Great stuff as always Jock!

    jockreynolds · 23/05/2017 at 18:10

Thank you mate!! Incredible couple of weeks of OPPORTUNITY ahead.

      DefyingMadness · 23/05/2017 at 18:49

Was a close game in the onepercenters league mate, hopefully we can verse each other again come finals

      Raging Bulls · 23/05/2017 at 21:03

Hey Jock and the Gang! I think I speak for EVERYONE here when I write this but every time you say "we're running out of time here" on the podcast, I ponder to myself – 'what the bloody hell are you talking about!?' – No time limits are required mate, in fact, i'll bet this comment gets 100 'likes' if you trade us with perhaps a 60 minute podcast each week…!? Ja feel me Jock? 30 minutes a week is simply not enough… We want more. We love it. we need it….

      Thanks Mate…

        Deeboss · 23/05/2017 at 23:29

Jock stop cutting off Crouching and let the man speak…. SILENNCCCE!!!

Eduardo · 23/05/2017 at 18:18

Exactly.. Whereas some people see storms on the horizon, let's put the 2am beer goggles on and see the beauty in this thing!! Always opportunity if you're willing to look/squint.

    Lazza · 23/05/2017 at 18:22

Let it be said "Any idea after 2:00am is a good idea"…

Ken · 23/05/2017 at 18:18

Jock should I get hibberd or Lloyd

    SC_Kev7 · 23/05/2017 at 18:41

    Lloyd for mine

      Rememberer · 24/05/2017 at 11:00

Whar about Shaw Kev? Earlier you were telling everyone to get him instead of Docherty. http://www.jockreynolds.com.au/2017/01/11/heath-s

"55% had Sam Docherty in the first version of their teams. For $15k less you can have a guy with plenty of runs on the board and doesn’t play for Carlton. Heath Shaw has proven he can stay above 600k and is bloody hard to get in when he’s on song."

        Cogla13 · 24/05/2017 at 18:53

        Ka Bam!

    Tommo09 · 23/05/2017 at 19:41

I got Hibberd 2 weeks ago but can be up and down
Lloyd more reliable but more expensive

      JohndJames · 24/05/2017 at 00:39

Hibberd has scored 113 and 110 in those two weeks, how is that up and down.

        Tommo09 · 24/05/2017 at 07:44

The week before he got a 50

          JohndJames · 24/05/2017 at 12:34

And the two weeks before the 56 he scored 124 and 90,so one bad score out of five, not really up and down.

MickyB · 23/05/2017 at 18:29

Greenwood or bolton for job security?

Lloyd roberton or hibberd as defence premo?

    SC_Kev7 · 23/05/2017 at 18:44

Neither look to be the safest bet right now. Butler should be back this week, be interesting to see if Bolton holds his spot. Greenwood would be hard to drop if he backs up his awesome debut

      INPieman · 23/05/2017 at 19:07

The thing that makes me nervous about Greenwood is Harrison Wigg. Has killed it in the SANFL for 2 years without getting a game. Hannan & Butler both scored 96 on debut & haven't set the world on fire since. Does he have JS in that line up. Not in the slightest. He's tackling numbers are trouser stretching to the extreme. It's damn tempting. But proceed with caution. We've been torched by many a rookie this year. Shai Bolton is a small forward. If butler comes back he could be the man to make way. No way I'd go early on him

        Derek · 23/05/2017 at 19:53

Greenwood made 9 tackles on the weekend, next best in that game was 4. He can't and won't keep that up and won't score 100's each week plus kicked 3 goals

          Rick · 23/05/2017 at 20:05

Coaches going early and madly trading him in this week and putting him on their field are likely to be disappointed. It's Hannan all over again.

            whatyousmokin · 23/05/2017 at 21:53

            Hes nothing like Hannan.

              Dice · 23/05/2017 at 22:37

Best part about Greenwoods weekend was the 9 tackles. If he can keep near that mark its impossible to be dropped

          Lachy · 23/05/2017 at 22:35

Derek one thing you should know about contested freak tacklers are taht they usually end up doing it a fair bit ol mate.. Look at libba, sloane and merrett as examples.

          DefyingMadness · 23/05/2017 at 23:02

Nobody expects him to hit 100 every week. I think it is reasonable to expect a 70 average if he keeps his game up.

    Beezneez · 24/05/2017 at 11:36

I wouldn't be getting either of them in till they're on the bubble in round 11. Like Pieman said Butler will be back and the Crows have Jenkins and Cheney (and possibly Mackay) to come back in. If Greenwood and Gallucci continue to play well it would be hard to drop them in the short term. i am looking at bringing in Grenwood and either Bolton or Gallucci next week for cash generation to get my preferred trade ins in round 12.. This may change if Ryan and Scharenberg are named. Any of these will be brought in for Hampton, Eddy and Balic as bye cover. The spanner in the works of this plan is my original intention to bring in D Llyod of GWS this week. I believe he is the one with the best JS but his scoring may not be great. No-one seems to mention him that much. Having said all that, he may well not make selection this week – it's that type of season.

      whatyasmokin · 24/05/2017 at 12:28

Surely Lloyd for GWS gets selected, they have so many injuries.

    Doggy · 24/05/2017 at 12:19

If greenwood is named this week I'll trade balic down to greenwood. Don't want to, but sandi out means I'll need to cover a donut in the forward line.

Josh Kelly · 23/05/2017 at 18:36

Jacob Hopper had a better debut than Hugh Greenwood last season Jock

Thomas · 23/05/2017 at 18:50

Hey guys, this is my team. Got 18 trades and 270k in the bank
Def: Adams, Laird, Simmo, Rance, Marchbank, Newman (Hampton, Stewart)
Mid: Danger, Bont, Pendles, Fyfe, JPK, Treloar, Barratt, SPP (Parfitt, Myers, Fisher)
Ruc: Grundy, Sandi (Strnadica)
Fwd: Yeo, Dahl, Macrae, Buddy, Greenwood, Parsons (Hannan, Eddy)

Thoughts on what trades i should do this week? Noticed that Grundy and Sandi both have the same bye. Thinking i could bring Ryder in to cover that round 13 bye, or Bring in Dusty/Jelwood and Trade Sandi to a Stef Martin or Goldy in round 13.
Any other ideas are very welcomed, just throwing up ideas

    Ethan · 23/05/2017 at 19:11

you would think both ruckman are good enough to stay, One of Ryder or Nankervis would definitely help given you do have Strnadica. Probably wouldnt be moving barrett or SPP yet as one will give you good bye cover while barrett is still on the rise

      Thomas · 23/05/2017 at 19:14

Which ever i pick, whether its ruck cover or Dusty/Jelwood, i'll be trading Parfitt

    TheScacman · 24/05/2017 at 11:08

Definitely get a mid into the side, having Barrett and SPP both onfield will hurt your scoring, and the rest of your team is looking very solid other than having to play Parsons onfield

Finnius123 · 23/05/2017 at 18:55

Higgo scott lycett is only a couple of weeks away. Is Mcinnes JS really that good?

    Ethan · 23/05/2017 at 19:09

Mcinnes didnt do much wrong on the weakened he did put the 2nd most pressure acts from his team and racked up decent numbers. Is undersized for a ruckman but its still down to whoever performs between vardy and himself if one is going to get dropped, once lycett is back

      Cogla13 · 24/05/2017 at 18:58

Petrie will be back next week. And then Lycett, McInnes won't last.

