloyd?

        BlueNath · 13/06/2017 at 21:11

BE is 162. Will be close to $405k after this week!

          Wedge · 13/06/2017 at 21:20

As soon as that 4 rolls out of his scores his b/e will be really low provided he scores close to his average this week. Next week he needs to be snaffled

Rivo · 13/06/2017 at 16:18

Down to 10 trades, $30k and only looking to field 16 this week. Trade or not?

D: Doc, Laird, Simpson, Rance, Shaw, Hibberd (Scharenbeg, Ryan);
M: Danger, Sloane, Pendles, JPK, Hanners, Treloar, Fyfe, M.Crouch (SPP, Pickett, Cousins);
R: Martin, Nank (Strnadica);
F: Dahl, Buddy, Lynch, Heeney, Greenwood, Bolton (Parsons, Eddy).

Prefer to hold Fyfe and waiting on Gawn/another Ruck option to open the fed swing back up. Any ideas?

    jez_m · 13/06/2017 at 17:00

Depends if you're going for overall rank or leagues. Overall rank = trade for 18 players, league wins = hold

    Creek465 · 13/06/2017 at 20:39

    Thoughts on goldy?

      Rivo · 13/06/2017 at 20:50

Creek465, who would you suggest gets traded out for Goldy?

Harry · 13/06/2017 at 16:27

What to do with Sandi and Fyfe

    Touk tuk · 13/06/2017 at 17:07

Both out for me. In comes ryder and oliver

    Danners · 13/06/2017 at 20:19

    Wield the axe

Andy · 13/06/2017 at 16:42

Buy Jelwood this round or Neale/ Pendles next week?

    jez_m · 13/06/2017 at 17:01

Won't see Selwood this cheap again for a while. If you want him, this is the week to do it.

Bradk · 13/06/2017 at 16:58

Hows my team looking wuth 8 trades left?

Docherty, Laird, Adams, hibberd, shaw, newman (, ryan, mcinnes) – possibility of looping newman and ryan.

Dangerfield, Rockliff, TMitchell, Ablett, Merrett, pendles, bontempelli, treloar (bolton, pickett, cousins)

Martin, Nankervis (strdnca)

Yeo, macrae, heeney, dahlhouse, steele, greenwood (parsons, eddy)

Eventually greenwood (and a rookie) will become gawn, with nank shifted fwd.

Steele will go when/if he doesnt average enough.

I like the idea of possbly keeping newman and ryan loop in defense, but think newman is a keeper.

    ProTravo · 13/06/2017 at 17:46

Newman would be out for Lloyd next week if it were me.
    Team looks good.

    Smote · 14/06/2017 at 14:47

Impressed with your team Bradk. Understand if you cannot be bothered replying, but out of interest how many premos did you have from Rd 1 that are still there?

Harry · 13/06/2017 at 17:02

Sandi to T. Lynch Ryder to forward line or wait for Gawn

    INPieman · 13/06/2017 at 17:53

Unless your willing to pay top dollar Gawn wont be giving you service for at least 2-3 weeks. Factor that in to total points till seasons end

jez_m · 13/06/2017 at 17:33

Some significant rookie news – Ed Vickers-Willis is going to miss 8 weeks with a PCL injury. Just another curve ball which might prevent some people from fielding 18 players this weekend.

    Harley · 13/06/2017 at 17:39

Well this is shit news. I only held him last week so he could fill this last bye for me. Hope hibberd replaces him then.

    hedski · 13/06/2017 at 18:52

Add to that Darcy Cameron and Tim Smith both won't be seen for rest of the year jez

      jez_m · 13/06/2017 at 21:08

Just adding to the disappointing year we've had rookie-wise, Hedski.

    Team Flog · 13/06/2017 at 18:53

    where did you hear that

lachie · 13/06/2017 at 18:11

I'm a bit stuck this week tbh. any pointers would be appreciated.

DEF: Laird, Docherty, Adams, Lloyd, Newman, Hibberd (Berry, Scharenberg)

MID: Titchell, Danger, Zerrett, Pendles, Dusty, Bont, JPK, Fyfe (SPP, Myers, Cousins)

RUC: Mummy, Goldy (Strnadica)

FWD: Dahlhaus, Franklin, Nankervis, Wallis, Stewart, Greenwood (Parsons, Eddy)

Thinking of going Fyfe to Macrae or Yeo to bulster fwd line.
Only got 16 playing. 3 trades and $55k.

    Hawks · 13/06/2017 at 18:53

I like your team, good mix of premo's and cash cows.

I wouldn't ruin this balance just for round 13, think big picture (end team).

Trade rookies/cash cows only when they max out, this week trade Myers & maybe SPP.

I'd keep Fyfe and back in a return to form.

    Team Flog · 13/06/2017 at 19:01

SPP to Mitch Hibberd gives you a nice swingset with Berry. or Joel Smith (melb), then Parsons up to Yeo or Macrae

      Team Flog · 13/06/2017 at 19:02

leaves your team looking good with nice bench cover

    joe · 14/06/2017 at 11:09

You've only got three trades left? Man, you can't use them up with half a season left just for the sake of fielding 18 in one week. You should eat a donut and make a maximum of one trade.

      lachie · 14/06/2017 at 16:05

I have 13 trades my bad typo

    #Pieinghigh · 14/06/2017 at 14:39

Good luck grasshopper, party ass off and go bang bang you die quick soon and not make it to end of season.

      lachie · 14/06/2017 at 16:05

yeah got 13 trades missed the 1

DavidSA · 13/06/2017 at 18:14

Fyfe > Bont
Shiel > Scooter
JJ > Roberton

Fyfe > Heeney
Shiel > Scooter
JJ > Doch

I'm full premo before these trades and going balls to the wall correctives now and to also field 19 for last bye
Thank you

    INPieman · 13/06/2017 at 18:41

I can already smell the burns in 6 weeks Dave. Burn the 3 trades & learn your lesson later in the season. If you must do it go the one with Doch, He's a must have one way or another

    Hawks · 13/06/2017 at 18:42

    Heeney & Docherty for mine

      DavidSA · 13/06/2017 at 18:50

Tbh my whole season has been a burn. Nothing to lose now and will be happy to gout in a blaze than to fade away

Joshua · 13/06/2017 at 18:20

Fyfe is going to Oliver unless Eddy or Hibberd get a game as I need to field 18.

Pat · 13/06/2017 at 18:20

DEF: Doc, Hibberd – Melb, Tuohy, Newmann, Berry, Hibberd – Nth (Shaw, Adams)
MID: Danger, S Selwood, Merrett, Beams, JPK, Macrae, P-Pepper, Myers (Fyfe, Pendles, Cousins)
RUC: Sandi, Martin (Strnadica)
FWD: Lynch, Dahlhaus, Franklin, Roughy, Nank, Parsons (Eddy, Greenwood)
13 trades – 97K, Not sure if Eddy or Hibberd get a game this week.
Have set up team with 17 on field so gives a better picture.
Should I trade, if so who? or hold this week?

    boner contention · 14/06/2017 at 20:06

    berry to ryan
    greenwood to brown
    pp to dusty

remrafem · 13/06/2017 at 18:24

Petracca to Heeney or Franklin? Already have Yeo, Macrae, Dahlhaus, Nankervis, and Steele.

Tommo09 · 13/06/2017 at 18:30

Trading Myers Steele and Newman to Doch Macrae and Ryan (even though he isn't playing)

Will leave me with 9 trades and no cash

    hawks · 13/06/2017 at 18:45

    Like it

    INPieman · 13/06/2017 at 18:48

Adding 2 top 3 position players & a rookie with upside is good work Tommo. Ross praised Luke Ryan in his presser which doesn't guarantee ongoing selection, but has a small amount of promise. But I like those trades

    boner contention · 14/06/2017 at 20:07

    go go go

Team Flog · 13/06/2017 at 18:51

you know what's weird. Laird and Adams have almost been a mimic of each other this year. both averaging 106.67. that's ironic

    wightyswarriors · 13/06/2017 at 20:56

Adams cost me a win this week….

    Wedge · 13/06/2017 at 21:25

I shit you not but four weeks ago they both averaged exactly 111 and that round they both scored 110. Weird

    lachie · 13/06/2017 at 23:23

no it's not ironic. please look up the meaning before you use that term. It's called coincidental.

      Jose · 13/06/2017 at 23:34

      TigerNut · 14/06/2017 at 18:17

      F#%? Off. Mummy's boy

        TigerNut · 14/06/2017 at 18:18

Was it coincidental that I slammed your mum last night?

          TigerNut · 14/06/2017 at 18:19

Do gooder. Haven't got anything better to do than correct people. Get a life

    randomcliche · 15/06/2017 at 13:06

It's ironic that it doesn't matter how much preseason research you did, they were priced similar, both popular and if you picked one over the other it didn't matter. Ironic enough for me. Don't worry about the haters.

Joshua · 13/06/2017 at 18:56

Thanks for the mention Jock!

Jim_bob321 · 13/06/2017 at 18:56

Hey community, what do u think of these two options?
Option 1:
SPP – Bolton
Taranto – Heeney
Leaves me with 100k in bank
Option 2:
SPP – Ablett
Taranto – Bolton
Leaves me with 4k in bank

Thanks community

    Northerner · 13/06/2017 at 20:36

I don't think Bolton is worth his price. Comes down to how many you have on field. Taranto not dropping in price. If you don't have McRae you can wait a week for him and bring in Brown or Ryan next week to generate the cash. SPP is warm body.

You'd be better going Taranto to Scooter if you need the extra to field 18. And save one trade.

      Jim_bob321 · 13/06/2017 at 20:49

I've got more than 18 this round

    Skankunt32 · 13/06/2017 at 20:40

    option 1

    iLoveNMFC · 14/06/2017 at 13:58

B.T · 13/06/2017 at 19:05

Taranto>Stef.Martin (via Nank)
Myers>Ryan (Via Hibberd, NM)

These trades will help get me to 18 on field.
Early on Ryan but I need someone to downgrade to and at least he should be a warm body for a few weeks, post bye.

    Jim_bob321 · 13/06/2017 at 19:38

Jelwood is a bargain right now

Stavros · 13/06/2017 at 19:14

Hey community,
Regardless of byes, who are the best two options out of Oliver, Neale , Merrett, Zorko, Cotch and Ebert?

    Finnius123 · 13/06/2017 at 19:17

Merrett and Neale/Zorko. If bringing in one this week go Zorko – byes must be considered

      Stavros · 13/06/2017 at 19:21

it has just occured to me i can afford selwood, would you put him above all of them?

        redherringfc · 13/06/2017 at 19:54

        At least as good as.

        Randomcliche2 · 15/06/2017 at 10:35

Osei · 13/06/2017 at 19:15

Hey lads, do we reckon Clayton Oliver can keep up this form for the year?

