Supercoach 2016 midpriced forwardsG’day Community, Lekdog here with this weeks cheat sheet.

Normally I’d complain about all of the injuries and poor scores and the fact that I traded Houli in two weeks ago but today I’m just going to give a shout out to Jarryd Roughead who is really battling with his health.

It really puts it all in perspective so do yourselves a favor community and just keep this brilliant bloke in your thoughts. Here’s hoping he gets better soon!

Alright let’s get into the cheat sheet and I’ll see you in the comments

Worth waiting one more week for Priddis?

    Tommo09 · 18/05/2016 at 19:40

    I am

    Tommo · 18/05/2016 at 19:41

i reckon mate. If he scores 150, he still will only be 513k or so.

    jockreynolds · 18/05/2016 at 19:41

No harm in waiting if you need to – although this week would be the perfect week to snag him I reckon

      Dillon Panthers · 19/05/2016 at 12:24

Jock you wonderful being do you feel it is possible to have Simpson and Docherty in the same backline? I have Bart and on Lekdogs beautiful advice am looking arousingly at bring the doc in.

        LEKD0G · 19/05/2016 at 13:37

I see no issue with having both. Rowe going into the ruck this week could impact the backlines scoring

    Danners · 18/05/2016 at 19:47

Yes, doesn't average the best against Port

    Dan · 18/05/2016 at 21:27

I am getting him in this week for Houli via Brown and Kennedy DPP switch.

    Shake n bake · 18/05/2016 at 21:41

Can't get him doesn't suit my bye structure.

      LEKD0G · 19/05/2016 at 13:37

      Smart looking ahead mate

Mitch · 18/05/2016 at 19:38

Hold wells or not? How significant is his injury?

    Tommo · 18/05/2016 at 19:41

Should only bee another week, should hold.

    Danners · 18/05/2016 at 19:46

Wait a week see what happens

    Nathan · 18/05/2016 at 19:49

I am very concerned with what I'm hearing from the Roos. I'm guessing he will be out for at least 2, but more likely 3-4 (maybe more?). Astute coaches will hold to wait and see. But me… I have my finger on the trigger and at his price point I can get Pendles in! I can justify turning Wells into an ultimate premo! Can you community?

      Motsy · 18/05/2016 at 20:01

A forward averaging 100 is worth his weight in gold this season, hold

        One Touch · 18/05/2016 at 21:10

        Do a shark move.

      Robot · 19/05/2016 at 12:40

will play v Swans next week – HOLD

    Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 19:59

We should know more by the end of the week.

    Motsy · 18/05/2016 at 20:00

    Just a cork

      Nathan · 18/05/2016 at 20:04

      No, it's his achilles

      Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 20:21

They fooled us by saying it was just a cork last week, so everyone held, as we should. Now it's his dreaded achilles.

    Tophawk · 18/05/2016 at 20:39

I am trading Wells out this week. IMO, the writing is on the wall. The bloke has broken down with a recurring achilles injury. The Roos will manage him closely from here. He will probably miss the next two or three, and from there, they will play him intermittently at BEST! I am going to use the 431K (His current juicy price) to upgrade him to fallen premo like Priddis. Mills will make way for Mc Pherson leaving me loads of cash for future shark moves.

    Cheers

      RoughNuts · 18/05/2016 at 21:33

Definately major concerns for mine also, i think its worth holding however for at least till teams are named next week, he wont drop in price and it gives us a week for Robbie Gray to play again and potentially be sub $500k. The additional week should also allow us to see how serious it is as the Roos have the swans next friday night.

      Tommo · 19/05/2016 at 09:25

Very good points mate, i will most likely hold this week and get rid of him next week, almost a straight swap to a fallen premo.

    Chicken Dinner · 19/05/2016 at 11:32

I made a decision at the start of the year regarding wells, he was a must at his price, but at the recurrence of the injury from last year he was out.

Since this is so, he is out of my team, thanks for the 8 weeks we suspected we were going to get at the start of the season, Taking pendles as I have the pridd already.

      Southern S · 19/05/2016 at 11:50

Wise, then he has no chance to burn you.

LJB · 18/05/2016 at 19:39

What you thoughts on B Crouch?

    Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 19:59

he does have GCS, GWS and saints over the next 3 but I'd be tempted to cull him if you don't have other pressing matters like McCarthy, Menadue, Papley or Mills.

    Boltons blues · 18/05/2016 at 21:23

Has his last chance for me this weekend
If he fails and hopper plays well, instant downgrade and hopper can fill out m8 till after the byes

    LEKD0G · 19/05/2016 at 13:38

Trade him if you have no other issues

Don · 18/05/2016 at 19:40

Is Macpherson a must have? Or a luxury in all the carnage this week?

