The Round 12 AFL Cheat Sheet

Published by Lekdog on

Supercoach 2016 midpriced forwardsG’day Community,

Straight off the bat my advice is to hold trades this week. Some won’t have that luxury but if you do I recommend it. Round 12 is the worst week to trade in my opinion because anyone you bring in will be missing a week really soon. Obviously rookies like Collins or value picks like Rockliff shouldn’t be ignored if they fit into your bye structures but my general advice is to hold your trades and use around 9 throughout the byes.

Please answer the poll below so I can get an idea of who I’m really writing for and comment any suggestions for the cheat sheet below.

Rockliff – never again.

    Jonathan Camac · 08/06/2016 at 15:54

Joke's on you when he scores 150 this week. Bet you my bottom dollar. Although, he does love a good injury doesn't he…

      Roger · 08/06/2016 at 16:06

Matt Boyd is just as injury prone and look at how many people have him or are brining him in.
SuperCoach is about taking risks, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't
Look at goldstein for example, people bought him right before the Sydney game and look what happened.

        I N Pieman · 08/06/2016 at 16:21

I think if your 14 trades or under with 3 or more upgrades to make then Rocky presents too much risk. If you in a better position than that role the dice

          JamiesNinjas13 · 08/06/2016 at 16:53

Wow Pieman, you just said my exact situation. I have 14 trades left with Walla, J.Smith and Kerridge (all different positions) to upgrade. I will still role the dice on that beast, he always has a strong run in the back half of the season (justified risk). Always planned for Libba to be my M9 anyways so it's ok.

            I N Pieman · 08/06/2016 at 17:09

Your right on the knifes edge James. As long as you get to full premo with 8 trades left (one a week) you should be ok. We all know how dire it gets in the last few weeks. Even though it looks like we are fine now we wont be soon

              JamiesNinjas13 · 09/06/2016 at 10:00

Yeah, I have been caught out a couple times in the past years, just need to relax on that itchy trade finger!!

        Matt · 08/06/2016 at 16:25

Boyd is not injury prone, he is prone to being rested. Rocky has barely played this year and has injured himself 4 times in 2 years. Rocky is a much bigger risk than Boyd.
I don't have either for these reasons

          Roger · 08/06/2016 at 16:40

He gets rested before he has niggling injuries. He played half of 2013 and 19 games in 2014.
Boyd is great value but will miss games but people still picked him.
Rockliff might get injured but if he doesn't and you have him in some for, of captiancy, you can get 300+ from his score.
Wouldn't the risk be worth it if you got over 300 from your caption when your opponents might only get 240-280?

        Matt · 08/06/2016 at 16:43

haha how is matt boyd injury prone? He's just a lil old and gets rested every now and then

          Roger · 08/06/2016 at 17:14

2013 and 2014 ring a bell to you? Oh you didn't do your research. Lol

            Matt · 08/06/2016 at 17:25

I do my research watching him every week as a dogs supporter. 2013 and 2014 he was playing a totally different role with probably a higher risk of injury. Even so he still managed 19 games in 2014 which is a normal amount for a 31 year old.

Another thing to add is that Rocky is a lot younger. Boyd missed a few games in 2013, but he was 30 that year. Always a lot more concerning when it happens to a younger guy

              Roger · 08/06/2016 at 22:12

My point is that even though he played 19 games. He didn't run out a whole season. Which means in SuperCoach you pick Boyd, you have to expect him to miss games.

Age doesn't mean much if you naturally have injuries I.e Sean rusling, Menzel. Look at boomer, he plays a shit load of games a season and his in his late 30s.

Point is you take the risk, Rockliff is of course risky but it's the old quote high risk, high reward. Just look at that bloke who got over 2600 last week having Rockliff as his captain.

                NutSack · 09/06/2016 at 00:44

yeah- and look at the teams that scored 2400+ in round 1…. whats your point?

    Hoot · 08/06/2016 at 19:40

Emotional influences have no place in Supercoach trade decisions.

If he goes BIG and you Don't have him… you're NO Chance to win.

      BKW · 09/06/2016 at 08:28

You could say the same thing if he gets Injured early in a game and you have him… You're no chance to win.

Fair debate on this one, personally I'm not going near him – would much rather a Hanners, Pendles, Neale type to finish my midfield

    NutSack · 09/06/2016 at 00:42

LOL… getting rocky IN??? thats hilarious… that chump will miss another 4 weeks…

the point of SC is to get players who will get you the most points in a year….rockys average doesnt mean anything… what has rocky contributed in the last 5 weeks??? 200 points??? LEL

      The Ranger · 09/06/2016 at 10:00

But Nutsack it's not about who will get you the most points in a year now is it? It was only about that before Rd1.
From here on it's about who will get you the most points in what's left of the year.
Every one seems to be fixated on Rockys injuries but when you look back at the numbers (thanks again to Old Ocker) you find that between 2011 and 2015 he has missed only 3 games, across those 5 years, between Rds15 and 23.
That's 3 games out of a possible 45. And in those 45 games he scored above 120 on no less than 23 occasions.
Those numbers would suggest he has made a habit of coming home strongly and that's why he has to be considered..

