Ethan · 26/05/2015 at 22:38

after this video im befuddled by what i should do with my trades
Taz has to go
Is it worth building up a war chest. Or going to lewis or rocky if i trade out Cripps/CEY

    @wheels_1987 · 27/05/2015 at 08:19

Tarrant does not have to go.
I say hold. and heres why
He has had a good average the whole season.

    Last 3 Rd Avg
    Last 5 Rd Avg

    Current Avg of 83

He copped his 36 playing FREO and lets be frank, Freo are a machine.

Show faith, like the rest of the North boys they will be looking to fight back

His BE is only 79 – No reason why he cant hit that, and if he goes beyong the BE he will be a keeper until the bye rounds.

    Prj $ Change

Is is worth spending a trade for a Projected loss of $3k?

I say no. This week is one of those weeks to hold trades for the upcoming BYE rounds

      Ethan · 27/05/2015 at 09:31

i see your point but is he going to gain more cash before his bye. I dont really want a rookie who's stalling in price when fallen premiums are there for the taking

        @wheels_1987 · 27/05/2015 at 09:48

        thats the million $ question.
if you can swap a Mid DPP into your FWD line and upgrade tarrant to a premo MID then do it, but all i wanted to do was point out that Tarrant is not a MUST move on player this week.

If you cant upgrade Tarrant to a Premo Mid this week i would suggest holding and see what happens over this weekend. one more week of data can be more benifical than a non-forced trade

          Harry · 27/05/2015 at 11:12

I agree wheels. Can't just do reactive trades because of 1 bad score. Remember lachie Neale scored a 45, treloar a 46, cotchin's had a couple of bad ones. Even the premos have had bad games this year except Fyfe

            @wheels_1987 · 27/05/2015 at 11:28

Fyfe DID have a bad game though

            scored a disgusting 107

nick · 26/05/2015 at 22:38

I am thinking holding onto Jessie Hogan till round 13 when he has his bye and bring in a big fwd have 154 k in the bank and planning on not making anymore trades till then in the 3 byes I have 18 20 then have 19 when I trade Hogan what u reckon and also thinking of tradeing gregson for maybe a steve j as I just bought rocky in for cripps or I could get armtige just have see as I think gregson will ht 450 by round 13 your thoughts

    LEKD0G · 26/05/2015 at 22:58

I like the Gregson pick and I'd hold both him and Hogan as long as possible aka until their byes. Don't like the Steve Johnson pick though, to up and down.

      nick · 26/05/2015 at 23:05

yeah I picked gregson up when cam ellis got hurt and know he is making money I am planning on holding onto those 2 and maybe Oxley till round 12 13 etc and I probably wont pick the stevie show might jump on Sidebottom hope his price drops etc

      the sprinkler · 27/05/2015 at 02:09

Hey LEKKERS- you understand that something had to be done???? And they sacked MM and you understand??? And you haven't seen the good times???

Do you understand today HOW MUCH this decision has put the club back? And that for 10 years Carlton has been poison??? And that we have 10 board members (yes TEN) who are so full of themselves that this is going to go on and on??? And that this board will ultimately poison the new coach with their constant interference??? And that they had too much say in what MM did and didnt allow MM to build a culture???? And that they ALWAYS have their fingers in the pie??? And that until Loguidice, Pratt, Fahroud, Trigg (who the board for some reason employed this RORTER from 2 years back knowing our history) and Geminder the poison will keep flowing down the tree???? And that Since Carlton went from 6 board members to 10 we have had NO success???? And that the whole time Kernahan was on the board we had no success????? And that we have an ELITIST Pres and CEO who couldnt give 2 faacks about you and me and are just resume building????

And that the Carlton members are so weak and pathetic that they have let this happen again…… AGAIN i say????? And that there are Carlton members who ACTUALLY believe that with this new start everything will be OK????? That everything will change?????? That Carlton board and some fans think sacking the most experienced coach in the game for a teams poor performance is the coaches fault???? When the Pres and CEO interfere so much that MM and minute say in what was going on????? Ohhhh yeah did I mention that the board has their fingers in the pie when they are only there to market and administrate on the clubs behalf and NOT to coach the team, the coach or the football committee?????

That Carlton employed Silvagni to work with MM to rebuild the team???? And then they fire MM before Silvagni even arrives???? And that SOS is probably already thinking to him "oohhh geeesssss– why did I ever bother coming back to this rabble????

Well mark these words- if the media dont scrutinise the board and ridicule them to the point that they resign or there is a forced Emergency General Meeting (which the CArlton members OBVIOUSLY CANT do on their own) then Silvagni will NOT be at the club in 2 years as he WONT put up with their [email protected] or interference…. and then we will be exactly where we are today….. but only it will be 2 years down the track!!!!!!!!

And this new coach WONT last either- he will be poisoned and overseen by this incompetent and pathetic board from day 1……… and until the Carlton members DEMAND this board be dissolved and reduced to a maximum of 6 (preferably 4) board members, and those fat cat ar5e clowns serving there now and sacked then LEKKERS my friend you will NEVER see success at Carlton- and believe you me that Saints and Bulldogs lifelong supporters understand that pain- and understand that it is quite possible to live your WHOLE life and NEVER see success at your football club!

Carlton is EXACTLY where we were 15 years ago and what success have we had in 15 years???? None……. and because we are now back at day dot… 1.. dont be surprised that if this board isnt dismembered and reduced in size that in 15 years there is a high chance we still will have experienced no more success!!!!!

You say you are happy watching Cripps and Docherty play?????????

