Supercoach 2015Lekdog takes over!

Sloane is OUT with a jaw, he joins Saad and Glenn for the major outs this week.
But the biggest out this week is Jock himself, the great man is sick and I’ve taken the green vest off and jumped straight into, let’s get into it!

As mentioned in the podcast – a MASSIVE weekend for Moneyball  –  Sign up here – also search for Jock Reynolds for our community contests.

randomcliche · 14/05/2015 at 22:08

Welcome Lek!

    randomcliche · 14/05/2015 at 22:35

Love ya work. Thanks for the discussion of all the fallen premo mids. Really useful.

Just wondering if anyone else here is in the SC cup. That expensive try win a ute thing. If so what is rank? Do you have a bye? I do and I’m ranked 2k in SC cup and 25k overall.

    LEKD0G · 15/05/2015 at 00:00

    Thanks mate

Ethan · 14/05/2015 at 22:14

Ellis Yoleman. How many weeks away, should we hold him during bye rounds or move on

    @KingWinter7 · 14/05/2015 at 22:45

I'm heavily considering trading to avoid a donut this week

    Jimi · 14/05/2015 at 22:58

For what it's worth I'm keeping him for now, I just have other rookies who are more of a priority to cull. He still has a couple of games left before his $ slow up, should be cheery ripe for the post bye rounds.

    Kev · 15/05/2015 at 11:07

Definitely trade to avoid a donut. AFL injury list still has him at 1-2 weeks away. He is averaging 91 with a b.e of 21 when he returns

      @KingWinter7 · 15/05/2015 at 11:08

      Can't tell if sarcasm….

        randomcliche · 15/05/2015 at 12:34

Don’t think he’s being sarcastic. I think he values points. Not a bad thing in this game. CEY had done his job so it’s not bad to trade, it’s just that he can do more.

        WombatsFC · 15/05/2015 at 13:18

Not sarcasm he was just pointing out that CEY is ave 91 and will make another $30k next time he plays. The only reason you should trade him before his 420k price peak is to prevent a donut or to get a higher scoring cheaper player with superior job security.

Josh · 14/05/2015 at 22:14

Hey guys
This is my team

Shaw, hibberd,Oxley, kmac, saad, brown, newnes, Goddard

Fyfe, Dangerfield, Sloane, swallow, Griffen, Cripps, vandenberg, miller, Ellis yolmen, krakour, Mckenzie

Goldy, maric TBC,
Gray, swan, franklin, Martin, Salem, Mitchell, Tarrant, lambert
200k in the bank
What do I need to fix first?

    Danny · 14/05/2015 at 22:20

If you were to go Salem to Goddard your Foward line would be pretty much finished, that being said Salem has a few more weeks of money making after last weeks 100+

I'd say up down Kmac and Vandenburg if you've got plenty trades left, hold Sloane for a week and go to Rockliff,
If you want to up Sloane this week then JPK looks a good option

    judd0 · 15/05/2015 at 14:34

Hold you don't need to fix anything really.
Whenever Salem peaks again trade him out for goddard.
Get Pendlebury soon in the mids.

wayno1313 · 14/05/2015 at 22:16

Do you guys lock in trades or do you wait just before the games?

    Brookesy · 14/05/2015 at 22:30

Wait – to check for subs and late changes, etc.

    @t_woof · 14/05/2015 at 22:47

I wait for as long as possible……say within 5 mins before match including that player starts.

    dognino · 14/05/2015 at 22:57

I usually wait, but need to trade early and use swing sets in order to avoid donuts now that there are a few outs I wasn't expecting.

    The Bont · 14/05/2015 at 23:24

usually lock in trades because can't guarantee I'll be available to make trades right before games/scared I'll forget

    LEKD0G · 15/05/2015 at 00:01

Wait as long as I can

    SideBySidebottom · 15/05/2015 at 18:51

By the sounds of things I must have the worst memory around here. I trade early Friday so that I don't forget and now with the Footy Alerts app I make adjustments when a late change arises and adjust bench options accordingly. The only exception to this rule is if one trade relates to a Friday night game and is interdependent on the other.

@KingWinter7 · 14/05/2015 at 22:17

I've got a dilemma. At the moment i'm copping a donut in the mids (Lewis, CEY, Glenn, Anderson)
My first trade is Hogan to Mckenzieleaving me with about 166k

Option 1: Take the donut like a man and upgrade Hogan to Betts / T Mitch (only like 3k off the Bont) :((((

Option 2: Upgrade CEY to the Bont (Other forwards are Gray, Swanny, Dusty, Goddard)

Cheers 🙂

    randomcliche · 14/05/2015 at 22:39

Can you run Tmitch in the mids? Or is he already there?

