Supercoach Rookie Spreadsheet

JLT is OVERΒ – timeΒ for the complete JLT Series Rookie Spreadsheet

You can use this spreadsheet to see what each rookie priced player scored, how much time they spent on ground and how their price might rise (or fall) to if they score the same when the real stuff comes around.
The average on a full game is only an estimate, using a bit of Peter Higginbotham style footy maths.
Dual position players are only listed once in their first listed position. Eg MID/FWD will be found in MIDS.

Updated team after some suggestions from the community

Def: Doch, Laird, Tuohy, Hampton, Vickers-Willis, Stewart (Melican, Guthrie)
Mid: Danger, JPK, Selwood, Bont, Fyfe, TMitch, Omeara, SPP (Barrett, Wigg, Hibberd)
Ruc: Gawn, Sandi (Cameron)
Fwd: Dahl, Lynch, Rough, Steele, Mile, Butler (Eddy, Parfitt)

    Rowan · 13/03/2017 at 10:27

Can't see Guthrie getting a game early. Or Melican or wigg or Cameron or miles or butler or parfitt. The rest looks good

      Tommo09 · 13/03/2017 at 10:32

My rookies will change as R1 teams are named

    Johnny · 13/03/2017 at 12:12

the best team ive seen sooo far!

    Josh · 13/03/2017 at 16:50

    need Shaw down back

    Gary · 13/03/2017 at 20:40

Your either high or dunk that team is terrible or you could also be a two hole.

Danners · 13/03/2017 at 10:30

Superb Barron! Interesting to note that no forward rookies averaged over 80 other than Taranto

    Carl · 13/03/2017 at 10:38

Will he get consistent games though?

      Danners · 13/03/2017 at 10:45

That is the question… Lots of cheap rookie forwards around but not all of them have averaged well

        SCDamien · 13/03/2017 at 11:25

I reckon Taranto is more likely than not to line up round 1, but it's more a question of how long he can stay in the team. I have in my team right now, but not going to count my chickens just yet.

        Fozdaddy · 13/03/2017 at 11:38

I feel like Taranto will get Deledio's spot while he's injured, and will need to play well in the opening few rounds to keep his spot and force someone else out

          demon_spud · 13/03/2017 at 12:52

Coniglio out for 6…enough time for Taranto to play and make cash

            Danny Boy · 13/03/2017 at 14:56

was just about to mention this, Coniglio being out makes Taranto a must have IMO

          The Stiv · 13/03/2017 at 21:08

6 weeks so he could only miss 4 rounds. Is that enough time for Taranto to make cash?

            Randomcliche2 · 14/03/2017 at 17:06

Some but not enough really. I try not cash in before 3 price changes min but preferably 5.

Captain Risky · 13/03/2017 at 10:49

Some slim pickings in that lot.

The best options for cash generation look like the rucks! ….Sandilands, Nankervis, Witts, Vardy, Spencer then ?'s- Pruess, Cameron, Longer

Light in the rucks and spend the $ elsewhere for me.

    Chenz · 13/03/2017 at 10:51

    Sounds risky to me captain..

      Captain Risky · 13/03/2017 at 11:55

Absolutely πŸ™‚ A high chance of regret at some point in time. Until then, full gas and flying by the seat of my pants!

        demon_spud · 13/03/2017 at 12:53

Need 4 bench spots in the Rucks…that one position not enough anymore

          Tyruddanaut · 13/03/2017 at 21:45

          New plan… 28 bench spots

    wighty · 13/03/2017 at 20:08

Totally agree….Nankilands = 1 mid prem that I dont have to trade in, and hopefully a 400k cash boost after8-10 rounds.

    Billy · 13/03/2017 at 22:17

Jeez this made me think long and hard about my ruck division Captain. You might be onto something here!

BFG6 · 13/03/2017 at 11:04

Thoughts on Clayton Oliver?

    Ozzzz · 13/03/2017 at 11:24

Too much risk attached to him, probably wait if you really want him

    SCDamien · 13/03/2017 at 11:29

He could be good, he could be a trap. JLT form can be an illusion.

    INPieman · 13/03/2017 at 11:34

No chance of being a top 10 mid & too expensive as ride up player. Pass

      neil Demons Delight · 14/03/2017 at 13:46

Totally disagree pieman Made a glorious debut with the Demons Delight but hey mate keep flogging him to be a dud better for me. Is Marchbank a JLT Trap? and who is the best mid between 550-585k? (Besides Fyfe)

    Richy · 13/03/2017 at 11:14

No, he is a very talented player but just couldn't break into gws 22 due to his consistency and injuries. Tom Mitchell, he will pig it out

    Alferton · 13/03/2017 at 11:16

Not sold on Marchbank, but not sure who else to go with have Hampton for D4 stuck for D5/6.
Mid field option love T. Mitchell huge potential.

    SCDamien · 13/03/2017 at 11:32

The ball will be the Blues defence more than attack so he should get the ball a fair bit.. If he scores in the 80s (like he did in the JLT series) then he could get above 400k before you offload him.

      guest · 13/03/2017 at 17:22

      1. scoring in the 80s won't get you to 400. 2. he won't score in the 80s. JLT trap. he is kpp.

        Ozzzz · 13/03/2017 at 17:31

Are there any other options for D4, I have Hampton

          Osei O · 13/03/2017 at 17:34

I think you need to learn the supercoach ways my friend, Zac Dawson looks like a great option!

                Randomcliche2 · 14/03/2017 at 17:15

Interesting also that 0.7% of people have also left their team logged in at their mates place…

      That's the plan Damo!

Demon · 13/03/2017 at 11:12

Def – Shaw, Simpson, Laird, Hampton, Hibberd (NM) Otten (EVW, Stewart)

Mid – Danger, Treloar, Parker, Titch, Priddus, Fyfe, Oliver, JOM (Barrett, Miles, Parfitt)

Ruck – Nank, Sandi (Cameron)

Fwd – Roo, Greene, Dahl, Pickett, Butler, Eddy (Begley, Houston)

$95k left.

Thoughts pls πŸ™‚ first team I’ve tried with no premo ruck and not sure it sits well with me. All rookies subject to change/bench swap of course.

    Tibor · 13/03/2017 at 11:47

Looks pretty good demon, maybe a fwd line question, did rough come under consideration

      Demon · 13/03/2017 at 12:52

Thx Tibor, he did, lime all of you I have played around with many teams but dislike have too many midpricers as surely those returning from injury won't all pay off, worried about my rucks as it is πŸ™‚ so for this version I tried without roughy to see how it felt.

    Big Daz · 13/03/2017 at 13:18

Doc for Simpson and you have nailed it.

      Demon · 13/03/2017 at 13:24

No chance lol, had Simpson all last year, which was my first time playing, and he was rock solid. Sentimental point for me and not willing to let go πŸ™‚

    Jeff · 13/03/2017 at 17:36

    SPP

      BlakeyP · 13/03/2017 at 21:17

    who is nank?

Mad Man Madams · 13/03/2017 at 11:14

Top shelf write up Barron. You clearly posses the excel skills that many lie about on their resumes.

    Dee · 16/03/2017 at 01:12

    30 likes champ…. gotta be a record!

GNR · 13/03/2017 at 11:15

What is everyones thoughts on Zak Jones from sydeny, sits @ 307k. Was watching the game last night and he attended center bounces and was in midfield for stints. has a great midfield around him and he mainly kicks. tackles well and goes in hard. Priced to avg around 55 mark, is a risky pod at awkward price but if can avg 80-85 would appreciate to 460-500k. interesting to see what others think as ive liked the look of his game in a good side, 24 odd disposals last night, 21 disposals 11 tackles the game before. heeney out for a few weeks will allow him to roll through midfield again and does rebound from defence.

    INPieman · 13/03/2017 at 11:30

If we are starved of rookies in round 1 he's an option to consider. Nasty price but & an almost certain trade with an unknown dividend

    Captain Risky · 13/03/2017 at 11:40

Looked really good last night and had another cracking JLT game earlier. Run, carry, tackles and kicks more than he handballs. Not super DE last night though St Kilda pressure was on. Also last night Mills was quite and only played around 50 % TOG, he's probably a better user. Unsure how well they will both score and who gets what roles.

Some risk, but slotted into the Capt Risky team nicely.

      GNR · 13/03/2017 at 12:02

McVeigh on long term injury list I think. Jones has his spot!

I cant fit a premo and rookie in instead of jones. short of the cash so if he fails I can downgrade to Guthrie when he gets in.

    wombatsfc · 13/03/2017 at 11:59

Definately worth the punt GNR. It's between him and Mills for me. Jones got more game time in JLT but the downside to Zak is that he will get a tagging role against some midfields. Seeing as Jones is 100k cheaper than mills he looks to be a wiser option for cash generation BUT he only needs two tagger games in a row to stuff that up completely whereas Mills could be D6 keeper.
    V Hoppers Jones 114 TOG84%, Mills 111 TOG80%,
    V Giants Jones 54 TOG85%, Mills 89 TOG 77%,
    V Saints Jones 103 TOG87%, Mills 38 TOG 47%
Jones ave 90 in JLT from an ave85%TOG across all 3 games. 1.05ppm
Mills ave 79 in JLT from68%TOG across all 3 games. 1.16ppm

      GNR · 13/03/2017 at 12:10

Mills priced to AVG @77. how much will he go up is the question unless you do look to have him as a keeper as you say wombat. I don't see him as a Top 6 or Top 8 defender TBH. If jones were to Avg 80 mark you can upgrade to a genuine top 6 Def. comes down to what can you do with the extra 113k…..

        demon_spud · 13/03/2017 at 13:22

Mills will be a jet, good brain and composure, worry would be his tank. So he might fade end of the session, as long as you have trade to sideways to premium. Rested more in JLT as Horse knows he hasnt got a tank and wants him ready for the season.

