Round 10 Supercoach Scouting Report
Howdy folks, Barron Von Crow here and welcome to our Round 10 Supercoach Scouting Report. Well Round 9 was an absolute belter for some, with the best team scores up in the 2600’s and popular players such as Dangerfield, Fyfe, Wallis, Naitanui, Franklin, JJK, Beams, Shaw and Gray all knocking out massive scores.
There’s always been some bad news though and Round 9 wasn’t any different, with one of the most traded in Supercoach players in Tom Rockliff re-breaking his ribs and looks to be missing another 4-6 weeks, as well as the continued poor performance of Joel Selwood and the usual Dependlebury going missing again for the 2nd time in 3 weeks.
We’ll be coming up to the bye rounds soon, which will be another trying time for Supercoachers, but we’ve gotta get through Round 10 first, so let’s go and check out what’s in store for us this week!
Also, remember to look out for the red and green Supercoach scores, RED = bad, GREEN = good which may help you out when it comes to picking your captains for the week
Friday, June 5, 7:40pm @ Domain Stadium
Last time they met: Round 13, 2014: Fremantle DEFEATED Richmond 105-85
Key scores: Nat Fyfe 128, Nathan Foley 117, David Mundy 115, Brandon Ellis 114
Nat Fyfe continues to be the best player in Supercoach, with a score of 158 Supercoach Points last week his 3 round average currently sits at 144.0 points.
Aided by two monster scores, Bachar Houli was averaging 117.8 Supercoach Points between Rounds 1-5. Since then he has averaged 82.7 Supercoach Points.

Captain Pick(s): A rare Friday night game for the Dockers means Fyfe is a safe VC pick this week and will make deciding on the Captain a bit more of an interesting. Fyfe and Danger had an epic duel last week and I really can’t see him slowing down here. Cotchin has continued his yo-yoing form, with scores of 81, 162, 50 and 136 over his last 4 games. I suppose if that trend continues he’ll be due for a down game here, but that certainly won’t be set in stone. Brett Deledio has been the best Tiger Supercoaoch wise since his return, with a 3 round average of 136.3. If you don’t have Fyfe then he could be a nice option to consider as a VC pick here.

Last time they met: Round 10, 2014: Carlton DEFEATED Adelaide 81-76
Key scores: Kade Simpson 144, Dale Thomas 126, Sam Jacobs 121, Bryce Gibbs 115
Patrick Dangerfield produced the 2nd highest Supercoach score of 2015, racking up 38 possessions (29 contested), 9 clearances, 4 marks, 8 tackles, 6 Inside 50’s, 4 rebound 50’s, 5 free’s for and a goal for 188 Supercoach Points.
Never the most reliable player in Supercoach, but Lachie Henderson’s average of 59.1 Supercoach Points is a 6 year low for him.

Captain Pick(s): Patrick Dangerfield has been on fire the past fortnight, however Carlton have shown they’re quite adapt at shutting players down lately. Curnow kept Selwood to 89 Supercoach Points the other week and Mitchell, Hannebery, Parker and JPK were all kept to less than 100 points last week. Normally Malthouse has had Dennis Armfield match up on Danger because of his extra leg speed (and has done a decent job), so it’ll be interesting if Barker continues that or Curnow/Carrazo get a shot. You’d have to give serious consideration to Danger just because of his current form, but Taylor Walker is another option to consider with Franklin kicking 7.0 against the Blues last week.
Perfect 9 Pick: Patrick Dangerfield
Saturday, June 6, 4:05pm @ Metricon Stadium
Last time they met: Round 12, 2014: Gold Coast LOST TO Sydney 74-109
Key scores: Gary Ablett 149, Dan Hannebery 137, Josh P. Kennedy 127, Nick Malceski 116
Lance Franklin finally went bang in 2015, kicking 7.0 and scoring 149 Supercoach Points
He hadn’t been scoring well, only scoring 27 Supercoach Points last week, and getting suspended for Round 10 for drinking before games has only increased Charlie Dixon’s cold streak.