    Hawks · 13/06/2017 at 19:44

Yes, his disposals are very clean, which is why his team-mates like the ball in his hands.

    Derek · 13/06/2017 at 19:59

Gawn will be back very very soon

Joshua · 13/06/2017 at 19:45

Actually you know what, stuff Oliver! Fyfe-Cotchin for the win, saves me some much needed cash for Lloyd upgrade next week and would make Crouching one proud!

    Joshua · 13/06/2017 at 19:45

Pimping my time and POD'ing my time at the same time!

      Joshua · 13/06/2017 at 21:04

      *team lol

        boner contention · 14/06/2017 at 20:09

        time actually works

Petey · 13/06/2017 at 19:52

Cotch or Oliver

    Joshua · 13/06/2017 at 19:56

I would go oliver but i personally need to save cash in case Lloyd overperforms and berry or Parsons spuds it so im going with cotchin. Both good ins i believe

Tiny Tim · 13/06/2017 at 20:01

hi sorry to be a pain but im looking for a defender and footy wire b/e dont seem to be updated. anyone know Doch / simpson / loyds breakevens? thanks in advance

    Joshua · 13/06/2017 at 20:25

Lloyd 162 I heard on here, not sure of the other two as I'm having same problem

    The Ranger · 13/06/2017 at 20:29

    Try tooserious.net

    Wedge · 13/06/2017 at 21:34

    Doc 87. Simpson 94

Joshua · 13/06/2017 at 20:01

Chances of Hibberd or Eddy getting a game this week?

    Juzzy · 13/06/2017 at 20:10

    Hibberd a decent chance.

    Eddy would be entirely suprising.

    boner contention · 14/06/2017 at 20:10

    not high

Juzzy · 13/06/2017 at 20:07

Open letter to Brad Scott ….

Please Brad, if you can see your way clear to name Hibberd and/or Mountford this week I will happily donate a few bucks to the "get Kelly and Martin" fund.

    Joshua · 13/06/2017 at 20:15

Seconded but give the Blues Kelly and I'll put some money towards Martin.

      Smote · 14/06/2017 at 14:56

Kelly to the Blues has to be the best 4 words I could hope to read after stuffing up another year of SC.

Steve · 13/06/2017 at 20:10

which mid should i trade in that's playing this week? Is ablett too risky?

    skdo · 13/06/2017 at 21:02

J.Selwood lock at his price and high ceiling
Zorko for pod rarely drops under 100 and scores well without alot of Disposals and kicks many goals

    Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 01:30

Ablett had 10 tackles so it looks like he might be over his sore shoulder.

    Northerner · 14/06/2017 at 05:00

If he stays fit, it's a risk not having him. I got him after his 210 for that reason. As he hurt his shoulder at the end of that game (wish I'd known it was an issue) he then had a couple of quiet weeks. His tackles last weekend suggest he's over that, but how solid that shoulder is to withstand another impact in the wrong spot who knows. This is the week to get him if you are going to. If he goes big again his price will run away from you.

I'd say Jelwood is a good alternative. Similar price and breakeven. Not quite as much upside, but you won't miss that many points relative to Ablett and Jelwood more resilient to any injury – or head knock as we saw last game!

    Good luck with your call.

Liam · 13/06/2017 at 20:22

Is Myers to Ainsworth a waste of a trade. Gives me 18 then on the field

    BlueNath · 13/06/2017 at 20:44

Some might say it ains worth it. But if it give u 18 players I think it's acceptable. He actually looks like he'll score well… and much better than Myers, and would seemingly have good job security

      BlueNath · 13/06/2017 at 20:45

      DPP a bonus!

BlueNath · 13/06/2017 at 20:39

Any news on Sandiballs post bye? I'm holding him until Gawn bottoms out (hopefully a virtual straight swap) but it would be nice if he actually plays

Creek465 · 13/06/2017 at 20:41

Tarranto to goldy via nank
What do people think on goldy?

    skdo · 13/06/2017 at 21:00

Goldy Just had his bye should be freash and without Pruess he could be in the top 3 ruckman on the run home

      Creek465 · 13/06/2017 at 21:12

Low percdntage of teams, im backin him in

skdo · 13/06/2017 at 20:59

Hello community unsure what to do this week 4 away from Semi Premo but have plenty of rookies and cash left. Fielding 19 this week although alot are rookies. So, what should i do this week i want to use up all three of my trades thanks community. Love the Podcast Fellas.
DEF: Laird, Doc, Adams, Hibberd, Newman, Berry (Stewart, Hibberd(NTH)
MID: Danger, Titch, Pendles, Fyfe, Treloar, JPK, Rocky, Barret (SPP, Lloyd, Cousins)
RUCK: Martin, Nank (Strandica)
FOR: Yeo, McRae, Dalh, Buddy, Stevens Greenwood (Hannan, Parsons)

14 Trades, $223,900 in the Bank

I.e. Any comments appreciated

Mavs17 · 13/06/2017 at 21:15

Any help would be appreciated.
Thinking of getting rid of Steele this week for a more consistant FWD or fallen premo.
Or should i swin nank fwd and bring in a Ruck?
Or lastly just hold this week.

Team is:

Laird, Docherty, Adams
Roberton, Hibberd, Tuohy
(Ryan, Hibberd)

Dangerfield, Martin, Pendlebury
Oliver, Kennedy, Zorko
Fyfe, Selwood
(Fisher, Cousins, Brown)

Martin, Nankervis (Strnadica)

Yeo, Dalhaus, Greene
Franklin, Steele, Greenwood
(Parsons, Eddy)

8 trades left, 85,000 in bank

1 off full premo in my eyes with Greenwood on field.

    Jim_bob321 · 13/06/2017 at 21:25

Mate don't even bother wasting a trade this round
Potentially do something with Zac Fisher but other than that it is a good team

      cobey · 14/06/2017 at 00:39

      steele to macrae

        Defying_Madness · 14/06/2017 at 01:24

        I like it

    boner contention · 14/06/2017 at 20:14

Nank fwd, get in a ruck

      Mavs17 · 14/06/2017 at 20:42

I traded Steele for Mcrae, i plan on swinging Nank fwd once Greenwood has fattened up in a couple more weeks, then bring in a ruck

        Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 20:48

Good call Mavs, you need MacRae, don't need a ruck right now, no offence Boner.

    GuruRaviSmith · 14/06/2017 at 21:37

How are you going to get a premo f6 or ruck after swapping steele for McCrae? You'll only have about 30k and greenwood is your best cash calf atmo.
Fyfe and maybe scooter will struggle to be top 20 mids for rest of the year probably better to trade Fyfe to McCrae and get the extra points this week and trade steele next week

      Mavs17 · 14/06/2017 at 21:42

Na i have faith in Fyfe. He started the year well and end it well also.

Jim_bob321 · 13/06/2017 at 21:39

Ended up going Taranto – Scooter

    Jose · 13/06/2017 at 23:36

      Jim_bob321 · 14/06/2017 at 08:23

      This round bud

TOPHAWK1 · 13/06/2017 at 21:53

Anyone contemplating holding their trades this week?

No rookie downgrade options at this point.

Perhaps let your playing lambs fatten up this week.

    Don't Blush Baby · 13/06/2017 at 21:59

Yes mate ,but looking at Hannan to Macrae or Heeney because theres only 2 trades next week

      TOPHAWK1 · 13/06/2017 at 22:10

Hannan to Heeney if you have to trade Blush.

I grabbed Macrae last week before the Sydney match. Happy with my decision.

But I reckon Heeney is the next prodigy after watching him in awe last week.

He is young and a gifted freak!

    Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 01:38

I can't do it Tophawk, I went Newman to Doch and SPP to Scooter. Newman's been ok but Doch needed to come in to complete my backline.

    hedski · 14/06/2017 at 08:16

Yeah holding pending team selections, should have 19 playing if Bolton gets a gig.

    Swans2012 · 14/06/2017 at 12:09

Would love to but I'm going to be manufacturing at least 1 trade to get 18 on the park with thanks to bloody harbrow and evw…..

      The Ranger · 14/06/2017 at 14:13

      No way Jose!
Roughead – Yeo and Taranto – Macrae for me this week BANG BANG!

    Harry H · 14/06/2017 at 21:25

I'm holding Hawk. Next week is Berry/Stewart to Lloyd/Ryan

bdog · 13/06/2017 at 22:04

Should i trade out JJ down to Ryan for cap space or is it worth holding also I only have 8 trades left?i

    Top Gun · 13/06/2017 at 22:54

Keep JJ and get a full team

    bdog · 13/06/2017 at 23:31

if you count newman i am full premo over the whole ground once bring Lloyd in for Stewart next week

SCdonkey · 13/06/2017 at 22:05

I'm 1 (maybe 2 or 3) premo/keepers away. Really need to get The Doc in this week. Thinking of Fyfe and Greenwood to The Doc and Selwood.

280k in the bank and 10 trades left
Laird, Simmo, Lloyd, Hibberd, Shaw and Perryman

Danger, Dusty, Pendle, Hanners,
Macrae, Crouch, Priddis and Fyfe

Mummy and Witts

JJK, Yeo, Dahl, Buddy, Nank and Lynch

Bringing in The Doc will complete my backline, though getting rid of Fyfe for Selwood will be 1 short of completing my mid. The upside is that I finally have The Doc and Selwood will generate in cash and may upgrade to a premo further down the track or may be a good cover in M9.

Appreciate any opinions, advice or criticisms.

    TigerNut · 14/06/2017 at 22:17

This bullshit mate. Go with my advice and get a higher averaging on field player for Perryman. Plan is to always make structures stringer. Fyfe is playing hurt. I have him and there is no reason to get rid of him now

Defying_Madness · 13/06/2017 at 22:08

Any help is appreciated.
Looking to try get Doch in my team soon but there is no clean way for me to do so with the limited downgrade options, so I am considering holding.
Playing for rank currently so having to field Parsons and Bolton in my best 18 is kind of a problem.
Looking at holding Witts and eventually swapping him to Gawn once his price drops. Plan on swinging Nank back into the forward line whenever I decide to bring in a ruckman.
Apart from Fyfe and Shaw I am happy with my team but I think I have to hold them at this point with my limited trades.

Here is my team
D: Laird, Adams, Shaw, Hibberd, Rance, Berry (Stewart, Scharenberg)
M: Titch, Danger, Merret, Pendles, Treloar, JPK, Hanners, Fyfe (SPP, Barret, Bolton)
R: Witts, Nank (Strn)
F: Yeo, Macrae, Dahl, Franklin, Heeney, Greenwood (Eddy, Parsons)

Currently sitting on 12 trades, have 2k in the bank and ranked at 2168.

