Jock is visited once again by the Fantasy Gods who offer him up the Rockliff temptation.

In this casting of the pod we also ….

  • Argue quite a lot! I’ll blame Higgo. He was like some sort of caged antisocial poorly dressed lion in this episode. It got willing but we got there in the end.
  • We hear form you – The Community on The Rockliff decision.
  • We discuss the upcoming BYES and the best way to approach them.
  • Quantum Team MechanicsWayno, Fantasy News Daily …. and HEAPS MORE!

Congratulations to this week’s $1000 Winner!!

The Hoff for PM · 07/06/2016 at 15:27

Opinions on best forward line POD?
I'd love "The Hoff" in my side

    @winterjames5 · 07/06/2016 at 16:00

i rate the hoff would love to see him in my lineup but there are better options out there if you spend the extra 50k

    Wattsieesq · 07/06/2016 at 16:05

Jeremy Howe. In 3.4% of teams and tearing it up. Other than that, Roo or Gunston would be my POD picks.

      Trev · 07/06/2016 at 16:16

Howe may not even play this week

        Moustachio · 07/06/2016 at 17:30

I hear Goldie is a late out too

    Patch · 07/06/2016 at 17:39

Had an eye on the Hoff, but he's Port's Mr Fix It. He has a stretch where he plays off half back and averages 100, and then he gets plonked at FF to give up two 50s. With Port's backline in disarray he'll play up the field but I'm not confident enough to bring him in. Would prefer Howe (assuming he plays)

      Derek · 07/06/2016 at 18:13

Rioli. The day he has 30 disposals he will break SC record

Cyril never had more than 29 touches

The Hawks will come home strong

        Southern S · 07/06/2016 at 20:45

Unreliable, will enjoy the day when he breaks an SC record but I doubt he'll be in my team to truly enjoy it. 🙂

    Danners · 07/06/2016 at 18:19

Gunston would be a reliable POD

      Southern S · 07/06/2016 at 18:58

      Agreed.

    jezzahill · 07/06/2016 at 19:57

Gunston also a good selection. Had a good 5-6 weeks

    Moustachio · 07/06/2016 at 20:01

Hoff has been a Top8 fwd last 2 years. Solid pickup for the price and huge pod.

Tommo09 · 07/06/2016 at 15:36

Def: Shaw, Adams, Docherty, Laird, Tippa, DBJ, (Brown, Byrne)
Mid: Danger, GAJ, Parker, Pendles, Hannebery, Libba, Priddis, Hopper (Keays, Smith, McPherson)
Ruc: Goldy, NicNat (Grimley)
Fwd: Martin, Franklin, Barlow, Hall, Wells, Kerridge (Kennedy, Petracca)

Keays and Kennedy for Collins and Rocky via DPP
Or
Smith and Brown for Collins and Rocky

    @winterjames5 · 07/06/2016 at 16:02

option 1as smith is going better than keays as he is showing that he can go 70-80 each week and benken not playing would get rid of him and then get rid of brown after his bye

    Wattsieesq · 07/06/2016 at 16:10

Smith and Keays both have money to make. If I was getting rid of one, it would be Smith, only because Keays is more bye friendly.

    Tommo09 · 07/06/2016 at 20:31

I have way too many rookies on field for my team don't I
    17 trades and $76k

      D-Train · 08/06/2016 at 00:57

I don't think you're too far off it to be honest.
8-9 trades to full premo, with the other 8-9 for injuries / late upgrades.

@winterjames5 · 07/06/2016 at 15:41

thinking of going Hewett to Rockliff moving jordan Lewis to M9 thoughts?

    Kev · 07/06/2016 at 17:44

Don't mind it if you've got a DPP amongst those nice. Otherwise having a premo on the pine is a waste

    Danners · 07/06/2016 at 17:54

If you are full premo, good trade

    Jake · 07/06/2016 at 19:00

Good if you have D. McPherson, as you'll be able to loophole every week.

    NutSack · 08/06/2016 at 00:48

hahahahaha so many noobs getting rocky in… i love it!!!! ahh what a waste of trades!!!

Gibbs · 07/06/2016 at 15:41

Do I trade in Rance or simpson? And should I hold on getting them in as they have a bye next week, dispite not really being affected by the round 13 bye?

    @winterjames5 · 07/06/2016 at 16:03

i would go Simpson over Rance you just know what you get with Simpson and yes hold and get after there bye

    Danners · 07/06/2016 at 17:54

Simpson if you don't have Docherty

      annoying old lady · 07/06/2016 at 20:35

I have both, and I'm a very happy man.

    Chuck · 07/06/2016 at 22:30

Definitely Simpson over Rance. I would until after their round 13 bye to bring either in, however if it fits your bye structure then by all means go for it!

Millicent · 07/06/2016 at 15:44

I am going Smith (who has made me $200k and has a little upside left) and Brown for Collins and Rocky. Have 19 trades left and if Rocky stuffs up I believe I have enough trades to counteract. This is fun and I bet many get Rocky in this week,

    @winterjames5 · 07/06/2016 at 16:04

solid trades hopefully rocky stay on the park and score like he did in 2014

    Kev · 07/06/2016 at 17:47

    Still plenty left in Smith.

      lachlanmcleanportfolio · 07/06/2016 at 17:58

      not plenty.. probably max 20-30k

Jacko · 07/06/2016 at 15:55

thoughts on Suckling fellas?

    @winterjames5 · 07/06/2016 at 16:06

personally i think he isnt the worst option for a D6/D7 or FWD swingman 397k probably wont see him much cheaper Avg 94 if you take out his injury affected 17 but my main concern is what role will he play when JJ is back

      Jacko · 07/06/2016 at 16:14

it's for D6, upgrade from Dea.

        The Ranger · 07/06/2016 at 16:19

        He's tempting but he hasn't averaged 90+ since 2011.
Maybe his role is different with the Dogs and he'll be more consistent but that's only a maybe.

          Chill · 07/06/2016 at 16:38

He was sub so often at Hawthorn, and his scores are pretty decent considering. I dont think looking at his average over the past few years at hawthorn is a true indication of his abilities.

    Neverweaken · 07/06/2016 at 16:25

Had him since the start. Was about to trade when Murph went down. If you take out injuries his scores are good. At least D6

    Patch · 07/06/2016 at 17:39

I've got him and good grief am I glad I held him. Think he's a ripping pick.

    Danners · 07/06/2016 at 18:20

If you are low on trades and cash, go for it

    azza · 08/06/2016 at 00:03

JJ wont be back playing AFL for another 6-8 weeks IMO.
getting him this week, best case d6, worst case d7/f7

      Southern S · 08/06/2016 at 00:11

Says 3 weeks on the injury list, so maybe 4-5 at worst?