Captain Pick(s): Sydney had a pretty easy win last week, but in Supercoach terms it largely came off the back of Lance Franklin, with the usual brigade of Mitchell, Hannebery, Parker and JPK all scoring below 100 Supercoach Points. Still, they’ve all put up great scores this year and the Swans shouldn’t have any trouble knocking off the struggling Gold Coast. Franklin could be an option too, but despite their struggles the GC haven’t really had players massively scoring goals against them on a consistent basis, giving up a 6 goal haul to Josh Bruce and a couple of 5 goal hauls to Jamie Elliot and Eddie Betts.

Brendon Goddard continues to be one of the better forward line options, scoring 122 Supercoach Points last week. His 5 round average currently sits at 116.6 Supercoach Points.
Joel Selwood struggled again last week, scoring 79 Supercoach Points against West Coast.

Captain Pick(s): Based off of current form it might be tough to pick one here. Joel Selwood has a 3 round average of 86.0; Steve Johnson has a 3 round average of 85.6, Dyson Heppell has a 5 round average of 97.8 and Jobe Watson has a 3 round average of 79.6. I’d probably just avoid this matchup all together.

Captain Pick(s): Robbie Gray has been one of the best Supercoach players this year and he hasn’t looked to slow down now that Ollie Wines is back in the side. Lock him in for this one here if you have him. Luke Dahlhaus has also been very solid the past fortnight with scores of 124 and 125, to go along with the 136 he scored in Round 4 against Adelaide. Probably not enough upside to take a punt on him though.

Captain Pick(s): Rockliff will be missing for this one, probably leaving the Lions options down to Dayne Beams and Stefan Martin. Dylan Shiel has put up some big scores this year, but his highest score since Round 4 has been 121, but he could be worth a pick anyway. Heath Shaw was absolutely tremendous last week and could put up another big score here.

Double rucks on fire this week, with Todd Goldstein scoring 134 Supercoach Points last week and Nic Naitanui scoring 152 Supercoach Points and also took mark of the year.

Captain Pick(s): Goldstein VS Nic Nat will be an interesting matchup, they both scored well last week, but I’d be weary of picking one here and hoping one gets on top of the other. Could be a classic stalemate game. Priddis only scored 101 last week, but he’s been scoring well over the last month and can be given a pass for having 1 average game and JJK has been in some career best form and could certainly kick a large bag of goals on a good day.

Luke Hodge probably owed people in Supercoach for getting suspended, and he made up for it a bit last week scoring 130 Supercoach Points and is now the #1 defender in Supercoach.
The up and down nature of key forwards in Supercoach was on display last week, with Josh Bruce scoring 46 Supercoach Points and Jarryd Roughead scoring 52.

Captain Pick(s): Jordan Lewis is still looking like an iffy pick here, so many owners might look to avoid him in this one. Luke Hodge and Jarryd Rougheads are options to consider for the Hawks, although last week showed you the potential danger in picking Roughy. He could go for 150+, or he could score under 50, which is why you’d only ever use him as a VC pick. This late in the week probably isn’t ideal for that at all. On the Saints side, David Armitage has been scoring very well for the Saints this year, with 5 of his 9 games being scores of 129+.

Key scores: Lynden Dunn 145, Nathan Jones 127, Bernie Vince 113, Scott Pendlebury 112
Jamie Elliot scored 125 Supercoach Points off a fantastic 5 goal effort, which was his highest Supercoach score in over a year.
After scoring 81 last week, Scott Pendlebury finds his 3 round average at an uncharacteristically low 100.3 Supercoach Points after scoring 85 in Round 7.

