Supercoach 2016 midpriced forwardsLife after Fyfe.

That’s the theme of the week community. As the lads discussed in this week’s podcast – I cannot wait to turn the demise of Fyfe into a positive this weekend.

It’s all about your mindset this week. Will you be sticking to the tried and true sideways trade to bring in another beast.. or will you walk on the wild side and deploy a bit of Shark?

is there more urgency to trade out wingard and fyfe?
dea also seems to have a high breakeven…looking to trim the fat from this cash cow
thoughts fellas?

Sean · 27/04/2016 at 09:58

So James Kelly keeps on pumping out hundreds….
Anyone going to mention him? Even as a POD?
Cheers

    Graham · 27/04/2016 at 10:05

Good option, but if you have the money, I'd look to a more expensive option that you can be sure of keeping their form.

Millie · 27/04/2016 at 10:00

I really enjoy reading your opinion Lekdog, however I am trading Fyfe for Hannas this week and will probably make him captain if Goldy doesn't score 130+. I am tempted by Sloane and I concur with what you wrote. I bought him TWICE last year so something is telling me no at this stage despite the fact that the boy can play. I have Richmond's Martin and feel his father's' deportation has affected his performances. I didn't like his demeanour whilst Hardwick was talking to him at 3/4 time. I will be hoping he works his way through his demons.

Darbi · 27/04/2016 at 10:01

More viable trade option out of these two?

1. ben kennedy > parker and dea > t.lee
2. ben kennedy > heath shaw and dea > t.lee

Cheers

    annoying old lady · 27/04/2016 at 10:59

    Value-wise, Heater Shaw

Points-wise, close call but probably Parker.

I'm leaning towards Parker, but considering the structure for your team at the minute could be the decider in a trade like this. Bolster up that backline, or strengthen the midfield. Your call! Sorry I'm no help πŸ˜›

    Wattsieesq · 27/04/2016 at 11:03

So what your saying is Parker or Shaw for Ben Ken : )

I like to fill upgrade my midfield first because that is where point generation happens, so I'd say Parker but it is much of a muchness.

UPDATE, WINGARD NOT WORTH THE RISK

      Nifty · 27/04/2016 at 10:17

      Think Rance got 2 weeks..

        THANK YOU

    Rick Grimes · 27/04/2016 at 12:41

WHY MUST YOU SHOUT THIS? (it's a no from me).

Cameron · 27/04/2016 at 10:12

Are liberatore and wells going to be keepers this year?

    Big G · 27/04/2016 at 10:16

should both average 90-100. Depends on how other areas of your team are going.

      annoying old lady · 27/04/2016 at 11:06

Agree. Side note, Libbas role must have changed slightly from his role in the past, but I haven't been watching him closely enough. Anyone have any insight on this?

        Joel · 27/04/2016 at 12:21

I think it was on the Herald Sun website I read that he's going to play a role across half back due to the injuries to Bob, JJ and Suckling

          Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 14:51

He could go alright down there anyway, and will probably still have stints int he midfield….hopefully.

        Matt · 27/04/2016 at 18:57

Bulldogs just have such an even spread now, a lot stronger team than 2 years ago. It would be hard for any player to pump out 110-120s every week.
He spent a little time off half back on the weekend with Suckling going down, but that was more of a desperate matchday call. I would expect him to be too crucial for our midfield.

    Jonathan Camac · 27/04/2016 at 10:58

I tend to think they will be. Looking consistent performers – and besides, I have much bigger fish to fry.

    Wattsieesq · 27/04/2016 at 11:04

They are going to be my last upgrades. Not keepers for me.

      Derek · 27/04/2016 at 11:44

last upgrade for me, Wells might be a good M9/F7 to have

        fatboyfat7 · 27/04/2016 at 12:00

Agree Derek, little worried about cash generation this year though, no mid rookies really coming through yet so hoping I don't need to trade just for the cash…

          Derek · 27/04/2016 at 12:03

Kerridge has been a gift from the gods and no-one really appreciates him.

Defence rookies all over the place. Forward rookies everywhere (Petracca included as a forwrad rookie).

where have all the good Midfield Rookies gone?

            Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 14:53

There was too many of them at high prices sadly, Supercoach has ruined our profit!

Would've loved Mills, Parish, Oliver for 120k each.

          Derek · 27/04/2016 at 12:05

Agree, cash generation is difficult this year. as a result people must buy wisely, look for bargins instead of buying premos who have already increased in value (IE PARKER) look for the ones who have decreased…its pretty simple stuff.

            Derek · 27/04/2016 at 12:07

We might need to build a full premo team with $14mil or less this year. must trim the fat and don't waste 1 dollar.

squeeze every cent out of our rookies and buy fallen premiums

              Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 14:53

People are going to be lucky to hit 13 million the way they are going. They are holding donuts, lack of midfield rookies etc.

            Shake n bake · 27/04/2016 at 16:07

Wait for Smith after this week.

        Wattsieesq · 27/04/2016 at 12:10

Good call with Wells. Could very well be a decent bench swing.

          Derek · 27/04/2016 at 12:27

I had Motlop at the end of last year as my M9/F7 swinger (with loophole) he done real good….until i needed him in the grandfinals week…along with his weak geelong friends….grrrrr

            Wattsieesq · 27/04/2016 at 12:41

I usually either trade or play downgraded rookies. Not a great strategy, I might have to try the swinging mid!

              Derek · 27/04/2016 at 13:36

if you have the cash, having a fair dinkum keeper type player as a loophole at the end of the season, especially if they are DPP is GOLD.

North have early saturday games over the last three weeks, Wells would be good as a loophole. (Hawks have the best early draw at the end of the year)

    Danners · 27/04/2016 at 15:01

Libba might be, Wells could be if he survives the season

    Matt · 27/04/2016 at 18:54

Wells definitely could be but dont think Libba will. You really want all of your mids to be averaging 110+, and Libba won't quite reach that I believe. He's extremely low priority though, will be in my team until very late in the year.

      Matt · 27/04/2016 at 18:58

Thats assuming Wells is in your FWD line btw, he could be a FWD keeper but not a MID keeper.

Big G · 27/04/2016 at 10:17

Trading Fyfe and Wingard for Pendelbury/Selwood and Ward or Hanners and Gray. Opinions appreciated.

    Wattsieesq · 27/04/2016 at 11:07

I'd hold off on Gray. Price will drop further. You'll be able to pick him up cheap in a couple of weeks. All the rest are great options. I have Hanners and he's been great. Both Penddles and Selwood won't be cheaper than this. I am worried about Penddles and whether the ANZAC clash was a one off against a weak bombers team or is Buckley going to play him more through the midfield.

      Steeeve · 27/04/2016 at 11:29

Surely after putting Pendles in the guts and watching the domination the Pies have to leave him there right? Right??

        Wattsieesq · 27/04/2016 at 12:15

You would think he would be but I don't know the inner workings of the mind on Bucks, so I'm waiting another week to see.

      Dion · 27/04/2016 at 17:59

Is it bad having Parker and hanners in the same side?

    Danners · 27/04/2016 at 15:02

Pendles and Ward, both consistent players, Hannebery is also a good option if you don't have Parker

      Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 15:41

There's nothing wrong with having Hannebery and Parker is there? O.o

        Big G · 27/04/2016 at 16:33

They seem to be scoring well together – some people just like to have a mixture.

        Danners · 27/04/2016 at 19:05

Just look at Zaharakis and Merrett on ANZAC Day combined they only just made 100. It might not have happened yet for them but it could.

Scotty · 27/04/2016 at 10:21

Is it too late to get in DBJ, sill got a lot of money to make

    Gord29 · 27/04/2016 at 10:43

Still has a negative break even so no but obviously miss out on last weeks rise

      Jonathan Camac · 27/04/2016 at 10:51

      agreed.

    Matt · 27/04/2016 at 18:59

Probably yes. There are quite a few other options in Petracca, Tom Lee and Aliir Aliir. Byrne-Jones could easily do what most of the rookies have done this year and start churning out 30s after a strong start

      TruthFORUM · 28/04/2016 at 21:09

lol Aliir Aliir will be out soon on rape charges, what else can be expected from the Sudanese.. its part of their culture and the norm. Tom Lee hasnt been selected and Gray and Wingard are out for a couple. And I wouldnt select that sudanese fella Aliir because no doubt he will be out on rape charges… ohh did i mention that already??? LOL

        Matt · 28/04/2016 at 21:24

        what an absolute f*ckwit comment

Gord29 · 27/04/2016 at 10:43

How many trades have put got left. I have 26 and currently think about going dea to Lee for the extra cash quick

    Jonathan Camac · 27/04/2016 at 10:52

I'm making that trade too. Great minds think alike πŸ˜‰

    Beezneez · 27/04/2016 at 11:49

Although Lekdog says Lee's JS is good, I'm not so sure as H. Goddard and Delaney are waiting in the wings. Lee got a little stitched up by Cameron and was moved to Lobb/Patton. Thinking Darcy Tucker would be a better fit – good rebounding defender with initial JS. Also think Dea's scores prior to the Colingwood game have been solid but his BE is 67 (attainable?). I'm thinking of getting rid of Menadue who may not play and BenKen as options for Tucker/Petracca (hoping he's named) and bringing in either Zorko or Pendlebury – this depends on structures and whether or not B Crouch is named. Currently sitting 300 with 28 trades and was expecting score over 2400 until Z Merrett and Dea spudded it up in the last game.

      Shake n bake · 27/04/2016 at 16:15

Well said beezneez I'm holding off this week not keen on lee I'll jump on Tucker next week.

        Gord29 · 27/04/2016 at 18:41

Thanks for the feedback I currently have a reasonable amount in the war chest so can hold of just looking to cull cows when it's going to work best even if they haven't fully fattened. Would like to upgrade a few of the next couple weeks so that was the reason considering lee

annoying old lady · 27/04/2016 at 10:56

Go easy on Dea for the time being. He's a solid player with a mature body and great job security. I think he's still got plenty of cash generation to be made yet, and in the meantime, some solid scores for a rookie-priced player (all bar his 41 on the weekend). Hold for now!