      @KingWinter7 · 14/05/2015 at 22:43

Nah my current premo mids are Fyfe, Pendles, Lewis, JPK, Griffen.
And my current premo fwds are Gray, Swanny, Dusty, Goddard

      randomcliche · 14/05/2015 at 22:55

I.e. not sure what swing set you are swing set you are using for hogan fwd to Mckenzie mid/def. No probs in holding hogan for another week. CEY will prolly earn more more than the others in the short run, but if he has done his job for your structure then I’d sell…I sold him when he was first injured.

    randomcliche · 15/05/2015 at 12:39

Trade one of CEY, Anderson, Glenn, in that order. CEY as he has made cash consistent with strategy. Anderson I don’t think is reliable enough to make serious dollars before bye rounds with Lewis and Hodge returning over the next fortnight. Glenn well consider it an unlucky injury issue but suggest holding to get better idea of time frame.

Nicholas · 14/05/2015 at 22:20

priddis or jpk?

    Ethan · 14/05/2015 at 22:21

    priddis as a pod

      The Ranger · 14/05/2015 at 23:45

      Toss a coin?

    The Bont · 14/05/2015 at 23:24

    Sean · 14/05/2015 at 23:53

I brought in Priddis because it suits my bye structure better

    LEKD0G · 15/05/2015 at 00:02

Both will have almost the same output I like Priddis though

Tom · 14/05/2015 at 22:22

Hold or trade Simpson? Not named Again

    brook · 14/05/2015 at 22:39

same dilemna .., thinking of trading but will only do so if i decide he is not a top 9 defender, otherwise i need him back and will waste 2 trades. he is currently ranked 35 on avg so seems a long way off. his initial appeal was 22 games so this is not what we expected. leaning toward birchall as like for like

Ethan · 14/05/2015 at 22:23

out of the four who's going to score the most this week
Jake Kelly

    @KingWinter7 · 14/05/2015 at 22:44

    1. Krak
    2. Mckenzie
    3. Mcintosh
    4. Kelly

throttlefinger · 14/05/2015 at 22:31

That was simply Lektacular!

Appreciate the wisdoms on the Swans mids. Frugal gambler wants to bring in Parker but the sensible kingpin is adamant about JPK. And we need to listen to one who wears the crown.

Top job with the Community Night poddie, dog!

    LEKD0G · 15/05/2015 at 00:05

All good mate, thanks for setting me up with a good question

HTK · 14/05/2015 at 22:31

LEKDOG!!!! Great to have you on the podcast!
How about LEKDOG in the bunker as a POD this season!?!?!? Turning the super premo status of flapping tarps to super elite premo.
Which rookie out of Vandenberg or Hogan should I get rid of?
Love your work LekDog and I love the community

    @KingWinter7 · 14/05/2015 at 22:44

    Get rid of Hogan

    Jacob · 14/05/2015 at 23:09

Im getting rid of VDB only because i need more cover in MIDS than FWD atm. Pretty confident Hogan will at lease go 60+ and might even go really big against a Hawks side lacking Brian Lake.

    LEKD0G · 15/05/2015 at 00:05

    Thanks mate, had a blast.
    I'm ditching Hogan

    SideBySidebottom · 15/05/2015 at 18:54

Will Hogan be this weeks Salem?

Luke · 14/05/2015 at 22:41

burgoyne or docherty?

    Jimi · 14/05/2015 at 23:08

    Jacob · 14/05/2015 at 23:14

    LEKD0G · 15/05/2015 at 00:05

I like Docherty but Silk is safer

    WombatsFC · 15/05/2015 at 13:24

is there a 3rd option? Both are gun players but Burg is prone extended runs of sub or low 80's and Simmo looks like he's lost faith in mad mick.

      Luke · 15/05/2015 at 14:27

maybe the likes of enright but i believe hes at top price or near enough to it, who else would you have in mind?

Anth · 14/05/2015 at 22:42

My thoughts this week:

– Keeping Saad on the bench (use him as a loophole for now)
– Keeping Sloane on the bench (will trade to Rockliff next week)

– Hogan to T Mitchell (great value/dpp)
– Ellis Yolmen to D McKenzie (gives me flexibility with my defence/mid swaps which I don’t have)

Think I’m on the right track, or disagree with my moves?

    HTK · 14/05/2015 at 22:46

Do you have another rookie who needs the chop? Posssible value to come with ellisyolman if you can hold him.

      randomcliche · 14/05/2015 at 22:58

        Anth · 15/05/2015 at 13:28

I do have Kamdyn McIntosh… he may be a better option than Ellis Yolmen.

