Does the community believe j selwood will get back to his best this yr and avg between 115 -120. If so swooping on him now while under $560k looks very juicy. Peoples thoughts.
Only have Nic Nat so im 100 from 1.

Anth · 16/04/2016 at 09:12

Damn you Bachar. But after your scores from the past 2 weeks you can be excused… Just.

Adds · 16/04/2016 at 09:13

Decided to hold b crouch for the moment, now I have lost Gibson and Priddis – not a good start to the round think my overall position of low 400 is going to take a battering this week!

Shake n bake · 16/04/2016 at 09:31

Is Selwood a top 8 mid from here on? really pulling my hair out over this trade with crouch. And I get my scores from footyinfo but seems like it's having problems, is there another app I can download to get live scores?

    Loyal RoughNuts · 16/04/2016 at 09:47

I believe selwood will get back to his 2014 form. Cats have a pretty good run with games. He has relatively weak teams for SC finals so im thinking at his price he is worth the punt. Reckon he will avg 115 + for the yr. Has same bye round as rocky also. Top 12 mids i believe. What do others think?

    Moz · 16/04/2016 at 09:51

I'm trying to get Selwood in, he always goes insane in the second half of the year & because Geelong are going to win a lot this year, he is going to score well. Nice POD

    Kev · 16/04/2016 at 12:41

Fanfooty mate. Has live sc scores during games

      Shake n bake · 16/04/2016 at 13:04

      Tnx Kev

      BundyBear · 16/04/2016 at 16:27

      Thankyou for that 🙂

Marvin · 16/04/2016 at 09:41

Please to see yeo bash out a 130 odd last night. Quick qn I have Gresham. Do I pull the plug on him for hartley. He's not making coin or playing a. It means moving rich to mid, starting dea and then via my other dpps it mean I end up with one of either rich, m crouch, bkennedy or keeridge on my mid bench?? Ideally I would have thought of this last night when I could have moved menapoo to the mid bench by anyway too late. Thoughts?

    Moz · 16/04/2016 at 09:50

Sounds like a good idea. rading down to Hartley who is going to give you cash generation. His JS isn't 100% but then again Gresham isn't in the team at all

Paul · 16/04/2016 at 09:47

Happy with Yeo, but stupid ol me stuffed up the loophole. I was going to do Danger into Goldstein. I got as far as putting the VC on Danger, but forgot to put the C on Goldstein. Captain Dusty Martin for me. FFS!

Moz · 16/04/2016 at 09:49

So I have Rocky on my bench, and I was destined to lose my league match by over a hundred, so i decided to hold him
my opponent had Houli & Martin and they both spudded it up, so now I have a chance to win!

MID: Fyfe, Danger, Parker, Gray, Libba, Oliver, Kerridge, Davis (Menadue, Rocky, Keays)

I want to trade Rocky –> Ward. Is it a good idea to do this? Or should I risk a loss and hold Rocky for now?

I would really appreciate any advice, thanks!

    Paul · 16/04/2016 at 09:59

The midfield looks fine as it is. Rockliff will only miss a couple, so may as well hold IMO. You might lose 40 or 50 points max.

      Moz · 16/04/2016 at 10:00

You think that Rocky will come back and have premo output?

        Paul · 16/04/2016 at 11:19

Maybe not immediately, but yeah, he's a proven scorer and with less rotations he'll be resting forward. He's very clever around goals, since he was drafted as a small forward.

Jojo · 16/04/2016 at 09:58

I got gaff in is a pod do I take his 132 as captain or will danger or Ablett do better I'm currently in a fierce league with my friends and I need to win

    Moz · 16/04/2016 at 10:04

132 is a great score. Defs take it

    Brookesy · 16/04/2016 at 10:05

    Always take 130+

    Ethan017 · 16/04/2016 at 19:50

Danger scored 99 and Ablett scored 114

Iamme · 16/04/2016 at 09:59

Considering Dusty & Houli had such poor scores, I think you can risk keeping Rocky for another week….remember he is a fallen elite premo and is very capable 160 plus scores.

    Moz · 16/04/2016 at 10:01

    Injury ridden though?
    Didn't have a full pre-season?

      Keithy · 16/04/2016 at 10:17

Keep Rocky, don't waste the trade. You will spew when he comes back and starts banging out 120s.

Jack · 16/04/2016 at 10:13

Mills to Parish? Any value in a trade like that? Only 17k difference now but Parish looks to be the stronger performer and may even reach 100-150k more than Mills on current form? What do you think community?

    Moz · 16/04/2016 at 10:16

TBH sounds like a waste of a trade. You should have enough of the other rookies to have good cash generation. Don't want to sideways trade too many times

    davo · 16/04/2016 at 10:52

No real benefit to this trade, must trade up or down, better still hold.

Tobias · 16/04/2016 at 10:32

Who should I trade Crouch to? Dangerfield and have no money left or Selwood which would leave me with 100k left.

    Moz · 16/04/2016 at 10:40

I would be going for Selwood.

    Iamme · 16/04/2016 at 11:21

Selwood for pod, now if he can only recapture his Elite Premo form of 2014.

Francis · 16/04/2016 at 10:54

Trade Crouch for Brodie Smith or hold? Will Smith be a top 6 DEF?

    Moz · 16/04/2016 at 10:56

Could be a good trade, however Adelaide havea very rough couple of week coming up, may hinder his score

      siri · 16/04/2016 at 12:01

Go with your gut feeling francis….. wanted to get Houli in but gona give him another week or two.

Smith could be a top 6 defender

        Cam_H · 16/04/2016 at 12:41

Also keep half an eye open for the balance of your teams around the Byes. Adelaide has a Round 13 Bye (generally considered less preferable) but you may have a strategy or team balance where you can accommodate for it, or you'd rather just get the player you want and not concern yourself over having to 'wear' a 'donut'. There are a lot of Rounds between then and now, and lots can change in the meantime. Nonetheless, thought I'd mention it.

For what it's worth, I have Brodie Smith in my team, and think that he's capable of being a top-tier Def this year. Likewise, I've traded out Brad Crouch this week, but in 2019 the kids won't believe that he was valued at just $306,000 back in 2016!

Rayza · 16/04/2016 at 11:45

Ive got a dilemma so I need a few GUNS thoughts….. I have McMillan who I don't trust at all is it worth burning a trade down to either Johannison or Brodie Smith. Time is of the essence any thoughts would be appreciated. Don't want to go 0 – 2.

    Moz · 16/04/2016 at 12:12

I would go Smith over JJ just because he's proven himself before, however JJ is doing really well this year

siri · 16/04/2016 at 11:57

What should i do if PRID misses another game communiry…. considering his age and the injury…..

    Moz · 16/04/2016 at 12:11

he won't miss another week, trust

    bUCKET__ · 16/04/2016 at 12:14

Hold. Not likely he'll be rested this year when fit, and he's been durable throughout his career. In any case, he'll be fine next week (unless he does something to re-injure himself). He was only a day off playing this week, apparently. Should go big against the Swans!

dognino · 16/04/2016 at 12:10

Going to loophole danger into gaz for C, but stupid me left the E on menadue on the bench. So looks like I'm going to have to take his 58 if danger rips it up. It will be mills coming off the ground anyway, so shouldn't be too much of a difference between his and mana dues scores.

    Luke · 16/04/2016 at 12:29

Is Davis likely to score more than 58?
I can put dunkley on ground in the middle which would then allow me to loophole McDT and Papley in the forward line and Danger into Ablett captain loophole.
    I am confusing myself….

    Holty · 16/04/2016 at 12:37

not sure how this will stop you doing the loophole dognino. Surely you have another non playing player in another position?

      dognino · 16/04/2016 at 13:43

It doesn't stop me from loop holing the C. It just locks in the 58 from menadue if I do . I had other options with swing sets available

Cliffy · 16/04/2016 at 12:11

I'm pretty settled in terms of my on-field rookies this week, it's looking like this:

Def: Weitering, Adams, Dea
Mid: One of Mills or Davis
Fwd: Wells, B.Kennedy, one of Papley or McDonald-Tippungwuti

What are you guys rolling with on field for the last two spots both in Midfield and Forward? I really don't think there will be a great points difference, but just curious.

Also, my trade finger is so itchy to get rid of Greene, but it will compromise my Forwards structure likely since I'll only have Hall and Barlow left as my main Forwards, and will have to play 4 rookie forwards (my trade plan was to get out Greene for the likes of Johannisen or Laird). Should I be resisting the temptation to punt him, or go for it? There really isn't too many other problems with my team after scoring 2,400+ last week.

Cheers 🙂

    Cliffy · 16/04/2016 at 12:12

Realistically, Barlow and Greene are my only concerns in seems at this stage.

TySB · 16/04/2016 at 12:16

Danger or Gazza captain?

