You guys rock! Make Tuesday afternoon here in Perth fly by
3 choices community .. I can trade Riewoldt out, swing NansCrevis forward and grab Maxie Gawn .. leaves me a little light in the forward line but a big chance to strengthen overall team structure. Also need to downgrade Taranto to Hannan to have enough cash. Leaves $68 grand. Or should I do a straight premo to premo and bring in Kennedy or Franklin? one trade only. Third choice is to swing Dalh forward from the midfield and grab any premo .. again 1 trade only but very little cash remaining. Thoughts community .. thanks
option 2 if you insist on ditching roo this week
option 1 if you dont mind holding a week and waiting to see if it was just a blip for taranto.
Def 3
I don't have him, but Roo is probably a hold given it could be two weeks? If you are intent on trading, IMHO Gawn is a must, so I would go option 1. You also need to find a way to get Dahl in the fwd line at some point – he obv is not a premo midfielder long term.
Thanks Snakey, Abel & JK .. Dalh was always going forward .. put him in for there for structure really, a Justin Case option .. allowed me to go strong in defense, pretty deep in the mids and a 2-1-5 forward line.
St Nick to Luke Hodge via DPP. I'm going for overall rank and I see this as the best move to make, NANK will be at F3 and HODGE at F4. Help me escape the cookie cutter! (Also pocket 70k)
Could just be replacing him with another injury waiting to happen knowing Hodgey's track record in that area.
Dilemma's Dilemma's. What a round. .Ive got ($341k – M Johnson, $197k – Jake Kelly, $117k – Andy Otten) all in the forward line on field. Should I trade to McGrath or Marchbank? and which Stain should I remove from my team? Thanks guys
All in forward line otten and kelly???
Don't trade any yet, its only round 1, they could turn it around.
They all performed according to their price honestly.
Why even think of trading after 1 round…except perhaps roo. It can only come back and bite you.
Delightful podcast gentleman. Thank you for keeping my spirits high after a poor week 1. In fact just thanks – your talented offerings each and every week is really has what has kept this old guy playing.
Highlight of the week as always Crouching! You too Jock and Higgo.
My team – Treloar&Order SVU – scored 2,154 this week. Thinking of trading out Jy Simpkin and Tom Hickey for Hannan and Nankervis. Giving me about $180k in the bank. Think both are upgrades in terms of scoring output and appreciation in price. Don't necessarily have to make the trades but seems logical for future upgrades and cash building. What's everyone's thoughts?
Lachie plowman is an absolute must have
ok
i havnt heard much of him is this his second year or something?
I would hold 1 week. Simpkin & Hannan could score totally different this week.
Also Hickey was up against Gawn, it can only get easier for him.
Reassess after round 2
Love the team name!
Nice podcast lads! As I am tempted to bring in Nankervis, I probably will hold off unless Swallow can't get up. Went to Adel vs GWS and didn't see much of Taranto. JS looks pretty low and probably will go into Hannan/Butler pocket the cash and see what happens in Round 2
Really dislike trading rd 1 but Riewoldt ahhhh the pain
Who to get is my question ?? Thinkn kennedy buddy are the top picks, thaughts please
Those are both good options personally id be bringing in Dahlhouse if u have not got him as I believe he will be more consistent. But that's just personal preference.
Thinking of the same trade but also looking at M. Murphy. Had Oliver Z Jones and Rockliff in my team early last week.but changed to Marchbank O'Meara and Bont to get Roughead at F5. Not too much harm done but wish I'd put Butler on field instead of Pickett. Thinking will wait a week to see what happens. O'Meara may score better – 3points and looked rusty. Definitely want Rockliff back ( maybe crazy but looking at trading for Kelly GWS) after Roughead to Hannan. That's why it will be better to wait a week to consider.
PS this was supposed to be a reply to Luke in the next post.
O'Meara to Oliver….talk me out of it somebody haha
Chill out man! You're gonna prematurely trade (in your pants)!
One has averaged 90+ once playing in a weaken midfield, the other is in his second season playing in a stacked midfield
No trades by round 18
Trading Omeara for Oliver is simply trading for the sake of it, Omeara didn't even score badly!
Cheers to the purveyors of paralytical podcasting for your collective wisdom. For a moment there everything smelt like roses. Then i looked at my rookie bench again and saw some substantial staining. Time to roll up the sleeves and start scrubbing!
