Confirmed Suckling out for at least 4 weeks.
Thinking I'll hold this week. I have no Fyfe and no real urgency to trade out Dea, BenKen or Menadue. Even if they're done fattening I'd rather wait until bubble boys arrive. Also, Dusty and Robbie Gray looking even tastier after another week or two of price drops.
Thoughts?
Right move. Hold unless you need to get rid of Fyfe.
been playing around with some potential trades, and would like some thoughts
Defence:
Laird, Adams, Houli, Weitering, Dea, DBJ (Byrne, Ruggles)
Midfield:
Dangerfield, Ablett, Hannebery, Priddis, RGray, Taylor Adams, Shiel, Parish (Hewett, Davis, Gresham)
Ruck:
Gawn, Nic Nat (Lorensch – for loophole)
Forward:
Hall, Wells, Kerridge, De Goey, Benken, AMT (Menadue, Petraca)
I have 518k in the bank and the trades I was thinking of were
Dea ——> Buddy
BenKen—–> Zorko
i feel like both of these rookies need to go and bringing in the two above will mean my Fwd line will be strong but my only concern is having 4 onfield rookies in the backline, so my question community is it better to trade Dea to a Fwd premo or Defence Premo
finally thanks community for all the advice, im sitting at 10,000 so not panic stations yet
I like them trades James, but keep in mind you're buying those players at peak price. Dusty and Wingard will be good trades in the coming weeks.
what are people doing with M.Brown? Have the money to upgrade to fantasia but might just hold?
I'd hold. BE of 11 no need to use a trade he isnt going to go down in value for a bit
He's a slow burner providing bench coverage. Hopefully he gets up to $250 then time to sell
If you were going to upgrade I wouldn't do it to Fantasia. Either drop him to a bubble rookie or upgrade him to a season long keeper.
just hold him for now
will help to know how your bank is sitting right now, but without knowing
Fyfe >> Parker
Should i go martin to gawn or suckling to a premo?
Gotta move suckling pig – out for a minimum of four weeks
I did Suckling up to Gray two weeks ago…..might be a better move now?
anyone else having a shit season? Have been top 1-3% last 3 years but im ranked at almost 40,000 now. Started with a pretty stock-standard team, not too many PODs but obviously im no jock reynolds
These podcasts only thing keeping me from rage quitting at the moment
Finished600 lastyear and im 26,000 atm
Finished top 100 last year and in top 600 the two years before. Currently at 22000 this year with nothing seeming to work. Even upgrades are costing me points. Long season though and things will turn around.
Exact same boat as you mate top 1% three years running and this year sitting at 23000
I wouldn't throw in the towel just yet. If you can stabilise your side with some sound strategic trades, you can rise up the rankings very quickly. Your next goal should be to get through the byes with flying colours. Many coaches fall over during the bye rounds. Perhaps you need to be super focused to start trading in players with the byes well and truely in mind right now. When other coaches are scrambling during these 3 rounds, you can make up some nice ground during that time. Anything can happen after that.
Cheers
Don't worry Tret, your results speak for itself. As the season unfolds, the cream will rise to the top.Its only R5 therefore alot of people (experienced and rookies) still have the same teams.
do I go crouch to tracca if tracca is named this weekend? to make cash for weitering and kennedy upgrades next rd
No. Wait until he is on the bubble, then trade him in. Anything can happen, if he gets injured or suspended in his first 2 games, you won't be happy. Even though he is a much better player than Ruggles, everyone who jumped on him after 1 game wouldn't be to happy with him.
Depends if crouch named… but plenty of other cows to send to the butcher regardless
Assuming that is b crouch
No you've held crouch this long you hold, BE of 24 due for his first price rise.
hi community, thoughts on dea-boyd? I know he's old but he still aveaged 103 last year. He's a good price at 490k and i think he can average 90-100 for the season. What do you think?
Depends how superstitious you are, going by Doggies luck with backman atm he's only a week away from snapping his leg in half and missing the rest of the year
I am also looking at Boyd. Simpson and Docherty are also on my list
Not looking at any defenders just yet, my focus is on full premo mids and fwds first.
A lot of the predicted top defenders are up and down (Houli/Shaw/Gibson), in and out (Rance/JJ/Gibson)
The only people who have been solid is Laird, Simpson and Docherty it seems.
