Menadue 63 – do I take it? I can play either Hewett or Davis on field (have petracca to loop).

    Kev · 02/04/2016 at 07:55

    Give Hewett a run

      Annoying old lady · 02/04/2016 at 09:11

Second this – Menadue's 63 is probably the score you can expect from Hewett, so there's not really anything to lose by taking a gamble on him (maybe a loss of 10-20 points max, but a potential 10-30 point gain. Smart risk).

Kev · 02/04/2016 at 07:54

Dusty and Menadue last night, nice start. Dusty a lesson in keeping faith with your premiums

gator59 · 02/04/2016 at 08:20

OH NOOOO, Was just mucking around on trades for next week to see how the structure looked

and now it won't let me reverse the trades… HELP!!!!!

    discojim · 02/04/2016 at 08:27

    Poor b#astrd!
During rolling lockout your can't reverse. You could send @petejank a heart felt message on twitter? Other than that, just drink beer and hope the SC gods make your trades pay off.
Sorry to hear this mate – all the best.

      gator59 · 02/04/2016 at 08:38

Thanks discojim for the advice,, But don't have Twitter..

    JAYZ · 02/04/2016 at 09:23

If it makes you feel any better I done the same!!!
    Trade Milera for Ben Kennedy..

      tophawk · 02/04/2016 at 10:34

Good move. No need to reverse that trade in any case!

Swanny · 02/04/2016 at 08:57

Not taking pendles score, do i go with Danger, Fyfe, Gaz, Goldy?

Also should I take Menadues score or play Mccarthy or I can swing Kerridge forward using Petracca and play one of Davis, Gresham, Hewett.

So my question is, who to captain and who to play onfield?

    Mac · 02/04/2016 at 09:45

Don't think McCarthy has a high ceiling, I'd go Hewett against the blues and Danger as skip

    CaPtKaOs · 02/04/2016 at 09:55

I have similar issues and havent worked out the answers yet. Perth andy Brizzy are forecast to reach about 30 degrees. With the reduced rotations, l'm wondering if this will be a factor. Of the potential captains, I think Goldy in particular will have his endurance tested. But he has done it all before.

      CaPtKaOs · 02/04/2016 at 10:01

Sydney will be warm too. Danger is in red hot early season form. Hard to go past him as capt.

Andy · 02/04/2016 at 09:04

Surely I take Dustys 134 as captain loophole?

Cheers

    The Ranger · 02/04/2016 at 10:00

    Oooh…that's a tricksy one.
Generally I'd say anything above 130 should be taken but after only one game and with Fyfe, Danger and Ablett still to play…
Tough call Andy, if it was 140 I'd say you def take it!

    Average Joe · 02/04/2016 at 12:29

Take it, chances are that your other captain worthy players will mostly (If not all) score under 134

    SCaddict · 02/04/2016 at 12:46

Anything over 130 I'd just take the VC points and double them. Your proposed captain may be very well score in excess of that but he could also get injured or have a mare like Teen Wolf last weekend.

Annoying old lady · 02/04/2016 at 09:07

Had the VC on Dusty, and yes I'm taking his 134 x 2!

Last round had a bunch of players scoring more than 150 points, any of which would have made more than an extremely handy captain. In previous years, these types of large scores were not to be expected every week, but this year with the limited rotations, I get the feeling that the game's superstars are going to have much larger impacts on the game, especially in the last quarter. I think this year we are going to see more of those monstrous scores, however, I feel that this is not a reason to be greedy, and for me, Dusty's score is more than enough to bank those double points.

Saying that, what does the community feel is a worthy VC score to take?

    Crowmagnon · 02/04/2016 at 10:10

I take any VC score above the "would be" captain's average.

    Paulie Walnuts · 02/04/2016 at 10:28

IMO if your VC scores above 130 just bank it. I agree there will be higher scores of our Premo's but its a raffle picking which one to put the C on.You could take the gamble and it pays off but on the other hand he might get injured or have a poor score

And yes I did have the VC on Dusty, I couldn't put Petracca into my side with C on him it quick enough.

Xav · 02/04/2016 at 09:15

Do i take dusty or punt on gaz

JAYZ · 02/04/2016 at 09:25

Play hewett, Dunkley or Davis

Really leaning towards Dunkley but could be a bit biased…

Babo · 02/04/2016 at 09:50

What about Houli? Take his VC score?

Luke · 02/04/2016 at 10:22

Just Pendlebury last night. Feeling nervous with him in my team after his display on ball in the final quarter. Surely something wrong with him. Looked ok racking up cheap possessions at half back, but should be in the guys.

    Luke · 02/04/2016 at 10:27

    Lol. Guts*

    Steeeve · 02/04/2016 at 18:55

    Played with bruised ribs

BigHaydos · 02/04/2016 at 10:25

Taking a punt with Goldstein as captain. my only loophole option was wyatt and collingwood played last night.

Goldy should do me well, averaged 140 last year against north.

    Sana · 02/04/2016 at 12:26

Don't think he played against north last year?

      SCaddict · 02/04/2016 at 12:56

He did but intra-clubs don't really count. πŸ™‚

    Steeeve · 02/04/2016 at 18:57

Needs a big last quarter for ya

CapTnKaOs · 02/04/2016 at 10:37

Got a dilemma here. Only two playing slots available in my mid for rookies. I have no loophole options.
Currently have Oliver and Kennedy on the ground who are playing the Essendon seconds. Mills on the bench (who is playing Carlton).
My gut tells me I need Mills on the field. Any thoughts?

    tophawk · 02/04/2016 at 10:54

Interesting one. Well B.Kennedy has to start on the field so it will be between Oliver and Mills for that final spot. And that choice is friggin tough!!! Sydney are playing Carlton in Melbourne. So Carlton will put up a fight. Will Mills struggle a bit away from home at Etihad? Then, you have Oliver who is playing the hapless bombers today at home on the G. On these facts Oliver would get the nod for me to start on field. The odds are stacked in Oliver's favour to post a 90 + today. I doubt Mills will quite get that this round. Just my take though!!

      CapTnKaOs · 02/04/2016 at 11:45

Thx tophawk. I like your line of thought.

goran · 02/04/2016 at 10:53

Who's the best Captain choice: Goldy, Ablett, Priddis or Hanners?
Feel like Goldy is the safest pick but really not too sure

    tophawk · 02/04/2016 at 11:01

Goldy is normally a pretty solid bet. Who is your other ruckman? If its Gawn, I would go to him as the Dees are playing a virtually ruckless bombers. Gawn could nail 10-15 hit outs to advantage and that equals serious points. Goldy does have tough opposition in Stefan Martin when he plays up at the Gabba. Just keep that in mind. I assusme you do not have danger or Fyfe. One of those will be my captain this round. But if you are panicking a bit, just whack it on Gazza. In Gazza we trust!! Cheers

      goran · 02/04/2016 at 11:34

      It is Gawn

      goran · 02/04/2016 at 11:35

      thanks mate

goran · 02/04/2016 at 10:55

Should I start with Mitch Brown (ESS) or Tippa?

    Will · 02/04/2016 at 11:32

    Toss a coin brother

Ben · 02/04/2016 at 10:56

Who's more of a must have…. Mills or Weitering?
I have mills but With 160k to spare I could go;

Mills –> Libba
Seedsman –> JJ
Seedsman –> Weitering + 300k for next week

    tophawk · 02/04/2016 at 11:10

Seedsman to Weitering without doubt. You dont trade out a rookie (Mills) so early in the season. And you dont chase points upgrading Seedsman. IMO, the best thing to do so early in the season is to trade in players that will generate you the most cash. You will be rewarded with lots of points later in the season when you trade out those cash cow rookies for premo upgrades.
    Cheers

      SCaddict · 02/04/2016 at 12:58

      Excellent advice tophawk!

        Ben · 02/04/2016 at 13:26

        Done
        Steele to benken
        Seedsman to Weitering

robby snow · 02/04/2016 at 10:58

What do we do with jack steele? Is it safe to downgrade him to a guy like Daniel Wells, or do we hold and hope he gets a recall next week?

    Ben · 02/04/2016 at 11:08

    Wells or Kennedy

    Kev · 02/04/2016 at 13:22

I'd hold, prices aren't going anywhere. Steele is too good to be running around in the twos

hedski · 02/04/2016 at 11:22

Gresham Davis or McCarthy or take Menadues 63? Thinking Gresh

    tophawk · 02/04/2016 at 11:25

Yeah. I agree. Give Gresham a run. Good young player. Will only get better.

Worth the risk as 63 is a pretty lame score in any case.

      hedski · 02/04/2016 at 12:12

      Cheers tophawk

        hedski · 02/04/2016 at 22:41

Hhmm that worked. Bloody gresham shit

Trav · 02/04/2016 at 11:34

what are people's thoughts on Pendlebury and Treloar. Pendles hasn't been hitting the scores I would like and Treloar was better last week. Am getting concerned they wont be able to get the scores they should be getting consistently (110 or more). Should I have faith or consider other options?

    CapTnKaOs · 02/04/2016 at 12:03

I look at it this way. Pendles got 110 pts last night playing sore. Lets say it takes 4 weeks to work through it and get back to "normal". During this time he still averages, say 100. Is it worth burning a trade for someone who MIGHT snag you an extra 25 points for 4 weeks? And then later on, you will need to burn another trade if you want him back for the pointy end of the season.
I think Treloar should improve as the year goes on and he settles into Collingwood. I think there could be safer choices at a similar price, but its to early to consider trading him out. Stick by your initial plans for now.

      Brook · 02/04/2016 at 12:39

I had him and traded him out last night before the game for GAJ. I know its a risky move but he averages 10-15 points less witbout Swan in the team and reportedley has sore ribs. I was cursing the move at 1/4 time but I am hoping the trade will net me 70-100 extra points over the next eight weeks and I hope to get him back in at around 550k in R9 or 10. Just cant see Ablett getting that cheap. Wont know if its a good move for a few weeks but hoping it works out.

        Kev · 02/04/2016 at 13:20

110 with 20/26 uncontested and zero clearances. Spewing I don't have him. Rarely does he miss a target by foot.

Sat out most of the last when the game was tight so his score had the potential to get higher.

Luke · 02/04/2016 at 11:51

Gawn Or Ablett VC into Dangerfield C?

    hedski · 02/04/2016 at 12:13

Gawn to danger in my side luke think gawn will go massive

      Luke · 02/04/2016 at 12:38

Me too. 150 against the bombers last year with 58 hit outs. Here's hoping for similar today.

mick · 02/04/2016 at 12:10

de goeing out of my side next week

Scooter · 02/04/2016 at 12:28

Trade mitch robinson ? Or trade to the likes of aaron hall ? Help appreciated

Alex · 02/04/2016 at 12:54

344 after 4 McCaffers 37 was hard to swallow. I have a conundrum community. Next week I will be getting rid of McCaffer for Oliver or Mills. I may also need to ditch Reiwoldt for Hall or/and McGovern got Papley so is it worth Going McGovern to Papley this week to ensure I can make the other trades next week or wait and see how round pans out for Mcgovern and N Roo. Thanks community.

    SCaddict · 02/04/2016 at 13:09

Yes Caff is unlikely to prove a decent enough cow so either go up to whoever performs best this weekend out of Oliver/Mills/Parish/Crowley if you have the cash or down to a Dunkley/Hewett if you don't.

I'd give McGovern another week just in case he bobs up in the Showdown. As nice as Paps score was last weekend the Rd2 rookie scores are double the importance of the Rd1 ones as they will affect pricing for two weeks and not just one.

      BCHawks · 02/04/2016 at 13:11

Did you trade out Pendles SCaddict?

        SCaddict · 02/04/2016 at 13:17

You noticed from the total team scores hey! Well aren't we an observant one BCHawks. πŸ™‚

Yes in comes one Robbie Gray.

          BCHawks · 02/04/2016 at 13:19

          What was your reasoning?

      Alex · 02/04/2016 at 13:15

What do I do if Papley scores well and Roo doesn't I only have two trades. Cheers addict.

        SCaddict · 02/04/2016 at 13:22

It depends on how well Papley scores and NRoo doesn't. You could even consider going NRoo down to Paps to generate cash for future upgrades.

But what happens if McGovern scores ok, Papley doesn't and he is dropped next week to make way for McGlynn?
At least you'd be up a trade if you kept McGovern. So there are risks either way.

Luviboy1 · 02/04/2016 at 13:18

Had VC on Pendles last night. Not too happy with his score. Gawn looks good to go big against Essendon. How do we think Gaz will go? Also considering Robbie Gray in the Adelaide derby.

Youngy · 02/04/2016 at 13:31

Mills, Hewett or Davis on field???

Shinboner · 02/04/2016 at 13:42

I started with Goldy and Nic Nat in the rucks, I like the lack of competition Nic Nat will have this week in the ruck dept. thoughts on him as captain compared to Goldy who will be up against Stevan?

    Luviboy1 · 02/04/2016 at 13:45

Agree. Im taking Gawn vs Essendon over Goldy. Think Nic Nat will also dominate somewhat tomorrow. Stefan v Goldy will be a good battle but I do think it will affect his scoring.

      Kev · 02/04/2016 at 14:37

Goldy scored 154 and 127 against the Lions last year.

        Luviboy1 · 02/04/2016 at 16:27

Bloody hell. Guess its hard to keep a goood ruck down. Disregard what I said than haha

    Shinboner · 02/04/2016 at 16:09

Thanks for the input fellas. It's a bit of a coin toss really. Hope your teams are scoring well boys… So long for now

      Russ · 03/04/2016 at 01:23

McEvoy and Ceglar arent exactly, a lack of competition, Nicnat is a freak though.

tophawk · 02/04/2016 at 14:20

Rory Laird and the crows on fire early in the showdown. 43 SC points at quarter time. Great start….keep going! Crows lead by 32. (40-8)

uDonkey · 02/04/2016 at 15:15

If B Crouch doesn't fire up in the 2nd half. Would it wise to cull him and get Libba after Round 2, i have the cash to do it. I'm just concern if Libba goes big this week it's gonna be hard to get him at cheap price he is on at moment.

    Kev · 02/04/2016 at 16:21

Trading one midpricer to another? Nah. Crouch will be better for the run each week

      Northernsoul74 · 02/04/2016 at 16:30

If Libba goes well again tonight he's becomes a must have.

      uDonkey · 02/04/2016 at 16:36

Fair point, i see Libba to be more of a keeper at M7-M8 and has much a higher ceiling than B Crouch. If Libba tons up tonight his price will shoot over 400K. On top of that he's fallen premium who is under price unlike B Crouch who has to be proven premo.

      Shinboner · 03/04/2016 at 00:22

Libby is a fallen premo tho, so the trade has some merit. I would say yes. I started with lib a instead of crouch for that reason.
Too much speculation on wether or not crouch would dominate, whereas you know Libba will

    WELCOME · 02/04/2016 at 17:05

If Libba scores 100+ then trade Crouch and get Libba into your side PERIOD

CapTnKaOs · 02/04/2016 at 15:21

Was trying to choose between Polec, B.Crouch and Libba for my midfield midpricer before the season. Thank Gaz Snr that I drew a line through Polec.