    @DimSIMpson · 27/04/2016 at 12:52

Fyfe has a broken leg, would have thought that would have raised an alarm bell or two…

Steeeve · 27/04/2016 at 11:14

I'm holding Wingard. 120+ in his first game, which was also the only one he didn't get injured. Current injury is a mild concussion (his first for the season).
Will ride out another few poor weeks then either a) he's a pod or b) everyone jumps on him as a fallen premo and I've saved a trade.

    Derek · 27/04/2016 at 11:49

i'm holding. he had a hammy issue against Crows and a smack in the head last week. He will come good and when he does……you and me will be the only two laughing πŸ˜‰

      Big G · 27/04/2016 at 12:01

He seriously does not look good this year – plays to far up the ground to get good points and if he is on the ball, does not seem able to find it.

        Derek · 27/04/2016 at 12:30

do you remember his NAB games. i was 50/50 until i saw him at his best. His best is still good enough to be a top 6 forwrad.

          Higgo's Dog · 27/04/2016 at 13:10

trade him and get him back at the lower price

            Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 14:16

Then if he never gets back to form 2 trades wasted. Might only drop another 50k too.

              Derek · 27/04/2016 at 14:53

              Higgo must have been joking.

                Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 15:41

I dunno I've seen some crazy theories on here!

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 27/04/2016 at 12:56

Against all my better judgement I am also holding. I picked him for a reason and will just have to ride it out. I was gonna rage trade Monday but have cooled my jets in fact don't think I will b doing any trades this week. Which is a bit different to my thoughts at the start of the week.

      Davonaise · 27/04/2016 at 13:28

Port are getting smashed in midfield every game, no plan B, Hinkly is a stubborn coach who lies about how far up the wall they reall are.
The game plan is shot, the team does not play like a team, how many times do you see a port player getting swamped by 1-2 more opposition players at the contest?

Wingard is getting little feed in his likened forword half, people who have Wingard beware…..

        Derek · 27/04/2016 at 13:46

ports main problem is the same problem my Supercoach team had at the start of the year. Fortunately i was able to get rid of him from my team. not sure what port can do to get rid of the lobbe.

          Nibbles · 27/04/2016 at 14:11

You just said you're holding him though?

            Steeeve · 27/04/2016 at 14:21

Holding Wingard. Derek traded Lobbe. Throwing Paddy Ryder in the ruck would give all port players a good boost.

          Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 14:36

After one good season in 2014 they decided to give everyone 5 year deals. Poor management.

Lost an awesome coach to the crows, got in Voss and had a terrible 2015. But resigned him. Poor management.

          No Plan B. Poor Coaching.

Can't get the players to perform. Poor Coaching.

Traded two years worth of draft picks for Ryder and Dixon. Poor management.

Whilst not in good form Lobbe is not the main problem at Port Adelaide, not by a long shot.

            Steeeve · 27/04/2016 at 16:43

True. But he's a main reason for the midfielders underperforming from a Supercoach perspective.

        Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 14:55

Seems to me the players don't want to play for the coaches anymore. Cue loud alarm bells followed by heads rolling.

    fatboyfat7 · 27/04/2016 at 15:58

I'll be looking at Wingard next week, should be in the $400k region. Yes please.

Swansong · 27/04/2016 at 11:41

Trading fyfe and dea out and thinking either
Sellwood and Lee with 254,000 left in bank
OR Sellwood and mclean with 25,000 left
OR any other suggestions who I should get

The Beard · 27/04/2016 at 11:58

What's everyone's thoughts on Fantasia ? Lowest score for the year is 87 top 102? Defender costing 360kish?

    Danners · 27/04/2016 at 14:56

An interesting POD, if you don't have much cash, could be worth the punt

    Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 14:58

Hasn't he been discussed enough already mate? πŸ™‚

Take the risk I know you want to!

The Weapon · 27/04/2016 at 11:59

Should I trade Dea to Lee, not too sure about Lee's Job security. I can still downgrade to DBJ but I feel I have missed that boat

    tom · 27/04/2016 at 12:08

Should of got DBJ last week bud.

    Beezneez · 27/04/2016 at 12:31

DBJ still has money to make. Darcy Tucker?

    r646 · 27/04/2016 at 15:16

Im eyeing off tucker, not sure whether to downgrade this week or next

      Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 15:40

      It's freakin risky.

Unless you are planning on getting Wright and Smith next week on the bubble there is zero point to getting Tucker now.

Plus I'd get Smith first before Tucker anyway if he's named this week.

        Shake n bake · 27/04/2016 at 16:22

I'd wait a week & get tucker in instead of lee. Ross will play some kids now & Johnson out long term. I'm also thinking a lot of the ball will be down back for Freo.

          Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 16:45

Saints and rookies never seem to work out for me, not that I had Gresham but talking about previous years.

magpie4ver · 27/04/2016 at 12:17

HS SC says in the little note on the players of Marcus Adams that it time to move on from him in the next week? Would anyone agree with this? I'm keeping him he averages 93 and Doggies backline is really depleted right now.

    Derek · 27/04/2016 at 12:35

His BE is 44. Footywire has him getting to $406k in a few weeks time.

    Rick Grimes · 27/04/2016 at 12:48

Id rate that advice as pretty poor. If he maintains that average, and there's no suggestion he can't, for the next 3-4 rounds, he'll be worth $450k. Jumping too early could cost you a $100k, and probably more importantly, he's one of the better scoring/most consistent defenders so far this season. So who would you swap him for? I think we need another 3-4 weeks to work out who the must haves are in defence.

      magpie4ver · 27/04/2016 at 12:53

I agree. I'm not Jumping off him. I just thought it was odd comment based on Doggies backline and he's pretty much the one of their main defenders of the back line. I see keeping him though the byes and even beyond if he maintains a 90 plus?

        Rick Grimes · 27/04/2016 at 13:13

Agree. He's by far and away one of my least concerns.

      Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 14:40

Agree it's terrible advice, the guy is averaging 93.2 and Laird who people are paying 500k for is averaging 96.4

    Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 14:45

Just read the advice note and you've changed it significantly.

It does not say that it's time to move him on next week.

It says this is NOT ALARMING yet, but another POOR game and we need to LOOK AT moving him on. Far different to the picture you painted.

    lol seriously…………….

      Adam · 27/04/2016 at 16:51

I think you are completely stupid, you at least keep he until you squeeze out every penny and THEN you trade them based on their BE

      We that said
DEA- BE of 68. Should make that. No concern for me
WEITERING – BE of 79. Bigger fish for me to fry and in the future his BE should drop – HOLD
ADAMS- don't even know why you would consider trading

        Adam · 27/04/2016 at 16:52

        With instead of we

        Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 17:04

Not sure who you are referring to as nobody actually said they were trading him out.

People need to read more carefully, including Magpie4eva from the SC players notes!

          magpie4ver · 27/04/2016 at 17:12

          LOL

      magpie4ver · 27/04/2016 at 16:59

I'm not trying to paint a picture! Yes it says that but if he has 1 more bad game LOOK AT MOVING ON FROM HIM. Basically saying if he has another bad game trade him! That's all I'm saying………. Seriously! lol

Dan · 27/04/2016 at 12:35

Parker or Pendlebury?
I had Parker all last year and he was a bit disappointing. He had some purple patches and would then go missing for a few weeks. Will he be consistent this year?
Then Pendlebury has a ridiculous SC record over the years, but has been playing a different role until Anzac day.
I know the smart thing to do with Pendlebury is wait 1 more week, but I want to bring in a premo this week and won't have the $$$ next week.

    Rick Grimes · 27/04/2016 at 13:27

I was 100% going Fyfe to Parker. But I feel Pendles will be back in the thick of it from now on. Both good picks but perhaps Pendles more of a POD (I don't know the ownership %s mind you).

      Derek · 27/04/2016 at 13:44

      Pendles 20%, parker 24%

i would go pendles. proven ultra premium

    fatboyfat7 · 27/04/2016 at 16:01

Parker had a few injuries last year, looks back to his best now though,

Francis · 27/04/2016 at 12:50

Parker, Selwood or Priddis?

And

Pittard or Docherty?

    Danners · 27/04/2016 at 15:04

    Priddis and Docherty, safest options

    Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 15:36

Parker averaged 110 when he was 21 years old. Absolute gun.

    Averaging 125 so far. Lock.

    Docherty/Simpson/laird/Shaw. Lock.

    Matt · 27/04/2016 at 16:26

docherty, i dont trust anyone at port at the moment. both are good options, ill be looking at pittard when port get up and running

Ryan · 27/04/2016 at 12:52

After this weeks trades, how many will everyone have left? Is 23 okay?

    dom · 27/04/2016 at 13:13

Depends on how many premo upgrades you've placed into your team already. I have 23 trades but I'm pretty happy considering I'm 6/7 players away from finals quality team. So ill need 5 downgrade trades leaving me with about 11 to use on injury or bad form. Doesn't always go to plan but solid position to be in none the less.

      Ozyjumbo · 27/04/2016 at 17:11

Can I ask were are you currently ranked Dom ?

    Derek · 27/04/2016 at 13:26

having the byes later this year changes the timing of using trades.

in the past when the byes have been round 11 onward, it was a perfect time to use 3 trades per week, to not only avoid donuts, but to cull rookies and bring in the keepers.

having the byes later, means a change in that approach. but it is only a couple of weeks.

I originally though i would need at least 17 trades by the time the byes started. Allowing 9 trades over the three weeks of the byes and have min 8 trades left (1 for each round) to cover suspensions, injuries etc. But full premium side by round 15.

with a some careful planning, i might be one or two keepers more at the byes and use 1 or 2 less trades over the byes.

last year i had 8 trades left with 5 weeks to play and needed every last one of them

Higgo's dog · 27/04/2016 at 13:08

I myself would steer away from Sloane. He is injury prone and body is a worry.

    Davonaise · 27/04/2016 at 13:37

    Injury prone?
Knocks to the face and braking cheek bones twice last year is not injury prone that's bad luck imo.

Not like he limped off with a hammy or broke his leg or ankle, does not have soft tissue issues like other premo players who still get picked for some reason

      Derek · 27/04/2016 at 13:40

i agree. Sloane and gray are battling it out for my M8 spot. i really liked what i saw from Sloane last week, his tackling was top shelf.