Captain Pick(s): It was a strange game for the Pies last week, with them storming home in the 3rd, but both Pendlebury and Swan were sitting pretty poorly in the Supercoach Points department. Swan saved his week with a massive 4th quarter, but the same couldn’t be accomplished by Pendles, who had his 2nd poor score in 3 weeks. When he had a bad score in Round 7 he responded with a score of 135 in Round 8, something I think he can easily accomplish again. I’m sure many may have him as a Captain this week since he plays the last game, so lets hope he can get back to his very best!
Perfect 9 Pick: Scott Pendlebury
BARRON VON CROW’S CAPTAIN SELECTION(S):
It’s very difficult to ever pass on Nat Fyfe here, so he’ll be my VC. Usually I like to use that as a more speculative pick (like Patrick Dangerfield), but I have to lock him in one of the positions since he’s so good! So Fyfe will be my VC, one I’m fully expecting to utilize and then I’ll play it safer with Pendlebury as my Captain choice.
Oxley out Buddy in via Dan Mac DPP and Swan DPP
Boasts my points and doesn't effect my bye structure.
Looks good, Riley.
Thoughts on my team please. 80k in the bank.
Simpson, Shaw, Gibson, Newnes, Oxley, Saad, Lever, McIntosh
Fyfe, Selwood, JPK, Parker, Beams, Rocky, Treloar, CEY, Miller, Steele, McKenzie
Goldy, Maric, Read
Gray, Martin, Swan, Hogan, Tarrent, Clark, Lonie, Krak
My bye structure
Round 11: 9 out
12: 10 out
13: 11 out
Oxley to Hamling and then Miller to Lewis or Krak to Buddy?
Oxley to hamling and krak to buddy
bont rocky krakouer and clark out this week big trouble. I've never understood how people make it through the bye rounds with consistent scores but oh well. Any help on how long the four mentioned will be out for apart from krakouer as hes been dropped apparently. Having to play Saad or Newnes in the midfield this week due to injuries. 2200 last week and things were looking up but now i'm all over the place! any help appreciated.
Had to help without knowing your team but out of the 4 guys you mentioned I'd trade out in order Krakouer, Rockcliff, Clark, Bont to avoid a donut. Bont shouldn't be out for long, Scott said Clark will be 1-2 and his break even isn't that high. The other 2 I'm not too keen on, Rockys gonna be 4-6 weeks and Krakouer isn't named and has a huge break even so has to go. Hope this helps.
Don't worry about playing Saad or Newnes in the midfield for a week or 2, if it's gotta be done to avoid a donut, it's gotta be done.
I don't think Krakour will play anytime soon, he's been put on the rookie list as Frampton returns from injury.
Be careful with going Pendlebury, has been carrying an injury since the Geelong game.
Can still go big but wouldn't be as confident as I usually would be. In saying that, I'm still going Fyfe as VC into Pendlebury as C 🙂
Fyfe will be the most VC’d person this week in the history of SC
Most inexperienced supercoachers will just put the C on him.
I'd slightly worried about Pendles too, but I'm expecting that I won't have to use him this week with the VC on Fyfe.
I think Gray is a better C pick with a 5 round average of 133
Who are some trade in rookies this week and for next week?
Hamling, Boston, Steele, Goddard, Glenn, Leslie.
Is Glen playing
Thoughts on my post bye team?
DEF: Shaw, Simpson, Hodge, B.Smith, Newnes, Higgins
MID: Fyfe, Pendles, JPK, Selwood, Sloane, Lewis, Griffen, Rockliff
Ruc: Maric, Nic Nat
FWD: Gray, Martin, Swan, Goddard, Wingard, Hogan.
If everything goes as planned this will be my team with 9 trades and 100k in the bank after round 13.
What do you think community?
Looks the goods. I like Wingard as a POD, he's gone under the radar supercoach-wise this season. The only worries would be Newnes (whether he can keep up his good scores) and Griffin (whether he can find some consistency).
Thanks scrofl,
I agree and I will try to upgrade griffin after the byes
trading out touk miller but don't know who to get, I've got 550k in the bank, want it to be POD to climb in rankings was thinking
B.Ellis
M.Boyd
C.Ward
K.Jack
T.Greene ( i think he can explode like end of last season)
Out of them 5, Ellis is looking like a great POD selection.
Of those, I'd be going with either Ellis or Ward.
Think about Heppel, Lewis, Wines around that price. But out of those you have listed, Ellis
Greene is playing more forward, cant see him getting a run into the midfield unless one of them go down. Ellis or Ward would be best due to their hunger for contested footy (ward especially) however beware that ward may get some attention