    Danners · 18/05/2016 at 19:47

Cheapest rookie you can get. A great option for downgrading this week

Tommo09 · 18/05/2016 at 19:41

M.Crouch for MacPherson
And
Kerridge/Wells for Pendles/Priddis

I will only trade wells if he is out for 3 or more

Thoughts community

    Tommo09 · 18/05/2016 at 19:46

Thinking Kerridge to Pendles for second trade

Holding Wells and Priddis can wait a week

      Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 19:56

I'm holding Wells but if this injury ends up affecting the rest of his season then you could regret it.

It's a really tough call but if later in the week reports are that he's out for a couple then cull him and keep kerridge till the byes.

        Tommo09 · 18/05/2016 at 20:01

        Thanks
        Will keep looking

    Beezneez · 19/05/2016 at 11:31

Thinking similar trades myself except Mills for MacPherson. Kangaroos have stated this morning that Wells will be back round 10. My other options instead of Pendlebury include A Treloar, C Ward and D Martin to provide a DPP swing. Both Martin and Priddis are very tempting at their current price(s). Was going to get Docherty this week but Ablett and Wells out have forced my hand to get in a premo mid. Don' t really want to get rid of either Kerridge or Wells but am ranked 800 and want to maintain a reasonable score. The other 2nd trade option would be B Crouch to Ward or Martin with the cash I would have available. Crouch may be out (I doubt it) and this would force these trades.

Tommo · 18/05/2016 at 19:42

Interesting you have Brand as a buy. Thought his JS wasn't too great.

    Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 19:54

The assumption is that he plays for the hawks so has no job security, that assumption really has no merit. (although it's an educated guess because quite often rookies will be in and out of the hawks star studded line up)

From what I've seen of him he looks alright and plays his role. Every team including the Hawks has to play young guys.

The only people I can see taking his spot is Spanger or Schoenmakers, and they need to get games under the young bloke's belt, plus Schoenmakers in my opinion is average to say the least. Spanger struggles to get a regular gig in the team.

Put simply if he keeps doing his job there's no reason he won't stay in the side.

    LEKD0G · 19/05/2016 at 13:39

I think he's found his spot in the side however I've been wrong before

Donald · 18/05/2016 at 19:50

A what!? A Good Community!

    LEKD0G · 19/05/2016 at 13:39

    You're damn right!

Clem · 18/05/2016 at 19:54

I have a dilemma community, i have rookies that have pretty much hit there roof, should I hold or trade the following:
Mitch Brown
Darcy Byrne-Jones
Ryan Davis
Conor Menadue
Sam Kerridge
Tom Papley
Sam Grimley
Marcus adams
You can reply with multiple trades so I have an understanding of who should be gone first,
Cheers.

    Ladds · 18/05/2016 at 20:00

papley is a must and then I'd go Adams

    Tommo · 18/05/2016 at 20:02

Papley has to go first, playing the Hawks this week.
Kerridge, DBJ and Brown will still make some money, hold them.

    Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 20:07

Adams should be back next week, hold on a 68 BE.
Grimley might get a gig soon, at least he's not injured.
Ryan Davis may return this weekend.
Keep kerridge on a 70 BE.
Keep brown on a 53 BE
Keep DBJ on a 63 BE

    Trades

Papley is done with a 29 last week, BE of 56 (similar boat to brown, but Sydney have Hawks and North up next)

Menadue can't score that 80 early in the season was an anomaly, a fluke or some kind of magic. BE of only 48 but he's just not making money.

At least brown if he has a big game vs the saints can get an 80-100. Cull Paps and Menadue.

      Clem · 18/05/2016 at 20:29

      Cheers Mate

james · 18/05/2016 at 20:01

my team is in carnage i currently have no laird houli wells ablett and there has been talk of hall missing and would love some advice on my current team
Defence: Shaw, Enright, HOULI, LAIRD, Tipungwuti, Byrne-Jones (Byrne, Ruggles)
Midfield: Dangerfield, Hannebery, Ward, ABLETT, Shiel, Zieball, Priddis, WELLS (Hewett, Davis, Gresham)
Ruck: Gawn, Naitanui (Lorensch)
Forward: Hall, Martin, Petracca, DeGoey, Kerridge, BKennedy (Menadue, 102k Rookie)

was thinking Houli to Savage as it's just a straight swap and then holding depending on the wells injury or i might get macp

i have 18 trades left $111,200 in the bank what should i do with the players highlited

This is my second year of supercoach and would love some advice on my team

    Tommo09 · 18/05/2016 at 20:04

I would go Houli to Docherty

bailey · 18/05/2016 at 20:02

priddis merrett docherty or montagna

    Bigballsboys · 18/05/2016 at 20:12

Montagna and then priddis next week?

      Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 20:37

      Yeah good options.

Will miss Docherty at a reasonable price though if he keeps performing. (only a BE of 37 this week)

Ron · 18/05/2016 at 20:04

23 Trades – $240k
Def: Shaw, Rich, Seedsman, D Byrne-Jones, Tippa, Brown, Adams, Weitering

Ruc: Gawn, Natanui, Grimley
Fwd: D Martin, A Hall, Zorko, Wells, Kerridge, Barlow, Kennedy, Menadue

Any early advice at this stage before teams? 1 or 2 trade or none. Didn't touch my backline last week and had 4 rookies and a bad seed.
Thanks in advance

Tommo09 · 18/05/2016 at 20:11

My team after trading this week
Any thoughts are welcome

Def: Shaw, Docherty, Tippa, DBJ, Brown, Byrne (LAIRD, ADAMS)
Mid: Danger, Hanners, Pendles, Parker, GAJ, Libba, Kennedy, Smith (Gresham, Keays, MacPherson)
Ruck: Goldy, NicNat (Grimley)
Fwd: Martin, Hall, Barlow???, Franklin, Papley, Petracca (WELLS, Menadue)

Went Kerridge and M.Crouch to Pendles and MacPherson

Any ideas or changes I should make??

    Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 20:12

You couldn't afford the trades with Papley out instead of Kerridge?

      Tommo09 · 18/05/2016 at 20:14

Sorry $427k and 19 trades left
      Will change that

Brent · 18/05/2016 at 20:13

Is anyone else looking at 4 mayb 5 premiums on the bench this week? Crazy never had that much. Also any advice on rockckiffe and Brad crouch? Is rocky back in few weeks?

    Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 20:20

Rockliff is apparently coming back sooner than expected but I don't trust him or the Brisbane Lions to get his body right any more.

      Blueth · 19/05/2016 at 08:16

Heard that before. Last year he broke 2 ribs then came back in a fortnight only to do it again and be out for 2 months. Guy is too tough for his own good. Trade

    Tommo · 19/05/2016 at 09:27

Yeah, i might have 4 this week, Laird, Ablett, Greene and Wells

Jakob · 18/05/2016 at 20:29

What should I do community,
have 19 trades and $158,800 in the bank and these are my two options:
Double upgrade – M.Crouch to JJK and Barlow/Wells to Gibson, both DDP
One upgrade one Downgrade – M.Crouch to Macpherson and Tipungwuti to Gibson
appreciate any help!

    Nicholas · 18/05/2016 at 22:58

Since you are in a similar situation to me I would hod Barlow and Wells due to the limited trades you have left

      Jakob · 19/05/2016 at 08:58

Mmmm I was planning on upgrading all my mid priced and fallen premiums so i can trade all my rookies in the bye rounds, got too many of them, or i should i do that the other way around, rookies first and then mid price and premo

Tophawk · 18/05/2016 at 20:52

Hi community,

That's it. Wells is going this week. I am not going to muck around with this. His Achilles heel has flared up again. These injuries take forever to heal and if the Roos rest him for the next two or three, he is likely to play "intermittently" thereafter for the remainder of this season at BEST!

I was not worried about the quad issue, but this latest development has me forced me to bite the bullet and cut him loose. I will use the juicy 431K to upgrade him to a fallen premo like Priddis this week. I can then downgrade Mills to Mc Pherson which will leave loads of cash for future shark moves.

Cheers

    Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 22:13

It is looking that way, if he's named this week I will hold but I'm not sure I can trust him if they say 1-2.

      Tophawk · 18/05/2016 at 22:26

I really doubt he will play. If anything, that supposed "quad" injury may have been a red herring. The Kangas may have hoped that it was "nothing" and sold it as a quad issue. When they realised it was a indeed a repeat achilles inflamation, they came out with the bad news. My gut tells me its time for him to go.

Wells has been fantastic until now. Hope he recovers soon. But I am cashing him in for new opportunities.

      Cheers

        The Ranger · 19/05/2016 at 10:02

Wells is really buggering up my plans this week.
Like you I'm worried that they will manage that achilles very carefully.

          Beezneez · 19/05/2016 at 11:17

Just FYI: Roos saying via Herald Sun website Wells will be back against Sydney in round 10.

            Southern S · 19/05/2016 at 11:48

Not sure if we can trust that can we?

Fozdaddy · 18/05/2016 at 20:53

Rhys Mathieson debuting this week. This is BIG community!!!

    Tophawk · 18/05/2016 at 20:59

    Indeed Foz.

I will watch him closely and if he does well, I might leave Hopper alone at his 193K pricetag and wait until his bubble moment arrives and grab him instead. I just hope Keays does not get sacrificed to make way for him. That would really give me the shi-ts.