The GOAT · 07/06/2016 at 15:56

"I'm a conversative fantasy footballer" haha you're the best Jock

tom · 07/06/2016 at 16:00

What to do with De Goey?

    I N Pieman · 07/06/2016 at 16:11

Time DeGoey Jordan. I cashed him in last week at peak

    tom · 07/06/2016 at 16:23

Whos the best option? Have Zorko, Hall, Barlow. Thinking Deledio or Martin?

      Crowmagnon · 07/06/2016 at 16:29

      Dahl is 519k this week.

      james · 07/06/2016 at 16:32

check your bye structure and pick the best option but if your byes are covered i'd go

Dahlhaus, Lids, JJk (has crows,Lions, bombers next 3), Martin, Merret are mine but in order i'd go

      1, Dusty
      2 Dahlhaus
      3 Deledio
      4 Merret
      5 JJK

    Danners · 07/06/2016 at 18:20

    Billioux · 07/06/2016 at 22:51

went last week to the Chad,Bye depended must go, served purpose

Bellzebub · 07/06/2016 at 16:12

Looking forward to the CK Thursday stay at home game. As someone in Sydney and with young kids going to the pub for AFL isn’t an option.

Jock you should consider a stay at home game every week for NSW, QLD and similar states for the fans in my boat. Maybe hook it up to anyone not within 100 kms of a venue?

Build it, and they will come.

    Tommy V · 07/06/2016 at 18:46

AGREED that would be unreal if we could do that I'm in the same boat

    D-Train · 08/06/2016 at 01:01

Or those of us more than an ocean away from the closest venue!

Ben · 07/06/2016 at 16:14

Is trading cripps to rockliff a bad idea?

    Gellato · 07/06/2016 at 16:22

Not worth the side ways trade! Hold Cripps

      james · 07/06/2016 at 16:28

dont trade Cipps hes getting the job done

    D-Train · 08/06/2016 at 01:01

    Yes

Tommo09 · 07/06/2016 at 16:14

How is everyone going to get these rookie midfielders next week?
I may have to get rid of Keays and MacP to get Trengove and Jansen and then Kennedy/DBJ for Austin maybe

    Patch · 07/06/2016 at 18:01

We've got three trades next week with the bye – Jensen, Trengrove and Stewart are all in my sights for then.

      Tommo09 · 07/06/2016 at 18:19

How can you get them all in your midfield??
I have Hopper, Keays and MacPherson and am planning on keeping Hopper at M9 so have to choose
      Am thinking Jansen and Trengove

        Leeds17 · 07/06/2016 at 19:09

You know you don't have to get all 3 right? haha.

          Tommo09 · 07/06/2016 at 19:11

Yeah I just jp thought heaps of people were getting all three

            Youngster · 07/06/2016 at 19:52

The point is to make money when downgrading so ask yourself how much is a trade worth? If you already have playing rookies who are making cash then maybe the smart play is to hold trades or only get one. At some point we all need to shift from team building to team maintenance as the trades dry up. I'm guessing most of us will have well under 10 trades post byes and that means painting the fence will become a luxury.

            Southern S · 07/06/2016 at 20:49

Just because heaps of people do something doesn't make it right, you're thinking like a sheep not a shepherd.

Dan · 07/06/2016 at 16:14

Wines to Rockliff looks mighty tempting this week.

    Millicent · 07/06/2016 at 16:33

Dan, I seriously considered it but I can't sideways trade so traded in Collins for some extra cash and an OK Josh Smith for Rockcliff. Do your sums on tree trunk Ollie. He is playing well but not always SC relevant. PA will win a few more games and Ollie is projected to score 100 this week. Like anything in life, particularly SC, luck plays a big part and hopefully I am lucky with Rocky and Ollie.

    Southern S · 07/06/2016 at 18:39

I wouldn't call it sideways when it's a premo who never seems to break out, to a potential ultra premo that can pump out huge scores.

There's a big risk involved with Rocky, and Wines could get back to some good scoring.

It's up to you I'd be very tempted if you have enough trades.

      lachlanmcleanportfolio · 07/06/2016 at 21:50

      its sideways mate

        Southern S · 07/06/2016 at 21:54

Depends on your view of sideways I put players like Rockliff, Ablett, Fyfe and Pendlebury in an elite scoring tier, and if they are in form they are must haves and trading a 450k-500k player for them has to be done sometimes.

          JamiesNinjas13 · 08/06/2016 at 15:18

its a sideways trade, they are both premium, one more better than the other but is still a sideways. You're not upgrading from a rookie or mid pricer. Don't make things complicated for the lad lol

        Southern S · 07/06/2016 at 21:54

Don't get me wrong it could easily backfire.

    Wattsieesq · 07/06/2016 at 22:11

Gawn to Goldy looked pretty tempting a couple of weeks ago: )

      Leeds17 · 08/06/2016 at 06:07

It didn't though, there's no comparison between Gawn and Wines in the scenario.

        Wattsieesq · 08/06/2016 at 13:03

Yes it did and the scenario is completely comparable. It invoves a sideways trade of two fallen premos. That's why Jock and about 350 other supercoaches made the Gawn to Goldy trade a couple of weeks back. Only around 50 coaches so far have made the Wines to Rocky trade.

          Southern S · 08/06/2016 at 13:17

No because Gawn was the number one ruckmen the week before that trade.

Wines is a spud this year and has never been an ultra premo.

He's not anywhere near the likes of Rockliff when it comes to scoring potential.

It also depends on how many trades they have left you can only afford a couple of sideways trades in a year generally.

Tommo09 · 07/06/2016 at 16:17

What are everyone's upgrade targets?

Mine are:
Def: Simpson, Boyd, JJ
Mid: Selwood
Fwd: Zorko, Dahlhaus and maybe Riewoldt/Kennedy/Deledio

    Patch · 07/06/2016 at 17:45

Looking at GAJ and Neale in the midfield and Zorko up forward. One other forward slot but not sure if that will go to a Tippett another POD or go conservative with a Dusty or Lids.

    Kev · 07/06/2016 at 17:58

    Doch, Rance
    Pendles
    Zorko

    Iamme · 07/06/2016 at 18:10

DEF Laird, MID Neale or Hanners and FOR Welles

    Tommo09 · 07/06/2016 at 18:17

It looks like I have a lot then
My fwd isn't as bad as it looks
I have Martin, Buddy, Barlow, Wells, Hall, Kerridge

      Liam · 07/06/2016 at 21:16

Only need two upgrades not three in the forward line IMO.
I've got 5 upgrades to do
      DEF: Doch,Simpson,Rance
FWD: Zorko, Lids ( Will leave me with Hall as M9/F7)

    Leeds17 · 07/06/2016 at 21:28

    Pretty Boring here

    Rance, JJ
    Hanners or Pendles
    Zorko

Keeping a close eye on Kolo & Tom Lynch (GC) as cover options.

