PODCAST: A Critical Season Crossroads
Podcast: Play in new window | Download
This is the part of the season that will make you. Or break you community.
We’ve endured another horrific weekend of late outs and ordinary performances by key players. Most have endured a donut or two. We’ve all taken our fair share of body blows. We’re battle weary. Some are flagging.
But this is the period of the season where the STRONG emerge my friends! And we have a STACK to get through with some absolutely delicious trade in options this week.
-
ATTN: Travis from “Travisty” – you’ve won yourself an Exoticlimo.com.au voucher son by taking the lead in the Jock Reynolds Group! Get in touch and well done
Fellas, How much cash should be in the chest coming into byes soon?
i have 641k
way to much to have right now. Theres 4 rounds left till byes, so its best to spend at least 3/4 of that cash and bring in some fallen premiums
Surely you're doing a double upgrade this week?
i have 110 k with my changes, 180 K without, but im not sure if that is enough
I would have a look at who you would like to bring into your side around the byes, and then have a look at what price they are likely to be at a particular round (which you can see via supercoach gold). Also have a look at what price some of your rookies will be at that price and calculate the difference. From there, plan around how you will get the cash to make those trades.
If going for league, then just put cash in the bank as you can and upgrade players when they bottom out and trade down rookies at their fullest price
If going for overall rank, then try to upgrade as quick as possible, might mean that you need to slaughter rookies early or grab fallen premos a week early.
I got 11k lol
Out: Fyfe
In: Bootsma
Solid
I concur
Not sure about Bootsma yet.
I would wait on Zac Dawson
Or Relton Roberts
good trade
POD
Vandenburg To priddis or Parker?
And what happened to Salem and Griffen
Are they injured and out for any time?
If so should I get rid of Griffen because I have sloane sitting on the pine as well
Also is lever a valid option?
Thanks
I’ve been looking for the same answers
Salem did his hammy. Now is the perfect time to chop him. Griffen is under clouds but still isn't showing promise.
Lever is an option, but could be under the vest this week. I'd consider trading straight swap with Griffen or Sloane to a Priddis or Parker.
You could do an old trade down to trade up with Griffen.
Don't thnk he's a vest candidate, not the right style
There was a Crows defender did a knee. That should give Lever better JS
Jaensch is a running half back where lever is a key position defender, completly different roles
But if Salem is out I don’t think I need to trade him
I will only trade him if he is going to lose me money
I’m just worried about Griffen
Will he play this week?
Agree. Not only that, whoever you bring in is either not playing or will have a bye in round 12 or 13. Get your bye structure right, trade in round 11 bye premos after r11, before r12 and r12 premos after r12, before r13 starts
Griffen red vest precautionary, wait for teams to come out, I reckon he’ll play
should i get on rockliff if i sacrifice CEY
Its an option but Yolmen will be back for round 9. If the trade is only misfortunate, then it will be a bad one since Yolmen has shown more consistency.
my midfield is decently loaded atm with cripps and yoleman being my m7 and m8.
this is my team http://gyazo.com/00b7765e48431d858445b1f1037ba653
i want mcdonald in asap but i fall short
which rookies could i go to to get in mcdonald
With a team looking that good, I'm guessing you've used a lot of trades already. I'd skip over Rockliff this week and save your trades til the byes.
You guys are nuts, rocky at $450k and you don't recommend bringing him in? He is straight in, no questions asked
People traded and declined to bring in Parker 2 weeks ago, that has already came back to hurt
used 8 so far. Ill potentially bring in rocky in round 12 since i have so many gun midfielders missing that round
This team looks impressive, but I realise my team has more $ value, so I feel like by trading a few rookies I will be at the same point. Wouldn't have thought looking at someone elses team would have made me so happy.
CEY to Lever/Pearce then upgrade Oxley to McDonald
Coach has said that CEY will be playing next week.
hold CEY
but get rocky
is rockliff ready to bring in?
If you cant fit him in next week id grab him, but im going to wait one more week, possible he wont hit breakeven, and even if he does he wont go up to much.
I'd put the house on him hitting BE (79) this week. This will be his lowest price but it won't break the bank to bring him in next round if you have other priorities.
High score of 97 might wait a week and fix other issues
Agreed. I want to see some decent runs on the board first.
yes
BE of less than 80
is lever a good downgrade option?
