Kerridge and M.Crouch for

Priddis and Pendles
or
Pendles and MacPherson

    Kev · 17/05/2016 at 16:29

That's a bit of a no brainer when the aim of the game is to get full premium

      Southern S · 17/05/2016 at 16:47

Depends on how they are travelling though may have miised keays and/or Josh smith

    Vinny · 17/05/2016 at 16:31

Up to you really, I would obviously be going with Priddis and Pendles, but if you have to get someone in next week that is very exspenive, maybe the other option.

    Tommo · 18/05/2016 at 09:38

Depends how you are going. If you have a fair amount of rookies already, then go the double upgrade. But if you have missed players like Keays or Smith in recent week, bring Macpherson and Pendles in, and go Priddis next week.

dean · 17/05/2016 at 16:17

currently have 22 trades so considering holding but have:
menadue
m mcgovern
m adams

hold or trade ?

    Vinny · 17/05/2016 at 16:29

Adams out for another week – trade
Ive got Menadue and keeping as he is nor making money, nor losing, so im just holding for now.
    What is McGovern breakeven?
In saying so, paint the fence. Upgrade/Downgrade McGovern/Adams.
    Hope it helps

    Tommo · 18/05/2016 at 09:41

If you believe Menadue and McGovern are bigger priorities and you have defensive cover, you can afford to keep Adams for another week, as he wont lose money. Otherwise, go one up, one down.

Jacko · 17/05/2016 at 16:17

I have Houli & Brown in the Backline + Lyons in the FWD line? Which 2 do I trade out? (No DPP for backline) 33k in the kitty.

    Vinny · 17/05/2016 at 16:27

Houli needs to go out for supposedly 12, straight swap to another premium. Downgrade Brown/Lyons to macpherson if you can. Preferably brown though as lyons not playing wont decrease cash.

      Jacko · 17/05/2016 at 17:00

      Thanks mate

    Beezneez · 18/05/2016 at 11:59

Lyons a chance to play this week. Check teams reveal.

TYLER · 17/05/2016 at 16:19

thoughts on my team:
22 trades 132K in bank

DEF: SHAW, SIMPSON, BOYD, LAIRD, ADAMS, TIPPA (BROWN, DBJ)
MID: DANGERFIELD, PARKER, WARD, ABLETT, LIBBA, GAFF, KENNEDY, PETRACCA (SMITH, DAVIS, DUNKLEY)
RUC: NIC NAT, GAWN
FWD: HALL, MARTIN, BARLOW, ROBINSON, WELLS, KERRIDGE (MENADUE, MCGOVERN)

any thoughts would be awesome cheers

    Vinny · 17/05/2016 at 16:26

Use the two trades i think. Maybe kerridge to macpherson via DPP (Petracca)
Ugrade Brown/Adams to a preom (Rance, Gibbo, Bartel etc)

    ben j · 18/05/2016 at 13:33

    horrible team

      TYLER · 18/05/2016 at 17:25

why do you say that ben

    Cam_H · 18/05/2016 at 19:32

    Gaff + Davis —> MacPherson + Coniglio
    … Just a thought
… Best of luck with whatever you do. :O)

Benjamima Puddleduck · 17/05/2016 at 16:20

Bahahahahahaha
Love it JR

YA DICKHEAD BUCKLY!!

Vinny · 17/05/2016 at 16:22

Sorry posted this in the recent blog thingy, but not sure if anyone seen it so.
Finally reached my goal inside the top 500. Now onto top 250, then 100. 😉
My team currently sits as :

DEF:Simpson (got him at 483,200), Gibson, Laird, Macmillan, Hartely, DBJ (Ruggles, Brown)

MID:Dangerfield, Selwood, Hannebery, Parker, Ablett, Liberatore, Kerridge, Kennedy (Melb) (Menadue, Hewett, Smith)

RUCK: Goldstein, Naitanui (Wyatt)

FOR: Dahlhaus, Barlow, Hall, Martin, Franklin, Wells (Petracca, McCarthy)

My trades this week is to dispose of McCarthy for Macpherson via DPP menadue
Kerridge for either Priddis, or Docherty via DPP
Feel my Midfield needs some more however I don't want to bypass Docherty. Also, the reason I don't have Shaw in my defense yet is because i am waiting till after byes.

MacMillan has been very ordinay no doubt, but im gonna stick with him hoping for a big 2nd half, or at least a reliable D7.

Rucks look set however i am very weary about Wyatt, and dont want to get donuts. Any ideas there?

Lastly Forwards for me look pretty set too, although Barlow better get promoted this week.

Would love to keep these rankings for a while. Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Lachie · 17/05/2016 at 18:49

I'd be trading menadue instead of kerridge

    Jedders · 17/05/2016 at 22:47

What a team mate. Wow. A chance to win the 50k. Good luck champion

Vinny · 17/05/2016 at 16:23

By the way Jock, love that photo.

    @an3vilmonk3y · 17/05/2016 at 17:48

Called for it on twitter, we need a HD version for wallpapers.

    Muffmaster2000 · 17/05/2016 at 20:13

You reckon jocks head was lifted out of one of his home movies?

    Southern S · 17/05/2016 at 22:17

The picture came from Marvel Studios.

Sadly they cut short Jock's Hollywood career after he got too aroused during filming.

I won't go into details of what occurred on set, but lets just say there are still many marvel employees going through therapy.

Average Joe · 17/05/2016 at 16:26

Trade in Montagna or Docherty?

    Vinny · 17/05/2016 at 16:33

Docherty hasn't missed a beat all year. Montagna's age worries me (33 this year), although age is only a number.

rosy · 17/05/2016 at 16:38

THE ACTUAL WORST YEAR EVER!

GoHawks · 17/05/2016 at 16:43

Who to trade in this week?

Zorko or Dahlhaus

Want them both in the next 3-4 weeks

    CJudd3Votes · 17/05/2016 at 16:48

I'd go Dahl, personally i still get jittery bringing in guys from shit teams so extra time to evalute said decision would sit well with me

    shaq · 17/05/2016 at 19:36

No way, I myself am bringing Zorko in this week. like hannebery he hasn't scored below a 100 yet. And Consistency is key in SC, besides that zorks record against Melbourne is pretty darn good!

GoHawks · 17/05/2016 at 16:43

Laird, will he be back this week?, has anyone heard.

    CJudd3Votes · 17/05/2016 at 16:46

One more week out it looks like

    Southern S · 17/05/2016 at 16:48

Out for another 🙁 but hold

Pinidu · 17/05/2016 at 16:47

G'day Community, absolute carnage this week.

I have 290K and 23 trades left.
DEF: Shaw, Rance, Simpson, Houli, Laird, Adams (AMT, DBJ)
MID: Danger, Pendles, GAZ, Priddis, Libba, Mills, Parish, Petracca (Hewett, Smith, Dunkley)
RUC: Gawn, Naitanui (Wyatt)
FWD: Hall, Barlow, Greene, Wells, BenKen, Kerridge (Papley, Menadue)

My trade options: (All premiums are suited to my bye structure)

1) Houli to Gibson/Docherty and Mills to Dusty/Zorko
2) Houli to Gibson/Docherty and Papley to Dusty
3) Houli to Gibson/Docherty and Papley/Mills to MacPherson

Thoughts?

    Kev · 17/05/2016 at 17:06

Double premium mate. Time to start start spending. Your midfield especially looks very thin after eight rounds

@stewy_chewy · 17/05/2016 at 16:48

Guys who's going to any matches this week

    CJudd3Votes · 17/05/2016 at 17:03

    Friday night for sure

Michael · 17/05/2016 at 16:56

community, any ideas for trades for my team this week. i have 19 trades left and 115k in the bank.

def- shaw, simpson, laird, pittard, byrne jones and hartley(brown, ruggles)
mid- danger, pendles, parker, mitchell, shiel, liberatore, priddis, keays(hewett, davis, dunkley)
ruc- gawn, nic nat( goetz)
fwd- zorko, martin, hall, barlow, wells, kerridge( petracca, mcgovern)

ANY IDEAS CHEERZ

Steeeve · 17/05/2016 at 16:57

Warchest is limited, the cows are plumping up all together.
So I'm thinking:
Kerridge to MacPherson.
Menadue to Lee (St Kilda).

Will leave me with $500K, 22 trades, and being five players away from full premo.

Would love your thoughts

    Kev · 17/05/2016 at 17:08

Wouldn't trade in Lee. Even if he does play there's huge question marks over his js

      Derek · 17/05/2016 at 18:59

defence rookies could be hard to find over the next few weeks when people want to cash in their defence rookies. I'm thinking you need to take Lee if he is named and you need to cull a defence rookie.

