Supercoach 2016 midpriced forwardsThe byes are here and we need to be careful about trading.

The only place I can see it being worth trading in a premo is in the rucks. A lot of people hurting with Tippett and Nic Nat out so I’d be looking to bring in a replacement so that we don’t have to rely on rookies.

Outside of ruckmen we should be looking to downgrade or hold trades and I think I’ve highlighted the best rookie players to bring in.

Let me know if you have any other ideas for this round community!

What about Tom Phillips of Collingwood ?

    ToneStar · 15/06/2016 at 20:24

    Next week…

    throttlefinger · 15/06/2016 at 20:24

Thought he did really well for a first game and loss. Only 1 game so maybe worth seeing what he does R14.

      The Ranger · 15/06/2016 at 20:34

      Long time no read Throttle!
      How's ya season panning out?

        throttlefinger · 15/06/2016 at 21:35

Ranger, how thee be, my friend?

Yep, life has been grabbing me by the short hairs. Been going back and forth between top 5K-10K. Goal is to try to do well in leagues and get under top 1K.

        How ya doing?

          The Ranger · 15/06/2016 at 21:50

Not too bad. Been sitting in the 12 -1400's most of the year and I was managing to avoid the injury curse until this round
Aiming to come out of the byes strong but having to trade ass off to do it.
Top 1K would be nice eh?

            throttlefinger · 15/06/2016 at 23:01

            Well done, Ranger.

Top 1K would be nice…and probably more dream than reality. Ha.

    I N Pieman · 15/06/2016 at 20:29

Has the bye this week so park him in your plans. Made some rookie errors which is to be expected in debut. Thought he was solid & has a great tank. Look to him as a downgrade rnd 14-15. DPP huge appeal

    LEKD0G · 15/06/2016 at 20:40

Good pick up in the next couple of weeks

Chris · 15/06/2016 at 20:16

DEF:laird, docherty, rance, suckling, shaw, ruggles (B.williams, Collins)
MID:danger, hanneberry, ward, cripps, wines, pendles, liba, R.davis (keays, dunkley, hewitt)
RUCK: gawn, nic nat (goetz)
FWD: deledio, dalhaus, hall, wells, franklin, zorko (petracca, mcgovern)

26,000k in the bank. Any thoughts on trades for the byes

    John · 15/06/2016 at 20:24

Well you'll need to get rid of nic nat

      guest · 15/06/2016 at 21:21

      dalhaus too

    Tommo · 16/06/2016 at 09:37

NicNat gotta go, Downgrade Davis to Trengove, maybe downgrade McGovern to Rose, JS isn't very good though, you have Petracca, so aim to hold Dahl if you can.

Tommo09 · 15/06/2016 at 20:17

PHere is my team
Def: Shaw, Docherty, Laird, Adams, Tippa, DBJ (Collins, Byrne)
Mid: Pendles, Hanners, Danger, Ablett, Priddis, Parker, Libba, Rockliff (Hopper, Keays, MacPherson)
Ruc: Goldy, NicNat (Grimley)
Fwd: Martin, Franklin, Barlow, Wells, Hall, Kerridge (Petracca, Kennedy)

Thinking
Out: NicNat, Keays, Byrne
In: Gawn, Trengove, Austin
Before trades 15 trades and $53k

Thoughts???

    RioliBoyz1738 · 15/06/2016 at 20:49

You've got the prefect trades for this week. Next week you'll need a downgrade for Rance and Joey. Then one downgrade and top it off with Simpson. Full team with 7 trades left. Looking good.

      NutSack · 16/06/2016 at 00:19

no way he is going to get all those players you mention in in 5 trades…. no way he'll have 7 left… he only has 53K in the bank

        Tommo09 · 16/06/2016 at 07:45

        I'm doubtful too
I will have $277k after trades

          RioliBoyz1738 · 16/06/2016 at 14:32

          Umm you'll do it easy.

          277k + tippa to rance lets say -87k to simplify = 190k. 190k+ Kerridge to Joey – 50k = 140k. 140 + Downgrade kennedy lets say +210 = 350K. 350k + DBJ = 700k. 700k to get simpson = 180k.

That was only 4 trades so in fact you'll have 8 trades left, full team + 180k to upgrade Hall or Libba come finals time.

          No need to thank me.

            Tommo09 · 16/06/2016 at 15:46

            Thank you

Rocksta · 15/06/2016 at 20:19

To Dahl or not to Dahl?

    I N Pieman · 15/06/2016 at 20:39

He's wearing a knee brace. So that's probably what his ms is contemplating right now

The Beard · 15/06/2016 at 20:21

Lads I really need some direction on this one. Merrett or Deledio (already have Dusty)

Rocksta · 15/06/2016 at 20:23

Lek,
I'd love to get rid of KK, but just have too many other injury induced trades to consider.
I do however agree with you…………..He has had an absolute disaster of a season and would have to be the clubhouse leader for ' Burnman of the year'!

