The Round 11 AFL Cheat Sheet

Published by Lekdog on

Supercoach 2016 midpriced forwardsG’day Community Lekdog here,

This week I’ve had a look at a couple obscure selections that I think can work for our sides in McDonald and Gorringe (although I always recommenced we don’t stuff about with our ruckmen).

Josh Dunkley and Dougal Howard are still very valid selections if you don’t want to indulge in some Brisbane rookies, check your byes and see who fits best.

In other news McDonald-Tipungwuti, Sam Kerridge, Mitch Brown and Corey Ellis are all still worth holding onto, maybe until their bye rounds.

Let’s get into it…

Go Lekdog ya ripper.
Thinking MacPherson and BenKen to S.Collins and The Chad.
Opens up my def/fwd swing and mid/fwd swing again.
Early on Collins but JS should be good and the scgods wouldn't be pricks again would they?????

    Steve · 01/06/2016 at 21:17

How are you manging those trades hedski? Macpherson mid only and ben ken mod/forw for collins def only and the chad forward only

      Fozdaddy · 01/06/2016 at 21:42

Would have tip in the back, swing him forward for benken, then get Chad mid and Collins forward

    hedski · 01/06/2016 at 21:53

Am trading McPherson and subbing Menapoopoo into mids, then subbing Brown from def to fwd.
Opens up a def spot for Collins.
I still have Tippa and Adams in def.
BenKen in fwd now becomes The Chad.
Onfield rookies are now Tippa and Adams in def (Brown option with swing) and Kedge/Petracca fwd.
    Hope that makes sense cheers.

    LEKD0G · 02/06/2016 at 19:01

Cheers mate, don't mind the trades

Jordan · 01/06/2016 at 19:57

Loving the Tommy Mac POD. I think I'll still stick with Bartel or Gibbo.
Good work again Lek

    LEKD0G · 02/06/2016 at 19:01

    I'm very tempted by him

Mason · 01/06/2016 at 19:58

Only 2K – 19 Trades
After some advice on Trades/Hold. Any strategies welcome. I think I need to work on cash generation?

Def: Shaw, Rich, Seedsman, Bartel, Tippa, Adams (O McDonald, M Brown)
Mid: Danger, Priddis, R Gray, Ablett, Hannebury, Libba, Wells, Smith (Oliver, Hewett, D Macpherson)
Ruc: Gawn, Natanui, Grimley
Fwd: D Martin, Zorko, Montagna, Petracca, A Hall, Barlow, (Kerridge, Kennedy)

    Judas · 02/06/2016 at 10:50

Trade Kennedy to Collins by swaping Brown to Fwd line. Opens up your Fwd-Def swings!

      Southern S · 02/06/2016 at 11:55

Agreed, could then upgrade Oliver or whoever needs to be culled.

The Ranger · 01/06/2016 at 19:59

Jeez Hedski, don't bloody tempt them!
Love ya work Lek, thanks.

    hedski · 01/06/2016 at 20:02

I shake my fist in contempt at the bastards…. 😀

Marcus · 01/06/2016 at 20:00

Good as always Lek
How is my team looking
Doherty, shaw, Gibson, laird, AMT, DBJ : M.Brown, Ruggles
Danger, Pendles, Parker, Ward, GAJ, Gaff, Liberatore, J.Smith: Hewett, Davis, Dunkley
Gawn, NicNat: leorsch
Dusty, Dahlhaus, Montagna, Barlow, wells, kerridge: cox, petracca
I have 16 trades left and 13,000 in the bank
And again Lek great piece of info

    jezzahill · 02/06/2016 at 12:05

Team is looking pretty good, Marcus! You could maybe have a look at getting Mathieson in this week depending on whether your rookies' BE are getting high, otherwise I would hold.

    LEKD0G · 02/06/2016 at 19:02

Only one is maybe DBJ down to Collins if you think he'll stay in the side

ABC123 · 01/06/2016 at 20:00

Couldn't pay me to trade in Tmac he is absolute rubbish! He is not back!

    Judas · 02/06/2016 at 11:12

Every year there's a defender that comes out of nowhere & then spuds it up the next year!

@Popey_99 · 01/06/2016 at 20:04

Love your work Lek, always a great read.
Your comment on the rookies has given me some food for thought. I had planned to trade out M.Brown and Kerridge this week but not sure whether to hold off on this or not. Have 17 trades coming into this week having held my premos out with injury like Hall, Laird, Wells, GAJ and Barlow.
Without trading I have only Kerridge, Hopper and Adams (KK on bench) as on field rookies. Do you think I should still hold Kedge and Brown or go for it and get a Gray type in?
Cheers guys.

    Nathan · 01/06/2016 at 22:29

What's your team name? 3 rookies on the field with 27 trades??? Don't believe you.

      Nathan · 01/06/2016 at 22:29

      17 I mean

        @Popey_99 · 02/06/2016 at 08:42

        The Pope's Army, ranked 1557.
Keep in mind Laird comes back this week as you can't see benches on the SC site.

          nathan · 02/06/2016 at 11:09

I'm sitting 304th 2slonedtobone – I've got the same – 3 on field rookie AMT, Kerridge and Adams, but I have only 12 trades left. I will be saving 6 for round 19 onwards. bye rounds look ok as I've planned it so 20/20/20.

you've done really well if you have 17 trades left – our sides are very similar and ive done only upgrades and no sideways trades

    Leeds17 · 02/06/2016 at 05:49

Neither are urgent & Gray won't go up much this week, if you could go Brown to Gray with one trade I'd probably do that.

    jezzahill · 02/06/2016 at 12:06

Hold trades if you've got 17 left – If you haven't got S. Collins I would trade Brown for him, but you should hold Kerridge for a bit longer

HOLLA · 01/06/2016 at 20:04

3 major issues in my midfield. Viney t.adams wines.
Ive got 240k. Normally youd trade the guys not playing but wines is dropping a shitload of coin. Thinking of adams to dahl and wines to gray.
Thoughts community?