        Steeeve · 17/05/2016 at 22:17

Is there really any harm in having him ride the bench? If you're taking someone with no real intention of them playing though, should probably choose a player at bargain basement price with a swing set.

      Beezneez · 18/05/2016 at 12:08

Another def rookie is Williams from Bulldogswho scored 60 on debut – on bench for most of first half.. Def/Mid DPP status but may be dropped when Adams returns.

    Southern S · 17/05/2016 at 22:21

Take Lee or Tucker if named, if neither named take Brand, again…..if named.

CJudd3Votes · 17/05/2016 at 16:59

I reckon Priddis can wait a week, even against Port it's an away game for West Coast and they may find a way to stuff it all up

    Loop · 18/05/2016 at 08:44

No they wont. Look at who they've played away so far. They've played Sydney, Geelong and Hawthorn away.

Cliffy · 17/05/2016 at 17:11

Hey community,

Well my main intention this week was to keep my finger off the ‘trade’ button after making several 1 up, 1 down trades over the last 2-3 weeks. But unfortunately with the recent injury news on Houli my hand has been forced.

To make things harder, I don’t have nearly enough in the bank, having currently got $6.2k in the bank.

If I was to make just the one trade, it seems like the only reasonable options for Houli around his dropped price range are Birchall, Rich, Rampe, and Broadbent (IMO). None of those guys really inspire confidence to me.

Or the other option is to use 2 trades to downgrade a rookie with one trade, get some $$$ and then I can easily afford to upgrade Houli to a likely top 5-10 Defender (Docherty, Rance, Boyd, Gibson, etc.)

Should I use the one trade for a sideways move to a mid-price Defender, or use 2 trades to trade Houli to a top-shelf Defender?

I currently have 19 trades left also.

    Cliffy · 17/05/2016 at 17:12

My Defence as it currently stands also:

Shaw, Simpson, Bartel, Byrne-Jones, Tippa, Hartley (HOULI, Adams)

      james · 17/05/2016 at 17:27

would you have enough to use 1 trade and get savage

      Derek · 17/05/2016 at 19:00

      where is laird?

        hedski · 17/05/2016 at 19:24

        Not named?

    The Mountain · 17/05/2016 at 17:25

whats the rest of your team look like mate, are you able to bring mcpherson in and upgrade houli with the extra cash

      Cliffy · 17/05/2016 at 18:09

Hey mate, the rest of my team is:

DEF: Shaw, Simpson, Bartel, AMT, DBJ, Hartley (Houli, Adams)

MID: Dangerfield, Hannebery, Pendles, Ward, Ablett, Wines, Libba, J.Smith (Hewett, Menadue, Davis)

      RUCK: Gawn, Martin (Wyatt)

FWD: Martin, Barlow, Hall, Wells, Kerridge, BenKen (Brown, Petracca)

        Cliffy · 17/05/2016 at 18:10

I'm just under 5k short of Savage in terms of a straight swap.

          Cliffy · 17/05/2016 at 18:11

I certainly have the option of bringing Macpherson in via DPP links.

    ThatDamnRascal · 17/05/2016 at 18:18

Houli gone for 12 means he's gotta go. I'd be looking to a premium so you'll need two trades. All the above mentioned premiums are good options but keep the bye rounds in mind and look to bring in a premium that meets your team bye needs

    The Mountain · 17/05/2016 at 19:28

Alrighty, looking at your team, menadues pretty much made all the money he can. Hes probably to best to downgrade but you can also have him as cover with all the injuries that will occur if the first 8 rounds are anything to go by, same can be said for hewett. Id go one of these to mcpherson, menadue leaves you with a dpp in the mid. Id then go houli to Doc or to a boyd or laird if you fine with having them one the bench for an extra week. In my mind these are the 3 best defenders you can get to give yourself to top 6 down back

      The Mountain · 17/05/2016 at 19:28

      Or even rance

Aaron · 17/05/2016 at 17:13

Upgrade Byrne-Jones AMT or Hartley?

    Boltons Blues · 17/05/2016 at 17:23

Hartley AMT DBJ in that order
DBJ shouldnt be considered yet, had 1 bad week after 4 really good weeks

eyyyy · 17/05/2016 at 17:16

what to do with kolodjashnij??

    CJudd3Votes · 17/05/2016 at 17:23

Having held him this long us KK owners have already lost a tonne of money so I feel we're too late to offload. Frankly i don't see it possible for him to get much worse and should the world start crumbling around us and blokes start going down with injuries forcing us to use trades I'd rather be stuck with a guy like him in my side who has played premo footy in the past rather than a guy like Brown

      hedski · 17/05/2016 at 18:05

Thats why I'm holding jock stain brodie smith

        Derek · 17/05/2016 at 19:01

        and Wingard

Chill · 17/05/2016 at 17:18

Dahl or Zorko?

    Nelson · 18/05/2016 at 10:40

50/50 both as good as eachother

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 18/05/2016 at 13:27

    Who suits you byes better?

David · 17/05/2016 at 17:18

Gday lads would love some advice on my team

Back
Shaw, Laird, Adams, Dea, KK, DBJ (Tippa, Hartley)

Mid
Danger, Hannebery, Parker, Ablett, Libba, Wines, B Crouch, Petracca (J Smith, Keays, Gresham)

Ruck
Gawn, Naitanui (Grimley)

Fwds
Hall, Zorko, Martin, Wells, Kerridge, Barlow (Brown, Menadue)

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated, got 286k currently in the kitty, not sure on whether to double downgrade Gresham (only 198k so not much money to be made but can't see his price increasing) to MacPherson, and Brown to Crocker (not sure about his security) but this will leave me with over 600k to pull the trigger on two premos next week (potentially crouch to priddis and dea/tippa to Simpson). Other option is getting Priddis or Simpson this week or potentially downgrading crouch to Hopper next week if he scores around 90 again.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated, thanks lads

Any thoughts greatly appreciated thanks lads

    The Mountain · 17/05/2016 at 17:28

Id trade brown to mcpherson via petracca and either crouch to pridda or either hartley(not to keen this early) or KK to simpson

      David · 17/05/2016 at 17:39

Thanks for the input mate, but How would I trade brown to McPherson via petracca with petracca being a mid/fwd and brown being def/fwd, am I missing something, because if possible that would be perfect.

        james · 17/05/2016 at 17:53

click the trade button on brown and then on the trade screen where your team is showed on the side there should be an 'S' next to Petraccas name click that then you can trade a mid in

      Leeds17 · 17/05/2016 at 18:44

Would close his Mid Fwd swing though

    James · 17/05/2016 at 19:00

perhaps brown to mcpherson via petracca as The Mountain said above, then crouch to dahl via kerridge, I see your forward line is already relatively strong compared to your back line but this would ensure you keep your fwd/mid swing option and also means your fwd line is essentially already at full premo status considering barlow regains his spot, meaning you can focus the rest of your trades on mids and def. I am considering doing a similar swap, thoughts would be appreciated

    Derek · 17/05/2016 at 19:03

hang onto Gresham. I have watched him the last few weeks and he tries really hard, gets the ball plenty but just can't hit a target.

Saints have Essendon and Fremantle next two weeks, little less pressure he might just hit a few targets and score really well.

james · 17/05/2016 at 17:25

team is – have 111k in the bank

Defence: Shaw, Enright, HOULI, Laird, Tipungwuti, Byrne-Jones (Byrne, Ruggles)

Midfield: Dangerfield, Hannebery, Ward, Ablett, Shiel, Zieball, Priddis, Petracca (Hewett, Davis, Gresham)

Ruck: Gawn, Naitanui (Lorensch)

Forward: Hall, Martin, Wells, DeGoey, Kerridge, BKennedy (Menadue, 102k Rookie)

my original trade plans were going to be
Out: Davis & Kerridge and IN: Macpherson & Sloane but now with Houli out I'm not sure what i should do

i could downgrade him to Brand an bank the cash for upgrades but i was thinking its better to get premos so i could get Savage and gunston

I dont know much about SC so trade idea's people

    Johnny · 18/05/2016 at 12:13

Higgo gave you a perfect option in the podcast for a swap with Houli – If you want to downgrade see if Lee gets named before you get Brand he has a lower BE not sure if either job security is high though. I would say D.Tucker is a better option than both for actual game time/bench cover.

Other options for a Houli sideways trade are… Jimmy Bartel, you will only need $40k for him with a BE of 86 Avg 93 / Docherty BE of 38 avg of 105.9 he is $512k but will generate plenty of cash anyway and Simpson he is in top form BE of 79 avg of 106.4 although he is now worth $547k but is a full premo lock.

    Good luck.