I'm jumping on
Don't think so TBH. Young key defender who will struggle to average much above 50. Think that 97 was a one off thing. Plus hes not cheap at 160k.
yes
I'm avoiding him, not many key position players can make money. JS is good though.
through DPP I am going Griffen to Lever and N Brown to Rance leaving me with 150k
is this smart?
or do I hold Griffen and get rid of vandenberg for Lever.
only have 70 k in the bank so cant go vandenberg to rocky…
thoughts???
Hold Griffen and trade down Vandenberg instead
It all depends on how bad Griffin's injury is. If it's nothing serious I'd prioritise trading out VDB.
Love your work Crouching One. Anyone have thoughts on Giants' Devon Smith as an option @ 507K?
Shhhh, don't tell anyone
Smith is overpriced with an average of 97.7 $507,700 with a b/e of 138.
Have been keeping an eye on him n waiting for a couple of bad games to bring him back down to value.
Buddy could be an option this week.
Cripps or rich out for Rockliff
Rich out…..rich out…..rich out and touch somebody.
Neither for mine. With Rocky back in the Lions side, Rich should escape the tag and run rampant. And Cripps is outscoring half our midfielders anyway.
Enter text right here!
I have Vandenberg, Griffen, Brown, Hogan, Oxley and 60k
what do I do?
I'm in the same boat and with McIntosh along with 11k to get me through….
I went Oxley down to Lever and Vandenberg up to Joel Selwood if your interested
Similar King. Looking at Oxley for lever and vandenberg out for Parker
King it would pay to wait another week on Selwood if you can as his break even is 125
Oxley to Lever is the obvious downgrade then upgrade Vandenberg to whomever you want perhaps Rockliff or Parker
Vdb and Oxley have the highest be’s so will lose the most cash, they are the priority to trade out
was thinking Ryan Griffen to Dayne Beams or to Matt Priddas and The gift lumumba to not sure in defence have 493 k to spend?
If you are feeling lucky Thurlow from is in their best 22 & knocked out 3 100s in a row.
I really like Beams as a option
Is it time to go Maric? I'm stuck with Nic Nat's poor scoring and am tempted to get my rucks straight. I know rucks are risky when it comes to trading but it could pay off.
I brought in mummy to join Goldy last week and very happy
Why would you get rid of Maric when he's averaging 103 and is the number 3 ruck and why are people telling you it's not a bad idea?????????
He asked if it was time to bring in Maric for Nic Nat, not get rid of him.
hold nic nat
im a tigers fan and Maric is suspect for a few shite games.
nic nat hasnt played alot of footy over last couple of years.. give him time. he will score 200 sometime soon
I'm not sure if you have ruck cover or not? I'd hold until you get an injury to one of your ruckmen and trade up then. You'd only be burning a trade otherwise and you would really kick yourself if the new ruckman went down soon after you got him with injury
Similar problem for me so have gone creative. Blicavs (MID/RUC) and H. Goddard (FWD/DEF) in as part of a Hogan and Vandenberg trade.
1. I can loophole Goddard if Clark goes large tonight.
2. Blicavs is certainly performing better than Nic Nat and the only reason I didn't do a sideways this week is that West Coast have St Kilda and Natanui may just deliver. If he does then great but if he hits his AVG again then next week i will drop him and use the cash to bring in another MID premo and put Blicavs in the RUC
Its a risk reward type of strategy but my season has been running that way so far so im may as well continue that way.
vandenberg or salem out?
both
Agree both
Hi community,
Just wondering if griffin will be out with his injury should I move him along or hold
Got geary, griffen, and salem what do I do with these boys
Griffen keep for the moment. Salem has to go. Haven't heard enough on Geary to decide yet
hold hibberd?
I’m going to. Lost too much cash and you can guarantee the minute you trade him out he will start pulling out tons. This happened to me last year!
you have too
dont want to lock in such a big loss
Is Dayne Beams a good option. He has been doing well (I think)
Ive had him all year and apart from his first few rounds I've been pretty happy. that being said if you have the extra cash id be looking at priddis or JPK (if you don't have him already).
Over his past four seasons he's averaged 101, 123, 102 and 116. He's 25 years old and averaging 109 so far this year. A few weeks ago some considered (and some acted on) trading him out due to poor performance.
I think he’ll be top 8, about 5th I reckon
Beams is awesome, but look for rocky this week
How many trades do we have left??
Or how many should we?
