Supercoach RD7: LekDog’s Cheat Sheet

Published by Lekdog on

G’day Community, what a terrible week it was.

If you told me before lockout that Selwood, Fyfe, Beams, Dangerfield, JPK, Treloar, Rockliff, Dahlhaus, Zorko, Merrett, Wines, Murphy, Nankervis and Goldstein would all fail to post scores of 90 points or more, I would have slapped you right in the gob to try and fix your brain.Β Yet here I am writing the Cheat Sheet for Round 7 and I am disgusted by the scores our premiums posted during Round 6.

So what do we focus on this week? Rookies, value picks and holding onto our under performing premiums.

In terms of rookies I’ve excluded Ben McNiece from the sheet because I don’t like his job security. Essendon will be looking to fit in any number of Stanton, Leuenberger, Francis, Myers and Kelly this week and i feel like McNiece could be one of the players to make room for them.

Before you all ask, yes I think that you can still bring Balic into your side despite his price having risen.

All of the value picks I’ve highlighted in the Cheat Sheet are players who have fallen in price since the start of the season or they are capable of easily outscoring their current price point.

Finally, i wouldn’t be trading out any under performing premiums until at least their bye round (if at all). Several hundred coaches traded out with Gary Ablett or Scott Pendlebury last week and those blokes went on to score 210 and 149 respectively.

I’d like to thank our sponsor Fantasy InsiderΒ for helping Lekdog’s Puppies score over 2,000 in a terrible weekend of footy. Make sure you check out their free trial offer and of course if you don’t like the service you can just cancel it at anytime. Fantasy Insider basically analyses your side and makes suggestions on who to play during any given round. very useful particularly if you don’t have the 20 hours a week to pump into Supercoach that I do.

See you in the comments, Lekdog

Bont, Pendles, Cripps or Heppell? Who do i bring in for jaeger with plenty of cash in the bank

    bob the builder · 03/05/2017 at 10:32

If you dont have a plan to bring in pendles next week get him now πŸ™‚

      NickMacMan · 03/05/2017 at 10:43

with a breakeven of 124 should i hold off one more week and instead go another money making rookie?

        LoganJosh7 · 03/05/2017 at 10:53

        thats what im doing πŸ™‚

        Steven Jurica · 03/05/2017 at 11:00

A plucky young midfielder from the pies by the name of Scott Pendlebury.

        Danners · 03/05/2017 at 14:40

Not many rookies around next week so making cash may be wise

        Tyruddanaut · 03/05/2017 at 20:22

Yep. Hope and pray he goes under

    Jacob · 03/05/2017 at 11:05

Hard to answer without completely knowing your situation Nick. If you're not too fussed with overall position and think you can win your league game this week without him, Pendles can definitely wait a week. Next week cows look non existent at this stage so picking up a Vickers Willis or a Parsons might be a smart move

    Fan · 03/05/2017 at 17:33

Thanks lekdog great effort mate enjoy it every week

    redherringfc · 03/05/2017 at 17:54

Pendles. if he goes 150 again his price rises a fair bit. I've made one trade this week, Parfitt out, Pendles in.

Brushy · 03/05/2017 at 10:34

Curtly to hibberd silly ?

    Jacob · 03/05/2017 at 11:09

No not silly at all Brushy. It's a real 50/50. I don't think he is that much underpriced though if you consider Shaw and Simpson are around 490k

    FCAbel · 03/05/2017 at 18:10

    Good punt

    Tyruddanaut · 03/05/2017 at 20:23

    About right

LoganJosh7 · 03/05/2017 at 10:34

Theres so much green! i thought he was suspended?

    John H · 03/05/2017 at 12:04

    20/10 comment of the day

JayBee · 03/05/2017 at 10:47

Painting the fence this week. I can afford to bring in Sloane so should I?

    LoganJosh7 · 03/05/2017 at 10:51

do it next week when theres no rookies on offer i reckon.

    Steven Jurica · 03/05/2017 at 10:59

Buy high and sell low, that's the name of the game.

      Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 22:31

Buy high and sell low?….yeah thanks for that bud, really good advice, don't you mean the opposite of what you said?

    JoshA · 03/05/2017 at 11:01

its worth considering but surely he'll have to drop at least a bit of cash at somepoint throughout the year-worst time to bring in a premo is after 5 consectutive 120+ scores I'd say

    Tyruddanaut · 03/05/2017 at 20:25

Bloody hell you can't be that stupid. There is nowhere near enough cash generation this year to justify that. You will have to get many under 500k. Probably too much! Look at the long run benefits mate not the short term

    JayBee · 05/05/2017 at 07:47

Na not stupid Tyruddanaut… just odd hahaha. 500K in bank and seriously thinking with Beams history he'll be more than 2 weeks out so Beams to Sloane. would prefer pendles but doesnt work into my bye strategy

    JayBee · 05/05/2017 at 07:52

Dusty sorry, havent had my coffee this morning

    TheScacman · 05/05/2017 at 08:37

Sloane will eventually have a score in the 90s which will mean over a 3 week period he'll fall somewhere between 30 and 50K, even more if he gets a 70/80. Wait to bring him in till he falls closer to 600K

Steven Jurica · 03/05/2017 at 10:58

How is Goldstein possibly a buy? High breakeven, poor form over the first 6 rounds, not even one good game and Preuss potentially comes back in to share the ruck. Come on Lek, you're better than that.

    INPieman · 03/05/2017 at 11:27

From what I've seen picking Goldy would be a massive gamble. I got rid of him before his price crashed. He's injured & Preuss doesn't help him. I'd steer clear for the time being

    LEKD0G · 06/05/2017 at 16:44

    Scored 110, welcome

KSinny · 03/05/2017 at 11:02

Butler down to Parsons and Marchbank/Otten down to Melican?

    Dusty Spurs · 03/05/2017 at 12:14

Basically the same thing I am considering, except Parfitt to Parsons.

Otten is meant to make more cash this week, and has had higher scores, but…. now Jenkins is back I'm worried Ottens scores will drop, he got a 44 & a 65 in the two full games Jenkins played.

      Kev · 03/05/2017 at 12:21

Does McVeigh back equal trouble for Melican? (or even Newman…)

        Johnny Bee · 03/05/2017 at 14:07

Kev I'd say more trouble for Newman than Melican. In his post game interview horse gave Melican a rap as well as a few other youngsters but he didn't mention Newman

      redherringfc · 03/05/2017 at 17:57

      spot on with otten.

Cold_Case · 03/05/2017 at 11:09

After a bit of advice. I've got 812k in the bank. But i reckon i need to rotate 4 more rookies through my team to get cash for full premo. Should i double downgrade this week? Just not sure how many more rookies will surface from here on besides Myers. Means i will have 1.1 mil in the bank for upgrades.

    INPieman · 03/05/2017 at 11:14

A 1.1mil bank. Your making Crouching look like a cheap skate. With an existing 812k bank I don't think you have any need for a double down grade. Your reasonably flush with cash as is. Start spending

      Cold_Case · 03/05/2017 at 11:18

Ok. Just hope there's more rookies coming. Might paint the fence l. Thanks

    LoganJosh7 · 03/05/2017 at 11:24

go for parsons as a downgrade then your next 3 this week and next go premos i reckon. nice work!

    Randomcliche · 03/05/2017 at 13:29

Double down. You won't regret having the cash.

    Top Gun · 03/05/2017 at 17:32

Can i get a loan? I'm cash poor after getting Pendles in.

    Cogla13 · 04/05/2017 at 08:52

Just keep doubling down until you get to 2 million.

HID · 03/05/2017 at 11:12

    LoganJosh7 · 03/05/2017 at 11:24

    rough ez

    redherringfc · 03/05/2017 at 18:04

i went from consistent (2 times in a row is consistent, isn't it?) top 5% in weekly rankings to post 1890, around top 50%. It was a stinker of a round, having Rocky's 53 as captain says it all. Your premos will bounce back, but i think you need to get rid of roughy. All the others can stay another week or two.

      Tyruddanaut · 03/05/2017 at 20:27

I'm pretty sure I've been more consistent than you
      Last 3 rounds

    Campbell · 03/05/2017 at 21:38

    trade roughy

Jacob · 03/05/2017 at 11:12

Correct if im wrong, but wouldn't Parsons more likely come into the side for Black?? And Menzel would replace Parfitt? I see Parsons more as a taller 3rd tall type like Black. Parfitt getting injured shouldn't increase his JS right?

Finnius123 · 03/05/2017 at 11:13

Thoughts on Jeremy Mcgovern Lekdog?

    INPieman · 03/05/2017 at 11:44

Putting up some very good numbers & his bye round is handy. Could be a nice POD to have

    John · 03/05/2017 at 11:52

Shhh he's coming into my team this week!

    Pablo · 03/05/2017 at 15:38

On my watch very closely list.

    LEKD0G · 04/05/2017 at 15:16

Was a buy last week, still stands this week

    Seeker · 05/05/2017 at 10:00

Brought him in last week on the back of Lekdog's Cheat Sheet Spent $455k with 55 BE, scored 122 made $29k and still has a BE of only 69. Bargain Premo POD, plays back many intercept marks, can go forward and kicks goals, also spent time in ruck.

Cold_Case · 03/05/2017 at 11:23

I read on fanfooty that sloane had his knee iced up on the weekend. Anyone see that? If true i wonder if they may rest him in the next couple of weeks. They have north, melb and then brisbane. Edit: Just read it was a corkie.

    DavidSA · 03/05/2017 at 11:41

    Sloane will be fine

    Kev · 03/05/2017 at 12:23

They were up by 70 odd points. Why keep him out there for a corkie. He's fine

Tommo · 03/05/2017 at 11:30

Parfitt and Marchbank -> Parsons and Williams leaving $270k in the bank?

    Tyruddanaut · 03/05/2017 at 20:28

I don't like the thought of double downgrade. But whatever floats your boat

      hedski · 03/05/2017 at 21:02

      Think Tommo mean Zac Williams

Banga · 03/05/2017 at 11:37

I'm gonna try post this again, 3rd time lucky

Hey guys, this is my first year of supercoach so first year of dealing with the bye. Working out my bye structure. Would love some help regarding what to do. Below is my team and bye structure. I have also included rookies in the bye structure which is probably not needed, but helps me get a better idea and so i know if i need to trade rookies out before their bye round

Def: Adams, Laird, Simmo, Otten, Marchbank, Newman (Hampton, Stewart)
Mid: Danger, Bont, Pendles, Fyfe, JPK, Treloar, Beams, SPP (Balic (DPP), Barratt, Fisher)
Ruc: Grundy, Sandi (Strnadica (DPP))
Fwd: Dahl (DPP), Macrae (DPP), Buddy, Butler, Houston, Parsons (Hannan, Eddy)

Round 11: (Def: 1 premo, 2 rookies / Mid: 3 premo, 2 rookies / Fwd: 3 premos, 1 rookie
Round 12: Def: 0 premo, 1 rookie / mid: 1 premo, 0 rookies / fwd: 0 premos, 2 rookies
Round 13: Def: 2 premos, 2 rookies / mid: 3 premos, 1 rookie / Ruc: 2 premos, 0 rookies / 0 premos, 1 rookie)

TL;DR: Need some help as to how i should deal with the byes. Structure abive indicates players out on each line as of right now. Any advice would be great!

    Kev · 03/05/2017 at 12:33

There's two ways to go about this, Banga. Try to balance it out or throw a week. As it stands now round 11 is your worst so try to target players from those clubs that will miss that week. Your score will be crap but you can be reasonably strong for the other two weeks.

Alternatively upgrade your rooks from round 11/13 to round 12 bye players in the hope that across the 3 weeks your scores will be similar.

      Banga · 03/05/2017 at 12:45

Cheers Kev! Going for rank so throwing a week probably isnt smart. Hopefully rookies from the round 12 bye pop up soon.
Also. was going to trade in Bont this week, but after looking at my bye structure, is it still a good idea?

        Kev · 03/05/2017 at 13:05

Yeah, exactly. As much as you can plan for the byes it's really dictated by who is available.

If you're going for rank then Selwood would be a better option than Bont

        Randomcliche · 03/05/2017 at 13:34

There are a couple of rnd 12 rookies this week. Get them in for rnd 11 chumps. Look to swing rnd 13 players out into post bye players and make some cash in the process. Enjoy!

    dom · 03/05/2017 at 12:39

        dom · 03/05/2017 at 20:09

I believe Supercoach is a journey which one must battle and overcome as individual and free earth spirit. I discovered this notion while hiking up mount Yerupaja in June 2009.. I began by quietly following a herd of wild mountain goat for the first week then navigating the night sky by using Jupiters moons, I survived on a mixture of shiitake mushrooms, beaver soup and 7/11 egg and mayo snaggers. 3 weeks later I reached the peak, consumed 4 bowels of ayahuasca and began to play the flute, 16 hours in I had a moment…. an epiphany if you will. The clouds of my mind opened to reveal a great a powerful piece of knowledge. I could hear Rex Hunt whispering 'Yibbida Yibbida' in my ear as my mind was filled with this blissful piece of wisdom. 'What is this great wisdom he speaks of?', you're probably asking yourself? Well my friend.. listen carefully…………. The question itself is the knowledge and the knowledge is the question. Find the knowledge to ask the right question but don't forget to ask the questions to find the knowledge, this in turn will give you the right answers to the question that you'll get from the knowledge that you got from asking right the question, … in other words… hold all your round 13 bye cows and convert them into stallions during the byes, mean while get Robbie Gray and Gazza after ports/GC bye and become a Supercoach POD GOD. Pop the C during the byes on either to mixed it up, you'll then go on to take the 50k, go to Vegas and spend it all on coke, hookers and blueberry pop tarts. Good luck mate!

          Tyruddanaut · 03/05/2017 at 20:30

          Exactly my thoughts, Dom!

iLoveNMFC · 03/05/2017 at 11:47

Downgrade Otten to EVW and play Balic on field.
Downgrade Otten to Parsons and play him on field.

    FCAbel · 03/05/2017 at 18:11

    Balic on field

LoganJosh7 · 03/05/2017 at 11:56

Comes down to Shaw or Hibberd for me.

    LoganJosh7 · 03/05/2017 at 11:58

that being said i could wait wait a week on hampton/otten/marchbank and then purchase a slightly more expensive Shaw/hibberd next week?

    Option 1 or 2? πŸ™‚

      Cold_Case · 03/05/2017 at 12:25

I'm going Hibberd for the bye structure. Shaws R13 bye sucks. If you are going Hibberd go this week, at least if he spuds it up from now on he should make some money.

    FCAbel · 03/05/2017 at 18:12

If brining both in bring in Hibberd this week

pod · 03/05/2017 at 11:59

Wingard playing in the guts, can he go top 6 fwds?

    Keenbutclueless · 03/05/2017 at 12:04

He said this week that he was playing more mid last week because Boak was out and that he was looking forward to resuming his mostly forward role.

      pod · 03/05/2017 at 12:13

Seems crazy to move him out anytime after his performance in the middle. Boak can still fit in there as the hard ball get guy, but Wingards skills need to be in the centre to deliver to Robbie and co.

    Danners · 03/05/2017 at 14:43

He could, it seems Gray is purely playing forward

    SF4 · 03/05/2017 at 16:57

He will find his way back into the fwd line when Boak is back + they played Brisbane last week, Didn't really have a direct opponent.

    Top Gun · 03/05/2017 at 17:40

Boak will return soon so Wingard will no doubt be inconsistent again in the fwds

Declan · 03/05/2017 at 12:06

Love some help on my team. Had a mare last week as most seemed to have.

Def: Laird Howe, Simmo, Otten Marchbank, Newman (McNiece, Stewart)
Mid: Danger, Titch, Fyfe, Treloar, Murphy, SPP, Taranto Balic (Barrett, Fisher, hibberd)
Ruck: Grundy Sandi (Cameron)
Fwd: Dahl Macrae Buddy Higgins Nank, Houston (Butler, Eddy)

Currently have 22 trades and 768k after I made my trades.

Trades Next week:
Out: houston/butler and Otten
In Bont and Pendles

Would love feedback about any problems with team and structure?

    dom · 03/05/2017 at 12:45

Pendles and Bont, thats what I call bang bang. Your team looks as solid as my rod while watching the Brazilian Volleyball Championships.

    Tyruddanaut · 03/05/2017 at 20:36

Solid team… but Bont and Pendles are both very pricy. With minimal expenditure this year, we must look at a lower premo price. Someone, sorry if you see this but I forgot your name, wrote a comment saying we should have an average premium cost of approximately 517k. With one at 600k+ and the other 570k+ you may only be able to spend 480k on your remaining premiums

    Tyruddanaut · 03/05/2017 at 20:37

Also Baltic for Dahl/Macrae and butler on field

pete · 03/05/2017 at 12:26

keep Watson and ward or move them on

    Richo · 03/05/2017 at 16:43

I have ward and feel his let me down.
I'm giving him a few more weeks to prove his worth.. Friday night under the lights might be all it takes to spark him into form. Has a round 13 bye which helps him stay in my team.

    Tyruddanaut · 03/05/2017 at 20:38

Keep them til the byes. I have had horrible experiences(already this season I have had 2) where players forms dramatically improve

    pod · 04/05/2017 at 07:21

I can't believe you have both of them. Dump them asap.

