AFL-SuperCoach-Cheat-Sheet

G’day Community, it’s time to face the coming byes.

I think we finally have some decent rookies emerging in Greenwood, Stewart, Lloyd, Bolton, McInnes etc. so rejoice while you can.

I haven’t included any of the obvious buy-in options who have featured in the Cheat Sheet previously (Selwood, Dangerfield, Rance, Hibberd etc.) but I have included some delicious P.O.D’s.

Hit up my Twitter to see how last week’s Cheat Sheet did and make sure to chat with me in the comments with questions.

Option 1: Trade in Soldo for Preuss and keen Nank in the Fwd (Sandi Bench)
Option 2: Trade in Strnadica for Preuss, swing Nank in the Rucks, Taranto fwd (Sandi Bench).
Option 3: Donut in the rucks and get Mccinnes for stewart instead.

Cheers

    hedski · 24/05/2017 at 20:58

    Option 2 Stinga

Temet Nosce · 24/05/2017 at 19:04

Sandi out, replacement???

    SC_Kev7 · 24/05/2017 at 19:16

Stef if money is no issue

Liam Jones · 24/05/2017 at 19:13

WHE to Goldy, Ryder or Grundy?

    Stinga · 24/05/2017 at 19:17

Goldy, he in some great form

    pod · 25/05/2017 at 08:04

Ryder DPP then Goldy, forget Grundy.

INPieman · 24/05/2017 at 19:21

The week to get Walters was last week Lek. This is Ross your dealing with here. He could so easily get thrown back to a small forward role & turn into Matera 2.0

    leedy · 24/05/2017 at 23:14

Yep, sat him on the bench for the first 8 minutes last week. Ross playing mind games, again! He is in a rich vein of form though.

    LEKD0G · 25/05/2017 at 00:33

Oh yeah, last week was ideal but no way I was putting him in the sheet. Admittedly I haven't thought about how Sandilands will affect him

Benny · 24/05/2017 at 19:22

Jelwood mid or Macrae fwd? (Covered for byes)

    Kyle · 24/05/2017 at 19:58

Selwood for mine. Depends who you are upgrading tho. If its someone like parsons to macrae id do that. Beed to look what trade will get you more points. If its similar, definately selwood

      Benny · 24/05/2017 at 20:08

Balic to Macrae and Fisher to Selwood

        Wedge · 24/05/2017 at 20:50

Fisher has a low b/e. Has money to make. Not sure if balic ever coming back.

          Benny · 24/05/2017 at 21:03

          yeah , true wedge

        Kyle · 24/05/2017 at 21:10

Agree with wedge. Fisher has cash to make. Balic isnt playing. Look at selwood next week tho

    Cogla13 · 25/05/2017 at 12:11

Wouldn't be trading in Macrae the week before his bye.

Big fact hunt · 24/05/2017 at 19:31

Jelwood will score more but you need to look at where you are leaking the most points before you decide. Also need to look at which fattened lamb you are slautering for the trade

Rough · 24/05/2017 at 19:35

Anyone have any info on Houston? Played the first 7 games of the season. Sat out the Shanghai game, bye last week, named as an emergency this week. If he was only being rested I would imagine 2 weeks would be enough. Does the fact he isn't playing this week mean he is going to be an inconsistent inclusion for the rest of the season, making it time to sell?

    INPieman · 24/05/2017 at 19:49

Port has stuff all injuries. Just a victim of circumstances. Get rid of him

    Danners · 24/05/2017 at 21:42

Not sure whats going on with Houston as well, I have him and I would it is time to wield the axe

neil demonsdelight · 24/05/2017 at 19:39

Ryder for Sandi looks good but could be a waste of a trade may just hold him bloody ross

    INPieman · 24/05/2017 at 19:58

Hamstring tightness on Wednesday. No good to play on the weekend. Turn it up. That's the classic Ross rest or disguised "managed". Home next week to Pies, then away to Brissy & then the bye. Every season he has his say with your team

      Don't Blush Baby · 24/05/2017 at 20:43

Ha , correct , my thoughts exactly

      Choppers · 24/05/2017 at 22:41

Not sure I'm correct here, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that if a player is listed out as being "managed", then he can't be brought back into the team under any circumstances, but if he's listed as "omitted' which would include an imaginary injury I suspect, then he may be brought back into the team if necessary.
I'll hold Sandi at this stage.

    Danners · 24/05/2017 at 21:41

Knowing Ross he'll probably be out next week, but hold

    Goat · 24/05/2017 at 22:06

I'm doing it. Santi is not making me any money. I'll save the trade later with the DPP. Also Jones to Loyd – thoughts (more DPP fun).

DavidSA · 24/05/2017 at 19:42

Ah the magic of removing lowest scores

    LEKD0G · 25/05/2017 at 00:38

Did you know that if you exclude every game from Zac Dawson's career except for Round 13 2009 he averaged 105 supercoach points over 11 years

      Russty_ · 25/05/2017 at 01:07

Maybe that was pre drug testing days and he accidentally snorted some angel dust or something?…hahah

Jigglyblues · 24/05/2017 at 19:42

Rance, Howe, Adams, Hurley or Harbrow? All of the aforementioned players fit bye structure.

    Jigglyblues · 24/05/2017 at 19:44

Or Hibberd who doesn't suit bye structure but is the cheapest

      Kyle · 24/05/2017 at 19:50

Howe is looking good and bottomed out. Im jumping on him this week

        Kyle · 24/05/2017 at 19:52

Sorry didnt see adams haha he is a must have down back this year it seems

      INPieman · 24/05/2017 at 19:52

Adams & if your not sure think about it & pick Adams

        Jigglyblues · 24/05/2017 at 20:00

Haha alright. Looks like I'll have the 3 great powers Laird, Doc and Adams!

    Finnius123 · 24/05/2017 at 19:49

Adams, Hurley, Howe, Rance, Harbrow. In that order.

      lok · 24/05/2017 at 20:03

      no.

    lok · 24/05/2017 at 20:02

    Rance

    DefyingMadness · 24/05/2017 at 20:05

Hurley will struggle for top 10 imo

Pom · 24/05/2017 at 19:47

Who scores more from here….Rance or Lloyd?

    SF4 · 24/05/2017 at 21:03

Lloyd is more consistent so I would say he would score more than rance from here on

    Danners · 24/05/2017 at 21:40

Lloyd, he's a midfielder which increases his chances of getting a good score

    pod · 25/05/2017 at 08:07

Rance is proven over the journey.

Eric_the_Red · 24/05/2017 at 19:52

Trade Sandi or just cop the donut? I have marchbank and prior to sandi going down he was my priority to trade. Stumped now.

    Rick Grimes · 24/05/2017 at 19:58

Marchbank probably won't get his be, but if he scores his average you're looking at only an $8k price drop, it thereabouts. He needs to go but can wait a week.

    Juzzy · 24/05/2017 at 20:12

I have cover for Sandi Eric but am still trading.

Like yourself Marchbank was my priority trade this week but he can stay now. Depending on team sheets it may be a blessing in disguise. Not sold on the JS of McInnes and we may get a look at some new def rookies this week.