I'm pretty far out in the rankings so may have to look unique but pretty unique as it is so may look to cover the most popular players and hope my PODs come good

    hedski · 07/06/2016 at 22:03

    Rance/Doc
    Pendles
    Zorko/Lids

    Southern S · 07/06/2016 at 22:17

    Simpson, Gibson
    Pendlebury
    Martin, Deledio

    The Ranger · 07/06/2016 at 22:28

    Rance & Doch
    Hanners & Pendles
    And a forward.

    James · 08/06/2016 at 02:27

    Docherty or JJ
    Pendles or Hanners
    Dahlhaus and Lids

Mikey · 07/06/2016 at 16:18

Hi community…thoughts on my team as far as progress goes? Anyone I should be upgrading or giving The flick ?
DEF:Shaw,Rance,Laird,Simpdon,Birchall,AMT
(Collins,Joyce)
MID:Hanners,Pendles,Danger,Priddis,Selwood,
Libba,Smith(Davis,Dunkley,Dmac)
RUC:Goldy,NicNat(Loersch)
FOR:Martin,Montagna,Wells,Greene,Hall
Kerridge(Petracca,Menadue)

I have 8k and 14 trades left! Much help will be appreciated.

    Cam_H · 07/06/2016 at 22:33

    Mikey,

I'd be a bit concerned with both your Round 13 bye position as well as lack of Ruck coverage.

Just a wild option to throw into the mix … 'Aaron Hall and Connor Menadue' to 'Majak Daw and Matthew Suckling'

Wait for team selection on Majak in light of Goldstein's likely return.

If Majak is selected and Nic Nat isn't, you've got coverage through your swing. Suckling's scores have been nerfed by his injury round, and could conceivably be in your final 22 or at worst a valuable stepping stone to an ultra-premo. Neither Majak Daw or Matt Suckling have the Round 13 bye which helps somewhat with team balance.

Along the same vein, Daniel Gorringe is an alternative to Majak Daw – has the Round 13 bye and not as good break-even, but seems to have better job security for now.

Best of luck with whatever you choose to do.

    Chuck · 07/06/2016 at 22:34

Teams looking strong mate, id suggest holding this week. Everything looking in good shape to go three down next week and then getting in some premos week after

james · 07/06/2016 at 16:18

just a quick thing but i think i will be holding Hall even though he is spending more time up forward but one thing i noticed is Ryan 'Bloody' Davis is spending more time in the middle, i think it's just because Hall is injured and coming straight off the bye i feel rocket will move Hall back in the guts ready for the second half of the year, hopefully meaning davis back forward

but i would HOLD! just look what that 1 week off did to gaz looks like the old gaz again after a rest . cheers community

    Nathan · 07/06/2016 at 16:45

Yeah im holding till after his bye to see how he is recovering then after the byes make my decision

    HOLLA · 07/06/2016 at 17:03

Hall had a week off aswell

Jareal · 07/06/2016 at 16:28

Selwood or Rocky thinking selwood similar priced hard one

    Simmo · 07/06/2016 at 16:30

Can't go past Selwood at this price, probably because the lowest he'll ever be for a while and a proven SC gun!

    Danners · 07/06/2016 at 18:14

I have a similar dilemma, but I will go Selwood since he is less injury prone

    Southern S · 07/06/2016 at 18:56

Plenty of trades then Rockliff, not so many then Selwood.

Millicent · 07/06/2016 at 16:34

Let us hope so James. It sounds logical and I read something like that earlier.

TRIGGER HAPPY · 07/06/2016 at 16:44

Going hall-rocky this week. I think?
Can't really see a downside to that.
Rd 14 bringing in montagna
Rd 15 bringing in Dahl
Completes my fwds with
Dusty, zorko, the Chad and wells with petrecca dpp f7
So would have traded hall anyway in 2 weeks out of my fwd line probably to Selwood.
Gonna keep loosing money trade him.now to rocky who may be a bit of a pod as gotta get moving.

Mister_Spock · 07/06/2016 at 16:48

Is trading Libba out to bring in Rockliff as mad as it sounds??

Libba has been serviceable, but low ceiling this year (ave. 90-100 most rounds competing against other ball magnets at the Dogs). Rockliff on the other hand has the potential to go huge for the remainder of the year…

    Tony · 07/06/2016 at 17:10

I'm actually thinking of doing the same!!!

    Sheriffs Big Rig · 07/06/2016 at 17:34

    I'm thinking the same thing!

    jockreynolds · 07/06/2016 at 18:08

Love this bravery. Love it. If it feels good – do it I reckon

      Derek · 07/06/2016 at 18:19

Libba kicked winning goal last week that gave him about 40SC points. He struggled until then.

        BKW · 07/06/2016 at 20:52

I wouldn't say he struggled, was at the game and was one of the dogs better players – my personal view is he should be one of the last to be upgraded, he's a solid 100 points per game guy.

        Matt · 08/06/2016 at 15:49

wouldnt say 3 goals 20 possies and 5 coaches votes is struggling to be honest

    Danners · 07/06/2016 at 18:15

If you have a full premo team, go for it

      Youngster · 07/06/2016 at 19:43

Exactly! IF you have a full premo team.

    Iamme · 07/06/2016 at 18:20

IMO Libba is doin enough and at this stage he will be my final mid upgrade….I traded the inconsistent Zaharakis for Rocky

    NutSack · 08/06/2016 at 00:50

LOL rocky can go huge?? more likely rocky will miss 4 of the remaining games… yeah get rocky… EVERYONE get rocky… LOL…so amusing im quite excited 😉

CJudd3Votes · 07/06/2016 at 16:53

Crouching One shut up about Gunston i'm looking for PODS to get me back in the game and you're bloody giving everything away!

Bobby Singh · 07/06/2016 at 16:59

Hey community, I've got two trades in mind but not sure which one to go for.

• I'll certainly be going Brown to Collins.

• Should I go Greene to Neale or Hall to Gray?

    jockreynolds · 07/06/2016 at 18:10

If I had to choose I'd go Greene to Neale – Neale is an absolute dead set cert to continue pumping out weekly scores, Gray has been handballing a hell of a lot, and coming off an injury I'd be far more comfortable going with Lachie Bobby

      Bobby Singh · 07/06/2016 at 18:12

Thanks mate. Also, cheers for the follow on Twitter 😀

Tommo · 07/06/2016 at 16:59

Tracca or Tippa on field?