    @Popey_99 · 01/06/2016 at 20:09

I'd hold Wines. By trading him you lock in your losses. Plus he can only get better, I'd look to him to average 105+ after the bye, he's still a jet. Don't worry too much about premo prices, he won't drop too much more anyways. At worst leave him M8 and get rid of him before SC finals if you have trades left. The other 2 have to go.

      HOLLA · 01/06/2016 at 20:35

Ive been saying wines will get better as port improve but he cleary hasnt

        Pman35 · 01/06/2016 at 22:21

I've got Wines and are as equally frustrated with the garbage he's been dishing out this year and will be looking to turn him into GAJ this week who is real value at $541K.

    jezzahill · 02/06/2016 at 12:07

Trade the guys who are injured

    Jimmy · 02/06/2016 at 14:09

Ive got Wines aka as lard a$$. He is doing my head in but yeah i think he is the least of your problems if you have both Adams and Viney injured.

Tommo09 · 01/06/2016 at 20:07

I'm in trouble aren't I?

5 rookies and 15 trades left

AMT, DBJ, Adams, Hopper, Kerridge

Upgrades are looking like this, these include Libba and Hall/Wells

Simpson, Boyd, Gibson/Bartel
Rockliff, Selwood
Zorko, Dahlhaus/Deledio

This week
Kennedy and MacPherson to Collins and Mathieson
After this $340k and 15 trades

    Tommo09 · 01/06/2016 at 20:10

    5 on field that is

      I N Pieman · 01/06/2016 at 20:41

One up one down would leave you with 5 trades. Geez you'd need some luck fall your way. I'd consider budget & aim for 3 down for 5 up & pick off value where possible

        Tommo09 · 01/06/2016 at 20:45

I think I would need those three rookies to get to $300k each

          I N Pieman · 01/06/2016 at 21:05

          Yep. Pray to the gods

    Leeds17 · 02/06/2016 at 05:55

You can look at it as trouble no doubt but also gives you the chance to do a few left of centre trades or cheaper guys who you think might breakout in the second half of the season,

BiggySc · 01/06/2016 at 20:12

Who are some cost effective premo mids that are must-haves? I have priddis, gray, Parker, danger and coniglio

    Danners · 01/06/2016 at 21:43

Steven, God, maybe wait a week for Selwood

    Judas · 02/06/2016 at 11:30

Lewis, Hanley, the 2 Mitchell's, Ablett (God) & Rocky (Gods son)

    Southern S · 02/06/2016 at 11:56

Ablett, Gray. wouldn't call any others must haves except Rocky when he's fit. Which is basically never.

Banga · 01/06/2016 at 20:17

Bugger!! Got 3 players that need to go this week. Hartley, BenKen and Martin. I originally wanted to just get rid of BenKen and Hartley, but i cant see it working with ending up leaving Kerridge on my bench and having Smith and another rookie at m7 and m8, which is disastrous. So i was thinking this:
Hartley to Collins, Martin to Gawn/NicNat
Means i miss out on Mathieson, and BenKen stays for another week. Right or wrong decision?

    Riot act · 01/06/2016 at 20:21

Hold Hartley, you won't loose any cash he is injured (2 weeks) unless that leaves you one short in defence. I'd chop the others first.

      Southern S · 01/06/2016 at 21:19

That's what I'm doing, then downgrade to S. Collins next week.

      Banga · 01/06/2016 at 21:43

Yeah good point, if Brand plays, which he should as Spanger is injured, then ill be right. Thanks!

    Judas · 02/06/2016 at 11:24

No point dropping Martin at his low point!
    I'd downgrade Hartley to Collins
Then upgrade Kennedy! Maybe swap Kerridge fwd & pickup one of the cheap promo Mids going around!
Heaps on offer… Priddis, Gray, Lewis, Hanley, the 2 Mitchell's, Ablett & my fav Rocky!!!

      Tommo · 02/06/2016 at 11:29

Yeah, thats ideal mate! Only problem is that Kerridge will be on the bench, which isn't great considering he has the ability to pump out tons. My forward line consists of Martin, Buddy, Merrett, Wells, Greene and De Goey, so he won't be on field.

        Judas · 02/06/2016 at 12:09

Who are your Mids?No point dropping Martin at his low point!

        Judas · 02/06/2016 at 12:11

        Who are your Mids?

          Banga · 02/06/2016 at 12:13

Pendles, Sidebum, Ward, Jelwood, Ablett, Libba, Smith and Davis/Keays

            Judas · 02/06/2016 at 12:15

              Banga · 02/06/2016 at 12:18

Oh, sorry, i have Wells on field with Keays, Davis and Gresham on bench

                Judas · 02/06/2016 at 12:23

so if you trade Kennedy & swap to Mid, you will have both Wells & Kerridge on the Fwd bench?