Slipper · 24/05/2017 at 19:55

Is Pedderson a no go zone ?
Seems to be cheap for his average ????

    lok · 24/05/2017 at 20:04

    no go

    the barrell · 24/05/2017 at 21:34

As soon as gawn comes back his scoring and job security will drop significantly

    Danners · 24/05/2017 at 21:40

Hearing rumors big Maxy could be back around the byes so yes he is a no go zone

      Derek · 24/05/2017 at 23:27

Round 12 Spenser could be back and Max round 13

    Russty_ · 24/05/2017 at 23:47

If you'd picked him up 71 K ago, yes, not now for reasons mentioned, I brought him in to make some quick cash and then move on, that's worked out well so far luckily for me.

      Tibor · 25/05/2017 at 09:33

Spot on, while in current role he is a nice little earner, if you get him it better be quick, still might make a dollar

    Slipper · 25/05/2017 at 07:10

    Thanks All

    pod · 25/05/2017 at 08:29

Playing career best form but when the big fellas return who knows? Could be a good fwd pod.

Juzzy · 24/05/2017 at 20:06

Bugger you Sandi. We only needed a few more weeks out of you before your bye.

If it was any other top-tier ruck I would hold. As it is Sandi I think I will put all other plans on the back burner and trade him.
I just can't put myself through Ross announcing next week that "he just hasn't come up" or "we may rest him until after the bye".

Already holding Rocky. Refuse to deal with any more injury prone guys sitting on the bench.

Good luck to all that hold him as now I have said that he will probably be back next week and score 200.

    Russty_ · 24/05/2017 at 22:37

Understandable Juzzy, I traded him, for Goldy, who will rise in price more next week and probably keep rising.
Was gonna go Marchbank to Rance but that can wait for me. There won't be a better time to pick up Goldy than now…except for last week I guess haha

      Juzzy · 25/05/2017 at 00:50

      Yeah Russty.

The Marchbank timing is unfortunate but I hope he doesn't bleed too much cash this week.

Still tossing up between Goldy and Ryder. I don't have to explain the relative upside of either to you.

      Good luck Mate.

        Russty_ · 25/05/2017 at 01:01

You too bud, I'd actually love to have a swinging ruck situation, and Ryder has the no byes upside, but I'm thinking about a ruck I want to keep, and Ryder ain't that for me.

      Claudia · 25/05/2017 at 14:03

Same thoughts Russty, have Rocky on bench don't want three weeks with both of them on bench.

    SCaddict · 25/05/2017 at 14:11

Unfortunately Juzzy it's pushing a lot of coaches towards Goldy and Ryder this week, who may not really want them, but don't want their ranking to suffer by holding on to Sandi this week … with no guarantee he will re-emerge next week either.

TBone · 24/05/2017 at 20:09

Team as of now is

Laird, Lloyd, Rance, Shaw, Marchbank, Newman (Stewart, Hibberd)

Danger, Pendles, JPK, Fyfe, Treloar, Wines, SPP, Barrett (Berry, Fisher, Myers)

Grundy, Sandi (Strnadica)

Dahl, Macrae, Nank, Petracca, Butler, Bowes (Parsons, Eddy)

Going to hold SPP and Bowes through the byes for warm bodies.

20 trades left and 260k in the kitty. Any ideas as to what trades i should do? Thinking Butler to Greenwood, or could wait and do that next week seeing as Parsons was named to play. Cheers guys!

    INPieman · 24/05/2017 at 20:45

Out: Butler & Bowes In: Ryder & Greenwood

      TBone · 25/05/2017 at 10:51

Thanks Pieman. Good shout. If Butler is named for this week I might hold Butler till his bye and upgrade him straight to JJK. But Bowes to Greenwood for sure and maybe Marchbank up to Doc?

    Wazzi A'Crim · 25/05/2017 at 13:55

Hey Tbone an obvious one for me…Barrett to Dusty.
Greenwood for sure if you want to cash up again as well..perhaps even dump Eddy for him

jez_m · 24/05/2017 at 20:16

Ryder or Goldy in for Sandilands? I like the fact Ryder will play all the way through the byes, but Goldy is also bye-friendly and is probably more likely to end up as a top 3 or 4 ruck over Ryder. Thoughts?

    Juzzy · 24/05/2017 at 20:28

    Hi Jez.

I'm liking Ryder at the moment for two reasons. In form lone wolf, and if his form continues you can swing him into the fwd line. Potentially gives you the option, later in the year, to choose from guys like Riewoldt Wingard or Goldstien Martin.

      Keenbutclueless · 24/05/2017 at 21:18

Ryder is also appealing. I am thinking that Gawn comes back round 12 and will need two games, and his price will be around 500k. Which means moving Ryder into the forward line. Already have Nank, so it will really be whether I straight swap one of them to Gawn, or back both Ryder and Nank to be worth keeping on the forward line. I don't think I will ever have the luxury of a premium forward line and run one of these guys as F7/R3/M9.
I feel like a lot of cognitive bias at play here. A lot of negative sentiment about Ryder because despite having all the tools and showing us periods of excellence, he rarely puts it together over the longer term. Nank is unproven, yet that is a virtue because he hasn't burned us, so we assume he will keep it going.
It's a ponderous one. Need to decide if the ultimate goal is to get Gawn in round 14, whether getting Ryder now helps or hinders that goal. Leaning towards "help", but not firmly by any stretch

        Derek · 24/05/2017 at 23:30

Is Ryder competing with Lobbe for the #1 ruck spot at Port? Should we be worried?

          Randomcliche2 · 24/05/2017 at 23:43

I think he put paid to that discussion rnd 3 jlt…so no, he ain't competing, for me.

          Russty_ · 24/05/2017 at 23:43

Doubt it mate, he hasn't even played a game this year, Trengove can always back him up in the ruck.

            Derek · 25/05/2017 at 09:03

Thanks, I was thinking Lobbe might force his way back in and then push towards being a top 2 ruck for the rest of the year. I'm glad we agree that won't happen

    Russty_ · 24/05/2017 at 22:42

Hi jez, Ryder's only tonned up 2 out of 7 games, I was gonna go him but then remembered what he's been like in the past ,unreliable and sometimes lazy.

Decided on the Ruck beast, Goldmember instead, he's already proven he can go huge on a regular basis.

      jez_m · 25/05/2017 at 12:14

I'm more sold on Goldy than Ryder as well Rusty. North play Carlton, Richmond, St Kilda, Gold Coast in their next four games, so he could really get on a roll.

Magpie Dentist · 24/05/2017 at 20:16

My season's over but want to remain somewhat competitive in my leagues

Laird, Simmo, Shaw, Marchbank, Newman, Hampton (Stewart, Williamson)
Danger, Dusty, Titch, Fyfe, Hanners, Treloar, Bont, Barrett (SPP, Balic, Hibberd)
Grundy, Sandilands (Strnadica)
Dahlhaus, Macrae, Lynch, Higgins, Nank, Hardwick (Eddy, Parsons)

$7,500 in the bank, 20 trades

    hedski · 24/05/2017 at 21:07

I'd be looking for a new job, surely your sick of pulling teeth..
Sry , maybe double down Hampton and Balic to Lloyd/Greenwood and McInnes/Ryan?? Or some such.