    Cheers

      Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 22:12

There is no way they'll drop Keays, 16 touches last week 12 contested and still managed over 80% efficiency. 5 tackles to go with it.

With Dayne Beams out it would be very surprising if they drop Keays, especially as people like lewis Taylor and Claye Beams did stuff all last game and deserve to be dropped.

Mathieson should come straight in for Dayne.

Eric_the_Red · 18/05/2016 at 21:01

Subbed Wells into my midfield with the intention of upgrading to a Ward/Sidebum/Scully type. Thoughts community? Better options at that price?

    Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 22:20

    Priddis?

    Tommo · 19/05/2016 at 09:30

I have Sidebum and if i were you, i probably would't get him. Consistency is an issue but he is a very nice POD.

    Beezneez · 19/05/2016 at 15:53

Ward's price should drop over the next three rounds. Currently predicted BE's of 139,154 and 123 which could see his price at about 530K prior to round 12.

Pinidu · 18/05/2016 at 21:18

Community,

I have three extremely similar trade options which suit my bye structure and fit my salary cap:
– Docherty + Dusty
– Gibson + Zorko
– Gibson + Dusty
Which one is best?

Cheers

    Boltons blues · 18/05/2016 at 21:26

Doc and dusty for mine mate

    james · 18/05/2016 at 21:26

option 1 mainly because docherty is a lot better than gibson

    Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 22:20

Can't do Doch and Zorko I assume?

      Pinidu · 18/05/2016 at 23:40

Unfortunately not, don't have enough money.

        Southern S · 19/05/2016 at 00:26

That's a really tough call between Doch and Dusty and Gibbo and Zorko.

Can't pick one. maybe Gibbo and Zorko, Zorko just seems like a must have in that forwardline and everyone has dusty.

RoughNuts · 18/05/2016 at 21:40

What are KK owners considering community? I havent sideways traded when no injuries involved for a long long time but his form in the first 8 rounds have been terrible, isn't getting near the ball and looks to be carrying a knee injury. I'm going to pull the trigger and replace with a docherty, McVeigh or Simpson. Enough is enough.

    Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 22:19

It's a tough call but sometimes has to be done. Go with your gut. Hope he doesn't tonne up this weekend 🙂

min0008 · 18/05/2016 at 21:51

Brown to McPherson and Adams to Docherty or
Hewett to McPherson and Wells to Zorko?

    Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 22:17

No.2 if Wells isn't named this week.

If he is guaranteed to play then no.1, although I'd try to keep brown over papley.

Tom · 18/05/2016 at 22:04

love ya work lek, dahl, dusty, montagna or zorko?

    LEKD0G · 19/05/2016 at 13:42

Zorko overall but for value this week it has to be Montagna

Shark · 18/05/2016 at 22:34

Kade Simpson or Sam Docherty. Or other options outside of Boyd Laird Shaw

    Derek · 18/05/2016 at 22:50

Listen to podcast. Don't get any Carlton, get Gibbo

      Nicholas · 18/05/2016 at 23:00

      Why no Carlton Derek?

        Derek · 18/05/2016 at 23:17

Higgo in this weeks podcast believes that Carlton are on a high that won't last. I tend to agree. They beat Freo, Essendon, Collingwood and Port.

They have Norf and Geelong next two. Might get ugly.

Buying Simpson and Doc at their peak prices.

          Derek · 18/05/2016 at 23:19

          I think McVeigh looks value

          Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 23:24

Simpson and Doch have scored consistently through their losses and wins this season, that point just doesn't make sense to me when looking at the stats (no offence Higgo!)

Docherty has a way better kick to handball ratio than Gibbo.

          Doch 116 kicks – 75 handballs.

          Gibbo 77 kicks – 85 handballs

He also takes more marks per game

          Doch 64 marks

          Gibbo 43 marks

Note that Gibbo has played one less game than Doch when looking at the stats.

You're right about Simpson being topped out on price not so sure about Docherty though the way he's going. he should finish the year around the 500k mark maybe above if he keeps it up.

          Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 23:26

Not saying Gibbo isn't a good buy but he also seems to get a few less possessions per game too, Simpson literally racks them up. Gibbo is quite often under 20 and his average possessions have been propped up by that 44 disposal game earlier in the year.

          Tophawk · 18/05/2016 at 23:40

Blues a sneaky chance to knock North off this week. Shinboners were not convincing against the bombers and also fell over the line in 2 other matches this season. No certainties by any means. No Wells and Higgins depletes their stocks further. I expect Docherty and Simpson to continue to play well for the blues.

            Derek · 18/05/2016 at 23:47

I think we will all struggle to get full premo this year. Rookies are slow.

