I had the VC on Dahlhaus, but he didn't exactly light the world on fire last night, so who do I plant the C on?
Dangerfield or Fyfe? or do I roll the dice on Buddy?
Reckon your dice roll was on Dahl mate. Wouldn't go Buddy. Prefer Fyfe because of his record but Danger is bloody Danger. Went nuts in the last quarter after 3 quiet ones last week
Hope you didn't go Buddy or Fyfe.
… Or Danger. 80 is the new green light accept VC score, wtf!
I went exactly the same, Dahl VC then put the C on Fyfe (over Pendles) . What an epic mistake!
Such an angry man Green is
I had Taranto as E with no non-playing forwards, so thinking of trading parfitt to parsons in order to get the Taranto 87. Parsons should be back next week surely. Good call or bad call ?
I like it. I'm in a similar situation with Butler. Done a great job for me this year but Tigers have the Crows over there so I'm doubting he score that high.
Is a trade worth 87 pts less what parfitt will score? I reckon it's a bad call
Parfitt is almost topped out in terms of cash generation and would need to be moved on soon anyway. Parsons on the bubble and should be back in next week. Think it's win/win
may not get in with black there
Bad call. Not worth wasting a trade for 20 to 30 points more than your onfield rookie would score.
Strongly advise to hold!! Parfitt with relatively low be of 39. Wasting a trade for the sake of 10-30 points and parsons mightn't come back in next week. "Should" has burnt myself and I'm presuming many a supercoacher. Should is what brought down the great Greek warrior Achilles. The only invulnerable part on Achilles armour was his ankles. Don't leave your ankles exposed
I reckon it's a good idea.
Parfitt hasn't got much cash gen left and Parsons looked a good prospect. You'll probably be looking at that exact same trade over the next 2 weeks in any event.
Big call two say a two gamer will be rushed back in. Geelong will probably be 6-0 and Menzel will be back. Menegola has returned. Black was one that wasn't playing when Parsons was. Scooter is playing VFL this week.
No good. Don't go there. Too many moving parts.
Not a good idea, nor worth the trade. Trading out a player rookie yet to peak for a non playing rookie that will find it hard to get back into the cats side.
Hahahahahahaha. Good to see the ol' Risk v Reward O'Meter being repurposed in such a breathtaking way.
Just went Parfitt to Fisher to free up some cash.27 trades left now with 166k inside the top 3%, Balic is a man of my priority. I have rookies such as SPP, Pickett, Barrett, Houston, Eddy and Hannan. Do I hold off a week from trading out those boys or roll the dice and go SPP> Balic?
Hit those trade levers mate! I like it. Just be mindful of the rookies you are trading out however to get Balic and Fisher. Derek has the philosophy which I strongly believe in. 'IF THEY PLAY THEY STAY". As Parfitt and SPP are both playing this round why not keep them around a bit longer? Why not consider Pickett to Fisher in the midfield and Eddy to Balic in your forward line. You are still putting cash in your warchest and now you have mainly playing rooks that are all generating you cash! Only Barrett is a non player now which you can use for some loopholing in the next week or two and is likely to come back and play soon anyway.
Just some food for thought. Cheers mate.
Yeah ended up going Parfitt to Fisher (Breakeven of 39 and he really will get about 50-60 over the next 3 weeks) and went Pickett to Balic. Thinking about going powell pepper to aaron black via dpp next week if he goes well. We will see, cheers mate
Beautiful. You have the two key rooks now. Pickett to Balic is like stealing candies from a baby. Parfitt to Fisher is OK, but I probably would have flicked Eddy for him instead (DPP). Aaron Black will be interesting. If he goes big, then it will throw up a curve ball for me next week. Do I still go the double premo upgrades or only one as I have to grab Black on the bubble?? This game makes grown men cry!
All depends on how Black goes this week and how people like Parsons etc affect his job security mate. The end goal is always to reach full premo ASAP, but in saying that, you need cash to do so
Black on the bubble.
Roll the dice!!