Should I trade smith for hanan this week? The issue is if macgath goes well this week I won't be able to get him and Hannan in
You can't have everyone, especially if you don't have cash in the bank.
Do it
Anyone else have Nank, Marchbank, Butler on field and sitting back Thursday night, thinking yep this Supercoach caper is easy? Haha the gods are cruel
Yeah, have all three, but played Pickett on field so he kept me in perspective lol
I had him on the pine luckily. Played Taranto and Mountford.
Absolutely packing my dacks that half these rookies will be back in the twos before bringing me any (let alone enough) of that sweet warchest nectar.
Missed McGrath, butler and hoskin elliott. Does the community think all 3 of these rookies are must have's?
At this stage NO, possibly next week if they score well
Nobody is a must have after one round. Except Gawn and Danger, but they were must haves since last year.
Butler backing up his 90 will make more cash than those 200k rooks backing up 80's, so I see him as a bigger must have. Hold this week though
not yet
Looking at the most traded players makes me feel Sick.
If your looking to tradeout the likes of Dahlhouse, Pickett and Eddy and Trading in the likes of Dusty and Heppel consider that we are only 1 round in.
One round is not a good indicator on their future performance.
For example Last year Papley started with back to back tons and then didn't ton up for the rest of the year
Bingo. You nailed it. Past performance does not necessarily mean similar performance in the future.
Remember, round 2 is only about points, not cash. Cash becomes king going into round 3. Save your trades this week, and grab those missing rookies that have backed up from last week.
Unless you have a premo that is crippled and out for 2 weeks+, (Riewoldt) you may want to consider a corrective trade to a similar forward premo this week. If you do not have Franklin and/or JJK (TJ Lynch) at this time, then you may want to pull the trade trigger this week.
Yeah could be the case to trade Roo, but I still have Dahl, Macrae, Nank and Steele up fwd….I'm covered 🙂
Happens every year, Youngy. Suspect most of them are chasing the weekly round prize money
Those guys or gals either live their whole lives impulsively or have no idea how to go the season distance in Supercoach, they end up being the easybeats in their leagues, or ranking over the 50000 mark.
Was flying overseas on Saturday, so missed the Swallow out 🙁 I was also just short of $$ to add Marchbank to my team, but now want him! Thoughts on Swallow to McGrath which will leave me a bit more cash to allow me to bring in Marchbank next week if he performs again? Also have Smith – will use him as loophole next week but likely use swing options to bring Hannan in for him next week as well, but don't have enough coin to do those moves without the Swallow move this week.
Good thinking. You have a plan trust your gut!
If you listen to the naysayers it will be to late.
No one knows the future and how it will play out.
I think Swallow will be back this week mate….hold him
As Chris says … Swallow almost certain to play this week. Could have played R1 if the game was on Monday. ….. Hold.
What do I do with nick Riewoldt I'm really stuck I go for overall rank and he could be out for long then 2 weeks or might not be out for that long and I don't really want to field a rookie for long
Helppppppppp
TRAAADe
use $ for mid pricers on the rise!!
Fix the failed rookie farce!
Agree, Trade.
If you are going for overall rank pick your favourite premo fwd and sleep well.
Otherwise spend the next few weeks sweating in your sleep and having recurring nightmares about Pickett and/or Eddy.
That was p1ss funny!!
Told my neighbour to lay down in the garden to give me a seizure salad. So wrong crouching but was in tears,
Joke of the year so far, marginally better than Peter higgin "bottom" of the hill bottom.
Sage like advice on trades but reckon u have to get big Maxy in ASAP 130 in 3 qtrs just warming up.
If Nank did that to Kruz what is big gawny gonna do?
what did Nank do to Kruz? Kreuzer got the better of Nank
He only had 8 touches and scored 114 sc points. Only had 27 hit outs but large amount to advantage I read earlier in the week. Can't find the figures of exactly how many myself? Where does one find this stat?
CD don't let that info public. Need to pay for it.
Amazing how 3-4 months of supercoach study can go out the window after round 1. Opted with Treloar and Hannebery over Pendles and Kennedy and had Hannebery as captain. I know it's early early days but the dream of the 50k is no more and the joy of supercoach is somewhat diminished after a horror start. Feeling pretty damn shite lads.
Long way to go … focus on the positives and make your next move a good one!
Chin up Mate.
It's going to take a few weeks at least for the overall rankings to have any real significance.
