Supercoach 2015This is the part of the season that will make you. Or break you community.

We’ve endured another horrific weekend of late outs and ordinary performances by key players. Most have endured a donut or two. We’ve all taken our fair share of body blows. We’re battle weary. Some are flagging.
But this is the period of the season where the STRONG emerge my friends! And we have a STACK to get through with some absolutely delicious trade in options this week.

Fellas, How much cash should be in the chest coming into byes soon?

    john · 17/05/2015 at 22:02

    i have 641k

      Ethan · 17/05/2015 at 22:05

way to much to have right now. Theres 4 rounds left till byes, so its best to spend at least 3/4 of that cash and bring in some fallen premiums

      Ben · 17/05/2015 at 22:08

Surely you're doing a double upgrade this week?

    Luke · 17/05/2015 at 22:08

i have 110 k with my changes, 180 K without, but im not sure if that is enough

    PreviouslyOnLost · 17/05/2015 at 22:09

I would have a look at who you would like to bring into your side around the byes, and then have a look at what price they are likely to be at a particular round (which you can see via supercoach gold). Also have a look at what price some of your rookies will be at that price and calculate the difference. From there, plan around how you will get the cash to make those trades.

If going for league, then just put cash in the bank as you can and upgrade players when they bottom out and trade down rookies at their fullest price

If going for overall rank, then try to upgrade as quick as possible, might mean that you need to slaughter rookies early or grab fallen premos a week early.

    motsy · 17/05/2015 at 23:26

Kick byes off with a triple downgrade of rooks not playing

      Ethan · 18/05/2015 at 19:36

is that really a good idea? are there going to be 3 players that you are able to pick out that you have the ability to downgrade to?

    @KingWinter7 · 18/05/2015 at 00:00

    I got 11k lol

Liam · 17/05/2015 at 22:00

Out: Fyfe
In: Bootsma

    Josh · 17/05/2015 at 22:06

    Solid

    mcleal10 · 17/05/2015 at 22:10

    I concur

    OldOcker · 17/05/2015 at 22:32

    Not sure about Bootsma yet.

      Derek · 17/05/2015 at 22:54

I would wait on Zac Dawson

        Westy · 18/05/2015 at 22:23

        Or Relton Roberts

    Wheels1987 · 19/05/2015 at 13:07

    good trade

Josh · 17/05/2015 at 22:07

Vandenburg To priddis or Parker?

And what happened to Salem and Griffen

Are they injured and out for any time?

If so should I get rid of Griffen because I have sloane sitting on the pine as well

Also is lever a valid option?

Thanks

    Daniel · 17/05/2015 at 22:10

I’ve been looking for the same answers

    mcleal10 · 17/05/2015 at 22:14

Salem did his hammy. Now is the perfect time to chop him. Griffen is under clouds but still isn't showing promise.
Lever is an option, but could be under the vest this week. I'd consider trading straight swap with Griffen or Sloane to a Priddis or Parker.
You could do an old trade down to trade up with Griffen.

      Danny · 17/05/2015 at 22:42

Don't thnk he's a vest candidate, not the right style

        Derek · 17/05/2015 at 23:02

There was a Crows defender did a knee. That should give Lever better JS

          Ben · 18/05/2015 at 03:13

Jaensch is a running half back where lever is a key position defender, completly different roles

      Josh · 18/05/2015 at 07:13

But if Salem is out I don’t think I need to trade him
I will only trade him if he is going to lose me money
      I’m just worried about Griffen
      Will he play this week?

        Ambidisasterous Dave · 21/05/2015 at 08:12

Agree. Not only that, whoever you bring in is either not playing or will have a bye in round 12 or 13. Get your bye structure right, trade in round 11 bye premos after r11, before r12 and r12 premos after r12, before r13 starts

        Ambidisasterous Dave · 21/05/2015 at 08:15

Griffen red vest precautionary, wait for teams to come out, I reckon he’ll play

    The Bont · 17/05/2015 at 22:41

Salem did his hamstring I think, not sure how long he's out for

      Redgumwon · 18/05/2015 at 19:28

      two to three weeks maybe

Ethan · 17/05/2015 at 22:09

should i get on rockliff if i sacrifice CEY

    mcleal10 · 17/05/2015 at 22:17

Its an option but Yolmen will be back for round 9. If the trade is only misfortunate, then it will be a bad one since Yolmen has shown more consistency.

      Ethan · 17/05/2015 at 22:45

my midfield is decently loaded atm with cripps and yoleman being my m7 and m8.
      this is my team http://gyazo.com/00b7765e48431d858445b1f1037ba653
i want mcdonald in asap but i fall short
which rookies could i go to to get in mcdonald

        scrofl · 18/05/2015 at 11:36

With a team looking that good, I'm guessing you've used a lot of trades already. I'd skip over Rockliff this week and save your trades til the byes.

          Luke · 18/05/2015 at 14:05

You guys are nuts, rocky at $450k and you don't recommend bringing him in? He is straight in, no questions asked

People traded and declined to bring in Parker 2 weeks ago, that has already came back to hurt

            PADP · 20/05/2015 at 13:42

            Here, here.

          Ethan · 18/05/2015 at 19:32

used 8 so far. Ill potentially bring in rocky in round 12 since i have so many gun midfielders missing that round

        Avzmo · 21/05/2015 at 14:48

This team looks impressive, but I realise my team has more $ value, so I feel like by trading a few rookies I will be at the same point. Wouldn't have thought looking at someone elses team would have made me so happy.

    @KingWinter7 · 17/05/2015 at 23:58

CEY to Lever/Pearce then upgrade Oxley to McDonald

    OldOcker · 18/05/2015 at 00:25

Coach has said that CEY will be playing next week.

    Wheels1987 · 19/05/2015 at 13:08

    hold CEY
    but get rocky

tom · 17/05/2015 at 22:13

is rockliff ready to bring in?

    dean · 17/05/2015 at 22:38

If you cant fit him in next week id grab him, but im going to wait one more week, possible he wont hit breakeven, and even if he does he wont go up to much.

      Jimi · 18/05/2015 at 00:51

I'd put the house on him hitting BE (79) this week. This will be his lowest price but it won't break the bank to bring him in next round if you have other priorities.

        nathan · 18/05/2015 at 07:23

High score of 97 might wait a week and fix other issues

          TheCompletePackage · 20/05/2015 at 23:38

Agreed. I want to see some decent runs on the board first.

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 18/05/2015 at 14:24

Big trade last week hogan to Titch now everyone should be going Vanders to Rocky.if u don’t have the money which u should have as u knew that rocky was gonna go under $450 find it as this is a must do trade this week.

    Wheels1987 · 19/05/2015 at 13:08

    yes
    BE of less than 80

Liam · 17/05/2015 at 22:14

is lever a good downgrade option?

    @KingWinter7 · 17/05/2015 at 23:56

    I'm jumping on

    Jacob · 18/05/2015 at 13:51

Don't think so TBH. Young key defender who will struggle to average much above 50. Think that 97 was a one off thing. Plus hes not cheap at 160k.

    Wheels1987 · 19/05/2015 at 13:08

    yes

    Avzmo · 21/05/2015 at 14:54

I'm avoiding him, not many key position players can make money. JS is good though.

Tom · 17/05/2015 at 22:16

through DPP I am going Griffen to Lever and N Brown to Rance leaving me with 150k

is this smart?

or do I hold Griffen and get rid of vandenberg for Lever.

only have 70 k in the bank so cant go vandenberg to rocky…

thoughts???

    @KingWinter7 · 17/05/2015 at 23:56

Hold Griffen and trade down Vandenberg instead

    Jimi · 18/05/2015 at 00:52

It all depends on how bad Griffin's injury is. If it's nothing serious I'd prioritise trading out VDB.

Sang · 17/05/2015 at 22:24

Love your work Crouching One. Anyone have thoughts on Giants' Devon Smith as an option @ 507K?

    Bog rat · 17/05/2015 at 23:35

    Shhhh, don't tell anyone

    OldOcker · 18/05/2015 at 00:29

Smith is overpriced with an average of 97.7 $507,700 with a b/e of 138.

      Hazey · 18/05/2015 at 08:30

Have been keeping an eye on him n waiting for a couple of bad games to bring him back down to value.

Buddy could be an option this week.

Derma147 · 17/05/2015 at 22:26

Cripps or rich out for Rockliff

    TheCompletePackage · 17/05/2015 at 23:53

Rich out…..rich out…..rich out and touch somebody.

    scrofl · 18/05/2015 at 11:45

Neither for mine. With Rocky back in the Lions side, Rich should escape the tag and run rampant. And Cripps is outscoring half our midfielders anyway.

    @lewiswgrant · 20/05/2015 at 20:26

    Enter text right here!

clkla · 17/05/2015 at 22:29

I have Vandenberg, Griffen, Brown, Hogan, Oxley and 60k

what do I do?

    @KingWinter7 · 17/05/2015 at 22:41

I'm in the same boat and with McIntosh along with 11k to get me through….

    @KingWinter7 · 17/05/2015 at 23:55

I went Oxley down to Lever and Vandenberg up to Joel Selwood if your interested

      Charlesy · 18/05/2015 at 10:15

Similar King. Looking at Oxley for lever and vandenberg out for Parker

      Dean · 18/05/2015 at 20:30

King it would pay to wait another week on Selwood if you can as his break even is 125

    judd0 · 18/05/2015 at 10:43

Oxley to Lever is the obvious downgrade then upgrade Vandenberg to whomever you want perhaps Rockliff or Parker

    Ambidisasterous Dave · 21/05/2015 at 08:21

Vdb and Oxley have the highest be’s so will lose the most cash, they are the priority to trade out

L. Gibbs · 17/05/2015 at 22:30

was thinking Ryan Griffen to Dayne Beams or to Matt Priddas and The gift lumumba to not sure in defence have 493 k to spend?

