Anzac Day Podcast…. Go Bombers!

Love this community · 25/04/2017 at 16:34

This will make the podcast even better!!

Vinny · 25/04/2017 at 18:06

I know the injury risk. But can Daniel wells be a very sneaky POD?

    Hooksjpg · 25/04/2017 at 18:21

    whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 20:24

Mid only, 547K. Not with his injury history.

    Top Gun · 25/04/2017 at 20:44

Serious burnman..related to Higgins and Dawson.

Jasen · 25/04/2017 at 18:21

Someone please shout out TRELOAR in the Podcast!!! Big Score 141 increased his avg by 9 points to 105!!

    whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 20:24

Was great to watch, and I hope it is a lesson to those that traded him out!

Redd · 25/04/2017 at 18:32

WHE and SPP might be time to cull

    oldmate65 · 25/04/2017 at 21:20

Yeah great call, I will be looking to get rid of both of them this week

      Steeeve · 25/04/2017 at 22:55

No boak more mid time for spp achievable break even

Redd · 25/04/2017 at 18:34

Stoked i picked up Tom Williamson this week nice 81 on the bubble

    Beezneez · 26/04/2017 at 13:20

Was going to be my only trade all week but didn't go through with it. Only upside is that I saved a trade and probably would have used Williamson's score instead of Hamptons. That bird probably has flown now. Tried to work out why my original comment was deleted by the Administrator and realized I should have used the word "peeved" instead of the other word starting with "p" when describing my feelings after the Carlton game.

Tommy · 25/04/2017 at 19:02

Time to ditch Jaeger and make some $$$
Is Zac Fisher the best quality rookie on the bubble this week?

    whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 21:32

Should be playing for Carlton which is in rebuild phase.

    whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 22:00

Should be the best quality due to JS, at a rebuilding club.

    Babo · 26/04/2017 at 13:41

I did that last rd for Sloane… payed a top price BUT sometimes you get what you pay for.

    ian · 26/04/2017 at 17:18

there is simply no other choice this week

poloko48 · 25/04/2017 at 19:31

Watch out for Myers in a few weeks, had great comeback game in magoos apparently.

    ian · 26/04/2017 at 17:19

Yes he did…will be perfect downgrade for any number of fat cows shortly

John · 25/04/2017 at 19:47

LOL at everyone that brought in Yo-Yo, Matera & Murphy #chasingpoints

    whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 20:23

The community tried to steer people in the right direction 🙂

    Wedge · 26/04/2017 at 08:10

Actually matera was just for dollars

      John StClaire · 27/04/2017 at 09:00

Yep, i traded him in too. This week he'll hopefully raise by another 40k and get upgraded next week. Worth it this year due to the lack of rookies. I think anyway.

    Weasel · 26/04/2017 at 08:21

The SC gods set their traps (Yeo, Murph) and I couldn't help myself.

Cpt Pugwash · 25/04/2017 at 20:08

Oh Pendles.. why are you looking dis-interested and hurting our SC teams.

Tells your injured, tell us your playing shit cos you don't like your coach and want him sack asap.

Or, just get your shit together.

    SF4 · 25/04/2017 at 21:44

Pendles will bounce back, every year people say that he is injured and then he returns to form the week after. He will still be a top mid.

      whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 21:48

    Geist · 26/04/2017 at 00:35

Not sure if he’s injured but I believe he is expecting his first child some time very soon, might be a bit distracted with that. Hope all is well on the home front.

      Derek · 26/04/2017 at 08:55

Paulio · 25/04/2017 at 20:16

thoughts on Jezza Cameron for a pod, will be reasonably cheap, and i know he had one massive score this week bur he seems to be getting solid scores at a good consistency over the rounds.

    hedski · 25/04/2017 at 20:28

Bus. Chase. Flat face. 39 pts next week.

    whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 21:33

Not sure. GWS will get a lot of pill up forward. But I like Lynch over him. (Wait till after bye)

    What about Toby Greene?

    Bruce Paperclips · 26/04/2017 at 20:36

Also keeping an eye on him. Is playing up the ground more with Patton and Lobb stay at home. A speculative pick for certain but if you have some other solid contributors up forward he could be a great POD!

    Josh · 27/04/2017 at 11:28

Like it. It's not chasing the bus as he has potential to keep averaging around 90-100 for the season just like buddy and JJK in previous seasons. Even if he averages 90 for the season is a good pick up forward. Power forward in a top 4 side lots of marks and kicks lock him in

Ben · 25/04/2017 at 20:30

boys blake hardwick on bubble worth a downgrade?

    whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 21:35

Not sure I trust Hawks to play rookies with lack of wins. Would take Fisher?

    Randomcliche2 · 27/04/2017 at 12:11

played well, good decisions, good kick and liked to kick….playing the hawks style, which I think Clarko will like…. but Birch/Hendo risk to role…

Hinch · 25/04/2017 at 20:42

My favourite community.
Have a bit of a long-winded problem, but will try and keep it short and simple.
My rucks are Ryder/Hickey and Witts……..
I have Nank in my forward line.
Should I be looking to get rid of either Ryder or Hickey? Maybe bring Nank into my rucks and get a premo forward? Or Witts good enough for on field ruck??
Would love your opinion community!

    Top Gun · 25/04/2017 at 20:52

Keep Witts. Nank the tank you can either move into the ruck or leave in the forward line (my preference) and downgrade Ryder to a rookie. This money you can use to upgrade Hickey to Martin (who should be the number one ruckman)

He Man · 25/04/2017 at 21:01

What do we do with Swallow? BE is 94. I can't see him getting that. But don't really have any cash to get someone decent? Maybe a downgrade? Zzz

    whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 21:36

    SF4 · 25/04/2017 at 21:45

I'm trading him to Hanners this week. Hes gotta go.

      whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 21:51

Good move mate, Sydney vs Carlton.

    Danners · 25/04/2017 at 21:49

I can see him get that, hold if possible

    Babo · 26/04/2017 at 13:48

I may just hold Swallow untill he escapes his poor score from the calculations.. Maybe there is more cash to be made trading out another with a lower celing than Swallow. He has shown he can do the 100+. Just may take till post byes to inflate his stock value enough.

    Northerner · 27/04/2017 at 04:02

If he scores 70 by the following week he'll be back at his current price. I think there's more left in him personally

Bitta · 25/04/2017 at 21:06

Who's the best forward option to get in other than Macrae, Dahl and Nick Riewoldt? need to give roughy the boot and have 140k to upgrade.

    whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 21:36

    redherringfc · 25/04/2017 at 21:37

I'm looking at Kennedy, Buddy and Greene. I remember Greene fell away at the end of last year, so i'm not too sure on him. Buddy seems like excellent value at the moment, Kennedy is a bit more pricey, but he plays in round 11, which is a big plus for me. The $483000 question is do you have Nank? if he's in your ruck, swing him forward and bring in the best ruck.

      Bitta · 25/04/2017 at 22:52

No i'm without the nank, should i get him?

        SF4 · 25/04/2017 at 23:09

Nank looks like the best option, jump on.

    Jkoel · 26/04/2017 at 12:07

Lynch is very underrated and has shown good form so far this season. He will be less inconsistent than buddy or Kennedy

      Bitta · 26/04/2017 at 20:06

ill definitely look at lynch after his round 9 bye, dont wanna get him in before that. cheers

        Crows · 26/04/2017 at 21:22

        What about Taylor walker

sandni836 · 25/04/2017 at 21:08

Do i pull the trigger on D. Swallow for an upgrade to C. Oliver? or give swallow more of a chance to regain tons?

    whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 21:36

    He's a dead weight.