What happened last week may be the polar opposite this week.
Keep your supercoach joy.
Higgo in my head said talk about bell curves zzzzzzzz, an early 1800-2000 score is retrievable, a poor structure less so and and poor temperament is not. Fortunately, the last is the most important for supercoach success and you sound like you have it deep inside, stay strong.
And, when all else fails (5 weeks later) build a round win team with all the KPFs! Enjoy.
Same here but I had Hanna as VC. Really disappointing. I also have Doc and Dahl. Just the wrong combination in Rd 1 and just a bit disappointing with all the rookie scores. I had Butler on the bench and also have Smith. My hope is that Norths rookies improve, surely they have to play them but they looked a bit ordinary and they have a tough draw early.
The person with the best score had no Gawn, Danger, Pendles or Doc. Great team but if your structure is strong you can make up a bad score in round 1.
I am looking at making just one trade an INJURY TRADE.. Do i go hibberd or joel smith to Mcgrath? I have a very light defence so perhaps a rookie lope hole option will come in handy
Watch the team sheets closely.
If Hibberd gets dropped (which he might) trade Smith to McGrath. Use Hibberd as your loop.
Better to have a loop who doesn't have a smashed up shoulder and will be missing months.
Another option is to wait one week to see how all this rookie carnage plays out …
Great podcast as always guys.
Like many I have the "Riewoldt Dilemma". With little cash the alluring Marchbank and higher end def rooks are out of my reach unless I trade Roo for Higgins. I cannot do this purely as a matter of principle.
I have been contemplating the popular Nick down to WHE but that buggers my structure and will end with me punching myself in the head come round 18 when I am out of trades.
So I think it's Nick to Franklin and pray like hell my bench rooks make some money or new options present.
Or……he might only be out for 2 weeks and you'll wish you'd held him.
Footy/Saints tragic (sorry Wombat for mentioning the saints) but I am backing 4-6 weeks.
Not a doctor. Purely speculation. From a marketing point of view if your most revered player went down in the first week of the season wouldn't you spin it to keep memberships and attendances on the rise.
I hope he does a Jim Stynes though and gets back this weekend 🙂
Yeah I love the Saints and Nick but…I'd still wait for his official medical report or tests he has to do over the next week or so, "bone bruising" might not be that bad, technology's pretty good these days for treating injuries with electrical stimulation etc. P.s, he's not in my side, and really, sidewaysing him to Buddy wouldn't be such a bad thing 🙂
1482 people have already traded out Hanners hahahaaaaaaaaaa
Since we are poking fun, my favourites are that Toby Greene and Josh Caddy are so high up the exit list. They didn't do much wrong, considering one was first game with club and the other is forward in a team soundly beaten.
Watching Caddy's 50/50 mid-fwd role I'm concerned but you're right he probably wont play much worse than that & still knocked out 73, does look so slow in the black and yellow.
He looks slow whatever colour he wears.
I'm sure most are just tinkering and will reverse
If you watched the game you would know why, TOG 72% Tackles ZERO. Horse has given a great inside mid player, an outside role on the wing and he looks injured to boot. I'm prepared to say he's cooked as top 10 mid.
This week will be very interesting, I thought he looked slow and carrying a niggle. If he doesnt ton this week going to be some worried SC coaches (myself included)
sc 101….never trade a gun sideways…mostly just wastes a trade.
Was gunna hold rooey dropped him to nank banking the caah
I don't think I am going to trade riewaldt. I bloody love what he produces and if he is only out for 1 or 2 weeks I can suck that up with someone on my bench. Can someone tell me im not being a goose
If you are going for Rank I think you may have to bite the bullet and trade him. Going for leagues, hold
Touk Miller or Jack Steele
Did anyone watch and tell me what you role they played and how they played
Here's an idea with roo.
If u have Butler put the E on him tomorrow night..
If he goes OK, scores well leave roo on the ground.
If he spuds then reconsider if u want to trade roo to another fwd.
Don't think there r too many fwds who u would want to bring in Thursday so wait and see and reassess Friday.
It's a good theory Trigger unless you want to pick up Nank, in which case you're stuck with having to make an early decision.
bye bye rory schlong 77 isnt good enough im oing im down to powell pepper i feel like pepper will be a keeper if puts in a couple of good scores
Yeah yeah whatever.
you didn't have power pepper to start with?