        Derek · 27/04/2016 at 13:40

i agree with Dav. not injury prone.

          Higgo's Dog · 27/04/2016 at 13:50

Guess we will see….he is so courageous…high chance he will end up on the sidelines is what I meant

            Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 15:26

He's been quite consistent bar last year's freak injuries.

            Games played

            2012 – 21
            2013 – 21
            2014 – 22
            2015 – 16
            2016 – All 5 so far.

I don't see a high chance of an unlucky injury like 2015.

        safron · 27/04/2016 at 14:53

how did you go derek are you climbing up last time was 730000 good luck

          Derek · 27/04/2016 at 16:20

a small increase in the rankings last week. just can't catch a break this year, seem to have the wrong rookies on field every week, although even the rookies would have done better than Wingard.

have got my eye on a few PODs that i think will make a big difference

      Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 14:38

Agreed Sloane is not injury prone just goes hard and cops some hits for it.

When loersch and dunkley gonna play? Is it worth bringing in people who will play sooner rather than later?

    Kev · 27/04/2016 at 17:18

Wouldn't think Loersch will get a game this year

    John · 27/04/2016 at 17:18

I doubt Loersch will play as he is probably behind Currie at the Suns, but you never know. Not sure about Dunkley he was in the side early and may return but I wouldn't have high hopes for either. I think you've made a couple of waste rookie selections. xD

Darbi · 27/04/2016 at 13:25

When loersch and dunkley gonna play? Is it worth bringing in people who will play sooner rather than later?

Rosco · 27/04/2016 at 13:29

I'm going Fyfe to Rockliff as a POD. Hoping he regains past form. Plus Brisbane's draw opens up later in year. Also allows me to go Lonergan to Shaw

    Risky.

Is Dea a must trade out or will he bounce back against the Blues? I think he's a go another week?

Thoughts?

Cheers

    Steeeve · 27/04/2016 at 14:24

I'm holding. He won't lose much even if he struggles again.

    Boltons Blues · 27/04/2016 at 14:32

im trading him to boyd, seems worth it for me
    then fyfe to Sloane

    leaving my team as follows

    Backs – Shaw//Laird//Boyd//Weitering//DBJ//Byrne (Brown//Ruggles)
    Mids – Danger//Ablett//Sloane//Gray//Cripps//Shiel//Libba//Mills (Davis//B.Crouch//Dunkley)
    Rucks – Goldy//Gawn (Grimley)
    Forwards – Hall//Wells//Adams//Kerridge//BenKen//AMT (Menadue//Cox)

With 505k to play with, a double cull next week, 2 premos/fallen premos for 2 rookies i think need upgrading next week (at the moment, its BenKen and Menadue, hopefully they hold their spot this week of course)
Hopefully Petracca kills it, bring him in the week after for AMT then upgrade another spot will leave me in a good spot getting closer to the bye rounds

    Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 14:47

No he's not a must trade out. One low score in a blowout.

    Danners · 27/04/2016 at 14:54

Not a must trade, won't lose a heap of money if he scores 60 or if any at all

    Average Joe · 28/04/2016 at 07:32

Not a must trade but he will probably only end up making 50k more than he is now. I think it is a good time to trade him imo as there are plenty of rookies that will need culling over the next few weeks with players like BenKen, Menadue, Mills, Brown, McCarthy and Tippa just a few of the rookies that are drawing nearer to their max price.

    Grahame Lebroy · 28/04/2016 at 09:42

Think its worth giving him another week. BE of 68 , shouldn't be too far away from that

Mitch · 27/04/2016 at 14:42

My team is
shaw laird adams weitering dea dbj amt m.brown
fyfe parker pendles ablett libba mills hewitt kennedy cunningham davis dunkley
gawn martin cox
hall wells martin kerridge barlow mccarthy menadue petracca
800k in bank and 27 trades

obvious one is parker out thinking for danger
next trade i cant toss up who to cull first out dea and kennedy and who to bring in – like the looks of fallen premos next week in houli, mcveigh, gray, rocky etc or should i be making a move now with my cash in bank

thanks community!

    Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 14:49

Assuming you mean Fyfe out? Not Parker?

Kennedy might get dropped this week making your other trade out decision easier.

      Mitch · 27/04/2016 at 14:53

Yes thats what i meant lol

        Derek · 27/04/2016 at 16:08

Parker out could be the great Shark Move!

Danners · 27/04/2016 at 14:53

Great cheat sheet Lek! But have you been watching Jacobs? Looks extremely slow and keeps losing the ruck to lower ranked ruckman. Rather bring in Martin/Blicavs over him. Big call, but could have big reward

    Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 15:21

Jacobs has always been slow lol.

35 hitouts vs Goldy 44, not that bad.

    41 vs Lobbe 38

    28 vs Hampson 34

    35 vs Tippet 35

    40 vs McEvoy 26/Ceglar 16

His numbers aren't that bad just needs more to advantage and a few more touches around the ground. I wouldn't really say he's losing the ruck to lower ruckmen though.

      Mark B · 27/04/2016 at 15:59

I am still trying to work out how he only got 75 last week. 10 Hit outs to advantage.17 possessions @65% DE.3 marks 1 an intercept,2 frees for none against, Heaven forbid he plays badly we will be looking at a negative score. Will hold on and hope it turns around

        Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 16:40

That's interesting mark wonder if Goldy got those stats he'd get 100?

      Danners · 27/04/2016 at 19:00

He hasn't scored 100 yet, normally he would have by now

Michael · 27/04/2016 at 15:02

What's a better trade, dea to Simpson or dea to Martin or dea to Tom lee

    siri · 27/04/2016 at 15:11

I m going dea to lee

    Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 15:15

    They are all different.

Which option is better for your structure?

Will one trade result in too many rookies on a certain line?

Do you need cash growth right now? or do you have a large warchest you're trying to get onto the park?

    What's Martin's BE?

Do you reckon he'll come back into form shortly?

Sure Dea won't hit his BE? Could Hold.

Simply asking 'which one is better' in such a situation, for me it's impossible to answer.

    Wayno76 · 27/04/2016 at 16:29

i would wait another week or two for martin as he will go down even more

fatboyfat7 · 27/04/2016 at 15:15

I'm holding Suckling. I can stomach 4 weeks. Will be handy DPP later on.

    peecee · 27/04/2016 at 15:28

I can't stomach the month; so he's out for me. Perhaps you have a stronger back with which to carry him?!

      magpie4ver · 27/04/2016 at 16:01

He could be out for more than 4 weeks. That's on the low end.

    I N Pieman · 27/04/2016 at 16:07

Ballsy. My rule is 3 weeks or over & it's see ya

    Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 16:39

it's too long and there could be complications with the injury who knows, bad move especially as he's not even a premo.

    Matt · 27/04/2016 at 19:02

That's a lot of points you'll be sacrificing to save a trade. Expect him to be out for more than 4 weeks as well

Tommo09 · 27/04/2016 at 15:36

Dea to Lee???
Fyfe to Pendles???
Menadue to Dahlhaus???

Here's my team
Def: Shaw, Laird, Weitering, Adams, Tippa, DBJ (Dea, Byrne)
Mid: danger, GAJ, Fyfe, Parker, Libba, M.crouch, Mills, Bennedy (Menadue, Davis, Gresham)
Ruck: Goldy, NicNat (Grimley)
Fwd: Martin, Hall, Barlow, Wells, Kerridge, Papley (M.Brown, Petracca)

$464k and 26 trades left
Any ideas welcome

    Derek · 27/04/2016 at 16:06

your defense is very thin. Having to play 4 rookies on field must be keeping you awake at night. I would use the cash you have to upgrade your defense.

Fyfe to pendles can't go wrong either.

Korza · 27/04/2016 at 15:47

* LEKDOG

Currently ranked 44th overall in AFL fantasy, picked up Sloane last week. I'm gonna take a punt on M.Adams > Wright. This will leave me with 90K.
Any consultation with my journet to the centre of the MCG on Grand Final day will be appreciated.
Team Name: KORZA ranked 44th. Thanks in advance.

    Derek · 27/04/2016 at 16:00

you are trading out M Adams?

      Korza · 27/04/2016 at 16:21

      Straight out, no mucking around.

    Steeeve · 27/04/2016 at 16:46

I know the best of the best have to take big risks but sheesh. Adams will likely average the same as Wright from here onward whilst making you more cash!

    LEKD0G · 27/04/2016 at 18:57

I like the trade mate and I'll be happy to hold your hand as you dominate the competition.

    Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 19:58

Don't change your game style because of your rank.

Nicholas · 27/04/2016 at 15:48

Here is my team community

Backs: Laird, Smith, Bartel, Dea, Weitering, DBJ (Hartley, Brown)

Mids: Fyfe, Ablett, Danger, Gray, Wines, Rich, Libba, Mills ( B ken, Menadue, Davis)

Ruck: Gawn, Nic Nat (Cox)

Fowards: Barlow, Hall, Wells, Adams, Kerridge, Tippa ( Papley, Mccarthy)

Currently got 24 trades and 385k in the bank.

Thinking Fyfe to Parker as my first trade.

My 2nd trade could be something like dea/ weitering out rich back in the defence and bring in a premo. Then next week I could go weitering up to Heath Shaw when he hits his lowest however I am not sure if I have enough money for this to get reliable premos and shaw.

I could also trade out B ken for either a forward premo or mid premo.

Any advice is welcome and good luck this week with your trades

    Derek · 27/04/2016 at 16:00

Hi Nic, did you see the post on the other thread.
Suggesting you trade Fyfe to a premo. Dea to a Midfield premo via Rich (swinging Rich back to Defence). then next week upgrading Weitering/Brown to shaw. depending on the maths you will have about $1120 to get your two midfield premos.

      Nicholas · 27/04/2016 at 18:19

Oh my bad I did not see your post. The problem is that it is hard to get 2 top 10 midfielders for $1120

Tommo09 · 27/04/2016 at 15:56

Priddis, Pendles, Hannebery or Mitchell for Fyfe??