What about the last 10 years when we had a younger Judd, Gibbs, Murphy, Simpson, Fevola, Betts, Garlett….. and you are happy to see 2 'could be very good players' run around????

It is time this mediocrity ended at the club…….. and once again- if this board continues to exist then NOTHING will change…..

Beacause Carlton members dont have the balls to change anything all we can do now is sit back- fingers crossed- and wait for the media to do the job for them. Let Caro, Barrett, Robbo and all the other haters who crucified MM at least get this board fired….

RIP The Navy Blues for the next 5-10years or until the board is dissolved.

Has Carlton got better under Mick?

Does Mick have another game plan for when things go wrong?

Have any players actually had solid progression since Mick was there?

Yes I agree the board is rotten, but getting a great developmental coach will benefit our team more than Mick.

        WombatsFC · 27/05/2015 at 14:03

Don't renew your membership mate. That's how you send a message. I stopped mine the day they employed that has been malthouse. No coach in the history of our game has turned so many champions into ordinary players.

        LEKD0G · 27/05/2015 at 14:25

I don't disagree with most of this

          the sprinkler · 27/05/2015 at 23:51

sweet- im glad you read it. and glad you mostly agree.

reading it back now it seems like i may have been having a go at you but quite the opposite. i feel the stress you are feeling and hope you too get to experience a Carlton flag that you remember and also experience as an adult and not a child.

sad thing is yesterday when MM got fired the Carlton facebook page was filled with mostly angry comments towards the board. Now today with Barker doing his press conference everyone is like "go Blues, lets put some effort in against the Swans and for the rest of the year and make a fresh start"

Problem is it still isnt a fresh start until the ridiculous board is overthrown. Yes it is OK to hope for better- but it is already sounding like the fans think we are at a fresh starting point when nothing has changed and we are down an experienced coach.

It already seems the fans are ready to roll on with this board, and thinking that all will be rosey from here when once again- nothing has changed.

I hope the media destroy this board!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS I am a massive fan of the LEKDOG πŸ™‚

            Get Tom Elliott as Pres.

        nick · 27/05/2015 at 16:14

I will tell u where this is started back when john Elliot was the prez and the club lost all those draft picks for 2 years and they pick up chirs judd trade out kenndey u tell me this how many years and times have carlton done wasted trades and picked up crap players and they didn't look after favola when he played which is sad as he would have won a flag for carlton

      @wheels_1987 · 27/05/2015 at 08:24

    @wheels_1987 · 27/05/2015 at 08:23

Cory Gregson has a BE of 58.
Swapping him for Stevie J is a huge risk, but potentially huge return.
My opinion would be to hold Gregson until you can bring in a Full Premo

Holding Hogan is a great move. BE of 24

    Last 3 Rd Avg
    Last 5 Rd Avg

I moved him on last week for K.Jack. I did this as JACK had bottomed out in price and was a good POD pick away from Hannebry and JPK. Did not pay off unfortunatly but thats SC

      nick · 27/05/2015 at 16:19

I am thinking of bring I rough head or some big fwd for Hogan the gregson one think I could hold onto him until after the byes and he will get around 460 then bring in a big premo like pendels or someone like that

L.gibbs · 26/05/2015 at 22:49

Which forwards should I get in? Delidio, Goddard, Dahlhaus or Devon smith? Better options?

    LEKD0G · 26/05/2015 at 22:57

I like Goddard as the safest long term option

    @wheels_1987 · 27/05/2015 at 09:17

Goddard. Proven over many years and no injury worries of lids
without lids injury concerns i would say lids.

    Rawkus11 · 27/05/2015 at 16:46

I'm a fan of Dahlhaus. He's on my watchlist for after his bye. But i wouldn't be trading in any of those players until they've had the bye!

I N Pieman · 26/05/2015 at 22:55

Nicely done Lek. Not a great day for the blues & your coping well it seems. The sidebum call is interesting. Only

2 games he’s played have been in Qld against the 2 far north teams who are struggling. Not the best read into form. But from what I’ve seen he looks cherry ripe to head to the next level. Nice one to put out there

    LEKD0G · 26/05/2015 at 22:59

Yeah I realised that he hasn't had too much competition after I made the video but I still think he'll be a solid selection, watch this space on him

We're all well and truly rucked · 26/05/2015 at 22:59

    Sidebum dominated last year also

    @wheels_1987 · 27/05/2015 at 09:26

Post bye for those crazy SC players who dont have pendles, should look at sidebum as a POD.

@KingWinter7 · 26/05/2015 at 23:01

I have 17 trades left but an almost premo side…..
I'd be stupid to trade this week right

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 27/05/2015 at 08:58

We must have a different opinion on almost premo?

    @wheels_1987 · 27/05/2015 at 09:29

i wouldnt be trading this week, but you really need to get Saad into your DEF line and get Brown out.
If you have warchest you really need to upgrade Brown to a Premo Mid ASAP, so if you burn one trade doing it this week then so be it.

Krak in your Mids is another problem. Next round you need to trade Krak FWD or OUT and bring in Premo MID

The Bont · 26/05/2015 at 23:02

I'm gonna try to summon all my willpower and hold trades the next two weeks, then probably use 9 in the bye rounds, which will see my with 11 trades and hopefully a full premium team going into Round 14.

The only issue with this is that my team is maybe a bit weak at the moment so it's gonna be tough to hold off until Rd 11.