The Mountain · 17/05/2016 at 17:29

id go ahead with the davis trade and then houli to simpson or doc

    The Mountain · 17/05/2016 at 18:06

This is meant to be a comment for james ^

min0008 · 17/05/2016 at 17:32

Have 22 trades and 33k left and ranked 1239.

My team is currently as:
Def: Shaw, Laird, Bartel, Simpson, Adams, DBJ, Brown, Byrne
Mid: Ablett, Pendlebury, Selwood, Dangerfield, Parker, Wines, Libba, Wells, Hewett, Davis, Smith
Ruc: Martin, Nic Nat, Loersch
Fwd: martin, Barlow, Hall, Kerridge, Kennedy, Petracca, AMT, Menadue

I got 2 trades in mind :
Adams and Brown to MacPherson and Docherty
Adams and Hewett to MacPherson and Docherty.

Option 1 leaves me with 66k but DPP in mid/fwd is gone while option 2 gives me the DPP and left with not much.

Josh · 17/05/2016 at 17:49

Attention damiem Hardwick, please drop menas so the crab might actually be useful for the next two weeks

@t_woof · 17/05/2016 at 17:51

Awesome podcast lads.

"Munch the rug for another week" – Absolute Gold.

Interesting not much talk of discounted premiums Jordan Lewis and David Mundy. Also, Neale and Coniglio flying under the radar.

The Fremantle draw opens right up leading into the byes.

    Andrew · 18/05/2016 at 18:49

Shhhhhhhhhh, Jordan is in next week for me. Their draw also looks pretty good after Sydney this week.

Chill · 17/05/2016 at 17:56

A LIVE PODCAST??? Geez this is exciting. Pity no one seems to give a toss because I'm keen to listen to it! Should be hilarious. Would prefer a collingwood game though Jock so I could listen to you go absolutely mental at Bucks again.

ToneStar · 17/05/2016 at 17:59

T/U Brown to Gibson… Current premo backs Shaw, Doc, Liard, Bartel…
T/D Kennedy to Montagna… current premos Martin, Barlow, Hall….

Both at a good price…

    hedski · 17/05/2016 at 19:29

I like gibbo. Started with him and he's already had a rest.
Looks like you need a fwd more tho.

      hedski · 17/05/2016 at 19:29

      Zorko/dahl/zerret?

        ToneStar · 17/05/2016 at 19:33

Zerret, still iffy with him at pointer end of the year. Coming from a Ess supporter here… Lol.
        Zorko/Dahl fall short by 1K…

Woodman · 17/05/2016 at 18:02

Have 18 trades and 262,800k in the kitty. Ranked just over 1400.

My team is
Def: Shaw, Laird, Gibson, Hartley, Byrne, DBJ (Brown, Ruggles)
Mid: Dangerfield, Parker, Pendles, Ward, Selwood, Ablett, Sloane, Libba (Hewett, Smith, Gresham)
Rck: Nic Nac, Goldstein (Goetz)
Fwd: Martin, Hall, Wells, Barlow, Kerridge, Kennedy (Petracca, Cox)

Ok the first trade is locked in as Hewett to McPherson but the second trade is hard to decide. Do I go Brown to Docherty/Simpson or Kerridge to Zorko/Montagna? Thoughts?

    The Mountain · 17/05/2016 at 18:11

all are great options. Id personally pick zorko or simpson, however if your after doc id get him in now as his BE is only 37 and i looking at rising 30K

    Derek · 17/05/2016 at 19:06

i like montagna. Saints have two very winnable games coming up against essendon and fremantle (home). he should go real good.

    Blueth · 18/05/2016 at 11:05

hot midfield, but you gotta get simpson in there stat

ThatDamnRascal · 17/05/2016 at 18:05

Bit stumped this week.
Davis or Hewitt for Macpherson??? Davis seems a waste of a trade but I've run out of swingsets in the mids. Really is bugger all rookies in def and fwd. Do we start looking at the permanent loophole player so soon?
I can go Weitering/Kerridge into Doch/Dusty but feel Kerridge has a bit more cash to milk out.
Thoughts?

The Mountain · 17/05/2016 at 18:12

Id get rid of weits soon, if not this week. His BE is 114 and will leak cash when he comes back

    ThatDamnRascal · 17/05/2016 at 18:22

Only need to wait for the 23 to roll out of the 3 week avg for him to start making in back though. He is on my chopping block though

      The Mountain · 17/05/2016 at 19:22

Thats true, however he will bleed alot of the money hes made so personally id get him out ASAP, but thats just me

James · 17/05/2016 at 18:13

Quick question, if priddis were to score, say 150, this week, how much would his price inflate next week? just wondering whether i can wait a week before i grab him.

    ThatDamnRascal · 17/05/2016 at 18:21

    @ 150 He'd be around the 513k mark

Around $515K I think James – not too bad.

    James · 17/05/2016 at 18:51

    perfect, thanks lads

Michael · 17/05/2016 at 18:21

how many trades should people have at the start of the byes?

    Kev · 17/05/2016 at 18:27

Depends if you plan to use all 9. If you're down to single figure trades after the byes you'd want to be full premium and only using trades to cover injuries

    NutSack · 17/05/2016 at 23:31

you want at least 6 after the byes to cover injuries. that assumes you are at full premo.

    Nathan · 18/05/2016 at 09:57

After the byes we have 8 rounds left
You shouldnt need 2 trades per week but id say youd want 1 to 1.5 per week
So id say you want around 10 trades after the byes
But youd want to be at full premo by then

Michael · 17/05/2016 at 18:21

hi community, ive got 19 trades left with 115 k in the bank, should i be looking for another upgrade this weak and use 2 trades or save them?

Liam · 17/05/2016 at 18:25

What are your thoughts on these trades community ?
Houli and Davis
To
Docherty and MacPherson

    Stevo · 17/05/2016 at 19:10

    Yes, No brainier Liam.

      Liam · 17/05/2016 at 19:35

      Cheers Stevo.

    Hawks · 17/05/2016 at 19:39

    Like these moves

    leviathan · 17/05/2016 at 19:48

Very nice trades. Solid as a rock. Cheers

Chill · 17/05/2016 at 18:26

Thinking of trading Kerridge and Kennedy to Macpherson and Dahl, but now wondering if I'm pulling the trigger too early on them both? Very much still have achievable B/E's. Have a three week plan that works if I get rid of these 2 now. Hmmm…..

    Nathan · 18/05/2016 at 10:00

Depends on how you are set up
I cant find a way around not trading kerridge so i forced too
If you can work out trades not to trades not to use them then do that as they are 70 and 60 consistent

Gibbs · 17/05/2016 at 18:33

Should I get in Pendlebury, Priddas or Lachie Neal in this week?

    james · 17/05/2016 at 18:40

Depends what you think is best for your team do you need a proven sc gun in pendles a fallen premo in prid or a POD in Neale also think about byes

    Stevo · 17/05/2016 at 19:08

Pendles if you have the cash.

    ToneStar · 17/05/2016 at 19:34

    Pendles all the way…

    Tophawk · 17/05/2016 at 19:52

    Priddis.

At $496K you have to grab him at this bargain basement price. Pendles can wait as his price will be less volatile in the next few weeks.

    Cheers

Should I do M brown to Bailey Williams/ Brand or Lincoln McCarthy to Crocker

    The Mountain · 17/05/2016 at 19:20

None of them are worth bringing in, wait a week and reassess with williams

      Steeeve · 17/05/2016 at 22:21

Williams can't have any kind of JS with three key Dogs backmen set to return before long.

Liam · 17/05/2016 at 18:50

How long is houli out for?

    Stevo · 17/05/2016 at 19:07

12 weeks at this stage Liam

    Tophawk · 17/05/2016 at 20:06

How does 12 weeks sound? Stuffed wrist . What a tosser….No pun intended…LOL

      TRIGGER HAPPY · 18/05/2016 at 13:29

      Love the pun!

mark · 17/05/2016 at 18:52

I've found a good useful trade for Davis. Straight swap for hopper

    Derek · 17/05/2016 at 19:10

i rekon davis will get a game this week

      Papsmear · 17/05/2016 at 19:23

I think he will to if Abs sits? Wait on hopper for 1 more week dont jump the gun. He did go up against the Lions might be a smoke screen? Tougher opponent this week.

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 18/05/2016 at 13:32

Gonna have another look at hopper this week as last week played against cones but if goes big again Davis swap on the cards . Hope Davis plays this week so can do a straight swap. Then use hopper as coverage for missing mids and byes.