    SF4 · 25/04/2017 at 21:47

    Get rid of him

    kim · 27/04/2017 at 10:32

yes get rid of swallow, but you missed the boat on oliver I think. Not sure he will outscore hanners from here on out. I have oliver and traded in hanners this week. Might be worth a punt on oliver given he is still cheaper than hsnners, but hanners has had a few seasons now of averaging 110+ and oliver is only in his 2nd year. Just some food for thought. Both have the same round 11 bye which makes it easier, just one is cheaper and at the moment scoring more than the other, can he keep it up all season, that is my only knock on oliver at the moment. Future gun of the comp though for sure!

Jayden · 25/04/2017 at 21:09

Hannerbery worth bringing into my team? Starting to provide some better scores. Also how is Aaron Blacks job security looking?

    whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 21:37

Like both moves, could be too early on Black although he had a really good game and should line up. Tempted to go early here for WHE.

    SF4 · 25/04/2017 at 21:48

Hanners at 540k is a bargain.
Watch Black this week and see how he goes.

    Danners · 25/04/2017 at 21:49

Hannebery is worth bringing into your team. Black has average JS since he had a big week last week

      Josh · 27/04/2017 at 11:30

Swans are cooked be a good effort for him to finish top 8 mid from here. Risk v Reward pick

    TheScacman · 26/04/2017 at 14:27

If you havent got him already, Treloar is in the same price bracket and you'd be crazy to miss him at the 550K range

oldmate65 · 25/04/2017 at 21:23

Boy oh Boy, Michael Hibberd on his return putting up 124, by no means should anyone trade him in. But I will certainly be keeping a close eye on him over the next few weeks.

    whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 21:38

Could be that cheap backline POD………….

      Northernsoul74 · 25/04/2017 at 21:46

Doubt he'll be a pod if he puts up another decent score this week.

        whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 21:50

        True that.

jimmy · 25/04/2017 at 21:23

going risky this week doing these trades help my structures

SPP ——-> Mcnise
Pickett ——> Witts

    Lachy · 25/04/2017 at 21:23

    way too late on witts

    whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 21:39

    No good.

    Danners · 25/04/2017 at 21:46

Wait a week and look at Tippett instead

    SF4 · 25/04/2017 at 21:50

    Too late on Witts.
Watch McNiece this week, too early to get him in.

Adrian Neems · 25/04/2017 at 21:24

Ok community can l get some feedback.

I had the Yeo Yeo from the start and has appreciated $69k…he was always a trade up pick to a premo, l just merely took a punt as l know in previous years he has a purple patch Has Freo at home this week, l am so undecided in what to do, but with Freo coming good and he's playing in defence, he could have a cracker this week, l'll hold and cop the flack for having him in my team (from the start)

But he's gone after this weeks game. I'm learning not to rage trade fom earlier years, have 27 trades left, am thinking that l might go

1. Swallow (has north this week, but is going to lose $11k, might get out now) to Fisher
2. SPP might hold for one more week, has had three average weeks, will still appreciate $10k and plays Brisbane. If he's not dropped will hold one more week.

If l do this l will have 26 trades and $348k in cash.

I think Robbie Gray is going to go nuts the next few weeks, l want to bring him in, but l know he can have poor patches as well. Any thoughts on Robbie Gray community.

    whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 21:40

Don't like his forward move. Avoid for now, especially with the round 9 bye.

    Danners · 25/04/2017 at 21:48

You could hold Swallow another week. He can get to 94, he's just had a few niggles the last week. Maybe get Fisher in for another rookie

    whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 22:33

Ok so I take that back about Gray, he is scoring great up forward haha.

Still would grab him round 10, for a round 11+ player of course

    NoLanguage · 25/04/2017 at 23:05

Had Robbie from the start – been up and down I would hold off till after his bye.

    Derek · 26/04/2017 at 09:03

Gray has some problems with his groins. That is main reason he is playing more as s forward. He is doing very well, but I would be worried about his injury and missing a few weeks and posting a few poor scores.

He was high on my watchlist as a round 10 trade after his bye, but I'm going to cross him off. Good luck to anyone who takes the risk.

Jasw · 25/04/2017 at 21:27

Is Roughy > Buddy and Hampton > Shaw good trades? Thnx community

    whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 21:41

Roughy I would trade, No way you should trade Hampton on a 12 BE, he will make a good amount of cash now after his 100.

      Jasw · 25/04/2017 at 22:42

      Thank You rough it is

        Derek · 26/04/2017 at 09:05

Have a look at hawks draw for next 4 weeks before you dump Roughie

          Mike · 26/04/2017 at 10:47

Derek do you have him and are you keeping him? Or would you hold him if you did? I'm going Swallow to Fisher than Roughy to Macrae but not sure now

            Derek · 26/04/2017 at 12:50

i don't have roughie (i do have Cyril).

            i'm a big hawks fan.

I always said that Roughie will take a few games to get going, but will finish the year strong.

he has actually gone up in price a bit.

He looked ok on the weekend, he just needs to find his place in the team.

Hawks have Saints, Mel, Lions, Collingwood next 4……

            whatyasmokin · 26/04/2017 at 13:40

You miss rookies with good job security you are stuffed mate.

          Mike · 26/04/2017 at 11:41

Derek do you have him and would you hold him? Im going Swallow to Fisher and then Roughy to Macrae but now Im not so sure cause roughy could score well

            whatyasmokin · 26/04/2017 at 13:42

Then you will miss a mid rookie from a rebuilding side that seems to have good job security.

All for what? Maybe an 80-110 out of Roughy, he won't even go up in value.

If it wasn't a hawks player Derek would be saying trade haha

HarryO · 25/04/2017 at 21:42

whose the better downgrade target of polson or balic up fwd??
& is WHE on the chopping block with a BE of 70?

    whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 21:45

Yep WHE should go, not scoring enough. If you have a mid/fwd rook you could swing them forward and grab Fisher on the bubble.

      HarryO · 25/04/2017 at 22:08

yeah looking to down grade JOM to fisher
& possibly WHE too polson or balic… cant decide which. maybe balic if named and polson the following week when back from suspension

        whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 22:27

I'd wait and get black in the forward line but each to their own.

          Beezneez · 26/04/2017 at 13:01

        whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 22:32

Pull the trigger on JOM > Fisher I reckon at least.

    Gameofsloanes · 25/04/2017 at 23:40

    I say no to Black
Think Parsons takes Black's spot when he comes back from suspension. He is more versatile

Martin · 25/04/2017 at 21:47

Anyone going early on marchank his be is obviously achievable i thinks it 30 or 40 odd points but I'm looking trying to get a full premo team ASAP!!! Thoughts?

    whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 21:56

Nobody else to cull? Print your team I have the BE's

      HarryO · 25/04/2017 at 22:09

keep him . as long as his making cash hold… give him another week an get shaw if u dont already?

    Thomas · 26/04/2017 at 11:20

One of the better scoring rookies, leave him as long as possible

Westy · 25/04/2017 at 21:48

I brought in Spencer and had Murphy. Do we have a likely injury duration for both of them?

In defense of Spencer he still got 41 in under half a game so he was running above his breakeven. iInjury notwithstanding it wasn't a bad move.

So do I bring in Martin to the rucks and bring a likely lad on the bubble into the mids?

    whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 21:55

Murphy is likely to play. Spencer will not.