                  Banga · 02/06/2016 at 12:26

                  Nah, Kerridge and Tracca

                    Judas · 02/06/2016 at 12:36

Another option is to go the other way…
                    Downgrade Kennedy to Paine
                    Upgrade Hartley to McVeigh

                    Judas · 02/06/2016 at 12:38

Or any premo backline player depending on your $$$ but McVeigh is best value at moment!

                    Banga · 02/06/2016 at 12:38

I was thinking more Simpson, but worry is Paine isn't scoring great and could be a bust and earn under 100k

                    Judas · 02/06/2016 at 12:43

Job security is good with Brisbane. Only need one big week for his price to start jumping! There is always a Gorrigde who can swap in Ruck for flexibility @ 222k!

                    Banga · 02/06/2016 at 12:48

Yeah only problem with Gorringe is his JS, not sure if he is in their best 22. ALso with Positive breakeven, wont make that much money, like the ruck backup ability.

I agree Paines JS is good, and your not wrong, one big week and he starts making money!

                    Judas · 02/06/2016 at 13:25

Another option could be trade in Tippett or Lycett in Fwd.

                    Banga · 02/06/2016 at 13:28

True, but im not sure if i like somethat that expensive ending up as bench coverage.

                    Judas · 02/06/2016 at 13:56

I'm in the same position & I'm looking at Collins & Dahlausin Hartley & Kennedy out.

Slatsy · 01/06/2016 at 20:27

Any love for Trent McKenzie if he passes the fitness test? I know he'll be inconsistent, but at 200k he is good for some cash generation and bench coverage i reckon.

    HOLLA · 01/06/2016 at 20:38

Zero love. He'll be cheaper after a few more games aswell

    Leeds17 · 01/06/2016 at 20:40

Actually a very interesting trade, would want KK, May and Thompson all back so he can play 3rd tall.

    I N Pieman · 01/06/2016 at 20:49

The reason I passed on Hopper. Can't bring both in. Astute buyer section Slatsy. Wouldn't bring him in first week but

    Blueth · 02/06/2016 at 10:30

great stuff, very interesting. My D6 is Hurnman so i could DG him to McKenzie in a few weeks and make some moolah. It's hard finding def rookies, i'm gonna keep an eye on Trent

    Harry · 02/06/2016 at 14:32

Yep he's on my watchlist as D7. Have a plan DBJ to him in a couple of weeks

    LEKD0G · 02/06/2016 at 19:04

    Didn't get named

wint · 01/06/2016 at 20:34

Really need help with my team as i have no idea what to do

DEF: Shaw, Docherty, Laird, Enright, Tippa, Byrne (Ruggles, Collins)
MID: Danger, Hanners, Ablett, Ward, Shiel, Priddis, Zieball, Lewis (Hewett, Davis, Gresham)
RCK: Gawn, NicNat (Lorensch)
FWD: Dusty, Hall, Boomer, Kerridge, DeGoey, Petracca (Benken, non palying rookie)

$8,000 in the bank i am new to supercoach so thoughts would be appreciated

    Kev · 01/06/2016 at 21:20

BK is the obvious problem, he should be traded. However, as you've got no swing in the midfield to get mathieson I'd probably lean towards holding. I'm with Lek, don't like Paine as a downgrade. BK facing a 7k price drop, so not the end of the world.

      wint · 01/06/2016 at 21:23

what about DeGoey BE is over 100 could just trade him to chad wingard

    Bigballsboys · 02/06/2016 at 10:10

Downgrade Ben ken to Paine or Howard and then get premium

I N Pieman · 01/06/2016 at 20:36

Those of you considering Robbie Gray this week. Expect a close tag from Greenwood or Crisp. He will be harassed

    Southern S · 01/06/2016 at 21:21

Yep I've left him for next week or later has a 78 BE so shouldn't increase too much, especially with the tag as you say.

      I N Pieman · 02/06/2016 at 09:02

73 AV against next 2 opponents & a 68 AV at the MCG. Don't move heaven & earth to get him in

        Southern S · 02/06/2016 at 11:59

That 53 will vanish though expect a pretty low BE next week.

davo · 01/06/2016 at 20:40

Is lachy neale the real deal?

    Leeds17 · 01/06/2016 at 20:42

    105 i reckon

    I N Pieman · 01/06/2016 at 20:50

Last years question Davo. He sure is. Pill magnet

    The Mountain · 01/06/2016 at 21:08

I brought him in last week, will average over 110 and with no fyfe for the year and mundy still out he is running the midfield

      hedski · 01/06/2016 at 21:59

Sure will so expect FW Ross to "rest" him

    Danners · 01/06/2016 at 21:38

Reminds me of B.Ellis last year, but Neale should be able to keep it up

Shaq · 01/06/2016 at 20:53

Jack Viney. Beast. HOLD.