I'm only on 22 at the moment.
21.
No correct answer. How many long term injuries have you had? Overall ranking or league only? As long as you haven't wasted any on sideways trades, you've got enough trades left.
23
Higgo suggested last week to go into the byes with 20 trades, in saying that I currently have 23.
20 before trading this round.
22 after this week
i just used my 2 this week
i have 20 left
I am. I'd only consider trading down defence once everything else looks fine.
Anyone know if harley bennel will play next week ?
Depends how hard he celebrates the loss tonight
Hahajahahahaha
+1
nah mate
he will be out on the pingaz
Good podcast lads.
Been a very tough round. Good to have a few laughs at the end of it….sometimes you can only laugh.
1916 with one 0. My rank is free falling, was mid 200's, tick outside 1000 on Friday, now in 5K's.
Rapt i get Lewis back, but worried that you mentioned Bennell and weeks…..please tell me no, no, no, no!! Already have Hodge & Sloane on the pine. Can't sideways any premiums, as won't hit full premium.
Looking at VandenBerg > Treloar 490K this week.
Take out Treloar's one flop of 48 when his entire team were putrid @ Subiaco v WCE, and he's averaging 113. Has dropped about 80-90K from starting cost.
Enjoy the week ahead everyone.
Yep think Treloar has upside at a nice price.
I went Shiel last week and am pleased so far.
Giants and Dogs are on the up.
Wondering if there is much value in fallen premiums at the moment. Rockliff, Barlow and Dom Tyson are expected to continue falling and Gibbs, Stevie J and Nathan Jones have showed next to nothing to bother consideration. I am thinking at looking at a JPK or Beams who have still lost money but are both around that 570k. Thoughts?
Cheers Community
I'm going to Joel Selwood. Only 532k with a BE of 126 and always kills it against the blues so very achievable
Rockliff, no brainer. This will be his bottom price, yet to hit his stride since a terrible start to the year. Nothing but upside with him IMO.
Rockliff and Barlow are the only two fallen premiums on that list. Either of them are worth consideration or conservatively JPK and Beams are solid.
get rocky
Do I use two trades to get Rocky? Was 7k off going Brayshaw up to Rocky grrr…… Would leave me with 200k in the bank going Oxley to Lever. 18 trades left after doing those trades ouchhh injuries….. Would there be any other rookie options on the bubble (any position)
to get rocky you need to make 2 trades
sorry to say
i would advise to hold Ox, but in your case u need to Eff him off. bring in the raging bull
is i time for oxley to go with his 90 BE? He is playing GC so its possible he could reach it
He's averaging 82 with a BE of 95. Time to move on, I'm going to Lever
If your going to move him on then now is best the time. unfortunately due to injuries I have other priorities this week. Considering his average, the dearth of defensive downgrade options and the sheer number of trades I've used due to serious injuries to premos, I'm tempted to hold onto Oxley (and Saad) for the season.
im holding
I really think he will go very close this week to his BE…keep
Oxley to Mitchell and Lonie to Parker. Good move?
Solid trades.
Oxley to Lever and Vandenberg to Franklin or Treloar?
I'm doing the same and getting Jelwood
Treloar over Frankin. MID scoring output always beats FWD scores over the season
My Supercoach team so far:
15 Keepers (Shaw, Smith, Simpson. Fyfe, Pendles, JPK, Lewis, Selwood. Goldstein, Maric. Gray, Bont, Swanny, Dusty, Goddard)
2 Mids/Maybe Keepers (Newnes. Griffen)
5 On-field Rookies (Saad, Lever. Krak. Tarrant, Clark)
8 Bench Rookies (McIntosh, Brown. McKenzie, Glenn, Anderson. Read. Hogan, Lambert)
Thoughts on the structure at this time in the year?
Guys. You all may think I'm crazy but I'm not sure Rockliff can sustain last years form and end up a top 8 mid, thus I don't think I will be bringing him in. What are your thoughts?
Totally agree with you Tyler, I would like to see one decent score before wasting a trade I can't afford.
Extremely unlikely he'll average what he did last season but you can safely assume a 105+ average at the minimum from here on out. At 450k what more do you want? Season long averages he won't be a top 8 mid but from round 8 onwards he has every chance to be one. There's no risk at bringing him in at that price.
It's similar to Tom Mitchell last week. The scoring potential and massive upside is there and there that cheap if they do fire and score what there capable of, it'll really hurt you not picking them at there basement price.
