Loving the podcast! Also loving the end of the byes.

I have Libba and Kerridge remaining in my midfield and I'm planning on upgrading them to Selwood and Hanners. Does anyone see any issue with bringing those two in? My midfield at the moment is: Danger, Pendles, Sloane, Gaz, S Mitchell, R Gray, Kerridge, Libba. I am a little worried about Hanners run home and I am also worried about the cover I have on the bench. Should I aim to keep one of Libba or Kerridge as bench cover or go all out and get the guns?
Cheers Guys

    Richard · 05/07/2016 at 16:20

Go Selwood,Hanners.Wouldn't worry about Hanners run home That would give a dam good midfield go for it

    Leeds17 · 05/07/2016 at 16:42

Hannerbury tends to play well in all sorts of games, not a flat track bully.

    @wheels_1987 · 07/07/2016 at 10:26

    Han is a gun
    Selwood gun

    easy choice

Saalih · 05/07/2016 at 16:22

Best defender besides shaw docherty Simpson laird and rance? And who is better to trade Ruggles Collins or Bailey Williams?

    Steven · 05/07/2016 at 16:37

depends on how much cash you have if you can ride of williams do it to mcveigh. Boyd, JJ

      Saalih · 05/07/2016 at 16:47

      Can afford anyone

        Kumarchode · 05/07/2016 at 18:31

Williams all the way, ruggles and collins provide good bench cover

    The Ranger · 05/07/2016 at 18:36

If you go with McVeigh and keep Williams it open up the Def/Mid swing.
    Collins is decent back up.

      Saalih · 05/07/2016 at 19:00

I want the player who will score the most points from here on out. I am thinking maybe bartel pittard or Boyd.

        Hawks · 05/07/2016 at 19:28

        Bartel or JJ

Scotty · 05/07/2016 at 16:25

Plan to Downgrade Rose, Trengove and Collins over the next month and upgrade Cripps > Coniglio, Petracca > Zorko leaving me with Mitch Robinson as Fwd/Mid bench cover and around 250k in the bank for my remaining two trades.
Anyone see any problems with that??

    50_Shades · 06/07/2016 at 01:18

So, you've got seven trades as of now.
Realistically that's two or three upgrades max and then you've got injury cover so you'll be at the SC gods mercy of who you can trade… Good luck.

Steeeve · 05/07/2016 at 16:45

Current mid premos: Danger, Gaz, Pendles, Hanners, Neale, Selwood, Rockliff. Who would you rank as the next best?

    Mac · 05/07/2016 at 16:54

    Kev · 05/07/2016 at 16:55

    Good mids! Sloane probably next.

    I N Pieman · 05/07/2016 at 16:56

    Lachy · 05/07/2016 at 18:09

    Steeeve · 05/07/2016 at 18:15

Thanks all. Value doesn't matter but those I had been considering did not actually include Sloane, so that's an interesting one.
    I'd looked at:
Luke Parker (can go bang bit inconsistent and not a pod)
Called Ward (easy run home and undervalued)
    Dylan Shiel (see above)
Matt Priddis (underperforming without NicNat but proven super premo)
Robbie Gray (best of this whole bunch imo but tough run home)

      Derek · 05/07/2016 at 18:59

      Mr consistent, JPK.

        Southern S · 05/07/2016 at 19:33

Great value at 550k, and under 5% ownership even this late in the season is unbelievable.

          Moustachio · 05/07/2016 at 20:24

Would not describe 107.8 av for 554k as great value, just okay. Unless you think he will average significantly more on the run home.

            Southern S · 05/07/2016 at 20:40

Was more thinking of great value for JPK as a player in general who is usually around the 600k mark. He could do anything from here and average 120 for the rest of the season, he's capable.

    Shake n bake · 06/07/2016 at 15:12

    Ward here on

      pod · 06/07/2016 at 17:56

      yes next best Ward

Tommo09 · 05/07/2016 at 16:49

Is it worth trading Petracca to a premo fwd next week even if it will be F7?

    Tommo09 · 05/07/2016 at 18:00

If so, Merrett, Deledio, Montagna, Kennedy or Gunston?

      Lachy · 05/07/2016 at 18:10

I'd probs either get Merrett, Lids or Gunston tbh

        Tommo09 · 05/07/2016 at 18:14

I'm thinking Montanga only because of price

      The Ranger · 05/07/2016 at 18:40

Any of those options are good but it depends how many trades you have left and whether you need to keep the DPP

LJB · 05/07/2016 at 16:52

Thinking I'll trade in selwood and maybe franklin to reach full premo. Im unsure on franklin. Thoughts community

    Kev · 05/07/2016 at 18:54

Grabbed him last week when he was 1k less than Kerridge, was rewarded with a 114.

Swans gunning for top 4 and no Tippett. Go for it!

    Hawks · 05/07/2016 at 19:30

Franklin has been very consistent this year, even scored ok in the wet

      50_Shades · 06/07/2016 at 01:07

Sure, who doesn't love the roller coaster ride of a key fwd… He is playing good footy though.

I don't think I would do it, but understand the attraction

        Kev · 06/07/2016 at 09:04

Rounds 1-10 he had 8 100+ scores and his lowest was 83, so not as up and down as previous years. Some bad games against gc and gws though.

Averaging 18 touches, 6 marks, and 4 goals. At his price I see it as a safe gamble

Rockbanker · 05/07/2016 at 16:53

I have 9 trades and $84K. I have Dangers, Pendles, Sloane, Abba, Ward, Hanners, as well as Wines and Liba, both of whom I have had from day one. I am thinking of trading the latter two for Parker (Cheap) and Zorko so I can switch to my six quality mid/fwds if need be. Your constructive cricism is most welcome community.