    Wazzi A'Crim · 25/05/2017 at 13:49

C'mon Magpie Dentist start sniffing the good stuff

    1. Hampton and Balic out, Greenwood and Scooter in.
Hibberd back. or trade him over Balic.
    or
    2. Hampton and Powell-Pepper out, Greenwood and Harbrow / Hibberd / Tuohy / Williams / Montagna / JJ in
    Whichever suits your byes really.

Dont forget that Nank / Strna shuffle thing too

'ruck'ing horrible · 24/05/2017 at 20:37

Who to pick up, Grundy, Goldy or Stef?

One of Goldy or Stef should score the most out of the rucks from this this point, i'd back in Goldy if not for injuries. Grundy seems like the cheap, value for money option. Slightly worried that Fagan will give Archie Smith a run towards the end of the year, whereas Preuss seems likely to play only when North get injuries. Bucks would be crazy to play Mason Cox from a pure football perspective.

    whatyasmokin · 24/05/2017 at 21:21

    Goldy.

    jez_m · 25/05/2017 at 12:23

I'd probably have Goldy in front at this stage. I reckon he can come home with a wet sail.

Winter · 24/05/2017 at 20:41

Current defenders: Laird, Adams, Simpson, Shaw, Marchbank, Newman (Berry, Stewart)

After downgrading WHE to McInnes I've got enough to go Marchbank to Docherty who I feel is a must have.

Or should I save 100k and go with Rance?

    Eric_the_Red · 24/05/2017 at 20:45

    Definitely the Doch

    JohndJames · 24/05/2017 at 21:01

I have otten and McGrath in defence who look like they've fattened up enough also have Stewart who looks ready to go what should I do? Is McGrath to McInnes and otten to laird a good move?

Cheers in advance

    Iamme · 24/05/2017 at 21:33

Otten to Laird is a great choice as he's very consistent, however McInnes job security is questionable imo? If you are after cash generation maybe pick up a non playing cheap option like McNiece or O'çonner as they can be used as loopholes.

      Cogla13 · 25/05/2017 at 13:45

Plenty of loopholes during the byes. Wait for teams to be announced. Maybe a Sharenberg or a Ryan might be ins.

Jordan · 24/05/2017 at 21:03

Is parsons to greenwood this week or next a waste of a trade

    Danners · 24/05/2017 at 21:38

Parsons will make cash this week, Greenwood won't . So wait

    Vicki · 24/05/2017 at 21:51

    I agree with Danners

    Finnius123 · 24/05/2017 at 21:53

There is genuinely no point in this

      Jill · 24/05/2017 at 21:54

Because of sandis out I have to field parsons

        Randomcliche2 · 24/05/2017 at 23:47

Just be happy he is playing 😛 I am!

    pod · 25/05/2017 at 08:05

Parsons has some good games in him, have faith. Greenwood next week.

    SF4 · 25/05/2017 at 13:01

Yep, Parsons BE is 15, he should make it until hes bye atleast

Rivo · 24/05/2017 at 21:10

Sandi out and donuts reappear. Houston emergency and fielding Parsons – certainly makes me nervous.

So, if I put Sandi to the bench and swing Nank to R2, Strnadica and Eddy sit on the Fwd bench.

To get the premo upgrade I'm looking at Marchbank & Houston to Adams & McInnes (who goes to F5).

Defence then becomes…

Doc, Laird, Adams, Simpson, Shaw, EVW (Stewart, Hampton).

Forwards looking shaky for this round:

Dahl, Buddy, Heeney, Parsons, McInnes, Greenwood (Strnadica, Eddy).

Worth the trades or something different??

    Dylan · 25/05/2017 at 01:40

I like the trades you proposed, the backline is always the hardest to get done. Proven premos like Riewoldt and possibly Yeo will drop in price soon for good forward upgrades

      Rivo · 25/05/2017 at 06:12

Thanks Dylan. The other option is to go premo up forward and go:

Marchbank & Houston to Macrae & McInnes (D6/7). Beefs up the forwards set up and seems more balanced. Macrae slightly lower avg but very relatable.

Stanks21 · 24/05/2017 at 21:25

Hi Guys,

Stiil struggling to figure out what to do this week, any suggestions are welcome 🙂

Laird, Adams, Tuohy (VW)
Roberton, Shaw, Hibberd,(Stewart)

Pendlebury, Oliver, Kennedy
Zorko, Yeo, Fyfe, Barrett
Greenwood
(PP, Fisher, Hibberd)

Martin, Nankervis (Strnadica)

Dalhaus, Franklin, Greene
Steele, Burton, Hayward

(Parsons, Eddy)

Thinking of getting Martin or Danger in??

But am not sure.

    Vicki · 24/05/2017 at 21:50

    Danger

      Stanks21 · 24/05/2017 at 21:52

What rookie to bring in though and who to trade out?? I will ditch PP but who should I cull for money

        Russty_ · 24/05/2017 at 23:13

You could ditch Eddy for Daniel lloyd via Greenwood dpp to the fwd line then put Parsons or Lloyd onfield…and Greenwood on for Hayward..bench.

          Stanks21 · 25/05/2017 at 00:15

Ditched parsons and subbed yeo back fwd. Brought in Lloyd and then traded PP for Dusty. Play barrett and greenwood on field in mid. Gives me VW, Stewart and Barrett to ditch for money and upgrades with 14 trades left

Is it time to trade out Matt Crouch?
If trade who should I bring in Z. Merrett, Dusty or Joel Selwood.
All can work for bye rounds.
Thank you for your help.

Merrett, but if you don't have Mitch,Hanners,Pendles or Bont I would go with one of them first.

    Leeds17 · 25/05/2017 at 06:14

Crouch is you're only badly under-performing Mid I'd hold at least till his bye.

    pod · 25/05/2017 at 06:30

Close call between Jelwood and Zerrett

    Cogla13 · 25/05/2017 at 13:50

If you are going to trade do it at his bye round. Then you get one extra premium score for the bye rounds.

Finnius123 · 24/05/2017 at 21:52

Goldy or Ryder?

    Vicki · 24/05/2017 at 21:54

I went Ryder due to DPP and that he already has had the bye

    Russty_ · 24/05/2017 at 22:46

    Goldy for me.

    LEKD0G · 25/05/2017 at 00:43

    Goldy

      Finnius123 · 25/05/2017 at 08:12

Cheers Lek – I thought so as well. More proven and with Nank cover I am alright with him missing a game here or there.

    pod · 25/05/2017 at 08:03

Ryder DPP better option, also had his bye.

      Finnius123 · 25/05/2017 at 08:29

RD 12 bye doesn't matter, and as I have Nank DPP is irrelevant. I just want the person who is going to score more points for the rest of the year.

Alex · 24/05/2017 at 22:05

Tom Stewart or Tom Williamson one has to go unfortunately! Jane a lot of Rd 11 bye outages however I feel Stewart is more ripe?

    Alex · 24/05/2017 at 22:05

That's 'I have a lot of Rd 11' by the way.