Looking like the Bont is the real deal, well with Champion Datas backing anyway. Only needs 20 touches and couple of goals for 130. Making the call that he will be a top 10 mid and won't be under $600k for a while so I will probably get him in
On SEN 2 weeks ago they had a bloke on from champion data on. He was asked why they love Bont. His average turnover rate in 1 in 19 possessions. Similar to Pendles. There both in a league of there own in that regard. A 1 in 8 turnover rate is considered excellent. That's why Bont doesn't need much of it. He's damaging to the extreme when he gets it. That overhead handball last night was awesome
Plus the goals and contested marks. Gold
Yep. He can do it all. Won't be long till he's posting Gary at his peak numbers
Bont SC man crush.
I'll sell my mrs to get him in.
Interesting, that makes me more confident in bringing him in next week
Went to the game in Canberra and he was amazing to watch live
He just needs to hold a couple more of the contested marks. He drops some he should take
Love him and his disposals are so good and efficient
Bonti and Pendles get points just for bloody breathing.
Hi community!
Love it Jock. The floggometer……….Bloody Toby Greene. Be a few coaches flogging themselves this morning after trading that dick-head in last night.
Onto more important matters, another Saturday morning has rolled around and its D Day for many coaches on the trading front. I am sitting here staring at my team looking at D Swallow and Pickett. They are the two current liabilities in my team. Both pric-ks are going TODAY.
One trade is pretty straight forward. I don't have Balic. Pickett to Balic. Easy. No dramas there.
It is the second trade which kept me awake last night. David Swallow. I already have a juicy $330K in my warchest. All week I have been spouting Swallow OUT and Hannebery IN. But when I got up this morning, something in my gut was bugging me. That question was and still is-
Do I really really need Hannebery this week? Do I have to grab him right now? With my earlier emotions aside, the answer is probably NO. He still has a BE of 109. He is slightly better than even money to hit that. As such, his price range next week would sit somewhere in the range of $530 and $560K. Even if he goes 150+ today, he will only be $15 to $20K more expensive then he is today. BUT HE IS STILL CHEAP. Potentially paying the slight extra for him might be worth it as I now know that I have rock solid clarity that this SC beast is back in form. It will also give me another week to look at the likes of Patrick Cripps, Dustin Martin, Luke Parker, Scott Pendlebury, etc. A week is a long time in football as we all know. Perhaps some of these blokes will go big this round and could change the whole premo midfield upgrade scenario.
Based on the above, I am seriously considering trading David Swallow down to Zac Fisher today. Rookie cash generation remains a key priority especially after missing Tom Williamson last week. This move would generate another $216K and swell my coffers to $550K for next week's double premo upgrades. Likely Marchbank to Shaw and potentially Sam Powell Pepper for that fallen midfield ultra premo. Shaw will bottom out in price at around $483K and he is a must get next week. (Michael Hibberd has to do something BIG and I mean REALLY BIG this week to overtake Shaw for that upgrade)
Feel free to critique my analysis as I still have a few hours to think and ponder before pulling the trade levers.
Cheers
Love it Hawk, agree 100% with your theory about perhaps going Swallow to Fisher. Double premo upgrades are some of the things in life that simply can't get much better! Hanners imo will be a top 10-15 mid, not a top 8 whereas the likes of the other fallen premiums such as Pendles, Dusty and Cripps I believe have more potential. Best of luck champ
Cheers mate! Thanks for the feedback. Feeling better about about the double downgrade move later already!
I'm grabbing hanners today …. went Bowes to Balic to do so , and got fisher last week ….. time for me to get an ultra premo and I think hanners is that man
That's fair enough Shaneo, especially as you grabbed Fisher last week.
agree with your analysis .Hanners not an immediate in.Shaw yes this week. Also going to check out Hibberd.I think both Pickett and Norths Hibbert are in valuable as DPPs and will keep worthless anyway.Pendles looks a must get in R8 Was lucky to miss a bullet with Greene definite flog was coming in as insurance for R 9 bye as I have Lynch and 3 rooks. Cripps Parker and Dusty behind Pendles unless he is injured. Still looking for a bench forward and may look at BLACK next week cats chased hard for him but Menegola etc could spoil him needs a good game Good luck after last week Cheers
It is SO DAMN HARD to do the 'Double Debbie Downer' as we call it in our neck off the woods… The double downgrade cash crab, in a world dominated by instant gratification, where sliding a new Premo into the fold offers an immediate release for the arousal curve… I commend you on having the 'long game' to pull a DDD this week… For me, I will paint the fence as I am playing LEAGUES and mister too the season has been a little sub par and I need wins this week. Good luck. Unless you are playing me of course 😉
The Tripple D. Sounds like my fave bra size
Seriously flirted with bringing in Jezza this week, loved his role change in recent weeks. 58 at half time and I was kicking myself, he finished with 56. Thanks reverse trades button!