      Chenz · 13/03/2017 at 12:54

What about Lloyd as a more safer alternative to either of them?

        John James · 13/03/2017 at 13:39

        That's what I'm looking at,could end up my D4.

    Juzzy · 13/03/2017 at 12:31

While I was reading this post terry Wallace was on sen suggesting that Zac would have a breakout season comparable to Merretts last year. With heeney, McVeigh out and Mitchell gone he is very tempting .

      Bells E Bubb · 13/03/2017 at 17:17

Agreed – only danger is the tagging role which he is certain to get. I just can' t see who else would get it. Maybe Cunningham if he is in the team. Mind I think he will still score ok with it as he has the speed to work off and provide run – but won't go BIG SC wise. Remember Horse gave the tagging role to tich a bit last year – Horse is no friend to SC players.

    Juzzy · 13/03/2017 at 12:43

Having said that I am currently having horrible Jesse lonergan flashbacks . Mid priced defender, more mid time, breakout season etc … Feels eerily familiar.

      GNR · 13/03/2017 at 12:54

At least jones isn't sporting a terrible man bun like lonergan! I'm willing to take the risk on jones, he has a great midfield to feed it out to him, loves to tackle, rebounds well and has a nice side step on him. My only main risks in my team atm are jones, nank and steele. I had steele last year to break out but he was staved at GWS with that premo midfield of theirs.

        Bells E Bubb · 13/03/2017 at 17:18

Steele is a total gun. Should've been snapped up by Richmond or Carlton; he'd be in every SC team if he had.

      INPieman · 13/03/2017 at 13:52

There is a Lonegran stench about it for sure

    Beezneez · 13/03/2017 at 14:42

Traded him in for Marchbank this morning after thinking about him a couple of weeks ago. Also wanted to trade in Steele previously but went for T Greene instead but strengthened my fwd line by trading in Steele at F6. for Taranto. Had to trade Goldy for Nankervis to achieve these trades. Not keen on having Nakilands as rucks but have the option of trading out Oliver to a cheaper player (Swallow?) if I change my mind. Lloyd (for Jones) is another consideration.

mitchellsims10 · 13/03/2017 at 11:15

Updated team after spreadsheet

Def: Docherty, Laird, Adams, Hampton, Marchbank, Vickers Willis ( Stewart, Otten)

Mid: Dangerfield, Kennedy(JPK), Trealoar, Bontempelli, Fyfe, O'Meara, Swallow Powell Pepper (Barrett, Miles, Hibberd)

Ruck: Nakervis, Sandilands (Preuss)

Fwd: Dahlhaus, Macrae, Greene, Roughead, Taranto, Hoskin Elliott (Houston, Eddy)

50k remaining
Any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated

    wombatsfc · 13/03/2017 at 12:02

Pickett is more likely to play round 1 than Barrett,Miles,Hibberd otherwise it's a good looking team

      mitchellsims10 · 13/03/2017 at 12:10

Thanks wombatsfc I might do a straight swap with Pickett and Miles

        @t_woof · 14/03/2017 at 13:10

Wise move, keeps DPP. I have my doubts over Miles playing round 1.

    Big Daz · 13/03/2017 at 13:24

Ruck division a bit thin. Surely Sandi will miss a week here , miss a week there and you will get a doughnut.
Witts as an emergency Ruck could solve that problem.

      mitchellsims10 · 13/03/2017 at 15:49

      Thanks big daz

    Emma · 14/03/2017 at 10:22

I really like this team, I am looking at similar set up in rucks but with Witts as a backup.

    Kev · 14/03/2017 at 10:59

Good looking team, mitch. You've taken that risk with your rucks so I'd run with it. If Sandi starts to miss games then trade him and move on, trying to get the cash to turn Preuss into Witts would change too much of your team.

Preuss is a chance to play early, as is Cameron. If he does get him in your forward line in place of WHE. Houston can hold down F6. Give you double the insurance

      Brian · 19/03/2017 at 00:15

Isn't Huston still a rookie and likely to stay that way?

BrownlowBoy · 13/03/2017 at 11:18

Cue Supercoach Spud question regarding a West Coast midfielder.

    BrownlowBoy · 13/03/2017 at 11:21

Wait my bad looks like he's already asked it above and it's been deleted. Spam I assume.

      INPieman · 13/03/2017 at 11:31

Maybe he's finally worked out an answer

        Blaknight · 13/03/2017 at 15:13

        Probably Cousins.

Richy · 13/03/2017 at 11:28

Looking at teams being posted here baffled by the similarities, going to be an interesting year

    BrownlowBoy · 13/03/2017 at 12:03

Most years teams start similar but as the season progresses people take risks in attempts to get ahead of the pack.

      INPieman · 13/03/2017 at 13:57

Happens every year. Value gets the better of us & teams are similar. But it's how your trade & pick off pods at the right time that really matter

        Swans2012 · 13/03/2017 at 20:51

Worst thing you can do is to change your starting team just to be different, like you said it's in the season that matters

Alferton · 13/03/2017 at 11:28

Hi Community
Thoughts on my midfield please.
Dangerfield, Kennedy, Treloar, Fyfe, T.Mitchell, Beams, JOM, Swallow (SPP, Barrett, Hibberd).
Thanks.

    Chenz · 13/03/2017 at 11:38

dump swallow and play spp on field to eliminate too much risk in your mids, personally id take JOM out as well and upgrade him to a prem

    Big Daz · 13/03/2017 at 13:25

Swallow is a waste. Replace him and you are on the ball.

      INPieman · 13/03/2017 at 13:55

I wasn't very happy with what I saw swallow spitting out

        scott · 13/03/2017 at 17:57

    sincs84 · 19/03/2017 at 16:22

    Who is SPP?

FearTheBeard · 13/03/2017 at 11:34

Thought I'd seek some feedback on the latest update, I have literally been doing my head in over this though finally running with this and feel fairly happy. Would love some opinions :

Docherty, Shaw, Adams, Marchbank, Hampton, Otten, Vicker-Willis, Stewart

Dangerfield, Pendles, Selwood, Trealor, Fyfe, Beams, Oliver, Powell-Pepper, Pickett, Hibberd, Parfitt

Nank, Sandi, Strna

Dalhaus, Franklin, Roughhead, Steele, Taranto, Miles, Houston, Eddy.

My only real line of thought now is if I downgrade someone like Selwood to Titchell and upgrade Strna to Preuss or if I downgrade even to Swallow or JOM and potentiall upgrade a rookie to Greene?

    BrownlowBoy · 13/03/2017 at 12:03

James Harden reference as to your name?

      FearTheBeard · 13/03/2017 at 12:19

Haha, I been growing 1 before his fame mate!

Though I am a huge fan too πŸ˜‰

      FearTheBeard · 13/03/2017 at 12:20

Any comment on the team lol and questions though?

    BrownlowBoy · 13/03/2017 at 12:47

I'd personally downgrade Oliver to a rookie and then upgrade Steele to a premium.

      FearTheBeard · 13/03/2017 at 13:10

Thanks mate, might drop Oliver to JOM and upgrade Strna to Preuss just for more cash. Happy to hold Steele.

        John James · 13/03/2017 at 13:47

I like both Oliver and Steele would keep both, don't understand the knock on Oliver if he av90+ that's OK by me.

        John James · 13/03/2017 at 13:49

I have Oliver at M6 and JOM at M7.

          FearTheBeard · 13/03/2017 at 13:51

Yeh I thought about running JOM too though it was him or Oliver I think for me.

Marco_Polo94 · 13/03/2017 at 11:42

Ryder lock if named as lone ruckman? Or is the Nank still high on the Community's arousal curves?

    jezzahill · 13/03/2017 at 12:05

I've been tossing this question up myself. I think Port are leaning towards a Ryder/Trengove combo which means Ryder would do most of the ruck work. One thing he has going for him over Nankervis is that he's averaged over 100 in the past. Nankervis is still unproven really so while he's been great in the JLT, he may not measure up in the real stuff.

      Marco_Polo94 · 13/03/2017 at 15:31

Having climbed the mountain before certainly does make Ryder out to be the safer of the two doesn't it. I feel as though one of the blokes will make your season while the other will burn you. Absolutely no clue though which is the right selection… might wimp out and select a premo as R1. Problem with that is our top ruck options this year haven't exactly blown us out of the water with their JLT performances. I know it is only JLT and they don't need to prove anything, but certain ruck structures and or fitness issues haven't exactly eased my mind as to who will be top 2 rucks this year.

    FearTheBeard · 13/03/2017 at 12:31

Same thing I've been unsure of.

Had both, traded Ryder out. Brought him back, traded him out again…

      Redgumwon · 13/03/2017 at 13:39

Hawks rucks are very average. Ryder in my view still hasn't shown us what he has against a gun ruck. I'd be passing on him at this stage for better value or even putting my $$$ into a premo such as Saint Nick who looks set to play on the wing??

        FearTheBeard · 13/03/2017 at 13:51

Nick or Buddy is the question???

          Redgumwon · 13/03/2017 at 13:56

Nick I'm going with playing up the ground more

Chenz · 13/03/2017 at 11:44

Community thoughts on K.Turner? Prior to last season there were massive wraps on the kid out of north before he got into trouble/injured. Has massive potential and looks to be in their best 22..

    Captain Risky · 13/03/2017 at 12:07

In my team, but that's not a good guide! Has potential, and I think he's in the 22 as well, which is the biggest bonus given the options available.