Steeeve · 23/05/2017 at 18:57

Love to know people's thoughts about defensive downgrade options. Should we go for an O'Connor/McInnes this week (for, say, Marchbank) or wait and hope a Ryan/Scharenberg get a gig soon?
Need to free up the cash so we can get to full premo during the byes. But also need warm bodies during the byes…

    Finnius123 · 23/05/2017 at 19:08

If scharenburg/ryan gets named this week I may pull the trigger, as they are very unlikely to get dropped after just one game. I need that rd 11 bye coverage and they are definitely a possible solution.

    TheScacman · 24/05/2017 at 11:13

Wait for Ryan/Scharenberg. Will both score points (much more than O'Connor's 40 odd) and you'd expect Scharenberg to have good JS when he comes in given his role as an accumulator and another tall back

Alex · 23/05/2017 at 19:00

Go early on T Williamson// M Hannan// J Barrett

    Jink · 23/05/2017 at 21:00

    Oi wot

    Cogla13 · 25/05/2017 at 11:52

Do you mean to trade out? If you had to pick one I'd go Williamson. The other 2 scored well last round and their BE's are quite low.

TigerNut · 23/05/2017 at 19:02

Laird or Adams? Leaning towards Laird. I would like to go Adams im just not sure he can stay on the park for the rest of the year

    Finnius123 · 23/05/2017 at 19:07

    Laird is a gun.

      Tommo09 · 23/05/2017 at 20:07

      I love Laird
      Very consistent
Scores well even when his team is dominating

    lok · 23/05/2017 at 19:59

Both are pretty much the same player.

    JohndJames · 24/05/2017 at 00:46

People have been worrying about Adams all season, look what they have missed out on.Both are a must for defence, traded in Adams round three,Hibberd this week,Laird next week.

    TheScacman · 24/05/2017 at 10:56

Both very consistent, both get plenty of the pill, Adams plays basically as a full time mid, Laird with 30 in the backline. Much for muchness

Lazza · 23/05/2017 at 19:03

Wingard out for two weeks … maybe Eddy might reappear …

    INPieman · 23/05/2017 at 19:24

Finally someone on ports injury list. But that's a long way from like for like

      Crowls · 23/05/2017 at 20:34

Gray spends more time onthe ball. Eddy plays and Crowls hits reverse button. yes baby

        RobDog · 24/05/2017 at 00:23

Monfries has been playing well, will come in for Chinguard.

Max · 23/05/2017 at 19:05

Hampton out with a high grade ankle sprain. He won't be seen at all through the byes so he has to go people.

    Robbo · 23/05/2017 at 20:26

That was mentioned in the podcast chief. Maybe you should listen to that first before posting?

      Jink · 23/05/2017 at 21:02

Shut up you useless prick, why do you waste your time having a go at someone you spud. Stop being a flog.

        Cogla13 · 24/05/2017 at 19:03

        Why? Robbo's point is valid.

      Adam · 23/05/2017 at 21:19

      Rude prick

Tommo09 · 23/05/2017 at 19:14

Thoughts on going early on Greenwood and getting McInnes as well?

Both have bad JS but I need the cash
(88k in the kitty)
Could also go down to Ryan if named this week?

    lok · 23/05/2017 at 19:57

Wouldn't say Greenwood has bad JS. Bloke is mature age, tall, and flexible around the ground.

      Tommo09 · 23/05/2017 at 20:10

I might wait a week in him

Might go Stewart to McInnes this week if named and SPP/Barrett to Greenwood and Balic to S.Martin

Finnius123 · 23/05/2017 at 19:14

did jock actually win supercoach 3 times?

    INPieman · 23/05/2017 at 19:27

I'd like you to be a witness for me at my next trial Finnius

      Finnius123 · 23/05/2017 at 21:38

    lok · 23/05/2017 at 19:59

    Spammy · 23/05/2017 at 20:01

If you believe that then I guess you also believe they went to China last week to cover the Port GC game. Ole Jocky boy can BS with the best of them! πŸ™‚

      TRIGGER HAPPY · 23/05/2017 at 20:13

      I'm sure he's got a master's in BS.

        barry · 23/05/2017 at 20:36

        and eating pies

      Finnius123 · 23/05/2017 at 21:37

Wait didn't they go to china?

        Deeboss · 24/05/2017 at 01:26

as if Jock won supercoach 3 times…. loll. He's a true aussie battler just like most of us here, don't know why he calls himself the father of fantasy either. The father of BS more like it… love ya Jock!

    Bells · 24/05/2017 at 12:29

Yes, Jock first won Supercoach when he broke into the senior footy as a 12 year old.

    Moustachio · 24/05/2017 at 20:03

There is also a real place called Pyanmar

Finnius123 · 23/05/2017 at 19:27

Does anyone know how team announcements work this week with the thursday night game?

    DefyingMadness · 23/05/2017 at 19:35

Thursday games teams get announced wednesday. The rest get revealed as normal

    ChasingFinals17 · 23/05/2017 at 22:20

There have been many other Thursday night games that have already happened this year

Creek465 · 23/05/2017 at 19:31

Hey fellas sturggling for trades this week, dont think higgins is the real deal, whats thoughts on trading him to daniher? Any suggestions?

    Dice · 23/05/2017 at 22:42

No way bro. Unless you got plenty of trades up your sleeve

    Randomcliche · 23/05/2017 at 23:51

I think higgins is the real deal. Tag got sent to him because he is number 1 outside mid, and number 2 mid behind Cunnington. Trade at your own risk.

    frogger · 24/05/2017 at 05:05

Stick with Higgins and keep focus on getting to full premo.

    TheScacman · 24/05/2017 at 10:51

Even if Higgins isn't the real deal, dont expect Daniher to keep notching up tons. Trap.

Benny · 23/05/2017 at 19:39

Macrae forward or Treloar mid?

    INPieman · 23/05/2017 at 19:43

Macrae is a top 3 forward. My Nanna is a better kick than Treloar

      TheScacman · 24/05/2017 at 11:06

Hard to argue with that, possibly worse to watch kick than pies-era Heath Shaw putting them 50 metres in the air out of our back half to nobody circa 2012

Alby · 23/05/2017 at 19:44

Who are the must have backmen I already have Laird, Shaw and Docherty I want to offload Marchbank money is not an issue

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 23/05/2017 at 20:02

Based on performance so far Adams has to be there.

      Tommo09 · 23/05/2017 at 20:06

Rance Tuohy Adams Hibberd are all up there
Adams is the best option IMO

    Panthers1738 · 23/05/2017 at 20:07

I would get rid of Shaw and get T.Adams. Only been under 100 once this year, very consistent.

      Alby · 23/05/2017 at 20:20

Would love to get rid of Shaw but feel it's to late at this stage I am hoping he can turn it around or wait until I am full premo before that trade.

    JohndJames · 24/05/2017 at 00:49

Add Adams,Lloyd and Hibberd and you have your top six.

      DefyingMadness · 24/05/2017 at 01:36

Hibberd will struggle for top 10 IMO

    TheScacman · 24/05/2017 at 10:54

Adams and Lloyd. Both super consistent, Adams with high ceiling, Lloyd scoring 90+ almost every week

Joshua · 23/05/2017 at 20:00

Marchbank to McInnes locked in If named. Otten to Harbrow I think I will be going with the upgrade.

