Is Hogan to Glenn via DPP and rich to JPK good trades?

    Gordo · 12/05/2015 at 20:58

    not sold on glenn

    OldOcker · 12/05/2015 at 20:59

Glenn not likely to play this week, Limped off ground after training.

      Ashley J · 12/05/2015 at 21:05

      I already have Mckenzie πŸ™
      What should I do instead??

        OldOcker · 12/05/2015 at 21:14

If you can go from Rich to JPK that is a good trade.

        Phil · 12/05/2015 at 21:48

Maybe bring in Lever (pending selection) and swing McKenzie to midfield bench

          mattforrest8 · 12/05/2015 at 22:01

yeah i agree with lever, looked good last week and should hold his position for a few weeks. but id swing saad to midfield and have both lever and mckenzie in defence, rather than have mckenzie on the bench and mcintosh being an unreliable d6

        paul warren · 13/05/2015 at 07:36

One people have not talked about yet is Patrick Karnezis been the sub if given a chance this kid can play only a forward tho.

    Wheels1987 · 13/05/2015 at 13:28

If Glenn has the green light then good trades

Luke · 12/05/2015 at 20:56

Sloane to JPK
Rich to Parker

Next Week
Vanberg to Selwood
Eliis to Pendles

    Gordo · 12/05/2015 at 20:58

    very good trades

    jacob · 12/05/2015 at 22:45

Good trades! Just be careful with the bye situation. Pendles, Parker, JPK all share same bye round. So do fyfe and Watson if you have them.

      TRIGGER HAPPY · 13/05/2015 at 09:40

Def is even worse in Rd 12. Most have Saad, Oxley, newnes, MacKenzie after this week throw in maybe ibbo and thumper and that is your whole back 6 missing Rd 12.

        Daniel · 15/05/2015 at 23:38

Saad and Oxley, as rookies, should be gone by round 12 I would think.

      Luke · 13/05/2015 at 17:17

      Only have Fyfe

    Danners16 · 13/05/2015 at 12:12

They are good trades, but it seems like you'll be up the creek in Round 12 with the byes. I suppose by doing those trades you will have about 5+ round 12 bye premos. Not sure which Ellis that is but if it is B.Ellis, I wouldn't trade him, if C.Ellis, sounds good

      Luke · 13/05/2015 at 17:17

      Yea C.Ellis i meant.

Thanks for the tip with the round 12 bye back to drawing board haha

    Wheels1987 · 13/05/2015 at 13:28

    whats your plans for Rockliff???

      Luke · 13/05/2015 at 17:16

Crips to Rockliff in 3 weeks

        Tophawk · 13/05/2015 at 19:28

Griffin to Rockliff in 3 weeks. Cripps to Sloane in 4-6 weeks.

          SideBySidebottom · 14/05/2015 at 11:57

Vandenberg to Rockliff in two weeks. If Rocky scores 110 over the next two weeks his price will drop by $20k next week and then return to $490k the next, This could be just about as cheap as you'll get him. This seems more likely than the price drops predicted on the basis of an average of 56.If I'm wrong, happy days.

Vandenberg to park

    lock her in

Gordo · 12/05/2015 at 20:57

macintosh, goodes or vandenberg out for mckenzie. Then hogan to mitchell or should i be going for a Goddard franklin type player current have gray, swan, martin in the fowards

    TheCompletePackage · 12/05/2015 at 23:30

I think leaving the 'n' off your name has made you indecisive.

Just_Genetics · 12/05/2015 at 20:58
this is my team as it stands i have 2 trades this week and 68k in bank what trades do you think i should do?
one thing im thinking is swap mckenzie into mids when i trade out heeney and im thinking lever from adelaide into backline then for second trade was thinking swapping krakour into fwd line when i trade hogan for glenn? what do you think? oh and that frees up 345k

    Wheels1987 · 13/05/2015 at 13:30

Heeney Out for any Bubble boy (Schade or Glenn) who has a green light.
    Upgrade Ellis-Yeoman for a Premo.

    LEKD0G · 13/05/2015 at 15:05

If Glenn is named that's solid otherwise I'd go…
Hogan OUT sub Krak up forward and then sub McKenzie up to mids and trade IN Lever.

Then I'd upgrade Vandenberg to a premo.

      just_genetics · 14/05/2015 at 19:03

what promo would you go I'm thinking goddard so later on in the season i can movie him forward finishing up my forward line or duncan ? although duncan i think will crowd my midfield as i have selwood and the bye rounds are approaching another player i was looking at is beams but i want rockliff in my team in a few weeks and having beams may leave me in the same situation as selwood and duncan

        Danny · 14/05/2015 at 19:19

As far as on field points go Selwood and Duncan won't steal many off each other different enough player with Duncan 2/3 an outside player and Selwood 2/3 inside player. Bye wise it could be tricky.

adam · 12/05/2015 at 20:59

hey guys after 2 weeks according to my trade plan I will have up to 900k in the bank and then id go to full premium pre byes or within the byes.

is this to much money in the bank or should I be fine

    Rocksta · 12/05/2015 at 22:06

Not sure where you sit overall Adam, but I think it's too much thereby costing you too many points along the way.
I try to have around 200K in the bank all the time up until about Rd 9, whilst upgrading my team progressively up to and through the byes, with the intent of being full premium post byes.
BTW, I'm sitting around 1500 th overall, but would have been in the top 150 had I not changed my Captain in Rd 2 from Fyfe to Beams to avoid a Cash League loss, as well as not looking at the subs pre-game where Goodes was the sub for the dogs that week. Those two things cost me approx. 220 points. Looking back, that taught me a very valuable lesson………………maintain your structures and strategies and the rest will follow ( and check the bloody final teams half an hour before each game).
Anyhow, that's my two bobs worth.

      adam · 12/05/2015 at 22:09

    Wheels1987 · 13/05/2015 at 13:31

it depends if you want league or Rank wins.
rank i would be spending now

League wins, spend wisely into the byes and you should be unbeatable

3. votes · 12/05/2015 at 21:00

Who should I get in my midfield? can afford anyone and not concearnced about price at all. Looking at Jpk, shiel and Mundy. any other options? would also like everyones personal opinion of who will be the top 10 for midfilders at the end of the year? currently have fyfe, griffen, selwood, danger and peddles! cheers

    adam · 12/05/2015 at 21:02

id bring in jpk proven scorer and will be top 10 mid by the end of the year.
also is one of the sydney mids and sydney will win alot of games this year

      3. votes · 12/05/2015 at 21:07

I am leaning towards Mundy but am I just being blinded by a good start to the year? he will be prone to getting rested as well!

        Trab Pukcip · 13/05/2015 at 06:54

Do you want more than one freo player in your mid field when Ross Lyon starts resting blokes and stuffing with our teams? Happens every year!

    Wheels1987 · 13/05/2015 at 13:32

    i would hold for now.
    think Rocky
    Steven Johnson…

    @KingWinter7 · 13/05/2015 at 16:56

10 Mids to have by the end of the year:

      SideBySidebottom · 14/05/2015 at 12:28

That would be horrible. Two guns on the bench. The chances of having the top eight scorers on field would be remote, It'd give more nightmares than juggling the rookies. Then again, the way the premiums are getting injured this year two may be injured at all times.

Pinidu.C · 12/05/2015 at 21:02

If I make these two trades this week, I'll have 21 trades left.

Is it worth it? And who's better out of Priddis and JPK?

if my mids are as follwed( Pendelbry, Fyfe, Selwood, parker, Steven, Swan(will swing when i trade tbc out) Cripps and Vandenburg with CEY, Krakour and lambert on my bench).
The one trade ive done so far is to trade out mcintosh for mckenzie

    trade out CEY

Jimi · 12/05/2015 at 21:13

Based on future scoring ability only, who to choose out of (DPPs would be playing fwd):

Goddard, Priddis, Danger, T Mitchell or Bont?

I'm leaning towards Goddard but I can be persuaded.

    Matt · 12/05/2015 at 21:16

Priddis has the highest potential, although would rather getting goddard in forward line

    cow roll · 12/05/2015 at 22:13

    Wheels1987 · 13/05/2015 at 13:34

    Scott · 13/05/2015 at 18:39

Danger is not a DPP, neither is Priddis. Wouldn't you be trying to get all three DPP in your forward line by seasons end? I am trying to get a fwd line with all DPPs as I think they have greatest capacity to score. On current form Goddard.

Good trades or not?

Any suggestions?

    Leon · 13/05/2015 at 09:18

Great trades but the question comes to mind is where rocky coming in? Perhaps send gray forward next week and cull a forward rookie for rocky. if so it's a goer.

    Wheels1987 · 13/05/2015 at 13:34

    jimmy · 13/05/2015 at 23:05

Bombersgobig · 12/05/2015 at 21:29

Am I the only one that thinks Kieron Jack is currently unbelievable value ? And also what should I do with my spuds I have van berlo heeney and hunt I have 400k

    Poloko48 · 12/05/2015 at 22:11

Was thinking that too but I don't think he's quite right atm – seems to be really slow, I went to the game Sat night and it was really noticeable. Wouldn't surprise to see him rested at some stage.

Cliffy · 12/05/2015 at 21:38

Great video Lekdog, as always every week!