    Mike · 07/06/2016 at 17:10

    Tracca easily

    marcus · 07/06/2016 at 17:11

tippa is most likely going to be rested this week. Id go with tracca anyway

Tet · 07/06/2016 at 17:30

[DEF] Shaw, simpson, bartel, gibbo, howe, laird (collins, Bailey)
[MID] Danger, Pendles, Parker, Shiel, Gaz, Libba, Priddis, Hooper (Dmac, Davis, Dunkley)
[RUC] Gawn, Goldstein (Grimley)
[FWD]Wells, Zorko, Z.Merrett, Hall, Tippa, Petracca (Cox, Paine)

got $583,000 in the war chest with 13 trades left and already used 1 this week by going Brown to Collins

any advice would do well and thoughts on gong for Libba to Rocky or get rid of DMac to brin in rocky or not bring him in entirely?

    jockreynolds · 07/06/2016 at 18:13

Gday there Tet – great team there mate! Well done. If I was you.. I'd absolutely hold my fire this week. 13 trades is pretty light on and you've got a team there that absolutely carry you thorough until your post round 13 trade. You have the warchest ready.. sit back and wait I reckon.

      Tet · 08/06/2016 at 00:35

      Cheers Jock you bloody rippa

Hawker · 07/06/2016 at 17:51

Hold or Trade, Grant Birchall?? dipping in cash, Jump off for Collins?

    lachlanmcleanportfolio · 07/06/2016 at 17:58

    hold imo

    Danners · 07/06/2016 at 18:16

Hold until you have a full premo team and reassess

    Southern S · 07/06/2016 at 18:54

Might be the right move for your team don't see Birchall being anywhere near a top defender.

How many rookies would you be playing on field in defense?

Shake n bake · 07/06/2016 at 17:51

Is this silly if Nic Nat doesn't get up & Goldy plays should I do a sideways trade I don't have a back up ruckman. Gawn my other ruck & it will also suit my bye rds. I have 19 trades left.

    Banned_34 · 07/06/2016 at 18:06

Unless u bring in Tippet as a swingman. I am thinking about it

      jockreynolds · 07/06/2016 at 18:15

I'd consider upgrading a FWD to Tippett mate. You'll need him as the season wears on, sure as buggery this won't be the last of the injury drama we'll be faced with with the popular rucks. Bring in Tippett – he's playing that #1 ruck role and doing well.. a valid FWD upgrade and will give you beautiful flexibility moving forward.

        Shake n bake · 07/06/2016 at 19:17

For the Nic Nat to Goldy would only need 50k the Tippett option I would have to go Brown to Tippett need 230k. Was goin to get rid of Brown after rd 13 bye getting Tippett now will stuff up my bye rds only have 6 missing in rd 15 if I get Goldy that will make 7. Tnx for the reply thou Jock.

    Danners · 07/06/2016 at 18:17

Upgrade someone in your forward line to a swingman like Tippett

Micky · 07/06/2016 at 18:03

Community, any thoughts on trades plz, i have 14 trades left with 30 k in the bank

def- shaw, simpson, laird, gibson, pittard, DBJ( ruggles, collins)
mid- danger, pendles, parker, shiel, priddis, mitchell, liberatore, keays, ( davis, macpherson, dunkley)
ruc- gawn, nic nat(goertz)
fwd- martin, montagna, hall, barlow, zorko, j kennedy( petracca, mcgovern)
is there anyway of me bringing in rockliff?
ANY IDEAS COMMUNITY WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!

    LJB · 08/06/2016 at 17:06

You don't have many trades probably hold and don't trade since there is no reason to but to get Rockliff you would have to downgrade McGovern/DBJ and upgrade probably Davis if that even game you enough and hoping Collins can score well replacing DBJ

Patch · 07/06/2016 at 18:03

Had my eye on Neale for a while gents. First in post-bye

    marcus · 07/06/2016 at 21:09

    brought him in last week

      lachlanmcleanportfolio · 08/06/2016 at 00:15

      Had him since day 1

Rocksta · 07/06/2016 at 18:06

My biggest problem this week is trying to stay away from the trade button…………….My rookies are still appreciating, and my trade in targets have high BE's and Rd13 byes.
It's simple…….no trades this week, downgrade Smith to Jansen next week netting $200K, then upgrading Petracca and Wagner ( Rd14 bye) to Monty/Lids and Simpson whom all have Rd 13 byes in Rd 14. Works with the byes, works with maximizing cash etc etc.
Still, I'm finding it impossible to stay away from that trade button this week. I think I've got a [email protected]

    The Ranger · 07/06/2016 at 21:14

    I know the feeling Rocksta!
I had planned to hold this week but Rockys 200 has led me to trade and reverse about fourteen times so far this week already!
Those trades look good mate, stay strong!

      Rocksta · 07/06/2016 at 21:47

      Cheers Ranger.
Yea trading and then reversing makes me feel better.

    Leeds17 · 07/06/2016 at 21:29

Lids and Rance come R14 for me, probaly 2 tradesbefore then just to make a bit more cash but only if the right options appear.

      Rocksta · 07/06/2016 at 21:49

      Sounds like a plan.
      Good Luck!

lolattack · 07/06/2016 at 18:08

Just my $0.02 on the Rockliff debate. Say you bring him in, scores a couple of tons and pings his hamstring again. You can use one of the 5-7 trades I’m sure everyone has towards the end of the season for injuries/luxury trades. With his low breakeven he will at least rise 50k, so trading him to another premo shouldn’t be an issue. That’s the worst case scenario. But say you bring him in at 500k and he averages 130 (very plausible) for the rest of the season like he did last season after a long injury layoff? You’d be laughing. So I guess it’s a risk, but I think the best case scenario is far more good than the worst case scenario is bad.

    jockreynolds · 07/06/2016 at 18:17

Sensational advice there lol. Makes a hell of a lot of sense.

    Southern S · 07/06/2016 at 18:22

Can see the attraction to bringing him in for sure, and we bring players like Fyfe into our team every year who are arguably more prone to injury than Rockliff (even prior to Fyfe's leg this season)

I started with Rockliff and traded him out earlier in the season, this is my biggest problem that I may waste 3 trades on Rockliff, and for what? May be just chasing points.

After pondering the move may trade him back in, I'm also going to have a strong M9 in Liberatore after bye round 13 when I trade a rookie up to Pendlebury, so maybe I am in a position to do the trade, and even if he misses a few games I'll have solid back up.

At the moment I have traded Zaharakis to Rockliff, and Hartley to Collins have to say it does look exciting having Rockliff in my team but it's a nervous excitement, not sure if I will reverse it by the end of the week.

      Youngster · 07/06/2016 at 19:29

Sometimes you just have to roll the dice. I started with him, traded him to Robbie Grey and then traded Rocky back inm just in time for him to ping his hammy. So I had Grey and Rocky on the bench but scraped by and am now getting the rewards. He's already had his best score that is for sure but quality players will repay the faith. All aboard the Rocky Rollercoaster!!

        Southern S · 07/06/2016 at 19:57

Yep but having those two on your bench that long probably punished your rank did it not?