    Don Drumpf · 23/05/2017 at 23:09

Spot on, Josh. Have done same.

Harbrow top 6 from here on.

      whatyasmokin · 24/05/2017 at 02:19

Big call but I do like his scoring. I reckon top 5 are Laird, Adams, Doch, Lloyd and Roberton, there's still 5-10 other guys that can string some good games together and get up there.

      Cogla13 · 24/05/2017 at 19:32

Harbrow is a big risk. Hanley will be back soon.

lok · 23/05/2017 at 20:02

Worth trading Stewart to McInnes
WHE or Pickett to Greenwood this week?

Panthers1738 · 23/05/2017 at 20:06

Hey Guys this is my team. Got 14 trades left with 31.5k left in the bank.

Def: Laird, Adams, Lloyd, Hibberd, Newman, EVW (Stewart, Mitchell Hibberd)
Mid: Titch, Bont, Danger, Dusty, Fyfe, Oliver, Sloane, Josh Kelly (Myers, Pickett, Miles)
Ruck: Martin, Sandi (Cameron)
Fwd: Buddy, Nank, Steele, K.Turner, Taranto, Greenwood (Black, Eddy)

Any thoughts on trades this week coming into the bye rounds appreciated.

    Finnius123 · 23/05/2017 at 20:49

Pickett to Lloyd would be my only trade this week if I was you. You have a lot of non playing rookies so I would be looking to move them on sooner rather than later.

      whatyasmokin · 24/05/2017 at 02:15

    LoganJosh7 · 24/05/2017 at 09:44

14 trades boy oh boy wowee

    Cogla13 · 24/05/2017 at 19:33

Wow, too many trades and still rookies playing. Big trouble.

TRIGGER HAPPY · 23/05/2017 at 20:06

Rd 13 is the iceberg.

you can see it from a long way out and if careful can negotiate it.

but it's what you can't see just below the surface that could do the real damage.

Lots of rooks appearing or just below the surface Rd 13.

    Randomcliche · 23/05/2017 at 23:55

I'm not touching these rnd 13 bubble boys they not cover my million bye rnd 13 premos.

Don't Blush Baby · 23/05/2017 at 20:08

Is Harbrow a value pick @ 472k ? perfect bye and is he potential top 6 Def ?

    Don Drumpf · 23/05/2017 at 23:10

      DavidSA · 24/05/2017 at 00:23

On the same token he has actually over achieved this season so far against a full career of stats.
I predict yo yo scores that will hurt teams that selected him. High 80's avg for rest of season at best

    whatyasmokin · 24/05/2017 at 02:15

Nice POD, could end up a good D7 at worst I reckon. Not sure if worth buying into.

      Cogla13 · 24/05/2017 at 19:35

      D7 at worst??

    TheScacman · 24/05/2017 at 10:53

Think about Rance at about the same price. Richmond starting to leak more points, Rance will see more of the ball, proven history and Supercoach-friendly game style

      Johnson · 24/05/2017 at 17:44

Rance does better when the Tiges struggle. There is an inverse correlation between the Tiges winning and Rance's SC score. They sucked ass last season hence he had a fine average. Has only scored well lately off the back of more Richmond losses. So bringing in Rance this week you are effectively saying that you don't believe the Tiges will play finals.

        Don't Blush Baby · 24/05/2017 at 19:22

        Thnx , I've had Rance from R1

lok · 23/05/2017 at 20:12

1) Stewart to McInnes
2) Marchbank to McInnes
3) WHE to Greenwood
4) Picket to Greenwood

Which options are best?
Leaning on 1 and 3.

    bob the builder · 23/05/2017 at 20:24

Depends whether the rookies you are downgrading to will be playing on field or not. You want to try and make cash but not lose too many points

    Panthers1738 · 23/05/2017 at 21:18

I've done your number 3 trade this round which gave me 310k in the bank which I was then able to trade out SPP and get a premo midfielder, so 3 for me.

      Finnius123 · 23/05/2017 at 21:37

Hold SPP at least until after rd 11

Osei · 23/05/2017 at 20:30

Hey guys trying to choose a fwd upgrade option? who do you guys think is the best pick out of ryder JJK greene Cameron and Wingard??? Thanks

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 23/05/2017 at 20:35

    Winguard is injured
    Green is a tool
    Ryder has had his bye
Cameron and JJK are key forwards.
Choose one of the last 3 that best suits your bye structure.
Probably JJK. RD 12 and a stack of games to come at Domain.

      Randomcliche · 23/05/2017 at 23:58

I love my cognitive bias against selecting flog Green. He will never grace my team.

Jeff · 23/05/2017 at 21:05

Current trades this week:
Stewart to Oconnor
Pickett to Pendlebury
5k now remaining.

    DacZawson · 23/05/2017 at 22:16

O'Connor I would avoid, try looking at a different premium to trade in

    TheScacman · 24/05/2017 at 11:01

Hold on trading Pickett if he's on the pine, Mitch Wallis 70K cheaper, Scharenberg for the Pies may come in, would be much better for both points scoring and cash generation

    Cogla13 · 24/05/2017 at 19:36

    O'Connor is out

Good · 23/05/2017 at 21:19

Do I get Wingard or Higgins

    Huggy · 23/05/2017 at 21:20

Winged out for a couple of weeks mate

    Good · 23/05/2017 at 21:21

Or is it worth an extra bit of cash to get jjk

      Finnius123 · 23/05/2017 at 21:36

JJK for shizzle. Guaranteed top 6 forward and has that rd 12 bye.

    Adam · 23/05/2017 at 21:23

    Id get lachie plowman

      whatyousmokin · 23/05/2017 at 21:57

    frogger · 24/05/2017 at 05:01

    Ryder an option?

    Cogla13 · 24/05/2017 at 19:37

    Wingard is out.

Willymack1234 · 23/05/2017 at 21:22

Ryder or Lynch?

    Adam · 23/05/2017 at 21:25

    Plowman is the smart get

    Finnius123 · 23/05/2017 at 21:36

Ryder is DPP. If getting Lynch wait a week because he has a very high BE

Ben · 23/05/2017 at 21:37

Making my trades with one eye towards byes, which im sure everyone else is too.
Got Grundy and Sandi as my ruck combo, who both have the round 13 bye(I dont have Nank). Which option do i pick?
Option 1: Parfitt to Ryder (Means i only cop the 1 donut in the ruck)
Option 2: Parfitt to Dusty/Jelwood (Trade Sandi to Goldy/Stef Martin in round 13)

    Finnius123 · 23/05/2017 at 21:42

Option 2. It doesn't matter getting 2 ruck doughnuts in rd 13 – just as long as the rest of your team isn't getting that many and you can field 18 players. Jelwood has a rd 12 bye so should be good cover, and will score more points than Paddy for the same number of games in rd 11 and 13, so should actually be a decent pick.

      Ben · 24/05/2017 at 08:12

      Thanks for the reply mate
Thats true, but i can also see Ryder as a top 6 fwd potentially.
My current bye structure for round 13 is
2 premos out in def, 3 in the mids and 2 rucks. Got no forwards out.
After knowing this, would you still bring in the midfielder over Ryder?

aaron · 23/05/2017 at 21:45

Should we be buying Treloar?