Josh Bootsma????
Agreed Liam, could have a massive breakout season. Just needs to find some form. He could be a great POD, i reckon he will average somewhere around the 120-130 mark. Can see him getting some midfield time because John Barker is a big fan of Josh. He is simply a ball magnet and definitely knows how to find the pill.
Overall I would flip a coin over bootsma or boyd. Bootsma has a higher ceiling but Boyd has JS.
It's up to you though
Cheers
Should I trade out Bellchambers or Tarrant for Buddy? I'm leaning more towards Tarrant, as Bellchambers is in my FWDs in case Goldy or Maric gets injured.. but at the same time I know Tarrant will score better. Thoughts community?
If you have Bellchambers for ruck cover, Tarrant. Do you have Mitch Clark? I'd trade him out ahead of those two.
I would trade out Bellchambers ahead of Tarrant. If your worried about ruck cover, Brooksby is on the bubble next week and looks prepared to give us all the cover that we needed
You won't need Brooksby and TBC at the same time therefore I'd just trade him out now
50/50. As long as you hold Bellchambers at F7 you should be set.
Have 3 donuts this round, so i'm trading to avoid this
Krak is going down to Boston leaving me with 197k in the bank
Although i really want too, it is just to hard to hold Rocky with the upcoming byes…. therefore it's time to go. Can afford any midfielder
My current midfield premos are Fyfe, Pendles, JPK, Lewis, Rocky, Griffen
Thinking of Priddis or is he just too expensive, other notable players are Armitage, Sidebum, Danger, Beams….
Value wise priddis is a bit too much to pay for, But your going to have to wait quite a few weeks if your planning on brining him in. You only should bring in players for the round 13 bye due to it being 3 weeks away, so your going to get 3 scores instead of say 2 or 1.
Some options-Boak, Selwood, Ward,
I wouldn't mind if they played at least 2 games before there bye, so who would be best option out of Armitage or Sidebum? Leaning towards Armitage only because i already got Pendles and generally i like to have my premos in the one line all playing for different teams
Wines
TBC to Stefan Martin or Ivan?
Ivan has the man mountain this week
Ivan will run him off his feet. LOL
Couldn't go wrong with either but I'd go Stef Martin, top scoring ruckman I think at the moment so it'd have to be him. These 2 along with Goldy are the top 3 ruckman therefore you couldn't go wrong with either
thanks!
The Mullet
Neither yet, wait 2 weeks. The Bell has Geelong this week which is a team that ruckmen usually go well against (No HMAC, Dawson or Clark & Stanley is iffy) The Mullet has Sandi so I wouldn't be going there. Both players have Round 11 byes and Bell has Round 12 so it couldn't be better.
Great article just wondering what to do
Forward is gray, goddard, martin,, franklin, swan, clark, hogan, tarrant who to bring in and finish forward deledio or dahlhaus.
Also should i get rid of for him tarrant or clark
Also who should i bring in for miller boston or robinson
I'd probably prefer Lids at this point and his MID eligibility could be a help during the byes
if i go lids i have t trade out tarrant instead of clark tho
Is Krakouer to Amon a safe trade? Any better rook mids for the same price?
Dumont?
Who do you think has better JS?
Probably dumont because swallow is back in and he hasn't been dropped. Amon is still a good pick though
Ye a relatively safe trade
Dumont or Amon???
Flip a coin
Amon is the safer pick because Port have no gun midfielders to come back into the side like North do. But Dumont is a serious player and taking the punt on him could pay off big time. I’ll be playing it safe with Amon only because of the mayhem of injury and selections of late.
dumont for me
is Joel selwood worth a lookin??? surely the champ can't be down for long. or should i trade in dangerfield for Krak?
is Joel selwood worth a lookin??? surely the champ can't be down for long. or should i trade in dangerfield for Krak?
Wait until you see a few decent scores from Selwood before bringing him in, Danger a no because you'll only get 1 score from him before his bye. Bring in Danger after round 11
Selwood is a better option for the bye
Selwood is joining my team this week.
I'll be bringing him in after his bye so pre round 14
Great article just wondering what to do