          SideBySidebottom · 15/05/2015 at 18:56

          Much better.

r2d2 · 14/05/2015 at 22:44

Rich to Parker …. Seriously considering this move !!! And Cripps to rocky in next week or so , or vandenberg to Rocky

    Jimi · 14/05/2015 at 23:10

Parker finally cracked the ton last week, hopefully his season is turning.

Love the Cripps the Rocky move, I've been plotting it for a couple of weeks myself. Have you compared their value graphs on SC Gold, they are going to align almost perfectly next week – it truly is a thing of beauty.

      SideBySidebottom · 15/05/2015 at 19:04

Unless Rockliff scores over 100. His price projection is based on his current concussion effected average of 56.

psyrick · 14/05/2015 at 22:45

With all this talk of Tom Mitchell, and I have no one else of too much concern except for maybe Kade Simpson, to take a punt on a forward POD, and I am liking the look of Devon Smith. He fits well in my overall plan of my team, but getting him would mean culling Vandenberg or McKintosh early for McKenzie. With my defense a bit depleted in players I could still use Tosh so do you all think I should cull him or chop Vandy?

Thanks Community and nice work on the podcast Lekdog.

    Bog rat · 14/05/2015 at 22:56

    Keep Devon Smith quiet

      Traderlyf · 15/05/2015 at 00:27

      150k difference

    Charlesy · 15/05/2015 at 12:07

I’d still go Tosh to McKenzie mate. Make a bit of cash, save vandenberg and Mckenzie is probably going to out score tosh anyway.

      SideBySidebottom · 15/05/2015 at 19:06

      Yep, Cull McIntosh.

@t_woof · 14/05/2015 at 22:54

Good stuff on the podcast Lek! Big shoes to fill, and you did well.

Touk Miller….every time i hear his name, it's a though someone is swearing at me. Especially this weekend…….

Weeks ago tossed up Jed Anderson or Miller > Van Berlo, the decision still haunts me. Now that Jed is out, Miller killing it, and Lewis, Glenn + Sloane occupy my bench = donut. Really wanted to hold Sloane, but the gods have spoken.

On the Tom Mitchell debate, i'm still sitting on the fence…..not sure.

Also i'd prefer Barlow to Mitchell and Parker. Took Barlow last weekend. Very solid option.

    SideBySidebottom · 15/05/2015 at 19:10

If you want Rocky sideways from Sloane should be okay. If he scores over 100 his price will only drop by about $25k. His $56k price drop is based on his concussion effected average of 56.

    @t_woof · 17/05/2015 at 16:08

I got that completely wrong. Parker & Tom Mitchell ton up, Barlow 64.

Barlow so frustrating, 52 @ HT and finishes on 64.

@RyanRhino14 · 14/05/2015 at 22:55

I want to trade Van Berlo and I already have McKenzie, do I bring in Stretch or swing McKenzie into my MIDS and get Schade or Lever?

    HTK · 15/05/2015 at 01:20

Change your strategy! Bringing in rookies after one game is a no. Why people have van bello ill never know.

    @t_woof · 15/05/2015 at 17:13

If i had to choose, i'd go with Lever. Solid output game 1, and also named on the ground this week. This also sets you up with a Def/Mid swing.

I do have to somewhat agree with HTK, bringing in a rookie after just the one game is flaunt with danger. I did it last round with Glenn, and now i have a donut in my midfield as i also have Sloane, Lewis & J.Anderson.

I'd hold onto Van Berlo. The amount of cash he drops could end up being a small price to pay to get another look at both Lever and Stretch.

      SideBySidebottom · 15/05/2015 at 19:13

Yes hold but if you're going to be impetuous then Lever.

        SideBySidebottom · 15/05/2015 at 19:14

That sound like a Stockbroker's advice.

Stickman · 14/05/2015 at 23:02

Should I trade Sloane out for Tom Mitchell or should I bring in a POD fallen premo such as Barlow or Shuey?

    Jacob · 14/05/2015 at 23:16

If youve got plenty of trades left take the punt on Mitchell, if not go for a proven premo like Barlow or even Priddis if you dont have him.

      Stickman · 14/05/2015 at 23:43

I have 24 left pre-trade not sure if that is a lot or not for this time of the season

        The Ranger · 14/05/2015 at 23:51

That's a reasonably good amount of trades left I'd say.
Not sold on Mitchell's job security so if you can afford it maybe go for Priddis instead. Not a POD but very reliable. Armpitage would be a POD if you have the cash.

          Stickman · 14/05/2015 at 23:58

Have 250k in the bank so can afford to go anywhere.