Boltons Blues · 03/05/2017 at 12:37

Was going to paint the fence this week, but we need more cash generation
So im going Hampton to Melican and Eddy to Parson, leaving me 650k for Shaw/Laird/Pendles/Other Fallen premo over the next 2 weeks as the rookies look a real struggle with only Myers looking like the next option pending selection

Saundo · 03/05/2017 at 12:42

Don't tell me Zac Fisher has hurt himself?

    Declan · 03/05/2017 at 12:52

Yeah he is a test but likely to miss 1 week

      Steeeve · 03/05/2017 at 16:25

Likely to miss the rest of the season based on last week's form

Ryan · 03/05/2017 at 12:43

Get rid of Butler, Bowes or Houston for Parsons?

Adcock & Swallow · 03/05/2017 at 12:52

Option 1:
IN: Hibberd OUT: Otten

Option 3:
IN: Cripps OUT: Parfitt
IN: Parsons/Heeney OUT: Matera

hmmmm thought of a double downgrade to EVW and Parsons?
will allow for HUGE double upgrade next week

    Top Gun · 03/05/2017 at 17:47

    Option 3

Westy · 03/05/2017 at 12:56

With Nank out and Cameron on my ruck bench, I currently have no ruck cover.
Suggesting Martin and Parsons in this week and depose Butler and Florent.
Have sufficient cash to cover this and then to start painting the fence with Pendles etc next week.

    Westy · 03/05/2017 at 13:06

    Actually Parfitt instead of Florent.

    FCAbel · 03/05/2017 at 18:19

    Derek · 03/05/2017 at 18:44

cameron is half a chance to play this week

Rick Grimes · 03/05/2017 at 12:58

I'm holding Roughy another week. I want to get Kade in and I figure he'll gain more in value than Rough will lose. The guy is due to kick a bag….waaaaay over due.

    Saundo · 03/05/2017 at 14:00

Yeah I said that last week! Not again, traded to McRae!

      Rick Grimes · 03/05/2017 at 17:40

      I'm a glutton for punishment.

    Top Gun · 03/05/2017 at 17:48

Only bag he might kick would be a supermarket bag

Benjamin B · 03/05/2017 at 13:06

Thoughts on Butler to Shaun McKernan? Dont make any money initially but hes set to sky rocket over next few weeks?

How is his JS?

    Benjamin B · 03/05/2017 at 13:16

Ill obviously wait till teams are announced – id say he should be back.

      Dice · 03/05/2017 at 14:01

      I hope he's bloody back.
Bombers need to use him as a general ruckman…leue got raped last week by a more athletic pedersen.
Probably not raped but did beat him

        Doc · 03/05/2017 at 16:51

        Leue didn't play!
Was Bellchambers that got towelled up.

          Dice · 04/05/2017 at 07:58

correct Doc. i got mixed up

bob the builder · 03/05/2017 at 13:16

Getting rid of JOM is Number 1 priority so upgrading him to Pendles.
With my second trade should i downgrade Parfitt to Parsons if named.
Or downgrade hampton to EVW/Melican.

    YoYo · 04/05/2017 at 17:59

Parfitt 100%. He's injured and Hampton has upside

Gibbs · 03/05/2017 at 13:26

Do I trade Hampton or Marchbank for kade Simpson?

    Danners · 03/05/2017 at 14:43

Marchbank, Hampton still has cash to make

      Swans2012 · 03/05/2017 at 14:54

But it's catch 22 because marchbank is the more consistent on field scoring option, for this reason I'd go hampton

FEARTHEBEARD · 03/05/2017 at 13:55

Community could use some friendly advise. In a tight one H2H though think enough to win, and still haven't lost yet. Based on current names its :

Roughhead, JOM, Lynch, Tuohy, Broomhead, Grundy, Howe, Murphy, Kelly

Dalhaus, JPK, Macrae, Docherty, Butler, Witts, Shaw, Sloane, SPP.

Question is do I bring in Pendles & Parsons/Black this week and have a small bank with Butler, Houston, Parsons, Eddy, Preuss, Fisher, SPP, Newman, Stewart, Otten, Hampton, Marchbank as cows still to cull.

or take Balic or Black & Parsons and go for Pendles next week to keep another cow to fatten up on the books while theres a few on the bubble?

    LoganJosh7 · 03/05/2017 at 16:59

hope your team is the second one…

      FEARTHEBEARD · 04/05/2017 at 09:47

      Yeh it is.

      What are your thoughts?

        Thomas · 05/05/2017 at 08:40

Mate, its not even a contest, the bottom team absolutely craps on the top team

    FEARTHEBEARD · 04/05/2017 at 10:19

Can anyone give me some feedback here please.

    Really conflicted 😐

      LoganJosh7 · 04/05/2017 at 14:22

Sorry – im going parsons/black this week because there isnt any great rookies next week PLUS pendles with a break even on 125ish isnt gonna go up much by next week. get the good rookies while you can!!

Dean · 03/05/2017 at 14:18

Is P.Cripps going to be a top 10 mid scorer from here on in or is it not the year for him ?

    pod · 03/05/2017 at 15:45

Cripps is a contested possesion machine but other parts of his game, including disposals, needs improving. He was on TV last weekend talking about improving his game. I have him so hoping he can go to another level this week!!

    Top Gun · 03/05/2017 at 17:51

I think he is undervalued and a good POD. Initially he was playing injured but now seems to be over that which is reflected in his improved scoring. I predict he will get better and better.

    jez_m · 04/05/2017 at 14:59

Interesting to note his scoring averages pre/post bye last year.

    Pre-bye: 101
Post-bye: 114 (didn't score below 118 in his last six games)

Massive POD and will get better as the season wears on.

Stinga · 03/05/2017 at 14:39

Upgrading pickett to a premium. Thoughts on who? Got about 550k to use. Don't need to use it all up. Thinking Heppell or Hannebery? Maybe even Oliver? Any advice would be great !

    macca · 03/05/2017 at 14:59

go oliver as a pod option
from what we have seen this season clayton is melbournes no 1 mid and hannebery just isnt producing

      Mark · 03/05/2017 at 15:19

Hanners for sure he has found his form. Oliver will run out of gas eventually

        KSinny · 03/05/2017 at 15:50

I agree Hanners is a proven top scorer and is now starting to find his form, can only improve from here

      KSinny · 03/05/2017 at 16:07

Hanners is much more of a pod with 8% ownership and Oliver has 20%

clarky · 03/05/2017 at 14:42

My current bye structure in terms of mid premos currently is 2-1-3. I want to bring in a premo mid this week. Do i bring in Bont which would leave it at 3-1-3, or Dusty/Jelwood, which would leave it at 2-2-3. My preferred option is bont, but would it impact my round 11 bye too much? Before bringing Bont in, my round 11 and 13 byes are heavily stacked, with it being 6-1-7 in terms of premos.
What should i do community?

Big G · 03/05/2017 at 14:44

Is Yeo the real deal?

    KSinny · 03/05/2017 at 15:51

If he stays in his new position off half back I do believe he is

    INPieman · 03/05/2017 at 15:52

    I hope not

Ken · 03/05/2017 at 15:16

Who will finish top 10 defenders?

    Derek · 03/05/2017 at 15:29

Docherty, Laird, Adams, Rance, Shaw, Simpson, Montagna, Dawson, Hodge, McGovern.

      INPieman · 03/05/2017 at 15:36

Adams, Doch, Laird, Shaw, Simmo, Howe, JJ, Joey, Rance, Zac Williams

        Dom · 03/05/2017 at 15:50

Surprised no one mentioned Roberton. He can spud every 3rd game and still make top 10.

          INPieman · 03/05/2017 at 15:53

Fair point Dom. He is dominating. I'll replace Rance with him

      Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 00:07

Dawson of the Zac variety Derek?….the greatest defender of all time?…lol

    Top Gun · 03/05/2017 at 18:04

Doch, Laird, Adams, Montagna, Roberton, Howe, McGovern, Williams, Simpson, Lloyd

DB10 · 03/05/2017 at 15:34

Who to trade melican in for? Otten Hampton or Marchbank?

    KSinny · 03/05/2017 at 15:49

Have the same problem but either Otten or Marchbank since I don't have Hampton

      Jimmy · 03/05/2017 at 15:57

My opinion is to assess who is more likely not to make their breakeven. If all three of them are fairly low, get rid of the one with the worse avg. I for one would get rid of the yoyo that is Hampton. He either scores 100 or 40

    Steeeve · 03/05/2017 at 16:15

I'm wondering the same thing. I am bringing in Simpson so will cull Marchbank at this stage, since that way I won't have both for the first bye round. But I plan to have lopped all three by then anyway…

That makes me think Otten might be better since he will free up more cash and is unlikely to put up another ton with Jenkins etc back in the side. Then again he could surprise me.
Hampton just needs one more big game. He'll net us the least cash right now and should keep getting a game…

    Such a tough one.

Jimmy · 03/05/2017 at 15:41

You are not alone, I'm with Goldy too!! Getting rid of Rough because he has had it tough!!

slats7 · 03/05/2017 at 15:59

Thoughts on Heeney community?

    pod · 03/05/2017 at 16:11

Like all Swans I need to see some form before looking at any of them. I know they'll find form but when?

    jez_m · 04/05/2017 at 15:02

I'd probably hold off until after his bye personally.

    jimmy_raiders · 04/05/2017 at 18:10

Get him next week after he pumps out 120. Will still only be around 450k

Finnius123 · 03/05/2017 at 16:04

Carnage! Beams out for two weeks with a quad! Whose holding and whose trading?

    SF4 · 03/05/2017 at 17:03

I'm trading, Beama out for a premo

      KSinny · 03/05/2017 at 17:09

      Trading out for Pendles

        Beezneez · 04/05/2017 at 11:35

Have Greene, Parfitt, Nank, Fisher & Beams out atm so need to replace one of them. Greene to Yeo was another consideration but he (Yeo) is on my no go list but may change over time but I doubt it.. Was thinking to possibly trade him (Beams) out in week 11 anyway.

Steeeve · 03/05/2017 at 16:04

Lots of people will be in this boat so I apologise if this has already been asked. But if you have to cut one, just one, of these players this week, who do you choose?
Hampton, Otten, or Marchbank?

    Steeeve · 03/05/2017 at 16:11

Wow sorry same question is right above. Unsure how to delete mine. Apologies all, sh*ts me when others do this haha

BrownlowBoy · 03/05/2017 at 16:05

Trade Beams or hold? 2 weeks the diagnosis at this stage?

    pod · 03/05/2017 at 16:09

Dump him, he'll take another 2 weeks to get fit again and maybe find some form. Time fo Pendles or Gaz.

    INPieman · 03/05/2017 at 16:20

Given his history I'd be surprised if it's only 2. It's a tough call. Not much cover about either unless some lads are called back. Probably a trade

      Derek · 03/05/2017 at 18:43

he was never a keeper. if you have him it is now time to go.

    KSinny · 03/05/2017 at 16:23

Looks like it's time to trade

    Benjamin B · 03/05/2017 at 16:30

Im going to trade, Hopefully it frees up room for Jake barrett

    DefyingMadness · 03/05/2017 at 16:43

I am thinking of waiting a week. Was planning on going double down since we won't have good rookie options for a while

      LoganJosh7 · 03/05/2017 at 17:18

      smart choice

      Crowmagnon · 03/05/2017 at 18:21

Use him in the double down, then upgrade a rookie next week. 5k is 5k.

        DefyingMadness · 03/05/2017 at 19:16

downgrading partfitt which I think is better than downgrading beams

Zee888 · 03/05/2017 at 16:09

Cripps, Heppell or Oliver?

    jez_m · 04/05/2017 at 15:02

    Tibor · 04/05/2017 at 22:29

Maybe the bloke with six straight 100+ scores, that would be oliver

Winter · 03/05/2017 at 16:13

Option 1
Double downgrade this week, Butler & Hampton out Parsons & Melican in with a double upgrade next week, Houston & Otten out Macrae & Simpson in

Option 2
One up one down, Butler & Hampton out Parsons & Simpson in with the same thing next week, Houston & Otten out Macrae and a rookie in

Option 1 gives me 2 efficient rookies but I miss the price rise on Simpson this week where as option 2 gives me Simpson before his price rice but I'm stuck on a def rookie for next week

    Dusty Spurs · 03/05/2017 at 18:28

Literally battling with the same decision. I'm thinking Option 1 as the rookie you get in (Melican) will increase in value more than Simpson, so in the end you will gain more cash from the double downgrade for trades later in the year.

Winter · 03/05/2017 at 16:16

Brisbane have just confirmed Dayne Beams will miss at least 2 weeks with a quad injury….

    KSinny · 03/05/2017 at 16:18

    Time to trade up

      Ben · 03/05/2017 at 16:38

      Tempting.. Beams to Pendlebury

        Derek · 03/05/2017 at 17:56

yep. i don't have Beams but considering the Nank to Pendles instead

          Liam · 03/05/2017 at 20:30

Don't. Nank will still be a top 6 forward, find another way to get Pendles in.

pod · 03/05/2017 at 16:19

Anyone holding Greene?

    Benjamin B · 03/05/2017 at 16:28

    Pablo · 04/05/2017 at 07:59

    I am holding both Tobys.

    Beezneez · 04/05/2017 at 11:41

I'm holding as I have him, Beams, Nank, Parfitt and Fisher out. Parfitt and Beams to go, Pendlebury in. Greene to Yeo wouldn't be a bad move but put of by Yeo's yo-yo past history.

Lenny · 03/05/2017 at 16:20

About 512k……there's a few sites you can try for that info. is one

Chalie · 03/05/2017 at 16:28

New to SC, if Beams doesn't play this week will his price still drop?

    KSinny · 03/05/2017 at 16:31

    FCAbel · 03/05/2017 at 18:24

But will drop when he plays again

      Chalie · 03/05/2017 at 19:22

On SEN they said Beams AT LEAST 2 weeks..

    Beezneez · 04/05/2017 at 11:42

    I'm thinking could be more

KSinny · 03/05/2017 at 16:30

What's everyone's thoughts on Beams to De Goey if he plays this week, is a mid forward, will make some cash and has a round 13 bye. Thoughts?

    DefyingMadness · 03/05/2017 at 16:42

Are people looking for round 13 byes? My round 13 is cooked, half my team is out

      Imgonnalose · 03/05/2017 at 17:49

Same but nearly everyone in my league has their lowest projection in round 11

    FCAbel · 03/05/2017 at 18:25

Seems a really bad option. He won't make much cash and is nowhere near top 10 anything.

    Top Gun · 03/05/2017 at 18:37

Not a keeper though and don't see him making enough $$ to be trade worthy.

SC16 · 03/05/2017 at 16:31

Looking for a big POD community which one out of Cotchin, BJ Goddard and Duncan

    pod · 03/05/2017 at 16:44

Duncan will never get a tag. His best year so far? Cotchin can go huge, but I have memories of his fade outs. BJ is reliable, can go big. I pick Duncan.

    LoganJosh7 · 03/05/2017 at 17:19

    Declan · 03/05/2017 at 17:27

Duncan gets too many pints taken off him from paddy and jelwood, I would say Cotchin. This year the seems to have stepped up to lift the tigers along with dusty. If it was me id go Cotchin.

      SC16 · 03/05/2017 at 17:50

I was thinking duncan out of the three because he will never get tagged with dangerwood on the same team but its hard to split the 3 im still not too sure

        Hennezz · 03/05/2017 at 18:37

Definitely Cotchin, he won't get tagged a dusty is in team, plus he's more reliable than Duncan.

    Moustachio · 03/05/2017 at 21:36

Jock Reynolds is not really a POD Community, I'd consider supercoach scores

      Sorry I read that.

BradK · 03/05/2017 at 16:53

Dam beams. Was going to bring in docherty, but are now going marchbank to melican, and beams to pendles. Will mean lots of cash to upgrade otten or someone to docherty next week. Sound good?

    Beezneez · 04/05/2017 at 11:46

I'm possibly doing the same – he is not expected to rise too much.

The Master · 03/05/2017 at 16:53

I cant wait for next season, I wish I could just restart this one. My team looks stuffed, this week I will have at least 2 donuts thanks to injuries- Beams, Nankervis, Parfit, Green, Fisher, and maybe Dangerfield and non playing players – Eddy, Picket, Mountford and Barret. Also had Omeara, got rid of Roughy last week. The supercoach gods can get stuffed. I get knocked down, don't know if I can get up again. I finished 552 last year, this year looks like I will probably have to add a couple of zeros. The mechanic just phoned me to say the car is going to cost $2300 to fix a computer problem and I told him I have much bigger problems to deal with.

    Derek · 03/05/2017 at 18:22

    what is wrong with dangerfield?

      Rivo · 03/05/2017 at 18:44

Derek, there is a whisper he is carrying bruised or cracked ribs after a knee to the chest against the Hawks a couple of weeks ago. Watched him closely against the Saints the next week and he seemed to be playing more outside footy. If it's legit, he's still playing through it. Watch with interest.

        hedski · 03/05/2017 at 18:51

100% playing according to Mitch Duncan

    Tiger · 03/05/2017 at 20:59

You can now add mummy to your list

      The Master · 04/05/2017 at 11:45

Thanks Tiger, finally one that is not in my team, however I nearly put Mummy in for Gawn when he went down but went with Martin instead.

hedski · 03/05/2017 at 16:57

It comes down to Bont or Pendles for Beams.
Bont would use EVERY cent in my bank and doesn't suit my bye structure, Pendles saves me $25k, both have similar BE's, Pendles has Carlton this week…welcome Pendles.
(I have a filthy confession to make…Pendles has never been in my side, just couldn't afford to get him in during the year and for some stupid reason have never started him, I know, I know, go easy).