    Danny · 17/05/2015 at 23:02

If you are feeling lucky Thurlow from is in their best 22 & knocked out 3 100s in a row.

    Youngy_ · 19/05/2015 at 11:11

I really like Beams as a option

mcleal10 · 17/05/2015 at 22:32

Is it time to go Maric? I'm stuck with Nic Nat's poor scoring and am tempted to get my rucks straight. I know rucks are risky when it comes to trading but it could pay off.

    KJU FC · 17/05/2015 at 22:37

Its always ricky sideways trading but it could well be worth it with Nic Nat only hitting the ton once this year.

If you have absolutely nothing else in your team that needs assessing then consider it…

also consider Mumford and Goldstein if you dont have them

    Charlesy · 18/05/2015 at 10:16

I brought in mummy to join Goldy last week and very happy

    @RyanRhino14 · 18/05/2015 at 10:32

Why would you get rid of Maric when he's averaging 103 and is the number 3 ruck and why are people telling you it's not a bad idea?????????

      judd0 · 18/05/2015 at 10:44

He asked if it was time to bring in Maric for Nic Nat, not get rid of him.

    Wheels1987 · 19/05/2015 at 13:10

    hold nic nat
im a tigers fan and Maric is suspect for a few shite games.

nic nat hasnt played alot of footy over last couple of years.. give him time. he will score 200 sometime soon

    Redgumwon · 21/05/2015 at 13:08

I'm not sure if you have ruck cover or not? I'd hold until you get an injury to one of your ruckmen and trade up then. You'd only be burning a trade otherwise and you would really kick yourself if the new ruckman went down soon after you got him with injury

Wrong in the head · 22/05/2015 at 11:32

Similar problem for me so have gone creative. Blicavs (MID/RUC) and H. Goddard (FWD/DEF) in as part of a Hogan and Vandenberg trade.

    1. I can loophole Goddard if Clark goes large tonight.

    2. Blicavs is certainly performing better than Nic Nat and the only reason I didn't do a sideways this week is that West Coast have St Kilda and Natanui may just deliver. If he does then great but if he hits his AVG again then next week i will drop him and use the cash to bring in another MID premo and put Blicavs in the RUC

Its a risk reward type of strategy but my season has been running that way so far so im may as well continue that way.

Luke · 17/05/2015 at 22:33

vandenberg or salem out?

    The Bont · 17/05/2015 at 22:52

vandenberg. Salem's injury means we can hold him for 2-3 weeks and focus on other areas as he won't lose any cash. Vandenberg on the other hand has already lost some cash and will lose a lot more this week.

    Wheels1987 · 19/05/2015 at 13:10

    both

      Ambidisasterous Dave · 21/05/2015 at 08:22

      Agree both

Nick · 17/05/2015 at 22:36

Hi community,
Just wondering if griffin will be out with his injury should I move him along or hold

Jimmy · 17/05/2015 at 22:38

Got geary, griffen, and salem what do I do with these boys

    @KingWinter7 · 17/05/2015 at 23:53

Griffen keep for the moment. Salem has to go. Haven't heard enough on Geary to decide yet

jimmydowland · 17/05/2015 at 22:42

hold hibberd?

    JMG · 18/05/2015 at 11:44

I’m going to. Lost too much cash and you can guarantee the minute you trade him out he will start pulling out tons. This happened to me last year!

    Wheels1987 · 19/05/2015 at 13:10

    you have too
dont want to lock in such a big loss

haydn · 17/05/2015 at 22:43

Is Dayne Beams a good option. He has been doing well (I think)

    the brew king · 18/05/2015 at 12:56

Ive had him all year and apart from his first few rounds I've been pretty happy. that being said if you have the extra cash id be looking at priddis or JPK (if you don't have him already).

    SideBySidebottom · 18/05/2015 at 13:14

Over his past four seasons he's averaged 101, 123, 102 and 116. He's 25 years old and averaging 109 so far this year. A few weeks ago some considered (and some acted on) trading him out due to poor performance.

    Swans2012 · 18/05/2015 at 14:35

    I think he’ll be top 8, about 5th I reckon

    Wheels1987 · 19/05/2015 at 13:11

Beams is awesome, but look for rocky this week

Alister14 · 17/05/2015 at 22:47

How many trades do we have left??

    Alister14 · 17/05/2015 at 22:48

    Or how many should we?

      mcleal10 · 17/05/2015 at 22:53

I'm only on 22 at the moment.

      SideBySidebottom · 17/05/2015 at 23:07

      21.

      Ben · 18/05/2015 at 01:12

No correct answer. How many long term injuries have you had? Overall ranking or league only? As long as you haven't wasted any on sideways trades, you've got enough trades left.

    craig · 17/05/2015 at 22:51

    23

    The Bont · 17/05/2015 at 22:53

I've got 20 after this round

    Stickman · 17/05/2015 at 23:08

Higgo suggested last week to go into the byes with 20 trades, in saying that I currently have 23.

    Jimi · 18/05/2015 at 00:54

    20 before trading this round.

    judd0 · 18/05/2015 at 13:17

    22 after this week

    Wheels1987 · 19/05/2015 at 13:11

i just used my 2 this week
    i have 20 left

mcleal10 · 17/05/2015 at 22:53

I am. I'd only consider trading down defence once everything else looks fine.

bombers94 · 17/05/2015 at 23:00

Anyone know if harley bennel will play next week ?

    Cozza · 18/05/2015 at 00:01

he will be out on the pingaz

@t_woof · 17/05/2015 at 23:01

Good podcast lads.

Been a very tough round. Good to have a few laughs at the end of it….sometimes you can only laugh.

1916 with one 0. My rank is free falling, was mid 200's, tick outside 1000 on Friday, now in 5K's.

Rapt i get Lewis back, but worried that you mentioned Bennell and weeks…..please tell me no, no, no, no!! Already have Hodge & Sloane on the pine. Can't sideways any premiums, as won't hit full premium.

Looking at VandenBerg > Treloar 490K this week.
Take out Treloar's one flop of 48 when his entire team were putrid @ Subiaco v WCE, and he's averaging 113. Has dropped about 80-90K from starting cost.

Enjoy the week ahead everyone.

    Sang · 17/05/2015 at 23:05

Yep think Treloar has upside at a nice price.
I went Shiel last week and am pleased so far.
Giants and Dogs are on the up.

Stickman · 17/05/2015 at 23:08

Wondering if there is much value in fallen premiums at the moment. Rockliff, Barlow and Dom Tyson are expected to continue falling and Gibbs, Stevie J and Nathan Jones have showed next to nothing to bother consideration. I am thinking at looking at a JPK or Beams who have still lost money but are both around that 570k. Thoughts?
Cheers Community

    @KingWinter7 · 17/05/2015 at 23:51

I'm going to Joel Selwood. Only 532k with a BE of 126 and always kills it against the blues so very achievable

    The Bont · 18/05/2015 at 00:06

Rockliff and Barlow should both go up in price with breakevens of 80 and 107 respectively. But if you're not happy with those options, I'd go JPK ahead of Beams.

    Jimi · 18/05/2015 at 00:56

Rockliff, no brainer. This will be his bottom price, yet to hit his stride since a terrible start to the year. Nothing but upside with him IMO.

    SideBySidebottom · 18/05/2015 at 13:23

Rockliff and Barlow are the only two fallen premiums on that list. Either of them are worth consideration or conservatively JPK and Beams are solid.

    Wheels1987 · 19/05/2015 at 13:12

    get rocky

TyS · 17/05/2015 at 23:08

Do I use two trades to get Rocky? Was 7k off going Brayshaw up to Rocky grrr…… Would leave me with 200k in the bank going Oxley to Lever. 18 trades left after doing those trades ouchhh injuries….. Would there be any other rookie options on the bubble (any position)

    The Bont · 18/05/2015 at 00:08

Yep sounds good. Oxley and Brayshaw both with high breakevens so they have to go otherwise they'll start bleeding cash

    Wheels1987 · 19/05/2015 at 13:17

to get rocky you need to make 2 trades
    sorry to say
i would advise to hold Ox, but in your case u need to Eff him off. bring in the raging bull

Traderlyf · 17/05/2015 at 23:17

is i time for oxley to go with his 90 BE? He is playing GC so its possible he could reach it

    @KingWinter7 · 17/05/2015 at 23:49

He's averaging 82 with a BE of 95. Time to move on, I'm going to Lever

    Jimi · 18/05/2015 at 12:31

If your going to move him on then now is best the time. unfortunately due to injuries I have other priorities this week. Considering his average, the dearth of defensive downgrade options and the sheer number of trades I've used due to serious injuries to premos, I'm tempted to hold onto Oxley (and Saad) for the season.

    Wheels1987 · 19/05/2015 at 13:17

    im holding

    david · 21/05/2015 at 11:09

I really think he will go very close this week to his BE…keep

Simon · 17/05/2015 at 23:19

Oxley to Mitchell and Lonie to Parker. Good move?

    General Soreness · 18/05/2015 at 08:41

    Solid trades.

min0008 · 17/05/2015 at 23:27

Oxley to Lever and Vandenberg to Franklin or Treloar?

    @KingWinter7 · 17/05/2015 at 23:49

I'm doing the same and getting Jelwood

    Wheels1987 · 19/05/2015 at 13:17

Treloar over Frankin. MID scoring output always beats FWD scores over the season

@KingWinter7 · 17/05/2015 at 23:28

My Supercoach team so far:

15 Keepers (Shaw, Smith, Simpson. Fyfe, Pendles, JPK, Lewis, Selwood. Goldstein, Maric. Gray, Bont, Swanny, Dusty, Goddard)
2 Mids/Maybe Keepers (Newnes. Griffen)
5 On-field Rookies (Saad, Lever. Krak. Tarrant, Clark)
8 Bench Rookies (McIntosh, Brown. McKenzie, Glenn, Anderson. Read. Hogan, Lambert)

Thoughts on the structure at this time in the year?