I like the idea of using the rookies back there to their full extent and getting the midfield premos and to a lesser extent the forward line sorted. Backline last.
Community, you thoughts on the following possible Fyfe-replacements please, (these are pod midfielders)
– Dan Hannerbery
– Steele Sidebottom
– Sam Mitchell
– Rory Sloane
– Joel Selwood
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance
Selwood, sloane, hannerbery, sidebottom then mitchell. IMO
Selwood and Hannebery YES
Everyone else on that list NO
Hannebery or Selwood. Sloane possibly. Not Mitchell or Sidebum.
Hanners, Sidebottom, Selwood, in order for me.
Weird round just gone, plenty of decent scores but a few blokes including myself got shafted through an unlucky combination of every who decided to spud it up (looking at you Gray, Fyfe, BenKen etc.)
Is kade simpson a top 6 defender or thereabouts? If so this is the week to get him. Will he average more than docherty? Looking at getting shaw in next week too if he scores above 95.
I like Docherty more than Simpson, but both would be close to a top 6 defender. 95 ish average most likely for both players.
Maybe not top 6 but points diff between him and 6th will be negligible
Simpson will be top 6. Has been a consistent performer over the past few years. Taken more responsibility this year.
Simpson will be more consistent than Docherty, and average slightly more.
Suckling to PREMO mate. No point trading Martin
Simpson or laird for dea
Laird IMO
Simpson or dockerty for dea
Crystal ball job there, go with your gut.
Flip a coin
Community. I have 524k for any premium for any position except the rucks
What moves are you thinking mate?
I've used up about 5 trades so far this season, I'm going Fyfe to Pendlebury, is it worth trading Dea to Parker (through DPP) or should I conserve my trades?
Definitely! If you can upgrade a rookie to a keeper you should do it in a heartbeat. Maybe not Parker, but getting any elite mid for Dea would be a huge win.
If you have DBJ to move off the bench go for it mate. Parkers a great choice, will end up in the top 10 mids given he gets through the season without injuries, which is why I started with him along with selwood. Just make sure u got someone to cover for dea without sacrificing points on field.
SGray projected to lose another 23k on top of the 91k he's already bled. I can't even say it's been a rollercoaster owning you buddy, more like a giant drop. Will go down as one of my greatest stain in the underpants pick.
Fyfe to Selwood
Gray to Hall
I'm hearing you Kev, too late to trade now. We just have to sit it out until we can use him as bench cover for the forward/midfield. Can't wait to bench him, definitely one of the worst picks of the season.
I convinced myself of that last week, Keithy! That he couldn't get any worse, surely not, then he comes out with an effort like that (which I'm not sure you can even call effort).
The only reason I don't like the trade is because it will empty the cash I have, cash I was hoping to use come upgrade time.
I chop the bastard Keithy, he is not going to do anything this year and is only going to bleed more cash, Get out now whilst you can get $400k from him and get a more reliable option
I traded the mega spud 2 weeks ago for Zorko The Magnificent and have been duly rewarded and never happier! S Gray is season 2016's "Burn Man".
The spud should change his name from Sam to Cliff.
He Shit, Kev. I should have turfed him last week, cost me a win in my money league
You have to listen to the podcasts mate.
Crouching one's little Grayling story summed it up last week.
There is only one Gray worth having. (and even he is spudding it up at the moment)
Getting my shark on this week lads. Fyfe to Lyons and Callum (The #%^$#%^ Spud) Sinclair to petracca. will have 1.2 mill in bank
Im a big fan of Lyons, however i dont think he will keep the 90ave coming. especially since last year he averaged 44 over 12 games. more likely to average 65-80 this year
If i get 80 avg out of the Lyon King ill be happy, any more and thats just gravy.
His low games were all sub affected Matt, he wore 8 of them last year.
And fairly sure he came into the game wearing the vest, not the other way round, so his scoring is actually good for time on ground.
Not saying trade him in for 300k though, High risk move looked better when i picked him up for 240k.
I wouldnt trade in Petracca this week if your gunna have 1.2 mill in the bank. Have a look at him first. Get yourself a Zorko or a Dahlhouse if you have that sort of money.
Interesting to have no mention of the zack smith dilemma or thoughts on weiterings 79 B/E. I think I'll hold weitering but zack smith is a real concern, should we hold or trade?