    Kevan · 13/03/2017 at 12:31

It's good to be talking rookies Chenz. Looks to be in the best 22. Looks, also, to be capable of making money and some much needed points from our forward rookies. I just need the money to buy him first. Seriously looking at Taranto, but I don't like paying 200k for any rookie.

      demon_spud · 13/03/2017 at 13:27

Only 21 years old and hasn't missed a session all preseason plus played all three jlt games averaging 85% tog, to me that's nothing but good signs going forward for the kid as long as he's learnt from his past off field issues

Tibor · 13/03/2017 at 12:00

Starting to confuse myself would appreciate any advice

Heater, Adams, Martin, Marchbank, Hampton, EVW. (. Often, Stewart)

Danger, JPK, Fyfe, Sam Mitchell, Jobe, Beams, Jo'm Taranto. (. SPP. Hibberd Greenwood)

Stef Martin. Sandi. ( Cameron). Will dump stef for big max if Brisbane pick smith instead of mcstay. Danger to tom Mitchell for the extra $$$.

Roo, Dahl, Buddy, Rough, McCarthy. Pickett. ( choi. Eddy)

Help me please

    Tibor · 13/03/2017 at 12:03

    45k left

      Redgumwon · 13/03/2017 at 13:42

Dump McCarthy and put Taranto into the forward line. Then move SPP onto the ground in the midfield. Then you can pick another mid rookie and look at upgrading Martin in the backline with another $100k or Watson in the midfield?

Tim · 13/03/2017 at 12:09

JPK or Hanners?

    SCDamien · 13/03/2017 at 12:29

JPK won that battle for me by a hair. Can't go wrong with either.

    @t_woof · 13/03/2017 at 18:32

    Parker.

Has better recent numbers v teams Sydney play first two months compared to JPK and Hanners.

Let Down By Rookies · 13/03/2017 at 12:11

With the limited rookies we have on offer this, will be my team.

Simpson, Shaw, Laird, Marchbank, Logue, Hampton, ( Otten and Stewart )
Danger, Hanners, Jelwood, Treloar, Fyfe, Titch, JOM, SPP, ( Brodie, Barrett and Atley )
Hickey, Sandi ( Pruess )
Dahl, Rough, Steele, WHE, Taranto, Pickett, ( Houston and Eddy )

have 51k left in the kitty.

    Big Daz · 13/03/2017 at 13:28

Would spend the cash to strengthen your Rucks.

Dahlhaus, Macrae, Roughy, Steele, Taranto, Pickett (Black, Eddy)
68,900 in the kitty
thoughts lads?

    josh · 13/03/2017 at 16:56

upgrade Beams with the 68k. Sloane has had interrupted pre-season no contact work

Kevan · 13/03/2017 at 12:21

Thanks for the spread sheet Barron Fantastic tool. However, thrown ruck rookies a curve. Which way to go, loop hole or money makers with Pruess and Cameron? May go with M11 as loophole this season.

Jack Blucher · 13/03/2017 at 12:39

Thoughts on my team community?
Docherty, Laird, Jake Lloyd, Hampton, vickers Willis, Tom Stewart (Newman, Guthrie)

Danger, Treloar, Selwood, Fyfe, Titch, Matt Crouch, Beams, SPP. (Parfitt, Hibberd, Wigg)

Gawn, Sandi (Strandica)

Dahl, T Lynch, Roughy, Nankervis, Black, Eddy, (Pickett, T Smith)

    FearTheBeard · 13/03/2017 at 12:46

Black & Wigg & Guthrie & Black can pretty much all be cut. T Smith too down in the forwards.

    Gawn is a ballsy move.

    Boyoboywowee · 13/03/2017 at 12:50

I have lloyd also he will breakout

Boyoboywowee · 13/03/2017 at 12:49

Lloyd from sydney ? Break out season ?

    SCDamien · 13/03/2017 at 14:30

    Highly likely.

    Chenz · 13/03/2017 at 14:31

    He's got my interest

    Ted · 13/03/2017 at 17:07

Careful with lloyd, Hannebery, Kennedy didnt look like they were going 100%

    jimmy_raiders · 13/03/2017 at 22:45

As good as Adams and cheaper too

    Ben · 21/03/2017 at 00:01

I'm not sold. You can't be confident that he'll get the midfield time or attacking roles to have the ability to breakout fully. There isn't much of him either and physically I can't see him surviving long term as a midfielder if he did find a role.

BrownlowBoy · 13/03/2017 at 12:50

Coniglio out for 6 weeks. Opens up a spot for Taranto.

    Tim · 13/03/2017 at 13:03

Lock Kelly in with his injury

      BlakeyP · 13/03/2017 at 13:50

    McCarthy

Demon · 13/03/2017 at 13:14

Thoughts on Jayden Hunt? Acting a demon in my side now I have dropped Gawn, petracca and vince may not be reliable, Viney expensive, so mulling over Hunt and Oliver, both of whom I really like, Salem also. JKH was my pick until injury

    John James · 13/03/2017 at 13:54

I have Oliver at M6 thought about Hunt, but couldn't fit him in my Def with my structure.

    fatboyfat7 · 13/03/2017 at 23:36

Maybe a year too soon on Hunt….

    Tibor · 14/03/2017 at 10:14

Go for it demon, both rippers, no point waiting you won't see them this cheap again. Mid price always a high risk but you have to have some so get the one's most likely to break out. For Melb to improve that improvement has to come from these two as much or more than any others. Oliver is under priced every time he started to really impress last year they put him back on the shelf and rested him. It was all about development and he is good to go now. Only concern with Hunt is I can't see opposition allowing him so much free run if he and the team start to become a threat to good sides…Not convinced about Salem yet and JKH is a big no no,

    neil Demons Delight · 14/03/2017 at 14:05

BOTH GUNS oliver will have a breakout year no doubt best mid we have had since Wells

BrownlowBoy · 13/03/2017 at 13:24

How deep are people going on each line?

    Big Daz · 13/03/2017 at 14:43

Better to spend money in the centre.

    CoachDamo · 13/03/2017 at 14:52

I think you need to make sure you start with the best rookies, regardless of which line they're in. Some years you'll fill your midfield with rookies and go deeper everywhere else. This year I imagine it'll be the opposite – deep midfield with more rookies in defence and the forward line.

    Seb · 13/03/2017 at 15:52

I've gone with 2 premo defenders, 6 premo mids and beams, and 3 premo fwds

    @t_woof · 13/03/2017 at 18:40

    Right now.

3-0-3 (Includes Lloyd as premium keeper)
    5-2-1
    1-1-0
    3-0-3

Sorry if I sound like an idiot but why can't I view the spreadsheet?. All the cells are blank when I open the spreadsheet. Would appreciate some help, thank you.

    Choppers · 13/03/2017 at 13:47

When you open it and are faced with the blank lines, go down to the bottom of the page and where it says NOTES, you will see to the right of NOTES, Def Mid Ruc Fwd. Just click on the position you want to view and it should open it for you.

Are any of T Adams, Vince, Mills or Tuohy top 6 defenders?

    James · 13/03/2017 at 13:31

I think Tuohy and Adams are a chance. I dont see the others top 6. Maybe pushing for top 10

      FearTheBeard · 13/03/2017 at 13:57

I had Tuohy all pre season though just upgraded him to Doch.

Not confident in his scores. If he pulls the 70-80 in the real deal its not making us money and not enough for the top ds.

Have Adams and his price is the same as Lairds so easy change if needed.

        Kev · 14/03/2017 at 11:09

He had two scores over 125 and a 76…

      midzed · 13/03/2017 at 19:16

Tuohy was a good player in a avg side. In a better outfit his projection will escalate. Carlton supporter and realist.

        Tibor · 14/03/2017 at 10:18

You would have to be a very loyal and optimistic Carlton supporter to rate them as average.

Was going to switch Selwood to a SYD mid as I have none but think Selwood has to be picked.

Hi All,

Thoughts on below team… Version 12,863.

Docherty, Shaw, Adams, Z.Jones,Hampton, Otten ( Stewart, Guthrie)
Danger, Pendles, Josh Kennedy,Fyfe, Josh Kelly,Beams,JOM,SPP (Wigg,Hibberd,Lloyd)
Gawn,Sandi (Cameron)
Dahlhaus,Nanky,Steele,Hrovat,Taranto,Eddy (Pickett, Houston)

    Big Daz · 13/03/2017 at 16:28

    Best team I have seen.

      lol trash.

    Oliver · 13/03/2017 at 17:06

Forward Line looking a little thin, and personally I don't like Hrovat.

James · 13/03/2017 at 13:34

selwood

James · 13/03/2017 at 13:51

I don't want two hawks mids in my team who to get out of t mitch or JOM? and cash isn't a problem

    BrownlowBoy · 13/03/2017 at 13:52

    Titch

    DeAndre · 13/03/2017 at 14:52

No one asked for your opinion you dog

      Hazey · 13/03/2017 at 21:35

      Im getting the sarcasm here and it's timely as I was wondering about;

      Danger, Selwood
      Pendles, Treloar
      Rocky, Beams
      Torch, JOM

      Bench: JPK, Hanners

        Zee888 · 14/03/2017 at 11:07

        Thats a beautiful midfield Hazey

Redgumwon · 13/03/2017 at 13:55

Would love some feed back on my side guys

Shaw, Laird, Vince, Marchbank, Hampton, Stewart, EVW, Otten
Dangerfield, JPK, J. Selwood, Treloar, Fyfe, Beams, JOM, SPP, Barett, Miles, Hibberd
Gawn, Sandi, Stmadica
N Riewoldt, Dahl, Higgins, Taranto, Black, J Pickett, Parfitt, Eddy

    Big Daz · 13/03/2017 at 14:42

Vince and Higgins are risks. Black = No.