    Booster · 05/07/2016 at 18:27

    Trade Libba and get Neale.

    Maestro · 06/07/2016 at 01:05

Depends which Abba; Benny or Bjorn?

      50_Shades · 06/07/2016 at 01:15

I like your thinking and the mid/fwd swing may be important.

Pinidu · 05/07/2016 at 16:54

I've got 10 trades this week and 240K in the bank. My only rookies are Mills, as well as Libba and Wells on field and an injured Michael Barlow.

I'm already planning on a Mills > Neale trade.

My second trade this week has me at crossroads; do I play Petracca (FWD bench) until Barlow comes back OR trade Barlow > Zorko OR trade Perracca to S Motlop who will cover for Barlow then become a bench swing man….

Thoughts community?

    lolattack · 05/07/2016 at 17:02

Barlow to Zorko if going for rank, Petracca to Motlop and holding Barlow if going for league wins.

    Jimmy · 05/07/2016 at 17:06

Sounds like you have a great team. Id say given that you have the luxury of trades I would get rid of Barlow for Zorko.

Dont trade in Motlop he will do your head in.

What about trading in Callan Ward instead of Neale; it will give you more money and you can therefore possible upgrade petracca to someone decent and allow barlow to remain on your bench until he gets back.

      Pinidu · 05/07/2016 at 17:19

Thanks for the suggestion Jimmy. I had a think about it. The problem is I already have two GWS players in Shaw and Greene. And, I believe that Zorko is a must have. But cheers anyway.

    The Ranger · 05/07/2016 at 18:15

Looking good Pinidu! With 10 trades I reckon you just go BANG BANG Neale and Zorko.

Jimmy · 05/07/2016 at 17:02

Use one trade to bring in Ward or two trades to bring in Pendles?

I have 7 trades left.

Getting rid of Zahakakis

    I N Pieman · 05/07/2016 at 17:08

Tough call but save trades & get Ward

    Pinidu · 05/07/2016 at 17:21

Yeh definitely save the trade and get Ward mate. They'll both average about the same from here on out anyway and the pies have a really tough draw.

      Southern S · 05/07/2016 at 18:01

Massive call saying Ward will average the same as Pendles who has averaged around 120 for the last 6 years……………….

        I N Pieman · 05/07/2016 at 18:40

Good point southern. But the extra trade will certainly come in handy

          Southern S · 05/07/2016 at 19:35

True, but I couldn't go into finals without Pendles in my team.

            Pinidu · 05/07/2016 at 20:11

The pies have a very hard draw from here on. With Richmond and Gold Coast being their only expected wins. Pendles is also under an injury crowd, a better team wouldn't let him dominate in the way Carlton let him on Saturday. Factor in the extra trade and Ward being over 100K cheaper and getting Ward becomes the right decision.

              Southern S · 05/07/2016 at 20:38

While I agree with most of your points a right decision can not be concluded till after the games have all been played my friend 😉

Pendles has been said to be carrying an injury all year, yet he's averaging 120.6

              Ward is averaging 108.9

Pendles is a champion of the game, Ward is not and that is the key point I will leave you with.

Ward is a great choice in this situation but not having pendlebury when he's averaging 120 is supercoach blasphemy.

                Pinidu · 05/07/2016 at 20:52

                Indeed he is Southern S.

As a one eyed pie I could go on all day about my love for Pendles. He is my favourite player of all time. I've played SuperCoach for four years now and I haven't gone a single week without Pendles, and he never let me down with a bad score.

His last score below 70 was round 3 2012! 🙂

Allow me to tell u that it was with a heavy heart that I advised Jimmy to take Ward.

                Poetry in motion…

                  Jimmy · 05/07/2016 at 23:47

Thanks for the tips guys. I agree not having Pendles is killing me but if I don't have injuries coming into finals I'll bring him in for either Wines, Libba or Cripps

                    50_Shades · 06/07/2016 at 00:46

Average difference 12 points a week vs one trade saved, right now I'd save the trade.

    @wheels_1987 · 07/07/2016 at 10:28

good POD and good run home

min0008 · 05/07/2016 at 17:02

Is it worth trading Kerridge this week if my forward line looks like this:
F: Deledio, Martin, Montagna, Hall, Wells, Kerridge (Petracca, Menadue)

I only have 7 trades and 59k in the bank. I could bring in Franklin at 440k or wait for Zorko or Merrett next week after downgrading Menadue?

All other lines are fully premium with Collins at D7 and Libba M8 with Trengove, Phillips and Jansen on the bench.

    Dan · 05/07/2016 at 17:49

Wait a week and flick Menadue for Zorko

      50_Shades · 06/07/2016 at 01:19

Yep, wait a week. I agree Zorko, but keep an eye out for Zerrett, he's been v.good this year and if you think he can keep going, he's a viable alternative.

    @wheels_1987 · 07/07/2016 at 10:28

    Zorko the Magnificent

Adam · 05/07/2016 at 17:09

Who's the better option out of S Docherty and Z Williams.

Current backline premiums are Shaw, Boyd, Simpson, Laird, Bartel.

    Pinidu · 05/07/2016 at 17:23

    Leeds17 · 05/07/2016 at 18:37

Docherty clearing on exposed form, that being said GWS have a soft draw from here and Carlton pretty tough.