I have $589k and 27 trades remaining, what ruckman would be worth looking at other than Naitanui if I were to trade smith? Goldy and Gawn are too expensive at the moment for my liking.
Also thoughts on Ben ken to Brodie smith via dpp? I reckon there's a bit of value in that trade or would Tom lee be a smarter move?
620k for 2 games above 150 is to much? not for me
Gawn or Goldy are must haves
I would put Gawn straight in, then sit back and enjoy the massive points each week.
I dumped Z Smith for Blicavs 2 weeks ago and he stunk it up with a 50 odd first fame but came back strongly this week with 115. I had him last year and he will avg over 100 for season and is durable. Also have Max Gawn who is SC Gold!
I'll be holding Weitering, Dea and Adams for as long as they can keep their scoring up, regardless of whether their prices plateau. Collectively they've been reliable for an 80 average which is enough to keep my defence ticking over while I focus on upgrading the other lines.
The only rucks worth having this year are Goldy, Gawn and Nic Nat – maybe Blicavs for a POD but not worth it IMO. I'd still favour Goldy over Gawn just because of his consistency the last few years.
Ben Ken to B Smith? All depends on if you think Smith is a defensive keeper, otherwise Tom Lee is the obvious downgrade target for this round. Personally I'm looking at Kennedy as a means to getting Zorko/Dahlhaus/Selwood type upgrade rather than upgrading anything in defence.
Community I would love your thoughts on who will be the top 6 defenders by year end.
Shaw… Laird… Simpson..?
I'm thinking; Shaw, Laird, McVeigh, Bartel, Rance, Dawson
Dawson #1 defender this year imo
I'm thinking he will slot straight into the guts to fill Fyfes role
Maybe brownlow on the cards for dawson?
Like the bartel pick for top 6 defender too Derek he has the potential of course, but maybe not the role at Geelong anymore to pull off the big scores..
I can't tell if this is tongue in cheek or not? I'm oblivious to this, can you explain why?
Dawson is statistically the worst player in fantasy football, I'm honestly not sure if he's got a score over 100 in his career 🙂
Shaw, Laird, Docherty, Kolodjashnij, Houli, Boyd
Closely followed by Rance, Smith, Simpson, McVeigh
Dawson, Dawson, Dawson, Dawson, Dawson, Dawson
Who should i get in for the big nat fyfe. i have already got pendles, danger, tom mitchel.
Anyone jumping on Priddis? High BE but always has a slow start to season before banging out some big scores. Could be a bit of a POD
Saving for him after the bye
waiting for the drop off in price, BenKen to priddis would be sweet in 1-2 weeks time
Best mid under 595k I've got gaz danger Selwood Shiel Liba mills and Parker or do you think there is better value else where. I'm thinking Pendlebury right now
Look at Cripps from Carlton, 3 very very winnable games coming up for Carlton, could do some damage, in 10% of teams
Pendles. Lock.
Just a wot if question.
If Petracca plays next week who would you put on the field Pretracca playing St. Kilda, or Papley playing Bris.
Papley makes me nervous and yet to see Petracca in AFL game (but killing it in VFL) ?
Any thoughts community
flip of the coin really, the hype around Petracca is massive, so id go with him,
Managed to come first down at Cardina Hotel (Anzac day game), I think I got up at about 30th overall, so not too bad of a game.
Surely you go danger before parker right?
100%
Danger 145 BE upcoming GCS (SS) WCE (SS) ADEL (AO) COLL (MCG)
I think Danger is more likely to go down in value.
Parker 120 BE upcoming BRIS (G) ESS (SCG) RICH (MCG) HAWKS (MCG)
But who knows, and you need both ideally so take your pick.
Does Ben Ken and Dea have to go this week ?
No
Dea and then Benken, if you have fyfe, id go Fyfe and Dea trade
community, whose the best option for matt dea, simpson ,docherty or laird
I had laird so i went simpson
Laird.
Is it to late to trade in DBJ.
Yes
Yep it's too late. Remember anyone can turn into a spud at anytime, welcome to supercoach 2016!
Most of us paid 200000 for wieterboi expecting an average of 80 odd dont see why dbj is any different

THANK YOU, UPVOTE IF YOU WANT THIS EVERY AFL PODCAST DAY
One bad game by Dea I reckon we should hold him for a couple more weeks, is playing my blues this week so should score ok.