    John · 15/06/2016 at 20:26

KK has ruined me aswell, thought he was gonna finally get a decent score on the weekend only to be KO'd

    LEKD0G · 15/06/2016 at 20:41

Ahead of De Goey and Hurn for sure

    I N Pieman · 15/06/2016 at 20:44

Thumper is currently inverted. Move him in the opposite direction

Lesley · 15/06/2016 at 20:23

Toss a coin mate, just about both even players maybe Deledio because he is proven ?

Chris · 15/06/2016 at 20:28

thoughts on s reid from gws??

    LEKD0G · 15/06/2016 at 20:42

Wait and see, still have Tomlinson and Steele to come back into GWS

    BKW · 16/06/2016 at 07:57

Avoid – too much competition for spots and won't be a big scorer either

Steeeve · 15/06/2016 at 20:33

KK will be my d7 and I just hope he can average 80 for the run home.

The Ranger · 15/06/2016 at 20:33

Love ya work work Lek, thanks.
Seems I'm stuck between a Rose and Ham place this week.
Not ideal.

    LEKD0G · 15/06/2016 at 20:47

    Rose over Hams I think

      The Ranger · 15/06/2016 at 22:06

BANG. Trade done. Cheers Lek, TF.

      rosco_peco · 16/06/2016 at 10:17

isn't rose competing with papley and hewett for that spot? I'd say Hams has the better job security given the dons tendancy to blood youngs

        The Ranger · 16/06/2016 at 11:25

Papley got a good run at it earlier in the year, I'm hoping Rose will too.
And I'm hoping he'll make cash faster than Hams, which is a factor at this stage of the season.

    throttlefinger · 15/06/2016 at 21:36

Being an ardent GWS fan, watched the game and Rose did well. Solid on the marks but a bit sloppy with his goal kicking. Definitely take him over Hams. See Rose earning a quick $150K.

The Ranger · 15/06/2016 at 20:39

I've decided to dig my heels in and still do three downgrades despite losing Nic Nat and Dahlhaus.
It means I can still get Rance and Pendles next week and Hanners after his bye.
Holding Nic Nat until after Goldies bye then doing a straight swap.
What's that line about telling God ya plans?!

Ramstein · 15/06/2016 at 20:45

Looking to bring in Zorko next week! Who should I trade out, out of kerridge it hall ?

    LEKD0G · 15/06/2016 at 22:36

    Kerridge probably

Pinidu · 15/06/2016 at 20:47

Community,I wanna hear your thoughts rookies this week…please feel free to share your thoughts:
Rank the following rookies in terms of priority from first to last:
Jack Trengove
Tom Phillips
Will Hams
Logan Austin
Josh Rose
Kade Stewart

Cheers

    Pinidu · 15/06/2016 at 20:49

Forgot to add Jared Jansen, Rhys Matheison and Sam Reid πŸ™‚

      Cozza · 15/06/2016 at 22:46

Is this for this week? If this week, I'd go Trengove, Rose, Jansen, Stewart, Austin, Hams, Phillips, Reid, Matheison. This is obviously depending on who is named – I'm assuming Mathieson is still on the outer. I'm concerned about the JS for them all except Trengove though!

    RioliBoyz1738 · 16/06/2016 at 14:39

Don't touch stewart unless you really had to generate the peso's

Nick · 15/06/2016 at 20:47

Interested to hear thoughts on JS for Trengrove, Stewart and Jensen as a mid downgrade.

    A.J · 15/06/2016 at 21:05

Trengove probably won't be dropped unless he gets injured. Jensen and stewart I'm not very sold on, but I think they're both viable if you need it.

Mar Got Robbie · 15/06/2016 at 20:49

who was the answer to higgo's quiz? who leads efficient disposals and hard ball gets??

    Southern S · 15/06/2016 at 22:12

    Lachie Neale?

      LEKD0G · 15/06/2016 at 22:36

      Yep

Rivo · 15/06/2016 at 21:02

Great job again Lekdog! I'm ok with rucks (so far). Missed on Rocky last week after holding, so pulling the trigger this week as he is still cheap.

Going J.Smith, Gresham & Menapoo to Rocky, Trengove & Rose. Think Rose has more JS than Stewart given Tippett injury. Thoughts?

    LEKD0G · 15/06/2016 at 22:36

    I think so too

winters · 15/06/2016 at 21:16

Here is my current lineup – I have 143k in the bank but my problem is 8 trades

DEF – Shaw docherty laird enright suckling collins (Tucker lee)
MID – danger hanners ablett ward shiel priddis zieball lewis (hewett davis gresham)
RCK – Gawn nicnat (lorensch)
FWD – martin, dahlhaus, boomer kerridge tipungwuti hall (petracca wyatt)

Nicnat listed as 6-8 weeks and Dahlhaus listed at 4 weeks who should i trade them to, i have been hampered by injuries this year, but still think my team can get somewhere

do i have PODs or do i need to start getting in the big guns

    Cam_H · 16/06/2016 at 02:06

    winters,
Best of luck with whatever you choose to do.
You will have to trade out Nic Naitanui.
In your case, you're looking at Round 15 bye problems, so when considering your options, if you do go with 'say' Todd Goldstein, Shane Mumford, or Zac Smith (i.e. some options with Round 15 bye) be mindful that you'll be costing yourself some points there – it's not huge, but could be a consideration nonetheless.
In my view, with Petracca on the bench as fair cover and so few trades left, you don't 'need' to trade out Luke Dahlhaus – it's a 'coin toss' which way to go, as a month on the sidelines usually moves a player into the trade zone but you really have burned through your trading options to the point where you might have to carry players that you would normally move out.