Well my hand has been forced to get out Sloane after the injury news came in earlier yesterday, so after careful deliberation I think I’ll be going with these moves:

Hogan – McKenzie (Via DPP Swing with Gray, means that I’ll have DPP swing sets for both DEF/MID and MID/FWD areas)
Sloane – Premo POD (potentially Fallen ones in Priddis/Barlow, or maybe Ward)

Going the way of Priddis or Barlow will leave me with plenty of cash, as well as having the added flexibility to cover up all around the ground in case of future injuries/suspensions (from the 1st trade).

Will be left with 22 trades after these ones, boy they’re disappearing fast for me! Can’t be the only one though in this boat.

    Cliffy · 12/05/2015 at 21:39

    Thoughts community? Cheers

      Derek · 13/05/2015 at 00:13

Priddis joining my team this week as well.

    Leon · 13/05/2015 at 09:20

out of priddis and barlow you have to go priddis…. but perhaps hold a week if you can on Sloane. I love the idea of Sloane to rocky plus cash. Interesting time. I have 23 after this week and feeling a little thin.

      Cliffy · 13/05/2015 at 11:44

We're all feeling the heat with trades Leon

        Cliffy · 13/05/2015 at 11:45

But cheers mate, sounds like a good plan too, Rocky is falling fast in price and will be a great bargain soon.

Supercoach General · 12/05/2015 at 21:39

Out of Mundy, Hannerbery, Dangerfield and Selwood who would be the best to trade in?

    Matt · 12/05/2015 at 21:47

selwood if you want long termn

    Derek · 13/05/2015 at 00:14

Selwood by a big margin. He is one of the few ultra premiums

    Danners16 · 13/05/2015 at 12:08

Wait a week or two and get Selwood

Nash · 12/05/2015 at 21:42

What's the better option 1 or 2

Hold Sloan for another week and downgrade to Rockliff when is price is almost bottomed out or has
Trade hogan to Tom Mitchell
And trade KMac to Makenzie
This would leave me with 217,000 plus the 40,000 dollars from Sloan to Rockliff
Than possibly the week later upgrade Vandenberg or downgrade oxaly who's breakevens will be around 70 to maybe lever.

Trade Sloan to priddis
And KMac to Makenzie
This leaves me with 274,000 and I will have to trade Vandenberg next week to Rockliff so will have to spend 80,000 – 100,000 there and that will leave me 190
Plus I miss the boat on Tom Mitchell and hold hogan for an extra week

Really stuck. Thoughts

    throttlefinger · 12/05/2015 at 21:58

Hey Nash. Not the biggest Titch fan but like option 1 better with one change: Go Vandy to MacKenzie. Get a DPP in your mids and next week go Kmac to Lever. You can upgrade Oxley (although I'd keep Oxley. Looks like a great bench cover).

Think the Sloane to Rockliff move is a nice way of making good out of a bad situation.

    Rocksta · 12/05/2015 at 22:11

    Hi Nash.
I'm holding on Sloane until next week, when then yes I'll turn him into Rocky. That should gain another $35K or so. I've gone Hogan to Titch, and 'Vandenberg' to DMaK. Not sure why everybody is going Kmac to DMak. Kmac's break even is 33, whilst Vandenberg's is 66.
Also, you generate more cash with the Vandenberg trade, and can always go Kmac to Lever next week.

    yurkins · 12/05/2015 at 22:31

sloan to rocky nxt week too

    Danners16 · 13/05/2015 at 12:08

    First option

    Chicken Dinner · 13/05/2015 at 14:07

Option 1. and what throttle said, Vandy this week has a much higher BE than Kmac. Also gives you Saad cover (if you have him) (You should) Then the following is Lever or an upgrade with the cash made from Sloan – Rocky.

tom · 12/05/2015 at 21:42

Hogan to Goddard

Heeney to D-Mac

    you're lost

    wayno1313 · 13/05/2015 at 01:14

I like it. I think you probably should consider Mitchell instead of Goddard and maybe look to pick up Goddard later in the year.

      Leon · 13/05/2015 at 09:29

Why get a 50/50 in Mitchell when you can lock in BJ at the cheapest price he will be for now on. Great trades if those are your biggest problems. Wish I only had those problems!

        Locked and Loaded · 13/05/2015 at 12:37

Goddard 100% over Mitchell not even worth a convo

        Glorin · 13/05/2015 at 18:26

Stache-sational vid again, Lek.

Love the hot tip. I was one of those (dumb) people who sideways Beams to Sloane. Ugh. Was going to keep yet that would make my bench Sloane, CEY and Lewis. Nope. Was leaning towards bringing Parker but Danger is an inspired choice. Count me in, my friend!

Just wondering community, How many premiums do you have and how many trades left ?

    throttlefinger · 12/05/2015 at 21:54

Hey Carl. Def (3), Mids (6), Ruc (2), Fwd (3). After this round, 21 trades left. Not good. Gonna try to slow down for 9-10, then go heavy 12-13. That's my trade plan as its stands today.

    Riley · 12/05/2015 at 22:15

Similar boat to throttle, Def (3), Mids (5), Rucks (2), Fwd (4)

      Riley · 12/05/2015 at 22:15

      21 Trades Left

    Rocksta · 12/05/2015 at 22:16

Hi Carl. I have 16, with 21 trades left. That said, one of them is Sloane ( not you Throttle), and I'm also counting Newnes and Griffen ( whom are borderline). I do still however have $200K in the bank, and intend to turn Sloane into Rocky next week, as well as perhap's Cripps into Pendles. That will leave me with 17, and only 19 trades left. Not great, but injuries are a friggen killer.

      Derek · 13/05/2015 at 00:28

If your counting Newnes as a premium then get to count Cloke as one πŸ˜‰

Instead of counting premiums, call them Keepers.

I have 13 Final Team Keepers.

I haven’t counting Newnes, Sam Mitchell, Cloke or Ibbotson as keepers, they were my mid-price stepping stones.

1 have 26 trades left. (Gaz has been my only injury or suspension problem)

      throttlefinger · 13/05/2015 at 03:58

Hahaha! Rory's got an "e" on the end, Rocksta.

And yes, injuries and MRP have been a killer as well.

      SC Virgin · 13/05/2015 at 09:47

Long bow to draw newnes and Griffen – wouldn’t consider them anywhere near premonition based on what we have seen so far.

        Rocksta · 13/05/2015 at 10:13

But sideways those 2 and considering all the injuries and you’ll never get to full premium.
I’ll keep them until SC finals then upgrade if and as required, with the 10 odd trades I’ll have left ( due to me not sideways trading).
My Guess is Griffen will average around 100 by then, which I’ll keep as an M8. I reckon I will however have to upgrade Newnes

          derek · 13/05/2015 at 10:35

I have griffin and counting him as a keeper. I put him in my starting team structure as a keeper (he just got ahead of Wines). he might not end up being a keeper, but for now in my structure he is.

I might end up keeping Sam Mitchell and ibbotson (but I doubt it)

    dognino · 12/05/2015 at 22:28

After 2 trades this week will have 4-5-2-5, but down to 20 trades left

    wayno1313 · 13/05/2015 at 01:11

    2-6-1-4 with 24 trades left

      Liam · 13/05/2015 at 08:15

Hey carl, I have 21 trades left
      Def 3
      Mid 7
      Ruc 2
      Fwd 3
I have used a lot of trades but also have lots of premos.

    Danners16 · 13/05/2015 at 12:06

I going to say keepers, Def (5), Mid (6), Ruck (2), Fwd (5) which means 18 keepers after this week with 19 trades. I going different this season by burning trades to get a premo team as quick as possible before the byes

      Matt · 13/05/2015 at 14:08

      ive got
      backs 3
      Mids 6
      rucks 1
      forwards 5
with 22 trades remaining, looking to get backline premo next week, then rocky and jacobs which would make it 18 with about17-19 trades burnt

    Jimi · 13/05/2015 at 13:23

Def (2), mid (6), ruck (2), fwd (3). 22 trades but will have to burn a few again this rd.

    LEKD0G · 13/05/2015 at 15:13

    Def 3, Mid 6 + Judd, Ruck 2, Fwd 3

21 Trades left and having fun

    Ben Bretel · 13/05/2015 at 15:56

    def 3 mid 7 R 1 for 4

    Chicken Dinner · 14/05/2015 at 13:54

3, 8 (Forwards to be moved down in mid atm – Goddard/Grey),2, 3. Leaving me 16 Keepers – Including Titch as a F6. Cloak is no where near a premo / keeper. Not sold on Nic Nat either, so might be 15, see how he goes, round 13 bye saving him at the moment.

Sitting top 200 overall, with 20 trades this week. Kmack to rocky next week then holding trades until the byes, (At least i hope to)

Sitting on a 7,10,13 Split for people out for the byes as well, so reasonably happy.

Danny · 12/05/2015 at 21:57

I think I want to take a punt on Mitch Duncan, back playing his best role, improved from averaging 80 in 2013 to 100 in 2014, I think he will improve again to 110+. Call me crazy.

    Leon · 13/05/2015 at 09:45

Will he be a top 10 midfielder? If so go for it. Worried that he might run out of gas but been a beauty so far.

    Cozza · 13/05/2015 at 12:18

I was thinking the same – loving Duncan's last couple of games, which came after Scotty admitted they were playing him in the wrong position at the start of the year.

sp0565 · 12/05/2015 at 21:57

Was leaning towards Gray as he will score very consistently but lekdog is right, without Sloane danger could pump out a massive score.
also been watching priddis very closely and dont want to miss out on him getting a big score this week.
Gray V brisbane= massive score
Priddis V GCS= possible massive score?
who should i get?