    @wheels_1987 · 27/05/2015 at 09:30

im in the same boat. going to be so hard

      Youngy · 27/05/2015 at 10:10

Ye I have 6 onfield rookies and it's hard to hold off trading them

        @wheels_1987 · 27/05/2015 at 10:19

6 on field rookies.. can you post your team to dissect??

          Youngy · 27/05/2015 at 15:51

          sure here you go

Maybe I have 7 rookies onfield. Have been hit with injuries quite a bit so far this season so I haven't been able to upgrade my team as much as I had hoped

22 trades, may use 2 this week (to get Rocky cause only got 30k in bank) and try and hold for the next 2 leaving me with 20 trade at r11 bye.

            @wheels_1987 · 28/05/2015 at 16:09

can you swing Krak into your FWD line, and upgrade Tarrant to a Premo MID
i would be doing this ASAP

your DEF line looks good, but i notice no Oxley, im guessing you have traded him out for Simpson, if this is the case and you can reverse that trade, hold Ox

But u need to get Krak into your FWD line and get another Premo mid ASAP otherwise pretty good team

    nick · 28/05/2015 at 13:41

I think this year is a shocker for me every week I have had 2 players hurt and ha d use trades but how every my team is starting to look good just have get rid of harry o

Dan · 26/05/2015 at 23:08

Getting caught with no warchest and no decent rookies buhhhble is frustrating. Got 25 trades and sitting around 2000 overall so guess not all bad.

See if he gets named this week.

Dean · 26/05/2015 at 23:20

Lekdog. I have seen the forecasts and note this week is the week I must get in Pendlebury. Are there any good downgrade options? To free up some cash

    LEKD0G · 26/05/2015 at 23:58

wait til team releases but Dale or one of the Gold Coast boys should be an option

    Jacob · 27/05/2015 at 00:08

Have a look at Trent Dumont. If he isn't named with the vest this week you could trade Tarrant straight to him. He's in his second year of senior footy, works hard and his VFL numbers have been ridiculous, particularly in his tackling. He's on the bubble this week but its no big deal if he avoids the vest this week and socres well because his be is 17 due to his sub effected games.

      Leon · 27/05/2015 at 17:05

be careful with Dumont…. not only is he a vest target but will most likely go straight out for swallow in a weeks time. Always work out who the rookies are in for. If it's a injury make sure it's 3 plus as it's too hard for them to find their feet in time to hold their place.

    @wheels_1987 · 27/05/2015 at 09:31

    My opinion is no

Look to see if any players are getting their first go at it, but current bubble boys are trash

deesnuts · 26/05/2015 at 23:20

Do we upgrade players like cripps miller tarrent mcintosh now or wait until they have there bye?

    Donavan · 26/05/2015 at 23:39

If you can upgrade, and still have coverage for the 3 bye rounds, I think do it.

I am going Miller to Hibberd, same bye round, but Hibberd wont be cheaper, and I think Miller's price will fall slightly. Also if you havent got Rockliff yet, he is a must.

    scrofl · 26/05/2015 at 23:48

Hold. They're not going to decrease in value, they'll stay around the same mark. Who knows, they could even pull a Vandenberg and go massive.

    The Bont · 27/05/2015 at 00:25

I reckon wait. All still have cash to earn and Cripps, Miller & Tarrant are scoring well.

    Jimi · 27/05/2015 at 00:29

I'm holding all of them, but that's also because I'm down to 18 trades. having said that I don't think they will change much in price in the next 2-3 weeks.

    @wheels_1987 · 27/05/2015 at 09:34

    hold all

    especially Cripps

    BE 85

    Prj $ Change

even if he stinks it up he wont loose too much $$$

trades are worth more right now than anything

    Youngy · 28/05/2015 at 15:56

Agree also you should probably hold, but it all depends on your situation.

Glorin · 26/05/2015 at 23:26

Hey Lek dog,
what your opinion of McGovern. Want to bring him in for Tarrant and use his dPP during the byes. He would end up a back line premo. Worth the money at around $445K AND 95 ave?

    LEKD0G · 27/05/2015 at 00:00

If he's fully fit he's worth a look, really like him as a player but not confident he'll average 95 all year

    @wheels_1987 · 27/05/2015 at 09:35

    agree with Lek
we need proven SC players in our teams

    @wheels_1987 · 27/05/2015 at 09:37

that said i do have Higgins and he is anything but a proven

If you dont have higgins i would potentially look at McGovern
owned by 5.7% of teams but a BE of 88

i would advise hold until after his byes

throttlefinger · 26/05/2015 at 23:45

        Saints supporter since 1980.
        – Finished on the bottom 15+ times I reckon since then
        – I was there in 1997, on the boundary where Aussie Jones stormed down the wing and kicked that great goal. Thought "We might win this!"
        – That same day, same end, Jarman gets hold of Jamie Shanahan, kicks five IN THE LAST. Game Over. 4 hour trip home with the Crows song in my head the whole way. SHANE BLOODY ELLEN KICKED FIVE!!
        – Oh yeah 2009, game should have been over by half time. Dawson's spoil goes straight to Scarlett who toe pokes it to Ablett, Chappy goals. Game over.
        – Oh yeah, 2010, Goddard takes what could have been mark of the century if we got up, again thought "We've got this!" seven points up with 4 mins left in the game. Milne bounce of the ball… that is all.
        – Got towelled up by the Pies the next week. Do you know how humiliating that is?

So before you say how bad you blokes have had it…. I present the following as evidence that Saints supporters have had it rough at both ends of the game. At least you can watch a winning grand final in colour :/

I'm torn community, not sure whether to go either Cripps to Selwood or McIntosh to Hibberd this week. Thoughts?