      Redgumwon · 13/03/2017 at 18:23

Was thinking Vince might be a risk and was thinking about Lloyd from Sydney maybe? I'm ok going with the Higgins risk as I think he'll have a good year and be a top 6 forward this year. He'll get more midfield time at North with the old boys out now

    Rivo · 13/03/2017 at 15:14

Solid team. Think you need Fwd cover for Sandi. Given the risk profile in the mids, consider Higgins & Black to Nank & another rookie like Butler or Houston?

      Redgumwon · 13/03/2017 at 18:26

Thanks RIvo I had thought long and hard about cover for Sandi but cash wise I think I'm done. Only got $13k left and If I trade Vince for Lloyd I'll only have around $50k. Boyd isn't really for me at this stage. Fingers crossed Sandi stays fit and I don't have to trade until the byes

The BONT · 13/03/2017 at 14:04

Gawn and Guthrie
or
Grundy and Marchbank

    Dac Zawson · 13/03/2017 at 14:10

Grundy/Marchbank because Guthrie i doubt will play seniors very much

      INPieman · 13/03/2017 at 14:23

Guthrie hyper extended his knee in JLT 2. Not sure how long he's going to miss

        dtrain · 15/03/2017 at 14:10

        Wrong brother

The BONT · 13/03/2017 at 14:37

Who do i get rid of for McCarthy

Black, Butler, Houston, Eddy

    TigerMan · 13/03/2017 at 14:43

Any of those three besides eddy. Personally I would go black as I don't see him in Geelongs best 22

Juzzy · 13/03/2017 at 14:49

Is anyone considering Hickey as a viable option ?

As a Saints fan I may be biased but he was on my radar well before his BOG last night. Regarding the conversations about "lone wolf" ruckmen I can't envision a Saints lineup with both Hickey and Longer in it. Bruce, McCartin, and Membery, Roo on a wing, coupled with the all the mids and running types competing for selection may see Billy as the best Ruck in the VFL this year.

A non SC related aside … Longer may be the most important player on the Saints list. When one of Sandilands huge legs drops off during the year we can use Longer and some of our juicy draft picks to get "FYFE".

One can dream …..

    jezza · 13/03/2017 at 19:37

He's a very up and down option, Juzzy. If you look at his stats from last year, if he cracked the ton one week then he struggled to back that up the week after. I reckon there are better options personally.

      Juzzy · 13/03/2017 at 20:00

      Thanks Jezza. Appreciate the feedback.

    Leeds17 · 14/03/2017 at 06:07

Was in my rucks pre-JLT but those first 2 games have me too worried,

Shake n bake · 13/03/2017 at 14:52

Coniglio out for 6…Taranto?

    Juzzy · 13/03/2017 at 15:13

With the lack of rookies , and this now, Taranto is almost lock(ish).
He is currently in my team but I am still concerned that the GWS seconds have 132 first round draft picks in it.
It's kinda funny … this is the team we relied on only a few years back for solid, game time, cash generating rookies.
Now I don't trust this young gun to string 3 games together without being dropped …

Sam · 13/03/2017 at 14:58

Hey guys,

Bit late to the party this year. Let me know if any feedback!

Def: Docherty, Shaw, Adams, Laird, Hampton, Vickers-Willis (Ryan, Stewart)

Mid: Dangerfield, Pendlebury, Gray, Fyfe, Beams, O'Meara, Swallow, Brodie (Powell-Pepper, Barrett, Hibberd)

Ruc: Gawn, Sandilands (Strnadica)

Fwd: Dahlhaus, Macrae, Roughead, McCarthy, Black, Pickett (Smith, Eddy)

Cheers!

    jezza · 13/03/2017 at 19:44

That's a pretty risky midfield. Fyfe, Beams, O'Meara and Swallow didn't really play at all last year and Robbie Gray has hardly played any JLT game time. Your other lines are good, but I would maybe suggest trading out a defence premium to perhaps Caleb Marchbank and using the extra cash to upgrade a Beams/O'Meara to a less risky selection.

Frankie · 13/03/2017 at 15:06

Simpson or Laird very confused weather who to pick

    Marco_Polo94 · 13/03/2017 at 15:56

Both will finish top 6 defenders (in my opinion) so your selection will either come down to personal preference or bye structures.

Seb · 13/03/2017 at 15:08

Taranto and laird
Or
Selwood and McInnes

    jezza · 13/03/2017 at 19:44

    Taranto and Laird

    Carl · 14/03/2017 at 03:53

McKinnes I had in my team until he didn't play the latter half of the JLT. I think a good option when he comes in when you look at his scoring

Jimmy · 13/03/2017 at 15:15

Luke Parker or JPK??

    BrownlowBoy · 13/03/2017 at 15:40

Lads, any suggestions on this latest version:

D: Shaw, Laird, z.jones, Hampton, often, v-w (Melican, t.srewart)

M: danger, hanners, Selwood, treloar, Fyfe, titch, beams, P-P (Barrett, wigg, hibberd).

R: Martin, Sandi (preuss).

F: Dahl, McCrae, Higgins, roughy, H-E, eddy (begley, miles).

10k left.

    Big Daz · 13/03/2017 at 16:30

Doc Martin is a risk. Not sure of Higgins, either.

    Holty · 13/03/2017 at 16:34

Love the z jones pick in the backline. Everyone talking about Heeney and Mills getting the midfield time when titch left but i think jones is the man who has that spot.
    Solid team Doc.

Thoughts on my team fellas?

I cant bring myself to have rough at f3 but that will be the only way i can get marchbank and taranto

D: Shaw, Adams, Laird, Marchbank, Hampton, EVW (Stewart, Guthrie)

M: Danger, Pendles, JPK, Tmitch, Fyfe, Beams, Swallow, SPP (Miles, Wigg, Parafit)

R: Grundy, Sandi (standica)

F: Dahl, Buddy, Rough, Nank, Taranto, Pickett (Eddy, Houston)

    John · 13/03/2017 at 16:52

Nank down to turner /schoenmakers/hoskin elliot then rough to macrae

    hedski · 13/03/2017 at 16:31

Yep, is less selected than the other two and will come out hard.
Bit worried about limited pre season but looks good.

      Derek · 13/03/2017 at 16:39

      higher injury risk

    @t_woof · 13/03/2017 at 18:48

Reasons outlined above, in other comments. Plus also believe he's open to more improvement than the other two.

You'll be kicking yourself for not picking the other two come finals time

      @t_woof · 13/03/2017 at 23:16

May have one of them in by then. If i even make finals.

Seb · 13/03/2017 at 16:03

Wouldlove your thoughts on my team, I've been changing it up for a while now and I think I'm getting closer to the final product.

DEF: Simpson, Shaw, marrchank, Hampton, McInnes, otten ( EVW, Stewart)

MID: danger, hanners, Selwood, treloar, Fyfe, titch, beams, SPP ( Barrett, hibberd, parfitt)

RUC: nank, sandi ( preuss)

FWD: rooey, Dahl, franklin, roughy, McCarthy, Pickett( Eddy, Cameron)

I have 10k in the bank

I am not sure about McInnes and his job security so if you have any better picks I would love to hear them.
Also I have gone a bit less expensive down back because I am really struggling to find mid rookies that can play on field so instead of laird I made him Selwood and then put McInnes instead of Taranto because I'm worried about Taranto job security. But wuthciniglio out he could be a better option.
With nankilands I am going to see if Gawn lines up as a lone ruckman when teams come out and is so I will make Selwood into Gawn and nank into JOM.

would love your thoughts

    Big Daz · 13/03/2017 at 16:33

If you are looking for 1,800 per round, you have nailed it. Backine a risk , Centre is ok, Ruck is very average and Forward is good.

hahahha big daz what did u average last year a round

    Tibor · 14/03/2017 at 10:23

Sounds about right Seb. Other Max option could be Stef Martin but only if Brisbane pick McStay and not Archie Smith. Max with Spencer in the way is better than Stef with Archie in the Way imo

      Seb · 14/03/2017 at 10:35

Yep I agree, are u saying that what big daz was right or my team sounds about right?

    Kev · 14/03/2017 at 11:26

    Tibor · 14/03/2017 at 10:27

Z Jones is a great little player but he will be used in a very defensive role once the season proper starts and this will drop the arse out of his SuperCoach score. Hunt is far more point friendly but opposition may end up putting a bit of work into his free running…

I have a quick question ..
After thursday nights game do we still have unlimited trades and start with 30 round 2 or do we start with 30 then

    @t_woof · 13/03/2017 at 18:50

Yes. Unlimited trades until the last game of Round 1 starts.

    Big fact hunt · 13/03/2017 at 19:15

Na unlimited until end of round 1and then we start

Josh R · 13/03/2017 at 16:29

Hey community, is there anything wrong with having 7 premos in the mid? I am able to this as i am starting nank and ryder in the ruck as of now.

    Derek · 13/03/2017 at 16:31

depends who the 7 are? i have run that idea a few times

      Josh R · 13/03/2017 at 16:33

Danger, Selwood, Parker, Priddis, Titch, Treloar and Fyfe? All i believe can finish top 8-10 mids

        Derek · 13/03/2017 at 17:12

all quality. so where will you be missing, Defence or attack?

