Supercoach RD6: LekDog’s Cheat Sheet

Published by Lekdog on

G’day Community, this week we have a look at some very cheap premium options to bring into our sides.

Importantly we need to focus on not chasing points, waiting for players to be on the bubble before we trade them in and of course focusing on the byes.

A lot of coaches aren’t looking ahead to the byes and it stresses me out. We must be trading in premium options that are providing us value but equally we must be trading in players from each bye round. There is nothing worse than copping a donut during the bye rounds, believe me.

Shout out to our sponsor Fantasy Insider who helped me decide on some on field players this week resulting in a score of 2,332 (turns out that was pretty good). Make sure you take advantage of their free trial and if you don’t like their services (not bloody likely) you can cancel at anytime.

See yo in the comments, Lekdog

Interesting re Franklin. Would people prefer buying him in over Dalhaus and MacRae?

    Lance Franklin · 27/04/2017 at 21:52

For the price he is in comparsion to them, yes

      Joe. · 27/04/2017 at 21:56

I can see the sense in it if I expect him to be an impact scorer rather than a weekly solid 100.

    Russty_ · 27/04/2017 at 22:34

I already have him but if I didn't, I'd wait another week, with a break even of 120 he'll probably get even cheaper and be bargain basement next week, especially if he spuds it this week.

      LEKD0G · 27/04/2017 at 22:47

I reckon he'll kick a few against the Blues

        Russty_ · 27/04/2017 at 23:50

He could kick 10 and me look like a right flog lol

    Tyruddanaut · 28/04/2017 at 15:52

    Of course. He's 120k cheaper

Eric_the_Red · 27/04/2017 at 21:51

Great job Lek, as usual.
Thoughts on Steele? I feel he should hang around a little longer, but I could also turn him into a Neale in mids or Nank/Macrae up forward. Thoughts?

    Joe. · 27/04/2017 at 21:57

Looks like you, too, could turn him into Franklin …

      Eric_the_Red · 27/04/2017 at 22:01

      Already got him.

        Finnius123 · 27/04/2017 at 22:36

Hold steele until other issues solved

    LEKD0G · 27/04/2017 at 22:47

    Upgrade him brother

    whatyasmokin · 27/04/2017 at 23:18

Must have a freakin sweet team if you can upgrade steele right now, or your priorities are just wrong.

      Eric_the_Red · 28/04/2017 at 08:56

Team is in decent knick mate

slats7 · 27/04/2017 at 22:02

Another cracking Cheat Sheet as always Lek!

Thanks mate.

    LEKD0G · 28/04/2017 at 00:39

    Thanks Slats

DacZawson · 27/04/2017 at 22:05

Would people go Nank or Buddy?

    Finnius · 27/04/2017 at 22:06

    Jkoel · 27/04/2017 at 22:14

Missed the boat on nank mate

      Finnius123 · 27/04/2017 at 22:36

Disagree. Will be a top end forward so still worth picking up at his currently low price.

        Daniel Z · 28/04/2017 at 06:31

        I'm with Finnius on this.
Would have been waaaay better to get him before price rises kicked in but he still is averaging well above his price and will be top 6 forward (or thereabouts) by year's end.

      Tyruddanaut · 28/04/2017 at 15:54

What makes you think that at 480k

    Matt___a · 28/04/2017 at 09:32

    pod · 28/04/2017 at 09:34

Tigers have had an easy run, lets see how they go against good sides. Swans are about to play easy games starting with the Blues.

Ben · 27/04/2017 at 22:07

Wanting to make a downgrade this week but unsure of who to trade out as all my rookies can still make cash this week due to BE's still pretty low. My rookies are:
FWD: Houston, Eddy, Butler, WHE
MID: Parfitt, SPP, Barrett, Pickett
DEF: Stewart, Newman, Hampton, Otten, Marchbank

Also, do I make double downgrade of Balic and Fisher…or just one? If so, who?
Will only be looking to get in Vickers-Willis I think next week with an upgrade if I dont make one this week.

Have 27 trades remaining…ranked just outside top 4000

    Russty_ · 27/04/2017 at 22:24

You could go Eddy and Pickett out for Fisher and Balic or Pickett and WHE out for Fisher and Balic if you want more bikkies in the bank.

If you're only doing one, I'd say Fisher over Balic, better job security.

blake · 27/04/2017 at 22:11

what rookies should i play on field this week

DEF: 2 out of Hampton, Marcbank, Newman
MID: 1 out of Fisher and Balic
FWD: 3 out of Butler, Hardwick, Houstan, Parfit

    Russty_ · 27/04/2017 at 22:25

    Newman and Hampton
    Houston, Butler, Hardwick

      whatyasmokin · 28/04/2017 at 00:10

      Agree with picks.