Pulling my hair out because I loopholed Nic Nat.

    Derek · 16/04/2016 at 12:28

If Danger try's he will score 200. I'm worried he has a nice day out sipping latte and scores a lazy 80

I'm hoping he wants the 3 Brownlow votes

      hedski · 16/04/2016 at 16:13

      He didn't

Mac · 16/04/2016 at 12:20

Do I take Menadues score or sub Papley on?

    Jess_coach · 16/04/2016 at 12:29

Im going papley. The upside is definitely there. Even if papley has a shocker, you wouldnt think he could do nuch worse than a 40 odd, which wouldnt be a massive loss

      Noigerbour · 16/04/2016 at 22:37

      He did

    Southern S · 17/04/2016 at 07:04

Maybe I'm biased being a crow's supporter but there was no way papley was going to score well in a tough battle at Adelaide oval.

brody · 16/04/2016 at 12:37

captain goldstein or captain danger?

Kev · 16/04/2016 at 12:39

Proven premium at 560k, jump on. Reliable. May not crack the top 10 mids but we won't be far off it

Kev · 16/04/2016 at 12:47

No consistency in defence, it was repeated ad nauseam in the preseason. Shaw, JJoh, Gibbo proven it so far. You'll get those games from Houli et al, jump on when his price drops because you know what he's capable of

andy_89 · 16/04/2016 at 13:16

Which 2 out of Kerridge/Papley/B Kennedy would you start upfront this week?

andy_89 · 16/04/2016 at 13:31

Thanks, that was my initial instinct but thought I was missing something when SC Gold projections for Papley are 86 while Kerridge and Kennedy were 43 and 68. Guess moral of the story is to turn them off!

    Holty · 16/04/2016 at 13:33

lol. yeah i dont pay any attention to the projections.

Johny · 16/04/2016 at 14:46

Danger and bartel screwing me over

    Marco_Polo94 · 16/04/2016 at 18:11

Cliffy · 16/04/2016 at 15:39

Guys, I only need one trade to go from Greene (via DPP swing with Adams) to get in Laird or Johannisen. Worth it, or persist with Greene for longer?

Cliffy · 16/04/2016 at 15:41

Means my Forwards then look like:

Hall, Barlow, Adams, Kerridge, B.Kennedy, AMT (Papley, McCarthy)

And my Defenders then look like:

Houli, Shaw, Laird/Johannisen, Bartel, Weitering, Dea (Brown, Hartley)

Too fraught with danger in terms of structures?

    Clarky · 18/04/2016 at 11:04

you are very rookie based in defense

Nicholas · 16/04/2016 at 15:51

Learnt my lesson to never put danger as captain again… Vc is the only role for him

Cashcows · 16/04/2016 at 16:12

Tipa with 100.

Who goes off (using emergency loophole) – Papley, greene or barlow?

Thinking papley but is barlow a chance for a late out? was on extended bench and all.

    hedski · 16/04/2016 at 16:28

That's a hard call cashie, besides his first half last week the smear has been the most consistent. As I had no fwd loophole (Mccarthy) I've moved petracca down from mids to get tippas ton and put wells into mids moving mills to bench. Had to play paps for this to work and hope a bit. Had menapoo e'd in mids and was tossing up between mills/davis. Doesn't matter now.
Anyway that's a hard call of yours they all have pros/cons. Spudhead greene due for a good one, spudlow no sandi, papsmear inexperienced vs crows.
    Good luck 🙂

      Kev · 16/04/2016 at 17:05

I'm a play it safe kinda guy, the percentage move is to put your rookie on the pine

      Cashcows · 16/04/2016 at 17:06

It's killin me mate. Really tough choice.

Papley had a soft run so far in pies and blues but got done by his DE v GWS. Probably 60-90 if he gets enough of the ball.
But freo are 0-3 and against arguably a team looking to be in finals, surely SURELY barlow gets thrown in the middle.
Greene biggest yoyo this season so far. Could play out of his skin or put his feet up. His DE was down last game but did get enough of the ball which is a good sign.

Think I'm going Papley, gotta back in your "premos", can't have 400k on the bench.

        hedski · 16/04/2016 at 17:26

        Good call

    Phil · 16/04/2016 at 18:15

I reckon it's close to a no brainer, has to be Papley. If you've lost that much faith in Greene & Barlow that you're considering starting a 107k rookie in their place, then I'd be trading them out.

Holty · 16/04/2016 at 16:17

hmmm, vc on Danger a fail. do i put it on Ablett or Goldy?

    hedski · 16/04/2016 at 16:21

Same holty. Goldy for me with sandi out

      Holty · 16/04/2016 at 16:24

true. just something tells me Ablett is about to have a huge game and Freo after losing 3 will be out for blood.

        hedski · 16/04/2016 at 16:31

Think they've been out for that for a couple now not helping them

          hedski · 16/04/2016 at 16:31

Ablett good choice too I've just gone goldy cheers

            Holty · 16/04/2016 at 16:53

C is on Goldy. Lets go big fella

              hedski · 16/04/2016 at 17:26

              Ha ha kick another 5

Holty · 16/04/2016 at 16:47

lol. i said that sc has their favorite players and mentioned Fyfe. Ablett is the other one. He has had 1 kick only and has 11 points. Can someone explain how that happens?

Tophawk · 16/04/2016 at 16:54

Can't take a trick with friggin captain choices at the moment. Went V on Nic Nat which I did not take, and subsequently Danger comes out with 96!!! Luckily no real spuds at this stage. Tippa onfield with 101. aaaaaahhhh Welcome… Soothes the Danger pain.

    Tulendeena · 16/04/2016 at 18:05

Holty · 16/04/2016 at 16:56

who was talking about selecting Lynch the other day? Hope you stuck with your gut and went with him. He looks going large today

Jack · 16/04/2016 at 17:03

Zaharakis another big score…seems the real deal

    Clarky · 18/04/2016 at 11:07

I reckon he may start getting tagged, so i don't expect him to keep this form up.

Tophawk · 16/04/2016 at 17:04

Not watching the Gold Coast – Brisbane match. Anything up with Ablett? Has not had a possession for about 20 minutes.

    hedski · 16/04/2016 at 17:37

Bout halfway thru second on 11 possies and 50 points. Gotta agree with holty re above but I'm still watching the (DELAYED CHANNEL 7 UR S#IT) cats fiasco. Will watch second half suns on phone. Hopin for a big score from captain goldy tomorrow tops to catch ya

      hedski · 16/04/2016 at 17:39

      Re holty above pet scorers

Hazey · 16/04/2016 at 17:30

Geez I just dunno what to do with Barlow. I'm just not certain of any options around his price a Mobtagna have dropped effort yet…

Buddy perhaps? Boomer?

    Dan · 16/04/2016 at 23:23

    Merret if you can afford

TeenWolfFyfe · 16/04/2016 at 17:41

Should i put the capt on parker, fyfe or r gray?

    Nuggety · 16/04/2016 at 17:49

Can Parker keep up his good run? If so I'm bringing him in next week…but I'd go the Fyfe.

Anthony · 16/04/2016 at 17:50

Stef Martin :'(

And he was on track for his best score.

    Clarky · 18/04/2016 at 11:09

Not gonna lie, bloody hate steven may now. Cost me massively.

Mac · 16/04/2016 at 18:03

Thanks Steven May.

Cashcows · 16/04/2016 at 18:04

If you guys don't have telstra postpaid for the free subscription to AFL live, you can sign up to crownbet and watch for FREE ALL YEAR, no deposit needed. Details over at ozbargain, not sure what the linking rules are here.

Just in case some of you don't hear about it elsewhere.

Marco_Polo94 · 16/04/2016 at 18:14

2 from 2 Danger. Quit letting me down when i chuck the C on you.

    hedski · 16/04/2016 at 18:34

I would alternate your weeks marco stick with him next week

Andrew · 16/04/2016 at 18:30

Last minute advice community… Play Papley or Mcgovern!?

Holty · 16/04/2016 at 18:43

Amazing. When you think you are having a fantastic round and BIG MAY cleans up your ruck who is dominating. Great bump but i wouldnt be surprised if he get 3-4 weeks for that.

SC Shelia · 16/04/2016 at 18:47

Lonergan gone next week had 32 half way through mid is first qrt time and sitting on 44? Buh BYE!!

Davonaise · 16/04/2016 at 18:49

Hope people held Rich, he ain't losing any value

    Iamme · 16/04/2016 at 18:58

Yes siree, after some debate I decided to keep Rich, looking like he will ton up for sure and hopefully pass the B/E of 115

    Nicholas · 16/04/2016 at 19:11

Thank god derek convinced me to keep him haha

      Derek · 16/04/2016 at 21:25

The Rich haters will be quiet this week

        Southern S · 17/04/2016 at 14:59

Don't get too excited yet he's still only averaging about 80 isn't he? Good score in a tough week though

Tophawk · 16/04/2016 at 19:34

Aaron Hall just keeps doing the business. Tonned up yet again. Ryan Davis was bloody dissapointing. Lucky to get 35 SC points. Had him on the bench and ready to loophole him. No need for that. Mills can stay onfield.

