Round 9 Supercoach Scouting Report
Howdy folks, Barron Von Crow here and welcome to our Round 9 Supercoach Scouting Report. Well, Round 8 certainly felt like an odd one, at least for me it did anyway. A limited number of injuries, Tom Rockliff belting out a big score, Steele Sidebottom returned, most of our players seemed to put up good scores.
Compared to previous weeks it all went pretty smoothly, not something that we’ve seen too much of this year. It almost makes me suspicious of what horrors could possible await us this week!
But I like to be an optimist when it comes to matters of Supercoach, so I’m going to look at this as the tide of good luck is turning in our favour and we’re going to get a nice little run going from here. So with that in mind, let’s go and have a look at what Round 9 in Supercoach has on offer for us!
Also, remember to look out for the red and green Supercoach scores, RED = bad, GREEN = good which may help you out when it comes to picking your captains for the week

Last time they met: Round 17, 2014: Sydney DEFEATED Carlton 122-51
Key scores: Josh P. Kennedy 140, Sam Reid 139, Bryce Gibbs 138, Mike Pyke/Marc Murphy 130
After failing to score 100+ Supercoach Points in his first 5 games, Luke Parker has scores of 119, 148 and 124 points over the past 3 weeks.
Lance Franklin’s 2015 season average of 88 Supercoach Points is currently 11.9 points less than what he averaged in 2014. But fear not Franklin owners, this time last year he was only averaging 65.3 Supercoach Points and from Round 9 onwards he averaged 114.6 Supercoach Points.

Captain Pick(s): Luke Parker has finally hit the form we expected of him, he’s currently running on a 3 round average of 130.3, which immediately puts him in VC/C territory. Daniel Hannebery has scores of 130+ in 4 of his 8 games and JPK has 4 games between 122 and 135 Supercoach Points and scored 140 last time these teams met, which we need to consider also. This is looking like the perfect game to pick a VC in if you own one of these Swans players, even Lance Franklin who hasn’t really torn apart a team yet this year, could be a good selection, if the Swans midfielders get on top, he could get plenty of supply up forward. The biggest issue we’re looking at facing in this game is which midfielder does Ed Curnow move to? He was all over Joel Selwood last week, so whoever he matches up on could be looking at a very low score. Let’s just hope it’s not the Sydney bloke in your side. First thoughts say he goes to Parker since he’s the inform midfielder at the moment, so the Curnow factor alone might make me think twice about picking from a Sydney midfielder here.
Perfect 9 Pick: Daniel Hannebery

Last time they met: Round 16, 2014: Hawthorn DEFEATED Gold Coast 116-63
Key scores: Gary Ablett 157, Jordan Lewis 142, David Swallow 127, Isaac Smith 122
Sam Mitchell averaged 122.5 Supercoach Points in the two games Luke Hodge and Jordan Lewis missed. He’s averaged 102.5 in the 4 other games where all three of them have played.
With the Gold Coats current injury list including the likes of Gary Ablett, Sam Day, Tom Lynch, Nick Malceski, Jack Martin, Trent McKenzie, Jaeger O’Meara, Dion Prestia and David Swallow the Suns have been forced to replace, on last year’s averages, 830 Supercoach Points per game.

Captain Pick(s): Gold Coast has been struck by injuries again, now losing Dion Prestia to a knee injury for the rest of the year, while Charlie Dixon still remains dead, but with the Suns injury list being so large, they need every body, alive or not, that they can muster. I’m sorry Gold Coast fans, but I can’t see this being anything but Hawthorn doing whatever they want, whenever they want in this game. If you’ve got someone like Lewis, Roughead or Hodge in your team, they could have a very big score here. Early game, so a VC pick is probably your best bet on someone like Jordan Lewis who could easily rack up 40+ possies.

Captain Pick(s): This game will be played at TIO Trager Park, which is up Alice Springs. Bernie Vince has been doing some good shutdown jobs on midfielders, he’s caused headaches for Patrick Dangerfield and Marcus Bontempelli owners this year, so it’ll be interesting to see if he gets a job shutting down Robbie Gray, who has been dominating the clearances (he leads the league and has 10+ clearances in 3 of his last 4 games) this year, or if he moves to a Travis Boak or Brad Ebert instead. Either way, this is an early Saturday game, meaning we’ve got plenty of other options to pick from, so you can probably get away with only putting a VC on Gray and if he fails, then you’ve still got your C pick up your sleeve.