Might need a value player or two in team, best place will be defence.

            Paying $500k too much

              Southern S · 19/05/2016 at 00:40

It is a valid point the value in defense. With forwards costing so much and most midfielders (bar Priddis and a couple of risky PODs)

              477k Gibbo 102.7 63 BE

              512k Doch 105.9 37 BE

Gibbo is the better value player this week for sure, but not as consistent as his average is propped up by that 191 44 disposal freak show.

That was an impressive game though so we can't exclude it 🙂

Both good options hard to split them.

Like McVeigh in a couple of weeks though, he's going to be my cheap defender that hopefully turns premo-ish. Probably need two of that price range in there though.

The problem with Docherty is his short history, although he was close to averaging 90 last year which is what Gibbo got.

Damnit Derek you have me questioning my choice of Docherty this week now!

                Derek · 19/05/2016 at 09:57

my current defence is: Shaw, laird, Bartel, McVeigh, Rich, BSmith (brown, hartley)

my original plan was to run with this defence for as long as i can. there is still room for a premo, either Upgrade a rookie and keep BSmith as M9/D7 DPP, or just upgrade him if he not getting job done.

I wouldn't mid getting Rance as my next premo defence and having BSmith as my D7 with a loophole. Crows have a really good draw the second half of the year, especially the final 6 games, BSmith with a loophole & DPP might be gold.

                  Derek · 19/05/2016 at 09:58

i'm not going near Gibbo, that was Higgo.

                    Southern S · 19/05/2016 at 11:53

I've decided to lock the Doch this week as I've been telling others to do it I will stick to my guns 🙂

After reviewing his stats last night I'm pretty happy with my selection.

                    Derek · 19/05/2016 at 13:14

                    he will do good.

I'm going to hold on for a bit and see if i can get Rance under $500 later on.

            Boltons blues · 19/05/2016 at 00:03

As a Carlton may self, with the big kru going down aswell as Levi, no Phillips and no ruck stocks, we will struggle in the middle of the park, weitering is a big tall defender we need to hold their talls and we need some more avenues to goal, if jones can pluck a few (I know big if) we could win but we have to shut them down and play that lock down defence that we have done so well this last 4 weeks

              Southern S · 19/05/2016 at 00:41

              Kreuzer is a massive loss.

my concern is trades left – but keep geting forced to trade – Houli – Fyfe – Weitering – Johannsan
most teams i play have Gawn ?

any other ideas ?

Def: H.Shaw, K.Simpson, J.Gibson, Tippa, M.Brown, E.McKenzie, M.Adams, T.Ruggles
Mid: G.Ablett, P.Dangerfield, M.Priddis, L.Parker, D.Hannebery, T.Liberatore, M.Murphy, D.Parish, J.Hopper, C.Oliver, J.Smith
Ruc: T.Goldstein, N.Naitanui, A.Phillips
Fwd: A Hall, L.Franklin, T.Hickey, D.Wells, S.Kerridge, B.Kennedy, C.Petracca, C.Menadue

    Derek · 18/05/2016 at 23:00

You have a lot of upgrades left to do and not many trades left. You might have to keep Libba, Murphy and Wells

Pman35 · 18/05/2016 at 22:40

I'm upgrading Adams to either Simpson or Docherty from Carlton but can't decide who as reckon Docherty provides best value but I think Simpson is more consistent and a proven SC top 6 defender. Thoughts on whose the best trade in option?

    Derek · 18/05/2016 at 22:48

    Listen to what Higgo said.

    Neither. Get Gibbo

      Pman35 · 19/05/2016 at 19:27

Already got Gibbo, had him from day 1/

    Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 23:27

Docherty or Gibbo are the best value premos at the moment I reckon. Get Simpson later his price seems topped out, although if he keeps scoring 120's then I dunno. hard to fault the guy at the moment.

Derek · 18/05/2016 at 22:54

McPherson this week, Hopper next week, then Maitherson. Welcome Montagna, Priddis and Gray.

It would be nice if a couple of defence rookies appeared in a few weeks time

Hawks · 18/05/2016 at 23:14

Need Robbie Gray to play soon. Need his price to continue plummeting before I gt him.

    Tophawk · 18/05/2016 at 23:43

Should be named this week after getting over his calf complaint. Yes!!

Steeeve · 18/05/2016 at 23:36

Going against my plans because I don't want to miss the Prid.
Hewett to MacPherson
Wells to Priddis.

Problem is: my midfield is full premo now and my rookies are MacPherson, Davis (ugh) and Josh Smith. No swing men. So no downgrading to Hopper by the looks. Nobody will probably be ready to cull when Mathieson is on the bubble either…

    Tophawk · 19/05/2016 at 07:52

    Great trades mate. Cheers

    Stevo · 19/05/2016 at 09:52

Looking at the same trades in but don't have DPP mid/fwd swing in midfield. Is this trade still possible?