    SCdonkey · 13/06/2017 at 22:27

Fyfe and Shaw is my main worries as well, then Priddis and maybe JJK. You're right there's no clean way of getting The Doc, if I trade Hannan and Greenwood then I'm left with bugger all cash in the bank. But if I downgrade Fyfe to Selwood and Greenwood to The Doc i still have bugger all cash in the bank. But still have Hannan and Selwood generating cash, only need 1 more premo/keeper to go.

    Top Gun · 13/06/2017 at 23:02

Parsons to Brown gives you DPP then Stewart to Ryan and Berry to Doc. Welcome!

      SCdonkey · 13/06/2017 at 23:11

He can't do those trades, he has exactly 18 players this week. he'll be 1 player short.

      Defying_Madness · 13/06/2017 at 23:12

If I do these trades then I only have 16 on field

    Wedge · 14/06/2017 at 00:25

You said you weren't happy with fyfe yeah? I would trade him this week. Good chance that hibberd from north gets a game this week and upgrade either berry/Stewart to doc. That gives you another player this week. You'll have full premo Def and 10 trades. Next week get in bont and brown for spp and Barrett. 8 trades left and full premo mid. Then when gawn is cheapest swing nank forward and you'll probably have some bank and 6 trades to hold for injury/luxuries towards the end of year.

      Defying_Madness · 14/06/2017 at 01:26

I will definitely consider these moves depending on the team lineups this week.

    cobey · 14/06/2017 at 00:34

im afraid to say it but mate the only thing to do is get rid of shaw, if you want doch you can trade berry or stewart down to ryan and then shaw up to doch, i dont think its possible for you to have 18 unless you do that

    Derek · 14/06/2017 at 09:34

Just make sure you have 18 on field this week, that is more important than getting Docherty in this week.

next week you can go Barrett >> Docherty (swing Berry to mid), and SPP to Brown.

This will depend on their prices next week and it might be too close to chance it (Brown might have to be a $102k non-player)

If Hibberd (or any other half decent rookie) is named this week i would trade SPP to Hibberd to make sure you have the cash. Do the maths and see what you think Barrett and docherty's prices will be next week.

      Defying_Madness · 14/06/2017 at 17:44

Trading out Barret and SPP next week doesn't get me close I think since I only have 2k in the bank

Will · 13/06/2017 at 22:12

What do you guys recon of Docherty as a captaincy option this week?

    SCdonkey · 13/06/2017 at 22:20

    Don't you have
Danger, Jelwood, Dusty, Ablett, JPK… etc?

Those types of players has a higher ceiling than The Doc and a better Captain option.

      Northerner · 14/06/2017 at 05:12

But Doch's floor has been so low he's a very safe C option. Use the VC on the high ceiling mid and go safe with Doch on second last game of the round.

        SCdonkey · 14/06/2017 at 09:13

Wouldn't it be safer to go with those players I mentioned as your VC, C option if you have them in your team. They can pump 150+ as for Doc hasn't hit 150+ all season, in Rd 12 was a good option to have as C cause there weren't much other option.

        Will · 14/06/2017 at 16:11

        Cheers mate

    jez_m · 14/06/2017 at 11:19

I'd go for someone other than Beams. He's been good but still carries and injury risk.

Hothi_FC · 13/06/2017 at 22:15

Is it too early to trade in Gawn?

    Don't Blush Baby · 13/06/2017 at 22:21

No mate, his BE is 211 and your best to wait anyway for him to show some form back from injury

    SCdonkey · 13/06/2017 at 22:33

Yeah! I'd wait, might be a straight swap Witts to Gawn in a few weeks.

      Northerner · 14/06/2017 at 05:08

Witts has been outstanding and only improving.

        SCdonkey · 14/06/2017 at 09:07

Agree! Witts has been great all season. Though Gawn has a higher ceiling, you'd want Goldy, Kruezer, Stefan, Mummy and Gawn in your team at some stage

    Cr0magn0n · 13/06/2017 at 23:49

Absolutely it's too early to trade Gawn in. In his last game he only scored 27, he now has a B/E of 211. He is projected to drop $56K after this round alone.

      lachie · 14/06/2017 at 02:56

he scored that because of injury.. the way you phrased it sounds like he is a peanut..

        Northerner · 14/06/2017 at 05:10

Disagree. It's the way you read it. Take a glass half full attitude and you may not feel the need to make criticising posts.

    Derek · 14/06/2017 at 09:07

cash is important and to wait a couple of weeks will save $90k. I think i'll wait, maybe.

I have Docherty, LLoyd & Gawn as my three final upgrades.

Docherty this week, Lloyd bottoms out next week and Gawn will take two weeks to bottom out in price. just have some cows to cull but they are taking forever to fatten up

      Dildor · 14/06/2017 at 09:40

In the exact boat, with only 9 trades left though, starting to sweat.

        Derek · 14/06/2017 at 09:57

        i'm down to 11 trades.

Need to bring in Docherty, Gawn and LLoyd need about $1550k

have: Stewart, SPP, butler, Stewart, parsons, scharenberg, berry & greenwood as my cash cows (cousins and picket are duds).

Won't be able to cull them all so will keep greenwood and berry because of their DPP, leaves 6 to cull. estimate that i'll cash the 6 in over the next couple of weeks for about $1350k……… ok…… i see the problem. there goes another trade, Berry or Greenwood to a rookie to make the extra $200k. Down to 4 trades after full premium. sweatin'

          INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 10:57

Are you sleeping better Derek now that Doch is coming in?

            Derek · 14/06/2017 at 12:09

            he isn't there yet.

my problem is this week only having 17 currently on field. Bring Docherty in will make it 18, but i don't have enough cash to just one trade.

originally i had calculated that it would be myers and Stewart (essendon) out this week and a rookie and Docherty in. I just did a re-calculation and i'm $16k short.

but Stewart went and scored 100+ so he has precious cash to be made.

i don't have any other non-playing rookies (except for Pickett) who has their bye this week and i need all warm bodies on the ground.

Could trade out the other Stewart (cats) but will need to trade in a rookie who is playing this week?? anyone? Hibberd might save me, maybe Pickett gets another game?

              The Ranger · 14/06/2017 at 14:11

Be surprised if Pickett gets another game Derek, he's not been up to much in the magoos.
Mitch Hibberd might be handy if he gets a game this week..

                Derek · 14/06/2017 at 14:38

if Hibberd gets a game i'll bring him back in for Stewart (cats).

                Myers and Stewart OUT.
                Hibberd and Docherty IN.

Need to trade in Cotch over Oliver to be safe for a sure upgrade to Lloyd next week to complete my team, will Cotchin deliver for the remainder of the season at about the same rate as Oliver? Or am I compromising my team?

    JohndJames · 14/06/2017 at 01:24

Why not just keep Oliver who is Mr consistent and downgrade someone else so you can get Lloyd.

      Northerner · 14/06/2017 at 05:07

Option 1. Goldy and Selwood are absolute guns.

matthewspangher · 13/06/2017 at 23:13

    lachie · 13/06/2017 at 23:22

    I'd hold shaw personally.

    Northerner · 14/06/2017 at 05:05

All sideways. Nothing else to work on? You'd need to have 15 trades left to be making those trades.

Mummy was beaten well by Kruezer last game. Any ruck that goes big against Mummy is a good indicator they are in form and the body must be feeling strong and able to take knocks without impacting them. Consider Kruezer instead.

1am … bad time to be posting anything anywhere …

Jock and crew I love your podcasts. I work hard and the only time I have is on a Tuesday night when I take the laptop into another room and supercoach. My girl calls out "are you doing supercoach", "Yep" I reply. "Is that Jock guy involved ?" Yep.

The escapism that you have given to this community is immense and should be considered for what it is. For me it is something that makes me smile even when life gets in the way.

Who is a bigger priority to get in this week, Docherty to complete my defence or Bontempelli to complete my mids, can't get either the week after unless i pass on Jake Lloyd as D6/7 Cover

    cashcows · 14/06/2017 at 04:57

Doc 100%. Need him, he's scoring like a mid premo.
Bont's form as of late has been a bit iffy at 97.6avg in last 5.

    Top Gun · 14/06/2017 at 15:18

Doc. Bont is cheap but you could pick him up next week.

Mal · 14/06/2017 at 08:11

Roberton or go early on Lloyd this week?

Not totally sold on roberton and he'll go down in value this week as well.

Got 11 trades and 105k
Got 18 playing this week. Should i go:
option 1: Myers – Non playing rookie, Hannan – Heeney/JJK (leaves me with 5k/25k depending on which forward i pick)
Option 2: Myers – Non playing rookie (leaves me with 222k to paint fence next week)
Option 3: Myers – Hibberd (if named) (creates the def – mid swingset, leaves me with 199k to paint fence next week)
Option 4: Hold

KrazeeEyezK1lla · 14/06/2017 at 08:48

How is everybody going with fielding 18 decent players this week? A few weeks ago I was looking at 15 or 16 for this round, but I managed to trade and get myself up to having 19 available to choose from

    Derek · 14/06/2017 at 08:55

i'll be making one trade this week. but that will leave me with the minimum 18 on field.

    ProTravo · 14/06/2017 at 09:06

Yeah this is going to be the hardest bye round for me, fielding 18 if Bolton, Fisher and Parsons are all playing.

    Ja191 · 14/06/2017 at 09:16

I've managed 21 (if hibberd nm plays 22) somehow, had 16 in r11 though

TOPHAWK1 · 14/06/2017 at 09:34

Hi Community,

I have a clear choice this week.

1- Save all three trades as I will still have 18 warm bodies on the field. (Includes Bolton and JJK mind you……….both no certainties to play) Not pulling the trade lever would mean I still have 13 trades going into the last 10 rounds.

2- Use all three trades this week and PUT A BROOM through the joint to get rid of the DEAD WOOD.

Trade 1- Andy Otten down to Luke Ryan. (Will be on the bubble after his bye this week and Otten is fully cooked)
Trade 2- Heath Shaw to Jake Lloyd. (Just bite the bullet here and pay 15 to 20 K more to get him now instead of next week)
Trade 3- Nat Fyfe to Dustin Martin.

These three trades would still leave me with $180K in the kitty and I can then start looking to offload the likes of SPP, Berry, Tom Stewart etc thereafter. By making these three trades my side looks like a breath of fresh air and a lot stronger IMO.

The other temporary downside is that I will not be full premo going into round 14. It would mean I would be full premo by either round 15 or16 at the very latest. I reckon there would be many other coaches in that same boat due to the lack of quality rooks this year.

Its just a matter of whether 10 trades will be enough to get me through the rest of the season. What is everyone else contemplating?

    Derek · 14/06/2017 at 09:42

i would do Otten to Ryan this week. back to having only 2 trades per week after this week, so you might as well get that one done and bank the cash.