Yes great move on Martin, and bring in Mid rookie Fisher I think.

    redherringfc · 25/04/2017 at 21:58

Thinks he's 6-7 weeks. Might still get a few games before/if Gawn comes back.

    Tony · 25/04/2017 at 23:10

With respect, Spencer wasn't such a great move – he would have cost the same after this week and we all got to see him play again. Not saying we could have predicted the injury of course, but the possibility of injury is yet another reason why you should try not to go early (on 1-gamers).

    SF4 · 25/04/2017 at 23:11

Yep, Spencer is out for 7 odd. Needs surgery.

    ChasingFinals17 · 26/04/2017 at 18:29

Murphy is up for selection this week apparently, probably won't score what he has the opening rounds due to he might be abut sore

The BONT · 25/04/2017 at 21:54

What happened to M.Murphy injury wise

    whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 21:57

Is likely to play next week.

TRIGGER HAPPY · 25/04/2017 at 22:00

I see everyone is talking about upgrading SPP or Marchbank or WHE but they all played this week and will probably hit their BE.

Surely the more pressing issue is to upgrade a non playing rookie to someone getting a game to generate some cash generation?
Or was I the only one who had a bench start of Rd 5 consisting of:

Tarranto, Eddy, Hannan, Barrett, Hibberd, and Newman? And Pickett but at least he played.

Might have to pod this one.

    whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 22:05

I ditched SPP last week for JPK, didn't go awesome but he only dropped 10K.

Main reason was I strengthened my mid and had GHS who I held for two weeks come back and reward me with a 102 at M8 (Beams M7 100)

WHE is going this week with a 69 BE he just doesn't get into the nitty gritty enough, and it won't be easy vs Geelong.

I'm seriously thinking about WHE>Black as long as he is named. I don't advise to do this move as it could backfire.

    SPS>Fisher for cash too.

      TRIGGER HAPPY · 25/04/2017 at 22:15

Just a shite bench then? 🙂

        whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 22:22

I have Fox and Barrett not playing on mid bench. Hope Fisher plays every week..

    whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 22:11

Marchbank has a low BE of 34 and is a big hold.

Can hold SPP too on a 41 BE.

      Derek · 26/04/2017 at 09:14

I thought Marchback had his best game. He will be ok for a few more weeks. Carlton backline will be seeing plenty of the ball

WHE has set a new benchmark for seagulling!

    Rocksta · 25/04/2017 at 22:29

Fair call TH. I have all of Eddy,Barrett, Hibberd and Newman on the bench, as well as Cameron whom I now do not think will get a game antime soon.
In contrast, I think Newman and Barrett will play soon, if not this week. The other guys just aren't worth enough to use a trade on, and even if you accept that, we are still only going to be trading to guys whom we hope will have decent JS ( Fisher, Hardwick, Black).
I think it's better to cash in the Rookies whom are worth more and nearing cash generation exhaustion. At least in that case, you'll have more in the bank in the case that the Fishers, Harwick's and Blacks of this world don't work out, not to mention getting more premo's on field quicker.
    My two bobs worth anyhow.

      Adrian Neems · 26/04/2017 at 00:41

this is a good point, l am considering two options trading m.hibberd to fisher at least this way fisher is playing and on the bubble…or should l go pickett to balic…as l think picket is exhausted….even though he has a low be….as the ball in carlton's forward line….who knows.

argh…help whats the better way to go.

        Derek · 26/04/2017 at 09:15

        If they play, they stay!

Rocksta · 25/04/2017 at 22:16

I had planned this week to cull SPP and WHE and bring in Grundy ( via Nank forward swing) and Fisher.
My concern however is the fact Bucks brought Cox into the side. Given our impotency up front, I think he will continue to play him for a while longer ( Even though he had a fairly ordinary game today). This invariably will effect Grundy due to sharing ruck duties from time to time, as it did today.

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 25/04/2017 at 22:18

Yep Grundy no longer solo will suffer the old sharing ruck duties curse.

      Derek · 26/04/2017 at 09:17

Yep. I went SMartin last week. Lone Wolf.

cjbravo · 25/04/2017 at 22:26

Downgrade SPP to Fisher and upgrade Roughy to Stef Martin?

    whatyasmokin · 25/04/2017 at 22:30

Would do that trade for sure. Roughy 100 odd BE I think.

SPP (BE 41) could make more but have to move on fisher, and SPP looks like a crap cash cow honestly.

    Rocksta · 25/04/2017 at 22:31

    Sounds good to me

      just last week

Rivo · 25/04/2017 at 22:54

Roughy & SPP & Swallow. Which 2 to trade out? If I take our Roughy & Swallow…

Looking closely at the fallen premo like Dusty & Treloar.

Considering Oliver, Macrae, Dusty, Wines, Gray, Treloar & a Rookie suggestion?

    Rivo · 26/04/2017 at 07:24

    Any suggestions?

      Mich · 26/04/2017 at 08:24

Probably missed your chance with oliver. Couldnt go wrong with anyone else on the list. Treloars price is the best value at the moment
Fisher is the only rookie im considering this week

    Derek · 26/04/2017 at 09:20

McCrae and Trelor are best 22. Not sure about the rest.

Steeeve · 25/04/2017 at 22:59

Balics chances of a return?

    Daniel Z · 26/04/2017 at 00:10

Even if he gets back in, he still plays for Ross. Likely to be in and out because Ross does not know how to develop young talent.
He did it at St. Kilda and he's doing it at Freo.

      VayJiney26 · 26/04/2017 at 00:42

Since you won't say it I will F.U.R.L. Give Ball lick a go.

      Beady Eye · 26/04/2017 at 11:03

I could have sworn Ross dropped a bunch of old blokes and replaced them with kids a few weeks back, and that Freo haven't lost since.

But forget all that, it gets in the way of the popular narrative…

Cpt Pugwash · 25/04/2017 at 23:02

Taranto OUT – Ballick IN (with a bit of luck)
SPP OUT – Parsons IN (gone early)

I've looked at my other rookies and in 2-3 weeks they'll be cherry ripe. Hence early move on Parsons.

Taranto won't make much more either, so Ballick In.

I have other slow growth rookies with not enough cash generation to top up the coffers.

I'm going Macrae,Greene and Franklin who has easy games coming up.

I'm top 800 with 29 Trades- It's time to move.

Be Brave Community. Don't Wait! Shop Early!

    Adrian Neems · 26/04/2017 at 00:58

hey mate your doing much better than me, just wondering why your bringing in parsons while he is still out suspended, not shitting on your strategy just wondering why is all mate.

      Cpt Pugwash · 26/04/2017 at 13:31

      Hey Neems,

My other rookies are on the slow burn. It's more about timing, if I don't pull the trigger now, then I'll have about 5-6 players peaking at the same time and others coming down enough to buy-in.

Also, I'm now prepared to lose a little cash for extra points i.e Buddy who I think will smash it for the next few weeks against weaker opposition and the return of other key swans.

      Can't keep dropping behind.

Granted, there are other rookies on the bubble who have presented themselves this week (Fisher and Hardwick).

    Derek · 26/04/2017 at 09:21

If Myers named, very tempting to get on early.

    whatyasmokin · 26/04/2017 at 13:37

    Don't like the parsons trade.

Balic if named and Fisher would be better.

    kim · 27/04/2017 at 11:36

Very brave mate, could be fool hardy though as parsons is no certainty to be back in next week. Reckon balic will be back in this week. I would not go parsons this week personally, why not fisher instead on the bubble this week?