Gazza lucky to tonne up tonight. Not sure if he is 100%. Not sure whether to bring him in at this stage.

    Derek · 17/04/2016 at 10:25

Gaz was getting a fair bit of attention and Hall Was left alone. I have to admit his starting to look like a top 8 forward. Missed the boat.

Ethan017 · 16/04/2016 at 19:53

Nicholas · 16/04/2016 at 20:09

Smith and Papley not the best starts…

PJay · 16/04/2016 at 20:34

Why was Callum Sinclair dropped?

    Starky · 17/04/2016 at 07:04

    Foot injury

    Coasting · 17/04/2016 at 09:44

poloko48 · 16/04/2016 at 20:54

Papsmear has had just one handball & one tackle this half for 7 SC pts. May be nearly time to cull.

Tophawk · 16/04/2016 at 21:00

    Marco_Polo94 · 16/04/2016 at 21:00

    Shivers that's significant…

    Paulie Walnuts · 16/04/2016 at 21:00

    Yeah, bad hammy

    CoachDamo · 16/04/2016 at 21:01

I only brought him in last week!

    Marco_Polo94 · 16/04/2016 at 21:01

    What a goal just quietly

Nicholas · 16/04/2016 at 21:01

I guess ill be using my 6th trade this week JJ hammy rip

Mac · 16/04/2016 at 21:01

Papley is real good.

    Southern S · 17/04/2016 at 07:11

People expected too much of him after some good scores give the kid a break tough game. Crow's are under rated knew it would be a close game between two form teams

    Coasting · 17/04/2016 at 09:47

I agree. There are more than 150,000 men playing Australian Football and he's amongst the best 500 that puts him in the top 0.3%

Tophawk · 16/04/2016 at 21:13

The Doggies look so sharp.

Now the suckling pig is off as well.

The JJ injury is a real shocker. Bloody SC gods at work again.

I dont have him, but gee wiz……I feel really sorry for the bloke. An up and comer struck down.

Paulie Walnuts · 16/04/2016 at 21:35

Glad i didn't jump on the Parker bandwagon, but overall most SC scores are shite to date

    Marco_Polo94 · 16/04/2016 at 22:35

Yeh not the best of nights for him, I'll take his 40-50 point final quarter though.

    Southern S · 17/04/2016 at 07:07

Was due for a quieter game doesn't change my view of him as a whole.

BigHaydos · 16/04/2016 at 21:41

This round is insane.

Houli and Martin stink it up
Gibson didn't play
JJ did his hamstring and should be out for a lengthy period
Dangerfield underwhelming
Priddis not playing
Luke Parker stinking it up
Underwhelming captains options

I've got priddis on the bench but stuck strong with rich and didn't jump on the Gibson, JJ, Parker train. I'm pretty relieved I stuck with rich and waited patiently

Predicting quite low scores this round

Sam Mitchell, Dan rich, I love you both

    Dan · 16/04/2016 at 23:20

Not to mention that wander may knocked out Martin when he was on 66 at half time

Hawks · 16/04/2016 at 21:43

Amazing to think JJ will miss more weeks with a hammy, than Hodge did with a broken arm.

Jack · 16/04/2016 at 21:52

JJ has gained 10 points since he was injured

tuxCS · 16/04/2016 at 22:31

I think it's time to cull papley, if not this week then after next round. I'll probably swing AMT into the fwd line and then trade papley for a Ruggles or a Tom Lee he seemed decent against the Hawks.

    Marco_Polo94 · 16/04/2016 at 22:34

doubt papsmear will keep his spot after that effort

      Noigerbour · 16/04/2016 at 22:42

    Pete · 16/04/2016 at 22:42

Byrne looked pretty impressive, looks like he could score 65plus every week

    Coasting · 17/04/2016 at 09:41

    Ruggles is a spud

    CoachDamo · 17/04/2016 at 12:50

    New nickname is Tom crapley

Bells E Bubb · 16/04/2016 at 22:48

Stuff this Community. Three weeks in and I've had a GUTFULL!
Every week I pick the dead wrong, worst option Captain. This week I went with Danger who in the normal course of events would have trotted out a lazy 140 and cruised it in. But no. Not THIS week. Cause I picked him.
And then the crows get a couple of ludicrous home team last quarter umpoo decisions and the Swans go down fighting.
Damn it all TO HELL !

    Coasting · 17/04/2016 at 09:43

Relying solely on your captain in a game with 22 contributors is beginner stuff

    Southern S · 17/04/2016 at 15:04

Assuming danger would have got a lazy 140 is ridiculous. He got a 77 the other week. Pick ablett maybe? Been reliable

Nicholas · 16/04/2016 at 22:58

Oh dear 1411 with 7 players left what a disaster

    Luke · 16/04/2016 at 23:28

Feeling the pain… All started Friday night when Priddis was a late out. Ranking is going to take a hit this week. 1444 with 15 played and some very underwhelming performances.
Greene and Barlow will just be the cherry on top tomorrow.

      Marco · 16/04/2016 at 23:59

Wouldn't be too worried about rankings, looks like many are in a similar boat.

    Hawks · 16/04/2016 at 23:47

1410 with 7 to play – Goldy, Gawn, benKen, Wells, Barlow, Fyfe & Ward

2000-2100 will be a good score to get to.

Already got my 2 trades sorted for next week, Papley to Menzel, JJ to ??

      Kev · 17/04/2016 at 08:49

Menzel? Really? Trade up or down, not to a midpricer.

    Southern S · 17/04/2016 at 06:52

1498 with 7 to play captained ablett. Glad I trusted my gut and played tippa over papley.

875k in the bank went off the rails this week and did a crazy trade from b crouch to jarryd lyons.

Even though I always say don't trade in a player after one game I rate the guy and think he is well worth the 240k. (90 + 79)

Zaha looks to be the bargain I'd hoped for, was about 415k.

    JJ was looking great. Devastated.

Iamme · 16/04/2016 at 23:07

Used Danger as Captain so I'm happy to be 1387/ 14 with Polec, De Goey, Fyfe, Shaw, Benkenn, Barlow, Wells & Goldy remaining

    bck2pp · 17/04/2016 at 00:00

170/16 gaz C. Ok with that. PODS ok Sloane dog well played

Fev · 16/04/2016 at 23:18

Upgrade targets for next week Merrett, Rance, Tom Lynch(GC), Docherty.. hmm decisions
Then Scott Pendlebury and Heath Shaw In a few weeks time

    Southern S · 17/04/2016 at 06:57

I think merret is a massive lock for the forward line, I don't have Zorko either but liking Zach as the first one I bring in.

    tuxCS · 17/04/2016 at 20:32

Be careful with Tom Lynch from the Suns there Fev, even though he can go big, there are better and more consistent options in the forward line (I.E ones that play MID), like Zorko, Merrett, Hall, Dahlhaus, Montagna and even a H.Bennell when he comes back (I feel like he'll get some mid time, Lyon will go for a restructure if the dockers continue playing like they are).

Michael · 17/04/2016 at 06:54

Do I take Dangerfields 99 or go with Wines, Shiel, Mumford or Gawn for Captain?

    Ethan017 · 17/04/2016 at 09:56

    Gawn for captain

Southern S · 17/04/2016 at 06:59

Liking mumford vs port Michael

    Michael · 17/04/2016 at 07:29

I'm tossing up between Mummy and Gawn now. I was heading towards Gawn but as you said. Mummy is gonna be up against Lobbe and Gawn is up against Grundy. Not that Grundy is the greatest ruckman but hes better than Lobbe. I think i'm gonna stik with my gut and go with Gawn.

      Southern S · 17/04/2016 at 14:44

Mumford looking the goods so far.

BigHaydos · 17/04/2016 at 08:35

What's the par score going to be this week community?

    Paulie Walnuts · 17/04/2016 at 09:07

If I get to 2150 I will be reasonably happy

    Davo · 17/04/2016 at 09:08

    Maybe 2100+

      Derek · 17/04/2016 at 12:55

Anything over 2100 will be a good score.

I somehow ended up with Davis and Paps on field with Menadue and Tippa on bench, just not getting it right this year.

Coasting · 17/04/2016 at 09:25

1875 with Goldy, Gawn,Fyffe,Bkennedy,Wells, to play
Thinking of, JJ to Laird and Papley to ZMerrett worthwile trades?

    Iamme · 17/04/2016 at 09:51

that's looking like 2400 plus….not too shabby is a carnage round such as this.

