Some interesting options this week community.
We have a few of our rookies starting to look pretty plump – and some likely types on the bubble who look pretty fair options ahead of round 7.
Higgo leads us into another week in the fantasy trench with a heart warming tribute to his mother – before we feast on the flesh of fantasy significance for another week.
Enjoy the show folks.

Unreal Jock and crew
need lots of help this week !
What do you need help with Gab?
Holding this week Matthew, need to save my trades !
Yourself ?
Not jumping on Titch?
no doubt titch is scoring well and with heeney out hopefully he will keep his spot.
Are there any popular forward rookies with high BE's ?
Do not have Supercoach gold but surely Hogan only has 10-25k more to make. Where as if Titch can keep his average up he will go up by 30k with his breakeven of only 8.
Unfortunately don't have supercoach gold John.
Hogan is interesting, only about 100k to titch. Could be a very viable trade.
Hogans B.E is 77 Around his average. Has a big ceiling but can also get lost… 100k is ok for a player that is pumping out 520k type scores.
this week bellechambers out jacobs in, heeny out and mckensie in, looking good, and no i wouldnt jump on titch, underpriced by wont be top 10 forwards for the year IMO
have 378k and need to upgrade Heeney and McIntosh…
what premiums are looking value at the moment?
Anyone FWD players you can swing into the mids?
love it jockky boy
Anyone know Oxleys BE?
-8 this week Jimmy, still fattening…
Thoughts. Decent week. Scored 2127.
24 trades.
328k.
DEF; Shaw, Oxley, Saad, Lumumumba, Newnes, KMac (Goodes, Brown)
MID: Fyfe, Ebert, Steven, Beams, Sloane, Parker, Vandenberg, Krakouer (Heeney, CEY, Glenn)
RUCK: Maric, NicNat (read)
FWD: Martin, Swan, Gray, TBC, Tarrant, Hogan (Salem, Clark)
Thinking about what everyone is going to do but still would love some opinions
KMac –> DMac
Hogan –> TMitchell
Cheers.
Dmac?
Dan Mckenzie from saints looks like he has good job security. Average of 71. On the bubble this week. Only 120k
Daniel McKenzie. Def/Mid from Saints
Thoughts on lever instead?
Next week.
I wouldn't be trading out either of KMac or Hogan with all the other players you have out this week. Surely Heeney to DMac and Sloane to a premo mid would be priorities.
Instead of KMac i'd tried out Heeney for DMac
And Hogan to Mitchell is good
This is what i'm doing
That could be the better option!..
If Lever plays again next week. That is when Kmac goes.
As Crouching would say: Bang Bang
See ya Hogan and Mcintosh.
Welcome Premo defender and young cow.
Will be spending the week pondering who to bring in. Burgoyne looking very nice at the moment at his price.
I'm expecting McDonald (melb) to repeat Janesch's output last year. Start strong but then drop off after the byes
Dees fan here. McDonalds got the right attitude. I think he'll be worthy of trust all year.
i started the year with t mcdonald and he is one of the dees best athletes (get on him) he wont let you down
Tom Mitchell is he a foward 6 keeper or a trap. That is the question
Keeper. Gut feel. Heeney out for 4 to 6. No vest in sight. Ability to tin up at will. Will be trading across from rich then move him forward in a couple of weeks (rd 11) when cows fully fatten. Lovely F6 and will be close to 500k come last month.
Go and have a look at Swans midfield……. JPK, mcGlynn, Parker, McVeigh, Parker, Hanaberry, jack (I’m sure there are others).
Mitchell will have some good games and some poor, just too much talent there
Less poor games than you think, haven’t checked the stats but is an in and under player and we all know contested possessions is where the scores are at. Will struggle to score under 90 I reckon, but that said I’m not 100% sold. Might just be too many slices to be cut out of the Sydney midfield pie. However as a fwd he is looking mighty tempting. Think he averaged 90 or so in his rookie year didn’t he?? Two years stronger and older…. Might not be top 6 fwd but might be 6-10 for 400k is tempting
Methinks a trap, not a top 8 mid or top 6 fwd imo. Also better options to generate $$$, so won't be touching him.