    I N Pieman · 01/06/2016 at 21:07

I would hold. 4 weeks of which 2 are compromised by byes & 18 top players only. I'd look at it as 2. Hold

      LEKD0G · 02/06/2016 at 19:05

      Good points Pie

poloko48 · 01/06/2016 at 20:55

My current rookie situation and how I determine who to trade:

AMT $368300 av 76.3 / last 3 av 82.7 / BE 43 – keep, BE lower than both averages, trade after byes
Wagner $288500 av 64.9 / last 3 av 56.0 / BE 48 – keep, but may be due next week, hoping to break $300K
Ruggles $246300 av 60.5 / last 3 av 63.7 / BE 31 – keep, may have another couple of weeks before culling
Hartley $294200 av 62.3 / last 3 av 51.3 / BE 95 – injured, trade when back in, use as E loophole where possible
Brand $163100 av 54.3 / last 3 av 54.3 / BE 0 – keep until after byes, will get game time now with Spangher out

Smith $288200 av 74.2 / last 3 av 76.0 / BE 28 – keep until after byes
Davis $228200 av 56.7 / last 3 av 63.0 / BE -19 – keep until after byes
Keays $235500 av 60.2 / last 3 av 59.3 / BE 39 – keep until after byes

Petracca $277200 av 73.2 / last 3 av 72.3 / BE 10 – keep until after byes
Kerridge $387800 av 83.7 / last 3 av 80.0 / BE 60 – may upgrade in a couple of weeks to maybe Wingard
D Riolo $218500 av 45.8 / last 3 av 46.3 / BE 28 – injured (? – not on updated injury list), keep as bench cover, slow burn.

Current full team (15 trades, $118.3K in the bank)

DEF: Heater, Bartel, AMT, Laird, Wagner, Ruggles (Hartley, Brand)
MID: Danger, Hanners, Parker, Ward, Jelwood, Libba, Priddis, Wines (JSmith, Davis, Keays)
RUC: Goldy, Gawn (MKing)
FWD: Zorks, Buddy, Tippett, Hall, Wells, Petracca (Kerridge, DRioli)

    Gary · 02/06/2016 at 09:40

Your defence is incredibly so upgrading wagner to a premo is your first priority 100%. Downgrading someone like hartley to Collins next week looks like the go.

      Gary · 02/06/2016 at 09:41

      incredibly weak*

        poloko48 · 02/06/2016 at 09:49

Yeah I know but DEF has been so up & down this year it was always going to be my last line to upgrade. I was going to bring in Houli earlier in the season and so glad I didn't! Best case though is I have around $420K for upgrade if I trade Wagner, which means I'll need to paint the fence. Thinking I'll hold off to conserve trades instead.

The Mountain · 01/06/2016 at 21:09

Option 1 is the only real option, its way to late to bring cox in, but I wouldnt be trading kerridge out yet

    Stevo · 01/06/2016 at 21:19

Perhaps the only option though Kerridge appears the only way to get Tippet in. Other forwards are full premo.

Michael · 01/06/2016 at 21:09

Hey guys so this is the team my dad and myself co-manage. Take a look and tell me what you think.

DEF: Shaw, Simpson, Bartel, Laird, AMT, DBJ. ( Hartley & Brand)
MID: Dangerfield, Hannebery, Pendlebury, Parker, Ablett, Libba, Priddis, Smith. (Hewett, Keays, Macpherson)
RUCK: Gawn, Nic Nat. (Grimley)
FWD: Martin, Zorko, Montagna, Hall, Wells, Petrecca. (Brown & Crocker)

15 trades remaining but not doing any trades this week.
$167,000 in the bank!
Next week trading Hartley to S. Collins if he does well and upgrading Hewett or Smith to R. Gray

Any thoughts??

    Southern S · 01/06/2016 at 21:23

    Sounds like a solid plan.

    Derek · 01/06/2016 at 21:29

I would do next weeks trades this week. What are you waiting for?

      Michael · 01/06/2016 at 21:45

Cheers for the feed back guys!

Derek the team we are versing this week isn't that strong and we are predicted to win well so we could hold out one more week and also save cash by waiting for smith to make a bit more then jump on Gray. Plus we get one more look at Collins before trading him in

        Dave · 01/06/2016 at 22:00

If you wait this week, Gray could very well go up just as much as Smith or Hewett and you miss the production

          Michael · 01/06/2016 at 22:57

But would that be leaving too few trades left for the season with about 12-13 rounds left including finals??

        Derek · 01/06/2016 at 23:00

you might just be able to do Hartley to Collins and McPherson to RGray.

          Michael · 01/06/2016 at 23:07

$4k short unfortunately… what about gibbs or neale or is RGray just as good and cheaper?

Wayno76 · 01/06/2016 at 21:17

During the bye rounds if you have 18 players on the ground but only one Ruck does it mater as it scores from your top 18 players or do you need 2 rucks on the ground?

    poloko48 · 01/06/2016 at 21:23

Top 18 Wayno regardless of position.

    ABC123 · 01/06/2016 at 21:24

No just the top 18 players. But you would like to field 20 or 22 if possible, then it take the top 18 scores

    Wayno76 · 01/06/2016 at 21:26

Thanks will be on two rounds only 18 in round 15 (without trading)

    Derek · 01/06/2016 at 21:31

Only your best 18, positions don't matter. They do need to be onfield though

Kev · 01/06/2016 at 21:22

2. Hartley only had a few more weeks left in him anyway, and macpherson will be gone a long time. You still need cash generation as we approach the byes

Southern S · 01/06/2016 at 21:22

Lycett is a better deal than Tippet.