Shaw to Lloyd is a waste. there won't be much difference between their scores, certainly not enough to do the trade. at the least you can hold that one for another week and save some cash.

Fyfe to martin would only be if fyfe is carrying an injury or your midfield already has 8 premiums. Otherwise i'd be looking at using the Otten cash to upgrade SPP to martin

      TOPHAWK1 · 14/06/2017 at 09:51

Thanks Derek. Will have a good look at that. Cheers

      SCdonkey · 14/06/2017 at 10:21

Fyfe has been carrying sore sternum(breastbone) in the last few weeks. Sandi confirmed, I'm now wondering whether I hold since he has a week off and could be fit when he comes back. Might have to pulled the trigger on Shaw instead.

      Beezneez · 14/06/2017 at 13:44

You could do Otten to Lloyd this week for about $64K and next week the same trade will cost you about $26K. A better option than trading H Shaw imo. For what it's worth, I'm doing 3 trades this week to get 3 warm bodies from Otten, WHE and Fyfe (for Beams). as I have only 14 on field. This will leave me with 10 trades and am looking at full premo in round 15 and I am okay with that.

    Swans2012 · 14/06/2017 at 12:01

Unless it's to avoid donuts I'd hold the shaw and Fyfe trades, feels like a double sideways. Otten to Ryan seems reasonable although involves trusting Ross, but if it allows a one up one down this week would make sense.

      Top Gun · 14/06/2017 at 15:25

Might be a sideways trade but no better time to get rid of Shaw when he has an average of 88.

        Swans2012 · 14/06/2017 at 18:52

Isnt that the worst time to get rid of him after he's shed all his cash? Can't see him getting worse and 88 as a d6 isn't fatal. i think I'm painting the fence this week and bringing in McGovern at d7 rather than sidewaysing Fyfe or shaw…..I can understand the appeal though

KrazeeEyezK1lla · 14/06/2017 at 09:54

Contemplating bringing in Lynch (gold coast) for Zak Jones this week. would leave me with the following team when regular rounds resume. should have 19 to choose from this week.

DEF: Doch, Laird, Adams, Hibberd, Lloyd, Newman (Melican, Scharenberg)
MID: Danger, JSelwood, Pendles, Titch, Rockliff, Bont, JPK, SSelwood (SPP, Cousins, Delucca Cardillo)
RUCK: Grundy, Nank (Strndica)
FWD: Yeo, Dahl, Buddy, Heeney, Lynch, Greenwood (Eddy, Parsons)

this leaves me with only 600 bucks in the kitty, and 10 trades left. I think Melican and Scharenberg have some money to make, and like the idea of Melican perhaps being my D7. can see him continuing to get games. one of them has to go when Luke Ryan is on the bubble next week though. need the extra cash going forward.

SSelwood will stay indefinitely as long as he keeps up his scoring. could be valued up around 450k before we know it. SPP may have to be an M9 cover.

Lack of cash isn't ideal really, but open to suggestions and opinions.

thanks in advance

    Derek · 14/06/2017 at 10:02

Lynch is a good option. Not a fan of the Key forwards, but the Suns are a chance to play finals, they have a great run home and Ablett is in good form which will help Lynch.

    INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 10:55

Don't get attached to Scooter Krazee. One poor score & his price will stall for weeks. Have an immediate exit strategy if that happens. Perhaps take another price rise from Melican & move him to Ryan next week to free up some cash. Too early to get rid of Schrenberg

      KrazeeEyezK1lla · 14/06/2017 at 11:32

yeah Melican with a low BE this week so I'm thinking I'll bank the price increase and palm him off next week for Luke Ryan.

I guess the plan with Scooter can be to wait until he has a crap score, and then maybe look to downgrade him and upgrade SPP? Not exactly sure just yet really.

        INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 11:39

SPP to Brown if he reaches his bubble is an option. The money from SPP & Melican should be able to get decent upgrades for Scooter & Greenwood. You should be eyeing off Greenwood to Max Gawn via Nank DPP

          KrazeeEyezK1lla · 14/06/2017 at 11:41

      Abracadabra · 14/06/2017 at 11:02

Thanks Pieman. I assume you would pick Danger over Selwood as VC. I noted that Danger had a good game at DS earlier this year and I assume by your statement that he had two good games at DS last year.
Incidentally, I have one spot left in my midfield and am trading Fyfe to either Dusty or Bont. Who would you go with? Yes, I know – Don't trade out premiums, look at a Hanners early this year, but there are many better mids than Fyfe this year and hopefully he finds his old form at whatever Vic club is prepared to grab next year. Going for league not rank as I am in the 9000's.

        INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 11:35

If your trading Fyfe I'd go Dusty over Bont ATM. Danger has a 3 round Av of about 150 at Domain. Lock Vc

        INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 10:48

Lock of the century if he did Krazee. Even mid only he's rock solid & has a massive ceiling

Lukey · 14/06/2017 at 10:28

Wallis, Greene, Yeo or Heeney?
I already have 3 dogs (Bont,Dahl and Mac) and 3 swans (Bud, JPK and Lloyd)

    Ja191 · 14/06/2017 at 11:12

i'd say yeo followed by Greene/heeney. Don't really see henney going big every week + yeo has a lot of home games coming up

Simo · 14/06/2017 at 10:42

Do I trade or keep Cal Ward? Had him all year, avg 89, bye this week, and driving me freaking nuts!

    Ja191 · 14/06/2017 at 11:23

you've kept him this long, on the back of a season best score you've gotta back him in for atleast a few more I would think

    Cam_H · 14/06/2017 at 12:07

I can see Ja191's point about sticking with him.
If you've not got Scott Selwood you might consider getting him in for Callan Ward for a few weeks and then upgrade to a $550K midfielder if Scott Selwood's price tapers off. Just a thought.

Joe T · 14/06/2017 at 10:46

Locked in SPP to Selwood and WHE to Macrae this week. With the news on EVW and the benefit of having 3 trades this week, should I downgrade him to Luke Ryan this week or wait till he's actually named next week?

Bringing him in now means I can use 2 trades next week, but also means trusting Lyon to pick him. If there's any other worthwhile rookies to bring in this week I'm happy to hear them

    jez_m · 14/06/2017 at 11:18

I'd wait until teams drop on Thursday. There's every chance Hibberd comes in to replace EVW.

LazyCoach · 14/06/2017 at 10:50

What are Fraser McInnes' chances of getting a game this week?

    Simo · 14/06/2017 at 10:55

Zilcho. He's back on the rookie list

    INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 11:49

Good chance for a game this week in the WAFL

INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 11:42

So Fyfe traders I'm interested to know are you getting rid of him to avoid a donut or you've had enough?

    JDP · 14/06/2017 at 11:48

I will be doing it for both reasons – bringing in Zorko.
Higher ceiling and a decent POD.

      INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 12:07

      Like Zorko

        Tibor · 14/06/2017 at 12:37

What's not to like about Zorko but as for Fyfe maybe a bit of faith should be shown, earlier in the year even gaz was getting chucked out with the hard rubbish and he duly punished the doubters with a double hundred. Fyfe not quite the SuperCoach royalty that gaz has been but no slouch and worth a bit of patience in my opinion

          INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 13:21

I'm not trading Fyfe either Tibor. Barely even considered it. He's carrying an injury & rest will help. But we know what this man is capable of. And you have to find 100k+ get a decent replacement

            TRIGGER HAPPY · 14/06/2017 at 14:58

Thought about it but with my calcs going to be about $20k short of a decent mid as ain't settling for wines, crouch etc.
Looking to bring in Lloyd and maccrae in the next couple of weeks so they take priority.
A rest may do him good if not well he won't drop too much more and will upgrade then.
was going to go fyfe – maccrae this week but then leaves greenwood at F6 and that $20k short of a good mid to replace.

    ProTravo · 14/06/2017 at 12:03

Traded him out last week for Rocky.
    To answer your question both.

    SCdonkey · 14/06/2017 at 12:15

Mainly had enough, also looking at better scoring this week. Trading Fyfe and Greenwood for Doc and Selwood, assuming Bolton and Hannan only scores sub 50 will be out of best 18 scores.

      INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 12:38

Going early on Greenwood Donk that's aggressive. Still has a BE of 1. Fyfe to Doc sounds good to me

        SCdonkey · 14/06/2017 at 13:11

I've been aggressive all season with my rookies, even with Captain choices. Hopefully in this 2nd half of season I'll be more wise of picking my captaincy.

Trading Greenwood will allow me to get Selwood as a back up for an upgrade later on for a fallen premo. With him in my team may give me better scoring, has plenty of cash to be made and a better JS.

          INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 13:26

It's one thing to be aggressive but I'm not sold on that one Donk. Going from a rook with a BE of 1 to a mid pricer who's gone up 70k with a plan to move him up again. Geez I don't know mate. I'd prefer you held Greenwood. He's a great rookie with DPP

            SCdonkey · 14/06/2017 at 13:41

Appreciate your opinion INP, thank you. I'm not looking to offload Selwood right away, I'll be keeping him so long he keeps scoring well and stay on the park. He'll probably remain as M8 or M9.
I have many DPP to swing on all position for cover.

              INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 14:08

Well if your keeping him as an M9 swing then that's ok. I fear Scooter will have a poor score at some point & his price will stall & take some time to get moving again. I have scooter as a short term place holder

      neil Demons Delight · 14/06/2017 at 18:40

Assume Selwood is Joel then I think you.re on the money Doncs. Scooter that's another story

    Rick Grimes · 14/06/2017 at 12:48

Not trading. Fyfe is life. A week's RnR will sort his woes. I hope everyone jumps off and he comes storming home.

      INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 13:27

Fyfe is on life support. But I'm backing him in. He's a GUN

        Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 13:34

Gotta hope he can turn it around, I'm gonna hold, can't afford to waste a trade now. I'm almost into single figure trades.

          Rick Grimes · 14/06/2017 at 13:58

I'm already there! 9 left after this week's trades. Fyfe should be able to average 100, so worst case I wait another few weeks and if trades are still there pump him up to a Gaz or Jelwood. Time it right and the jump might only be $50k.

        Dorbby · 14/06/2017 at 15:36

        Used to be.

    Beezneez · 14/06/2017 at 14:01

Both reasons for me. My three trades this week are to bring in 3 non bye players and to offload Otten, WHE and Fyfe to premos or semi premos. Have been disappointed with Fyfe's scoring since round 6 and it's obvious he is not right. Since round 6 he has had 3 scores in the 90's with a highest score of 104. For $70 – $110K I can get the likes of Beams, Ablett, Selwood and Martin – no-brainer for me.

      INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 14:11

Fair enough Beez. Each to their own on bank & trades remaining. Otten & WHE no brainers to move on

    Mavs17 · 14/06/2017 at 14:49

People are forgetting how well Fyfe was playing earlier in the year… strung a few 100s together as well. Freo looked like they needed the Bye last game, I think this will do Fyfe good and he will be ready to come out with a bang after. Would much rather trade out Steele as I don't think he has a high ceiling and looks like he will start losing money.

Traded Steele to McRae and Kept Fyfe

    Top Gun · 14/06/2017 at 15:32

Donut for me …he goes to Bont easy swap.

      INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 18:23

      Don't mind that trade TG

    BigBuggars · 14/06/2017 at 17:20

A weeks rest plus Sandi coming back to whack it down his gullet; oh ye of little faith…

    neil Demons Delight · 14/06/2017 at 18:32

good day to you Pies yep had enough of him and my first ever sideward premium trade. Went for the DOC so relying on Scooter as M8 I think he is better than Fyfe for the next 10 weeks that's the key…If I DONT do it I have Williams or Howe as D6 work it out cheers mate good post

Jimmy · 14/06/2017 at 11:45

Want to get the Bont in this week to field 18 and I'm looking at trading either Fyfe or Heppell. Was originally planning on trading Heppell at his bye but Fyfe i'm concerned about. Thoughts?

    Tibor · 14/06/2017 at 12:33

Save the trade unless you have heaps to use. Back Fyfe to turn it around.

VARC · 14/06/2017 at 12:03

Going early on Lloyd this week despite knowing he will drop another 30k as it will derail my plans if I delay.

Will be going SPP to Lloyd and then next week Stewart to Ryan and Newman to any mid I want.

Thoughts, or should I do something different, team below, 15 trades and 130k

B: Docherty, Laird, Adams, Shaw, Rance, Newman (Berry, Stewart)
M: Danger, Bont, Pendles, Rockliff, Hannebery, Fyfe, SPP, Barrett (Cousins, Hibberd, Bolton)
R: Martin, Sandilands (Strnadica)
F: Dahlhaus, Macrae, Franklin, Nank, Heeney, Greenwood (Parsons, Eddy)

Sam · 14/06/2017 at 12:07

Hey Jock, just wondering if you are going to have any coach king events at pubs in Geelong?

Ackybreaky · 14/06/2017 at 12:14

I think? I am going to trade WHE for Bolton which will enable me to get Dusty this weekend and have $130K to upgrade to Bont (Maybe) the following week.
Richmond supporters and/or others. Bolton has made only a small amount and is is still cheap BUT how is his job sercurity. Who at Tigerland is waiting to grab his spot?

    Ja191 · 14/06/2017 at 12:18

Elton, he is absolute shitehouse but is a tall and can help out nank in the ruck/2nd tall besides jack. We are going with a small forward set up currently and I see his JS pretty solid if we continue to perform well. That being said the kid will be a gun

      Ackybreaky · 14/06/2017 at 15:34

      Thanks mate. Might risk it.

        BigBuggars · 14/06/2017 at 17:26

Also, Elton did his shoulder in the Magoos and will prob be missing for a while yet.

TheGreatBozza · 14/06/2017 at 12:29

The Tex Factor – 16 trades and 146 K

DEF: Doc, Newman, Stewart, Adams, Laird, Shaw (Howe, Scharenberg)
MID: Danger, Beams, JPK, Bont, S.Selwood, SPP, Fisher, Treloar (Pendles, Fyfe, Cousins)
R: Sandi, Nank, Grundy
FWD: Macrae, Heeny, Dahl, Hannan, Bolton, Taranto (Greenwood, D.Cameron)

I'm sitting at 7000 so I'm only worried about leagues for now. Any ideas on trades I could make?

I'm 5k odd short of Taranto > Yeo so I'm thinking the following

Option 1:
Taranto > Lynch
Cop the donut

Option 2:
Taranto > Lynch
Sandi > Yeo
Still cop a donut as I'll have 7 FWDs available but no swingset in the middle

Option 3:
Taranto > Lynch
Fyfe > Yeo
Avoid the donut

Option 4:
Taranto > Lynch
Sandi > Stef (only ruck I can afford)
Avoid the donut

As I'm playing for leagues I'm tempted to cop a donut this week and hope for the best as I want to give Fyfe another chance while I'm planning on going Sandi > Gawn soon hopefully. My trades for next week will be Stewart > Ryan, Newman > Lloyd unless there is carnage

    nankthetank · 15/06/2017 at 08:59

I like option 4 a lot, not keen on trading Fyfe or getting an extra forward that you cant play. If you don't go 4 go 1 and cop it

Steeeve · 14/06/2017 at 12:51

Hoping Gawn is back this week. Will be ripe for the picking in a fortnight at which opint I'll be full premo apart from Witts. I can't see any good reason to trade Witts really. Luxury trade in SC finals if anything and even then wouldn't trust any other ruck to better him on a given day.

Kreuzer is on fire but we've never seen this from him before. Can it last? Can he stay uninjured?
Mummy gets injured every year. Do you really want to gamble that this will be the one year he doesn't?
Grundy looks to be hitting his stride but is he worth an upgrade from Witts? They're averaging the same and GCS have a soft run home.
Sauce is same as Grundy.
Goldy has been disappointing and is still a bit pricey for mine.
Martin has the Archie factor.
Ryder is jumping all over people and still not scoring well.

    Roberto · 14/06/2017 at 13:20

    Good synopsis Steeeve.
I cannot understand the hysteria over Gawn. I had him last year and he was great and fortunately I didn't get him this year because he was too pricey. Big Max is coming off a very serious injury. It looks like The Dees will be slotting him straight in this week BUT, as a Medico, it will be weeks (Not a fortnight) before/if he comes good again – minimum 3 weeks then I will contemplate getting him although I have the best two rucks at the moment.
People are writing about trading premiums and sideways trading. What about Gawn. He is one player yet some treat him as the answer to their SC woes. Just saying!

      Steeeve · 14/06/2017 at 17:22

He suits my trade plans perfectly, if he comes back this week that is. I was considering Nick Roo. Big Maxy via Nank seems preferable.

    INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 14:15

Agree with ya Steeeve on Witts. Not fashionable but he gets the job done

Jim_bob321 · 14/06/2017 at 12:55

Do u fellas think Hannan is a hold regardless of bye structure?

    Ben · 14/06/2017 at 13:33

Projected to increase 13K this week so worth holding unless you need to cash in this round

    Top Gun · 14/06/2017 at 15:33

    Hold with his low BE

Stompy · 14/06/2017 at 12:56

Ranked 83rd overall and if i trade out Fyfe I will have 21 players playing. Is it worth trading in Ryan, and only having 20 on the park?
Also who should i trade in for Fyfe, so far D. Martin and Ablett are the frontrunners since i have most of the good mid premiums. (This will be my last premium in the midfield, so it has to be a great one)

    The Ranger · 14/06/2017 at 13:59

    How many trades left Stompy?
And congrats on a great year so far mate.

    Jake.B · 14/06/2017 at 16:01

Why not, if you have any plans next week make the trades you need this week to set you up. You'd hate to get to next week and need 3 or 4 trades to do what you wanted to do. That's my plan for this week any next week anyway.

    smart as s · 14/06/2017 at 17:11

how many rookies are you playing this week?

Stinga · 14/06/2017 at 13:06

Thoughts on mid to bring in for fyfe? Got about 568k to use. Thinking JPK or Bont.

Got Titchell, Pendles, Danger, Jelwood, Dusty, Scooter.

    Bells · 14/06/2017 at 13:15

JPK always comes home stronger than the start of the year. Was unlucky not to go huge last week. If going Bont you might as well keep Fyfe imho. I'm going Gaz or Selwood for the monster score potential.

Bells · 14/06/2017 at 13:13

Fyfe to Ablett. Too risky with the shoulder? He is in ripping form and a good captain option every week atm.
I just can't see Fyfe getting back to 115 plus scores on the regular atm.

    Ja191 · 14/06/2017 at 13:33

that's what iv'e gone, backing the little master in

Fearthebeard · 14/06/2017 at 13:23

Dusty, Selwood, Bont?

Who you lads reckon?

    Fearthebeard · 14/06/2017 at 13:23

    Or gaz? Zorko? Rockliff?

      Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 13:32

My order of preference would be…
Selwood…Hardest nut in the AFL and Cats are flying
Dusty………Hard nut and seems to past the bad form
Gaz…………or if he's really over his shoulder, maybe he should be no 1
      Zorko………Ball magnet and solid choice
Bont………..out of form as are his team
Rockliff……Still not sure about his durability

        JohndJames · 14/06/2017 at 16:58

Well put Russty, gee I only have Bont out of those six,but happy with what I have, wouldn't trade out any of them.

    Bells · 14/06/2017 at 15:48

    Not bont

matthewspangher · 14/06/2017 at 13:37

best option as D5/6? Got doc, laird, roberton, adams and simpson

safest option lloyed next week? or could hibbered come home stronger

    Derek · 14/06/2017 at 13:42

Lloyd is DPP, that might be important

Big G · 14/06/2017 at 13:42

What is the bet Gary will be the most traded in player this week?

    INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 14:17

He won't be. The most traded in player isn't playing this week. Luke Ryan. Gary currently 9th

      Rooster XXX · 14/06/2017 at 15:20

Pieman your favourite man in purple Luke Ryan top of the trade in pops!!!

Good to see Ryan & Scharanberg score solidly last week after the unwarranted abuse you copped from a few keyboard warriors prior to the round kicking off!!!

Both look like solid cash cows moving fwd one of them could well end up staying the season as a D7…. I think both these boys will continue to improve in coming weeks with more game time and defined roles within their respective sides.

Both seem to have relatively good JS – although never can tell with Rossy Lyon!!!

        INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 19:44

I don't listen to the keyboard warriors who bagged those picks. I know enough about them. I think both lads are good picks

matthewspangher · 14/06/2017 at 13:55

got to get rid of myers this week, any mid rookies that are a good chance to start making money within the next 3 or so weeks?

    INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 14:18

Cal Brown or Jono Beech. Both have the bye. That is all I think

      matthewspangher · 14/06/2017 at 14:22

cheers, any idea who would have the better job security? collingwood seem to have afew players coming back soon

Juzzy · 14/06/2017 at 14:23

Am I missing something or has everyone gone bonkers with this trading out Fyfe thing ?
A weeks rest and Sandi back putting the ball down his throat is surely worth saving a trade to watch.

Hanneberry, Pendles, Ablett were widely traded out due to a few bad games or reliability issues …

    JohndJames · 14/06/2017 at 14:34

I'm with you Juzzy, you would think people had bigger issues to deal with, unless they are already full premo, which I am not, still four players away from that with only 9 trades left,so I probably wont even get there, although the rookies I have left on the field are all performing well so no rush to trade them anyway.