    Dunc · 15/05/2015 at 12:57

Tom Mitchel will play every game left this year, even the bye round. He has Towers-Cunn-Lloyd-Jack covered.
He is even being named on the ground now. Get him in urgently. Great F6.

    Ben · 15/05/2015 at 14:50

    lol shuey

    @t_woof · 15/05/2015 at 17:19

Depends what your current midfield looks like Stickman.

If you have 5 premium midfielders, then i'd look at bringing another in. If you have 6, then perhaps take Tom Mitchell.

Jeremy · 14/05/2015 at 23:05

Can afford any midfielder for Sloane, but preferably would like to select one in the 520-550k range to allow for my planned double upgrade next week.

Current starting midfield is Fyfe, Pendlebury, JPK, Selwood, Sloane**, Parker, Cripps, vandenBerg.

So with that being said, the main targets I’m looking at are Dangerfield, Priddis, Neale and perhaps Beams.

Who does everyone think the best option is? Leaning towards Dangerfield as I think he will up his midfield time with Sloane and Douglas out, but Priddis’ consistency is tempting.

    Ethan · 14/05/2015 at 23:14

Danger can get tagged out of games. Priddis is hard to tag

    Jimi · 14/05/2015 at 23:21

I have almost the exact same midfield (swap Selwood for Griff).

For all sorts of reasons I didn't feel compelled by any of the fallen premos available this week. Instead I traded Sloan for Goddard, swung him fwd and bought T Miller on field.

I'm not sold on Danger improving just because Sloan is out, I'm not sold that Neale can keep up his form, Beams will probably stay around his current price for another week (if you can wait) so if I were you I'd go Priddis you won't get him any cheaper.

    Scott · 15/05/2015 at 15:58

What about Watson, Ward or Mundy? Wait for Sidebottom to get back?

    @t_woof · 15/05/2015 at 17:22

    Nice midfield Jeremy!!

Of the four you've mentioned i'd go with Priddis. Mainly for consistency. The other three can go big, but also throw in 60-70's.

Barlow is my pick of the fallen premiums this week. I went early, and took him last week.

    SideBySidebottom · 15/05/2015 at 19:19

Can't see Dangerfield finishing in the top ten midfielders. Priddis or Rockliff. I know Rockliff's a popular target for next week but I'm not convinced his price will drop dramatically.

The Bont · 14/05/2015 at 23:20

Hmmmmm I don't like change :'(((

    HTK · 15/05/2015 at 01:32

    Get stuffed!

OldOcker · 14/05/2015 at 23:24

Lek, Go to the top of the class mate.
A job well done, No humour necessary on Thursday it is a serious time of the week.
Had the pleasure of playing golf at the old golf course up Upwey way a few years ago. They should have a sign (Mountain Goats Only)

On a more serious note: Don't worry about the videos you have a good head for radio.

On an even more serious note: Please ignore this comment.

    SideBySidebottom · 15/05/2015 at 19:21

    Don't play at Olinda then………………

Mighty_Hondo · 14/05/2015 at 23:25

Well done Lekdog.

Hi community, nobody is talking about Armitage or Tom Bell. Does anyone have any thoughts on these 2 as PODs?

    OldOcker · 14/05/2015 at 23:40

Armitage slipping under the radar of many after averaging 107 in last third of last year and seems to be really stepping up at the moment in the shadows of the more popular J Steven. Armitage looking like a very valid selection but at 590.5k I think most are looking to proven guns at a reduced price (Which there are plenty of) If you already have him, Great selection but as far as getting him now I would be thinking more than twice.
Tom Bell, Always shows flashes of brilliance but does not play enough games and is very inconsistent.
Did you download the "Ultimate Stats Spreadsheet" I submitted for the community?

      Mighty_Hondo · 15/05/2015 at 11:57

Thanks OldOcker. I did doweload the ultimate stats sheet and thank you very much for it. I use every timw when looking at SC. I always highlight and save in yellow the 2014 year of each player I review which I find helpful when moaving acorss to the far right of the screen.

Looking at Tom Bell's stats from last year doesn't impress. But he appears more physically more capable now and seems to be getting plenty of possessions so his forward score is not reliant on goals.

So many options/decisions this year. I look forward to seeing how Rocky goes this week against a top side.

    The Ranger · 14/05/2015 at 23:44

Armpitage is becoming hard to ignore.

      HTK · 15/05/2015 at 01:33

      Very very hard to ignore

Ty · 14/05/2015 at 23:30

Hey community! I need to know your thoughts on these options! I think I will go with option 1… What are your thoughts please let me know!