    Danny · 12/05/2015 at 22:08

Gray will average more over the journey.

    Tom · 12/05/2015 at 22:17

    IMO Gray, Fwd 1 Lock

    SideBySidebottom · 14/05/2015 at 13:09

    Priddis over Danger.

Poloko48 · 12/05/2015 at 22:07

Great vid Lekdog, keep up the good work!

My trades this week, which I'm sure will be replicated by thousands, will be as follows:

OUT Heeney IN DMac
OUT Sloane IN Priddis

Now have a nice swing set with DMac & Saad – very helpful this week with Saad out.

Team this week:

DEF: Enright, Oxley, Lumumba (MID), Newnes (MID), KMac, DMac (MID) (Goodes, Goddard (FWD))
MID: Fyfe, Pendles, JPK, Priddis, Parker, SMitch, Vandenburg, Krak (FWD) (Saad (DEF), CEY, Anderson)
RUC: Goldy, Maric (Read (FWD))
FWD: Swan (MID), Gray (MID), Bont (MID), Bennell (MID), Hogan, Tarrant (Clark, Lamb)

Still have $190K in the kitty, but only 20 trades left.
Trying not to use trades atm but it's bloody hard with all these injuries!!

One question – what defenders should we be targeting as keepers?
Finding it very difficult to trust any of them this year!

    Derek · 13/05/2015 at 00:34

Defenders – stick with the boys who have done it before.
Shaw, Smith, Simpson, Enright, Malceski, and my younger smoky McGovern

      Glorin · 13/05/2015 at 18:46

I'd say out of the Shaw is only certainty. Smith has been off since concussion, should come back especiallY With sloane out.Malceski Simpson injured and have teeth as long as Enright who while having a good recent run is now overpriced and may run out of legs in his last year. McGovern has less than 20 games so as you say a smoky.
TMac has to be considered. Read dex's quality article.
With frawley/ lake back, Gibson is another that should be considered.

    SideBySidebottom · 14/05/2015 at 13:11

Upgrade defenders last. It should be a bit clearer then.

3. votes · 12/05/2015 at 22:09

Who should I get in my Midfield, Beams, Jpk, Shiel, Mundy, or Barlow?

    Danny · 12/05/2015 at 22:17

    Derek · 13/05/2015 at 00:37

KPK by s fair margin. The guy is a contested ball beast! Will get 100 points from his 25 touches every week. When he sneaks a couple of goals like last week he gets 130.

    Danners16 · 13/05/2015 at 12:03

JPK if you don't have too many round 12 bye premiums (4+ would be too many)

3. votes · 12/05/2015 at 22:10

Who should I get in my Midfield, Beams, Jpk, Shiel, Mundy, or Priddas

    Jeremy Menz · 12/05/2015 at 22:18

JPK. If you want a POD, look at Callan Ward closely.

      Rocksta · 12/05/2015 at 22:34

I'm a great fan of Ward, but that Giants midfield is getting pretty bloody crowded. He's still averaging well, but its inevitable that Shiel, Griffen, Trealor , Smith, Whitfield and co will hinder him getting to the super elite level as an SC scorer(120+).
Put some money on them making top 4 next year, and winning a flag within 3 years I reckon.

@Popey_99 · 12/05/2015 at 22:31

Lekdog on Gray: "He's just very good a football". Cracked me up haha, great vid mate.

Thoughts community on my situation? Have already used 9 trades going into this round with one upgrade already done. Want McKenzie, and if I grab him I will have 300k banked. Should I be looking to bring in the 'very good at football' man himself Gray for my midfield this week, or hold out for Selwood/Rocky in next few weeks? Leaning towards Rocky next week.

Also, what are our thoughts on how many trades we need in bank coming OUT of byes. I'm thinking 9 is sufficient at this stage.

Cheers folks.

    Derek · 13/05/2015 at 00:39

Gray should be only on your forward line.

      @Popey_99 · 13/05/2015 at 19:14

I will be swinging him forward eventually, just feel I need him in.

    Wheels1987 · 13/05/2015 at 14:11

    go BANG BANG

    LEKD0G · 13/05/2015 at 15:14

Haha bloody loved it mate any time.

mcleal10 · 12/05/2015 at 22:34

I've stuck with my plan in having 3 rookies on field in defence and so far this season it's worked. I made my way in the top 5000 but am falling into trouble now. I haven't got Gray and feel pressured to get him. However, getting in Gray would leave me a doughnut in defence since I have no one to cover Saad..

Option 1: Sloane to T.Mitchell and Hogan to Gray.
Option 2: Some nobody in defence (Hamling) to McKenzie and Sloane to Gray or Mitchell?

What do I do community.

    Rocksta · 12/05/2015 at 22:41

Hogan to Titch, and Sloane to McKenzie. This will leave you with a heap of cash to help get Gray next week, and you can swap Saad and McKenzie to cover your Donut for this week ( both Def/mids).

      mcleal10 · 12/05/2015 at 22:47

Smart thinking, I'll must likely go with that. With Gray's breakeven of 65, do you think he'll go up a lot in price? Is it worth taking a doughnut or miss out on 10-20 grand?

        Rocksta · 12/05/2015 at 23:00

It's a tough one mate. Score wise there probably wont be much difference, as Gray may score around 60 more than Hogan, and DMaK probably wont score much more than 60 odd. However, DMak should appreciate significantly provided he's named and isn't the sub, and definitely more than the amount that Gray goes up. You will also be able to cash in on a cheap rookie on the bubble , thereby significantly increasing the coffers. Don't think any mids are on the bubble next week.
Thus, all things considered, unless you were planning on putting the C on Gray, id go Sloane to DMak.
Perhaps wait until the St.kilda side is finalised an hour before the game on Saturday to make your final decision. You will still be able to go either way at that point.

          mcleal10 · 12/05/2015 at 23:02

You sold me. Thanks heaps man! Appreciate it.

Captain Pugwash · 12/05/2015 at 22:56

Dont be surprised if Biggs pops up this week in Dogs team. Point being, keep forecasting ahead.

Biggs is a Mid but will play a half back rebounder.

nick · 12/05/2015 at 23:04

ok I have done McIntosh to mckinze and then used the cash to bring in steve j for heeney think stevie j is getting warmed up for some massive scores and games what u guys think and going bring rocky in 2 weeks for cripps when he drops more money

    Rocksta · 12/05/2015 at 23:15

Rocky to Cripps could almost be a straight swap in 2 weeks ( maybe even next week). That's a great trade, and one I'm looking at myself.
I brought Stevie J in last year mid season, and he killed me. I reckon he's past his best and as such wont play well every week. When he has a hot spell, the opposition usually put a tag on him.
That said, its only my opinion

      Rocksta · 12/05/2015 at 23:16

      Cripps to Rocky that is

      Derek · 13/05/2015 at 00:47

Same Rock. I still have nightmares about StevieJ stinking up my team last year

      nick · 13/05/2015 at 12:27

you are right there with the heeney trade as I I had 445 k left but there really are no mids that have dropped that much and I think there are really not many teams that have that good tagger anymore other then freo but I find someone to bring in

      TRIGGER HAPPY · 13/05/2015 at 13:50

Why trade out Cripps? he is going at 100. Take that any day from a rook and one of only of a couple getting the pill 4 the blues. Based on my calcs if rocky goes 120 this week he will be around $440k. $80k Vanders to rocky. Tasty and kept Cripps.

        Glorin · 13/05/2015 at 18:53

Agree. I have him down as last upgrade around R17 if he drops off. Will take 100 ave till then.
Vander has a few weeks left in him. Hawks let insiders get the ball and cut off the outlets, so he should get be this week easy.

I N Pieman · 12/05/2015 at 23:16

Nice one Lek. Have been playing You’ll never walk Asloane at the pieman residence last few days. What to do with him. He went from stud to spud in no time. A swap to rocky this week or next is the only saving face from this disaster. His shitness & your Docherty trade gave you the nail biting league win last week. Well played mate

    LEKD0G · 13/05/2015 at 15:16

Was a good match my friend, Sloanes drop in output is why he's not an ultra-premo yet.

      Glorin · 13/05/2015 at 19:03

can't injury be partially to blame for drop? Went into port game under a cloud, corky that game, broken cheek the next. He will be top 8 by ave end of season.

wayno1313 · 12/05/2015 at 23:26

I'm seriously considering holding him for at least 4 weeks. It's hard to train him this week and even next week it looks like there will be rookies that will need to be upgraded. CEY is also coming back soon who will provide additional cover. I think the rest will do him good so he can fix his calf issue he was having.

    Leon · 13/05/2015 at 10:20

if you team can cover him this could be a shark move. Imagine he comes back after the rd 11 bye and kills it as he is over his calf….. would save two more trades…. will be in my thoughts for the next week

Stevie · 12/05/2015 at 23:43

I'm looking at going Sloan down to either Barlow or Parker, have a plan for rocky next week.
Haven't seen much of freo this year so don't know what barlows roll is now or if I trust Ross for that matter, thoughts community?

    throttlefinger · 13/05/2015 at 04:12

Struggling between going from Sloane to either Parker or Lek's suggest Dangerfield. Going to do Vandy for Rocky next week.