Not sure about Hardwick vs Parfitt (haven't seen Hardwick in action)

    LoganJosh7 · 28/04/2017 at 09:48

agree with rusty, but im going marchbank over newman

      BradK · 28/04/2017 at 10:51

Marchbank over hampton. Newnam will kill it coz he's fighting for a spot.

    Tyruddanaut · 28/04/2017 at 15:56

Marchbank and Newman ( If you have Adams, swing him into mid and play all 3
    Butler Hardwick and zhoustan

Imgonnalose · 27/04/2017 at 22:11

Hey community, I was thinking the trades
Pickett – Fisher
Hibberd – Balic

Or is that too sideways, instead should I be looking at downgrading WHE? currently have 29 trades before this week and am rank 400
Going for rank not league

    Imgonnalose · 27/04/2017 at 22:16

    Also have eddy

    Kev · 27/04/2017 at 22:18

You must have NAILED starting selections to be ranked 400 after using only the one trade. Kudos. If you're not using Hibberd as a loophole than get rid of him, you'll need cash eventually and Balic will make you that.

Pickett will come back. You'll only make 50ish k from trading him. Not worth it

      Imgonnalose · 27/04/2017 at 22:22

So would you recommend getting rid of Eddy or WHE instead of Pickett?
Thanks Kev, pretty happy, started with Pendles Sloane Selwood WHE Nank and Sandiwitts – sometimes things just work out

        Finnius123 · 27/04/2017 at 22:35

I personally would go with WHE because although starting selections has left good stead – you still need to start the process to getting full premium or else you will be left behind. WHE is the clear downgrade option this week

          whatyasmokin · 27/04/2017 at 23:36

Yep gotta clear him out now for Balic or an upgrade.

If Black works out next week then trade Parfitt or whoever else you have that needs culling in forward line.

Your Houston and Butlers can be upgraded in a couple weeks.

Jager Bombs · 27/04/2017 at 22:14

Thoughts on Patrick Cripps Lekdog? Havent seen as many blues games has he been looking better?

Is he ready to turn it on and come home a top 10 mid?

Would love the communities thoughts.

    LEKD0G · 27/04/2017 at 22:48

Had 37 on the weekend, is very cheap…just feel like the Blues are gonna keep getting blown out which will limit his output. Flip a coin?

      Jager Bombs · 28/04/2017 at 07:15

Thanks mate. Flipped the coin and im going to trade swallow to cripps. Started with swallow and its been a fail so far. Especially with a 94 breakeven and his 2 rubbish scores running through his avg for another 2 to 3 weeks.

2nd trade is moving WHE down to fisher. WHE may still have a bit of a rise in him but time to move.

If parsons plays next wk will move parfitt on and upgrade marchbank to heath shaw.

      Tyruddanaut · 28/04/2017 at 16:08

      109 LekD0G
He's scoring well don't downgrade young Crippsy.
      Pick on someone else

AuroraBorealis?! · 27/04/2017 at 22:17

Josh Jenkins back in the crows side, RIP Ottens 90 avg.

    Finnius123 · 27/04/2017 at 22:39

Not necessarily- They were talking on league teams about Otten still playing forward because he has done so well there. Has also been named in the forward line, I think that Jenkins will just rolled hough the forwards as the key forward bench/ruck substitute for sauce, tex, Otten and Tom Lynch. Otten will probably still stay in the forward line there will just be another rotation through there.

    whatyasmokin · 27/04/2017 at 23:34

Doubt it, Otten is a gun.

      Russty_ · 27/04/2017 at 23:54

Especially as he's shown, he can play back, back up in the Ruck, and kick goals in the fwd line, time will tell but can't see him getting dropped or his output being restricted by the coach or another player, if it ain't broke…..

Choice · 27/04/2017 at 22:37

Get rid of Preuss?

    Ja191 · 27/04/2017 at 22:45

    Russty_ · 27/04/2017 at 22:47

Not sure on that one, I'm gonna hold for now, can't believe he wasn't named actually, surely Goldy needs a bit of a backup? or maybe he spat his dummy to the coach when everyone was saying Preuss is North's new number one ruckman lol

    LoganJosh7 · 28/04/2017 at 09:50

preuss is emergancy so keep your ears open pre-game

    Tyruddanaut · 28/04/2017 at 16:09

He is just resting at the moment expect in back in 2 rounds

Jack · 27/04/2017 at 22:40

Balic or Fisher?

    whatyasmokin · 27/04/2017 at 23:34

    Fisher or both.