Ricky Bobby · 15/06/2016 at 21:22

Do captains loophole still work with bye players ?

    Nick · 15/06/2016 at 21:41

Still works but with plenty more players to loophole.

'Don't Blush Baby' · 15/06/2016 at 21:24

I currently have Nic Nat and thinking of trading Callum Sinclair but can he average 90 – 100 while Tippet is out ? I see him as value compared to Lycett , thoughts please ?

    Neverweaken · 15/06/2016 at 21:39

Either him or Hampson. I'm thinking both for Dpp. Have NicNat and Tippett

Dasha · 15/06/2016 at 21:24

Now or never for rocky, but do I pull the trigger?

    Nick · 15/06/2016 at 21:41

Pull. Time to take a risk.

    The Ranger · 15/06/2016 at 21:54

I said I'd never do it but I did it already.
It feels slightly dangerous but in a good way.

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 15/06/2016 at 22:48

    Go on do it.
    I did it last week
    Felt uncomfortably wicked
Smith to rocky ahh yes please.

    Dasha · 15/06/2016 at 23:15

goddammit fellas you've seduced me over to the dark side, but i think i like it

    NutSack · 16/06/2016 at 00:21

    rocky?? LOL

the guy will be put in cotton wool and rested… lions are going nowhere.

    smart as s · 16/06/2016 at 00:55

u know the risk, if u do it, dnt come crying and cursing him here like hundreds will.

      TRIGGER HAPPY · 16/06/2016 at 15:04

      Yep. Know the risk.
Sometimes u just gotta take one.

Neverweaken · 15/06/2016 at 21:26

Was disaster with Tippett and NicNat but might be ok
Def. Shaw, Docherty, Simpson, Boyd, Suckling, Tippa. (Collins, Ruggles)
Mid. Ablett, Treloar, Danger, Selwood, Zaha, Libba, Priddis, Smith, (Hewett, Macpherson, Oliver)
Ruck. Gawn, NicNat. (Currie)
Fwd. Wells, Tippett, Martin, Kerridge, Kennedy, Petracca. (Hall, Adams)

13 trades.Trading out Hewett and Smith for Rocky and Stewart.
NicNat out, Tippett into ruck for a week. Tippa forward and Gibson brought in.
Gives me at least 18 this week playing. Maybe more if Tippa or Adams plays.
Next week Tippett and Tippa out Hampson and either Lids or Jenkins in.
Probably down to 6 or 7 trades at end of byes

    'Don't Blush Baby' · 15/06/2016 at 21:34

    Tippetts injured also

Neverweaken · 15/06/2016 at 21:40

I know πŸ™‚ will get rid of him next week.

Parko · 15/06/2016 at 21:44

Trade out Davis or Smith for Trengrove?

    Nick · 15/06/2016 at 22:00

Smith. Davis still has money to make.

      BKW · 16/06/2016 at 08:07

Yeah but not very much – you might squeeze another $30-40k from him max – but a poor score in his next would halt this (BE 35 from memory)

        Derek · 16/06/2016 at 09:53

even at this time of the year, wise to squeeze every last cent you can out of the rookies. could be difference between getting a premium or an Ultra premo.

Alan · 15/06/2016 at 21:48

is mark blicavs a good pickup for nic nat?

    Billy · 15/06/2016 at 21:50

    no

      Alan · 15/06/2016 at 21:53

      why not

        Billy · 15/06/2016 at 22:00

        Why would you?

          Billy · 15/06/2016 at 22:02

He's 2nd or 3rd ruck and plays midfield with Danger and Selwood that's why.

    Rocksta · 15/06/2016 at 22:14

    No.
Doesn't Ruck much nowadays and too many guns in that midfield.

    smart as s · 16/06/2016 at 00:58

no one should even be considered except gawn and goldy imo.

    Derek · 16/06/2016 at 09:44

i brought Blitz in about round 4, just after he had a few great games. has been poor since, he just won't kick the ball.

his job is to use those long arms to tackle anyone or anything that goes near Danger. he is a tackling machine, as a result he doesn't go looking for the ball much. The good part is that he is always around the guts and there will be days when he will actually touch the ball alot, they have been far between this year.

i'm holding him, but he has bled much cash

Benny · 15/06/2016 at 21:55

Whats priority this week?, weitering>austin
Smith>trengrove
Smith>stewart
Smith>matieson( if named )
Cox>rose
Cox>hams
Gonna do 3 downgrades this week
Which ones?

    Luviboy1 · 15/06/2016 at 22:28

Smith to Trengove is a no brainer. I can justify Weit to Austin easily as well although Weit still has a little bit of cash left in him. Toss a coin on Rose and Hams though. Both have shaky JS and Im not trading either, if I had to though Id be more inclined to go Rose.