    KSinny · 03/05/2017 at 16:59

If it fits your bye structure get pendles enough said

    Captain Risky · 03/05/2017 at 17:10

Same , don't think I've ever had him either. That way I don't have to barrack for Collingwood in any way πŸ™‚

This year will be a first, Pendles in this week I suspect with Beams out now.

      FCAbel · 03/05/2017 at 18:26

It's nice to have a positive when collingwood do well.

    Pablo · 03/05/2017 at 17:29

Hard choice. I have some bench cover so I might sit for another week and see if i can ride it out. I still feel Beams has more to offer.

      hedski · 03/05/2017 at 18:07

If Barrett gets a gig I'll consider doubling down and going next week, otherwise Pendles in this week.

    Crowmagnon · 03/05/2017 at 18:24

This is the first year this decade I didn't start with him and have felt naked without him.

      Beezneez · 04/05/2017 at 11:48

Same – in this week at a good price.

    INPieman · 03/05/2017 at 19:01

It's rare you see him sub 600. Pick him up Hedski

      hedski · 03/05/2017 at 19:16

Yeah fair chance if I leave it a week some other numbnuts will get injured and the ship will sail, don't worry bout the shotty Pie, I strangled Beams the prick, felt good.

        Mike · 03/05/2017 at 21:27

Parfitt to Parsons
Hampton upgrade to Gibbered
Thoughts everyone?

    Gus · 03/05/2017 at 16:59

    That should be Hibberd!!

Ross · 03/05/2017 at 16:59

Money making both of them so good idea IMO

Brad · 03/05/2017 at 17:01

Is anyone bringing in an elite midfielder this week? I'm waiting until next week. One more money-making week from the rookies!

    One Touch Wonder · 03/05/2017 at 18:29

Two this week. Priddis and Pendlebury will be joining my team to replace Nank and Beams.

      One Touch Wonder · 03/05/2017 at 18:32

        Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 22:29

That Beams to Pendles SHARK move was a real unique pick there One touch.

The BONT · 03/05/2017 at 17:07

Butler down to Parsons
Burton up to Roberton

Roberton seems risky but hopfully he can keep his form up

SF4 · 03/05/2017 at 17:13

Beama out. Have 650k to use.
Jelwood, Gaz, Titch, Dusty, rocky or someone else. (already have Danger, Pendles, Bont, Fyfe, Treloar and Hanners)
Swing Adams into the midfield and bring in Docherty. (Will eventually want to swing adams back into the backline but there doesn't seem to be many DEF/MID rookies, which is why I'm a bit hesitant on making this move)

Thanks guys.

    Pablo · 03/05/2017 at 17:27

Or do you hold. That is the question. Many will ditch Beams this week meaning he may be a POD to come.

      DefyingMadness · 03/05/2017 at 17:39

My thoughts exactly. I will be bringing in Melican/EVW and Parsons this week and plan on going bang bang next week

Parfitt out for parsons or black? and JOM to Brodie Grundy or Todd Goldstein. Opinions community

    Rivo · 03/05/2017 at 18:38

    Parsons & Grundy.

Joshua · 03/05/2017 at 17:21

Double upgrade this week with Elliot yeo in for beams and Hibberd in for Otten or double downgrade with Parsons in for Beams and EVW in for Hampton?

    Joshua · 03/05/2017 at 17:28

Or stick to original plans of EVW for hampton and Marchbank to Simpson and cover Beams with Balic for 2 weeks (If not longer)

      Hennezz · 03/05/2017 at 18:38

      Option 1

tom · 03/05/2017 at 17:25

what are peoples thoughts on seb ross he seems to be a much improved player and an elite midfielder at 524k he seems a good bet, scored 36 r1 but has come good to avg 107 last 5 weeks saints playing well nd he is etting plenty of ball, in 0.3% teams so a great POD option saints have a decent draw

ive basically convinced myself but need someone else's opinion so thoughts Lekdog and sc community

    Sauce · 03/05/2017 at 17:55

    Imgonnalose · 03/05/2017 at 17:57

    Love it mate, solid

    Juzzy · 03/05/2017 at 18:12

Don't mind it Tom. He is, however playing a tagger/ run with role.

Think Barlow at the end of his time at Freo. Gets the best opposition mid each week but instead of trying to totally negate tries to hurt the other way. Worked well for Barlows SC scores and seems to be working well for Sebs. I guess if you are running with the comps elite mids you are gonna be around the ball more often than not.

Personally prefer others but a genuine POD. Hope it works out.

Andy · 03/05/2017 at 17:29

Plan for the next two weeks,
This Week: Murphy > GAJ and Otten > EVW
Next Week: J Kelly > Rory Sloane and Beams > Pendles.
Not fussed about Beams not playing this week since the guy i am playing has 3 out this week.
Thoughts on these trades?

    LoganJosh7 · 03/05/2017 at 17:32

no no no andy. there are far far better trades than doing a pointless sideways premium trade.
    pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease. have mercy.

    Sauce · 03/05/2017 at 17:54

Otten to EVW is good and then I would go a rookie that has peaked to pendles this week

Johnny · 03/05/2017 at 17:35

How much will Pendles be after this week with a BE of 124?

    SF4 · 03/05/2017 at 17:41

Not much cheaper, he could beat his be of 124 this week easily.

    BlueNath · 03/05/2017 at 21:24

Carlton will have a run with player on him. But he will still score exactly his BE of 124. So he will be the same price next week. But!… that 124 added to this weeks score just sounds so juicy, huh!

    jez_m · 04/05/2017 at 15:04

Based on his recent form against the Blues, he's every chance to hit that breakeven.

Sauce · 03/05/2017 at 17:53

Should I go parfait to pendles
Parfait to parsons and otten to Shaw

    Sauce · 03/05/2017 at 17:56

Only problem is ill be playing 3 rookies in midfield with beams out

      Rivo · 03/05/2017 at 18:16

      Parfitt to Pendles.

    SF4 · 03/05/2017 at 19:02

Which 3 rookies will you be fielding?

Laird Lad Donuts · 03/05/2017 at 18:06

Brad Ebert… Thoughts

    Big Kev · 03/05/2017 at 18:20

PASS. He does this every season. Goes on a rich vein of form and then after he's sucked a few in drops his scoring away.

    SF4 · 03/05/2017 at 19:09

Yep, I wouldn't be selecting him either. Better options around the same price in Hanners, cripps, Parker, treloar, jake Lloyd and Dusty.

      KSinny · 03/05/2017 at 19:15

      Especially dusty and hanners

TOPHAWK1 · 03/05/2017 at 18:12

OK Beams is out for 2 weeks. That means Jake Barrett gets a recall?? If he doesn't get a game now, I will eat my friggin hat. Assuming he plays, it at least will give most coaches another rookie returning to making cash and generate some points. As I have Barrett, I feel very good about painting the fence this week. Less urgency to get two rooks, one will do now. Probably will trade out Parfitt to Parsons and cull Otten for either Pendles or Ablett via DPP. Beams is now the loophole slave taking over from Barrett. Brisbane play quite late this round which is handy. Barrett better get bloody named……….Cheers

    Desmond · 03/05/2017 at 18:18

Wouldn't count on it TH. Reckon Mathieson or Ding Dong Bell will come in for Barrett.

      Desmond · 03/05/2017 at 18:22

*(Sorry I meant) will come in for Beams.

    Northernsoul74 · 03/05/2017 at 18:48

2 weeks then injury to be reassessed so could be longer.

      TOPHAWK1 · 03/05/2017 at 19:08

Yeah, it is a quad. That is a soft tissue problem. These type of injuries can take much longer to heal. If Barrett is not named this week, I will trade out Beams. The last thing I need is a 2016 style Brett Deledio drama. I did not have him at the time, but I remember how coaches who did were frustrated out of their minds. His injury was 'only" a 2 weeker, but it dragged out to about 6 weeks before he finally returned. It think he was crap after that anyway.

        Maestro · 03/05/2017 at 21:42

Ambrose has a quad and Bombers are saying 4 weeks for him.

Rivo · 03/05/2017 at 18:15

Brilliant as always Lekdog.
I'm painting the fence this week, with Parfitt and Nank out. Fwd cover looks to be the priority. Parfitt will go out with a range of options.

Straw Poll Community. Which of these to get in?

1. Macrae
2. Yeo
3. JJK
4. Heeney
5. Hibberd (Melb)
6. Steele

    Desmond · 03/05/2017 at 18:23

      Don · 03/05/2017 at 18:40

6 everyone will probe be trading out Steele but has capability of being keeper, risky option tho. But safer option is probs 1

        Lachy · 04/05/2017 at 15:02

    Derek · 03/05/2017 at 18:41

    Macrae by a mile

    pod · 03/05/2017 at 18:43

    SF4 · 03/05/2017 at 19:09

    Macrae for sure

    hedski · 03/05/2017 at 19:20

Was looking at Macrae next week before Beams threw me off course.

Pror3d · 03/05/2017 at 18:24

Don't understand why noone seems to be looking at Heath Shaw. Break even of 80 and is at the lowest price he is likely to hit (90k cheaper than he started). Does the community no longer see him as a top 6 def?

    Ja191 · 03/05/2017 at 18:46

was his second 100 after round 1 this week. He hasn't been scoring as well and with GWS's run he won't see as much of it. I'm leaning towards simpson or hibberd but shaw could very well do well from here it's a gamble though.

    SF4 · 03/05/2017 at 19:11

Shaw is still a good option.

    Lazza · 03/05/2017 at 19:32

A wait and see for me … I'd rather trade him in after a string of 100+ scores at a higher price … his score last week was inflated more than usual due to excessive number kick out after behinds and he normally scores well against the Doggies. Not in the top 6 or 8 for me yet..

    Moustachio · 03/05/2017 at 21:20

Most people only want to trade a player in at the top of their price cycle.
Most people are also ranked outside the top 1%

I wonder if these things are coincidences ><

      Wedge · 03/05/2017 at 21:35

I heard a stat once that 99% of people are actually outside the top 1%

        Cogla13 · 04/05/2017 at 16:10

Have you ever noticed that it always rains towards the end of a drought?

      Lazza · 03/05/2017 at 22:27

Nah, just prefer to bring in Pendles, Bont and Macrae before I consider a 'maybe' … and just 1% behind you sport…

Juzzy · 03/05/2017 at 18:32

We're all looking Pror …

Few other priorities for me this week but he is in my team next week.

Top Gun · 03/05/2017 at 18:39

Time to take risks even if Roo gets injured.

Beams >> Pendles
Nank (BE at 90) >>> Roo

Bang bang!!!

    pod · 03/05/2017 at 18:44

    Top Gun · 03/05/2017 at 18:44

OK maybe Bang. Lol. Roo's BE 133. Buddy it is then I can go Bang, Pop.

    Holty · 03/05/2017 at 18:52

Why trade nank? I would think he is a keeper.

    Mousta · 03/05/2017 at 19:46

    More like 0.5 bang * 2 = 1.0 bang

Joshua · 03/05/2017 at 18:48

Option 1: Beams-Yeo, Otten-Hibberd
Option 2: Hampton-EVW, Marchbank-Simpson
Option 3: Hampton EVW, Butler-Parsons

    Rivo · 03/05/2017 at 18:56

Option 1looks a shark move, Option 2 safer.

Steeeve · 03/05/2017 at 18:56

Righto completely different trades for me now. Will let the cows in defence fatten for another week (and miss out on cheap Kade Simpson. Oh well)

Beams to Pendles
Parfitt to JP Kennedy

Buddy is more of a bargain than Kennedy but has that round 11 bye.

Steeeve · 03/05/2017 at 18:57

Anyone thinking SPP will fatten nicely and turn into Myers at a perfect time for his round 9 bye?
Can only hope!

    TOPHAWK1 · 03/05/2017 at 19:16

Bingo!! That is exactly my plan. If Myers is named this week, then that scenario could unfold perfectly, but even if he comes in next week, I will probably go 1 week early on Myers and cull SPP for a juicy little profit. Be interesting to see how this one works out.

Holty · 03/05/2017 at 18:58

Ummm just got home and got the beams news. Will now change my plans as have no backup. Also nank out in rucks so starting to scratch my head

Tyruddanaut · 03/05/2017 at 19:02

After lots of thinking last night, and a bit of crying after being reminded of last weeks score, I decided to go with an unpopular choice for my premium upgrade

Looking around, either he has been neglected or I ignorant but I see him as a valid option. Of course I'm talking of Ty Vickery. Just Kidding! Brad Ebert. An average of 113 a round and scored a minimum of 95 against GWS. But even against Adelaide, he got a nice 107.

Hmm, I think I might start this round with him unlesss he is injured at trqining

    INPieman · 03/05/2017 at 20:00

Have you been back & researched his historical SC numbers? Massive gamble. Pass

      Don · 03/05/2017 at 20:12

    Lazza · 03/05/2017 at 22:14

Kelly, Francis, Stanton and Myers all will be back over the next 2 weeks.

Crow · 03/05/2017 at 19:13

Whats a better trade guys :
Beams and Otten out for Bont and melican
Beams and Otten for Dusty and Adams?

    KSinny · 03/05/2017 at 19:14

    The first

    TBone · 03/05/2017 at 19:44

I would go option 2. Dusty is a good pick as he has the round 12 bye

The BONT · 03/05/2017 at 19:27

What do people think of Dylan Roberton is he any good is he worth bringing in

    Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 00:20

Probably not before Simpson, Shaw, Lloyd, Laird, if you don't already have them. Roberton just doesn't have the track record of Shaw or Simmo.

    pod · 04/05/2017 at 07:07

With an average as good as any Defender, a 50 breakeven, and you have the funds, why not? The Saints might push for the finals this year, he would be a big part of any team success. And what a POD, only 1.5% teams have him!

      Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 22:26

Because the best players on any line, in Supercoach, have a history of posting 100 plus scores on a regular basis for several seasons, Roberton's never even got close to doing that….if you believe this is his breakout year, go for it fella!

Joshua · 03/05/2017 at 19:29

Will be covering Beams with Balic and Nank with Taranto

Joshua · 03/05/2017 at 19:35

Seasons long gone now as I started with pretty much every player that is now a bargain. I'm now left with trying for league wins.

Faced with two donuts in nank and beams, I have gone parfait to black and beams to. Mumford (Steele to mid and nank to fwd) previously had Hampton to Hibbered.

Is Mumford one of the top three rucks come year end? Or have I just wasted a trade to cover my donuts?

    Ja191 · 03/05/2017 at 20:23

He'll finish top 2 or 3 + a good pod with just under 5% ownership. Only issue is that he's on the expensive side

    PhilDev10 · 03/05/2017 at 20:48

I love him but every time I bring him in, he gets injured within the month. I'm scarred

    Tiger · 03/05/2017 at 20:56

Mumford has a red line. Must be injured

      Lazza · 03/05/2017 at 22:20

Ankle injury but expected to play…

clarky · 03/05/2017 at 19:36

Trading Beams out for Bont this week. Was going to trade him out around the byes, but not sure what to do with the second trade. My current bench mids are Parfitt, barratt and fisher.

Option 1: JOM down to parsons, Means i have to play SPP and balic on field in the mids
Option 2: parfitt down to Parsons, means i can loophole SPP into Balic

    Doug · 03/05/2017 at 20:10

Look at Cotchin as a sneaky POD, just a suggestion

The BONT · 03/05/2017 at 19:47

Trading Beams to Bont and Butler/Parfitt to Parsons

Who goes first Butler or Parfitt??

    INPieman · 03/05/2017 at 19:57

    ParUNfitt. He's out for 10

      Don · 03/05/2017 at 20:11

I would hold off and go fro someone like Zerret

neilDemons Delight · 03/05/2017 at 19:50

hard choice between black and parsons Scott appears to favour Parsons though

    INPieman · 03/05/2017 at 19:56

    Good. Paeron's is cheaper

    Pman · 03/05/2017 at 20:17

If both are named I'll be jumping on Parsons ahead of Black.

    Lazza · 03/05/2017 at 22:23

Wil they bring Parsons back in straight away .. he won't have played for 3 weeks..

Pman · 03/05/2017 at 20:17

With Beams now out for 2 weeks I can't trade the very disppointing Callan Ward (Avg 88 and down $90K in value) to Sloane/Bont as planned and are now considering Beams to Pendles and Parfitt to Parsons with $94K in the bank.

Next week I'll look double downgrade and generate some more cash as not overly impressed with any of the Bubble Boys this week, so with that in mind does this proposed trade stack up?

    Northernsoul74 · 03/05/2017 at 21:41

Who are you going to double downgrade to next week? I can't see anyone decent.

      Pman · 03/05/2017 at 22:12

You are right, next week barring injuries/selections (and hopefully the week after too) I'll sit tight and hold trades and see what eventuates Rookie wise which should still give me a enough time to build a decent war chest leading into the Byes.

    Russty_ · 03/05/2017 at 23:55

Solid trades there Pman, I did the same thing, can't go wrong with Pendles.

josh1010101 · 03/05/2017 at 20:21

Should i trade in Heeney and Vickers-Willis for Otten and Parfitt but cop a zero or should i trade in Parsons and black for Eddy and Parfit and not cop a zero? (Green & Nank on my bench)

jonesy · 03/05/2017 at 20:25

beams to pendles/sloane/bont which one?