      Pinidu · 05/07/2016 at 20:13

The draw is an interesting topic when discussing defenders. Sometimes the harder the draw, the more possessions defenders will get due to the ball being down there more often.

        Southern S · 05/07/2016 at 20:33

Also the draw can have zero impact on a defender's scoring, especially Simpson and Docherty who have scored well all year in wins and losses.

          50_Shades · 06/07/2016 at 01:03

Draw schmaw, trying to predict players scores based on your view of the quality of the opposition is frought with danger.

What about the weather, how many hours sleep they had, did they bring their lucky undies…

            Moustachio · 06/07/2016 at 08:13

Certain teams bleed SC points to the opposition in certain positions tho. Foolish to ignore if one player is playing a bunch of such teams, while another is playing teams that are the opposite.

              Southern S · 06/07/2016 at 13:26

People give the draw too much credit for scoring though, anything can happen.

Rick · 05/07/2016 at 17:25

Hannerz or Neale??
Already have parker

    Dan · 05/07/2016 at 17:56

Both. Coin toss both will be in top 4 to 6 premos by end of the year. Hanners with lower price would be my option

    Saints man · 05/07/2016 at 20:51

    Neale if already got Parker

    @wheels_1987 · 07/07/2016 at 10:29

    Neale as a POD

Steve · 05/07/2016 at 17:33

Got 520k to spend on a mid premo, who is the best option? or do i use another trade and upgrade to a more expensive premium like hanners or neale?

    Dan · 05/07/2016 at 17:51

    Parker, Ward or Gray

      Southern S · 05/07/2016 at 18:02

Great options in that price range.

    Steeeve · 05/07/2016 at 18:15

Parker, Ward, Robbie Gray all fantastic value.

matt · 05/07/2016 at 17:49

What about scott Lycett!!!! fwd/ruck, so will cover rucks, only 419,000 and no naitanui for the next 7 weeks……. think about it

    Moustachio · 06/07/2016 at 08:16

Would wait a week, hard to judge from only 1 performance vs essendon. 125 be so will get a bit cheaper.

    Danners · 06/07/2016 at 09:38

As an R3/F7, he is a good option

Andrew · 05/07/2016 at 18:01

How much long do we expect Dahlhaus to be out for, AFL website says 1-2 weeks but I thought he would be out for longer

    Kev · 05/07/2016 at 19:02

He's been gone for 3. Initially reported as a 4 week injury. I'd expect him back next week

      FootyFanatic · 05/07/2016 at 19:26

Not sure how accurate they are but it was just reported on channel 7 news that he will be 3 weeks away.

    Dasha · 05/07/2016 at 19:32

saw a comment here the other day saying that he'll be out for longer than expected, the bloke has a mate working with the club

      Moustachio · 05/07/2016 at 20:45

Yep the guy reckoned 4-5 weeks. May or may not be reliable but definitely a worry if you're holding.

Parchy · 06/07/2016 at 06:23 said he's returned to running so that's a good sign

The Run Home · 05/07/2016 at 18:22

Who out of Gibson, Rance, McVeigh or JJ for last def spot
Already have Shaw, Simpson, Doc, Pittard and Laird

    Southern S · 05/07/2016 at 19:37

If you need one right now Rance.

If you can wait for a couple of rounds to see how things pan out maybe McVeigh or JJ.

    Hawks · 05/07/2016 at 19:39

    Rance for mine

      50_Shades · 06/07/2016 at 01:06

Rance (geez I feel for him, busts his nuts every week and for what!) but agree with Southern if you can watch a week or two, the others might make the decision harder.

Leeds17 · 05/07/2016 at 18:34

Pendles or Neale? (Assuming I can get 10pts per game elsewhere with money saved)

    50_Shades · 06/07/2016 at 01:13

Pendles for mine, but not sure I can justify it. Neales been great this year… But still Pendles.

    Danners · 06/07/2016 at 09:37

    Pendlebury anyday, much more reliable

    @wheels_1987 · 07/07/2016 at 10:29

if you need a pod NEALE

Tommo09 · 05/07/2016 at 18:39

Hopper or Petracca out for a non-playing rookie to loophole with?

Hopper out means that Petracca is on field this week but I am limited in who I get in next week
Petracca out means that I have to play Phillips on field this week but I can get any forward next week

Thoughts community??

    ToneStar · 05/07/2016 at 19:02

Get a cheap Ess mid/forward player. They have a lot of Sunday games coming up and perfect loop hole player for VC and swing player… I'm looking at getting one in next few weeks…

      Tommo09 · 05/07/2016 at 19:10

      Hopper or Petracca out?

        Liam · 05/07/2016 at 19:18

Hopper easily, petracca is still playing.

          Tommo09 · 05/07/2016 at 19:32

Even though that limits who I can get next week?
Also, Petracca may lose cash while Hopper will not

            Tommo09 · 05/07/2016 at 20:19

            I was thinking Petracca

              Liam · 05/07/2016 at 21:15

But could be limiting point scoring with having to play Phillips. Depends how much it effects your choices next week.

    @wheels_1987 · 07/07/2016 at 10:30

the injuries will come. we all need cover

i think its the worst idea to trade out petracca, he will be needed

Clarky99 · 05/07/2016 at 18:41

Who to VC out of Hannebery and Danger?
Who to C out of Ablett and Pendles?

    Dasha · 05/07/2016 at 19:30

danger because of higher ceiling and pendles because ablett could cop a tag from robinson

      Pinidu · 05/07/2016 at 20:14

We expecting Coniglio to tag Treloar?