Captain Pick(s): With Will Minson being suspended in the VFL, it looks like the Cordy experiment continues here. Mumford had 47 hitouts and 122 Supercoach Points last week against a quality opponent in Sam Jacobs and since Minson has been dropped, opponent rucks have been hitting way above their averages, with #1 ruckman like Jacobs, Pyke, Sandiands, Longer and Spencer combining to average 46 hitouts a game VS the Bulldogs. Compare that against the leading hitout average per game this year currently sitting at 38 per game to Todd Goldstein and you can see that guys bat above their average VS the Cordy and the Bullies. Mummy could have another big game here and of course, with him dominating the ruck work, it gives plenty of opportunity for his midfield to score big, so if you own Griffen/Treloar/Shiel/Ward you might think about using them also.

Since returning from injury, Brett Deledio has scores of 133 and 142 Supercoach Points.
Trent Cotchin came plummeting back to Earth last week. After scoring 162 Supercoach Points VS Collingwood, he could only manage a return of 50 Supercoach Points VS Port Adelaide, which is his worst score since Round 3 in 2010.

Captain Pick(s): Deledio has been fantastic over the past fortnight, so he could definitely be in for a repeat effort this week against Essendon. And despite their big win last week, there were a number of Bomber players down on their usual form, with Watson scoring 70, Goddard scoring 78 and Heppell scoring 82. That’s probably good from a Bombers perspective in that their lower ranked players stepped up, but not for us in Supercoach! Still, they’re quality players and you’d expect them to rebound and post back up towards their averages again this week. Still don’t think you’d look past Deledio on this one, but Dustin Martin can always surprise you also.

Key scores: Aaron Sandilands 154, Paul Duffield 130, Lee Spur 125, Matthew Pavlich/Stephen Hill 117
Fremantle players are the ones to pick this year in Supercoach. On average, the Dockers have had 3.25 players score 120+ Supercoach Points in each game and have at least two players do so in every game this year and a high of 5 players score 120+ in Rounds 2 and 5.
Nathan Van Berlo’s 2015 average of 65.2 is his lowest return in Supercoach since the 2006 season where he averaged 61.2 Supercoach Points.

Captain Pick(s): Lachie Neale has almost been scoring as well as Fyfe over the past month, with scores of 145, 133 and 141 over his last 4 games, so if you have both, it’d be hard to split them in this one. I’m a Fyfe man myself, so he’ll be locked in as the Captain for me, but Fremantle have had 9 different players put up Captain worthy scores this year, so you could just about pick anyone it seems. For the Crows, it’s looking like Patrick Dangerfield will be your best bet again, he scored 130 last week and looked to be in some good form. Adelaide will need him to play a blinder if they’re a chance of keeping up with the Dockers.

Captain Pick(s): Even Tony the Tiger was left speechless after seeing Jack Steven’s score of 171 Supercoach Points last week (it was better than great!), but it’d take a fair effort to get close to that score again. Tom Rockliff looked to be back to his best last week, scoring 120 Supercoach Points, bringing his 3 round average up to 102.6 and hopefully for the thousands of people who’ve traded him in, he can repeat that effort here. I’d say there’s a good chance he does. Dayne Beams looks settled in with the Lions now too, and is another option to consider.

Last time they met: Round 5, 2014: Collingwood DEFEATED North Melbourne 93-58
Key scores: Steele Sidebottom 155, Jamie Elliot 145, Alex Fasalo 138, Scott Pendlebury 128
After one of his worst scores in years, Scott Pendlebury responded with a score of 135 Supercoach Points last week.
Todd Goldstein could only manage 44 Supercoach Points against Aaron Sandilands last week, his lowest score since Round 22, 2012, a game where he also played Fremantle.

Captain Pick(s): Scott Pendlebury reverted back to his dependable status last week with a score of 135 Supercoach Points after scoring 85 In Round 7 and his last 3 scores against North Melbourne would certainly make you want to put the Captain on him this week. Todd Goldstein has been on a prolonged cold streak; he scored 44 last week and has a 3 round average of just 80.6, which is well down on what he averaged earlier in the year. I’d forget about him for a VC/C candidate and just hope he can go back to scoring 100’s again. Pendlebury is the one to go for.
Perfect 9 Pick: Scott Pendlebury

Joel Selwood was tagged again last week, this time by Ed Curnow, and was limited to only 90, bringing his 5 round average to 90.0 Supercoach Points.