    @wheels_1987 · 27/05/2015 at 09:44

    Hold on all fronts mate

Selwood has a BE of 129

Hibberd is a good pick with a BE of 51. and r12 bye

If you can afford it go Hibberd, but my theory is upgrade your MID/RUC and FWD line first and leave DEF until last. just depends on your structures and plans

      jezzahill · 27/05/2015 at 11:54

Yeah I'm not too keen on upgrading defence just yet, but Hibberd's price I think makes him a 'must consider' player. Plus he has the same bye round as RIchmond so it doesn't affect my bye structures. I think Birchall is another one I will consider after his bye, but other than that I'm holding on defence. Selwood will definitely come in next week.

    Dools · 27/05/2015 at 10:19

    Jezz good question !
K Mac to Hibberd – Hibbard has his role back, will it continue I don't know but the 400k price tag is worth it for his potential, I doubt he will be cheaper then now.
Jelwoods B/E is 130 ish perfect for next week Then do the Cripps deal

Carlton would have to be the Ross Lyon of SC Coaches. More likely to punt on a fallen premo than put in a genuine cash cow to grow throughout the season. Avoid.

      TheCompletePackage · 27/05/2015 at 16:52

Didn't they just try the fallen premo? I think they might go the cash-cow route with a Woosha type in the handholding position.

Nicholas · 27/05/2015 at 00:14

Hey community,
Just wondering what i should do this week i have 260k and a potential double upgrade. I could go ibbo to tmac and cripps to parker. Wondering what you guys would think is my best bet this week. I have 19 trades and not happy with defence right now.

Def- shaw, taylor, saad, ibbo, mcintosh, lever( leslie, hamling)
Mid- fyfe, priddis, selwood, grifen, lewis, rockliffe, miller, cripps (cey, krak, d mckenz)
Ruck- goldy, nic nat (read)
Foward- gray, martin, franklin, goddard, swan, tarrant ( hogan, clark)

here is my bye structure:

Round 11- lever, rocky, cripps, lewis, martin, kmcintosh, hamling, cey-8 players out
Round 12- swan, goddard, fyfe, ibbo, miller, saad, leslie, franklin, dmac-9 players out
Round 13- selwood, clark, taylor, griffen, shaw, priddis, Hogan, krak, gold, Tarrant, nic nat, gray, read- 13 players out
i want to fix up round 13 but not sure how
Thanks for your help and time

    @wheels_1987 · 27/05/2015 at 10:00

Hold your trades this week mate.

Tmac – if you didnt have him last week i said avoid. even more so now

    BE of 111
    Played 8
    Rd 8 Score 85
    Total Points 893
    Avg / Round 111.63
    Last 3 Rd Avg 110.67
    Last 5 Rd Avg 110.20
High Score 12 Low Score 85

Yes his stats are impressive but i will not entertain him.

If he keeps this up until his round 13 bye then i will call him a proven premo, but i need more data then less than half a year of a potential break out year.. my strong advise is save your money and spend it in your MID FWD RUC area.

There are better, fallen options in DEF

    Brodie Smith
    Position: DEF
    365,400 +0 -137,400

    Michael Hibberd
    Position: DEF
    406,000 +14,400 -85,500

Also Adrew Walker and Malceski once they return from injury and play a game or two

      @wheels_1987 · 27/05/2015 at 10:01

Parker is the better option with a BE of 57. and he will score better than Tmac for the rest of the season

      Played 8
      Rd 8 Score 124
      Total Points 820
      Avg / Round 102.50
      Last 3 Rd Avg 130.33
      Last 5 Rd Avg 113.40
      High Score148 Low Score 77

Always look for value, especially in DEF

        Nicholas · 27/05/2015 at 11:08

        So just cripps to parker?

          @wheels_1987 · 27/05/2015 at 11:26

          yea i reckon
then next week or post bye look for Kmac to B.Smith. avoid Tmac.

CashCows · 27/05/2015 at 00:37

With the lack of downgrade options and times when your hand is forced, would it be smart or madness to trade in players who are expected to get a game down the track?

jake kolo from geelong, goddard from saints to name a few.

    Mighty_Hondo · 27/05/2015 at 03:18

It seems from GCS' tweet noted above that Glenn might be a good one to get in as he seems likely to keep playing. Otherwise I think smart to hold off for better rookies unless as you say your hand is forced.

The One Ring · 27/05/2015 at 01:01

Lek here is a great article on why Malthouse had to go.

The Thomas decision alone was enough to axe him. Especially when you factor in we could have kept Betts for almost half as much. Then we give up pick 7 for more list cloggers. Re-sign Ellard and unbelievably give Liam F’in Jones a 3 yr f’in contract… 3 yrs WTF?

    The One Ring · 27/05/2015 at 01:05

Forgot to mention he axed Garlett for attitude issues. Yet at Collingwood turned a blind eye to the antics of Didak and his bikie mates, not to mention Heath Shaw.

Mighty_Hondo · 27/05/2015 at 03:16

Hi community, I am wondering whether it 's worthwhile trading out Cripps and either Heeney, CEY or NVB this week to get Parker and Glenn in. I am worried that Parker is going to keep increasing and Carlton and Adelaide players might take a hit in price this week against Sydney and Freo respectively Althouigh CEY and NVB have low break evens. So am minded to get rid of Cripps and either CEY or NVB. NVB stood up this week, any thoughts why? I also wonder whether CEY is vulnerable now after doing a hammy? Still scared from bringing in Rioli shortly before he re-did his hammy last year.