Mandingo · 27/04/2017 at 22:42

Fisher vs Hardwick for job security?

    whatyasmokin · 27/04/2017 at 23:33

    Tyruddanaut · 28/04/2017 at 16:09

Hardwick is going to be out of the team as soon as all their guns are back

Ja191 · 27/04/2017 at 22:42

2 on field out of Balic, SPP, Parfitt and Fisher?

    whatyasmokin · 27/04/2017 at 23:33

    SPP and Fisher.

    Matt___a · 28/04/2017 at 09:28

    SPP and Parfitt

Jeffreyhead · 27/04/2017 at 22:43

Mate, once again thank you for your legendary wisdom and insight. The defence options you've unveiled this week are so far under the radar it's criminal. I cant bring one in this week, but am now considering buddy and one of the defense options next week instead of hanners next week. Maybe save the mid trades for pendles and/or dusty in the weeks to follow. Thanks mate, you are a legend.

    LEKD0G · 28/04/2017 at 00:40

Love it Jeffrey, keep up the good work

Drop Bears · 27/04/2017 at 22:47

Only $3600 in the pocket to start the week, so looking to double downgrade to the two obvious choices and sacrifice a few wins this weekend for a $200-$300k kitty to use next week.

WHE is a no brainer, but for the mids, should I kick Pickett who may well come back and slowly burn away quietly carrying the oranges for me, or kick Taranto in his return game against the Dogs for a little more cash to use next week?

    Drop Bears · 27/04/2017 at 22:48

Or, do I punt SPP in the middle instead? I think I'd rather take the punt on keeping him with a BE of 41 with the round 9 bye only a few weeks away and turf him then for a few gorillas more.

    whatyasmokin · 27/04/2017 at 23:40

Kick Pickett, has been dropped. Others are playing and can make cash.

    Russty_ · 27/04/2017 at 23:55

Don't reckon Pickett will come back, he's shite and should learn to play in the 2's for awhile.

Adam · 27/04/2017 at 22:48

Fisher or Balic???

    whatyasmokin · 27/04/2017 at 23:33

    Fisher, or both.

Harvey · 27/04/2017 at 22:52

Lock in Howe as a defender or wait for a price drop?

    NoLanguage · 27/04/2017 at 23:14

I'd lock him in – sweeper role is great for SC

    Finnius123 · 27/04/2017 at 23:19

Still pretty good price – can't see him being lower than that this year. Good POD also

    whatyasmokin · 27/04/2017 at 23:33

There might not be much of a price drop, and if there is, what is the point of waiting till round 15 and losing all his scoring?

You want him lock him in, barely over priced.

    LEKD0G · 28/04/2017 at 00:41

I have questions over him with Dunn named in the team. I have fears of Howe playing forward

      Johnno · 28/04/2017 at 10:53

Dunn's come in to replace Reid. Howe's role shouldn't change.

Bronson · 27/04/2017 at 22:54

Time to jump on Shaw?

    whatyasmokin · 27/04/2017 at 23:31

I'm hesitant to call him a top defender this year.

      Bronson · 27/04/2017 at 23:34

Yeah thats what I was thinking. But I wouldn't doubt Heater just yet

        whatyasmokin · 27/04/2017 at 23:39

Has a 112 BE, needs to throw out a big score to convince me at this stage.

        Tyruddanaut · 28/04/2017 at 16:17

I doubted him from the start

    Russty_ · 28/04/2017 at 00:00

Sometimes, a player's time is just over, and from then on, they score crap, not sure if that's the case with Shaw, you need to make your own call on that, but look at Steve Johnson, Griffin…other guys once they reach a certain age, just can't score anymore.
I won't be looking to get Shaw in anytime soon, unless he drastically turns it around.

    Matt___a · 28/04/2017 at 09:47

    pod · 28/04/2017 at 09:52

no but watch for any improvement

Steve · 27/04/2017 at 22:55

hey guys, what's the go with loopholing non captain players?

    LEKD0G · 28/04/2017 at 00:43

    I'm assuming you're loopholing rookies.

E on the rookie you want to loophole (make sure this rookie plays before your other bench option and nonplaying player)

    Player not playing on field

If you like the score leave it as is, if you don't sub the non-playing player for another rookie.

      Steve · 28/04/2017 at 12:34

      Cheers Lekdog

      Tyruddanaut · 28/04/2017 at 16:20

I was confused on why Joel Smith was captain on my last H2H's game. Thanks

Jonathan · 27/04/2017 at 23:03

Swallow down to fisher and Roughead down to Balic giving me $540k to work with next week OR Roughy down to balic and Swallow up to any premium?

    whatyasmokin · 27/04/2017 at 23:31

Take your pic. Depends who you want.

If you want Hanners/JPK/Parker then do it, if waiting for pendles to drop then wait and do the double downgrade.