        Phil · 09/06/2016 at 10:27

        Beautifully put Ranger!

          The Ranger · 09/06/2016 at 12:23

          Thanks Phil.

    Pman35 · 09/06/2016 at 19:58

Agree 100%, he burned me twice last year and his papers were permanently stamped "never again". Yes he may smash out some big scores but he's just as likely to break down again.

Tommo09 · 08/06/2016 at 15:33

    CDawes · 08/06/2016 at 15:49

I did the exact same trade Rocky for J Smith as I'm short during pies bye round and he wont make much more cash anyway, Brown for collins no explanation needed

    Tommo09 · 08/06/2016 at 16:32

    Upgrading from
    DBJ, Adams, AMT
    Kerridge, Hall/Barlow

He Man · 08/06/2016 at 15:44

What to do if I already have Collins but need to trade Dea?

    I N Pieman · 08/06/2016 at 16:24

    Upgrade him

    DankMemes · 08/06/2016 at 18:48

id keep him for the bye round upgrade after round 13.

Alex · 08/06/2016 at 15:44

I have 15 after this weeks trades

    Steeeve · 08/06/2016 at 17:10

21 but making two this week. Will leave me three players away from full premo with plenty of premo to super premo upgrades possible.

      Bomber56 · 08/06/2016 at 17:42

16 for me, thinking of getting Rocky and Collins in this week

      NutSack · 09/06/2016 at 00:46

you must have a pretty lax definition of premo if you reckon youve got 19 premos with 19 trades left

        D-Train · 10/06/2016 at 03:11

Either that or he nailed each of his initial premium picks.

Blake · 08/06/2016 at 15:45

AMT and Oliver OUT
S.Collins and Hannebery IN

    marcus · 08/06/2016 at 16:45

cant go wrong with hanners good call

      Blake · 08/06/2016 at 21:02

    Beezneez · 08/06/2016 at 18:09

I'm tossing up between Rockliff and Hannebery for Hewett or J Smith for my my second trade after trading in Collins for either McGovern or AMT. I have 18 trades left so risk with Rocky not too great. Also thinking it may be better to get Hannebery in round 15 after his bye – gives me the option of trading for T Greene (bye rnd 15) and A Hall if they keep spudding it up or Kerridge. Also looking at M Boyd for the same reason (after bye round).

    LEKD0G · 08/06/2016 at 20:39

    Don't hate it

Roger · 08/06/2016 at 15:45

Had Rockliff back in 2013 before anyone knew much about him.
Won me so many matches.
Was going to pick him up last week but had to get rid of Hartley and brown first.
Bought him in this week and it's a risk but every time I have had him, his paid off.

Wingard is a cherry picker who isn't realible, don't get sucked in to his tons, when his nullified, his very ordinary.
Martin holders should hold, he didn't even had a bad game last week. Majak isn't consistent. I'd rather stick with Martin or even gorringe over Majak.

    Southern S · 08/06/2016 at 18:29

Yeah wouldn't touch Majak as soon as Goldy is 100% he's gone.

Luviboy1 · 08/06/2016 at 15:46

Brilliant job Lek. Im of the same opinion on Rocky. Has burnt me one too many times. Besides may have to trade in ruck cover for Goldy who is uncertain to play this week against Geelong.

    LEKD0G · 08/06/2016 at 20:39

Doesn't look like he'll play does it

HOLLA · 08/06/2016 at 15:49

Why wouldnt you trade Lek. Ive made two downgrades in preparation to go bang bang!

    Cherry · 08/06/2016 at 15:51

Downgrade to who? Collins would be one but whose the other?

      clubber lang · 08/06/2016 at 16:47

      mathieson perhaps

    LEKD0G · 08/06/2016 at 20:39

Can downgrade three times next week, wouldnt bring in a premo next week

      Beezneez · 09/06/2016 at 11:39

      That's my plan.

Tommy · 08/06/2016 at 15:57

Wanting to get rid of Stef Martin. Do it now or wait till he has his bye?

    Rick Grimes · 08/06/2016 at 16:29

Stef is gonna explode this week. 120+ Mark my words.

      Steeeve · 08/06/2016 at 17:14

      Yep him and Dawson.

      Jonathan Camac · 24/06/2016 at 14:43

Rick Grimes, your words were marked. You sir, are a boss.