Luviboy1 · 01/06/2016 at 21:30

Brilliant work Lek.
135k and 19 trades. Want to strengthen my current midfield this week (Pendles, Danger, Ward, Gaz, Gray, Libba, BenKen, Petracca, (Smith, Keays, Hetwett) Would like some opinions on which option I should take here:
-Benken and Hewett to Mathieson and Neale with 40k left
-Benken and Kerridge to Collins (via DPP Adams/Tippa restoring DEF/FWD link) and Neale with 140k left
-Benken and Menaude to Collins (via DPP "….") and a >587k midfielder
Very keen on Neale, but if I was to take last option who out of, Parker, JPK, Cotchin, Steven, Priddis should I grab? Thanks.

    Danners · 01/06/2016 at 21:41

I like the look of Neale as well, but you've missed the bus. $600k is a bit too much to pay for him when you could get Priddis/Steven/Parker for at least $60k cheaper. But trade Benken and Menadue, the others still have cash to make

      Luviboy1 · 01/06/2016 at 21:48

Thanks Danners, hope to pick Neale up eventually, possibly when he drops in cash. Bloke is a ball magnet and a great POD at that. How do we think Steven will fare against Adelaide?

    LEKD0G · 02/06/2016 at 19:06

    I like option B mate

Campbell · 01/06/2016 at 21:36

S Martin & B Kennedy to either Goldstein or NicNat and either and Dahlhaus or anyone in 520k in forward.
Which players to get?

    Swansong · 01/06/2016 at 23:41

    Goldy possibly injured

      Goldy is injured

    LEKD0G · 02/06/2016 at 19:06

NicNat and Dahl would make delicious inclusions, cheaper forward option is Buddy

Tommo09 · 01/06/2016 at 21:36

Team before trades
Def: Shaw, Adams, Docherty, Tippa, DBJ, Brown (Laird, Byrne)
Mid: Danger, GAJ, Parker, Pendles, Hannebery, Libba, Priddis, Hopper (Keays, Smith, McPherson)
Ruc: Goldy, NicNat (Grimley)
Fwd: Martin, Franklin, Barlow, Hall, Wells, Kerridge (Kennedy, Petracca)

Thinking Kennedy and MacPherson for Mathieson and Collins

Think its time for Marc Murphy to go, 2-3 weeks (could be longer) seems too long to hold and with byes coming up will be useless.

    LEKD0G · 02/06/2016 at 19:07

    5 weeks probably, trade

deman · 01/06/2016 at 21:51

kolodjashnij to mcdonald?
been absolutely dying to get rid of this spud for months but always have more important trades to make

    Steeeve · 01/06/2016 at 22:40

Just wait and get someone proven mate. I've got KK as well. We've been through enough with one inconsistent spud, don't bring in another.

TMac has only ever had one good year, last year. Every other year was like this one.

Neverweaken · 01/06/2016 at 22:28

Lekdog stole my POD. Last podcast comments I talked about McDonald as a cheap defender who has performed in the past. Grrrrrrr.
Or wait. Does that mean I'm on the right track. Thoughts Lekdog?

    LEKD0G · 02/06/2016 at 19:08

I think you're on the right track, he caught my eye on the weekend…heavily considering especially because I can go straight from hartley

liam · 01/06/2016 at 22:33

Have 500k to spend on a premium defender (needs to have a round 13 bye)
Should I go with
Risk it with Howe and the DPP

Laird but I wouldn't go this week, missed a lot of footy

Steeeve · 01/06/2016 at 22:38

This week thinking MacPherson to Mathieson and BenKen (if named) to Sam Collins. If BenKen can't play I'll wait for Collins to bubble up.
Will leave me with 19 trades and $375k.

Good idea?

    Leeds17 · 02/06/2016 at 05:46

assuming Mathieson & Collins are both on the bench I don't mind it

      50_Shades · 02/06/2016 at 07:39

McPhersons got late sat/sun games for the next 5-6 weeks, I think I'm gonna hold to loophole the best rookie score from JSmith, BKeaysand Hewett until I can fill it as those up the ramp to the slaughtered house… Only concern is cash generation.

        Steeeve · 02/06/2016 at 09:06

Yeah Mathieson will at least give me cash generation. My other option is to downgrade George Hewett (or even Josh Smith) but I haven't wrung all the cash out of them yet…

Smote · 02/06/2016 at 01:42

Cheers everybody
Got a question about Blicavs…. how do you shift him from ruck to mid 8 as Lekdog suggested?
What other players have the same dual position as Blicavs? Or have i misunderstood Lekdogs advice?
Thanks in advance

    Rick Grimes · 02/06/2016 at 08:23

You have to trade a mid. When you do so it will put an S beside Biclavs and you can move him to mid and pick a new ruck.

    Kev · 02/06/2016 at 08:25

No others have mid/ruck dpp, so you can only shift him in a trade. You know how to dpp trade, right?

    Derek · 02/06/2016 at 08:46

no one else is Mid/Ruc. Annoying there isn't anyone to swing with

You trade out someone in your mids, say Mills, hit the big S button next to Blicavs and then trade in a Ruckman, say Gawn.

It moves Blicavs to mids and puts Gawn in ruck

      Smote · 02/06/2016 at 12:45

Cheers fellas .. yep still a novice at this but appreciate the advice and will move the underperforming Blicavs into my midfield now.

        LEKD0G · 02/06/2016 at 19:11

I think it's a strong move if you bring in a gun ruck. Blicavs should still average over 100

Blake · 02/06/2016 at 07:43

Who is there to trade in for $410,800?

    Rick Grimes · 02/06/2016 at 08:24

No one really. This stage of the season it's premos or nought.