I like Barlow. He just seems to be one of those players that can't really be relied upon, from both a health and performance standpoint. But at his price hard to ignore. Also tends to do his best work from R9 on. But with both Mundy and Neale improving form, Barlow may not be worth the price. Can see him going 130+ 1 or 2 times. But with the emergence of the other two, Parker may be the safer call.

    Wheels1987 · 13/05/2015 at 14:10

Freo are impossible to plan for
You need big ball and as long as you can justify your selections and they are in your team structures then do it

      @t_woof · 13/05/2015 at 17:27

I brought in Barlow last weekend. Don't mind the selection at all. I paid 489K for him last weekend. Even cheaper now.

      Rounds 7 > 21, AVE 118.5 (never scored below 104)
      Rounds 7 > 21, AVE 111.6

Teams he plays for the remainder of the season, in 2013-2015 he averages 112.7 v them.

      Does drop off in Rounds 22 & 23, with scores of 88, 94 & 66 in 2013 & 2014.

I have already used one trade Ablett > Sloane, so am reluctant to use another. Like Throtts i have Lewis on the pine for another week. Really wanted to grit the teeth and hold onto Sloane, but now with Adam Saad out i'll have a donut down back (Hodge,H.Goddard on pine).
Contemplating Sloane>Burgoyne, for the DPP swing. Sit Saad on Mid Bench. With a plethora of injuries this year, connecting the swing sets earlier than usual could be vital.

        Stevie · 13/05/2015 at 23:00

Not big on Burgoyne myself but I'm looking at getting Brodie smith in soon, could I go Sloan > smith via swing now or is that compromising my mid structure and point scoring ability too much? I know smith hasn't hit the floor yet but he should be on the up after this week. Also puts 100k in the bank instead of 30k going to Barlow or Parker.

          @t_woof · 14/05/2015 at 16:25

I'd prefer Barlow or Parker than Brodie Smith.

nick · 12/05/2015 at 23:48

my team as it sits

Def Taylor Murphy Oxley Lumumbia newnes Mckinzie bench Kelly saad

Mids ebert fyfe Hanbbery swan selwood stevie j cripps cockatoo bench j lewis glenn and nelson

rucks mummy maric

Fwds bomp hawk clark dahlhaus j Hogan H bennell bench krak membrey

watch this week hawk and clark will go off against the weak swans back line and kick bags of goals and in a few weeks going trade Hogan out for gray or franklin what u guys think

    Rocksta · 12/05/2015 at 23:55

If you going to trade Hogan out for Gray, you should do it this week.
Hogan has a BE of 77 and Gray has a BE of 65.
Thus, this trade will most likely cost you more in two weeks, and almost certainly next week

      nick · 13/05/2015 at 15:23

I would do that I love to bring gray in know but have problems in rookies not performing in my def then have heeney gone so heeney I might bring stevie j in I know he had a shocker last year but the year before he killed it and I think he is going start kicking some arse and e back to some massive scores

Tyler · 13/05/2015 at 07:33

Hey community just wondering when talking about strategy and trading sometimes people ask ‘Are you going for overall ranking or league wins?’ Whats the difference? Aren’t you just trying to get the most points either way?

    derek · 13/05/2015 at 10:21

big difference, especially over the bye rounds. previous years I have aimed to have one week of the byes as a sacrifice round (I think I score 1150 last year in one round) lost all my leagues, but won all games in the other two weeks of byes. Overall rank suffered.

    Wheels1987 · 13/05/2015 at 14:09

    big difference
rank means you MUSt get a big score every single week.

League wins means you can drop a game here or there or if your playing the "spud" of your league one week you can afford to do a double downgrade etc..

League win = week to week and more flexibility, Rank is alot harder to get into the top 5%

      Tyler · 14/05/2015 at 07:26

Alright so if I’m top 5% now, should I be going for overall ranking?

Hit by the carnage this week like most people (Sloane, Heeney, Saad, CEY)
Can cover with the bench, what's everyone's thought's on the below?

J. Hogan > D. McKenzie
R. Sloane > R. Gray
Have then banked $143k for next week to do something with Heeney

Any suggestions/comments greatly appreciated!

    derek · 13/05/2015 at 10:20

Gray should only be on your forward line. if you are putting him in as a midfielder to replace Sloane I wouldn't do that, there are a few others you should be getting in.

      Thebighix · 13/05/2015 at 10:22

I 100% agree, have swapped him down the forward line, leaves me with Swan, Martin, Gray & Roughead, not sure if that's getting a bit too top heavy this early on?

        @KingWinter7 · 13/05/2015 at 18:30

Nah it sounds good. Most people have Gray, Dusty & Swanny with either the Bont or Goddard as the 4th. Your not alone on a heavy forward line

tom · 13/05/2015 at 08:14

should we be building our warchest or upgrading to premos now?

    derek · 13/05/2015 at 10:17

Round 11, 3 downgrades to build warchest for buying frenzy during rounds 12 & 13.

Jack hourihan · 13/05/2015 at 08:46

    Rick Grimes · 13/05/2015 at 11:29

Post your team. Never too late to turn it around.

Liam · 13/05/2015 at 09:24

Thoughts on these trades please

Rich down to mckenzie
Heeney up to parker

    Rick Grimes · 13/05/2015 at 11:35

Like it. Rich has done his job and Parker is on the up (I hope!). Maintains your Swans midfield exposure. You probably have Saad (who doesn't), so there is a nice swing option this week if things look dicey at the back with Saad sidelined.

DWhit · 13/05/2015 at 09:32

For those unfortunate enough to have deledio from the start.. What on earth do we do with him? Projected to lose around 50k with a BE of 205.. Is he a keeper? Not keen to lose that amount of cash. Thinking of trading him to Titch. (already have gray, Sean, bont etc)

    DWhit · 13/05/2015 at 09:38

    derek · 13/05/2015 at 10:15

he is on my watchlist to get in to my team in a few weeks. He has to be playing well and running without any problems.

    Rocksta · 13/05/2015 at 10:19

He’s a keeper, thus doesn’t matter if he loses or makes cash.
Once his Match Fitness is back up in a couple of weeks he will be back to beast mode.
I’ll look at bringing him in around 2-3 weeks time when his price bottoms out. You don’t need to, as you already have him

      DWhit · 13/05/2015 at 10:43

Cheers lads. And have we gotten the most out of Rich?

        Rick Grimes · 13/05/2015 at 11:43

If you still have Lids I'd hold him. Back playing and if he stays fit will be a keeper. Rich is done, paint the fence. He's got a BE of 99, so chances are he'll start to lose value. Rocky will be super cheap in another week, so perhaps a downgrade to McKenzie and then look to pick up Rocky in a week or two.

    northernsoul74 · 13/05/2015 at 12:43

You've held Lids this long so you've done the hard part. Keep him now.

      DWhit · 13/05/2015 at 13:18

Yeah that’s what I figured. Just gonna have to swallow the price drop.

As it stands my possible trades are
      McKenzie > Heeney
      Rich > rockliff next week

      derek · 13/05/2015 at 14:02

if you sell him now, you lock in the loss. hold. he will come good.

    Wheels1987 · 13/05/2015 at 14:06

if you have held him this long, you may as well hold out
    gunna loose $
but some people still have Lamb and Lambert in their teams
Lids will get his value back

      Rocksta · 14/05/2015 at 00:59

      I don’t understand this conversation!

If Lids is a ‘keeper’, which he is, you can’t lose dollars because you are going to ‘keep’ him!

jacob · 13/05/2015 at 10:15

Just something for those looking to bring in Mitchell to keep in mind. Both his thus far have come from extremely contested games in the wet against the bullies and against I high stoppage team in Melbourne. I’m wandering whether he’ll still spend so much time in the guts when the games are less contested.

Longmire said this week: ‘We go in with the right balance we think’s going to win on a particular week. He got a go at it last week and was pretty good.’

I think he’s saying that Tommy was only playing or getting so much midfield time because of the types of gabes Sydney has played in the last two weeks. I reckon when Sydney play less congested games Tommy will play a similar role to the start of last year. More time up toward and less around the contest

    Rick Grimes · 13/05/2015 at 11:45

Yep, there are a few question marks around the kid. I've gone Goddard instead for that reason. With Parker and JPK already in my side, just didn't fancy further Swans exposure. But fair play to those that pick him up, he could be a great buy.

      derek · 13/05/2015 at 12:53

for same price, I would look at Ziebell.

Leon · 13/05/2015 at 10:25

Just throwing this out there but is there a chance that with a couple of under fit backman coming back this week for the hawks Hogan could have ONE more big score before he is slaughtered? or am I just grasping at air….

    demon · 13/05/2015 at 10:53

With Hogan it's probably got more to do with the service coming from melbourne's mids. If the ball can't get down there he won't score

    Rick Grimes · 13/05/2015 at 11:51

His BE is 77. I reckon that would represent a big game for him. So in all likelihood he'll at best hold his value for a week. So if it's a case of which popular rookie has to go first, he'd be the one. Vandenberg has BE of 66 and should hit that ok. Heeney not going to lose you money, so if you have cover he can wait for another day.

Harry · 13/05/2015 at 10:48

is it a stupid idea to try and keep Sloane on my bench till he gets back?

    Danners16 · 13/05/2015 at 11:27

Probably, but I will have Hodge on my bench for the 3 weeks

    Rick Grimes · 13/05/2015 at 11:52

If he's out 6 weeks I think it's too long. Even if he comes back early, you'd have to think his output will be down for a week or two anyway. I think he has to go.