Sloane will outscore Powell-Pepper by at least 400 points come seasons end. Don't trade your premiums out after one week.
think you missed the font that was written in….'sarcastica'…can be hard to pick up now and then….
Wellingham for plowman and miles for butler or Hannan ?
Don't climb out of one trap just to fall in another.
You have Wellingham?
Wat was I thinking hey
At least you don't have Cyril Rioli I'm guessing.
I'm thinking Riewoldt to touk miller frees up a bit of cash to fix the crappy rookies that we all have. Was juggling touk pre round 1, what's everyone's thoughts on him? Or should I just play it safe and swap him to macrae but then rule out being able to pick up the more expensive rookies
I like Touk and he was very good late last year. Good value and would take him over players like Wingard or Heeney.
if you are trading out NRoo, you should get another premium. the idea is to get closer to full premium, not further away.
Cesar Salad indeed. Will be seeking Wines and Jones this week.
Both unlikely to be top positions in their respective lines, waste of trades imo.
Jones possibly worth the risk as he's much cheaper.
Chasing last weeks points never ever works out
Didn't catch the GWS game, how did Taranton look? 44 points from a 200k player isn't exactly the return I wanted
It was a high intensity game. And his first real game of AFL, & away from home against a very good side. Should do better against the Suns assuming he's selected. I'm giving him another before making a call
He looked well off the pace. If they keep hum in the team it may take 3 or 4 weeks for him to settle in with the rhythm of the big boys game.
Wasn't near the ball much, heard from GWS press conference that they're likely to make a few changes. Wouldn't be surprised if he was one of them
Might last a few more weeks at best. Surely he's the out when Coniglio returns.
169 savage coaches have dumped Nat Fyfe. Wow…….Ruthless
Surely they've made a mistake!!
Yeah ruthless and perhaps a little disturbed … sounds like someone I know …
Disturbed is challenging the bye master at his own craft
Insanity. What were they expecting? The guy put up 108 (Fyfe) and Treloar was thereabouts as well (or will be).
Just more people chasing points. Happens every year. Seeing hanners greene caddy fyfe treloar all being traded out in massive numbers and the number of people bringing in JJK makes me laugh
169 Idiots
I started this year with a 2-0-6 defensive structure and a 4-1-3 forward structure as the defensive rookies looked to be able to perform decent enough and the rookie options in the forward line didn't look great.
However, this week seemed to give the indication that such a defensive structure is not suitable.
I have both Riewoldt and Joel Smith, meaning that I have the opportunity to fix some structural issues.
What I'm proposing is trading Smith to Taylor Adams & Riewoldt to Mitch Hannan to beef up my backline.
Thoughts community???
Normally I would advise against round 2 trades. But that sir is a great solution to your problem. With the rubbish scores the defence rookies coughed up I think you need a D3. And from what I saw of Mitch Hannan he's looking like a must have. Probably just a case of this week or next week.
Where do you have Hibberd? Mid or defence?
You might be able to do a straight trade NRoo to adams if you have the right swing set.
Good to hold off on Hannan until named round 3.
What your whole team look like, let's see if you can swing NRoo straight to adams
If you have Hibberd in defence and Parfitt or Pickett in mids…. trade out NRoo, swing Parfitt/Pickett forward and bring in Adams in midfield.
Swing Adams to defence with Hibberd
Derek you majestic human, your suggestion has worked wonders. I did have Hibberd in defence, meaning the the swing was possible. Now I can see what Hannan produces next week and if a trade from Taranto down to him is the best move.
Thankyou kind sir
welcom
Can't believe 1510 people have traded out Hannebery after one poor game. FYI he hasn't had a score that low since Round 21, 2013. So clearly he will come good.
Let's hope so Jez. There are going to be a lot of nervous Hanners owners Friday night. Rumours have swirled that he might be carrying something but nothing has been confirmed of course. His lack luster JLT form carried over into Rd1 but hopefully his pride kicks in and he flips back to the Hanners we all know.
But if he goes say sub 80 and the other Sydney gun mids ton up panic will run rife and then the temptation to sideways will be massive. Until then you have to keep the faith this round for sure and hope it was just a temporary blip on the radar.
Spot on. I went with JPK over Hanners thankfully due to his ultra-consistency, but one bad week shouldn't have you hitting the trade button.
I see Heeney might be ready for round 3, something else into the mix to think about.