    Greng · 28/04/2017 at 08:16

Paint the fence. Might as well have a premo rather than spare cash…

      Tyruddanaut · 28/04/2017 at 16:21

      I completely agree. That's 50-80 points a round you're missing out on

Joe T · 27/04/2017 at 23:09

Great work Lek! Is Swallow a must-trade considering I brought him in for JOM's dodgy knee a couple of weeks ago? Seems like a bit of a waste using 2 trades on the same M7 spot but this year is throwing up all sorts of new strategies.

I'm thinking Swallow > Balic and Roughy > Macrae/Buddy. Could also go the other way and upgrade to a mid premo instead, but not as confident on what the top 10 mids are looking like just yet.

    whatyasmokin · 27/04/2017 at 23:29

It is a complete waste using 2 trades on M7 that's why everyone on here were against the JOM>Swallow trade.

Your trades this week sound good, the classic paint the fence.

Ken · 27/04/2017 at 23:12

Trade o'meara for Heath Shaw through dpp?

    whatyasmokin · 27/04/2017 at 23:28

If you feel Shaw is going to be a top 8 or so mid.

Stav · 27/04/2017 at 23:30

Hey team, is Jeremy Cameron a viable option as a trade in target? Good average, defensive efforts up, and a reasonable draw into and post bye. Thoughts?

    Russty_ · 28/04/2017 at 00:04

He's started well, but history says he'll struggle to maintain that average….but I think Greene, Buddy or Macrae would be better options if you don't have them.

      Stav · 28/04/2017 at 09:38

Cheers Russty. Have macrae. Will probably go buddy. Feel like Greene's best and worst is further apart than Buddy's

      Stav · 28/04/2017 at 14:01

Or, do I double downgrade to catch both balic and fisher on the bubble? It means I have a shit tin of cash in the bank for the round. Already had 430k in the bank.

    Matt___a · 28/04/2017 at 09:45

    no. dont go chasing points

    pod · 28/04/2017 at 09:46

Cameron's roll has changed, he no longer sits in the goal square and spuds it. He is more like a roving forward now, similar to Nick Riewold. If he keeps this role he'll be top 5-6 forwards this season.

    Stav · 28/04/2017 at 12:17

Or, do I double downgrade to catch both balic and fisher on the bubble? It means I have a shit tin of cash in the bank for the round. Already had 430k in the bank.

      Russty_ · 28/04/2017 at 17:04

Yeah Stav I'd go the double down…fill up the coffers and get whoever you want next week with a big BANG BANG..gotta keep generating the cash from the few Rookies who are actually getting games!..for future trades.

Tex · 27/04/2017 at 23:30

Hey guys, should I downgrade SPP to Balic and trade WHE to Franklin? Or just do the Balic trade this week, hold and pick up another player next week / after (like a Roo or a premo midfield)? Cheers!

    whatyasmokin · 27/04/2017 at 23:37

    Not interested in Fisher?

      Tex · 28/04/2017 at 00:26

I picked up Williamson in Def last week, Fisher wasn't even on my radar. I guess the question is Balic V Fisher for Franklin or bring both in a do the double downgrade this week

Martin · 27/04/2017 at 23:39

Is it worth going Powell pepper to fisher?

    Martin · 27/04/2017 at 23:40

If I do that means I'm doing the double downgrade

      Joe. · 27/04/2017 at 23:44

Well, I'm off him. He may be a "beast" physically, but he looked clueless and out of gas for almost all of the game against Carlton. It should have been an easy run. He's hit the wall, and I'm cashing in because I don't think he is a certainty to BE.

Rocksta · 27/04/2017 at 23:43

Lek, we luv ya…….especially afyer the CK Photo with your or somebody elses Netter

Rocksta · 27/04/2017 at 23:48

Mick · 27/04/2017 at 23:54

Hi guys, wanting to know if you rate Wines or not. Cheers

    Russty_ · 28/04/2017 at 00:11

He's on fire this year….so far, but he's only just barely managed to average over 100 once in his 4 previous seasons.
Robbie Gray could be a good pod, he's cheaper and has a higher ceiling…and has averaged over 100 for the past 3 seasons.

      Greg · 28/04/2017 at 08:25

Might be a break out year?? Considering

        BradK · 28/04/2017 at 09:07

Wines seems abit like Parker last year. Started on fire (averaging 130 first 5 rounds), to end up actially averaging 102 for the year (although this includes finals). Wines could very much struggle to average 105 from here on.