    Hawks · 17/04/2016 at 13:02

Good scoring…I'm think 2350 more likely than 2400, but still the par score will be between 2000 & 2100,

I also like the look of those trades.

steven · 17/04/2016 at 09:35

Who to tip Port or GWS?

    Boltons Blues · 17/04/2016 at 12:49

I tipped both Brisbane and the Crows, going with my gut again and hoping for GWS

      Tulendeena · 17/04/2016 at 14:54

      Is your gut for sale?

Ethan017 · 17/04/2016 at 10:00

Anyone know how long JJ will be out for
Don't plan to trade him out but just keep him on the bench and play Tippa instead

    Derek · 17/04/2016 at 10:05

I believe he has torn a tendon. Could be 8 weeks

      stavros · 17/04/2016 at 10:31

is it worthwhile bringing forward culling and culling j j and paps but hoo have fattened for a super prem and another cow I was thinking j j /pap 2 ruggs fyfe/gray/hanna after all j j was a stepping stone gets me a premium 3 weeks earlier don't know j j too good but can bring him back as a cheap underpriced def at byes am I thinking logic

        stavros · 17/04/2016 at 10:32

        sorry both who

    goran · 17/04/2016 at 12:46

7 Game Day said 12-16 weeks. Shit.

      goran · 17/04/2016 at 12:49

      that is worst case

The Replacements · 17/04/2016 at 10:24

Am 220 behind my opponent with Pendles, Barlow, Gawn, Sheridan, Oliver to his Fyfe, Goldy, Taylor Adams. Considering throwing a spanner and trading Pendles for Robbie Gray or Fyfe. Understand its sideways although I am concerned with Pendles this year. Thoughts??

    SC Shelia · 17/04/2016 at 11:16

I wouldnt do that, keep Pendels Sidey is back. Pendels will be fine dont waste the trade

    Average Joe · 17/04/2016 at 13:02

Remember pendles had sore ribs, but yes, it doesn't look like he will be as good as past years

      The Replacements · 17/04/2016 at 13:15

Thanks for the advice guys gone ride it out!

Wayno76 · 17/04/2016 at 10:31

Haven't played my captain yet I could go R Gray or N Fyfe or Gawn any thoughts on best option

    Kev · 17/04/2016 at 10:34

Three certainties in life; death, taxes, and Jacobs hanging off Fyfe this afternoon. Go with Gray

      Marcus · 17/04/2016 at 11:08

I flipped a coin and im going with gray

      Wayno76 · 17/04/2016 at 19:19

      Should have stuck with Fyfe

    Matt · 17/04/2016 at 11:23

Depends on how badly you need the points in your league match. Gray is safer, but gain will be riding high after his performance last week and could shoot the lights out.

      Matt · 17/04/2016 at 11:24

      Gawn not gain

    Wayno76 · 17/04/2016 at 21:55

Fyfe would have been the best pick but I went rob Gray … If I went Fyfe I would have won all my league matches . All good though I think I e still got a better team than most in my league . The captain choice is defenely a majore point though

Matt · 17/04/2016 at 10:59

What do people think about Josh p Kennedy this year? Was tossing up between him Parker at the start, and decided to go jpk. Starting to regret it atm. Do we think his scoring output is gonna increase as year goes on? He's not plating bad, getting a lot of contested ball, he's just not the linchpin of the swans midfield anymore…

    Kev · 17/04/2016 at 11:10

Not sure what CD doesn't like about his game but his contested possessions (14.5) and clearances (7.8) numbers per game are high. Even his d.e sits at a respectable 71%. Can only think that his points are going to Hanners, Parker, Tmitch (among others). Stick with him, that monster game can't be too far away

      Matt · 17/04/2016 at 11:21

That's what I was thinking, but I haven't been able to watch much swans games this year so thought maybe I was missing something. Still, in a team with so many star performers, maybe there'll be too many people stealing the points all year and he want be near the top 10 mids. Will stick it out, was just hoping for an average that was about 10 points higher

        Derek · 17/04/2016 at 12:47

I think JPK is being affected by the less number of stoppages. Not sure if the number will get back to where it was last year

Paul · 17/04/2016 at 12:17

Hanley is going to be hard to ignore. Should be about 500k after this week, but he's built game on game.

Shake n bake · 17/04/2016 at 12:44

Is Goldy a chance to miss???

    goran · 17/04/2016 at 12:45

      Shake n bake · 17/04/2016 at 12:53

Brown said it at the end of footy show. Think I heard right that he was a chance to miss.

    Paul · 17/04/2016 at 15:10

Goldsack? If so, then yes, he's out.

      Derek · 17/04/2016 at 15:17

Oh No. Goldsack is out. Lucky I didn't trade him in this week

Boltons Blues · 17/04/2016 at 12:51

1270 with Gawn Goldy Gray Shaw Shiel BenKen Wells and Fyfe, i need 100+ from them all to get a half decent score, need the 172 scores from the GawnStein combo again

uDonkey · 17/04/2016 at 12:52

1163 from 14. Poor choices of rookies on field. S Martin unlucky was 60+ at half-time before May cleaned him out.
Still have Gray (C) Fyfe Ward Shaw Wingard Barlow Wells and BenK to play hoping to push 2200.

    Derek · 17/04/2016 at 13:08

I can see Shaw going big. Don't think he will be checked much and will be allowed to run free. I hope not.

      uDonkey · 17/04/2016 at 13:46

Given 3 frees killing his score and has the job on wingard. Hope he gets to run free on the 2nd quarter. Gray started ok then started to fall away towards the end of the quarters with few clangers and free. Still early days hope they can turn it around and hope Wingard and Ward keeps doing what they doing.

        Derek · 17/04/2016 at 13:50

        Even Lobbe is looking good.

      Derek · 17/04/2016 at 13:49

      Or not!

      Ethan017 · 17/04/2016 at 16:10

Just the 70 points from Shaw

    rudeynudey · 17/04/2016 at 14:38

    LOL RGray 29 at halftime

      uDonkey · 17/04/2016 at 14:45

I think you've mixed up you symbols

steven · 17/04/2016 at 13:42

Heater Shaw has 3 frees against in the first quarter.

    Derek · 17/04/2016 at 14:20

    bryne-jones looks a good player

SC Shelia · 17/04/2016 at 14:15

Heater 9 sc points approaching halftime what a spud

    Mac · 17/04/2016 at 14:24

To be fair the ball isn't down there a lot. Giants dominating the pill, only 15 inside 50's for Port.

    Derek · 17/04/2016 at 15:18

Watch him weave his magic for a 50pt last term

      Derek · 17/04/2016 at 16:35

He doubled his score in junk time final quarter. That is why I need to get him

Richard · 17/04/2016 at 14:32

Shocking round this week.2000+ going to be a good score

Marco_Polo94 · 17/04/2016 at 14:45

SC Gods can be really really cruel at times.

wombatsfc · 17/04/2016 at 14:46

hahahaha loving this round, the wheels have come off a few wagons that the rookie coaches jumped on early

    Mac · 17/04/2016 at 14:52

Which players are you referring to Wombats coaches jumped on? I know I got Gray for Rocky and hes not doing a lot.

    uDonkey · 17/04/2016 at 15:03

No bangwagon here. Had Gray from day 1 still holding on Rich and Barlow from day 1. Only rookie i got a week ago was Papley for cash cow and traded Rocky for Hannebery this week.

Stayed away from Parker Houli JJ and Abblett.

      Mac · 17/04/2016 at 15:06

Yes the only trades I've made are Gray for Rocky and Papley for Gresh

Luviboy1 · 17/04/2016 at 14:50

What a week! Premos and popular rookie picks stinking it up everywhere. I keep reading rumors that Goldy will be a late out, so should I stick the C on Gawn?

Havent been watching the Port v GWS game, read that Robbie Gray is set to miss weeks after a high bump, anyone confirm?

    Paul · 17/04/2016 at 15:22

    Not out. No late changes.

hedski · 17/04/2016 at 14:51

Looks like gray might miss a week or two

    uDonkey · 17/04/2016 at 15:16

Might only be a week or might only be a fine. There was nothing it, i know it was behind play. Didn't effect Ward in continuing to play on and no free kick was given.

      hedski · 17/04/2016 at 16:39

      Here's hopin it's a fine

Mac · 17/04/2016 at 14:52

What's people view on the Gray incident.

    Paul · 17/04/2016 at 16:41

Just a love tap. Fine at worst…chances are it's a "not enough force, etc" though.

Nicholas · 17/04/2016 at 15:10

JJ Gray deary me I guess ill hold gray and ditch jj
Thinking maybe jj to the port rookie since backline prmeos are not stable yet

    Derek · 17/04/2016 at 15:15

Byrne-Jones looks a better option than Ruggles?