Nicholas · 17/05/2016 at 18:56

Not sure what to do with my team not looking too good.
Shaw, Bartel, Laird, Rich, Smith, DBJ, Hartley, Brown
Dangerfield, Selwood, Parker, Ablett, Wines, Gray, Libba, Smith, Petracca, Kennedy, Menadue,
Gawn, Naitanui, Cox
Martin, Barlow, Hall, Wells, Kerridge, Tippa, Papley, McCarthy
18 trades and 65.7k

Obviously McCarthy has to go if he plays . Would like to get Priddis, Docherty or Zorko in this week but not sure if there is a way to get zorko in without trading smith. . What should be my priority this week? Also do I cop the massive price loss Bsmith will start to take in the coming weeks due to my limited trades. If I do hold Smith then I would have to slaughter one other rookie apart from mccarthy who will probable be slaughtered this week. I could bring in Docherty this week and then Priddis in next week, however my bye structure is currently 9-13-8 and mccarthy is in the 3rd round so bringing in zorko soon fits my bye structure perfectly. Many options I could go with this week not sue which one is the best

Really need some help here community

    Southern S · 17/05/2016 at 20:52

    Brodie Smith out, McCarthy out.

MacPherson and Priddis/Docherty in via DPP.

    Southern S · 17/05/2016 at 20:53

    Or Paps/Menadue and McCarthy out*

      Nicholas · 17/05/2016 at 21:02

Thanks southern I like this option better because I think Brodie can camo back and wasnt doing good or too bad before the 22. Who do you think I should bring in?

    Leeds17 · 17/05/2016 at 21:11

McCathy's out for a few weeks atleast

      Nicholas · 17/05/2016 at 21:40

Is he? I did not know that hmm I am not sure what I should trade now. Might just go Mccarthy and Brown to Doch and Macpherson.
But then idk who I would trade out next week for Priddis… decisions

        Southern S · 17/05/2016 at 22:06

I've been thinking and I'd assume that Papley is going to spud it up against the hawks. Better off keeping Brown playing against the Saints?

Both have similar BE's but go with your gut but that's just my feeling.

          Nicholas · 17/05/2016 at 22:24

only reason that id prefer to chop brown was because i dont have to change my structures if bringing in doc but if i bring in priddis trading out papley doesnt affect it too much. But i cannot disagree with your logic there can imagine papley spudding up

@Matr1x23 · 17/05/2016 at 19:04

Hi guys, I'm in need of a little help. I'm in two cash leagues and just sitting in the eight. I need to start pushing this team into becoming a threat, and the only way to do that is with the help of the community!!

So I've got 21 trades and $397.9 in the war-chest. I've also been slaughtered with injuries the past weeks or so.

Defence: Shaw, McDonald-Tip, Byrne-Jones, Dea, Hartley, Byrne (Laird, Adams)

Midfield: Dangerfield, Hannebery, Parker, Gray, Liberatore, Kennedy, Cripps, Petracca (Rockliff, Menadue, Davis)

Ruck: Gawn, Nic Nat (Grimley)

Forward: Martin, Hall, Kerridge, Barlow, Wells, Papley (Cox, Brown)

As you can see I've got Rockliff on the bench. I'm kinda in two minds about whether to trade him or not because if his back in a week or so he could be a good POD(?)

    The Mountain · 17/05/2016 at 20:44

So the way I see it is adams -> simpson leaves you with nearly exactly 200K. from there you can either go hartley to bartel and have about 4K or you can go rocky to any midfielder of your choice. personally if you've held him this long, may as well wait a bit longer but i wouldnt downgrade him. id go brown to mcpherson via menaspud if your looking to downgrade otherwise double upgrade.

Stevo · 17/05/2016 at 19:04

Wow Jock, great podcast, up there with the greats. Love the rant over Pendlebury & FND.

I have 22 trades but cash poor. While Gibson and Priddis appeal, not enough cash to get there. So thinking Menadue & Davis to Cox (DPP swing) and Hopper.

Kerridge and DBJ still fattening up. Mitch Brown and Tippa swing Def/Fwd (Brown on bench). Thoughts community?

    jockreynolds · 17/05/2016 at 19:40

Cheers Steve! You're a good man. I don't mind the double downgrade this week if that's the situation you're in. The Pridd won't rise in cash too much this week – and there are plenty more fallen premo's where he came from drifing in price. Like it mate

    Southern S · 17/05/2016 at 22:05

Trading Cox in now on a -2 BE is risky. Already gone up 86k. Feels like that boat has sailed.

    The Mountain · 17/05/2016 at 23:13

I wouldnt be so quick trade crocker in either, JS and scoring ability are an issue

      Tommo · 18/05/2016 at 14:17

Issue is an understatement. As a pies man, he will almost certainly get dropped for Marley Williams, Goldsack when they return.

Tommo09 · 17/05/2016 at 19:08

Any good downgrade targets coming???

I am deciding whether to do a double upgrade this week and downgrade next week or to paint the fence this week and dowble upgrade next week.

Or do I get a nobody next week who is dirt cheap??
Is MacPherson a must have??

Thanks in advance

    Southern S · 17/05/2016 at 22:03

Macpherson in my eyes is almost must have, you get a nice bit of cash in your pocket as he's 100k flat, and seems to have decent JS.

    The Ranger · 17/05/2016 at 22:16

Same decision for me Tommo, leaning towards the double up this week but any $102k rookie that has reasonably good JS is bloody tempting.
Gotta get to full premium asap as well tho eh?

    Leeds17 · 18/05/2016 at 06:05

MacPherson this week, Hopper next week and most likely Mathieson the following week, not sure I have 3 rookie spots in midfield

    Andrew · 18/05/2016 at 18:46

Mattison from Brisbane getting his first game this week. Would have played round 1 if he didn't get his jaw broken.

      Tommo09 · 18/05/2016 at 18:49

      So get him

        Tommo09 · 18/05/2016 at 18:50

        ^ instead?

The Mountain · 17/05/2016 at 19:19

your defences very thin so i would go adams to simpson and you might have enough to upgrade a rookie like hartley to a bartel priced defender

    @Matr1x23 · 17/05/2016 at 20:02

I'm better of going Brown out, and swing McDonald-Tip to forward, then bring in Simpson?

      Scott · 17/05/2016 at 20:24

Yeah Brown out swing MDT fwd bring in a premium defender to bolster your backline. I'd trade Rockliff out and bring in a rookie MacPherson, then use the cash next week to bring in a premium midfielder or DPP mid fwd like Dahlouse or Zorko.

        @Matr1x23 · 17/05/2016 at 20:26

You reckon do Rockliff to Macpherson?

          Scott · 17/05/2016 at 20:33

Yeah, trade down then trade up, use the cash and cull a cow next week to bring in a premium.

            Scott · 17/05/2016 at 20:42

I wouldn't keep Rockliff but the other option would be trade out Menadue for MacPherson or Crocker or if you wanted to risk Hopper to keep building up the cash so you can start to bring in some premium players when you cull your cash cows.

Papsmear · 17/05/2016 at 19:25

Need to get me 1 of those pool nets (fly screen) from Wayno. Wayno sells good products.

    jockreynolds · 17/05/2016 at 19:40

He's a genius. I don't think there is any denying that anymore.

      Papsmear · 17/05/2016 at 19:47

The window nets worked great on me bloody great on me vehicle on me trek in the bush! Bloody Wayno has a universal business with the fly net and pools nets! Bloody Genius!

      NutSack · 17/05/2016 at 23:33

did Wayno get the contract for the flyscreens on the new Submarine fleet to be built? Gotta be a $20 million deal!

Blueth · 17/05/2016 at 19:44

the lack of Bont talk in here is alarming

    Tophawk · 17/05/2016 at 19:56

    On my watchlist mate.

    Blueth · 17/05/2016 at 20:28

clearly the gruesome TAC ads didn't penetrate…bont up or suffer the pain

      james · 17/05/2016 at 22:44

i would personally watch bont because he has mainly been playing a half forward role but when redpath came in he moved back in the guts

        Blueth · 17/05/2016 at 23:37

he's also had a foot issue which has cleared up so his midfield time is gonna stay high

Hazey · 17/05/2016 at 19:50

Spewing I don't pull the trigger last week on Adams to Doc!

This week do you think it's more important to bring ink Doc or The Product? I'm fielding all three bombers in my backline atm, so not ideal.

    Hazey · 17/05/2016 at 21:14

The Product = The Prid in predictive text world

      discojim · 17/05/2016 at 21:22

    tuxCS · 17/05/2016 at 20:02

Christ, as in 'Jordan Lewis"? If so then you've got a good set of plums on you mate.

    Muffmaster2000 · 17/05/2016 at 20:09

    Don't mind Lewis mate I think he's a steal

    Southern S · 17/05/2016 at 22:02

Don't expect him to suddenly rise to his former glory but it could work out alright and he is priced low.