    I N Pieman · 27/04/2016 at 16:07

All good options. Pick the one that suits your byes best

    Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 16:37

Hanners, Pendle, Priddis, Mitchell in that order for me.

james · 27/04/2016 at 15:59

hello community this is my team

Defence:
Laird, Adams, Houli, Weitering, Dea, DBJ (Byrne, Ruggles)

Midfield:

Dangerfield, Ablett, Hannebery, Priddis, RGray, Taylor Adams, Shiel, Parish (Hewett, Davis, Gresham)

Ruck:
Gawn, Nic Nat (Lorensch – for loophole)

Forward:
Hall, Wells, Kerridge, De Goey, Benken, Tipungwuti (Menadue, Petraca)

what trades do you think i best for my stucture
Dea + Weitereing = Simpson + Shaw

Dea + BenKen = Buddy + Dahlhaus

Dea + Benken = Simpson + Dahlhaus

Or any other trades that helps my structure – 518k in the warchest

    Wayno76 · 27/04/2016 at 16:27

    I like option 3

    Harley · 27/04/2016 at 16:39

I'd definitely go Dea to shaw. However I reckon weitering has a few more dollars to make, upgrade in a couple of weeks. Give benken one more week as he wont drop much in price and watch Barlow this week against the crows and if he has another blinder you may pick him up for around $490 k and would be a strong option without fyfe in the team. i think Dallhouse is a solid pick but a expensive ATM. If Greene pumps out another big score this week also should be in the radar while he is cheap.

      Harley · 27/04/2016 at 16:39

      Sorry Dahlhouse. Lol

        james · 27/04/2016 at 16:46

so what trades would you make?

          Harley · 27/04/2016 at 17:31

I think Dea to Shaw is great this week and other than that your team is looking good. I definitely think you need to upgrade either menadue or benken, menadue probably first however I think you should wait till end of this round and watch Barlow and Greene and see how they go and jump on either one while they are cheapish and save yourself some money. But it's to early to make that call on either this week.

If you really want to trade benken up this week Dahlhous or Zorko would be great options. But I would wait IMO use every dollar to your best advantage.

          Good luck.

    Hall, Dahlhaus, Zorko, Franklin.

    Bounced back – Greene, Barlow

Both scare me but I'd bench Papley. With Kennedy I guess you're locking in at least a 60 (cant see him going any worse than last week), Papley could give you anything from 20-100

Tommo09 · 27/04/2016 at 16:25

Thoughts on Cotchin, Killing it at the moment and had 30+ possies for the past four weeks

    I N Pieman · 27/04/2016 at 16:50

If you're finding it too easy & need to add some frustration to your life pick Cotchin

    Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 16:52

Nice POD. he'd have some huge scores in some of those games if his DE was up.

Only 104 against WCE with 29 touches (16 contested) 7 FF 1 FA. Doesn't make sense. 5 clangers I guess and 69% DE killed it for him.

Harley · 27/04/2016 at 17:15

Ok community! Looking for some of your awesome feedback please. I'm ranked 416 overall and looking to jump the ranks again this week. Have 25 trades left. My current team is

Defence:
Shaw, B. Smith, Sheridan, Adams, Dea, Byrne jones
(Amt, brown)

Midfield:
Danger, ablett, R.Gray, wines, cripps, libba, parish, benken
(B.crouch, Hewitt, Davis)

Rucks:
Goldstein, Gawn (Wyatt)

Forwards:
Waite, Hall, Greene, Merrit, Wells, Kerridge
(Papley, McGovern)

I'm hoping B. Crouch plays this week and bringing him back on feild.

I'm thinking of trading benken for Petracca if he is named and upgrading Dea to Laird/Docherty leaning towards laird.

I'm hoping Sheridan can improve his scores with the injuries to freo now or do you think I should keep Dea a few more more weeks and upgrade Sheridan ?

Option 2 is downgrade Dea to Lee and upgrade benken to Sloane while he is at a good price?

Option 3 don't trade at all.

Yes I'm a crows fan. I will upgrade crouch in time but I haven't needed to trade him yet so may as well keep for now.

Cheers

    Beezneez · 27/04/2016 at 17:48

Of the options you presented, if it was my team, I would prioritise getting in Laird or Docherty.

Source melbounre fc facebook page

    Wayno76 · 27/04/2016 at 17:57

If he plays would you put him straight on the field or sit him on the bench to see how he goes. I think ill play him and bench Papley

      @TheNoLanguage · 27/04/2016 at 22:43

I'd loophole him if you could but if not play him. The kid is a gun.

Andy · 27/04/2016 at 17:40

What do people think of Fyfe and Menadue to Viney and hunter?

    Southern S · 28/04/2016 at 12:56

Not sure I'd probably rather lock in an ultra premo and a rookie.

John · 27/04/2016 at 17:44

Hello community, I'm currently up in arms as to who I'm going to bring in for Nat Fyfe, the general trend seems to be bringing in another common premium like Pendlebury, Parker, Priddis etc. But I feel It would be more beneficial to trade Fyfe to a more left field player such as Cal Ward or possibly Rory Sloane – Am I crazy???

    Saundo · 27/04/2016 at 17:48

No you're not thinking the same!

    Harley · 27/04/2016 at 17:51

Good move! Use the fyfe trade to seperate yourself from pack. Sloane and ward the 2 best options.

    Wizard of Ertz · 27/04/2016 at 17:57

agree, both good picks. I am also thinking about Coniglio

Nick · 27/04/2016 at 17:48

Pendlebury, ward or priddis.? Thoughts please

    Danners · 27/04/2016 at 19:07

All consistent scorers, although with Buckley at the helm, no one has any idea where Pendlebury could play next. Priddis would be safest option

    Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 19:12

Like all 3, Like them in the order you have listed.

pendle because he'a proven ultra premo, Ward for the PODand high scoring this season, Priddis, cos he's priddis.

James · 27/04/2016 at 17:56

Take out Suckling and Weitering (BE of 79), Move McDonald Tipungwuti into DEF, Bring Matthew Wright into FWD line, and then bring a in a mid and a fwd. By taking out these two I have a total of $1,156,600 I can work with. So I can essentially get any mid or fwd I want.

Just not sure who!! So just need a bit of help deciding what players would be the best to pick. Had in mind either Parker, Hannebery, Ward or Selwood for my mid.

    James · 27/04/2016 at 18:02

    This is my team btw

Def: Shaw, Laird, Rich, Weitering, Marcus Adams, DBJ, Bench: Mitch Brown, Tom Ruggles

Mid: Danger, Ablett, Sam Mitchell, Pendles, Zaharakis, Libba, Wright, Matt crouch, Bench: George Hewett, Ryan Davis, Jordan Snadden,

    Ruck: Gawn, Naitanui, Bemch: Grimley

Fwd: Hall, McDonald Tipungwuti, Daniel Wells, De Goey, Kerridge, Suckling, Bench: Papley, Menadue

Supercoach-Press · 27/04/2016 at 17:58

Who to bring into the midfield, can bring in anyone of the likes of s mitchell, selwood, parker, ward etc. Parker is scoring loads but will that help me rank? Everyone will be bringing him in this week with Fyfe out and even though I don't have fyfe I don't want to be a sheep. Help me out – should I be wise and follow the shoal or risk it heavily and be a shark.

    Saundo · 27/04/2016 at 18:01

Go with Selwood. Saw him live on Saturday night and he's a beast of the leash with Danger copping most attention

    Supercoach-Press · 27/04/2016 at 18:03

    What about sloane?

      Saundo · 27/04/2016 at 18:06

He burnt me last year so I'm staying away but your choice

Darbi · 27/04/2016 at 18:07

Are selwood and danger a risk to have in the same team?

    The Weapon · 27/04/2016 at 18:25

Yeah I believe so having them both might be a bit DANGER-ous!!! xD

    SCaddict · 27/04/2016 at 18:52

Yes it spells trouble if you ask me … trouble for your league opponents!

      Darbi · 27/04/2016 at 19:26

Good shout but should sloane be considered over selwood

      Darbi · 27/04/2016 at 19:27

And if we don't have parker is he of more importance

        SCaddict · 27/04/2016 at 20:07

It's hard to split the three as well as others like Pridda, Pendles and Ward and you could easily make a case for each one.

I have a natural bias towards Parker as a Swannies supporter and I intend bringing him in this week. But gee Jelwood and Sloanedog look awesome additions too.

    Shake n bake · 27/04/2016 at 21:17

I have both like Geelong draw picked up Selwood when crouch went out at 550k. I had a look at the bye rds aswell and that's the least players I have out that rd aswell so won't hurt. Av 112 think he'll finish higher that come seasons end.

    MAC IS BACK · 28/04/2016 at 12:20

no way ive got them both and i think selwood is a massive POD. who wouldnt have him in their team after that awesome performance, plus if danger gets tagged then selwood would swoop in and grab all the points

Koovie · 27/04/2016 at 18:10

Is Matt Dea a must trade this week ?

    SCaddict · 27/04/2016 at 18:49

No way a must trade. Patient coaches may be able to eek out another $50K from him as that 41 he served up on the weekend was most likely an outlier.

Having said that I'll be culling either him or BenKen this week as I want to get on Parker now, before he shoots up any closer to $600K, as well as take advantage of the Swans dream fixture over the next 3 weeks.

      Mac · 27/04/2016 at 18:51

Addict what trades do you have in mind?

        SCaddict · 27/04/2016 at 19:14

Unless something unforeseen happens this week I intend culling Weitering and either Dea or BenKen for Lee and Parker. I'll be waiting for Petracca to bubble up before getting him in unless he stars this weekend in which case I may consider him next week.

Was initially looking at bringing in Shaw but he hasn't tonned up against the Hawks in a while (although scored ok) so will hopefully be a tad cheaper next week with the 122 BE. He'll likely be my next premo trade in target either next week or the week after.

How about you Mac? Are you trading or holding this week?

          Mac · 27/04/2016 at 20:03

Thinking Fyfe to Hanners and Dea to Lee. You don't have Fyfe?

            SCaddict · 27/04/2016 at 20:09

Managed to dodge that disaster thankfully.

          Shake n bake · 27/04/2016 at 21:23

I might go a week early and get tucker instead of lee then Kennedy to Hanners. With your trades in mind caddict that means you'll have Hanners & Parker?

            SCaddict · 27/04/2016 at 21:39

Yes indeed and I'm more than comfortable holding both. I have both Jelwood and Danger in my RDT side and that seems to be working out ok so far.