John · 25/04/2017 at 23:03

who needs to go first? taranto, SPP, Barret, eddy, parfitt, or marchank i have 160k and i would like to bring in Hubberd so i was thinking taranto to hibberd via mcGgrath…. sorry if this makes no sense 🙂

    Derek · 26/04/2017 at 09:22

    If they play, they stay

    kim · 27/04/2017 at 11:42

No way I would go hibberd this week, he has just come back from injury and was out all last year. Injury trap for mine. Wait a week to if he can actually back it up first.

Holty · 25/04/2017 at 23:07

Its time to trade out whe and roughy. Just need to select a fallen premo or stef martin. Either way, will be happy

    Rocksta · 25/04/2017 at 23:24

Stef is bloody expensive at the moment. If your current rucks are doing okay, I'd wait for a poor game so price goes down, but this may take a while given his BE is 95 this week ( his lowest score of the year so far is 98).
Treloar at $558K is a steal. You saw today what he can do.BE is 113.
Hanners is starting to warm up and at $540K, he too is a steal. I fully expect Hanners and Treloar to average 110 to 115 for the rest of the season.

      VayJiney26 · 26/04/2017 at 00:52

Couldn't agree more. Handonberries gets the handshake this week and Pendles in a couple of weeks if his price is right.

      Choice · 26/04/2017 at 01:25

      Hepper at 510k too

        Choice · 26/04/2017 at 01:26

    Dean Billman · 26/04/2017 at 01:46

I'm doing the same, bringing in Jack Macrae and Z. Fisher.

boourns · 25/04/2017 at 23:14

What do people think of Aidyn Johnson from port?

    Powerage · 26/04/2017 at 09:06

He won't be a regular mate

Juzzy · 25/04/2017 at 23:17

Something aint right with Pendles.

2nd week in a row he has been sitting on the pine when the game is there to be won. In years gone by on Anzac Day he would have been at the coal face of every last quarter contest. Injury ? Problems with the coach ? Who's to know ..

I know I will get shouted down for this but I am contemplating dumping him for Fisher/Balic and the bounty that will give me to fix other lines.

I never dump premos and surely won't be bold enough to go through with this move but something aint right …

    Holty · 25/04/2017 at 23:21

All i know is im licking my lips with pendles. Welcome to my team in a couple of weeks mr dependlebury

    Rocksta · 25/04/2017 at 23:33

I agree with Holty but I also agree with you. He hasn't looked the same since being benched in the third qtr last week. I'm a pies Supporter and Pendles has carried injuries on a couple of occasions over the past few seasons. That said, he is still usually in the 90's. I haven't seen him play as bad as he did today for many a year.Hopefully common sense prevails and Bucks rests him this week to get over whatever it is that he is carrying. It can't be a form slump…………he diesn't have those.
I definitely however wouldn't trade him. He'll be back to averaging 120 plus in no time.

      Juzzy · 25/04/2017 at 23:44

      Hope so Rocksta.
Don't like that he denied an injury last week and again today. What's the point of that ?
      Something doesn't smell right.

        Rocksta · 25/04/2017 at 23:48

        Yea, agreed.
You'd think Bucks would jump at the chance of highlighting an injury to Pendles so as to deflect from why we are playing so Shite.
He definitely didn't look right today, that's for sure.

    Derek · 26/04/2017 at 09:25

Wells took a lot of centre bounces. Pendles and Adams pushed out

      Big G · 26/04/2017 at 16:32

I think they are grooming Treloar to be the number one midfielder. Pendles still a champion, but makes sense for others to share the duties of being main act.

Rocksta · 25/04/2017 at 23:22

Stef is bloody expensive at the moment. If your current rucks are doing okay, I'd wait for a poor game so price goes down, but this may take a while given his BE is 95 this week ( his lowest score of the year so far is 98).
Treloar at $558K is a steal. You saw today what he can do.BE is 113.

Kieren Jack has been confirmed out for next week, might see Robbie Fox back?

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 25/04/2017 at 23:36

Maybe Newman back in into def and push Mills into the midfield?

      Swans2012 · 26/04/2017 at 00:05

Yeah here's hoping, Heeney back in the mix now for that mid forward role jack has been playing, cmon horse bring back Newman!!!!

        poloko48 · 26/04/2017 at 00:07

Oh yeah forgot Heens was back, I keep looking for his flowing locks!

        VayJiney26 · 26/04/2017 at 00:56

Haze · 25/04/2017 at 23:27

Have $28k in the bank and 27 trades… Time get rid of Roughie (along with everyone else it seems!). Do we think Nank will be a top 6 forward by year end? or do I look at Buddy, JK or Lynch from Gold Coast. Much prefer the smaller mid type forwards for consistency and already have Dalh and Greene?

    Rocksta · 25/04/2017 at 23:40

Nank is a Ruckman, and a solo ruck at that. The others are traditional forwards. Nank will score more consistently than them, even though the others will go real big from time to time.
I'd take the consistency anyday, and yes, I think Nank will be a top 6 forward this year. He is currently averaging 112.6

    Finnius123 · 26/04/2017 at 09:53

I like Nank – also has that coveted rd 12 bye

Adrian Neems · 25/04/2017 at 23:47

ok so l think l am going to sit tight for one more week and give Swallow, SPP and WHE another chance at a stay of execution.

I have M.Hibberd on the bench, and didn't care if he sat there and got splinters, but now that Fisher is on the bubble only seems to make senses that l make this trade….thoughts community is this a good idea.

I have Picket and Eddy on the bench in the forward line…l want to hold Eddy, and Pickett whilst doing shit, l think will keep playing and be is low…is it worth going to Balic if he gets up from cough* injury and is picked…in the derby this weekend. Kind of hoping he doesn't get picked, so l can pick him up the following week…

Currently have 27 trades $132k cash. What do you the community think>>>???help needed lol

    John James · 26/04/2017 at 00:56

M.Hibberd has to go and now you have a good reason to do it,''Fisher'' at least he will be making some cash.I have the same problem with Pickett and Eddy on my bench as well,if Balic get's picked he will be coming in for Eddy, since the way Port are playing I can't see him getting a game for a while.

    Top Gun · 26/04/2017 at 11:57

Only keep M.Hibberd if you are using him like I am as a Loophole Tarzan (Swingman) …..ahhhhhh ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

Juzzy · 25/04/2017 at 23:51

Yeah. Forwards are a bit of a guess this year.

Like Nank as a top 6. I am trying to figure out how to get Macrae in. He might fit your parameters.

    Juzzy · 25/04/2017 at 23:59

    Sorry, in response to Haze

      Haze · 26/04/2017 at 00:28

Thanks Juzzy and Rocksta. Agree, should get more consistency out of Nank than the key forwards. i did like macrae at the start of year but went Dahl instead as didn't think I should have both. Hindsight! Thinking will try get Nank first as can see his price increasing more than macrae in the next few rounds. Agree?

        Juzzy · 26/04/2017 at 00:47

As late as it seems (cash wise) I reckon that's a good move.

Be sure you think he is a keeper. Don't forget the big blonde bugger from the Saints as an option.

          Haze · 26/04/2017 at 01:20

I do have a soft spot for blondes…I tend to group Nick in the "key forwards" basket with buddy, jk, lynch etc. whether this is fair or not, who knows. probably convinced macrae is a keeper b4 Nank which is why my first question – is Nank gonna be top 6? Ahhh forwards, always giving us grief. Haven't even worked out how to get Adams in my backline yet! Am on top of my league at the moment so no need to panic just yet. With fisher our best rookie def on the bubble, who is the best forward downgrade target? Balic if named?