          BradK · 28/04/2017 at 09:10

102* for the rest of the year

    Tyruddanaut · 28/04/2017 at 16:23

Wines is the best in his team

    FCAbel · 28/04/2017 at 17:21

Ollie's scores are great considering who they played. I hear that coach vossy has him running a few steps out before kicking ball when winning clearance. This has raised his kicking efficiency from 40-60%. I'm still not sure he's top 10, but think he'll improve on past years and will average 110+. I considered him this week, but think pendles at this price next week better.

    Mick · 28/04/2017 at 18:11

    Cheers lads

    redherringfc · 28/04/2017 at 19:18

rate, but he won't make my team.

Matt · 27/04/2017 at 23:59

Is it too late to bring Newman in? Or is it still worth it? Only going for league and feel like there is still good cash generation potential in him. Was away the week he was on the bubble, didn't realise he was playing Thursday night, and then when I tried to trade him in on the Friday was too late. Was almost glad when he got dropped the following week!

    LEKD0G · 28/04/2017 at 00:46

Tough, it's probably too late. There are worse trades though

      Matt · 28/04/2017 at 10:41

Yeah, I'm torn. Already missed out on 80k, but think there's another 150k to 200k in him if he keeps getting games. With the rookie options so far massively underperformed, not sure if its too big of a risk to leave that cash behind. I'm just not sure who is on the horizon thats gonna bank us an easy 200k…

    Tyruddanaut · 28/04/2017 at 16:23

You have time I think. I usually chock around now

      matt · 28/04/2017 at 16:29

Hmm, well, at this stage, I've decided to pass on newman. instead, I cut roughy and swallow this week, brought in fisher and balic. Now have quite a large warchest and ready to start upgrading next week. Will stick with that plan for now, and suits my structure better, particularly because I'll probably go M Hibberd in def next week (from Melb, not Nth) as long as he has a reasonable game this week.

      Tyruddanaut · 28/04/2017 at 16:56

Conundrum · 28/04/2017 at 00:06

Is this week necessary to get both fisher and Balic in?

I'm looking at either downgrading omeara and Pickett for Balic and fisher

Or should I do an upgrade omeara and get in Heath Shaw through swinging Taylor Adams into mid??

I'm currently on 27 trades…should I look at using the two trades this week and do either double downgrade or get in Heath shaw and which one balic or fisher??

Choice · 28/04/2017 at 05:43

Out: Pickett, SPP
In: Vick-willis in def, Balic in mids (Adams swung in Mids)
This leaves me with Newman on field plus cash in the bank for next week
Out SPP, O'meara
In: Balic, Heppel/Laird (by way of Adams) with no cash.

Alby · 28/04/2017 at 06:26

$210,000 in the bank thinking of getting rid of JOM and Pickett and getting in Hannebury and Fisher. Thoughts would be much appreciated thanks in advance.

    Matt___a · 28/04/2017 at 09:41

    Sounds good

    pod · 28/04/2017 at 09:50

JOM is playing and has a B/E of 58, surely you jest

bamsko · 28/04/2017 at 08:47

Interested to understand Balic v Hardwick. People seem to prefer Balic – but why?

– Hardwick averages 9 pt more and has a lower BE (-49 v -39)
– Balic has DPP
– How about JS?

    Tyruddanaut · 28/04/2017 at 16:57

Hey can you please tell me what JS is so I can u crests d this further
    Otherwise you have a point

BradK · 28/04/2017 at 08:49

Whats the hype with buddy? He hasn't averaged over 100 since 2012. He's 30 years old and stats show he's on the way out. Likely to average 90-95 this year. I'd almost prefer keeping steele (current 87 average).

    BradK · 28/04/2017 at 09:39

Also, for those picking him up because he has an 'easy' next five opponents…

I added up buddy's average for the past five games against syds next 5 teams (calt, bris, nth, stkida, hawks), and he averaged 104 for that time (not including his injury affected scores).

So he may have a purple patch and average around 104, but I think he will ave even lower. Plus, you'd be getting him as a keeper, not because he MAY score higher for five games.

    I wont be touching him

      Holty · 28/04/2017 at 10:50

Fair points. I picked him up because in the preseason he was in the best shape ive seen him for years. He looked fantastic and even now he still looks fit and i think will explode soon. If he continues on this form and when Sydney start winning, i would not be surprised if he averages 100+ for the rest of the season.

      whatyasmokin · 28/04/2017 at 12:31

Agree completely. But when a player gets hyped in these comments sections you know what happens……..can't stop the train ie Matt crouch.

    Jaxon · 28/04/2017 at 13:22

Completely agree with you. I wont be touching him. Well said!

KSinny · 28/04/2017 at 08:59

What do u guys think of a double downgrade of swallow to Baltic and Whe to Hardwick? Gives me some sweet cash and a couple weeks to let pendles and danger bottom out

Lachy · 28/04/2017 at 09:03

Macrae or Mummy/Martin?