I believe the kid has something to prove. Is a gun will only get better with Heeney out.
This is gonna cause plenty of debate this week… No doubt he has worked his tail off to get into the side, he knows Horse doesn't care if he racks up 50 touches, it's all about the defensive aspects to his game. I watched him Sunday night, looked good and has decent d.e% to boot.
Is Dex Files taking requests?
Could well be a trap. Bird still to come back you’d think and Lloyd. While I’d have him in ahead of those two, Longmire consistently hasn’t. So Tich will no doubt score pretty well when he plays, but could just as well sit out a week or two also. That’s a lot of coin sitting on the bench when it happens.
(Trying to talk myself out of it also.)
what do we do with CEY! im thinking Kmac to Mckenzie and vanders to glenn 350k in the bank
next week upgrade rich to rockliff and upgrade a rookie to selwood
Trading plan looks good. Keep CEY as long as you have bench cover. Will fatten up a lot more!
First trade yes, second trade no. VBerg is fine, coin left him and jumping on Glenn is not a must have rookie IMO. Look at getting Rocky in 2-3 weeks
I'm going Kmac to mckenzie, then next week vandenberg to lever using the dpp of mckenzie, as long as lever scores well and vandenberg looks unlikely to hit his BE
who should i bring in priddes, beams or selwood?
pick one
selwood
Selwood.
Selwood, leave until byes
na dude i am behind in my league
need to win this week
Selwood
Rich – T.Mitchell
Gives in so many ways. Flexibility and ability to slaughter forward cows. That’s the move to make
Thinking of downgrading McIntosh this week and then either upgrading Rich to goddard to downgrading Rich then double upgrade next week
Thinking exactly the same
what downgrade options do we have this week?
Glenn (MID, 120k GCFC) B.E: -66 ok JS due to Injuries and suspension.
McKenzie (MID, DEF 120K Saints) B.E: -72 Good job security.
They are the noticeable ones I think.
Looking at holding Macintosh 1 more week. Need to trade
Newton to McKenzie
Hogan to bont
with $516 left in the kitty. Thoughts community?
Holding KMac as well, Lever looks like a fantastic option if he plays the next 2
Lever looking very good to trade in!
Is Bont the best you can do? What does your current foward line look like?
I’ve got the cash to get anyone. You think I should be more aggressive and go Gray or a Goddard. Aiming to get them just thought the bont was going at a good price. Forwards are swan, Martin, Benelle, bont, Tarrant, Salem, Clarke, saad
Gray! Certain lock as no 1 forward imo! The bont is good but I think will hover around his price range so no rush.
Mcintosh to mckenzie
Lonie to T. mitchell…..
I swapped mitchell into the midfield with lambert going into my forward bench.Put mitchell on field and heeny on bench. Then when lewis comes back my midfield will be all set with Fyfe, Sloane, Watson, Griffen, Parker, Lewis, Mitchell (looks to be a keeper), trading in rockliff next week.
And the only upgrades I need to do in the forward line are Hogan and Tarrant but they still have cash to make.
Thoughts?
Thoughts on Tom Mitchell's job security?
Looks good, Heeney out 4-6 with a posterior injury according to the coach in his post match interview.
should be good for at least the next six weeks due to heeney's injury. hopefully in that time he can lock a spot down
I wish I could move on mc Intosh but with Lewis already on my mids bench and possibly Selwood and Sloane to join him this week I may leave the backs and forwards as is and move out heeney and Ellis yolman just to avoid two donuts. Thoughts community ?
selwoods been cleared of a broken hand, worst case scenario is a burst blood vessel, which wont keep him out
If you trade heeney to MacKenzie, you can cover a mid this week, then get rid of one of you defence rookies next week and swing him back. Win win.
whats your thoughts on this guys,
Heeney – Glenn
K.Mack – Mckenzie
leaves me with 300 for next week to downgrade a rookie and throw in a super premo??