    JMG · 13/05/2015 at 11:55

I’m thinking about keeping him, lost too much cash for my liking and could become a POD later in year. Reckon he can still be a gun when he returns.

    Wheels1987 · 13/05/2015 at 14:04

      Paul Walnuts · 13/05/2015 at 14:22

i'm keeping for at least a week and if Rocky is an option i might go that way, I'm not concerned about his fitness, he hurt his cheek not his legs

        Wheels1987 · 13/05/2015 at 14:28

hey man, if you have a plan and it fits your team structures then you dont need to ask if its a stupid idea.

instead trust your convictions and tell the community what your doing and why. Seems like a good plan mate

    TRIGGER HAPPY · 13/05/2015 at 17:17

He will come back Rd 12 after the crows bye in Rd 11

baggy pants · 13/05/2015 at 11:09

Thought for the community on too many Freo players in your team. Ross the boss is already icing games when the they are well ahead, if they keep winning games and build a buffer on the other teams in the comp will he start managing players earlier than normal

just a thought

    derek · 13/05/2015 at 12:52

Freo have banked games and are looking good to "manage' some players. Stay away from them.

Ryan · 13/05/2015 at 11:28

Need to trade out rich!

should i trade to a season keeper who is already performing solid

or trade in a fallem premium

    AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 13/05/2015 at 11:33

    Go with Gray

    Rick Grimes · 13/05/2015 at 11:57

Gray is a must have and has a low BE. Danger could be an interesting punt. Sheil and Mundy are killing it but can you safely say they'll be top 10 come end of season? Priddis has spiked my arousal curve, slow start but building nicely.

    Danners16 · 13/05/2015 at 12:02

    Gray/Dangerfield, pick one

      Derma147 · 13/05/2015 at 18:48

    Ryan · 13/05/2015 at 12:40

thanks heaps everyone love the suggestions and do agree i think gray is a must have! cant keep missing out on the 140's he pumps out

      derek · 13/05/2015 at 13:56

Gray has to only go on your forward line. If you are trading him in as a mid, there are better options.

    Wheels1987 · 13/05/2015 at 14:04

    fallen premo
this game is all about value

      Ryan · 13/05/2015 at 18:16

yeah they look so tempting hmmm. but come end of the season and there not a top 10 midfielder wouldnt that be a downfall?

JMG · 13/05/2015 at 11:51

Is anyone keeping Sloane? If its a similar injury to Marc Murphys in 2013, I had Murphy then in SC and reckon he only missed 2 weeks!

    AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 13/05/2015 at 12:08

I was hoping I could but I cant! Have to trade him out! If I knew for sure he was only missing 2 weeks I keep him but they are saying he will be lucky if he's back in 4?? and by that time it will be his bye?

    Wheels1987 · 13/05/2015 at 14:03

the only reason im not keeping is his last 3 weeks and high BE
bring him back in after the byes for cheap, especially if his return game produces another game of less than 100 SC points

Pete444 · 13/05/2015 at 12:05

Trading out
D rich and J Hogan to
S Johnson and T Mitchell

    JMG · 13/05/2015 at 12:06

I wouldn’t get both, too iffy. Steviej a bit inconsistent this year

    AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 13/05/2015 at 12:10

No…but I would stay away from Stevie J….that's just me. I'm torn if I should take Tmitch

    Danners16 · 13/05/2015 at 12:15

If you feel like a POD, Stevie J would be your man

      Pete444 · 13/05/2015 at 12:34

I am sitting 4500 overall but feel like a big move or best just to stick with the crowd

        TheCompletePackage · 13/05/2015 at 21:24

Stick with the crowd = finish with the crowd.
"Don't think, don't hope, do! Do something! Come off the ground and say 'I did this, I shepherded, I played on. At least I did something.'" – John Kennedy Snr.
Or…you can be happy with 4500th.
        I hope this helps.

        Juzzy · 13/05/2015 at 23:21

        Love it Mate.
Could be the move that wins you 50k… obviously could be the move that screws everything but you have to roll the dice.

    Wheels1987 · 13/05/2015 at 14:02

    awesome trades
    you have big ball

danny · 13/05/2015 at 12:40

ok sooooooooooo themisfitssc ranked 1172 have gone crazy this week k simpson to lever and heeney to priddis….. wow wee as the great man BT would say…. doing this post as a guest as wouldn't let themisfitssc log on as twitter as it prob knew what a crazy call im making this week

    derek · 13/05/2015 at 12:49

is Simpson going to miss more games? I was looking at him as a keeper!

      danny · 13/05/2015 at 12:53

not to sure if missing more but lingering injury, low scores where he is butchering the ball in a team in all sorts im dropping 1 premo in defence leaves me still with 3. as his BE is 122 with a possible risky calf

Locked and Loaded · 13/05/2015 at 12:54

Trading Sloane to DMac AND Hogan to Goddard. Leaves me with only 4 premo mids but 5 forward mids with the hope to trade in 2 mid premos over the next two weeks. is 4 too lean in the mids or for one week it will do?

    Locked and Loaded · 13/05/2015 at 14:10

    5 forward premos sorry

derek · 13/05/2015 at 13:26

Gaz should be back in 2 – 4 weeks

AG · 13/05/2015 at 13:28

Is it too risky getting Parker AND Titch this week. I already have JPK

    derek · 13/05/2015 at 14:01

swans have Geelong then Hawks in the next two weeks.

    Wheels1987 · 13/05/2015 at 14:30

    Big Ball get the Girl

derek · 13/05/2015 at 13:54

Hogan >>>Mckenzie (via Goddard swing)
Vandenberg >>> Priddis

Priddis was in my pre-season team at $610k. He had to make way so I could strengthen my defence. had a slow start but looking great now, and he is $65k cheaper!!

WCE have Suns and Saints next two games, then are home against cats. WCE have a round 13 bye that suites my bye structure really well.

Only down side I can see is they have Fremantle & Hawks in the last two rounds of the year.

    Wheels1987 · 13/05/2015 at 14:30

    Priddis is a gun
I wish i could bring him in but team structures wont allow
if you can have him, snap him up

      Derek · 13/05/2015 at 19:47

I can make that trade with $600 left in kitty.

      Crowls · 14/05/2015 at 14:26

+1 already got r13 bye trouble and this would just make it worse

derek · 13/05/2015 at 13:59

don't get TMitch to make cash, he won't make that much really, compared to a rookie bubble boy. Get him if you think he will make you points. once you get him in and he becomes a keeper, his price is irrelevant.

The best case is that you get him for $400k, and he turns out to be a must have top 6 forward and everyone is then forced to get him in for $550+. you are ahead of the pack. If you are thinking he will make you some cash, he isn't that good return on investment

    I N Pieman · 13/05/2015 at 14:28

A lot of reasons for and against for Tmitch. I think he’s a 5-550k player. He’s serious value. But he plays in a team that bats very deep in the mids. The defensive side of his game isn’t great. He’s also an injury risk. Is he a top 6 av fwd. Hmmmm big ask. If you do pick him this week be prepared to trade him again.

      TRIGGER HAPPY · 13/05/2015 at 17:31

I am getting titch thanks hoges as a M9 or F7 cover for the big boys when one gets a niggle or the general strikes. This week he will cover for Sloane until I decide which premo I will trade in. Probably not Jpk as have fyfe, Pendles and Parker so not a r12 bye trade.

      TRIGGER HAPPY · 13/05/2015 at 17:36

Hard to be defensive when u are getting leather poisoning. πŸ™‚ over a dozen tackles in two weeks might b a sign he has done the hard yards and prepared to hunt the man as well as the pill?

      BKW · 13/05/2015 at 18:26

      Agree completely

      Juzzy · 13/05/2015 at 23:44

The kid was getting 50 possesions a game in the seconds last year yet couldn’t crack it for a game with the Swans. Surely there is a problem between him and Longmire. Get him at your own risk.

    Wheels1987 · 13/05/2015 at 14:33

    well said

Hey guys, how many trades will you have left after this week?

    Wheels1987 · 13/05/2015 at 14:29

    I will have 22

what about the rest of the community??

    I N Pieman · 13/05/2015 at 14:29

Same as everyone else. Not enough with the carnage going on.

    @KingWinter7 · 13/05/2015 at 18:19

    I'll have about 20

brook · 13/05/2015 at 14:43

with glenn looking dicey this week we dont have any bubble boy downgrade options in the midfield (i already have dmac). hold or roll the dice on billy? seems a bit of a stretch to me …

    zeesus · 13/05/2015 at 14:45

hold. always hold. unless there is someone on the bubble don't pull the trigger early.. you will almost always regret it.

    I N Pieman · 13/05/2015 at 16:19

With news Glenn hobbled off from training yesterday it may re-emphasise why you wait till these lads are on the bubble. Wait & see on the stretch lad

hi community would like to know your thoughts on Stevie J he is priced at $425k with a BE of 60,pumped out a big one last week got a reasonable draw coming up, selwood getting more attention he could get some pill. he won't be this cheap for long and was thinking of going vandenberg—->stevie j

Gareth · 13/05/2015 at 16:22

Does anyone think Rocky will be a good get in a few weeks time. It seems he is playing more forward this year and Redden and Beams have taken his role.