        Southern S · 05/07/2016 at 20:41

        Moustachio · 05/07/2016 at 20:46

Sidebum has been copping it lately. The Pendles tag is rarely effective, I would tag Treloar > Sidebu, > Pendles if I was opp coach.

    Hawks · 05/07/2016 at 19:43

    Danger & Pendles

    Southern S · 05/07/2016 at 20:42

I think we could see big scores in the GCS vs Lions game.

    @wheels_1987 · 07/07/2016 at 10:31

    Ive gone S.Mitchell VC
    Danger C

    in your situation

    Danger VC
    Ablett C

only issue being thats what EVERYONE is doing this week, which is why im going for Mitchell VC tonight

nah mate, he loves the SPOOF

Craig · 05/07/2016 at 18:56

Who to bring in out of robbie gray and ward?

    Dasha · 05/07/2016 at 19:28

    ward i reckon, easier draw

    Hawks · 05/07/2016 at 19:43

      50_Shades · 06/07/2016 at 00:55

Yeah, probably Ward, but I bought Gray at almost $600k, so I'm probably a little scarred. He'll be right though.

    Southern S · 05/07/2016 at 21:39

Gray, I reckon he'll come good.

I like the Melbourne and crows games at Adelaide rounds 21 and 22, then GCS at metricon in round 23. Has some tough games before that of course.

GWS has a good draw but if looking at finals scoring I'd pick Gray.

Timchief · 05/07/2016 at 19:01

Thoughts? Best pod?

    Hawks · 05/07/2016 at 19:45

    Zorko & Franklin

    Redgumwon · 05/07/2016 at 21:12

I've had Mitch Robinson all year. Started slow and was scoring really well until the KO against the tigers early in the game. Should be back this week after the week off for the bye. He's a great POD priced at only $447,200 and DDP mid/fwd

      50_Shades · 06/07/2016 at 00:59

Zorko and Zerrett (though without Zaha this week, Zerrett might cop more attention than he can handle).

SCaddict · 05/07/2016 at 19:20

I appreciate the shoutout lads. Only two more sleeps until the next play at home CoachKings fixture … can't wait!

Btw Crouching was right first up that the Supercoach GF is back to Rd23 this season after being Rd22 last year.

As Jock mentioned Superfooty keeps switching things up so it's hard to keep track but it's important to note you'll need to go the full distance if you want to take home league silverware this season. So hang on to those trades if league supremacy is of interest as it's 8 long weeks to go.

    Hawks · 05/07/2016 at 19:47

Well done last Thursday SCA, I was keeping an eye on my team, but also cheering yours on.

pete · 05/07/2016 at 19:37

is jack stevens a keeper or trade 10 trades left

In the Nick of Time · 05/07/2016 at 19:39

Are you thinking of trading him? Don't.

In the Nick of Time · 05/07/2016 at 19:39

Surely you've gone more pressing matters than Steven?

        pete · 05/07/2016 at 19:45

i do bit of rage trade probably adams to hall this week and hold ranked 500 odd 9 trades left after this round

      pete · 05/07/2016 at 19:39

    Danners · 06/07/2016 at 09:29

Definitely a keeper for now unless he goes on a long run of not scoring over 100

    @wheels_1987 · 07/07/2016 at 10:32

Kev · 05/07/2016 at 19:48

Smitch or Shiel?

    Andrew · 05/07/2016 at 20:35

Shiel, more consistent and a good run home

    poloko48 · 05/07/2016 at 21:15

Smitch $20K cheaper and averages 0.8 per game more.
Question marks over whether he plays all remaining games, but doubt he'll be rested now given how close the top 8 is.

      @wheels_1987 · 07/07/2016 at 10:33

big strong boy from Mooroolbark – get behind him

    Southern S · 05/07/2016 at 21:34

Like Shiel, don't trust Hawks not to rest Mitchell.

ivan · 05/07/2016 at 19:50

guys have 8 trades left one upgrade to do… plus trade nick nat out of 2
goldstien 150k under orignial price or s.martain who might av within 5 pts of goldy for the rest of yr.. or do u think goldy can go 120 plus from now on

    DoggieStyle · 05/07/2016 at 19:59

Stay with Goldy, he could turn things around

    bUCKET__ · 05/07/2016 at 20:23

Love Lycett to bits, but Goldy will dominate him this week. Chuck the C on Goldy and don't take a VC less than 140…

      Southern S · 05/07/2016 at 20:30

      large plums.

      Southern S · 05/07/2016 at 20:40

When I say large plums I mean not taking any VC score below 140.

        50_Shades · 06/07/2016 at 01:01

No special rules for Goldy, look what Ablett did to some coaches last week, take 120+ for VC if you get it.

Gord29 · 05/07/2016 at 20:52

Current back line shaw Docherty Simpson Bartel Boyd Collins (lee Austin) thinking of upgrading either lee or austn to JJ or McVeigh or another defender looking for a pod

    Danners · 06/07/2016 at 09:36

McVeigh would be the better option with an easier run home

      Gord29 · 06/07/2016 at 10:45

I'm leaning towards him at this stage but may end up going safer and picking liard

      easy answer

jezzahill · 05/07/2016 at 20:57

How can you not be convinced about Zorko, Jock? Has only had two scores sub-100 for the year and they were a 97 and 86. Will finish as a top six forward if not THE top forward and you don't want him in your team?

    Lachy · 05/07/2016 at 21:19

Some say he's busy with his personal life (recent child) but he's going to be averaging 100+ regardless.