    Randomcliche · 24/05/2017 at 00:00

Do you need meat prepared? I'm hoping for a BBQ rnd 14. Wanna come?

dan · 23/05/2017 at 21:45

Anybody know what J Stewarts JS is like?

    whatyasmokin · 24/05/2017 at 02:13

Huge wins over Geelong and WCE with him in the team, you don't fix what isn't broken I reckon his JS is good.

    TheScacman · 24/05/2017 at 10:53

Good JS as he lets Daniher push up the ground, and the only other big tall up forward looks to be Hooker

Andrew · 23/05/2017 at 21:52

Butler to Greenwood or wait a week to see if he ain't a flash in the pan?

    whatyousmokin · 23/05/2017 at 22:00

If butler not back id pull the trigger it avoids a donut

    whatyousmokin · 23/05/2017 at 22:00

    If it avoids a donut*

      Andrew · 24/05/2017 at 10:07

I have parsons as cover so it's the same thing as a donut really

James · 23/05/2017 at 21:57

Anyone thinking Wines? Cheap and bye out of the way

    Keenbutclueless · 23/05/2017 at 22:34

Yeah, but I am going to wait a week. He's a bit hot and cold this year. Tossing up with Gray also. Again, hot and cold, but is more proven than Wines. Close call. This week might help

      DavidSA · 24/05/2017 at 00:14

Don't expect any Port premo to be consistent
Hinkley is changing things up this season not to be a prick or because his team is struggling. It's simply because it's a new strategy for Port so that opposition teams can't predict or settle into a game. Not that Port is the only team doing this but Ports list of players allows them to do this probably the best out of any team currently.

    whatyasmokin · 24/05/2017 at 02:12

Jimmy · 23/05/2017 at 22:29

I am going to trade in Gibbs this week as a POD what are peoples thoughts on this

avg = 99
3/5 avg = 107/102
ownership= 0.6% teams

apart from his 1 low score of 58 he has been really consistant scoring 104,119,103,96,91,99,115,108 and i believe he can still build his scoring second half of the season

    bob the builder · 23/05/2017 at 23:26

i like it mate but unless his BE is low i would consider waiting until after his bye

    DavidSA · 24/05/2017 at 00:11

Less attention on Gibbs this year is a good sign

    Randomcliche · 24/05/2017 at 00:52

Couldn't entertain it with JPK, chopstix, Jelwood and even Treloar all on sale!

MrsAmudala · 23/05/2017 at 23:25

So confused. Do I give up on Callan Ward? I've been waiting for him to come good but I'm losing patience.

    DavidSA · 24/05/2017 at 00:18

Gotta hold him mate I'm in a similar boat with Shiel and we need to asses what our option are after full premo and nearing finals. If we still have atleast 4 trades after round 19 then yes find a way to sideways to the best bang for buck player

    FCAbel · 24/05/2017 at 00:41

Hold till at least his buy and reasses

    TheScacman · 24/05/2017 at 10:57

Could consider downgrading/sideways to Mitch Wallis if he scores well this week, also has FWD/MID eligibility

DavidSA · 24/05/2017 at 00:09

Looking at Bont, Kennedy and Roberton after the round 11 and 12 byes. These 3 will bring me to full prem other than the fact I'm carrying far from less premo players in Shiel and Steele but not much I can do now just have to upgrade least worthy when finals starts.

My current team is to field 17,21,17 players over the byes. Not too concerned about round 11 just want to have 2000+ scores in round 12 and 13

    Randomcliche · 24/05/2017 at 00:49

If that 17 21 17 is total players I think you need to do a lot more planning if going for overall.

      DavidSA · 24/05/2017 at 07:56

      Yeah that's current
Looking at my trade plans I can field 18, 22, 19 so r12 I dodge 4 lowest and r13 dodge the lowest scores.

Big G · 24/05/2017 at 00:34

Will rocky,s scoring be affected when he comes back

    whatyasmokin · 24/05/2017 at 02:11

I don't think so myself but maybe for a couple of weeks.

    John · 24/05/2017 at 08:20

I would say yes. Gets a lot of tackles normally. With a shoulder injury players tend to avoid tackling as it can aggravate / reinjure it. Think GAJ for quite a while
after he came back from his shoulder.

That being said Rocky has a habit of surprising people coming back from injuries early.

      Wedge · 24/05/2017 at 16:40

Last time he had 3 weeks off from injury he came back and scored 204

Spanner · 24/05/2017 at 00:45

I think I'm going to go Ebert and McInnes in for Balic and Marchbank. Thoughts?

I'm tossing up between Ebert and Lloyd. I really like Llyod's consistency and his dual position which will really help with cashing in all my juicy cash cows in defence. But Ebert is a great POD who has already had his bye.

    whatyasmokin · 24/05/2017 at 02:10

Have to say Lloyd, had him from the start and is ultra reliable. Ebert is good but like most port players a bit up and down over his career.

    LoganJosh7 · 24/05/2017 at 09:47

balic couldddd be back in within 2 weeks. its a stretch tho

      Cogla13 · 24/05/2017 at 19:40

      Balic gone for the season.

Iamme · 24/05/2017 at 01:16

I'm seriously contemplating bringing Scharenberg straight in this week for Marchbank and cash gen…..41 touch's too good to resist, surely he gets a game next round?.

    whatyasmokin · 24/05/2017 at 02:22

If he gets named I'll be tempted to do the same trade. Need to cull marchbank and otten, but not convinced of McInnes JS. These mid season downgrades are important. Got EVW luckily a few weeks ago.

    TheScacman · 24/05/2017 at 10:52

Scharenberg, Greenwood, Bolton, Luke Ryan all looking like good mid-season downgrades over the next few weeks (if they get picked and stay picked). Much more chop than the start of the year

Deeboss · 24/05/2017 at 01:51

Hi Community, just to double check…. is it the best 22 SC scores during the bye rounds? Thank you.

    whatyasmokin · 24/05/2017 at 02:09

22 is the standard team mate. 18 scores during bye rounds πŸ˜‰

    frogger · 24/05/2017 at 05:10

No more on any line than the number of on-field spots (so let's say you have 8 forwards available rd 12, you can only use 6 scores, you can't use the other two to compensate across lines)

    Moustachio · 24/05/2017 at 20:00

    Best 18 on the field

AuroraBorealis?! · 24/05/2017 at 04:32

Hey community, whats McInnes' JS looking like? Never seen the kid play but just going off scores he seems a decent downgrade that can make some cash. Plus he's got a rd 12 bye which is handy for my side.

    neil demonsdelight · 24/05/2017 at 09:49

been around a few years now ordinary player Petrie will come in

Jono · 24/05/2017 at 07:05

Martin v Goldy v Ryder v Grundy???

Martin worst for bye structure…Ryder best…Goldy and Grundy have bottomed out but not convinced…thoughts

    Tyruddanaut · 24/05/2017 at 07:27

I'd go with Grundy. He shot out top scores at the end of last year

Tyruddanaut · 24/05/2017 at 07:06

I'm torn between a double downgrade and bringing in McInnes or going straight up to Harbrow

Moosehead · 24/05/2017 at 07:29

McInnes mightn't play many (Any?) more games because of a couple of big WCE's about to return. I admire his persistence but that is life. Harbrow is have a ripper year.

    INPieman · 24/05/2017 at 08:03

See if he gets named this week. Hoping they give him a crack

      Dildor · 24/05/2017 at 09:35

Even if he is named this week, who says he'll be named when the bigs come back? Not worth it for one price rise surely?