Captain Pick(s): There must be something in the water out west, with Captain Fyfe being joined by Captain Priddis over the past few weeks. Priddis has put up useable (and 1 VERY useable) scores in the last 3 weeks, scoring 127, 196 and 128. I’d book him in for another score of 120+ here, despite his previous poor form against the Catters. Joel Selwood has had a very quiet fortnight and on the last game of the round I wouldn’t be taking a chance of him finally nailing a big score, although he is capable of doing so.
BARRON VON CROW’S CAPTAIN PICK(S):
I’ll be looking to take a slight risk with my Vice-Captain this week, slapping the VC on Lance Franklin and hoping he has a big game against Carlton. As for the C? That remains on the usual suspect in Nat Fyfe.
Any thoughts on whacking the VC or Captain on Scott Thompson from adelaide ?? Not that many coaches would have him but I am sure he would be a real POD captain choice this week.
He's been going well, I can't see him beating Fyfe unfortunately.
Could be an option for sure, he'll need to be on game for Saturday night, that's for sure.
I don't feel he can pop out a big score like we are hoping from our VC'. I think there are better options out there.
Great stuff Baron. I will be putting the VC on Gray and C on Fyfe.
Do you think Henderson to Hibberd is a good trade this week?
Ricky Henderson? Keep him.
Yeah, now that he has been named I will keep.
Gonna give Mumford a crack at VC against the Dogs. #fyfeislife, as always, has the C
Looks like Minson just got off, so he'll be lining up against Mumford now instead of Cordy.
Dogs bringing back Minson over Cordy which is more of a challenge for Mummy
Lewis VC loop to Priddis. BSF
I'm going Lewis as well, he will probably gather a lazy 40, but barely score 100 due to efficiency ahhhhh
Great article as always Baron was just wondering if a double upgrade from Cripps and CEY to Dangerfield and Priddis would be a good option this week?
I would say the boat on Priddis has been missed. At 635k, there is much better value elsewhere like Lewis (540k) & Selwood (520k)
Keegan Brooksby to debut for Gold Coast this week. Could be a downgrade option that we've been calling out for.
Hey guys how many trades should we have up sleeve after byes? Cheers
No set amount really, you just need to make sure you have some left for the end of the year when teams start messing with their teams and resting blokes.
Cheers. Been goin pretty hard reckon I’ll have 9 or 10 left.
Depends on your team structure and how many onfield rookies you have.
At the moment only have saad and one of krak cey or Clark on depending on who they play. should b just saad after byes for a bit
I am going Lewis VC into Fyfe. Bit worried Parker will get the curnow tag.
Was going with parker but worried about same thing. Any thoughts on gunstan vc as big POD? He’s been good and reckon could go big as hawks tear suns a new one.
Yeah why not he has been pretty consistent this year and getting a lot of possessions so if he can kick a bag could go big.
Had him last year mate and very solid until he got injured late. 1 spot left in my fwd line and if at any stage he goes under 450k he’ll be in.
Had him from start is a cracker. Getting lots of pill this year
Same here, If Lewis' efficiency is good, he will go HUGE
Jock, I tried three times to get my call-in through for tonight's podcast. Got through on the last attempt. It didn't say whether the previous two got through as I am having some problems with my laptop. If you see three on your speakpipe from me, its the last one. Just so you know. 🙂
Carrots and Curnow both in for the blues so I would stay clear of Swans mids as VC. My Blues are going to be slaughtered with no Murphy , Judd or Gibbs 🙁
Is it worth holding Cripps
I'm contemplating that too, but nobody else suitable to go to Rocky, so I guess he has to go.
keeping Cripps this week, expecting a 100 SC points
I reckon Parker or Jack will go 150+ Emma and I don't see Curnow or triple shot Carazzo having the strength to stop JPK.
Wouldn't be suprised to Carazzo get an offensive role and pop out a sly 140 either
VC On Buddy or JPK?
If you've got Buddy I think you have to VC him this week. I don't so will be choosing between JPK and Parker.
I like taking the risk on Buddy this week.
I agree. This week, I think this will be the cheapest to get him.
JPK for me, but there is not much harm in taking the risk