61, 87, 95, 73 and 41 in a huuuge blowout tells me he can make his BE.
Problem is Dea a shit footballer and there's a chance he's scores come back down to earth.
His BE is reachable by a poor footballer though. Can understand people trading him though, just like papley to a byrne boy last week there's pros and cons.
Has anyone else got K.K? What are your guys' plans for him come the end of the season? I'm feeling alright about him because he's playing as a winger for GC (last time I checked).
I have him. only 1 good score so far. Hope he can find some consistency and be a nice POD.
I have him and will be holding. he'll come good.
I started with him too. Stick with him, could be up there with best defenders come seasons end
Definitely going to stick with him Jaff, just wondering what the communities thoughts were 🙂
Stick with him. Was sore in round one and I reckon he's still warming up. Bloody frustrating though hey.
I'm seriously considering Fyfe to Tom Lee this week. It gives me 1 more week to see which rookies are the shittest. Gives me swings across 3 lines too. Also my upgrade targets such as Parker and Shaw have high enough BEs this week to not go up in price much. I know I may lose a few points this round, but sets me up for a double upgrade next week. Thoughts?
Yep like it, because if you trade out any of the rookies now they could easily bounce back and cause regret.
Sit on the warchest and pick them off once they are ripe enough to fall off the tree.
Thats exactly what I have done.
Thoughts on Biggs?
He bigg burnman … welcome!
Potential burns. Go rookie or premo.
What to do with Wingard community?
Flush him down the dunny. That mop of his makes for the perfect toilet brush!
And once that is done, get the Glen 20 out to get rid of the stench.
When did he get the hit to the head? Was it before half time?
Thinking Fyfe to Scully bit of a POD and gives me cash for double upgrade next week as I'm thinking of upgrading Bartel and Dea
Dea and Weitering have pretty high BEs, people holding or moving on? Must admit upgrading one to Shaw is mighty enticing.. But most likely i'll be downgrading 2 this week, and then upgrading both weltering and Dea next week to Shaw and Laird/Simpson/Martin
Also, I just have to leave Byrne Jones now right? no point chasing him after his initial increase? Awesome BE still.
Both Dea and Weitering go for me this week to make way for Heater and Lee.
You keeping Fyfe addict?
That's one bullet I managed to dodge Mac as I didn't start with Fyfe.
I've had the JJ, Rocky and Crouch messes to clean up in previous weeks so glad to finally get a week off on the injury front.
id do the same to if i could addict, but i have fyfe. im lookin at adding lee and parker
Yep I'd get on Parker too with the Swans upcoming draw. I'm hoping Hanners, Mills and Smear in my own side can also cash in against the Lions, Dons and Tiges.
Actually DB you may have persuaded me to do likewise and keep Heater for next week as he's unlikely to go up much in price against the Hawks this weekend with a BE in the 120s. In fact I just checked and he hasn't tonned up the last few times he's played the Hawks so he may even be a little cheaper next week if history repeats.
Why trade Dea?
He should make BE
I'm targeting Dea down to Petracca via DPP and Fyfe to Parker with $348K left in the kitty for future upgrades.
Should Bartel be held? Had him since round 1 and not providing
I'm holding him at least for this round playing at skilled against the Suns hopfuly has a good game if not shouldn't drop to much cash
I think so I've had him since round 1 as well. I've also been trying to get Derek to trade him to me in the Draft game but no luck in three weeks so far. But I'm thinking of drafting in Dawson to make a super trade for Jimmy. Fingers crossed Derek sees value in the trade offer 🙂
You know my weakness
🙂
Hold bartel, reassess midyear
Like Scully hope it works out for you Wayno.
Cheers he's looking good this year will see how it goes
Good onya Wayno. Bringing those left of field picks. Keeps the community on their toes
dea to tommy lee??
One trade this week as Fyfe needs to go.
Not really ready to add premos in mids apart from Pendles, but I desperately need to fix R2 (currently Tippett).
So out goes Fyfe, shift BenKen to MID, shift Tippett to FWD, and bring in Gawnster.
Ultimate Double DPP shift!!