    General Soreness · 13/05/2015 at 16:43

Rocky is a beast! Will be more mid when his ribs, head etc etc are better. 94 last week with only 3 good ribs and half a brain.

    Jesse · 13/05/2015 at 17:04

Surely a must a have when his price bottoms out. My MF 8 postion is SCREAMING out his name already!!!

    @KingWinter7 · 13/05/2015 at 18:18

He didn't start in the 700k's for nothing

      Derek · 13/05/2015 at 20:05

Ryan · 13/05/2015 at 16:48

Trade out Rich or Vandenberg?

    @KingWinter7 · 13/05/2015 at 18:17

    Danners16 · 14/05/2015 at 12:31

Rich, less chance of making his breakeven

Jesse · 13/05/2015 at 17:01

Sloane and Bellchambers to Tom Mitchell and Mummy…

Midfield bats like this Fyfe, Pendles, Shiel, Neale, Beams, Bontompelli (Swinging TMitch Fwd), Parker and Touk Miller.

Stef Martin will now partner Mumford in the ruck

Thoughts? Is Sauce a better option than Mummy?

    @KingWinter7 · 13/05/2015 at 18:17

Definitely upgrade TBC to Goldy….. obvious number 1 ruckman this year

    Derek · 13/05/2015 at 20:05

The Bont only belongs in forward line, not good enough to hold down a midfield place

    randomcliche · 14/05/2015 at 14:16

Depends on if you want Mckenzie. Sauce and mummy are interchangeable for mine. Sauce I’m going for next week…. I think….

Traderlyf · 13/05/2015 at 17:04

Sloane to Barlow
Vandenberg to Mckenzie
Leaves me with 300k in the warchest what do you think

    zeesus · 13/05/2015 at 17:07

i wouldnt touch barlow. his role has changed. you could pick a better fallen premo i think

    @KingWinter7 · 13/05/2015 at 19:36

    JPK or Priddis

Traderlyf · 13/05/2015 at 17:10

who do you think?

    Traderlyf · 13/05/2015 at 17:12

    parker maybe

      Traderlyf · 13/05/2015 at 17:12

Josh · 13/05/2015 at 17:40

Is sloane to Kieren Jack worth the risk? He's cheap as chips!
Or am I better off with priddis or dangerfield?

    @KingWinter7 · 13/05/2015 at 18:16

Much prefer Priddis at this stage

Sc newby · 13/05/2015 at 18:14

Question community,
Refi woot has been slated for more time on up the ground to provide flexibility and options out of defence, does this make him more cs relevant or is he still a bit long in the tooth???

    Derek · 13/05/2015 at 20:02

Nick isn’t too long in the tooth, because all his teeth have fallen out. Avoid

      Sc newby · 14/05/2015 at 09:38

This was my original thinking but he does rack up big numbers and being used as a marking option out of defence he will clunk them all day long

    Vlastuin Paradise · 14/05/2015 at 08:35

Took me a few seconds but I figured out your awesome autocorrect. If Nroo continues to play that almost mythical but often referenced “2008 Richo” role like he did last week, then he is a top 6 fwd lock. But if he doesn’t… You can figure it out.

Shark move that could be feast or famine.

    Sc newby · 14/05/2015 at 09:37

Reiwolt only just realised rookie autocorrect error

      Rick Grimes · 14/05/2015 at 11:20

I think you just created a new nickname (I assumed it was a real one).

@KingWinter7 · 13/05/2015 at 18:16

Is Eddie Betts a good pick?
Only 466k averaging 106 with a breakeven of 50

Looks to be one of the better forward options this year….

    Sc newby · 13/05/2015 at 18:18

Been looking at him myself but can't bring myself to do it, yet, he is playing some midfield this yr and gets good supply from Adelaide mids not sure how much of a pod he is

    LEKD0G · 14/05/2015 at 11:53

Been pushing him since preseason but haven't locked him in my team! Like him though

      Sarah · 14/05/2015 at 13:14

Me too. Like him a lot but haven’t had the guts to trade him in yet. His scores are still relying on 4-5 goals.

Liam · 13/05/2015 at 18:28

Thoughts on stevie J community?

    AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 13/05/2015 at 18:35

    I wouldnt take him

    Danners16 · 14/05/2015 at 12:29

A good POD if you need one and a big risk

    randomcliche · 14/05/2015 at 14:22

Don’t thunk he is top 10 material anymore. If he was a fwd then slam dunk at $420k. Ouch! the glass backboard just landed on me. Beware.

Spooners · 13/05/2015 at 18:51

Who should I get in the Forward line for Hogan
Goddard, Dalhaus or Martin?
I'm thinking of going to Goddard.

    Tophawk · 13/05/2015 at 19:17

I have gone Goddard. His price is still reasonable and he is super consistent. Dahlhaus had a shocker this week. I already have Dusty. I traded Goddard into my midfield for Sloane. Gives ne nice DPP flexibility moving into the byes.

      Derek · 13/05/2015 at 20:00

Goddard shouldn’t be in your team as a midfielder, only as a forward. If you trade out a premium midfielder , need to replace.

    Danners16 · 14/05/2015 at 12:30

Martin has been in good form recently

T.J.M · 13/05/2015 at 18:52

Thoughts on my team

Simpson, Shaw, Kelly, Newnes, McIntosh, Saad, Oxley, McKenzie
Fyfe, Selwood, JPK, Parker, Beams, Cripps, CEY, Miller, Vandenberg, Steele, Krak
Goldstein, Maric, Read
Gray, Martin, Swan, Clark, Salem, Hogan, Tarrent, Lonie

I have 200k in the bank

Was thinking Hogan and Vandenberg to Lever and Pendles via multiple DPP's and next week go Kelly to Smith who will be below 400k. Thoughts?

    Tophawk · 13/05/2015 at 19:24

Not a bad side you have there mate. And you dont have Sloane like me!
Pendles is a must have IMO and Hogan and Vandie are close their b/e pricing. Lever is the only slight worry for me. Has only played the one game, but does seem like he should have good job security. All in all not a bad trading strategy this week.

    Derek · 13/05/2015 at 19:55

Do you have $200k exactly? Or maybe a little bit more. If so can you do a straight trade Hogan to Priddis?

If there is no one to trade down to then don’t.

There is talk of a few rookies soon, I hope, H Goddard big chance for game this week, Steele and J Kolojasani.

I think Zac Dawson isn’t far away either.

      T.J.M · 14/05/2015 at 07:34

Yeah Derek I'm about 30k off Priddis

T mitchel or Bennel or Devon Smith ??

Help please

    @KingWinter7 · 13/05/2015 at 21:03

All good forward picks but i went to Eddie Betts this week. Only 466k averaging 106 and a massive POD.
Hope i made the right choice….

    I N Pieman · 14/05/2015 at 11:56

Tmitch or Betts as a sneaky POD

Devon Smith as a POD would be good

Liam · 13/05/2015 at 19:49

Parker or Roughead/Bont

    Derek · 13/05/2015 at 19:57

brook · 13/05/2015 at 20:57

have 25 trades and holding till next week for downgrades. considering a sneaky sideways in defence: simpson -> birchall?

    @KingWinter7 · 13/05/2015 at 21:05

You have a lot of trades but i'd still say no because i see Simpson as a keeper this year despite his poor form lately

      Derek · 13/05/2015 at 21:39

Hold Simpson. More important other trades to do.

    Danners16 · 14/05/2015 at 12:28

Murray · 13/05/2015 at 21:04

Goddard or priddis? Which one is the better long term promo keeper?

To get priddis:
Luenberger to priddis via TBC dpp and krakouer dpp
Vandenburg to Mckenzie

For Goddard:
Luenberger to Goddard via tbc dpp
Hogan to Mckenzie via krakouer dpp

Thoughts please

Hi community, I have SC Gold but can't search for cash cows, In the items in the research area above the players, it's got titles Summary, Stats, Projections Cash Cows etc. Summary and stats are in white and the rest in gold, I can hover over and click lon all fo them but nothing happens other than a loading thing at the top. So it thinks it doing something. Can anyone help about searching for cash cows? I'm sure I could do it last year.

    LEKD0G · 14/05/2015 at 11:55

Click the filter image (looks like a funnel) and a drop down menu appears and you can search by less than 3 games, price, breakeven etc.

      Mighty_Hondo · 14/05/2015 at 13:51

      Cheers Lekdog,

I was hoping to search just on cash cows for those midpricers etc that might be going up who don't fit into the 3 game category or under $200k. I could not find a search for breakeven either.

Thanks weways, great show, keep up the good work and love the pic of Mr Burgundy's mow in the background.

    Danners16 · 14/05/2015 at 12:27

Tough call, I like the look of D.Smith as a POD, but probably either Bont or Goddard

      Ryan · 14/05/2015 at 16:31

so do i looks solid this year do you rekon he will be a top 6 forward finisher?

Priddis, boak, selwood or shiel thoughts

Morse · 14/05/2015 at 09:43

Hi Lek,

I might be on my own here but I am thinking of punting swanny out of my team, he has made some money (despite a big drop last week) and got me some points but can't see him averaging 100 from here for the rest of the season. Too old, too slow and harnessing 1 maybe several slight niggles.

Is this pure genius or suicide?