              Darbi · 28/04/2016 at 09:25

Are you worried about the bye rounds with dange selwood hanners and parker out?

          TRIGGER HAPPY · 27/04/2016 at 21:31

I'm holding this week. Then next week.the plan is to bring in grimely creating a dpp with wyatt and some ruck back up. Also let's me loop wyatt with a rook who plays early getting two looks at it.

          Then trade longeran to shaw.
2 weeks trade paps to petrecca creating a dpp with mendapoo and then BenKen to either dahlhouse, zorko or Martin.

            SCaddict · 27/04/2016 at 21:37

That sounds like a reasonable plan Trigger. I'm not sure Grimley will be much of a scorer or whether his JS will be that amazing either but I guess some ruck back up is better than none.

Lonergan has been another one of those midpriced disappointments unfortunately so upgrading him to Shaw looks a wise move.

              TRIGGER HAPPY · 27/04/2016 at 21:52

Thanks addict not looking for cash from grimely. Just wanna bring wyatt in as a fwd bench and loop with a rook who plays early. Then I hopefully don't get stuck with a pap or mendapoo 30 measly points.

Yep longeran gotta move the lad on. Pre season tease who hadn't come to the party.

Shaw as u said plays hawks so prepared to wait a week.

Tom · 27/04/2016 at 18:25

would fyfe to Viney and ben kennedy to wright be stupid?

    Tophawk · 27/04/2016 at 18:54

Risky, but not necessarily stupid. Viney is developing beautifully as a midfielder who last weekend broke out a bit with that 144. Wright is the real risky part of this deal for me. I personally would at least watch him for one more week before making the call. But if you go through with it this week, you will either be on a high on Sunday night or in utter despair…asking yourself why did I do it!

    Good luck,

    Cheers

      Tom · 27/04/2016 at 18:57

Would Jarryd Lyons be a smarter option as he can generate more cash

        Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 19:10

        Risky

Tophawk · 27/04/2016 at 18:27

Still stewing over who to get in for Nat Fyfe………Its a crucial decision this. He has to be an ultra premo keeper who is durable, a consistent tonne scorer, and down in price a bit at this point in time.

The four that are on top of my hit list are Pendles, Jelwood, Priddis and Hanners.

PODS which also look appealing are Sloane, Sidebottom, and JPK.

I already have Danger, Parker, Ward, and Robbie Gray as season keepers.

Who should I go with community? One of the above or someone else? And why?

Cheers

    tom · 27/04/2016 at 18:43

pick someone who will be top 10 mid mate. I'm going Hanners.

Dee · 27/04/2016 at 18:27

Fyfe OUT Sloane/Priddis IN….. thoughts on Priddis and Sloane community?

    Tophawk · 27/04/2016 at 18:51

Both good picks. Sloane has the added advantage of having a bit of POD status as well. But overall I would lean to Priddis as he can go big regularly. Sloane not quite in his league yet.

    Cheers

    Danners · 27/04/2016 at 19:01

Both good PODs, although Priddis has averaged more in previous seasons

      Dee · 27/04/2016 at 19:25

thanks lads….. should I go Parker instead?

gator59 · 27/04/2016 at 18:54

Petracca playing this week!!

    SCaddict · 27/04/2016 at 19:05

A lot of coaches will be bringing him in this week and many already have him on their benches. I'll be waiting a least a week and potentially two as durability hasn't exactly been his calling card so far.

Yes he's had a nice stint in the magoos this season but the AFL is a whole new intensity level obviously.

      Tophawk · 27/04/2016 at 19:09

The only concern this throws up is; who will make way for him? My guess is that it will probably be B. Kennedy after that mediocre effort last week. I obviously hope not, as most of us have him, but its on the cards………….

    Tophawk · 27/04/2016 at 19:06

Yes!! I started with him and he grabbed me heaps of loophole points in the first 5 rounds, so it was worth starting with him. Now he can hit the field without having to trade him in. Very very pleased. This bloke is going to be a star. Hope he can stay fit and become a ripper cash cow!!

tom · 27/04/2016 at 19:06

is it worth trading to Mathieson this week instead of Lee? Not sure of Lee's JS and Mathieson was a lock all pre season until he got taken out?

    Mac · 27/04/2016 at 19:16

Rumours are coming out of Brisbane that Keays may debut this week as well. Maybe he is a better option and pick Mathieson up when he's on the bubble.

    Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 19:46

Don't lock anyone in till they are on the bubble.

    SCaddict · 27/04/2016 at 20:30

The prudent thing would be to wait until he's on the bubble just like any other debutant. Beams is expected back next week so there will be competition for midfield spots at the Lions.

While there are never any guarantees Lee looks a reasonable option this week especially if you can park him on your bench.

Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 19:09

Not sure of a guy's job security that is playing vs a guy that hasn't played a game.

JAYZ · 27/04/2016 at 19:18

Is it too early too be making upgrades?
Plan on making my second upgrade next week And would be left with 22 trades after round 7…

Not sure if I'm getting carried away haha

    Sarah · 27/04/2016 at 19:32

Shows your in a good position if you can upgrade already. Go hard I say πŸ™‚

    Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 23:31

Never too early for upgrades, but make sure it's to guys that have a very good chance of playing all the games this year.

      50_Shades · 27/04/2016 at 23:58

Like Fyfe lol. Nothing like losing a trade on a premo long term injury… Why do thou SC Gods smite us?

James · 27/04/2016 at 19:20

Take out suckling and weitering and I can pick up a mid and a fwd after making a few changes. Just don't know who to get.

Who would you guys pick out of Parker, Hannebery, Ward, Priddis, or Selwood?

Who would guys also pick out of Dahlhaus and Zorko?

Tommo09 · 27/04/2016 at 19:21

Fyfe to Pendles
Dea to Docherty

Is Pendles risky after his time in the backline or should I go Hannebery???
Even is BenKen is dropped he will be a good help with loopholes so I'm holding him
Weitering I'm holding too

    Tommo09 · 27/04/2016 at 19:25

Sorry hadn't checked draw, forget my BenKen line
    I'm still holding him

Tommo09 · 27/04/2016 at 19:32

Also will Houli be considered in a few weeks when he is very cheap???
At around $475k will he be in many more teams???

    CoachDamo · 27/04/2016 at 22:40

I've been burnt by Houli before. Do you really want a guy who will score 50s and 60s as often as he scores 130?

      Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 23:30

No I don't want that guy. Unless he gets me the 130+ when I'm against a tough matchup on gameday. That can be the difference having players like that.

        50_Shades · 28/04/2016 at 00:00

Each week Yarran gets closer to playing, I wonder how it might impact Houli's usual role. I think I'd give him a miss because of consistency anyway…

Jess_coach · 27/04/2016 at 19:35

Any thoughts on my team?

Shaw, Docherty, Adams, Weitering, McDTip, Bryne-Jones, (Dea, Brown)

Dangerfield, Parker, Ablett, TMitchell, Pendlebury, Wines, Liberatore, Mills (Hewett, Davis, Gresham)

Goldstein, Gawn (Wyatt)

Hall, Merrett, D Martin, Wells, Kerridge, Mcarthy (Kennedy, Menadue)

Thinking of using a trade this week to go Dea to Lee, leaving me with around 300,000 in the warchest to upgrade Kennedy to a Def or Fwd (thinking zorko) next week.

    Johnny · 27/04/2016 at 19:48

I like it Jess, light in defence but wish I done the same. How many trades have you got left?

I reckon Zorko is a good pick but can probably get him cheaper at some point seems to be up and down through his career. I started with Dahlhaus but if if I didn't have him would definitely be trying to get him in

    Tophawk · 27/04/2016 at 20:10

That is a verysolid side Jess.

You nailed the Goldy-Gawn combo, got all the key rookies, and avoided the Fyfe crisis.

Your challenge in the short term could lie in your forward line. Merrett showed some real chinks in his armour last week, Kennedy could be omitted as Petracca is now a confirmed starter, Menadue is struggling to make more cash (And may also be dropped this week), and Dusty is down on form also.

So your planned move could be a good one. Cull Kennedy sooner rather than later with the arrival of Petracca with the aim to grab Zorko the magnificient to bolster your forward stocks.

That said, Dea could bounce back hard this week against the blues but at $303K it might be worth targeting him now to get you the cash to get Zorko or maybe even Dahlhaus?

    Good luck

    Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 20:28

Think you really have to wait for the teams to drop tomorrow (as we all do) to really know what to do here, there's a few options going on and you don't want any huge holes in your team.

If Hewett is dropped for example (not that I think he will be) it could be a dangerous situation going in with no mid bench cover, one late out and you have a donut.

Jess_coach · 27/04/2016 at 19:59

Yes I really feel its essential to have one or both of Zorko and Dahlhaus, although both should fall at some point – the question is when. It would probably be best to upgrade my backline, but im just trying to do everything possible to maximise points at the moment. 25 or 24 trades left, depending on whether i trade Dea. Also are quite high in the ranks, which is why I was looking for suggestions. Thanks Johnny ☺

    Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 20:07

As long as you are confident in Lee's job security, and hopefully you should get enough points from the 4 rookies back there for the time being.

Might want to lock in a premo back liner in a week or two though. Your forward line should score ok for a while anyway.

    Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 20:15

I'm actually thinking if Ben Ken/Menadue is dropped you trade one of them out and move AMT forward giving you solid bench cover in the forward line (menadue and Ben Ken could do anything at this point ie get dropped, come back……then maybe score ok….who knows)

Then you could get Tom Lee for cash generation, then if next week Dea is ready to cull straight to a premo defender to sure up the back line a bit.

If both Menadue and Ben Ken are dropped this week then you may need to do an extra trade but that should work out ok because it'll mean an upgrade somewhere too.

Dante · 27/04/2016 at 20:09

Sloane or Selwood for Wingard

    Koovie · 27/04/2016 at 20:35

    Sloane, great POD

    Holty · 27/04/2016 at 20:56

Selwood. He has proven in the past to be a ultra premium. Sloane never has.

    Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 20:24

Yep going to use Gawn / Davis for the loophole.

Not sure whether to use Danger or Gaz if it fails though. Probably Danger.