I just got Greene into my team before the bounce last night, what a wasted trade.
OH T-Man. You must hate that MORON this morning. I reckon Greene needs to stay indoors today and not go out in public. Any super coaches in your predicament are likely going to give him the Caleb Daniel treatment if they spotted him walking down the street today. Flick him next week for a fallen premo mate. Cheers
I'm walking around Canberra dressed in my ninja suit with my trustee crowbar lookin for Toby
Is Cameron worth thinking about
Undecided about whether to go double downgrade (Fisher and Balic) or paint the fence this week (Balic/Fisher and Buddy).
Here's my squad so far:
DEF: Laird, Simpson, Shaw, Marchbank, Otten, Newman (Hampton, Stewart)
MID: Dangerfield, JPK, Fyfe, TMitchell, Beams, Treloar, Parfitt, SPP (Pickett, Barrett, Hibberd)
RUCK: Martin, Sandilands (Strandica)
FWD: Dahl, Macrae, Nank, Yeo, WHE, Houston (Butler, Eddy)
Based on this team outlook, what appears the better option guys? All opinions welcome 🙂
My opinion would be that it depends on how much cash you have in the bank. If no cash, double downgrade. If plenty of cash then paint the fence.
Suggest your biggest worries are in the midfield. You need to upgrade Parfitt or SPP over the next few weeks so double downgrade to assist those priorities.
Depends how muchMy opinion would be that it depends on how much cash you have in the bank. If no cash, double downgrade. If plenty of cash then paint the fence.
With so many people going to Balic and Fisher (including myself) I do hope they perform and not end up two more spuds to add to the potato salad.
Toby Greene you are scum! Hope he gets 3+
You didn't trade that numb nuts into your side did you Pieman?
Hell no! I have a no flog policy. If I have someone that becomes one I shoot them
Short man syndrome…lol, needs to prove he's tough like a tall guy.
Got macrae instead of Greene thank god
I was about $10k short on a paint the fence to Macrae. I looked at Greene and decided to save the trade
Surely we hold Greene this week?
GWS bye round 13 so hold if you can. If he gets 3 weeks, might be better to dump him.
Kicking myself-only brought him in this ween
thinking of taking otten on bench and having hampton, newman and marchbank on field.. feel otten might score well and this could turn out as a POD for me by not having him on the field. is this crazy?
Who to bench out of Otten, Newman, Marchbank & Hampton? (1 only)
Many thanks!
im thinking otten? anyone else
?
Concerned with Otten too. He scored 45 with Jenkins in the team (full game) in Round 1. Role change coming with Jenkins back
that is Jenkins back in the team
Yeah, I benched Otten for Hampton on the field. I think the latter is hitting his straps and we need to see if Otten's scoring is affected by Jenkins coming back in.
Hampton one good score out of 5 games. The other 3 have been by far more consistent for my liking
No trades this week. Was very tempted though. Looped swallow with Taranto so very happy with that. Will give WHE this week to improve and watch Hannas and Buddy. Probably go the Bont next week.
Downgrading Swallow is a must this week, gotta take the cash when it's there.
Swallow not playing so not vital. Price will hold
BE is 94. Time to trade while rookies on the bubble are available
Who do people think will be the best captain for points this week Sloane, Treloar, Fyfe or Dangerfield?
Toby Greene… He's got a woman-beater written all over him… Piece of horse excrement that bloke. If only someone could absolutely KO him this year in a visually stunning piece of operatic football, boy would that be something to behold… I pity the fool..
Yeah. Where's Barry Hall when you need him
Probably hitting Staker behind the play.
Ha nice name mate, great minds think alike. I wouldn't go too far to call Greene a woman beater though, he can still turn it around however unlikely it may seem.
Where's Plugger re Caven.