Dumped him. Looks like a shadow of his former self only 72% TOG and 0 Tackles. Appears injured and did not impact the contest. Will move him on for either Selwood or Heppell (cash generation).
I didn't see much of the game but apparently Hanners didn't spend a lot of time in the guts. I've heard the rumours he's carrying an injury. If he has another poor score this week his price will crash & his owners will flee in droves. But the opportunists will circle & strike when the form inevitably turns around. And the same applies for Cripps
You can always count on vultures and sharks to circle a juicy fresh carcass in the making. 🙂
this year the opportunities to make cash are limited. Success will come from good buying.
Hell to the yeah on that one Derek. Picking off premos at huge discounts will be vital
Couldn't agree more Derek. Picking off premium players at their lowest price will be crucial this year.
Hanners had a medial knee injury in the GF. He didn't have surgery but did wear a brace for some time. This is why I didn't pick him or Parker who also had an injury pre-season. Hanners is a late target for me once he has proven he is injury free.
Of his 71% TOG, he only spent 50% in the middle in R1.
Hannas and Cripps are both in my preseason top 10 mids. Jumping on them at a big discount is a dream for me. Only problem is they stunk it up in round one so that bad score won't stay in their three round average for long enough. Not that the people dropping the both seem to care…
RGray and Sloane might be juicy as well
Talk in Adelaide is that R Gray will be spending a lot of time FWD this year
It said that on the AFL website.
This might not make sense but need help if you can understand it
Should I trade roo for touk miller which frees up cash and can trade Joel smith to McGrath( would trade roo this week) and smith to McGrath next week to see if McGrath performs thiss weeks. And if Taranto doesn't perform I will make him into hannan ( next week)
Or
Roo to buddy or Kennedy(this week) but to get McGrath I have to trade down Taranto to hannan if he doesn't perform again. (Next week)
So option 1 has risk with touk but might be an only 2 trade move.
Where as option 2 I will most likely have to make 3 trades.
Thoughts?
??
tough without any coin
I would trade Roo this week to Buddy and watch the rooks
Then watch the rooks this weekend to see where you're at
I'm trading Roo this week to Miller, partially to free up more options next week if needed, although my rookies are generally ok,
I have Butler, Nank, Steele, Marchbank – don't have smith or pickett.
Option 2 has less risk going premo to premo, but then you have rookie exposure risk ( and you still have smith as well).
Either way it's risk. Wait until teams are announced and see if there's any rookie carnage, then decide. Seems to me that rookies are presenting more risk than mid pricers at present, ( Job Security, poor scores) but it's only week 1…
How RUBBISH was Lynch I picked him over JJK unbelievable!!
Think you're being a bit harsh there Jono. Lynch was pretty well held for most of the game v Brisbane but still managed to kick 3 goals. Sure Kennedy has the games where he goes 150+ but he can easily follow that up with a 50 the next week. Remember it's only one week out of 23.
Fortunately Lynch came home like a freight train in the 4th qtr or the discrepancy would've been even larger. But the ups and downs comes with the territory as a KPP owner. All those NRoo owners who are trading into JJK this week could receive a rude awakening in Rd2.
Last year he did exactly same thing with a humungous 180 against the Lions in Rd1 but only an 84 the following week. In fact he failed to ton up in well over half his games last season (13). So the reality is that new JJK owners this week may have already missed his best score for the season. He did however go huge against the Saints last season so I guess we'll see which particular line of history repeats or not.
As in GC Suns Lynch who scored 101?! Tongue in cheek perhaps?
He was pretty good considering his team's performance. The umpy didn't help either … should have had at least 3 free kicks for goal if the umpy had realised the jumper he was wearing was actually his opponent.
100% correct Lazza should have had a few free kicks. Umpires were terrible.
haha Erogenous
I told my son not to pick JJK because he can't score away from home. He told me to get stuffed & picked him anyway. He's been reminding me about it all week. Damn 8 year olds. There is no Flat Track Bully like JJK. He beats up on rubbish like no other. Have some patience with Lynch. I think you'll find he far more consistent
Considering lunch still scored over 100 even with a few bad calls that didnt go his way i would still be more than happy with lynch. Not like JJK is gonna average 170 for the season anyway 😛
Someone like me tho is licking my lips and have both in the team tho 😀
Do we need to get Housten and Hannen
Hannan appears to be the more enticing prospect although it's always difficult to be too conclusive based on one round of scores. If he spuds out say a 45 this weekend we may feel a little differently about him, even if that seems unlikely right now with the Dees playing the Blues.
