I like it Rory Lobb pulled the arse out of the Bulldogs defense and has been rewarded
Superb point system

Definitely liking the look of it so far. It's great that forwards and defenders are being rewarded more than in supercoach.

Looking good!

Could you boys rate my team
Mcveigh, KK, Yeo, Aish, Francis, Dea (bonner, Broad)
Danger, Ablett (c), Rocky, Wines, Parker, Libba, B.Crouch, Mills (Petracca, Keays, Mathieson)
S.Martin, Lobbe (Grimley)
Dusty, Barlow, Greene, Conca, Simpkin, Kerridge (Komner, Brown (Essendon)

Id PO Mcviegh and Bonner and Broad down back.
Like your mids, though PO Keats and Mathieson and mills
Rucks can't argue.
Fwd not bad, swing brown down back – if you've got cash upgrade Conca

I charge $50 a word for my advice. :p

Turn Conca and Greene into like wingard/Dahlhaus and then a rookie.

I think Aish, Francis, Mills, Dea, Simpkin and Conca are all too expensive if you could manage to downgrade a few to rookies you could upgrade the remaining to proven scorers.

Not a big fan of crouch either but if you have a feeling about him you have to stick to your gut, McVeigh is supposed to be coming back from a niggle so I'd scrap all the players I've named and use the money from them to buy either guns or rookies.

Your midfield is wicked, wish I could fit in Parker but I already have Tom Mitchell.

Good luck

Francis, Dea – are not likley to play Rd 1 – watch NAB cup closly

Ollie wines or Parker/gray
Just have a feeling that wines will break out but not sure about taking the risk?

Just watch Wines under a bit of an injury cloud at the moment.

thoughts on jake stringer in our starting lineups community?? he is in mine.

What we reckon?

F4 obviously

Last year he needed 5 goals and 15 touches to get over 100 points and only managed it three times.

He kicked bags of four on five separate occasions and was not able to break the tonne once,

He has the potential to spend more time in the middle but so do all of the dogs versatile forwards and a string of mids fighting for spots in the side including;

Libba, Wallace, Dalhouse, Boyd, Caleb, McCrae, Bontempelli, Koby Stevens, Hrovat, Jong and Hunter.

Stringer is a high impact player and can rip sides apart but i don't think this year is his Gary Jnr break out year… could be wrong

The guy's a stud but it's hard to get too excited by key forwards from a Supercoach perspective as they can be notoriously up and down week to week.

So I would rather spend the extra $30K on a Greene/Stevie J/Billings type.

Could prove to be a nice POD for you but just not for me sorry.

totally agree but i dont see him as a tall fwd. 190cm, will play midfield/forward this year the bulldogs have said. he will kick goals and rack up touches. something special i beleive. thoughts?

Not sure I see that Jimmy. Plays more like a key forward for mine not an onballer.

Had about 14 touches per game last season which is similar to the JJKs, Texs and Petries of the world. That's what they have Dahl for to rack up the touches in the forward half.

Sure he had an impressive NAB1 against weak opposition but I'm not onboard…. at least just yet.

But you have to listen to your own gut and if you reckon you see a break out year from him then go for it!

Could you please rate my team and tell me what you would change?

def laird bartel smith aish mbrown(ess) mbrown(wce) (s collins k collins)

mid fyfe pendles ablett danger rockliff libba mills petracca (mathieson hibberd mcpherson)

ruck nicnat lobbe (wyatt)

fwd martin zorko barlow greene simpkin kerridge (cox tipungwuti)

thoughts appreciated

IMO, I think Goldstein is a must. Maybe try re shuffling your forward line to try and fit him in. Other than that, I don't believe that Mcpherson has been elevated off the rookie list to watch him closely.

Shake n bake

916349 is my league only join if your really into sc! l would like if you joined to Derek not many spots left.

i will join – regular top 5000

The Bundeena Bunnies hopped in to the 18th and last spot. Looking forward to the battle.

Shake n bake

Will be Derek great to have ya.

KK, Bartel, Smith, MBrown, Collins, Byrne-James (broad, tippa)

Fyfe, Danger, Pendles, GAJ, Rockliff, Wines, Libba, Gore (mathieson, cunningham, macpherson)

Goldy, Martin (wyatt)

Dusty, Barlock, Franklin, Kerridge, Kommer, Petracca (hunt, grimley)

What do we think??

Only about 15k left

That's a very strong midfield. Obviously leaves you weak on other lines.

Just watch KK and Smith closely during the NAB Challenge games, neither looked convincing.

join my league community if you are really good at supercoach and ussally finish in the top 1-2 % code is 865615 and derek would also love it if you could squeeze into my league

Finished top 1% Last year, thanks for the invite!

all good just want a really good league with lots of people that are really good at sc

Shake n bake

cant wait tnx pup.

G'day Higgo, My thoughts. Thats about the worst fake beard I've ever seen.

Can I have some help from the community?

What are the communities thoughts on Salem and Fantasia?

Salem could actually turn to out to be a superb selection as his game has heaps of Supercoach potential, it all comes down to the role he is given.

I probably don't have the plums to pick him myself at his tricky pricing but if he performs well during the NAB we may all need to have a serious look at him.

Yes a talented player cut down before he could really reach his prime.