      Nicholas · 17/04/2016 at 15:47

      yeh he got 91

Paulie Walnuts · 17/04/2016 at 15:17

    Ethan017 · 17/04/2016 at 16:06

Started Zach Merrett ahead of him and have been extremely happy he again outscored him this week with 123

      Paul · 17/04/2016 at 16:26

Did you also start Papley ahead of him? haha

        Ethan017 · 17/04/2016 at 17:07

        Don't have Papley

uDonkey · 17/04/2016 at 15:38

I'll be content of the result for Ward to go big to cover the difference Grays projected score 🙂

Ethan017 · 17/04/2016 at 16:05

Happy with the 134 points from Ward

    Tophawk · 17/04/2016 at 17:14

Ward is a good boy. Ended up with 137 SC points. He keeps producing the goods. Very happy with my midfield POD.

      The Ranger · 17/04/2016 at 20:59

Nice pick Tophawk. Early days but Ward is looking good eh?

Kev · 17/04/2016 at 16:14

    hedski · 17/04/2016 at 16:40

Starting to feel that way Kev. Bloody Butcher.

      BundyBear · 17/04/2016 at 18:43

Traded Sam Gray in for Jarrad Waite. Dont do it they said. Bahahaha

Derek · 17/04/2016 at 16:38

Remember Griffin last year, went 100+ only every second week, when he played at home.

I think Greene has the same problem, only plays well on home games

Fev · 17/04/2016 at 16:41

Bryne, ruggles or Byrne-Jones to bring in next week? Leaning towards DBJ

    Leeds17 · 17/04/2016 at 20:31

Byrne-Jones looks the goods to me

stavros · 17/04/2016 at 16:45

what about LOBBE he plays a good one every other year doesn't he though thought he was good this week

    Derek · 17/04/2016 at 18:27

I think it might be leap years when he does well.

Ethan017 · 17/04/2016 at 17:06

Fyfe in for a big day 7 touches going at 100% and a goal so far

SC16 · 17/04/2016 at 17:08

ollie wines… is it time to go

    Steeeve · 17/04/2016 at 18:47

Wouldn't think so. He's been frustrating but surely your side has bigger problems. He still had good stats today when port got smashed. Just didn't translate to points.

    tuxCS · 17/04/2016 at 20:35

He'll come good mate, if i had the chance to go back i would've picked Parker or Ward but still, give him time and he'l reward you.

Ethan017 · 17/04/2016 at 17:09

6 touches so far from Oliver

Tophawk · 17/04/2016 at 17:18

What a round of carnage this has been. Injuries and spuds all over the place. I wouldn't be surprised if 2000-2100 will be par this week.

I reckon it is time for some serious trading after this round. Did not trade last week and still have 28 trades. Happy I stuck fat and not pulled the trade trigger last week.

Davonaise · 17/04/2016 at 17:41

Holy hell I seriously congratulate anyone who got x2 points of 120 or higher this week, what a joke

    Chill · 17/04/2016 at 20:54

Yep my top 3… Fyfe, hannebery and .. Wait for it… Suckling!!!

Nicholas · 17/04/2016 at 17:41

i need 203 from barlow and fyfe?

    Derek · 17/04/2016 at 18:23

Nicholas · 17/04/2016 at 17:43

Idk what to do I have Barlow, Jj, Wines, Papley, and Robby Gray who are all problems. Hopefully Gray does not miss a game.
And I have already used 25 trades my year might be over

    Cashcows · 17/04/2016 at 18:21

Your absolutely joking if one game makes you turn on Gray. Hold.
Wines also hold. He's getting enough of the ball, just scrappy with DE.

Papley needs to go but only if there's a good option, esp with 25 trades left.
JJ needs to go, long term injury.

    Barlow, in your situation, hold.

      Nicholas · 17/04/2016 at 18:42

Barlow might make 90 which is enough for me and Gray may get suspended lol that was why not cause of his score its to be expected a premo gets a bad game once in a while and gray had a few clangers and frees against.

    Derek · 17/04/2016 at 18:22

Did you get Bryne-Jones, or did you stick with Ruggles?

Fev · 17/04/2016 at 17:53

Time to get rid of De Goey???

    Southern S · 18/04/2016 at 00:03

    What's the proposed trade?

    Clarky · 18/04/2016 at 11:23

for a mid, he is scoring decently. He gets the contested ball so he shouldn't be one of yoiur first mids gone.

Tulendeena · 17/04/2016 at 17:55

Derek's dream is fulfilled

Byrne-Jones will be coming into a lot of teams

    Pjay · 17/04/2016 at 18:09

    ……….after his 2nd game.

      Mac · 17/04/2016 at 18:14

The 3rd game is when his price rises….

    Derek · 17/04/2016 at 18:20

Is it something I said? He'll be in mine. Good player.

Josh · 17/04/2016 at 17:55

Robinson round 1, rich and Rockliff round 2 and now jj round 4 with Gibson and pridis having a cup tea and a herbal bath instead of scoring
Me points.. Needless to say already thinking about who to trade in this week.

Would like to get the communities opinion on the top 5 players to have season end this year not including the rucks, as I want to trade in a keeper this week instead of another bench warmer

    Northernsoul74 · 17/04/2016 at 19:03

Hall if you don't have him.

Dean · 17/04/2016 at 18:07

At half time Wells is on 70 s/c points with 16 possessions at 78% and the Fyfe only 68 s/c points with 16 possessions at 81% and 2 what BS.

    Dean · 17/04/2016 at 18:09

and 2 goals for Fyfe at half time.

    Steeeve · 17/04/2016 at 18:48

Wells had 7 tackles at that point…

    Southern S · 18/04/2016 at 00:02

Holty · 17/04/2016 at 18:31

As Jock would say, 'this has been a horrible anus of a round for me.' Had Martin (concussed) had Smurf (ill), Papley on field, none of my premo's went huge. i will struggle to make 1900. very embarrassing.

    Derek · 17/04/2016 at 18:47

I am up against Jock in a head to head this week. Looks like he has me covered.

However I did notice his C was on a bloke called G Ablett!

      Nicholas · 17/04/2016 at 18:52

      Holty · 17/04/2016 at 19:24

bahahahaha. Couldnt resist. No wonder he scored poorer then normal. Jock has selected him.

      SCaddict · 17/04/2016 at 19:54

Seems an odd move especially when he belaboured the point on how sore Gaz looked in the last podcast.

I guess pressure can do that, even to the best of us.

How does it feel to be Lobbe free Derek? The healing process can now begin. 🙂

Poor ol' blicz had a shocker tho!!
He wasn't alone in the cats camp.

          SCaddict · 17/04/2016 at 20:55

Yeah that came out of nowhere. Blitz is usually pretty consistent. Just indicative of a horrendous round I guess.

Very lucky to eek out a 2074 with Stef and JJ playing a half of footy and AMT on the bench.

          Derek · 17/04/2016 at 20:58

good to be free. I can move on with the next chapter of my life. The Blitz didn't welcome me. Cats v Essendon I thought he would go big.

    Derek · 17/04/2016 at 19:29

your not alone. I had Paps and Davis on field instead of Menadue and Tippa. Throw in Wingard and BSmith, I'm under 2000

    Benjamima Puddleduck · 17/04/2016 at 19:55

    Right there with ya mate!
Bit of a shitty round for this puddleduck

BundyBear · 17/04/2016 at 18:41

Dont buy Waite they said. Too inconsitent and unreliable they said. Well I say . Eat humble pie.

    SC Shelia · 17/04/2016 at 19:12

Hear ya…..wanted to bring in Waite this week and didnt……so called experts have failed again …..I was told S. Gray is a keeper by a mustached man called Lekdog……S. Gray is far from a keeper and he said the same about Tmac was to? Its a wonder why I listen to theses guys they aren't helpful at all but maybe in mustache rides.

      SC Shelia · 17/04/2016 at 19:14

Not even sure the mustache rides would be that good?

        Kev · 17/04/2016 at 19:23

If you haven't got the guts to back yourself SC Shelia you've only got yourself to blame.

          Mac · 17/04/2016 at 19:28

Well said Kev, they give their opinions, you don't have to listen to it. Gotta be big enough and ugly enough to make your own decisions.

            Kev · 17/04/2016 at 19:36

Hope the person who asked today who to C out of Fyfe and RGray didn't listen to me!

Your advice is generally bullseyes tho Kev.

      ThatDamnRascal · 17/04/2016 at 20:11

Hope you don't gamble on what the TAB experts predict. You'd be homeless by now.

These blokes give advise, an opinion, a different point of view and it's up to yourself to make a choice with all the views laid out for you. SC scores aren't guaranteed there's a lot of research, gut feeling and a bit of luck.