    Southern S · 05/07/2016 at 21:45

Sleepless nights from the baby crying, he'll be lucky to average 50 from here on.

      50_Shades · 06/07/2016 at 00:54

Southern, it's amazing what parents can do in zombie state. He may just play like a man possessed. Let's face it, it's a day outta the house… I reckon he'll be on fire!!!

But I'm going to wait one more week before pulling the trigger, just in case.

        Soothsayer · 06/07/2016 at 13:49

The AFL needs a program to help with family planning and careful management of that pre-season horn. It should NOT be happening at this elite level, no AFL child should be born between March and November.

Zorko the Magnificent = Must Have

poloko48 · 05/07/2016 at 21:11

Great call on Curnow guys – huge POD (0.5% ownership) but can he keep it going?
Another amazing stat – he's the 6th highest averaging MID in the last 5 rounds – staggering!
Better than Lewis, JPK, Bont, Neale, Titch, Hanners over the last 5 rounds!!!!

    Beagz · 05/07/2016 at 21:22

And Waite was the highest scoring player over the first 5 rounds…. Everyone is late to the party

      Davonaise · 05/07/2016 at 22:07

Haha that takes me back lol after round 6 I remember so many talking him up but I saw the problem with him, he had yet to play against a good defence structure and what do ya know plop he stinks the toilet bowl…..

Ben · 05/07/2016 at 21:15

Currently ranked just outside top 3000 with 6 trades left. 1 midfielder off full premo across all lines. Can make two trades (one up, one down) in order to get Hannebery, or just the one trade and get Shiel.

    poloko48 · 05/07/2016 at 21:19

I'd prefer Hanners, but in your position prob go with Shiel, gives you one extra trade to play with as injury cover.
In saying that I reckon Shiel's been oversold slightly, gun player no doubt but not quite there as solid mid premo just yet.
Averages about the same as Sammy Mitchell who I don't think we'd class as a top 8 mid this year.
But hey, I've only got 2 trades left so maybe don't listen to me lol!!

      Ben · 05/07/2016 at 21:36

Ideally i don't want to make two trades. I've actually changed my thinking and gone to Coniglio with 6k in the bank.
Only games he has scored below 100 has been against Geelong, Adelaide and Sydney…GWS do not play any of those teams again this year.
He could be the POD that gets me inside the top 1000.

        Southern S · 05/07/2016 at 21:41

Like it, think outside the box he's been great this year. Only 1.7% ownership is amazing.

        Hubba · 05/07/2016 at 22:27

Coniglio in for me too this week … well priced and ready to cash in on an easy run home

Zorko · 05/07/2016 at 21:26

Can anyone explain to me why jock isn't convinced on Zorko…..

    Southern S · 05/07/2016 at 21:32

Just a gut feeling probably, I never ended up locking him in my forward either, picked dusty, lids and montagna ahead of him.

Don't ask me why though lol.

    wombatsfc · 05/07/2016 at 21:41

He's nuts mate. coachkings over excited his arousal curve and he burst a foofer valve. It happened very early in the season if you look back at some of his team selections.

      Southern S · 05/07/2016 at 21:44

Jock has made some very……..interesting decisions this year that's for sure.

    Moustachio · 06/07/2016 at 08:33

His scoring since Rockliff came back has left him overpriced. The recent baby is a bit if an unknown too. His BE is high, would upgrade elsewhere if possible and wait a week

    Danners · 06/07/2016 at 09:34

Less midfield time, when he doesn't have much midfield time, he could put up some terrible scores

      I N Pieman · 06/07/2016 at 10:10

I don't have him & I'm a wait & see with him. Definitely noticed the decline since Rocky came back. I also don't like the idea of having Rich Rocky & Zorko in my team

    @wheels_1987 · 07/07/2016 at 10:35

referring to yourself in the 3rd person…

    get stuck into him mate

    grow some ball

convince jock this week and give me 150 points

Davonaise · 05/07/2016 at 21:29

Looking back on first selections before the season started Bartel has been the difference in coaches defences. Has been very good so far, hope to grab him before finals and have a Rich as d7

    50_Shades · 06/07/2016 at 00:57

He's certainly been serviceable, but it's understandable the long tooth had people not so sure. I bought him in about 4 weeks ago and I'm happy enough hat he'll be a keeper.

      The Ranger · 06/07/2016 at 10:17

I reckon its Docherty that's been the bolter in defence.
From memory there wasn't a huge price difference between them but I went for Yeo instead and they currently have a 575 point difference….

Chubby McChubby · 05/07/2016 at 21:54

    Danners · 06/07/2016 at 09:34

A very underrated option, is nearly a top 10 player by average. Would rather him than Shiel

    Chubby McChubby · 06/07/2016 at 14:35

I have Shiel already. I just think Conogilio is great value

amazing POD if you need one

MadTiger · 05/07/2016 at 22:30

Podcast Gold Jock.

Currently top 4% ranking. With 8 trades and &1k cash, is it worth trading Petraca & Cox to McVeigh & Silvagni? That Would take me to near full premo with Libba M8 and Rich D6. Not perfect but 6 trades for injury cover seems ok.

    50_Shades · 06/07/2016 at 00:49

I like mcveigh, don't care for the silva I trade just yet. Can you do just one?

      MadTiger · 06/07/2016 at 07:59

Thanks, unfortunately need the 2 trades to make it happen.

Kat · 05/07/2016 at 22:44

Keep Tom Mitchell or trade to Pendlebury?