Hi Adzy, Heeney to McKenzie is probably a wiser move as it opens the swing for saad and any other mid/def, this will be gold at bye time.
Kmac is in tigers best 22 and as long as he can walk he will play, he is much greater value to your team than Glenn who may not play 5 for the year. If you trade kmac before the byes it should be for a premo or for a rookie who looks like playing all year
Good to here from you Wombat.
Agree with the almighty Wombats. Also you can save Kmac for Lever when he becomes ripe. A little more expensive but like Tarrant is hit the park strong his first outing.
thanks for that bud
Vandenberg- Shiel
Hogan- Rookie ?
Anyway you can swap Hogan into the middle to? Glenn or McKenzie both great downgrade options.
Why not upgrade early?
Too early to trade out Vandenberg…
Trade Hogan out via a mid dpp to Mckenzie and someone else out for Glenn
Next week double upgrade
is Glenn still a good donwgrade option?
Watch the teams.. Many people to come back into the Gold Coasts side.
If named yes, otherwise no
I still think Hogan is good to keep, call me stupid, but the kid can play and is only getting better, im thinking of holding even though the high BE
im thinking Lewis > to TMac and then Henney > to Dmac in the middle
You'd be stupid to trade Lewis now
Agree with you on Hogan. My trading plans have him at F7/8 at the end of the season.
Problem with Titch is not his game its his attitude- the kid thinks he's top sh1t and unfortunately for him thats not the case and also that attitude doesnt belong in a 'mature' and 'professional' club like Sydney.
The kid needs to eat humble pie- or maybe he already has and thats why he is playing now.
Theres certainly a spot for him now that Heeney is out- but remember when Heeney was in there was NO spot for Titch which leads me to believe that he still has an attitude problem and hence problably a keeper issue.
Doesnt matter if you get 80 touches in a B grade comp…… no-one likes a smart ar5e. So Titch has 4-6 weeks to be a bit more humble and just focus on training…. but like a turtle- if he doesnt pull his head in it will ineitably get cut off.
to keep on the turtle analogy sprinkler, I'm avoiding him so my head doesn't get chopped off when he doesn't perform to Horse's liking defensively and gets dropped in a couple of weeks. Waste of a trade in my opinion, he hasn't proved anything yet.
That's a fairly harsh appraisal Sprinkler. The kid chose to stay in Sydney where he is a public nobody and struggling to get into a team where he is the in the lowest 10% when it comes to salary. If he was all about himself he would have taken the big dollars offered by Carlton where he'd win their Best and Fairest, be a celebrity whenever he went out and be paid double his Sydney income.
He HAD an issue with not being defensively aware and if he hasn't already proven that he's overcome it he will before anybody at Sydney can take his place.
Claims of selfishness or a non team attitude are rubbish.
bottom 10%????????
rumuors are he is on a ridiculous 600K and that comes from discussions about him on sen last year, talk about what his worth and whether he would actually get offered more than this 600K elsewhere and why would he leave.
maybe look into it.
yes he has defensive issues but maybe look at the tackle counts of other swans players. his defensive issues have nothing to do with why heeney after 1 year is already playing.
and there has been talk about his selfish attitude so i wouldnt say they are rubbish.
Hmm. Buddy on a mil and Tippett supposedly similar. McVeigh, Parker, Jack et al are in a top pay bracket and Sydney are under the spotlight for salary expenditure by every club and the AFL. YET some think that they pay a 'selfish, non team focused' bloke $600k p/season to sit in the two's rather than trade him for a draft pick. That seems highly unlikely.
Wombats- if you google Tom Mitchell Salary you'll find it says he gets paid over 400K. When Carlton and others spoke about trading for him most were surprised to find it was closer to 600K. And Carlton wasnt the only team to speak to him. And yes players salarys do get publi attention.