    LEKD0G · 08/06/2016 at 20:41

Price is projected to bottom out next week so there may be no harm in holding but you will be missing out on points by not having a premo ruckman

    Rocksta · 08/06/2016 at 23:36

Depends whom you are trading him too.
Goldy and Nic Nat are under injury clouds, so you probably wouldn't consider them this week. If going to Gawn, then okay as he has his bye in Rd 14 and thus you'll get 2 weeks of Premo scoring in beforehand.
If going to Goldy, make the trade next week as Martin would have bottomed out and Goldy has the Rd 15 bye so 2 weeks of good scoring.

marcus · 08/06/2016 at 16:17

trade josh smith to tippet instead of rockliff if nat nui is out?

    marcus · 08/06/2016 at 16:25

I changed my mind id rather take the 0 tippet has mumford gawn his bye then bulldogs

      azza · 08/06/2016 at 16:34

exactly! hopefully will go back under 500k and can pick him up post byes as back up

        marcus · 08/06/2016 at 16:43

should probably hold only got 13 trades

      Beagz · 08/06/2016 at 16:47

After the way he performed against Goldy, I would actually back tippet to outscore Mumford and Gawn.

        marcus · 08/06/2016 at 18:11

all of his 70s and 60s are against ruckman like Jacobs, goldy, nat nui and mumford

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 09/06/2016 at 10:00

If u have nic Nat and gawn don't trade in Tippett as u r effectively trading in no ruck cover during the byes as the all have the Rd 14 bye.

      Rooster XXX · 09/06/2016 at 10:20

Ruck cover is not relevant in the byes as it is best 18 scoring players in any position.

BiggySc · 08/06/2016 at 16:29

Can I afford to hold Hewett and brown, then trade them in next round instead?

    Kev · 08/06/2016 at 16:38

Depends if they play. Both have high breakevens and will lose cash

    Steeeve · 08/06/2016 at 17:17

Hewett I'm holding but hoping he has the week off

Aussie Might · 08/06/2016 at 16:37

Am upgrading Benken this week.
Should i go to dalhaus or tippet who can serve as F6 and ruck cover.
FWD is currently: Zorko, Martin, Hall, Wells, Barlow, Kerridge, Kennedy, Petracca

    ToneStar · 08/06/2016 at 18:36

I'm looking at bringing Tippet in as cover for ruck. He looks like a top 10 forward this year…

    Tommo · 08/06/2016 at 18:42

I would be doing Tippet, handy F6 with Ruck cover capabilities.

    LEKD0G · 08/06/2016 at 20:44

I actually prefer Scott Lycett, has been consistent whereas Tippet has over performed against teams with poor ruck stocks

Shake n bake · 08/06/2016 at 16:41

Barlow to tag Rocky??

    I N Pieman · 08/06/2016 at 17:14

Nope. He will tear Rich a new one. And he won't be first or last. I can't wait to trade Daniel Shit

    LEKD0G · 08/06/2016 at 17:25

Will go to Rich just like Curnow last week. Expect a decent game from Rocky

duffman4499 · 08/06/2016 at 16:50

Who should I get in? Selwood or rocklif or Ablett?

    HPPH · 08/06/2016 at 17:11

Selwood is the safer pick. If you looking for a reliable player that will score over 100 most weeks than choose Selwood but if your looking for an explosive pick player that could score 170's but be inconsistent go with Rockliff. It's whether you prepared to take the risk of injury or not.

      50_Shades · 08/06/2016 at 18:36

I'll tell you Rockcliff. I've had Selwood lined up for two weeks for this round and I think I'm going rocky instead and Selwood next week.

It's a risk, but it's exciting… Tears or beers come Sunday.

        50_Shades · 08/06/2016 at 18:38

And I already have Ablett… Actually if you don't have Ablett.. Nah wait on Ablett, he's got the first bye round.

        @an3vilmonk3y · 08/06/2016 at 21:29

I'm doing exactly this. I've got too many out heading into 1st round bye so I'll need to trade in next week too, so I'm looking at Rocky as an investment who should pick up $100k at worst (if he hits 105 this week, then his b/e next week is a measly 5). Selwood is cheap at the moment, but should only go up by $15k ish this week. Both have rd 15 bye which I'm stacked for anyway.

Risk it for the biscuit etc…

    duffman4499 · 08/06/2016 at 17:59

    Oooooh yeah

wombatsfc · 08/06/2016 at 17:19

Majak Seriously? Don't the hoppers just use him as a ruck emergency? I doubt he'll get a game with Goldstein fit

    I N Pieman · 08/06/2016 at 17:25

Wombats. I see the blues are up & about & you've come out of your hole. Like the rest of them. Agree on Majak. He's backup trade bait

    LEKD0G · 08/06/2016 at 17:26

That's why I said "if he holds his spot", agree he's a risk but for cheapish ruck/fwd cover he's an option

      Rooster XXX · 09/06/2016 at 10:23

Potentially a good option to handcuff with Goldstein. If you have Goldy and he missed reasonable to expect that Majak wil play in his place and score okay. If I didn't have Goldy in my side wouldn't consider Daw a viable option.