    Winner · 17/04/2016 at 19:27

Points chasing the community said as they ridiculed my suggestion to bring in waite 2 weeks ago and re-blurted the novice rubbish put forward by LekDonkey. Well I chased them and I'm still catching them whilst those idiots are whingeing every week about how they're falling off the pace by 150pts p/week.

      Kim · 17/04/2016 at 21:10

He's going well so far mate, BUT will he still be in the top 6-8'fowards at the end on the season? My gut says he'll no, he will get suspended or injured and he will not kick 3-4 goals each week. North have played crap side and are beating them. Wait til, they actually play a decent side then we'l, see if Waite can still pull 100's or 60's. Key position forwards rarely ever finish in the top 6-8 forwards at the end of the year. So don't celebrate too early mate, there's still 19 rounds to go, very long season. We would hate to say "I told you so" later in the season, so I wouldn't be bragging just yet.

    Cashcows · 17/04/2016 at 19:37

I think there is a case for Waite if he can hold this form even with a bit of a dip.
He does have a soft run of games coming up I reckon, up until Sydney in R10. I expect him to score the same up until then.

Even if he drops off after and has the odd good game, with such a good run in from R1-10, he might come up trumps by the end of the season with 100+ avg.

Might watch him next week or catch a replay and see how he's being played. Disposals are up from last year.
33 years old(?) tho, but could be doing a boomer.

    Choppy · 17/04/2016 at 20:30

Its up to you whether you take people's advice on board or not. No need to be a a-hole about it. Id say you are a very inexperienced super coach, based on the fact you are crowing about waite after 4 rounds. Heres some advice – go back and look at a bit of historical data on waites average in past seasons, and how many games hes missed through injury. Im no expert, but id say he has been a bit inconsistent in the past. Welcome

Nicholas · 17/04/2016 at 19:06

My question community who is better Barlow or Green. I traded out green a few rounds ago and still have Barlow. Wondering if I made the right choice

    Cuunno · 17/04/2016 at 19:32

You made the trade and stick with it. I have Barlow also but never started with Greene and if I did start with Greene I would have still had him.

Stupid question to be honest, why ask this are you considering to trade Barlow to Greene next week just because Greene scored 30 points more then Barlow? I mean seriously, save trades FFS. .

      Nicholas · 17/04/2016 at 19:53

Lol not considering trading him just wondering who is better. In an ideal world i wouldnt want either haha

Nicholas · 17/04/2016 at 19:19

I got about 2050 this week which is about par I hope 🙁

Tophawk · 17/04/2016 at 19:26

Fyfe is life alright. He kept the Dockers in it all day. Not sure if Ben Jacobs went to him. If he did, he brushed him off like a fly.

Another bucket of SC points for the wolfman! At least there is one positive to come out of this round. It has been scheit.

Dean · 17/04/2016 at 19:27

Im on 2130 right now without scaling. Thats with Fyfe 138, Goldy 119 as Captain, Wells 95 and Barlow 82. Hopefully scaling goes up a little.

Had Papley on and I couldn't take AMT's score in my forward line which hurt, but im not wasting a trade to bring in a non player thats just stupid.

    Tophawk · 17/04/2016 at 19:30

Excellent score Dean. Well above par.

      Cashcows · 17/04/2016 at 19:40

2110 for me, curious on what par is with Fyfe being one of few premos to score captain standard points.

Personally I was able to grab AMT's score with the loophole, over papley which certainly helped.

        Dean · 17/04/2016 at 19:47

i wanted to put AMT in for papley but unfortunate I just couldn't otherwise I would have scored 2221 which is a massive difference compared to 2139 and will cost me at least 1000 plus positions overall.

          Cashcows · 17/04/2016 at 19:53

That would have shot you up the rankings! Still early in the season tho.
Was in the 60k~ R1 and now I'm hoping to move into 5k. A lot can happen, next week might be the week you get it right.

      Cuunno · 17/04/2016 at 19:40

cheers mate 2139 now after scaling unless scaling isn't completed.

    The Ranger · 17/04/2016 at 20:32

Another tough round, hard to get a pick on who's gonna be top 6/8 in any position.
2122 and the second week running I feel like I got away with one.

      Northernsoul74 · 17/04/2016 at 20:35

I agree, feel like just holding back on trades is the way to go until things become clearer.

SC Shelia · 17/04/2016 at 19:39

Well not sure theses guys claim the are pro's in AFL FF coaches, some one with a cheesy mustache so called Lekdog said S. Gray was a keeper and Tmac? Based on that I would say mustache rides from the bad calling Lekdog and Jock (Beached Walrus) are any better for mustache rides!

I agree Shelia. The other day i posted a question on here, wether to get Waite or not. Everyone said he was inconsistant and unsustainable. Shows you how much they know, There is no such thing as a football expert. Its called armchair experts. And yes I did get Waite.

            The Ranger · 17/04/2016 at 20:15

            Hey Bundy, Sheila,
            Wisdom can't be taught.
            Only learnt.
Therefore you need to take responsibility for your own scores.
No one forced you into any of the decisions you made.
Trade wisely and good luck for the rest of the ear.

            Southern S · 17/04/2016 at 22:13

If you felt in your gut to go with Waite then you lock him in.
Getting advice from others is good as you can take factors or angles you didn't think of into consideration.
You're talking as if Waite has played the whole year and is now proven to be a lock all year.
It's been 4 rounds calm down and come back and say I told you so later in the season when you haven't used 2 trades on him, and people like me are 'wrong'
Syllabus a long way to go you two are behaving as if the guys who contribute to the website owe you something……

Wow this is crazy, I thought this is meant to be a light hearted fun community….Get over yourself! Most of us here love the work and effort all the boys put into this site and think they all do a fantastic job… They are great entertainment but that's all they are and meant to be…Lighten up!

      Roger · 18/04/2016 at 01:38

The truth is at its all opinion based choices. They aren't magicians. They can't predict the future. They can only say what they think will happen. Sure, they get it right, but they also get it wrong. That's the game, you pick up good picks and bad picks. They can only tell you what's a good option, it doesn't mean you have to agree with it hence why jock, Higgo and crouching all have different opinions. I've picked players in the past that jock and co didn't mention as being a pick and they went on to be great selections. Yes, when you score bad, it annoys you but it happens. You have great scoring rounds, and the dud ones, gotta deal with it.

    wombatsfc · 18/04/2016 at 10:40

I think what shiela is saying is that a high % of contributors here do nothing but regurgitate popular myths and cliches and ridicule those who put forward original ideas and strategies.
Poor shiela made the terrible mistake of expecting wisdom and rationale and probably structured her team based on advice from people here who consider themselves experts, Sadly most of the 'experts' don't rate in the top 1,000.
I did not pick my team based on information from those who run this site as experience has shown that they are not any better than the old lady at the corner shop for supercoach advice.
But game winning advice has never been my reason for coming to this site, I come here because it makes me feel so much better about myself to learn how incompetent the general community is.

Theses guys help people to make better decisions and offer options. With their help you can stay in top 15/20% to get in the top 1 % requires luck. No one in the top 1 to 5 % is any smarter at this than in the top 10 to 15% . I've been in the top 100 and I'm only saying that before you can say 'what would you know?" . Luck not brains.

The whole SC scoring system is corrupt.

It is always brought up every year.

      SCaddict · 17/04/2016 at 20:07

It comes down to who the CD boys have in their own teams. 🙂

They must have JJ and Rance.

At least we don't have that bullsh1te scoring of the Bont that we had last season. That was an utter joke!

        Davonaise · 17/04/2016 at 20:55

      BC · 17/04/2016 at 22:54

Hey Mac – it is because the Doggies game was effectively over earlier and JJ scored his points when the game was alive. The Brisbane game was undecided to the end so less junk time and no need to scale up first half.

    Harry · 17/04/2016 at 20:57

I remember watching North v WC last year. Goldstein's score was going berserk based on absolutely nothing. He kept getting given hit outs to advantage when he wasn't even getting his hands on the ball. I've watched rucking contests really closely since then and I've never seen anything like it. As much as I love GAJ I feel he's often really lucky to get the score he does. The problem is it's so subjective. What's an effective kick? What's a hit out to advantage? If it goes to empty space yet your player runs onto it, is that 'to advantage'? I just don't know if it can ever be standardised but I have no doubt it's not a fair equation week to week

Phil · 17/04/2016 at 20:08

        Mac · 17/04/2016 at 21:10

So? He is likely to play?

        SCaddict · 17/04/2016 at 21:11

I have Martin too but let's wait for the full medical assessment first.

If he misses 1 I might still hold as he has actually been reasonable this season in a poor year for rucks and the Lions draw gets easier soon. Was actually on track for a handy score until he got wiped out.

Any longer than 1 or 2 and I'll be trading him of course.

Ye been getting hit pretty hard, traded in JJ 2 weeks ago and he gives me a 70 one week and a injury the next, seems to be the Sloane of last year.