Team now:
DEF: Heater, Laird, Adams (FWD), Weitering, DBJ, Wagner (Hartley, Ruggles)
MID: Hanners, Ward, Libba, Wines, Priddis, BenKen (FWD), Mills, Oliver (Kerridge (FWD), Davis, Keays)
RUC: Goldy, Gawn (MKing (FWD))
FWD: Hall (MID), Wells (MID), Buddy, Barlow (MID), Tippett (RUC), AMT (DEF) (Brown (DEF), Rioli)
$553K in the bank, Pendles in next week for maybe BenKen or Oliver (or both too soon?)
Thoughts welcome, thanks all 🙂
I like were your team is ATM and it doesn't look like everyone else's team and you have cash in the bank . I would look at Parker or Selwood over Pends but see how he goes this week
Cheers Wayno, I'd jump on Parker but with 4 Swans already it might bite me come bye time. Now's the time to start thinking bye strategy and I already have 13 players with the bye in R14. Jelwood could be the one as he has R15 bye, also Pendles has bye in R13.
Shark move in thought, what do you think is vital for rank change. An upgrade from dea to heath shaw (fairly common premo yet proven) or an upgrade from dea to docherty (a bit more of a POD). Keep in mind I already have Simpson so would mean simpson and docherty in same defense. Let me know your thoughts.
You have Weitering? If so, that would make it three.
I am not saying that is a bad thing, as Carlton spend plenty of time defending their goal line. That said, when the byes arrive, three blues on your backline would make a crowd with the likelihood that one or more of your other defenders also have a bye that round. Just keep that in mind.
I hate donuts. Cheers
Whats Lee's JS like?
I'll be shocked if he's dropped. Did nothing as a forward, dominated in the VFL last season as a key defender, up there in the b/f for Sandy. Came in for Roberton, shouldn't lose his spot any time soon.
what do i do with suckling.
apparently he is out for 4 weeks
trade
When loersch and dunkley gonna play
Maybe never.
Who should I trade Fyfe for? Other premo midfielders are – Ablett, Danger, Gray, Ward, and Parker!
Ziebell
Selwood or Hannaberry
Who has Grimley but is thinking of bringing in Cox if he's picked the next two weeks? Could keep Grimley and sit Cox in the forward line…
Both those players are a waste of space at this current time. Grimley would've been good in R3 if he never played as a constant loophole with bombers having lots of sunday games coming up.
But yeah keep your eye on big cox (lol)
Fyfe > Out. Wells/Kerridge > Mid. Tippa/Adams > Fwd. Rance > Bench. Matty Boyd > In.
Like it Derek bit of a POD and defenders crashing and burning around him, but the old warhorse is still kicking!
He's a proven 100 point average player and only owned by 4.6% of teams. He's almost 34 though…….there is an element of risk.
Have $1,196,300 for two premos with Fyfe and Dea getting the boot
Already have Shaw, Laird, Danger, Parker, Wines, Zorko, Hall, ZMerrett.
Was thinking Ablett+Priddis, but now considering Ward+Selwood
Ablett and Priddis all day
Ablett and Selwood, although there is talk of Gaz looking sore.
Priddis I feel isn't 100% coming off a niggle and scoring a low 87. BE of 134 so no rush getting him in.
Pendles/Hanne/Selwood are on my radar at the moment.
Hi Community,
Which trade do you think is better?
Fyfe to Petracca or Shaw
and also
Have Dea and Weitering should they be traded (25 Trades remaining
Thanks on adavance
I wouldnt even entertain petracca mate. Not till hes named. Even then youd have to wait to see how he performs. Weitering has the bombers, pies and the power in his next 3 games. Break even of 70 odd so hes a wait and see for me. If he doesnt reach his break even after the pies game id move him on. Dea has a BE of 60. He'll be nearing the end of his usefulness very soon. Id look to move him on very shortly
Stephen Conigilio averaging 106.8 and 117 last three rounds
Left field pick anyone considering??
What's his price at mate? Think he slipped under my radar.
520k
I like it mate. Potential to score very well. In only 0.3% of teams right now. 50 odd break even. Something very different. Probably the biggest pod there is
I'm not considering but I've noticed him because I think he's taking points from Shiel. I have Shiel.
Proven tagger when need be, when he plays pure mid, he racks up the scores but when Leon wants to shut down an opponent, he calls the Conig. Rockliff, Gaff, Shiel, Wines are safer POD's imo.
Any word on Gaz. He looked sore on the weekend.