Should work out for you in league wins hopefully though.

          Youngster · 08/06/2016 at 19:29

Yep! But I always play for rank and felt that in the long run, I needed to save trades. I'd already traded in JJ by this stage and then when he went down, traded to Suckling who immediately rolled his ankle. The gods are punishing…

      TRIGGER HAPPY · 08/06/2016 at 09:28

I see your point but is it really a waste of trades? When rocky got injured most traded him to another premo (Hannas, jelwood, ward etc) which u didn't have in your team but probably would have got in eventually by upgrading 2 rooks by painting the fence.
So if u bring rocky back in you have used 2 trades for rocky and say hannas which u would have done anyway.

Maccadog · 07/06/2016 at 18:09

kade koladjanij to suckling a good trade

    Tommo · 07/06/2016 at 18:34

Boomer just said on SEN that Goldy is just about a certain starter this week, as long as he gets through training tomorrow. Nic Nat is not as likely to suit up.

Tommo09 · 07/06/2016 at 18:26

What does everyone classify as a POD in ownership?

    Tommo · 07/06/2016 at 18:33

    under 10%?

    Tommo09 · 07/06/2016 at 18:36

That's not me by the way

      @winterjames5 · 07/06/2016 at 18:56

usually under 10% but i usually go under 5% ownership my PODs are Enright (2.6%), Byrne (6.7%), Shiel (8.5%), Zieball (3.7%), Lewis (2.8%), Boomer (2.1%)

      Tommy · 07/06/2016 at 19:12

Tommy · 07/06/2016 at 18:35

If we bring in Tippett, would he be brought in to be bench cover for rucks and forwards? Or could he be a legitimate F6/R3?

    Southern S · 07/06/2016 at 18:52

Should be an F5/F6 and hopefully you have a Loersch/Max king Ruck/Fwd type player as your R3 for swing.

Seems a bit expensive to be benched. If that is the case then I'd look at someone cheaper as you might only use them a couple of times in the season.

      Tommy · 07/06/2016 at 18:56

Yeah, i agree. I was thinking of bringing him in for Toby Greene in a week or 2. Provides great bench cover and can score pretty big. Would this be a good trade?

        Tommy · 08/06/2016 at 06:57

        Great ruck cover*

    @winterjames5 · 07/06/2016 at 18:58

he would definatly be F6 and then when your rucks breakdown switch with R3 rookie

    Ketut · 07/06/2016 at 19:03

I bought in Tippet last week (as a FWD) to back up Goldy and my advice to NicNat owners (with no backup) would be to do the same thing; Infact I reckon it's a no brainer, here's why?
    1. A good trade will net you about 200 points for the season, this will get you half of that (give or take) straight away.
2.If you take Tippets lowest 4 scores away he average jumps to 108.5. Am I crazy, you can't do that to justify a point? If you dig a little deeper you'll notice those scores were against Adelaide, Nth Melb, GWS & West Coast. I other words teams with good ruckmen. (I'd class Melb there too but hasn't play them yet) So once you have 7 premiuim forwards, you play Tippet against all the other teams
3.Youll sleep better at night knowing you've got ruck cover for the rest if the year.

      Ketut · 07/06/2016 at 19:04

Please not to confuse people I'm not suggesting a sideways trade from NicNat to Tippett, I think that's a big no no

        Don't Blush Baby' · 07/06/2016 at 19:58

I understand its only 1 round but a reminder that Sydney,West Coast & Melbourne have the same bye

      What would Rhonda do?

emjay · 07/06/2016 at 18:52

Jay · 07/06/2016 at 19:04

can Yeo and KK turn it around?

    The GOAT · 07/06/2016 at 19:45

hope so, not confident they will though. I have Yeo personally

    Southern S · 07/06/2016 at 19:50

    Highly doubtful.

Tommo09 · 07/06/2016 at 19:12

Selwood or Neale for my last mid spot?

    Lycey · 07/06/2016 at 20:41

Neale – starting to prove consistency and doesn't cop many tags unlike Selwood. However, selwood has higher ceiling and can go big but I would lean towards neale.

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 08/06/2016 at 09:32

    Q. Do you want a pod?
    Y= Neale
    N= jelwood

@winterjames5 · 07/06/2016 at 19:19

If tipungwuti is rested and NicNat doesnt play is it worth trading Tipungwuti to Lycett or Tippert for cover or do i just cop the zero and hope he comes back next week

    Southern S · 07/06/2016 at 19:52

    Many factors to consider.

    Tommo · 08/06/2016 at 16:02

I intend or trading Toby Greene to Tippett in the coming weeks. Tippett can be an F6 and provides cover in the ruck. At that price, only bring someone in that will play on field for you at this stage.

Mason · 07/06/2016 at 19:31

228K – 18 Trades
Trade advice very welcome and also considering the byes this week.
Thanks heaps.

    Cam_H · 07/06/2016 at 23:35

    Mason,

i think that you're in a good position. Personally I'd trade out either Day or Hewett for Sam Collins using your swings this week. Just a thought.

Best of luck with whatever you decide.

      Mason · 08/06/2016 at 16:18

      Hi,
I dont have Day/Dea in my side? Did you mean someone else, cheers

        Cam_H · 09/06/2016 at 23:53

Good Lord – can't think what went on with my response! Sorry, Mason. I presume I meant Darcy MacPherson.

It just seems that a Round 15 bye bubble boy with a -89BE right now would be hard to pass up. Putting 'say' Bartel in your midfield through the trade opens the def-mid swing options (assuming 'Smith' is Josh Smith not Brodie Smith).

        Go with your gut however!

Michael Arcari · 07/06/2016 at 19:44

Im going to wait one more week on rocky

    Southern S · 07/06/2016 at 19:54

Good move as he won't increase in price that much anyway.

    Projected 104 and 22k profit.

      Moorey · 07/06/2016 at 20:06

With a BE of 54, you are dreaming. Even he gets a measerly 100 SC points he will go up $35 – 40 K

        Southern S · 07/06/2016 at 20:35

I'm going by the projected score and profit according to supercoach.

Tell us how it works then please?

      Redgumwon · 07/06/2016 at 21:37

I'm with you Southern. All that's gold doesn't glitter. I remember last year and the burn left by Rocky not once but twice. Crouching should have given us a proverb about Rocky and the Garden of Eden

      Leeds17 · 07/06/2016 at 21:50

I've seen you say that waiting a week is a good idea in numerous posts I just don't get it, surely he's either going to get injured or he's not, his scoring ability isn't in question so what does waiting a week tell you? (honestly trying to learn feel I must be missing something??)

for the record I'm not bringing him in.

        Rocksta · 07/06/2016 at 21:54

        I agree.
You either do, or you forgo him for the season based on his injury history.
If you decide to take the risk, this week is the week to bring him in!