Delicious as always. Going Fyfe and…well, who really cares. Wolf will be howling tomorrow night.
Just hope my Cavs can do the same tonight!
Fyfe this week has gotta be the number one locked VC in supercoach history, a 120+ from him would do me fine
I hate to say it to you Throtts, cause I know you're a true Cavs fan, but I'm hoping the Warriors win. Although they've probably gotten more bandwagon fans this year then the Cavs ever did.
Wha!?!? Why you favoring the fad team of the year, B?
Delly is more your type of Aussie than Bogut. C'mon, man! Pick the underdogs.
It's a tough one. My general dislike for LeBron is starting to influence my decision making process obviously.
He came home. Did the right thing. Has lifted the fallen city. What's not to like?!?
I'm still harbouring ill feelings about the manner in which he left in the first place, but I understand your point.
Believe me, I did for a loooong time. But he admitted he made a mistake in doing that. (should've known anything with Jim Grey immediately turns to sh*t.)
Would focus on the footy this weekend as I expect things to get pretty ugly at Oracle for the visitors I'm afraid.
School is in session bro! 🙂
Time for your little wine and cheese team to get shown how us steel eaters ball.
You should be afraid that no one on your team has been in the Finals. Lot a scared little boys gonna be looking up in the stands for help. Hope their wearing their home yellows…cover the panic squirts.
If Delly can take out Steph's and Klay's knees then I'd give your brawlers half a shot but otherwise you're screwed buddy.
Just too much depth and class for the Cavs to handle.
Obviously your addiction to all things fantasy has grown.
Your boys will have to man up and take the bruises. Then again, I always thought the Warriors logo should be an ascot and a tea cup. Team soft serve.
Cavs in 6.
Yeah going fyfe vc and rocky or heeney capt this week. Teen wolf will get the job done again tomorrow night – job done 🙂
Whats everyones opinion on Mitch Wallis ? Considering trading in for Rocky
I think it's a sterling idea Andy although it won't suit all coaches and their particular circumstances.
In fact I plan to pull the trigger on this one myself.
I like him Andy, im going Clark to Wallis via DPP to cover rockys 0 in mid while he is injured, think he will average 100+ for rest of season possibly M8 or good bench cover come end of year.
I'm bringing him in too, had one bad game, was injured in another, and the rest have been well over 100 avg.
Is it worth upgrading Grundy to Stefan Martin after his bye or should I wait until a later stage? Would be great for my bye structure
After round 11 is a perfect time
hey guys what do you think of my trades this week?
krakoeur -> hamling (via h. goddard dpp)
oxley -> hodge
would've preferred to wait until hamling was on the bubble but i had to find a rookie to downgrade to to facilitate the oxley -> hodge trade
Maybe instead downgrade Krak to Amon or Dumont, both looking at a major price rise this week
I would wait on Hodge, if you bring him in this week you'l only get the one game from him before his bye. I'm looking to upgrade Oxley to Hodge after round 11 just after Hodge's bye and before Oxley's
Fingers crossed, all being well this should be my 22 post round 12. Then it's just ride'em cowboy to the end (pending injuries/suspensions of course) Was as high as top 50 but faded away over the last couple of rounds [email protected]
DEF – Shaw, McDonald, Gibson, Simpson, Docherty, Taylor
MID – Fyfe, Pendlebury, Parker, Shiel, Lewis, Sloane, Rockliff, Griffen
RUC – Goldstein, Grundy
FWD – Gray, Swan, Goddard, Franklin, Martin, Bontempelli
How many trades left?
Your aware Rocky & Bontempelli are out this week. Actually Rocky is out for 6 weeks but im sure you knew this, Do you have Ellis Yolmen or Cripps for back up?
CEY and Saad as backup. Will have 10 left after all the above is in place.
Is trading out Krak for Daniel Robinson a good idea?
Would leave me with 210K leading into the bye.
He got 80 odd last week and this week he is starting on the field.
Thoughts?
Would steer clear of Robinson until he's played at least two games.
McGlynn will come back into that side and Bird has been playing well in the Magoos.
Also has to be a huge vest risk being one of those burst type players.
Nope. Unless you're looking to use Robinson as a perma-loop player. Heaney will be back soon. Unless Robinson goes crazy with the disposals, he'll be back in the minors by end of the byes.
Yes another spot will be taken up by Heeney too when he comes back after the Swans bye.
nearly at the halfway point of the year who do people think will avg in the remaining games the most – Top 8 defenders, mids, fwds