    HarryO · 03/05/2017 at 20:35

Melican or EVW??

    jonesy · 03/05/2017 at 20:35

I'm in the same boat . EVW for me though at this stage purely because of JS

    Cold_Case · 03/05/2017 at 21:33

Mcveigh is due to return. Probably through neafl but will take the spot of one if the swans rookie defenders. Maybe EVW

TBone · 03/05/2017 at 20:40

Hey guys, probably doing the norm by trading out
Parfitt to Parsons/Black (whoever is named this week), and Beams to Pendles.

Will still have $380,000 in the kitty, so next week I'm thinking I'll go
Marchbank to Doc.

Then week after that, will be bye rounds for Port and GC.
Bowes out for rookie on the bubble (Myers?), and SPP to hopefully Rocky (BE of 206) or at worst a premo mid/fwd worth about $550,000 or under.

    Russty_ · 03/05/2017 at 23:59

Good plan, doesn't matter that Pendles is the norm, at the end of the year if you don't have him you'll be suffering. .and Beams has served his purpose, scoring decent points before he got injured again, or was traded out to upgrade.

      TBone · 04/05/2017 at 08:31

Cheers Russty! Yeah absolutely, take value while you can. Everyone who doesn't have him should be trying to bring him in however possible I think. Also mistake not starting the year with Doc so to bring him in next week from fattened rookie sounds too good to resist

    Cogla13 · 04/05/2017 at 09:02

SPP could actually be really handy through the 11 – 13 bye rounds if you can get through 9 without trading him.

      TBone · 04/05/2017 at 12:03

Yeah true! If he gets a 80+ score in the next two weeks again I might do so! But 2 mediocre weeks and it would be silly not to bring in a bottomed out premium for him I reckon

Paul · 03/05/2017 at 20:49

Hi Community

Thoughts please. Kade Simpson or Michael Hibberd?
Can I either be a top 6 defender?

Thank you

    TBone · 03/05/2017 at 22:03

Kade should definitely be! Bring him in for his price if you can

      Paul · 03/05/2017 at 23:28

      Thanks TBone for your advice.

    Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 00:11

Agree with TBone, Simmo much more reliable than Hibberd, especially injury-wise.

Finnius123 · 03/05/2017 at 20:53

Bont and Taylor Adams or Pendles and Jake Lloyd? – can only have one pairing due to bye structure

    KSinny · 03/05/2017 at 21:00

    2. Better value for money right now

    Pablo · 04/05/2017 at 08:13

Tough call. I would probably go 1. Consistency and ceiling just a bit better. Can't see either being a bad call.

    Jacob · 04/05/2017 at 15:29

I have Bont & Lloyd and Pendles & Adams are my 2 highest priorities.
Both great options but I like 1 better. Can't separate the mids but Adams before Lloyd

daniel · 03/05/2017 at 20:56

beams and otten for stef martin and michael hibberd (dpp swap nank to fwd line to avoid 0).

Rough week community
Love your thoughts on the following trades

Butler – Parsons
Beams – Pendulbury

Butler – Parsons
Parfitt – Pendulbury

Option 1 leaves me with $250k and option 2 $22,000

Was looking forward to downgrading hampton to Melican and Butler to Parsons and having $600k in the warchest to go Bang Bang! next week.

    LoganJosh7 · 04/05/2017 at 13:11

nah go bang bang next week – pendles breakeven is 125ish this week so hardly gonna change

Iamme · 03/05/2017 at 21:02

This week trading Beams for Pendles and JOM for YoYo, who I will swing forward at a later date as he looks like he could well be a top 6 forward at this stage.

    Iamme · 03/05/2017 at 21:15

I'm getting rid of both but JOM would be my first priority as he is really struggling this season and has a B/E of 104….beams should be back in 2 weeks.

    TBone · 03/05/2017 at 22:04

JOM for sure. He needs to go!

    Finnius123 · 04/05/2017 at 08:50

    Both lol

      INPieman · 04/05/2017 at 11:24

Agreed. Get rid of both! I don't like the sounds of Beams & injured. 2 weeks could turn into who knows how long

    kim · 04/05/2017 at 11:31

i'm getting rid of beams this week reckon his 2 weeks could turn into more and i dont want to have to play 2 rookies in mids for 2 or more weeks, losing too many points rather get pendles now, great vc option this week as his last 4 against the blues he has averaged over 135 i believe. Suits my bye rounds even better having pendles over beams as well.

      Hubba · 05/05/2017 at 00:29

correct – Beams wont play before their bye – dodgy Quad

    Fiona · 05/05/2017 at 18:09

    JOM by a long way.

Winter · 03/05/2017 at 21:16

Everyone who was bringing in Simmo this week but is f'd with Beams being out just substitute Adams into the middle and trade Beams for him.

Then next week when Otten needs to go you can upgrade him to a premo midfielder by switching Adams back to defence. This way you don't miss Simmo's prise rise and can wait a week on Rockliff which is what I'm doing (206 break even)

    Paul · 03/05/2017 at 21:31

Thanks. I'm a first year SuperCoach player so learning the ropes. That makes sense so that's what I will do. Just need to decide between Hibberd or Simmo not sure if either or both top 6 defenders.

      Winter · 03/05/2017 at 21:41

Have a listen to the podcast, they talk about Hibberd and reasons not to trade him in. I'd suggest going Simpson, he's a proven performer and more likely to finish top 6 then Hibberd definitely worth the extra 70k in my opinion.

        Paul · 03/05/2017 at 21:49

        Thanks for the advice

    Steeeve · 04/05/2017 at 09:33

I hadn't actually thought of that, great call. Beams – Simpson and Parfitt – Parsons.
Will leave me almost $700,000 to snaffle Pendles next week for Pickett. The biggest upgrade imaginable.

Nick · 03/05/2017 at 21:24

Bont or Gaz?

    BlueNath · 03/05/2017 at 21:29

Gaz won't be given freedom like that from most other sides. However, Gaz is capable of a solid avg for the rest of the season. However, the Bont will avg more than Gaz. Plus, bye structures should considered… strategically Gaz might be worth waiting on for a few weeks (and hope for a quiet one)

    Winter · 03/05/2017 at 21:41

    Danners · 04/05/2017 at 14:07

The Bont, one looks to be the future of Supercoach the other is the past

SideshowBob · 03/05/2017 at 21:42

If Sloane goes big this week and gets 130 what will his price rise to?

    TOPHAWK1 · 03/05/2017 at 22:05

How does $685K sound? That is how much he will cost. Dont get ripped off

      Steeeve · 04/05/2017 at 09:24

$100k more than Pendles and I know who I'd back to average higher from here onward.

        LoganJosh7 · 04/05/2017 at 16:40

        i wouldnt… sloanes 5 round average atm is 149

          Thomas · 05/05/2017 at 09:18

But His last 5 games have been against:
          Hawks (away),
Port (Listed as away, but was still technically at home)
          Bombers (Home)
          Gold Coast (away)
          Richmond (Home)
So he has had a pretty good run at it. In previous years, he has shown he is a flat track bully, and struggles to keep it up away from home. His 2 away games in the last 5 weeks have been against very poor sides this year. While he has gone to the next level, i wouldnt be so sure he will average higher than Pendles for the rest of the season.

    TBone · 03/05/2017 at 22:08

If Sloane goes for 130 he'll only go up about $6k

    jimmy_raiders · 04/05/2017 at 18:07

    Over 9000

Campbell · 03/05/2017 at 21:44

I have 25 trades and 285k in the bank
What problems do i have? Who should i trade and get for this week

    TBone · 03/05/2017 at 22:23

take the donut in the ruck this week from Nank i say. Beams to Pendles, JOM to Balic. Then you have the funds to go Parfitt to Macrae next week

    daniel · 03/05/2017 at 23:50

swap nank into fwd line, he can be your f5,6 and bring in martin/grundy/mumford

    David · 04/05/2017 at 00:35

Are you going for league win or overall. If league whats your current position. If overall trade your A off to get best team first.

      TigerMAN · 04/05/2017 at 02:18

If I were you id downgrade parfitt for Parsons if named. then upgrade Beams to Pendlebury

    Tyruddanaut · 04/05/2017 at 09:04

    Beams to Grundy via DPP
Dahlhaus in mid and bank fwd

Spanner · 03/05/2017 at 21:56

Swap beams and Parfitt for Pendles and Smartin to cover the doughnuts

Downgrade to a rookie instead of one of them?

Playing for league, $507k

    TOPHAWK1 · 03/05/2017 at 22:11

Cop the donut for Nank mate. He will be back next week and fit as a fiddle.

Parfitt to Parsons and either Beams or Otten (via DPP) to either Pendles or Gary Ablett.

      Spanner · 03/05/2017 at 22:24

My opponent has both Tobys so I'm hoping he has to get a zero as well.

        TOPHAWK1 · 03/05/2017 at 22:36

Exactly. He will cop a donut(s) or else he will blow trades. If he does corrective trade, you might still win regardless. Stick to your structures mate.

    Spanner · 03/05/2017 at 22:30

I should also mention that after this week I'll only have 20 trades left…. (due to various reasons including NRoo effing me over). Does this change anything?

Derek · 03/05/2017 at 22:41

Who is trading out the Nank? Watched him last week and he looked slow. Looked along way from being a top 6 forward. His Price has probably hit max and now he has a week off. Has Sandi, Mummy and Goldy waiting for him when he comes back.

    DavidSA · 03/05/2017 at 22:55

As a F5-6 he will be fine I reckon avg high 90's easy
    As R2 no

      TOPHAWK1 · 03/05/2017 at 23:07

The week off will do him the world of good. He will be refreshed and ready to kick some more arse!

        Derek · 04/05/2017 at 12:03

I should have a week off to

    Juzzy · 03/05/2017 at 23:02

Geez. Hadn't even thought of his upcoming draw Derek.

My initial thought was hold but I only have Sympkin and Eddy as cover. If neither is selected I will have to rethink this one.

    Spanner · 03/05/2017 at 23:35

    Are you?

      Derek · 04/05/2017 at 11:41

I'll be holding. Until there are better forward options. Just asking the community

    Winter · 03/05/2017 at 23:37

Surely a hold, only missing the one week and even if there are people wanting to trade him you'd think there are more important issues to deal with and he'd be one of the last to be upgraded in your teams

    Leeds17 · 04/05/2017 at 05:57

Would like to get him through to his bye at least, Don't think who he plays against has a massive effect on his scoring, get's more points around the ground.

      Cogla13 · 04/05/2017 at 09:14

He's a round 12 bye so holding him until the byes is not really relevant.

        Derek · 04/05/2017 at 11:38

Excellent point about his R12 bye. Might be the reason to hold him.

    Rick Grimes · 04/05/2017 at 07:41

I'm holding him as a forward, probably a 5-6 as things stand. A week off might be just what he needs. I expect him to rip it up again when he's back. Don't forget even Martin spudded it up last weekend.

    Ben · 04/05/2017 at 11:33

O please O please trade him mate. More people thinking like you and he might become a POD again which will be great for my rank. I bet you were one of the guys who traded him in too and didn't start him so were probably never a believer to begin with so by all means burn a trade and get the prick out.

      Derek · 04/05/2017 at 11:37

Thanks Ben. I assume you are keeping him.

        Ben · 04/05/2017 at 11:49

You bet your ass i'm holding him buddy. The only reason I'd trade him this week is if you were facing a donut and even then I would still consider holding him and instead make an upgrade elsewhere in my team to offset the point loss for one week.

          Derek · 04/05/2017 at 13:56

I don't think he will be in the top 6 forwards, so will look at trading him after his bye.

            Big G · 04/05/2017 at 16:30

Surely he will average 90-100 and there are better trades to worry about.

    Moustachio · 04/05/2017 at 12:43

Never intended as better than F7/R3 cover

min0008 · 03/05/2017 at 22:41

Originally planned to trade Parfitt and Otten for EVW and Bontempelli but now have to get rid of Beams instead of Otten for those two. Also this will leave me with 322k now and will look to upgrade Otten or Hampton to Simpson or Docherty next week.

DavidSA · 03/05/2017 at 22:48

Marchbank and Beams out
Shaw and Franklin in

    Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 00:17

    Good moves I think David.

    Jack · 04/05/2017 at 10:10

Yeah nice trades. Buy low, sell high!

    Finnius123 · 04/05/2017 at 11:15

Jorsan · 03/05/2017 at 23:10

Is beams to Bont a good move?

    Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 00:16

      David · 04/05/2017 at 00:31

Bye rounds + BE = no

    Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 00:40

Everyone has one bad bye round, and Bont's averaging 123, stuff the BE, if you can afford him Jorsan, I'd go for it, or Pendles if you don't have him.

    pod · 04/05/2017 at 06:43

    Yes easy move.

    Thomas · 05/05/2017 at 09:21

    I'm doing this trade

Jordan · 03/05/2017 at 23:47

Beams to parsons
Otten to Newman 720k in the bank

    Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 00:16

Not sure why you'd want to trade Newman in now?..he might not even play this week…maybe Beams up to a premium, and Otten to Vickers-Willis or Melican.

James · 04/05/2017 at 01:24

Beams to Pendles

Parfitt to Parsons or EVW?
If I go Parsons I'll have to play him on field to cover Nank, if I go EVW I can use Balic on field.

    LoganJosh7 · 04/05/2017 at 16:41

TeamFlog · 04/05/2017 at 03:13

Thoughts on team greatly appreciated

DEF: Docherty, Laird, Adams, Roberton, Montagna, Howe (Simpson, Shaw)
MID: Sloane, Danger, Pendlebury, Ablett, Rockliff, Bontempelli, Selwood, Neale (Martin, Treloar, Hannebery)
RUC: Martin, Grundy (Mumford)
FWD: Daulhaus, Kennedy, Macrae, Riewoldt, Walker, Franklin (Nank, Higgins, Betts)

Any thoughts on trade in options?

    Hawks · 04/05/2017 at 04:56

Any team named 'teamflog' needs Toby Greene….lol

    Parsons · 04/05/2017 at 05:39

Downgrade Pendles and Bont, good rookies this week

    Wedge · 04/05/2017 at 08:28

I would add another bench player in def to balance against the three bench players in your fwd line

    Tyruddanaut · 04/05/2017 at 08:59

    Terrible. Hate it sooo much

Leeds17 · 04/05/2017 at 06:10

Cam Pederson for a 80-100k cash grab? Trengove did it last season to good affect & has scored well when been the 2nd ruck before.
Probably a bit too crazy with limited trades.

    pod · 04/05/2017 at 06:39

Look at it this way. The SC Gods have made it possible, how else could this be happening? A true disciple would not question, simply follow and believe. After this weekend we will all be enlightened.

Dutchy · 04/05/2017 at 06:25

Beams out to Pendles for 570k or spend an extra 100k and get Sloane????

    pod · 04/05/2017 at 06:40

    Keep the $100K grab Pendles.

    Rick Grimes · 04/05/2017 at 07:42

Pendles. Save the cash and wait for Sloane to drop. It's inevitable he'll be $100k cheaper at some stage this season.

    Winter · 04/05/2017 at 11:53

Pendles for sure, will probably average around the same anyways

The BONT · 04/05/2017 at 07:17

Who is everyone putting the VC on this week
Docerty, Laird, Danger
Titch gets the C for his consistency wont let me down

    Sam · 04/05/2017 at 07:21

So with beams out I've gone from one downgrade to now painting the fence…parfitt to parsons and beams to pendles…

So, pendles VC and Titch C for me at the moment

      neilDemons Delight · 04/05/2017 at 08:01

be careful I had the c on tich but changed to JPK because of one man Bernie Vince he will probably tag him cheers

        Sam · 04/05/2017 at 08:32

My other consideration is VC on champion data's favourite, then C on Fyfe

    Rick Grimes · 04/05/2017 at 08:16

No one putting anything on Danger?

      pod · 04/05/2017 at 08:38

      Danger might be playing injured

        Rick Grimes · 04/05/2017 at 09:42

Yea I hear that rumour. I recall a similar thing happened with Rocky last year and he went woooshka and blasted out 200. But yea, Danger hasn't looked right the last couple of weeks.

    Holty · 04/05/2017 at 09:05

    Ablett vc
    Fyfe C

    VC Tex, C the Bont

    Mystic Mac · 04/05/2017 at 15:02

    Selwood for mine

Rick Grimes · 04/05/2017 at 08:15

Who else has a massive number of round 11 outs? I think my strategy, options permitting, may be double downgrades in rounds 10 and 11 and then go bang bang bang bang. Pinky snapper!!

    Finnius123 · 04/05/2017 at 08:54

Am thinking a triple downgrade in rd 10

    DefyingMadness · 04/05/2017 at 10:15

I have barely any round 11 outs. Round 13 is my huge problem

    Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 18:15

I think I might have 15 on the field in round 11, the other two I'm fine.

Travo · 04/05/2017 at 08:39

Anyone thinking of holding Beams?

    Finnius123 · 04/05/2017 at 08:54

    Tyruddanaut · 04/05/2017 at 08:56

Yeah… I'm going to see how long his injury is for and hold him for at least one week

    Stevie J · 04/05/2017 at 11:50

    He's gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    jimmy_raiders · 04/05/2017 at 18:14

Only hold if you have higher priorities e.g. Bringing in rookies

Joshua · 04/05/2017 at 09:02

Thoughts on Beams to Parsons and Hampton to Simpson?

Tyruddanaut · 04/05/2017 at 09:09

People are being too quick to trade beams out. The same thing happened with Reiwoldt "at least 2 weeks" he comes back a week later and people want him back

    Dice · 04/05/2017 at 09:31

Beams has a bad injury record though.
If one week i'm holding, good thing is he looks like being a pod now

      Rick Grimes · 04/05/2017 at 09:40

Agree. Beams has always been fragile. Saint Nick is a man of steel. Trading him was one of many huge errors I've made this year.