        Finnius123 · 24/05/2017 at 09:48

Maybe if he plays rd 11 then he is worth it. Literally just need him for that cover.

          BlakeyP · 24/05/2017 at 10:03

60 points for a trade is not it. If ya brimg him in you have to believe he is goin to play for a bit and get some cash

    INPieman · 24/05/2017 at 11:08

Looking into it a bit further Lycett listed as 2 weeks away. Thought he was further than that. That makes him a pass for me now

      Finnius123 · 24/05/2017 at 11:10

What back rookies are you looking at this week then Pieman? Would you go early on Scharenburg/Ryan? I am strongly considering it if either are named.

Rivo · 24/05/2017 at 07:46

Is it worth going early to get Luke Ryan in? Helps me get Adams. Plenty of other options. Considering byes and structure, still unsure. 18 trades and $51k. Currently:

D: Doc, Larid, Simpson, Shaw, Marchbank, EVW (Stewart, Hampton). Pending selections, what does the Community think on the below please?

Marchbank & Hampton to:

1. Adams & Ryan
2. Rance & Mcinnes
3. Loyd & Scharenberg
4. Hurley & Mcinness
5. Harbrow & Berry?

    Harrison · 24/05/2017 at 08:12

Wait till squads are announced, heard Scharenberg had a good game with 41 touches. 2 or 4 are the safest options imo.

      Rivo · 24/05/2017 at 08:29

Thanks Harrison. That is where I'm leaning to also. Rance v Daniher & Hurley v Riewold this weekends "8 point game". Thinking both defenders will score well. Maybe Rance, just…

    Dice · 24/05/2017 at 08:42

3 – Lloyd ultra consistent this year. And guessing here although he hasn't played yet, i'm leaning toward Scharenberg rather than Mcinness. Surely can't get a game in their best side and got Petrie breathing down his neck

    neil demonsdelight · 24/05/2017 at 09:46

Dice on the money here fellas. Lloyd dpp and consistent and Scharenberg potentially anything Bucks will give him a go .McInnes has plenty of competition

      Rivo · 24/05/2017 at 10:15

True Neil, but getting Lloyd would have my team with 5 x Swans, as I have JPK, Hanners, Buddy & Heeney. That means trouble with their upcoming bye. Will need to check to see if it can be covered. That's why I was leaning to Rance or Hurley.

    whatyasmokin · 24/05/2017 at 12:23

Hurley had a neck complaint that is listed as a test.

Bad_News_Brown · 24/05/2017 at 08:09

Interesting conundrum to be in. I am bringing in stradenica for some cash, as I moved Ryder into my bench spot in the ruck last week when I upgraded Preuss. This leaves me a situation, I need to sell Matera or Wingard, initially I was going to sell Brandon but now the Chad is out if I don't want to be stuck with Hannan on the field if I sell a warm Matera.

The questions:

Sell Wingard – Matera on field and have more cash in the bank – obviously upgrade Matera in 3-4 weeks post the bye,he's situated to rise in price also – this will also give me 6 playing forwards in the first bye round as opposed to 5 if I do below
Sell Matera – Hannan on field, keep the Chad – for me to do this I have to label Chad as a keeper, is Chad a keeper this year? I don't want to move him on if so, I'm just not convinced.

    Finnius123 · 24/05/2017 at 11:08

Hold wingard. It is only 1-2 weeks and I reckon that he is a keeper who will help in rd 12 and 13 and maybe even 11

    TheScacman · 24/05/2017 at 11:26

Golden rule: 2 weeks or more, out the door. Wingard being 1-2 is a hold

    Moustachio · 24/05/2017 at 20:00

    Lol Matera

Ben · 24/05/2017 at 10:15

fellas is it worth going marchback to Hibbered even though he has bye round 11. My other defenders with round 11 bye include Docherty and Newman.

    Harrison · 24/05/2017 at 10:19

I would wait and trade in Hibberd after his bye

      Terry · 24/05/2017 at 11:03

If he's upgrading another round 11 bye player in Marchbank to Hibberd then there is little point waiting until after their bye. So Ben may as well bring in Hibbo now before he shoots up further in price and also before Marchbank starts leaking cash.

        Finnius123 · 24/05/2017 at 11:07

Well there isn't really no point as he is getting less rd 11 players which is a good thing…

Ben · 24/05/2017 at 10:30

is Jarrod Harbrow a viable option or a trap?

    TheScacman · 24/05/2017 at 10:46

History would say he hasn't averaged over 86, but is he keeps up the current vein of form he will be a top 6-10 defender. Look at other options first

      lazza · 24/05/2017 at 14:10

      Ditto Hibberd…

    INPieman · 24/05/2017 at 11:17

Hard to say. Previous 10 years say he's a trap. This season he's been brilliant. Can he keep it up is anyone guess

    Jimmy · 24/05/2017 at 11:47

I'm actually putting him in this week. Over 6 games he has averaged 98 so it's not as if we only have 2 games to judge him by. My only concern is will the return of Pearce Hanley affect his scores?

      James · 24/05/2017 at 14:26

That's a super point Jimmy. With our defenders maintaining that rebounding role is crucial to sustaining premium output.

LoganJosh7 · 24/05/2017 at 11:03

Not super relevant but the fact that Brisbane could have Yeo, Doch, hanley, patfull, polec to name just a few – boggles the mind!

    INPieman · 24/05/2017 at 11:12

Yeo & Doch & enormous losses. And even Billy Longer to some extent. They might be adding Josh Schacke to the departure lounge. Devastating. I like what they did with McLuggage. After they picked him up they used the rest of their draft picks to recruit all his mates to nullify go home factor

      Bells E Bubb · 24/05/2017 at 18:40

Unfortunately he's shite though. Nice plan if he'd of been good though. Brisbane is pants as far as being a place to play afl. Too bloody hot/humid through preseason.
Goldy did similar with their picks this year, at least they have the sea breeze, beaches to keep players around. Dud place if you happen to like brains to come with a girl though.

    TheScacman · 24/05/2017 at 11:15

But more importantly, FEV OUT OF THE SQUARE

      LoganJosh7 · 24/05/2017 at 11:53

        Greg · 24/05/2017 at 13:31

Brad Scott is waiting for Preuss's ownership to decrease by another half and only then will bring him back and also drop Goldy. Wants him to be a POD in his own Supercoach side by the looks.

      hedski · 24/05/2017 at 12:17

      Every fckn week it happens.

    Beady Eye · 24/05/2017 at 12:02

Now would be a great time for a Darcy Cameron debut.

      Finnius123 · 24/05/2017 at 12:05

Agreed. Could definitely come in for sinclair.

        Adam · 24/05/2017 at 12:17

was best on in the NEAFL last week. Could come in

          whatyasmokin · 24/05/2017 at 12:32

Could be a good move. Those playing for leagues only should hold.

        Bells · 24/05/2017 at 18:46

Unlikely. Sinclair has been fighting hard and has nearly learned how to mark the football in recent weeks.
Cameron is behind Tippet for fwd/ruck atm. Naismath and Sinclair battling for ruck/fwd.
Cameron might be a great pick next year if the Swans ditch Tippetts salary. So part of me wants no debut even though I have him.

    Choice · 24/05/2017 at 12:21

Is this the time to bring in Goldstein?