Only have 5 trades and the trade would leave me with only 3. Ranked top 200 so getting pendelbury could be vital.

    David · 06/07/2016 at 00:01

Hold the trades for now. Collingwood have a hard run home so pick your time and make each trade count from here

      50_Shades · 06/07/2016 at 00:45

Yes, I wouldn't feel comfortable with only three trades right now. Bide your time Kat.

    Moustachio · 06/07/2016 at 08:36

Everyone above you has Pendles, but none have the Titch (except for me, mwahaha). If Pendles gets injured or drops off due to Pies draw, and Titch goes on a purple patch, you can make up some ground

      Kat · 06/07/2016 at 11:51

Thanks Moustachio. I know you have been ranked in top five recently. I was at top five not long ago too but had some bye trouble. Hoping for a comeback

    @wheels_1987 · 07/07/2016 at 10:36

    hold Titch
good coaches show nerve in these times

Joe · 05/07/2016 at 22:58

Community I have both Kerridge and Petracca atm, who to trade first? I'm already using one trade this week on Nicnat to Goldy/Martin.

    50_Shades · 06/07/2016 at 00:48

Kerridge. Are you going Goldy or Martin? I'm in the same boat and 90% sure I'll go Martin. I'm just not sure Goldys ok and whilst he may get up every week, I'm thinking he's going to limp home…

      Joe · 06/07/2016 at 01:12

Leaning towards Martin too. Pros and cons with both rucks but don't think Goldy will be 100% for the rest of the year, and hence might be rested in the later rounds if North's finals position is secure.

One Touch Wonder · 05/07/2016 at 23:16

I know there are many people who havn't followed my SHARK MOVES this year. Deep down I know everyone is still cheering for me. But To celebrate the end of the bye rounds and for the final push for glory, I have yet another SHARK MOVE for people to jump on to.

I can't reveal it just yet, I still need to sleep on it another night just to make sure I'm happy with it.

    Alex · 06/07/2016 at 00:26

Aaron Hall just went big, Tex Walker has been serviceable and Dayne Zorko is a star.

      One Touch Wonder · 06/07/2016 at 08:50

This time it's for the serious players. Those going for outright. Top of their leagues. This will be the move the winner will make. Anyone in the top 100 going for gold will want this SHARK MOVE. This will separate the ultra elite players from the rest.

David · 06/07/2016 at 00:03

Is Ward worth trading in to fill my last midfield spot. What do you think community?

    50_Shades · 06/07/2016 at 00:44

They've got a good run home, so he's not a bad choice. Might depend on who else you're missing though.

    Danners · 06/07/2016 at 09:32

Yes he is if you don't have another GWS mid

50_Shades · 06/07/2016 at 00:41

I've been thinking about these suggestions to sell high. I don't think this makes sense.

In SC only game day performance determine price (whereas with investments, market sentiment, external and irrational factors can affect price), so if Dangers price is high, it's because he's kicking ass – Are you really willing to risk miss out on those potential points (which are proven over a long period of time) because that cash can help fund one or two other moves.

Maybe at the start of the season, maybe (in the hope he'll drop in price), but now we're getting to the business end, I'm not so sure…

Whilst investment people say past performance is no indicator of future performance, I don't think this applies on the SC team sheet – in short hold your healthy elite premos and find another way to fix up your other spots.

Note I'm not licensed to provide SC or financial advice 😉

    Derek · 06/07/2016 at 09:36

one of my pre season rules was to "pay the price". It is still valid.

    @wheels_1987 · 07/07/2016 at 10:38

the arguement was you could turn danger into 2 other premos, so in that situation it would be coaches struggling who really needed a shake up

i would assume most people who use this forum wouldnt have been in a position where they needed to trade out danger, but there are some young supercoachs out there who were far from full premo

in which case trading danger to S.Mitchell and L.Parker PLUS pocketing cash may not have been the worst thing in the world

adam · 06/07/2016 at 06:48

6 trades left 116k full premo
last 2 trades where petracca to boak pod
davis to mitchell
thoughts please

    Clarky99 · 06/07/2016 at 07:44

I don't like the Boak pick. Only tonned up 4 times this season in which his highest score of 145 which was last week. Not consistent enough and not a big enough ceiling for a midfielder. Last week was only a one off, don't chase points.

    Danners · 06/07/2016 at 09:31

The entire Port midfield (other than Gray) hasn't fired this season and it seems like it will continue. If you are low on cash, Viney and Sidebum are good options

Tommo09 · 06/07/2016 at 08:05

Which fwd should I get next week?
I have Martin, Wells, Riewoldt, Franklin, Hall, Petracca (Barlow, Phillips)

If I trade Petracca out this week I can get anyone next week, but I have to play Phillips this week
If I trade Hopper out this week I am limited to around $480 000 depending on prices going up and down

Who to get and is it worth going Petracca even though it might cost me 20-30 points this week? I think if I can get anyone the player say Zorko could get 15 more ppg so it makes up for it.

    Clarky99 · 06/07/2016 at 08:46

Why don't you trade Hopper and keep Tracca as Backup?
For around 480k, you can get Joey Montagna ($484k), Josh J Kennedy ($471k), Gunston $483k) or even Toby Greene who has a great run home in which he tends to cash in. ($448k)

      Tommo09 · 06/07/2016 at 08:58

Because I don't have Zorko and I feel like I need him or Merret or Deledio
I think I will trade Petracca and risk the points

I am already going Libba to Neale next week

        Clarky99 · 06/07/2016 at 11:01

Fair enough, you need at least one of those. If i were you, i probably wouldn't go Lids as he has said himself he isn' playing in the guts much anymore. Go Zorko, but Merrett is also a very good pick, although DE is a big issue with him.