            Rocksta · 26/04/2017 at 01:27

I reckon Parsons. Showed a bit of talent against the Hawks and has a bit of mongrul. I reckon Chris Scott will like that.
I'll be bringing him in Rd 7 after his suspension if named. Straight swap Parfitt for Parsons.

              Rocksta · 26/04/2017 at 01:29

That trade should nett around $130K as well.

    Daniel Z · 26/04/2017 at 00:46

My forwards are a steaming pile of garbage this year.
Did some quick math – for round 5, they combined to net me a massive 379 points…

I've got Nank and agree he'll be top 6. I am also looking at Macrae for an u/g.

Nank's in my ruck at the moment, may switch that up with my trades this round – looking at WHE / Roughy out, so could swing Nank forward and upgrade in the ruck if I don't go with Macrae (downgrade up front or mids – if the swing set works).

THE SALTSHAKERS · 25/04/2017 at 23:56

2340 moved into 677th overall, 28 trades (only used 2 on butler & newman), still have jom & swallow

Not sure what to do with them? id rather upgrade them both, so thinking of holding as ive held them this long. Dont see fisher as must have

    Rocksta · 25/04/2017 at 23:59

But you should be giving me advice, not the other way round.
Congrats on your great season so far.

    Derek · 26/04/2017 at 09:31

Well done. Great rank, you need to trade for points now. If Swallow and JOM are named you keep them, they will score better than the rookies. If not named -JOM, trade him.

    Finnius123 · 26/04/2017 at 09:52

Nice stuff – I would be trading for points now. Paint the fence with JOM & swallow – both not gonna be keepers or make any more real dosh.

      Derek · 26/04/2017 at 12:34

but if named, i would hold them. Having a JOM and/or Swallow on field instead of rookies will score better points

        Finnius123 · 26/04/2017 at 12:51

I'm sorry but I disagree. Say Zach merrett and SPP on field will score about 140-240 . Swallow and omeara combined can score anything from 80-200. What is the better deal there?

    Top Gun · 26/04/2017 at 12:00

Swallow to Fisher, JOM to premium mid (Sloane ranger?) or whoever you can afford and you think can be a top 10 mid.

      Finnius123 · 26/04/2017 at 12:52

      Sloane way too expensive

Adrian Neems · 26/04/2017 at 00:01

As my Dad said to me today….."trades are like follicles son…..HOLD onto them for as long as you can, a thinning trade balance cannot comb over the bald spots on your team score sheet".

Wise words from a wise man, on an important day, where stories are told and should be heeded.

    Juzzy · 26/04/2017 at 01:05

As a bald man I regard this as politcally incorrect.

I shall sue you in good time Sir. 🙂

    Swans2012 · 26/04/2017 at 08:25

Maybe there is a direct correlation between my lack of hair and my lack of trades later in the season?

    Derek · 26/04/2017 at 09:32

    Beautiful stuff!

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 26/04/2017 at 09:39

    JuddWarneLoveChild · 26/04/2017 at 11:51

Missy was great in round 1 and simply awesome in round 2. Severe drop for the 2 weeks combined with having this week off, suggest he got injured in R3. Reckon you've got to keep him too see if he recovers that early fine form.

    Swans2012 · 26/04/2017 at 12:32

Adrian Neems · 26/04/2017 at 00:15

advise please community, with parsons suspensed, does his price not move until he plays again, do the donuts from being suspended affect their price.?

    TigerMAN · 26/04/2017 at 00:28

No, It only counts if the player actually is named and makes the field. He Should be a nice target if he is named after suspension. then you should consider trading him in

    Booma · 26/04/2017 at 00:50

No. Scores & averages are only affected by games played.

Adrian Neems · 26/04/2017 at 00:33

that's what l thought, but read above that someone is trading him in this week….? Couldn't see why…but eh smarter people and higher ranked than me,….just thought l may have missed a trick.

Choice · 26/04/2017 at 00:37

Thoughts on Roberton? been killing it

    Finnius123 · 26/04/2017 at 09:50

Similar to Yeo – you have already missed his major price hike so no harm in having another couple of looks at him before bringing him in. Only purchase if you reckon he will be a top 6 backman. At the moment I have Lloyd and JJ ahead of him with the same bye round – could be a good POD but would wait a few weeks before pulling the trigger.

    Top Gun · 26/04/2017 at 12:03

I like him as a surprise top 10 backman and POD.

red5 · 26/04/2017 at 08:12

Only 3 rookies on a decent BE bubble
Zac Fisher MID $117,300 BE -57
Blake Hardwick FWD $134,900 BE -49
Harley Balic MID – FWD $123,900 BE -39
I'm leaning towards Fisher to Pickett

KSinny · 26/04/2017 at 08:31

What's everyone thought on Hardwick for the Hawks as a downgrade option in the forward line. With scores of 65 and 63 seems decent and is on the bubble this week.

    INPieman · 26/04/2017 at 09:09

I'm interested. Will be looking at him

    Derek · 26/04/2017 at 09:36

    Not good JS.

Hawks have no injury worries. There will be plenty of pressure for places. Duraye will likely be back in this week.

    Finnius123 · 26/04/2017 at 09:47

Interesting – probably fisher & balic ahead of him though. If Balic doesn't get named I will be bringing him in.

Saundo · 26/04/2017 at 09:04

Dahl or McRae?

    Derek · 26/04/2017 at 09:37

    Both. Must haves

    Finnius123 · 26/04/2017 at 09:46

Macrae is cheaper and I reckon they will both average the same from here on in – you have missed Dahl's purple patch

    Youngy · 26/04/2017 at 11:50

Get both in if you can

    Top Gun · 26/04/2017 at 16:17

Both but Dahl has the potential to go big some weeks

BradK · 26/04/2017 at 09:05

Parfitt -> Fisher
WHE -> Macrae or NRoo

Think Powell-pepper is better to keep than Parfitt, as I'd have to play one on the field and expect powell-p to return to 70+'s.

Have enough for either Macrae or Nroo, but thinking Macrae is the better option.

I know that upgrading the midfield would usually be a better option for points, but I'm only one off full premium in the mids (counting beams) and need to strengthen fwd line.

    Northernsoul74 · 26/04/2017 at 09:13

Macrae. Roo will drop in price a bit over the coming weeks.

    Finnius123 · 26/04/2017 at 09:46

Agree Macrae is the right option. Also agree that Parfitt should go before SPP. Just be careful that you are getting rid of DPP – if basic is named he would be a good swap for Parfitt. Like the thinking. Just make sure you can cover for MAcrae in the rd 11 bye – all our bloody premiums seem to have the same god damn bye at the moment! Macrae also leaves some cash in the bank over Roo, is more consistent and less injury prone – will definitely finish a top 6 fwd.

Tommy · 26/04/2017 at 09:10

Got WHE, JOM and SPP all on the chopping block this week. Should i double downgrade WHE and SPP to Fisher and Balic if named so i can upgrade JOM to a premo next week

JOM down to Fisher and WHE up to Greene/Nank?
Don't have to funds to bring in a premo mid yet as i only have 38k in the bank. Which option should i pick?