    No idea but quest observation

    SC_Kev7 · 24/05/2017 at 16:29

Backline and Forward lines need help. 20 Trades and 170K in bank.
Def – Doc, Laird, Adams, Otten, Newman, EVW (Hampton,Stewart)
Mid – Tich, Danger,Pendles,Oliver,Fyfe,Priddis,Kennedy,SPP (Barrett,Fisher,Balic)
R – Sandi,Martin (Preuss)
FWD – Dahl, Steele, Nank, Higgins, McCluggage,Parsons (Butler,Housten)
Depends on team selections and obviuosly Hampton injured but any ideas on Trades appreciated.

    whatyasmokin · 24/05/2017 at 12:18

Butler/Houston to Greenwood, Hampton to premo defender.

    whatyasmokin · 24/05/2017 at 12:22

    Sandi out this week………….

Sana · 24/05/2017 at 11:51

No mention of Pendles fellas? He's ripe. Get on him! His kid has popped, he's good to go!

Thomas · 24/05/2017 at 11:54

Dusty or Selwood? Really torn. Selwood probably has him for consistency but Dusty has a great ceiling and probably handles a tag slightly better. My midfield currently reads
Danger, Bont, Pendles, JPK, Fyfe, Treloar, SPP, Barratt (Parfitt (who im trading out), Fisher and Myers)
What are your thoughts community?

    DefyingMadness · 24/05/2017 at 12:04

Selwood every time. He has a purple patch every year and now that it is over he should finish the year strongly

    Finnius123 · 24/05/2017 at 12:08

Joel every day of the week

    whatyasmokin · 24/05/2017 at 12:17

Like both almost equally. Selwood due to low ownership.

SCdonkey · 24/05/2017 at 12:09

I know it's the eve before the byes, it seems the best option to do this week is to downgrade (corrective) to a bubble rookies or even go early on 2nd gamer Rookies. Free up some cash for premos during/after the byes. I might even end up having full premos/keepers by the end of byes and will probably have 10 trades left to play with for the remainder of the season.

Thomas · 24/05/2017 at 12:18

Just found out Sandi is out this week, which stuffs up my trades. Ryder was on my radar, but as a fwd who can swing into the ruck. Should i bring in Ryder for Sandi and swing him fwd in round 12 when Stef comes back, or bring in Stef this week and ignore Ryder. I still believe Ryder can be a top 8 fwd, who provides a handy swingset. Which one please community?

    whatyasmokin · 24/05/2017 at 12:24

So if you do that trade and swing Ryder into the rucks, you won't have enough forwards this week?

      Thomas · 24/05/2017 at 12:31

Sorry mate didnt explain it well enough. If i bring Ryder in for Sandi this week. He stays in my ruck until round 12, where i will swing him forward and bring in Stef martin. If i bring in Stef Martin, I could bring Ryder in next week, or just ignore him all together.

        whatyasmokin · 24/05/2017 at 12:37

Ryder has a lower BE and will increase in value more than Stef, and can play through all the byes. Grab stef after the bye for sure. I also agree with Ryder being a very possibly top 8 forward this year. Lone wolf rucks are getting it done.

    FCAbel · 24/05/2017 at 16:05

Been weighing up the same options. Leaning towards Sandi for Ryder and Stef after bye.

TheGreatBozza · 24/05/2017 at 12:27

What are people's thoughts on Sandi? I started him with the view to upgrade later on, however he is putting up decent numbers. I do have cover in Nank however that means playing a Hannan or Parsons on field. I'm leaning to holding Sandi however the option to bring in a Goldy or a premo FWD via Nank is tempting.

    whatyasmokin · 24/05/2017 at 12:31

I'd hold him unless going for rank still.

      TheGreatBozza · 24/05/2017 at 12:34

I'm more focused on leagues now, so I'll most likely hold. I need to score some wins over the byes as I've dropped to 6th from 10 in the league, despite scoring the 3rd most points

Imgonnalose · 24/05/2017 at 12:28

        Mad Mike · 24/05/2017 at 13:16

And pretty useless at Supercoach unfortunately. More a DT player sadly, as Jock is finding out after talking him up all preseason.

          Moustachio · 24/05/2017 at 19:47

          The bitterness is palpable.

        INPieman · 24/05/2017 at 13:46

If I trade Sandi it will be to Goldy. But I'd rather not. He's Av 96

          Rick Grimes · 24/05/2017 at 14:13

Hopefully spud Parson holds his spot for another week as i can swing Nanky forward. But gee I can't wait to get that guy out of my starting line up.

            INPieman · 24/05/2017 at 14:28

Nakia Cockatoo doing his hammy may help Parsons stay in the team

Terry · 24/05/2017 at 12:36

Eddy probavly needs the entire Port forward line to fall over before he gets a look in so he will be dead weight over the byes no ifs or buts about it. πŸ™

    Keith · 24/05/2017 at 12:51

About the only thing Eddy will be good for this season is as a captain option although Derek please make sure he isn't listed as an emergency next time. πŸ˜‰

Keith · 24/05/2017 at 12:44

Ryder stocks just went through the roof the past hour.

Mitch · 24/05/2017 at 13:18

Just be thankful that we got 9 good games out him peeps and he's made the vast bulk of the cash he was ever going to make for us.

Doggy · 24/05/2017 at 13:48

As much as I love the podcasts, I just can't take their advice too seriously. Jock avacadoing lynch as a forward, only because he's stuck with him and doesn't want to be the only one with the spud scores. Higgo won't recommend anyone who's gone up in price, because it means someone else bought them cheaper??? rank and league wins have nothing to do with team value.

    walter · 24/05/2017 at 13:59

Yeah its hard to find value amongst all the jokes, i dont listen to them anymore but i love the website because of all the tips/news from the community.

    Rick Grimes · 24/05/2017 at 14:11

Lynch is still a good pick. Could pick him up pretty cheap and we saw early in the year that with good service he can kick big bags. There's a reason he was amongst the top forwards last year. I reckon 95-105 average from hereon out is very possible.

As for not buying at an advanced price, of course that's prudent. If you pay top dollar for every premo you're not gonna make it to full premo this year, imo. Yes player X might be killing it at $600k, but if player Y has the potential to match his future output and is $500k, why wouldn't you go there. Your competitior is spending $100k more for the same output – crazy.

      Doggy · 24/05/2017 at 16:27

I get when there's a price difference, but most of the time they are comparing similar priced players. If a players on the way up Higgs won't recommend them if they've already had an increase, no matter how slight.

      Tyruddanaut · 24/05/2017 at 20:38

He's talking about the cheap ones like Harbrow who are good options but have risen in price

    INPieman · 24/05/2017 at 14:23

When the 29 cycles out of his system Lynch could be a nice cheap very good option. But not an option for this week

      Holty · 24/05/2017 at 17:14

Agreed pieman. If all works out, ill be trading parsons for him in rd12.

    redherringfc · 24/05/2017 at 17:13

Every now and again they give little nuggets (of the gold variety). Pedersen 2 weeks ago as an example, but only made it into 1.2% of teams that week. Pumped out two 100+ scores since, gone up 70k, hopefully 150k by the time a real ruck returns. This weeks nugget is S Selwood, just not sure if it will be gold or brown.

    Moustachio · 24/05/2017 at 19:46

Lynch is probably the most talented key forward in the game. They usually argue both sides of most players so you can make your own decision instead of following the shoal.