Field Butler away to Crows or Simpkin home vs GC??
Simpkin. I shot Butler this morning
Went early there Pie? Could spud it up this week tho against crows.
Didn't want to wait to a score in a loss
Im thinking of going WHE –> Balic (Fwd line).
Then using Balic's DPP to swap Parfitt to Fwd line and upgrade Parfitt to Franklin.
Thoughts, or too early to trade Parfitt out?
I want to cash in on Franklin at 464k, especially when im expecting him to go huge against Carlton today. I expect him to achieve his BE of 124.
Cameron gets 4 goals. 56 points. WTF?
Had more points at half time. Completely missing in the last qtr when all the big sc points in a tight game were dished out.
Agree with Ben, twisted Champion Data logic. Had he not kicked those four goals in the first instance the last qtr wouldn't have carried so much weight, point scoring wise. I would have thought kicking one quarter of all the goals scored in the game would carry a little more weight, significance wise but thats Champion Data for you.
Cd logic is definitely fuzzy. I can bet that if he went off injured and missed the last qtr he would have scaled up
Do I trade Pickett or Parfitt to Fisher this week. Trading Pickett will give me 250K for next weeks trades and will get rid of a non-playing rookie. Trading Parfitt will get me 330K for next week. I have SPP/Bowes/Butler/Marchbank/Houston/Hampton to trade over the coming weeks so trading Parfitt early to get a bit of extra cash in the short term may not be a bad idea. But then again Pickett is a spud and probably needs to be removed as fast as possible. Thoughts community?
Trade the spud. Best to hold the playing rookie. I think Parfitt will do ok against the Pies
Hardwick?? Noone talking about him.. all focus on Balic n Fisher.. will he not score good or keep his place? Gotta make decision ASAP on two out of these three.. pls help
I went Hardwick over Fisher. Older. Not 68kgs . Not 18.
Hope it pays off.
Hardwick 60 at Q3
Fisher 20 at Q3… FML
Gonna take the Taranto score, who too bench, Higgins, Roughy or Steele?
Rough
I had vc on bont and emergency on Taranto if I place mount ford on the field with the C does that mean I'll get bonts score 2x and taranto?
Yep.
Give it a rest you hysterical bunch. Toby tapped Caleb on the nose and he might get 2-weeks downgraded to one with a guilty plea. The way you blokes are carrying on you'd think Toby shot Gaz
Which two of Balic, SPP, Parfitt and Fisher on field?
I'm going Balic and SPP, looping Fisher, will probably bench SPP if Fisher scores well.
Back at ya, Parfitt or Butler onfield fwd?
Flip a coin?
Maybe Parfitt with the Tiges being away at Adelaide.
What to do
Which 2 to bench out of Marchbank, Hampton, Otten, Newman and williamson ?
Tippett a late out. James Rose in.
Is it better to double downgrade or paint the fence?
I double downgrade but how roberton is performing and i was considering, i may of made the wrong decision
Should i make my captain Danger, Rocky or Dusty today?
Is hanners playing in the midfield or does he have a role change?
Looks like only occasionally rotating into the midfield. Running around on the wing a lot.
Jack Steele and Titch cruizin midway through the second quarter. 57 and 53 SC respectively. Good boys.
Put the vc on titch as well hawk. Hopefully Steele can run this game out and get a big score.
Worked out well for you Holty. Titch ended up with 117 which might just be a bit below par as your VC. Nonetheless, he did bloody well considering the hammering the Saints gave the Hawks today. Steele went to a new level today with a brilliant 116. Got both players so like you I am bloody pleased. Cheers
Yeah. Noticed Steele has Dusty's issue from previous year of fading late.
Zac Fisher, 1 point at quarter time!…Ugh!
Dylan Roberton. Is he the real deal? Just watched the first half of the Saints game and his decision making is solid, playing a good role for Supercoach, with 82 points at half time. Should of trusted LekDogs cheat sheet. The question now is, is this a temporary good run of form or is he going to be a top 6 defender come the end of the year? Not familiar with how he has been in the past.
Likely to go up to 515k, and for a keeper, that's still a decent price. Should we still jump on him next week? Thoughts community?