Paddy Ryder out with an achilles problem. Not good news for many players.
Nice article!
I’ll be going Fyfe as VC with Pendles as C. Hoping Fyfe goes huge then ilI use the Goldstein/Cox loophole.
That is exactly what I will be doing. VC on Fyfe and C on either pendles or Swan. If Fyfe get a biggie, then Goldy will be slapped on the bench with the big E and Tom Read will be placed in the field with the C on him.
Nice combo to run with for sure.
Hamling is named! Hopefully a rookie to downgrade to in coming week…
too bad I already have him :/
Dale has kept his place as well.
Jamming might be ok. He was in jocks rookie cheat sheets
Hamling
murphy, judd, gibbs OUT
really worth considering holding Cripps with the midfield time he will be getting with them out
Perhaps but it's still hard to see him tonning up at the SCG this weekend against a ruthless Swannies midfield with the Blues this depleted and at absolute rock bottom. Could be as many as a dozen Swans that ton up tomorrow night.
The Cripps –> Rocky trade still looks way too good to ignore this week for many. We'll soon see whether it's a roaring success or horribly backfires.
Im in the same boat
I'll be loopholing Cripps just in case he goes nuts on the tiny SCG like he did at the cake tin. No Judd over there either and smurph gibbs may as well have stayed home too for the amount of ball they got.
Who to field:
Mid: Wallis, CEY, Cripps, Miller, De Goey, or Krak (need 3)
Fwd: Lonie, Clark, Tarrant (need two)
Def: KMac or Dmac
What to do wih fkn Brodie Burnman Smith
Brought him in not cheap for Kolo and they have swapped their scoring since ffs
Dont know what to do this week, to trade or not to trade
Reckon you have to hold if you have bench cover. Smith is that cheap now that many coaches will be looking to bring him in soon so you just have to ride out this horror run as hard as that is.
I'm doing similarly with Sloanedog so I feel your pain buddy.
Mid: Cripps, Wallis, CEY
Fwd: Tarrant, Clark
Def: Flip a coin but probably Kmac
I know! Brodie is killing me…… If he's not named next week he's gone
Lots of 1st gamers this week
Hamling and Brooksby are the ones ive got my eyes on. Also looks like Amon and Dale might avoid the vest.
Lets hope there decent!
Hi community,
Is there now some real upside in holding Crippsy now that Murphy and Gibbs are out for the blues? Or should I stick to my guns and trade him out for Rocky?
Any thoughts appreciated.
I think you need to pull the trigger, Cripps has done his job and I can't see him outscoring Rocky.
Yeah I agree. Rocky is definately coming in this week regardless of whether Cripps stays or goes. It is merely whether Cripps might get more of the pill with the other two blokes out. If I spare Cripps, then Bontempelli will get the chop instead for Rocky.
Will it be Cripps or the Bont for Rocky!! Thats what I am pondering.
Its still Cripps for me, as Bonty has the DPP status, which will be vital for the byes.
Decisions decisions!
Cheers
I would not jump off the bont, bye just around the corner will be rested and could fire in second half
Definitely keep Bont
Who ever has the Bont should not be going off him at ALL, he is a keeper, move him to your forward line and leave him there and forget about it, he will average you 85 minimum year end which is great for a forward. This is only the Bonts second year playing at the elite level and he has really only had one bad game.
You guys are crazy wanting to jump off this kid. If you treated all your players this way including elite premiums you'll need 50 trades to have a chance at it.
I don't understand your thoughts on how you would even contemplate trading.him out.
Agreed
bont will have a big one this week i have a feeling!
I holding him anyway, hopefully he can shine in this struggling Carlton squad.
Oh man!!! They could get beat by 150 points
Don't understand the love for rocky. He's cheap because his scores are not 600k midfielder worthy. We still don't know whether his low scores are due to Beams, Christianson and other inclusions for lions or entirely due to being chewed up and spat out early on.
I want to see a 120+ from Rocky before I swap a bloke who's already gone 160+ this season for him
Trade in Kade Simpson will get a shit ton of the ball in the back line of Carlton and will get a run in the middle he's cheap low BE and will be a top 6 back with a high ceiling. Thoughts?
For Sure.
Agreed. Had him from week 1