    @TheNoLanguage · 15/06/2016 at 23:28

    Trengove and Rose best options

poloko48 · 15/06/2016 at 22:02

Current team with 13 trades left & $58,900 in bank:

DEF: Heater, Bartel, WIlliams, Laird, Wagner, Collins (Ruggles, Brand)
MID: Danger, Hanners, Jelwood, Ward, Parker, Libba, Priddis, Wines (Davis, Smith, Keays)
RUC: Goldy, Gawn (King)
FWD: Zorks, Buddy, Tippett, Kerridge, Wells, Hall (Petracca, AMT)

This week's trades:
IN: Trengove, Stewart, Rose
OUT: Keays, Smith, AMT
Leaves me with $578,400 in bank, plans for next 2 weeks:

R14 Trades
Tippett ($489,100) to Dusty ($566,500)
Wagner ($330,000) to Docherty ($575,700)
Leaves $255,300

R15
Davis ($320,000) to Phillips ($117,300)
Ruggles ($265,000) to Simpson ($528,700)

Leaves $194,300, 5 trades, full on field premo (assuming Kerridge, Wells, Libba acting as "premo" as they'll need to be keepers now)

Thoughts? Worried I'll run out of trades, hoping to not have many more injuries obviously!

Any other ideas that may suit are most welcome to put forward, thanks!

    Tony Shaw · 15/06/2016 at 22:17

Kerridge and libba aren't premo unf…may have to choose one of doch or Simpson , leave amt and shuffle more cash to your midfield where the big score potential is and upgrade libba

      poloko48 · 15/06/2016 at 23:17

Doch is #10 and Simmo #19 for total points YTD, that's pretty good.
In terms of averages Doch is 110.3, Simmo 105.0, Libba 99.9.
If I leave say Simmo out and upgrade Libba to say GAJ for example I have the following:
      Doch (110.3), AMT (76.6), GAJ (116.1).
Yes I'm gaining on getting GAJ but losing overall by keeping AMT.
I'm of course assuming current averages will stay the same but even if GAJ increases I think AMT will decrease too.
And I won't have enough trades to get rid of him either.
I'd rather keep Libba than AMT.
Cheers for the idea though, if I had 3-4 more trades then it would be worth looking at.

    The Ranger · 15/06/2016 at 23:30

Nice plan Polo. Think you've nailed it. Fingers crossed on the injuries eh?!

    Derek · 16/06/2016 at 09:51

i would bring in Phillips this week instead of Rose. Make you more cash and save a trade in round 15.

    Dean · 16/06/2016 at 21:56

At this stage I would consider Libba a premo and worthy of a M8 all day long, if any of you are considering Parker as a premo then Libba is definitely a premo. Libba's lowest score was 70 in round 6 after that his next lowest score is 82 with a season average of !00 thus far.

Kerridge is not a premo at all, not even close to being a premo this year, however with bugger all trades left you may as well keep him coz your screwed with just 4 trades post byes, I thought I was light with 8 trades after byes but i feel better now.

pete · 15/06/2016 at 22:05

shaw bartel rance adams DBJ collins; ruggles brand
danger ablett pendles sheil hanners libba priddis ablett; dunkley davis kennedy
gawn goldy; wyatt
dusty wells zorko kerridge barlow petraca ; cox atm
this is my team ranked 382 18 trades been going back and forth all day lol im going trengrove for sure only got 38300 in the bank at moment first 2 byes any suggestions would be appreciated never been ranked so high with 18 trades im sweating lol

Rocket · 15/06/2016 at 22:20

Surely Hombsch replaces Austin after their bye, you'd be trading him in for 1 game IMO. Stewart probs won't get named and nor will Rose if Papley is fit.

    Steeeve · 16/06/2016 at 11:50

Possible but Port is underside right through its back line. Austin could work with Hombsch. Paul Stewart should be the player dropped for Honesty imo.

      The Ranger · 16/06/2016 at 11:58

Jonas and Carlile are still out for a while.

      Powerage · 16/06/2016 at 12:09

As a port supporter I hope that is the case !

Luviboy1 · 15/06/2016 at 22:23

Impeccable job as always Lek.

Team going into byes is:
DEF: Shaw, Simmo, Laird, Bartel, Collins, DBJ (AMT, Brand)
MID: Danger, Pendles, Steven, Gaz, Ward, Gray, Libba, Smith (Keays, Hewett, Petracca)
RUCK: Goldy, Gawn (Loersch)
FWD: Zorko, Joey, Barlow, Hall, Wingard, Kerridge (Wyatt, Adams)

17 Trades 50k, plan is:
This week:
Out: Smith, Hewett, Keays.
In: Gibson, Austin, Trengove

Next week:
Out: DBJ and AMT/Adams
In: Hanners and Phillips/Any other good looking rook.

Leaving one spot in defence from full premo (w/ Libba M8, Kerridge F6 who will be swapped for premos in due time) which will be for the Dochter or Boyd. Thoughts/Suggestions?

Nicholas · 15/06/2016 at 22:30

Merret, deledio or Joey as my last forward

    Luviboy1 · 15/06/2016 at 22:33

Lids highest ceiling. Expect a 100-105 avg here on out.