    Southern S · 19/05/2016 at 11:47

That's the problem with overloading the midfield so early, which many have done, now there's mid rookies popping up everywhere!

    Maybe hold off on Priddis?

Southern S · 19/05/2016 at 00:24

Good point, but as he's not injured and hasn't got back into the side I'm guessing they'd rather give Brand AFL time?

Bomber56 · 19/05/2016 at 00:49

Reversed all my trades. Going to wait until Thursday night and see how many green lights I am missing 🙁

    LEKD0G · 19/05/2016 at 13:43

    That's me too mate

Joshua · 19/05/2016 at 07:16

When Mathieson is on the bubble, will it be time to cull Josh Smith or Ryan Davis? As next week I think I'll go Hewett to Hopper then no other rookie at this stage is ready to cull for Mathieson. Its still 3 weeks away I know, but I'm trying to plan in advance.

Thanks.

    Tommo · 19/05/2016 at 07:31

Thats tough, Davis really hasn't made much money. I would probably go Smith as he has already made us money and will continue to for the next 2-3 weeks. Davis is in that price where you won;t get much for downgrading him, he just has to sit on the pine until he comes back, which may be this week after having 40 touches in the NEAFL.

    Steeeve · 19/05/2016 at 08:19

Both should have cash left to make. But I'll probably look at Smith down to Mathieson to build the war chest.
Neither will be ready to cull next week for Hopper (and in the case of Davis it would be a straight swap). So unless Hopper looks like a keeper at M9 I'll give him a miss.

    Southern S · 19/05/2016 at 11:46

Smith might not be done making money at that stage, davis may have to go then you can upgrade Smith when you have a bit of cash.

Clarky · 19/05/2016 at 07:29

Hi community

Got 2 trade options this week that are very hard to pick between. My first trade is Houli to Gibbo. Going to do this trade no matter what.

Option 1: Brown/Mckenzie for Brand (May not be another defensive downgrade option for a while)
Option 2: Gresham for Macpherson (was going to do Kerridge but may have some money to make)

Please leave you opinions as to which option i should go for.
Thanks

What's everyone's thoughts on Zorko in for Barlow?

    Kev · 19/05/2016 at 08:49

No. If you can cover Barlow *should* be back in this week. Who bloody knows with Ross though

    Beezneez · 19/05/2016 at 15:58

Already have Zorko and did Barlow to Dahlhaus last week with no regrets.

      Beezneez · 19/05/2016 at 16:00

Forgot to add that I had Greene and Wells out as well (used DPP to bring Merrett to fwd).

Blueth · 19/05/2016 at 08:27

If Hall is out on top of Boyd, GAJ, Houli, Wells, Laird, Adams etc….how many folks will be copping a donut?

    Wayno76 · 19/05/2016 at 09:36

I have Hall Boyd Wells and Barlow , I can cover 3 of them so im hoping Ross plays Barlow if not its a Donut for me

    Derek · 19/05/2016 at 10:17

i was so close last week, just had 22. may as well have got a donut with some of the scores, would have an excuse

if barlow and JPK don't play i'll have 22.

although i'm probably going to trade Wells for montagna.

Jacob · 19/05/2016 at 09:03

I have Gresham, Davis and Keays in middle on bench and want to trade out brown for Gibson but bringing in McPherson for any of those mids won't give me enough cash so do I trade Hartley for brand or williams?
Thanks guys

    LEKD0G · 19/05/2016 at 13:43

    Brand if named

Wayno76 · 19/05/2016 at 09:25

After looking at many trade options ive decided to go with-
Paps and Mills – OUT
Brown switch to forward
MacPherson and Docherty – IN.

I will hold Wells for another week and see what news comes out on him( if he has injured his archilles again he might be at his peak sale price and be a good upgrade to Zorko,Dahl or Montagna.

What do you think community, sound alright.

    Southern S · 19/05/2016 at 11:44

    Yep sounds fine

Jakob · 19/05/2016 at 09:31

Is Matt Crouch a must trade with 18 trades left, used one trade this round already, was going to go Priddis, JJK or Hopper
my other trade is weitering to brand.

    Southern S · 19/05/2016 at 11:44

Yep he's spudding it up after being pretty consistent earlier this year.

      Jakob · 19/05/2016 at 14:23

unless another donut pops up hes gone

Tommo · 19/05/2016 at 09:40

Is it worth picking up Gibson this week? Was going to go either Simmo or Doch but i already have 12-13 players out for bye round 1, so kinda screws me.