Michael3421 · 17/05/2016 at 20:02

Defence:
Shaw, Simpson, Adams, Hartley, Darcy Bryne-Jones, Ruggles, Brown
I've got 342k in the bank so who do you reckon I should be trading in this week?

    Muffmaster2000 · 17/05/2016 at 20:10

I'd defs go Docherty mate he's getting it done week in week out

Muffmaster2000 · 17/05/2016 at 20:15

Did I hear correctly… are the lads commentating the game live on Friday night?!?

Joe · 17/05/2016 at 20:24

Davis to MacPherson and Adams to Gibson for me this week.
Just questioning the worth regarding the Davis to MacPherson trade, should I cull Menadue, Papsmear or Brown instead for more cash?

Thoughts community??

    Southern S · 17/05/2016 at 22:01

Davis might be named this week so you might want to cull papley or brown if that is the case.

Both scored 29 last week and have a simliar BE around 53 take your pick.

I'd be inclined to trade Pap considering Sydney are playing hawks at the MCG. (Bombers play sainters)

jake · 17/05/2016 at 20:28

Hi community, not sure about bringing MacPherson into my side. Getting him in opens the possibility for the likes of Matt Priddis, but he might be worth another look.

Ranked 1650 – $2,400 – 21 Trades

Shaw-Simpson-Bartel Brown
Gibbo-Laird-Weitering DBJ

Danger-Parker Menadue
Pendels-Ablett-Libba Davis
Wines-Wells-J.Smith Keays

Naitanui-Goldstein Grimley

Hall-Zorko-Kerridge Papley
Greene-Adams-Tippa Petracca

Tommy · 17/05/2016 at 20:49

Trading out Houli, who is a good trade for him?
Bartel – Solid pick for many years, risk of breaking down or being rested
Rich – Risky as he doesn't like the tag, has a good draw ahead
Mcveigh – Pretty consistent, but off the back of injury and old age doesn't help, risky pick but could be high reward

Ideally, i would have wanted to bring in Docherty or Simpson, but my bye structure is pretty lopsided so i'm going to have to wait until bye rounds to bring them in. Suggestions for anyone else i haven't put in that has the bye in the last 2 weeks, please comment it. Suggestions much appreciated!

    Big M · 19/05/2016 at 10:29

Im looking at get rid of Rich, too inconsistent & had enough of him
am thinking either Bartel or Docherty

poloko48 · 17/05/2016 at 20:54

19 trades left, $262.4K in the bank.

Team:

DEF: Heater, Bartel (MID), Hartley, MBrown (FWD), DBJ, Wagner (Laird, Ruggles)
MID: Hanners, Parker, Ward, Jelwood, Libba, Wines, Priddis, Keays (Barlow (FWD), JSmith, Davis)
RUC: Gawn, Goldy (MKing (FWD))
FWD: Hall (MID), Buddy, Tippett (RUC), Kerridge (MID), AMT (DEF), Petracca (MID) (Wells (MID), DRioli)

Trade options this week:
1. IN Pendles OUT Kerridge via DPP, IN MacPherson OUT Davis $101.7K left
2. IN Dusty OUT Kerridge, IN MacPherson OUT Davis $101.7K left $176.3K left

Which of these are best, or if there are better options than these trades?

4 more premos needed after this for full on field premo – 3 x DEF, 1 x MID.
(Banking on Mr Lyon bringing Barlow back in after 40 possies in the magoos).

Tommo09 · 17/05/2016 at 20:56

In future do we downgrade to the cheapest players instead of people playing???
So instead of someone like MacPherson you go for someone that is $100k???

    Nicholas · 17/05/2016 at 21:03

maybe after byes but not yet too risky to have non players during byes

      Tommo09 · 17/05/2016 at 21:05

      Ok thank you
I wasn't sure because I heard someone say that everyone has a bunch of nobodies and I thought that was what I was meant to do
I am new to taking SuperCoach seriously

    Steeeve · 17/05/2016 at 22:24

Later on that's a possibility. But for now MacPherson is as cheap as possible anyway so it should be a no brainer.

Luke · 17/05/2016 at 21:01

Is it worth trading r.gray (m6) or zaharakis (m7) out to get in priddis this week, or even trade libba (m8) out for him? Also, what do people think about getting rid of hartley/dbj or kerridge for wingard this week?

    dasha · 17/05/2016 at 21:49

definetly hold onto gray i reckon, can wait another week on priddis as well be still relatively high, also would wait until chad shows some good form

Southern S · 17/05/2016 at 21:12

Awesome podcast guys.

Wayno lining up the lambs for slaughter was classic.

'Righto you lot single file behind Papley'

'Mitch Brown I said don't don't make eye contact'

    Loved it Southern!

dasha · 17/05/2016 at 21:47

brilliant as usual fellas, community ive got 21 trades left, is downgrading menadue to mcpherson worth it? im planning on trading in hopper next week also

    Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 15:35

Yeah I'd do that trade menadue is done, he just can't score anything decent anymore.

Bomber56 · 17/05/2016 at 21:49

Is it best to get Crocker and MacPherson in this round

or get just one in and a premo?

When do you stop bring rookies in and concentrate on just upgrades?

    Tommo · 17/05/2016 at 21:54

As a pies man, dont bring in crocker. Done nothing and for sure will be dropped in the coming weeks

    Southern S · 17/05/2016 at 21:55

I'd just get in who has the best job security.

Probably MacP this week and maybe Hopper next week.

There is also talk of Mathieson lions mid making his debut this week.

Crocker only if you are desperate for a forward rookie, and Kaiden Brand if you need a backline rookie badly.

Brand may have better JS than Crocker but that is just a gut feeling.

      Kev · 18/05/2016 at 07:42

Need the rookies to make cash for the upgrades. You stop bringing them in when you're at full premium

    Bomber56 · 18/05/2016 at 08:08

    Thanks for the replies 🙂

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 18/05/2016 at 09:24

Personally I want to keep my DPP but am going redman instead of crocker. Redman was a top 30 pick plays for the bombers so I think his js will be better than crock. Hasn't set the world on fire but should make a bit of money and stay in the team for the next few weeks as woosha will give the kids a go.

Stevo · 17/05/2016 at 21:52

Thanks poloko48. Yes, Hopper can wait a week.
Going Gresham to Crocker & Menapoo to Cox. Both open up DPP swings. Much needed with all the outs lately.

johnno2908 · 17/05/2016 at 21:56

Is Docherty a must have at this price? If I go Gibson instead, I can afford to go Brown to Gibson and Menapoo to Macpherson.
If I go Docherty, it would have to be:
McDT – > Docherty & Menapoo -> Macpherson or Brown -> Docherty & Kerridge -> Macpherson.
I really like the idea of saying goodbye to Menapoo and Mitch Brown!

    EdCavey · 18/05/2016 at 09:49

Don't trade Mitch Brown yet, many people are looking to trade him after his poor performance of only 29.
I would only trade him if you don't have any other options. I put him on a very low priority list.
You need to remember that Essendon last week played again the top and undefeated team, North Melbourne.
Playing Saints this week and Richmond the next, I think he can still score very well!

      johnno2908 · 18/05/2016 at 12:55

I've gone Kerridge to Docherty and Menapoo to Macpherson. This also brings back the DEF/FWD DPP for trades in the next few weeks

Monty · 17/05/2016 at 21:58

Should I upgrade Byrne Jones to Docherty or Kerridge to Zorko?

    BC · 17/05/2016 at 22:42

I'm going B-J to Doc Monty but only because of a Boyd/Laird bench this week. Very tempting to bring Zorko onboard – outscoring most mids

      Tommo · 18/05/2016 at 14:19

Bitch harsh on DBJ, one bad week and your culling him? All he needs is one good score to get back to money making and he has shown more than once he is capable.

        Tommo · 18/05/2016 at 14:20

Bit** well thats an awkward typo 🙁

        Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 15:34

        Agreed his scores are 61, 97, 103, 70, 100 and 31.

Easily capable of getting back on track.

    EdCavey · 18/05/2016 at 09:46

I would look to upgrade Houli to the likes of Docherty, Simpson, Gibson or even Pittard.
Menedue to MacPherson is a solid trade.

If you need a bit more cash next round, look to downgrade another rookie to Hopper if he performs.
And then upgrade a different rookie

The Mountain · 17/05/2016 at 23:06

no, brand is a terrible option in my opinion. Upgrade houli, but yes to your other trade

Froggy · 17/05/2016 at 23:13

hey Jock love your work mate, currently sitting at 61st overall..and Im not sure if im going nuts but what do we think of Jordan Lewis as a stepping stone to an ultra premo before his bye was thinking kerridge to him this week with a low BE, has the lions, bombers and dees in the next 4 weeks at 440 odd k. what do we think community?