Derek · 02/04/2016 at 16:45

Dammmm looks like Chad out for a few

    uDonkey · 02/04/2016 at 16:51

πŸ™ I'm thinking the same derek, pulled a hammie. Depending how long he'll be out i might hold on to him. I'll swing B.Kennedy or Menadue up forward for cover.

Derek · 02/04/2016 at 16:52

Rick might not get a touch today. Getting a close tag and doesn't look like getting near it

    Derek · 02/04/2016 at 17:04

    Rich

      Derek · 02/04/2016 at 17:19

      3 pts at quarter time

        Derek · 02/04/2016 at 18:09

        2 touches to half time

          BigHaydos · 02/04/2016 at 19:20

He should have taken Jacobs to full forward and seen how Jacobs likes playing fullback. Would have been a good target up forward, push walker to the wing and put Taylor in the midfield

hedski · 02/04/2016 at 16:57

And the top ups win!!

    Youngy · 02/04/2016 at 21:04

Don't think anyone would have picked that upset

      hedski · 02/04/2016 at 22:42

      Can't say I did youngy

WELCOME · 02/04/2016 at 17:02

What the hell looks like Brown doing most of the ruck for North and Rocky up forward. AMAZING

Dave · 02/04/2016 at 17:08

Do i take grays 129 as my captain or roll the dice with ablett, selwood or nicnat?

    uDonkey · 02/04/2016 at 17:12

Asking the same question myself, Though i Danger as C what are the chance he'll way less than 129. Good thing we still have until tomorrow to decide.

    Holty · 02/04/2016 at 17:49

dont even ask that question. if you are smart you take it. Yes Danger might score you slightly more but is it worth the risk? He could do a hammy in the first quarter. you never know. 129 is a great score. take it.

    Luviboy1 · 02/04/2016 at 17:50

Bloody take it. I have to settle with Gawn as my Captain score this week #fmsc

Michael · 02/04/2016 at 17:14

Dea and AMT on bench πŸ™ At least they'll make good money

Jim · 02/04/2016 at 17:17

Brad crouch to Ben kennedy seems the fo for next week. Agree?

    Jim · 02/04/2016 at 17:17

    Go*

    uDonkey · 02/04/2016 at 17:21

I would if didn't have B. Kennedy and gives you a chance to upgrade any mid-pricer you have under performing to a premo.

    Kev · 02/04/2016 at 18:39

Any other way to get BK in? Crouch has been fine so far. He had little preseason and will get better. Be patient with him

uDonkey · 02/04/2016 at 17:17

S. Martin 51 points already and it's only 2nd quarter. Hope he keeps it up.

    uDonkey · 02/04/2016 at 17:44

Damn Zorko is on fire 94 point on half time. Definitely will be in my watch list or might have to do a sideway trade if Wingard will be out for 3 weeks or more.

Michael · 02/04/2016 at 17:31

Davis or Gresham or Dunkley who to play ??

    WELCOME · 02/04/2016 at 18:11

Dunkley out of those three. Bevo really likes this kid.

The_Black_Mamba · 02/04/2016 at 17:36

Rockliff is the first player traded out of my bloody team next week.

    Scyb · 02/04/2016 at 17:44

I am thinking the same. Somehow need to get R.Gray in

    Westy · 02/04/2016 at 18:20

    Why? Haven't seen the game.

      BantheCheats · 02/04/2016 at 18:26

Below 50SC points at 3qrtr time

    CapTnKaOs · 02/04/2016 at 18:41

Already counting the cash to see how I can get from him to Ablett.

CarlaShirley · 02/04/2016 at 18:00

Hmm this is a round from hell so far almost all the popular picks are yo-yo's.

    Youngy · 02/04/2016 at 21:15

    Yep

Nicholas · 02/04/2016 at 18:03

Stuck with rich and rocky what a disaster. Also mills or hewett on field?

    uDonkey · 02/04/2016 at 18:08

That's a bit harsh on Rich i bet you weren't complaining when he scored 104 last week. This week was to be expected he'll have an ordinary week since Zorko is back in the side.

      Kev · 02/04/2016 at 18:34

It was also highlighted preseason that Rich goes to water as soon as he gets some attention.

      Mills on field

        Dee · 02/04/2016 at 18:48

I'm in the same boat mate..… is Rockliff to Gray or Martin sensible next week? Rich to JJ or Laird? Rich looks bloody lost.…..

Nicholas · 02/04/2016 at 18:08

Thinking about getting rid of greene now might have problems with b crouch rich and rocky thoughts?

Alex · 02/04/2016 at 18:11

Ablett or Danger for Captain

    Cashcows · 02/04/2016 at 18:40

I'm by no means an expert but I think I'd go with Danger v GWS.

Gaz v freo who have something to prove might affect his scoring. But contested possies are great for scoring so I'm not too sure.

But danger looks like the safer option. Unless we get a lopsided sharing of points every week between danger and jelwood.

JimtheInjector · 02/04/2016 at 18:23

Rich is following his usual SC form, 100 one week and then 50 the next. good thing nobody has him

    BigHaydos · 02/04/2016 at 18:24

He is being tagged……. What do you expect

      Holty · 02/04/2016 at 18:39

lol love it. there has been a few in the community who have said dont select him because he cant handle the tag. and with Beams out Rich is the likely one to cop that tag.

        BigHaydos · 02/04/2016 at 18:54

        Exactly

    Youngy · 02/04/2016 at 21:14

    "good thing nobody has him"

    I have him……… CRAP!

Holty · 02/04/2016 at 18:24

not watching the game but is Rocky playing forward or just playing ssshhhhhhhh………. rubbish

    Youngy · 02/04/2016 at 21:11

    Calf injury I think…..

      Holty · 02/04/2016 at 22:27

      cheers bud

BigHaydos · 02/04/2016 at 18:25

Would love to know how goldy has only got 9 points this quarter what a joke.

Michael · 02/04/2016 at 18:32

Reckon Wells will be a top 6 forward this year

    Holty · 02/04/2016 at 18:36

if he stays fit he will be.

    Youngy · 02/04/2016 at 22:15

Don't expect him to be scoring 120's every week.

I reckon top 6 is pushing it.

uDonkey · 02/04/2016 at 18:38

What are the chance of S Martin challenging the no#1 spot in Ruck considering he did ok against Nic-Nat last and doing ok again against Goldy this week. After this round who's gonna out score him maybe Gawn? Jacobs? Don't see anyone else.

    BigHaydos · 02/04/2016 at 18:40

He didn't do well against nicnat in terms of 1on1 against him. He picked up plenty of pill and used it well. I think stef will be amazing this year though

    Holty · 02/04/2016 at 18:44

agree with haydos. i have him based on the fact his great around the ground. He will not out ruck big opposition but believe he will be top 3.

    Shinboner · 03/04/2016 at 00:26

It's too early to call. I think Nic Nat looks good around the ground this year tho. My money would be on him

Harry · 02/04/2016 at 18:46

Took 1 and a half rounds to cop injuries. Wingard and Rockliff already!

    tophawk · 02/04/2016 at 18:55

Rocky definately injured also? What is wrong with Wingard?

      Harry · 02/04/2016 at 19:02

      Rocky calf, Wingard hammy

      Kimmyd · 02/04/2016 at 19:03

Hamstring I think for wingers, fortunately I do not have him as I have rocky and he's gone for a few weeks I think.

    Luviboy1 · 02/04/2016 at 19:31

Have both. Carnage has begun. Losing all hope for my season atm.

      Youngy · 02/04/2016 at 21:10

Ye it feels bad first I go to friday nights game and see the tigers lose by a bloody point, now this.

      Carnage absolute Carnage!

tophawk · 02/04/2016 at 18:49

WTF!!! Rockliff is playing an absolute shocker. Surely there must be something up with him. But this has thrown the cat amongst the pidgeons. Will need to seriously assess whether he remains in my team. His performance today is very worrying and his price is set to drop after round 3. Hopefully Goldy will now drop after today's effort. Will hopefully grab him at a more reasonable price.

Connor · 02/04/2016 at 18:50

Haven't been watching the game at all but would someone please tell me what is going on with Rockliff? Is he injured, playing full forward, being tagged, or just having a poor game. I almost want him to be injured as I then have an excuse to trade him!

    Kimmyd · 02/04/2016 at 19:01

He is injured hasn't played at all in final quarter, calf injury. I was going to trade him out as he's played majority of the game in the forward line, but now he's injured it's a no brainer.

Tulendeena · 02/04/2016 at 19:00

From what I'm seeing, Rocky > Zorko next week

Zorko will be a top 6 forward, and something seems wrong with rocky

    Kev · 02/04/2016 at 19:13

    Calf problem

      Youngy · 02/04/2016 at 21:08

      Rocky has a calf problem?

Kram · 02/04/2016 at 19:09

No comments on Parker as a captain option so far against carton. SMOKEEE or smokey or out of calculations (OOC)?

    Bells E Bubb · 02/04/2016 at 20:17

He'll get you a 115 at a min I'd say. Who knows after that though. Can go 150 on any given day. Carlton will put up more of a fight then the pies did you'd think. Hard to go past Danger after last week.

    Youngy · 02/04/2016 at 21:09

Wouldn't put it on Parker when u can put in on Danger or Fyfe

uDonkey · 02/04/2016 at 19:20

I'm in a bit of a dilemma this week. Wingard strain hammy Rocky and Rich called it a day on the 4th quarter apparently carrying an injury. Looks like i have to hold on to B. Crouch a bit longer. The fear i had with Rocky having to burn a trade early like last year, should've stayed with Priddis. Smh

Nicholas · 02/04/2016 at 19:28

Went greene to jj hope i dont regret it. Couldnt risk it alrdy needed to trade out rocky next week might need a corrective trade for rookies and idk if i want to keep rich also the possibility of more injuries this round

    Youngy · 02/04/2016 at 22:13

    First round trade….. Risky…..

Treaty · 02/04/2016 at 19:29

Fyfe or danger captain?

    tophawk · 02/04/2016 at 19:37

I am whacking the VC on Fyfe (Loopholeable) and the C on Danger.

      Pap Smear · 02/04/2016 at 20:13

LOL go danger hes is a sure bet …..like holding pocket aces!

Luke · 02/04/2016 at 19:45

Last week I had priddis, NicNat and danger to paper over the cracks. Here's hoping they can do it again!
Really want to get Parker and Zack merrett in my team. Rockliffs injury means I can get it done, and get rid of spudhead greene!

Bells E Bubb · 02/04/2016 at 20:14

Aaaarrhhhh! FFS I forgot to take the C of Loersch and am stuck with Fyfe as VC! He'll spud it up again no doubt while Danger who I was supposed to pick will prob knock out 180.
What happened to Rocky!?
Was traveling fairly well until…

    Holty · 02/04/2016 at 20:58

what are you complaining about? He is on 78 at half time.

    Hawks · 02/04/2016 at 22:59

    You got so lucky

    DadSmasher · 02/04/2016 at 23:03

Hahaha You had a tantrum for nothing mate, obviously Jesus loves you

      Bells E Bubb · 02/04/2016 at 23:55

I take it all back, but when I posted he was on about ten handballs to one kick. I think it was just panic on my part as for one sinking minute I thought I'd left the VC on Rocky.
      LOVE you Nate.

        Noigerbour · 03/04/2016 at 10:50

        Toss

Bells E Bubb · 02/04/2016 at 20:22

Has Nate Fyfe got a sore foot or has he forgotten you are allowed to kick the ball in AFL!?
Thinking of going Rocky to a rookie and B Crouch up to Ablett next week.

    BigHaydos · 02/04/2016 at 20:36

    Fyfe is Doing fine dude

    Kev · 02/04/2016 at 20:39

He's fine. On 65 and it's not half time yet.

      Youngy · 02/04/2016 at 21:07

Think that's a bit better than fine.

Tulendeena · 02/04/2016 at 20:57

I want to stick with my guns, but Barlow is making that extremely difficult…..

Iamme · 02/04/2016 at 21:06

Fyfe is 78 at half time and doing fine…but Barlow is facing the flick from my team, if he don't pull his finger out in the second half. think I will be investing in Marcus Adams next week 73 half time and good old reliable Libba (who I do have) on 71

    tophawk · 02/04/2016 at 21:19

Marcus Adams is a find alright. Got him in my team and am very pleased. I have Barlow and he is fast turning into a "Burnman". Luckily we can still pi-ss him off before his price craters. I have Libba and he is as solid as a rock. Looking fantastic.

Youngy · 02/04/2016 at 21:06

Rockliff and Rich? what happened I didn't see the game?!

Did anyone watch it?

    tophawk · 02/04/2016 at 21:12

Rockliff injured with a calf complaint. Is likely to miss games. Rich just spudded. Inconsistent prat.

      Youngy · 02/04/2016 at 22:02

Rockliff traded out next week then, kinda have to stick which Rich…. Wish I went with JJ

      Derek · 02/04/2016 at 22:16

Rich got a very close tag. He'll be ok

        Youngy · 03/04/2016 at 11:47

A score like that takes a real hit to your team especially when not many people have Rich.

Iamme · 02/04/2016 at 21:14

They F#%*ed me that's what happened…Rockcliff did a calf, not sure about Rich

Connor · 02/04/2016 at 21:15

Where is M. Barlow playing?

    Kev · 02/04/2016 at 21:20

Bit too much forward. Put him in the guts Ross!

      Youngy · 02/04/2016 at 22:03

      Yes please in the guts.

But I guess if everyone has him it doesn't really matter, then we all get the hit.

BloodyFranklin · 02/04/2016 at 21:17

Spewing I got stuck with KK instead of JJ right now πŸ™

    Youngy · 02/04/2016 at 22:08

    I chose Rich πŸ™

      BloodyFranklin · 02/04/2016 at 22:12

      Jumpin on the JJ bandwagon?

Iamme · 02/04/2016 at 21:25

Yeah JJ seams like the real deal…..I'm thinking I will off Seedsman for him next week.

Holty · 02/04/2016 at 21:32

come on Gaz. Get to 110 and ill be happy with the captain choice. Had Goldy with the vc.

    Scyb · 02/04/2016 at 22:21

Do not ever doubt the almighty one

tophawk · 02/04/2016 at 21:48

Johanissen will find a way into my side next week at 418K. At that price, he is now also a cash cow as well as a point scoring machine. Brilliant back up performance tonight.

    Youngy · 02/04/2016 at 22:06

Yep, annoyed I didn't start with him.

thought he was going to spud it up big time, he still might in the next few weeks, but looking in unbelievable form.

Would you hold Rich tophawk? or trade him to JJ.

Thinking Ill just have to hold and maybe snag JJ up later.

Connor · 02/04/2016 at 21:56

Ablett being tagged? Can't watch the game as I don't have foxtel. Or is he just having a poor (disposal) game?