No word on GAJ from the GC website. They said Saad and Prestia will play if they get through the main session on Thurday
Fyfe to Selwood, Menadue to Lyons? Or keep Menadue?
Missed the boat on Lyons
So Menadue to bench then?
Yep I'd be hesitant to lock in Lyons for 300k, I bought him for 240k after one round played, which you can look at as a ballsy or plain stupid move.
I think menadue & Kennedy will be lucky to keep there spots this week.
Agreed.
Will Petracca Take kenedys place
Trengove not far away either
Probably right Derek.
which trade option is better
Dea and weitering ——-> Shaw and Simpson/Docherty
or
Dea and BenKen ——-> Dahlhaus and Buddy
cheers
Shaw and Simpson
My team for the post above
Defence:
Laird, Adams, Houli, Weitering, Dea, DBJ (Byrne, Ruggles)
Midfield:
Dangerfield, Ablett, Hannebery, Priddis, RGray, Taylor Adams, Shiel, Parish (Hewett, Davis, Gresham)
Ruck:
Gawn, Nic Nat (Lorensch – for loophole)
Forward:
Hall, Wells, Kerridge, De Goey, Benken, AMT (Menadue, Petraca)
Where many will go Pendles at 580k
I will go my own way and choose Hanners which by the way Sydney has 3 soft opposition
I think hanners is in prime form and worth the 620k.
*That saying I'm locking Parker in this week as my mid is weak with only Danger, Ablett, Zaha, Libba, M.Crouch, Mills and Jarryd Lyons.
580k for someone averaging 125 seems crazy cheap, hope he keeps it up.
Parker still cheap! yes can't ignore him now he looks a top 5 midfielder
I have 8 strong mids now:
Danger, Ablett, Parker, Selwood, Zaha, Wines, Libba ( Hanners welcome )
feel I have 5 of the top 10 best mids in this bunch.
No one is considering trading big Sauce Jacobs are they? The temptation to go to Gawn is strong, very strong.
Instead I'm looking to go from Dea to Heath Shaw.. right move?
Thoughts on CRIPPS as captain this week?? We've seen pendles and sidebum dominate last week, ablett and hall rd 1 all other games have been a scrap and no one has really scored well
Could be a big one for cripps I agree, I reckon Essendon will bounce back a bit after last week though, expect Zaha and Merret to fire up.
In a week of carnage, this is probably the last thing on people's minds lol! How is everyone's bye structure looking?
Mine is as follows, ins per round, split with premo / midprice / rookie (total) – no need for position split, as we know it's best 18 regardless of position:
R13: 8 / 4 / 12 (24)
R14: 5 / 2 / 6 (13)
R15: 7 / 2 / 14 (23)
My team right now:
DEF: Heater, Laird, Adams (FWD), Weitering, DBJ, Wagner (Hartley, Ruggles)
MID: Hanners, Ward, Libba, Wines, Priddis, BenKen (FWD), Mills, Oliver (Kerridge (FWD), Davis, Keays)
RUC: Goldy, Gawn (MKing (FWD))
FWD: Hall (MID), Wells (MID), Buddy, Barlow (MID), Tippett (RUC), AMT (DEF) (Brown (DEF), Rioli)
So my aim between now and R13 is to bring in some R14 premos, ones to consider here are:
DEF: Gibson / Pittard / Biggs / Burgoyne / MBoyd
MID: Parker / SMitch / Zaha / Titch
FWD: Dahlhaus / Cyril / not much else here
Thoughts?
errrrr haven't you got that backwards mate? You want to bring in R13 and R15 players.
The numbers above are players available for each round, not ones that are unavailable.
So having only 13 players for R14 not ideal.
Hence the look at R13 players to bring in so I have as close to 18 on field as possible for that round.
At least I think I've got that right….
can afford any 2 defenders who do i get already have Laird and Boyd
Shaw and either Simpson or Docherty.
Or Shaw and Tom lee for cash generation.
Shaw & Simpson
Shaw and a POD
I dunno those stats look ok ffor the past two games, 16 touches and 35 hitouts, last week 17 touches and 40 hitouts.
Just needs to get a few more to advantage and he could do alright.
Parker.
I have $580000 and looking at getting a premo forward. Currently have Buddy Zorko hall Adams and kerridge.