Otherwise I can hold off on the trades until later with the view that CEY and Cripps will likely rise in $ at better rates that Parker over the medium term. I am looking at Parker as my 2nd last keeper to finalise my mids. Already have Fyfe, Pendles, Beams, Rocky, Lewis and Selwood.

Thanks heaps.

    @wheels_1987 · 27/05/2015 at 10:02

Heeney and Van Berlo should have been out of your team weeks ago

post your team so we can dissect

      Mighty_Hondo · 27/05/2015 at 11:29

      Cheere Wheels.

On NVB and Heeney, their prices were not high enough to do the one up and one downs I wanted to execute. So they remain. I've also got Lambert coz he's been useful to swing. Team is:

Mcdonald; Shaw; Murphy; Oxley, Newnes; Saad (Andrews; Lever)
Fyfe; Rocky; Pendles; Beams; Selwood; Lewis; Cripps; CEY (McKenzie; Heeney; NVB)
      Goldy; Blicavs (Cox)
Gray; Swan; Bont; Martin; Tarrant; Belch; (Lonie; Lambert)

      Thx again.

        @wheels_1987 · 27/05/2015 at 11:45

CEy has a BE of 50 so hold.
Glenn i would wait to see the teams. he may not be selected
You could upgrade Cripps, but his BE is 85 and he can make that
Or depending on your warchest trade someone like Swan into your MID, trade out Heeney for a premo FWD (DPP)
Next week or into the byes you can then swap Swan into FWD line and upgrade a rookie FWD to a Premo MID

Heeney is a must out. High BE and injured

          BKW · 27/05/2015 at 14:32

Solid advice but Heeney isn’t a must out – his price isn’t changing while injured and I’ve been using him for loophole purposes – I’ve had other priorities so he remains on my mid bench

            @wheels_1987 · 27/05/2015 at 14:58

            expensive loophole…

          Mighty_Hondo · 27/05/2015 at 23:45

Thx Wheels, good advice… Heeney is gone.

dave · 27/05/2015 at 06:41

hey LEKDOG, what do you think about trading cripps to priddis this week?

    BKW · 27/05/2015 at 09:15

I just read a tweat the Gibbs and Judd are both out this week, and rain is forecast for the game – I’m holding Cripps, should play more in the guts and he loves the contested stuff

      BKW · 27/05/2015 at 09:17

Scrap the weather bit – only looks like possible showers now

    @wheels_1987 · 27/05/2015 at 10:04

im not Lek, but heres my 2 cents

You have missed Priddis. too expensive now, you missed him when he bottomed out and now you are chasing points.

look at these potential optins instead.

    Selwood, J
    $517,300 $-14,900 ($-132,600)

    10. Zorko, D
    $411,700 $-34,100 ($-120,200)

    14. Barlow, M
    $491,600 $+12,200 ($-108,800)

    Sloane, R
    $513,300 $+0 ($-103,600)

    Sloan after he returns

      LEKD0G · 27/05/2015 at 14:31

After Priddis' bye i'll pay whatever it takes to get him but until then the man is just too pricey

      SCaddict · 27/05/2015 at 17:23

Yes Wheels too many value options to pursue instead rather than compromising your team to get Pridda in now.

Hey Lekdog, thoguths on Ollie Wines? I good upgrade target. Can get him this week for tarrant, cripps, miller or CEY. Also have enough cash for selwood as well but breakeven 131

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 27/05/2015 at 09:05

Hold a week Ollie will b cheaper next week and the rooks won’t change much in price.

    @wheels_1987 · 27/05/2015 at 10:05

Wines has a BE of 133
    hold until post bye

What does everyone think about trading Tarrant to Dale to get some cash?
Or just hold all my rookies until the byes?

    Chi Chi · 28/05/2015 at 20:52

I've done it and it isn't sitting well with me but I need to make some cash. Dale seems like he might get games.
Although now that B Goodes is on the pine I'm thinking Webb will get regular games at the dogs. He is listed as a FWD at 188k

Who to field this week Tarrant or Clark ?

zeesus · 27/05/2015 at 09:09

Lek, love your vids mate. Always look forward to a hump day post from lekdog.
This week I'm thinking Cripps to Rocky and Oxley to Brodie Smith.
This is the only way I can afford Rocky and I believe Smith will come good. But I'm losing 2 strong rookies in the process. Thoughts?

    Sarah · 27/05/2015 at 11:30

Keep Oxley for now. Do that trade after Smith has had his bye. He'll still be cheap.

You won't go too wrong and he is a nice POD. I think there is better value out there though and there is stiff competition for points in the Sydney side

Luke · 27/05/2015 at 09:58

community, should i:
a) wait until rocky has had his bye and bring in parker this week
b) bring in rocky this week, and then either bring in parker or sidebottom in round12/13

    BKW · 27/05/2015 at 14:39

Difficult decision – I grabbed Rocky last week so getting Parker this week.

Rocky has the round 11 bye while Parker and Sidey have the round 12 bye. Which suits your team structure better?

If you hold until after the bye Rocky will likely be $520k plus – Parker should be over $600 by then also.

Rocky is the more undervalued option so maybe grab him?

    SCaddict · 27/05/2015 at 17:25

Get him in now especially if you still have Cripps.

Surferboi · 27/05/2015 at 10:04

I had Bont to Lids locked in, this week. You have me second guessing now though. They both have the round 11 bye, Bont has peaked and lids has hit his lowest. I don't want the bont at seasons end, is it really that bad of a trade?? thoughts?