I'd be a lot more comfortable if he'd punched out 100+ this week, but I think he'll just gather steam once he can get a run of games. I'm in for him, you won't get him cheaper.
If you look at his stats from the last 2 years he's started slow and come home like a steam train 2nd half of the year
Thanks for all the feedback. Hmm not sure, I'll definitely wait this week to see how he goes.
as everyone has said its all about the value, i think the lowest he’ll average from here is 105 which for 450k is a no brainier for m8 at worst.
Don't underestimate the effect of his recent concussion. It'll take him about three weeks to fully recover. There are other examples this year where post concussion scores had coaches frustrated with their player's output. Luke Parker is a prime example. I'm sure his coaches are now glad they held him. 90s at this stage for Rocky should turn to 120s when he's right.
you have big ball to not get him.
many players did not start with GOD
and they had a win.
by not getting Rocky you may set yaself apart from the pack.
but thats a very big MAY
i say BRING IN THE RAGING BULL
Everyone's thoughts on Ziebell? If you exclude the 4 against Port, he's averaging 103 for the season which is the same as Goddard but 100k cheaper.
When it feels like every week, different popular SC picks get suspended / injured / rested, is it to risky to pick someone like Ziebell who has a higher suspension / injury chance compared to others?
As a mad Roo’s supporter, I’d live to bring him in, but just can’t trust him not to commit kamikaze!
Literally… I would live! I’d love him too!
If you exclude his 4 you might as well exclude his 150 which shows he is a 90 average player at best.
Ziebell also likes to run into things with his head.
Yep risk vs reward, I took him a fortnight ago for 390k, averaging 94 without the 150 and the 5. But really the only average that matters is the one from when you pick him onwards, for 390k he will be my perfect f7m9 loophole by seasons end, although I’ve got a vision of him averaging 105 for the rest of the year.
Starting to lock my team away. So careful thought is going into who to bring in.
Outs will be Vandenberg(has peaked) and Griffin( had enough of his inconsistent performances)
Think Lever has some good coin to make coming into the round 11 bye So I can cull a mid and flick Saad/Mckenzie into the middle.
Already have the likes of Pendles, Fyfe, Watson, Lewis
Leaves me with plenty of cash to grab
Priddis – You would think he's top 8 Mids this year,
Parker- Finally found form and looks to build on that.
Rockliff- Is he really a must?
Armitage- He's been very consistent
Shiel – Keeps getting the job done.
So many to choose from
I’ll be shocked if vandenberg reaches his b/e and griffen just has to go asap.
Paying peak price for priddis and armitage and lowest price for rockliff and parker. All should be similar scoring and personally wouldnt be able to justify spending an extra 150k on armitage or priddis instead of rockliff. Look at the byes of all the players and pick accordingly. With pendles/fyfe/jobe may be tough to add parker to that aswell with all same bye round
Is it stupid to trade jack lonie to kane lampert purely for his dpp and captain loophole ability? Lonies going to fall heaps with that 3, no rookies coming through and full premo fwd line.
You think Lambert will come back in at some stage
Nope not stupid – you think lambert will get games in the back half of the season – Jack Steele is another option but it sounds like Lonie won’t play this week so I would delay trading him as he won’t loose any money this week
Armitage over $600K – avoid you are buying in at top of price.
The rest are fine selections.
May hold this week. Some rookies will drop a bit (Oxley, Vandenberg, Lonie) but then so may the premos who I intend to bring in.
Is it too late for Titch? Had other priorities last week but he seems the real deal
VDB -> Titch
Oxley -> Rocky (via dpp)
Solid trades James.
Not too late for titch at all but this would be last chance for sure if you are keen
Don't see why it's last chance. Plenty picked up Goddard at $500k+. If Titch is a top 6 forward, I'll pick him up at whatever price he's at when it suits my structures. I'm not a price sensitive consumer.
Picking right more important than picking cheap
Picking both is best. I'm in the same boat as OP and getting Tmitch this round.
Your right my last four trades have been McDonald and Ziebell 2 weeks ago, and t Mitch and d Mac this week! All cheap and all ticks so far…..definately not too late for t Mitch, will struggle to score less than 85 on a bad day.
Same for me. Cash generation from rookies is on track and I've chartered out my trades for a fully upgraded team. I'll make a decision on Mitchell and McDonald after the byes. I'd rather pay more with a solid track record than go earlier for a bargain and endure a nervous wait. If funds were tight things might be different.