    Blueth · 17/05/2016 at 23:36

i'd say you're nuts but you're 61st overall so who am I to say Jordan Lewis yesterdays news?

      Jess_coach · 18/05/2016 at 00:53

Cut out the middle man stepping stone nonsense and go straight to a premium – rookies make more cash than mid-pricers and trades are gold, supercoach gold 🙂

    The Ranger · 18/05/2016 at 08:14

Seriously considering the same move Froggy.
Plenty of value there, I've got enough trades, it works for my byes and if he gets back to being around the 520- 550K mark it's an easy trade to an ultra.

    Chicken Dinner · 18/05/2016 at 12:03

Bigg Balls! – I like the move, have to make some alternative choices to win, if it suits structure for byes then go for it.

Nicholas · 17/05/2016 at 23:24

Who to bring in this week Priddis or Doch and who to dump Papley or Brown

    Kev · 18/05/2016 at 07:39

Bring in Doch. Dump whoever has their average closer to their b.e

Jess_coach · 18/05/2016 at 00:50

In terms of Captain choices, Dangerfield into Goldstein sounds like a good move this week. In the unlikely event Danger fails, Goldy should kill Kreuzer's replacement of either Gorringe or Wood (2nd ruckman Andrew Phillips is also injured with a hamstring). Its what Goldstein does best.

    Dee · 18/05/2016 at 07:53

I'm thinking VC on Buddy, friday night and against his old mob at the G…. He's inform too! Could go big I reckon….

    Clarky · 18/05/2016 at 09:17

I'm not sure if i could confidently put the C on a ruckmen anymore. Although what you say is very true, and should monster the extremely slow and dopey Wood.

    Grahame Lebroy · 18/05/2016 at 11:23

I reckon Goldy would be a safe bet this week for the reasons you stated above bout Carltons ruckmen being injured. But I would be trying to put the VC on him and have a Captain back up playing after him

    Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 15:31

I'd suggest doing a Hannebery, Parker, Gibson or Franklin Vice pick on friday night then going Dangerfield or Pendles for Captain if it fails.

shemmist · 18/05/2016 at 07:07

brown-priddis via kerridge dpp and adams-enright leaves me only $6000, or brown-priddis and hewett-mcpherson which leaves me 269k? i need your help community is enright a good premo option? hes not scoring too bad for a defender but a little worried about his age

    EdCavey · 18/05/2016 at 09:44

I wouldn't be looking toward Enright due to his age. Would definitely consider Brown-Priddis and then Hewett-MacPherson.

      Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 15:29

He played 21 games last year and averaged 95 as he did throughout his career.

Can understand the reluctance though with him being almost 35.

    Jimmy · 18/05/2016 at 11:28

IMO the latter. Use the 269 next week plus a.n.other cash cow to get someone like Docherty if you don't already have him.

      shemmist · 18/05/2016 at 14:29

i wanna be looking to get fallen premos i feel like docherty would be over priced next week

MJSha · 18/05/2016 at 08:25

Really loving the return of Higgo's Quantum Team Mechanics. absolute ripper of a segment helping us all improve our teams

breakevens · 18/05/2016 at 08:52

Community thoughts on this

Trade in: Hooper, Zorko
Trade out: Kerridge DBJ

Leaving me with this structure

Defence:
Shaw, Simpson, Bartel, Laird, AMT, Adams (Ruggles, Hartley)

Midfield
Danger, Parker, Ward, Gazza, Libba, Priddis, Hooper, Smith (Keays, Davis, Gore)

Ruck
Nic Nat, Gawn (Grimley)

Forward
Dalhaus, Merrett, Hall, Zorko, Dustin, Wells (Peteracca, Cox)

    Tommo · 18/05/2016 at 09:14

Going a bit early with Hopper aren't ya? Scored well against a poor Gold Coast side. Probably should see how he goes against a much stronger side in the Dogs this week.

      breakevens · 18/05/2016 at 09:16

Probably am but if a bloke has 32 touches on debut I can't see him dropping that much

    GoHawks · 18/05/2016 at 09:59

    Love that forward-line.

May be better going for MacPherson this week, then Hopper next. MacPherson will make plenty of $$ as a stepping stone to upgrade mids & def.

Clarky · 18/05/2016 at 08:59

Who is a good defensive pick who has the byes in the last 2 weeks? I was thinking Bartel, Gibbo or maybe even Rich. Am i missing anyone who may be a better pick?

    breakevens · 18/05/2016 at 09:17

    Pittard isn't a bad shout

      Cam_H · 18/05/2016 at 09:44

      Heath Shaw? ;O)

        Clarky · 18/05/2016 at 11:55

Yeah, should have mentioned i already have shaw 🙂

    GoHawks · 18/05/2016 at 09:57

Shaw, McVeigh or Boyd (after this week)

    Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 12:36

    Bartel or Gibbo

bailey · 18/05/2016 at 09:19

houli out for 12 weeks?????????????????????????

Tommo · 18/05/2016 at 09:24

Who is a solid replacement for Houli? Bartel, Gibson, Pittard or even Burgoyne? (Going for players in the last 2 bye rounds)

    GoHawks · 18/05/2016 at 09:55

    Gibson of those choices

    shemmist · 18/05/2016 at 15:10

    corey enright

EdCavey · 18/05/2016 at 09:41

With B. Houli out for 10 weeks, a trade needs to happen. Already have J. Gibson, R. Laird and H. Shaw, looking for someone like S. Docherty, K. Simpson or J. Bartel.
Will also most likely be trading C. Mills for D. MacPherson.

Thoughts?

    GoHawks · 18/05/2016 at 09:54

    I like Simpson or Rance.

Mills to MacPherson is a great trade.

John · 18/05/2016 at 09:55

Who should i get out of kaiden brand or bailey williams this week.

The Beard · 18/05/2016 at 10:13

Anyone know the B/E of

Davis –
M Brown (Bomber) –
Hewett –
Meandue –

John · 18/05/2016 at 10:29

why not

    Grahame Lebroy · 18/05/2016 at 11:21

Worry on job security for both of them, if u had to pick one I would go Brand. WIth job security you need them to play for 5 – 7 weeks to make enough cash to either upgrade them to a keeper or make cash on them and replace them with a rookie

    Northernsoul74 · 18/05/2016 at 11:51

Williams only played 1 game so stupid to bring him in early. He only got a game last week due to Zaine Cordy picking up an injury in training on Thurs. JS not great.

mungos men · 18/05/2016 at 10:30

Jock and Higgo’s laughs after Jock Ripping bucks a new one! GOLD

    Grahame Lebroy · 18/05/2016 at 11:14

Big Balls · 18/05/2016 at 10:42

When will info about live podcast Friday night come out ???

I N Pieman · 18/05/2016 at 11:21

What a ball tearer of a Bucks spray Jock old mate. And thoroughly deserved. He is a clueless Spud. Although I did detect a bit "why did I trade Pendles" in the spray. And to a man that is most unlikely to play this week. There many have been a press conference about him recently as well. And to those that are looking at bring Hopper in this week hold your horses. He played against a train wreck last week. Have a closer look against the dogs. That will give you a much more accurate read. I don't forget if you do grab him during upgrade season it's probably going to set you back a week on the quest to full premo.

Shake n bake · 18/05/2016 at 11:44

So Ablett 99% confirmed out do we all think it's only goin to be 1 week! Have this feeling it might be more.

    Tommo · 18/05/2016 at 11:53

Just a mild concussion, should only be 1

      Derek · 18/05/2016 at 11:55

How does Hall go when Ablett doesn't play?

        Tommo · 18/05/2016 at 12:03

Well, you would imagine he would be better as he is their main midefielder, but tat the same time, he may attract attention from other teams since he is the most dangerous mid. Its a tough one!

        Beezneez · 18/05/2016 at 12:24

I heard that there is also some doubt about Hall playing this week- I hope not.

Jono · 18/05/2016 at 11:53

Hey guys I have a bit dilemma and would love for everyone to give me some advise moving forward for this weekend.

I have Rockliff on hold in my Mid and I also have Dean Gore who is not getting a game. I have cash to spare in the kitty so I was wondering if you could help me make the best decision out of the ones I am thinking in order to give me some cover for if Ablett get's rested, also so I don't have donut on my bench. Alternatively I am open to other ideas if you have something better you can think of.

Option 1: Upgrade Brown – Walters; Downgrade Rockliff – Macpherson (Ablett on the bench for Macpherson if rested plenty of cash to spare for following week for a double upgrade)
Option 2 : Upgrade Brown – Walters; Sideways Rockliff – Zorko (lose some cash, Ablett on the bench if rested with no cover in the mid but a step in the right direction for full premo however will only have 7k left in the bank for the following week with Dean Gore still on the bench not generating cash)
Option 3: Upgrade Brown – Zorko; Upgrade Gore to Macpherson to cover for Ablett and generate some cash through Macpherson then the following week can downgrade/upgrade for Walters for the fwd line and then should have Rocky back in the Mid as well.