        Southern S · 07/06/2016 at 22:24

He's obviously been itching to get back and came back and absolutely smashed it, We've already seen him have niggles and injuries this year multiple times, who knows he may have pulled up sore from that game.

If he ends up injured again next game it's going to hurt owners a lot more than the small amount of extra cash it will cost to trade him in next week.

I have him in my team right now but I'm still not decided on whether I will reverse it.

I can fully understand wanting to wait a week and support the decision by Michael I'm not going to try and convince him to lock him in this week.

      Moustachio · 07/06/2016 at 22:45

If he gets 120 he goes up by like 30k. He is up against Freo remember, could be huge.

If he gets 200 and I don't have him, I will delete my team.

Selwood if you want a reliable midfielder

How close do you guys think you have to be to the overall leader to have a go at it?

    Rocksta · 07/06/2016 at 22:02

Still more than half a season to go, but I would have thought you'd want to be in the top 1000 to have a chance.
It opens up by the fact that first place is some 160 points ahead of second, and then starts banking up thereafter.

D: shaw, docherty, laird, Simpson, rich, byrne-jones (collins, tucker)
M: danger, Hannabery, ward, Pendles, ablett, Libba, gray, Davis (Keays, McPherson, smith)
R: goldy, Martin (grimley)
F: Dahl, buddy, hall, wells, wingard, kerridge (petracca, brown)
17 trades left and 50k in the bank.

Thinking of getting rid of smith and brown but I am concerned about lack of fwd rookies on the bubble. Is there any worth jumping on this week?
My other option is to bring in mathesion/ Stewart or Jansen for smith. Tippet in for brown and then swing tippet to ruck and bench Martin for now.
Any suggestions?

I'd be playing Davis or Smith over Hopper at M8 too.

if you had of said that earlier in the year, i wouldve called you braindead haha (the playing Davis part)

        Southern S · 07/06/2016 at 22:07

        Yep absolutely.

Hopper has another tough games against the swannies midfield this week so I can't see him going big, looks to be a slow burner I'm surprised 27% of teams jumped on such a high priced rookie at that time of the year.

Leeds17 · 07/06/2016 at 21:19

If Tom Lee gets a gig this week think I'll bring him in for Brown otherwise nothing's really appealing trade wise… Quiet week like this spells Thursday carnage

    Redgumwon · 07/06/2016 at 21:40

I don't like Tom Lee's job security. He may have farted around Richo as the kid can't seen to get a game at all

      Leeds17 · 07/06/2016 at 21:46

No Fisher, Dempster & now Goddard too if he's not picked now he'll never be.

        Redgumwon · 07/06/2016 at 21:49

Fisher and Dempster are listed at 3 to 4 weeks and Goddard is done for the year. I still don't think that Lee will play that many games to rise enough in cash for a later upgrade. I think if you take him you'll get stuck with him. Another train of thought then might be to keep Brown as a low scoring cheap back up in defence and save a valuable trade for a player who will make you more cash

          Southern S · 07/06/2016 at 21:57

I'm probably going to keep a couple of players like that, thinking probably AMT and Byrne from Carlton due to guaranteed JS.

For other spots may even want a donut on each line to loophole, of course do these types of moves after the byes.

          Leeds17 · 07/06/2016 at 21:58

How many games would he have to play at a 50 ave to make 100k? That's all I'd need from him either the 165k odd I'd make from down grading Brown.

            Southern S · 07/06/2016 at 22:33

100k isn't worth the two trades.

              NutSack · 08/06/2016 at 00:59

its only 1 trade buddy… that or its 2 trades and worth ALOT more than 100K by downgrading somone.

either way trades have to be made. its half way through the season so you should have used about 15 trades. im down to 15 and after using 9 over the byes i'll have 24 prems and that will be all 🙂

                Southern S · 08/06/2016 at 01:02

They are asking how many games it would take to make 100k so I was assuming they are trading him in and then out again later. He doesn't seem worth it just my opinion.

                  Leeds17 · 08/06/2016 at 06:02

I wasn't planing on trading him out but might have too later so would like him to be worth as much as possiblbe thus asking the question how many games would it take at 50pt ave to make 100k which would be the minimum I'd accept to trade for, I have plans to keep one of DBJ or AMT for the season so Brown has to go

The Ranger · 07/06/2016 at 21:38

To anyone that's got Aaron Young….are we holding him til the bye?
Or swapping him for Rocky this week?

    Southern S · 07/06/2016 at 22:02

Young is scoring quite well I'd be tempted to hold off as trading in Rocky on the back of one game is risky.

Can see the attraction of the trade though only 50k to upgrade, go with your gut.

Pinidu · 07/06/2016 at 21:53

I'll be trading in one of: Ward, Shiel, Selwood or Parker this week…budget is 570K for a midfielder…your thoughts community? Also, I'll be downgrading Hewett this week, is Jansen the best option? I feel that Stewart from Hawthorn has literally no job security at all.

Thanks in advance

    lachlanmcleanportfolio · 07/06/2016 at 21:54

    Ward

      judd0 · 08/06/2016 at 00:02

I also really like Ward as option.

Redgumwon · 07/06/2016 at 22:02

Shiel I've had since round 1. He's really flying now and ultra consistent with the scores. I also have Selwood and it's been a bumpy ride to date. Last week showed how the Selwood highs and lows can go. I've had Ward in the Draft game all year and have been a little disappointed with his scores. They have there ups and downs but don't go nearly anywhere as high as Selwood's when on song

Wayno76 · 07/06/2016 at 22:13

Don't do it Jock and Crouching remember the shitstalk.

Jess_coach · 07/06/2016 at 22:20

If adams continues to average around 85, is he a keeper as D6? I plan to come out of the byes full premium apart from adams, and with 9 trades left. But as long as adams is performing well, I'll hold those 9 and reassess things closer to the finals and after the injury carnage that will surely occur, occurs. Good plan?

    Jess_coach · 07/06/2016 at 22:23

With all fairness, he is averaging more than rich, who many have and are probably keeping. And collins and brand on the bench could be good loopholes

    Southern S · 07/06/2016 at 22:32

I'll be holding Adams as long as possible too Jess. He has the round 14 bye so hopefully everyone trades him out during the byes and he becomes a POD too.

      Jess_coach · 07/06/2016 at 22:53

Great to hear southern. Here's hoping 9 trades post-bye is more than enough for injuries, so some luxury trades can be made later in the season.

        NutSack · 08/06/2016 at 01:12

4 trades post byes is more than enough as the team should have about 24 prems anyway

    Rocksta · 07/06/2016 at 22:53

I'm holding Adams at D6 as well Jess until finals.
I'll also be full premo post byes but will have 11 trades.
If Injury doesn't strike too harshly on the run into finals, I'll look to using some of those 11 on getting rid of KK( definitely), and Hall ( if he doesn't improve). I dont want to go into finals with less than 5 trades.