    Kev · 02/06/2016 at 08:27

If you want a premo there's nothing at that price. Lek mentioned TMac at 391k if you've got massive plums

      Blake · 02/06/2016 at 08:30

      That is trading BenKen out.
If I trade KK out I have $432,500

Blake · 02/06/2016 at 08:28

Do I trade KK or BenKen and who for?

    LEKD0G · 02/06/2016 at 19:11

The GOAT · 02/06/2016 at 08:33

anything wrong with going a kerridge to s. mitchell upgrade this week? seeing as it fits my bye structures well..

    Steeeve · 02/06/2016 at 09:09

I wouldn't personally. S Mitchell has been a major disappointment since his blistering start.
Not sure how much money you have to play with but with the same (Hawthorn) bye you could select:
Lachie Neale, Joel Selwood, Callan Ward, Dylan Shiel, Stephen Coniglio or my personal preference (but you need the aggats) Tom Rockliff.

      Kev · 02/06/2016 at 09:25

Byes are a week away after this one. Kerridge still has more money to make and as steve said, there are better options

Blake · 02/06/2016 at 08:42

Any options for KK

Do I trade BenKen?
I will have $410,800 to replace him.

    JamiesNinjas13 · 02/06/2016 at 10:47

Mate don't expect a response every hour. Yes you should trade BenKen. Only person I may find that has a good potential under 410 is Brodie Smith via DPP swing. Otherwise you should downgrade Kennedy instead because there's no other fallen players who could become solid premiums

Blake · 02/06/2016 at 09:33

My team is:

Shaw, Doherty, AMT, Adams, DBJ, KK (K.Collins, Joyce)
Danger, Pendles, Parker, Zaha, Libba, Motlop, Wells Hopper (Oliver, J.Smith, Davis)
Goldy, Gawn (Cox)
Martin, Hall, Kerridge, BenKen, Wingard, Petracca (Simpkin, Chol)

15 trades left $67,400 in the bank.

Dice · 02/06/2016 at 09:38

Why isn't anyone talking about Darcy Tucker down back??
Should definitely slot straight back in and for the long haul, been killing it in the WAFL with plenty of run off half back.
I know who i'd be choosing over he and Collins

    Southern S · 02/06/2016 at 11:44

He lost his spot that's why nobody is talking about him?

      marcus · 02/06/2016 at 12:27

see if he gets a game this week

    Realist · 02/06/2016 at 12:44

because Lyon has stated he needs to work on his defensive game…hence the extended stint in the WAFL…

      Dice · 02/06/2016 at 13:11

He'll be in this week and he'll stay in hopefully.
And if he stays in he'll definitely avg more than Collins, by a bit too i reckon

rod · 02/06/2016 at 09:50

24 trades left sitting in top 1000 and top of league…..SC life is great. Best SC pick ups for me this year have been Docherty, Gawn, Gibbs, Danger, Goldy, Shaw, Wells, Shiel, Kelly, Scully, Lachine Hunter all in from Rd 1…Key was to leave out Barlow, Fyfe, Gaz, Rockliff, Houli, all that were under consideration, but decided not to go for in the long run.

Also, I don't have Ess rejects and fill-ins like Dea, Brown, Bird, Simpkin like a lot of SCers have – my view was would never score consistently. My strategy was to go with gun rookies – Hopper, Petracca, Mills, Davis all in my team from Rd 1

    Rick Grimes · 02/06/2016 at 09:55

Wow my hero. Was there a point here or are you just big-noting?

    Mason · 02/06/2016 at 09:56

Excellent strategy in the wash-up Rod. Seems to have worked well. I had Fyfe, Gaz, Rocky, Houli, Viney, Barlow, Greene, Cloke….clearly didn't work out the same. Injuries and Trav have killed my SC season…oh well my times freed up now to mow lawns and do things around the house rather than spend hours and hours on SC!!!!

    Powerage · 02/06/2016 at 10:08

Yep, know the feeling Rod, but means nothing when it comes to knockout finals and some of your guns decide to have a bad day!

    Sean · 02/06/2016 at 10:46

I started with essendon rookies and gaz fyfe rocky and i am ranked top 100 with 20 trades left. Supercoach can be won in many ways so i dont get your point

    SWRoosterXXX · 02/06/2016 at 11:40

Would question your description of Davis as a "gun" rookie???

      Southern S · 02/06/2016 at 11:43

    Southern S · 02/06/2016 at 11:43

Isn't your team going to be worth bugger all though and drop off later?

    Southern S · 02/06/2016 at 12:12

What I mean is how is your team going to be worth anything if you didn't get AMT, Ben Ken etc etc.

Mills made bugger all, Hopper who knows, Davis sloooooow burn, Petracca hasn't peaked.

Lots of the so called rejects have been the best rookies of the season. Just feel like your team will drop off when other people have a full team of premo and ultra premos.

Anyway good luck Rod you look like you're in a good spot right now.

rod · 02/06/2016 at 10:05

No just big noting!!!….Kidding, point is not to get roped in by cheat sheets or what everyone else says or does. The sites been banging on about Brown, Simpkin, Bird, Dea from beginning of season. Just go with your gut. At the end of the day LUCK plays a lot in this game and over the years I've been on both sides of that equation….