Option 1:

Vandenberg – Kieren Jack
Sloane – Tom Mitchell

Will have to play McIntosh on field for one week (Waiting for Saad to come back). Then leaving Heeny on bench for a while because he will not drop in price so I can forget about him.

Option 2:

Double Downgrade:

Sloane – Mitchell

McIntosh – Mckenzie

Option 3:

Sloane – Mundy

McIntosh – McKenzie

    The Ranger · 14/05/2015 at 23:42

    Option 3.
Mitchell and Jack are both too risky for me.

      Jimi · 15/05/2015 at 00:04

      100% agree

        TyS · 15/05/2015 at 00:07

That will leave me with around 50k….. So I leave Heeny + McIntosh for now and get rid of Vandenberg so I can get Rocky next week?!

          Jimi · 15/05/2015 at 00:12

Whatever combination leaves you with cash to follow your plan. Have you thought of Cripps straight to Rocky?

    @t_woof · 15/05/2015 at 17:26

    G'day Ty!

Not a fan of Option 1. Agree with Lek in the podcast re K.Jack.

Not including Sloane, if you have only 4 other premium midfielders in your team then i'd side with Option 3. If you have 5, then perhaps the riskier path of Option 2 is worth a crack.

Wouldn't be replacing Sloane with Tom Mitchell unless i had 5 other premium midfielders in my team.

    SideBySidebottom · 15/05/2015 at 19:31

Not convinced with Mundy. 30years old and only averaged over 100 three times out of eleven seasons. Never higher than 107. That's premium but not elite.

The Ranger · 14/05/2015 at 23:38

Nicely done Lek.
Simple and to the point, just as it should be.
De-Lek-table even?
Hogan to MacKenzie for me and then swapping T.Mitchell in and out of my team another 37 times before hopefully holding the trade and double upgrading next week.
Much as I like him I just can't quite label him a definite keeper and I only want to be bringing in definite keepers from now on.

    SideBySidebottom · 15/05/2015 at 19:33

    Hold that trigger finger, partner.

Riley · 14/05/2015 at 23:49

Not sure whether to take Goddard even though just missed the boat a bit, Priddis in the midfield or McDonald in the backs relying on him to replicate around the same form as he has shown so far?
400K in the bank anyone's thoughts?

    Jimi · 15/05/2015 at 00:03

I tossed up between Goddard and Priddis this week. Didn't consider McDonald as my backline, whilst not setting the world on fire, is solid enough and so I'm upgrading there last.

I went with Goddard despite missing him at his lowest price in rd 5 because I figure he's still priced well enough and while his BE is still pretty low it's now or never. I think he'll be a top 8 fwd for sure and will probably outscore Priddis over the season. Priddis, despite being super cheap, is less likely to be a top 8-10 mid IMO. But really if money isn't a big issue then I don't think you can go wrong with either.

    Kev · 15/05/2015 at 11:25

Goddard is 12k cheaper than he was start of the year.

Jimi · 14/05/2015 at 23:59

Steven Johnson.. Welcome..

    SideBySidebottom · 15/05/2015 at 19:39

Tighten the seatbelt buddy it's going to be a hell of a ride on that scoring rollercoaster.

Souvalaki · 15/05/2015 at 01:07

Priddis or TMitch to bring in?

    KRUZEY · 15/05/2015 at 02:06

    Stevie J.

      Rick Grimes · 15/05/2015 at 03:54

      Super risky trade. Others preferred.

        Ben · 15/05/2015 at 14:52

how is it risky at that price?

thewhale60 · 15/05/2015 at 01:07

2 down this week left with $621,000 what do you think, trade vanda & hogan for macca & lever thoughts thx proj 2159 for next week the BANG BANG

    Sarah · 15/05/2015 at 11:23

Go 1 up, 1 down as Lever isn’t on the bubble yet.

    Kev · 15/05/2015 at 11:23

Too early on Lever mate. Hogan down, VBerg up

Nicholas · 15/05/2015 at 01:10

Gday community.
I have a few problems/donuts this week. Currently in my team i have hogan heeney, slaone, lewis, vandenburg, cey, mcintosh. I have 5 premo keepers in the forward already so probably want to uograde mid. Another problem is that i have 100k in the bank and already have dmac from st kilda in the defence. Thinking of going heeney to leever and sloane to jpk or priddis.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated

    Nicholas · 15/05/2015 at 01:14

Also have saad in the back from gold coast. Also those wondering my forward line is franklin, gray, swan, martin, goddard.

      Charlesy · 15/05/2015 at 12:14

Nicholas I have everyone of those blokes too!