Currenty ranked 8700th overall. Its ok ill move my way up 🙂

    hedski · 17/04/2016 at 22:19

Stinkin 1948 played smear over mills cost me 60 points. Ah well next week.

      Youngy · 18/04/2016 at 07:33

      Smear's Papey right?

        hedski · 18/04/2016 at 10:37

        Yeah mate. He's gone

Hayley · 17/04/2016 at 21:31

2107. Jumped into the top 100 (99th overall) even with Papley's terrible score and AMT on the pine.

    Derek · 17/04/2016 at 22:03

    Excellent work

Northernsoul74 · 17/04/2016 at 21:34

For those with JJ I'll be taking a good look at Biggs. Cemented himself in the Doggies back 6 and becomes a key player for them now. He won't get talked about but he's quietly going about his business.

tuxCS · 17/04/2016 at 21:35

So I've got 24 trades left and i am 100% happy with my team at the moment, no niggling doubts, as my premiums are all in good form (barring Wines, but he'll come good), and my rookies are all playing decently, and should all reach the 350K mark (or more if I'm lucky).

    Nicholas · 17/04/2016 at 21:46

Done your trades this week or not? And do you have Barlow, Papley or Greene?

      tuxCS · 17/04/2016 at 22:41

Yes I have done my trades this week, and no I haven't got any of them

    Derek · 17/04/2016 at 22:05

    Show us your team

      tuxCS · 17/04/2016 at 22:48

      R.Laird, K.Simpson, K.Kolodjashnij, M.Adams, J.Weitering, M.Dea. (M.Brown, D.Byrne-Jones)
      P.Dangerfield, G.Ablett, R.Gray, S.Pendelbury, T.Liberatore, O.Wines, S.Kerridge, C.Mills. (G.Hewett, J.Gresham, C.Petracca [please got a game soon son])
      M.Gawn, N.Naitanui (M.Chol)
      A.Hall, Z.Merrett, D.Wells, D.Zorko, B.Kennedy, AMT. (C.Menadue,L.McCarthy)

My two trades this week were:
Papley to D.Byrne-Jones (via AMT'S DPP swing)
      K.Lambert to Z.Merrett.
Kolodjashnij is one that shows promise and should end up averaging 95-100+.

        Derek · 17/04/2016 at 23:32

Are you chafing the car with Merret? Who else do you have on watchlist who may have fallen in price?

          tuxCS · 17/04/2016 at 23:37

Not chasing the car at all Derek, Lambert was a stepping stone, and merrett has proved to me that he will be a premium this year and that he can play when called upon. On the watch list I've got my eye on Shaw, Docherty, Ward, dahlhaus and when he comes back Bennell. Also hoping that montagna drops in price a bit and I can pick him up.

            Derek · 17/04/2016 at 23:55

I'll have a chance later in week to look at the prices and up coming games for my watchlist players, no one really standing out for me yet. Buddy caught my eye

            Southern S · 18/04/2016 at 00:08

Liking merret a lot I'm sold, probably get him in the next couple of weeks.

              phil · 18/04/2016 at 09:16

I traded in Merrett last week, dodged a bullet as it was him or JJ. Ive watched Essendons last 3 games and the kid can really play. I dont think its chasing the car at all, just a smart upgrade

                tuxCS · 18/04/2016 at 10:16

                I agree phil

Nicholas · 17/04/2016 at 21:40

Something like JJ and maybe Papley depending on breakeven and if he plays to Zorko and Jones from port will leave me at 23 trades… Injuries keep coming

Paulie Walnuts · 17/04/2016 at 21:41

Fork out $19.95 & get SC Gold

    Peter · 17/04/2016 at 21:46

Shut up Id1ot what's the point when you can get all the same info for free on footywire and other sites

      Peter · 17/04/2016 at 21:47

I'm sure there's good blokes out there who would put them up

tom · 17/04/2016 at 21:41

Thoughts on Suckling with JJ and Murphy gone?

    Holty · 17/04/2016 at 22:03

Suckling may need to pass a fitness test this week. Rolled his ankle during the game but had to go back on due to the injuries the bullies had.

bck2pp · 17/04/2016 at 21:51

I concur with The Ranger. Thanks Jock and the Comm. I ranked 164th,my highest ever. This is due in no small way to the input from u guys. I not always agree however knowledge and opinions on this site r gold.Cheers

    tuxCS · 17/04/2016 at 22:50

Hey mate, you're in my league and you honestly blew me away with your score this week, well done champ.

    The Ranger · 17/04/2016 at 23:52

164th is stupid good. Dead jealous.
Good luck for the rest of the year bc.

    Southern S · 18/04/2016 at 00:10

    Great work.

Wayno76 · 17/04/2016 at 22:03

I had a choice today between r gray m Gawn or n Fyfe for Capt. I went R gray … Spewn cause I had selected Fyfe earlier and changed my mind from advice I got from this site if I had stuck to my original choice I would have won all my league games … I still believe I have a better team than my league friends ( thanks to this site) but it goes to show how important your Capt pic is

    Wombatsfc · 17/04/2016 at 22:06

    shoulda woulda coulda

      The Ranger · 17/04/2016 at 22:15

      Now that's wisdom

    Southern S · 17/04/2016 at 22:28

Port are struggling and you pick gray on an away game against a highly competitive GWS.

    It was always risky.

thoughts on jarrad lyons? need a cash cow and hes gone 97 and 79 about to rise in price already 240k fwd mid edgibility

    Southern S · 17/04/2016 at 22:22

Made a risky move last week and traded him in for crouch. I rate him higher than young at port for example and he should have job security after being involved in two important wins

      SC16 · 17/04/2016 at 22:26

      cheers mate helps a lot

    Marco_Polo94 · 17/04/2016 at 22:41

I grabbed him last week. Was on like 25 at half time, finished with a great second half. Relatively happy

SC16 · 17/04/2016 at 22:12

also cockatoo, shit first score of 29 but rebounded with a 92, will he stay in the team and most importantly, make money?

    Southern S · 17/04/2016 at 22:24

Like him would've been a lock in my team if he want suspended round one

      SC16 · 17/04/2016 at 22:26

      cheers again

    Steeeve · 17/04/2016 at 22:25

Could not believe he stayed in the team whilst McCarthy was dropped. So who bloody knows???

      SC16 · 17/04/2016 at 22:27

hope he can hold a spot after he scored 92!

        hedski · 17/04/2016 at 22:31

Little abe scored similar last week. I think there's a spot for both of them

Boltons Blues · 17/04/2016 at 22:19

only dropped 21 spots overall, pretty happy to be sitting just outside the top 3k

considering Papley > Byrne Jones (via adams DPP) JJ > Rance/Docherty

    hedski · 17/04/2016 at 22:34

Going the same on the first.
    Both good calls mayb rance?
    Looks bloody good

    Southern S · 18/04/2016 at 00:11

    Solid plan. Liking Docherty personally.

hedski · 17/04/2016 at 22:23

Papschmeared =2 Dads BJ
BenKen = Thor Ward.
$101k left in kitty
Hhmm. Tempting. Did no trades last round.

    The Ranger · 17/04/2016 at 22:32

Hedski mate, you're reading like Crouching took you out for a long one.
    How'd you go this round?

      hedski · 17/04/2016 at 22:41

1948 ranger. Lost 60 points going paps over mills but can't win them all.
      Paps be @73
      BenKen be @63
      Thinking is –
      Paps to Byrne-Jones
      BenKen to Ward
      Will have $101k in kitty.
Did no trades last week woo hoo was tempted.
      Are they good trades?
I think so rest of rooks ok no major injury probs Gibbo should be back this week.
Have had quite a few sherbs

        The Ranger · 17/04/2016 at 22:52

No trades is good trades R3 – R6 I reckon Hedski but if you gotta do it then it's gotta make money.
        Mines a Merlot thanks.

        tuxCS · 17/04/2016 at 22:52

I like trading Ward in, however i think it might be a couple of rounds to early to be trading out BenKen. Just my opinion, however i didnt realise his BE was so high, why is that?

          poloko48 · 17/04/2016 at 22:54

I think cause his price was high to begin with mate.

          hedski · 17/04/2016 at 23:01

Yep was hoping for more from him but him and paps must go. Had ward last year and was hoping to get him a bit later but he's killin so I'm jumpin on. Should get a good 2-3 weeks outta remaining rooks now so sit tight (f*ck u scgods)

          Jake · 18/04/2016 at 10:07

3 round average is only 73.

ohhh,,, and Papley is also likely to be going.

    99 & 82 are ok I reckon. He'll get better

      tuxCS · 17/04/2016 at 22:57

He could be the POD of the year if he works out mate.