    Scyb · 02/04/2016 at 22:21

The ball not going to him at stoppages like it usually does.

    hedski · 02/04/2016 at 23:22

Mate download afllive app costs 50c a day ($15 a month) and watch games not on free to air on ur phone/tablet uses bugger all data

      hedski · 02/04/2016 at 23:23

App free subscription costs. Get alot of info off it

siri · 02/04/2016 at 22:06

Fyfe is life

Youngy · 02/04/2016 at 22:11

It's going to be so hard to stick with your premos after this round. I will obviously have to get rid of rockliff but barlow and rich IDK

    siri · 02/04/2016 at 22:15

I got rocky in for sidebum……. this is soooo painful

      hedski · 02/04/2016 at 23:24

Ouch siri. I grabbed libba for the bum. πŸ™‚

    Derek · 02/04/2016 at 22:23

They all seem to be carrying an injury. Pendlebury, Rocky, Wingard. Going to be a tough week

    Kev · 02/04/2016 at 22:31

Barlow is the bigger worry, not playing the role we hoped. Rich won't lose cash this week after his 100 in round 1

siri · 02/04/2016 at 22:19

Barlow bang bang

DadSmasher · 02/04/2016 at 22:20

Adams 135! I hope we all had him onfield this week

    uDonkey · 02/04/2016 at 22:41

Unfortunately i took tipungwuti score of 84 and ruggles on field so missed out on Adams 135.

    SCaddict · 02/04/2016 at 22:46

Yes had him on field in all 3 teams. One of the few things that has gone right in a round chock full of burnmen everywhere you look.

      DadSmasher · 02/04/2016 at 22:52

All 3 teams? Doesn't that disqualify you from winning any of the prizes? The TandC say one team only. Genuine question because I might create a couple of teams at the byes to try and get the round cash

        SCaddict · 02/04/2016 at 23:15

All 3 teams as in Supercoach, RealDreamTeam and AFL Fantasy.

I usually only discuss Supercoach as let's face it – it's the superior code.

          DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 00:44

          Ahh now I get it.

          BigHaydos · 03/04/2016 at 07:36

So I got Sam gray. Hahahahahaha cheers mate!

          Nah he will come good

            SCaddict · 03/04/2016 at 09:35

Wish I could've predicted a Port Showdown flogging. I had him spudding him up two my sides too.

Hopefully he shows his worth next week against the Dons.

              Youngy · 03/04/2016 at 11:51

How do u find the time to put that much effort into 3 teams, as well as your contributions to the comment sections.

              Ridiculous….

I can hardly keep up with 1 team.

Derek · 02/04/2016 at 22:20

Lucky I didn't trade Dawson in this week. Only 18SC pts.

He might drop in price

    SCaddict · 02/04/2016 at 22:28

Is the Lobbe experiment over Derek or does the Bunnies have other priorities after this weekend?

Addicts has Rocky and Burnman Barlow to deal with next week.

      gator59 · 02/04/2016 at 22:36

I'm glad that when i was mucking around with my side this morning, Rocky and Barlow was the ones i acidently traded out!!

        SCaddict · 02/04/2016 at 22:39

Fortune has smiled on you today gator. Who did you trade in mate?

          gator59 · 02/04/2016 at 23:20

          Hanners and Stringer

      Derek · 02/04/2016 at 23:27

Port have got Essendon at Home next week. I'll hold Lobbe for that at lest.

At least with Rocky and Barlow is that most people have them

Steeeve · 02/04/2016 at 22:28

I'll wait and see how bad the injuries are but I've got Chad Wingard and Rocky. If both out for a fair while I'm thinking of swinging Marcus Adams forward and going Wingard to JJ, love his game. That'll give me the coin to upgrade Rocky to someone far less injury prone.

Glad I'm happy with my rookies (touch wood). So important to get them right.

    SCaddict · 02/04/2016 at 22:33

Yes that's looking a very attractive proposition, also for those who have had a gutful of Burnman Barlow. Talk about sucking in the fantasy world. What a Feb Flyer!

Eagles next on the menu too so I shudder to think how Low can the Bar go – that's if Rossy doesn't already drop him for us.

    Harry · 02/04/2016 at 23:03

Port Adelaide website says Wingard is ok. I'm trading Rocky but holding Wingard

      Steeeve · 03/04/2016 at 11:36

      Trade Rocky and Barlow instead??

DadSmasher · 02/04/2016 at 22:31

Rocky and Barlow you are sacked. Zorko and Priddis welcome to the LabRats

    uDonkey · 02/04/2016 at 22:35

I think i might be doing the same Zorko and Parker/Priddis. Rocky and Barlow out.

      DadSmasher · 02/04/2016 at 22:45

Yeah Parker might get the job before Priddis particularly if he goes 110 or more tomorrow.

    tophawk · 02/04/2016 at 22:39

Barlow has been given the sack. Rocky is on workers comp. Both liabilities.

    Hawks · 02/04/2016 at 22:48

Agreed, will be Rocky & Barlow to Ablett & Zorko for me.

      tophawk · 02/04/2016 at 23:47

Bang bang! I like it. As long as you have they key rookies mate.

      Cheers

uDonkey · 02/04/2016 at 22:37

I feel for those who traded Fyfe!?! Good on those who put VC or C Fyfe.

    Hawks · 02/04/2016 at 22:52

I don't, if you traded Fyfe out after 1 poor week, you deserve what you get.

      uDonkey · 02/04/2016 at 22:56

Agree hawks. And no I'm not of them still have full 30 trades, won't be after this round. I'm in a dilema this week with Wingard Barlow Rocky and Rich.

        Harry · 02/04/2016 at 23:06

Spot on if you traded Fyfe after 1 bad game you have no idea. Wingard is ok, Barlow is a sack of potatoes, Rocky is in trouble and Rich has never been SC relevant. Tough choice but Wingard is the keeper. I also want to get JJ in but can't have em all so for mine Barlow and Rocky out

      DadSmasher · 02/04/2016 at 23:04

You still having trouble with sarcasm Sheldon?

    Youngy · 03/04/2016 at 11:49

    I don't, agree with Hawks.

DadSmasher · 02/04/2016 at 22:49

My 2016 philosophy is "If they break a calf/groin/hammy sell em and get a new one".
It's working so far, I traded Robbo for Zach earlier today.

    FootyFanatic · 02/04/2016 at 22:59

I thought the same, so I traded Robinson to Wingard which obviously didn't work out well.

      DadSmasher · 02/04/2016 at 23:02

urgh. That sort of luck can ruin a season

uDonkey · 02/04/2016 at 22:49

How's everyone going with score so far?
I'm on 1245 from 13 projected score of 2200 hoping I'll get around 2100-2200. Stiill have Danger Shaw Ward Nic-Nat McCarthy Weitering Kerridge and Mills to play.

    uDonkey · 02/04/2016 at 22:53

Oh plus tipungwuti score of 84. So basically I'm on 1329 / 14

      TRIGGER HAPPY · 02/04/2016 at 23:10

Yeah about the same. Had chad, rocky, barlow who got either injured or just stunk. Watched jj tonight he seems the real deal. Hoping to finish around 2200 depending how the rest go tomorrow. Would take that after the carnage of this week.

      The Ranger · 02/04/2016 at 23:31

      1561/13 projected 2418.
And astonishingly, no injuries so far….

        Hawks · 02/04/2016 at 23:35

Wow, you must have played Fyfe as captain, right?

          The Ranger · 02/04/2016 at 23:38

I wish. Ablett actually, had no loophole option.

        hedski · 02/04/2016 at 23:54

        Looking the goods ranger

          The Ranger · 02/04/2016 at 23:57

Having a bit of luck helps Hedski, last year it was me getting all the injuries.

        DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 00:37

Brilliant score with 9 premos to play?

          The Ranger · 03/04/2016 at 09:45

Not 9 no, Danger, Bartel, Nic Nat, Priddis, Yeo, Simpson, Kerridge, Hewiit and Mills still to come

            uDonkey · 03/04/2016 at 12:53

Awesome score so far Ranger, still have quality players in hand should get your projected.

    DadSmasher · 02/04/2016 at 23:07

1410 from 13 projected 2378 I have the VC on Fyffe and the C on Danger but I don't have a loopholer unless I trade McCarthy for for galluci etal
still have Danger (C) SMitch, TMitch,Bartell, ZSmith, McGovern, McKenzie, Kerridge and Weitering to play

    Hawks · 02/04/2016 at 23:15

    1447//14 – projected around 2300, should get 2350+
Still to play Danger (C), Ward, Priddis, Simpson, Weitering, Kerridge, Mills & Parker

    Iamme · 02/04/2016 at 23:23

Disastrous round for me Polec 8 bloody points!!!, Rich & Rocky and Barlow all epic fails 1380/16….. Shaw, Weitering, Naitanui, Kerridge, Mills and Danger (capt) yet to play.

    WELCOME · 02/04/2016 at 23:38

15 played and on 1450 – I have Danger as Captain, Nic Nat, Rioli, Motlop, Weitering, Kerridige & Mills to play.
    Projection score is 2239

However I cannot see me scoring that projection score as my remaining players have quite high projection points.
    Such as : Motlop 95, Danger (288), Rioli 93, Nic Nat 128, Weitering 87, Kerridge 27, Mills 71

I am not confident about Motlop, Rioli, Weitering reaching these scores, If they do I will be happy.

      DadSmasher · 02/04/2016 at 23:41

I think Kerridge will make up for any shortfall. He should go 50 or more above his projected 27

    dognino · 03/04/2016 at 01:03

1421 from 14. Have danger (C), Simpson, weiering, mills, Hewitt, buddy, Nic Nat, kerridge to play. Stinkers from rich, rocky, Barlow

    Marvin · 03/04/2016 at 10:21

1502 from 14 including gaz as c. Got shiel, priddis, Kennedy, yeo, nic nat, weitering, kerridge, cripps to go. Il be happy with 1300 but hope for more. Rich and Barlow disappointments so far this week but if I ever see zorko out I owe him a beer. Glad to see the Dons cows get some half decent scores.

Sully321 · 02/04/2016 at 23:29

Mills or hewett on the field?

    Hawks · 02/04/2016 at 23:38

    Mills

    DadSmasher · 02/04/2016 at 23:44

Hewett. The blues don't have a matchup for him but should be able to cover Mills

    Youngy · 03/04/2016 at 11:54

Ill be going Mills, he seems like the safer option.

And mostly I just don't want 200k sitting on the bench.

Iamme · 02/04/2016 at 23:34

Tuff one, on last week you would say Hewett but could go either way.

sharmanism · 02/04/2016 at 23:42

I thought I'd changed my C from Robbo to danger but apparently it didn't take so I'm stuck with Gawn as VC and Rocky and Barlow are dead, I want their families dead, I want to burn their houses to the ground.

Dan · 02/04/2016 at 23:49

I wish Greene wasn't playing! Have Adams E sitting on my bench and no loopholing for me.

    DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 00:02

If you know anyone in Sydney ask them to throw some rocks onto greenes roof. Toby is sure to rush out and smash everybody within 100 yards and get arrested

      Dan · 03/04/2016 at 00:41

DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 00:01

I just checked some history on Danger and discovered that he hardly ever goes big (above 120) 2 games in a row. The usual is a 40-60 reduction the following week than another big one. His follow up score is still over 100 more than 50% of the time but not captain worthy when I have Fyffe as VC. So, I traded McCarthy for Clem Smith and made him captain then put Kerridge on the bench as emergency = loophole for any novices reading.
I had Fyffe as Capt last week (61) because I couldn't loophole to Gaz who was VC so this makes up for it. Supercoach must be a yin-yan sort of thing

    WTFareyouthinking · 03/04/2016 at 00:49

Danger has played a total of 6 games against GWS – He played two games at Adelaide's home ground and scored a 91 & 192
He played 4 games at GWS home ground and scored 110, 130, 147 & (72 which he was injured in)
This gives him a average of 123 when playing against GWS

Now that he is playing for the Cats and is really loving it there which has reflected in devastating 162 score against the Hawks last week.
Lastly for anyone to make a last minute trade to take a VC score is ABSOLUTELY stupid.

      DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 15:53

Gee I bet you must feel absolutely stupid. Don't feel too bad numpty dogmatic adherence to 'old wives tales' and 'unwritten rules' can often cause premature enunciation amongst the novice supercoaches. Accurate analysis and interpretation of data and patterns then having the courage to act is what differentiates winners from wannabes. McCarthy was a slow burner bench player of no real value, having a loophole player with fwd/def flexibility has already earned me 160 extra points, that's more than Dangers doubled captain score.

        The Ranger · 03/04/2016 at 16:09

What's the date behind the Clem Smith choice Smasher?

          DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 16:24

He's the only def/fwd non-player from a team that hadn't already played that I could afford

            Swans2012 · 03/04/2016 at 16:32

I've had freo's ubergangagang def/fwd locked in since day one for this purpose (mostly for emergency loophole with all the fwd/def's this year). Been working nicely this far….
But I do worry dads masher that you've spent a trade pretty cheaply….

              DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 16:38

Whether or not I got good value can't be determined until I've finished taking advantage of him. It wont get me $1,000 this week because I also had Danger, Bartell, Menadue and Rocky but it will help make up the rankings I suffered from having Fyffe as captain last week.

Cozza · 03/04/2016 at 00:06

Anyone one else think GAJ was a bit off tonight? I was watching him really closely most of the night – seemed to be holding his arm and wincing occasionally. Also seemed to playing on the outside a bit more and a few times giving up on the contest.

Wrapped he scored as well as he did, but just didn't look right. Maybe he's not match fit yet, which is understandable. Good news is, if that is the case, we've got lots to look forward to when he's back into it!

    Average Joe · 03/04/2016 at 00:16

People seem to forget Gaz is 31 turning 32 soon… Most players have to adapt as they get older to increase their longevity. Just saying it could be a reason. Or perhaps the coaches have told him to take it easy and play a bit more conservative? Didn't watch the game so can't speculate too much

    DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 00:23

I'm confused as to how he scored so highly from the possessions that he had in a game that they never looked like losing. Apparently the Ablett 1.5% uplift is still a thing in supercoach scoring.

    Boltons Blues · 03/04/2016 at 09:00

If a 80% Gazza can punch out 139 and 120 in 2 weeks, imagine what a 100% fit gazza can do?

      jel · 03/04/2016 at 11:40

The question is will we see a fully fit Gaz again?

azza · 03/04/2016 at 00:09

Hey guys do i take gazs 120 as VC or go for danger ?

    DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 00:25

Roll the dice, Danger could easily go 150

Dee · 03/04/2016 at 00:11

should I downgrade Barlow or Rockliff to Libba? Should I also hold on to Rich? #carnage

    DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 00:24

    Yes. Yes.

    SCaddict · 03/04/2016 at 00:27

Yep get Libba in for sure. Barlow and Rocky are the higher liquidation priorities. Will be the two highest traded out players most likely. Rich will have to keep for another week and reassess from there.

      Luke · 03/04/2016 at 07:13

Rockliff surely won't play next week? Should give us a week or two if we have the right bench players to deal with other problems first. Barlow looking very slow and turnover king atm!
I feel like JJ is now almost a must have, as well as getting in the right rookies before the price increase. Rich should not lose too much after his 100 in the opening round.
And let's not forget spudhead Greene! Could stink up the joint again.
Some big decisions to be made next week.