There was plenty of talk about the ridiculous close to 600K he is on for basically a non-player.
I guess he’s never really worked on his defensive game much
Considering its hard to defend when you have ball in hand
Spot on wombat
AGREEEED.
Tom Mitchell might be "cocky" but he can play football. That's all I look at. And what I am seeing are scores of 114 and 125 SC points over the last 2 rounds. Now that Heeney is out with an injury, Titch might just find his mojo.
Cheers
exactly
WILL be a regular in the swans team now, might even justify his wage in the next couple of years.
He should have been starting ahead of Heeney from the get go. The guy is a an absolute GUN and I don't see him giving his spot up. I'm bringing him in this week. The way i see it is he averages around 100, and even if for some stupid reason he loses his spot when Heeney comes back I'll have made some money and i move him up to a premo forward/mid. I don't see a losing scenario to be honest.
Hold or trade swallow?
Barlow, Stevie J or Parker?
I'd say Barlow but i'm not really sure of any tbh
I'd be jumping on players like JPK, Priddis, Selwood etc….
im with king winter on this one, theres plenty of value on them 3, wont see them much cheaper than that all year
Can;t see any in the top ten mids.
who to trade out first MCINTOSH or HEENY
Heeney 100%
heeny
how often can you say this! I will soon be downgrading Cripps to Rockliff.
Sheed -> JPK
Sheed -> Barlow
or wait for sheed to fatten a bit more
wait for sheed to flatten
Let the boy fatten up
anyone know hogan, bellechambers and mcintosh brekevens ? if you could help me thanks
SC – hogan, 77 TBC, 59 McInt, 33
Belch 59, Hogan 77, Mcintosh 33.
How many trades should we have by the time the byes come in?
It depends, I'm going in a bit risky, but I should have a full premo team and 13 trades left in the bank before the byes come around
would say about 17-20 into byes, and end byes at 10
Communities thoughts on Eddie Betts please…
Is he the real deal??? One of the best forwards this season and only 466k, averaging 106
Love him and love the way he's getting stints through the midfield this year. If Walsh keeps playing him through there he'll be a fantastic POD!!
I agree I've been looking at him, but was worried about inconsistency, but if he keeps getting a run on the ball I think he will reward your faith.
Jake Lever?
Job Security at the moment is it worth to down someone like mcintosh
Looked ok ,, but not sure on JS once Henderson fit again
To early, wait until next week
Have a look at Pearce from freo this week. Will b one the bubble next week and Lyon likes the boy.
Freo fan, loved watching his debut but with macpharlin and Dawson to come back in, can’t see Pearce getting too many games
thoughts on upgrading clark/hogan to burgoyne/mithcell (who go's and who comes in?)
Out hogan in comes Mitchell
Have I missed BJ cause I really need him?
Ps: held salem so goddards 29k prise rise is irrelevant to me.
Yeah i'd jump on. A definite lock comes season end
I just asked the same question, I don't think we have.
Your still getting a premium keeper for 525ish K. I strongly believe he will be a top 6 FWD this year so we want him.
I can't see him dropping this low for the rest of the season.
Heeney to McKenzie
Hogan to Tom Mitchell
Very likely to be my trades this week
McIntosh to McKenzie, Hogan to Titch for me too.
I bought in Dahlhaus last week. Chose him over Goddard, unlucky, but hopefully beats him long term. This week I'm thinking of going Hogan to Mitchell or Gray.
Option 1: McIntosh to McKenzie and Hogan to T.Mitchell.
Option 2: McIntosh to McDonald
If Sloane is set for surgery, Should I bring in T.Mitchell, Hanneberry, Neale, Johnson, Beams or maybe Treloar?
Someone to Mckenzie (not KMac, someone like Heeney, NVB etc….)
Hogan to Gray
If Sloane has a fracture to the cheek I cant imagine it would keep him out for very long?? Maybe 2 weeks? He can play with a facial fracture….I would think?