    Youngy · 27/05/2015 at 10:31

You need to hold The Bont.

    Sarah · 27/05/2015 at 11:33

If you don't want him at seasons end then it's up to you when you trade him. Not sure Deledio is the best option though… his calf/achilles worry me.

Youngy · 27/05/2015 at 10:36

Which rookie out for Rockliff? Miller, Cripps, CEY, The KraK or Vandy?

    Danners16 · 27/05/2015 at 12:03

Cripps, all the others have a higher chance of going up in value

    derek · 27/05/2015 at 12:19

I have same decision and I'm going Cripps to Rocky

Bob · 27/05/2015 at 10:40

thinking of the following trades
Tarrant to Bliclavs moving bellchambers to the forward line/back up ruck. will score about the same as Tarrant for the time being.
Miller down to lever via the dpp off McKenzie to make the extra cash.

Not sure I want to trade out miller just yet but that's the only way to make extra cash to upgrade my ruck. lever seems about the best cash cow option at the moment.

    Danners16 · 27/05/2015 at 12:37

Sounds good, could wait a week and get Goldstein cheap, but Blicavs is a good option

      Bob · 28/05/2015 at 11:57

Already got Goldstein. so just wanted to boost the rucks and leaves tbc as a backup

COMMUNITY need some assistance this week

backs – shaw, oxley, kolojasni, newnes, mcintosh, lever, brown, hamling
mids – fyfe, pendles, beams, parker, selwood, griffen, saad, miller, cripps, yolmen, mckenzie
rucks – goldy, maric
forwards – gray, d.martin, swan, goddard, salem, clark, tarrant, krakour

With 23 trades left and 225k in the bank
Potential trades I'm looking at are

cripps to rockliff
tarrant to dahlhause
that will leave me with like no cash in the bank
should i look at getting rid of the tosh / brown for hibberd now
also i need saad back in defense after swinging him in mids week before to get lever in
or should just the cripps to rocky trade be enough and hold my trades leading up till byes
think i want to leave 1 mid spot open for a premo dropped in price at the bye round

going for overall rank and sitting just outside top 5k (sitting comfortably in my leagues)
thanks community any other suggestions please let me know

    Rick Grimes · 27/05/2015 at 11:52

For me the must buy this week looks to be Rocky, and Cripps is nearly a straight swap, so go for it. Looking at your team you are light on defense, so if you were going to make a second trade I'd go Brown to Hibberd/Kelly. Next week look at Unloading McIntosh as he's nearly tapped out, maybe via a Saad swing. But consider that Brodie Smith will be going really cheap in another week or two. Tarrant appears the biggest doubt of making his BE, but it's still below his average and you have to factor he was playing Freo last time out. So I'm gonna hold on him.

Viper · 27/05/2015 at 11:07

Looking at bringing in Deledio this week. Already have 5 premos in fwd line he will be the final one. Should I upgrade tarrant or salem? I know salems out for another couple but that just means he won’t lose any money and he has a lower breakeven than tarrant.

Also looking at lumumba to Simpson?

    Danners16 · 27/05/2015 at 12:35

Upgrade Salem, Lumumba to Simpson sounds good

    I N Pieman · 27/05/2015 at 13:00

Gday Viper I'd be very wary with Lids. Dimma said he's a week by week proposition at best. One good score from Simpson is good but he playing in a rabble. I'm ridding my team of Blues players ASAP. I'd pick Hibberd ahead of Simpson personally.

What do you guys think of Luke Shuey as a POD option either him or Jordan Lewis as my next upgrade

    Swans2012 · 27/05/2015 at 11:30

J Lewis by about 15points per game, shuey just hasnt seemed to take it to the next level like we thought he would a few years back…..

    Danners16 · 27/05/2015 at 12:02

Shuey is a good POD or B.Ellis is another underestimated POD who hasn't scored under 90 yet this season

Flanno · 27/05/2015 at 11:39

TRIGGER HAPPY · 27/05/2015 at 12:17

With no real downgrade options is it worth taking a look at lever? Very good disposal efficiency and pretty good JS at the moment. Can trade for cripps then next week go Miller to ward, wines, danger heppell who r all around the same price. Feels like a good move to me if no new rooks appear this week? Thoughts.

    northernsoul74 · 27/05/2015 at 12:45

I think you've missed the boat on Lever. I wouldn't be paying over 200k for him now. Hard but Id hold and wait for someone else to emerge over the byes.

      TRIGGER HAPPY · 27/05/2015 at 13:03

Yeah not sure same price as biggs and I think lever is a safer pick. Got r11 bye which helps as Def is r12 bye heavy and if avgs 70 will be worth $320k at end of byes but not really looking at trading him just need bench cover going fwd, and gives me dpp to swap MacKenzie into the mids.

        Sarah · 28/05/2015 at 11:08

If it fits in with your structures and you've got a good feel about it then I say go for it. I'm loving the look of Lever. He's looking like he'll turn into a very handy player.

Mitch · 27/05/2015 at 12:51

Love your work as always Lekdog.
As much as you have strongly said don't bring in anyone other than Rockliff, surely we have to look at Buddy. I can see him kicking 25 this week against Carlton and 35 next week against Gold Coast, maybe more haha. This would see him rise significantly, he has a handy run home and although a highish breakeven, a handy player to have for a potentially plateaued Robbie Tarrant. Thoughts?