    Kev · 15/05/2015 at 11:21

Both have to go, Nicholas. Always a risk getting a player after one game, though positive signs Lever has kept his spot with Hendo back in.

Prefer JPK over Priddis, but only just

    Previously On Lost · 15/05/2015 at 11:40

yeah sloane and heeny are good outs

I think it's reasonable to have a crack at lever. huge risk but there isn't another stand out rookie option. JPK and Priddis will most likely be top 10 mids, so can't go wrong there

wayne. paul · 15/05/2015 at 01:33

I think i have one of the strongest midfields. Fyfe. Pendles. Parker. Kennedy. Shiel. Lewis.. steve. J. This week n getting rocky next week. Then my midfielder is done

    Deadly · 15/05/2015 at 12:25

    No Gaz?

    SideBySidebottom · 15/05/2015 at 20:22

Not with Lewis, Shiel and Johnson you haven't.

James · 15/05/2015 at 03:43

What are everyones thoughts on getting out vandenberg for mckenzie in the mids, and upgrading goodes (if dropped) to a fallen premo defender like smith or hibberd?

    Kev · 15/05/2015 at 11:17

I'd probably go the other way, James. Goodes is not gonna reach the 350k type of stepping stone player we wanted, drop him for DMac and have a look to see who you can get for VBerg. His b.e is only 66, so you can hold a week with him if there are no options

      Previously On Lost · 15/05/2015 at 11:38

regardless you still get some cash to bring in mckenzie (who can be a mid or def) and fallen premo.

Generally upgrading the mids is the better option, however if you feel that you'll make more points from your D6 to the fallen premo, than you will M8 to a premo, then go for the defender.

    @t_woof · 15/05/2015 at 18:20

I couldn't go near Smith or Hibberd at the moment.

Smith doesn't look the same player since his concussion.

Hibberd, is simply labouring….I expected good output from him this season. Couldn't trade him in until i see some improvement in his scores.

I'd lean with Kev – downgrade Goodes and upgrade VandenBerg

Josh · 15/05/2015 at 10:49

Help People!… Watson or Goldstein VC? Reckon Goldy with destroy TBC but just never know how Watson will respond after WADA news…

please help

    Kev · 15/05/2015 at 11:14

Have a gander at the scouting report out later today.

    @KingWinter7 · 15/05/2015 at 11:16

I'm really considering Goldy, I'd go him

    jacob · 15/05/2015 at 12:20

I’m going Watson, reckon hell lead the dons to an important win.

    @t_woof · 15/05/2015 at 18:22

Goldstein VC was a thought i had as well Josh….until i saw his scores v Essendon.

    2012: 74 & 87
    2013: 124
    2014: 89 & 98 Elim Final.

      SideBySidebottom · 15/05/2015 at 20:45

Was he rucking against Bellchambers or Ryder then?

Simo · 15/05/2015 at 10:52

Thinking of splashing the cash and going Sloane to Armitage this week. Like the way he plays and desperately need an injection of points into my team with Lewis on the pine, just a bit worried I am chasing points and he might start getting some extra attention. Thoughts????

    Kev · 15/05/2015 at 11:13

Reckon your worries are bang on, Simo. 9th year in the system and has never shown this kind of form, durability is a worry too, never having completed a full season. In a purple patch at the moment. Look to the fallen proven premiums

Liam · 15/05/2015 at 11:19

Thoughts on my team please
DEF: Shaw Murphy Higgins Oxley Saad Goodes BENCH Mckenzie McIntosh
MID: Fyfe Pendles JPK Sloane Priddis Selwood VDB Cripps BENCH Lambert, Miller, CEY
RUC: Goldy Nic Nat BENCH Cox
FWD: Gray Swan Franklin Salem Tarrant Krak BENCH Clark, Hogan
20k in the bank

This week I am considering these trades
VDB to parker
Hogan to lever via multiple Dpps

    @t_woof · 15/05/2015 at 18:25

Your team looks quite good Liam.

I'd hold on the Hogan > Lever move. You have plenty of bench cover. Give Lever another week. Fine example; Joshua Glenn.

Previously On Lost · 15/05/2015 at 11:24

Love ya work Lek.

Stuck between 2 trade options:
Option 1:

This week: Out: Sloane & Hogan
In: T mitch & Lever
Next Week: Out Mcintosh & Vandernberg
IN: Rockliff and Brodie Smith

Option 2
This week: Out: Sloane & Hogan
In: JPK & Lever
Next Week: Out Mcintosh & Vandernberg
IN: Rockliff and Brodie Smith

Option 2 will obviously be better but for that to happen I need to hope that Smith and Rocky go down by about 60k combined and v'berg and McIntosh go up by about 5k combined. For this to happen, I need smith to score no more than 80 and rocky about a 95. Also need the rookies to reach their BEs and then some.