Thoughts community

    Tophawk · 14/05/2015 at 09:54

He is in my team too at the moment. At the start of the season I had planned for him to be a keeper for the whole season. Like you, I am not so sure now. After the last 2 rounds, his output has been a concern. His SC average over the last 3 rounds has only been 82 SC points.

I will be watching him very closely against the Tigers on Sunday. A fourth sub 90 performance in a row will set the alarm bells ringing.
I will probably look to trade him out for a fallen premo upgrade either in the midfield or forward line.

    Rick Grimes · 14/05/2015 at 11:17

I think Swanny is a keeper. He'll ton up regularly. I definitely see him as a top 10 forward, so unless you have zero problems elsewhere, I'd leave him be.

    LEKD0G · 14/05/2015 at 11:50

I get it mate but I don't mind him sitting at f6

jimmydowland · 14/05/2015 at 10:18

thoughts on josh glenn? should i trade vandenburg to him?? not sure. need ya advice community

    Rick Grimes · 14/05/2015 at 11:14

Need to see if he's named. Was a gun in his first game, struggled to get into last week. Reports he limped off at training, but there's been nothing official. If named I think he's a decent option with -66 BE, and all the injuries at GC should keep him around for a while. If not named stay away.

    Danners16 · 14/05/2015 at 12:26

If you don't have much of a warchest, sounds like a good trade

    PJay · 14/05/2015 at 12:55

It won't be an easy 3rd game for him. Playing the in form Eagles at home.

Matt · 14/05/2015 at 10:51

What's everyone's thoughts on Liam Picken? Last 3 weeks scored 143, 132 and 119. Good POD for the defence

    Rick Grimes · 14/05/2015 at 11:15

Like what I see. Defense is so up and down, it's hard to pick with any certainty. Why not I say.

    Danners16 · 14/05/2015 at 12:25

He would be a good POD, but he could be a tagger at anytime. No one knew that Newnes would be a tagger

Beady Eye · 14/05/2015 at 11:35

I’m a bit torn on which area to prioritise with my upgrade to premiums this week. Would be interested to hear the community’s thoughts.

I’ve culled KMac at the back and can finish painting the fence by swapping Vandenberg for JPK (increasing point scoring by ~40 points a week) or TBC for Stef Martin (likewise gaining about 40 points on average).

Going back and forth on this… but leaning towards the ruck upgrade, as there’s more premium options available in midfield if I don’t grab JPK, ie. Rocky in the next week or two.

    You BloodyRippa · 14/05/2015 at 12:57

    I prefer VDB to JPK.

Only because I think you are getting JPK near the bottom of his price range, and you would be getting Martin near the top of his.
I don't see TBC's price moving much, so you could trade him to Martin almost anytime. Its a lower priority.

At the moment I think we have to concentrate on trading out the rookies who have topped out to the premo keepers when they are good value.

Some would argue that VDB hasn't quite topped out…. but I have a feeling the cash train of those Melb rookies is about to de-rail against the Hawks.

      You BloodyRippa · 14/05/2015 at 13:04

Personally, I'm holding VDB a bit longer to help me get Selwood and Rocky. GAJ may even come back on the radar in a few weeks. But I'm a leagues player. I'm not chasing the extra 40 pts this week.

        Beady Eye · 14/05/2015 at 13:25

Cheers Rippa, appreciate the reasoned response.

    derek · 14/05/2015 at 13:47

I think martin's price is at its peak. To expensive for what he will produce.

      Beady Eye · 14/05/2015 at 14:06

BE is 89 and 102 the next two weeks, so still a bit of a price rise to come.

But point taken… might try to catch Goldy on the way down instead.

    randomcliche · 14/05/2015 at 15:09

Jacobs or mummy might leave a bit more cash.

If bringing in Mckenzie(dpp) you could cull vb instead of kmac and then tbc up to Jacobs/mummy who are better value than martin this week.

You’ll have extra $ for next week’s painting if you are that way inclined.

I’m looking at a similar thing to allow a double up next week to jacobs and Rocky. (Depends on levers performance this week, he could derail that double upgrade a week.)

Ivan · 14/05/2015 at 12:59

Any news on how much longer CEY will be out for?

I N Pieman · 14/05/2015 at 13:14

1-2 mate. Hold if you can. With Sloane out I'd say he will come straight back in when available.

    Ivan · 14/05/2015 at 13:45

I might not have much choice but to hold him…..I have CEY, Heeney and Glenn as my Mid reserves.
Already made trades to bring in Gray and Mckenzie via Rich and Vandenburg. Hopefully be able to turn Heeney into Rockliff next week or the week after…..

      I N Pieman · 14/05/2015 at 14:26

CEY still has a fair bit of cash to be made. If you can hang onto him do so. I have him & Sloane on the bench this week.

      Derek · 14/05/2015 at 16:57

Get rid of Heeney before Vandenberg

derek · 14/05/2015 at 13:51

I am worried about Mitch Clark. I don't like the way the club was talking about his chances of playing this weekend. He may get named in the team today, but he is still 50/50 if he plays on Saturday night. Problem is that Melbourne play in the afternoon, I was going to trade Hogan out, I'm considering clark instead, but he might be a late out before the game.

    randomcliche · 14/05/2015 at 14:05

I’m benching Clarke this week. Suggest it’s the safe way forward. I don’t think he’ll be out for long. In any case you’ll have more info next week.

    nick · 14/05/2015 at 14:37

clark will play geelong wont take any chances on not having him in the team

Sc newby · 14/05/2015 at 14:00

Sloane to priddis or beams??? Already have fyfe Selwood jpk Pendles griffin and will have rocky in a week or 2

randomcliche · 14/05/2015 at 14:02

Anyone else in SC CUP? If so do you have a bye this week as well? What is your SC cup rank and overall rank? Mine are 2027 and 24390 respectively with a bye.

Ps I’ve put this q in the dex files well.

    Riley · 14/05/2015 at 20:56

Yeah I am mate, I don't have a buy this round though. My SC Cup Rank is 7000 and Overall Rank is 30,000, not doing as well as I would have liked but oh well thats SC for you hahah.

      randomcliche · 15/05/2015 at 16:12

Goodluck Riley. Interesting that we are only 5k apart overall and 5k apart in SC cup….hmm. I’m not doing as well either but this comp is reason to belive!

randomcliche · 14/05/2015 at 14:30

Do you think Rocky will have a 1 week bargain window or will he be down for a fortnight or so? Thoughts?

    I N Pieman · 14/05/2015 at 16:02

The 0 will disappear after this week & depending on how he scores this week he will start heading North again in price. His price next week will be a ridiculous bargain for what he’s capable of. Jump on

      Derek · 14/05/2015 at 16:59

Get Rocky next week, everyone else will be

        randomcliche · 14/05/2015 at 17:16

Thanks Derek and Pieman. Trades adjusted this week to make sure the cash is available for a double upgrade πŸ™‚ Wouldn’t have been able to if I just focused on the best team for this weekend.

    SideBySidebottom · 14/05/2015 at 18:36

If he scores 110 over the next two weeks he'll drop by $20k next week and be back up to his current price the next week. His price drop of $56k is based on his current concussion effected average of 56. He mightn't score 110 but it's more likely than 56 one would think.

randomcliche · 14/05/2015 at 14:31

Daniel Rich. Who here watched the game, or saw him training this week. Is his ankle crook?

Johny · 14/05/2015 at 15:06

My goodness – my whole is going to end if Josh Glenn does not play this week.

    I N Pieman · 14/05/2015 at 16:08

Don’t like his JS either way. Could be an invaluable lesson on the risks of going early on rookies. The bait he threw out was tasty.

    Tyler · 14/05/2015 at 19:29

Named out with an ankle injury. Should be back eventually though

Liam · 14/05/2015 at 15:27

I have 2 options

1. Sloane to gray
rich down to mckenzie
then next week i can upgrade hogan to selwood via gray dpp

2. sloane to priddis
rich down to mckenzie
then next week hogan downgrade.

Thoughts community??

    randomcliche · 14/05/2015 at 15:32

    1. But thunk in opt 2 you mean upgrade hogan. If upgrading then 2.

    Sarah · 14/05/2015 at 15:43

option 1 sounds good. Maybe you could have a look at JPK instead of selwood.

budgiesmugglers · 14/05/2015 at 16:39

    I N Pieman · 14/05/2015 at 16:43

      budgiesmugglers · 14/05/2015 at 16:56

have 260k and plenty trades, who would i go if did?

        Derek · 14/05/2015 at 17:10

Gray, Goddard, dusty, swan, the Bont, Bartel, Delidio, Motlop, Bennell, smith.

I like the players who are genuin midfielders but are listed as forwards

Key position players are to inconsistent

          budgiesmugglers · 14/05/2015 at 17:14

what about upgrading b hill to premo mid? ideas?

      budgiesmugglers · 14/05/2015 at 17:04

      upgrade b hill to who?

    Stickman · 14/05/2015 at 18:19

You can't trade Buddy, when you bring a KPF you bring in the risk of the inevitable form slump.

budgiesmugglers · 14/05/2015 at 17:02

or upgrade b hill to premo

    Stickman · 14/05/2015 at 18:18

Hill only has a breakeven of 75 could hold another week

Stickman · 14/05/2015 at 17:20

Is bringing in Redden for Sloane worth it?
If not are there any players he are in a minuscule amount of teams that could get the job done?

Derek · 14/05/2015 at 17:21

Rocky has a BE of 199 this week, but his 0 will drop out of his average after this week.