          Tommo09 · 06/07/2016 at 11:15

Done Petracca down to Long from Essendon because Essendon have lots of Sunday games I am told
Next week, Hopper out, Phillips to mids and Zorko in
This also opens up my mid/fwd swing

            Southern S · 06/07/2016 at 18:43

They do have 5 or 6 sunday games remaining I think.

I think he will go Danger to Curnow

        Loop · 06/07/2016 at 11:40

Thinking Gibbo because Savage is playing the bombers.

Mitch · 06/07/2016 at 09:47

Hi Community, love your work as always. Pretty happy with my team just after some reassurance. 8 trades with 184k left

Shaw, Docherty, Simpson, Laird, Bartel, Tippa (Collins, Tucker)
Danger, Pendles, Ablett, Shiel, Priddis, Gray, Mitchell, Libba (Stewart, Trengove, Phillips)
Gawn, Goldy (Grimley)
Martin, Lids, Merrett, Montagna, Hall, Wells (Petracca, Howard)

I've got two options this week. Really want both Boyd and Hannebury/Neale but fall short by 20k

1) Tippa out for Boyd. Libba out for Ward/Parker/Treloar

2) Tippa out for JJ/Pittard. Libba out for Neale/Hannebury

Feedback would be much appreciated

Thanks guys!

    Grahame Lebroy · 06/07/2016 at 10:14

I'd probably go with 1, but they are both good options

Grahame Lebroy · 06/07/2016 at 09:47

Has anyone got any news on when Dahlhaus is expected to return to footy?

    I N Pieman · 06/07/2016 at 09:56

From what I'm hearing minimum 2 & possibly quite a few more. Worse than originally thought

      Grahame Lebroy · 06/07/2016 at 10:04

bugger, looks like its out of Merrett and Lids for me then.

    Gherkin · 06/07/2016 at 10:11

      I N Pieman · 06/07/2016 at 10:22

It's a long time to hold him. If I had him I'd move him on

Danners · 06/07/2016 at 09:52

Great work Jock and crew! Seems like this year the tagger/run with player has averaged pretty well. Curnow, Titch, Coniglio, Gibbs, Barlow and there are probably a few others doing well. One that I think people are overlooking is Coniglio. Is the 9th best midfielder by average and has the easier run home on playing 2 top 8 sides. Owned by only 1.7% of teams…

    I N Pieman · 06/07/2016 at 10:23

Super player. If I have a mid injury he's high in considerations. Your right about the GWS run home. Might not lose another. I also like the look of the Dogs run home which is why i'll keep Libba a little longer

Cliffy · 06/07/2016 at 10:23

Love the podcast and love that the byes are over!

Simple question, I have 6 trades coming out of byes, compared to everyone else, is this still a reasonable number to cover off the inevitable late round rests, injuries, etc in the lead up to byes?

My team is almost full premo (just Tippa left at D6 for me as weakest area in the team), and I have alright bench cover across all lines.

    Kev · 06/07/2016 at 18:53

Bit on the low side I think. Tippa needs to go as he's tiring and not someone you can get away with at D6.

      Cliffy · 07/07/2016 at 13:23

      *lead up to finals

Grahame Lebroy · 06/07/2016 at 10:42

I reckon you will come up short. But if your like me then its SC tradition to run out of trades before the year is out. But it comes down to if your lucky to have premo's who don't cop injuries towards the end of the year

I N Pieman · 06/07/2016 at 10:56

Think we are all guilty of that Grahame. I don't think I've ever had a trade left in the final round. Whilst it seem like we have some now they don't last long when the inevitable carnage strikes.

    Grahame Lebroy · 06/07/2016 at 11:18

How many will you have left when you hit full premo Pieman? I will hit full premo this week with only 5 left. bout 3 – 4 trades short i reckon

      I N Pieman · 06/07/2016 at 11:26

I will upgrade Weitering to most likely JJ this week. Makes me "technically" full premo. But I still have Rich Libba & Hall. Will leave 7 trades after trading Weit but also have kerridge covering 2 lines as a spare. Although I haven't decided what to do with him yet. If I was to upgrade the 3 lightweight premos I'd have none left. So I'm stuck with them for the time being.

        Grahame Lebroy · 06/07/2016 at 12:09

I think Libba and Hall are ok, but Rich is a little thin. I reckon having good back up through bench or swing sets will be very valuable towards the end of the year, Kerridge might be handy cover for you

          I N Pieman · 06/07/2016 at 13:00

Rich is on life support believe me. If it gets to the point that it definitely won't cost me a donut then I'll pull the plug. Oh boy will it be joyous!

Moosehead · 06/07/2016 at 13:01

Liba to Neale as I have the other main midfielders? My concern is will Neale continue on his merry way in a poor team and that is why I am not keen on Merrett even though I lack a mid-fwd swing. Thoughts.

    I N Pieman · 06/07/2016 at 13:25

It's a luxury upgrade Moosey to go to Neale. I've considered it. If you got more than 8 trades & your full premo go for it. Best to complete your swingsets with rookies. Merrett only has a place in the Fwd line

      Moosehead · 06/07/2016 at 15:11

Yes, fair enough. I will be looking for a rookie swing set in the next couple of weeks.

Hello Community! Great posts and advice.
I am a little stuck, going for cash league rather than rank.
Have 6 trades and 350k currently.
Team looks like below. What do you think I should do?