I have rookies such as
Lonie, vdb, n brown, heeney, Ellis yolmen, Mcintosh
They are all peaking do not know wether to cull them or one up and one down
CEY likely to return. All will need to go at some stage but culling to bubble boys is preferable. VDB would be the first on the block for mine.
cold dom tyson be one to look to bring in for vandenberg?
nope plenty of better options around Jim
who to get rid of for Lever?
Oxley, Griffen (DPP), V-Berg (DPP) ??
Not Griffen. Either of the other two fine.
BACK: Shaw, simpson, newnes, lumumba, Oxley,Saad ( mckintosh and hamling)
Mid: Fyfe, selwood, Gray, D.Mckenzie, Kennedy, Shiel, Cripps, Vanderberg( CEY, Krak, Blakely)
Ruck: Ryder, Nicnat( read)
FWD: Roughy, Martin, Bont, Hogan, Franklin,Tarrant( Lonie and lambert)
I have 250K to spend
Not sure if I want to get in Rock this week.
Any suggestions?
You dont have Pendles, I would consider fixing that and getting Rocky in.
I have Saad, Oxley and Mckezie on field with only Brown as Bench cover
im thinking of swinging mckenzie into the mids and trading vandenberg or Griffen to Lever then upgrading Brown to someone like Rance. Is there something else I should do?
Maybe Oxley down to lever?
Sounds fine Liam but Vandy down to lever preferred.
If you could have a bad week, I had it.
Scored 1725, blasting my ranking from 7,000 ovr to 35,000.
B. Smith, Salem, Z. Smith, Vandenberg, McIntosh, Selwood (chose him over Priddis at the last second and put him captain), Clark, Cripps on field, Ibbotson, Griffen, McKenzie. I could go on….
Great podcast once again lads
I’ve lost my marbles on griffen now
can’t have him in my side any longer so he’s out for treloar
Now I just need a rookie to build some bank balance as I’m now at 17k
Does Oxley have anymore money to make?
Or mckintoch, saad, CEY, Salem,Clark or lonie
They are the one to go
Whos the one that needs to go?
Oxley average below BE, can go this week. CEY likely to return. Salem injured needs to go. McIntosh can wait a week so can Clark. Saad will return.
shame that CEY and Saad didn't play this week, that would have got them closer to culling. need to hold them as more cash to be made.
Oxley is ready to go. salem already gone.
The only good the about CEY and saad missing is the fact they can be the last traded out
But yeah Oxley looks like the one that needs to go
Like I said before treloar looks like a viable selection with lever from the crows which leaves a bit of cash
Or I could bring in rocky
Not sold in rocky yet for this year
Hasn’t gotten over 100 yet
Agreed Rocky isn't near his best yet, but not too far off – the possessions will come soon enough. The thing that has got me excited is last two games, he is averaging 9 tackles per game. He is working hard when he doesn't have the ball and with Bombers/Saints/Giants as the next three for the Lions, Rocky may not be less than 500k for too long!!
Hmmmmm nuch to ponder
Because if i bring rocky in i can also bring docerty in too
Saves downgrading
I just see a lot of upside to treloar
But with the money of a couple of rookies i might miss out on too
koke lever or strech if he can not be sub
The inly good thing is i only need one mid if i dont trade griff but he needs to go
So if i bring treloar in this week can being rocky in next
Hmmmmmmm
And both are way unders
Hi, my team is Travisty currently 6th overall, says I've won a voucher up top?
6th overall Travis, majestic mate, well done.
Huge Thumbs Up bro
keep it going!
Show us your team.
as steve bracks would say, well done!
Killing it Travis!
Need to get rid of Salem, lumumba, vandenberg. Have 641k so I can afford anyone who should I get?
Pendles, JPK, priddis, rocky? Have 22 trades left.
Defence: shaw, newnes, Oxley, KMAC, Dmac, Goodes (brown, saad)
Mid: Fyfe, beams, Gray, Parker, Ebert, lumumba, vandenberg, jack Steven (CEY, heeney, Glenn)
Ruck; Maric, Nic Nat (read)
Fwd: swan, titch, Martin, TBC, Tarrant, Salem (Clark, krak)
You should get all four, how and when is up to you, but all 4 should make your side.