4-6 weeks
Beams.
Do we think it's really to late for Goddard?
I think he will be a top 6 FWD this year which means you want to get him.
He is still 12k lower than his starting price, basically I will be getting him in this year, is now still a good time? I couldn't fit him in last week.
He will probably not be this cheap for the rest of the season.
What do we think?
Jump on now! Definite lock comes end of season….
Don't worry about his last price rise
Think about it, paying about 535k for a premium forward you won't need to worry about for the rest of the year and will average 100+ is not a bad price.
Just do it! Lock away your obvious forward keepers.
Is Tom Mitchell finally becoming the premo we want him to be or is selecting him chasing the car?
Cheers
Car is still in driveway, get in while you can
TOM READ OWNERS: SC Gold says he historically scores well against his next Opponent..
Who farted
I did smelly fart today and it was still better than flute man from Brisbane
About time John. He's really been under-performing so far this year
Hey community just wondering about the best fallen premos and best rookies in each position this week are. I am trying to think of ways to get rid of either kmac, heeney and hogan. I probs am keeping hogan as i have 5 premos in the forward line so im think kmac to rookie in defence and heener up. I have the st kilda defender alrdy tho and 100k in bank.
Thanks for the help
Injuries have dictated that we hold KMac this week. Given that you have McKenzie already, you can probably hold KMac for another week and see if Jake Lever from the Crows plays again. If he does, then move KMac on next week for Lever. Heeney is a 4-6 week injury and so he's not worth holding. I really think Hogan needs to go this week, his BE is 77 and he might not get that against the Hawks.
Therefore, I would propose these two trades:
Heeney to Josh Glenn from the Gold Coast. On the bubble this week but job security isn't concrete so buyer beware.
If you have another mid rookie you can swing to your fwds (eg: Krak), then I would do so as this allows you to make a trade up to a premo midfielder. Guys I would be looking at are Selwood, Beams, JPK, Priddis, Goddard, etc. Some of these guys (JPK and Priddis) have bottomed out and some are still losing money (Selwood, Beams), but will be in your side for the rest of the year.
Hope this helps!
THINKING,, HEENEY to McKENZIE/// AND HOGAN to GLENN PUTS $563,300 IN MY BANK ,, GOOD MOVE OR NOT
Hmmm not sure glenn didnt score that well….not sure?
I'm keeping hogan
Get Mitchelle for hogan over Glenn
SWEET THX MATE
Now worries mate! I'm Trading Mith for Mem and keeping Hogan
Hi guys thoughts on my trades this week.
I'm planning on trading hogan out and getting mckenzie in via dpp, then trading vandenburg to goddard.
This gives me swing sets fwd mid and def mid and leaves me 22 trades.
Thnx.
I like it Caz.
Newton > McKenzie
Hogan > Bont
Thoughts?
Newton > Mckenzie looks good. Are you expecting Bont to be a keeper? If not, I'd go with someone like Franklin/Goddard instead. If Bont is in your top 6 forward for the year though, then go for it.
Sounds good
Better options out there than the Bont at this stage. Goddard for mine.
Does anyone know when lambert will be returning from injury?
Great question. When he comes back he will got straight into tigers team
You sure about that? he's a first year player who has had a long stint on the sidelines with injury – I would be expecting him to come back through VFL to get some match fitness. That said, Tigers may be in such a state of chaos at the time they throw caution to the wind!
AFL website lists him as 3-5 weeks still.
Great podcast again boys. I feel like my scoring could be severely increased by going the 1 trade this week in Rich to Fyfe.
My current mids are- Pendlebury, Neale, Beams, Sloane, Parker, Cripps, Miller (Vandenberg, CEY, Mckenzie)
Warchest total is at 274k and going with this 1 trade would leave me with 18k. Thoughts everyone?
No brained. Great trade
Is heeney to mckenzie a good trade??