John · 08/06/2016 at 17:34

Trading Mitch Brown for Collins and who should I trade from Daniel Rich and Matthew Wright? If I trade any of those two out I can get any forward or defender I want

    LEKD0G · 08/06/2016 at 17:40

Rich because I think he gets tagged to hell by Barlow this week

      John · 08/06/2016 at 17:53

Fair enough to but who to get in defense? I already have Shaw, Simpson, Laird, DBJ, AMT and of course Rich.

        Could get in Boyd?

          John · 08/06/2016 at 18:06

            John · 08/06/2016 at 18:07

              50_Shades · 08/06/2016 at 18:34

13's not great but it comes down to how many position you have left to fill and really making the trades work for you from hereon. You can't afford to do as much as others through the bye rounds but maybe you don't need to… I hope.

                John · 08/06/2016 at 18:44

Well this Is my team before trades

Def: Shaw, Laird, Simpson, Rich, AMT, DBJ (Brown, Ruggles)

Mid: Danger, Parker, Selwood, Libba, Neale, Sam Mitchell, Pendlebury, Ablett (Snadden,Davis, Mathiseon)

                Ruck: Gawn, Naitanui (Grmiley)

Fwd: zorko, hall, wells, kerridge, wright, petracca (menadue, cox)

Joe_T · 08/06/2016 at 17:40

Blicavs > Goldstein or Brandon Ellis > Danger? Both Blicavs and Ellis expected to leak a heap of cash this week. Blicavs and Goldstein have the same bye so doesn't effect me in terms of bye structure.

    Leeds17 · 08/06/2016 at 17:43

How many trade left and how many up grades to go?

      Joe_T · 08/06/2016 at 17:49

19 trades left before this week, about 5-6 upgrades left in total. Ellis, Libba and J Smith in the mids as upgrades.

I actually traded Blicavs into my team in Round 4/5 thinking he was a potential M8 at worst, but he's been a spud lately. And started with Ellis with the hope that he'd have the breakout season many tipped him to have, but that hasn't paid off either.

        Joe_T · 08/06/2016 at 17:49

EDIT **Sorry I have 17 trades left before this week

          Leeds17 · 08/06/2016 at 18:13

Tricky you'll probably need 10 trades to get to full premo which only leaves you the 5 for injuries, I don't mind the trades, with Blicavs he'll drop this week but once the 50 odd score is out of his cycle he'll even out again so I don't think he's a desperate upgrade maybe wait till after his bye, Could go Ellis to Goldy via Blicavs?

            Joe_T · 08/06/2016 at 19:07

Ellis > Goldy via Blicavs doesn't sound too bad, I think it's probably better to get rid of Ellis before Blicavs considering Ellis has a Round 13 bye, whereas Blicavs is Round 15. No point keeping Ellis for this week and have him drop 30-40k.

Is Goldy a more of a must have than Danger at the moment though? Obviously if Goldy doesn't play this week that question is easier to answer.

Tommo09 · 08/06/2016 at 18:04

Is it bad to be considering the trade Libba to Neale in R14 when Libba has his bye even though Neale has a bye the next week?

    Tommo09 · 08/06/2016 at 18:06

It suits my bye structure too

The Many Faced God · 08/06/2016 at 18:11

Why would you trade a player in who won't play, just silly. Better off getting a Collingwood mid or Sloane who have already had there bye.

      50_Shades · 08/06/2016 at 18:32

      Yes, it's a bad idea.

    Rocksta · 08/06/2016 at 21:39

Vinny · 08/06/2016 at 18:05

if daw is named this week is anyone actually going to bring him in?

    Kev · 08/06/2016 at 18:30

Very unlikely he'd play out the season. He's priced too high to be considered a downgrade

    50_Shades · 08/06/2016 at 18:32

Nope. I've got Gawn and nic nat and my cover is cox from Collingwood – not great but enough for me.

    LEKD0G · 08/06/2016 at 20:46

The great man Ocker brought him in last week

    Rocksta · 08/06/2016 at 21:40

    Wouldn't dream of it.
    Absolute waste of a trade!

    Danners · 08/06/2016 at 21:49

I would contemplate him if Goldstein and/or Nic Nat are out

    MaccasMarvels · 08/06/2016 at 22:22

Not a chance. Nic Nat's sore achilles is making me very nervous too. I made ground on the leading pack who had Goldy due to the donut and can't see how I can afford to have a Nic Nat donut and keep that ground. Tippet as a Fwd is more and more appealing.