B: Docherty Rance Shaw Bartel Laird Rich (Collins Tucker)
M: Danger Ablett Parker Priddis R Gray Libba Wines Kerridge (T Phillips Mathieson Trengrove)
R: Gawn Goldy (Grimley)
F: Martin Montagna Hall Barlow Dahlhaus Zorko (Cox Petracca)

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    I N Pieman · 06/07/2016 at 15:54

Kerridge to Pendles. Considering your playing for league hang onto Dahlhaus as your low on trades

MadTiger · 06/07/2016 at 15:33

Midfifield & Fwds needs upgrading. Move out Kerridge & Dalhaus, then Petraca/Wines. Look at Pendles, Hannaberry, Coniglio, Sloane. In forwards, consider Deledio, Franklin, JJK.

    manuello1 · 06/07/2016 at 15:42

I was hoping to keep Barlow and Dalhaus as I brought them in as keepers and wanted to save the trade but it all depends on how long they will be out for.

It also means I have to keep Libba and/or Wines potentially.

    But thanks for the tip.

    Also considered Ward and Neale.

What do you think of Merrett in fwd?

      MadTiger · 06/07/2016 at 16:57

Merrett is a good fwd option too. Some risk he may drop in scores as the season goes on but a very solid option.

Grahame Lebroy · 06/07/2016 at 15:34

Barlow might play this week

    Jim · 06/07/2016 at 15:53

    Your joking right

    steve1 · 06/07/2016 at 15:54

I know its ridiculous, i traded him out last week because 3-4weeks for freo usually means 5-6 weeks. so thought id get on the front foot and show him the door.

      Jim · 06/07/2016 at 15:58

Wait is it serious or was he joking?

        NO JOKE · 06/07/2016 at 16:01

          Jim · 06/07/2016 at 16:06

          Cheers mate

            Grahame Lebroy · 06/07/2016 at 16:16

It is Ross talking so who knows but it says he has good movement in his finger and has put his hand up to play

    Northernsoul74 · 06/07/2016 at 17:25

4 weeks always sounded a long time for a fractured finger.

    Southern S · 06/07/2016 at 18:25

Even if he only makes it back next week that's only one game missed, glad I held with limited trades.

Tommo09 · 06/07/2016 at 16:02

Team after trades this week

D: Shaw, Docherty, Simpson, Laird, JJ, Savage (Collins, Austin)
M: Danger, Pendles, Ablett, Rockliff, Hanners, Priddis, Libba, Parker (Hopper, Trengove, MacPherson*)
R: Gawn, Goldy (Grimley
F: Martin, Barlow**, Wells, Riewoldt, Franklin, Hall (Phillips, Long*)

6 trades $279k left
Went Petracca and Tippa to JJ and Long (for loophole)

Hopefully next week I will go Libba and Hopper to Neale and Montagna/Kennedy
Was going to go to Zorko but realised I stuffed up in my war chest and didn't have enough
Ranked 3293 after shocking round 14 and ok round 15

* To loophole with
** if he plays

Thoughts community???

    Southern S · 06/07/2016 at 18:24

    Looks fine Tommo

Adam · 06/07/2016 at 16:07

Should i get Nick Riewoldt or leigh Montagna?

johnno2908 · 06/07/2016 at 16:41

I know it sounds bad, but I really want barlow to miss at least another 2 weeks. Traded wells when he got injured, then was kind of forced to trade barlow. Wells averaged 125… what will barlow average haha

    I N Pieman · 06/07/2016 at 17:27

I traded Barlow last week. I'll be guttered if he's back this week

    Southern S · 06/07/2016 at 18:23

    Glad I held.

johnno2908 · 06/07/2016 at 17:55

I have been waiting the entire bye period to trade NicNat to Goldy, and as soon as SC opened I did this trade. As the week has progressed, I am really considering Stef Martin instead, especially with the finals draw. Goldy carrying that injury, still another game against Bulldogs(in SC finals)…. Team does feel better with Goldy in it though.

Remaining Games:
Stef Martin: Gold Coast, GWS, Essendon, Port Adelaide, Adelaide, Carlton, Geelong, St Kilda.
Todd Goldstein: West Coast, Port Adelaide, Collingwood, St Kilda, Western Bulldogs, Hawthorn, Sydney, GWS.

    Southern S · 06/07/2016 at 18:22

I think Goldy can score just fine against those teams listed.

ST 74 · 06/07/2016 at 22:00

Greetings Community. I need to trade out AMT and Kerridge but don't have enough cash to do a double upgrade unless I trade Barlow or Wells and keep Kerridge for another week. I don't want to trade Barlow or Wells but don't see I have much option. Proposed trades:
1)Barlow to R Gray and AMT to Franklin or
2) Barlow to R Gray and AMT to Greene

Would appreciate any thoughts/alternative ideas.

    ST 74 · 06/07/2016 at 22:04

Another option is Barlow to Greene and AMT to Deledio.

    ST 74 · 07/07/2016 at 15:12

Thanks Wheels. I was hoping to keep him but now means I need to trade out AMT (FWD and Kerridge (MID). Any suggestions on how I could upgrade both or does one need to be a downgrade.

Awesome! Really rich substance and to a great degree supportive in grouping. I got it my answer from here. I to a great degree advocate his/her instrument with the supportive instructive data. You're the best

Jasa SEO · 12/02/2018 at 17:46

Has only had two scores sub-100 for the year and they were a 97 and 86. Will finish as a top six forward if not THE top forward and you don't want him in your team?