    Southern S · 19/05/2016 at 11:43

Yep he's pretty good value at 477k and has a low BE of 63.

    LEKD0G · 19/05/2016 at 13:44

He's a really good option this week

Andrew · 19/05/2016 at 09:47

Am I culling the cow too early going Hewett to MacPherson?

    Grahame Lebroy · 19/05/2016 at 09:53

Possibly might miss a little extra cash but I can't see it being anything major. Would be a smart trade, MacPherson should make 150 – 200k I reckon and with GC injuries he should have good JS. If you have Menadue I would trade him first

Stevo · 19/05/2016 at 09:47

Rookie question – How can I get MacPherson & Priddis in if I want to trade Menadue & Wells from Fwd line? I have no DPP swings in midfield right now & wanted to set this up.

Option 2 – Wells & Davis/Gresham to Montagna & Macpeherson

Option 3 – Menadue & Davis/Gresham to Cox (DPP swing) & Hopper.

    Kev · 19/05/2016 at 09:56

    I like option 2.

      Stevo · 19/05/2016 at 10:15

Thanks Kev. Wells may have run his race.

Derek · 19/05/2016 at 09:59

my current defence is: Shaw, laird, Bartel, McVeigh, Rich, BSmith (brown, hartley)

my original plan was to run with this defence for as long as i can. there is still room for a premo, either Upgrade a rookie and keep BSmith as M9/D7 DPP, or just upgrade him if he not getting job done.

I wouldn't mid getting Rance as my next premo defence and having BSmith as my D7 with a loophole. Crows have a really good draw the second half of the year, especially the final 6 games, BSmith with a loophole & DPP might be gold.

    will gates · 19/05/2016 at 10:51

derek its all very well having dpp but smith and rich are proven spuds. Have smith at d7 to score 29 don't think so Derek..rance and Doherty would be better even with no dpp but only my opinion good luck son

      I N Pieman · 19/05/2016 at 11:18

Like the DPP defenders Derek. You need B Williams in your mids to get it happening

      Derek · 19/05/2016 at 11:23

I will look at getting Rance if he becomes cheaper and sit BSmith on the bench with a loophole for the run home.

After the byes, Crows have Melb, Carlton, Pies, cats, Essendon, Lions, Fremantle, Port. to finish season.

      Derek · 19/05/2016 at 11:29

      it wasn't a 29, it was a 22 last week.

      Have a look at brodies other games for the year, 94, 86, 107, 65, 87, 82, 68,

he is clearly capable of scoring well and a solid D6/7

        Southern S · 19/05/2016 at 12:02

It's not too bad he just needs a solid run of 90-100

Wayno76 · 19/05/2016 at 10:07

In the Bye rounds how many players do you need playing ?

    Stevo · 19/05/2016 at 10:13

16 players in bye rounds is about right Wayno

      will gates · 19/05/2016 at 10:54

      hows that u need 18

    The Mountain · 19/05/2016 at 10:22

Your top 18 players will be part of your score for the round

    I N Pieman · 19/05/2016 at 10:35

If you can manage to get 20 onfield your worst 2 scores will be eliminated. With blokes like Spudadue, Papley, Brown & DJB hangaing around we need that this weekend

    Tommo · 19/05/2016 at 11:04

Supercoach take the top 18 players

    Derek · 19/05/2016 at 11:17

your best 18 scores are counted.

if you play the bye rounds well, meaning you have to actually plan for them, not just hope. it is like having better than a loophole. if you can have 21 or 22 play each week of the byes, you will get a few bites at the cherry and make some significant advances on people who are happy with just having 18 or 19 playing each bye week.

    Wayno76 · 19/05/2016 at 13:51

Thanks at this stage I have 18 21 21 for the three bye rounds

Jordan · 19/05/2016 at 10:11

Adams to Doch and Menadue to Kaiden Brand (through DPP) with 285k left
or
Adams to Doch and Mitch Brown to J..Gibson with 5k left

    Southern S · 19/05/2016 at 11:55

    Maybe get the two premos?

Although I'd be tempted to get MacPherson in to make some cash

Grahame Lebroy · 19/05/2016 at 10:14

Sounds like a good plan Derek, having Smith as a D7 is a strong backline on his day he can get a ton. Plus you can change a keeper down the track if you feel the need too.
The SC Gods have taken hold of my backline at this point, I have M.Boyd, Houli and Weitering giving me donuts this weekend and that's just the backline, I won't mention other keepers sitting on the pine in other areas, but like Jock remaining relatively postitive….just.
I have been sticking to my trading strategy the last 3 weeks despite the bad run of outs and think it will pay off in the second half of the season