What should I do community. Balls out and hope that i get enough cash next week. Or play it safe because TMitch will be more value and i'll have cash in the bank to help with upgrades around the byes?

    John · 15/05/2015 at 11:47

Im thinking the same as option 2, as i already have jpk im going priddis this week and think that lever will hold his spot for a little while yet and make enough cash to justify bringing him in a round early, as i got mckenzie last week, and need the cash for 2 upgrades next week if all goes well.
next week will be rocky and most likely smith but depends on dpps, could take another if smith doesnt preform
risk worth taking imo but could backfire just like anything else in this game! aha
good luck which ever way you go!

    SideBySidebottom · 15/05/2015 at 20:50

Option two. Good luck with the numbers.

God · 15/05/2015 at 11:26

Tossing up whether to bring in either 2 of rockliff, selwood and priddis? whats the communities thoughts on these 3??

    Previously On Lost · 15/05/2015 at 11:35

Rocky next week is a lock.
Selwood and his hand looks a bit risky, if you don't have him, i'd wait to see if it will continue to hamper his scoring

Priddis looks the best of that lot for this week

      northernsoul74 · 15/05/2015 at 13:24

Priddis if intent on trading this week. Wait on the other two.

    Ben · 15/05/2015 at 14:53

    selwood this week, rockliff next

Wayno's cousin · 15/05/2015 at 11:34

Question what to do with Kade Simpson community?

It is so hard to make a judgement call when you just don't have all the information on his 'calf' injury.
I have 25 trades left (with Saad out and Goodes who might get the green)

1. Do you hold and use loophole and rely on Goodes?

2. Or go like for like trade? Birchall, Docherty

3. Drop to midpricer ie. Elliot Yeo which adds another swing set.

    Ben · 15/05/2015 at 14:54

If you have cover, i'd hold but completely up to you. Goodes may not play so wait for finalised team's tonight.

    @t_woof · 15/05/2015 at 18:26

    I'd hold Wayno's Cuz.

Goodes named on the bench, as is debutant Bailey Daniel. Goodes 'should' avoid the vest.

Glenn · 15/05/2015 at 11:50

What do the folks here think of:

Hogan > McKenzie (via Krakour)
VanDenBerg to Priddis/Beams

and next week

McIntosh > Lever (assuming on the bubble)
Touk Miller > Rocky

Seems alright? and who out of Priddis or Beams?

    randomcliche · 15/05/2015 at 13:05

    Looks good.

    @t_woof · 15/05/2015 at 18:27

    Looks very solid Glenn.

    For consistency Priddis.

Mozz · 15/05/2015 at 12:10

    Wayno's cousin · 15/05/2015 at 12:22

skin flute is in the toos?? Coach seems to like Cordy….

      northernsoul74 · 15/05/2015 at 13:23

If Tom Campbell hadn't have had surgery in the pre season he would also have likely been given a chance. Minson on the outer at the Doggies.

    Ben · 15/05/2015 at 14:55

why do you still have him?

    SideBySidebottom · 15/05/2015 at 20:58

I think he's always been in a world of his own.

Jayden · 15/05/2015 at 12:36

Can bring in robbie gray and tom mitchell, or do i hold on one of these 2 and bring in mckenzie?
gray and mitchell will leave me with 0 coin

    Jayden · 15/05/2015 at 12:38

sorry, those trades were based on trading hogan and rich.

will still have CEY and heeney on bench

    demon · 15/05/2015 at 12:50

I'd look at bringing in mckenzie as there aren't many other solid rookie options around, so best ot grab him while you can

      northernsoul74 · 15/05/2015 at 13:22

Yeah Mackenzie in and one of Gray or Mitchell.

        SideBySidebottom · 15/05/2015 at 21:04

    Ben · 15/05/2015 at 14:57

Robbie Gray's a must have and Mitchell's to cheap to ignore. Got Lever from adelaide playing his second game and Sharanberg from Coll who will debut soon so could afford to pass on dmac

Jurn's Sterns · 15/05/2015 at 12:37

Look at Brad Ebert's first 6 scores for 2014, and then his average for 2014 before you even consider bringing him in.

2015 first 6 rounds: 142, 100, 100, 80, 136, 99 = 109.5
2014 first 6 rounds: 104, 121, 87, 129, 110, 117 = 111.3
2014 season aver: 94.3

Jurn's Fools Gold. I'll try get it in weekly. Stick to proven premiums.