    Tommy · 26/04/2017 at 09:18

I could do option 2, but bring in Hanners, although already have Buddy and JPK so could affect bye structure, but Hanners is a steal at 540k

      Finnius123 · 26/04/2017 at 09:43

Bye structure is key – it is the first thing you have to look at for premos if you are going for overall rank. If you have 7 or more premiums with the rd 11 bye then don't get hanners – however if less than that I would get him in (just be confident you can cover five or six spots with on-field rookies)

        Tommy · 26/04/2017 at 10:34

Yeah i have 6 premos (if you count Beams). This is my bye structure across the lines.
        Def: 1 premo
        Mid: 2 premos
Fwd: 3 premos (2 with DPP)

So should i bring in Hanners?

Andy · 26/04/2017 at 09:23

Does anyone think Ward is a steal at 501k?

    Sammy · 26/04/2017 at 09:31

Won't be a top 12 mid and not enough cash growth in him to justify a trade, so you would just be wasting your time.

      Finnius123 · 26/04/2017 at 09:39

What you are saying is irrelevant. He may not be a top 12 mid by total – however if you believe he can hold an average of 110 + for the rest of the year then get him in quick sticks. I would like to see a couple of weeks of consistency from him first – however if he can turn his current form around and halt his price drop in a couple of weeks he is definitely on my radar.

        Steeeve · 26/04/2017 at 09:45

This is what I call the Hanners factor.

    Top Gun · 26/04/2017 at 12:05

Too inconsistent for mine with so many mids at GWS taking points away from him

    Derek · 26/04/2017 at 12:31

i mentioned this last week. It is going to be hard to reach Full premium this year because of the poor cash generation.

my calculations were that my average purchase price for keepers can only be $520k.

Guys like Ward, who are not in my best 22, might have to be looked at because of the value they give. he is in the group between top 12-20 whoes average won't be much different.

i was hoping to get a few cheaper keepers in defence (Simmo & Shaw) for under $480k, meaning i can have a couple of $560k in the midfield.

    Danners · 26/04/2017 at 15:17

Wait a week and you could be looking at Dusty, Pendles and others for only a little bit more

Tommo · 26/04/2017 at 09:25

Petrevski-Seton -> Fisher leaving $270,900 in the bank for next week?

SPS with a BE of 77 now that the 116 has been cycled out

    Finnius123 · 26/04/2017 at 09:39

    Like it

    whatyasmokin · 26/04/2017 at 13:28

    Doing that trade myself.

Ando · 26/04/2017 at 09:48

The big question is, can Clayton Oliver continue his barnstorming start to the season? Hasn't gone under 100 so far.

    Steeeve · 26/04/2017 at 10:49

Can't see why not bloke goes harder than Jock when the Saints go marching in.

    Youngy · 26/04/2017 at 11:49

Not worth it, Don't see him being a top 10 mid. Maybe next season

    neil Demons Delight · 26/04/2017 at 13:25

changed my view on him and keeping him risky though with sloan hanners AND MAYBE NEAL as good if not better

    whatyasmokin · 26/04/2017 at 13:28

Absolute gun, can score without a ruck.

    But you've missed the boat.

Steeeve · 26/04/2017 at 09:55

Thinking I might hold my fire for this week unless Balic is straight back in. In that case bye bye WHE and thanks for the quick $100+K.

Everyone wanted to upgrade D Swallow at his round 9 bye but he won't have fattened so I'm holding him. Will sit on the pine at m9 until he strings together a few big games. Capable of averaging 90 from here.

Powell-Pepper should get more mid time now Boak is out. Might not make a bunch more coin but should stay around his price until Myers is available.

Pickett is worth nothing so why not hold? Only needs one score above 60 (a big ask for the spud it seems) and his price will beef up. Remember last year when Menadue scored a ton after being awful for so long? I do because I held him. Because he wasn't worth enough to trade.

This is only one factor. The other is looking at premos.
Who know which forwards will be in the top 6-8 aside from Dahl, Macrae, Nank? Buddy is cheap but will get even cheaper. JJK has some tough games ahead. Another reason to hold off on trading.

In the mids I'm waiting a fortnight for Pendles to bottom out. Another reason to hold off on trading.

In the ruck Martin looks good but he's pricey and Archie could always come and spoil his party. Goldy is bottoming out but do you trust him? Grundy has Cox to contend with. Why go early when the cheapies like Witts and Sandi are performing well? Another reason to hold off on trading.

Down back we have Hampton, Newman and Otten making huge coin. I have Tom Stewart who is also looking good. Let them fatten. Another reason to hold off on trading.

Just my thoughts…

    Northernsoul74 · 26/04/2017 at 10:01

Hard to argue with any of this. I have SPS so will likely downgrade to Fisher or Balic but that's about it.

    Finnius123 · 26/04/2017 at 10:44

I agree somewhat – however if other people get to full premo before you then you are cooked. I personally am trading very aggressively – you may get 50k more out of your rookies but I will (hopefully) be way up in terms of points.

Two different strategies – whatever floats your boat I guess.

      neil Demons Delight · 26/04/2017 at 13:17

the winner last year had your philosophy ran low on trades early post byes and won think he had traded ROO late and scored 197 so there is two schools of thought I tend to agree with yours and get to prem quicker and then score heavy makes sense to me cheers

    INPieman · 26/04/2017 at 10:45

Good points Steeeve. I went back & had a look at Spudadue's scoring last year. As bad as he was he was a hell of a lot better than Pickett. And the odds of Pickett pulling a 100+ score would be a million to one. He just needs as you say that on 60+ & he might make a bit more. Not much point in getting rid of him

      neil Demons Delight · 26/04/2017 at 13:20

Good dpp too same as hibberd I am keeping both to the end

        whatyasmokin · 26/04/2017 at 13:47

        Good luck getting full premo?

    Swans2012 · 26/04/2017 at 11:51

I'm thinking your on the money Steve, swallow could be handy through the byes, will string some good ones together soon, although I'm only holding him as I'm $1600 short of being able to afford Simpson (Adams would have played mid for a bit). Swallow also a much better on field option than any of the rookies so not downgrading him. Spp will make more cash I reckon, might consider fisher if I've got a non playing mid rook but otherwise I'm backing you and your hold I'm thinking.

    SCdonkey · 26/04/2017 at 14:46

Demmit! There goes my M8/M9 after Round 9 I was looking at bringing in Swallow if he stays on the park. All i need is him to spud it one more game his price will remain as it is.

Plan was to keep Hibberd (Roos) in mid and have either Lloyd or Adams swing Back to Mid.

Finnius123 · 26/04/2017 at 09:55

Marc Murphy the 7th most traded out player this week after being brought in by every man and his dog the 4 weeks preceding…

    JuddWarneLoveChild · 26/04/2017 at 11:57

He was easily one of, if not still the best buy last week but copped an early knee injury. People must be rage trading him, he is named to play they'll all hit the reverse button.

      whatyasmokin · 26/04/2017 at 13:26

No he wasn't, his price was way too high last week.

        JuddWarneLoveChild · 27/04/2017 at 11:17

Yes he was, his price was $560K last week and ws the highest averaging/scoring player in SC. Everyone talking about jumping on Hanners this week for $540K… so your comment is simply wrong.

Sam · 26/04/2017 at 09:58

SPS and WHE out
Hannebery, Balic in

    Finnius123 · 26/04/2017 at 10:01

    Sam · 26/04/2017 at 10:02

I actually just reversed and removed Taranto instead of WHE, I feel without WHE I may be vulnerable on field

Ando · 26/04/2017 at 10:02

I've had Gaff from the start and after having 3 scores of 119, 92, & 123 has gone 78 & 79 in the last couple. Is he a trade? Or was it just Mitchell's absence affecting his scoring?

    whatyasmokin · 26/04/2017 at 13:25

Not sure he was ever SC relevant. That saying I would probably hold and deal with him later.