    I N Pieman · 19/05/2016 at 10:33

Like your thinking there Grahame. Most of these guys not lining up this week effect most. Just do your best to get 22 warm bodies out there & stick to your upgrade strategy. That's what I will be doing. I'll just give Body & Gary & Wells & Adams & probably Barlow a few little see ya soon waves over the weekend

      Grahame Lebroy · 19/05/2016 at 10:39

Its been a character building few weeks lets put it that way Pieman. At least the war chest is ready for when it settles down abit.
Those see ya soon waves could possibly turn into a raising of the middle finger in the near future if the carnage continues

        I N Pieman · 19/05/2016 at 11:04

Agree with that. I had one of & at times both of Rocky & Slone on the pine all of last season. Need to expect having some premos on the pine at times. I may be able to raise the funds to go Spudadue to Montagna this week. If so the middle finger will be raised at that pile of crap

    Derek · 19/05/2016 at 11:30

    lucky you don't have Laird

      I N Pieman · 19/05/2016 at 12:07

Been holding Weit & hoping he & Laird come back same week to complete the upgrade

        Grahame Lebroy · 20/05/2016 at 10:29

Montagna is a great upgrade target this year I reckon, as is Laird. I also looking forward to getting rid of Spudadue just a waist of a footballer and in SC world. Hardwick must see something in him

Liam · 19/05/2016 at 10:46

Is there any rookies coming in the next few weeks ?
Missing MacPherson this week due to Houli and Wells and will probably miss Hopper in order to get Priddis

    I N Pieman · 19/05/2016 at 10:59

Hey Liam. Wells a big chance to play next week. I'd suggest holding him. This week Kiaden Brand is an option down back. Next week Bailey Williams could be an option with Mid/Def rook status. And Rhys Mathieson the following week looks another good option. Personally unless I see another ton from Hopper I don't think it's worth it

      Liam · 19/05/2016 at 11:41

Cheers Pieman. I'm worried about wells. I can either go Wells to Montagna or Davis to MacPherson.

        Liam · 19/05/2016 at 11:50

Or I could go brown and Houli to Gibson and McViegh.

          I N Pieman · 19/05/2016 at 13:08

Don't mind those trades Liam. At this time of the year you should be adding a premo every week one way or another. Those trades certainly tick that box

            Liam · 19/05/2016 at 13:10

Leaning towards option 3, just no sure on McViegh.

              TRIGGER HAPPY · 19/05/2016 at 13:33

I'm holding Houli this then next week can do a straight swap to mcveigh.
Trading paps to brand as Def rooks hard to come by dpp Adams and kerridge to joey.
This way get 22 on field just instead of eating a donut in Def as bench is laird/houli down back and wells/Adams fwd.

    Southern S · 19/05/2016 at 11:40

Big call missing MacPherson, hope you got a couple of Josh Smith/Keays/Petracca and a couple of the defensive bubbles some weeks ago.

      Liam · 19/05/2016 at 11:57

Luckily I did get some a couple weeks ago. Will need to downgrade next week so I'm getting worried with the limited options.

    LEKD0G · 19/05/2016 at 13:45

I reckon Gibbo depending on teams

Youjr · 19/05/2016 at 11:18

Docherty or Simpson ?

    Southern S · 19/05/2016 at 11:37

Docherty seems better value at the moment, also consider Gibbo for 477k

HaloumiMan · 19/05/2016 at 11:38

what are people's thoughts on Wingard? is there a chance of him playing further up the ground as the season goes on? his back half of the season is usually stronger, if he can get up to 90-95 average for remainder of the season he'd be a steal at $370,200…

    Southern S · 19/05/2016 at 11:59

He would, but I'm in no rush to get him in and would rather see him get some form back and pay around 400k for him.

    I N Pieman · 19/05/2016 at 12:47

Firm no for me. I have rookies worth more than him. If he had a role change & played in the guts that would be a different story

Dom · 19/05/2016 at 11:50

Does Gibbo look a top 6 def by the end of the year?

    Southern S · 19/05/2016 at 11:58

Not sure he's been a bit up and down in his scoring. Top 8-10 I reckon for sure.

Shaw, Simpson, Docherty, Bartel, Laird, Boyd, Rance are ahead of him in my opinion. (in no particular order)

      I N Pieman · 19/05/2016 at 13:04

I'd pick all those you mentioned Southern & McVeigh ahead of him

Def: Shaw, Simpson, Rich, McDonald-Tipungwuti, Mitch Brown, DBJ (Laird, Ruggles)

Can someone please explain how I can trade out Papley for McPherson? I don't understand how to execute the different position trade

Press trade on Papley then on the left of your screen there will be your team.
If you have a mid/fwd in the midfield an S will appear next to them, press the S.
The player will be moved into the forwardline.
    Then select MacPherson.