      Southern S · 18/04/2016 at 00:13

Yep I held him too. Think it's almost time to remove the spud from his name too out of respect 🙂

        Iamme · 18/04/2016 at 18:25

Not sure I quite agree with you there Southern S, considering we paid 500,000 plus, weren't we all expecting a 100 – 105 average for the season?….I know I was.

poloko48 · 17/04/2016 at 22:52

Double downgrade this week:

OUT Hartley IN DBJ
OUT MBrown IN Wagner

They are the two with the biggest BE so in they come, and Hartley & Brown won't make much more $$$.
Leaves me with $471.5K in the warchest.
Main targets in a few weeks will be RGray, Pendles, GAJ (although looks like he's playing sore?), Dusty and perhaps Blicavs so I can move Tippett back in the fwd line.

Current team after trades (25 left):

DEF: Laird, Adams (FWD), Shaw, Weitering, AMT, Ruggles (DBJ, Wagner)
MID: Ward, Hannebery, Fyfe, Libba, Wines, Priddis, Oliver, Davis (Mills, Menadue (FWD), Keays)
RUC: Goldy, Tippett (FWD) (King (FWD))
FWD: Hall (MID), Wells (MID), Buddy, Kerridge (MID), Kennedy (MID), Barlow (MID) (Paps, DRioli)

Am currently lagging behind in around 57K pos, but I $$$ generation is paramount right now.
Have run out of trades in previous years and want to hold off as long as I can to pick up some bargain fallen prems.
1,000 behind the lead right now with 19 rounds left = about 50pts per round to make up which is certainly possible.

By the way, totally disagree with previous disparaging comments about Jock and the lads – 99.9% of the regulars on this site love what you guys do, we can do without these gutless keyboard warriors, so if the peanuts concerned are reading this – bugger off, you're not wanted.

    Nicholas · 17/04/2016 at 23:22

Hartley has a BE of 2….. still a fair bit of cash left

    Dean · 17/04/2016 at 23:22

    papley has a B/E of 62, Kennedy has a B/E of 56, Menadue has a B/E of 34

    However Hartley has a B/E of 2 & M Brown has a B/E of 16

You wrote all that but didn't think of clicking the TRADE on PAPLEY, then clicking on the (S) on M Brown and then bring in DBJ
This will allow you to bring DBJ in for PAPLEY and then M Brown moves to your forward line and will still generate you more cash.

      hedski · 17/04/2016 at 23:32

Nicholas · 17/04/2016 at 22:59

I am giving Ben Ken another week as I have Papley and JJ

    Southern S · 18/04/2016 at 00:14

I refuse to believe ben ken is done yet. Hold low BE.

Fevolution · 17/04/2016 at 22:59

Is it worth trading out Menadue before his peak in order to bring in Merrett even though I'm bring in DBJ and he will make more cash next round then Menadue?

    Southern S · 18/04/2016 at 00:17

Got Papley to dump? The kid's done I fear.

Southern S · 17/04/2016 at 23:04

No rush trading out Ben Ken with a 56 be

    hedski · 17/04/2016 at 23:23

    I'll take ward over bk

      Southern S · 17/04/2016 at 23:45

Well of course but they are not equal value so that's not really a comparison, but more preferable move for your situation.

BK can easily hit his BE, and if he grabs 100 again he's back up and running.

Nicholas · 17/04/2016 at 23:07

Which forward or mid premos are our best options right now.

    Southern S · 18/04/2016 at 00:01

FWD Hall, Zorko, Merret, Wells, Dahl.

Of course there are others like Waite/Buddy etc but I'm not going to say lock them in at the moment.

Danger, Ablett, Fyfe, Ward, Parker, Hanne, Zaharakis, Neale – Others I wouldn't personally lock right at this second Gray, S + T Mitchell, Hanley, Pendlebury

Phil · 17/04/2016 at 23:18

I'm thinking it's too early to cull Kennedy and Papley. I see Papley as a 55-60 point scoring player so I think he's still good for another 60k, might just be a slow one. However I can no longer excuse Sheridan and Lonergan as they're scoring like rookies. So them 2 out for Rance & Byrne-Jones. I initially avoided Rance in my starting team because he came up against a few good forwards (Tex,Kennedy etc) early, but after smashing a 140 in a game which I thought he would play lock-down, has done it for me.

azza · 17/04/2016 at 23:53

guys thoughts on this trade:
Sgray – blics (who covers for stefan this week)
next week:
sheridan – rance (blics goes into mids) with 60k left over

    Southern S · 18/04/2016 at 00:16

Not bad, have to do the JJ trade to dbj. I'm doing the same.

Like the Sam Gray move out. Not 100% convinced on Blics but he's a great player.

Like the future plans but save some trades.

    Bomber56 · 18/04/2016 at 01:48

I might end up holding JJ for a week as I have other problems, number one is Martin and how many weeks he will be out and if Grimley will play this week.
But I have always liked blics and might use that one myself on Thursday night

    Wombatsfc · 18/04/2016 at 10:29

How are you switching Blic into the ruck to cover Martin when you bring him into the mids?

Iamme · 18/04/2016 at 00:13

Wow just got back from the Black Sabbath gig only to find carnage, I was expecting 2200 plus and only got 2084….can't believe with such a score I still won 9 of my ten leagues.

    Southern S · 18/04/2016 at 02:27

Funny week I won 7 of 9 with a 2037 and 850k in the warchest

Roger · 18/04/2016 at 00:59

Hey guys, just curious to anyone who can give me some advice going forward this week
Team is looking like this
Def : Shaw, Laird, Adams,Weitering, Dea, TIppa (Brown, Hartley)
Mid : Ablett, Fyfe, Dangerfield, Parker, Libba, Barlow, Kennedy, Pendlebury (Davis, McPherson, Petracca)
Rk : Martin, Gawn ( Cox )
Fwd : Hall, Wells, Franklin, Greene, Kerridge, Papley ( MCcarthy, Grimley)
180k in the bank.
Anyone have any advice on what to do ? Was thinking of

TIppa switched to forward, trade Papley for Byrne jones
Trade Barlow for Sam Mitchell, or trade Kennedy for a Zaharakis.
I was thinking of strengthening my defence but a lot the defence players are inconsistent at the moment
Any advice would be greatly appreciated (- :

    Southern S · 18/04/2016 at 02:26

Pap to Byrne and hold for a round

Ethan017 · 18/04/2016 at 09:08

What's everyone doing with JJ

    Liam · 18/04/2016 at 10:08

    trade to rookie

    Northernsoul74 · 18/04/2016 at 11:21

Depends how deep your def is. If JJ was your D4 id be tempted to downgrade to a rookie. If like me he was your D3 you need to upgrade if you can or replace with similarly priced player.

Travis · 18/04/2016 at 09:44

I think my team is good but bloody hell gray didn't do so gd pendles hasn't matched expectations treloar is barely better than pendles and Blicavs was doing well. They are all capable of greatness but feel they are hibernating for winter. Wtf do I do ? Do I ditch them only to have them find form the following week after trading them

    Marco_Polo94 · 18/04/2016 at 12:13

Hold matey, gotta stick fat with premium selections. First bad round for Blicavs and Gray, and while Treloar and Pendles haven't set the roof on fire they are still averaging 100+. Not worth the trades. Gotta ride the lows in this game

Liam · 18/04/2016 at 10:08

Byrne jones or ruggles??

    JamiesNinjas13 · 18/04/2016 at 11:13

DBJ because of he's higher breakeven

    Northernsoul74 · 18/04/2016 at 11:22

Decide who has the best job security. Possibly Byrne from Carlton.

SC God · 18/04/2016 at 10:26

How many trades does everyone have now including this weeks trades?

    Iamme · 18/04/2016 at 10:38

    Northernsoul74 · 18/04/2016 at 11:23

25 as got trade JJ out. Certainly used 2 more trades than I would have liked.

TySB · 18/04/2016 at 11:35

Any forward rookies to trade Papley too ?

I already have Petracca and Papley doesn't have dpp on SC.

Doc · 18/04/2016 at 11:52

Community, thoughts on the best forward to pick up now. Can afford anyone thanks to the JJ injury.

Current fwd line:
Zorko, hall, wells, benken, McCarthy, Milera, m.brown. (Trading Papley out).

Was thinking Zach merest or is there another premo?

    Marco_Polo94 · 18/04/2016 at 11:56

I'll be grabbing Dusty once he bottoms out, BE of 155

Marco_Polo94 · 18/04/2016 at 12:16

Even if Paps is named this round I'll probably trade to DBJ. Reckon Ruggles is worth bringing in too? Brown/Menadue/Kennedy would have to be my traded player and I don't like removing any of those guys who still have coin to make. So will stick to 1 trade this week. I've burned trades like crazy so far, but mostly just grabbing rookies on the bubble. Still on track according to my trading plan.