    Powerage · 02/06/2016 at 10:18

What would be your opinion on Martin? Hold or trade?

    smart as s · 02/06/2016 at 13:32

dea made over 200k, tippu over 250, brown & hartley 200k each, cant see your point. u missed on great cash cows imo.

      smart as s · 02/06/2016 at 13:41

all those teams similar to yours have done very well till now, but if u missed one of those 10 rookies someone posted below, u have no chance of competing. Going outside the box was good till now, watch the rest of the season pondering why u didnt go with this community. but you will learn 🙂

rod · 02/06/2016 at 10:26

I'd hold Martin. I think he'll come good. Bottom line is even if you trade, no guarantee unless you can trade in Goldy, Gawn that other similar priced rucks will score better than Martin.

breakevens · 02/06/2016 at 10:57

This year's best rookies so far

1. AMT
2. Wells
3. Kerridge
4. Ben Kennedy
5. Dea
6. Adams
7. DBJ
8. Hartley
9. Brown
10. Smith

    jezzahill · 02/06/2016 at 14:33

Nic Nat for mine – more consistent week-to-week

Jess_coach · 02/06/2016 at 11:32

Wines to R. Gray, or spend abit more for ultra premium?

    Cliffy · 02/06/2016 at 11:33

A similar dilemma I have Jess.

    The Ranger · 02/06/2016 at 11:58

Tricky one Jess, I only sideays trade premiums before the byes if I absolutely have to and if I did it would be to the very best I could get without leaving me completely skint. In saying that Gray is a pretty good option.

    Southern S · 02/06/2016 at 12:13

Don't mind that trade. Gray has every chance to be an ultra premo again. People were locking him in for 600k at the start of the year with no hesitation.

    Bolton's Blues · 02/06/2016 at 12:28

someone said above, something like Gray has an avg of mid 80s for his next 2 matches, will get close attention this week from Greenwood

      Moustachio · 02/06/2016 at 15:41

Just looked this up, it's 73 against both Pies and Dogs 😮

Cliffy · 02/06/2016 at 11:35

And another dilemma as well I have this week community:

A question guys for this week:

Trade or persist with Stef Martin? Thought it was looking like a great pick with him and Gawn as my Ruck set at the start of the season, but since the Steven May KO and West coming into and staying in the team, it has really hurt Martin's output, with 2 scores in the 40s last 2 weeks being a real concern for me.

My first option is that I can deal with him this week (requiring 2 trades) in doing a downgrade to Mathieson with BenKen in order to trade Martin up to a Goldy/Nic Nat, before he goes under $400k.

My second option is to just hold onto him until byes and just continue to use my trades in order to finish upgrading my team elsewhere. Martin after all has the Rd 15 bye which is handy in terms of fielding players come byes.

Really unsure, what do you all reckon?

    mark · 02/06/2016 at 12:43

If trent west plays this week trade martin. If trent west gets dropped keep him. Josh walker kicked 5 in the 2s and west has done nothing to keep his spot.

winters · 02/06/2016 at 11:40

seen many people asking the question best fwd under 500k or under 450k and for those people here is a suggestion in Justin 'the hoff' Westhoff who is 444k
– He is in 0.8% of teams
– avg of 83 but if you take out the two 20's at the start of the year when port got smashed his avg would then be 97
– has avg 90+ the last 3 years
-Plays fantasy friendly role (gets hitouts, goes loose behind the ball)
-3/5 round avg of 93/97
-with not a lot cows fattening he provides value at 444k
-Would be a reliable D6 or D7
-R14 bye
-an in the time that Lobbe has been out the past 5 weeks the hoff has booted 7 goals averaged 18 touches, 6 marks, 4 clearances, four inside 50's and 97 points
– Against Melbourne last week the hoff played most centre bounces lined up on the wing and going third man up, whilst floating behind the ball

to me 444k seems to be a deal plus he is a massive POD

Shake n bake · 02/06/2016 at 11:42

I know it's a bit early but do we wack vc on Gawn? And look to Danger as capt at home to gws? What are the community doing? P.s I don't have goldy.

    hedski · 02/06/2016 at 12:04

Thats the way I'm going at the moment shaker.
Have Goldy so hope he plays but I got Tippet in last week for cover.

    Southern S · 02/06/2016 at 12:07

Looks ok not sure how well Gawn will go vs McEvoy and Ceglar.

I'm probably going to vice Danger and captain Ablett/Hannebery

      Shake n bake · 02/06/2016 at 12:14

Got me thinking, they don't have Viney as well to shark his hit outs.

        Southern S · 02/06/2016 at 12:15

They'll probably go third man up a lot to negate Gawn's impact as well, but I don't know just throwing guesses out there.

        Southern S · 02/06/2016 at 12:17

Looking at this season, Gawn never scores really big twice in a row. But people always try to vice or captain him after a big one. Burns.

          Shake n bake · 02/06/2016 at 12:25

Maybe Zorko into Danger might go even better with Rocky back.
          Danger into Pendels maybe?

            Southern S · 02/06/2016 at 13:06

Like Danger into Pendles a lot.

    Leeds17 · 02/06/2016 at 12:45

I'm Martin into Danger at the moment but a little worried Agsinst GWS who do tend to keep Mids scores low.

      Southern S · 02/06/2016 at 13:05

Cats at home after two losses you'd expect them to come out firing. They will probably shut down the corridor like Crows did too.

    jezzahill · 02/06/2016 at 14:38

Interesting to note that every time Gawn goes massive, he's largely disappointing the next week. 172 v North, then 105 v Pies. 160 v Tigers, then 96 v Saints. 174 v GC, then 49 v Dogs. I'm going Danger into Pendles personally.