I think so, Liam. Better than Glenn. And gives you a nice DEF/MID swing to give you nice coverage. Could be handy come byes.
+1
Not sure how this is going to help in the byes? Saad, Newnes and mac all have the rd 12 bye so cant cover for one another
Very true. But there are others who have DPP status and don't have rd 12 byes. Don't know everyone's side, Virgin, but assume many don't have Newnes. (hand raised) Point being, if you had needed to fortify you have the option. Just making another point to the merits of adding McK.
Maybe he was a draft that never got published? 🙂
Kewl I have all three so traded Mck for Hunt def only
Nice. I'm bringing him in for Henney. Unfortunately have to deal with Sloane as well. Wish I could keep but also have CEY and Lewis. D'oh!
I didn't watch the game on the weekend, but Jock is pretty happy with McKenzie's JS. If he is named this week, I would be putting him in.
I still have one eye on Whitecross. He has fallen in price (still to expensive). Not sure what his BE is, but I'm thinking he might drop abit more and I honestly think that the hawks have him in the longer term plans, just getting some game time into him now. he might drop to $180k and if there is no-ne else to downgrade out defence rookies to, keep him on your watch list for later in the year.
funniest podcast I have ever heard boys, shear brilliant comedy…..
What about Hogan Jock, K McIntosh will still make a little money this week but likely Hogan will drop?
Melbourne have Hawks, Dogs & port next three.
Both Hogan and Vandenberg will struggle. More likely to get a decent score from Vandenberg.
PURE GOLD. Put that one in the time capsule and let that Mum's Day classic to be savored through the annals of time.
Still not sold on Titch. Those who've never gone 15+ games seem a big, big risk. Also, Dees and Doggies aren't the toughest teams. I could be wrong but seems last year's logic applies…pay the extra coin to bring in Parker.
Swans midfield depth is too strong for Mitchell to get consistent high scores.
but he is a great price
Going back and forth about that, D. Parker seems the wiser pick but I'll need to give up my mid swing to get Parker in (using Hogan).
Is Parker worth the extra $72K? Thinking so at this point. Again, guys who haven't gone a full season make me nervous.
Mitchell looks like a great pick but the guy has still only played 22 games, has poor JS and a bad injury history. He also burnt me last year when I should've gone Parker. As good as he looks right now, I won't be trading him in.
Unlikely I will be either, Sarah. Too many ?s.
Thanks old mate!
thoughts on this one boys Vandenberg Be 66 – Mckenzie, Hogan be 77- T mitchel.
Next week Kmac- Lever Rich- Selwood/sloane?
That's exactly the trades I'm considering this week
My plan is trading Heeney to McKenzie then Rich to JPK. I’m holding McKintosh for another week but he is likely the next to go out of my team. I’m not overly concerned about my defenders as they’ve been so unpredictable this year.
I’m going for the 50K this year (currently ranked 380) so every trade I do is considered heavily but I don’t think I can go wrong with JPK.
JPK is top 8 midfielder for sure. Lock him in.
Good trades, JPK has bottomed out and you won't get him any cheaper.
who needs to go first?
Ellis-Yolmen, Vandenberg, Hogan, McIntosh?
downgraded Heeney to McKenzie and need to upgrade one of the above
In this order:
Hogan, McIntosh, Vandenberg. Hold CEY for now.
@Higgo. In regard to holding your rookies until first bye aren't you relying on 3 good rookies to be on the bubble right on time for first bye round? That isn't going to happen. You'll miss the boat on too many good rookies I think.
@Jock. I think Crouching One is right in bringing in DMac into the mids, as I will. If Kmac is ready to move on next week you can always trade him, then shift Dmac to defence and bring in a mid (up or down) then. Use the DPPs to your advantage if only for a week.