Average Joe · 03/04/2016 at 00:19

    Solid

    @TheNoLanguage · 03/04/2016 at 22:51

Shinboner · 03/04/2016 at 00:37

Just in case anyone did the unthinkable and traded out Fyfe last week, tonight was a perfect example of why you need to keep a cool head. Barlow has produced another ordinary score but I'll be holding tight with him too. Have a bit of faith in the Premos you picked and sit tight lads.

On another note how good was Marcus Adams tonight? I'm glad I played him on field this week. Kennedy (Melb) tonnes up again too!

Libba a must have and if he continues playing like this then he will be a keeper. Get Libba for Rocky which will give you cash also go Sheridan to JJ as sheridan may be injured – I wish my corrective trades were as simple as yours.

TySB · 03/04/2016 at 01:02

Hey community !

I have pretty much all of the best rookies (stock standard) except for papley.

This means I can focus on my spuds which are Rocky , Barlow and Suckling.

I was thinking Rocky down to a Parker and suckling up to JJ. Watching the way Jj plays and his point scoring capacity is too hard to ignore. I can't stand watching him rip everyone to shreds.

Thoughts community ? I will give Barlow one more chance I think because his role could change any week.

I have hickey… fingers crossed he goes up in price a shitload !? Thoughts ? Cheers

    TySB · 03/04/2016 at 01:03

Looking at hitting 2400-2500 this week : )

Phil · 03/04/2016 at 02:06

Projected has me 2300, happy with that but my mid pricers are killing me…..think I'm going to trade 2 out for a rookie and premo. So which 2 out of the following should go: Sheridan, Lonergan, B Crouch, Leunenberger?

    Kev · 03/04/2016 at 07:15

Leuy. Sheridan injured? Look for the injury report this week

Zac Dawson went berserck in the last quarter vs GC suns. Went from 6DT to 10DT from memory. Could be on his way to getting a 15 in the coming weeks!

    Derek · 03/04/2016 at 11:51

thats about 154 points in CoachKings

I would wait a while. Give him another year or two and his price should be below $50k

Hab · 03/04/2016 at 04:47

Dilemma!! Got Rocky and Rich which can easily turn into Parker/Priddis and JJ

Also have Gresham and Dunkley who has decided to be complete spuds.

Do I trade in better rookies to generate cash or bring in premos who are about to explode in price. Or a mix of the two.

Thoughts?

    Kev · 03/04/2016 at 07:13

Rocky is injured. Depending on how long he is out he needs to go. Short term memory on Rich, he scored a 100 last week, stick with him.

Gresham/Dunkley may be slow burners. I wouldn't trade them unless you've missed the must haves like BK/Kerridge/Adams

    Hawks · 03/04/2016 at 07:15

Rocky may miss with injury (calf), so many will trade him out, but if your confident in your M9 to score decent, at least Rocky won't drop in price if not playing.

Rich was heavily tagged, it won't happen every week, but it will lead to the occasional very poor score. I'd keep him.

Fix rookies first unless Rocky is named to play next week, then fix Rocky & 1 rookie

Luke · 03/04/2016 at 07:27

Is Papley going to be a must have? I was hoping to see one more week, but I have more than a couple of problems to deal with next week already with Rockliff, Barlow, Greene and possibly even Pendlebury who looked out of sorts with an injury.
If I trade Greene to Papley today it would give me the cash and two trades to use next week. Too risky?

    magpie4ver · 03/04/2016 at 07:47

I wouldn't worry about Pendels the Pies play the Saints next week. Think you might to want to give Greene another go? But its really up to you. Should worry about Barlow and Rocky.

      Luke · 03/04/2016 at 08:00

Yeah I think you are right. Watch Greene today and pass on Papley. Then will go Barlow or Greene to JJ or Zach merrett for a bit more balance.

2300 within reach hopefully can push 2400

didnt pick Rocky or Rich this year, but the my rucks (Gawn and Goldy) arent scoring as well as i thought they would, but stick by the set and forget and keep them there

Made one trade, was Greene down to Kennedy, which im happy with, saved 260k for a better output (So far)

CaPtKaOs · 03/04/2016 at 09:11

Rocky down to Libba. D.Menzel up to Hall
or
Rocky up to Gaz. D.Menzel down to Hewett via Kennedy dpp?

Libba and Hall looks like a good option.

    SCaddict · 03/04/2016 at 09:37

Definitely 1 mate. Hall and Libba are pretty much must haves at this point.

    tophawk · 03/04/2016 at 09:41

Option 1 mate. Two must do trades.

    Dean · 03/04/2016 at 18:24

Forget Hewett its Papley thats tearing it up.

I thought I had it all sorted by bringing in JJ & Hall this week but Paply is to good to ignore.

Phil · 03/04/2016 at 09:13

Anyone thinking about keeping Rocky? How long are we expecting him to be out for?

    CoachDamo · 03/04/2016 at 09:18

Not sure – I didn't see the game, I've only read comments on here about a calf injury. I'm going to wait and see what is reported during the week.

I'll see what happens today (Greene, Hewett, etc) to see which trades I'll make during the week – Rocky might have to wait!

    CaPtKaOs · 03/04/2016 at 09:27

Depends on how long he is out for. He had an injury niggle right before the season start. Wondering if it is the same thing and he came back too quick. If so, he might need a few weeks now to get it right. Will have to wait and see.

      CaPtKaOs · 03/04/2016 at 09:32

Its funny that lots of us didnt trust Gaz to be injury free, so didnt pick him. But then picked Rocky and overlooked his start of the season injury "niggle" because he looked good value.

      SCaddict · 03/04/2016 at 09:41

Pretty sure his NAB niggle was tight hammies. This is definitely a calf although I believe the Lions think it to be a relatively minor one at this point.

I guess we'll find out later in the week but back to back sub par scores and now this injury concern makes it hard to hold him, particularly on the eve of the price changes, especially if Lukey Parker tears it up again later today.

        scyb · 03/04/2016 at 09:48

Whats the best option if i already have Parker and wines?

          SCaddict · 03/04/2016 at 09:53

Jelwood and Shiel could be good alternatives depending on how they go later today.

I'll also be considering Pridda, as I should have enough coin to play with to get him in, if that's the way I decide to roll. Robbie Gray is another to look at if you have the extra cash.

    Danners · 03/04/2016 at 17:24

Last night I believe I heard after the game he will be out for a "few weeks", if so, he should be traded

Shake n bake · 03/04/2016 at 09:49

Are we sticking fat with Barlow??

    SCaddict · 03/04/2016 at 09:58

He's skating on very thin ice in Addicts. Will reassess later in the week once emotions have settled but Barlow –> JJ plus $90K via DPP is looking mightily tempting at this point.

Ole Rossy could even drop him for us this week and bring in Bennell.

      magpie4ver · 03/04/2016 at 10:09

I'm thinking Barlow has to go before he drops in price, 60's 2 weeks in a row for 505K player……not good. Don't think I can chance another week of 60's for that price he will plummet

    Youngy · 03/04/2016 at 12:03

Might consider sticking with him as a POD, but probably not, as Addicts said JJ is looking very tempting.

      TySB · 03/04/2016 at 12:31

Is JJ Jason Johannisen? DT format?

    Danners · 03/04/2016 at 17:13

Yes, usually has a slow start to the season, I have other priorities

    flex350 · 04/04/2016 at 08:34

I dont have Papley so I am going him for Barlow. That will give myself good upgrade cash to pounce on fyfe in a couple of weeks. Question is Rocky, he is not looking good. I am not one for side ways trading but considering Parker or Gray. Worried that other players will take points away from Parker. As I have the cash, is Gray the better option.

sc king · 03/04/2016 at 09:55

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP
This week should I downgrade a Clayton Oliver (who is on my bench) to a cheap rookie about to up in price (Papley) and then change a Brodie Smith to a Rory Laird or should I scrap that idea and just use 1 trade to bring in Marcus Adams into the team.

Also what are thoughts on Rich, Rockliff and Barlow allnot gong to well

    Phil · 03/04/2016 at 10:03

100% bring Adams into your team, that should be your number 1 priority! Is it possible to trade out Oliver to Adams with a bit of DPP action? Maybe swinging a Menadue into the midfield? If not, keep Oliver he will still make you coin.

I'd keep Rich. He can't handle a tag nothing's changed there, but he did just play against the number 1 tagger which he won't again. Rockcliff 50/50 wait on more information. Barlow I would trade out.

You don't really need Libba, it would be more important to get any rookies you missed out on.
I don't think Libba will be a season long keeper and at best he should be your m7-8 come the end of the season so its more important to get those cash generating rookies in.

Sarah · 03/04/2016 at 10:46

What would everyone do with Rockliff and Rich? My thoughts are Rich still can't deal with a tag and it completely shuts him down, but he won't play Jacobs every week. Played very well against West Coast, most likely won't trade him, hopefully he tons up next week. Rockliff not looking good in both games, not sure how much but a decent price drop, it'll be hard to keep him.

Glad I don't have Barlow and those 2 are my only worries.

    Chill · 03/04/2016 at 11:24

Decided to start the season without Ablett, Rocky and Rich. Glad I don't have to deal with Rocky & Rich but of course Ablett is making my head hurt. Barlow is my main concern- thinking of going to Buddy as I wanted him from the start but couldn't fit him in. Love having him in my side previous years despite the 40 score one week and the 130 score the next. What are your potential trade options Sarah?

      Sarah · 03/04/2016 at 12:29

I started Buddy over Barlow so I like that swap.

I like Yeo or Laird but very hesitant to swap Rich for one of them. Maybe Johannisen but still doubtful about him. Can trade Rockliff for anyone.

        Sarah · 03/04/2016 at 12:30

        Danger or Priddis possibly

    Derek · 03/04/2016 at 11:56

Congrats on the Crows big win. They looked very good.

I could see Brad getting better as the game when on.

I also have McGovern and I'm very happy with what I saw.

I'll keep Rich, he got a very close tag.

I'll hold Rocky unless there is a 3+ week injury

      Shake n bake · 03/04/2016 at 12:13

How about Barlow wingard Lobbe? You took a few hits this week Derek! Who's in ur gun??

        Derek · 03/04/2016 at 13:13

I'll hold all trades unless Rocky or Wingard injured and Lilley to miss weeks.

Lobbe plays Essendon next week, he'll be ok.

Rich had a very swollen hand from last week, lucky no break. He got a very tight tag. He's ok and no need to get rid of.

I'll hold and wait for injury news

    jel · 03/04/2016 at 11:59

    I've got the Rocky/Rich/Barlow trifecta.
My current thinking is hold Rocky if he is out injured, I can cover with Hewett.
Rich I'll take a punt on and live with the inconsistent scores.
Barlow gets the flick and replaced with JJ via DPP.

Will need to see how the games today pan out and what the final injury toll is.

tophawk · 03/04/2016 at 11:23

There are three guys I would like to get rid of at this stage. They are Tom Rockliff, Michael Barlow, and Trent Mc Kenzie. I will have to make two trades this coming week after not trading after round 1. My greatest priority is getting in JJ for Trent Mc Kenzie this week. I currently have 32 K in the kitty. As such, I am 80K short to do the straight switch thus a second trade is needed to raise the cash. I am considering trading out Rocky for a rookie downgrade or a midpriced midfielder (470K) or less. I am not sure which rookie or mid pricer to target. I already have most key rookies. (Adams, AMT, B. Kennedy, Weitering, M Brown, Dea, Davis, Mills, Gresham, Mc Carthy, Menadue, Petracca). I am thinking of giving Barlow one more week. I know that I will cop a price reduction on him, but Zorko is my target for him. But on the positive side I have an extra week before Zorko's price changes. (Missed round 1) So, If Zorko continues to score well, I can offset the price drop on Barlow with the price gain in Zorko when I do that switch after round 3. (Unless a dramatic change in fortune in one or both of these players)

That said, I would love any suggestions on my immediate challenge of Rocky and Mc Kenzie?

Cheers

    Northerner · 03/04/2016 at 11:40

Consider Kane Lambert as a downgrade option because he is a serious chance to later on be a worthy F5 or F6. Other than rookies, you still want to be bringing in players that will be keepers

      tophawk · 03/04/2016 at 13:01

I agree. Hunter is my favourite atm.

    Harry · 03/04/2016 at 19:33

I have exactly the same problem. My thought is to hold McKenzie. The great Jock Reynolds' philosophy to have him in was that he's not going to lose you cash and he scored exactly his expected score. I want JJ too but to trade him in at that price you have to be convinced he's a keeper. I just don't know enough about him/not convinced for that. So I'm going to hold McK, he's not going to lose cash, and when the time is right upgrade him. Hopefully he can at least make 50-70k before an upgrade. Barlow and Rocky are going to bleed cash. If you think they're both keepers you can wear it. But both have question marks on their roles- Barlow hardly in the middle and Rocky also spending a lot more time forward. So for mine they go

Gold Rush · 03/04/2016 at 11:26

      Northerner · 03/04/2016 at 11:46

Not going in with him was a conscious POD call that I got right. However I took Robinson instead who I had to sit on my pine this week!

Northerner · 03/04/2016 at 11:31

Very much enjoyed the banter on this thread. Notable absence of some of the more negative and unsavoury posts on some recent threads. Well done to all.

So many stories over the week of people chasing last week's points. The adrenalin seems to make everyone forget that round 1 only counts a third as much as a normal week. Rd 2 is worth two thirds of a normal week.

Fyfe is a good illustration. He has now averaged 109 over 2 games. His starting price needs him to average 134pts to hold his value at $670k – and we all expect it will drop below that at some point. By having yesterday's 157 big score and if we for argument's sake say he scores 134 in Rd 3 (his BE will be about 185), his price will drop about $25k, but his breakeven going into Rd 4 will be about 95. If he scores 134 in Rd 4 he will rise about $19 so is effectively only a few thousand short of his starting price. If he'd scored 109 evenly over the 2 weeks his BE after Rd 3 would be 144, and if he gets the 134 pts in Rd 4 he drops another $5k. That's a $25k difference.

All those who got Hickey now realise their thinking that their downside risk was covered as he would at worst make some cash and could be a stepping stone if he does not become a keeper appear to be at risk of getting that call wrong. His Rd 1 157 score only counts once in his price. His $375k starting price has him averaging 75pts. If he gets that this week he will rise by $35k, but assuming he gets 75 again the week following you'll give half of that price appreciation back straight away. You risk him becoming a mid price headache. If you think he can pump out 90s from here consistently then go for it.

I'd suggest waiting till the best Ruck/FWD DPP presents after a few weeks – maybe watch both Swans ruckmen – if you are looking for ruck cover in your forward line. It could be Hickey, but I'd prefer to see him ton up 2 weeks in a row from here while he still has that 61 he scored yesterday in his average before bringing him in with a low break even at that point pre Rd 5 even though it will cost a little more it won't be that much. Or even better, wait for Nicholls to get a long term injury which is probably even money and then bring in Currie!

Wonderful to see the Suns yesterday wasn't it? On that performance the WB have an emerging challenger for everyone's second favourite team!