TylerC.A · 18/05/2015 at 00:13

Guys. You all may think I'm crazy but I'm not sure Rockliff can sustain last years form and end up a top 8 mid, thus I don't think I will be bringing him in. What are your thoughts?

    OldOcker · 18/05/2015 at 00:33

Totally agree with you Tyler, I would like to see one decent score before wasting a trade I can't afford.

    Ben · 18/05/2015 at 00:55

Extremely unlikely he'll average what he did last season but you can safely assume a 105+ average at the minimum from here on out. At 450k what more do you want? Season long averages he won't be a top 8 mid but from round 8 onwards he has every chance to be one. There's no risk at bringing him in at that price.

      Ben · 18/05/2015 at 01:08

It's similar to Tom Mitchell last week. The scoring potential and massive upside is there and there that cheap if they do fire and score what there capable of, it'll really hurt you not picking them at there basement price.

    Jimi · 18/05/2015 at 00:59

I'd be a lot more comfortable if he'd punched out 100+ this week, but I think he'll just gather steam once he can get a run of games. I'm in for him, you won't get him cheaper.

    demon · 18/05/2015 at 02:41

If you look at his stats from the last 2 years he's started slow and come home like a steam train 2nd half of the year

    TylerC.A · 18/05/2015 at 10:11

Thanks for all the feedback. Hmm not sure, I'll definitely wait this week to see how he goes.

    Swans2012 · 18/05/2015 at 12:23

as everyone has said its all about the value, i think the lowest he’ll average from here is 105 which for 450k is a no brainier for m8 at worst.

    SideBySidebottom · 18/05/2015 at 13:34

Don't underestimate the effect of his recent concussion. It'll take him about three weeks to fully recover. There are other examples this year where post concussion scores had coaches frustrated with their player's output. Luke Parker is a prime example. I'm sure his coaches are now glad they held him. 90s at this stage for Rocky should turn to 120s when he's right.

    Wheels1987 · 19/05/2015 at 13:19

you have big ball to not get him.

many players did not start with GOD

    and they had a win.

by not getting Rocky you may set yaself apart from the pack.

but thats a very big MAY

i say BRING IN THE RAGING BULL

Ben · 18/05/2015 at 01:04

Everyone's thoughts on Ziebell? If you exclude the 4 against Port, he's averaging 103 for the season which is the same as Goddard but 100k cheaper.
When it feels like every week, different popular SC picks get suspended / injured / rested, is it to risky to pick someone like Ziebell who has a higher suspension / injury chance compared to others?

    Hazey · 18/05/2015 at 08:37

As a mad Roo’s supporter, I’d live to bring him in, but just can’t trust him not to commit kamikaze!

      Hazey · 18/05/2015 at 08:38

Literally… I would live! I’d love him too!

    General Soreness · 18/05/2015 at 08:40

If you exclude his 4 you might as well exclude his 150 which shows he is a 90 average player at best.

Ziebell also likes to run into things with his head.

      Swans2012 · 18/05/2015 at 12:29

Yep risk vs reward, I took him a fortnight ago for 390k, averaging 94 without the 150 and the 5. But really the only average that matters is the one from when you pick him onwards, for 390k he will be my perfect f7m9 loophole by seasons end, although I’ve got a vision of him averaging 105 for the rest of the year.

      rko · 19/05/2015 at 18:15

you would only take out the 4 as he was injured and did not get a full game

ThatDamnRascal · 18/05/2015 at 01:15

Starting to lock my team away. So careful thought is going into who to bring in.
Outs will be Vandenberg(has peaked) and Griffin( had enough of his inconsistent performances)
Think Lever has some good coin to make coming into the round 11 bye So I can cull a mid and flick Saad/Mckenzie into the middle.
Already have the likes of Pendles, Fyfe, Watson, Lewis
Leaves me with plenty of cash to grab
Priddis – You would think he's top 8 Mids this year,
Parker- Finally found form and looks to build on that.
Rockliff- Is he really a must?
Armitage- He's been very consistent
Shiel – Keeps getting the job done.

So many to choose from

    Ben · 18/05/2015 at 03:27

I’ll be shocked if vandenberg reaches his b/e and griffen just has to go asap.

Paying peak price for priddis and armitage and lowest price for rockliff and parker. All should be similar scoring and personally wouldnt be able to justify spending an extra 150k on armitage or priddis instead of rockliff. Look at the byes of all the players and pick accordingly. With pendles/fyfe/jobe may be tough to add parker to that aswell with all same bye round

      ThatDamnRascal · 18/05/2015 at 12:03

Hmmm great point about the bye… Might have to wait on Parker and just deal with the price after his bye. Would have liked to see Rocky pump out one big score just not totally sold on him. I know he can go big but I might wait a week to assess.

    Adam · 18/05/2015 at 03:40

Is it stupid to trade jack lonie to kane lampert purely for his dpp and captain loophole ability? Lonies going to fall heaps with that 3, no rookies coming through and full premo fwd line.

      Deadly · 18/05/2015 at 12:44

You think Lambert will come back in at some stage

        BKW · 19/05/2015 at 18:36

Nope not stupid – you think lambert will get games in the back half of the season – Jack Steele is another option but it sounds like Lonie won’t play this week so I would delay trading him as he won’t loose any money this week

    General Soreness · 18/05/2015 at 08:39

Armitage over $600K – avoid you are buying in at top of price.
    The rest are fine selections.

      ThatDamnRascal · 18/05/2015 at 12:05

      Agreed

Dan · 18/05/2015 at 01:37

May hold this week. Some rookies will drop a bit (Oxley, Vandenberg, Lonie) but then so may the premos who I intend to bring in.

James · 18/05/2015 at 03:46

Is it too late for Titch? Had other priorities last week but he seems the real deal

VDB -> Titch

Oxley -> Rocky (via dpp)

    General Soreness · 18/05/2015 at 08:38

    Solid trades James.

    carlashirley90 · 18/05/2015 at 11:26

Not too late for titch at all but this would be last chance for sure if you are keen

      Rick Grimes · 18/05/2015 at 11:58

Don't see why it's last chance. Plenty picked up Goddard at $500k+. If Titch is a top 6 forward, I'll pick him up at whatever price he's at when it suits my structures. I'm not a price sensitive consumer.

        Swans2012 · 18/05/2015 at 12:32

Picking right more important than picking cheap

          Jimi · 18/05/2015 at 12:36

Picking both is best. I'm in the same boat as OP and getting Tmitch this round.

            Swans2012 · 18/05/2015 at 14:32

Your right my last four trades have been McDonald and Ziebell 2 weeks ago, and t Mitch and d Mac this week! All cheap and all ticks so far…..definately not too late for t Mitch, will struggle to score less than 85 on a bad day.

        SideBySidebottom · 18/05/2015 at 13:46

Same for me. Cash generation from rookies is on track and I've chartered out my trades for a fully upgraded team. I'll make a decision on Mitchell and McDonald after the byes. I'd rather pay more with a solid track record than go earlier for a bargain and endure a nervous wait. If funds were tight things might be different.

Jack · 18/05/2015 at 06:04

I have rookies such as
Lonie, vdb, n brown, heeney, Ellis yolmen, Mcintosh

They are all peaking do not know wether to cull them or one up and one down

    General Soreness · 18/05/2015 at 08:33

CEY likely to return. All will need to go at some stage but culling to bubble boys is preferable. VDB would be the first on the block for mine.

jim · 18/05/2015 at 06:59

cold dom tyson be one to look to bring in for vandenberg?

    General Soreness · 18/05/2015 at 08:33

nope plenty of better options around Jim

Tom · 18/05/2015 at 07:46

who to get rid of for Lever?

Oxley, Griffen (DPP), V-Berg (DPP) ??

    General Soreness · 18/05/2015 at 08:34

Not Griffen. Either of the other two fine.

Rob · 18/05/2015 at 07:48

BACK: Shaw, simpson, newnes, lumumba, Oxley,Saad ( mckintosh and hamling)
Mid: Fyfe, selwood, Gray, D.Mckenzie, Kennedy, Shiel, Cripps, Vanderberg( CEY, Krak, Blakely)
Ruck: Ryder, Nicnat( read)
FWD: Roughy, Martin, Bont, Hogan, Franklin,Tarrant( Lonie and lambert)

I have 250K to spend

Not sure if I want to get in Rock this week.

Any suggestions?

    General Soreness · 18/05/2015 at 08:38

You dont have Pendles, I would consider fixing that and getting Rocky in.

Liam · 18/05/2015 at 07:52

I have Saad, Oxley and Mckezie on field with only Brown as Bench cover

im thinking of swinging mckenzie into the mids and trading vandenberg or Griffen to Lever then upgrading Brown to someone like Rance. Is there something else I should do?

Maybe Oxley down to lever?

    General Soreness · 18/05/2015 at 08:35

Sounds fine Liam but Vandy down to lever preferred.

@Rem_Wah · 18/05/2015 at 08:00

If you could have a bad week, I had it.
Scored 1725, blasting my ranking from 7,000 ovr to 35,000.
B. Smith, Salem, Z. Smith, Vandenberg, McIntosh, Selwood (chose him over Priddis at the last second and put him captain), Clark, Cripps on field, Ibbotson, Griffen, McKenzie. I could go on….

nathan · 18/05/2015 at 08:15

Great podcast once again lads

I’ve lost my marbles on griffen now

can’t have him in my side any longer so he’s out for treloar

Now I just need a rookie to build some bank balance as I’m now at 17k

Does Oxley have anymore money to make?