    Mavs17 · 14/06/2017 at 14:51

I agree, people have gone a bit crazy…
Myself I am holding, he played well at the start of the year and had a few games in a row where he was 99/98ish so was not far off the mark.
Trading Steele for McRae instead which will leave me with 7 trades left and Greenwood being my only rookie left on field.

    ProTravo · 14/06/2017 at 15:20

Fyfe has had more than a few bad games and continues to drop from his already low price compared to what Hanners and Pendles were at.
Ablett is up and down and I wouldn't have him in my side this year, despite a run of great performances.

    Top Gun · 14/06/2017 at 15:36

It depends on your situation. I have moved into the top 600 so I need Fyfe out to avoid a donut.

      Juzzy · 14/06/2017 at 15:50

Spot on TG. It depends on your situation.
I am sitting about 3000ish and by the grace of god may be able to field 18 this week.
I have the luxury to hold Fyfe.
If I was in your situation I would do exactly the same and trade him.

      Hope you pick a winner.

        Top Gun · 14/06/2017 at 19:39

Thanks. This will be one of the toughest weeks with people having so many Collingwood and Adelaide players in their side.

    Goat · 14/06/2017 at 16:09

His BE is 97. Its hardly unobtainable in rd 14. One high game and he is making money again. I don't have trades to burn. I picked him (and Shaw) and I will finish the ride. His price reflects where he is at and its hardly a disastrous M8 unless you are in the hunt for the $$ (which I am not).

matthewspangher · 14/06/2017 at 15:13

Thinking about Fyfe>Bont, wasnt going to give up on him just yet but with 14 trades left im considering it based on the low chances of grabbing a 110+ for the price of bont this week for the rest of the year. $45k upgrade seems worth the point output even is fyfe does clean his act up

Rascel · 14/06/2017 at 15:24

Absolutely endorse that although I am getting Ablett for Fyfe this week and Bont in a week or two.

percytheslice · 14/06/2017 at 15:24

fyfe to yablett
hoskin to heeney

community thoughts please

FrankoCotzo · 14/06/2017 at 15:40

If Hibberd, NM isn't picked this week I will reluctantly trade him for Ryan although Hibberd must be a good chance. Still got Berry in my mid thank goodness.

    Wedge · 14/06/2017 at 19:04

Hold on that trade until next week. Ryan price isn't changing yet

Ryan · 14/06/2017 at 15:45

Genuine Pimp my Team here. Is it worth it though?

Newman -> Doch

Steele -> Yeo

10 trades left, 2k in the bank

Team is:
DEF: Doch, Laird, Adams, Lloyd, Simmo,Hurley – BENCH: Melican, Shaz

MID: Danger, Jelwood, Dusty, JPK, Oliver, Titch, Treloar, Fyfe – BENCH: Barrett, SPP, D. Lloyd

RUCK: Martin, Witts – BENCH: Soldo

FWD: Yeo, Dahl, Nank, Higgins, Stewart, Greenwood – BENCH: Parsons, Miles

In the next couple of weeks i will cull SPP, Barrett, Greenwood and Stewart and go bang bang with 2 premo forwards (who ever i want) and be full premo. If Fyfe continues to soil his pants he may be moved on to Bont after the bye. Projected score for this week is 1884 with 18 playing so hopefully this week boosts me up the ranks. redherringfc · 14/06/2017 at 16:42

I'd bring Macrae in before Yeo.

MonicaD · 14/06/2017 at 15:47

All the talk is about keeping trades. I'm new to SC and it is confusing. When does the first final start? Round 20? Also I have one team in an 18 person league and one in a 10 person league. Do the finals start the same time? In both leagues? I have 8 trades left and have a gap or two left in my team. I have learnt a lot through Jock and Co and will be a better SCer in 2018. I wish I'd started playing years ago. How long has SC been going? Sorry about all the questions.

    Juzzy · 14/06/2017 at 16:16

Finals start round 20 for all leagues.

Supercoach has been going for a long time. As I recall one of Jocks early masterstrokes was trading in Jesaulenko.

    Goat · 14/06/2017 at 16:19

It looks as if finals start in all leagues in rd. 20. I can't help you with the historical stuff. In my 3rd year. I echo your appreciation to Jock & Co. etc. I'm always improving … but so is everyone else!

    The Ranger · 14/06/2017 at 16:51

It took me about four years to learn the value of keeping a few trades up my sleeve when playing for league wins MonicaD, most people run out of trades over the last few rounds and when injuries come around, as they often do late in the season, they can't trade in a replacement and have to play a crap rookie or cop a donut. Some players, particularly those playing finals, might be "rested" or "managed" too which can and will create havoc. Try and have 4-6 trades left for finals if you can, 3 at a minimum. And good luck!

      MonicaD · 14/06/2017 at 17:17

Thanks for everyone's help especially you Ranger. Rested, managed?????

        Top Gun · 14/06/2017 at 19:42

Rested or managed means that players might be sore or they don't want to give too much of a heavy workload to other players, especially rookies.

    Top Gun · 14/06/2017 at 19:34

Monica if you started years ago you wouldn't have a life too. Lol.

Jake.B · 14/06/2017 at 16:05

WHE to macrae or heeney? Leaning towards macrae.

Greenwood il upgrade to gawn in a few weeks and then il only have Barrett left on my field as a rookie who il look at upgrading to dusty.

    Ja191 · 14/06/2017 at 16:23

macrae's the safe option, heeney has a higher ceiling but is risker (glandular eg) – positives and negatives for both xd

    randomcliche · 15/06/2017 at 13:09

I wouldn't worry about the gladular reoccurring. Looks to be well past it. It's not chronic fatigue…

bdog · 14/06/2017 at 16:11

anyone thought about sidewaying sloane to martin this week?

    Goat · 14/06/2017 at 16:22

I have thought … and thought … and there is a lot of merit to it. But when I do the math, I want Martin anyway and I can get him next week and have Rory and Dusty side by side…and one more trade.

Top Gun · 14/06/2017 at 16:19

I wish Liam Jones was playing defence in Supercoach and not forward. Might be a sneaky POD if he can repeat the form from last weekedn.

B.T · 14/06/2017 at 16:22

Fyfe to Jelwood a good move?

I have 15 trades prior to making any moves. Only need to upgrade Newman, Greenwood and Scooter.

    Ja191 · 14/06/2017 at 16:37

Boy oh boy wowee that's a good move. Would also recommend going Newman to Welinghammmmm, bloke drives me NA-NAAs

NickMacMan · 14/06/2017 at 16:38

is it time to move on newman?

    nankthetank · 15/06/2017 at 09:09

Yep, made his money and with a BE of 86 (ave 90) I can't see him making any more. At 420K, you should be able to go to a premo, wither straight up or trading him with another rookie who has made their money.

    Bells · 15/06/2017 at 12:45

Nah, he'll go big on the mcg this week. Plenty of room for his left foot to hit targets.

Joshua · 14/06/2017 at 16:51

Field 17 and hold Fyfe or trade to Cotchin and field 18? (cash restricted otherwise would have gone Oliver)

    Randomcliche2 · 15/06/2017 at 13:11

    Parker over Crotch 😛

lewyhewy · 14/06/2017 at 16:53

should I go Fyfe to Oliver or Parker or just go for a proven mid like dusty or even danger

korza · 14/06/2017 at 17:03

Ok currently ranked 87th overall, after listening to the podcast, gonna pull the trigger and bring in Boyd. FM, hope Patch or Lekdog reads this to advise.

    Northernsoul74 · 14/06/2017 at 18:36

    Matt Boyd? Don't do it.

      Wedge · 14/06/2017 at 18:44

I can't think of any Boyd worth having

    Bells · 14/06/2017 at 19:05

Boyd, not Lloyd? Could be a pod at the tippy top to make up ground. Got to take a risk I guess.

    Juzzy · 15/06/2017 at 01:26

Mate , if you have thought yourself to 87th keep backing your own judgement .

    Good Luck.

Joshuq · 14/06/2017 at 17:05

Steele to Franklin a good trade? If Swans have a bad game my team will be gone lol, already have Hanners, Kennedy and trading in Lloyd next week.

    Derek · 14/06/2017 at 17:23

Rance will give Franklin a tough time this week

      Jose · 14/06/2017 at 19:14

Kicked 7 on him last time

NickMacMan · 14/06/2017 at 17:11

Fyfe to Jelwood, Dusty or Zorko?

    Nicko · 14/06/2017 at 19:01

1st trade decent. definitely not the second

    Top Gun · 14/06/2017 at 19:45

All of the above are brilliant in their own right.

    HarryO · 14/06/2017 at 20:02

not following the dusty to zorko?? why…

      nankthetank · 15/06/2017 at 09:10

I think that it's one trade: fyfe to either Jelwood, dusty, Zorko

        Randomcliche2 · 15/06/2017 at 13:13

Correct, the comma should be read as an or, a semi colon would have been appropriate for a second trade…. 😛

Jimmy · 14/06/2017 at 17:13

Fielded 19 players last week and had an abysmal score. I'd like to thank JJ for being a soft twat, Sloane who can't do a fkn thing when tagged and Steele with all his prettiness. I'll excuse Burton for his below avg performance as he has been a champion for me!! Finally bringing in Docherty this week for Roughy. Gives me 20 on field and hopefully I can make up the ground that I lost last week

    korza · 14/06/2017 at 17:15

Onya Jimmy, lipstick Steele giving me headaches too.

smart as s · 14/06/2017 at 17:13

how many rookies are people playing this week (exclude witts)?

    Joshua · 14/06/2017 at 17:28

    2, Berry and Parsons

      smart as s · 14/06/2017 at 17:33

your in for a big week compared to most

    The Ranger · 14/06/2017 at 17:35

    4 + Newman

    Randomcliche2 · 15/06/2017 at 13:14

The real question is how many premos…..17 here…

Will · 14/06/2017 at 17:21

Anyone know what Luke Ryan's JS is like?

    nankthetank · 15/06/2017 at 09:11

Should be good but Lyons is a tard

smart as s · 14/06/2017 at 17:24

i think it doesnt matter how many players you have this week, its about the quality of the players. If you have 16 premiums and 2 rookies, you will score a lot better than say 14 premiums and 8 rookies

    neil Demons Delight · 14/06/2017 at 17:55

That's true smarty and that's where planning comes into it.. I planned early and done ok but looking at my trades found 6 bad calls.. Each year is a learning curve

    redherringfc · 14/06/2017 at 19:20

    It's what i'm hoping for. 16 + 1.

Unless an out of the blue rookie pops his head up, I have absolutely no way to get an 18th player without doing a very bad sideways trade.