    Kev · 03/04/2016 at 12:16

Great analysis mate. Understanding how prices rise and fall will take you far

Max · 03/04/2016 at 11:33

Why are people so concerned about Rich? Copped a very hard tag the whole game but are many other teams likely to tag him? I'm willing to keep him and not rage trade him like others did with Fyfe. Barlow on the other hand may not be so lucky, Rossy may just drop him and Bennel may come back.

    Northerner · 03/04/2016 at 11:55

He is the best kick in their side and will cop the tag often if he's played through the midfield. It's like Hill from the Dockers who takes the tag most weeks because he's so damaging if he gets free and is their best at delivering into the forward 50.

Given Rich is a defender and most of the premo defenders will spud up from time to time, suggest hold.

      The Ranger · 03/04/2016 at 13:37

He's got a beauty of a left foot but he's still not shown that he can perform week in week out,
I had him last year and vowed not get sucked in again, he did my nut in!
If you have him then you've got to expect a bumpy ride.

    Derek · 03/04/2016 at 12:48

I'm expecting all the Rich haters to come out this week, they were very quiet last week.

      uDonkey · 03/04/2016 at 13:13

Agree derek. Only concern, is he carrying an injury? Cause he and Rocky called it a day mid last quarter and went straight to the dug out. As a north support i was dirty on Scott for bringing in B Jacobs to tag on Rich at the same time i was happy North come out the victor.

    @emhoy · 03/04/2016 at 12:54

I am holding he is in our defence so we can expect some bad scores plus most teams don't tag anymore so I can't see this happening again. Just be grateful it happned in round 2 and not when league games started. Jacobs pretty much did not look at the ball and just hanged onto him the entire game.

      I N Pieman · 03/04/2016 at 13:12

I noticed the same thing emhoy. All Jacobs did was stand beside him all day. And rich hoisted the white flag. He's as soft as they get

        Derek · 03/04/2016 at 16:33

I think the problem is Rich's short arms. Is it just me who has noticed that. So when he gets tagged he can't hold them at arms length.

Joe · 03/04/2016 at 11:40

Do I take Gaz's 120 or roll the dice with Danger

    Gold Rush · 03/04/2016 at 11:46

I'm rolling with Danger, then again I can't loophole.

    Youngy · 03/04/2016 at 12:01

    Take the 120.

      Harry · 03/04/2016 at 13:01

roll with danger, he's much more likely to score above 120 than below

Youngy · 03/04/2016 at 12:00

1500 from 15, Rockliff, Rich and Barlow have ruined me.

Danger with the C still to come

Ethan · 03/04/2016 at 12:09

Traded out Toby Greene for Zach Merrett and was very happy with his 137 instrested to see how Greene will back up his disappointing performance last week

Ethan · 03/04/2016 at 12:12

Laughing at those that jumped off the Fyfe bandwagon #fyfeislife

    Paulie Walnuts · 03/04/2016 at 12:28

yeah, last count I seen there was over 4000 idiots

      MaccasMarvels · 03/04/2016 at 13:10

Wow. 4000!!! I think most of us have gotten that 'sick in the stomach' feeling of making a serious blunder early in our supercoach careers. There's about 4000 of those today.

    tophawk · 03/04/2016 at 14:02

4000 SC players that may have just blown their winning chances after trading out Fyfe after round 1. Bloody madness.

    Danners · 03/04/2016 at 17:22

People that went Fyfe to Dangerfield lost 80 points by trading #Fyfeislife

Hayley · 03/04/2016 at 12:33

Ranked 21st overall after the first round. Sitting on 1331 with Danger (c), H Shaw, Shiel, Nic Nac, Kerridge, Weitering, Cripps, Buddy and Mills to come. Really hoping for 2300+. Another 2450 would be nice

    The Ranger · 03/04/2016 at 12:54

    Nice one Hayley, great score!

JAYZ · 03/04/2016 at 12:52

So expect rich and rocky to be out for a couple of weeks what's news?

They have absolutely ruined me this week

Swanny · 03/04/2016 at 12:54

Why is Rich out?

    Derek · 03/04/2016 at 13:16

Rich went into the game with a very swollen hand, they feared it may have been broken last week. I wouldn't be surprised if it worse than thought

      I N Pieman · 03/04/2016 at 13:32

Afl site is reporting a hamstring issue for rich. He's also getting a scan to see if he has a heart

        Derek · 03/04/2016 at 13:57

What is word on Rocky and Chad?

I N Pieman · 03/04/2016 at 13:08

Barlow you have a date with my shotgun. and Daniel I give up if I'm tagged Rich YOUR NEXT. So many to shoot & only 2 bullets! I may end up using them both on Nathan Buckley for playing DeGoey as a FWD. Prick

Connor · 03/04/2016 at 13:18

Where can I find how much players price will deviate (UP & DOWN), for example T. Liberatore

    I N Pieman · 03/04/2016 at 13:32

    Tooserious.net

    Kev · 03/04/2016 at 13:35

The breakeven scores will be available at the end of this round, Connor. They will be at SC Gold if you have it, or sites like fanfooty or tooserious. The JR community is pretty great as well!

R,Griffen turning back the clock today – 47 SC Pts at 1/4 Time, we will see how long that lasts?

    The Ranger · 03/04/2016 at 13:54

My favourite moment of last season was trading out Griffen after he'd spudded up my side for ten or so weeks.
I won't be going near him again unless he can do it for a whole season.

tophawk · 03/04/2016 at 13:50

I wasn't able to loophole Fyfe's 157 last night. (pity that). So I am praying Danger can deliver something solid. πŸ˜‰ Otherwise my round will have a big skid mark on it. Danger is on 37 SC points at quarter time. Decent start.

    Holty · 03/04/2016 at 14:21

that sux hawk. Hate it when that happens. Still you still get the 157. wonder how many traded him out during the week?

magpie4ver · 03/04/2016 at 14:03

Looks like Greene Might redeem himself this week?

Nicholas · 03/04/2016 at 14:06

Got rid of green yesterday for jj but still dont regret it as i couldnt risk greene spudding it up with rich and rocky in my side both possibly injured

    magpie4ver · 03/04/2016 at 14:14

I hear ya….I had to keep Greene because of Barlow……hoped Greene would come out better today and it looks like he did so far, already on 58 and not even halftime yet. So Barlow gets the boot this week and Greene stays.

      Nicholas · 03/04/2016 at 14:42

Just scared as i have danger as c πŸ™

    uDonkey · 03/04/2016 at 14:28

Greene wasn't too bad to trade out. It's those who trade out Fyfe after 1 round of the season who is a proven premo a brownlow medalist. Lesson to be learned for those who traded him out.

      Kev · 03/04/2016 at 15:32

Completely disagree, uDonkey. If you picked Greene it was as a potential keeper, nothing to lose by keeping him around for one more week. You'll run out of trades pretty quickly if you're jumping off players like that.

30 trades looks like heaps but you'll be willing to give your left nut for a few extra come finals time

Holty · 03/04/2016 at 14:19

5000 supercoaches traded Greene before the game. This is why you dont trade someone after 1 bad game.

    magpie4ver · 03/04/2016 at 14:23

Not I….had to give him another go…..with Barlow stinking it up. I know which of the two gets the boot next week now!

      nicholas · 03/04/2016 at 15:14

Dont jump on players after 1 good game ever

      Holty · 03/04/2016 at 15:34

good work magpie. i am with u though on Barlow. he is a really big concern

        Youngy · 03/04/2016 at 15:50

He doesn't seem to be getting as much mid time as we has hoped.

    CoachDamo · 03/04/2016 at 16:54

It makes me laugh! Just think of those coaches who trade out Fyfe AND Greene last week!

James · 03/04/2016 at 14:22

Greene making of a legend in my squad! Saved me a shit call trying to get him and Barlow out.

Now thinking Barlow -> JJ (Adams swing)
Gresham -> Better rookie (Hewett/Papley)

Northerner · 03/04/2016 at 14:26

How much could he score if he lifted to an AFL standard of kicking and handballing?! He knows how to get a hard ball, but boy he does chop it up

Northerner · 03/04/2016 at 14:27

Second week that Nathan Wilson is showing something to us. With DEF such a lottery this year, at $277k, he's worth watching

    Youngy · 03/04/2016 at 15:49

He's definitely worth watching, but he is at a awkward price.

Don't see him ever getting into my team.

Paulie Walnuts · 03/04/2016 at 14:35

Coniglio doing a job on Danger in the 2nd 1/4 , only 46 SC Pts to 1/2 time

    Youngy · 03/04/2016 at 15:48

    Im extremely worried…

Nicholas · 03/04/2016 at 14:58

So i get rid or rocky this week wondering if i give rich and barlow a chance. Pitty i got rid of greene but rly had no choice. Might bring him back in down the track if he keeps this form. Remember last year with griffin 1 week good the next bad so greene owners be careful he may still screw you over

    Kev · 03/04/2016 at 15:21

Why didn't you have a choice trading Greene?

      Nicholas · 03/04/2016 at 15:59

Cause if he spidded it up then i had barlow greene rocky and road rich which would be gg and i didnt want another griffin in my teammall year

magpie4ver · 03/04/2016 at 15:11

Damn Shaw sucking balls and Danger

Youngy · 03/04/2016 at 15:18

DANGER with the C, crap. He's getting a tag from Coniglio….

I luck is never on my side!

    magpie4ver · 03/04/2016 at 15:22

Yep me to cant fing believe it?

      Youngy · 03/04/2016 at 15:47

      Ye it sucks.

Did you watch the game on friday night, I ended up going to the G to watch it.

Richmond find new and improved ways to lose games.

    BloodyFranklin · 03/04/2016 at 15:28

    Same bro. Hurts.

      Youngy · 03/04/2016 at 15:46

Hope everyone has him as captain, if I hurt from his score I want everyone else to hurt aswell.

        Luke · 03/04/2016 at 15:51

Would have got good money on Greene outscoring Dangerfield and Shaw. Still worrisome from greene with 34 touches and only just cracking the ton but I will take it!

magpie4ver · 03/04/2016 at 15:46

Brutal ….Danger spewing!

Scyb · 03/04/2016 at 15:47

rookie move putting the C on danger. Only gazza is reliable and will consistently get you the 100+

Cashcows · 03/04/2016 at 15:49

Fyfe C last week, Danger C this week. Getting more and more behind the pack. Steer clear of Gaz next week.

BloodyFranklin · 03/04/2016 at 15:54

Gibson on 17 Disposals after the first 1/4?

    NickV · 03/04/2016 at 16:10

    70 sc points at quarter

I N Pieman · 03/04/2016 at 15:59

Nick · 03/04/2016 at 16:01

Didn't get to watch the game but what happened to Mitch Duncan surely he got injured or something?

    NickV · 03/04/2016 at 16:09

    knocked out by mummy

    BloodyFranklin · 03/04/2016 at 16:11

    Mummified!

    Cozza · 03/04/2016 at 16:11

Knocked out mid way through the 3rd qtr – was very very quite before that though.

      Nick · 03/04/2016 at 16:23

Cheers boys, 26 is still very ordinary from 3 quarters.

Cozza · 03/04/2016 at 16:14

This is not fun at all – have Rocky, Barlow, Danger, Shaw, Lonergan but somehow still on track for 2200+. What could have been if my premo's performed πŸ™

hedski · 03/04/2016 at 16:25

Thank god Gibbo has tonned up before half time. Need another 200 out of him in second half to get anywhere near a decent score!!
Still got 4 to come blues v syd.
Bloody Danger

Liam · 03/04/2016 at 16:27

Does Barlow have to go ??

    Holty · 03/04/2016 at 17:16

im one that stays true to the never trade out a premium unless they are injured but he looks absolutely terrible. dont know what Ross is thinking playing him more forward again when he proved last year he could not do it. He isnt even half the player he was 2 years ago.

      Liam · 03/04/2016 at 17:25

Thinking the same thing holty. He looks terrible, I think he has to go.
      Thoughts on these trades,
      Rocky to Fyfe
      Barlow to JJ via dpp

        hedski · 03/04/2016 at 17:31

Same trades I'm thinking of Liam.

          Liam · 03/04/2016 at 17:37

          Great minds think alike hedski.

            Joel · 03/04/2016 at 18:50

That's what I am thinking but that means passing on papley

      medadsson · 03/04/2016 at 18:46

Watched him at the game, every time he was in centre he turned ball over. His kicking under pressure is atrocious. Really like him but he either has the yips or the pace of the game is too fast for him now. Lyon did make a comment after the game about a lack of leg speed in the centre so I don't see Barlow has much prospect of spending much time there anymore, despite what Ross said pre-season. Time to cull him before his price drops. On a different note, I simply can't believe so many traded Fyfe out after one week.

DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 16:33

WOW did you see the hit that Mummy put on Duncan? Fckn ripper

    hedski · 03/04/2016 at 16:38

Yep. Really just had t stand there the big bastard!

    Vinny · 03/04/2016 at 20:42

how one game can destroy what was looking to be a great round.
Selwood
Bartel
Shaw
McCarthy.
Althoigh cant complain about McCarthy

    Rakesh · 03/04/2016 at 20:54

    I had Polec as well.

Danners · 03/04/2016 at 17:19

Seems patience is the key this week. Greene, Life, Dusty, Houli all coming back for big scores
Maybe people should be patient with Barlow and others. #Fyfeislife

CarlaShirley · 03/04/2016 at 17:40

wow only a non cookie cutter team will score 2300+ this week just carnage and only round two

Never before have I seen so many true premiums score so badly in one round.

Sarah our Crows showing a lot of speed and spread in the Showdown and been a long time since we have had clean ball movement all around the ground. Hope that game was no fluke

Dee · 03/04/2016 at 17:43

I wish there was more than 2 trades this week… Carnage in my team in every line.

    medadsson · 03/04/2016 at 18:04

Dee · 03/04/2016 at 17:56

J. Gibson 187 SC….. pwooahhh!!

    CarlaShirly · 03/04/2016 at 18:02

hedski · 03/04/2016 at 17:56

Gibbo u legend

The Ranger · 03/04/2016 at 18:12

Adams almost outscoring Bartel and Danger combined…that sucks.

Dean · 03/04/2016 at 18:21

Bloody hell this is getting more confusing now that Papley is having another cracker.

Initially I was going to bring in JJ & Hall however now I think I will sacrifice one for Papley as he is on 75 points half way through the 3rd quarter.

    Cozza · 03/04/2016 at 18:49

I agree – I was thinking of getting rid of Rocky and Barlow this week. Papley now looking tempting. Question is – is it worth getting rid of a trade to swap Papley for McCarthy or McGovern?

      Joel · 03/04/2016 at 19:18

I'm thinking Barlow to papley, wait and see if any benched midfield rookies get dropped and up grade them. Put rocky on the bench deal with him later.