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 27/05/2015 at 13:08

Rumoured he is playing injured but like your thinking will love the bye this week sorry Lek and GC next week. If it feels right and u have the trades go bang. Tarrant will go down next two then back up next two by end of byes if he posts decent scores next two weeks.

    I N Pieman · 27/05/2015 at 13:22

I'm also interested Mitch. At under 450 there is value to be had. Buddy is usually good for 4 or 5 monster scores each year. He hasn't had any yet. The next few weeks he could go monstrous. Will go very close to replacing Tarrant for me this week.

      Derek · 27/05/2015 at 13:28

Buddy needs a rest to get his ankle right. Carlton might be a rest for Buddy.

Not to panic, the Rookies will Appear!.

There are plenty of Rookies who will get games in the next 4-5 weeks.

Menadue, Dummont & Amon are all on the bubble this week, but not great JS.

Steele, McBean & Kolodashnij are almost certain starters this week. All looking the goods as well and might play plenty of games once they get picked.

Blakely, H Goddard & Laverde are all close to getting a game and I wouldn't be surprised to see them this week or next. All carving it up in the seconds and should get plenty of games once they get the call up to the firsts.

Port need to find a defence replacement, so Clurey & Colquhoun come into calculation for their first games.

Scharenberg, Moore, Viojo-Rainbow, Sicily are other possibilities but might be a few weeks yet.

There is also Stretch, Glen20, Dick, AhChee and Boekhorst already had a game or two will certainly get more games soon. Hiscox at any other club would be getting games.

There will be Lamb & Lambert coming back from injury soon. maybe 3-5 weeks for them

Nelson, Anderson, Towers & Cockatoo are likely to get games and are around $155k, still rookie priced.

Don't panic……….We will find our downgrades!!!!

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 27/05/2015 at 13:31

I guess we all need to look at the teams on Thursday night. If none do appear this week what do u think about my earlier post on trading to lever?

I will be shocked at least one of H Goddard, Kolo and/or Clurey don't get a game in DEF this week.

As always sage like advice. Hope u are right. If picked give Em a couple of games and pick the best option. One of my cows needs to go soon so I can go TBC-GOLDY in Rd 11.

    I N Pieman · 27/05/2015 at 13:33

Nathan Freeman & Caleb Daniel could also pop up. I'm also certain plenty of rookies will appear. Just none really appealing this week or probably next. I really do think the intrim coach at Carlton will be asked to play the kids & see who is much chop & who isn't. I'm predicting a list turnover at the Blues again. Viojo-Rainbow should get a go. Hiscox & Dick have been stiff.

      TRIGGER HAPPY · 27/05/2015 at 13:35

      Pun intended? πŸ™‚

      Jambo · 27/05/2015 at 20:42

Freeman pinged his hammy again last week… who knows when he will be back. My thoughts are not this season at least. I reckon Dumont has decent JS with Swallow's injury and the resulting gap. C'mon Brad Scott, play the kid on the ball!

    derek · 27/05/2015 at 13:41

does anyone know how Hamling from the Dogs has been going? I think he is more of a key position defender, so don't think he will get Goodes spot. I can't find anything on him at all.

Abraxas · 27/05/2015 at 14:28

Hibberd, Hooker Or Simpson? Leaning towards Simpson but just not sure

    derek · 27/05/2015 at 14:49

Hibberd is a 85-90Sc at best.

Last year he had 3 scores over 100 and the year before he had 4 over 100. Very consistent but don't expect anything better than 85 on a regular basis.

Simpson can score very well, like last week when he gets involved in the guts.

      Abraxas · 27/05/2015 at 14:54

Agreed on Hibberd. Thoughts on Hooker? Averaging 96 with 5 100+ games

    Gryffindor · 27/05/2015 at 17:22

Simpson out of those 3 but i'd wait till after byes for defence upgrades just to see who the real premiums are

deesnuts · 27/05/2015 at 14:53

Is no one considering franklin this week?

    T-mitch · 27/05/2015 at 16:27

The one fwd target this week should be lids, feel for those who started with him and have to waste 2 trades to bring him back as he will be a top 5 fwd

      TheCompletePackage · 27/05/2015 at 16:56

Lids is too risky. Can do without that kind of stress.

Traderlyf · 27/05/2015 at 14:55

i have 18 trades left… trading cripps to rocky this week and going to have to resist the temptation to trade until byes…

    T-mitch · 27/05/2015 at 16:28

    Down to 18 already, ouch

      Traderlyf · 27/05/2015 at 23:51

      yeah not good

brook · 27/05/2015 at 15:18

looking to upgrade a mid this week. rocky is obvious choice but who is best of mundy, hanners, jpk, sheil, lewis, beams, ward or danger … bye is not so relevant as i have some flexiiity

    Traderlyf · 27/05/2015 at 15:34

    Gryffindor · 27/05/2015 at 17:21

Lewis, will score 150 against Gold Coast

T-mitch · 27/05/2015 at 15:39

One trade this week

Mark · 27/05/2015 at 15:45

Hey community,

Thinking of going Clark to Dale and Rich to Wines or B.Ellis
Rich to Glenn and J.Anderson to Wines or B.Ellis

Advice is appreciated

    Gryffindor · 27/05/2015 at 17:20

Don't go to Dale, will be sub or be dropped with macrae and hrovat to replace him any week now
Glenn will be a good downgrade and if you don't have Jordan Lewis i'd get him over Wines/Ellis otherwise Ellis hasn't dropped below 90 and will be a very good POD

TOM · 27/05/2015 at 15:46

Thoughts on my team? $114,000 in the bank. Not sure what trades to do.