Or mckintoch, saad, CEY, Salem,Clark or lonie

They are the one to go

Whos the one that needs to go?

    General Soreness · 18/05/2015 at 08:36

Oxley average below BE, can go this week. CEY likely to return. Salem injured needs to go. McIntosh can wait a week so can Clark. Saad will return.

      derek · 18/05/2015 at 09:06

shame that CEY and Saad didn't play this week, that would have got them closer to culling. need to hold them as more cash to be made.

Oxley is ready to go. salem already gone.

        nathan · 18/05/2015 at 10:23

The only good the about CEY and saad missing is the fact they can be the last traded out

But yeah Oxley looks like the one that needs to go
Like I said before treloar looks like a viable selection with lever from the crows which leaves a bit of cash
Or I could bring in rocky
Not sold in rocky yet for this year
        Hasn’t gotten over 100 yet

          Jay · 18/05/2015 at 10:46

Agreed Rocky isn't near his best yet, but not too far off – the possessions will come soon enough. The thing that has got me excited is last two games, he is averaging 9 tackles per game. He is working hard when he doesn't have the ball and with Bombers/Saints/Giants as the next three for the Lions, Rocky may not be less than 500k for too long!!

            nathan · 18/05/2015 at 11:21

            Hmmmmm nuch to ponder
Because if i bring rocky in i can also bring docerty in too
            Saves downgrading
I just see a lot of upside to treloar
But with the money of a couple of rookies i might miss out on too
koke lever or strech if he can not be sub
The inly good thing is i only need one mid if i dont trade griff but he needs to go
So if i bring treloar in this week can being rocky in next
            Hmmmmmmm

              nathan · 18/05/2015 at 11:23

              And both are way unders

Travis · 18/05/2015 at 08:16

    General Soreness · 18/05/2015 at 08:36

6th overall Travis, majestic mate, well done.

Donut · 18/05/2015 at 08:19

Need to get rid of Salem, lumumba, vandenberg. Have 641k so I can afford anyone who should I get?
Pendles, JPK, priddis, rocky? Have 22 trades left.

Defence: shaw, newnes, Oxley, KMAC, Dmac, Goodes (brown, saad)

Mid: Fyfe, beams, Gray, Parker, Ebert, lumumba, vandenberg, jack Steven (CEY, heeney, Glenn)

Ruck; Maric, Nic Nat (read)

Fwd: swan, titch, Martin, TBC, Tarrant, Salem (Clark, krak)

    General Soreness · 18/05/2015 at 08:37

You should get all four, how and when is up to you, but all 4 should make your side.

Ben Bretel · 18/05/2015 at 08:19

2296 boys now ranking around 2000th

Leon · 18/05/2015 at 08:20

Players I'm thinking of trading: Mcintosh, Smith, Griffen, Clark.
Who needs to go first? Or should i just hold all?
I only have 20 trades.
Please help out with trade options or if you think I should hold.
Thanks

    derek · 18/05/2015 at 09:03

Smith and griffin are long term premos. That may still come good.

McIntosh & Clark were only cash cows, they need to be culled.

joe · 18/05/2015 at 08:25

thoughts on lewis taylor only about 300000 played up the ground the last two weeks had 22 and 28 disposals and 70 and 92 supercoach points could be bargain if he can average 90.

    General Soreness · 18/05/2015 at 08:37

now is not the time to bring in mid pricers unless you think they can be keepers.

Tyler · 18/05/2015 at 08:26

My team so far would love some thoughts

Der – t McDonald , h shaw , h Taylor , j newnes , a saad , t hunt (k Macintosh and b Goodes )

Mid – n Fyfe , d Shiel , d beams , p dangerfield , j Selwood , t miller , c Ellis yolmen , t Rockliff ( d Mckenzie , j Glenn , m dick )

Ruck – t Goldstein , t Bellchambers ( r obrien )

Fwd – d swan , b Goddard , r Gray , l franklin , m bontempelli , r Tarrant ( m Clark , t lamb )

    Tyler · 18/05/2015 at 08:26

    Also $100,000 in the bank

    Mr chan · 18/05/2015 at 20:11

Good team mate except for Bellchambers.leaking points bad

      SideBySidebottom · 18/05/2015 at 22:59

He cost $300k and is averaging 69 points. He may not be performing as well as we would like but he's certainly not leaking points. Having said that I prefer him at F6 than R2.

        BKW · 19/05/2015 at 18:42

He is leaking points because many other coaches have solid second rucks (I have goldy/maric for example)

So you’re loosing 30-40 points a week by having Tom I. Your team (at least he isn’t loosing cash but he has to go, been playing injured)

          Mr chan · 19/05/2015 at 23:05

          That's rightBK,
I got him out after round 3 and happy ever since

General Soreness · 18/05/2015 at 08:31

Great podcast as always gents, always gets my Monday morning off to a good start.

Rocky in – may just break all time trade in records.

    Jimi · 18/05/2015 at 12:50

Rocky in not even in the top 5 trades this week according to SC Gold – utter madness!

      Jimi · 18/05/2015 at 13:35

Yeah ignore that I was looking at the "Players Traded In – Not In My Team" table 🙂

Rick Grimes · 18/05/2015 at 08:38

Anyone know how bad Lonie's head-smacking was? Is he likely to play this week?

Really need Saad and Cripps back this week. The cupboard looked very bare without them.

CEY still another week away?

    RobDog · 18/05/2015 at 19:17

Read that CEY and Cripps likely starters this round.

SuperCoach Kid · 18/05/2015 at 08:50

Back – Shaw, Tmac, Taylor, Oxley, Prince, Saad (Mcintosh, Hamling)
Mids – Fyfe, Pendles, Selwood, Rich, Griffen, Lewis, Miller, Mitchell (VDB, Yolmen, McKenzie)
Rucks -Goldy, TBC (Cox)
Forward – Gray, Martin, Walker, Salem, Tarrant, Clark (Krakour, Lonie)

235k in the bank

2 options

1- Salem and Griffen > Goddard and Rocky (minimal cash left over)
2 – Salem and VDB > Lever and Rocky (more cash left over)

if anyone has any other options, help a brother out xox

    derek · 18/05/2015 at 09:01

I have similar problems. I am thinking this week it is more important to get TBC out and a decent R2 into my team. Either Sauce, Mummy, Maric.

I think I can wait a week for rocky, but TBC is just not getting it done like I hoped.

      SuperCoach Kid · 18/05/2015 at 09:13

i first picked TBC hoping for an 70-80 average throughout the year, hes at 68 right now, which isnt great, but i think there is more important postions i can upgrade on before i look at my ruck stocks

      Tophawk · 18/05/2015 at 09:17

I have Goldy, Maric and Bellchambers. I am not really pleased with TBC's output either, but I will keep him until the completion of round 13. Maric has the bye in round 11, TBC round 12 and Goldy rnd 13. No donuts in my ruck during the byes barring injuries. To me TBC is strategically significant for another 6 weeks. He will spend a fair bit of time on the pine next month, but I can live with that.

      Cheers

    Jay · 18/05/2015 at 10:37

Dont have enough cash to go Salem -> Goddard and VDB -> Rocky? that would be the ideal upgrades…..I personally am looking to hold Griffen at this stage..

Another option: Oxley -> Lever/Pearce, VDB -> Rocky. Put Salem on the bench (a little risky as no fwd bench cover), but this will build up your warchest even more, then next week you can go bang bang on Salem -> fallen premo fwd (or Goddard) or a premo mid (via Mitchell DPP). You should still have enough to then upgrade either of Clark/Lonie in the FWDs or McIntosh/Saad/Prince in the BACs

      SuperCoach Kid · 18/05/2015 at 16:33

im about 100k short on your first option
but your 2nd leaves me 335k.

      only problem is –
Saad – may or may not play (along with players under performing – Prince, Taylor)
Lever – Hit and miss (again, along with players under performing ^)
      no forward bench cover

with 335 in the bank, i can cash in on Salem and get Dale (JS is a problem though)
then upgrade 1 player to a premo (who ever is maxed out in price after next week)

throttlefinger · 18/05/2015 at 08:58

Perfect ointment for the wounds of this round, gents!

Can't stand Griff. Glad we got him in our side but doing squat all on my SC team.

Oxley to Tmac
Griff to Rockliff (sideways yet Rocky will come correct and hit the 130s in no time)

If there is to be a low point to my season, I'm hoping this round was it. Onward and upward!

    Jimi · 18/05/2015 at 12:52

Hey Throtts, as a GWS fan, what's you're feel on Treloar? (I'm not trying to be lazy, I just haven't had the opportunity to see GWS play much this year).

      AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 14:46

I have Treloar and I think he's good option!

        throttlefinger · 18/05/2015 at 20:14

        Agree. Especially at the price!

      throttlefinger · 18/05/2015 at 20:13

Not a lot not to like about Treloar, Jimi. Good with the ball and his kicking seems to have gone up a notch. Ward, Griff and Shiels will always get more attention. He may get the odd 80 but he's repay you with 120+.

Can see him averaging 105. Won't be top 10 but could be an excellent POD M8.

        Jimi · 19/05/2015 at 22:26

        Cheers Throtts.

Tophawk · 18/05/2015 at 09:06

Griffin out for Rockliff and Lumumba out for Picken. Both have round 11 byes which balances my side nicely. 9, 10 and 11 out respectively over the 3 byes.

Priddis, Parker, B Smith and Franklin will have to be looked at later.