      Derek · 03/04/2016 at 19:46

No. I have the same forward rookies. I like them both. They will make really good cash, might just take an extra week or two more than Pap. Definitely hold them. I think McGovern is very good

I was thinking about Keays to Papa, but Keays likely to play next week. Might just let papa go

    Dean · 03/04/2016 at 19:45

I have Barlow guys, keep him he will definitely end up as F5 or at worst F6 there wont be any better forwards over the season that will Average better then him as a D6

      Dean · 03/04/2016 at 19:45

      Sorry I meant F6 not D6

        Cozza · 03/04/2016 at 20:35

Good point – probably a bit trigger happy to boot Barlow. Freo have been two weeks in a row – probably no coincidence that Barlow has been poor as well. He has the runs on the board – maybe it is best to give him another shot.

DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 18:27

2051 from 19 with TMitch,Kerridge,Wietering inplay

The Ranger · 03/04/2016 at 18:35

Jeez, I was proj above 2400 at one point, be lucky to make 2200 now.

DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 18:40

Dusty 134, Houli 127, Pendle 110, Gaz 120, Fyffe 157,RGray 129, Laird 127,Smitch 144, Merrett 131 plus just about every rookie going 80plus any score below 2200 will be in lower 50%

    Cozza · 03/04/2016 at 19:15

Thinking that a bit optimistic DadSmasher! 2200 will be top 25% at least I think. A lot of people have combos of Danger, Rocky, Barlow, Shaw, Gawn, Bartel, Crouch (es), Jacobs, SGray, Rich, KK, Lonergan, Selwood, Priddis, Yeo, etc – all of whom are genuine selections who underperformed – some were terrible. The best/lucky players for the round will definitely go bit, but seriously doubt 50% will go over 2200!

      DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 19:27

You forgot JPK, ZSmith, McGovern,McKenzie etc but I forgot Hall, Greene etc. The official stats will always be distorted due to people creating new teams to replace seriously bad risky ones after round 1 in an attempt to win the round cash but amongst the legitimate players I think 2200 will be about average. I hope I'm wrong and 2050 is the average but there are too many high scoring rookies to negate the premos that stink

        Cozza · 03/04/2016 at 19:36

Yeah – weird week with some rookies performing well. I agree that 2200 form legitimate players will be about right, but I suspect most players aren't legitimate. Managed to scrap to around 2250 myself this week, so I'll take that after the carnage I suffered πŸ™ Looks like you had 2300+ this week – great score.

          Boltons blues · 03/04/2016 at 20:20

          2270 with danger captain, shaw
          With a decent captain, I was 2400+

tophawk · 03/04/2016 at 18:42

Today was a disaster. What looked liked 2450 now looks like 2250. Danger (C) and Shaw were both sh-t. I am more annoyed with Shaw as this is now 2 spud efforts to start the season. But I have more pressing issues to deal with. Rocky and T.Mc kenzie…………………….

    Gold Rush · 03/04/2016 at 19:02

with Danger as C, I'll have a party if I can score 2K.

      Derek · 03/04/2016 at 19:04

      I won't get 2000. Tough week

    medadsson · 03/04/2016 at 19:04

Look at the bright side, I assume you support the Hawks πŸ™‚

      Derek · 03/04/2016 at 19:42

Hawks were good. It's the only time I don't care about SuperCoach points in a game.

One day I'll have Riolli in my SC team!

        Dean · 03/04/2016 at 19:53

I scored only a crappy 2134 with Danger as Captain, was nice to see Rioli step up.

Holty · 03/04/2016 at 18:42

good score bud

    DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 18:46

Thanks Holty, I reckon I should make 2300

CaPtKaOs · 03/04/2016 at 18:54

Will be interesting to see the scores this week. Even my expensive set and forget rucks (Goldy 95 and NicNat 80) couldnt lift my team.

Paulie Walnuts · 03/04/2016 at 19:00

Seriously, everyone needs to take a chill pill, most of the Premo's that didn't score well – WE ALL HAD THEM , corrective trades will be crucial – HEAD not HEART

    Gold Rush · 03/04/2016 at 19:06

Barlow gets executed tonight FULL STOP, no panic about it, just gotta know when to hold them and when to fold them. The Papa is looking good, he will go up over $100k this week.

      Holty · 03/04/2016 at 19:14

yep. paps in for me too. not sure who for though. so many to choose from.

    CaPtKaOs · 03/04/2016 at 19:08

True. But its a weird week. Dale Thomas has 25 possessions ffs……

Derek · 03/04/2016 at 19:09

Petracca played a full game in the seconds today, had it 20 times.

Keays had 39 disposals in seconds

Ruggles had 25 touches including 25 marks.

There are going to be plenty of downgrade options

    Holty · 03/04/2016 at 19:12

Steele injured? dont think he played in the seconds today.

      Vinny · 03/04/2016 at 20:07

Ruggles contesting Andre Drummond for most twenty-twenty games

    tophawk · 03/04/2016 at 19:25

Great news! Hopefully Petracca will make his debut for the Dees in the next week or two. After yesterday's debacle against Essendon, it will hopefully be sooner rather than later. Maybe the punt to keep him on my bench might pay off. Ben Keays will probably debut next week after that effort, whilst Ruggles may have to wait a little longer to crack into the Cats side.

    Thanks for the intel Derek.

      Derek · 03/04/2016 at 19:34

ive got Keays on my bench, heard he is quality.

Also saw that McGlynn was one of swans best as well yesterday

        Derek · 03/04/2016 at 19:38

I'm tempted to trade Keays to Papa to chace the cash increase.

Won't have my midfield loophole (lot of good it did this week when I gave Gresham a run instead of taking Menadues score), still not convinced he will stay in team when McVeigh and McGlynn are back.

          tophawk · 03/04/2016 at 19:50

It might be Mills that gets the chop when Mc Veigh and Mc Glynn return. I am thinking of trading out Mills for Papley. Mills has performed way below my expectations, and his price rise will be modest coming from a 211K base. In doing so, I cash in on Papa's 100+ K price rise and leave me with $150K to use for my second move this week.

          Cheers

            DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 21:08

Yep Mills isn't onfield worthy and Papley is 100k cheaper and very onfield worthy hell also make close to 100k after next week. appears to be the must have swan rookie so far as nobody to take his spot/role

          WTF · 03/04/2016 at 21:02

Derek you said and I QUOTE: "Keays had 39 disposals in seconds" & "ive got Keays on my bench, heard he is quality." END QUOTE.

Why would someone who has Keays already be so stupid to trade Keays to bring in Papa after just stating Keays received 39 disposals and if you "Heard he was quality" when knowing this information, especially when you have Gresham on your side who is a dud and only scored 44 & 37 in his first two games.

Why in the world wouldn't you trade out Gresham for Paps as Gresham's price increase not only will be small but his break even will now get higher so what little money he does make he will lose it ALL and also depreciate in value with his pathetic performances thus far.

If you can bring Paps in your forward line via Keays who is just a midfielder then you can bring Paps in for Gresham as he is just a midfielder also just like Keays.

            derek · 04/04/2016 at 08:56

calm down. I said i was "tempted". meaning there is a temptation to go for the cash instead of holding onto the structure.

the gresham to papely is a good idea though, but i'll probably just hold my trades.

    Coach · 03/04/2016 at 19:39

Juicy cows on the horizon πŸ™‚

    DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 21:10

25 Touches including an incredible 25 marks! any tackles
Keays might get a run for a week or two now that the lions have adopted a '1 injured mid per round' strategy

Chill · 03/04/2016 at 19:29

More realistic score from Weitering this week.

Chill · 03/04/2016 at 19:30

Thinking of picking up Daisy… Thoughts community??

    tophawk · 03/04/2016 at 19:33

No thanks. I got bigger fish to fry.

    Coach · 03/04/2016 at 19:38

Pass on Daisy mate.. Too injury prone..

    Derek · 03/04/2016 at 19:39

Is that a joke? Seriously….. Is it?

      Chill · 03/04/2016 at 19:44

Can't deny he had a great game Derek! I'm thinking of trading danger to him. Danger is cooked! Either daisy or Zac Dawson.

        Gold Rush · 03/04/2016 at 19:56

I'd go Zac over Daisy if I was you, Zac is the most underrated player in the league, SC should throw in some steak knives – like 3 extra trades if you trade him in plus an extra Million if you hold him for 7 games.

        Southern S · 04/04/2016 at 01:03

        Danger is cooked?

    Scyb · 03/04/2016 at 19:47

Yah. Great pick. Trade Parker out for him

    no.

    BundyBear · 04/04/2016 at 02:05

Yeah good idea. Trade Danger or Parker for him. LOL

NickV · 03/04/2016 at 19:33

2250 roughly this week. I think it will be above par

    Holty · 03/04/2016 at 19:39

someone mentioned above that this will be a below average score but im with you. I think i might just scrap out 2150 and with all the carnage, im going to be happy with that.

      BigHaydos · 03/04/2016 at 20:00

Yeah I'm about 2150, what a right off. Rich, shaw, Priddis, Selwood, Sam gray, goldy as captain.

Thankfully I've got all the right rookies so I can actually use trades where I need them. Thinking rich and Barlow for JJ and Parker.

Pick up Zorko next week hopefully

Marco_Polo94 · 03/04/2016 at 19:38

Well that was dreadful.

    Coach · 03/04/2016 at 19:50

And next week might be Wonderful..

The_Black_Mamba · 03/04/2016 at 19:56

I got 2393 i think that's a good score this round but not sure.

    dannyyboyy · 03/04/2016 at 19:59

i just looked around some of my comps, my score looks above par at 2289, so id be very happy with that mr mamba

    Paulie Walnuts · 03/04/2016 at 20:02

Excellent result Mamba, I got 2250 and I'm happy with that

    DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 20:02

I reckon its an excellent score blacksnake. I got 35 less and that's 100 points above next best in my top ranking league but there's a 2498 from TheDontBlushBabys in a lower ranked league

    Vinny · 03/04/2016 at 20:05

    That's a great score!

DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 19:59

Very happy with this round 2358 with Rocky,Danger,Bartel,MCrouch, ZSmith, McKenzie and menadue onfield. and no Johannisen Waite or Gibson

    BigHaydos · 03/04/2016 at 20:05

    How? Lol

      DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 20:08

      C on Fyffe, Houli, SMitch,TMitch,ZMerrett,Gaz,Wells,Libba,Adams,Hall,Kennedy

        BigHaydos · 03/04/2016 at 20:17

        Well done good sir

    Vinny · 03/04/2016 at 20:34

Got 8 points less and had Rocky, Danger, Goldy (C), Selwood, Barlow and Mills. Did have Gibson though. Also with the Paps on the bench.

Gold Rush · 03/04/2016 at 20:00

Ouch, 1989 was a very good year but rubbish SC score. Barlow has been found guilty and will be strung up and quartered by executioner Papley!!!

Vinny · 03/04/2016 at 20:02

Accidentally had the C on Goldy, and was so disappointed with his 95, but then with majority putting it on Danger, I am quite satisfied. Thanks SC gods.
Ended with 2350, with Rocky, Barlow, and again the 190 from Goldy. Pretty happy with that.
Whats the par score for this round?

    tophawk · 03/04/2016 at 20:09

I think between 2150-2200 this week. You did very well this round with 2350. I could only manage 2208. What did you score last week?

      Vinny · 03/04/2016 at 20:17

I got 2216 last week and have a total of 4566. Which is highest in all my five leagues. Also one of my leagues from last round finished rank 9. How about you?

        BigHaydos · 03/04/2016 at 20:30

I'm on 4379 after 2 rounds. Definitely way behind the top 1% already. gutted

TySB · 03/04/2016 at 20:03

Suckling to Jason Johannisen?
Barlow to Papley? Which leaves me heaps of cash to upgrade.
Rockliff to anyone ?

I was tossing up with going Barlow to papley which leaves me with heaps of cash and cash to be made.
Then upgrading Rockliff to anyone of my liking thinking of going Robbie Gray.
Then the week after I can spend that money upgrading rookies who have made the most of there cash.

Luviboy1 · 03/04/2016 at 20:03

Bloody hell what a frustrating week. Lucky to score 2072.

Wanting to go Rocky and Barlow to BenKen and Paps this week. Will I be jeopardising my scoring potential by doing this? Highly doubt it because Rocky and Barlow are scoring like rookies atm. Would leave me with a butt tonne of cash for later weeks.

I could go Gresham and Barlow to BenKen and Paps, leaving me with less cash but still a premo (I use the word lightly). I currently have 58k and have not used any trades as of yet, if it matters.

Much luck for next week community, hoping for a much better week.

    Tulendeena · 03/04/2016 at 20:10

Having the same dilemma, worried going from barlow to papley will impact scoring potential too much

Then again, Papley has outscored him both weeks

      Derek · 03/04/2016 at 20:41

You know what will happen if you get rid of Barlow

        Luviboy1 · 03/04/2016 at 21:08

Bound to score 120. So so tempting to rid my team of him however.

      Luviboy1 · 03/04/2016 at 21:09

Thats what I mean. Begs the question do we think Paps can keep scoring at this rate.

    Dean · 03/04/2016 at 21:12

Keep Barlow mate, he is without a doubt at worst a F6 over the season so save yourself a trade or maybe two, unless that ass Ross Lyon drops him then go for it.

Iamme · 03/04/2016 at 20:08

1930 one of my worst rounds ever!! If Daisey and Benny Reid score well next round I plan to roll the dice in round 4….got to try to get back on track.

CapTnKaOs · 03/04/2016 at 20:11

Those in a hurry to trade Rocky stop and take a deep breath. Form aside, if he has a short term injury and doesn't play, his price doesn't drop yet. Also, he is playing in the last game next week and could be used as a loophole if he doesn't play.

    Dean · 03/04/2016 at 21:15

The guy has a calf injury and is a very expensive bloody loophole. Rocky out this week for me and Hall in.

      DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 21:16

Yep, injured calves are the opposite of cash cows

steve1 · 03/04/2016 at 20:13

barlow and rocky aside. Is anyone thinking of dropping shaw this week?

    Shinboner · 03/04/2016 at 20:25

I think Shaw is comfortably a top 6 defender (top 2 for mine) this season. Definitely hold.

    DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 20:31

I'm thinking that I might get him in 2 weeks

    hedski · 03/04/2016 at 23:03

I'm thinking of chinning him if I see him stevo and tellin him t pull his finger out.

BigHaydos · 03/04/2016 at 20:19

      BigHaydos · 03/04/2016 at 20:36

        BigHaydos · 03/04/2016 at 20:37

        maybe even higher – 2450ish

          DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 20:40

          I've seen a 2498

            Cozza · 03/04/2016 at 22:07

Top score for the round was 2,650 (and rose 114645 ranks this week!!!!) – Top 5% scored over 2,244 – Top 10% scored over 2,194.

              DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 22:24

Hahaha just goes to prove that rankings are irrelevant until the byes have passed

    tophawk · 03/04/2016 at 20:39

Around 2400 I think. You need about 55,000 points. But don't expect to average 2400 from round 1 as the rookies need to turn into cash cows. I reckon if you can average 2100-2300 for first 7 games, then as you upgrade rookies to premos your average needs to be around the 2600-2700 mark for the last 7 rounds. My average is 2250 after the first 2 rounds so I feel I am in the game right now. But the game has just started and like everyone else I have some onfield issues to sort. Cheers

    DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 20:42

I finished 87th a couple of years back with a season ave around 2220 but I was 900 plus points behind the winner and never got close to a top round score

Shinboner · 03/04/2016 at 20:30

Finished on a modest 2247. Rockliff and the WCE boys hurt. Fyfe (C) helped. Considering holding firm with Barlow and making corrective rookie trades instead.