    Joe T · 28/04/2017 at 09:12

Im considering the same options, though I'd be picking Martin over Mummy

    BradK · 28/04/2017 at 09:15

Depends on what rucks you've currently got. I dont trust Mumford's consistency, so i'd go Martin over him.

But Macrae might suit your team better. Can you list your rucks Lachy?

      Lachy · 28/04/2017 at 16:57

My rucks are is the 'ol classic Nankilands duo.

Sarge · 28/04/2017 at 09:11

A quick question for the community, wfycg uograde option do I bring in this week?

    BradK · 28/04/2017 at 09:16

    Probably Hanneberry from that lot

    Matt___a · 28/04/2017 at 09:38

Ben · 28/04/2017 at 09:16

Hibberd from Melb, anyone? Im $4000 short of Shaw, but Hibberd looked great on the weekend

    Finnius123 · 28/04/2017 at 09:19

    Wait a week!

    pod · 28/04/2017 at 09:33

If you're upgrading a playing rookie why not hold, wait and see how Hibberd plays and in the process maybe make some coin. If Hibberd plays well trade him in, if he craps it, grab Shaw or someone else.

Ben · 28/04/2017 at 09:24

Marchbank + Butler –> McNiece + Nank
Marchbank + Parfitt –> Balic + Fisher + Cash

    Tyruddanaut · 28/04/2017 at 16:59

    Too early for Mcneice

Harley · 28/04/2017 at 09:32

Greene or McRae ?

Probably need both at some stage but who right now do we thing?

    BradK · 28/04/2017 at 09:44

    pod · 28/04/2017 at 09:48

MacRae just, because he's a dpp.

    Pablo · 28/04/2017 at 10:35

Depends on who else is in your team to ensure bye coverage. PS I went Greene coz i already have 2 other WB players..

LoganJosh7 · 28/04/2017 at 09:33

ahoy community need some help

best outs out of eddy, WHE and roughy in FWD and pickett, swallow in MID

best ins out of hardwick, balic in FWD and fisher/premium in MID

    LoganJosh7 · 28/04/2017 at 10:02

make two forward trades for balic and hardwick

      BradK · 28/04/2017 at 11:01

Sorry mate but this team is going to struggle

        BradK · 28/04/2017 at 11:07

But swallow to fisher, then upgrade pickett to a premium if possible.
Fwd line will look pretty good after that.

Then get to work on the midfield next week by downgrading one of marchbank or hampton, then find the cash to get parfitt to a prem mid.

          BradK · 28/04/2017 at 11:10

Keeping powell pepper a bit longer could be a good pod move for you. He's named as a follower and u need luck like that.

Your defence and fwds really are pretty good. Its mostly the midfield that is draining points

            BradK · 28/04/2017 at 11:17

Could also use some more captain options, so make sure the mid you pick up is a pendles/rocky/sloane/bont type

          TheSingh2011 · 28/04/2017 at 14:40

SWALLOW to FISHER and trade out PICKETT gives me only $397k in Bank upgrade options???

      TheSingh2011 · 28/04/2017 at 14:28

Playing Ballic in Fwd line from MID Bench
Probably Trade B.EDDY/T.SMITH out for Hardwick in Fwd Line

    Tyruddanaut · 28/04/2017 at 17:03

Can't help you mate…. it's just not as good as it could be because of your starting teams

    FCAbel · 28/04/2017 at 17:26

Downgrade with a focus on upgrading to pendles in a week or two.

    Bevo · 28/04/2017 at 19:40

Too many rooks in the mids. You've got trades. Need a risk or two. Punt hrovat, going nowhere, bring in black as a punt. Then upgrade swallow to ebert for pod and good value. Prob best value fwd this round in your price range. Look to trade watson up soon. Prob add 100 to your score this round.

Goaled Finger · 28/04/2017 at 09:37

Trying to decide if I downgrade Parfitt or Taranto. Both similarly priced, both with similar BEs, and both with the potential to give me a 75+ or dud me completely…which do I axe?

James · 28/04/2017 at 09:52

26 Trades, 140k – I need to make sure I'm trading smartly this week. Advice welcome. 1 or 2 trades?
Shaw, Adams, Tuohy, Marchbank, Otten, Hampton (Hibberd, Newmann)
Pendles, Danger, JPK, Fyfe, Beams, Swallow, P-Pepper, Parfitt (Barrett, Pickett, O'Meara)
Sandi, Martin (Strnadica)
Dahl, Macrae, Nank, Rough, WHE, Butler (Eddy, Taranto)

    Tyruddanaut · 28/04/2017 at 17:05

    Kudos for keeping Touhy
Play Omeara on field mate. He's in this week
WHE out and that's all you need

DefyingMadness · 28/04/2017 at 09:56

Laird or Franklin or another POD such as McGovern.
Also Balic or Hardwick

    pod · 28/04/2017 at 09:59

Laird and Balic from that list

Borko · 28/04/2017 at 10:03

Need to upgrade a FWD this week.