    'Don't Blush Baby' · 15/06/2016 at 22:37

By Joey do you men Leigh Mont?

    Dasha · 15/06/2016 at 23:18

i reckon lids, he's one of the best plays in the comp when in form

    Derek · 16/06/2016 at 09:41

Lids will be joining my team next week.

TRIGGER HAPPY · 15/06/2016 at 22:40

I know I should go dog dog to goldy but that knee has me a bit worried.
Mummy has popped up on my radar $150k cheaper and what a run of games going forward…
Dons, blues, pies, lions, port, tiges, gc. Wow.
$150k saved means I could bring in another premo defender and push adams to d7 as backup instead of d6.

I know I should go dog dog to goldy but ….

    ToneStar · 16/06/2016 at 09:26

I'm in the same boat… So tempting with Goldie being iffy…

    Derek · 16/06/2016 at 09:40

i'm worried about that knee as well, plus norf's run of games.

i like Jacobs as a POD. Mummy won't let you down either

Cozza · 15/06/2016 at 22:41

Boyd, Rance or Gibson as my last defender? Currently have Shaw, Docherty, Simpson, Laird and Bartel.

    Rance

    flex350 · 16/06/2016 at 01:32

min0008 · 15/06/2016 at 23:01

Going Nic Nat to Gawn and Smith to Trengove but undecided whether to go Menadue to Rose or Byrne to Austin? Also should I hold Dahlhaus as I have 15 trades before making any.

    CaPtKaOs · 15/06/2016 at 23:37

Im in similar position and will do the first 2 trades same as you. That will give me 19 starters. Menadues price isnt moving and I have him on my mid bench. Hoping Phillips will get more games after the pies bye this week. Planning to bring him in on the bubble to replace Menadue and use his dpp to keep the mid/fwd swing alive.

CaPtKaOs · 15/06/2016 at 23:53

Buddy is 467k and has BE of 156. Could drop under 450k after this week and then have his bye. It could burn me, but that is starting to look like really good value. Any thoughts on how Tippet being out could affect him?

    Saundo · 16/06/2016 at 07:25

Bargain for that price and good POD !

    jezzahill · 16/06/2016 at 14:51

Buddy was getting the number one defender anyway so it probably won't affect his one-on-one match up too much. In saying that though, they may well look for him going forward even more than they have been, which makes him easy to double team.

Why not · 15/06/2016 at 23:57

I don't understand Leks comment of not bringing in premise this week. All players only play twice during the byes so why not?
Jelwood and Ward have great BEs this week and are low priced. If the upgrade is there, isn't now as good a week as any?

    Why not · 15/06/2016 at 23:58

    *premos

      Jess_coach · 16/06/2016 at 00:10

Hi the deal with the byes is to be able to trade rookies to premiums at the right time to avoid their byes. For example, rookies with the rd 14 bye (Adams, McDTip, Petracca) can be traded to round 13 bye premiums (who have already had their bye), thus avoiding bye donuts.

Its fine to bring in selwood etc this week, but it would be smarter to look at how many players you have missing each week, and to trade in premiums to suit

        pete · 16/06/2016 at 00:15

        generating cash is the problem

    NutSack · 16/06/2016 at 00:27

true. every year i tank one bye round and every year i rise up through the rankings through the bye rounds AND for the rest of the year.

Planning your team on byes is ridiculous and plain nonsensical to me.

just choose the best players at the best prices. Byes NEVER even cross my mind when trading πŸ™‚

      Why Not · 16/06/2016 at 08:04

Ok, thanks. Good advice all round.
My team looks fairly evenly spread for the byes.
With the trades I have in mind, it'll be at least 19 players and maybe 20 each round.
Nic nat hurts, but I think I'll hold picking a replacement (got m cox for cover after this bye) for now and see where goldy is at the end of his bye.

    Moustachio · 16/06/2016 at 09:29

If there is a bargain that suits your bye structure, bring it in

      Derek · 16/06/2016 at 09:37

this year the byes are later, therefore not as significant. I'm only 2 premiums away from full. Just happens they both get a bye this week and they will be in team next week.

my weakest round is this week. with NicNat going down, i'll only have 18 onfield, will be a nervous weekend.

BarronVonCrow · 16/06/2016 at 06:08

I'm seriously considering Tom McDonald as an DEF upgrade this week. Only $420K with 5 round avg of 91. Hopefully on his way back to some great form. BE is 64 this week, so might look at him in Round 15 as he'll still likely be in the 450 range then.

    Bolton's Blues · 16/06/2016 at 10:38

Ive considered this aswell, ive only got one spot left in my defence line and still pondering on whom to pick.
It has alot to do with the draw and with melbourne, nothing is for sure with them.

Tommy · 16/06/2016 at 06:35

Hey community, i am stuck as to what trades i should do this week. I have 216k and 15 trades left.
Smith down to Trengove, Tippett to Zorko and Kerridge up to Danger. (Leaves me with 77k)
Smith to Trengove, Tippett up to Danger (Via DPP), Gresham down to Stewart. (Leaves me with just over 350k)
Choice 1 is the better option, as i am getting in 2 ultra premos, but after hearing from Lekdog this round is all about downgrades has got me unsure. What would you guys do?