So you probably need to think about finding a spot in your team to bring him into for next week assuming he backs up with another solid score in Rd2. Still think it's a tad premature to make that move this week unless you are perhaps dealing with an injury like NRoo or Smith (using DPP wizardry). Even then you should really explore all your options first before committing to a rookie off the back of one impressive game.
The major concern with Houston is his JS. It's whether he can hold his place when Pittard returns. But whilst most of the rookies deposited steaming turds, Houston was good. Under no circumstances can you bring him in this week. If Hannan backs up another good performance this week it's simply a matter of who makes way. Mr Pickett & Mr Taranto have large question marks against their names
And maybe Mr Roughead too. He's no use getting us 70s
Roughy….. .https://imgflip.com/i/1majkl
No, if you can wait a week, that would be the best option
Like many I went shallow in my Defence with my starting line up. I also have Roo. I am concerned his injury is more than 1-2 so if it's more like 3-6, well through the miracle of DPP swings I can bolster my Defence. Basically I can pick anyone back the and have Simpson and Laird.
Who's the best Premo to get back down there? My one stipulation is they need to have a low injury risk. I don't want to have to trade them out in two weeks time.
shaw
Looks like there is no shortage of good defence options. Shaw or Adams. Or if your spuds are large enough Jeremy Howe
I'm Howe is definitely on the radar
You could also consider saving some coin on a Tuohy who also has an attractive Rd12 bye for many sides. Has played 94 games in a row so you don't get any more durable than that!
Those savings can then be applied to patching up another vulnerability in your team in the next week or two. Although we're only one week in it's beginning to look like the year of the midpricer. Those who went more GnR got severely punished on the opening weekend fielding a bunch of spud rookies unless they had a JJK or Dusty to offset the pain. As many of us predicted in the preseason this is the worst rookie class we've ever seen and those who didn't pay heed suffered the consequences in Rd1.
So the best way to avoid playing those spud rookies is to invest in one or two midpricers that look set to take off and that have some basis to back it up like either a role change or an opportunity at a new club such as a Tuohy / Steele / Higgins / Nank / Jones etc.
Cheers SCaddict, Tuohy a possible selection. Just waiting on more news on Roo
Early days SC. Its a big call to suggest the midpricers route is going to be better than the GnR after only one round. In my experience the midpricer team will always go better over the first few rounds as they have less rookies onfield.
I should also be honest and admit that I'm one of those that stuck to the GnR structure, I'm guessing you went with more midpricers this year?
Seizure salad lol!!! Man i love u guys.
Hey community, is 2 trades too many for round 1 considering Ill potentially need to make 2 rookie corrections next week?
Ive got Roo and I agree with Jock that we have to move him on. I also have Horlin Smith who ripped out a modest 63.
Do I give Horlin Smith another look or trade him out now to someone like Clayton Oliver?
I'd definitely be moving Riewoldt on Steve. But I'd be holding Horlin-Smith for another week.
Agree, Dont sideways trade
Horlin Smith 63 will only be in his price movement for 1 week. His score this week is far more important. You absolutely have to keep him
+1
gee…. 63 is pretty good…
Yeah not bad for a guy priced at $234k and given an inside mid role to assist Danger and Jelwood
Thanks lads. Just needed someone to talk me out of it!
What's the news on big Maxy Gawn?
What news, dont tell me he is injured
Ha ha relax Youngy. He just had some back soreness after the last game so is listed as a 'test' on the AFL injury list. But I'm sure a beast like that will be right to go by Sunday.
Although there could be a few anxious coaches Thursday night just in case Goody decides to rest him up against the Blues and give Spencer a go. However I'd be staggered if he is listed as an OUT tomorrow.
I was going to swing NANK fwd for roo and trade in GAWN….
What shoukd i do community??
good trade if you have the cash
Will they risk gawn this early in the season against carlton?
If his back soreness/stiffness is fully 'gawn" he will definitely play. Percentage could be a huge thing this season, with so many teams vying for the 8, so you want to win and win big where you can.
But in the unlikely event he is rested it will have his owners scrambling, especially those who boldy went into the season with no ruck cover.
I was not that bold.
Unfortunately my ruck cover (Nank) is in my fwd line tomorrow night and Gawn plays Sunday.