Mozz · 15/05/2015 at 12:52

I'm having extreme trouble with my team, it's going all over the place and I can't seem to get a decent score. Ranked 15th in my league, i realy need a win this week to get into the top 8. Problem players are in caps

DEF: Shaw, Smith, Oxley, SAAD, Newnes, McIntosh (Hamling, Goddard)
MID: Fyfe, SLOANE, Selwood, Griffin, Swallow, Judd, VdB, Cripps (E-Y, Miller, Krakouer)
RUC: Goldy, Ryder (MINSON)
FWD: Gray, Swan, Walker, Hogan, Tarrant, Clark
$245,100 in the bank, 24 trades left

I'm feeling that as i've already used 6 trades, that I should keep sloane and not waste another trade on him (i brought him in R4)
There is absolutely no mention of Minson. $418,000 is too much to have on the bench, what should I do with him
I'm thinking tradnig out VdB, put Saad into the middle and then put Mckenzie in the back to cover the 0

The other trade though idk what to do… i've got a problem in nearly every line and I can't deal with another loss this week :'(
someone please help

    Wattsieesq · 15/05/2015 at 13:07

I'd trade out Sloane and Hogan for DMac and a premo mid. Swing krak forward to do this. Then swing Saad into your mids and DMac down back.

    northernsoul74 · 15/05/2015 at 13:21

Jeez you're in a bit of a mess. How have you ended up with 3 expensive rucks with no dpp in your fwd line? Goldy, ryder and minson is way too much cash to have spent in your rucks. R3 should be cheap as never likely to play. Either Ryder plays as a forward and you get a new r2 for Minson (2 trades not ideal) or you leave Ryder as you r2, and downgrade Minson to someone cheap.
Getting McKenzie is a must for you this week as you have no def bench cover either. Either do as you suggested and trade VdB and use sadd and Mackenzie to swing or just straoight trade out Hamling or Godard so no sign they are getting games any time soon.

    randomcliche · 15/05/2015 at 13:23

Part 1. Perfect. Part 2 with a season focus is probably T Mitchell. Shoal I know but has been named in guts and will be there a few weeks at least. Chop Hogan. He could go Jeremy Cameron on the Hawks but won’t. Just hope krak and toorak pull through. This will leave you with more cash for double up next week. Rocky plus someone.

But you said this round was it. If you just want to max out this round then spend everything to upgrade on Pendlebury. As the difference between the score of krak and Pendles will be more than mitchell to hogan.

      Mozz · 15/05/2015 at 13:43

I do have a DPP in my fwd for rucks, i have Read, sorry i forgot to put fwd bench in my first post. So i can easily trade minson out for another ruck with only one trade.

Definitely going VdB to Mckenzie and then use the swing to cover Saad's 0. No problem there

I can't deal with minson on the bench though. Will I get a better score with a new R2 in Mumford or Maric OR an extra premo mid. I'm thinking Pendles, Priddis or Goddard (my opponent this week has goddard AND he has a low BE)

thanks so much for your help guys 🙂 really appreciate it

        SideBySidebottom · 15/05/2015 at 21:09

        Minson to Maric.

Chris · 15/05/2015 at 13:19

who to play on the field out of..

oxley, mcintosh, goodes ?

    Mozz · 15/05/2015 at 13:51

    oxley easily

      SideBySidebottom · 15/05/2015 at 21:10

      By a mile.

    @Seekersupacoach · 15/05/2015 at 14:33

    @t_woof · 15/05/2015 at 18:27

    Oxley by panels.

Mighty_Hondo · 15/05/2015 at 13:33

Performance so far and Pies playing Tiges, I reckon Oxley.

Rosy · 15/05/2015 at 13:51

Robbie Grey is an absolute steal right now. He's had 1 bad game, dropped $25k and is still averaging 117!!!! Break even of 65. Dual possie. Exceptional CPTN option. Last two games > 134 and 143. Do it now or miss out!

    @t_woof · 15/05/2015 at 18:28

    SideBySidebottom · 15/05/2015 at 21:11

Anthony · 15/05/2015 at 14:13

Who is the best option to bring in for Hogan?:

Devon Smith
Tom Mitchell
Boomer Harvey

    Ben · 15/05/2015 at 14:59

Mitchell's massively underpriced, but John Longmire must hate him for some reason. Hopefully with heeney out, he can cement a spot in the team. Devon Smith's a gun, if you can spend an extra 100k for him do so

    SideBySidebottom · 15/05/2015 at 21:12

    Smith's tempting.

northernsoul74 · 15/05/2015 at 16:45

Of those three Mitchell. I won't be bringing in any of them though.