Had him since day 1, loved his effort last week and hopefully he does it again tomorrow
He is a legend I love him and should be blues captain next year. Follow what the doggies did and give it to the spiritual leader. Its to much of a burden for murphy.
Good trades, had him sense week 1 and was getting annoyed with his slow start but hopefully he can hit out some consitent 100's with the big score every so often.
He should be a top 6 defender.
Bailey Dale or Connor Menadue?
Neither. Wait for a good rookie to come along.
If you are desperate though I would go with Bailey Dale
Not sold on either but probs Dale
Amon over both of them i reckon.
Any reason why Brodie Smith isn't playing?
Looking to get him in for saad pre round 12 as a straight swap
He's had 2 concussions in a 5 week period. They'll be very cautious with him.
may not play until after the bye
Hi community,
What about this one for the Captain's loophole this weekend.
Put the VC on Fyfe and the C on Rockliff. If Fyfe goes huge, take the C off Rocky, put Goldy on the bench as an emergency, and play Tom Read as captain.
If Fyfe has an off day, then sit back, relax and watch the Rocky go to work.
Cheers
An interesting one, i'd go for it
Still don't think you can put the C on Rocky to risky hasn't shown enough.
Would love to go Fyfe into Pendles but all my Sunday players are named
Still debating out of Lewis or Gray VC with the Fyfe C as always. (A loophole without Fyfe = stupid)
I feel Gray is best for VC unless you have Kennedy then its a toss up.
I'm undecided as to which way to trade this week, at first it was easy as was going to go with option 2 but now that LONIE is named to play this week, im now leading towards option 2 because Lonie will lose quite allot in cash & I don't want to lose the cash I made from him..
For what it's worth my midfield is almost completed as I currently have: Fyfe, Pendles, Priddis, JPK, Beams, Dangerfield, Parker, Cripps
Emergencies are: Miller, CEY, Heeney
OPTION 1
LUMUMBA out HIBBERD in
LONIE out DALE in
Which will leave me $176,700 in the bank
OPTION 2
CRIPPS out ROCKLIFF in
LUMUMBA out HIBBERD in
Which will only leave me $1,200
Advice greatly appreciated.
If you have plenty of trades, option 2 looks the better of the two. It has more purpose and makes more sense to me. Cripps to Rocky is a very powerful option. Lumumba is just a dud and Hibberd is running into some nice form. With many newbies being named this week, it might be be worth draining the bank balance this week. You might get a better deal for Lonie in a few weeks with a few debutants on the bubble. Not sold on Dale.
Cheers
Cheers Tophawk I dont have plently of trades , I have 21 trades left prior to round 9 , so I will have 19 trades left after round 9 which I think is fine…
Option 2 definitely!
Cripps could go big with more time in middle but Rockliff will go bigger
I totally agree with you on Rocky going bigger then Cripps, however Rocky's price won't go up a great deal, I think he will only increase by $10k upto $20k tops. However someone like Lonie will drop at lest $20k minimum.
I totally understand where your coming from though, it's a tough one.
A few good rookies getting a go this week, Kolo, Hamling, Clurey. Good to see some rookies getting a go and hopefully keep getting games so we can downgrade to them.
I mean im now leading towards option 1 because LONIE is listed
VC Gray, C Fyfe
That's what im doing although im tossing up putting the VC on Kennedy
I was unlucky enough to bring in Smith when he scored me a 16 onfield and he will now miss this week as well as last, but now have to trade goodes out for hamling to have some cover in defence.
Who should i be trading out for rocky this week out of Tarrant, CEY or Miller?
If Smith ain't named next week he's gone
Upgrade Miller, he's slowing down
Probably Taz but it's a close call so would look at your bye structure and if you are super heavy one week perhaps let that influence your decision.
Miller, he has the biggest BE of the three. Tarrant & CEY still have some money to make in coming weeks.
Miller cos he has Hawthorn & Sydney next 2 weeks and we all saw how Vandenburg and Hogan struggled against these teams before re finding form last week. As good as he has been I can't see him being worth more than 375k by the byes.
I would be keeping miller he is going to get more time in the guts with so many suns mids out
G’day guys