Great podcast once again jock and co
So my side if finally scoring something with being somewhat happy with
Selwood Parker and griff all seemed to be up and about this week
I need only one mid to have a full strength midfield
Do I grab Goddard for my forward line which is weak as all shit and that way I’m waiting for a Slone or rockliff after the byes
or do I grab beams Neale or Barlow type for my mids who are pretty low priced now?
Cheers guys
With only 1 mid spot remaining, I would save it for rocky. If you trade Goddard into your mid you can swing him forward to make room for rocky when the time is right.
Thanks mate
Yeah thats what im going to do im goping rocky and slone drop to 400k
could bring them in as bench cover if the finances hold up
Finally things coming together, clawed my way into the top 5k this week with a 2235 after being outside 20k after 2 rounds. For me this week I think it’s mckenzie in for heeney and then hogan up to T Mitchell. Might consider a midfield upgrade but not keen on any of this weeks value options as top 8 mids.
I've got this "friend' who has Travis Cloke in their team. (I would be to embarrassed to tell anyone). I have….errrr I mean he has put up with him from round 1, and only had him there because he was $300 short from affording The Bont. I was hoping for a Bryuen manouver. Should I just hold, he hasn't actually lost any coin and hope he starts to kick straight, or decide it was a poor idea and move on
Currently ranked 2901 with 26 trades left & $15k in bank.
DEF: Shaw, Simpson, Ibbotson, KK, Newnes, McIntosh, Oxley Godard
MID: Pendlebury, Fyfe, JPK, Griffin, SMitchell, Vandenberg, Cripps, Miller, CEY, Saad, Krak
RUCK: Goldy, TBC, Read.
Forwards: Gray, Goddard, Martin, Swan, Cloke, Tarrent, Hogan, Clark
Options:
1: Sideways Cloke to TMitchell.
2: Hogan >>>> McKenzie (via Goddard) & TBC >>> Sauce
3: Hoagn >>>>Mckenzie & Vandenberg >>> Selwood.
Tough, As you say cloke not losing money and surely at some point he bangs out a score and goes up at least 50k. I think the same can be said for tbc, not going backwards and he might just bang out a 90 or 100 and make us 50k as well. Sauce still has a high break even 130 odd. Selwood break even of 159 so feels a week or so early on him too. Hate saying it but maybe downgrade hogan and hold. i think if your trading cloke it would have to be up to a rolled gold forward or midfield type not another speculative pick
thanks Swans, good advice to just hold for now. Only made 4 trades this year, starting to get inchy fingers.
plan was to hold Cloke and trade up to Buddy during the byes. Was hoping Cloke may have increased by now and Buddy fallen a bit more, maybe i'll wait it out and stick to original plan.
same with TBC, was hoping for a bit more increase and trade into a fallen premium by now.
they have both sort of done their job without stinking it up.
I’m in the same boat with tbc at r2, I’m holding hoping for that one bigger score to boost his price. at least you’ve got goldy r1, I’m running nic nat!
Need your help guys
I’m definatley going heeney to Mckenzie
But i need to know what’s more important
Hogan >>> Goddard/Parker
Or
Macintosh >>> tom McDonald/birchall
Like to know your opinions
Thanks
Macintosh is more of a chance to hit his BE I reckon, still a little more cash to make
Yeah that’s what I was thinking so who do I pick for hogan?
I'll be looking Mcintosh down to Lever next week.
Yeah same, unless he gets back to his early season form of course
Hogan to Parker definitely
Parkers be is higher than Goddards though
Do you reckon i should wait and upgrade someone else?
Goddard
Hi Community
want your thoughts on best trade this week
1 Luenberger to grundy
heeney to d Mckenzie OR
2 Leunberger to T Mitchell (via TBC swing)
heeney to D Mckenzie
Thanks
I like the Heeney to McKenzie trade.
Not sure either grundy or Mitchell are A graders.
After the first trade, how much cash will you have.
For an extra $60k you could get Sauce, Mummy or Maric or for $10k less you could get Nic Nat or Sandilands……all proven A graders.
Franklin is now dropped to $481k, you could be getting him instead of the other two.