          Josh R · 13/03/2017 at 17:29

I have 3 premos and 3 rookies in defence and forward (Marchbank and Taranto) at d4 and F4

            MarkV · 13/03/2017 at 19:22

I'm contemplating the same setup. Similar midfield personnel also, Marchbank also my d4, WHE and Taranto F4/5. I'm seriously not sold on the job security and scoring abilities of ANY forward or defense rookies. Thinking we just need to limit the damage made by onfield rookies scoring us 30's.

            wombatsfc · 13/03/2017 at 20:44

The mids you've named add up to about 4.3mil, then 3 prem def + Marchbank is at least 1.7mil, 3 premo fwd +Taranto at least 1.7mil
That means for the remaining 15 players you have an ave spend of around 135K ea to cover 4 defenders (2 onfield) 4 mids (1 onfield), 3 Rucks and 4 fwds (2 onfield).
            I think ya dreaming

              MarkyV12 · 13/03/2017 at 22:06

Personally, my defence and forward lines are 2-1-5, Roughhead and Lloyd as my midprice. Picking them not as midpriced cash cows but as keepers who hopefully average around the 95 mark each. I don't think 7 premium midfield is possible without a slight sprinkling of midpriced/fallen players.

Need some help, I feel a little lost with the ruck situation and also the forward line. Thoughts appreciated community.

DEF: Simpson, Laird, Tuohy, Marchbank, Hampton, Stewart (EVW, Otten)
MID: Danger, JPK, Priddis, Bont, Fyfe, T.Mitchell, SPP, Barrett (Hibberd, Pickett, Wigg)
RUCK: Nankilands (Strnadica)
FWD: N.Riewoldt, Dalhaus, Macrae, Rough, McCarthy,Eddy (Black, Turner)

Rookies are not set obviously. About 60k left.

Thanks

Was hoping i could get some thoughts from the community?

129.7k in bank
Def. Shaw, adams, laird, hampton, VW, stewart, (otten, guthrie)

Mid. Danger, zorko, fyfe, titch, beams, omearer, taranto, powell-pepper (barrett, m.hibberd, wigg)

Ruc. Grundy, sandi (strnadica)

Fwd. Dahl, macrae, t.lynch, greene, roughead, black (miles, eddy)

My first thought is Miles to Shoenmakers?

    @t_woof · 13/03/2017 at 18:54

I don't think Miles will play round 1. I'd swap him for Pickett. Pickett will play and has DPP.

Use the extra cash in your bank to upgrade Zorko to an ultra premium. Can use this as the VC option behind Dangerfield.

well i think thats a bit dramatic, can't all have the same bloke in your teams

        MarkyV12 · 13/03/2017 at 22:11

Need to consider Danger averaged 13ish point more than the next bloke last year(almost 300 points total). He has a huge ceiling and is generally an excellent option as a captain. Only plays 5 friday/thursday night games so if your loopholing you can have a crack with someone else just about every week before relying upon danger.

Mayniac · 13/03/2017 at 17:51

Hey community,

About the only thing that had bit changed in the last few weeks are the Mids.

Trying something different with loophole and moved Strnadica to the fwd bench and have Preuss as R3 – Could change

What do we think?

Adams Laird Mills Marchbank Hampton VW (Otten, Stewart)

Danger Hanners Treloar Priddis Fyfe Beams JOM SPP (Pickett Miles Hibberd)

Nank Sandi (Preuss)

Roo Dahl Feanklin Roughie Taranto Black (Strnadica Eddy)

    Keenbutclueless · 13/03/2017 at 19:39

You are better off having Miles on the forward bench and running Deluca-Cardillo at M11. Means you have 2 choices at forward cover – not just Eddy. You still have 2 mids as cover.

deelight12 · 13/03/2017 at 18:07

Anyone think either J. Ramsay and J.Thurlow could be worth a go? Or would Marchbank be a safer option?

Also, Bont or T Mitch?

    Vineet · 13/03/2017 at 18:31

More upside to Tmitch I would think. But you wont go wrong either way!

    Derek · 13/03/2017 at 22:08

If you think he will be top 8 forward, he is the Best Buy of the season.

If you are picking him to make cash, you should do ok, not as good as a bargin price rookie, but they are few.

Hawks have a great first half of the season.

New captain and looking fairly fit. Will only get better.

Hawks have other tall options, will allow Roughie to play as a big crash bash midfielder, increases his ceiling, plus will kick a few goals.

    MarkyV12 · 13/03/2017 at 22:17

360k for a bloke who has previously averaged 90,95,98103,101 before missing all of last year. not enough?

      this is convincing

      Burnmen · 14/03/2017 at 21:08

Can you tell us why people shouldn't have him?

      Blueth · 14/03/2017 at 19:03

i suppose i haven't been watching him in the pre season, but his severe illness over the last year is a bit of a red flag. Without that it's pretty tough coming into a new AFL season after a year off. You can see that in the bomber players, some pretty rusty footy. I'd be waiting for him to hit some form mid-season

        Burnmen · 14/03/2017 at 21:07

Roughead is better than all those bomber players.

    BlakeyP · 13/03/2017 at 20:54

Can't sort. Merged cells not the same size.

    Lazza · 14/03/2017 at 16:34

If you don't want the individual JLT scores – do this:
Sort on 'Player' only ( A to Z).
Then delete all the rows that have the 'Player' column as blanks.
And you will then be able to sort at will.

    Good luck John

    @t_woof · 13/03/2017 at 23:50

    Hey John.

My thoughts for what they're worth.

    DEF
Boyd and Hodge. Both will score quite well when they play, but being older they are most certain to miss games throughout the year at some point. Hodge is already out for round one due to disciplinary reasons. Being a Hawks fan, i've had Hodge in and out of my team all pre season. But after the news that he'll miss round one, the decision was easy to pass on him. Boyd, has played 20, 18, 19 and 13 games the past four seasons. I believe there are better options at his price range, too much to pay for them to be sitting on your bench when they are out/rested. A good alternative to Boyd could be Shaw, Laird or Rance. Another around the same price as Hodge is Jake Lloyd for Sydney. Have a good look at him, finished off 2016 very well.

    MID
Interesting midfield. Quite a few PODs. Perhaps a couple too many. I'd look at perhaps sticking with those first 3 in Dangerfield, Merrett and Shuey and perhaps look at replacing Cotchin and Menegola with Fyfe and Beams. For similar cash they'll provide much better output. Also i believe Fyfe could give you an extra captaincy option.
I'm not sure how McCluggage is travelling for round one, so i'd keep an eye on that.

    RUCK
Mumford does have a history of injuries, so cover is critical. I see you have Longer. Perhaps a safer option could be Witts at 217K, saves you 43K and you could argue his job security is stronger than Longer's.

    FWD
Pretty sure Heeney is out for round one (hasn't been on my radar), i'd upgrade him to a premium. De Goey is a risky selection, but i'm sure you have your reasons for the selection. Schoenmakers is probably bench material at best. I'd bench him and look to start Eddy.

Hope i haven't picked apart your team too much John, and you can take some of that info/advice to bolster your team and hit your goal of finishing in the Top 50% or better in 2017. All the best for the 2017 season!

DEF: Docherty, Shaw, Laird, Tuohy, Hampton, Vickers – (Guthrie, Watson)
MID: Danger, J. Selwood, Treloar, Bont, Fyfe, Beams, O' meara, SPP – (Jarman, Grewar, Fox)

      Yep.
Love to leave them both out for a 120k fwd with absolute job security …. Can't seem to spot one. Can you ?

        Swans2012 · 14/03/2017 at 07:36

Not so much of a problem finding one, but one that'll score well enough to put on field. The thought of Pickett on field makes me want to vomit….I might end up with Steele and roughy, but roughy is firmly the one on the chopping block.

          Derek · 14/03/2017 at 08:34

My heart keeps putting him in my team. But then I'm having to scratch around for the bargain rookies.

I probably won't go with Roughie. I can see him scoring a few 80's meaning we can get him later for not much more.

Your team rocks Bont! Very hard to fault. Might take Juzzy's advice for my own team.

Juzzy · 13/03/2017 at 22:15

For the first time I can remember I think there is a real chance of SC teams copping doughnuts in the first month of the season.
This thing actually may be won by a crazy mid-priced team with everyone scoring decently and picking off rookies as they present.
Don't worry Derek. Can't do it … still have Danger, Gawn, Doc, Roo etc..etc…

    Derek · 14/03/2017 at 08:29

I don't mind mid pricer, as long as they are fallen premium, injury free.

    Otherwise pay the price!

      Off The Bench · 14/03/2017 at 09:19

The lack of rookies really has pushed teams down this path, and the rule book seems to have been forgotten. Will the rules be re-written in this perfect storm scenario, or is this the biggest trap of all time?

        Kev · 14/03/2017 at 11:19

Reading some comments here I reckon coaches are starting to get desperate, OtB. Midpricers are not suddenly going to all break out

TRIGGER HAPPY · 13/03/2017 at 22:32

Is Marchbank worth forking out the coin?
Dear but probably guaranteed to play every week

To bring him in I've either got to:

Doc down to touey or mills or
grundy down to ryder or nank or
Caddy down to nank/steele??

    Juzzy · 13/03/2017 at 22:46

I think he is a valid selection. St.Kilda (sorry for mentioning the saints Wombat) moved heaven and earth to get him in the off season.
With Weitering being groomed as a forward I think he will be one of the first selected every week.

    Doc = keeper
    Grundy = keeper
Unless you think Caddy is a keeper option 3 all the way.

      MarkyV12 · 13/03/2017 at 23:19

Definitely keep Docherty, bar injury he's a lock for top 3 defender IMO. Caddy and Grundy both need to increase their averages from last year by a fair few points to become keepers. It's probably easier to see caddy becoming a top 8 forward then grundy a top 2 ruck.

      wombatsfc · 14/03/2017 at 16:58

      #@%ing St Kilda
Caddy should've gone to the saints, he would've been their tough man.