    Northernsoul74 · 04/05/2017 at 11:06

I don't like the fact Lions Brisbane are saying they will reassess the injury in 2 weeks. Nothing definitive that it's only 2 weeks.

    Geoff · 04/05/2017 at 11:37

Just don't complain here if those 2 weeks then turn into 3 or 4 as the community won't want to hear it. He needs to go this week as he was unlikely to be a keeper anyway. We just hoped to get a few more games out of the bugger before he began to break down again.

    Cogla13 · 04/05/2017 at 12:16

    I don't want Beams back. He won't be a top 10 mid.

    Derek · 04/05/2017 at 12:25

    Think Brad Crouch…….

    Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 18:18

I reckon he's served his purpose mate, scored well and now has become Pendles, I'm not gonna regret that move.

    jimmy_raiders · 04/05/2017 at 18:21

Few years back Beams missed round 1 because of a "tight quad". I thought I'd hold him because he would be back next week. He ended up missing 10 weeks. If it's the same he quad he won't be rushing back

Sana · 04/05/2017 at 09:32

Kade Simpson San, Welcome my team

Jack · 04/05/2017 at 10:03

Swallow for Pendlebury and Otten for Kade Simpson this week. Thought about keeping Otten, wondered what his output would be like with Jenkins back but then had a good look at myself in the mirror and said "bring in two blokes that will finish top bracket in their position."

Hopefully helps me improve from 1880 or whatever the hell I got last week…

    Rick Grimes · 04/05/2017 at 11:55

I've also moved on Otten. He's done great but now he's back in a role that isn't as likely to result in big scores. I've held Hampton and would dearly love an 80+. Simpson at his price is a steal.

      Jack · 04/05/2017 at 21:28

Based on Swallow coming back I'm thinking of moving on Beams instead. If Barrett doesn't make final squad I've got a donut with Fisher going out of Carlton's side…

Touk tuk · 04/05/2017 at 10:11

Beams out move dhal to the mifield move nank to the fwd line and get Martin as R1.

Thats my first trade for this round. Not sure who to downgrade back. Hampton or Ottens?

Pease help community

    Cold_Case · 04/05/2017 at 10:49

Hampton and Ottens are predicted to make $17k and $22k respectively over the next 3 weeks based on their average. Toss a coin, I'm trading Hampton as Otten goes bigger.

Doc · 04/05/2017 at 10:24

Beams out, hibberd or Simpson in to eventually fill D6?

Was set on hibberd for value, but now waivering towards Simpson as more likely to finish top 8.

    INPieman · 04/05/2017 at 12:50

Simmo has had varied roles & varied scores. In a season where cash is hard to find Hibbo looks a good value option. If I didn't have other issues I'd be getting him in

Condi · 04/05/2017 at 10:41

What does everyone think of Callan Ward this year? Is he SuperCoach relevant?
Seems like a steal at 484k having dropped 90k!
Past few years he has been averaging over 100 each week so will he return to this or is he playing a different role this year?

    Finnius123 · 04/05/2017 at 11:11

Wouldn't get him in until he shows a turn of form. If he does though will be a bargain at that price.

    jeremy · 04/05/2017 at 11:41

Just not a top 12 mid so why bother. The GWS midfield share the load too well so it will be very difficult for any of them (Ward, Shiel, Kelly etc) to go 110+ from here. Not enough cash in him to be a valid stepping stone either. Would rather go Hanners if you are looking for value who at least has some sort of shot at going 110 from here. Otherwise don't be a cheap bastard and go for Pendles, Gaz or Bont this week and stop messing around.

      Condi · 04/05/2017 at 11:53

Yeah I'm hearing ya, although with Bont having the bye in round 11 and I already have 5 premos out that week, and another 5 premos out in round 13 I am trying to get a premo from round 12. Was thinking Selwood or an Eagle? I already have Danger.

        jeremy · 04/05/2017 at 12:14

Yeah Selwood is always a good option. Dusty could also be a nice buy too in another couple of weeks in terms of round 12 bye mid premos.

    FCAbel · 04/05/2017 at 15:56

Keen to see if coniglio coming in helps him back to form

Lucas · 04/05/2017 at 11:01

Thoughts on these options community

-Beams to shaw via Adams into midfield but swing him back to defence once otten is ready to go
– butler to Grundy via nankervis being swung fwd
Means I miss out on rookies but don't wanna cop rookie scores for weeks cause beams is made of glass

Butler to Grundy via the swing again and then Houston to black or parsons and bench beams for a week and trade him to a premium mid next week

    Finnius123 · 04/05/2017 at 11:09

Like option one – why can't you turn beams into a premo mid this week? Will give you the highest output.

      Lucas · 04/05/2017 at 11:19

Don't have enough salary left over from getting grundy

mitch · 04/05/2017 at 11:01

trading beams, thinking Bont, Pendles or Sloane. cash not a factor.

    Finnius123 · 04/05/2017 at 11:07

    I have gone Bont

    Rick Grimes · 04/05/2017 at 11:57

Pendles best value and likely to have similar output as Sloane over the course of the year.

    Moustachio · 04/05/2017 at 12:39

Cash is always a factor. Play for the long game.

Adam · 04/05/2017 at 11:11

Parfitt>Parsons and Beams>Bont

wombatsfc · 04/05/2017 at 11:43

Beams out for two weeks then the bye better dump him today if you have him

    redgumwon · 04/05/2017 at 12:08

Could even be longer than that me thinks

    Jeff · 04/05/2017 at 16:35

Absolutely. The bastard has to go. It's time to move on from that particular burnman.

Joshua · 04/05/2017 at 11:44

Holding Beams and Nank, Taranto and Balic will be my cover and I'll trade Hampton and Marchbank for EVW and Simmo. Good thinking?

    Rick Grimes · 04/05/2017 at 11:59

Personally I'd get rid of Beams. Is he a top 8 mid on current form? Will he be back in 2 weeks or will that turn to 3,4,5? Do you trust him even when he gets back? It was always a punt picking him and he's actually lasted longer than I thought.

    Danners · 04/05/2017 at 14:05

Good thinking if you have shredded up a few trades already, otherwise wield the axe

Northernsoul74 · 04/05/2017 at 12:34

Brad Scheer to debut for Gold Coast.

    INPieman · 04/05/2017 at 12:39

Any thoughts?

    Dragz · 04/05/2017 at 12:45

Heppell, i meant Heppell…Now why I typed Hibberd rather than Heppell… I'll blame the lack of sleep due to annoying animals and young children!!

      Spanner · 04/05/2017 at 16:58

Oliver for consistency, but i'd pick based on your bye structure

Alun · 04/05/2017 at 12:46

I am thinking Beams – Hannebery and Ottens – Melican not convinced of Ottens output with JJ back, no backline rookies on bubble next week. Hannebery 2 100 plus scores in a row. Leaves Marchbank to Pendlebury via dpp next week.

    INPieman · 04/05/2017 at 13:25

Hanners might have a date with Mitch Robinson

      Alun · 04/05/2017 at 13:34

Or how about that Eddy arsehole?? Kicked 5 goals in the SANFL last week so if he can't get a game this weekend in the seniors then all that talk in the preseason that Hinks loves the guy was obviously BS.

    Dave · 04/05/2017 at 13:27

Must be too much flogging off to thoughts of the Bont ha ha. I do remember he hurt his wrist last week but played the game out. I guess it mustn't have come up. Luckily I can swing Balic in off my mid bench or I'd be screwed.

    Derek · 04/05/2017 at 13:58

Someone out there will have Greene, Nank and Dalh in their team…..

      Derek · 04/05/2017 at 14:00

      And Beams.

        Big G · 04/05/2017 at 15:00

        That would be me. Ha.

        FCAbel · 04/05/2017 at 16:01

        And parfitt and Eddy

    The Master · 04/05/2017 at 13:59

I may not have a forward line this week, nank, green, parfit, picket, eddy, and now maybe Dahlhaus. Only leaves me with Franklin and Butler. This weeks looking like a write off. Might just get Balic/ Black and Parsons in for Parfit and Beams or Omeara.

    Brett · 04/05/2017 at 14:27

Yeah I heard he will likely be named tonight and they will give him up until game day to get right. But don't be surprised if he is a late out so would get your contingencies ready in case it means a potential doughnut.

Joshua · 04/05/2017 at 13:55

Trade Elliot Yeo in for Beams and swing him in forward and Dahlhaus MID, cover Dahlhaus with Balic and Nank with Taranto. Good thinking?

    INPieman · 04/05/2017 at 13:59

    Sounds good to me

      Joshua · 04/05/2017 at 14:12

And could go Otten to Hibberd or downgrade a rookie like Hampton to someone like EVW with second trade or do I hold? Not really in a good trade situation I got 22 before this weeks trades

    Danners · 04/05/2017 at 14:08

Good thinking if you believe that Yeo's purple patch is no joke

    Finnius123 · 04/05/2017 at 14:31

Just as long as both Dahl and Yeo finish in the forward line that sounds good

Sam · 04/05/2017 at 13:57

I'm aiming for a final backline of Laird, Adams, Simmo, Williams, Lloyd and Rance. (Currently I only have Laird and Adams)

Keen to hear thoughts on Rance and Zac Williams.

    Danners · 04/05/2017 at 14:09

Both look to be solid POD defenders, probably should try and fit Doc in somewhere

butch · 04/05/2017 at 14:18

Took the punt on Watson. Bad call, was planning on ditching him for Pendles this week.

However the Beams situation has made me question this move so. Looking for advice.

1) Beams & Parffit for Pendles & Parsons which would mean potentially taking an even bigger hit with Watson as he probably won't hit his BE of 95, but I won't have to field a rookie

2) Watson & Parfitt for Pendles & Parsons – Which would mean holding Beams and fielding Balic.

Kinda leaning towards option 2, can possibly afford to hold Beams, I haven't dropped below 2k yet this season.

    Finnius123 · 04/05/2017 at 14:30

Watson and Beams for Pendles and Bont? Only if you have the cash. Would get rid of whoever isn't playing this week otherwise

      butch · 04/05/2017 at 14:34

      Got Bont.

Only got $100k so if I did ditch both I'd have to downgrade. I doubt there is anyone out there for $400k worth taking at the moment.

    Alec · 04/05/2017 at 15:17

Not a great week to be trading out players who are actually playing. Most coaches are going to need every warm body they can lay their hands on this weekend even if they have full 22s right now. The Supercoach Gods love to jerk us around when we are at our most vulnerable so don't be shocked if there are popular late outs. So if Watson doesn't get rested then I'd keep him and only trade him before Beams if he misses the trip to Perth.

    Moustachio · 04/05/2017 at 17:39

Get rid of Watson and Beams? Parfitt not gonna lose money like Jobe

The BONT · 04/05/2017 at 15:43

This weeks MISSION
Try to have to donuts on the ground

Damo · 04/05/2017 at 16:11

Anyone else nervous about tonight's teams? Usually I look forward to them to see which new rookies get named but this week I can barely stand to look. The trepidation is making my peptic ulcer worse.

    Jake · 04/05/2017 at 16:17

I'm a quivering mess right now Damo. I have BOTH Tobies, Nank, Beams, Parfitt, Fisher, Eddy, Barrett, Pickett and the "bad" Hibbo, in other words the complete set. Also whispers that Jobe and Dahl may miss too so my side looks more like a block of Swiss cheese than a respectable fantasy outfit.

    hedski · 04/05/2017 at 16:19

I'm half cut from watching the races in the bool, won't be able to read by 6.30.
Fair chance I'll cack my dacks in the morn tho.

Goat · 04/05/2017 at 16:17

I have a strong feeling team selections this week will compound woes with Nank Parfitt Dahl and Beams. Putting the reverse button on and waiting

    INPieman · 04/05/2017 at 17:03

I have reversed trades 93 times this week so far

Keith · 04/05/2017 at 16:29

Anyone heard rumours that Dahl will not play this weekend? One of my buddies who is tight with someone down at the Kennel reckons he will miss but I think he is full of BS. Nothing mentioned on the AFL injury list about him so I'm sure he is just trolling me.

    Mystic Mac · 04/05/2017 at 16:40

Copped a shin whilst smothering last Friday night against the Giants.. Went off the ground for a little, but returned to see out the game. Wouldn't come as a surprise if he doesn't get up this week.

    YoungOcker · 04/05/2017 at 16:41

Yep I don't believe it my self mate. Just baseless rumours formulated by some attention seeking flog I'd say.

    INPieman · 04/05/2017 at 16:55

I have heard the same rumours. Don't be surprised if he doesn't play. Time will tell. I'm sure everyone's trade plans have been thrown out the window serval times this week already. Parfitt stuffed, the double Toby layoff, then Beams…. & we haven't even gotten to teams announced yet!!! And having 3 Dockers in my team adds fear

      Derek · 04/05/2017 at 17:25

      everyone has him

        Pitch 72 · 04/05/2017 at 17:30

Yes Derek, but backup is key.

    Moustachio · 04/05/2017 at 17:38

It was on MMM before but not legit confirmed

Krazee-Eyez Killa · 04/05/2017 at 17:09

hey guys,

winning consistently in my leagues and still ranked 2089 overall after a rough couple of weeks.

I'm thinking of downgrading 2 players this week to build up some more cash. Hampton out for Melican and Hayward out for Parson.

it would leave me with the team below, 23 trades left and just under 447k in the bank.

DEF: Docherty, Laird, Z Jones, Otten, Marchbank, Newman (Williamson, Melican)

MID: Bont, Rocky, Selwood, T Mitchell, Adams, Fyfe, JPK, SPP (Fisher, Delucca Cardillo, Atley)

RUCK: Grundy, Sandilands (Strnadica)

FWD: Dahlhaus, Nank, Steele, Buddy, Butler, Balic (Eddy, Parsons)

I'm thinking with the cash cows I have, money in the bank, over the next few weeks I should be able to do 2 or 3 upgrades to premos, while still having a relatively decent scoring team.

keen on your thoughts.

    hedski · 04/05/2017 at 18:09

    Get Danger and Pendles?

    Krazee-Eyez Killa · 04/05/2017 at 23:02

I'm thinking next week Marchbank goes, Adams back in DEF, then bring in Danger to the mid. Then turn SPP into Pendles. Should be able to do that and still have a bit of money to spare

      Choice · 04/05/2017 at 23:06

      awesome trades

      Choice · 04/05/2017 at 23:06

I reckon Otten instead of marchbank though

        Krazee-Eyez Killa · 05/05/2017 at 09:19

was tossing up between Otten and Marchbank. Otten has pumped out some pretty solid scores at times. I guess marchbank probably see's the ball in his area a bit more than otten does so could have the potential for more consistent scoring

    Randomcliche2 · 05/05/2017 at 00:05

Looks pretty heavy on 11/13 bye players at first glance….keep an eye on it as you upgrade. Same # of premos and cash in bank as me. Different structure though.

Tim · 04/05/2017 at 17:53

Trading Beams out for Bont this week. Was going to trade him out around the byes, but not sure what to do with the second trade. My current bench mids are Parfitt, barratt and fisher. Should i:

Trade JOM to Parsons, but means i have to have SPP and Balic both on field and the possibility of no backup/Loophole ability
Trade Parfitt to parsons, means i have JOM and am able to Loophole SPP into Balic if Barratt isnt named

Which one community?

corey stivey · 04/05/2017 at 18:09

Thoughts on buddy and nankervis straight swap?

    YoungOcker · 04/05/2017 at 18:26

I'd try to keep Nank if you can avoid a donut. Good chance the Nank will outscore Buddy after we get through this week from hell so you are probably just wasting a trade. Also nank has that handy round 12 bye that nearly every coach needs.

johnson · 04/05/2017 at 18:28

sloane and dahl OUT

Derek · 04/05/2017 at 18:33

Rookies Down………… Simpkin, McGrath, Stewart all out of my team

    Derek · 04/05/2017 at 18:34

    No Preuss!

      Big Ben · 04/05/2017 at 19:36

Those who traded in Preuss a few weeks ago have been f*cked over alright. Dominated in the VFL last week but obviously Scotty couldn't give a toss. Doesn't want to mess with Goldy's role by the looks.

    TOPHAWK1 · 04/05/2017 at 18:52

Simpkin and Stewart perhaps just rested this week. Barrett is playing alongside Jarrod Berry this week. Happy days Derek!

Declan · 04/05/2017 at 18:38

Eddy not in does that mean he has to go?

    Randomcliche2 · 05/05/2017 at 00:09

went from my team last week, along with Barrett the week before, win some, lose some, but its been nearly impossible to get a full set of scoring rookies this year.

DefyingMadness · 04/05/2017 at 18:38

Also Newman named on extended bench so he might get the chop

    poloko48 · 04/05/2017 at 18:59

Finnius123 · 04/05/2017 at 18:39

DavidSA · 04/05/2017 at 18:39

no one told us that there was a round 7 bye

TOPHAWK1 · 04/05/2017 at 18:44

Jake Barrett is in. AT LAST.

David Myers, Brad Sheer, Ivan Soldo, Kobe Mutch, and James Stewart all named this week. Very pleased to have some rookies on show this week. Tom Stewart being omitted not ideal but he can be covered. Glad I didnt grab Zac Fisher last week. Bloody useless. So no real dramas at the selection table this week. Welcome

Bob is your uncle · 04/05/2017 at 18:52

I currently have D. Cameron as ruck cover for Nankervis but Cameron's not playing this week. I have 146k in bank, who should I get in to cover Nank?