GAJ is also appealing, among others. The number of tackles and possessions indicates he's fit and raring. Still well under his opening value too.

The Many Faced God · 08/06/2016 at 18:07

Would you trade Tom Lee in instead of Collins if it fits the byes better? Got a full team for round 13, but only 16/18 for round 1. I don't want to trade out players with a round 15 bye, not bring them in. Does Collins have much higher scoring in him or are they pretty similar.

    Kev · 08/06/2016 at 18:32

Not worth it in the long run.

Beezneez · 08/06/2016 at 18:22

Hi Lekdog, I guess it's a matter of the size allowed for the spreadsheet to fit the page but the chart is very hard to read without increasing the zoom to 150% – Is there any way to make it more readable? (I have a torn retina).

In the early days wasn't it a link that when clicked launched the image in a new window and bigger?

    LEKD0G · 08/06/2016 at 20:48

Hey mate, sorry about the eye that happened to me earlier in the year!

Right click on the chart and click "view image" it'll open up as a much larger image

    red5jc · 09/06/2016 at 08:20

If your on the computer, hold the Ctrl button down and roll the mouse wheel towards you to make the whole screen bigger

    Beezneez · 09/06/2016 at 11:33

Thanks for your help and replies – holding the Ctrl button down and rolling the mouse wheel works for me. Thanks again.

50_Shades · 08/06/2016 at 18:28

I need to keep one of Mitch Brown or Matt Dea this week, I don't want to but I have too.

Which one?

    Waldo · 08/06/2016 at 18:43

Dea. Bank more cash plus on averages he won't lose as much as Brown.

      Waldo · 08/06/2016 at 18:45

Scrap that. Dea loses more dosh. Keep Brown

    LEKD0G · 08/06/2016 at 20:50

    Hold Brown

    breakevens · 08/06/2016 at 21:15

tom · 08/06/2016 at 18:29

Someone tell me who needs to get traded first.

Brown, Kennedy, De Goey

    I N Pieman · 08/06/2016 at 19:16

    Your order is correct

    LEKD0G · 08/06/2016 at 20:50

I still have De Goey too, killing me

    Danners · 08/06/2016 at 21:37

Brown, De Goey, Kennedy. I hear Kennedy should be back this week

      tom · 09/06/2016 at 07:26

Kennedy's high break even worries me though. They all have breakevens around the 100 mark.

Don't Blush Baby' · 08/06/2016 at 18:39

IMO, Brown if he gets named to play , Brown to Collins looks good either way

Mitch · 08/06/2016 at 18:45

Need some advice what to do this week

Team is
shaw docherty simpson bartel laird amt collins dbj
danger pendles ward parker ablett libba hewitt j.smith macpherson dunkley d.cuningham
goldy gawn cox
zorko martin hall kerridge barlow m.adams petracca menadue

17 trades and 173k in bank

Considering holding trades this week or going 1 up/1down but cant see too many rookies with good job security
Thinking Hewitt downgrade and wouldn't mind getting Petracca into m8 till bye rounds and getting 1 of Rocky, Selwood, Gray
not sure how id do this . help!!

thanks community!

Waldo · 08/06/2016 at 18:51

Hearing a lot of trade hold chat. Understand that you're bringing in a guy who'll miss a week but that was the case last round, the round before that and every one previously. If you improve you're team do it. It might get you the win you need or a rise up the ranks. For me if you've got trades use them. This weeks loss could come back to haunt you later. Think the Northern Territory said it best, you'll never never know if you never never go. Keep on tradin'

chris24980 · 08/06/2016 at 19:08

Had Rockliff from the start. Glad I kept him.

    I N Pieman · 08/06/2016 at 19:17

He spent most of last season on my bench as well. But boy of boy what a finish

    Beagz · 09/06/2016 at 11:03

How can you possibly be glad you kept him?
If you traded him out to a similar priced player after round 3 you would be about 500 points better off than you are now….

thembomb · 08/06/2016 at 19:18

Hey guys,

Currently ranked 717th. 15 trades left. 44k in the bank
My team is :

Shaw, Simpson, bartel , Rance, AMT, Adams, O. McDonald, Collins

Danger, Hanners, Ward, Selwood, Ablett. Libba. Priddis Hopper. Smith, Davis, Mcpherson

Nic Nat, Goldy, Grimley

Zorko, Martin, Tippet, Hall, Kerridge , Greene, Petrecca, Mendadue

Any Advice

    I N Pieman · 08/06/2016 at 19:29

Hold. OMac negative BE & so does Collins. Smith & Davis not ready to go & DMacP worth nothing. Same with Grimley. Petrecca not ready to go. Perhaps trade Spudadue to Tom Phillips if he plays if you really want to do something & generate some coin

      LEKD0G · 08/06/2016 at 20:53

I think you can go Menadue to Phillips even if he doesn't play. my Collingwood friends say that he's likely to get some games in the latter half of the year

    thembomb · 09/06/2016 at 08:01

    Thanks boys! Love your work!