Option One
SPP -> Fisher
Turner -> Macrae

Option Two
Pickett -> Fisher
Turner -> Gunston

Macrae is a def top 6 fwd this year but there is value in Gunston (I was looking at him all pre season).

Option One locks away a definite premo but may reduce cash generation. Option Two gives me maximum cash generation (although I think SPP will only go up by max of $50k by his bye if all goes well).

    Tyruddanaut · 28/04/2017 at 17:05

Gunston is a…. POD to say the least

      Plodda · 28/04/2017 at 19:42

But if you were to say more about gunston?

Andy · 28/04/2017 at 10:16

Treloar, Danners or Titch?

Bitta · 28/04/2017 at 10:21

Hardwick or Balic? really need some wisdom here!

    HarryO · 28/04/2017 at 10:43

balic for me this week. has the DPP and has been tearing up the WAFL. the kid can seriously play

      Bitta · 28/04/2017 at 11:51

      Cheers Harry!

Stav · 28/04/2017 at 11:02

Brought in Roberton a few weeks ago in DT as I didn't think he was SC friendly. May have to reassess that opinion. A very good POD by the looks of it.

Steve · 28/04/2017 at 11:20

Spp > fisher
Bowes > Balic
Leaves me $239.600 to upgrade Whe next week to Greene or Macrae

One Touch Wonder · 28/04/2017 at 11:24

Here it is ladies and gentlemen. Its the brilliant move that will save your sorry supercoach teams and win you the flag.

Just downgrade one of your unperforming mids, or add just 140k to upgrade swallow, and grab the legendary Brad crouch and watch as he becomes one of the best midfielders in the comp.

You heard it here first community!!

This truly is an amazing touch. You can all thank me later.

    Ben · 28/04/2017 at 11:30

    The Ranger · 28/04/2017 at 12:11

Ah One Touch, I was wondering when you'd be making your first move.
I like it mate, you might be onto something..

    whatyasmokin · 28/04/2017 at 12:29

    The legendary Brad Crouch haha

    neil Demons Delight · 28/04/2017 at 13:37

brad or matt took a while but good to c.u.

BradK · 28/04/2017 at 11:29

Jr1%ers league ranking has moved to 63!! Good work to everyone in this league. Keep chugging along and we'll be up there for the cash fellas

Blaknight · 28/04/2017 at 11:30

Plan this week for me is to trade my 2 non playing rookies. Leaving me with 23 Trades, $41.8k and some nice fat rookies.

1 OUT Mountford IN Balic
2 OUT Eddy IN Hardwick

This will leave me with 3 rooks on the bubble, 2 that will need trading next week BE to close to Avg and 5 still making huge cash for me. Oh and Barrett who I believe holding him is a wise choice

Very happy this week. I've gone early on some trades this year and they have all paid off thankfully.

Top 0% this week Rank 235 with a 2363
Top 1% overall Rank 1699 with 11087

Happy with my results so far.

Adam · 28/04/2017 at 11:45

Should i loophole dalhous or parker?

    whatyasmokin · 28/04/2017 at 12:27

Parker hasn't tonned up since round one………….

      Ben · 28/04/2017 at 12:58

Id loophole Luke Beveridge before Luke Parker…..

Benjamin B · 28/04/2017 at 12:52

$273k in the bank.
Should I go roughy to macrae or roughy to a premo mid? If a premo mid then who is best bet.

Danger, treloar, bont, Fyfe, hanners, beams spp, fisher
Dahl, yeo, buddy, WHE, roughy, butler

Harrison · 28/04/2017 at 12:57

Do I downgrade SPP and WHE to Hardwick and Fisher (already have Balic) which leaves cash for Pendles and Shaw next week or do I downgrade SPP and WHE to Neale and Hardwick which results in no spare cash? Thanks

Ben · 28/04/2017 at 13:04

Thoughts on Hibberd from Melbourne? Worth upgrading Marchbank to Hibberd?

    Russty_ · 28/04/2017 at 16:49

Probably not this week, I'd have another look this week, he is injury prone though so consider that too.

Ben · 28/04/2017 at 14:15

Double downgrade to Balic + Fisher to free up cash for next week
Preuss + Marchbank –> Strnadica + Heath Shaw + $100 to spare

Please comment for any other options!!