Southern S · 02/06/2016 at 12:05

Jack Trengove back.

    Bolton's Blues · 02/06/2016 at 12:39

I either trade out Dunkley or Davis early to get him, trade MacPherson to him or decrease the strength of my mids (trade libba) to get him, will be paying close attention to him for the next 2 weeks

    Northernsoul74 · 02/06/2016 at 13:17

Is this going to effect anyone from bringing in Mathirson this week? Could skip and wait for Trengrove.

      The Ranger · 02/06/2016 at 14:16

I'll be getting both. Need the coin.

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 02/06/2016 at 13:32

Not ideal would have preferred him to play his first game next week.
Will now play 3 before his bye so if u want him will have to trade in Rd 13 before he goes up then next week he has the bye so u r trading in a zero.

      The Ranger · 02/06/2016 at 14:15

I don't mind that too much
The zero is obviously not ideal but downgrading to a solid option in Rd 13 gives me cash to spend the following week.
Any decent rookies at this time of the year are gold!

      John · 02/06/2016 at 13:06

What? I'm asking for advice smartass

Dan · 02/06/2016 at 12:20

Those stressing about having to trade out multiple people like myself with Hartley Kennedy Brown, Kerridge, Byrne Jones all to go soon, just relax. Some people won't be making their BEs but they won't depreciate much and there aren't many downgrade opportunities left. Hold blokes like Hartley and Macpherson if you have playing players with high BEs. They won't lose money if they aren't playing. Prioritize your trades.

Downgrade Ruggles to Collins?

    John · 02/06/2016 at 12:56

Ruggles might still go up in price the next time he plays though? Would it be better to downgrade brown?

      Tommo · 02/06/2016 at 12:57

Doesnt matter really, i just picked ruggles due to Brown being DPP, if you have everyone playing on field in defense, then pick Brown.

        John · 02/06/2016 at 13:06

        Alright cheers mate

Merrijigmug · 02/06/2016 at 12:57

Well put Dan. Completely agree and I am keeping MacPherson because he isn't worth much, can play and will return later on. Far too many trigger happy SCers out there. More than any other year, people are trying to fixate their teams now instead of being patient. There will be more injuries and trades will be needed at finals time and before.

    Derek · 02/06/2016 at 13:23

i still think you should be looking at making more cash as quick as possible. however, i have always said to squeeze every last cent from the rookies. Rookies like McPherson must be traded, i traded him the week after he was injured. he isn't going to make you any cash, get him out for someone who will.

if you don't make cash, you won't get to full premium.

Moosehead · 02/06/2016 at 13:20

After trading Menadue and BenKen I will have $615K. I am after a top mid/fwd. Zorko is in amazing form but is expensive, although I can afford him. So, I am leaning towards Dahlhaus. Thoughts?

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 02/06/2016 at 15:36

    Zorko is the top mid/fwd

Francis · 02/06/2016 at 13:51

Is anyone bringing Mathieson in this week? Does he have good JS?

    jezzahill · 02/06/2016 at 14:42

I'll bring him in if Rockliff's return doesn't tip him out of the team.

    LEKD0G · 02/06/2016 at 19:15

    Been dropped

Harley · 02/06/2016 at 15:21

Ok, really needing some advice on what I could possibly do from here as I'm stuck at what my next move should be as I have a few holes in my team that need fixing. I have 16 trades left, $27 k in bank and ranked in top 5000. Probably to far back to make any inroads but not giving up. My defence and mid upgrades are most important I think. Team is

Def: shaw, docherty, B.smith, Dea, AMT, DBJ
(Sheridan, brown)

Mid: danger, ablett, Parker, priddis, cripps, Barlow, kerridge, hopper ( Davis, keays, Hewitt)

Ruck: goldy, Gawn (Wyatt)

Fwd: zorko, merrit, hall, Greene, Waite, wells
(Kennedy, petracca)

Option 1. Take a risk and trade Waite to wingard and Dea to mcveigh? That gives me possibly 2 premos providing they bounce back to last years form.

Option 2. Trade Kennedy to Collins via DPP then trade Hewitt to R. Gray Or even Waite to R. Gray and swing Barlow down and have $200 k left over in kitty.

Option 3. Trade Kennedy to Collins and Waite to hannebery or pendleberry? Although I think my full premium upgrades should wait till after the bye's.

Or if anyone has a better idea? Cheers and thanks in advance

Fishman · 02/06/2016 at 16:39

Looking for the best DPP ruck, so I can cover Goldy this week (If needed) then park them on the field somewhere else for the rest of the year. My options look like Lycett, Tippett or Blicavs. I missed the cox boat, currently have Grimley on the bench up front. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cooper · 02/06/2016 at 19:01

Jacko · 02/06/2016 at 19:35

Dahlhaus or Montagna better option??

    Matt · 02/06/2016 at 21:42

Matt · 02/06/2016 at 21:20

Does anyone think Sam Collins will hold his spot in the Freo side for the rest of the year? Im after a solid downgrade option and really need job security in defence.

Also, what does everyone think of trading in Laird (assuming he plays) after so many weeks out? I believe he's a top 5 defender when fit but just worried he might take a couple weeks to get back into it.

Sunny Coast Blazers · 02/06/2016 at 23:39