Who should I get? Was thinking D Martin
You will be able to get Martin cheaper in a few weeks time.
Worth looking at Barlow or Dahlhaus
Daulhaus is your man.
Had Barlow and traded him earlier so not getting him back on principal. Thanks
Menadue to Priddis and 50k
or
BenKen to Franklin and 150k
Priddis
Assuming menadue is not on field, Franklin
I have 3 trade scenarios to choose from but can only do one… would appreciate the help
Menadue to Priddis – 50k left
Dea to Shaw – 180k
Ben Kennedy to Zorko – 150k
what do we reckon?
Shaw BE 122 – could drop a little more in price, has Hawks this week but at home so could get his BE.
Priddis BE 134 – may drop in price but have Pies at Domain this week so this is achievable.
Zorko BE 113 – will drop in price after Swans game this week and will have high BE the week after
Tough call – will depend on how your team is structured.
I'd go Shaw. He will be top defender come years end so might as well lock him in and it's one less worry for the future!
Hi Tom,
All your scenarios look inviting!.
Another scenario is to chill for round 6 team announcements on Thursday ……..
New surprises might await…..
Cheers
Good call on Gibbo & Silk Hawks, cheers. Forgot about JPK & McV!
I think even if SMitch is rested he's worth it the way he's going.
May be a chance they won't be able to afford to rest him later on?
Also don't forget the bye is later this year too.
If anyone needs a rest it's Lewis, he's had a pretty quiet start to the year.
Hi all, in search of a uber premo to set me up for the rest of the season, I have narrowed the following options of premos I do not already have:
Priddis
Sidearse
Pendles
Hanners (Note – I have Parker already)
Sloane
Gray
Steven
All are arousing, true trouser splitting beasts, what are your cortexes saying community?
I think Pendles, I have commented below my reasoning why but he always provides your team with stability, even when poor scores 90.
Not sure if I'd consider all those guys potential uber premos……..but I'll list them in my order of preference.
Hanners
Pendle
Gray (high BE)
Priddis (high-ish BE)
Sloane
Sidebum (not convinced by one big score in a blowout)
Steven
SS – Who would you consider Uber premium? Be good to know your thoughts and who I am missing…
Hanners
Pendle
Gray (high BE)
Priddis (high-ish BE)
But I'd avoid Gray, port are in a bad place right now, this can hurt even the greatest of players.
Also, I have Parker, so should that rule out Hanners? Leaning towards Pendles for that reason. I do have Selwood and Danger and v happy with the double to date…
I wouldn't rule out Hanners mate, 14 of his 22 games last year were 30+ possessions. Averaged 114.5 and seems to be replicating that this year. (ave 117.8)
Can be good to stick with the successful teams and I see Geelong and Sydney possibly both top 4.
I have gone Fyfe to Pendlebury and Zac Smith to Goldstein.
I feel as if Pendlebury is somewhat forgotten about although he is back playing where he should be and the ribs look like they have healed.
Thoughts community?
Like the trades. Could also go parker instead for similar cash as he's in such good form.
Parker in 24.3% of teams
Pendles in 20.4% of teams
Ward in 4.5% of teams
Same ilk in my eyes, go the pod mate
That is low for Ward, and a 115 average. Great POD.
But Parker is in ripping form and averaging 125 for the same price.
Ah the decisions of SC. They will keep you up at night, give you grey hairs and the odd fit of rage when a big decision fails.
Love all the suggestions boys.
I have had Parker from the start which was very lucky, I also have Sidebottom so do you think this is a problem if I bring in Pendles as well and have two collingwood premiums in my midfield?
Cracked ribs don't heal in a fortnight!
A Nab cup injury therefore 6 – 8 weeks.
Looks close to 100%. Plus he was scoring 100's even with the sore/cracked ribs.
BE of 100 lock him in if you want him now I reckon.
Thoughts on the Goldstein trade SS?
Should I be looking at Martin or Jacobs instead and save some money?
I don't have Fyfe and I've had a blinder start to the season and only used up 2 trades so far, so I think I might do my first upgrade:
Ben Ken -> Tom Lee
Weitering -> H. Shaw
Is it a bit risky trading two of the more solid rookies? Both have break evens approaching their averages and I think it should be alright as I have the better selection rookies. Also Lincoln McCarthy would replace Ben Ken essentially on field.