    Luke · 18/05/2015 at 14:09

Don't trade those boys, you will regret it

    rko · 19/05/2015 at 18:24

very good trades imo, picken is looking very good! now he has changed his role he is pimping out big scores.
Rocky… you can't go wrong with rocky especially at that price, 2 scores over 90 and he has just come back from 2 big injuries.
    Good luck mate

Luke · 18/05/2015 at 09:07

vandenberg or salem out?

    Derma147 · 18/05/2015 at 09:38

Salems done his hammy so he will be out for a couple and vandenberg has a break ever getting up around his average so if you have bench cover for Salem I would look at getting rid of vandenberg before he starts bleeding cash.

bob · 18/05/2015 at 09:19

whos a good optin for griffen except rockliff and thoughts on b gibbs? 445k

    Jimi · 18/05/2015 at 12:53

    Avoid Carlton "premos" IMO.

Liam · 18/05/2015 at 09:20

Which 2 to trade out out of Vandenberg hogan, griffen, mcintosh, heeney, ksimpson??

    Jay · 18/05/2015 at 10:15

Vandenberg as a priority – he's not getting anywhere near his BE of 98!!
    Hogan – next

AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 09:20

Whats the severity of Bennell's injury anyone know??

    BKW · 19/05/2015 at 18:46

Corked knee – apparently he’ll play this week (assuming he stays off the frothies)

Los Tetas · 18/05/2015 at 09:34

Need to cull 2 of the following as a pure cash grab to upgrade others next week: Oxley, Lumumba, Hogan, McIntosh, Heeney. I guess they all need to go but what order to I start with?
Only have $48k atm.

    AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 09:40

    Lum would be #1
    Hogan probably #2

    But I'm holding on Hogan?

      Los Tetas · 18/05/2015 at 09:54

      Lum to who then?

        AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 09:57

Probably Hogan but I'm not trading hogan yet?

          AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 09:58

          Depends on ur structure?

I'm keeping Oxley Hogan Mcintosh and heeney for now for later trades…..just because they probably wont lose to much money if any?

            Los Tetas · 18/05/2015 at 10:13

            My Team as follows
            DEF:
            Shaw – Hooker – Oxley – Newnes – Lum – Andrews (Saad – McIntosh)
            MID:
            Fyfe – Pendles – Kennedy – Goddard – Selwood – Miller – Krak – McKenzie (CEY – Heeney – Glenn)
            RUC:
            Goldy – Maric (Downie)
            FWD:
            Swan – Gray – Martin – Franklin – Bont – Tarrant (Hogan – Clark)

              AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 10:37

Keep Hogan and Clark!?!? I am…thinking Clark has big game coming up…..think Hogan has a few dollars to make but dont trade him yet! Trade Lumba!!! Might wanna hold on CEY Heeeney and Glenn?

                AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 10:40

Hogan can be good coverage as well as Clark…..think you would do yourself good by only using 1 trade this week and on Lumba! Mid and Fwd lines look good and Back line looks good too!

                  Luke · 18/05/2015 at 14:17

Keep Lumumba, he never misses and is a def so nit missing out on huge scores being a defender

Easy trade, hogan has peaked and if he makes money will be small and Heaney out for a while so he is the 2nd

Rockliff has to come straight in, should ave 110 from hear and a 450 is a steal! If you have the coin jump straight onto treloard at 490k

Don't trade Lumumba, you picked as a premo, he rarely gets injured and has a history as a 80pt ave, which this season in defence as d5/6 is satisfactory

                    AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 14:50

Lumba sucks!!! You are dipchit if you think he's a premo!!!!

                    AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 14:50

                    TRADE LUMBA he sucks!

                    AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 14:53

Ive heard Lumba would average 100 all year and he isn't close to it and wont be and never will be lucky whats he's averaging now! whats that like 67?? That's why he's isn't on my side….he blows get rid of him don't listen to this knucklehead!!!

    Jay · 18/05/2015 at 10:13

I would think Oxley – he has reached his peak – with a BE of 95 he will struggle to reach that and you dont want to be losing money on rookies you bought in for cash generation. Next would be Hogan – his BE is 77, McIntosh BE is 47……Heeney is injured so you can keep him on the pine for a little bit longer.

I'm personally looking to hold Hogan as well – considering lack of fwd rookies/bench cover…

      AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 10:42

Oxley shouldn't lose any money in the next week? Lumba is bleeding!

      Los Tetas · 18/05/2015 at 10:46

What about Lumumba? I think Oxley might have slightly more upside to him as hes playing in a better team and has the potential to puit out a big score…….

    Swans2012 · 18/05/2015 at 14:27

Hogan and oxley, no brainer for mine

Ethan · 18/05/2015 at 09:49

Should I do a double bench downgrade
With lonie to de goey or dale
And macintosh to lever

    AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 10:44

    NO!!!!!

      Ethan · 18/05/2015 at 13:27

      Why not?

    Danners16 · 18/05/2015 at 14:58

Don't you like Stretch? I would rather have him in before De Goey and Dale, otherwise good

      Ethan · 18/05/2015 at 19:31

stretch is a big green vest canidate. This is so i have cash to bring in mcdonald, but at the moment there are no viable options for me to downgrade

Dann · 18/05/2015 at 09:53

Jackson Thurlow of Geelong has become SC relivent very quickly I thought he would be solid this season then break out next year, he had stellar disposal efficiency, no worries with job security, Def-Mid swing, never going to be a shut down defender & with Duncan out will get a bit more Mid time as well.

Get him in I reckon if he fits your bye structures.

Jay · 18/05/2015 at 09:53

Super podcast lads!! Your wisdom is unparalleled, trades i'm thinking this week are the following:

Oxley -> Rockliff (via McKenzie DPP)
Hogan/TBC -> Ziebell

Trading Oxley to Rockliff and Lewis back from suspension gives me the full premo midfield of: Fyfe, Pendles, Gray, Beams, Parker, Lewis, Rockliff, Griffen

Upcoming weeks, Gray will move into FWDs once Krakeour/Tarrant have fattened – bringing in another fallen premo mid

    BKW · 19/05/2015 at 18:51

Good mid – your other lines must be ordinary though?!!

sp · 18/05/2015 at 09:55

IN A FEW ROUNDS… KK (KOLO) -BRODIE SMITH.

And even now if i trade i’ve already made a bit of money.

but after that brutal second concussion would he be a valid trade?

Will he even be playing or is he out?

    AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 09:59

    Trade smith for sure!!!!

      sp · 18/05/2015 at 10:03

      trade in?

    derek · 18/05/2015 at 10:49

I have Newnes, Ibbotson, KK & Oxley in Defence, all needing to be upgraded, but for now they are warm bodies getting a reasonable score. Defence will be my last upgrade. Smith is on my watchlist of players to get in.

Harry · 18/05/2015 at 10:08

Did anyone else trade Sloane for Mitch Duncan? So there's 2 wasted trades for the year as would have preferred to keep Sloane in the first place…. damn you supercoach gods!

    AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 10:53

I traded Tmith to Sloane…..wanted Priddis but when hogan was a late out I had to take Tmitch! Thought about Duncan but passed!

Anthony · 18/05/2015 at 10:21

Sloane -> Rockliff
Vandenburg -> JPK

Or do I keep Sloane on my bench for when he returns?

    Anthony · 18/05/2015 at 10:26

And just go Vandenburg -> Rockliffe?

    AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 10:55

Hmmm I think you should do it that is a good trade scenario! I'm trying to figure out how to get Rocky in but might have to wait 1 more week??

Adam · 18/05/2015 at 10:24

Down grade option for vandenberg

Upgrade option for lonie

Please and thanks in advance

    AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 10:32

I dont think there is any bubble down grades for Van I'd keep him another week?????

      AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 10:33

Lonie go to Betts! Or a DPP…..Goddard or Bont?

        Adam · 18/05/2015 at 10:54

Vans gunna drop in price so time to make sum coin, as for lonie lookn at betts roughy our t mitch looks like hes cementing his spot

          AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 10:57

if you go with Tmitch get him now!!!!! I traded him for Sloane just before the Crows match up!

            Adam · 18/05/2015 at 11:03

Yeah leaning towards lonie to mitch, then just need to make some coin off van so i can the upgrade oxley next week

              AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 11:07

You still have Van should have traded him by now? I traded him 2 weeks ago………upgrade him if you can?

                AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 11:08

Sorry i was thinking of VBL not vandeburg…..keeep Vandenburg for another week if you can?

                  AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 11:10

Sorry didnt mean to confuse you! When you said Van I automatically thought you meant Van berlow

                    Adam · 18/05/2015 at 11:16

Vandemburg Be 98 dont really wanna lose much on him thats all

    beezneez · 19/05/2015 at 12:47

You could downgrade Vandenberg to Lever (on the bubble) by switching DPP with McKenzie or Saad, if you have them. depending on how much cash you have, you could then upgrade Lonie to a reasonable player.

Darrel · 18/05/2015 at 10:32

Is to to late to trade in Titch, Goddard, Priddis and McDonald

    Danners16 · 18/05/2015 at 14:57

T.Mitchell would be the only viable option at the moment

Matt · 18/05/2015 at 10:42

whats oxleys BE?

    Jack · 18/05/2015 at 20:55

Type ‘SuperCoach break evens’ into Google and click the footywire.com link. It contains a detailed list of every players average, break even, price and expected price changes. It’s absolute gold!

Jambo · 18/05/2015 at 10:46

I brought McDonald in at Round 2. I'm almost at full premium in defence, so, I will pick up Elliot Yeo to finish my defence and pick up Rockliff at a ripe 447k. Scott Pendlebury's breakeven is as high as 181, he'll come in fairly cheap come byes. Devon Smith is another who will be ripe for the plucking with a high BE at the moment.

jezzahill · 18/05/2015 at 10:47

Need some advice community. Using two trades (again) this week, but stuck between a few scenarios. What do people think?