    Hoot · 24/05/2017 at 20:07

I doubt the traffic the JR podcasts get are due to their unique SC trading advice. This can be found anywhere online or independently with 15 mins and some common sense. It's the wit and humor that sets them apart from the rest. If anything, these discussion forums are key.

My point is.. listen…. enjoy…. make your own educated decisions.

Rick Grimes · 24/05/2017 at 14:14

Is there any chance Strain-dicker gets a call up for Sandi?

    Finnius123 · 24/05/2017 at 14:17

Probably be Griffin ahead of him. He has also already played a few games this year.

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 24/05/2017 at 14:27

Unfortunately Ross mentioned will bring in Griffen so think he will get the gig.

    Sana · 24/05/2017 at 14:40

He's strictly a loophole player. Ross wouldn't mess with that…

      Tyruddanaut · 24/05/2017 at 20:37

You must know how much Ross loves his SuperCoach

    Eric · 24/05/2017 at 14:51

Would need to get upgraded from the rookie list which is not gonna happen merely to cover someone out for likely only one game.

    Tyruddanaut · 24/05/2017 at 20:36

He had a good run on the weekend. There's always a chance

wightyswarriors · 24/05/2017 at 14:43

Ryder, Nank, Sandi….beautiful !!!

Top hawk · 24/05/2017 at 15:02

I knew it was only a matter of time before Sandi starts to break down physically. Looks like Nank will moved to the ruck this week. Strad on the bench up forward. Might have to move on Butler if he is not picked.

DaBies · 24/05/2017 at 15:19

Downgrade rookie options for Forwards this week community? Still have on the pine B Eddy and J. Pickett (for swing option)

Stewart (ave. 71, b.e -42) or McInnes (ave. 66.5, b.e -41) are on the bubble

Greenwood and Bolton have played one game

Kyle · 24/05/2017 at 16:13

Sandi throws a real spanner in the works this week. Reversed all my trades. New trades are to avoid a donut. Swap nank into ruck and move strndika forward. Marchbank out for howe and going early on greenwood. Trading out teia miles(yes i still have that spud:/) if parsons is dropped tho im stuffed and will cop a donut anyway.

Next week bring in selwood and the week after hopefully the bont

Joshua · 24/05/2017 at 16:50

If I downgrade Marchbank to McInnes I can trade out Otten for a defender 592,000 or less. I don't have Adams so should I get him in or look cheaper for a Harbrow or Rance.

    Real Talk · 24/05/2017 at 16:52

Depends on your bye structure really, if adams fits yours then he's a must have top 6 def.

    Smart Bart · 24/05/2017 at 17:47

I'd avoid McInnes. Even if he survives with Petrie expected back this week the final death knell will occur when Lycett is ready to play in about a fortnight.

      Lazza · 24/05/2017 at 18:43

Petrie very unlikely to come back in for sometime … hasn't played for 8 weeks … will go via WAFL and will stay there if Lycett comes back anytime soon.
McInnes is NOT in the team as a ruckman…

    Lazza · 24/05/2017 at 18:41

Adams … no brainer … will be top 6 DEF … get him in

DefyingMadness · 24/05/2017 at 16:58

Any news on the cheat sheet or is it delayed again?

Steve · 24/05/2017 at 17:05

Sandi to Ryder
Otten to Harbrow

Thoughts community?

    Kyle · 24/05/2017 at 17:47

I would try my best to hold sandi a bit longer. At this stage its only 1 week

    Moustachio · 24/05/2017 at 19:44

    Harbrow is a trap.

      Cogla13 · 25/05/2017 at 11:09

      Yep Hanley is back soon.

Luke · 24/05/2017 at 17:14

Hi All
Current Team:
Def: Adams, Laird, Doch, Otten, Marchbank, Newman (Berry, Stewart)
Mid: Danger, Bont, Oliver, Fyfe, JPK, Treloar, Beams, SPP (Barrett, Myers, Fisher)
Ruc: Witts, Sandi (Strnadica)
Fwd: Nan, Dahl, Greene, Buddy, Heeney, Lynch (Parsons, Eddy)

Have 16 trades left with $112.4k in the bank.

Only planning to trade Marchbank out this week with McIness coming in if named.
Any other ideas are very welcomed as well

    lok · 24/05/2017 at 17:58

no nank? Good luck fixing the Sandiman

      lok · 24/05/2017 at 17:59

oh nvm you have him ahead of dahl. I reckon you should upgrade otten/march to a rance.

Terry · 24/05/2017 at 17:41

Just saw there is a NRL section on here, left them a little message on my way back to the real game πŸ˜‰

    pod · 24/05/2017 at 17:55

    How are the bum sniffers?

Rick Grimes · 24/05/2017 at 17:47

The more I look at it, the more I think Sandy is a trade out this week. I can get Greenwood in and swing Nanky forward. Upgrade Hampton to Rance and pocket $140k. The other option is McInnes but I feel there's a couple of better def rookies on the horizon. Decisions decisions

    Lazza · 24/05/2017 at 18:47

Apart from Perryman, who are the better DEF options that the rest of us can't see?

      Moustachio · 24/05/2017 at 19:43

Scharenberg and Ryan killing the 2's

        Rick Grimes · 25/05/2017 at 06:51

Yea that's what i was referring to. Surely one or both get a run soon. My def line is complete, so I'm looking for the best cash generator to sit on the bench. McInnes maybe a bit slow burning for my likes.

          Cogla13 · 25/05/2017 at 11:06

He might get dropped this week for Petrie. They are coming off a big loss so expect changes. Reckon Sharenberg gets named this week.

Eve · 24/05/2017 at 17:53

Only 27k. Trade options, Byes in mind. Already swung Nank into Ruck.
DEF: Adams, Shaw, Tuohy, Otten, Marchbank, Newmann (Berry, Hibberd)
MED: Danger, Pendles, JJK, Fyfe, Merrett, Beams, Taranto, P-Pepper (Balic, Myers, Barrett)
RUC: Nank, Martin (Sandi)
FWD: JJK, Buddy, Dahlhaus, Macrae, Roughy, Parsons (Eddy, Strnadica)
Cheers for your input.

    DefyingMadness · 24/05/2017 at 17:56

    Fix up your defenders asap

      Tyruddanaut · 24/05/2017 at 20:34

I don't see anything wrong with it. I have 3 on field rookies myself with Laird, Doch and Adams. The best thing he could do is throw Marchbank

        Eve · 24/05/2017 at 21:49

Carlton have the bye next week, so had planned on something there for Marchbank.
I really need to make Marchbank a downgrade? Do you agree and hold Otten until his bye?
What are your thoughts on Balic and Eddy, do they need to go this week, or focus on Marchbank

          Tyruddanaut · 24/05/2017 at 22:12

Marchbank should be a downgrade unless you are considering Harbrow. In which go for it. He had the handy R9 bye.
I'm not sure the purpose to hold Otten until his bye. If you trade him for someone more bye friendly it's a win. I'm not going to thoroughly regard every detail of you team for byes BUT the pattern shows that R12 is a nice round for the people. Consider McInnes in Defense. He is possibly the pick of the week with the second lowest BE of players on the bubble.
Leave Eddy unless you need to trade him to get a full team. He is too cheap and will not resolve in cash generation. Balic on the other hand is a nice amount of cash that would allow you to steepen your upgrade target price. I would trade him next week though.