Bingo. Gawn VC and Danger or Parker captain.

or big goldy friday night against the doggies with a ruckman of who? No one

    @TheNoLanguage · 27/04/2016 at 20:59

Goldy Friday night will go large

    CoachDamo · 27/04/2016 at 22:38

Keep in mind Hickey hasn't been too bad in the ruck this year. Hickey's opponents so far:
    Lobbe – 82
    Roughead (WB) – 67
    Grundy – 96
    McEvoy – 81 & Ceglar – 70
    Mumford – 95

      Beady Eye · 28/04/2016 at 10:48

True, but there's only one premium ruckman in that lot. Certainly nothing the calibre of Gawn's beastliness this year.

Purple Rain · 27/04/2016 at 20:18

What's the general consensus of when we should have our 'Team Set' and how 'Trades' should we have left ? i'm thinking R15 / 16 and around 8 – 10 Trades ? – I'm sure there's plenty of theories of where we should be at the 'Post Bye' period anyway

needhelp · 27/04/2016 at 20:31

thoughts on orazio fantasia? looking at upgrading ben Kennedy and have $393,000. can get a forward or defender. Fantasia is a good stepping stone to the premiums, with plenty of money to make.

    FlameTNT · 27/04/2016 at 20:35

Get jed Anderson he comes back this week and his break even is -49

      Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 20:43

Don't do that, not very nice. His BE is 101. Got 15 points and got injured lol.

    SCaddict · 27/04/2016 at 20:42

He does seem to present value but there will always be nagging doubts when selecting Dons premos and midpricers.

Will the Dons armada sink at some point – like we saw an example with Zerrett and Zaka on the weekend? Geez I'm sure hoping not as I have both lads in my own team but there's an undeniable risk factor there that you need to accept when picking these guys.

Not sure I'd bring in Fantasia as a stepping stone as there's a good chance he'll make you less than $100K from here as you've already missed his two biggest price rises. A bubble boy rookie like Lee would probably be a better option for cash generation purposes. So if you select him you really need to be thinking keeper I reckon.

      Needhelp · 28/04/2016 at 08:00

      Kennedy to Lee perhaps then?

Jess_coach · 27/04/2016 at 20:35

Thanks southern. Im not sure of Lairds BE but im now thinking of grabbing him next week. I originally had JJ in the backline Johnny, but traded him via DPP for Mitchell last week in the hopes that a skimpy backline would hold up for a while. I also brought pendelbury in for fyfe this week. Lots to consider, thankyou

    Scott · 27/04/2016 at 20:47

Yeah I reckon boost up your backline with a premo if you can. Laird, Smith or Simpson

    Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 20:48

Laird is at 119 BE at the moment so will drop a bit.

I'm guilty of running a lean backline too, currently Shaw, Laird, Adams, Weiter, B1, B2 with bench of Hartley and potentially Tom Lee to replace Dea.

Will only be trading players who are dropped this week I reckon.

All BE's are attainable and after getting the Byrnes in last week not sure if I can risk another defender rookie.

james · 27/04/2016 at 20:40

nick riewoldt anyone he seems to be going pretty well, he scored 33 round one but that was when he had no idea about the new role but now he looks really good has toned up 3/4 games since that 33 and the score that wasnt a ton was 86 which he got in a half

thoughts on this potential POD

    CoachDamo · 27/04/2016 at 22:39

At his age, the issue is injuries. I can't see him playing every game for the year.

      Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 23:29

Agreed. Great player but getting on. Only played 17 games last year. Avoid.

Boltons blues · 27/04/2016 at 20:41

im trading Dea to boyd, seems worth it for me
then fyfe to Sloane

leaving my team as follows

Backs – Shaw//Laird//Boyd//Weitering//DBJ//Byrne (Brown//Ruggles)
Mids – Danger//Ablett//Sloane//Gray//Cripps//Shiel//Libba//Mills (Davis//B.Crouch//Dunkley)
Rucks – Goldy//Gawn (Grimley)
Forwards – Hall//Wells//Adams//Kerridge//BenKen//AMT (Menadue//Cox)

With 505k to play with, a double cull next week, 2 premos/fallen premos for 2 rookies i think need upgrading next week (at the moment, its BenKen and Menadue, hopefully they hold their spot this week of course)
Hopefully Petracca kills it, bring him in the week after for AMT then upgrade another spot will leave me in a good spot getting closer to the bye rounds

Cam · 27/04/2016 at 20:42

Thoughts on my team have 44k and 22 trades left

    like it.

    @TheNoLanguage · 27/04/2016 at 21:01

    Love it!

John · 27/04/2016 at 20:51

Guys should I get Hannebery, Parker, Ward, or Selwood in my midfield?

Also should I get Dahlhaus, Zorko or Barlow in the fwd line?

    SCaddict · 27/04/2016 at 21:00

I couldn't in all good conscience recommend Barlow and forget that his first month of footy never happened.

I'd personally want to see if he can back it up this week at the Crows Nest and not return to that old and slow Barlow who the game had supposedly gone past in the first 4 weeks, before I'd entertain trading him in.

Big ticks to everyone else on your list.

      John · 27/04/2016 at 21:19

Who would you pick out of those four midfield guns?

        SCaddict · 27/04/2016 at 21:27

There is no right answer imo. Everyone will have their preferences and arguments so just pick who you like best John.

I have Hanners and he's been awesome and I'm also looking at bringing in Parker this week who started the season even better. But that shouldn't really influence you much as I'd also love to have Ward and Jelwood in my side too.

    judd0 · 27/04/2016 at 21:05

They are 4 very good options my friend, go with your gut.

I like Dahlhaus the most out of those 3.

docca35 · 27/04/2016 at 20:59

What's everyone's thoughts on Fantasia in SuperCoach? I love him as a player but not sure? With a 20 breakeven I back him in to be a keeper at D6

    Mac · 27/04/2016 at 21:02

I asked the community about him pre season as a pod. Didn't select him as nobody seemed to think much of him. Looks good and has scored very well. Wish I selected him when he was about 200k. Seems like a good pick to me.

    breakevens · 27/04/2016 at 21:07

    What's his price

      SCaddict · 27/04/2016 at 21:11

      $370K having already appreciated $88K.

        magpie4ver · 27/04/2016 at 21:55

Think its to late to bring him in now? May have missed the boat. He was on my radar as well in the beginning of the season as well but I didn't pull the trigger……wish I would have.

          SCaddict · 27/04/2016 at 22:05

I still think he presents value but he's not for me as I'm already rolling the dice on a couple of his mates in Zerrett and Zaka.

I only plan on targeting elite defenders from here like the Shaws and McVeighs but the way Fantasia is playing right now it's hard to assert he'd be a bad pick. He's certainly done nothing wrong in his first 4 games of the season.

Nicholas · 27/04/2016 at 21:08

just a follow up from my team above is weitering or dea more likely to lose cash. And how much do we think shaw will drop. I want Parker as one of the mids i bring in this week still unsure of the other. If parker isnt the best option due to how close I am to not affording the shaw trade next week please let me know

    SCaddict · 27/04/2016 at 21:19

No if anything they'll probably make a little more cash as both have gettable BEs. But whether you cull them this week or next it probably won't make a massive difference cash wise. Both may get you another $50K if you can hold them for maybe another month but there are no certainties there of course.

Shaw will probably drop a little more but the hopes of getting him sub $500K look dashed now as he's finally found some Supercoach form in the past 3 weeks. I'm prioritising Parker this week and then looking at Heater as my next premo target after that.

      Nicholas · 27/04/2016 at 21:46

What would you recommend me to trade this week apart from fyfe to parker?

    Northernsoul74 · 27/04/2016 at 21:26

    The Mountian · 28/04/2016 at 12:15

    Neither

tom · 27/04/2016 at 21:24

Thoughts on trades? 104,800 in the bank

Shaw, Laird, Rich, Weitering, Adams, Dea, DBJ, Brown
Fyfe, Danger, Ablett, Pendles, Gray, Libba, Mills, Kerridge, Menadue, Hewett, Davis
Goldstein, Martin, Wyatt
Hall, Barlow, De Goey, Wells, Kennedy, McCarthy, Petracca, Tippa

    SupercoachTrent · 28/04/2016 at 09:30

Nice kitty in the bank. I like how you've kept your hold on rich (I assume) but not sure if you should keep him. Definitely look to offload fyfe (obviously) and maybe dea. Other than that, teams looks ok. It's a run of the mill team with a few differences but If I'm honest I don't like the inclusion of de goey. His ton this week was purely due to stage and finally turning up. Your team cannot be all that highly ranked; it is cookie cutter.

      Southern S · 28/04/2016 at 12:44

Well at least De Goey has gone up 46k and now has a BE of 44. He's a decent stepping stone and could increase his output as the year goes by. Not sure what you have against him honestly.

Shake n bake · 27/04/2016 at 21:33

I've been thinking this all week I have 27 trades left, l really think Ablett is not right I'm waiting for the day he doesn't finish a game l certainly won't risk him with the C on him. I'm I crazy to think of a sideways trade!! Or just wait a see if he comes good.

    magpie4ver · 27/04/2016 at 21:43

I think I would wait til or if he gets hurt. I wouldn't trade him.Hold

    Boltons blues · 27/04/2016 at 21:45

He is the king for no reason, you think he's hurt, then bang 150 points

      magpie4ver · 27/04/2016 at 21:51

      Yup

    SCaddict · 27/04/2016 at 21:57

I think we just have to hold and hope for the best. The little champ i still tonning up for us every single week even though we can all see he's far from 100%. If he does break down then we'll probably have to trade him out but whilst he's still tonning up there's plenty of other productive things I could be doing with my trades.

If that's your main worry Shake n Bake then I'd like to swap teams with you. πŸ™‚

      magpie4ver · 27/04/2016 at 22:00

Agree SCA …..bigger fish to fry than worry about Ab's and he really isn't a worry at the moment just a little banged up but he's a trooper and do what ever he can do to be on the field.

    poloko48 · 27/04/2016 at 22:12

Crazy talk – currently #3 ranked midfielder YTD for pts scored.