Looking for a downgrade from J Lonergan to a secure low price Mid bench rookie to free up some cash to trade Cripps up to Dan Han. Any suggestions?
There is Menadue from tigers but he hasn't been great
Is it time to trade Lonie?
If you can go up yes but don't trade him down
No I would be keeping him until round 12 then trade
I'm holding myself as I'm not smitten with Dale as a downgrade prospect heading into the byes. Has a little more cash to be made for those patient enough, once that 3 cycles out of his pricing.
Doing the same, Lonie is capable of averaging 75-85, when that 3 fulls out of his calculation his price will better reflect his value in SC.
Kolodjashnij, Hamling, Howe, Luxford, Marsh, Barrass, Brooksby, Robinson all playing their first games this week (squads permitting) and Bailey Dale keeps his spot.
As a wise man once said – “The rookies will appear.”
Thinking of holding trades this week but can anyone talk me into trading Salem down to Bailey Dale?
I cant. Salem is a warm body during the byes, whereas Dale is probably a 50% chance of playing the bye rounds.
Agree Donavan, Salem will come back and maybe add another 50k or more, we cant get sucked into trading unreliable rookies
Thank you, gents. Will hold.
dwongrade option for brett goodes? doesnt seem much in the defence area. also trading out ryder who's a longterm ruckmen to bring in? got little options down back and options galore in the ruck! help me decide pleae
Hamling or Kolo down back. And Maric, Goldy, Blicavs, Sauce if you dont have them…
Hamling for defence. Goldy or Blicavs for the ruck.
I would have said Hamling but he just now seems like the perfect Round 12 downgrade of either Saad, Oxley or McKenzie.
Jack Leslie as a possible downgrade option in DEF????
tom clurey? will play for the next month or so until trengove comes back
I have seen no one look to trade in franklin? price has bottomed out, surly a big score this week to get his BE lower and to start gaining cash again? thoughts on lonie to franklin? or lonie to dale makes more sense?
Go for it!!!!
Buddy!
Only 1 thing stopping me from trading in Franklin…..I already have him.;
Lonie to Franklin makes way more sense!!!
Brang him in last week and he scored me a 47 and lost me 2 league games, but I am still happy with my selection and feel he will be a top 6 foward. This is the best time to get him and id say trade him in
do subs come from interchange or can they be from players listed in the 18?
whoever they choose an hour before the game
Most of the time from the interchange, very occasionally from the field
anyone
thanks … gws bench looks good this week! none of them will get the vest!
i think the bont will come out and play a ripper this weekend for the dogs after a poor performance last week… to c or nor to c is the question…
Not
Probably not
my dilemma is i don't have the cash to bring in Rockliff in this week.
The option is trade down one of my fwd rookies – Hogan, Tarrant or Clarke. Obviously looking at Tarrant. And trade him to Lambert from the tigers should be only a few weeks away and pending on how he returns in the VFL he maybe playing by rd 13.
This would then free up enough cash to upgrade Miller to Rockcliff and leave me $120k in the war chest leading into the byes.
Have 20 trades so after this will have 18. I will then not trade rd 10 & 11. The double up rd 12 & 13.
Thoughts community. Is Jack Steele a better option? Dale from WBD?
Id trade out Hogan or Clark, not Tarrant, tarrant has has one poor week and a handy rd13 bye.
And I feel Dale is the best option to trade down to.
All 3 have the Round 13 bye Youngy! The Miller to Rockcliff part sounds great. Only problem is the 3 names you've thrown up to trade out are really good cemented players but the 3 trade in players you've mentioned are not. You need warm bodies during the byes and these guys are not. Are you sure there is no other way to make the cash? McIntosh maybe?
What to do with Tarrant!! Dont have a one flippin clue. Have 378k in the warchest so can get anyone but should i hold or what?!
Also have 20 trades.
Tarrant has a little more cash to make. I would hold until after round 11 then trade for Deledio (if you dont have him), or wait the extra week and get Franklin.
Holding $378k in the bank is crazy… This game is about scoring the most points not who has the biggest bank account…
Regarding Tarrant you have to hold him, he has scored 107-121-78-78-78-36 so far and his Break even is only 79 so he should go close to making his break even or quite likely to make you some cash.