2296 boys now ranking around 2000th
Players I'm thinking of trading: Mcintosh, Smith, Griffen, Clark.
Who needs to go first? Or should i just hold all?
I only have 20 trades.
Please help out with trade options or if you think I should hold.
Thanks
Smith and griffin are long term premos. That may still come good.
McIntosh & Clark were only cash cows, they need to be culled.
thoughts on lewis taylor only about 300000 played up the ground the last two weeks had 22 and 28 disposals and 70 and 92 supercoach points could be bargain if he can average 90.
now is not the time to bring in mid pricers unless you think they can be keepers.
My team so far would love some thoughts
Der – t McDonald , h shaw , h Taylor , j newnes , a saad , t hunt (k Macintosh and b Goodes )
Mid – n Fyfe , d Shiel , d beams , p dangerfield , j Selwood , t miller , c Ellis yolmen , t Rockliff ( d Mckenzie , j Glenn , m dick )
Ruck – t Goldstein , t Bellchambers ( r obrien )
Fwd – d swan , b Goddard , r Gray , l franklin , m bontempelli , r Tarrant ( m Clark , t lamb )
Good team mate except for Bellchambers.leaking points bad
He cost $300k and is averaging 69 points. He may not be performing as well as we would like but he's certainly not leaking points. Having said that I prefer him at F6 than R2.
He is leaking points because many other coaches have solid second rucks (I have goldy/maric for example)
So you’re loosing 30-40 points a week by having Tom I. Your team (at least he isn’t loosing cash but he has to go, been playing injured)
That's rightBK,
I got him out after round 3 and happy ever since
Great podcast as always gents, always gets my Monday morning off to a good start.
Rocky in – may just break all time trade in records.
Rocky in not even in the top 5 trades this week according to SC Gold – utter madness!
Yeah ignore that I was looking at the "Players Traded In – Not In My Team" table 🙂
Anyone know how bad Lonie's head-smacking was? Is he likely to play this week?
Really need Saad and Cripps back this week. The cupboard looked very bare without them.
CEY still another week away?
Read that CEY and Cripps likely starters this round.
Back – Shaw, Tmac, Taylor, Oxley, Prince, Saad (Mcintosh, Hamling)
Mids – Fyfe, Pendles, Selwood, Rich, Griffen, Lewis, Miller, Mitchell (VDB, Yolmen, McKenzie)
Rucks -Goldy, TBC (Cox)
Forward – Gray, Martin, Walker, Salem, Tarrant, Clark (Krakour, Lonie)
235k in the bank
2 options
1- Salem and Griffen > Goddard and Rocky (minimal cash left over)
2 – Salem and VDB > Lever and Rocky (more cash left over)
if anyone has any other options, help a brother out xox
I have similar problems. I am thinking this week it is more important to get TBC out and a decent R2 into my team. Either Sauce, Mummy, Maric.
I think I can wait a week for rocky, but TBC is just not getting it done like I hoped.
i first picked TBC hoping for an 70-80 average throughout the year, hes at 68 right now, which isnt great, but i think there is more important postions i can upgrade on before i look at my ruck stocks
I have Goldy, Maric and Bellchambers. I am not really pleased with TBC's output either, but I will keep him until the completion of round 13. Maric has the bye in round 11, TBC round 12 and Goldy rnd 13. No donuts in my ruck during the byes barring injuries. To me TBC is strategically significant for another 6 weeks. He will spend a fair bit of time on the pine next month, but I can live with that.
Cheers
Dont have enough cash to go Salem -> Goddard and VDB -> Rocky? that would be the ideal upgrades…..I personally am looking to hold Griffen at this stage..
Another option: Oxley -> Lever/Pearce, VDB -> Rocky. Put Salem on the bench (a little risky as no fwd bench cover), but this will build up your warchest even more, then next week you can go bang bang on Salem -> fallen premo fwd (or Goddard) or a premo mid (via Mitchell DPP). You should still have enough to then upgrade either of Clark/Lonie in the FWDs or McIntosh/Saad/Prince in the BACs
im about 100k short on your first option
but your 2nd leaves me 335k.
only problem is –
Saad – may or may not play (along with players under performing – Prince, Taylor)
Lever – Hit and miss (again, along with players under performing ^)
no forward bench cover
with 335 in the bank, i can cash in on Salem and get Dale (JS is a problem though)
then upgrade 1 player to a premo (who ever is maxed out in price after next week)
Perfect ointment for the wounds of this round, gents!