    Choppers · 24/05/2017 at 22:46

    Williamson

    Blo · 25/05/2017 at 07:41

I think Williamson's JS is better. Ruggles is waiting in the wings and I think will soon play.

Jigglyblues · 24/05/2017 at 22:07

Nick Riewoldt will be rested this week because of knee
Source:Barrett on the footy show

    Randomcliche2 · 24/05/2017 at 23:51

Rest into bye, prolly for the best….s.t. having rookie cover for him (and Sandi) this week….

    pod · 25/05/2017 at 08:04

NRoo after his bye will be very tempting.

    hedski · 25/05/2017 at 08:16

    Shit, reverse trades again.

SCNoob · 24/05/2017 at 22:22

Weighing up whether I can get away with saving trades this week. My only concern is lack of playing rookies on the bench (Eddy, Pickett, Balic, etc.) Urgent to fix them up? Or save trades for possible future injuries? What should my priority be?

DEF: Docherty, Laird, Lloyd, Shaw, Marchbank, Newman (Stewart, McNeice)

MID: T Mitchell, Dangerfield, Pendlebury, JP Kennedy, Fyfe, Gaff, Treloar, Myers (Barrett, Fisher, Balic)

RUC: Sandilands, Grundy (Preuss)

FWD: Yeo, Macrae, Dahlhaus, Nankervis, Taranto, Parsons (Pickett, Eddy)

$102,200 in the bank and 18 trades left.

    Russty_ · 24/05/2017 at 22:51

Depends on whether you want to avoid a big 0 this week, Sandi isn't playing, you could save a doughnut and make some money by trading out Preuss to Strndica or Cameron and Pickett or Balic or Eddy out to Greenwood to cover after you swing Nank into the Ruck.

    Wazzi A'Crim · 25/05/2017 at 14:11

    Hey ScNoob

Perhaps look at Preuss to Strna for the shuffle
    Then do Barrett to Dusty.

Next week do the Balic to Greenwood cash grab

Drop Bears · 24/05/2017 at 22:55

Marchbank to J Lloyd and Sandi up to Goldy? $140k left over, but only 15 trades…

I think I can get away with that with only five more rookies to upgrade…

If so… I think I might have managed to actually get this team into order at last! 🙂

    Russty_ · 24/05/2017 at 23:26

Sounds good to me Drop Bears, if you're happy with your team then, try not to trade for 2 or 3 weeks after that.

      Drop Bears · 25/05/2017 at 07:44

Yeah, the plan is to just pick one a week through the byes if and as I need them as a rookie or two look to fill their account. It's all a great plan until the unexpected happens, eh? 🙂

    pod · 25/05/2017 at 08:13

You could hold Sandi but he has a history of being 'managed'. Can't go wrong with those trades if you do it.

Nado · 24/05/2017 at 22:59

Goldy, Mummy or Martin?

    LEKD0G · 25/05/2017 at 00:44

    Martin

    SF4 · 25/05/2017 at 13:00

    Stef

    ProTravo · 25/05/2017 at 13:13

Probably Martin, though I brought in Mummy and he has a knack of somehow pumping out good scores from doing sweet FA.

      Nado · 25/05/2017 at 14:19

Hmm less ownership on Mummy too, very tempting

50 Shades of Gravy · 24/05/2017 at 23:37

can anyone see Robbie Gray spending the rest of the year in the mids if he carves it up in Wingard's absence over the next 1-2 weeks? could be worth the punt at his current price, especially for coaches who've fallen behind the pack (like me) and need a real POD – whilst it's worked out pretty well for Port having him mostly up fwd this year, is it possible they were just nursing him through his injury which Hinkley says he's now clear of? thoughts anyone?

    Russty_ · 24/05/2017 at 23:56

If you've fallen behind the pack, I think you need to make some reliable choices, there are plenty of them at the moment in the mids. pods aren't necessary if you're lagging behind.
Choosing him now could maybe make things worse for you if he doesn't miraculously come into a rich vein of form.

    Juzzy · 25/05/2017 at 00:44

With all respect to Russty PODs are exactly what you need if you are falling behind.

Agree with Russ that he would want to turn his form around pretty quick but you won't catch up trading in the same players as everyone else.

Of course depends if you are going for overall or leagues.

      Russty_ · 25/05/2017 at 00:54

Yeah Juzzy, I was just assuming he was playing for leagues as his season could already be a write off 🙂

josh1010101 · 25/05/2017 at 01:08

Which midfield premium should i bring in this week neale (spending all cash), dusty or sloane or Pentlebury (Having grundy, adams, treloar)?

    Russty_ · 25/05/2017 at 01:13

I think Pendles could be a good pickup this week josh, might only go up in price from here, Dusty also, if you want to save a bit more coin.

    Randomcliche2 · 25/05/2017 at 10:44

I own pendles and buying Dusty this week. Although, Neale has been the most reliable of all of them. If you're like me though, you'll be very short cash and fat rookies if you spend $650k on premos. Assume you have Danger and JPK (awkward bye) who are great value this week. In terms of v4m Danger, Pendles, JPK, Dusty, Neale, Sloane (BE too high, tag issue not fully resolved yet).

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 25/05/2017 at 13:14

All except dusty are Rd 13 bye.
How does that fit with the rest of your team?

Mitch · 25/05/2017 at 01:09

hey guys
this week im considering:
OUT: Pruess and Balic IN: Stef Martin and James Stewart
this is done with an eye on upgrading marchbank, stewart, TT, SPP or Balic next week to Doch/Adams & Greenwood
I dont think i have the luxury of just upgrading Sandi given my structure :/

my team before trades
DEF: Laird, Lloyd, Shaw, Hibberd, Marchbank, Newman (Stewart, Berry)
MID: Danger, Pendles, Bont, Titchell, JPK, Fyfe, Treloar, Barrett (SPP, Fisher, Myers)
RUC: Nank, Sandi (pruess)
FWD: Macrae, Dahl, JJK, Higgins, Taranto, Parsons. (Balic, Eddy)

20 trades left and 226k in the bank.
any suggestions appreciated
Cheers

    Russty_ · 25/05/2017 at 01:36

So, you're saying you're gonna trade Preuss for Martin and leave Sandi on the bench?….then what do you do with Sandi next week if he's ok? Cause you won't have a ruck swing for Nank into the fwds..or are you planning on trading Sandi out even if he's ok next week?
Maybe you could save the Stewart trade by just going Sandi to Martin and Balic to Greenwood and forget about Stewart..and use Preuss's money when you really need it.
Dunno, a bit confused here lol

      Mitchell Fox · 25/05/2017 at 12:10

When Sandi gets back I'd probably swing nank fwd for say TT Balic or Eddy and bring in the cheap fwd/ruck from freo (strndicker?)
Just not sure if trading out Sandi is the best idea as I plan on having nank in my fwd by years end

      Cogla13 · 25/05/2017 at 14:13

He'll have 3 different bye rucks so that will work. Have to swing Nank forward or trade Sandi after the last bye.