Shaw, Gibson, Simpson, Newnes, Oxley, Saad, McIntosh, Lever
Fyfe, JPK, Beams, Selwood, Parker, Treloar, Cripps, CEY, Steele, Miller, McKenzie
Goldstein, Maric, Read
Gray, Martin, Swan, Clark, Hogan, Tarrent, Krak, Lonie

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 27/05/2015 at 15:55

Go with the crowd cripps – rocky or Miller – rocky

    Gryffindor · 27/05/2015 at 17:19

Cripps to rocky or cripps to Jordan Lewis, lewis will be HUGE against GCS this week and you have just enough to get him

James · 27/05/2015 at 15:55

Miller to Rocky or Cripps to Rocky

    Mark · 27/05/2015 at 16:00

    Cripps to Rocky

    Gryffindor · 27/05/2015 at 17:17

Cripps, Touk is Gold Costs only uninjured midfielder essentially

Jimmy · 27/05/2015 at 15:55

Thoughts on McIntosh to Kolo from the Cattas? Looks good in the VFL and Scott has said he will be playing quite soon, maybe even this week.

    Gryffindor · 27/05/2015 at 17:17

Wouldn't risk it, always wait for the bubble so you know job security

Liam · 27/05/2015 at 15:57

Is rocky a must this week?
If so who is a better option to trade out tarrant or cripps

    Gryffindor · 27/05/2015 at 17:16

I think at his price you have to get him
Cripps has sydney which he won't score much againt and Tarrant is a lot cheaper so won't lose much $$ even if he spuds it up

Doug · 27/05/2015 at 15:59

Am I mad not getting in Rockliff, and picking someone like Lewis or Sidebottom up? I know Sidebottom's price won't change much, and that Rocky is the biggest Supercoach bargain ever but, I'm not sure if he will consistantly score 100 with all the Brisbane midfield playing. I also like Lewis and think he will go HUGE against the Suns this week.

Am I mad?

    Gryffindor · 27/05/2015 at 17:14

Totally agree, if he was more expensive i wouldn't get rocky but he's too cheap to ignore
Lewis is a gun and i'm picking him up post rd 11 bye so get him if you can and if you have the cash Sidebum is a HUGE pod, only a few % will have him and check out his scores at the end of last season… we're talking 10 out of his last 11 games were tonnes including a 178

    SCaddict · 27/05/2015 at 17:38

    Just a little.

If he goes bananas against the Saints this weekend and posts a monster score there will be plenty of coaches cursing themselves for not picking him up either this week or last week.

If he doesn't ton up well then those who waited until after his bye could be rewarded but that is a huge risk to be taking if you ask me. Most teams are Rd12 bye heavy anyway so bringing in Rocky now probably won't hurt team structures too much and he's not getting any cheaper now.

Rob · 27/05/2015 at 16:19

Lumumba to Hibbered

Cripps to Rockliff

These are my trades.

    Gryffindor · 27/05/2015 at 17:12

    Cripps > Rockliff Absolutely
I'm waiting on hibberd till after his bye to see more form but if you've got the balls to do it now go for it because lumumba is a pile of crap

    SCaddict · 27/05/2015 at 17:49

A resounding yes to Cripps –> Rocky but I'm not quite as sold on the other trade.

Ideally the best time to offload Harry O would be during his bye. Hibberd SHOULD outscore The Gift for the rest of the season but it may not be by a massive margin. Also Hibberd may make you even more Rd12 bye heavy if that's a problem for you.

Not saying it would be a bad move per se but just not an automatic one for me. However if you are super keen to move 'The Gift' on this week then go for it mate.

THEBEARD · 27/05/2015 at 16:35

Need to lock in a gun midfielder.

Give me a point in the right direction guys please.

Have Fyfe, Pendles, JPK, Parker, Lewis, Rocky locked in.

Looking at Hannebury or Mundy or perhaps Priddis although leaning towards Hannebury.

Can you guys please thow me your opinion here? Got a little banter going with my old boy so want to get this one right πŸ™‚

    TOM · 27/05/2015 at 16:43

    Sidebottom, big POD

      THEBEARD · 28/05/2015 at 11:29

Anyone else got a comment to help?

        TRIGGER HAPPY · 28/05/2015 at 13:08

Priddus too dear now Hannas and Mundy share Rd 12 bye so that would be most of your mids out. Look at wines give him another week or ward / beams as they r at unders at the moment.

          TRIGGER HAPPY · 28/05/2015 at 13:12

Jelwood is also bargain basement price right now.

Jackie · 28/05/2015 at 08:20

Def- shaw, ibbo, lumumba, newnes, oxley, saad,(k mac, lever)
Mid- fyfe, selwood, jpk, rockliff, parker, danger, griffin, cripps,(vandenberg, cey, mckenzie)
Ruck- goldy, nic nat
Fwd- swan, gray, martin, clark, TBC, krak,(tarrant, lambert)

Got 22 trades left and 120k in the bank, was thinking of downgrading TBC, but concerned about the lack of fwd rookies
Thoughts on what I should do would be well appreciated!

Jesse · 28/05/2015 at 10:47

How many trades is everyone planning to roll into the bye rounds with?

I’m thinking 18

General Soreness · 28/05/2015 at 12:57

Lek I loved it! Although without a bowler it lacks the impact if could otherwise have.

nick · 28/05/2015 at 13:55

My team is as follows and staring to look good at the moment. just have dump harry o next week def Lumumba harry taylor newnes r murphy saad Oxley bench lever Kelly__