Panda · 27/04/2016 at 21:46

Thoughts on my team. I have 23 trades left, 139k with 1 trade left this week. Ranked in the 400's at the moment

Def – Shaw, Adams, Gibson, Weitering, Dea, DBJ (Hartley, Ruggles)
Mid – Danger, Parker, Ablett, Zaharakis, Trelour, Priddis, Parish (Mills, Menadue, Davis)
Ruck – Goldstein, Gawn (Cox)
Fwd – Hall, Z Merrett, Wells, S Johnson, Kerridge, MC Tippa (Kennedy, M Brown)

@TheNoLanguage · 27/04/2016 at 21:58

Thoughts on a fence paint this week guys, down from Dea to Lee and up from BenKen to Buddy?
He hasn't set the world on fire the big man but at under 500 and with a soft draw coming up for the Swans he just might pump out some big scores. Thoughts?

olly · 27/04/2016 at 21:59

can afford to get any 2 defenders so which 2 should i get out of: Already have Houli and Laird

Shaw
McVeigh
Gibson
Enright
Docherty
Simpson
Boyd

    poloko48 · 27/04/2016 at 22:15

If you can hold off for 2 weeks consider Rance – #1 ranked def scorer YTD.

    SCaddict · 27/04/2016 at 22:27

I'd choose Heater and then either Simmo or Boyd. McVeigh can wait until he bottoms out in price which won't happen until he finds some elite form first.

      50_Shades · 28/04/2016 at 00:02

Agree with the wait for Rance, but heater and Simpson are equally good choices right now.

        Jess_coach · 28/04/2016 at 00:56

Shaw and Rance. Although Docherty has been scoring impressively, and showed alot of skill in a tough match last week by scoring 62 points in the second half after having some small face injury and starting slow.

poloko48 · 27/04/2016 at 22:04

For a bit of perspective (and dreaming!) here's the top SC team based on total points so far:

DEF: Rance, Simpson, Docherty, Heater, Laird, Pittard (Biggs, Adams)
MID: Danger, Parker, GAJ, SMitch, Hanners, Zaha, Ward, Jelwood (Ziebell, Titch)
RUC: Goldy, Gawn (NicNat)
FWD: Waite, Hall, Dahl, Montagna, TLynch, ZMerrett (JJK, Betts)

A few surprises here in Biggs, Ziebell, Titch, TLynch, JJK & Betts all being up there in their respective positions.

Let's dream a little here – this team would've scored 2,442 last week with Big Gawny as 'C'.
This would've been the 5th highest score of the round.

Out of these who stays and who goes come end of year?

    poloko48 · 27/04/2016 at 22:10

And with that comes the average score per round range per position:

    DEF: 105.4 – 93.2
    MID: 128.2 – 110.4
    RUC: 127.8 – 112.4
    FWD: 130.2 – 101.8

    Iamme · 27/04/2016 at 23:55

Ziebal has been good this year. I had him I think 2 years ago…but burnt me big time. strange to see Carlton have 2 of the top three defenders also….I think it will be very interesting to compare this line- up at the halfway point of the season.

    the armchair critic · 28/04/2016 at 00:28

Wow very interesting! Assume total points.
I think Pittard loses out to Gibbo with Houli and Yeo coming hard
Smitch drops off, Zaha drops off, GAJ misses a few leaving Priddis, Pendles and Ward to take over!!
    Rucks are done!
Zorko gets up in the fwds and martin fights back in place of lynch and monty

magpie4ver · 27/04/2016 at 22:06

Shaw and Simpson. Shaw probably wont go lower than this?

@TheNoLanguage · 27/04/2016 at 22:10

Thoughts on a fence paint this week guys, down from Dea to Lee and up from BenKen to Buddy?

    poloko48 · 27/04/2016 at 22:13

Depends – is Buddy a season keeper for you?

      @TheNoLanguage · 27/04/2016 at 22:31

Not 100% sure but I know a lot of people don't see him as such which means the POD card comes into play. Considering Matty Wright too the way he's going

        Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 23:27

I'd take Buddy over Wright, Sydney will be feeding him plenty of chances up forward, and Wright could slump quite easily from what I've seen of him as a crows fan.

poloko48 · 27/04/2016 at 22:23

Thoughts on my team this week folks? Have done injury trade and upgrade trade this week – Fyfe to Gawn & BenKen to Jelwood.
Now have 23 trades left & $261K in the bank:

DEF: Heater, Laird, Adams (FWD), Weitering, DBJ, Wagner (Hartley, Ruggles)
MID: Hanners, Ward, Jelwood, Libba, Wines, Kerridge (FWD), Priddis, Mills (Oliver, Davis, Keays)
RUC: Goldy, Gawn (MKing (FWD))
FWD: Hall (MID), Wells (MID), Buddy, Barlow (MID), Tippett (RUC), AMT (DEF) (MBrown (DEF), DRioli)

Aiming to get Rance in a couple of weeks – think he'll have a point to prove and is currently the #1 ranked def for pts scored YTD.

    poloko48 · 27/04/2016 at 22:24

Oh, and I'm currently ranked in the 40-50K range, slow start but with my POD's hoping to come home with a blast!

charlie · 27/04/2016 at 22:23

who do i trade in for suckling

    SCaddict · 27/04/2016 at 22:36

I wouldn't go another midpricer such as Fantasia so would either upgrade him to someone like Heater, Boyd or Simpson or downgrade him to Lee if you don't have the cash to bring in a top defensive premo.

      Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 23:36

Exactly. No clear candidates for mid pricers set to rise. Any could flounder like a fish out of water in coming weeks.

        50_Shades · 27/04/2016 at 23:55

Nothing is certain in this game, JJ, rance suspension etc… Upgrade to a premo if you can, otherwise I'd also consider Lee, DBJ or someone of that ilk where the spare cash can help you upgrade another line.

Westendblues · 27/04/2016 at 22:51

Danger or pendles for Fyfe?

Pendles more economic, danger more potential?

    Cashcows · 27/04/2016 at 23:15

Danger. Besides last week, Pendles hasn't looked right with the ribs and all.

Some say he's over it and back in the middle but could always hold off for a week and see if it's true or whether it was just him turning it on for anzac day.

    Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 23:20

Danger is a big lock this year, simple as that. Personally I think he'll be the top supercoach scorer for 2016.

Cashcows · 27/04/2016 at 23:09

Think I'll hold Dea and BenKen this week. More going for them to get over the line, than not.
Both should still hold their spot but if they dont, well panic stations.
Not a fan of Lee. Keays hasn't played a game yet but I'd go him instead if you can DPP it. Already got Petracca.

Fingers crossed for davis and dunkley named.

    SCaddict · 27/04/2016 at 23:28

Davis should be back as he was rested and GC have a couple of fresh injuries this week as well. I'm actually hoping either he or Menacrap don't play so that I can loop BenKen this weekend.

    Southern S · 27/04/2016 at 23:35

I may not be able to do a captain's loophole this week if Davis is named. Been using Max King from melbourne with their abundance of sunday games.

Oh well been making a lot of profit with everyone playing should make a big difference come finals.

Brad · 28/04/2016 at 00:12

Jack Viney or Patrick Cripps need your help community

    Matt · 28/04/2016 at 11:14

    Ive got Viney

sharmanism · 28/04/2016 at 00:39

What are people's thoughts on Peter Wright's job security? He was very good against the roos on Saturday.

I'm trading out Fyfe for Hannebury and seriously considering cashing in Dea for Wright. Will look to bring Petracca in next week.

    SCaddict · 28/04/2016 at 01:11

I'd actually go Petracca first and have another look at Wright at the Cattery. Petracca could prove pretty useful onfield against the Saints this weekend. He'd be the one I'd go early on between those two.

If '2m Peter' crashes and burns this weekend we may view him a little differently next week and that 142 may glisten less brightly than it does right now. If he does perform ok, well at least you've done your due diligence and can trade him in next week with greater confidence as he plays his third game.

I assume you're not interested in bubble boy Lee who will be a popular downgrade this round??

    Danners · 28/04/2016 at 11:59

Patience, wait a week on Wright, could become the next line of missing men from Gold Coast like Glenn and Dixon

    Southern S · 28/04/2016 at 12:07

    Wait on both.

Parker, Hanners, Pendles or Pridda in for Fyfe boys?

    breakevens · 28/04/2016 at 08:45

    Pridda for me

    Boom, Crash, Opera · 28/04/2016 at 09:23

If you don't have any of those then preferences would be in this order:

    Hanners
    Priddis
    Parker
    Pendles

If you have at least one Sydney cover premo in the midfield then I would go Priddis. Parker is at his ceiling, Priddis and Hanners have marginally better upside. Pendles is not the player he was, one good game against the eventual wooden spooners, i would tread wearily.

      Aurion · 28/04/2016 at 11:40

Appreciate the advice. I was leaning towards hanners too

      Southern S · 28/04/2016 at 11:53

If Parker keeps averaging 125 then he's not at his ceiling.

If he keeps that kind of scoring up expect him to be around 700k by the end of the year. Not saying he will though.

        Derek · 28/04/2016 at 12:31

Parker is playing at the very top of his game…..there is only one way to go from there.

his disposal numbers have started to drop off, last week his SC was saved because he had 2:1 kick to handball. Parker very rarely has more kicks than handballs.

Plus i hate paying more for a keeper than his starting price

          Southern S · 28/04/2016 at 12:53

The flipside to those points are that he's under priced for his average anyway, so he can afford to slip a bit at 580k.

    Southern S · 28/04/2016 at 11:56

Parker, Hanne, Pendle, Priddis for me.

Priddis is reliable but over rated in scoring potential.

Even last year where Pendles average dropped to 116.2 it was still more than Priddis has ever managed in his whole career.

The sydney boys are on fire, hard to deny their form lock em in.

    Derek · 28/04/2016 at 12:26

i have always been a massive JPK fan, can't believe that he is only in 3% of teams.

I'll also be looking at Mcveigh in defense later. i think two swans is enough.

Out of those 4, I would rank them:

    Pendles, Priddis, hanners, Parker

jim · 28/04/2016 at 07:55

Are these stupid trades fyfe to sidebottom and then libba to viney so that i have a full premo midfield.

    Kev · 28/04/2016 at 08:31

Sidey and Viney aren't top 10 mids imo

    Boom, Crash, Opera · 28/04/2016 at 09:26

Fyfe to anyone averaging over 120 is fine. Libba for Viney I would only do if you have an entire team of premos already.