    Neverweaken · 16/06/2016 at 06:43

Not always downgrades. grab players when you can. This week I've brought in Gibson, Rocky and Stewart. Cheap as they will be and good for my byes

    Derek · 16/06/2016 at 09:23

i still think Zorko is overpriced.

      Clarky · 16/06/2016 at 09:26

So would you downgrade gresham instead? And get Montagna or Lids next week?

        Dasha · 16/06/2016 at 09:57

        id probably go lids

    Derek · 16/06/2016 at 09:57

I doubt Stewart will get named this week. Sam Mitchell will be back, Dyurea as well, Hodge maybe (more likely next week).

Campbell · 16/06/2016 at 08:10

My team right now with 3.8k and 12 trades. (*players with byes this week)
Def: Shaw Rance* Docherty* M Adams McDonald-Tipungwuti Yeo // B Williams Broad*
Mid: Selwood Ablett* Shiel Parker Gray Liberatore J Smith* Hopper // Keays MacPherson* Schoenfeld*
Ruc: Gawn Naitanui // Cox*
Fwd: D Martin* Montagna* Dahlhaus Franklin Wells Kerridge* // Hall* Petracca
Need to trade Dahlhaus and Naitanui because of the injurys and Josh Smith has a break even of 77 but I can't afford to trade him because then I will only have 9 trades left.
Not sure who to get for Naitanui but I was thinking either Mumford or Jacobs.
Dahlhaus: Either Merret, Wingard Or Josh J Kennedy.
Plz help by suggesting players to get or players to trade.
Cheers

    Love SC · 16/06/2016 at 13:23

Mate your team is in massive trouble. I count 4 to 5 upgrades. You should hold Dahlhaus as you have so few trades left.

J Smith should be downgraded to either Trengrove, Jansen or Stewart (pending who is picked) to free up cash.

You could roll the dice in a massive way and trade Nic Nat to Stefan Martin.

Those 2 trades could free up $300k in cash which you can then use on upgrades.

Reasoning of leaving Dahlhaus in your team is because the next 3 wks you are only having to play 18 so not having him scoring potentially wont hurt you as much when there is 22 players scoring. Also due to your lack of trades I dont think you have the luxury of trading him.

    Just my thoughts.

Hall pass? · 16/06/2016 at 08:13

Aaron Hall and Sam Kerridge have the bye this week and I'm struggling to choose which one to trade out.
Kerridge has the higher 3 game average, lower BE and still has cash to make.
On the other hand, after the hawks game, the Suns look to have the easier run home and Hall does well against the lower sides.

    anthdepa · 16/06/2016 at 13:05

Kerridge is going up hill, and Hall seems to just keep going down and I don't believe he has the backing of his coach getting dropped isn't a sign you want to see. On the other hand he did rack up 30 against the reserves?

Clarky · 16/06/2016 at 08:54

Jacobs, Blicavs or Mumford to replace Stef Martin? Leaning towards Jacobs as i am making the trade next week. I already have Goldy but feel as though i need a POD.

    Moustachio · 16/06/2016 at 09:31

If Jacobs can come good he would be a massive pod. #3 points earner across all pos in 2014

Jack · 16/06/2016 at 08:58

Who is everyone getting in for nic nat?

    Kev · 16/06/2016 at 09:13

Goldy or Gaen. Mumford pod. Lycett for those with significant plums

    Derek · 16/06/2016 at 09:21

i'll probably go with Gawn, but i do like Jacobs as a POD especially with Crows run home

    jezzahill · 16/06/2016 at 14:53

Probably Mummy – Giants have a really soft run home and North have the hardest. Reckon Mummy could average more than Goldy in the second half of the season.

      Southern S · 16/06/2016 at 15:50

Big call if Goldy is 100%, I don't think he is 100% mind you.

This Nic Nat trade is probably the most crucial of the season it really sucks lol.

    Coach · 17/06/2016 at 11:43

No takers for Stef Martin ?? Alot of $$$$ to pocket in the trade and he's capable of great scores if he finds form..

Am I a silly? · 16/06/2016 at 10:07

Thoughts community?

I have both Tippett and Nic Nat. Think I'm going to hold Tippett and bring in Gawn for Nic. Just don't think i can burn a trade at this stage, although I still have 14. With any luck he'll only miss 4-5, then I'll still have a good Ruck swing when I need it. Almost 500 k on the pine is a bit sad but last week stuffed me!

    jezzahill · 16/06/2016 at 14:54

Not a crazy idea. I've held Robbie Gray and Rory Laird through their injuries. Sometimes holding hurts in the short term but benefits you long term

    Coach · 17/06/2016 at 11:45

    Nic Nat will miss 8.

Blake · 16/06/2016 at 10:14

Who to trade in for KK?

Thoughts greatly appreciated

    Rivo · 16/06/2016 at 11:02

Blake, this week a little tricky. I would wait for next week and then get Docherty, Laird, Rance. If it must be this week, maybe Bartel or Gibson?