    Dusty Spurs · 04/05/2017 at 18:56

Who is your other Ruck? Could you upgrade and swing Nank forward?

Bob is your uncle · 04/05/2017 at 19:06

        IIIII · 04/05/2017 at 20:28

        GET IVAN Ivan Soldo

    TOPHAWK1 · 04/05/2017 at 19:01

You have Nankervis right? Ivan Soldo is playing his first game mate! If you are desperate to avoid the dreaded donut, go early and trade in Soldo for Cameron. Soldo on field and Nank on the bench. Fixed!

    Randomcliche2 · 05/05/2017 at 00:15

Here is a left field option. If you bye structure is stuffed consider a Houston for Ryder, put Nank on bench. Just be careful about a late Dahl out. Use Ryder during byes and have him as a 23rd premo at the end. Assuming you have 146200 and Houston. But you get the drift.

TOPHAWK1 · 04/05/2017 at 18:57

This is true. LOL

Jackson · 04/05/2017 at 18:59

25 trades. Best Trade options?
Not sure how the Byes come into it, but out of my squad I have playing R9 – 3, R11 – 9, R12 – 6, R13 – 12
Shaw, Adams, Tuohy, Marchbank, Otten, Hampton (Hibberd, Newmann)
Pendles, Danger, JPK, Fyfe, Barrett, Swallow, P-Pepper, O'Meara (Beams, Pickett, Parfitt)
Sandi, Martin (Strnadica)
Dahl, Macrae, Taranto, Rough, Balic, Butler (Eddy, Nank)

    Declan · 04/05/2017 at 19:01

First priority is to get rid of omega and Rough, then look to offload Parfitt and beams

    Hawks · 04/05/2017 at 19:52

    O'Meara to Selwood
    Rough to Parsons

Joe T · 04/05/2017 at 19:00

Gonna get rid of one of Butler or Houston for Parsons. Who's got the better JS of the two? I'm tempted to trade out Houston since he has his bye in 2 rounds anyway, but if he can hold his spot he'll be handy cover over the main bye rounds.

    Tommy · 04/05/2017 at 19:33

Same predicament Joe. I'm ditching Houston for no other reason than Butler appears to be well liked by the Tigers

      Joe T · 04/05/2017 at 22:21

Fair call Tommy, I'm actually thinking of keeping Houston now purely for the fact that Port have no injuries and Houston is still playing. Good signs for him, and there's probably more people coming into Butler's role at Richmond.

Just got to wait for the inevitable Richmond slump!

Jimmy · 04/05/2017 at 19:01

Is it worth bringing in Martin of Grundy for ruck cover this week for Nank? Was hoping Preuss would get named so I could get one in next week cheaper, but is it worth it now to avoid the donut?

    Ben · 04/05/2017 at 21:49

I don't know but wondering the same thing. My rucks are Martin, Nank, Preuss. Could trade Beams out and with DPP shift Nank forward and bring in any Ruck. Maybe Grundy but not great value will get cheaper. Goldstein seems risky.

Or just cop a 0 this round and upgrade elsewhere where there are better value options.

haiku bob · 04/05/2017 at 19:10

Due to other more pressing trade priorities, I still have JOM. Was planning to upgrade to Pendles this week. But with Beams now injured (indefinitely) do I keep JOM and trade Beams for some extra cash that I can use to upgrade JOM to a premo next week?

    TheGreatBozza · 04/05/2017 at 21:02

I'm doing the opposite purely because Beams won't lose cash like JOM. Unless he can somehow pull out a 100, his price is like Coles – down down, prices are down (sorry for the horrible joke)

TBone · 04/05/2017 at 19:10

When will the full teams be named for sydney match this weekend? Keen to know if Newman will make the cut or if I'm copping a donut in defense. Cheers guys

If you're not trading with anyone in GWS or STK then wait til tomorrow to do your trades. After the game starts you won't be able to reverse your previous trades

      Leon · 04/05/2017 at 20:46

Even if you are trading a saint/giant you have until the lock out of every game.

Emmanuel · 04/05/2017 at 19:12

Might be too late but will give it a go as desperate for help.

I have too many players I want to move on and too many I want to bring in. I guess these decisions are the difference between a good and bad coach.

Which two from Stewart Hampton Parfit OMeera Beams Eddy Butler should I move on?

And who from Hibberd, Simpson, Docherty, Bilic, Parsons, Black or any other premium mid should I bring in?

Have 400k in bank.

Is it more important to make money on downgrades at this stage or bring in premiums?

    Lazza · 04/05/2017 at 19:42

Depends on your team as it stands. On face value; you still have rookies in that list who are playing and/or can earn reasonable cash .. Hampton & Stewart ( he will be back so use him as a loop hole).
At this stage you still need to generate cash whilst bringing in Premiums.
From your list get Docherty first. However, if you don't have Pendles and your MIDs are not complete.. get him first.
Butler has a couple of weeks of cash left and if Eddy gets a game soon you can make a quick earn and burn.
Parfitt is done for SC, so a straight swap for Parsons will earn some good mula for your next upgrade.
I pick Parsons over Black for two reasons – rate of return (he is cheaper) and the fact he was brought back in not having played for 3 weeks says he has good JS.
There are a few newbies playing this week, so the down-trade options will look brighter in a couple of weeks. Myers should be on your radar.

    Hawks · 04/05/2017 at 19:48

    Move Parfitt & O'Meara
    Get Docherty & Parsons

    Cogla13 · 04/05/2017 at 20:12

Beams and Parfitt have to go.

    WhatsaFtumch · 04/05/2017 at 20:31

    In order of importance (IMHO):

    1. Parfitt (out 8-10 weeks) – downgrade to Parsons and bank the cash
    2. Upgrade O'Meara or Beams to whoever else you want if you already have 400K – but eventually you should be looking to get Docherty/Adams/Laird into defence (whichever you don't have) and whoever you don't have of Danger, Sloane, Pendles, Ablett, Bont, Rockliff, Selwood etc into mids.

Important to try and get to full premium or as close as possible as quickly as possible (trades/injuries/money permitting of course)…if you have 400K before trades then the above trades should still leave you a shedload of cash for more trades moving forward.

Alternatively, you may have enough cash to do a double upgrade of Beams and Parfitt to 2 premiums, depending on who you choose (esp. if they're fallen promos and they've lost enough cash)

    Hope this helps, good luck!

    Emmanuel · 04/05/2017 at 20:44

Thanks guys. Forgot to mention I have parfait in the mid. Not forward so makes harder to bring in Parsons unless I move Steele McRae or Dahl into the mid. Should I do that?

    Have Adams Shaw Laird already.

Mid have Danger Bont Fyfe Treloar Beams OMeera.

Is it an issue having Pendles and Treloar?

I'm reluctant to pay 577k for Doch. Simpson or Hibberd better value?

      WhatsaFtumch · 04/05/2017 at 20:57

Well, yeah, depending on your forward line, your mids look a little light on…so maybe moving one of the above into the midfield would be a good idea for now…you can always trade in a rookie mid/fwd in the future and swap them back again…one is sure to get a game in the future

I'm not fully convinced by Hibberd, but he is good value and is about to jump up a lot in price….personally I don't think he will be a top 6 defender, but on the other hand, the money saved will help you upgrade your mids a lot quicker…Simmo could go either way, but I have a feeling that Bolton wants to play the young guys in defence a bit more so his role may suffer…

I still think you will eventually have to get Docherty (he may get a little cheaper in future but keep in mind that he's already dropped 14K this year so I'm not sure he will get much cheaper from here on in – BE is 97 this week which he should get)

SirSamuel016 · 04/05/2017 at 19:12

With 24 trades left and a duck egg looming in the ruck, I'm thinking of going Parfitt to Parsons and, a risky-ish trade, in Preuss to Goldstein. It'd save me from a duck egg, but might make it harder for me to bring in Pendles this week. Currently have 24 trades left and 90.1k in the bank. Here's the current team:

    redherringfc · 04/05/2017 at 20:13

you could try this. Parfitt out, Nank forward and bring in a premium ruck. Bench Nank for balic. You'll need some extra cash, so trade SPS, he's close to maxed out. By using dpp you could bring in any of Melican, Parsons or Black.

    Grise · 04/05/2017 at 20:24

Goldstein' break even to high this week you will loose cash and points better off downgrading pruess for Ivan Soldo Richmond who is a rooke priced rooke just 123k and guaranteed to play this week bank the 125k or so from the trade and move on. Get 40-55 points at minimum also no donut and cash

Joshua · 04/05/2017 at 19:19

Covering Beams and Nank, trading Hampton and Marchbank for EVW and Simmo.
Pretty set on holding Beams and Nank and trading Marchbank for Simmo but should I go Parsons in for Butler instead of Hampton to EVW?

    The G Train · 04/05/2017 at 19:46

Im going butler to Parsons. I think parsons job security and scoring potential is far better than EVW

    Lazza · 04/05/2017 at 21:28

Bultler's BE is higher than Hampton's… and Hampton is worth more … fine line … maths says Butler … but check out the new rookies playing this week and work out which trade now is best for you i.e are you likely to trade in a DEF or a FWD in 2 weeks time.

poloko48 · 04/05/2017 at 19:21

Have the following outs this week:

DEF: Stewart, Newman (extended bench but pretty sure he won't get named)
MID: Prestia, Beams, Fox, Fisher
RUC: Preuss
FWD: Nank, Eddy

Considering the following trade:
OUT Beams IN Pendles

Gives me 22 warm bodies, 23 trades & $75K in the bank.

My big problem is I'm off tomorrow morning to the GC for a bucks weekend and if Dahl is a late out I'll somehow need to do a second trade with beer goggles to avoid a donut.
SO, if this in fact occurs here are my options:
1. Suck up a donut
2. Get rid of a rookie out of Fox, Fisher or Eddy, none of which have maxed out, and bring in Parsons or Black.
3. Get rid of Prestia and bring in Yeo (with $700 to spare), feels kinda sideways though.
4. Get rid of Prestia and bring in Parsons or Black to get warchest of either $372K or $392K

Current team after first trade:

DEF: Adams, Simmo, Heater, Otten, Marchbank, Hampton (Stewart, Newman)
MID: Pendles, Danger, Fyfe, JPK, Treloar, JOM, Balic, Barrett (Prestia, Fox, Fisher)
RUC: Sandiwitts (Preuss)
FWD: Dahl, Macrae, Buddy, Roughy, Butler, Hannan (Nank, Eddy)

So poll time: 1, 2, 3 or 4?

    The G Train · 04/05/2017 at 19:45

I would cut Prestia, has already lost a lot of cash and doesn't look like consistently posting big scores like many thought he would. Im also not sold on Yeo, i could be wrong but im just not sold on the fact he will be a top 6 fwd at seasons end. Assuming you are swapping prestia for a mid i would go with Kelly or Parker if youre feeling risky. If swapping via DPP i would maybe swap for parsons and then upgrade another rookie fwd to a premo in the coming weeks. I have Dahl this week and am preparing to cop a 0 if he doesnt play

    Hawks · 04/05/2017 at 19:46

    2 – Parsons

    redherringfc · 04/05/2017 at 19:54

i'd take the risk and go option 1.

    Tyruddanaut · 04/05/2017 at 20:28

    3 & 2

    poloko48 · 04/05/2017 at 20:29

Stuff it, I've gone 4. Parsons in, goodbye spud Prestia. After this week, assuming Prestia comes back in next week, Tiges play Freo at home, Giants away, Bombers home before the bye. None of those will be easy so I think he'll continue to spud and leak coin. Best to cut my losses now and put the gun to his head. Next week maybe bring in Jelwood or Priddis as another R12 bye player.

      Finnius123 · 04/05/2017 at 20:41

I would have also done this. Bring in Parsons and Prestia F&*@ing sucks big time. Unfortunate but thats the way the cookie crumbles when we take risks. Like the idea of getting Jelwood next week as well. I rate this plan!

    WhatsaFtumch · 04/05/2017 at 20:44

Probably #2: Get rid of Eddy (not playing and not making cash)- trade to Parsons and bank the cash; Trade Beams to Pendles as planned

    Randomcliche2 · 05/05/2017 at 00:27

2, but if you don't want to trade, then get foot alerts on you phone. Best. App. Ever.

Whitey · 04/05/2017 at 19:23

Anyone keeping Stewart? Negative BE and only needs to score 55 in his next game to raise almost 30k.

    Derek · 04/05/2017 at 19:36

    Giant Keg · 04/05/2017 at 19:40

AFL coaches don't give a stuff about SC especially players like Stewart with a negative BE.
I am getting rid of him because I can't see him getting a game with the Cats again soon.

    redherringfc · 04/05/2017 at 20:01

    Cogla13 · 04/05/2017 at 20:15

Don't have him but would keep if it did.

    Tyruddanaut · 04/05/2017 at 20:26

I will probably get him out next week with 2 corrective trades

      Don't Blush Baby · 04/05/2017 at 20:36

Keeping this week, good for looping also

    Finnius123 · 04/05/2017 at 20:39

keeping. If newman gets named will loophole Hampton with him.

    Lazza · 04/05/2017 at 21:32

    Yep. Definite hold.

    Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 22:22

I'm only keeping because I have bigger fish balls to fry, IE: Parfitt and Beams.

    Randomcliche2 · 05/05/2017 at 00:28

Boltons Blues · 04/05/2017 at 19:26

Trading Stewart out this week, straight to Hibberd and Parson in for Pickett
300k for more upgrades and the rookies in this week will make things easier if they hang around for a few weeks

jonesy · 04/05/2017 at 19:27

had hampton out for EVW. am i better off reversing that trade and cutting loose T.Stewart now his been ommitted??
unsure if he will come back, stewarts BE is low too

    KSinny · 04/05/2017 at 19:32

Yeh it's probably best to keep anyone who is playing ATM so trade Stewart

    Tyruddanaut · 04/05/2017 at 20:25

Yeah, Hampton has another week in him

Jacob · 04/05/2017 at 19:36

Anyone else keen on spending an extra 30k on Berry over Vickers Ellis after.seeing him named R/R or am I just trolling?

    TOPHAWK1 · 04/05/2017 at 19:45

Interesting post mate! You are not trolling. He is playing his 4th game after his 62 last week. His BE is only 11 now. He actually dropped in price after he went on the bubble after round 5. (Pumped out a turd after that round with 14) After last week's stellar effort he is now making cash. He has DPP (DEF/MID) eligibility. At $147K he is only $8K more expensive then when he made his debut in round 3. Worth a look mate. Like myself, Derek has him too mate! Cheers

      Derek · 04/05/2017 at 20:00

They really really like him at the Lions.

    INPieman · 04/05/2017 at 20:08

I'd take Berry over EVW in a heartbeat. Unlikely due to other issues that it's an option on the table

    Dogs · 04/05/2017 at 21:29

He was named in the guts fir his first match and scored 28. I know, cos I played him on field

Johnny · 04/05/2017 at 19:41

What will Murphy be priced after this week?

    redherringfc · 04/05/2017 at 20:00

hoping you're looking at selling, rather than buying. He'll drop by 20-30k to 520 or so.

      Johnny · 04/05/2017 at 20:09

Yeah mate not sure whether to sell this week of the next?

        Tyruddanaut · 04/05/2017 at 20:23

    Beezneez · 05/05/2017 at 11:32

I would have traded him this week but now will have to trade Beams instead. So Murphy gets a reprieve and, when that has happened to me this year, the player concerned has smashed out a ton. I am a bit concerned about his knee but scoring 88 last week was not too bad – better than Fyfe, Danger, Treloar etc.

SF4 · 04/05/2017 at 19:41

Beams>Docherty (via Adams)

Beams>Rooey (via Macrae/Dahl)

Beams>Mid under 646k (already have Bont, Danger, Pendles, Treloar, Hanners and Fyfe)

    Hase · 04/05/2017 at 20:07

Selwood i think for ur mid

    Brian · 04/05/2017 at 20:13

I'm bringing in the Doc this week for Beams. His price will be going up soon after 149 last week. He will easily be number one defender by the end of the year. Yes Simmo and Hibbert are cheaper but the both have question marks.
Don't mess about. Get in The Doc

    Tyruddanaut · 04/05/2017 at 20:23

Wow. Good Midfield. I would actually, to the unpopular opinion, go for JJK from WCE. He is the perfect VC option in my opinion

Neverweaken · 04/05/2017 at 19:50

Hibberd or MacDonald as a keeper. Thinking TMac

Spanner · 04/05/2017 at 19:54

I caught both…

jimmy · 04/05/2017 at 19:59

What can i do to my team

DEF: Laird, Howe, Lloyd, Otten, Hampton, Newman (Marcbank, Stewart)
MID: Pendlebury, Ablett, Rockliff, Dangerfield, Fyfe, Priddis, Mundy, Fisher (Balic, Barrett, Fox)
RUCK: Nankervis, Sandilands (Strandica)
FWD: Kennedy, Macrae, Greene, Butler, Houstan, Hardwick (Parfitt, Eddy)

have 22 trades and 238k in the bank i am going to take the Nankervis 0 and work around that what trades should i make

    Tyruddanaut · 04/05/2017 at 20:21

Often ripe for picking. His average with JJ around is lower than his BE. Hampton also looking very nice to get out. But it's your choice if you want to trade him.