Laird, TAdams, JJ, Otten, Hampton, Marchbank (Newman, Smith)
Danger, Fyfe, Pendles, Treloar, Bont, Titch, Oliver, SPP, (Pickett, Barrett, Maynard)
Sandi, Grundy (Preuss)
Buddy, Dahl, JJK, Butler, Houston, Parfitt (Eddy, Hannan)

    Russty_ · 28/04/2017 at 16:46

I think I'd hold on Preuss and Marchbank, do the double spud bench rookie swap…Pickett and Eddy or Hannan, and try to get Nank into your fwd line next week, how much cash do you have?

H Lee · 28/04/2017 at 14:23

who is a better pick out of Toby greene or roberton?

    Russty_ · 28/04/2017 at 16:41

Probably Greene, higher scoring potential I think, Roberton's going well this year so far but can he maintain it?

Touk tuk · 28/04/2017 at 14:37

Whos a good VC this week ?

macca · 28/04/2017 at 15:27

are we trading higgins

Spanner · 28/04/2017 at 16:34

Which rookies should I start this week:
1 out of Marchbank, Hampton, Newman
2 out of Barrett, Parfitt, Fisher, SPP
2 out of Butler, Balic, Butler

    Russty_ · 28/04/2017 at 16:38

    I'm going…
    Hampton and Newman
    Fisher and SPP
    Balic and ummm Butler lol

Stupid Coach · 28/04/2017 at 17:22

Great work as always Lek Dog. My issue is who to trade out of Pickett, Hannan and Eddy. Pickett is not playing, however is on the pine in the midfield and I have adequate coverage. Hannan is the obvious choice if he is not named as I have Eddy and Cameron (Sydney) on the bench. However, both still have more cash to make. If I go Hannan/Eddy to Balic (take advantage of DPP) should I then trade upgrade SPP or Pickett to Oliver or leave the upgrade for next week. 26 trades and $188k in the bank.
Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks Community.

    Stupid Coach · 28/04/2017 at 17:32

Other option (which seems popular) is to do a double downgrade – Hannan or Eddy to Balic and Pickett to Fisher. Increases the war chest, however, uses two trades and gets further away from upgrading to a full premium team.

redherringfc · 28/04/2017 at 19:17

Put the V on shaw? have to go tonight as my only non player is eddy. also have dahl, bont. think dogs will provide some attack, so shaw may have a huge one. his best against is 203. i'll be happy with anything over 180.

Joe · 28/04/2017 at 23:29

26 Trades, 140k – Trade advice which players? 1 or 2 trades
Shaw, Adams, Tuohy, Marchbank, Otten, Hampton (Hibberd, Newmann)
Pendles, Danger, JPK, Fyfe, Beams, Swallow, P-Pepper, Parfitt (Barrett, Pickett, O'Meara)
Sandi, Martin (Strnadica)
Dahl, Macrae, Nank, Rough, WHE, Butler (Eddy, Taranto)

Jai · 29/04/2017 at 09:24

I love Supercoach. I really do. Ive played it since the early days but im becoming fairly disillusioned with the points scoring system pretty quickly.

A case in point: Jeremy Cameron scores 56 with 11 disposals at 81% and 4 goals 1.

Note: I do not have him in my team so theres no saltiness from that perspective.

I watched that whole game and whilst he wasn't incredible or a major clutch matchwinner, he had a decent game. 4.1 from a key fwd is a decent return in the modern game one could argue. So HOW the hell does that equate to a 56?!

A similar comparison to this to highlight the 'WTF?!' is in Rd 1, Gold Coasts Tom Lynch had 12 touches, 3.2 for 101 supercoach points. Just a comparison.

The thing that gets me is there is zero accountability from Champion Data/Herald Sun. I know that there cant be either because they would need to employ multiple people on a full time basis to answer inquiries such as this! Just highlighting my befuddlement at the fluctuation and bias towards and against certain players.

    greg · 29/04/2017 at 09:35

the fact that all of his goals were in the first half and he didnt contribute in the second half, supercoach point allocation is more than amount of goals, disposals etc.. it takes into consideration time of game that players have an influence, disposal efficiency, contested, distance gained etc.. i think 56 is about right tbh..

      Jai · 29/04/2017 at 10:54

You are more than entitled to your opinion. I simply do not agree that 56 is accurate.

Trev · 29/04/2017 at 10:07

Downgrade WHE to Balic or Fisher or upgrade WHE to a Franklin/Kennedy FWD, 1 up, 1 down

Do the double downgrade, get in Balic and Fisher for Picket and WHE. 2 down

Westy · 29/04/2017 at 21:06

Fantastic call on Roberton, Lekdog!