      Blake · 16/06/2016 at 11:57

      Thanks I already have Docherty.

    john · 16/06/2016 at 12:47

Crap team give up on your super coach its just terribl

      Blake · 16/06/2016 at 12:48

john how would you know what my team is.

    Love SC · 16/06/2016 at 13:26

If you by any chance have Bailey Williams in your midfield you could loop him to your backline and trade KK down to a Trengrove or Stewart. That's my plan with KK.

Dice · 16/06/2016 at 10:22

is it worth holding Naitanui till after bye rounds if you have 18 on field for all byes?

    Daz · 16/06/2016 at 12:16

You should trade asap as holding him won't win leagues or give points.

    jezzahill · 16/06/2016 at 14:56

No, as you're having to most likely include a rookie score in your 18-player score as opposed to a premo score like NicNat. He's a must trade this week.

    Southern S · 16/06/2016 at 15:48

It depends, Personally I'm waiting to see what happens with Goldstein.

If Goldy is rested this week many will jump on Mumford/Jacobs etc.

After the Byes Goldy might be back to full health and pumping out 120+ every week so I'd rather wait as I have enough players to cover.

    Southern S · 16/06/2016 at 15:48

I'd really like to know more details on what's going on with his knee.

      Coach · 17/06/2016 at 11:45

North are not going to tell us that unfortunately

Derek · 16/06/2016 at 10:28

my team.

Shaw, Bartel, BSmith, Rich, Laird, McVeigh (lee, Collins)

Dangerfield, Ablett, Pendlebury, JPK, Priddis, RGray, Rockliff, Trengove (Davis, Gresham, Joyce(DPP))

Gawn, Blitz (wyatt)

Dusty, Montagna, Buddy, Barlow, Wingard, Petracca (McGovern, Menadue)

Already traded NicNat to Gawn & JSmith to trengove. Have $180k in bank and 14 trades left.

Plan was to upgrade Davis to Sloane, McGovern to Lids, Gresham to Phillips next week, but i'm about $120k short to do that and i only have 17 on field this week. So i need to make one more trade this week to free up $120k and have 18 on field this week.

Menadue must get the chop this week (can't believe i still have him), who to trade him to as he is only $226k? or do i go someone cheaper than Trengove to get the extra cash, maybe Maitherson if named?, but still need to trade menadue to someone?

cash has been so hard to generate this year

    Rivo · 16/06/2016 at 11:05

Derek, ave you looked at Rose from Sydney? If he plays, he is only $155k

      Derek · 16/06/2016 at 11:47

not a bad option, he should play this week. Trade menadue will give me $70k. I could do that and then upgrade Petracca to lids.

    The Ranger · 16/06/2016 at 11:21

I had a very similar problem Derek and have chosen to get Stewart instead of Trengrove.
It's not ideal but I place more weight on sticking to my planned trades.

      Derek · 16/06/2016 at 11:48

not sure Stewart will get a game with Sammy back this week. the extra cash saved will let me do what i wanted next week.

I'm thinking maitherson will get a game this week, so might jump on him

        Shake n bake · 16/06/2016 at 12:21

Just go with 17 maybe this week?

          Derek · 16/06/2016 at 13:06

nice score last week Shake. Your're doing well in the rankings, keep it going mate.

        The Ranger · 16/06/2016 at 12:30

I can afford Mathieson if Stewart isn't named but can't afford Trengrove.

        Redgumwon · 16/06/2016 at 12:36

I agree Derek. I also think Maitherson will get a game at the expense of Keays who looks like he needs a rest. If so go early on the Gresham trade?

    Daz · 16/06/2016 at 12:37

You'd much prefer Trengove later this season if injuries hit or players rest around SC finals. Worth the extra spend now. I'm not sure if these other upgrades will be playing in 4 weeks time.

Big G · 16/06/2016 at 10:29

What about Jansen? He appears a bit older and big-bodied?

    Kev · 16/06/2016 at 10:52

Don't mind him. Has a shocker last week but showed his ceiling in his first game. Better trade than Stewart imo

jackson tierney · 16/06/2016 at 10:35

hey community i have a few questions regarding my supercoach team. It is my first season so i am not travelling to well so i need a little bit of help. This is my team: i have 114k with 13 trades
M. Adams, H.shaw , laird, E. Yeo, D. Byrne-Jones ,K.simpson ( collins, t lee )
P. Dangerfield, L. Parker, M. Bontempelli, P. Cripps, m bliscavs, J. Polec, J. Smith, R.gray (B.keays, L weller, J Gresham)
N. Naitanui, T. goldstein ( M cox )
A. Hall, L franklin, S. kerridge, J. hogan, J. De Goey, D.wells (T papley, C petracca)

Im thinking of trading out naitanui and putting blicavs into my ruck and trengrove into my midfield. downgarding papley and degoey to hams and rose. the only problem with doing these trades are i would only have 10 trades left and i would have to start petracca. if i did these trades i would have 826k in the bank though. This means in a few weeks i can do many upgrades to my mid and backline.
any help would be much appreaciated

    Derek · 16/06/2016 at 11:50

i don't mind Blitz in the ruck. He is taking up a valuable midfield place.