I think the best option for the overall rankings this week is Option 2 also I should beat my opponent this week this way however I don't want to sideways trade Rockliff for a second time this year and also I am concerned about the lack of cash left over… Probably smartest option would be Option 3??

Any help would be much appreciated!!

    Tommo · 18/05/2016 at 12:10

Option 1 looks the way to go, but i am not sure about Walters, more of a Supercoach draft player than a classic player, but could be a very nice POD for you

      Jono · 18/05/2016 at 19:47

Thanks man.. Walters is fairly cheap and has averaged 102.25 since Fyfe has been out given his want to be in the midfield and his performance I feel like he is there to stay and yeah could be a good POD. Thanks again man good luck!!

    Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 20:18

Wouldn't touch walters for that price, Jordan Lewis is safer I feel, and even Marc Murphy.

      Jono · 18/05/2016 at 21:57

Walters has never played through the midfield though and has been consistent since he has this season so it's hard to judge in previous performance.. I think he might be worth a go for a POD given his new role this season.. Lewis and Murphy haven't been great and I think with Indigenous round coming up too He could go up in price and either be a Premo lock or a upgrade to full Premo option.

breakevens · 18/05/2016 at 12:04

Community
Have 537k to trade in a midfielder for Kerridge
Mitchell, Shuey, Boak, Shiel, Scully, Bont or Mundy

    Liam · 18/05/2016 at 12:30

Go Montagna than swing him forward later.

      Dee · 18/05/2016 at 12:54

      Sloane?

    Danners · 18/05/2016 at 19:43

If you feel like a punt, go Mundy. Has favourable fixtures soon

Andrew · 18/05/2016 at 12:09

Montagna or Dusty?

    breakevens · 18/05/2016 at 12:14

    Dusty for me

    Tommo · 18/05/2016 at 12:35

    Dusty

      Dee · 18/05/2016 at 12:53

      Dusty easy….

Ryan · 18/05/2016 at 12:10

Should I get Zorko this week or Montagna? Obviously Zorko scores higher but with Montagna at 530k and a breakeven of 75 I think this is the cheapest I'll get him.

    eyyyy · 18/05/2016 at 14:37

    i would 100% go zorko

    Danners · 18/05/2016 at 19:42

Montagna, I'm a bit iffy with Zorko

      Pman35 · 18/05/2016 at 21:53

I slotted Zorko The Magnificent in 3 weeks ago and he has rewarded me with three 100+ scores in a row. He's a Gun and will get more mid field time now that Beams is gone for the year and he kicks goals. Get on board!

Tappy · 18/05/2016 at 12:31

Wayno!! What a legend. A real ideas man.

John · 18/05/2016 at 12:34

Is crocker a good replacement?

    Tommo · 18/05/2016 at 12:36

Not good JS, will certainly get dropped in the next few weeks, Macpherson much better pick.

    Pman35 · 18/05/2016 at 21:55

I'm a Pies fan and would say No as don't believe he will have great job security.

Dee · 18/05/2016 at 12:53

No

Cameron · 18/05/2016 at 12:53

Wells to miss next fortnight with Achilles and possibly even more

    hedski · 18/05/2016 at 12:55

Bloody rossy (the sc devil) had better pick barlow.

    Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 15:26

That's not how I interpreted the report.

      Leeds17 · 18/05/2016 at 17:33

But it is wells who was 1-2 weeks away for every game last season

        Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 18:19

I'm not aware of that, but anyway like I said there doesn't seem to be anywhere that says he's out for the next fortnight or possibly more.

I'm going to keep a close lookout for more reports on him this week and make my decision on friday.

Macca · 18/05/2016 at 12:55

Wells could be out for at least 3.

Same injury that kept him out last year.

Discuss

    Derek · 18/05/2016 at 13:08

After this week, Norfs games gett a bit tougher.

    I N Pieman · 18/05/2016 at 13:11

Houli Adams Boyd Gary Barlow Hall Wells. Fun fun fun

      TRIGGER HAPPY · 18/05/2016 at 13:24

      Fair bench there pieman
Don't have Barlow but can add laird and gray to that lot but hopefully gray will be back.
Seems this year with premos you have gotta hold if back under 4 weeks as a lot are going missing and can't afford to trade them all.

        I N Pieman · 18/05/2016 at 13:39

I've got all of those except Houli. But yeah many still holding Laird & 50 Shades. Total & absolute carnage. Stick to your guns Trigger. Short term put them on the pine & keep upgrading where possible

          TRIGGER HAPPY · 18/05/2016 at 14:19

Yeah I think most will be munching on a donut if the cling onto laird, Boyd and Adams.

          I've got two choices:
          Houli to Doc
          Papsnear to Redman
But that leaves Redman or mendapoo at f6
          Not ideal

Or eat a donut in Def like everyone else and
Benken – montagna (gonna jump in price this wk – suits my byes)
          Papsnear – Redman
          Gives me montagna on field
Next week straight swap Houli to mcveigh

            I N Pieman · 18/05/2016 at 14:44

Have you considered Adams to Kaiden Brand to avoid the donut & send Papsmear up to a premo

              TRIGGER HAPPY · 18/05/2016 at 14:53

              Yep that is another option.
Not sure of brand JS but with roughie out might b OK.
Does mean I miss out on that rook dpp who may b few and far between.
Will wait on teams one or two rooks may miss which may force my hand one way or the other.

      Derek · 18/05/2016 at 14:35

      What wrong with Hall?

      Do you mean Gaz?

        I N Pieman · 18/05/2016 at 14:43

Hall under a cloud as well. Needs to pass a fitness test

      Sleet · 18/05/2016 at 14:41

Gary Barlow of Take That fame?

Tommo · 18/05/2016 at 13:04

Should we hold Wells if he is actually out for 3? Or move him on?

    Derek · 18/05/2016 at 13:07

He just made my decision easy. Wells to Montagna this week, Priddis next week.

      Tommo · 18/05/2016 at 13:10

Yeah, i'm thinking of going Wells down to Macpherson now instead of either Kerridge of De Goey down.

    Steeeve · 18/05/2016 at 14:35

Yep thinking so, he's too risky now. Was always going to do well then get injured. Pity he didn't last longer.

My trade plans have changed now. Kerridge to MacPherson, Wells to Zorko.

Unfortunately looking like I won't be able to bring in Prid. Even next week. Will instead wait for Lids or Robbie Gray to finish my mids.

Michael · 18/05/2016 at 13:28

communtiy,
whose the better fwd to bring in for wells,

merret or montagna or if theres other options plz say.

my fwd line is zorko, martin, hall, barlow, kerridge and wells.

    lolattack · 18/05/2016 at 14:15

    Dahlhaus easily

    Steeeve · 18/05/2016 at 15:49

Choose based on your bye structure. That's what I did and ended up surprising myself, taking Zorko instead of Dahl (who I wanted most) or Joey (cheapest).

Dillon Panthers · 18/05/2016 at 14:16

Hey community is it too much blue in defence if I bring in doc to go with Bart Simpson? They seem to be scoring well together but I'm still a little tentative on pulling the trigger.

Cheers

    Tommo · 18/05/2016 at 14:29

Depends on your bye structure. You you will still have 18 players playing after bringing him in, then get him, but otherwise, wait until their bye.

      Dillon Panthers · 18/05/2016 at 14:55

      Thanks tommo!

    Neverweaken · 18/05/2016 at 17:04

I've had Docherty from the start. Plan to get Simpson in before r14 disaster bye.
With no Houli Rance is temptin as well

Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 15:25

Wells injury report.

"His achilles is just not quite perfect, so I think you could all imagine how cautious we are going to be with that.

"It's possible he might play, but if he doesn't do enough on the track today, and he's got some tests to pass before we even risk him today … so unless he's absolutely perfect it'll probably be the match committee's call to leave him out for another week, maybe two."

So it's possible he will still play this round, if not I'd expect him to be back next week. As I've already held him through one I'm going to keep him.

Not telling others they should though as it might be risky.

    hedski · 18/05/2016 at 15:29

Depending on teams I think I'll just stick to plan this week might have to reassess him next week.

    Tommo · 18/05/2016 at 15:51

I thought it was 3 weeks?

      Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 18:20

I haven't seen any official report say three weeks.