If that's your only query then you must have a awesome side. Trade in a ELITE PREMIUM you have far to much cash doing nothing for you.
Could you upgrade someone else. Tarrant has a handy rd13 bye.
You should probably upgrade someone tho cause you do have a lot of cash in the bank.
You badly need to go BANG BANG this week with that much bank.
Yes upgrading Taz would be one good move but you should be looking at two major upgrades this week.
May not play? Thompson on Cloke, Hansen on White, no need for Tarrant. wouldn't be surprised if he isn't named when the team's finalised and they chose to go smaller.
Would trading Tarrant to Hooker using goddard to swing be a good idea?
Should I bring daul in??
What are people's thought's on Jack Leslie(DEF) this week played 2 games, 148k Be -8, average of 40
Thoughts community
Not sure why you would consider him Youngy as he just got dropped this week!
Lonies been named.
Bugger.
Now I have to decide whether to hold him or downgrade him.
He's a lock in our best 22
same.. can actually see him doing alright though.. brisbane are a bit hot and cold this year.. he might kick 2 or 3 and hopefully get above 80 which is ok . won't lose much
Does anybody know what Amon's JS is like?
Was thinking of trading Salem to Amon by swinging Titch fwd and then upgrading Cripps to Shiel / Pendles
I'm thinking Tarrant to Amon to get cash for Rockliff. Port rate him highly and without Cornes, maybe a spot opened up for him.
I have buddy as vc who should I put capt on? Lewis Kennedy Fyfe pendals goldy?
Sorry not Kennedy!
Shouldn't take the C of fyfe!
Clurey and Hamling both getting first game this week, plus Kolo named on extended bench. We could have our defence downgrades in a couple of weeks.
Surprised Goddard not named
McBean looks good as forward upgrade next week
Keep close eye on them
Not really, Goddard would be lucky to get a game for us this year. Sam Gilbert's most likely in the best 22 and Tom Lee's playing well down back for Sandringham. Would take a lot of injuries for him to get a game.
Happy to see Clury, Hamling, Kolodjashnij named though.
Vice captain on Gray, jpk or lewis? Cheers
Gray or Lewis. Half of Carlton's team are taggers but maybe that'll change with a new coach.
I disagree, I think JPK would be a good option as murphy, judd and bryce gibbs are out. personally im going franklin VC for loophole.
Maybe Luke parker would be a better option but he might get the hard tag
ok.. how many trades do most people have left?. I'm not making any this week and got 22 left… still decent? or should i slow down
Karl Amon. Do u think he will take cornes spot or used as a super sub because of his speed?
Looking at getting Rockliff into my side. Who should I get rid of out of Cripps or A Swallow?
Wss all set to go Cripps to Rocky. Now rethinking everything. Lewis is extremely tempting. Reckon he could go huuuge. Plus a lot of people talking about Cripps pumping out a big score. Arrrrgh, I'm back to square one!
Still holding Z Smith on bench.. Is he any chance whatsoever to get a game soon?
I still have Lonie. Do I just hold him and hope for some gains down the line. His BE is 101, so he's gonna bleed cash for a while. But it hardly seems worth selling the bloke.
Unfortunately I have TBC as R2. What are your views on Jake spencer ruck from melb?? Only 344K ave91 last game 115.
thinking of trading TBC for him, using Spencer to rise in value up to his round13 bye, then trade him for a premo like Jacobs, Mumford or Maric who I think will fall in price again over the next 4-5 weeks. I just cant see TBC going up, in fact is likely to start bleeding cash.
Is this sound SC strategy? what do you all think?
don't take notice of his 115, was up against cordy and roughead. more likley to average in 70s maybe 80s.
try upgrade TBC to a prem now, trading to spencer is a bit of a waste
Hi community,
Just wondering your thoughts on these trades
Out Cripps and Bont
In franklin and Rockliff
Or
Out Heeney and Tarrant
In Rockliff and brooksby
In either trade, I will get Rockliff but with Syd playing Carlton Friday, is the temptation to get buddy because he might score big. To get him though, have to give up two very good players in Cripps and Bont
Which is the best option community
Why are you looking at getting rid of the Bont? He had a bad game last week but will make up for it this week I reckon.
Hi Andy