Say he scores 120sc this week,

What will his price drop to next week (I guess $455k)

And what will his new BE be? I guess it will be low

It is Rocky or bust next week

    Derek · 14/05/2015 at 17:24

I might need to get Rocky next week and put up with TBC another week!

      Josh · 14/05/2015 at 17:31

his projected drop is 55,800 which would take him down to 438400, only projected to score 72 though

    demon · 14/05/2015 at 17:41

my question is should you bring him if you already have beams?

      Tophawk · 14/05/2015 at 18:10

Off course. Rockliff is an absolute must at 450K no matter how many brizzie players are in your midfield at the minute. You still have a good month before the byes start so you can slowly tinker with your structures to get the right balance come the byes.

    Stickman · 14/05/2015 at 18:17

Agree. He is a must have

T.J.M · 14/05/2015 at 17:24

Hogan and Vandenberg to either

Pendles and Lever via DPP's with no cash left
Pendles and Glenn and 95,000 left

    Stickman · 14/05/2015 at 17:41

McKenzie, Lever needs to get a second game first

      Traderlyf · 14/05/2015 at 19:12

yeah mckenzie instead of lever and your set

Josh · 14/05/2015 at 17:28

would love people thoughts on tom mitchell are people seeing him as a keeper. I have been burnt int the past by him but his stats so far are hard to ignore. haven't seen a sydney game so haven't seen where he is playing majority of his game time. I'm tossing up between him and goddard… mitchell gives me the extra $$ that i could use to strengthen the back line but don't want to have to burn that extra trade if he gets dropped

    Stickman · 14/05/2015 at 17:40

I think if you bring him in you have to see him as a keeper due to his price. He seemed to play as a high half forward/wing with stints in the centre during the second game and has only averaged 78% TOG this year. Depends on your structures but Goddard is the safer option.

    Dee · 14/05/2015 at 18:47

    Get him in!

MOC · 14/05/2015 at 18:05

    Tophawk · 14/05/2015 at 18:14

Solid trades. Priddis nicely valued now and running into good form. Mc Kenzie is on the bubble this week and getting rid of Newton to get him seems like a decent move. Newton is pretty much on his be price now and his form has not been great.

    Stickman · 14/05/2015 at 18:15

    Agree good looking trades

    MOC · 14/05/2015 at 18:41

    Cheers Guys

the bear has dropped · 14/05/2015 at 18:40

so whats everybody doing about Sloane? I aint waiting 6 weeks for him.

    Dee · 14/05/2015 at 18:46

I'm holding… getting the ROCK next week!

      Tophawk · 14/05/2015 at 19:02

I am liking your thinking Dee. Like bear said, I ain't waiting six weeks either, but I could save one trade this week by benching Sloane for just this week and then using Sloane to "downgrade" to Rockliff!!! Who would have ever thought that.

        Dee · 14/05/2015 at 19:10

Tophawk I'm holding Sloane for the long haul… I have enough money to get Rockliff next week, hopefully Sloane is only out for 4 weeks! I see him as a top 10 midfielder no doubt….

Jimmy · 14/05/2015 at 18:41

Thoughts on this option?

Hold Sloane and trade for Rocky next week.
Trade out Vandy for DMaK
Trade out Hogan for TMitch
Then next week cull Kmac for Lever

    Dee · 14/05/2015 at 18:45

    I like it a lot mate….

      Traderlyf · 14/05/2015 at 18:53

ill be doing the exact same

    Jimmy · 14/05/2015 at 19:03

Problem with this is that Ill end up with one 0 now since I have Sloane, CEY, Heeney and Anderson all out. :S

      Traderlyf · 14/05/2015 at 19:08

heeney to mckenzie for sure? keep vandenberg, his playing…

        Jimmy · 14/05/2015 at 19:19

I'll have 90k less if I get rid of heeney and then risk vandy not making his BE. Then there'll be the problem of finding a trade option for vandy in 2 weeks time (unless i trade in lever for him instead of Kmac). Sitting on the fence here :/

      Traderlyf · 14/05/2015 at 19:35

      heeney -> Mckenzie mate….

        Traderlyf · 14/05/2015 at 19:51

heeneys out for like 6 weeks man?

Traderlyf · 14/05/2015 at 18:47

Alright im having a load of trouble deciding what to do here… heres my team could somebody please give me ideas!!!

DEF: Smith, Higgins, Simpson, Oxley, Newnes, Kelly (Saad, Mcintosh)
MID: Fyfe, Pendles, Heppell, Parker, Cripps, Vandenberg, Miller, Sheed (Lewis, Sloane, Glenn) #struggletown
RUCK: Goldestein, Bellchambers (Read)
FWD: Gray, Martin, Swan, Bontempelli, Tarrant, Hogan (Clark, Krak)

    Liam · 14/05/2015 at 18:53

Trade sloane. If you don't want to, then go :
    Vandenberg down to mckenzie
    TBC up to maric

      Traderlyf · 14/05/2015 at 18:55

decided to go vandenberg to mckenzie
hogan to mitchell since hes been named in the guts – risk vs reward

        Good choices

    Derek · 14/05/2015 at 20:03

    SideBySidebottom · 15/05/2015 at 17:59

Don't do it if you're compromising your ruck bench cover link.

Rob · 14/05/2015 at 19:16

I have done my trades

Rich to D. Mckenzie

Sloane to Gray

I have kade simpson and he is not playing this week along side with Saad and Hamlin

Do i reverse my trades?

Any suggestions?

    Tophawk · 14/05/2015 at 19:29

You could be looking at at least one donut on your backline this week.

Do you have Newnes or another def/mid floater? If not, why dont you trade out Hamling for Mc Kenzie? Hamling is just a bench warmer and it will at least give you 6 on field scorers on your backline.

Sloane to Gray which is an excellent switch. However, you may no longer able to afford Gray now, as Rich is worth a lot more cash than Hamling. Have you considered keeping Sloane on the bench for just this week and trade him out next week for Tom Rockliff at around 450K? You would have saved a trade and made 65K at the same time!

    Anyways, hope that helps.

      Traderlyf · 14/05/2015 at 19:53

can you switch saad into the mids for mckenzie for this week so that you dont have to cop a donut

        Rob · 14/05/2015 at 20:18

        Yeah just realised that

      Rob · 14/05/2015 at 20:17

      Cheers Tophawk

Stickman · 14/05/2015 at 19:22

Will be trading Heeney to McKenzie this week and also need to dispose of Sloane.
I'm thinking either
1) Mitchell (Mid-price Gun, very low JS, on the bubble)
2) Shuey (0.5% of teams, dropped 50k, 3 rd avg of 105)
3) Redden (0.4% of teams, dropped 60k, 3 rd avg of 102)
4) Barlow (1.2% of teams, dropped 120k, 5 rd avg 95)

    Roger · 14/05/2015 at 19:27

    5) Duncan

      Tophawk · 14/05/2015 at 19:33

      6) Rockliff

(Next week after keeping Sloane on your bench for just one week)

Tyler · 14/05/2015 at 19:46

What's happening with Kade Simpson?? Should I drop him?

Jacko Youngblood · 14/05/2015 at 20:08

Kade and saad not playing this week and have them both on my ground with no backup on my bench. Thinking of putting Saad in the mid on my bench and bringing in Dmac. Not sure what to do with Kade as he is leaking cash and not looking on his game… Thoughts?

Simo · 14/05/2015 at 20:12

Gday community got a at very sad looking team this week, got 6 out this week from injuries, suspensions. What's everyone's thoughts on Armitage??? Is a top 5 midfielder this year? Thinking of going Sloane to Armitage? Or am I just chasing that car and going to get a face full of exhaust!!!

    Tophawk · 14/05/2015 at 20:20

I reckon Armitage is a very valid option. He seems like a great super premo POD. Flying under the radar a bit. I dont have him at the moment, but I am watching. LOL

He has been super consistent over the last few seasons. He is not cheap, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Barring injury, he should be top 8-10 midfielders IMO. Jack Steven will pinch points of him though.

Nifty · 14/05/2015 at 21:05

Thoughts please. Mitch & Parker, Mitch & Bont or Fyfe & Lever?

Adsy · 14/05/2015 at 21:36

1. Heeney > McKenzie
2. Leaves me $170,400 in bank
3. What should be my next trade? Here are some options currently in my side
B: McIntosh or Newnes
M: Rich, Vandenberg, Ellis-Yolmen
F: Clark, Hogan, Bellchambers

Any help would be awesome!

    Traderlyf · 14/05/2015 at 21:41

hogan to a goddard/mitchell/dahlhaus would be good

Ethan · 14/05/2015 at 22:01

should i got mcintosh-Mckenzie (already got kelly covering saad)
or Vandenburg down to Mckenzie and up bellchambers to priddis (via swing swan into the fwd)

Pieman 74 · 14/05/2015 at 22:01

Greetings Community
Forced into trading Sloane and Heeney this week to avoid a double donut in the midfield. Was initially thinking Sloane to T Mitchell (extra DPP) and Heeney to McKenzie, however, general concensus seems the T Mitchell is a bit risky. Would love your thoughts on whether to go with my initial trades or if there are better options to consider for either trade.

Phil · 14/05/2015 at 22:35

Not taking TMitch might be a bigger risk than taking him. At worst you should still make money on him. Heeney to McKenzie is a solid trade, nobody will dispute that