Can't stand Griff. Glad we got him in our side but doing squat all on my SC team.
Oxley to Tmac
Griff to Rockliff (sideways yet Rocky will come correct and hit the 130s in no time)
If there is to be a low point to my season, I'm hoping this round was it. Onward and upward!
Hey Throtts, as a GWS fan, what's you're feel on Treloar? (I'm not trying to be lazy, I just haven't had the opportunity to see GWS play much this year).
I have Treloar and I think he's good option!
Agree. Especially at the price!
Not a lot not to like about Treloar, Jimi. Good with the ball and his kicking seems to have gone up a notch. Ward, Griff and Shiels will always get more attention. He may get the odd 80 but he's repay you with 120+.
Can see him averaging 105. Won't be top 10 but could be an excellent POD M8.
Cheers Throtts.
Griffin out for Rockliff and Lumumba out for Picken. Both have round 11 byes which balances my side nicely. 9, 10 and 11 out respectively over the 3 byes.
Priddis, Parker, B Smith and Franklin will have to be looked at later.
Don't trade those boys, you will regret it
vandenberg or salem out?
Salems done his hammy so he will be out for a couple and vandenberg has a break ever getting up around his average so if you have bench cover for Salem I would look at getting rid of vandenberg before he starts bleeding cash.
whos a good optin for griffen except rockliff and thoughts on b gibbs? 445k
Avoid Carlton "premos" IMO.
Which 2 to trade out out of Vandenberg hogan, griffen, mcintosh, heeney, ksimpson??
Vandenberg as a priority – he's not getting anywhere near his BE of 98!!
Hogan – next
Whats the severity of Bennell's injury anyone know??
Corked knee – apparently he’ll play this week (assuming he stays off the frothies)
Need to cull 2 of the following as a pure cash grab to upgrade others next week: Oxley, Lumumba, Hogan, McIntosh, Heeney. I guess they all need to go but what order to I start with?
Only have $48k atm.
Lum would be #1
Hogan probably #2
But I'm holding on Hogan?
Lum to who then?
Probably Hogan but I'm not trading hogan yet?
Depends on ur structure?
I'm keeping Oxley Hogan Mcintosh and heeney for now for later trades…..just because they probably wont lose to much money if any?
My Team as follows
DEF:
Shaw – Hooker – Oxley – Newnes – Lum – Andrews (Saad – McIntosh)
MID:
Fyfe – Pendles – Kennedy – Goddard – Selwood – Miller – Krak – McKenzie (CEY – Heeney – Glenn)
RUC:
Goldy – Maric (Downie)
FWD:
Swan – Gray – Martin – Franklin – Bont – Tarrant (Hogan – Clark)
Keep Hogan and Clark!?!? I am…thinking Clark has big game coming up…..think Hogan has a few dollars to make but dont trade him yet! Trade Lumba!!! Might wanna hold on CEY Heeeney and Glenn?
Hogan can be good coverage as well as Clark…..think you would do yourself good by only using 1 trade this week and on Lumba! Mid and Fwd lines look good and Back line looks good too!
Keep Lumumba, he never misses and is a def so nit missing out on huge scores being a defender
Easy trade, hogan has peaked and if he makes money will be small and Heaney out for a while so he is the 2nd
Rockliff has to come straight in, should ave 110 from hear and a 450 is a steal! If you have the coin jump straight onto treloard at 490k
Don't trade Lumumba, you picked as a premo, he rarely gets injured and has a history as a 80pt ave, which this season in defence as d5/6 is satisfactory
Lumba sucks!!! You are dipchit if you think he's a premo!!!!
TRADE LUMBA he sucks!
Ive heard Lumba would average 100 all year and he isn't close to it and wont be and never will be lucky whats he's averaging now! whats that like 67?? That's why he's isn't on my side….he blows get rid of him don't listen to this knucklehead!!!
I would think Oxley – he has reached his peak – with a BE of 95 he will struggle to reach that and you dont want to be losing money on rookies you bought in for cash generation. Next would be Hogan – his BE is 77, McIntosh BE is 47……Heeney is injured so you can keep him on the pine for a little bit longer.
I'm personally looking to hold Hogan as well – considering lack of fwd rookies/bench cover…
Oxley shouldn't lose any money in the next week? Lumba is bleeding!