        Tommo · 18/05/2016 at 18:23

Yeah i havent either, just been the rumor on this thread

    Boltons Blues · 18/05/2016 at 16:45

yeap, holding this week aswell, wont make or lose money and have other problems to fix before i look at trading him, maybe next week to Zorko or Dahl

    Neverweaken · 18/05/2016 at 17:13

I have held wells but now have doubts. And if he is not a keeper how much more cash can he make.
Assuming he gets back soon. Will probably be on interchange and give a couple of 70ish scores before improving if at all.,and so all that lovely profit disappears. I've got Boyd Adams and Suckling on the bench. And now Gary by the looks of things. Need some players.
Was swapping Kerridge for Pendles. May do wells instead. Or one up one down Pendles and Macpherson.
Or Pendles and just just squeeze in Gibson in Defence.

      Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 18:11

Can understand trading him, but if he gets a couple of 70's he won't lose anything his BE is 68 for starters.

      Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 18:16

Plus I'm not sure where you get the idea Wells scores 70's anyway, he's had one score of 66 when he missed a quarter of footy, and one 80, the rest of his scores are 90-120.

Will probably be in interchange? No. You don't play a great player to sit them on the bench, plus even interchange players can score fine, everybody gets at least 80% game time.

They won't play him if he's not right, and they won't waste him on the bench if he is, plus you can't just have a player warming the pine in a game of AFL lol.

As I said can understand you trading him, but you're very wrong in my opinion on the factors you've presented about his scoring upon return.

    Macca · 18/05/2016 at 21:21

I think its simply list management. Undefeated sitting 8-0 at the top of the table. Older player with history of injury, was never going to play every game. I'd expect him to miss this week and the trip to Sydney, perhaps even the tigers game. Bring him back fresh for three BIG games against Cats / hawks / crows, then he gets another break with the bye.

Tommo09 · 18/05/2016 at 15:44

M.Crouch for MacPherson
And
Kerridge/Wells for Pendles/Priddis

I will only trade wells if he is out for 3 or more

Thoughts community

    Danners · 18/05/2016 at 19:40

Yep sounds good, go Priddis though if you are not picking him up next week

i have 18 trades left $111,200 in the bank what should i do with the players highlited

This is my second year of supercoach and would love some advice on my team

    Crowmagnon · 18/05/2016 at 16:39

trade Houli and hold the rest.
who is the 102k rookie at F8?

    cashcows · 18/05/2016 at 16:45

For future seasons reference, youve wasted too many trades so far.

    Hold laird and gaz.
Houli needs to go, 12 week injury. Wells will need to be monitor, dont trade him yet.
If he's done, swap wells and petracca and get zorko if you can in a week or two.

      james · 18/05/2016 at 17:00

his name is j.smith and who should i get for houli?

        cashcows · 18/05/2016 at 17:54

        Rance or Simpson

        Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 18:09

You can't have Josh Smith at F8…………………..

          james · 18/05/2016 at 18:42

nah it's j smith from melbourne

            Crowmagnon · 18/05/2016 at 18:47

            why j smith?
            I'm trading Houli to Zorko.

              james · 18/05/2016 at 20:00

i originally put him for a second loophole

asmodeus · 18/05/2016 at 16:38

looking for a defender under 500k, these are the guys im looking at Savage, Gibson, Bartel or Enright?

    Wayno76 · 18/05/2016 at 17:09

i already have Bartel and hes been good but im always nervous with him waiting for an injury or just rested, Gibson seems to be the safer choice at that price range

Wayno76 · 18/05/2016 at 17:05

Hows how many Darcy rookies we have this year Darcy BJ , Mac and Parish is there any more Darcy's coming through the ranks it seems to be a good name for Cash Cows lol

    Tommo · 18/05/2016 at 20:10

    Darcy Tucker 🙂

    Southern S · 18/05/2016 at 20:15

So name your son Darcy and they become an AFL footballer…………..interesting.

Matt · 18/05/2016 at 17:18

Where'd people hear Wells is out for 3 weeks? Brad Scott said earlier today that they're being overly cautious in him likely not playing this week, so I'd expect him to be back next week.

    Danners · 18/05/2016 at 19:38

That would be nice, I haven't heard anything about being out for 3 weeks though

Wayno76 · 18/05/2016 at 17:20

Ive traded Brown and Mills for Docherty and MacPherson.
If Wells,Hall and Barlow don't play I'll have to rethink my trades. If two out of those three play I can cover them with Papley and Short but don't really want to play these guys.
Do you think community it would be better to trade Paps and hold Mills and Brown for one more week ?

    Danners · 18/05/2016 at 19:37

Mills has to go before Papley

Andrew · 18/05/2016 at 17:23

Adams to Gibson (leaving me 2k)
OR
Hewett to MacPherson
I don't see Hewett making much more $$

    Steeeve · 18/05/2016 at 17:30

Hewett will make another 10K this week, maybe more. Has more potential than he's showing. 90 in round one. Almost 50 in a quarter a couple of weeks ago. Low breakeven.
Only advantage to trading him is because he's mid only.

Michael · 18/05/2016 at 18:27

communtiy, how long is wells expected to miss?

Tophawk · 18/05/2016 at 18:33

Hi community,

Is anyone considering trading out Wells? His Achilles heel has flared up again. These injuries take forever to heal and if they rest him for the next two, he is likely to play "intermittently" at best for the remainder of this season anyway. I was not worried about the quad issue, but this latest development has me thinking of biting the bullet, and freeing up some big dollars to do some serious upgrading in coming weeks. Any thoughts?

Cheers

    siri · 18/05/2016 at 18:52

    Fold for me…..

    Kev · 18/05/2016 at 19:03

Might give him a week off and reassess next week. Been far too good to jump off now. But you're right, achilles are notorious for becoming a 5-6 week thing rather than 1-2

    Pman35 · 18/05/2016 at 22:10

If you can hold for another week and assess, at least that's what I'll be doing as he can still be a handy M9 or F7 later in the season if his body holds up.

siri · 18/05/2016 at 18:52

This week only…. but who know…. seriously thinking about folding wells

Danners · 18/05/2016 at 19:35

Great podcast as usual Jock and crew! Good to see you rip into Buckley like you would with other people in the older days.
Anyway community just wondering about what the community thinks I should do this week.

DEF: Shaw, Simpson, Rance, Boyd, DBJ, AMT (Hartley, Brown)
MID: Dangerfield, Hannebery, Pendlebury, Ablett, Shiel, Libba, Keays, J.Smith (Menadue, Hewett, Dunkley)
RUCK: Naitanui, Jacobs (Chol)
FWD: Dahlhaus, Hall, Barlow, Martin, Wells, Kerridge (M.McGovern, Petracca)
$79,700 in the bank and 19 trades

I was going to do
Jacobs to Goldstein
Menadue to MacPherson
BUT… that would put me behind the everyone and I would be a premo behind everyone from having a full premo team
Thoughts?

    Cam_H · 18/05/2016 at 19:59

Nice team … was kinda expecting 'Ward', 'Greene', 'Coniglio', etc. ;O)

Can't see a problem with what you suggest. Menadue survives in my team only because he's been useful from a DPP perspective but I fully understand the desire to cull.

    Where's Papley?

I love the Big Sauce (Crows fan) and they've been through eight matches of 'Hell and Back', but now with a handful of weeks in front of them where a few big scores are surely on the horizon, I can understand if you might want to second-guess getting rid of Jacobs … but 'yeah' … Gawn or Goldstein seem just too compelling.

Play with your gut instinct, but 'again', I think that what you're suggesting is pretty sound.

    Hawks · 18/05/2016 at 20:18

I think Jacobs is a premium, and will score like one for the rest of he season.

I like the Menadue to MacPherson trade, but just think you may be better served upgrading one of the other lines.

LHMORWOOD · 18/05/2016 at 19:40

Which trade would be most important for this week, keeping in mind I now have both Laird and Boyd on the bench:

S.Kerridge to B.Crocker
&
M.Brown to A.Rance

or

S.Kerridge to B.Crocker
&
D.Wells to M.Priddis

    Hawks · 18/05/2016 at 20:13

    Honestly wouldn't trade in Crocker.

Do you have any swing players that would enable you to trade in MacPherson?

Big M · 19/05/2016 at 10:41

Hiya Community – your thoughts
looking at strengthening my Backline but not sure who to go with
I've had enough of Rich being to inconsistent & an average of just 84
but can't decide to go with
Docherty – who's having a great start to the year, will he keep it up – or
Bartel – who's had a slow start but he seems to be on the up and has had many years of an avg above 100

    Big M · 19/05/2016 at 10:42

should have mentioned – I have Shaw, Laird, Adams Simpson then 3 other rookies

Jock Disciple Si · 19/05/2016 at 14:44

I am erect at the thought of listening to Jock, Peter and Crouching One on Friday night!

Jordan · 19/05/2016 at 21:20

Do u think I should trade any of the following as I want to bring in montagna