    Moustachio · 07/06/2016 at 22:56

Depends if you have the big scoring defenders yet eg Simpson, Doc. If you bring in someone that will av 105 that is a lot of points more over 11 games. 9 trades post byes is pretty good, can afford to be a bit luxurious imo.

I have Doc and will be getting Simpson after r13 bye. Would like to keep Adams for bench cover if finances allow, but may not (should be worth close to 400k)

    Billioux · 07/06/2016 at 23:03

I have posted this recently and only imo 85avg good enough for d6

      Rocksta · 07/06/2016 at 23:09

Aside from his healthy average, he has really looked solid after coming back from injury. I can see him pumping out 100's again soon enough as his match fitness gets back to peak levels.
As above, I'll be getting rid of KK after byes well before I even think about moving Adams on.

      Jess_coach · 07/06/2016 at 23:10

Ive got shaw, simpson, Docherty and bartel.

Tippa will become rance (or laird), so hoping adams at d6 is fine for at least a while

    Johnny · 08/06/2016 at 00:41

Hi Jess how are you positioned in ranks atm? Still around the mark?

brettijewellerycomau · 07/06/2016 at 23:06

Tell me your thoughts on these trades

Hall to Robbie Gray (Anyone 570k or less if so who)
Josh Smith to Dahl

Not sure If I should get rid of Hall because I bet this week he will pump out 120+

    Rocksta · 07/06/2016 at 23:11

    Answered your own question.
    Keep Hall for now

      brettijewellerycomau · 07/06/2016 at 23:48

Whats the chance of Hall producing another shit score…?! 6 Straight weeks of sub 100 scores proves he is not a keeper… Would you consider this an upgrade.

      Cam_H · 07/06/2016 at 23:50

Breakeven of 138 in an away game against the Tige's, then zero for the bye, then Hawthorn down in Tassie.

        One Touch Wonder · 07/06/2016 at 23:53

It's not like we didn't see this coming and trade him to Zorko 4 weeks ago in a classic SHARK MOVE.

          One Touch Wonder · 08/06/2016 at 00:10

I will be revealing my second amazing SHARK MOVE later this week. At the end of the season people will look back and wonder why they didn't do it.

Snoball · 07/06/2016 at 23:12

I am sure he will.

hedski · 07/06/2016 at 23:51

Great podcast guys the Rocky question is ball tingling.
Have been painting the fence last 5 weeks have brought in Simmo Chopstix Pridda Tippet and Chad.
This week I'm gettin down and dirty and removing a few filthy undy stains.
Menapoo ==> Beech (Crows m/f rook loophole check their run home)
Brown ==> Suckling.
Allows me to keep dpps open and keep Tippa for a bit.
Team will be.

Shaw Simmo Gibbo (Collins)
Suckling(F) Smith(M) Adams(F) (Rug)

Danger Gaz Priddis (Smith)
Parker Jelwood Gray (Keays)
Libba Zaha (Beech)(F)

Goldy Gawn (Loersch)(F)

Chops(M) Barlow (M) Hall (M) (Petracca)(M)
Tippet (R) Chad Kedge (M) (Tippa)(D)

Still some worries there but justa gotta back em.
Think I've still got enough cash generation for a few good trades any thoughts all good.
Glug.

    The Ranger · 08/06/2016 at 11:15

Tenner says you've been tempted by that Zaha > Rocky trade Hedski!
You've done a lovely paint job on the fence by the way.

      hedski · 08/06/2016 at 12:05

Cheers Ranger. Yes very tempted by said trade but I want to try and bring in Pendles and move Zaha to m9 and loop him with Libba.
Could be hard to knock back Rocky if he's killing it still next couple of rounds tho.

        The Rangers · 08/06/2016 at 13:26

Yeah I think I'm gonna pull the trigger early and bring him in for A.Young.
It will mean I can then use Libba to get to Pendles or Hanners over the byes.

judd0 · 07/06/2016 at 23:58

Great casting of the pod as usual.
Do we think Matty Boyd is a solid option down back?
Has had a really nice 5 weeks and has the rnd 14 bye which best suits my backline.

    Danners · 08/06/2016 at 09:02

Boyd is a solid option in defence

Johnny · 08/06/2016 at 00:42

Is 3 from one team too many?
Selwood Bartel danger…

    50_shades · 08/06/2016 at 09:03

I don't think so Johnny. Bartel and Selwoods prices make them pretty hard to pass on, especially if you trust their effort in the run home.

Stevo · 08/06/2016 at 07:33

Another ripper Podcast. Have 16 trades and $92k and very tempted – J.Smith & Keays to Rocky & Jansen. Do it this week or wait for next week? Would take me to full premo an all lines except defence (3 short if you include the spud KK). I know Smith & Keays have more cash to make but so tempting. Help!

    Kev · 08/06/2016 at 08:00

I'd wait, Stevo. Smith still has plenty left in the tank and it's worth waiting on Jansen to reach the bubble

      Stevo · 08/06/2016 at 09:17

Thanks Kev. I will try and hold off.
What about KK to Suckling? Hate sideways trades but he has been terrible.

Blake · 08/06/2016 at 08:42

Do I go K.Collins to S.Collins or KK to S.Collins

Blake · 08/06/2016 at 08:49

Adding on from above other option is DBJ to S.Collins and Oliver/Smith to Gray/Selwood.
But Oliver and Smith's breakevens are only 39 and 40

Alex · 08/06/2016 at 08:54

Libba-Rocky
Kerridge-Dahl
Thoughts?

    50_shades · 08/06/2016 at 09:01

No Alex. I know you want rocky, but Libba and Kerridge are not the way. What else can you move on?

    Alix · 08/06/2016 at 12:02

Wait on the Kerridge – Dahl move, Kerridge will make more cash whilst Dahlhaus might even drop again in price this week

    Southern S · 08/06/2016 at 13:10

Lots of people have traded kerridge out early and look what happens……….he went up 30k just last week and is again on a low BE.

jezzahill · 08/06/2016 at 09:22

How many trades do we all think we should have if we're going to take the risk on Rockliff, community? I've got 19 left but will probably wait a week to see how he goes against Freo.

    Blake · 08/06/2016 at 09:25

    17-18

    Turtlecoach · 08/06/2016 at 13:39

I think it not only depends on number of trades, but also on who you are going to trade for him. Rockliff projected score is 104 and price change up $21,800, he more than likely will score higher than his projection. If you were going to trade someone out who may not increase much in price this week can you afford to wait? I have 17 trades left and am undecided on bringing him in, having used 3 trades on him last year, which is still a painful memory. Waiting a week only eliminates the risk of him being injured this week. If I do pull that trigger, it will definitely be this week.