Defenders – Shaw, McDonald, Hodge, Simpson, Smith, Hibberd, Rance & Birchall
Mids – Fyfe, Beams, Selwood, JPK, Pendles, Sidebottom, Lewis & Ablett
Fwds – Gray, Swan, Franklin, Lids, Goddard, Mitchell, Martin & Dahlhaus
Once you come up with each line that must be your template for what moves you need to make to get as many as those players you don't have in your team as possible.
What are thoughts community, this could be a really useful tool.
DEF: Shaw, McDonald, Simpson, Hodge, Smith, Houli, Yeo, Hibberd
MID: Fyfe, Pendles, Priddis, Armitage, JPK, Lewis, Beams, Selwood
FWD: Gray, Goddard, Dusty, Deledio, Swan, Betts, Dahllhaus, Buddy
Betts is interesting i would be staggered if he came home in the top 8 avgs. Same goes with Yeo surely the eagles dont keep winning. Pretty similar names however. I cant believe Armitage is only in like 3% of teams the blokes is pumping out great scores every week but people dont pick him. In saying that I dont have him cause I think he is overpriced but he keeps delivering. Beams looks like he has turned the corner and back to his best. Just finding a way to get him in will be tough as i cant see him coming down in price to much from his current price. Enjoyed it mate. Anyone else got thoughts?
Def – Simpson, Shaw, McDonald, Rance, Smith, Houli, Hibberd, Gibson
Mid – Fyfe, Priddis, Pendles, Hannebury, Lewis, Beams, JPK, Sloan
Fwd – Gray, Goddard, Deledio, Franklin, Dahlhaus, Dusty, Wingard, Roughead
My Final team:
Shaw, Simpson, Smith, Hodge, Malceski. McGovern (res: Birchell)
Fyfe, Pendlebury, Gaz, JPK, priddis, Selwood, Sidebottom, Rocky (res: Beams)
Sauce, Goldy (Res: Maric)
Goddard, Martin, Swan, Gray, Delidio, Buddy (res: Bartel)
Who would be better to bring in this week out of J Glen and A Boston? Due to my trading plan I will probably bring them both in by next week as there isn't really any other options, so does it even matter which one I bring in this week?
Definately Boston because he's named, I've been waiting for Glenn the last couple of weeks but he's been nowhere
What's the trading strategy for all these injured/didn't work out/cash cowed to the limit players in my team? I've only got 2 trades and need thoughts about which 2 I should pull the trigger with this week? –
Oxley
J.Watson
Rockliff
Krak
Bellchambers
M.Clark
Salem
I've gone from having a fit list with a structured trading scheme over the next few weeks to having to avoid mass donuts or 1700 scores this week! I'm guessing Rocky is first to go because you can't hold that sort of money for 4-6 on the bench? Given his bye status who is a decent replacement? Most of the others I just have held onto hoping I'd get to the byes before offloading, but who needs to get the chop first? My mids probably need a further look (Rockliff, Watson, Krak on the bench atm, D.McKenzie on field – getting rid of Rocky solves the zero though). Rocky to ?? and Krak to Dumont for the $$? Fwd line I've got M.Clark and Salem on the bench, but having to play Bellchambers on field. Killing me…
I'm stuck!
I'm getting rid of Krak and Rocky this week. Trading in Selwood (almost same price), not sure of which rookie, might be hamling (via DPP)
Where is the community night boys?? Already getting withdrawals symptoms this week from No Mo supercoach news and not no community night to help get me through. Hope everything is alright uncle Jock??
Jock tweeted he has the flu so no community podcast this week mate.
The carnage continues and we haven't even had the late outs and injuries over the weekend yet!
Thanks SC – I missed the twitter stuff. Carnage is absolutely right. I am struggling to avoid donuts and if anyone is a late out I will be copping one at this point.
what? jocks been crock for like 3 weeks now. hope the father is OK!!!
Best foward rookie this week?
Thinking Goddard if he is named?
Goddard or Steele. Yet, don't count on either getting on the field. Both will be in time. And are good enough to hold a spot. But I'd wait if you can.
struggling who to pick as captain. got fyfe as the VC. My main midfielders are priddis, fyfe, pendles, boak and danger. thoughts on who to pick.
I am going VC on Fyfe and was going C on Danger if Fyfe does not produce. Its a bit of a risk as Carrazo shut down whichever sydney midfielder he was on last week I think it was parker who ended up with a 50 odd.
Now that I have typed it out here I have switched to Buddy as C if Fyfe does not get up. Gold Coast don't have many players left and are in a bit of turmoil so suspect the Swans will smash them.
I agree. there are going to be some high scoring swans this week. Only problem is who? so much quality and high SC scoring potential.