Boltons Blues · 26/04/2017 at 10:16

Ranked 1800 this week, improved my rank by 15000 spots to put me in the top 10k overall this week and looking to continue

Doch, Adams, Marchbank, Otten, Hampton, Stewart (Newman, Hibbered)
Danger, Sloane, Treloar, Titch, Fyfe, JPK, Selwood, SPP (Barret, Fox, Fisher)
Nankilands (Witts)
Dahl, Macrae, JJK, WHE, Butler, Parfitt (Pickett, Eddy)
26 trades left and 115k in the bank. Thinking a double downgrade
WHE -> Black
SPP -> Balic (if selected) which will give me 400k to upgrade a rookie mid to pendles or 2 fat rookies to fallen promos?
Thoughts? Help?

    Top Gun · 26/04/2017 at 12:13

SPP to Fisher or Balic. WHE to Lynch (GC). Think your forwards need some help more than your last mid.

    Dildor · 26/04/2017 at 12:33

What about using witts on field? He has good enough scoring, much better than a rookie. Swing nank forward and put witts into the ruck grabbing stringdick, or even mitch king (with the hope that he comes in soon to cover melbournes ruck woes) and offloading one of your forward rooks.

      neil Demons Delight · 26/04/2017 at 13:09

      Great advice Dildor

      whatyasmokin · 26/04/2017 at 13:46

Exactly, why have Parfitt on field when you could have Nank up there.

Would be ranked even higher if the team was configured properly.

    neil Demons Delight · 26/04/2017 at 13:07

Well one bb almost a replica of mine ranked 72 this week and wet down by over 15000 now around 5000 and same two trades for same reason pendles Really strong team no need to touch 3 lines when you get Pendles for a while need a green or buddy in forwards though good luck thank god I don't play you

Kyle · 26/04/2017 at 10:18

Looks like Murph is out for 4 weeks so time to straight swap for a premo

on supercoach where it has the comments it says he's out for 4 weeks

AuroraBorealis?! · 26/04/2017 at 10:20

I have zero cash in the bank so this week im doing a double downgrade of:
SPP -> Fisher
WHE -> Balic (hopefully he gets named this week as the injury was only minor)

Would it be better to trade out Taranto for Balic? With WHE i get 70k more, but if i trade Taranto i have WHE playing on the field and i rate his points gathering ability higher than TT's.

    INPieman · 26/04/2017 at 10:55

If TT doesn't play again I'd get rid of him. And with Coniglio & Whitfield returning shortly I don't like is chances. I think WHE has served his purpose & it's time to move on from him. SPP plays the Lions this week & his don't argues will work on fellow teenagers. I'm giving him another week

    neil Demons Delight · 26/04/2017 at 12:54

me too son both served their purpose and Fisher /Balic are ideal for pendles in two weeks

Banga · 26/04/2017 at 10:41

Paint the fence and bring in Hanners this week or double downgrade this week and bring in Bont next week? Midfield currently is:
Danger, Pendles, Fyfe, JPK, Treloar, Beams, JOM, SPP.

I am trading out JOM this week regardless

    Swans2012 · 26/04/2017 at 11:52

    Boltons Blues · 26/04/2017 at 11:25

I'm going to go out on a limb and say they both player and parfitt gets the cut

Dusty Spurs · 26/04/2017 at 11:13

What do people think of :

Taranto –> Fisher
Swallow –> Buddy

    TBone · 26/04/2017 at 11:31

I'd hold off the upgrade to buddy this week, has a monster be and will surely drop plenty more. Look to get him in for bottom $ next week or week after

      Dusty Spurs · 26/04/2017 at 12:33

It is 124. I think he could go big against Carlton, however I could also do a double downgrade and double upgrade next week.

    SCdonkey · 26/04/2017 at 14:55

Taranto to Fisher sounds good. But I'd wait for teams announcement. As a Buddy owner I'd wait another week to bring him in, he's gonna be even cheaper after this week.

Thomas · 26/04/2017 at 11:29

Trading out WHE and JOM this week. Bringing in Fisher but should i bring in hanners or Nank? Bringing in Hanners leaves me 30k and Nank leaves me on 90k left

    Youngy · 26/04/2017 at 11:48

    Bring in Hanners

    Derek · 26/04/2017 at 12:25

Hanners. You have missed the boat on the Nank.

      neil Demons Delight · 26/04/2017 at 12:50

might have missed the boat Derek but Thomas is really starting from scratch and Nank is 60 cheaper DPP IN FORM none of which Hanners is.Nank is also scoring like a mid…my humble opinion but clearly Nank ticks all the boxes cheers and well done last week

        Derek · 26/04/2017 at 15:57

thanks neil, i'm on the road to recovery, long way back though.

I agree with the Nank being the better option. Is clearly top 6 forwards.

I just listen to what Higgo always says, look at buying players cheaper than your opponents did.

    neil Demons Delight · 26/04/2017 at 12:39

Nank for sure. Not absolutely convinced about Hanners and because I am keeping Oliver there is only one spot left and that's for PENDLES cant have them all

Dice · 26/04/2017 at 11:33

Which 1 to bring in out of Macrae, Lynch (GC) and Buddy?

    Youngy · 26/04/2017 at 11:47

    Derek · 26/04/2017 at 12:24

McCrae. A genuine midfielder with FWD status. get him

Sam · 26/04/2017 at 11:40

Handonberries or Parker?

    Youngy · 26/04/2017 at 11:47

    Derek · 26/04/2017 at 12:24

Hanners. he is very SC friendly. had similar numbers to both parker and JPK but has higher SC points

      Sam · 26/04/2017 at 13:48

Thanks both. Trades made for this week – TT out for Fisher, then Swallow upgraded to Hanners. Let's hope team announcements are kind this week and i'm not hitting reverse.

iLoveNMFC · 26/04/2017 at 11:55

You put your faith in another man! You make him your captain!
You love him like you love your wife.
Then all he does is spend 3 rounds keeping you happy just to blow his load and leave you hanging for 2 rounds!
Is he finished boys?

      And very injured.

neil Demons Delight · 26/04/2017 at 12:32

I really think Hibberd from nth and Pickett are going to be invaluable. In years gone bye we would select two dud mids wiTh DPP .One with forward the other def..Now these two have fallen into our laps but beware those with STRD will struggle to get to premium. Those with Witts Cameron if he plays and Pruess can fill the void created by keeping non performing dpp s PICKETT and Norths HIBBERD..

    Jacko · 26/04/2017 at 13:24

Roughead wasn't too bad at the weekend so I'm keeping him for the moment but I am in a quandary over JOM. I assumed he would play last week and I am assuming that way again. I rarely select Hawk SC players and I regret my two picks now coupled with the fact that they are mid pricers so I deserve what I got. I checked their draw and they have a couple of winnable games approaching. Hopefully they won't lose too much money before I trade them out sooner rather than later. Still have 27 trades.

    Sharan · 26/04/2017 at 13:26

    whatyasmokin · 26/04/2017 at 13:43

Riewoldt too expensive. Has a 157 BE.

Lazza · 26/04/2017 at 13:50

Having Pickett @ $164K on the bench with a slow earn rate vs Fisher to deliver quick bucks – is it worth the trade?.
Net a pathetic $40K from Picket, but collect $100+K from Fisher over the following 3 weeks. They will be almost the same price after R6 but Fisher looks to have a better rate of return in the long term. Pickett's projection is almost stagnant.
Zero impact on bye rounds, but lose a DPP, Or I could choose Balic instead, if he plays.