Option A:
Vandenberg to Rockliff
Griffin to Parker

Left with little to no warchest savings for next lot of trades.

Option B:
Vandenberg to Rockliff/Parker
Lonie to Lever through a DEF/FWD swing

    derek · 18/05/2015 at 11:00

unless griffin is injured, I would hold him. I will.

He is underperforming and losing cash, but he is a premium player. If you sideways trade you are not adding any real potential scoring increase to your team. Both Parker & griffin are able to score 120+

Griffin has a round 13 bye.

GWS next 5 games are ok: Crows (H), Dogs (A), Brisbane (H), Pies (A), Kangaroos (H).

      jezzahill · 18/05/2015 at 11:17

Might have to give him one more week then. But I'm not having a premo who scores 110+ one week and then only 50-odd the next. Premos regularly go 90+ and at the moment Griffen isn't doing that. The other option that I've just thought of is Vandenberg to Rockliff and Oxley to Elliot Yeo in defence. My defence has been a bit lean recently and Yeo has been outstanding in the midfield. Oxley has a BE of 95 this week so he might have peaked.

        carlashirley90 · 18/05/2015 at 11:20

If you can afford the coin I would prefer you to snatch Rance at 470k odd or Docherty who has been uber consistant so far priced at 430k odd

          jezzahill · 18/05/2015 at 11:40

I can't afford Rance at the minute, but he would be a solid option Carla and one I would certainly consider if I had the cash. Good point on Docherty, however there are a number of reasons why I think Yeo is a better pick at the moment. His bye round, his role in the WC side, his BE, potential price increase and overall team performance suggest to me that Yeo is the better selection in the long run.

carlashirley90 · 18/05/2015 at 11:11

Dangerous times ahead community!

It's one thing to upgrade our rookies but keep in mind who are the ones we want as back up all season long

Vandenberg, Oxley and Hogan as great examples

    AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 11:37

I'm Keeping all 3 just for that reason you mentioned! All 3 are viable back ups!

    Danners16 · 18/05/2015 at 14:57

You're not gonna go anywhere if keep rookies like that as backups

      AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 14:59

No you are right….I'm just not trading them yet is what I meant…….Holding them for now!

        AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 15:05

I'm actually trading Vandenburg for Priddis huge POD

          Glorin · 18/05/2015 at 18:30

Won't be after this week. Will be most traded in as people chase the points!

          @t_woof · 18/05/2015 at 19:30

Agree, time for VandenBerg to go.

Keeping Krak for a bit, he can be the bench option. Nice DPP swing to cover 0's.

Marco_Polo94 · 18/05/2015 at 11:37

I don't know where I would be in the world of fantasy if it wasn't for these podcasts. I just love these things!

I'm burning trades like there is no tomorrow, only 20 left after this round. I know Higgo mentioned last week or so that we should be looking to have at least 20 coming into the byes, however I'm thinking i might be going in with 17 or 18 and here is why. Over this week and next week i will be upgrading rookies to Selwood, Rockliff and Deledio. Call me crazy but the aim of this game is to get to full premium correct? Well these premiums might be at their best price over the next week or so and bye or no bye i plan on jumping on them now. I've done an extensive trading plan over the past 6 weeks that will ensure i have at least 20 playing players over each bye round so I'm not worried about trading in donuts. All this means is that rather than trading in rockliff in round 12, i trade him in now, hopefully gaining me more points coming up to the byes and ensuring i'm full premo sooner rather than later.

Have a good week community!

    carlashirley90 · 18/05/2015 at 11:39

Nice planning and best of luck 🙂

      Marco_Polo94 · 18/05/2015 at 12:26

      Thank you!

    jezzahill · 18/05/2015 at 11:45

I agree Marco, I'll have 20 after pulling the trigger on two more trades this week, upgrading two rookies to premo keepers. I think most people will be in the same boat, as the injury stick has whacked just about everyone's teams at some stage. If you can get your side closer to full premium now then you're locking in more points over the coming rounds against people who are conserving trades.

      Marco_Polo94 · 18/05/2015 at 12:26

It's too much fun trading in fallen premos to sit idly by and be patient!

    nathan · 18/05/2015 at 11:58

I dont think it how many trades you have at the byes its how many you use to get to a full premo side
Ill have 19 after this week and inly need 5/6 players to have in where i need to be to be happy with
I wiuld have an extra trade but lost faith with griffen and soon to be nic nat when i dont have issues eslewhere

      Marco_Polo94 · 18/05/2015 at 12:25

Griffen is causing me massive headaches but i know as soon as i trade him I've locked in a loss. Just praying he comes good.

        nathan · 18/05/2015 at 14:12

Yeah i know but when is it time to call that lose?
Do ya do it now and still be able to pick up some cheap premos
Or later when he drops in price more and keep you awake at night longer

    Jimi · 18/05/2015 at 13:11

I'm doing the same thing as I've had to change to trading plans due to the crazy number of premo injuries I've had this year. I also think that with the amount of fallen premos the traditional trading strategies might not be as effective as previous seasons – best to get them when they bottom out, if that's pre-bye then that's pre-bye. Bang Bang.

My bye pan is not quite a nuanced (I've planned a manoeuvre that i've dubbed the "Ziebell" in which I just crash in head first and hope for the best).

    jockreynolds · 20/05/2015 at 21:46

    You're a ripper Marco

derek · 18/05/2015 at 11:47

I managed to avoid most of the problems and scored 2360 this week. Jumped me up to 613 overall rank.

Thankyou to everyone who has helped. I have been extremely patient and only made 6 trades so far.

I have an important decision to make this week, to bring in Rocky or upgrade TBC to a premium ruckman.

Current team is:

DEF: Shaw, Simpson, Ibbotson, Newnes, Thumper, Oxley (Saad, McIntosh)

MID: Fyfe, Pendlebury, Priddis, JPK, Griffin, SMitchell. Cripps, Miller, (CEY, Krak, McKenzie)

RUC: Goldy, TBC, (Lucey)

FWD: Swan, Goddard, Gray, Dusty, Cloke, Tarrant (Clark, H Goddard)

Have only $3k in bank but 24 trades left.

My original thought was to bring Rocky in this week. I have two midfield places to fill, one reserved for God and the other for Rocky. Rocky at a great price but has a round 11 bye.

Other option is to trade out TBC to either Maric/Sauce/Mummy. (Maric & Jacobs have R11 bye, Mummy has R13) – doesn't worry be who I get, they are all similar in price and point scoring ability.

The Rocky option I don't think will have a massive improvement in my overall score, it seems that the rookies have been doing well and short term I'm hoping that will continue (Miller/CEY/Cripps/Krak/Saad/Clark/Tarrant – structure needs to have 3 of those 7 on field with reasonable loopholing available). All those rookies are set to continue to increase in value at around the same rate that Rocky will, if I don't get him this week or even wait until round 12 after his bye, even though he would have increased in price, my net cost wouldn't have.

TBC is costing me 40 – 80 pts every week. I've been lucky that he has been able to play every week, but his time has come. His price is not going to rise, where the 3 options to bring in will. they are all at the low price and set to massively jump after they all pumped out 130+ scores on the weekend. if I wait I will be losing points and value.

I will most likely trade out Oxley this week to Lever to fund the upgrade.

Does this option make sense, or should I jump on Rocky now?

Out of Jacobs, Mummy or Maric…who would you suggest?

    Rick Grimes · 18/05/2015 at 11:55

TBC out quick smart. Don't like Choke in there at all.

      derek · 18/05/2015 at 12:22

Yeah, Cloke was my big Shark move at the start of the year. hasn't gone quite to plan, other priorities at the moment.

    Cozza · 18/05/2015 at 12:15

I'd suggest holding TBC – he is getting you points equivalent to what you paid for him and unlikely to drop too much in price. This will be the lowest price we will see Rocky this year, so unless you are happy paying more $$ for him in a couple of weeks, I'd make him the priority this week, or at least next week .

      derek · 18/05/2015 at 12:21

II would probably trade out either Miller, Saad or Cripps this week if I brought Rocky in. I think all three can increase in price over next couple of weeks at the same rate Rocky will, or are my calculations wrong?

        Marco_Polo94 · 18/05/2015 at 12:24

Cripps to Rocky is my move next week and for that exact reason. Most likely both will rise in price around the same I assume. Jumping onto Jelwood this week instead as i have a gut feeling his BE of 125 is about to get obliterated against the Blues.

          DPT · 18/05/2015 at 17:51

I went VDB to Rocky this week, as moving CEY to Jelwood next week. Thinking if Jelwood smashes his BE, then any increase in CEY's price should cover it. This leaves me with Cripps at M9.

        Jimi · 18/05/2015 at 12:57

Cripps and Rocky were on track to cost the same this week until Cripps was a late withdrawal, it would've been a beautiful piece of synergy.

That being said I think out of those 3 he is still be most viable upgrade option. Lots more $ still to be made with Miller and Saad.

    Swans2012 · 18/05/2015 at 12:53

I like it Derek. I’m toying with the idea of keeping belch permanently at r3 (currently my r2) and turning vandy into Jacobs, I’m sure that as soon as I trade him out I’ll need that cover. Another upside of this is let’s me use read (r3) as loophole fodder in the forward line loopholing Tarrant and Clark at f6 until I send gray Down There from the middle. Just gotta make sure it doesn’t ruin my structure too much.
2300 this week saw me move from 4400 to 1400 overall.