    Derek · 14/03/2017 at 09:04

This is what JLT does. A guy has a good game and he is Flavour of the week. All it tells me is there is another Carlton defender able to take points off Simmo and Docherty

      TRIGGER HAPPY · 14/03/2017 at 09:24

      yep

just looking at my def and 3 rooks on ground

    Kev · 14/03/2017 at 11:14

Agree with Derek on this one. Your plan is to downgrade a premium lock for a guy who will give you 70-80 scores? Give Marchbank a miss, he won't hurt you by not having him

G'day community. Taking a few mid priced risks. Hickey is possibly gonna come out for Martin or Grundy. Let me know what you think

Shaw, Adams, Laird, Marchbank, Hampton, Otten (VW, Stewart)

JPK, J Selwood, Treloar, Fyfe, Mitchell, Oliver, JOM, SPP (Hibberd, Miles, Atley) Treloar could become C .Ward as a POD

Hickey, Sandi (Strndica)

Riewoldt, Dahlhaus, Macrae, Steele, Turner, Pickett (Parfitt, Eddy)

Not completely locked away, particularly forwards. Cheers.

Derek · 14/03/2017 at 08:40

R Knight? Did anyone see him do anything over the JLT. I watched him play and I hope he was just going at half Rat-power.
Anyone thinking he might have a SC relevant role this year?

    BlakeyP · 14/03/2017 at 11:57

I was hoping to see more from him but only 1 JLT game with an average out is not mich to go off. Places are goin to be tight at the crows this year. Hampton will come in then it fight between menzel, Melira, Knight and a few others for the outside roles.

is there such a thing as a "Fallen Mid-Pricer".

Guys like Otten, Hampton, Thomas, White, Witts, Hos-Elliott, Knight, Turner, Marchbank, Shoenmakers, Myers, Black

priced at around $200k or less but were once genuine regular mid-price players.

Competing against the expensive rookies for a place in our teams.

Job security is usually better and that is looking like a problem with the Rookies this year.

I'm still hoping there will be a sprinkling of cheap rookies, at least for our bench. But these Fallen Mid-pricers might be a good option for F4/F5, M8, D4/D5.

What is their success rate in past seasons?

    INPieman · 14/03/2017 at 16:03

None of those guys are keepers but value is value in a season where starting rookies are poor for either scoring potential or JS. All the guys you mentioned could potentially double their price.

    PJ8 · 14/03/2017 at 16:05

I believe in such thing Derek, i have been looking at this quite a lot with the current lack of rookies.
Can only go on previous experience in choosing these. In my experience the ones that have changed clubs and have a fresh slate generally perform better, also ones that were rated highly as juniors, therefore drafted early have better potential and generally perform better as well.

Looking at this season there are 3 so called 'fallen mid-pricers' that fit into both of these categories.

Marchbank – GWS>CARL, originally pick 6 in draft
    Hoskin-Elliot – GWS>COLL, originally pick 4 in draft
Hampton – GWS>ADEL, originally pre-draft NT zone selection.

A couple off the top of head from past seasons
    Docherty
    T. Adams
Both moved clubs after being average or not breaking into teams, both were top 15 and had potential.

Can any of these 3 take the same step and become even better than a mid-pricer?

      Derek · 14/03/2017 at 16:54

Yeah, everyone loves the Fallen Premium, but i think there is such a thing as a Fallen Mid-pricer.

I like the idea you mentioned about guys that have moved clubs, especially from a strong club to a weaker one and therefore will get more games time.

i agree with Pieman, they won't be keepers and i prefer the cheap rookies for cash generating, but if they are not avaliable, these blokes are the next best.

i was poo pooing Marchbank, i might have to re-consider

        Shake n bake · 14/03/2017 at 17:24

I skimmed in my ruck Derek thinking that's hopefully one area l might get away with early. But l tell ya my def mids and fwds look better for it. McCartin McCarthy WHE Taranto Marchbank McKenzie Swallow just to name a few.

Steeeve · 14/03/2017 at 10:04

Taranto looking like a very solid option. I can only afford him if I downgrade someone else. Would you rather downgrade:
Cripps to Jaeger/Swallow
Or
M Crouch to Danger/Swallow
Or
Macrae to Ryder

    Derek · 14/03/2017 at 10:07

Hey Steeevvveee, don't fall into the trap of getting players (especially premium) "who you can afford".

Stick with your premiums and lock them in. Otherwise you will be using trades later in the year to get them in your team.

      Steeeve · 14/03/2017 at 12:02

Thanks mate and I agree. Not overly sold on M Crouch although it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he averaged 105+ to the byes.
Don't love the Macrae pick either but Ryder seems a huge risk.

My main issue is needing to ensure my low pricers are actually on the park! I'll happily drop Crouch for a Jaeger/Swallow if it means my rookies are definitely playing.

    hedski · 14/03/2017 at 15:35

Down grading Crouch to Danger is pants stretching Steeeve!!

Steve · 14/03/2017 at 10:07

Any thoughts on my team lads?

B: Adams, Laird, Lloyd, Marchbank, Hampton, EVW (Newman, Otten)
M: Danger, Pendles, Hanners, Selwood, Fyfe, Beams, JOM, SPP (Barrett, Miles, Parfitt)
R: Gawn, Sandi (Strnadica)
F: Dahl, MacRae, Nank, WHE, Taranto, Cameron (Pickett, Eddy)

$84k left.

Up until this weekend I had Swallow at M8, but having another look at Beams this weekend has swayed me. I dont think you can start with all 3 so I think JOM and Beams could be the way to go, assuming Beams will be a keeper.

But then again who bloody knows community because Im sure like all of you my team will probably have a completely different look by tomorrow!

    @t_woof · 14/03/2017 at 13:33

    Hey Steve,

Like your structure. I have identical structure DEF and MID, and similar in RUCK and FWD. Have Stef Martin at R1 and F3 Tom Lynch.

Wise move with Beams. Greater chance of becoming a keeper than Swallow.

Like the Lloyd selection at D3. Not sure Miles plays round 1, i'd swap him for Hibberd. Give you the DEF/MID link with Lloyd, and you still have the MID/FWD link with Parfitt. Food for thought.

DEF: Shaw, Adams, Laird, Marchbank, Hampton, EVW (Otten/Ryan)
MID: Danger, Pendles, JPK, Fyfe, Dalhaus, DBeams, JOM, Pepper (Barret/Miles/Parfitt)

FWD: Franklin, Roughy, Nank, Steele, Taranto, Pickett (Smith/Eddy)

Thanks

    Kev · 14/03/2017 at 11:04

Ryan will probably need adjusting. Lyon hasn't played him for the preseason.

Your forward line looks thin so I wouldn't bother him Dahl in the mids. You've already got swingsets in place with your rookie bench. Shift him forward in place of Rough, Nank, or Steele

      Ivan · 14/03/2017 at 11:16

thanks mate – have no clue when it comes to rookies this year other than what i've read briefly

Top Hawk · 14/03/2017 at 10:36

Not a bad side Lahuge. I do have some feedback which might sharpen up your team further. The following rookies are highly unlikely to start round 1, Z Guthrie, Harrison Wigg, and it is likely that only 1 of Ed Vickers Willis and Mitchell Hibberd will be picked for North Melbourne. Some rookies you could look at as replacements are Andy Otten, Jake Barrett, and possibly Dan Houston.

Personally, I think you have spent to much coin on your rucks. As you are running with a premo ruckman at R1, I think having Nankervis at F4 IMO probably not necessary. If Sandi gets injured, then you are better off using a trade or two to correct. All that tied up cash in your ruck stocks could be used to strenthen your forward line or midfield further. Another forward premo sych as Josh Kennedy (WCE) or Tom Lynch (GCS) could really boost your point scoring power on that line. Lastly, seriously consider Tom Mitchell in your midfield. He will spend most of his time in the guts at Hawthorn this year. Hope it helps! Cheers

    Wellsey · 14/03/2017 at 11:49

lahuge, I like the Priddis pick mate, if you swap him out for TMitch, you'll have the same team as everyone else – I went for Callan Ward in the guts – you gotta have a bit of variety and Priddus has the capacity to finish Top 10 mid, so back yourself in. I actually don't think TMitch will finish Top 10 this year – too much support at Sydney (Kennedy, Parker, Hanners etc.). He's going to be doing all the heavy lifting at Hawthorn, I don't think that'll impact his scoting in a positive way.

But then again, you know what they say about opinions and sphincters.

      Derek · 14/03/2017 at 12:22

i'm not as excited about pridis as i was earlier. No decent Ruckman at WCE will hurt them. SMitch is not their saviour.

Righto community – here's one for you: Matthew Kennedy – GWS. He's a $235k forward, 2015 first round draft pick, played three games last year. His JLT numbers are the best of any other forward rookie who played all 3 games: 18.7 disposals, 3.3 tackles, 3 clearances, trouser-stretching 79.7 SC average.

Say me this: with competition for spots at GWS is he any chance of significant game time? If so, will that reduce Taranto's opportunities? Also worth mentioning are Will Hoskin-Elliot, Cam McCarthy, Kane Turner: all played 3 JLT games and averaged OK numbers. Brett Eddy a lock due to price and potential to kick a few.

    beastmode mathieson · 14/03/2017 at 11:51

    why dont you have me

FearTheBeard · 14/03/2017 at 11:51

Thoughts guys :

Pendles & Franklin

Parker/Tichell/Priddis/Bont & Riewolt

What you guys think?

Had Pendles all pre season though the fact hes being held back and possibly carrying a bit of an injury is making me think maybe Parker & Riewolt?

    Steeeve · 14/03/2017 at 12:47

I don't like the sound of achilles niggles one bit. Even ultra consistent premos like Pendles will drop in value. I'd wait and assess him down the track matey.