Rick · 08/06/2016 at 19:53

Need to downgrade in defence this week and already have S. Collins

Who would you guys reccommed out of Lee, Joyce or Logan Austin, or anybody else you know of??

Thanks community

    Kev · 08/06/2016 at 20:31

Who's your downgrade, Rick? None of them inspire much confidence tbh.

      Rick · 08/06/2016 at 20:40

Dea is, and have no swing anywhere

    LEKD0G · 08/06/2016 at 20:53

    Lee with the Saints injuries

      Rick · 08/06/2016 at 20:55

Thanks lek, hopefully he can find a bit of form too, don't like to see the injuries but boy will they help the mighty blues this week?

        LEKD0G · 08/06/2016 at 21:16

I'm worried about this weekend, I don't like going in expecting to win

Luke · 08/06/2016 at 20:33

My two rucs are Goldstein and mason cox, how long till I should get rid of cox for nit nat or gawn

    LEKD0G · 08/06/2016 at 20:55

Probably until after whichever premo you decide to take has their bye round

LEKD0G · 08/06/2016 at 20:38

I haven't. hasn't scored against any decent teams yet

breakevens · 08/06/2016 at 21:13

Rockliff this is your last bloody chance stuff this one up and never ever again

    Puopolo_Culture · 08/06/2016 at 23:49

I think I said the same thing earlier this season after he stuffed me around last year. Yet here I am again, seriously considering him. I think I may be masochistic.

Dasha · 08/06/2016 at 21:18

is it mor eurgent to upgrade stef martin or trade in rockliff? i definetly want rocky in my team by season's end

    Danners · 08/06/2016 at 21:46

    More important to dump Stef

      Dasha · 08/06/2016 at 22:08

      u reckon goldy or gawn?

TomasR · 08/06/2016 at 21:28

Hey guys!

Wanting to bring Tippet in. Provides good ruck cover and should be a handy F6 option. I am tossing up between 2 players to complete this trade. Greene and Tippa. Who should i do it for and when should i do this? Really need your help!

    Danners · 08/06/2016 at 21:43

AMT, since Greene is a premo

      TomasR · 08/06/2016 at 21:49

True, but i am not sure if i would like a player of that price on the pine.

        marcus · 09/06/2016 at 09:38

can you loophole him with someone

Danners · 08/06/2016 at 21:45

Great work Lek! For the people with the Rockliff dilemma, you could wait a week. If he scores 100, he will only go up $20k

Pinidu · 08/06/2016 at 21:58

I need a bit of help community. I have George Hewett who, as explained by Lek, needs to be traded with a BE of 95. Problem is: I already have S Collins in defence. I'm already upgrading Mills to Ward so I need a downgrade option for Hewett in order to paint the fence. I can use DPP to bring in a FWD rookie if required as well.
Is Jansen my only option?

    @winterjames5 · 08/06/2016 at 22:32

if there is no other rookie you might have to go early on Jansen trengrove or stewart never know could pay off

    Leeds17 · 09/06/2016 at 05:58

Rhys Mathieson should be back soon if its not imperative to your team that this rookie should be playing during the bye rounds.

    Kev · 09/06/2016 at 08:56

Hewett may not play this week. Concussed last week

Sam · 08/06/2016 at 22:14

What to do with Kade Kolodjashnij community? Downgrade to Collins or hold and hope he turns it around?

    Dasha · 08/06/2016 at 22:59

im holding till JJ is back, got bigger problems at hand

    Rocksta · 08/06/2016 at 23:25

I'm holding until I've reached full Premo after the byes.

Rd 16 – 17 Gonesky, unless he turns it around. Can't see it happening though. He's nowhere near it at the minute.

Pete · 08/06/2016 at 22:18

Does Cole from west coast have any job security?
He's cheap and is mid/def eligible

    Mal · 09/06/2016 at 07:05

Probably not, was a late in last week. See if he's named tonight

Will Griggs · 08/06/2016 at 22:23

Community, I can afford ANY midfielder in the competition…currently have Danger, Pendles, Gazza, Priddis and Gray.
WHO should I get?
Hannerbery? Neale? Kennedy? Rockliff?

    Rocksta · 08/06/2016 at 23:19

Tommo05 · 08/06/2016 at 22:55

Goldy in serious doubt again this week

    Rooster XXX · 09/06/2016 at 10:32

No he is not. I would say from the information coming out of the club he is all but guaranteed to play. Was close last week and trained with the main group yesterday. Scott has stated knee is structurally sound and there is no risk of further damage.