Banksy · 16/06/2016 at 10:52

Need another downgrade target to bring in for Gresham with good JS this week. Already bringing in Trengove. Stewart, Rose and Austin all seem to have shaky JS. ALso have the option of downgrading T Mckenzie or Brand this week instead of Gresham. Please help!

    Derek · 16/06/2016 at 11:51

i think maitherson will get back in the lions team this week

      The Beard · 16/06/2016 at 17:05

Is Mathierson or Stewart a safer choice?

anthdepa · 16/06/2016 at 10:57

My team right know with 370,800 and 9 trades (I have made 2 trades this week) (J.Smith-K.Stewart R.Davis-J.Trengove)
I have made these trades so next week I Can get rid of Dahlhaus for Bontempelli and Oliver for Pendlebury.
THOUGHTS
(*) Is bye players.
Def – H.Shaw, J.Pittard, AMT, M.Adams, M.Suckling, S.Collins. (K.Simpson*, K.Brand)

Mid – P.Dangerfield, D.Hannebery, J.Selwood, L.Parker, D.Zaharakis, J.Hopper, K.Stewart, J.Trengove. (Kerridge*, C.Oliver, J.Gresham*)

Ruck – Goldstein, Gawn. (D.Currie)

Fwd – D.Martin*, Dahlhaus, S.Motlop, N.Riewoldt, M.Brown, C.Petracca. (D.Gorringe*, N.Kommer.) Would like some feedback πŸ˜‰

    Daz · 16/06/2016 at 12:25

Can't see you completing team with few trades left. I'd move Kommer onto Hams/Rose before R Davis. Trengove a must have this week for JS and possible output.

      anthdepa · 16/06/2016 at 12:40

Cheers Daz appreciate, do you believe Stewart is a must?

@Matr1x23 · 16/06/2016 at 11:22

Hey guys,

I could really use some help from the community. Unfortunately I copped it this weekend with Nic Nat and Tippett both going down. I've only got 13 trades now and $172.6 in the war chest. Not really sure what to do next. Here's my team;

Defence: Shaw, Gibson, Laird, Adams, Byrne-Jones, Byrne (Collins, Lee)

Midfield: Dangerfield, Hannerery, Priddis, Rockliff, Gray, Liberatore, Parker, Cripps (Petracca, Davis, Hopper)

Rucks: Gawn, Nic Nat (Cox)

Forwards: Zorko, Wells, Tippett, Barlow, Martin, Hall (Kerridge, Grimley)

What do you guys think?

    Derek · 16/06/2016 at 11:55

i reckon you have to trade both tippet and nicnat. depends on who you like as replacments whether you trade this week or next.

      Johnny · 16/06/2016 at 22:25

Nic Nat – Jacobs next week / Tippet – Rose this week.

    chandanrajdb · 16/06/2016 at 23:22

Trade Tippet to J Bartel by swinging Adams into FWD line this week and Nic Nat to couple of options for you to consider….

    Safe Option: Goldy…

    Bit Risky Option: S Martin…..

And the 3rd trade if you want to do is Davis to J Trengove…

    Cheers,
    Raj

Saundo · 16/06/2016 at 12:16

Who to trade for Smith and Sumner? Trengove, Stewart or Rose?

Daz · 16/06/2016 at 12:18

Obviously Goldstein is the best trade for NicNat (have Gawn) but with his knee issues is Jacobs/Mumford a safer option and far cheaper?

anthdepa · 16/06/2016 at 12:52

Community I'm tossing and turning weather to play J.Trengove, C.Oliver or K.Stewart. (Note I can only play 2!)

OUT Hall Simpkin Motlop

IN Bontempelli Stewart Hams/Rose

    Daz · 16/06/2016 at 13:02

Sounds good, I can see that working πŸ™‚

anthdepa · 16/06/2016 at 13:15

Guys thoughts on this for a 3rd trade.

Goldstein > Mumford. Mumford is 150k cheaper and has a run of Blues, Pies, Suns, Port, Dons, Lions and Tigers which gives me the option to Upgrade AMT to Docherty or Rance and move Adams to d7. Thoughts? Cheers πŸ˜‰

    Redgumwon · 16/06/2016 at 13:23

I love the big Mummy man but he is a big risk with injury each year. If he goes down it could cost you another trade? I guess it will depend on your team structure and what you want. It doesn't look like you need to upgrade your backline just yet if you're looking at Docherty and Rance to bring in. I personally would be going for Goldy in a week or two when his price drops

      anthdepa · 16/06/2016 at 13:30

Cheers Redgum, Who should I play this week Stewart, Trengove or Oliver? Note I can only play 2!

        Redgumwon · 16/06/2016 at 13:41

I'm going to pay the extra and go for Trengove. He's got a mature body and we know he can play at the top level. Looks to be improving each week IMHO he's worth the extra cash to even have sit on the bench for cover after the byes

Stewart I think will go out once the guns come back. It could even be this weekend now that Mitchell is a confirmed starter and Hodge is mentioned as back next week

Oliver I like but one week you get a good score and the next you an average score like all rookies.

So I'd be putting Trengove on the field and Oliver