Dark Horse · 14/03/2017 at 11:51

You are Cassidy Parish, Darcy Parish from Essendons brother…, JJ good pod, midfield is too auto gen, not too sure with Nankervis as R1, not too sure about Roo and Franklin as they are too inconsistant, also get rid of Steele

    Cassidy · 14/03/2017 at 11:55

not sure how my midfield is auto gen pls explain, and steele has a jaw dropping jlt series and will carry that over in the regular season

    Burnmen · 14/03/2017 at 21:15

    Reiwoldt inconsistent? ffs

Dizzle · 14/03/2017 at 11:54

What is everyones thoughts on my team that i have seemed to change 100000 times already.

DEF: Shaw, Adams, Vince, Bonner, Marchbank, Hampton (Otten, Stewart)
MID: Dangerfield, Ward, Fyfe, Beams, O'Meara, Horlin-Smith, McGrath, Taranto (Smedts, Florent, Powell-Pepper)
RUC: Gawn, Sandilands (Witts)
FWD: Dahlhaus, Franklin, Caddy, Hrovat, Hoskin-elliot, McCarthy (Schoenmakers, Eddy)

Lots of premiums, but also lots of risky rookies

    Dark Horse · 14/03/2017 at 12:02

Mark robinson called… he wants his team back!
    – vince and Bonner trash
    – no point having witts on bench
    -schoenmakers is trash

      Dizzle · 14/03/2017 at 12:14

bonner has scored well over (and played) all the 3 jlt matches. agree on vince a bit, went for him because of dual pos. schoenmakers would be get solid game time (risky on the score but price is really low) yeah went with witts and was hopefully going to cash out when he hopefully becomes a better consistant scorer.

        Derek · 14/03/2017 at 12:26

Shoenmakers will be a slow burn, but very likely to play plenty of games. All you need is one good game out of him….. not sure if that will happen

          Dizzle · 14/03/2017 at 13:06

could not agree more, has shown ability in the past, just hoping that he can pull together a couple of good games and could be real roughy (pun not intended)

Jackston Steven · 14/03/2017 at 12:15

Thoughts on christian petracca?

    the bont · 14/03/2017 at 13:11

had him but his last game was below par

      Gawny · 14/03/2017 at 13:59

very wise words of wisdom bonts he'll have a shitter this year like melbourne will

        neil Demons Delight · 14/03/2017 at 17:37

if you must use gawnys name talk sense

    dnoyes · 14/03/2017 at 15:27

From what I have heard Petracca has still been training as a forward this preseason. I don't see him having a breakout year in supercoach without moving to the midfield. He will probably increase his average but be a bit inconsistent and not be worth the fact that he is a midpricer. Personally I prefer Touk Miller, Jack Billings, Brad Hill, Angus Brayshaw, or Jack Steele.

Doc · 14/03/2017 at 12:16

Z.jones and Treloar
Or
Premo defender (ideas please Adams, doc or someone else) and o'meara.

At the moment only running with 2 premier defenders (Shaw/laird) and midfield has (danger, hammers, jelwood, Fyfe, titch, beams, P-P).

    @t_woof · 14/03/2017 at 13:40

I'd go Premium Defender and JOM.

      PJ8 · 14/03/2017 at 15:48

      Doch and JOM

SSS · 14/03/2017 at 12:20

I've Gawngrundy

Steeeve · 14/03/2017 at 12:44

I'm seeing massive value in T Mitch this season. Will be the top mid at the hawks and managed to rack them up even in a loaded Sydney guts. Hard to look past at his price, could easily average uber premo numbers.

    Derek · 14/03/2017 at 13:12

OlOcker is very big on TMitch. Anything he has researched i know will be spot on

TheGreatBozza · 14/03/2017 at 12:47

After resisting the urge to place in the likes of Steele, Thurlow, Mills, Lloyd, Josh Smith (I'm a big Collingwood fan and see him averaging 80+, just not top 10 status and awkward price), I've nearly reached a team I'm satisfied with. I would like some thoughts from the community:

DEF: Shaw, Laird, Adams, Hampton, Otten, Stewart (EVW, Newman)
MID: Dangerfield, JPK, Treloar, Bont, Fyfe, Beams, JOM, SPP (Barrett, Parfitt, Deluca-Cardillo)
R: Grundy, Sandi (Strndica)
FWD: Roo, Dahl, Greene/Buddy (cant pick ATM), Roughy, Houston, Eddy (Pickett, Cameron)
$65,000 spare

I'm happy with my DEF and RUCKS, but have some changes to the FWD & MIDS I'd like to run by the community:

1. Swap Greene/Buddy to Nank, $190,000 spare for what could be a 10-20 point different output. I could also use the extra funds to go a Pickett to Taranto for a better on field rookie
2. Upgrade Beams to Selwood, downgrade Greene to Nank ($16,800 in the bank)
3. Keep same as above

    Derek · 14/03/2017 at 13:11

because you are a Collingwood fan, what are the chances of Scharanberg playing round 1?

      TheGreatBozza · 14/03/2017 at 14:44

I'd say it's slim at the moment. I rate him highly and I expect to see him soon, could make a decent downgrade option. I think the likes of Ramsay, Smith and Maynard will take the small defender spots for now

    @t_woof · 14/03/2017 at 13:45

I'd keep it as is for now Bozza. Good looking team.

Maybe the bye can decide your decision between Tobes and Buddy?

      TheGreatBozza · 14/03/2017 at 14:46

Thanks mate. I always get an itchy trade finger reading through these comments. I reckon Tobias and Buddy will both be pushing top 6 FWDs

Finnius123 · 14/03/2017 at 13:48

Docherty, Shaw, Laird, Marchbank, Hampton, Melican (Otten, Stewart)

Dangerfield, JPK, Jelwood, Priddis, Fyfe, Beams, JOM, SPP (Pickett, Hibberd, Parfitt)

Grundy, Sandilands (Strnadica)

Riewoldt, Dahlhaus, Roughead, Hoskie-Elliot, Taranto, Florent (Miles, Eddy)

    Burnmen · 14/03/2017 at 21:20

    Not sure about Pelican.

James Sykes · 14/03/2017 at 13:51

Hi Guys..

critical supercoach question…

which combination will score the most points? (i'm trying to look at this holistically)…….

Sam Docherty/Toby Nankervis/Toby Greene OR Johannisen/Maxy Gawn/Jack Steele

Getting Gawn in is safer but to do it I lose a premium from both the backline and forward line….

I'm leaning towards the no gawn option.

Cheers lads.

    PJ8 · 14/03/2017 at 15:47

Tough question… which will score more points?
    IMO
Doch over JJ but Gawn over Nank by similar amount, (both 15-20 points better). Then i can see Greene and Steele possibly scoring the same, both somewhere between 85-95 pts per game.
So i think the question you should ask is which combo makes your whole team structure better???

    Phil · 14/03/2017 at 15:57

I like the second group better, provided I can swap JJ for Laird at a similar price…..or even Adams

    Derek · 14/03/2017 at 17:13

are they the same starting $ value?

FearTheBeard · 14/03/2017 at 14:15

Need one more premium lads :

JPK, Parker, Hanners, TMitchell, Priddis, Bont… Can't bloody decide???????????

    hedski · 14/03/2017 at 14:22

    Any of the swans

    TheGreatBozza · 14/03/2017 at 14:47

    Treloar? Selwood?

    Steeeve · 14/03/2017 at 14:53

    Danger!!!

    @t_woof · 14/03/2017 at 16:26

    All valid selections.

Go with the one that fits your bye structure best.

    Derek · 14/03/2017 at 17:12

i think there are 7 mids that are clear cut best 7. JPK and Hanners are in that group.

the next bracket there are 10.

At the end of the day, numbers 7-17 will average 5pts different! over the season it won't win or lose too many games or change your rank much, unless they don't play.

so look for things like Bye rounds, INJURY RISK, team's draw, injury risk, age, starting price, suspension risk, risk of injuries and make sure who you do go with plays 22 games.

OlOcker loves TMitch, that is good enough for me.

Nick Fucking Duigan · 14/03/2017 at 14:15

Hi all, thoughts on Version 1.0?

Doc, Adams, Tuohy, M Hibberd, Marchbank, Hampton (Otten, Hibberd)

Danger, JPK, Fyfe, Cripps, Beams, D Swallow, Pickett, SPP (Barret, Wigg, Bolton)

Gawn, Sandi (Strnadica)

Riewoldt, Dahlhaus, Greene, Rough, Taranto, Parfitt, (Butler, Eddy)

Carrying a bit too much risk maybe in Beams, Swallow and Rough?

Only 20K remaining. Ideally I'd like a little more in case I need to trade rookies up.

hedski · 14/03/2017 at 14:22

Hey Derek, re R.Knight, just read he has an Achilles complaint might not be ready round one.

RUCK: gawn, sandi (strandaica)
FWD: riewoldt, macrae, higgins, roughy, black, taranto (pickett, eddy)

MID: Danger, JPK, Trealor, Fyfe, TMitchell, Beams, O'Meara, Swallow (SPP, Wigg, Barrett)
RUC: Goldstein, Sandi (English)
FWD: Dahlhaus, Greene, Roughead, Steele, Pickett, Eddy (Butler, Parfitt)

7K Left over. Thoughts?

    dnoyes · 14/03/2017 at 15:44

Not sure on English. He might get a few games early while the dogs have ruck injuries, but he is certainly a few years off being properly afl ready. I don't think he will gain enough value for you to trade him out, and there are better options like D Cameron, or even Strnadica for the captaincy loophole. Also a lot of people here are going a bit cold on Swallow. I'm not sure how good he'll be considering his awkward price.

TheGreatBozza · 14/03/2017 at 14:48

Anyone got any openings in their leagues? I'm keen to get involved

FearTheBeard · 14/03/2017 at 14:48

1 of JPK/Selwood/Parker/Hanners & TMitchell

or

Parker & Selwood?