So, Simmo, Williams, Shaw, McGovern, Hibberd and TMac all look like good upgrades. See which one you would like but personally I would go with Kade Simpson

    redherringfc · 04/05/2017 at 20:53

trade out parfitt, bring in parsons or black. if hardwick doesn't make the cut, you'll still have a donut in the forwards as well. i'm in a similar situation, i think Eddy will be back soon and make decent money so i don't want to trade him.
if this was my team i'd get rid of Greene, mainly because his poor form at the end of last year burned me.

    TheGreatBozza · 04/05/2017 at 20:58

I'd look at Greene up to a Grundy or Martin via Nank.
Then use the 2nd trade on Parfitt to Parsons.

I think nank and a Grundy would score more than Greene and Nank.

If you still want to take the zero go Parfitt to parsons, Hampton to Shaw

    Lazza · 04/05/2017 at 21:37

You need Adams in DEF.. straight trade for Marchbank.. do it now … don't look back …

FEARTHEBEARD · 04/05/2017 at 20:02

Lads Balic or Black? Bringing in Parsons…

Anyone know their B/ES?

    BlueNath · 04/05/2017 at 20:06

you do know this info is available by clicking on their names dont you?

      Tyruddanaut · 04/05/2017 at 20:17

Not if you don't have supercoach gold. I have to go to footywire

      FEARTHEBEARD · 04/05/2017 at 20:18

      No I did not.

      FEARTHEBEARD · 04/05/2017 at 20:19

So you do know you were wrong? Just checked nothing on Black at all.

    BlueNath · 04/05/2017 at 20:23

Hmm, well i definitely do NOT have SC Gold. But in the app or on the website if I click on their name it brings up their profile with projected scores, BEs, expected price changes etc. I just assumed everyone had this??

      Finnius123 · 04/05/2017 at 20:36

That is definitely SC Gold – I have it and it amazing. I'm not sure how you sneaked through the system.

    redherringfc · 04/05/2017 at 20:42

balic is -48, parsons the same, -68. not that it really matters at the moment.

Who has the better scoring potential and js?

      BlueNath · 04/05/2017 at 21:14

For what its worth, I think Black has better scoring potential but Balic better js

Babo · 04/05/2017 at 20:05

Where is HARDWICK? AFL site didnt list him in outs or on field.

    Tyruddanaut · 04/05/2017 at 20:16

Don't worry, he is in the 7 man interchange

    BlueNath · 04/05/2017 at 20:19

Extended interchange at this stage. I feel he wont make the cut… sorry mate!

      DefyingMadness · 04/05/2017 at 20:56

I think he will make the cut one of the better players in our losses

    Babo · 04/05/2017 at 20:28

The poor bastard is probably asking himself the same question.

Cogla13 · 04/05/2017 at 20:09

Catching a Balic would have been better.

BlueNath · 04/05/2017 at 20:16

What is the latest on Dahl? Is he a definite starter?

    Top Gun · 04/05/2017 at 22:51

Rumours he may not play. Hopefully his arm is right

    Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 23:33

    Named to play.

Jimmy · 04/05/2017 at 20:27

Parfitt to Parsons, Beams to The Bont (I also have Dahlhaus and Macrae) leaves me with 69k
Parfitt to Parsons, Beams to Pendles (have treloar) leaves me with 96k

    Finnius123 · 04/05/2017 at 20:35

I am getting Bont, but doesn't really matter – they will both produce a very similar output from here. Depends on other premo's rahther than just the guys in the same team. Bye structure is everything.

    Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 22:20

Either or….is a good good thing Jimmy.

Stinga · 04/05/2017 at 20:28

Cripps or Hanners?? Really conflicted. Any other premium suggestions, let me know plz !

    Northernsoul74 · 04/05/2017 at 20:33

Lachie Neale as a bit of a pod.

    Finnius123 · 04/05/2017 at 20:34

Cripps looks set to explode and Swans suck. However hannebery is a bit more proven, whilst Cripps carried an injury into the season. I would go Cripps but its really a 50/50 ball.

    Stinga · 04/05/2017 at 20:38

Can either trade out pickett or beams for a premium mid, not sure whether to hold beams or not.

      Stinga · 04/05/2017 at 20:38

I have pendles so can't go him

    Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 21:20

JuggsJosh · 04/05/2017 at 20:32

Probably going Butler to parsons so with the second trade either
Beams to Bont or Hampton to Simmo/Adams?

    Finnius123 · 04/05/2017 at 20:34

Beams to bont. Hampton playing this week so you can afford to keep him as he will go up in cash.

josh1010101 · 04/05/2017 at 20:37

Option 1: Parfitt & otten out for Parsons and shaw/williams?

Option 2: Parfitt & otten out for higgins/heeney and vickers-willis?

Which option and which player do you think is best?

Higgins?? Seriously . How does he keep sucking people in.

Campbell · 04/05/2017 at 20:38

I have 25 trades and 285k
Looking to trade parfitt and omeara
Option 1. trade omeara to pendlebury and parfitt to balic or any other rookies and cop nanks 0
Option 2. trade omeara to someone cheaper than him and get stef martin for parfitt to avoid nanks 0
Not sure who to get for some options and what else could i do

    Finnius123 · 04/05/2017 at 23:02

I personally would go option 2.

HarryO · 04/05/2017 at 20:40

SC community is Berry a better option in my defence than melican and EVW?? his been named ruck rover and JS looks solid…
haven't watched him play so a bit unsure :/

Finnius123 · 04/05/2017 at 20:42

I am going captain Bont, VC Tex Walker. What is everyone else going? Danger no longer just a perma-skipper, so selections are very interesting this week.

    DavidSA · 04/05/2017 at 20:45

Shaw VC then Franklin or Sandi C

      KSinny · 04/05/2017 at 20:47

Dnoyes · 04/05/2017 at 20:49

Can any Brisbane fans give me a rundown on Berry? What is his job security like currently, and will he get any time in the middle? I see on the team lineups that he is listed as a follower this week.

Also what do you guys think of Melican? Will he play alongside Aliir this week, or will one of them get the axe?

    Finnius123 · 04/05/2017 at 23:01

Melican named on field so he definitely has a gig this week

Alby · 04/05/2017 at 20:50

Can get Pendles Sloane or the Bont for Beams undecided on who Pendles is cheap but will the Bont or Sloane be a better choice regardless of price.

    Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 21:18

Stick with the cheaper two, Bont or Pendles about the same for reliable points, Sloane's doing better now but will drop in price if he can't maintain it, then you pick him up.

TheGreatBozza · 04/05/2017 at 20:54

Offloading JOM and Parfitt. I've got Beams but I'd rather his donut than have JOM in my team a minute long term.

Option 1
Parfitt to Parsons
JOM to Pendlebury

Option 2
Parfitt to Parsons
JOM to Franklin/Heeney/JJK

Option 3
Parfitt to Parsons
JOM to Simpson

Personally I'm leaning to 1 or 3 as I'm not sold on the FWD promos. Currently have Dahl and Macrae as my only FWD premos with Nank at F3.

DEF premos are Shaw, Laird and Adams while MIDS are Bont, Treloar, JPK, Fyfe & Danger

josh1010101 · 04/05/2017 at 20:54

Who do you guys think is that best backline option Hibberd, Williams or Shaw?

    TheGreatBozza · 04/05/2017 at 20:55

In that order because Shaw is proven, Williams has the upside then Hibberd is consistent

Really depends on your current team structure and trades etc., but cash gen is key so doing two trades might be the way to go. Therefore, options 1 and 3 are best based on your limited info πŸ™‚

In other news, looks like I’ll have to play Hannan on field up fwd this week.. Supercoach hasnt been kind this year.

Is ed vickers willis the best defensive downgrade option this week??

    Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 22:06

Bummer, I was gonna buy that game, but most AFL games are shite so……, in answer to your question, Lewis Melican's named to start on field for Sydney, he's a big 190cm 95kg defender. Thanks for the game review!, you saved me some money πŸ™‚

Nothing worse than a very very limited commentary repetoir in a sports game.

    Randomcliche2 · 04/05/2017 at 22:38

Trade Murphy at this price while I can and cop 0s from beams and nank or Trade Beams this week and trade murphy at a lower price next week?

Take the doughnut and address other issues, like getting in some cash generating rookies or getting rid of Beams and Parfitt etc.
Chances are whoever you're playing might be getting a doughnut or two too.

      Derek · 04/05/2017 at 23:00

      I've traded Preuss

        Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 23:15

Not a bad idea Derek, if you didn't have more pressing issues, thinking of doing the same myself soon, 262k on the bench seems like a waste, who'd you trade him for?

        Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 23:49

Preuss for Soldo this week would net ya a tidy sum of cash, regardless of whether or not he plays again, and avoid the big 0.

Macka · 04/05/2017 at 22:10

Should i bring in Dyson Heppell or Clayton Oliver for parfitt?

    Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 22:11

    Red Wranger boy!…Oliver for Brownlow!

    TOPHAWK1 · 04/05/2017 at 22:19

    Brandon Parfitt has to go.

If you can afford Pendles/Ablett than choose one.

If not, it is Clayton Oliver all the way.

Tough, match hardened/fit, young/youth, and no emotional baggage.

Jake.B · 04/05/2017 at 22:12

My plan is to downgrade SPP to Myers when he's on the bubble. Which will be r9 when SPP has his bye!

    Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 22:16

Good plan, but keep an eye on both of them until then, SPP could get more reliable and Myers could be a complete dud.

      Jake.B · 05/05/2017 at 07:01

No doubt. SPP has turned out 40-50 scores consecutively so aslong as Myers does better than that I'll be happy

    Cogla13 · 05/05/2017 at 07:05

My plan is to keep SPP through all the byes.

    Dildor · 05/05/2017 at 08:49

You might have stumbled across the most popular plan of 2017.

Jeremy · 04/05/2017 at 22:21

Tossing up Zac Williams, Kade Simpson, Jake Lloyd and to a lesser extent, McGovern. Opinions on these four?

    Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 22:42

I have had Lloyd from day dot, and not regretted a thing about that, so….Simmo , I had all last year and didn't regret a thing, Zac Williams , I wished I'd also had, he seems to be getting better, and taking points away from Shaw….McGovern would be my last choice, but also looks better this year…so, yeah!

Maybe consider Hurley too, could be a good POD option.

    TOPHAWK1 · 04/05/2017 at 22:42

If you do not have Sam Docherty, then grab Kade Simpson at his $492K price. Bargain.

If you do have the Doc, then think twice…..the byes are coming……

Jeremy McGovern is a very nice bye friendly option. The intercept mark king!!!

Nick · 04/05/2017 at 22:25

Trade out Houston or butler?
Cheers community!

    Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 22:33

Neither….they're both getting a game, but I'd trade Butler if I had to pick one, Richmond set to get reamed by Bulldogs this week.

      DefyingMadness · 05/05/2017 at 01:24

Bulldogs are overrated and out of form I think Richmond will beat them

    TheScacman · 05/05/2017 at 08:41

If you're going to trade one, i'd give Butler away assuming you've got fwd bench cover, Houston will be handy through the byes

Oliver · 04/05/2017 at 22:27

Hey Community! In need of some help here.

My current team structure:

I was going to upgrade WHE this week + thinking of trading in another rookie on the bubble but injuries/suspensions are killing me.

Any advice? My back line needs help since T.Stewart is not playing and Newman might be getting the chop.

    Ja191 · 04/05/2017 at 22:41

firstly WHE is expected to rise $42k this week, you'd be silly to trade him out. from there you have to decide what your priority is. I'm in a similar situation.. take nanks 0, maybe beams upgrade/hampton to williamson/simpson? tricky.

      Oliver · 04/05/2017 at 23:01

Yeah, I double downgraded last week in preparation of trading WHE this week but he went off and now he's B/E is quite low.

I wanted to wait on a mid upgrade because the ones I want are still quite expensive (Bont/Sloane/Rocko etc). Very tricky indeed πŸ™

    JohndJames · 05/05/2017 at 00:22

No way trade WHE,he's still getting a game and making cash, you must have more pressing trades to do,like trading out Parfitt for Parsons.

Shizzer · 04/05/2017 at 22:34

Beams and parfitt out for parsons and which premo mid?

    Lazza · 04/05/2017 at 22:39

Depends on who you have in the middle now… if you don't have Pendles then get him.

      Shizzer · 04/05/2017 at 22:55

      Cheers I'm leaning towards Pendles

    Ja191 · 04/05/2017 at 22:51

Hanners, cripps, pendles, dusty, oliver, kennedy, wines.. list goes on.. really just a gut feeling. (pendles would be priority if you don't have him)

    TOPHAWK1 · 04/05/2017 at 22:53

    Scott Pendlebury.

    If you are price sensitive.

    If you are risk friendly,

    Gary Ablett.

      Shizzer · 04/05/2017 at 22:56

Yes ablett is risky but very tempting

    Pman · 04/05/2017 at 23:22

I've gone Parfitt to Parsons and Beams to Pendles….he wont be this cheap again and scores well against Carlton with 143, 158 and 161 in hist last 3 if you don't mind!

Lazza · 04/05/2017 at 22:57

Which RUC to replace Nankervis who I will move to F8? I can afford any of them. Trading in Pendles too.
Martin, Grundy or Jacobs? Not looking at Mummy cos I reckon he will miss games.
Martin and Grundy will lose between 10 and 20k this week, but that's only 2 to 4 points so I reckon that's a better outcome than taking a donut on Nankervis.
I'll use Parfitt to bring in Myers later. Will miss on Parsons, but score 2 Premos. Thoughts?

    Choice · 04/05/2017 at 23:12

    I'd go Martin

Steve · 04/05/2017 at 23:02

    Choice · 04/05/2017 at 23:04

    re-assessing after 2 weeks

    Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 23:26

    2 weeks, to infinity weeks.

    Hubba · 05/05/2017 at 00:30

with his quad history, they will play it safe – i cant see him coming back before their bye

Choice · 04/05/2017 at 23:04

Trade 1: O'meara out, Dahlhouse to mids, bring in Parsons
Trade 2: Otten out, Berry in for the double downgrade 670k in the kitty and Pendles and another promo in next week.
Trade 1 the same
Trade 2 : Beams to Pendles leaving 345k
Just going for League and should have an easy win regardless this week

    Lazza · 05/05/2017 at 09:53

How many Premo's do you have now? If you have less than 13 Premos plus two pseudo Premos (just under $500k) such as a Simpson, MCrouch, ZWilliams, JLloyd, Nankervis, Sandilands, ZWilliams, JSteven et el, then I'd be taking Pendles this week.

Russty_ · 04/05/2017 at 23:30

Option 2, Pendles in means Pendes in for good, Berry in means more cash yes but maybe he doesn't play again, burning you in the future.
Plus Otten is playing this week and could continue to do well, and O'Meara is crap and has to go regardless.

Trade Murphy this week and cop a donut from Beams or Trade Beams this week and trade Murphy next week at a much lower price?

    KSinny · 05/05/2017 at 08:29

    Trade beams keep murph

The BONT · 05/05/2017 at 07:18

If you have the cash would you take Bont over Pendles or not

    TheScacman · 05/05/2017 at 08:39

Pendles first, wont get him cheaper than this you'd think, Bont will sit around the 580-620 mark for most of the year, whereas Pendles will increase by 50K or so within a couple of weeks

dext · 05/05/2017 at 07:20

so many trade options this week, i double downgraded last week so want to do one up, one down this week.

FIrst decison is whether downgrade Otten to Melican or Houston/Butler to Parsons.

Then for my upgrade I can get Bont for Beams/Parfitt, a premium forward (not sure which one to go) for Roughead/Houston/Butler or Simpson/Docherty/Shaw in for Otten.

    Mich · 05/05/2017 at 08:05

Youre in the same position as me. Im trying figure out who is less likely to be dropped in the coming weeks out of parsons and melican

    TheScacman · 05/05/2017 at 08:36

Smart move would be to trade Roughead down to Parsons this week, both rookies still have a little bit left in them and Roughead is struggling as a result of poor delivery. Smart move would then to be to bring in Bont into the guts, or Pendles if you don't have him yet

The BONT · 05/05/2017 at 07:22

Who gets the VC Bont or Danger

    Ja191 · 05/05/2017 at 07:34

Liam · 05/05/2017 at 07:47

Beams to Bont (cop nank donut)
Preuss to Stef Martin (play Barrett)

    Travo · 05/05/2017 at 09:15

Bring in Martin, I'm not a fan of donuts.

    Lazza · 05/05/2017 at 09:59

I agree with Travo … if you can avoid a donut by bringing in a RUC premo then do it. Then Nank can slot into your FWD … He is still in the top 6 FWDs. (If you ignore the 1 gamers Pedersen and KStevens).

Alby · 05/05/2017 at 07:49

Trade Beams or JOM, if I trade JOM I will have to play Barrett if I trade Beams I will have have to field JOM I am wanting to trade Pendels in for either of those 2 community thoughts would be appreciated.

Jack · 05/05/2017 at 07:50

Beams to Pendles and Otten to Docherty bang bang

red5 · 05/05/2017 at 08:31

Butler or Houstan into Shaun Higgins?
Good trade or wait one more week and try to get Yeo?

Thebandit7 · 05/05/2017 at 08:33

Best option to cover nank this weekend? Have preuss as bench ruck who I can trade with Boyd. Will leave me with only 21 trades. Or should I just take the donut? Projected is about 2100.

Also wanting to downgrade JOM, but that's another trade I don't think I can afford to use. How many should I have when it comes to bye rounds?