    Randomcliche2 · 25/05/2017 at 10:55

I'm running 3 rucks Nank, Sandi, Witts with no R/F FD this week as well. You can just bring in a say Sterndick next week for Eddy, or whenever Sandi gets up. Good moves. You have plenty of trades, use them Ant. You could also go Balic to McInnes, opening up one degree of freedom into defense if you need to cash out multiple def rookies and there aren't enough def rookies available. Alternatively consider Marchy to McInnes (one of my trades this week) to stop the cash bleed. Only Stewart with rnd 12 bye in Def. Just don't rely on McInnes to be there rnd 13, have some extra cover, a bit risky…. Cheers

Russty_ · 25/05/2017 at 01:10

Will Ivan Solvol get a game this week?

    Ja191 · 25/05/2017 at 06:48

    I'd assume not but it's dimma..selects like a nut

DefyingMadness · 25/05/2017 at 01:29

Hibberd or Harbrow

    SCaddict · 25/05/2017 at 12:38

If Hibbo's round 11 bye doesn't bother you too much I'd go that way. Does look tremendous value although there is that spectre of soft tissues.

Harbrow looks good value too and has that bye bonus. He's batting at nearly 25ppg higher than last season so the only query is whether he can sustain that level of output for the rest of the season.

      DefyingMadness · 25/05/2017 at 12:43

Yeah the bye is no problem my 11 bye is the same as round 12

        SCaddict · 25/05/2017 at 12:58

I should declare some bias as I brought in Hibbo for Jones last week. I'm seriously considering Harbrow as well although waiting for team sheets first in case some other nasties get thrown at us to redirect my trade priorities.

Northerner · 25/05/2017 at 04:12

There's a nice potential forward premium upgrade on the horizon in Rd 12 with Mitch Wallis on the bubble after his Rd 11 bye. His issue will be injury risk but if you include his games in the seconds he's had a very strong block of form. And we are down on genuine midfielders in our forwards this year. Watchlist this week and I'm guessing he'll be locked in my trade button calendar.

    Leeds17 · 25/05/2017 at 06:04

I like him but you're not concerned that on top of the injury risk he's never been a premium?

    neil Demons Delight · 25/05/2017 at 08:23

had him last year, goes big plenty of handballs but like Oliver Data love him Presents value I am taking him instead of pendles..

Morphin Time · 25/05/2017 at 06:01

THOUGHTS COMMUNITY.

Looking to go parfitt > merrett (been hanging to upgrade parfitt) &
Pickett > McGinnes (that will mean i will have to hold both marchbank & otten this week to cover a donut in the fwd line)

Alby · 25/05/2017 at 06:28

Would moving Houston on for Greenwood be a bad idea I have to move The Nank into the ruck to avoid the Sandi donut I know Greenwood JS should be fine this week with a score 104 you would expect.

    Rivo · 25/05/2017 at 10:04

Alby, I went Greenwood last week, not likely to go as large this weekend, but he is a tackling machine should see reasonable scores. Wait to see if Houston is a late inclusion – he may still get a game. If not named, go
    for it.

Danger VC tonight everyone? Maybe Jelwood?

    Finnius123 · 25/05/2017 at 08:08

I am going Joel. Danger's average against Port is 96 with a high score of 140, whilst selwood's is 108 with a high score of 160. DOn't take my word for it though – I haven't got a VC right this year..

      pod · 25/05/2017 at 08:12

I've got a good feeling about Jelwood tonight. I think I needed someone else to give me the confidence. I will decide near game time. Cheers Finnius.

    jez_m · 25/05/2017 at 12:29

    Selwood's last three vs Port: 144, 89, 82

    Danger's last three vs Port: 137, 121, 119

    SF4 · 25/05/2017 at 12:59

I'm going Danger, seems as though he is back in form.

    SCaddict · 25/05/2017 at 13:40

As soon as lockout ended Sunday night the VC was transferred back to Danger in a flash after taking the misguided punt on the Bont last Friday. At one stage I thought Danger was set for a double ton so was sweating bullets. Thankfully it was "only" 150 and Pendles came through as C, so no real damage was done ranking wise, but it's not a mistake I'm keen to repeat.

neil Demons Delgght · 25/05/2017 at 08:18

If you get to real prem post byes expect to have only 6 -10 trades left. If you needed 9 at round 1 that's 18 gone plus 2 round 3 corrective 2 injury /suspension and 2-4 in bye rounds maybe more leaves you under 6. Trades are super important and maybe we should set our sights lower and keep a few back. Derek said part of his structure was to keep mc grath as he did last year with Motlop .These kind of players weill be vital particularly with few trades- duds replacement rookies and injuries .This will happen –

    Dice · 25/05/2017 at 09:24

Spot on Neil and this is the year for it!

    Moustachio · 25/05/2017 at 18:30

This is the year of no cash. Why would you take one of the few who made any money and not cull them to get at it?? Madness.

Alex · 25/05/2017 at 08:31

Need to start flicking some Rd 11 rookies to field a full 18. I feel Tom Williamson is the best fit out oh himself, Hannan, Newman, Berry, Barrett?

    Finnius123 · 25/05/2017 at 08:45

Williamson is maxed out. Lost cash last week and has a BE just above his 3 rd average

    pod · 25/05/2017 at 08:46

Choose between Williamson, Berry or Barrett. Keep Newman until you're full premo, then maybe upgrade him.

    jez_m · 25/05/2017 at 12:30

You'd be mad to get rid of Newman at this stage.

    Russty_ · 25/05/2017 at 15:12

Agree with Jez, Say, hello Newman, not goodbye, he could end up a keeper.

Ben · 25/05/2017 at 08:46

Got a bit of an issue this week. First trade is Sandi to Ryder, and will swing him forward round 12 and bring in Stef. But not sure what to do for my second trade. Got 240k and want to go Marchbank to Hibberd, but this means i will have 8 premos out round 11. It still is an even spread with 2 premos in def, 3 in mid and 3 in fwd, but might be too much. So should i:
Marchbank to Hibberd or marchbank/Hampton down to Mciness, (which allows me to go Parfitt up to Selwood next week
Thoughts are greatly appreciated

    Finnius123 · 25/05/2017 at 08:50

    Downgrade then bring in Joel

    Finnius123 · 25/05/2017 at 08:51

Get rid of hampton this week as injured

    Randomcliche2 · 25/05/2017 at 11:02

What really matters is how many playing rookies you have to support those 8 keepers. If you field a full 22 then okay, 21 touch and go. Because with that many rookies there will be some dud scores in there. 18/19, probably not okay. Assume going overall. If just leagues, go hard and tank further rnd 11.

      Ben · 25/05/2017 at 11:17

Well i'll currently have 19 players playing before trades next week. But should become 20-21 as ill most likely be trading out 3 of Marchbank, Eddy, Hannan and possible Barratt. Worth the trade or wait until after his bye? If i didn't trade him, not sure what i would do with Marchbank next week anyway

      Ted · 25/05/2017 at 11:18

Sorry, should be full 22, including 6-7 rookies

    jez_m · 25/05/2017 at 12:31

Could you go Marchbank to Rance instead?