Tom Mitchell might be the forgotten swan mid against Gold Coast and smash out a 130+ while everyone runs around chasing hanners, Parker etc….
PLEASE HELP! Doing two trades but not sure what to do!!!
Only have 4k in the bank
DEF: McDonald, Taylor, Pittard, Hibberd, Oxley, McIntosh (Henderson, McKenzie)
MID: Fyfe, Dangerfield, JPK, Boak, Sloane, Saad, Ellis-Yolmen, Krak (Rockliff, Heeney, Lambert)
RUCK: Goldstein, NicNat (Read)
FWD: Gray, Martin, Goddard, Franklin, Tarrant, T. Adams (Clark, Salem)
Lot of guys who aren't playing this week.
Ideally I would like to do 1 downgrade and 1 premo.
Thanks
Krak for steele and swing him fwd for Adams who isnt playing then rocky for ? Should give you cover unless Oxley is a donut. Wallis if you want to save some coin
Or keep rock upgrade clark salem. Carnage
I have to agree with hedski here. Mitch Wallis looks too good to ignore given you're forced to trade to avoid 'doughnuts':
I'd consider;
Nathan Krakour > Mitch Wallis
Christian Salem > Bailey Dale
… +$75,000
If you were happy to let Taylor Adams go, or Tom Rockliff, then further possibilities open up.
Best of luck!
Krak to Amon and T. Miller to Wines. How does that sound? Not comfortable bringing in rookies that aren’t on the bubble yet. I’ll just play it safe.
Thinking something very similar but Dumont instead of amon
Krakouer to Amon and who should I trade out for Franklin? Oxley or Clark? Leaning towards Clark as have no fwd cover.
Will be left with 16 trades after this week.
Any more injuries and I'm going to be hurting during the byes.
This week
Out:
Salem
Krak
In:
Dumont
Amon
Outs this week: Goodes, Bont, Rocky, Clark, Read (doughnut)
Next week will dump down Clark, Goodes and maybe another rookie so I have cash to go bang bang bang during byes
Jordan Lewis for Miller or Buddy for Tarrent
Lewis has a Round 11 bye, can you wait?
Was wondering if I could get some thoughts on my team and some trade options?
How long is Rocky out for? Does he need to go? And which rookies if any need to go?
Def: Shaw, Smith, Newnes, Oxley, Saad, K Mac [Kelly, Mckenzie]
Mid: Fyfe, Dangerfield, Selwood, K Jack, Neale, Rocky, Cripps, Cey [Krak, Dumont, Boekhorst]
Ruc: Maric, Blicavs [O’Brien]
Fwd: Gray, Swan, Martin, Goddard, Bont, Clark [Dale, H Goddard]
Trade options
1. Krak – Glenn
2. Rocky – Any Mid
3. Clark – Any forward
4. Oxley – Any forward
5. Hold
Have 18 trades and 318K in the bank. Not sure whether to hold or do some trades. Was planning on waiting and doing lots of trades in the byes but now not sure.’
Help would be great.
Thanks
Whitecross to Hamling and Oxley to Simpson?
That leaves me with 8/12/10 outs going into the byes.. and 19 trades left.
I have Mitch Clark, Krakouer, Rockcliff, Lonie, Tarrant, Lonie, Cripps, Ellis Yolmen, McKenzie still to deal with through the byes.
Whitecross to Hamling won't make you much cash. Hold him as he is still likely to get games.
Krak back on Rookie list, needs to go first, make you a bit of cash.
Hey Derek, thanks for the reply.
You reckon Whitecross will get many more games, and even if so, that he will have any sort of reasonable price increase?
In his 4 games, he averaged 36.75 with a high score of 61 and actually dropped $1000 I think..? Got the vest a few times, and I reckon IF he comes back he's likely to get it again.. Still others better than him not able to get into the Hawks team.
they love Whitecross at Hawthorn. He is only 25 and will be in the Hawks game plan for the next few years. They are being very careful with his comeback. I'm not sure how much TOG he is getting with box Hill.
The hawks have a very healthy list, not many injuries, so that is why he hasn't played much as well. he is competing with Simpkon and Durayus for that small defender role.
Hold him, because the moment you get rid of him he will get named.
The other prob is I don't really know who to get in for Krakouer
I am actually seriously considering Lambert to replace Krak. For a few reasons. 1. He is only $102k, therefore you can maximise every cent out of your downgrade. 2 he will play when fit (maybe round 13-14). 3 He is DPP, so even if he sits on my bench, I can use him to switch other players around to fill gaps.
if I sell Krak, I lose my DPP in the midfield.
Steele? Dpp
is griffen to wallis a good trade?
horrendous.
hold til after byes, and double trade (upgrade, downgrade) for a top 8 mid like a sidebottom, beams, jpk, hannebery, danger, priddis. you cant expect the bulldogs and wallis to finish the season like they have started.
However, griffens 2nd half of last year was top shelf. might not even need to trade him… whats the risk so early in the season. if he drops below 400k. alarm bells
Cheers for that mate!
Ebert or Boak?
wines