    PJ8 · 14/03/2017 at 15:39

    JPK & MITCHELL

    hedski · 14/03/2017 at 15:45

    Parks and Jelly.

    Derek · 14/03/2017 at 17:08

seriously… even though i don't care much for him…. Selwood.

Big Mammoth Curve year for Selwood. Might be his last fair crack at it.

i would go TMitch ahead of Parker. Parker has plenty of comprtition for points. TMitch has……. ummm

      Burnmen · 14/03/2017 at 21:28

Seriously what a load of crap. Mitchell just left Swans so that leaves less serious competition for points.

Parker's scoring depends on where Parker plays and horse's plans this year, nothing to do with 'competition'

All Sydney's mids have 'competition' yet they all score well.

TMitch is flavour of the month here but he's 575K…….not cheap, it's like he's a must have. Garbage.

Hodge plays mid. Will Langford. JOM who is a contested beast. Burgoyne goes in the mids.

Mitchell will take Mitchell's role. Lewis' role will be filled by somebody else. But it's not like there is going to be nobody else there so Tmitch will just get 40 touches a game.

      Reality check.

        Derek · 14/03/2017 at 21:50

hey burnman, I know you are just trying to talk crap and stir up some trouble.

In case you didn't know, SMitch and Lewis both left the Hawks and somehow I don't think their places will be filled by Hodge and Burgoyne….. or Will Langford lol.

TMitch has the best opportunity of any $550 plus midfielder this year. Easy top 10.

Parker not only has JPK and Hanners to compete against, there is Lloyd, Mills, Heeney, Jack, McVeigh, Cunningham, Jones etc

neil Demons Delight · 14/03/2017 at 15:34

Spent a lot of time getting premos right this year .That's what killed me last year .Just about got it down to pat now.Laird Adams and Simmo speak for themselves as does Gawn Forwards jjk and 2 Dogs happy enough mids danger Fyfe JPK NO PROBLEMS THERE 4TH mid Selwood happy there that leaves M5 Any more than 5 and my structure is out PRIDDIS Is there primarily for the bye TO BE CONSIDERED Mitchells both neale 2 maggies and bont .Dereks comment re wce rucks is driving me from him Both PIes to dear to start sam mitch same problem as priddus Neale coached by LYIN leaves Bont and Tmitch both good value

    Derek · 14/03/2017 at 17:04

      Brandon · 14/03/2017 at 18:33

Out of interest who would you say are clear best 7? I'd go Dangerfield, Fyfe, Pendlebury, JPK, Hannerbery, Selwood and last spots a bit tricky, could be any of Priddis, Treloar or Parker.

        Derek · 14/03/2017 at 18:54

yep. I have the same top 6 and added Treloar at 7.

the rest could be anyone of 15, including Gaz

Dnoyes · 14/03/2017 at 15:39

DEF: Docherty, Shaw, Adams, Martin, Hampton, Stewart, (Vickers-Willis, Guthrie)
MID: Dangerfield, Treloar, Fyfe, T. Mitchell, Heppell, Beams, O'Meara, SPP, (Barrett, Pickett, Hibberd)
RUC: Sandilands, Witts, (Strnadica/Cameron)
FOR: Ryder, Biilings, Roughead, Nankervis, B. Hill, Brayshaw, (Black, Eddy)

23.9k remaining. Rookies are not finalised.
First of all thoughts on the super cheap ruck assembly? I think there is a lot of money to be made with ruckman so I've got in as many as possible. I would have quite liked Gawn but I am scared of him sharing time with Spencer. All my ruckmen are lone ruckmen. I also have a lot of flexibility in case of ruck injuries.

Secondly, thoughts on the lack of premiums? My thought process is that I want to be generating as much money as possible, so I want almost every player in my team to increase in value. I'll then do double trades to turn a midpricer and a rookie into a premium and a new rookie.

Finally what do you guys think about Miller / Billings / Petracca / B. Hill / Brayshaw / Steele? How many are you guys fitting in and which do you think will be the best?

    neil Demons Delight · 14/03/2017 at 16:00

I wont be touching any of the last 6 .the are all at least a year away Why do you need .4 ruckman Your forwards are your weaklink Roughy only one I would have.

      Dnoyes · 14/03/2017 at 16:19

I don't need 4 ruckmen, but I feel like each of them will increase in value fairly noticeably. Considering the lack of rookies guaranteed to get gametime, I would rather have a few extra midpricers compared to premiums + rookies. I'm more confident in the premiums in midfield and defence, so I will upgrade my forwards/rucks when we can see who is going well.

I think this year will be a break out year for both Brayshaw and Billings, while I feel all my other forwards will be getting more gametime than last year.

poloko48 · 14/03/2017 at 15:48

My team as it stands, have swapped Pendles for Treloar due to Pendles' sore achilles, will bring him in later when he drops in price. Have picked Treloar primarily to keep bye structure in place, he'll still be top 10 mid at season's end I'm sure:

DEF: Simpson, Heater, Silk, Hampton, Otten, Newman (Stewart, ZGuthrie)
MID: Danger, JPK, Treloar, Fyfe, Prestia, MCrouch, JOM, SPP (Barrett, Wigg, Allison)
RUC: Nankilands (Strnadica)
FWD: Dahl, Buddy, Macrae, Roughy, Bowes, Pickett (Begley, Eddy)

Have $146K left over for corrections to rookies if need higher draft picks to get games.
Only concern is if Sandy falls over his toe or Nank starts putting up spud scores.

Assuming JOM, Roughy, Nank & Sandy to be keepers (hopefully….) then I will only need to upgrade 6 rookies to be full on field premo.
That's effectively takes say 18 trades + 3-4 corrective + 6 injuries puts me at 2-3 trades left over.

Have I got that right? Perfect world obviously! Love to hear everyone's thoughts, thanks!

    sddd · 14/03/2017 at 15:59

    Nank as a keeper lmao
Roughy, JOM, Sandi and Nank are money makers and hopefully stay fit long enough to become traded to a premo who has depreciated

      poloko48 · 14/03/2017 at 22:05

if Nank averages 90 he's a keeper for me my friend. Every chance to do so.
Your fitness point only really applies to Sandy, the others are as likely to be injured as anyone else.

    Derek · 14/03/2017 at 16:58

JOM, Roughy, Nank & Sandy to be keepers (hopefully….)

is this your first year playing?

      poloko48 · 14/03/2017 at 22:01

nothing wrong with being a little optimistic is there? I was hoping for constructive criticism…I get your point though. I bet there's been players in similar positions in the past that have eventually been keepers – could JOM completely tear it up? It's possible isn't it?

sddd · 14/03/2017 at 15:48

Why does everyone feel like they should go light down back with only 2 or 3 premos??
The only rookie going to average over 60 will be hampton so i dont get it.
Surely 4 premos at least down there as most people are going cheap in the ruck

    INPieman · 14/03/2017 at 16:05

Marchbank Otten & Hampton if they play will exceed 60. Stewart, Hibbo Jnr & EVW who knows

      Derek · 14/03/2017 at 16:56

      you can't have everyone

Phil · 14/03/2017 at 16:14

Jack Steele is a classic make or break move. We all just watched Zac Merrett go ballistic in just his 3rd season so any things possible.
What have we learnt from young talented midfielders that have left GWS? Treloars numbers improved instantly. As did Miles, although he only played 3 games in his last year at GWS. Adams stayed the same, then improved in his 2nd year at Collingwood.
It should be noted although Treloar improved it was his 5th season, plus I don't think Jack is in the same mould as him.
Maybe Adams is the better comparison. Decisions…

I am sure that a few coaches are in the same boat with deciding on our Ruckmen this year.
I"m thinking Gawn and Sandi with Nankervis as F5.
Is it too much to spend on F5 in case of injury or would someone like Cameron at F8 be a better option?
Would love to hear thoughts.

poloko48 · 15/03/2017 at 12:58

Having a bit of fun now, in between jobs so gives me heaps of time to muck around with this.
I've developed a RFP strategy – rookies / fallen premiums.
Only deviation so far from this is having Danger in the side. I think most premos will at least drop slightly in price so would aim to pick these up at their lowest price.
Obvious downside is very slow start and doubtful if able to catch leaders in the long run.
Upside is maximum cash generation so premo upgrades could happen earlier than usual. Plus should have heaps of cash to spare.
Aim is to have every rookie named + ones I think may get a run down the track so I save trades.
Let me know if I've missed anyone in either rookie or fallen premium category, along with what you think:

DEF: Otten, Hibberd, EVW, Chol, Melican, Stewart (JSmith, ZGuthrie)
MID: Danger, Fyfe, Jobe, Beams, DSwallow, Brodie, SPP, Barrett (Wigg, Pickett, Allison)
RUC: Sandy, English (Preuss)
FWD: Roughy, Bowes, Florent, Butler, Parfitt, Cameron (Houston, Eddy)

Keep in mind this is just for a laugh and not a serious team!
Still have nearly $4M in the bank.

    Solid looking line up.
The inclusion of Freeman is astute. If he gets a good run at it, injury free, he will break into the Saints 22 and could be the ca$h cow P.O.D. which serves you beautifully.

Thoughts community?. Witts is the backup to Sandiballs but could also just risk it and bank 100k for future corrections

Simpson, Laird, Touhy, Marchbank, Hampton, Otten (VW, Stewart)

Danger, Treloar, Bont, Fyfe, Titchell, Beams, JOM, SPP (Barrett, Parfitt, Atley)

Gawn, Sandi (Witts)

Lynch, Dahlhaus, Macrae, Taranto, Eddy, Pickett (Butler, Houston) good chance Butler goes smells tioo much like Manedue all over again