    Randomcliche2 · 25/05/2017 at 13:15

Well, Ben/Ted sounds like if you've got a full 22 in rnd 11, then its okay to bring in rnd 11 premo, in fact given every non GCS/Port player will have a bye, its probably the best type of player to bring in! It doesn't help you to have the cash sitting on the bench when there are low BE's of players you want running around, regardless of whether they've had their bye. Oh, Marchy has to go for me, I need the cash, assume you do to!

Paul · 25/05/2017 at 08:55

Go early on Balic to Greenwood to avoid a donut this week?

    Goat · 25/05/2017 at 09:05

    I would.

Tim · 25/05/2017 at 09:13

Just a thought, Don't have the funds to go Parfitt to Jelwood. But i can do SPP to Jelwood. Should i pull the trigger or wait till next week to go Parfitt to Jelwood after a downgrade?

    TOPHAWK1 · 25/05/2017 at 09:35

Wait a week mate, or wait to get Jelwood until after his round 12 bye.

Ted · 25/05/2017 at 09:24

Which option
option 1: hampton and Sandi for Mciness and Ryder (leaves me with 360k
Option 2: SPP and Sandi for Jelwood and Ryder (leaves me with 14k)

    TOPHAWK1 · 25/05/2017 at 09:33

Option 1 by the length of the Sydney airport runway. No need to trade out SPP whatsoever at this stage.

    wightyswarriors · 25/05/2017 at 14:31

SPP has had the bye…def hold

TOPHAWK1 · 25/05/2017 at 09:26

I have Stefan Martin, Sandi, Nank and the Strad. As Nankervis has a bye in round 12, Goldy at this point is about as usefull as t-ts on a bull for me at the moment. (Also has a round 12 bye).

Enter PADDY RYDER….He has had his bye and is perfect for my ruck and forward line strategies over the next 4 weeks or so. Ross is going to rest Sandi till after the byes. I know that prick all to well. He has played 9 straight games and that herculian body of his needs a 4 week break to recover. Sandi OUT AND Ryder in. If butler is not named, I might have to go early on Greenwood to avoid a donut. If Butler is named then Marchbank turns into Rance. Pendles buddy, you are going to have to wait a bit longer before I can get you in. His BE of 105 means his price change should not be too dramatic in any case.
Welcome

    Tibor · 25/05/2017 at 11:04

Good call, just axed Sandi for Paddy. Probably got value for Sandi he was always a risk and never a 22 game prospect. The biggest risk is probably to ignore the early warning and hold on Sandi

    Derek · 25/05/2017 at 11:05

if sandi misses this week, he will only play 2 out of the next 4.

Ryder will play 4 out of the next 4.

Tibor · 25/05/2017 at 09:30

Lek dog please mate… if I ignore Jeremy Howes poor games his average goes up does it. I checked with a professor of mathematics and there is a big chance that will be a constant across most players. His average is what it is. Funnily enough it is also pretty consistent with every other season Jeremy plays, that is of course if I ignore the seasons where something different happens

    TOPHAWK1 · 25/05/2017 at 09:40

I agree 100% Tibor. Lek's reasoning is called "creative accounting". You can make any figures look better by massaging them. Don't do it LEK! Your credibility will be called into question. The average is just that, its the average.

    Randomcliche2 · 25/05/2017 at 11:04

    Make Supercoach Great Again!

    SCaddict · 25/05/2017 at 11:58

Indeed unless a player comes off early from a game with an injury you can't really pick and choose which scores you count and don't. Same goes when sometimes we say we are not going to count some massive score like NRoo against the Lions because he always scores well against them and was playing under the roof. A player's average is their average including both the lows and the highs.

    Finnius123 · 25/05/2017 at 12:16

He isn't saying that Howe has averaged 102 – simply that it is a better reflection for the future than what his current average of 93 says. It's pretty much to stop negative point chasing, in that people don't get turned away by a couple of bad scores. The same applies for people who go huge – it's just simply a warning to say that this won't happen every week.

    Moustachio · 25/05/2017 at 18:26

Last season after Howes role change to rebounder he averaged 100.

A premo and McInnes but who should the premo be?
Tossing up between Roberton and Lloyd but any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    FCAbel · 25/05/2017 at 13:04

Both good options. Lloyd for consistency, Roberton for a pod and chance to match it with the big 3. I prefer Roberton. I would wait till after bye if possible

Caroline · 25/05/2017 at 10:35

Hi there everyone. I have a dreadful side. I am in 4 comps and in the bottom half of all but one where I am 7th!!!! I am in year 8 and this is my second SC year & I thought I would do ok but I need help. I can do the captain's loophole without stuffing up (This year) but I can't get my head around the E loophole and the the last couple of weeks I have been following advice given to others about the E loophole but last week I messed it up (Again).
I have Stewart, Hibberd (Nth unfortunately) and Marchbank. If I put Hibberd on the ground who do I put the E on?
Also, with my mids and if Florent doesn't get selected again, do I put him on the ground and put the E on which player on my bench Berry or Greenwood and can I include Barrett and SPP who are on the field? So difficult.

    Derek · 25/05/2017 at 10:58

the most important thing about looping is the order that they play over the weekend.

The E needs to be on the player who is playing first. in your case it will be Stewart. Have Stewart on bench with E.

Once Stewart has played, if you like his score, you leave Hibberd on the field and by default you will get Stewarts score because hibberd didn't play.

If you don't care for Stewart's score, put machbank on field instead of hibberd and hope he does better.

The secret is getting the order correct, if hibberd played first you are stuffed.

      Caroline · 25/05/2017 at 12:49

It is lunchtime at school Derek and I have read your clear explanation. Now I need to get my head around Random's explanation below because although I know to put the E on SPP, and if I don't like his score I suppose I still choose between the other players – Berry, Barrett, and Greenwood as to who I have on the bench with Florent.
But who is the best player to field initially? Berry, Barrett or the new boy, Greenwood?

        Derek · 25/05/2017 at 13:19

shouldn't you be studying for your half yearly maths test!

as for who is best out of Berry, barrett or Greenwood, no-one knows the answer. Adelaide at home is always a good bet.

        Caroline · 25/05/2017 at 14:50

Feeling better about it now. SPP playing tonight so he starts on the ground. If Florent is selected then I won't have a stooge!!!
Nah, Religious education but I am not going to become a nun that's for sure.
Thanks everyone for being so caring.

To add some more clarify to Derek's most excellent post: " if hibberd played first you are stuffed" ….
You will be stuffed if Hibberd's team plays before you make the decision to sub in Marchbank or his team plays before Marchbank plays..

    Randomcliche2 · 25/05/2017 at 11:22

So you've got Captains loophole sorted, great! Now for the rookie loophole (which you can use for premos to if you get 23/4 of them!).

Put the E on the first player to play, this week that will be Geelong's Stewart in defense and SPP in mids (Berry/Greenwood play too close together on Sunday to get a final score before they are locked). After Thursday night, check the scores, if you like them i.e 55 plus then leave the 'Floating Donuts' on field. If SPP or Stewart stuff up, i.e. less than 55, move the FD to the bench and field Marchy/Berry etc.