    Leeds17 · 14/06/2017 at 19:25

In theory yes but Barrett did just outscore Bont, Rocky & Fyfe…

    Top Gun · 14/06/2017 at 19:50

True but sometimes a rookie can score above his average and a premium player underscores – think Barrett and Sloan last week. The more players you have in a bye can help you dump the dud scores. Pity I only have 18 players this week although 15 are premos and three mids (SSelwood, SPP and Barrett).

Jink · 14/06/2017 at 17:27

Should I go early on Barrett to get Dusty/Jelwood. Only way I can get em in. Will also put 18 on park. Just hate to go early on a great rookie

    Bells · 14/06/2017 at 20:33

Smh No hurry on Dusty imo. Swans s will belt Richmond. Dusty to score low.

      HarryO · 14/06/2017 at 20:38

dustys and selwoods BE very very low. if they do go 130+ like they have been they're gonna skyrocket $$$. I went SPP > dusty only minutes ago. nice run home and love his ceiling.

    RulesBloke · 14/06/2017 at 21:40

Get the premo as soon as you can afford him

Darc · 14/06/2017 at 17:27

Stef Martin or Witts?

Safe with Witts as it seems he has broken the Archie curse .

Save some coin with Witts

    Darc · 14/06/2017 at 17:28

Meant to say,go safe with Stef Martin, not witts.

    smart as s · 14/06/2017 at 17:37

i think witts output will drop thats when big maxy gawn will come save the day

neil Demons Delight · 14/06/2017 at 17:42

This week I trade in Doc and Tuohy to reach full prem. The last spot D6 I went for Tuohy ahead of Howe both I consider prems. This is the one position where many are in contention Shaw Williams Tuohy Howe Simmo but for me its Tuohy did I miss someone

    Swans2012 · 14/06/2017 at 18:40

I'm considering McGovern as a cheaper option, admittedly he'all be d7 and all I can afford this week to get 18 but I like him….

    Top Gun · 14/06/2017 at 19:51

    Roberson or Lloyd?

      Top Gun · 14/06/2017 at 19:52

        neil Demons Delight · 14/06/2017 at 20:04

got Lloyd but completely forgot Roberton however still behind Tuohy

JDP · 14/06/2017 at 17:55

I would love some advice community as I am up against main rival in cricket club league and winning will be very rewarding! I have 16 trades before this round And need to trade to get 18 players

Doch, Laird, Adams, Shaw, Hibberd, Jones (Stewart Hibberd)

Danger, JPK, Pendels, Titch, Cripps, Fyfe, pepper-p, Barrett (Berry, Bolton, Cousins)

Goldi, Ryder

Macrae, Dahl, Greene, Nank, Taranto, Greenwood (Parsons, Eddy)

Option 1: Taranto – Ainsworth. Fyfe – Dusty. 100k in bank

Option 2: SPP – Ainsworth. Taranto – Yeo. 20k in bank

Would really appreciate some help

    skdo · 14/06/2017 at 19:29

Why not use all three trades go Taranto to Yeo and SPP to any Midfield option by going jones to Brown (DPP) or Ryan

    Top Gun · 14/06/2017 at 20:13

If I counted correctly you need two players to make 18. If that is the case why are you trading SPP?
Option 1 is better but I'm not sure about Ainsworth

H C · 14/06/2017 at 17:55

Taranto>Lynch (GC)
Myers>Ryan (via Hibberd)
T.Stewart>Lloyd (Bit early)
39k remaining
Taranto>Stef.Martin (Via nank)
Myers>Ryan (Via Hibberd)
6k remaining

    cobey · 14/06/2017 at 18:35

second option by far and trade in jelwood not jpk in my opinion

INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 18:11

Fraser Mcinness just got upgraded back off the rookie list. Someone asked about his chances of playing this week. I'd say he's a chance now

    jockreynolds · 14/06/2017 at 19:13

    Bugger – he's missed out

      INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 19:15

Bit of a tease aye upgrading him off the rookie list half an hour before teams then leaving him out!

        nankthetank · 15/06/2017 at 08:37

Will he get a game again?? Cos he's taking up 155,000 much needed dollars!

BoiToi · 14/06/2017 at 18:25

Best forward under 450k?

    SF4 · 14/06/2017 at 20:09

    Tom Lynch from Gold Coast

Jim_bob321 · 14/06/2017 at 18:30

McInnes not named

TOPHAWK1 · 14/06/2017 at 18:33

No JJK. Here come the donuts………

    SCdonkey · 14/06/2017 at 18:35

We had a feeling TH that JJK will be out longer. I'm thinking he'll still be out next week. Might have to move him out, bring macrae back fwd and get Bont.

      TOPHAWK1 · 14/06/2017 at 18:39

I think so too Doncs. Calf injuries always take longer that people think. And even if he comes back next week or the next, what is to say he will not break down again? Thank goodness I grabbed Macrae last week, but I now have one official donut if I do not trade this week. So something is going to have to be done now. Knowing my luck, Bolton will be out tomorrow as well.

    cobey · 14/06/2017 at 18:36

hahaha same i need bolten to play

    Kyle · 14/06/2017 at 21:48

Didnt they say it would be 3 weeks out when it happened? Only been 2 so far

Pat · 14/06/2017 at 18:41

DEF: Doc, Hibberd – Melb, Tuohy, Newmann, Berry, Hibberd – Nth (Shaw, Adams)
MID: Danger, S Selwood, Merrett, Beams, JPK, Macrae, P-Pepper, Myers (Fyfe, Pendles, Cousins)
RUC: Sandi, Martin (Strnadica)
FWD: Lynch, Dahlhaus, Franklin, Roughy, Nank, Parsons (Eddy, Greenwood)
13 trades – 97K, Not sure if Eddy or Hibberd get a game this week.
17 on field, maybe…
Hold Myers and Roughy this week or trade to who?

    skdo · 14/06/2017 at 19:24

Myers to brown then Roughy to Yeo or any other forward preference

    Dean · 14/06/2017 at 23:34

Yeah you should have 17 playing, I have these guys playing in your team.
DEF: Doc, Hibberd, Tuohy, Newman & Berry
MID: Danger, Scooter, Beams, JPK, Macrae, Pepper
    RUCK: Martin
FWD: Lynch, Dahlhaus, Franklin, Nank, Parsons

Yep 1 trade this week is all that's needed Roughy to Yeo or another very simple fix would be to trade out Fyfe as he sure isn't scoring like a premo and bring in Zorko or Jelwood that gives you 18 with just using the one trade and a much needed upgrade if you chose Fyfe to Zorko or whoever.
However I would go Roughy to Yeo he is the #1 Forward thus far.

I don't see any point trading out Myers to Brown & then Roughy to Yeo as skdo suggested because you can go Roughy straight to Yeo as you have enough cash in your kitty to do so.
It's pointless trading in a non playing rookie such as Brown when they have their bye round this week, wait until next week and make sure they are selected prior to bringing any rookie in.

Next week you can trade Berry for Ryan if he is named to play and pocket $200k and then go P-Pepper to the Bont or whatever mid you like around the $530k

Liam · 14/06/2017 at 18:42

Do i hold jack steven or trade for Bontempelli?

    nankthetank · 15/06/2017 at 08:37

Chubby McChubby · 14/06/2017 at 18:51

How will Dusty handle the same tag as JJ copped last week?

    Bells · 14/06/2017 at 19:00

He won't get Hewett. Jack maybe…

      Chubby McChubby · 14/06/2017 at 19:09

I was just watching Afl teams on Fox and they mentioned it would be Hewett

    SF4 · 14/06/2017 at 19:32

Dusty is a much better player than JJ

    Ja191 · 14/06/2017 at 19:47

dusty can handle a tag. Freo tagged him a few weeks back and removed it off him after 10 minutes

    Top Gun · 14/06/2017 at 20:16

    Dusty has the 'Don't argue'

    boner contention · 14/06/2017 at 20:23

    Dusty is a class above.

    Skinny McThin · 14/06/2017 at 21:54

His history with a tag is terrible, slight improvement this year but that been against the softest tags in recent history. If he's back from NZ I wouldn't pay 600k for him. He gets sucked in easily when closely tagged and jumper punches are reportable now, he's only one good sledge away from a 3-weeks holiday

Bock Choy · 14/06/2017 at 19:00

Just noticed that EVW is listed with a PCL and not back 'til Rounds 19-21. This makes a tough round tougher as he was at least a playing warm body for this week.

    boner contention · 14/06/2017 at 20:24

    Dont bring him in

Sugargum · 14/06/2017 at 19:02

Fielding 17 currently, Do I stick fat with Fyfe or trade to Cotchin?

    INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 19:20

Despite the nice numbers from Cotch this year I'd stick fat

      Sugargum · 14/06/2017 at 20:08

If it was to Oliver would that change things?

        INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 20:18

        No. Fyfe won a brownlow

    HarryO · 14/06/2017 at 20:20

hopefully this break is what fyfe needs and comes back strong similar to treloar. fingers crossed haha im holding him

    boner contention · 14/06/2017 at 20:23

    fyfe out asap Sg

min0008 · 14/06/2017 at 19:09

SPP to Ryan
Barrett to Selwood
Fyfe to Martin/Ablett

    INPieman · 14/06/2017 at 19:22

Go Martin not Ablett as well

The BONT · 14/06/2017 at 19:23

Should i go with the trade of Burton to Franklin or Wallis
Or hold Burton and have 18 players play this week

The BONT · 14/06/2017 at 19:26

Good or bad trade

Burton to Yeo
Eddy to English (via DPP)

Burton to Wallis or Franklin

    Top Gun · 14/06/2017 at 20:19

Depends how many trades you have left. Yeo might score more consistently but can you go without the Buddy factor? I don't think Wallis will keep the same average up.

    BoiToi · 14/06/2017 at 20:36

English will probably be dropped this week so make sure you keep an eye on that

    Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 20:44

Yeah English ain't worth a trade, he's been nothing but shite..and won't make you any money if he gets a game..plays like an Englishman!…too skinny and pasty lol

The BONT · 14/06/2017 at 19:31

Good or bad trade

Burton to Yeo
Preuss to Strandica
Berry to Lloyd

    The BONT · 14/06/2017 at 19:34

That means 10 trades left and only 2 away from full premo

      boner contention · 14/06/2017 at 20:21

      just do it Bontboy

davo · 14/06/2017 at 19:36

Might be time to select Liam Jones as a cheap forward?

    Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 20:27

He played well as a back last week but….the guy's chronically inconsistent mate, I think we all need to be targeting only premos now on all lines, other than any rookies you think could make money to allow premos to come in.
It would be a very risky call that could backfire bigtime.