      Dee · 28/04/2016 at 09:47

      keep Libba….

    Danners · 28/04/2016 at 11:58

I would rather have Libba in my final team over Viney

Higgo's Dog · 28/04/2016 at 08:44

    Liam · 28/04/2016 at 09:26

    Steeeve · 28/04/2016 at 09:49

    Back the Trac

      Derek · 28/04/2016 at 12:22

if you believe the hype, Petrraca should be C this week

        Southern S · 28/04/2016 at 12:45

        Ba ha ha love it.

Fyfe for Petracca and chuck the captain on him. No need for a loophole either!

Boom, Crash, Opera · 28/04/2016 at 09:30

Why would you trade in a first year player coming off a long term injury this week and then start him on the ground?

    JamiesNinjas13 · 28/04/2016 at 11:50

Very true Boom, don't get me wrong the Trac is a young football beast but AFL level is completely different to VFL, NFL, NBA. For a young player with 0 games experience coming off an ACL, his first AFL game may just overwhelm him especially with the pressure of the Saints. Hope he proves me wrong though!

    Southern S · 28/04/2016 at 11:50

Because people jump on the hype train.

30% of teams own him and he hasn't played a game, that will probably rise to 40% maybe more this week. It's ridiculous.

Ryan · 28/04/2016 at 09:37

Who to play on field out of mccarthy, kennedy, papley or menadue? Can choose two out of those options.

    SCaddict · 28/04/2016 at 10:57

I'd be tempted to field McCarthy and Smear given who their opponents are this weekend. Small forwards can often cash in on vulnerable or weakish opposition.

I'm hoping to loop BenKen in case he finally remembers how to play footy but insulating myself if he spuds it again. But for that I'd either need Davis to miss again or for Menacrap to get dropped.

Dee · 28/04/2016 at 09:46

McCarthy for me….

Banksie700 · 28/04/2016 at 10:00

Boys what are your thoughts on lachie neale? I like the look of him

    Kev · 28/04/2016 at 10:22

Haven't seen his name come up as a potential replacement for Fyfe. Scored 110 (38 touches), 123 (36), 118 (34), and 87 (vest in 3rd) in Fyfe-less games last season

      Banksie700 · 28/04/2016 at 11:27

yeah exactly i reckon he will have to perform without fyfe and mundy in

        Southern S · 28/04/2016 at 11:49

He pretty much always performs just flies under the radar a bit.

          Banksie700 · 28/04/2016 at 11:51

          very good POD i think

            Southern S · 28/04/2016 at 12:05

I think it was last year I had him, was about 400k and was tipped to breakout, did he ever.

170 in round 3 was huge. Backed it up with a 145,133 and 141 in rounds 5,6 and 8.

has a big ceiling and has been consistent this year, probably due for a big one soon although no sandy might limit him a little.

Solid pick and at 23 years old in his 4th season should be reliable.

    Danners · 28/04/2016 at 11:57

If you need a POD, could benefit with Fyfe out

Option 2 – Dea to Lee

Kade Simpson or Matt Boyd in for Matt Suckling this week?

    SCaddict · 28/04/2016 at 11:04

I think either look good to me. Tooth length is the only concern but frankly they keep getting it done every season. To get Boyd in under $500K is pretty nice and I started with Simmo so am obviously a believer.

Beams i think might be another week away, will find out tonight.

I this maitherson is very close as well. Got through a game in the seconds last week. Keays will have to take his chances and play well to hold his place.

Derek · 28/04/2016 at 11:39

Petracca & Keays both getting a game this week.

Henry · 28/04/2016 at 11:59

Am trading fyfe and Winged out this week, should i go:
-S.Mitchell and Pendles 70k in the bank
-S.Mitchell and Wright 238k in the bank
Cheers

    Boltons Blues · 28/04/2016 at 12:59

Id stay away from Wright for atleast another week, wont find it easy at the Cattery this week

azza · 28/04/2016 at 12:06

guys docherty or kade simpson?
its doing my head in haha

    Derek · 28/04/2016 at 12:17

I can't split them, maybe Docherty, however.

i think you are paying full price for both, no bargins. Is there anyone else you had your eye on who has dropped in price, IE SHaw?

      azza · 28/04/2016 at 14:04

already have shaw and laird. not keen on houli atm

Steve · 28/04/2016 at 12:06

Sam Docherty or Kade Simpson, for an upgrade?

    Southern S · 28/04/2016 at 12:15

    Flip Coin.

      Derek · 28/04/2016 at 12:37

Simpson's average is higher. 100.8 compared to 100.2.

      easy choice!

    Derek · 28/04/2016 at 12:16

I can't split them, maybe Simpson because he does get into the guts a bit. however.

i think you are paying full price for both, no bargins. Is there anyone else you had your eye on who has dropped in price, IE SHaw?

      Steve · 28/04/2016 at 12:31

i already have shaw, laird and b.smith. I am upgrading Dea and i think Docherty and Dea are both good options and will average around 95, but just not sure which one is the better option?

        Steve · 28/04/2016 at 12:32

        sorry simpson* not Dea

          Derek · 28/04/2016 at 12:36

          maybe you should get BOTH.

Get Simpson now, he has a lower BE, and next defence upgrade can be Docherty.

            Steve · 28/04/2016 at 12:40

yeah will do that, cheers mate

mark · 28/04/2016 at 12:09

Who is the better option community neale or Sloane

    Southern S · 28/04/2016 at 12:15

Tough one. I'd be inclined to pick sloane because the crows are going well but neale is a ball magnet.

      mark · 28/04/2016 at 12:24

I agree. But with crouch coming back do you think it will affect sloanes output

Danners · 28/04/2016 at 12:12

Community, I will be axing Menadue and B.Kennedy this week to Lee (via DPP) and a premo fwd but I'm not sure who. I like the look of Dahlhaus but not sure whether he is a bit too pricey. Can afford any forward other than Deledio.
Thoughts?

    Southern S · 28/04/2016 at 12:16

    Zorko, Toby Greene?

    Kev · 28/04/2016 at 12:38

With Trac and Keays coming through a double downgrade looks on the cards for those blokes in two weeks. I'm gonna squeeze every last penny out of them

      Southern S · 28/04/2016 at 12:47

Agreed, I'm going to trade on need not want, as in if someone gets dropped.

      Boltons Blues · 28/04/2016 at 13:01

agreed, if Menacrap and BenKen can hold their spot for atleast 1 maybe 2 weeks, double downgrade is on the cards

Southern S · 28/04/2016 at 12:14

Neither for me sorry Henry just don't like your taste πŸ™‚

Pom · 28/04/2016 at 12:23

Currently gone Fyfe to C. Ward and Dea to Heath Shaw.
Leaves me with 70k in bank. Could go Dea to T. Lee but with the plethora of mid rookies coming up I think they will make more coin and gives more time for current rookies to fatten up.
Also gives me another premium with a round 15 bye week.
Solid logic?

    Southern S · 28/04/2016 at 12:48

    Looks solid to me.

Michael · 28/04/2016 at 12:25

whose the better defender to get for dea, simpson docherty or boyd

    Kev · 28/04/2016 at 12:36

Tough one. Boyd almost last man standing at the dogs. I'd go Simpson just ahead of Boyd

      I N Pieman · 28/04/2016 at 13:02

Agree with Kev. Simpson just keeps producing

Kevdog · 28/04/2016 at 12:26

Fyfe to Pendles or Joel Selwood ?

    Kev · 28/04/2016 at 12:33

Both good choices. Selwood for mine

    Southern S · 28/04/2016 at 12:51

Yep hard to split them, like Pendlebury due to last year's average being 10 points higher than Selwood's.

But then again Geelong going well and Selwood looks in good form. Collingwood struggling may impact Pendles a bit.

    I N Pieman · 28/04/2016 at 13:01

Almost impossible to split. I'd pick the one that suits your byes better

Tom McV · 28/04/2016 at 12:40

I can trade in any forward I want for BenKen, I'm thinking Zorko, Dahlhaus or smokey pick Tom J. Lynch

Derek · 28/04/2016 at 13:24

have you thought about Rioli or Buddy

John · 28/04/2016 at 16:43

Should I trade out Weitering (BE 79) and Suckling or Matt Crouch (BE 75) and suckling?

Harry · 28/04/2016 at 16:51

COMMUNITY! trading out weitering for a PREMO Defender. Already have Laird Simpson and can't afford shaw.

Should i trade in Pittard or M.Boyd?

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 28/04/2016 at 17:00

Wouldn't jump on Boyd dogs game style too fast for him. Only went big last week as playing lions was poor b4 that.

TRIGGER HAPPY · 28/04/2016 at 17:01

Weita should get his b/e playing the dons.

Ron · 28/04/2016 at 18:38

Wow, I need some advice this week. $127k left. Fyfe & Gray out. What's the best trade(s) this week.

DEF: Shaw, Rich, Seedsman, Byrne-Jones, Weitering, Adams / Dea, Brown
MID: Ablett, Danger, Fyfe, R Gray, Libba, Kerridge, Priddis, Mills / Hewett, Oliver, Davis
RUC: Gawn, Nat
FWD: D Martin, Wells, Barlow, A Hall, B Kennedy, Tippa / L McCarthy, Menadue

Blues_16 · 28/04/2016 at 18:57

NOOOO…. Just saw Robbie Gray injured. Anyone know how long?

    magpie4ver · 28/04/2016 at 19:19

    Sounds like 2-3 weeks?

      Blues_16 · 28/04/2016 at 19:21

      Cheers, πŸ™

Josh · 28/04/2016 at 20:00

Interesting to see lee has lost his spot after two fairly solid performances for a rookie, oh well least it means I don't have to trade him in this week. Not great signs for future job security..,

Jed · 28/04/2016 at 20:51

Should I get Jack Viney in this ?

    Harry · 29/04/2016 at 00:10

I thought hard about him but in the end you go with class and the extra 80k for Pendles is worth it. Now he's back in midfield, he won't be this cheap again barring injury

thembomb · 28/04/2016 at 21:30

what do you guys think about marc murphy at 440k? will lose value this week but might just on him next week with upgrading parish to him