So, Focus on Marchbank – Trade for McInnes or Harbrow
Otten as your next trade IF it benefits your bye structure
          Balic out next week

Mark O'connor Dropped!

JJF · 24/05/2017 at 18:29

Adams or look for value in defence? He does suit my bye structure.

    Ja191 · 24/05/2017 at 18:39

    adams yes yes, must have

    Lazza · 24/05/2017 at 18:49

You have to have Adams at some point … if it fits lock him in, and lthrow away the key … then you can focus on the rest of your team.

      JJF · 24/05/2017 at 19:04

Same can be said about Doc tho but people shy away because he is pretty much 600k. Many didn't start with him, I was one of the lucky few who did.

        Kyle · 24/05/2017 at 20:01

Difference is that adams is a lot cheaper than the doc lol

        Dean · 25/05/2017 at 23:28

Doc has only gone up $700 in price since Round 1 – The one's who started with him means you have received the points which is the whole point, however those who bring him in post bye will still be paying the same price those who brought him in from the start.
So I don't understand why people would shy away from him considering he has proven himself to be the #1 defender yet his price is still the same as it was in Round 1 at least those who get him in round 12 know he's not going to do a HEATER on them.
Mark my word everyone will have him after his bye, those who don't are STUPID.

Doesn't matter as long as he plays well

    Lazza · 24/05/2017 at 18:55

Geelong still searching …. any rookie starting with the Cats probably has the least JS of any team … including Lynn's… this kid is injury prone … has come off two injury prone years… won't go anywhere near him..

INPieman · 24/05/2017 at 18:32

If that's your only issue, your doing very well.

Trade Eddy. Enough is enough.

Dean · 24/05/2017 at 19:59

It's not often SC does my head in, but this week it is something chronic. So I will add as much info as possible to see what Jock, Higgo, Crouching and the rest of the community can suggest. HELP NEEDED PLEASE!!!

My current bye structure is:
Round 11
9 players out are: (Marchbank, Newman, Bont, Barrett, Fisher, Macrae, Dahlhaus, Franklin, Heeney)
Round 12
6 players out are: (Stewart, EVW, Danger, Nank, Yeo, Parsons)
Round 13
13 players out are: (Laird, Shaw, McGrath, Hampton, Titch, Sloane, Pendls, Fyfe, Myers, Sandilands, Strnadica, WHE)

HERE IS MY TEAM AS IT STANDS & I have $198k in the kitty.
DEF: Laird, Shaw, Marchbank, McGrath, Newman, Hampton (Stewart, EVW)
MID: Titch, Danger, Sloane, Bont, Pendles, Heppell, Fyfe, Pepper (Barrett, Fisher, Myers)
RUCK: Sandi, Nank (Strnadica)
FWD: Yeo, Macrae, Dahlhaus, Franklin, Heeney, WHE (Parsons, Eddy)

Trade 1: Trade out WHE & bring in Goldy – Firstly this suites my bye structure and I like what Goldy has done of late, by doing this it allow's me to have Nank & Goldy in the ruck this week seeing Sandilands is out. The positive is Nank will then be my last Premo forward, however the negative is I will have to take Parsons score this week regardless.
Note: Obviously I would prefer to bring in S Martin over Goldy but due to Martin's bye in round 13 it doesn't work well, due to all my players out in round 13.

Trade 2: Trade out Marchbank for McInnes – I'm going to hope Stewart scores 70+ and will take that by keeping Hampton on field and if Stewart scores poorly I will then swap Hampton to Vickery-Willis.
The positive I know Hampton won't lose me cash where as Marchbank most likely will seeing his breakeven is now 97 – The negative means my Defence will be:- Laird, Shaw, McGrath, Newman Stewart and either McInnes or EVW score. If I do this I will have $281k in the kitty.

Or I could trade out Hampton for Mcinnes and keep Marchbank on field for another week and my defence will be:- Laird, Shaw, Marchbank, McGrath, Newman, Stewart (McInnes, EVW) – If I do this I will have $181k in the kitty.

Or are there other options I should consider that I'm overlooking? All suggestions seriously appreciated in a big way community.
Thanks in advance.

    Terry · 24/05/2017 at 20:03

Havn't finished reading it all yet, up to chapter 2.

      Dean · 24/05/2017 at 20:37

Sorry mate – Tried to add as much info Re: Bye structure and so forth to make things easier but I hear you, its quite a long comment.

        Terry · 24/05/2017 at 20:59

All good mate, Just havin a laugh. Not sure if your 'Trade 1'' option works? how did you get nank in the ruck if you only traded out WHE

          Terry · 24/05/2017 at 21:01

ahh just saw stange dicka, yep all good. Ive still got d.cameron waiting for him to get a game haha

    Derek · 24/05/2017 at 20:59

Hampton to McInnes and Eddy to Ryder

      Derek · 24/05/2017 at 21:08

      Sorry my maths didn't work

    Tyruddanaut · 24/05/2017 at 22:15

Marchbank has the early bye and a high BE. Trade.
With the extra cash you should get Adams, a top 6 Def this year.
Then if you have enough Eddy to McInnes. If not WHE out

      Dean · 24/05/2017 at 22:38

Yeah that works however if I bring in Adams now then I have Adams who also has the bye in Round 13, which would then increase my non playing players from 13 to 14 in round 13

If I done that I would prefer to hold the cash and bring in Docherty in Round 12

I need to have Goldy or some ruck to cover Sandilands absence and by doing so Nank will be my final forward.

what do people think about Sandi to Goldy (I have Nank swing) – want an edge in league. Sandi/Gold same B/E worry re: Sandi's length out and has generated 140 oddk

is the trade worth it? He's only out for one week.
    I'm holding Sandi

It's a waste if he's only out for a week but that's a big IF. Don't trust Ross Lyin and Sandi could be out until after the bye for all we know. I'm wrestling with the decision myself

can anyone throw any suggestions at me please. this is my team. I am stuck on what to do this week and with byes coming up.
Backline – Docherty, Laird, Montagna, McGrath, Williamson, Vickers Willis – Emergency – Hampton and HIbberd
Midfield – Ablett, Dangerfield, T. Adams, Fyfe, Hannebery, Crouch, Treloar, Petreski-Seton Emergency Powell pepper, Myers, ainsworth
Forward- Yeo, Dahlhaus, Macrae, Hoskin-elliot, T Green, Toranto Emergency Balic, Eddy
I really am stumped on who to trade and who not too. should I risk bringing Mcinnes or Greenwood in as a downgrade? HELP PLEASE! I need to beat my work colleague ha

    – Greenwood you bring in next week when he's on the bubble

You can downgradew williamson to mcinnes, and then upgrade hoskin elliot to a premo fwd:
    – JJK
    – Franklin

Or on the flip side you could downgrade Hoskin elliot to Greenwood and then upgrade Williamson to:
    – Rance
    – Simpson
    – Shaw

Need a few suggestions, stuck on what to do this week:

Doc, Laird, Tuohy, Shaw, Marchbank, Newman (berry, mcreadie)

Bont, Hanners, Danger, Pendles, Martin, Fyfe, Taranto, Barrett (powell pepper, fisher, myers)

Grundy, Sandi ( preuss)

Dahl, Yeo, Franklin, Nank, Hannan, Parsons (Butler, Balic)

To much to fix with limited trades..

Maybe trade Preuss to a ruck/fwd rookie so you can swing Nank to cover Sandi. Need to get rid of Balic also.