Asked whether Goldstein's injury could become an on-going one if he was brought back too soon, Scott said North's medical staff were confident there was little risk of that.

"It's structurally very sound, there's absolutely no problem there," Scott said of Goldstein's knee.

"It's more just pain and function, more function than pain."

He will be playing this week.

Puopolo_Culture · 08/06/2016 at 23:36

I have Smith, Oliver and Hopper in my mids. They all have a BE of 39. Who is best to trade out?

    Rocksta · 08/06/2016 at 23:49

Trade Smith to Jansen next week. Smith will make another 10-15K, has the rd 13 bye, and you get another look at Jansen before his price rise.

      Puopolo_Culture · 09/06/2016 at 00:02

I should have mentioned I am looking at trading one of them out as I am toying with getting in Rocky, though keeping an eye on Jensen is a good idea. Though if I do trade in Rocky, I will then have two Brissy players in my mids.

pete · 08/06/2016 at 23:58

opinion please is d.wells in the top 6 fwds this year

    Chandos · 09/06/2016 at 00:26

    100% if he stays fit

      pete · 09/06/2016 at 00:38

      i think 2 chandos

    Joe_T · 09/06/2016 at 00:28

If he stays on the park, yes. F5 at best but a very handy F6. If he gets injured as is expected at some point during the year, then obviously no.

      pete · 09/06/2016 at 00:37

joe every player can be expected to get injured lol

        Joe_T · 09/06/2016 at 10:36

Wells more so because of his history. I think most people had him as a starter with the intention of upgrading him to a "premo". He just had to make enough money before getting injured.

But he's actually scoring pretty well and hasn't suffered a major injury yet so may turn out to be a keeper.

Lids dusty zerrett zorko dahl and montagna should all finish above wells though.

uDonkey · 09/06/2016 at 06:06

Def: Shaw, Simpson, Gibson, Laird, Rich, Adams (Ruggles, Collins)
Mid: Danger, Hannebery, Priddis, Gray, Ward, Libba, Wells, Kerridge (Davis, Williams, Mathieson)
Ruc: Goldy, NicNat (Cox)
Fwd: Dalhaus, Zorko, Barlow, Hall, Wingard, Pretacca (Rioli, Grimley)

Team is getting close to Premium players
3 playing Rookies :- Adams, Kerridge, Petracca
3 (5) mid pricer :- Rich, Hall, Wingard (Libba) (Wells)

Looking to bring in two these players after Rnd 13

My corncern at the moment, I have 14 trades left. Am I really low on trades at this time of the season or is it just ok considering i have only 3 to 5 players left to upgrade.

Thoughts opinions appreciated.

Tommy · 09/06/2016 at 07:18

Got 2 options this week for my second trade.
Option 1: Stef Martin to Gawn/NicNat
Option 2: Tippa to Tippet.
If Goldy is out, i will definitely do the second trade. But which trade should i do? I want Tippet to be my F6 for the rest of the season and option 2 means tracca will be on the bench.

Chuboi · 09/06/2016 at 09:25

H. Shaw, K. Simpson, J. Bartel, M. Adams, R. Laird, M. Brown (T. Ruggles, K. Brand)
P. Dangerfield, D. Hannebery, S. Pendlebury, C. Ward, J. Selwood, G. Ablett, T. Liberatore, M. Priddis (J. Smith, R. Davis, J. Dunkley)
T. Goldstein, S. Martin (C. Loersch)
A. Hall, S. Kerridge, D. Wells, M. Barlow, B. Deledio, C. Petracca (B. Kennedy, D. Howard)

Thoughts on the above team? Got 15 trades left and not sure whether to hold my trades or trade someone like mitch brown out due to his high break even to sam collins.

    marcus · 09/06/2016 at 09:39

trade brown to Collins and maybe stef martin to gawn

    Kev · 09/06/2016 at 09:43

Definitely do the Collins trade. Brown has already lost 22k after peaking at 312k, he's only gonna leak more cash. With the cash made from that trade you could look at upgrading BK

John · 09/06/2016 at 09:45

This is my team atm. Am definitely trading brown out for Collins. Just not sure if I should do a second trade. If I do do a second trade it will be to get Daniel Rich to Matt Boyd. The problem is that if I do trades this week I'll only have 13 left and idk if that's enough to last me the rest of the season.
Well this Is my team before trades

Def: Shaw, Laird, Simpson, Rich, AMT, DBJ (Brown, Ruggles)

Mid: Danger, Parker, Selwood, Libba, Neale, Sam Mitchell, Pendlebury, Ablett (Snadden,Davis, Mathiseon)

Ruck: Gawn, Naitanui (Grmiley)

Fwd: zorko, hall, wells, kerridge, wright, petracca (menadue, cox)

    davo · 09/06/2016 at 10:02

Not much point getting rid of rich because you have two other rookie upgrades in defence to do first, with only 13 trades you should just ride the rich rollercoaster this year, I am and have learnt no rich next year as a lesson.