      Swans2012 · 18/05/2015 at 13:32

Scratch that, gunna get rid of vandy and Lonie for lever and rocky this week, belch gets shuffled to forward bench next week, just works better for maximizing onfield scoring in my team and same result $$ wise. Also keeping oxley this week, might leak a little cash but a much better onfield option vs Gold Coast than mcintosh or Mckenzie imo. And might just beat up on the weaker team a bit as he did with st kilda and Carlton

    randomcliche · 20/05/2015 at 23:47

Oxley out, lever in. Clark out, Jacobs in via TBC. Saad to onfield. Leave TBC as F7.

      randomcliche · 20/05/2015 at 23:53

Eeeek, sorry. Not sure that adds up quite right. Might have to Tarrant/CEY out to do it, see what works. Anyways point is I'm moving TBC from R2 to F7 this week.

TommyD21 · 18/05/2015 at 11:47

Big week community

Thinking the following for this week

Oxley – Lever
Move Lumumba to midfield with Mckenzie into backline via DPP
Lumumba – JPK- $182,000 in bank

Any thoughts community, or would I be better at this stage to upgrade a Hogan or TBC in the FWD?

    Cozza · 18/05/2015 at 12:11

I'm thinking exactly the same, except my upgrade will be Rocky. Hogan and TBC can wait a week or two. Another upgrade target would be Vandenberg if you have him

      TommyD21 · 18/05/2015 at 12:29

Yeah, not sure about Rockliff, might wait another week and upgrade from CEY or Cripps

Thinking either JPK or Parker atm for Lumumba

    Danners16 · 18/05/2015 at 14:55

    Sounds good

Antonio · 18/05/2015 at 11:47

Whose a must have in the forward line that’ll be Top 8 this year? I already have Gray, Goddard and Swan.

    Rick Grimes · 18/05/2015 at 11:53

    Martin, Franklin, Betts

      Antonio · 18/05/2015 at 11:55

Would this week be a good time to bring any of them in? I want to trade Lonie out.

        Dann · 18/05/2015 at 12:12

St. Kilda saying that Lonie won’t this weak so can hold without losing cash, if needs be.

I don’t agree with Rick on Bette think he’ll peter out, Martin Frankilin yep, Bont maybe, having a good hard look at Deliedio myself.

          Rick Grimes · 18/05/2015 at 13:29

Lids looked the business. I keep waiting for Betts to spud it out but he's just got it on a string and the delivery he's getting is top notch. With Tex offering such a threat I can see him buzzing around and collecting close to a ton all year. That said, I can't bring myself to select him….yet.

    derek · 18/05/2015 at 12:24

Delidio looked good on weekend. If he stays fit is his in top 6

    randomcliche · 21/05/2015 at 00:31

I'm hoping its Tom Mitchell – fingers crossed. I think also think buddy can do it.

Gray (1) then Lids, Goddard, Swan, Martin, Buddy, Dalhaus, and Tom Mitchell.

I've got pretty strong bias towards players with a dual mid role as you can see. I see bonts/betts missing out, but their avgs might not hurt that much in the wash up.

As for this buying this week….Buddy.

Gibbo · 18/05/2015 at 11:52

Hey everyone

Just wondering who yous think i should get for bellchambers. Currently have goldstein

Some good options are martin, jacobs, mumford and maric

Help please !!

    derek · 18/05/2015 at 12:26

I want to know as well. If you can hold until the round byes, you can get either maric or Sauce after their R11 bye.

All pretty good choices. My gut is telling me Jacobs, and it is only because I feel the others could be more injury prone, don't know.

    Marco_Polo94 · 18/05/2015 at 12:28

Depends on bye structure, Maric looks to be a consistent option. I'm holding Bellchambers and he will become my R3.

      Swans2012 · 18/05/2015 at 12:54

I’m with you Marco, but Jacobs the pick for mine, starting to rack up the possessions 20 or so last two weeks

    northernsoul74 · 18/05/2015 at 14:25

I'm holding off making any decisions on TBC until I see what state Kreuzer comes back in.

Dann · 18/05/2015 at 11:56

How does Meters Gained factor into scoring?

    demon · 18/05/2015 at 15:04

it doesn't as a total distance, but a long kick is worth more than a short kick.
With a long kick being defined as 40 metres + I believe

      Swans2012 · 18/05/2015 at 16:43

      Interesting, didn’t know that….

Jack · 18/05/2015 at 12:02

I've Got Shaw, Birchell, Taylor as my DEF premos, who should be my next target be currenly sitting in the 100's

    derek · 18/05/2015 at 12:28

I have Simpson in my team now.

McGovern and Enright are on my watchlist

    AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 12:29

helps if we knew you have??? to cull

    Jimi · 18/05/2015 at 12:59

    McDonald.

    dean · 18/05/2015 at 19:39

    Old McDonald, had a farm e i e i ooo

Stevo · 18/05/2015 at 12:41

How many trades should we have left by now?

    Swans2012 · 18/05/2015 at 12:57

No right answer, I’ll have 20 after this week, happy with that, will leave me with around 10 trades and full premo (with a couple of Maybes) by end of byes.

      AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 13:08

Nope! I lost Sidebottom Ablett Bartel Sloane ……and Lewis and bennell to suspensions and I will have 19 After this week! I should be @ 25 or 24 but injuries and suspensions have killed me! Not only that I had Henderson and Saad on IR! Just trying to manage!

carlylerific · 18/05/2015 at 13:15

helloo community just a quick question this week what are everyone’s thoughts on tom bell as a point of difference ??

    AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 13:27

I considered Bell last week but passed on him for Tmitch! I think there is better options based on how much money you have and who you are considering to trade out? Depends on ur structure?

    Ben · 18/05/2015 at 17:32

Definitely not! I'd list players for you who are similar price or cheaper as alternatives but theres just too many to pick from.

TRIGGER HAPPY · 18/05/2015 at 14:39

What are we doing with Heeney? Out for 4-6 but no good downgrade options? Won’t make much if we trade him out? Trade or hold and to who ??

    AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 18/05/2015 at 15:15

Hold! not losing any money and good loophole option! Doesn't have a whole lot of worthy money wise…… only 234,600 so cant really upgrade to a whole lot unless you have 400 in the war chest!

      TRIGGER HAPPY · 18/05/2015 at 16:56

Exactly not much to go down to and too much to go up for a premo

    Ben · 18/05/2015 at 17:22

Mitchell and Goodes may keep him out of the team or limit to him to regular vests. Not the best j/s and Sydney will definitely not take any risks with him.

T.J.M · 18/05/2015 at 16:02

Thoughts on Salem and Vandenberg to Goddard down back and Lewis?

Rick · 18/05/2015 at 16:17

I got a 2264 with lewis and sloane both on my bench. Plus a doughnut. That mammoth score moved me up into the top 1 % 🙂

    PADP · 20/05/2015 at 13:50

    Amazing

Rick · 18/05/2015 at 16:23

Rich for Rockliff or Griffen for rockliff?

    rko · 18/05/2015 at 17:41

    tbh go rich

rko · 18/05/2015 at 16:43

I've done one trade Cripps-Rocky… which option would be the best for a second trade
Hogan-Franklin
Oxley (95BE) -Tom McDonald/Corey Enright
I'm leaning towards Hogan-Franklin ATM
Thoughts?

    Ben · 18/05/2015 at 17:26

    I'd pick Buddy

nathan · 18/05/2015 at 16:54

Has anyone thought of billy stretch?
The kid can play just needs to not be the starting sub

    demon · 18/05/2015 at 18:14

he did it tough coming up against swans and hawks in his first 2 games.
Didn't touch the footy in the 2nd half against the swans, and 3 touches in 3 qtrs against the hawks.
Would definitely be back to the VFL if the dees had more depth, but if he stays in the side you'd think he will improve

    Scott · 18/05/2015 at 18:25

Looks like he's going up in price, after next week, but I reckon job security might be an issue.

Glorin · 18/05/2015 at 18:05

Need to give some attention to my Rucks. Have nic nat and TBC. Both have to go at some stage. One will become goldy when his price drops in a week or two the other will be moved on this week to either jacobs, maric or mummy. Can make single trade to all from TBC or if I move on nic nat I can do a double premo upgrade using Vandenberg.
Any thoughts?

Jono · 18/05/2015 at 19:59

Who are the priorities to trade out of Oxley, Macintosh, vandenberg, hogan, lonie???

    throttlefinger · 18/05/2015 at 20:15

Oxley, Vandy, Lonie, Hogan and Kmac.

First three have very big BEs. You can get the most for your buck with Ox and Vandy, so cull them first, Jono.

      Jono · 18/05/2015 at 20:34

Cheers for your thoughts! Appreciate it!

        SideBySidebottom · 18/05/2015 at 23:07

On the other hand Oxley's more likely to score more than McIntosh so if you are trying to maximise points holding Oxley and culling McIntosh may be better. If you need cash generation follow Thrott's schedule.

Mark · 18/05/2015 at 21:34

Heres my team
Def- shaw, higgins, oxley, saad, hibberd, newnes (mckenzie, goddard)
Mid- fyfe, neale, beams, danger, cripps, lewis, krakour, tom mitchell (stretch, lambert, vsndaberg)
Ruck- goldy, nat nui (read)
Fwd- gray, swan, goddard, martin, bont, tarrant, (salem, daniel)
I am thinking of going oxley to lever and vandaberg to rockliff… But i also wanna get rid of salem. Any better ideas?

    DPT · 19/05/2015 at 07:49

Trade out Salem, swap Titch to fwd line, then VDB to Rocky. Just one trade and bank a few $$$

      Mark · 19/05/2015 at 08:02

who to trade salem for though?