    Darc · 14/06/2017 at 20:34

Wouldn't think so at this stage of the year. Get closer to full premo rather than trading away from it. If Liam Jones goes back to normal then you will just have to trade him to someone else.

    LogicAl · 14/06/2017 at 21:47

Depends on the situation Davo, I swapped WHE for him so that I could have 18 on field he's a much better option than anybody else under 370k. He'll make more money in 2 weeks than Bolton or Brown and he'll score well.
His form in the VFL playing the same role over last 5 weeks had a SC ave over 120! Buddy and other KPF regularly pump out sub 70 scores so you need reliable bench cover to loop hole. Rowe and ASilvagni are finished for the year so Jones' job is very secure

      Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 21:56

No offence AL, but I wouldn't touch that guy with a double length Bargepole…ever, especially not at this time of year…when getting premiums in is paramount.

    Don't Blush Baby · 14/06/2017 at 22:01

    At 319k,seriously not

Timmytwo · 14/06/2017 at 19:43

Love this forum and have really enjoyed this week especially.
I have had two ripper bye rounds in the mid 1900's and this week going in with 16 warm bodies. Can get 18 if I trade out Fyfe and WHE however I am going to lose all four leagues but at least I will have 14 trades to fill two forward spots and upgrade S. Selwood at some stage.
I have stuck with Sandi and hope he can continue to do ok and hopefully Fyfe will be better for the rest. Two hopes I know but not prepared to take a risk at this stage for the sake of reckless trading.
Good luck to everyone and keep writing interesting stuff Pieman, Derek, rusty, the WA and the Demon guy etc.

    neil Demons Delight · 14/06/2017 at 20:24

well done Timmy mid 1900s is some score twice. In my humble opinion I think both should go particularly with 14 trades. maybe another big one .I am going Fyfe to doc and Stewart to Tuohy as I believe Doc and Tuohy are must haves but if in your position I would go Bont and Heeney wish I COULD CHEERS

    Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 20:24

Cheers Timmy…I'd probably hold on Fyfe mate, but would definitely be looking to offload WHE, hopefully you have the cash to upgrade him to someone decent?

    B T · 14/06/2017 at 20:33

Played well on Thursday against the dogs but he's form before that has been nothing short of poor. Although at 470k he could be an absolute bargain if he gets going.

    Timmytwo · 14/06/2017 at 22:08

Thanks everyone. I will trade WHE and Butler for Macrae and Bolton. 15 on field but have got another premium forward and looking forward to round 14 where I will have a pretty good side to manage.

      Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 22:26

That's it Timmy, you have to build your team over the season, forget about trying to win the grand prize, until you get more experienced, and focus on League wins, cause that's most of the fun anyway!….These guys here are really good though, for advice and as a template…(I played this game for years without a clue and kept making the same mistakes until I joined the Jock Reynolds Community)…One of the most important things mate is…Picking a good squad to start with , and the right rookies, not that this year has been easy, but the rookies who most people agree will play, and then that can change bigtime with the first teams named.
All I'm saying is, don't start with a bunch of unproven, speculative spuds just because they're cheap.
It's a combination of Knowledge, Luck and research. The goal is to get to a full premium high scoring side and still having enough trades left for when stuff goes wrong, eg: injuries or suspensions, late in the season.

      Good luck.

Tim · 14/06/2017 at 19:51

Thoughts on Luke Parker?

    Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 20:21

Pretty inconsistent this year, not like his usual self, he's cheap but so are a lot of his scores.

Isaiah · 14/06/2017 at 19:54

sUP guys, Who do you view as looking like the top 6 forwards for the rest of the year?

    BoiToi · 14/06/2017 at 20:20

Macrae, Yeo, Dahl, Heeney, Buddy, Nank

      Defying_Madness · 14/06/2017 at 20:44

That's my exact forward right now, hoping you are right

HarryO · 14/06/2017 at 19:57

Who Do i want as my final midfielder… Jelwood or dusty??

    Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 20:19

Jelwood, Dusty still goes missing occasionally.

    boner contention · 14/06/2017 at 20:20

    BoiToi · 14/06/2017 at 20:31

Tough one, Really tough. Flip a coin I guess.

    SheepLuvva · 14/06/2017 at 21:49

When did Dusty get back from NZ? He was in Tauranga yesterday and his old man has a huge party planned for this weekend.

      Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 21:53

It's Wednesday, he's not playing until Saturday. I doubt he'll be at his old man's party.

TOPHAWK1 · 14/06/2017 at 20:03

Jelwood or Gary Ablett this week? I can afford both.
I want the 'Doubledangerwood" Trifecta, however Gazza as a POD in an improving Gold Coast side is very tempting!

"AblettDangerWood" any one?

    BoiToi · 14/06/2017 at 20:10

I'm leaning towards Jelwood just because he is at less risk of an injury. Gazza will probably end up missing another game or two for the remainder of the season.

      Top Gun · 14/06/2017 at 20:20

He gets injured; he just stays on the field. Lol

    HarryO · 14/06/2017 at 20:10

Not sure if you watched GC on the w/e tophawk but gazza copped a shove front on from a hawk and was grabbing his shoulder n wincing as though he was in some real discomfort… that worries me seeing that sorta stuff. still pumped out a big score but the shove was late in the match!

    hedski · 14/06/2017 at 20:12

DangerDoubleWoodLet will look good at the cats next year TH.
Jelwood over Ablett for mine just cos of durability.

    Ja191 · 14/06/2017 at 21:04

    Dablettwood :O

Relton · 14/06/2017 at 20:26

is it too early to cut parsons to maybe a callum brown?? he's only made 80k and still a BE of 19.. but trading him down now will allow me to go Butler > Heeney/macrae…. hmmm

    Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 20:39

Maybe not, Parsons probably won't go up much more than this, with his poxy scores, unless he miraculously starts pumping out 80+, I'd go MacRae before Heeney too.

      Relton · 14/06/2017 at 20:46

What's your thoughts on browns JS russty? He'd be my bench along with B.Eddy. if brown gets dropped i wont have a fwd cover then is all. atleast parsons is playing for now anyway

        Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 20:58

True Relton, Parson's playing and not sure on Brown's JS, Wells is 3 to 4 weeks away and Elliott they're not saying yet for some reason but Reid and Varcoe could also return after the bye, Brown could go out if Elliott or Varcoe comes back in next week. I have him too.
Can you wait cause Brown isn't playing…not sure if Butler is playing either.

Relton · 14/06/2017 at 20:43

Callum Browns JS post bye??

    SF4 · 14/06/2017 at 21:32

Pretty good. Bucks rates him highly and injuries should keep him in the side for a while.

Top Gun · 14/06/2017 at 21:09

Pity Wylie Buzza didn't get a game for the Cats, named emerg. Love to hear BT scream Buzzzzzzaaaaaa!

garfield_da_cat · 14/06/2017 at 22:31

Am i stupid for trading out Fyfe and trading in Oliver or Cotchen?

    nankthetank · 15/06/2017 at 08:40

If you trade in Cotch then yes

Sam_01 · 14/06/2017 at 22:34

Lads bit of help with the upgrades
Fyffe –> Bont
Have to wait for greenwood to hit about 350k before going to gawn or macrae via nank
Fyffe –> Parker
Greenwood to gawn or macrae and I get to pull the trigger a week or two early via nank

    Russty_ · 14/06/2017 at 22:57

I think you're jumping the gun Sam, on all counts, unless you're in the top 100, I'd say don't do anything until you see how Fyfe goes next week.

Dean · 14/06/2017 at 22:56

Now that it's confirmed Ed Vickers Willis is out until round 19 to 21 with a PLC injury, there is no way I can field 18 players, even if I made the 3 trades.

I was hoping to go Hampton to Roberton, Fyfe to Scooter & either EVW to Lloyd or Sandilands to Kreuzer

These are my 14 players for R13 providing they all are named.
DEF: Docherty, Hiberd, Stewart
MID: Danger, Bont, Barrett, (Bolton if selected)
RUCK: Martin
FWD: Yeo, Macrae, Nank, Dahlhaus, Franklin, Heeney

Not sure if I should still go BANG, BANG BANG, or just hold trades. These bloody bye rounds.

nankthetank · 15/06/2017 at 08:35

Thoughts on getting Yeo in over Macrae?

mmmbutch · 15/06/2017 at 10:53

Pulled the trigger on Steele this week, I was really hoping I could keep him as an F7 at the very least but there just ins't enough cash generation this year and it would've delayed full-premo by a few weeks. Plus I probably burnt a few too many trades in the first few weeks. I should be set by R15 I think. I really want to hold Fyfe and Sandi, it'll be luxury trades after if they go.

Def: Laird, Docherty, Adams, Rance, Shaw, Newman (Scharenberg, T.Stewart)
Mid: Sloane, Danger, Pendles, Jelwood, Bont, Hanners, Beams, Fyfe (C.Brown, Cousins, Barrett)
Rucks: Martin, Sandi (Strn)
Fwd: Macrae, Dahl, T.Lynch, Heeney, Nank, Greenwood (Bolton, Parsons)

9 Trades left. $60k in the kitty. Only trades this week were Steele to Macrae and Myers to Brown (needed some cash generation and need to use 2 trades next week to setup)

Probably going to go Newman & Stewart to Lloyd and Ryan next week and then Greenwood to fwd premo, maybe JJK or Franklin the week after.

That’ll leave 6 trades for the run home and a decision on Sandi & Fyfe.

Don't Blush Baby · 15/06/2017 at 11:50

With the rumour that Steele will be out ,I'm going ;
Out – Steele,Hannan
In – Heeney,Macrae
Leave me 90k to go next week;
Out – SPP via Berry
In – LLoyd

randomcliche · 15/06/2017 at 13:10

Off one game……whoa

Marauderrr · 15/06/2017 at 13:12

Do i downgrade Preuss $262,700 to Tim English for some extra cash? Or should i just leave him?

Blake · 15/06/2017 at 14:45

Fyfe>Ryan via Adams as dpp

lachie · 15/06/2017 at 17:03

SPP to Scott selwood or no?

wightyyswarriors · 15/06/2017 at 17:08

I have Doc, but I reckon he gets 20 pts a game from kicking to himself at kick ins….I reckon pts don't count till the player bringing the ball in has disposed of the ball….thoughts ?

    lachie · 15/06/2017 at 18:05

mate Docherty is a gun.. he'll get 100 no matter what rule change takes place.

matthewspangher · 15/06/2017 at 19:59

plenty of trades left, thinking M.crouch>bont or Fyfe> bont, or will crouch and fyfe finish stronger than bont? cheers community

Whitey · 15/06/2017 at 20:19

    Russty_ · 15/06/2017 at 23:56

Yep, after the 1st game starts…remember for next year. 🙂

KrazeeEyezK1lla · 15/06/2017 at 20:41