A hypothetical, more techo version, is to have 2 scoring E's, who play before a pair of FD with DPP and premo DPP (e.g. this week Yeo and Pickett) so you can chose which E score from fwd or mids you want to take. There are many ways to set up FDs with enough DPPs, but the most standard way is the first one described above.

Oh, given you are going for league position, don't worry about most of the commentary around bye round planning with respect to purchases as lots here are focusing on overall rank first. If you want, count your playing players across each bye round, and compare to your opponents, then look to match up well for 2 out of 3 games (i.e. more players and or more keepers). But don't lose sight that it's important to buy the best value picks, which this week are in the mids, Danger, Pendles, JPK, Dusty, Treloar. If you do want a defensive premo to improve all bye rounds, then Harbrow. I'd probably avoid all other PA/GCS players….though a case for TJL and potentially Wines can be made.

    Good luck!

garfield_da_cat · 25/05/2017 at 10:37

Want to get people thoughts on trading out Taranto and Mcgrath and bringing in Hibberd and Lloyd or Myers or the other option is bring in Pendles and either Lloyd or Myers. i have 20 trades left and 28k in the bank. Thoughts?

    jez_m · 25/05/2017 at 12:44

I'd go Pendles and Lloyd. Myers has already had a price rise so no point in paying overs to get him now.

    lazza · 25/05/2017 at 13:56

A tad late on Myers ….has already accrued $38K … but probably has another $130k in him. His price is not much different to Stewart … so whilst its late, there is coin to make …However, Lloyd is a lot cheaper and likely to make more coin.
So given neither are keepers I'd go with Lloyd.

The Ranger · 25/05/2017 at 10:39

What are we doing with Balic?
Has he gotta go or do we think he might come back in soon?

    INPieman · 25/05/2017 at 11:09

If he's not back next week I'll be moving him on. Planning to go to Bolton if he's still playing

      Captain Risky · 25/05/2017 at 11:28

Same. next week he will be traded if there isn't any news of a return.

        The Ranger · 25/05/2017 at 11:41

Can't decide whether to drop him down to McInnes this week or wait another week.
Got 340K in the bank already so don't desperately need to raise cash but McInnes helps my Rd.11 bye carnage.
I could of course trade him up but that would leave me short of cash going into the byes and that's never a good idea.

    SCaddict · 25/05/2017 at 11:50

Like Pieman I'm holding this week and using him to loop either Parsons or SPP as I can switch him between my MID or FWD lines. I may even hold longer than that as he could be useful for flicking players around during the byes or to make DPP trades, although if a promising replacement presents in the next few weeks I'll likely move on that opportunity.

      INPieman · 25/05/2017 at 12:15

Keep an eye on cunico for the cats tonight SCA

        Eric · 25/05/2017 at 12:21

Will do INP. I also see that Will Brodie will make his debut this weekend.

          SCaddict · 25/05/2017 at 12:27

Yes Eric good to see we are getting a steady trickle of debutants. How reliable their JS will be remains to be seen so won't be moving on anyone until they are on the bubble including Greenwood.

        lazza · 25/05/2017 at 13:57

Cunico is as big a risk as JOM..

donn17984 · 25/05/2017 at 10:39

Ballic to Greenwood and
Hampton to Myers with 140K in the bank or Hampton to Scott Selwood??

    ToughBretts · 25/05/2017 at 12:59

Myers, Scott isn't going to have 17 tackles every week.

    whatyousmokin · 25/05/2017 at 13:30

    Hampton to Lloyd?

Tommo · 25/05/2017 at 10:49

Otten/Sandi -> Stewart(ESS)/Martin(BRS) or Marchbank/Sandi -> Stewart/Martin??

    SCaddict · 25/05/2017 at 13:32

Close call but I'd cull Marchbank ahead of Otten given their relative BEs assuming the decision doesn't impact adversely on your bye structure, or you don't really give a toss about that.

You will then have a few extra weeks to decide on what to do with Otten before his bye who hopefully won't have leaked too much more cash by that point.

Jason Di Staso · 25/05/2017 at 10:57

2 trades this week
Not sure if too early to get rid of spp but getting in geelong player helps for byes

Out mcgrath in d lloyd
Out spp in j selwood

Thoughts?

    Jason Di Staso · 25/05/2017 at 10:59

    Or could go
    Out mcgrath in d lloyd
    Out taranto in p rydeer
    (Have sandi and nank)

      Bradk · 25/05/2017 at 11:54

      Hold spp through the byes

    Finnius123 · 25/05/2017 at 12:12

    I like it

Jim · 25/05/2017 at 11:04

Thoughts on Charlie Dixon?

    jez_m · 25/05/2017 at 12:44

    Don't do it.

    SF4 · 25/05/2017 at 12:57

    No way

    FCAbel · 25/05/2017 at 13:05

Still dead dude. Form has been great. Be a good f7

dave · 25/05/2017 at 11:39

who would be the best rookie to bring in this week?
marchbank is going this week, was thinking mcinnes but not sure of his js.

i would love to upgrade another rookie to upgrade into dusty which i could, but my only thinking is that i only have 1 midfielder spot to fill which is for Sloane preferably..

also want to be bringing in the doch after the round 11 bye…

my tradeable rookies that have made some cash and will be ready to cull include marchbank, stewart, balic, barrett, taranto, and newman

    INPieman · 25/05/2017 at 12:28

I'd look at moving on Balic & Marchbank first

VARC · 25/05/2017 at 11:45

Potential double loophole this week for my mids with Rocky, SPP, Myers, Barrett and Pickett all in my side. Never had this level of flexibility before!

Doc · 25/05/2017 at 12:08

WHE to Pendles
Or
Sandilands to Ryder.

No donuts either way.

    Finnius123 · 25/05/2017 at 12:12

    1

    ToughBretts · 25/05/2017 at 13:00

Always take the gun unless it kills your structure

jez_m · 25/05/2017 at 12:45

First option easy.

Eric · 25/05/2017 at 12:47

Pendles or Jelwood? I can't decide. Both appear to have bottomed out and their bye isn't too much of an issue either way as I'm loaded with round 11 bye mids.

    ToughBretts · 25/05/2017 at 13:01

Pendles. Had some stinkers while he was waiting for Mrs. Pendles to pop, but his three scores over 140 are enough to say he still has it.

    SCaddict · 25/05/2017 at 13:08

Try to get both over the next few weeks if you can. But Pendles this week if you have to split hairs.

    Tibor · 25/05/2017 at 23:43

My god can't Joel pull a free kick especially playing down at tax payer park in Geelong and they have a bunch of games there now. He can't be tagged, you can't tag someone if you're not allowed to touch him

SirSamuel016 · 25/05/2017 at 13:28

Making one trade this week in Petrevski-Seton going out. I have 622k available cash when I trade him out so my only predicament is whether I trade in Pendles or the Bont.

    INPieman · 25/05/2017 at 13:48

Nice problem to have Sam. Maybe hang onto your money & wait till Bont has his bye then bring him in & same with Pendles

    lazza · 25/05/2017 at 14:04

Wait 1 more game on Bonts …. his BE is 165 , so more than likely to be cheaper … has the R11 bye, so pick him up for R12.
So go Pendles …. he is great value at the moment and should make his 104 BE.