    Daniel Z · 05/05/2017 at 10:05

All depends how many premos are in your side. If you're on 21 trades and still only have 13-14 premos, you're in trouble. If you've already got 16 premos, 20 trades should be enough.

Chalie · 05/05/2017 at 08:38

SHARK MOVE this week. Bringing Hannan onto the field- with any luck he gets more than 30.. How the hell did he score that 96??

    Dildor · 05/05/2017 at 08:47

I actually thought he played pretty well last week, kicked 3.1 and only scored 53. Thought the score didn't quite reflect his performance.

      Captain Risky · 05/05/2017 at 09:03

That's why I'm worried!! Can't see him kicking 3 every week, although he's up against Hawthorn, so anything is possible !

      Cogla13 · 05/05/2017 at 16:24

Andrew · 05/05/2017 at 08:43

Plan going into the week was Parfitt to Parsons and then Otten to Shaw.

Now given Beams' injury unsure whether to upgrade him to premium mid. I started the year with Pendles and Bont so no need to bring them in, can use all of the kitty to get Selwood (can afford $609k) but can't afford Rockliff for another week and have no obvious downgrade option heading into next week.

Do I stick with my original plan or do I bite the bullet and use all cash on Selwood this week, even with the knowledge he will likely drop in price or am I best to wait for either Rocky or Selwood to drop and try an orchestrate another downgrade next week, albeit a risky one by trading in someone like Myers before the bubble….

    TOPHAWK1 · 05/05/2017 at 09:02

Parfitt to Parsons is a no brainer. Doing the same. Parfitt is out for 10 weeks and is of no further relevance.

The second part of your plan is tricky. The fact you have Pendles is a bonus for you. (I dont, Gotta get him either this week or next)
Personally, I am not optimistic about the outlook for Dayne Beams. He has a quad injury (soft tissue) and can take a while to heal. I reckon there is a possibility he will not be back until after the bye. I am looking to trade him out this week.

Do you have a DPP swing between your backline and midfield? If you do, you could consider trading out Beams and grab Shaw that way. I am keeping Otten around because he is playing and his BE is still OK AT 56. If Jenkins rains on his parade this week, then I will cull Otten next week.

I would not trade in Jellwood this week. Just not a value for money option for mine. Wait until his price levels out.

      Andrew · 05/05/2017 at 09:29

Thanks for the reply. I have Adams who I can swing into the midfield and go sideways Beams to Shaw, but I'm reluctant to do that as I'm quite cash-poor at the moment. If I were to get rid of Beams for a defender my next-best mid upgrade in terms of price is JOM and I'd have to find another ~200k in a downgrade next week to bring in a premium mid, which I just don't think I can find!

By keeping Beams for a week I only have to find 100k, which is much easier (e.g. burning a Stewart or SPP, albeit before they have maxed out). In a perfect world my plan was to axe SPP at his bye for Myers for 200k profit.

Beams has to go, I agree with you on his outlook (rare that a quad is anything less than 4 weeks), it's just a question of when and for whom, at the best price as possible given the circumstances!

    One Touch Wonder · 05/05/2017 at 09:30

Look at Pridiss, especially if you need a Round 12 player for the byes. WCE have a few tough games coming up at home, I can see him racking up some huge tackle numbers. SHARK MOVE get him $30k cheaper than start of year.

    Lazza · 05/05/2017 at 10:02

Plenty of time for Rocky… his BE this week is 205… he will take a big hit on price … so will be affordable in the next couple of weeks…. if you really want him…

donn17984 · 05/05/2017 at 08:44

Beams out, 740K in bank, who to bring in? Do I go all out for Slone, Merrett, Rocky, Treloar?
or G. Ablett and I'll save 100K for next week? surely he will score big against the cats, ?

    TOPHAWK1 · 05/05/2017 at 08:50

If you have Scott Pendlebury, (He is a must get this week) then why not look for value in your backline? Heath Shaw and Kade Simpson are as cheap as chips this week. If you have the DPP option, then you could have a serious look at these blokes if you do not have one/either of them. Gary Ablett is very tempting, but because of his upcoming bye, I have resigned to the fact that I will have to pay more for him after the bye but if warranted, will be bloody worth it. Cheers

      donn17984 · 05/05/2017 at 09:05

Don't have Pendlebury, should I go him or the other top premos? and already have Shaw. No one on the bench so only can look at the midfield options due to beams injury and some reshuffling of DPP to fied my side

Cheers mate how about Preuss to T.Boyd or Ivan Sol.Nank is benched Holding him until next week
Solo will leave me with more cash for next next week?

        TOPHAWK1 · 05/05/2017 at 09:48

You dont have Pendles. Well, then he should be your super premo midfielder pick this week IMO. He is brilliant value at $577K. If you get someone like Sloane, you will be paying top price mate. Wait until he is better value.

Take the Nank donut mate. Soldo will probably only play this week to cover for Nankervis. He will probably be out next week when the Nank returns. High risk of wasting a trade right there. Not sure about Pruess to Boyd either. Probably best to leave that alone as well for the time being. Cheers mate.

Tom · 05/05/2017 at 09:01

Do you recon Pendles will get his BE this week? I can't bring him in this week, but can next. If he does get his BE will he be $600k again?

    TOPHAWK1 · 05/05/2017 at 09:06

No. If he touches his BE his price remains the same. For him to be back at $600K he would have to do a Gary Ablett and score 200+ points. Very likely to still be excellent value next week even if he backs up with another 150. (Around $585K)

      Tom · 05/05/2017 at 09:08

      Thanks mate

The Ranger · 05/05/2017 at 09:18

Same question has been bugging me all week and I'm no closer to making a decision so I need help Community…
Got Nank in the ruck and no cover. Money is no problem, I double downgraded last week in the hope of doubling up this week.
Do I get Mummy or Stef now despite having to pay overs?
Cop the donut?
Or bring in a T.Boyd/C.Sinclair type and hope they make me a bit of cash?
Not keen on this last option as it locks in another trade.
Leaning toward the Mummy option…

    The Ranger · 05/05/2017 at 09:19

I should also add that I would be keeping Nank on the fwd bench and getting Mummy via Parfitt's DPP.
    Not trading Nank.

      One Touch Wonder · 05/05/2017 at 09:26

Get Jacobs. He is finding form, looks fresh and fit in a very good team. And less than $480k. 3% of teams. SHARK MOVE written all over it.

        The Ranger · 05/05/2017 at 10:38

I did have a look at him One Touch. Then I looked at Old Ockers spreadsheet…
Not sure I have the conjones.

      INPieman · 05/05/2017 at 09:27

I'm not keen on Mummy at that price. The key concern is his playing history. Or lack of it. My concern with Stef is Archie Smith. When he plays Stef's scores halve. Personally it's only 1 week I'd take the donut. It's not a coincidence Grundy has tonned up when Cox doesnt play & hasn't tonned up when he does. Rucks are tough this season. Boyd & Sinclair pass

        Lazza · 05/05/2017 at 10:20

How do you come to that conclusion INP? Martin & Smith have only played in 1 game together – R21 last year which was a return game from injury for Martin. Smith was likely only in for insurance. Hardly a reasonable sample.
Also suggests they are unlikely to be in the same team for any length of time. There aren't too many teams with 2 rucks at the moment … some you could say have none … so fielding 2 rucks would be detrimental to the team structure or a luxury..,

        The Ranger · 05/05/2017 at 10:36

I'm not keen on either of those two at that price Pieman, if either one had dropped 50K I'd probably go for it but paying overs on either of them doesn't sit well with me. I was leaning toward Mummy as he manged 21 games last year but he does always play the game like an accident waiting to happen. Martin plays for Brisbane so he's gonna throw in the odd crap score like last week when they have a bad game.
        Might be a donut. Yuk.

DEE · 05/05/2017 at 09:40

Trades haven't changed
Moved 16000 spots last week into top 4000
Murphy thanks for you service you have been great but bringing in Ablett for $30k more.

Ditto Ottens. $30K bringing in Hibberd

Don't have beams as started Murphy and one of Butler or balic can cover for nankervis.

next week or so either bring in Danger or Rocky for Josh Kelly moving SPP down to Myers

midfield will then be complete.
Pendlebury, Sloane, Bontempelli, Fyfe, JJK, Ablett, Zorko and probably Dangerfield.

Pretty happy with that lot.

    Lazza · 05/05/2017 at 10:23

You should be.. gun midfield … What does you DEF line look like?

      DEE · 05/05/2017 at 10:42

Simpson, Laird, Lloyd, Jones, Marchbank, and now Hibberd. I have Hampton and Newman on the bench.

Next two upgrades I am thinking Marchbank to Adams and then Newman to Docherty after his bye.

Just realised there are a lot missing Rd 11! hadn't looked that far ahead.
The rest of team have 6 rd 11 bye players.
      Is this too many?

Do I not trade in Hibberd this week and hold Otten?

Travo · 05/05/2017 at 09:51

Alright, I gotta trade in a ruck this week. Luckily I have the funds to take the pick of the bunch.
Who do you lot rate as the best to go with this year?

I was leaning towards Mummy as he is putting up consistently good scores off low possession games and think that he is on the verge of going BIG but is very expensive at present.

Stefan Martin I'm not overly convinced on but apart from his stinker last week has looked the goods.

Grundy was my target at the start of the year but hasn't produced since Mason Cox started getting game time.

Goldy has been lackluster to say the least but we know what he is capable of and is dirt cheap right now.

What are your thoughts?

    One Touch Wonder · 05/05/2017 at 10:03

Get Jacobs. He is finding form, looks fresh and fit in a very good team. And less than $480k. 3% of teams. SHARK MOVE written all over it.

      Travo · 05/05/2017 at 10:14

I do like your thinking One Touch Wonder, just don't know if he can improve from here.
I get the feeling what we've seen is what we are going to get with Jacobs. I will take him into consideration.

    Dice · 05/05/2017 at 11:10

Same boat Trav. I'm taking the risk with Mummy and he's a pod.
Was gonna get Stef Martin but didn't see Brisbane game last week so not sure.
The plus with Martin is he and all mids had a downer last week so surely its a one off

      Steeeve · 05/05/2017 at 11:16

I was so close to choosing Martin at the start of the year, looking an absolute bargain. But going in without Gawn I felt Martin was too risky and took Goldy. Goldy turned to Witts (after Witts already had one price rise) after looking terrible and honestly he still does. I regret a few of those starting decisions but that might be the main one.
Others include Treloar over Sloane, Shaw over Doc, Roughie over WHE… and basically all my rookies.

    Lazza · 05/05/2017 at 11:46

Same dilemma. But I'm starting to consider Goldy… because of the next 5 game outlook. Grundy has a hard stretch … and Goldy's looks pretty good as does Mummy's. Can see Goldy's price going up and Mummy's not coming down.
Martin vs Naismith, McEvoy, Jacobs, Grundy, BYE
Grundy vs Kreuser, Mummy, McEvoy, Martin, Sandilands

Hey all, so I've got a trade to use either on my defence or midfield. I've only got the 1 donut this week with Nank even though Beams is injured. Thankfully Barrett came in. I have pendles so no need to grab him. Should I upgrade someone like otten or even stewart in the backline to simpson? Or upgrade beams or pickett in the midfield to a premium mid? Thinking maybe Oliver or Hannebery ?

Any suggestions would be great ! Cheers

    Travo · 05/05/2017 at 10:58

Can't really go wrong with Oliver or Hanners at their price. I'd say Hanners for POD.

      Free kick · 05/05/2017 at 13:34

Agree that Oliver or Hanners are both good inclusions, but Stewart for Simpson would be a very solid trade ..

    redherringfc · 05/05/2017 at 14:14

i'd keep stewart. he has a stack of money still to make. Otten is probably going to start to score poorly due to jenkins being back (so i've read on these pages and looking at weeks 1 and 6) He's been in and out of my team all week, i'll probably hold him til next week as his break even is around 50. (which is probably what he will score)

AuroraBorealis?! · 05/05/2017 at 11:30

Hey fellas, just need a little bit of help with a rookie selection:
Is it better to trade out Otten and get in EVW or trade out Butler for Parsons? I feel like Otten is going to have a much lower average now that Jenkins is back in the side and he's reached almost max cash, however is Parsons a better option that EVW? I haven't watched either of them play so im just going off averages here, any help would be much appreciated, cheers

    Brian · 05/05/2017 at 13:16

Personally I would give ottens another week. His numbers were not that bad last week. He was let down by his kicking. He will certainly make his break even this week. So wait another week and we should know for sure.
Also I think parsons looks better than EVW.

H Lee · 05/05/2017 at 11:55

trade in ablett or the bont for beams? already have pendles

    Free kick · 05/05/2017 at 13:10

Ablett is a risk but still one of the best footballers going around.. The reward could be huge… Go for it !!

    Nick · 05/05/2017 at 13:27

tybrisbane · 05/05/2017 at 12:43

Currently 158th. Trading my ass off atm. Bringing in Parsons for Pickett and Pendle for Beams. 225K salary remaining. I plan to downgrade 1 cash cow and upgrade 1 cash cow per week from now on.

    Free kick · 05/05/2017 at 13:08

Congrats on the rank… Go for glory !

Big G · 05/05/2017 at 13:05

Yeo-Yeo or Handsome Higgins?

    Free kick · 05/05/2017 at 13:14

Had my doubts on Yeo, but is in great form and pumping out some big scores..Take a punt ..

    Cogla13 · 05/05/2017 at 16:16

I went Beams to Yeo because I couldn't afford Pendles. Bit risky because they are away this week but the Eagles have won 4 of the last 5 in Adelaide.

Brian · 05/05/2017 at 13:09

Are you feeling ok?

Free kick · 05/05/2017 at 13:12

Stop !!

Sellars1226 · 05/05/2017 at 13:21

JOM and Otten > Simpson and Balic

JOM and Otten > Adams and Balic

Both strong options but I'm leaning towards Simpson a bit. Thoughts?

Nick · 05/05/2017 at 13:26

Hi Community,
Can you please tell me your thoughts:
Option 1- Trade Beams for Bont and have a donut in the fwd line
Option 2- play Barrett and trade in Balic or Black

    Sellars1226 · 05/05/2017 at 13:42

    Get the Bont

Relton · 05/05/2017 at 14:12

hampton, otten or marchbank whose the player to lose there head for EVW this week??
I'll lose my head if i cant figure this out soon!

    Krazee-Eyez Killa · 05/05/2017 at 17:01

I personally chose Hampton. Inconsistent, IMO

Goat · 05/05/2017 at 14:12

Is it too late for Balic? It seems to me that although I did not get in pre rd 3, he should have good JS and may even provide bench cover later in season? Parfitt has to go but should I pull that trigger this week? Thoughts appreciated.

Alby · 05/05/2017 at 14:17

what is JOM B/E and how much will he drop in price does anyone know

    redherringfc · 05/05/2017 at 14:31

    104. he's projected at 60 with a loss of close to 20k.
since you haven't traded him yet, i'd suggest to hang on for a few weeks, until he gets injured again or gets dropped.
He should bounce back to some degree. He has a round 13 bye, which could be handy.

redherringfc · 05/05/2017 at 14:26

i had the plan, like many, to bring Pendles in this week, but I'm pretty sure it has to be Sloane instead. He is scoring incredible points every week, except his 77 against gws in round 1. He is averaging close to 20 points a week more than Pendles. 20 extra points wins league matches. I might have to wait on Pendlebury, but his round 13 bye is inconvenient.

    Krazee-Eyez Killa · 05/05/2017 at 17:01

this year is the first time I've ever gone into a SC season without Sloane as one of my first picked. annoying

Adam · 05/05/2017 at 15:53

Already got pendles and the bont in the mid but who should i trade in for beams?

Any other suggestions?

    Cogla13 · 05/05/2017 at 16:13

Dusty has the round 12 bye and is underpriced. Good option. Wouldn't consider Ablett until after his round 9 bye.

Big G · 05/05/2017 at 17:33

Nic Newman gone to add to the carnage.

Jim · 05/05/2017 at 17:40

I have both Nankervis and Preuss out in the ruck. Should I trade one of them?
Already used a trade on Parfitt.

Fiona · 05/05/2017 at 18:06

is it too early to cull McGrath??

    Dean · 05/05/2017 at 19:25

it is but I'm going to do it if I chose to bring in two rookies this week. However if I decide to paint the fence I wont trade him out yet.

    It's very confusing.

Dean · 05/05/2017 at 19:20

I need some help with making a decision community, Currently ranked 791 – with $217,000 in the kitty.
PLEASE all comments welcome. This is my current team prior to trades in Round 7.

DEF: Laird, Shaw, Otten, Marchbank, Hampton, Newman (McGrath, Stewart)
MID: Sloane, Bont, Pendles, Danger, Titch, Heppell, Fyfe, Pepper (Pickett, Barrett, Fisher)
RUCK: Nank, Sandilands (Strnadica)
FWD: Dahlhaus, Macrae, Lynch, WHE, Houston, Butler (Parfitt, Eddy)

Option 1: Parfitt to Parsons
Butler to Steff Martin via DPP
Which will bring NANK into my FWD line for next week also means I will only have 22 playing IF Newman or Stewart end up playing otherwise I will have only 21 players. This will leave me with $66,000

Option 2: Parfitt to Parsons
McGrath to either Melican or EVW
If I bring in two rookies such as this, would mean I would have to take a DEFINITE doughnut with NANK in the ruck & have one less PREMO such as Martin playing for this week but I will have $570k in the kitty.

Advice greatly appreciated in advance. · 25/05/2017 at 10:44