He could be the real deal, or just having a purple patch, he sure is playing well, do you have Lloyd and Shaw?….cause Lloyd has been solid all year and Shaw might've turned it around finally.
Roberton's really only had one decent season, average wise..in 2015 where he averaged 90, all his other seasons since 2010 have been mediocre to fair at best, supercoach-wise.
I have Shaw already, started with him. Glad he's finally turning it around. I think id still be more confident in going to Roberton rather than Lloyd though. Simpson is also someone who's turning it around that I could bring in next week. I'm torn really, I expected to watch this game and see reason not to get Roberton in, but he's just refused to show me anything of the sort!
Heeney next week?
Looking good and originally had him in my team before he got glandular fever
Playing lots of midfield
Watch him a bit more.
Making up for Jack's injury. Sure to be good for at least a month.
Im curious how many people traded smurph because of one bad game?
Thankfully not this guy 😉
Might not have been a bad call, if they went to someone like Gazza or Pendles this week. 69 and 88, ain't that special, with the benefit of hindsight.
Bloody hell. Would someone from Hawthorn please give Titch some help. No wonder his de% is so poor. There is never anyone free to give it too.
Speaking of trades…Jeez I'm glad I ended up punting Roughy and O'Meara this week!..on the downside, if Fisher keeps scoring like this, he'll be dumped from the side and will be worthless in a couple of weeks.
Fisher should play atleast next week, we won, wont be many changes unless injuries, which a few picked up so i see him staying in for a couple weeks
Newman over Hampton on field is starting to look like an awful decision
I was lucky g train. I would of done the same but thankfully have hibberd from nth so could loophole. Have the E on Newman.
KADE SIMPSON FINALLY A GOOD SCORE
Balic or Parfitt on field?
How much are the Sydney mids a tease this year
All very cheap but they hardly make a big ton
Hellooòo 60 odd from Newman. Can loophole his score.. do we back Stewart and Hampton to beat that?
Cheers
Fisher might make as much money as Pickett…fml
Berry is near his BE st 1/2 time. Go you good thing! He might get back to his starting price.
WHE or Parfitt out for Balic? Going to be my second trade this week.
Good luck to those that didn't start with Doch and looking to pick him up cheap.
In spite of his massive score, I think he's just north of his b/e.
Will only go up a bit but yeah, he's not going to be a discounted premium this year.
Got angry this morning and thought, "the hell with this… Stick to your guns!" Instead of fluffing around with the double downgrade Swallow and Pickett to Balic and Fisher, I decided to go Pickett to Balic and Swallow to …………(drumbeats please) DANIEL HANNEBERY!! All in all I am bloody relieved and happy with my move. Hanners tonned up without being spectacular (105 SC) and avoided Fisher who spudded up big time today. (35 SC). Hoping now that Balic can produce something respectable tonight and then next week I can look forward to another premo upgrade. This time it will probably be Marchbank for Heath Shaw and perhaps Parfitt/Butler for Aaron Black. (provided he delivers a decent score). That Jacks and coke is gonna taste extra sweet tonight! cheers
I did similar.
Was going to double downgrade but decided long and hard that the Rioli experiment should end.
Went Eddy to Balic
Cyril to Buddy.
I wanted Simpson but was 6k short. Oh well.
Missed out on Fisher, see what Balic can produce.
At least we dodged Zac Fisher. He could well be dropped next week. I am quietly confident that Harley Balic will produce decent output. The kid has huge wraps on him here in WA (WAFL) so I looking forward to seeing him in action in the derby tonight. Buddy again a bit below par but no disaster. We know what he can do. Hanners didnt set the world on fire either, but at least produced a modest tonne.
And Jarrod Berry……….Well, he is ripping it up today!! On 33 SC with a half of footy to play! He might just nail that BE OF 37 and start producing some cash for us and perhaps keep his spot also. If he can squeeze a 60 odd score today, I would be bloody stoked. No guarantees mind you. Cheers
Blues give the kids a decent go TH. Fisher will go up and again next time then culled thanks for the 100 hello pendles…Went to both kids and this gets me Shaw / Simmo next week so each to his own Hanners will be good no doubt but I need bookends . thinking Steele will be among top mids whos left Cheers Neil
Kade simpson you beautiful man, repayed my faith fantastically