      Russty_ · 25/05/2017 at 15:27

      Good advice.

Steve · 25/05/2017 at 13:34

Otten to Harbrow OR Houston to Walters?

Baggy Pants · 25/05/2017 at 13:35

Is Roo a definite out this weekend I cant find any info one way or another?

    INPieman · 25/05/2017 at 13:47

Rumour is he's having a rest

      Jason · 25/05/2017 at 13:57

That seems absurd with the Saints in a huge stake clash against the struggling Doggies this weekend. If it was a trip to Perth I could understand given him a fortnight off but can't he rest up next week during the Saints bye?

        Baggy Pants · 25/05/2017 at 13:59

Thats what i think they cant afford too lose this week. He has the bye then Adelaide away, you would think if anything he would miss that game.

        JoeD · 25/05/2017 at 14:05

Agree mate until I see his name listed under the OUTS tonight I reckon it's just a crock of shite probably cooked up by some tools on Twitter!

        lazza · 25/05/2017 at 14:07

His knee is rooted …. if he needs a rest they wont delay … if he plays he could end up missing many more games.

      neil Demons Delight · 25/05/2017 at 17:03

      NEVER ENDS

Jambak · 25/05/2017 at 13:40

Will jpk finish with a 110+ average?

    jez_m · 25/05/2017 at 14:40

I'd say so. Swans are improving and his scores will only get bigger.

    Russty_ · 25/05/2017 at 15:30

If I knew that, I'd know this week's Powerball numbers too.

My guess is , he'll probably have a few more of those 175 games, a few more 55 stinkers, with some 100's thrown in, and end up averaging around 100..but that's just speculation.

      Finnius123 · 25/05/2017 at 15:39

      JPK russty not JJK

        Russty_ · 25/05/2017 at 16:18

Ah ok, cheers mate…I got my JK's mixed up haha

Jim · 25/05/2017 at 13:40

Thoughts on Marchbank to HIbberd and Sandi to Ryder. Bringing in Hibberd means i'll have 8 premos out round 11, but will still have 20-22 players playing, 7 of which are rookies

    lazza · 25/05/2017 at 14:10

Huh? Hibberd's Bye is R11. And he's no premo.. hasn't reached that status ever ..

      Jim · 25/05/2017 at 14:16

Mate, i know its round 11, thats why i said it…
Also maybe not a premo yet, but correct me if i'm wrong, premo for def is around 500k+, in which he will get there comfortably, so im considering him as a premo.

        neil Demons Delight · 25/05/2017 at 17:12

exactly correct Jim Defence is the one position where your D6 can be a number of players shaw harbrow hibberd even newman.. also hibberd has done well this year is an all Australian and a new team TAKE BOTH HIM AND RYDER

Cliffy · 25/05/2017 at 13:50

I'm really stumped this week as to what I can do, any advice of what I could do community?

My main plan was to get Hibberd in this week because of his low BE and his attractive price for one
of my Def rookies, but because Sandi will miss this week it has thrown a spanner in the
works for me. I can cover him though thanks to Nank's DPP flexibility.

DEF: Laird, Simpson, Shaw, Otten, Marchbank, Berry (Stewart, Hibberd)
MID: Mitchell, Dangerfield, Adams, JPK, Fyfe, Treloar, Beams, SPP (Balic, Barrett, Fisher)
RUCK: Martin, Nankervis (Sandilands)
FWD: Yeo, Macrae, Dahlhaus, Butler, Heeney, Parsons (Eddy, Strandica)

Trades Left (before making any): 20
Left over cash: $85,300

Thanks guys

    Nado · 25/05/2017 at 14:23

I'd take Nank to cover Sandi and bring in Hibberd for Marchbank who has maxed out

Ryan · 25/05/2017 at 14:09

Zac jones to selwood and sandi to ryder

    Goat · 25/05/2017 at 15:08

Making the same trades only ZJ to Lloyd (I have less cash than you and he will fix my defence).

Wazzi A'Crim · 25/05/2017 at 14:18

Hey Cliffy

perhaps Balic to Greenwood, then Stewart to Hibberd?

lazza · 25/05/2017 at 14:21

I can't see the problem?

Otten to Hibberd
Butler to Greenwood – if Butler doesn't play.
Plenty of cash over to upgrade Marchbank next week.

I'm assuming the Hibberd already in your team is the NM spud. Put him on field and loophole Stewart (E) and Marchbank.
I'd also have Balic on field and loophole SPP (E) and Barrett and Fisher.

Jordan · 25/05/2017 at 14:30

Should I go Stewart to mcinnes

Or

McGrath and otten out for McInnes and laird?

SCaddict · 25/05/2017 at 14:39

JOM confirmed out for another month. Can't believe that nearly 20,000 coaches are still carrying him. Surely no one actively playing Supercoach would still be holding him this long so I'm guessing it must be mainly ghost sides abandoned by their owners for whatever reason.

Anyone in the community still carrying him and if so what is your reasoning? Hasn't played since round 6 after missing two games before that so that's a fair chunk of change to be weighing down your midfield bench. If you've still got him then he really needs to go before the main byes arrive as he sure as hell won't be helping you through that period for either rank or league.

    VARC · 25/05/2017 at 15:09

I had him up until last week when I got rid of him for Myers. Had other issues pop up in the meantime (e.g. Parfitt getting injured, Hampton going for Berry), plus he was named for that one week which kept him in my side until he was a late out and cost me a league win! Held him for maybe 1 or 2 extra weeks whilst I was waiting for a suitable rookie to emerge, but it didn't worry me too much as by not playing he wasn't losing any cash!

    Russty_ · 25/05/2017 at 16:23

Yeah SCaddict, 20,000 teams abandoned by their Coaches for whatever reason is right, probably nagging from their missus, I hate getting stuck with teams like that in my Leagues. People who can't commit to something after they even bother to create a team.
They should be auto-booted out of it and replaced with someone who wants to play and see it through.

I ditched his lame ass in round 6 for Oliver.

      neil Demons Delight · 25/05/2017 at 17:21

That was a great move Russty.Oliver looks to be anything a real beast I think Wallis will be the same maybe next year though could easily have been bulldog capt until Bont popped up

        Russty_ · 25/05/2017 at 18:02

Thanks Neil, yeah really happy with Oliver, although I paid $503,000 for him and not $382,000, Yeah Wallis looked very impressive last week, could be anything next year I agree.

Stav · 25/05/2017 at 18:45

Do I still go foley with preuss named?

    Stav · 25/05/2017 at 18:47

    Goldy even.

savo · 25/05/2017 at 18:52

Bring Danger in and cop a 0 or get in Ryder/Goldy for Sandi and have an extra rookie in my Mid

    redherringfc · 25/05/2017 at 19:09

tough call. it's hard to cop a donut. If you can afford to get Danger next week or after his bye then go for Goldy this week.

Alby · 25/05/2017 at 18:52

Barrett ,SPP or Myers on the field can only field 1.

redherringfc · 25/05/2017 at 19:00