Paul · 19/05/2015 at 07:54

Awesome Podcast fellas, been listening each week all the way from Rio de Janiero. Any advice on my team or moves I should be looking at. Haven't seen alot of footy the last two years been living in the US and now Brazil. I'm thinking defense upgrade once forwards and Mids settled. Thinking Vandenberg to Rockcliff and Lonie to T.Mitchell this week. Cripps to Pendles next week, should pick up Pendles for around 580k then with his massive B/E. Got 523k to spend. Any thoughts 🙂 Cheers

Def: T.McDonald H.Shaw Oxley Kolodjashni McIntosh Goodes Bench: McKenzie Goddard
Mids:  D.Beams Dangerfield S.Mitchell S.Thompson Griffen Cripps Miller Bench: Vandenberg Saad Krakouer
Rucks: Maric Mumford
Forwards: Swan Gray Martin Salem Tarrant Hogan Bench: Lonie Lamb

    Paul · 19/05/2015 at 08:00

Left my locked and loaded Cpt each week out of my Mids. Fyfe

    Mike · 20/05/2015 at 16:01

Can’t argue with those trades. Have done similar myself.

      Paul · 20/05/2015 at 23:00

      All the best Mike

      randomcliche · 21/05/2015 at 00:39

      +1

Tony · 19/05/2015 at 08:09

G'day community,
Have held Heeney over to this week & have $210k in the bank. What's everyone's thoughts on an upgrade to Rockcliff??
Time to pounce or give him a couple of weeks??

    Kev · 21/05/2015 at 09:50

Where you been, Tony? Lots of chatter in the community about Rockliff this week. Has a b.e of 80 this week and I'm backing him to reach that against the bombers.

Tom.McV · 19/05/2015 at 09:59

Vandenberg for Stevie J/Rockliff??
And who do cull for Salem?

Tom.McV · 19/05/2015 at 10:42

Vandenberg for Stevie J/Rocky??
Who do I get in for Salem? (Bench)

    chrisso · 19/05/2015 at 18:03

give up on supercoach mate, youre teams no good

    PADP · 20/05/2015 at 13:54

As much as I love watching Stevie J, he is a supercoch disaster re brainfades. Rocky by a mile. Keep Salem for now.

@wheels_1987 · 19/05/2015 at 13:08

I have gone with
Hogan and Vandenberg OUT
Rockliff and K.Jack IN

$20 k left in the warchest.

Rocky speaks for himself

Kieran Jack on the other hand has bottomed out in price and is a huge POD.

thoughts community???

    SideBySidebottom · 19/05/2015 at 17:47

Looks okay Wheels. Rocky's a definite and Jack averaged 112 in 2012 so he's capable of premium scores.

      Jambo · 19/05/2015 at 18:45

2012 is three years ago, mate and Jack hasn't done much since then, it must be said. I reckon do a 'paint-the-fence' trade.

        davo · 21/05/2015 at 13:34

Yup. Jack hasn’t done Jack 😉

Max · 19/05/2015 at 14:14

hi community..

thoughts on.

oxley to T.Mcdonald or H.Shaw?

and Vandenberg to Rocky or T.Mitchell??

I'm thinking H.Shaw and T.Mitchell because of he's mid/fwd swing and I would be looking to bring in rocky for cripps next week but I just want a second or third lol opinion on it?

thanks

    Josh · 20/05/2015 at 18:40

there is defiantly no harm in waiting on rocky one more week as long as you allow yourself extra cash

    Darren (McLovin) · 21/05/2015 at 13:09

Ricky’s ribs will be sore the whole season, had them myself, not sure if he’ll get back to his high end brilliance. Prob just outside possessions and respectable scores. Just my take.

Mike · 20/05/2015 at 14:05

Tich in last week, JPK and Rocky in this.
Hoping for some improved scoring and league wins. I’ve not been ranked this bad since my first year.
Will need to take a trade breather until round 12 as I’ve burnt through them at 2 a week EVERY week.
Some rookie Crow back going to get a run community? Wigg? I could use a downgrade option in two weeks, not keen on Lever.

Dean · 20/05/2015 at 23:49

Here is my team

DEFENCE
Shaw, Oxley, Lumumba
McIntosh, Geary, Saad
EMG
McKenzie, Goodes

MIDFIELD
Fyfe, Pendles, Priddis, JPK
Beams, Dagerfield, Cripps, Miller
EMG
Vandenberg, Ellis-Yolmen, Heeney

RUCK
Goldy, Blicavs
EMG
Read

FORWARD
Swan, Gray, Martin
TBC, Krakouer, Clark
EMG
Hogan, Lonie

Someone suggested "Trade Cripps and Vandenberg and bring in Rocky or Parker and Lever via Mckenzie dip"
If I trade Cripps for Parker and then McKenzie for Lever I don't have enough cash, I'm struggling to understand what he means by "dip" I presume it means DPP (Duel Position Player)

Can someone please talk me through this trade step by step how it can be done. I don't understand how I can bring in Lever via McKenzie dip as none of my midfielders are DPP such as MID/DEF also what do they mean by "dip"

im seriously confused… Help very much appreciated…

    luke · 21/05/2015 at 07:07

Press the trade button on VBD, then when in the trade screen, look at your team list and you will notice the substitute button next to McKenzie as he has the midfield eligibility. Then its just selecting lever or any other defensive option

    DPT · 21/05/2015 at 07:17

I went Heeney to Lever in a similar move.

First, I traded out Heeney, selected the 'S' button next to McKensie in the trade screen which sent him into the midfield and opened up his position in DEF.

Then I simply selected to trade Lever into this position. This now has created a MID/DEF swing between MCKenzie and Saad.

    Hope this helps! 😉

      Kev · 21/05/2015 at 09:38

Outstands me that coaches still don't know this…

        Dean · 21/05/2015 at 15:30

Thanks guys bloody hell I had no idea about this and have heard people talk about it but felt stupid asking. I wish I asked sooner this would have helped my team dramatically had i have known this sooner.

        UNBELIEVABLE I cannot believe it.

        Astounded · 21/05/2015 at 16:09

Astounds me that people would spell astound as outstand?? Go figure????

Leon · 21/05/2015 at 08:11

Should hold or trade Brodie Smith?
Is there a good rookie I could bring in for Mitch Clark?
Help would be great
Thanks

    Kev · 21/05/2015 at 09:36

Hold Smith. That 16 in his average will see his price drop further, but I'll be jumping on soon. He's averaging 77 (88 without his sub affected score). not bad for a 360k defender.

No decent rookies on the bubble this week, but with a breakeven of 39 Clark still has more money to make

Luke · 21/05/2015 at 08:19

Is it a stupid trade to bring in Michael Walters for Christian Salem. BE of 29 this week, 321k. Feel like she should be able to average 85-90 from here on out after copping the 16 with concussion in round 5. Worth it?

    Kev · 21/05/2015 at 09:23

Will Walters be a top 6 forward? Not even close.

Antonio · 21/05/2015 at 11:39

Is T. McDonald to expensive to bring in now?

    Kev · 21/05/2015 at 16:38

Personal preference, Antonio. Paying 500k+ for a defender is overs is my books. That said, he hasn't dropped below 90 yet and you'll be bringing him in as a keeper, if you can afford him go for it

Darren (McLovin) · 21/05/2015 at 13:02

Do u think Rocky will post premium high end scores? Having had broken ribs myself, they stick around the whole season and each bump is painful. What I’m saying is that they take 6 to 8 months to heal and each bump sets that back.

Not sure he can be at his best. Still think he’ll score his 100 ave though.

Thoughts?

    Kev · 21/05/2015 at 16:36

You only need to look at last season to know he is capable of returning some huge numbers. Scored 90 last week under the Cornes tag and has recorded 18 tackles last two weeks. Reward far outweighs the risk at his current price

Kevin · 21/05/2015 at 13:47

Hey guys, who do I trade Hogan out for ?? 479,500 in the bank

Thanks

    Jordan · 21/05/2015 at 14:21

Go with buddy or titch. Both solid picks

Freddy · 21/05/2015 at 14:17

On ya Jock,

Thinking of doing Rich to Glenn and Boekhurst up to JPK?

Thoughts??

Appreciate it community

Xavier · 21/05/2015 at 14:20

Love your work Jock,

I am upgrading Hogan this week with 265 in the warchest.
Wondering if I should risk rockliff or pick solid JPK?

Please help community

    Liam · 21/05/2015 at 14:50

    no

      Liam · 21/05/2015 at 14:51

      No to Jpk pick rocky

ThatDamnRascal · 21/05/2015 at 15:19

As the dust settles from round 7 and the team for this round begin to start dropping my trade thought is:
Out: Griffin, Vandenberg
In: Rocky, Mcdonald
20 trades left
With very limited rookies out there, Lever and De Goey are just too expensive and others can wait a week, looking at you Baily Dale as downgrades it leaves me light in the warchest 21k but locks down two more spots to full premo (with only 7 spots to fill over the byes rounds).

    Mr chan · 21/05/2015 at 15:43

Geez Nearly the same as me mate
Except for griff it’s lumumba with 22k left too haha

Mr chan · 21/05/2015 at 15:45

I’ve just heard Rockliff is still being managed carefully and still in pain… Should I or shouldnt I?

    Kev · 21/05/2015 at 16:31

Source on that one? He'll stay under 500k for after this week, so one more week holding off is not the worst thing in the world. At the moment I can just grab him for VBerg so I'm happy to grab get him in this week. I see him as a season long keeper

      Mr chan · 21/05/2015 at 17:01

      Afl.com.au
      Managed until the byes

Think il just grab him now.. Had him all last year and was my C when Ablett went down. Didnt let me down

Simon · 21/05/2015 at 20:15

Oxley and vanderberg traded out for lever and robbie Gray a good move

Ryan · 21/05/2015 at 20:15

Is T.mitchell the real deal this year and can we seriously expect him to be a top 6 forward this year?