had a average week and dropped out to top 3%
cheers!
Bennell from GC now out – season to forget
Rockliff to selwood? Or hold until he hits some form? BE of 126 but generally goes very well against essendon.
I'm making that trade this week. Selwood under $500k. don't wait.
will Dumont play this week? namaed… but on my super coach gold, instead of a green he has orange next to his name…
he is named on the extended bench, he should play but we wont know for sure til the team lists are finalised later on this arvo
Ox or Mcintosh on field?
I’m leaving Ox on the field with Mac on the bench with the E. If Mac scores big like last week I am going to swap ox for Lever via loophole.
ox wont play
I have Krakouer in the forward Line 121,000.00 in the bank and no DPP trade him out in the Midfield.
I'll get a doughnut in the Forward line if I don't trade him out.
Thinking of trading in Webb as I believe he has good job security.
HELP PLEASE !!!!
No Fyfe in my team (yet) so it'll be Gray into Pendles for mine.
After much rage trading I've double downgraded (Miller and Saad) this week which gives me a mighty $530K to take into the bye rounds.
With Krak and Clark not playing this week it means they hold their value and can be traded next week.
Bring on the byes!!
No fyfe here yet either. Thinking tex vc as smokey have danger but bit worried bout tag. Parker or gray for cap I think. Leaning towards Parker.
Saad still has a more than achievable BE, your better off trading miller and one of Clark or Krakour this week, and upgrade or trade Saad next week who will have gone up in value. Krakour and Clark being injured won’t cost you money, but won’t make you any either..Saad will make you money this week.
My bad. Traded Miller and Oxley, not Saad.
Going to upgrade krak and will have 504k in the bank.
Who’s a reliable choice in that price range? (already have Swan, Tarrant, pav, Mitchell)
Was thinking ziebell? Anyone else I should consider?
Is buddy reliable? Im not going near him
Lids? have been very happy with Gunston, he has been great this year avg 103 after rd 1…
Yeah had gunnas since start very happy