If Gawn doesn't play a lot with this cover won't be scrambling … they'll be screwed. Oh well, fingers crossed.
Higgins or Tmiller, moving roo on but looking for someone around 450k and under, need the cash.
I got nroo so have traded him to Gawn moving nank forward lucky I had a little cash to do this
Who in for NRoo?
JJk? Dahl? Someone else?
Roo = Nick Riewoldt (Saints)
JJK = Josh Kennedy (West Coast)
Dahl = Luke Dalhouse (Bulldogs)
Others u might want to no
God = Garry Ablett Jnr (Gold coast)
JPK = Josh P Kennedy (Swans)
Nank = Tom Nakervis (Richmond)
SPP = Sam Powell-Pepper (Port)
Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. If u need to no any other abbreviations just reply to this comment
JJK all the way. Rhymes too.
Mason Cox is dropped :))))) Grundy is going to be OK thank god
Is it possible to leave a league to join a different one? As i am already in 10 leagues
Yeah mate, but not after leagues have officially started, it's on the list of things to do on the left of the page. If it's not possible cause league has been autofilled, then the option won't be there.
Best option for Reiwoldt, play it safe and trade to a Kennedy/Franklin/Macrae type, or risk a Higgins and bank the cash??
Depends what you're banking the cash for, if you think you may need to fix up some mid-price/rookie selections then Higgins may be alright. However it's too early in the season to be banking cash for the sake of it.
JJK should average more than those options by R23 though
keeper for a keeper
Just it B/S that Gawn is suspended for 1 week?
Do players prices change after round 2 or 3 ??????
Round 3 mate
Cheers mate
No idea..
I got Vince suspended so I needed to put on otten or he need who may both be dropped.
Got reiwoldt and don't have Butler or Hannan
Also got Hanners in the guts…
Thinking of going drastic, Reiwoldt to Higgins and Otten to McGrath.
Means I fix the Def and don't need to cover Reiwoldt with Pickett/parfitt.
But I'll miss out on one of Butler Hannan next week.
Never traded round one… But these are crazy times.
Melb play late on Sunday. Gives you a chance to loophole one of your rookies see how they score before trading.
Thoughts on VC loophole options this week?
Pendles VC into Danger C, or
Danger VC into Fyfe C
Hey all.
If we are silly enough to chase the rookie corrections from round 1.
And we also plan 2-4 correction trades to go full premium.
Do we trade this week??
And if we do trade and our players are not part of thursdays game. Do we wait til Friday. When full teams are out??
I dont need any tiger or pie corrections til next week and that is only if hoskin-elliot fires again. Gonna give Tarranto one more week.
But think I could be up to 3 corrections and the math dont work.
Yes there will be a few frustrated coaches next week looking at the trades they should have done to allow the trades they need to do.
NANK 124 Legendary !!!
Real value for money.. And we beat collingwood… doesn't get much better 🙂
Stick it up those Pies supporters. I've already started making plans for a Richmond grand final this year….
Jock, Higgo, Crouching one and Co. I have a Bombshell announcement and if you gave me the opportunity to reveal the secret of supercoach success I shall speak my words of wisdom with the one fundamental rule to the blueprint formula for maximum output. This is my 8th year for supercoach as I can remember. Back in 2010, When Michael Barlow (Freo) was a bargain rookie selection for round 1 for $130,000, who ended up averaging 116 for the year from 14 games in a row then broke his leg. Moving up to over $500,000. Back in 2009, Greg Broughton (Freo) was a bargain at $89,000, who ended up averaging 98.7 from 15 games. Brilliant work and dedication has driven this site to new heights and well done fellas. I'd be most humbled to appear on a News Segment on an upcoming Podcast to reveal my formula for success. My best year was ranked 615, Worst year around 14,000 mark. Nearly almost top 1% every year. Out of 250,000 plus Coaches not bad for a yearly output. This is Groundbreaking….
I hate saying it and even more so I hate doing it with elite premiums.
However im afraid I will be trading out hansonberries he just looks flat, he just is running like his usual self, it seems as though he is carrying a injury, think I will swap him for the BONT although don't be surprised if Libber makes top 10 midfielder come the end of the season. His confidence is growing week by week and tonight he was back to his best tackling like he did back in 2014.
Good luck all
Lots of rookie Supercoach this year. Rance traded out FFS. Deep end of gene pool people ….. get hand off berries nuff nuffs.