      John · 09/06/2016 at 15:34

      Yeah fair enough

    The Ranger · 09/06/2016 at 10:04

13 is a tad low eh John? I'd hold until after the byes if I were you.
    Nice midfield by the way.

      John · 09/06/2016 at 15:34

      Thanks mate

Dave · 09/06/2016 at 09:45

I'd downgrade brown to Collins and upgrade Kennedy

Big M · 09/06/2016 at 10:15

Can't decide which premo – all the following are in my $$ budget of 535,000

    Mieky · 09/06/2016 at 11:22

    Take your pick

Ethan · 09/06/2016 at 10:36

Do I go smith to Rockliff or wait a week then trade in Jansen for smith

    Tommo · 09/06/2016 at 10:49

Smith still has money to make. Maybe try another rookie?

    Ketut · 09/06/2016 at 11:26

I see the temptation to bring in rocky because he is potentially 150k underpriced. However, Jansen/Trengrove may be 200k+ underpriced plus you'll make a little extra on Smith.

Mikey · 09/06/2016 at 11:12

What are the options for captains this week community?

I'm thinking Garry Ablett against Richmond ?

    Kev · 09/06/2016 at 11:55

Has a bonkers record against the Tiges, played them 9 times for a low of 120.

Liking Goldy as vc if he gets up, averages 142 in his past 3 against the cats

      I N Pieman · 09/06/2016 at 11:57

Rocky not bad in his last couple against Freo

        The Ranger · 09/06/2016 at 12:22

VC on Rocky, C on Ablett, loopholing MacPherson.

Redgumwon · 09/06/2016 at 11:28

The AFL site has a report on Mitchell & Gunston both big chances to miss this week. Lot's of coaches with Mitchell could now be big chances to get on the Rocky train?

@winterjames5 · 09/06/2016 at 11:33

100k in the bank thoughts/advice for my team

DEF: Shaw, Docherty, Laird, Enright, Byrne, S.Collins (Ruggles, Tucker)
MID: Dangerfield, Hannebery, Ablett, Ward, Shiel, Priddis, Zieball, Lewis (Hewett, Davis, Gresham)
RUCK: Gawn, NicNat (Lorensch)
FWD: Dahlhaus, Martin, Boomer, Hall, Kerridge, Tipungwuti (Petracca, Wyatt)

    Kev · 09/06/2016 at 11:46

No issues I can see. You could hold this week and look at bringing in Jansen when he's n the bubble

Domich · 09/06/2016 at 11:39

To trade or hold the man himself Grant Birchall?

    marcus · 09/06/2016 at 11:55

I'm holding until simpson has his bye then ill upgrade him to simpson

cashcows · 09/06/2016 at 12:19

94k in the bank 16 trades left

Shaw, Doc, Simpson, DBJ, Laird, BROWN | Collins, Brand
Danger, Hanners, Ward, Ablett, Libba, Priddis, Gray, Smith | Davis, Dunkley, Macpherson
Gawn, Goldy | Grimley
Zorko, Dahl, Hall, Kerridge, Wells, Greene | Petracca, Wyatt

Went early on Collins, now I don't know what to do with Brown. Thoughts community?
Brown -> Lee due to saints injuries maybe?

Micky · 09/06/2016 at 12:37

community, i have 14 trades left with 30k in the bank
now i have sam mitchell who is in doubt to vs essendon, if he is out is it worth downgrading ruggles to another rookie so i can trade mitchell to rocky?
Plus is there any downgrade options in defence besides collins as i already have?

Reece · 09/06/2016 at 14:11

What to do with bloody Toby Greene?

    Tommo · 09/06/2016 at 15:54

I have the same Dilemma. I'll probably upgrade him as one of my last trades for full premo. He still goes big, but is inconsistent. Not an urgent trade.

      Reece · 10/06/2016 at 09:16

Agree 100% – he is so frustrating though. Goes large one week and then gives away 8 free kicks and has 10 clangers…..or just has a quiet day. Likewise I will hold and upgrade him to ultra premium just before GWS bye.

Knackerbags · 09/06/2016 at 22:49

Hello kind Community,
I need a little help, I am stuck with Papley and Grimley as my bench in the forward line, Grimly because he was a cheap DPP player (so much for that). Paps is worth $286.000 and I have $196,000 and 18 trades.
I am looking for a cheap trade down player and then hang onto the cash for the byes and thereafter.
Midfield looks okay with Danger, Ablett, Rocky, Wells, Zorks, Priddis, Libber, Martin, Parker and Kerridge.
Any cheap forward or forward/mid would be appreciated.
Thanks .