Who do we think are the safest picks in defense this year besides Shaw?

I think McVeigh is a safe option when fit. I have Simpson – ultra consistent, you know what you will get. Other consistent performers are Bartel and Birchell. People say Bartel will be rested but he needs 17 games to join the 300 club, so I don't think he will be rested. The only problem with Birch is Hawks share the pill around a fair bit which means less points. Look at KK's second NAB challenge game to see if he improves his output.

Shake n bake

McGovern! with Brown & Mackenzie back has to free him up might even get a chance to pinch hit in the ruck. Had a few inj last year but is over them can score well & big!

I'm watching him closely, for the reasons you have just mentioned. Great hands and reads the play so well.

Mathew Jaensch has just retired from AFL, he may not have been the most SuperCoach relevant player, but his retirement will mean that Adelaide will have one less rebounding defender fighting for a spot which will have an effect on some popular picks

It is very said that he had lost passion, but will give Laird, Smith, Seed, Hampton more opportunity.

My thoughts exactly, it is very sad indeed and something must of changed significantly for him to retire at this time of the year.

Hi community, anyone considered Crowley?

Yea I have. Although Crowley has never been a high scorer, Essendon have said that they won't play him as a tagger. So depending on his Nab form, he may find himself in my side.

If given more of an attacking or ball winning role then yes he will absolutely need to be considered.

Not sure I'd be able to fit him in if both Crouch and Mills look the goods but he certainly shouldn't be dismissed at his heavily discounted pricing just like Macaffer.

if you love your supercoach and can make top 3000 join my league code is 865615

Really excited to see Danger out there tonight!

And kicking a few goals to boot. He is a lock in my side. he guy could go huge at Geelong this year. Nothing like being home sweet home.

I'm thinking of locking him in instead of Pendles at this stage

Thats what I have done. Its just a gut feel I guess. The amount of times I have flip flopped between Pendles and Danger is just ridiculous. I just think Dangerfield has something to prove at his new club. Back at home, at his home club, and in front of his real home crowd.

I am going with both, you flip flopped for good reason, both going to be in the top 5 midfielders, good luck

Thoughts on Mitch Duncan? considering him as M5 looks the goods as a POD

Like him a lot.

Normally I would say a good POD option. However……enter Patrick Dangerfield. Now you will have Danger, Selwood (x2), Guthrie, Blicavs, and a few others fighting with Duncan over SC points. Might be better mid POD options.

The only reason I like him is he will fly under the radar. But agree with Tophawk he will fight for points. I'm a geelong supporter so I'm biased though to my team aha

'Paulie Walnuts'

I've had M.Duncan at M5 all the time, he will make his points

It;s a game of 2 halves down at Kardinia Park at the moment, Collingwood's ball movement is impressive. Like the look of Cox, has done a few good things.

If someone could tell me who was on Swan that would be much appreciated.

I think wallys behind his ear!!

Great to see cats back. Maggots look ok.
Here's my take atm on a gnr team

Rance, T.McDonald, Bartel (Tucker)
Francis, Brown (ess), K.Collins (Broad)

Danger, Fyfe, Gaz (Mathieson)
Rocky, Parker, Libba (Phillips)
Mills, Gresham (Hibberd)

Goldy, Stef (King)

Z the Mag, Wingard, Winky (Grimely)
Simpkin, Kerridge, Petracca (McD-Tip)

Starting to think Danger is going to somehow fit into my team. Need to downgrade Shaw to Mcveigh to fit him in but I'll make it happen. Few POD's in Rance and McDonald which could work in your favour.

Shaw and McVeigh would be first def targets.
Pendles Priddis JPK Selwood + ??? mids.
Lids Chops Dahl + ??? Fwds.
Def causing pain for all I'm sure.
Got couple more templates for different structures. Can prob build a team in sleep now. Cheers.

Boys Lobbe or Sinclair

Lobbe prob not sharing points like sinclair but doesn't have dpp. Been pointed out that port has a fairly soft start? Lobbe if I chose

what a game of footy that was

Surely Mason Cox will play round 1 on that performance.

Remains to be seen with Cloke still to return.

Irregardless whether he plays Rd1 I think many coaches have now locked him away at R3 anyway, particularly at his sweet price plus bonus DPP swingman capability.

I'm seeing a lot of teams very similar, same structures, lots of common players. So what separates the top 1000 from the rest??

Could I get some thoughts on my team?

R. Laird – S. Docherty – G. Birchall / N. Broad
M. Dea – M. Brown – R. Bonner / M. Hartley

N. Fyfe – S. Pendelbury – G. Ablett – T. Rockliff / J. Jansen & D. Cunningham
L. Parker – O. Wines – B. Gibbs – T. Liberatore / J. Trengrove

M. Lobbe – M – Leuenberger / M. Cox

D. Martin – C. Wingard – M. Barlow / N. Kommer
J. Simpkin – S. Kerridge – J. Hunt / C. Petracca

Rookies obviously not set in stone, need to get them perfect for this structure to work. Holding trades and trying to generate cash quickly and looking to purchase a premo defender, ruck and forward around the byes. After that I figure my side will look alot like everybody elses, having only burnt 6 trades. More suited to league play than overall points probably.