How much value do I place on a trade? Is $100k+ worth it?
Both were planned to be traded for R9.

    Lazza · 26/04/2017 at 13:51

Forget last line .. from a different post.

Is this the last week Shaw will be this price? Thoughts?

    Eskimo · 26/04/2017 at 16:09

I mean so low. Of course it's the last week he will be this price.

      Sam · 26/04/2017 at 17:15

Tough one…he hasn't scored over 100 since round 1 but historically goes big against the dogs. If you can afford him and don't want to risk the price going up then bring him in

    Lazza · 26/04/2017 at 17:14

He will be cheaper next week.. His BE is 112… won't get near it… this will be good week against the Doggies to wait and see if he still has it in him …. I reckon he is cooked … has only scored 3 tons since last year's bye (13 games) … averaged 91 since then and has slipped to 86 average this year. Sits at 122 in the comp and going backwards .. 26th for defenders. Can you see him getting back to 100+ average and into the top 6? I'm staying clear until he strings a few top scores together ..

      Sam · 26/04/2017 at 17:34

Great stats there Lazza! Who do you see as top 6 defenders this year?

        Derek · 26/04/2017 at 17:46

he has been the victim of GWS good form. it may continue

        Lazza · 26/04/2017 at 19:20

Doc, Adams, Laird, Howe, with the other 2 a wait and see on Lloyd, JJ, Hibberd, ZakJ and Otten (potential keeper if he stays on the park).
Of the oldies only Montagna seems capable of breaking the 100% average this year.

      Eskimo · 26/04/2017 at 19:06

Agree nice stats Lazza. Appreciate it. Your question of will he be top 6 is very pertinent in that light. What will be the average of the top six is the next question I guess? It may not be that high anyway. So keeping these rookies March,Mcgrath,Hampton, and hopefully Newman may save trades and not cost many points.

        Finnius123 · 26/04/2017 at 20:13

I reckon they will average 97+

Adam · 26/04/2017 at 16:34

upgrading roughead to nank/N.reiwoldt. which one?

    Eskimo · 26/04/2017 at 19:10

      Eskimo · 26/04/2017 at 19:13

Sellars1220 · 26/04/2017 at 18:39

Not really sure who to trade in or out

JOM + Swallow > Treloar and Fisher
Pat Ryder + JOM > Nank and Balic ( or Fisher + extra 100k )
WHE + JOM > Macrae and Fisher
JOM + Pat Ryder > Roo and Fisher

So much good options here but it just need to be sure about them because I've burnt through 8 trades already.

    Finnius123 · 26/04/2017 at 20:11

Mate you are stuck with a few strugglers! All good options. Personally would go Swallow and WHE to Nankdaddy (and fisher) because he is a definite keeper who will keep rising in price, and then next week when Pendles bottoms out would pick him up for JOM and Swallow

      Sellars1220 · 26/04/2017 at 20:56

26 Trades, 140k
Shaw, Adams, Tuohy, Marchbank, Otten, Hampton (Hibberd, Newmann)
Pendles, Danger, JPK, Fyfe, Beams, Swallow, P-Pepper, Parfitt (Barrett, Pickett, O'Meara)
Sandi, Martin (Strnadica)
Dahl, Macrae, Nank, Rough, WHE, Butler (Eddy, Taranto)
I need some calculated trade advice please.

    neil Demons Delight · 27/04/2017 at 08:35

you have 13 solid keepers and depending on your strategy most would have maybe 15 -16 .This means about 5 -6 trades . 3 good def 3 good fwds rucks are /could be complete mids is your problem only 4 possibly 5 with Beams and that's where I would start be very wary of bye structure with on coming trades

Pman · 26/04/2017 at 22:38

Will be painting the fence this week but won't have enough $$ to get an ultra premo in so what does the community think is a better priority trade;

WHE for T Greene & Swallow for Balic/Fisher & $82K in bank?

Swallow for O Wines & WHE for Balic & $10K in bank?

    Finnius123 · 27/04/2017 at 08:22

Don't get wines before his bye

Northerner · 27/04/2017 at 04:16

Of the rookies emerging on bubble over next few weeks, who do we consider as the must haves, if any?

I have some trade out candidates, but none are absolutely pressing this week. However, I'm conscious we want some cash to get Pendles in Rd 8 or 9 – for those that don't have him.

I'm leaning toward
Balic, a year in system, DPP and good JS

Not fully convinced on Balic and keen to get views on Fisher.

I'm with you Northerner. The choice of rookies over the next few weeks can make or break a season. Myers to me is a must have. Balic and Fisher maybies not 'have to haves' and the jury is out still on Black who you didn't have on your list. Parsons looks the other likely type as you have mentioned. My order is
    Balic (DPP is attractive)/Black

There isn't much between them so it becomes a difficult choice.

Fisher and Balic for the immediate future not convinced with Black has opposition –l Lincoln Parson Parfitt one bad game and gone Myers a definite when on the bubble melican and McNiece look capable .Johnson has electric pace but a history of hammies and also has opposition

Hi community,
Will be downgrading Taranto this week if he isnt named.
The cash will let me upgrade WHE so i was wondering what the better option is.
Option 1: WHE to Macrae (leaving me 87k)
Option 2: WHE to Martin via Nank (leaving me 50k)

Struggling to make points this year with almost every underperforming premo with their woeful avereages looking pathetic on all lines.

Ideally I'd like to wait until bye rounds but I think I'm going to go early and get Selwood now with a break even he should reach I don't see him been much cheaper and am in desperate need for reliable 110 plus scores.

Question is I can grab him now leaving me with only 30k in bank or should I build some cash considering there are some good deals on the likes of Bont and Martin coming up

      Port will win · 27/04/2017 at 18:17

      in what way

        Russty_ · 28/04/2017 at 00:23

Broomhead sucks, and has no security, and Buddy is a premium forward. Stick with Buddy, he'll turn it around.

Shout-out to Jock for his great pick in Jeremy Howe.

    Tiger · 27/04/2017 at 14:12

Yes so long as Buckley doesn't move him forward

Recorded something for it yet? Surely you can stick that W upside down and make a crack 🙂

Tiger · 27/04/2017 at 14:19

Was keen to bring in Hannerbury this week and then done some research. He's handballs have increased by 10% on last season and if this was to continue I doubt he can hit those 120-140 scores. Maybe still favouring the leg? What your thoughts as didn't seee him play last round. Cheers

Kermo · 28/04/2017 at 08:41

Community – would love your thoughts on trading in Cripps versus Heppell.
Will Cripps increase his average from here on in (i reckon Murphy will tail off now), leaving more points fpr Cripps. But i dont see Blues winning too many games this year.
Heppel was a premo mid a couple of years back & has done it before. But Bombers have had the year off. Can Heppell improve his average from here on?
Would love your thoughst community.

    Bells E Bubb · 28/04/2017 at 12:52

Are either of those guys in the top ten by end of year? Doubtful.
Given the shambles that is my SC season so far I am going to back Oliver in this week to keep it up. Yeah shoulda, woulda, coulda got him 100k cheaper but he still saves 100k or so on the other top ten candidates.

Bells E Bubb · 28/04/2017 at 10:38

What is Fisher's job security at Carlton like? Better than Balic's? I need a downgrade this week. Was going to go Marchbank – Mellican, but I'll leave it another week.
Newman is back ! Should get a run of games now and score ok too.