Vinny · 03/04/2016 at 20:31

Whats everyone on in total score? 4566 for me.

    Shinboner · 03/04/2016 at 20:34

    4575.

    tophawk · 03/04/2016 at 20:52

4499. Right on track. It would have been 4659 if I had the C on Fyfe instead of Danger. But its no game breaker. Gotta get that Papley dude!! He looks good!

    DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 21:14

4568 – I had the C on Fyffe last week V on Gaz and no loopholer

    Babo · 03/04/2016 at 22:03

4634 – took Houli as VC for security.

Don't know what to do with Rocky either……

DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 21:03

I'm considering two trades this week
Rocky to Zaha I know all the potential negatives involved with this but I like to take a risk
McKenzie to Johannisen or Brown to Papley.
Current forwards are Merrett,Hall,Wells,Kennedy,Kerridge,Menadue (Clem/Walla)
Backs are Houli,Bartell,McGovern,McKenzie,Wietering,Adams (Brown/Dea)
I reckon the defence is a bit shaky and needs Johan to keep in touch but the cash from Papley will be enormous.

Varying philosophies from the community on the second trade are appreciated

    SC16 · 03/04/2016 at 21:08

like the looks of zaharakis, massive POD

    Benjamima Puddleduck · 03/04/2016 at 23:32

Had Zaha, originally in my starting team, then bailed on him. i always felt he will be the one to have decent scores this year. I think he will definately continue to hit 100 plus maybe ave 110 for the season.

JJ, i want! but is he going to do what the Bont did last year and give us a heap of spud scores after 3 rounds..?

Id bring in Papley, the 100k cash gen is a big plus

      DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 23:57

Yep I'm with you on Papleys millions Ducky but can he handle a full afl season? Sure hell make me 100k this week and jj only 40k for 87points perhaps 60k if he gets another 100 maybe 70k if another 120point game. JJ current ave is above Danger,Goldy,Gaz,Fyffe, Priddis, Hannerberry and would be D1 based on ave but Paps would only be F5 based on ave

Gold Rush · 03/04/2016 at 21:07

Hurry up and end the lock out – I will not go to bed until I execute Marshmallow Barlow. Banished – never to be seen again in any of my teams for life. SPUD, POTATO, MASH, BURNT CHIP.

      magpie4ver · 03/04/2016 at 21:24

Sleep on it? No way Barlow is out………dud! Was a misfire for picking him just like his play!

    DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 21:28

Breakeven 174 and predicted to drop 50k if he gets 70! Burn his house down

Boltons Blues · 03/04/2016 at 21:14

Is it worth trading a none playing rookie (Cox) to papley and stick with Barlow or trade Barlow to papley?
if i do the downgrade trade, my forward line will be Hall, Wells, Papley, Kennedy, Kerridge, Mendadue, is that to shallow?

ill then have 600k in the bank (already got 260 from trading Greene to Kennedy this week)
then ill probably trade Mills up to a Parker or Robbie gray (considering they play the bombers this week)

    magpie4ver · 03/04/2016 at 21:22

Dump Barlow can't risk it after poor two outings……..he's going to bleed cash next week. 60's 2 weeks in a row….not acceptable for a 505K player.

    DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 21:22

I'd be getting Papley but using the Barlow/Cox combo to also get a proven gun that's looking redhot with the new game style. TMitch, SMitch, Blicavs, Johannisen, Parker, Zaha etc

    Boltons Blues · 03/04/2016 at 21:36

    First look at it

    Barlow > Papley
Joyce (non playing mid) to Robbie Gray +160k left over, which moves Mills to the bench and crouch is my M8

      DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 21:50

Very solid trading. do you still have a nonplayer for loopholes?

        Boltons Blues · 03/04/2016 at 22:04

have Grimley in the ruck and Ruggles down back

I was reading somewhere and apparently Ruggles went nuts today, so maybe on the back of Geelong loss, might find his way into the team

          DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 22:28

Yeah I saw that. Derek posted that he'd had 24 marks or something, pretty safe that Grimey won't get picked

    Cozza · 03/04/2016 at 22:04

Balow projected to drop $50k next week. Papley projected to increase $100k. Assuming they score somewhere around their projected scores, thats a saving of $150k in 1 trade. This is only relevant if you do not think Barlow is a keeper for the year. If he is a keeper, then his price reduction is of no relevance to you if he stays in the team.

I'm having doubts though about whether Barlow can be top 6, or even top 10, fwds this year.

      Boltons Blues · 03/04/2016 at 22:17

top 20 the way he is going, cant be a keeper at this rate

Steeeve · 03/04/2016 at 21:31

Rocky, Barlow, Wingard, Shaw, Selwood, Goldy, NicNat. The pain, the pain of it all.
But holding your intended keepers is so important. Ask those who traded out Greene and Fyfe last week.
A measly 2052 this week.

Please help

    Scrad · 03/04/2016 at 21:55

Don't panic there is should be on the left on desktop or down the bottom right hand corner on the app, there is a symbol, press on it and reverse changes option will come up

    Cashcows · 03/04/2016 at 22:05

To be more clear, on desktop it's on the left. Between the quick tabs and your field of players. It's titled "Reserve Changes", right above Show Byes and Projections.

Definitely needs to be more obvious.

      Jackk · 04/04/2016 at 09:14

Thanks, it was below the trades, last year, not so obvious anymore,

Redd · 03/04/2016 at 21:57

Barlow to Hall and Rocky to Titch???

    Cashcows · 03/04/2016 at 22:07

Great trades. Titch bit of a pod considering he's a bit more pricey than the obvious choice in Parker.

Hold on rocky if there's must have rookies you need to trade in.

      Redd · 04/04/2016 at 21:59

Cheers mate the feedback is much appreciated ive got every rookchild you could ever want i.e papley hewett menadue adams kennedy dea brown tipungwuti weitering mills kerridge and davis so time for rocky 2 go

Ben · 03/04/2016 at 21:57

Not doing great boys but some bad calls like Gresham on field instead of Hewitt or others twice Haas cost me and nic Nat captain but why do we fall community ? So we can get back up again .
Looking at going Rocky to Libba and Gresham to papely by swinging Kennedy good trades or not is Parker a Better option then Libba and 200 k .
Team at moment without this week's trades is
Shaw, laird , rampe, weitering , dea , Adams , bench , Hartley and brown.
Fyfe, ablett , danger , Rocky , shiel , cripps, mills, Gresham Bench Hewitt, Davis , dunkely
Goldy nic nat bench goetz
Dusty , Barlow , wells , Kennedy , menadune , Kerridge bench McDonald ,McCarthy
Any thoughts where corrective are most important

    Cashcows · 03/04/2016 at 22:11

Definitely get Libba over Parker. Dogs are playing well and at home iirc for the next 7 more matches?

    Dean · 03/04/2016 at 22:58

Excellent choice mate, Libba a must have, personally I think he will finish in the top 10 midfielder, way better then Parker when considering their price difference.

Also Gresham to Papley a wise move, I am doing the same. – LOCK EM IN BENNY.

Mister_Spock · 03/04/2016 at 22:04

Thinking Barlow > Papley and Rocky > R Gray / Zaharakis / Titch.

$400 – 500K in the war chest to go BANG BANG the following week…

Thoughts on the best option to bring in for Rockliff? Leaning heavily towards Gray, but Zaha will generate $150K extra but not sure he can sustain 110+ scores week in, week out

    Kev · 03/04/2016 at 22:57

Gray. Cash generation is irrelevant when looking to bring in a keeper.

    Harry · 03/04/2016 at 23:00

I'm exactly the same and going Zaha. Simply, he's the premo mid at Essendon this year whereas he's always been second fiddle to Heppell and Watson. Zerrett is good but as a third year player not sure he can sustain it. Zaha is 26 and even if Essendon get thumped, someone has to score. I think he can sustain good scores

Adrian · 03/04/2016 at 22:06

Rocky to libba and rich to laird or j givson argghhh or do l hold…also got rischismelly making the undies a bit smelly. I dont want to waster trades but arggghhhhh.

Barlow better be off to crouching ones gym for fly kick lessons.

poloko48 · 03/04/2016 at 22:07

2 corrective trades this week, Barlow error I can cop but went cheap on R2 with Kreuzer and have paid the price.

OUT Barlow IN Papley
OUT Kreuzer, move Tippett from FWD to RUC, IN BKennedy

Team now looks like this with $795K in the bank:

DEF: Laird, Adams (FWD), Shaw, Rich (MID), Brown (FWD), Hartley (Weitering, Ruggles)
MID: Ward, Priddis, Libba, Hanners, Fyfe, Wines, Menadue (FWD), Oliver (Mills, Davis, Keays)
RUC: Goldy, Tippett (FWD) (MKing (FWD))
FWD: BKennedy (MID), Wells (MID), Papley, Buddy, Kerridge (MID), Tippa (DEF) (DRioli, Kommer)

Very slow start as you'd expect with this team but the $$$ generation will be huge. Hoping I don't start from too far back in the field.
Currently ranked 52052 (was 80K after R1), will hopefully just hold trades til the cows fatten!
From earlier posts both Keays & Ruggles may get a start in the next few rounds too!

Thoughts?

    tophawk · 03/04/2016 at 22:28

Wow. Your forward line looks like a rattling skeleton………No meat….

      poloko48 · 03/04/2016 at 22:43

Agree in part, but when you look at the first 2 rounds my top 5 forwards are in the top 25 – 3 of which are rookies.
Most of the current top 10 forwards won't be top 10 at the end of the year, only Dusty, Wells & maybe JJK you could bank on.
I could probably do with a Merrett or Hall for sure, and they'll go up say $100K each – I just think I can make more from my rookies rather than bring them in now.

    JAYZ · 03/04/2016 at 22:37

Hopefully rich is playing heard he strained a hammy

      poloko48 · 03/04/2016 at 22:45

He might be on my bench anyway the way he's going lol

    Lachie · 04/04/2016 at 01:46

you're in trouble atm and a double trade of kreuzer sounds horrendous

      poloko48 · 04/04/2016 at 12:46

Hey Lachie not sure what you mean by double trade of Kreuzer – only used 1 to get rid of him. Am I missing something?

      poloko48 · 04/04/2016 at 12:47

Also it's only round 2 – 21 rounds to go so plenty of time to make up ground.

James · 03/04/2016 at 22:08

Corrective trades this week. Wyatt to papley (have loersch) and de goey to stringer. Good choices? Let me know

    Hawks · 03/04/2016 at 22:36

Not sure about Stringer, he will be inconsistent.

TheBeard · 03/04/2016 at 22:10

Hi community! Would like some advise. Who do you think is the better choice out of r gray, parker, priddis, mitchell, pendels. Also zorko, martin, kennedy? Who would be top recommendation for f1??? Thanks guys

    magpie4ver · 03/04/2016 at 22:12

Parker he's less money and will generate more cash

      Thebeard · 03/04/2016 at 22:31

Also keepers though mate as i can afford any. Leaning towards gray and martin.

Re

WombatsFC · 03/04/2016 at 22:20

This is a genuine apology to David Zaharakis.
Previously I have grouped you and all players at essendon during chemical jim and the board of experimentation's reign together ie not concerned with ethics or rules.
This was wrong of me as I now know that you refused to be injected on multiple occasions and, that you had to stand up to a lot of bullying from the club that included being droppped from the senior team for ten weeks after round 10 despite you having had 8 SC scores above 95 and 5 above 110 up to that stage. I understand that you accepted this 'punishment' to protect yourself from Jims experiments and to stand up for your own strong personal ethics. For this I genuinely respect and admire you.
When I study your recent and historical Supercoach form the torment you experienced during that dark period is obvious.
I can understand how hard it must be for you to play your heart out for a club that is still run by some of the people that had absolutely no respect for you or your colleagues immediate and future health and to be cheered by fans that support the clubs treatment of you who and think that your ethics are wrong.
You are an outstanding man David Zaharakis and every club in the competition would do well to have you on their recruitment list.

    Hawks · 03/04/2016 at 22:35

Great point, so hard to be the only player in a team/club environment to be swimming against the tide, and singling yourself out against a club & coach run program. That takes guts.

    tophawk · 03/04/2016 at 22:53

Zaha made a gutsy decision. He knew he had a choice. He chose not to inject, despite huge internal pressure to do so. He backed himself as a footballer, and guess what………Zaha is still at Essendon and winning.

Dank, Hird and his cronies are long gone now. What does that say?

Essendon are on the move to redemption. Zaha at the helm.

    DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 23:30

Well said Wombats but, you could have gone a bit harder on the club. mate they got off without penalty and got bonuses for trying to screw those blokes!

    Phil · 03/04/2016 at 23:53

It also should be mentioned that Zaha chose not to play in the NAB last year to protect his teammates identities, which in turn may have made himself look part of the alleged group to some people. That's putting his teammates and club before himself, a club that hasn't exactly done the right thing by him.

Furthermore, he wasn't happy with his season last year, so he went from to Boulder, USA to do his own high altitude training in the off-season.

So fitting that it was him who laid off the handball to the second-gamer (Parish) to ice the game on the weekend. Enormous respect for this guy!

@TheNoLanguage · 03/04/2016 at 22:25

Tossing up trades this week community (made none last week) and would love some feedback. Problems are no Papley, Rockliff stinking it and my POD defenders Rampe and McGovern struggling. This is my thinking:

Grimley to Papley for the coin generation and going McGovern to JJ. What do you think? Good trades?

    Kev · 04/04/2016 at 09:05

Deal with injuries first, so Rocky will need to go. Papley is flying in the face of my "no small forwards" rule, he'll make a bunch of cash though.

Leave Gov for now, somehow scored 81 from 14 touches at 64%d.e. He'll have some big weeks

      @TheNoLanguage · 05/04/2016 at 22:38

Thanks Kev, I will have to look at Rocky for sure

james · 03/04/2016 at 22:59

two trades for me this week

Out: Barlow In Zaharakis via Kennedy DPP
Out: gresham In papley Via Menadue DPP

ranked top 11% so far and got 264k in the bank

DEF – Laird, Adams, Houli, Weitering, Sheridan, Cutler (Dea, AMT)
MID – Zaharakis, Ablett, Dangerfield, Priddis, Shiel, Adams, Viney, Crouch (menadue, Hewett, Davis)
Ruck – Nic Nat, Gawn (lorensch)
FWD – Hall, Kennedy, Wells, Papley, Kerridge, De Goey (Mccarthy, 102k rook)

not a bad start only 200 points off top thousand, had a shocker this week with all my mid prices flopping but thats the gamble i took, my FWD line will be similar to a lot of peoples but the cash generation from these boys will be huge and then i will have to trade wisely, Got 6 POD's in my team which i'm Happy with

Thoughts community

    Cozza · 03/04/2016 at 23:11

I'm thinking of something similar for Gresham > Papley trade. Tossing up whether to back Barlow in or trade him – knowing my luck he'll come out with 100 this week.

    DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 23:24

They look like sensible trades. Even if Barlow pumps out 149 next week I doubt any of us would feel safe with him at F123 until the end and the new game style suits zaha. Papley is an obvious must have and worth sacrificing any of the mid rookies to acquire

Bailey · 03/04/2016 at 22:59

Priorities out of johanissen, liberatore, Papley, Kennedy to get in this round?
I have Barlow, de goey, crouch and Gresham who I can possibly get rid of.

    Bailey · 03/04/2016 at 23:02

    Also Rockliff

    DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 23:10

Damn Bailey how do you not have any of johanissen, liberatore, Papley, Kennedy? Based on my team I'd get Johany but your team is probably most soft in the tummy so I'd drop either Rich, gooey or crouch plus Barlow for zaha and Zach

      DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 23:12

No I wouldn't I'd get Kennedy for Barlow and Libba for Rocky.

        DadSmasher · 03/04/2016 at 23:14

No, I'd chase the cash and get Papley and kennedy or maybe Libba and Papley. Sorry Bailey I don't see any way out perhaps you can start a new team πŸ™‚

Crazy Stat
Only two 500k fwds in top 20 fwds only 1 in top 10

    Cozza · 03/04/2016 at 23:09

Not easy to pick our FWDs this year – or defenders for that matter. Back in the proven premos (who are currently spudding it up), or bring in a midpricer and hope they continue…..

Dasha · 03/04/2016 at 23:19

ive been unable to watch both freo games, are barlows low scores due to his role or simply a poor performance on his behalf? stats seem to indicate the former

    Phil · 03/04/2016 at 23:44

Both pretty much Dasha, he only attended 3 centre bounces on the weekend. Even for a forward he is not playing well though. After the game Ross spoke about how they are too slow in the midfield and need to inject some pace in there. It's not looking good for Barlow, he might become the Luke Ball circa 2009

      DadSmasher · 04/04/2016 at 00:19

Did you see any of it Phil? I didn't see a second. Channel 7 have 5 TV channels but broadcast horse racing on two of them, english junk on another 2 and footy on the remaining single channel and I live in regional Vic so it takes 8 hours to watch a game on the afl app with turnbulls retro-internet. I could get Foxtel but those dodgyfux are owned by a dirty old man whom the AFL seem to be fellating feverishly at the expense of those who give the game value.
      So, is he finished?

        Phil · 04/04/2016 at 00:54

I have an AFL pass on my iPad so I caught a bit of the game. Hard to say if hes finished because Freo have been beaten in the midfield both games, so Ross might feel he needs to put him back in there. It's a tough call to make.

        Jake · 04/04/2016 at 01:18

He looks slow, like a 2015 Malceski. I wouldn't be surprised if he's axed this week.

          BC · 04/04/2016 at 02:29

I was at the game. He didn't play well at all and the diehards weren't impressed. Like u say lack of speed might cost him a rest in the twos

TRIGGER HAPPY · 03/04/2016 at 23:41

Talk about the perfect storm. I was already on my knees after the carnage on Saturday but as I was getting off the canvas copped an uppercut and then a right hook and it was lights out.

In no particular order:
Rocky gets calved up
The Chad goes ping and gets ham strung
Barlow blows
Ahh well still got some guns to come on Sunday. But …
Dunc gets slammed dunked by big mummy
WC and nic nat still got burns from the hawks who torch them again
And capt danger goes down with the hmss cattery

Bang, bang goodnight thanks for coming.

    Phil · 04/04/2016 at 00:51

Ouch!!! Reading that made me feel a bit better about my own team. The one that really hurts there is Duncan, it sucks when that happens to one of your pods. I had Mitch Wallis go down early in a game last year and it really hurts.

    derek · 04/04/2016 at 09:16

sounds like we have the same team, but throw in rich and bartel it makes for a tough weekend.

      TRIGGER HAPPY · 04/04/2016 at 10:37

So what we gonna do? Only way out is to trade. Think I will hold the Chad as can swap him for papley on the bench. Thinking of going rocky to JJ bringing longeran into the middle. DPP Kennedy for Barlow trade Barlow to Parker. Next week with cash saved go longeran to Gray.

Nick · 04/04/2016 at 00:13

Who to trade out Barlow or Duncan? Cheers community.

TySB · 04/04/2016 at 00:14

Trades this week:

Barlow to Papley

Rocky to Robbie Gray

350k in the bank but the only worry I have is my scoring potential limited? How long until the cash cows are ready?

    SCaddict · 04/04/2016 at 00:35

Rd6/7 is typically about when the first wave of cows start becoming cullworthy.

Perhaps you could upgrade an under performing midpricer to a proper premo in the meantime, assuming you have one of those. Otherwise you may just have to wait it out unless you cop a LTI between now and Rd6/7.

      TySB · 04/04/2016 at 00:55

True but there is no point trying to upgrade midpricers when I have limited cash. It will just result in premo in new line and other line weakened so will have to wait on rookies and do corrective trades.

Keep Brad Crouch right ? Yes
Thoughts on Tom Hickey? I have him in my ruck but only scored 61 this week.
Also want to go suckling to JJ but I can't because I have to focus on Barlow and rocky + getting in papley

I have rocky , Barlow , suckling (possibly hicky) to deal with while I need to get papley in. Any thoughts would help as my brain is in a knot

Fray · 04/04/2016 at 01:56

Hey legends
Need some advice. Want to go rocky to Parker and Barlow to hall. Is his wise trading these players or should I be looking at getting someone like paply in to generate cash.
Kind of new to this whole thing

Cheers

    GoldRush · 04/04/2016 at 08:52

Darn good question there Fray, asking the same thing myself, I need to access as I''ve got all the top cash generating rookies with the exception of Papley. I'm going the Paps.

    derek · 04/04/2016 at 09:10

depends on how you want to play your game. if you are like Crouching and like to go Bang bang and trade your ass off to get the best team you can sooner, you do your sideways trades and chase the "in form' players. Then once you have run out of trades, you pray you can hold on the last 5-6 weeks.

Or you can hold your trades, make only correctional trades if there are long term injuries or you have a heap of dud non-playing rookies, and slowing build to your premium team. It will cost you points early so the danger is losing too much ground not not being able to make it up. early in the season, everyone forgets how valuable trades are.

there is plenty of luck needed in this game, and both methods will work.

Unless rocky is injured for more than 3 weeks, i would hold him. Barlow is going to take a price hit, so if you don't think he is top 8 forward this year, now is the time to dump him. I personally think he will still be a good option once fremantle wake up and start playing footy.

    Kev · 04/04/2016 at 10:13

Great advice from derek. I'll add to it, what rookies do you have? Looking at the breakevens, BenKen, Adams, Kerridge, Papley, McTip, Hewett, Davis and Menadue all have breakevens of -50 or higher, and will jump in price next week. You want most, if not all, of these guys. A full list of breakeven scores are on the site under the players tab, then click break evens.

      derek · 04/04/2016 at 10:40

there is plenty of luck in this game, and sometimes it is the players you don't have that make your year.

say if either fyfe, danger, Goldy, Rocky or Shaw get injured early in the game next week and score a 5. most people will be howling about their score, but the reality of it, most people will have them and it won't drop you too many places. However, the people who didn't have them will not only benefit points wise and have a significant jump, they will be able to buy that player in a few weeks at a much cheaper price.

It seems like everyone has Rocky & Barlow, so it hasn't affect peoples overall rank that much. however there are few people who didn't have them and will be quietly moving up the ranks and plotting when will be a nice price to get them both into there teams.

      Fray · 04/04/2016 at 15:27

      Cheers

    ThatDamnRascal · 04/04/2016 at 10:58

Watching the Lions v Roos game and Rocky spent plenty of time forward and hardly looked all at sea. Leppa said prior to the season starting that he'd spend more time forward and I think this will really hamper his scoring with the likes of Taylor, Zorko, Green, Beams, Hanley all running through the midfield now and with Robbo and Beam (dayne variety) to come back in the next few weeks Rocky continue to spit out 80 point per week and hemorage cash while he's at it.

Barlow looks totally lost. He's not a lead up target up forward Neale, Suben, Pearce have all gone past him.

This week the focus should be on rookies and getting the one that will make the most $$$ as well as have pretty good JS to take them to the byes for slaughter. So a strategy could be up to a Ablett/Fyfe/Danger etc and down to a rookie Adams/Wells/Kerridge/Parish/Pap etc and start building the war chest.

Trade Suckling to JJ or hold the trade?

The Beard · 04/04/2016 at 09:59

Lads I could really use some friendly advise.

I have the following prems in the mids : GAZ, Fyfe, Libba, Danger.

WHO is the next must have? I'm looking at Gray for Rocky. Priddis, Parker, Pendles, Mitchell??? Leaning towards R Gray. Would go Pendles but concerned on his ribs. Mitchell has been outstanding but will he keep it up all year?

Also who do people think for F1? Tossing up between Dusty or Zorko or WCE Kennedy. Any thoughts?

I'm really happy with my scores the first two weeks and have a squad i'm happy with though these two questions are my major concerns. Any advise is appreciated lads.

    The Beard · 04/04/2016 at 11:19

    Anyone?

    Kimmyd · 04/04/2016 at 11:46

Parker for sure, will play 22 games and AV 110-120 and won't be anywhere near as cheap next week. You can always get gray, priddis Mitchell later on when they have a poor game and drop in price near bye rounds.

      The Beard · 04/04/2016 at 12:46

Thanks. I've got 130k+ in the bank so had not been fussed on the money side just the locking a prem away.

I was leaning towards Gray & Dusty. Who would you add in the F1 position if you took Parker?

        Kimmyd · 04/04/2016 at 16:42

Both pretty reliable in terms of amount of games they will play, I think Zorko played all 22 last year and Martin 21. I'd put Martin just ahead of Zorko only dp cause I think the lions will get belted more than Richmond. Definately not Kennedy from wet coast, will have a few awesome games like last week, but cannot see him averaging 95+ and Martin and Zorko both will for sure. Hope this helps!

Barlow to zaharakis? and either Seedsman or KK(keep more coin in the bank for later) to Gibson ?
Or what are other people's thoughts??

Jackk · 04/04/2016 at 10:12

Guys i need help

I have a crisis – i have Rockliff, Barlow and Bartel, Gresham

I need to also get Papley.

Im thinking

Option 1 –
gresham to papley via dpp
rocky to zaha

option 2 –
rocky to zaha
barlow to merrett

Im hoping bartel fires back, what should i do with this dilemma

    Kimmyd · 04/04/2016 at 11:50

Get Parker in for rocky, Zaha will not outs ore Parker this year, Essendon will cop some huge belting a, he will be lucky at AV 100 by seasons end, Parker will AV 110-120 easily as Sydney are a much better team. He has already done it before in 2014 and now injury free will absolutely dominate, he already had in the last 2 games. More of that to come mate. Hold Barlow for now. Gresham out for papley for sure.

leviathan · 04/04/2016 at 10:22

Hi community,

I want to trade Gresham out for Papley. I think this can be done via dpp. As I am still quite new to this, how would I do this? I tried to trade Gresham earlier but I could not choose Papley because he was in the forward line. Can anybody tell me the what you need to do?

Thanks!

    Kimmyd · 04/04/2016 at 11:57

Ok leviathan, hit trade on Gresham, then it will show you your team on the left and midfielders on the right. Scroll down on your team to the forwards. Then hit the grey S butter on a Kennedy, or wells it will switch them into your midfield. This is also mean the right colouring willniw change to forwards instead of midfielders and you will be able to trade in papley. I've used this little trick before in previous seasons and it quite handy. When upgrading to premos as well.

      Kimmyd · 04/04/2016 at 11:59

Ok so should read button not butter!! Anyway let me know if it works leviathan, I just did it then with my team and it worked fine. Should work for you as well.

CarlaShirly · 04/04/2016 at 10:33

Jack Martin from GoldCoast looks good so far 90 & 111
Thinking of downgrading to him trading out Barlow who looks like he won't get midfield time.
Then Rockliff I will put on my bench for now I hear his injury is not as serious as once thought might only miss a game.

    Holty · 04/04/2016 at 10:39

agree carla that Barlow needs to go. To much time in the forward line for my liking. Jack is a interesting selection but hiw GC have started this could be a great selection. Im keeping Rocky myself. He is way to tough (or stupid) for his own good. he apparently had these niggles before round 1. Hopefully he will smash out a 150 in a few weeks time

      CarlaShirley · 04/04/2016 at 10:44

Just so frusterating though Barlow even looks like his best is behind to add to his awful start to the year.
But he was in the position that he scores best at he would still have a respective scoring output to justify keeping him for now but it's just not the case.

        CarlaShirley · 04/04/2016 at 10:49

Will free up 120k getting Martin who looks like a 90+ player at 380k I will take that and keep him as F6 till I need to upgrade my final premium forward.

He is like Wingard getting 15-20 disposals and kicks goals, is in less than 2% of teams too

      Kimmyd · 04/04/2016 at 12:10

Disagree mate, rocky needs to go moe than Barlow. I can rocky being out for more than 1 week and he is guaranteed to reinjure himself as he was already caring niggles. Ross "idiot" Lyon will hopefully put Barlow back in the midfield as he certainly not a forward! Fyfe is a forward, Barlow is not, doesn't take a rocket scientist to work that out! Barlow played midfield in NAB cup and kicked arse. Freos mids suck atm besides Fyfe Barlow is needed in the mids. Anyway just my opinion of course, but I feel rocky will bite you on the arse much more than Barlow will in the end. I traded rocky to Parker this week and VERY happy with that trade. Parker will dominate, even when rocky comes back he's also playing forward and it ain't going to come down that end much as Brisbane is terrible. I watched the game the other night, didn't see rocky in the midfield really at all. Hence the low score, and went off injured at 3/4 time.

The Black Sheep · 04/04/2016 at 10:40

When you click to trade Gresham, sub him with a fwd/mid player in your fwd line. Then you will be able to get Papley.

MY TWO CENTS · 04/04/2016 at 10:43

Hi lads. A couple of weeks ago I posted about putting in the all Australian capt in Bob murphy in your team in place of Bartel. It was howled down as dumb idea and Bob would go backwards and bartel would score heaps more as capt Bob over achieved last year and bartel under.

Did anyone happen to catch the opening two games? Capt Bob avg over 100. Bartel? Anyone?

Only early days but looking like an inspired choice. πŸ™‚

Murphy did not over achieve last year at all hey I had him in my 2013 team and think he his avg by the end of that year was 97 will look up his last 3 years since he baca me the focal point of the doggies defence.

I had Bartel all the way up till before round one then I made a late change to Houli

      Till round 1*

        CarlaShirly · 04/04/2016 at 11:07

        2013 99.1
        2014 88.5
        2015 91.8

Some serious relevant history to back up a starting him this year
You would be happy to keep him in as a d4-5

And Bartel will not play more than 20 games this year as he will get injured or "managed" that's why I didn't touch him this year. Went with jj, working out very well so far!