Blake · 08/06/2016 at 09:34

Thoughts on DBJ to S.Collins and Oliver/Smith to Gray/Selwood.
But Oliver and Smith's breakevens are only 39 and 40.
OR
K.Collins to S.Collins or KK to S.Collins

Gherkin · 08/06/2016 at 10:29

Hi community.

Great casting of the pod as always guys.

My great conundrum this week is whether to keep Hall and Greene in the same forward line. Do we think they will turn it around and start pumping out 90-110 scores or should we look at moving one on for some more stability in the forward line? If so, which one gets the bullet?

Trades are becoming an issue with my team so I can't afford to waste one on a sideways trade so I was thinking keep both Hall & Greene and downgrade a fattened bench player to a 200k ruck/fwd for ruck cover as I currently have none. Other option is to wait a few weeks and use the war chest to trade Hall or Greene to Tippet to play at F6. Weighing up Hall, Greene, bench ruck/fwd and more cash to upgrade my last mid against, Hall OR Greene, Tippet and less cash for the mids.

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated community, good luck this week!

Mikey · 08/06/2016 at 10:58

Nic Natanui says "he'll be right to play and it's only a precautionary measure as to why he is on crutches"

    Gherkin · 08/06/2016 at 11:33

Huge relief if true. Cheers, Mikey.

One Touch Wonder · 08/06/2016 at 11:14

I will be revealing my second amazing SHARK MOVE later this week. At the end of the season people will look back and wonder why they didn't do it. This will be even better than my Hall to Zorko of 4 weeks ago.

    Sean · 08/06/2016 at 11:24

    Righto. Whats your ranking now?

      One Touch Wonder · 08/06/2016 at 11:52

My rank isn't important. All you need is my wisdom and how you use it to improve your own rank. Be patient, I will reveal soon.

        Get Rekt · 08/06/2016 at 11:55

aka he is outside the top 10,000

          One Touch Wonder · 08/06/2016 at 12:22

Let us wait til the end of the season to judge

            JamiesNinjas13 · 08/06/2016 at 15:07

As you said wonder, wait until the end of the season. That applies to your shark move if it's good or not. Hall might come better and zorko might become a spud. Don't speak and brag too soon lol

    The Ranger · 08/06/2016 at 11:56

Bit early to be calling Hall to Zorko a shark move isn't it One Touch?
Zorko gets injured this weekdend and is out for 8wks then the move looks more Dugong than Shark like.
I reckon you have to wait til the end of the season to judge that kinda trade.

      One Touch Wonder · 08/06/2016 at 12:21

I agree. The same can be said for my rank. Let us wait til the end of the season to judge. I just come up with the Shark Moves and let everyone know before i do it. I said 5 weeks ago it was time to get rid of Hall when everyone else was calling him a keeper. My next great SHARK MOVE will be even more controversial.

        Kev · 08/06/2016 at 12:56

        I hope it's Cloke

        Southern S · 08/06/2016 at 13:08

Hall wasn't performing so you traded him out, It wasn't that controversial honestly it's just people are more patient and gave him a chance, he's still worth as much as he started at.

It's looking like a good move but most people would just upgrade a rookie to a premo and deal with Hall later if he doesn't bounce back, each to their own.

          One Touch Wonder · 08/06/2016 at 13:49

That is why it was a Shark Move, I didn't follow the shoal. Anyone who is serious will need to do my next Shark Move if they want to win.

            The Ranger · 08/06/2016 at 13:52

Is it Zac Dawson? 'Cos i think Derek has already done that one.

              I N Pieman · 08/06/2016 at 14:29

Well this brilliant move had better involve Relton Roberts

              Derek · 08/06/2016 at 17:18

the curios case of Zac Dawson. By the end of the year he will be down to Rookie price. It's like he is growing in reverse.

I just checked, EVERY year of Zacs career he has finished the season cheaper than he started the year.

Don't think it will be Zac.

Blake · 08/06/2016 at 11:22

Do I start S.Collins or J.Joyce?

    Mikey · 08/06/2016 at 12:03

    Collins quite clearly

      Thanks

    breakevens · 08/06/2016 at 12:16

Tim · 08/06/2016 at 12:15

Rocky, Ward or Selwood?

    breakevens · 08/06/2016 at 12:16

    Ward

    Gherkin · 08/06/2016 at 12:51

I've gone Zaka to Rocky. Gonna roll the dice and could make or break my season but his upside is huge. Ward is the safer option for mine. Selwood is very tempting but I haven't been able to work out the reason for his low scores so he's a bit too unpredictable for me. Great price though.

      I N Pieman · 08/06/2016 at 14:09

The reason for Selwoods low scores is simple. Teams have given up trying to tag Danger. He's too quick. So the tag is going to Selwood. Conigliou was doing a good job till 3/4 last week. Then he fell asleep & Selwood punished him

Halumi · 08/06/2016 at 13:02

I have 15 trades left and can go Smith to Rocky right now. My mid would look like this
Pendles, Ward, Ablett, Danger, Libba, Gray, Hanners and Rocky. Not sure if its worth the risk but its mighty tempting. I'm 14k short of getting Selwood or Parker.

    Gherkin · 08/06/2016 at 14:09

Hi Halumi. Either pull the trigger on Rocky now or wait for Smith to go up another 30k and get someone less risky. Personally, I've pulled the trigger on Rocky this week. The problem that you and I both face, is a lack of trades. May come back to bite us if Rocky falls in a heap again. Fingers crossed!

I N Pieman · 08/06/2016 at 14:34

Brad Scott saying he isn't going to take any risks with Goldy. Might find himself back in hospital shortly

Brent · 08/06/2016 at 14:50

1 more spot left on forward…desperately wanted Zorko but thinking tippet now for cover any rucks(goldy Gawn). Is tippet worth the risk? If he plays ruck rest of year I can see him AVe 95-110 mayb

    JamiesNinjas13 · 08/06/2016 at 15:59

If Nic Nat is not named, I will be forced to bring in Tippet as an F6 . I really don't want to do that, he is not proven as of yet. But near the finals I would like to get him as an F7 to cover both FWD/RUCK lines. It doesn't hurt to roll the dice with zorko and get tippet in later like I am.

      Tommo · 08/06/2016 at 17:54

That is one expensive bench player. I reckon Tippet is an F6 IMO

        JamiesNinjas13 · 09/06/2016 at 09:56

the aim after a full premium team is to get in a premium bench player on a couple lines to cover minor injuries when needed and you can also loophole them with non-playing base rookies to maximise your weekly points. Had Hibberd last year at D7 and loopholed him in when he get the ton. These are luxury trades off course and not every year we are lucky to have them lol

Rocky's hammy · 09/06/2016 at 00:51