Derek will have $135k after first trade and $468K to spend. I could take Sandi or Nic Nat in the ruck or a Pavlich in fwd line. Buddy is out of range. I think I like the ruck option, thanks
Ripping podcast as always gents, large amount of comedy sprinkled with some SC wisdoms.
McKenzie and Titch likely inclusions for me, the outs are still up in the air.
I feel like Sloane has been cursed.
Hey Sarah , do you know what the latest is on Sloane? I knew he was having scan today .
Hey Pauly, I'm still waiting for an update from the scans. Apparently he was in good spirits this morning and not looking in pain according to the Adelaide Advertiser, so hopefully that's a good sign.
Thanks Sarah, fingers crossed all is Ok
Yeah he must have walked under a few ladders. Gun just needs to get on and stay on the park. LTI’s are killing me this year and I thought I brought durable players
Apologies Sarah, it was me bringing him in that clearly cursed Sloane. Out 4-6 after several weeks of suckage in my team.
I'm keeping Heeney for one more week while trading out Newton and Hogan to Pendlebury and Mckensie! Most of the popular rookies can still be held for at least one more week without losing money right?
Got 400k in the bank, 25 trades, thinking
Newton – Armitage
Hogan – Bontempelli
Any thoughts or suggestions be appreciated
I understand that Armitage is playing sensationally but I find it very hard to believe he will be a top 6 midfielder come year's end. Surely there are some fallen premos you can pick up? Who have you got in your midfield?
The Bont will probably be a top fwd so good choice there.
Got Fyfe, Kennedy, Pendlebury, Selwood, Swallow, Cripps and the usual rookies.
Had a look at Armitages numbers tho, very similar to Pendlebury. He’s been on an upwards trajectory last couple of years, he could be this years Gray/Parker and kill it from out of nowhere
Agree with Zeesus, although he doesn't have to be a top 6 midfielder to get far. Wouldn't look at Armitage. Priddis, Ward, Shiel, Boak are better options. Looking for a POD? Boyd is doing well in his new defensive role
Why not consider Mundy or Neale?
Back yourself in Micky, if you think Armitage can elevate himself into the elite bracket this year then I say go for it, he's a solid POD at the moment with people looking at other options. Doesn't really cop a tag so that will help his scoring, but the fact that the Saints will still cop some floggings this year mean he may have some quieter games.
Should I trade Rich to a premium this week or wait for Rockliff to come down even further? His current price is 490K and has BE of 199. My other trade this week is Heeney > McKenzie leaving me with 350K in the bank. Who is the best option out of Mundy, Priddis, Sloane, Heppel, Hanners, Neale and Goddard? Thanks community for all your help.
Sloanes scores have dropped since Thompson came back in and he may miss a few.
That swans midfield is going to be a lucky dip on who goes big, a lot of firepower.
Mundy been killing it across half back, solid pick.
Priddis will give ya the same week in week out.
Neale just runs around by himself, will keep racking up the touches.
And if ur going a bombers mid then Jobe will be the best of them by seasons end.
don't get just anyone into your team because that is who you can afford. Look at who is in your "final team' and pick them up when they are available at a good price.
Sloane was never in my final team, so I didn't get him in. Priddis is at M7 for me, so I would be looking at him this week. Goddard was, so he came in last week. Just stick to your plan.
My Final Team Mids: Gaz, Rocky, Fyfe, Pendlebury, JPK, Selwood, Priddis, Griffin
Surely you have to be flexible tho? I agree it’s good to have a plan but footy changes week in week out. If ya harness urself with just that set midfield for the year, start to finish, then ya miss out on players like Gray and Parker from last year.
Averages are averages for a reason. I take the same approach as Derek. Ignore the early bolters.
Hey guys should I trade Sloane ???
What to see what happens with the scans to day. If he’s cleared of a fracture he won’t miss any footy so hold him. If there is a fracture hell be out for 4-6 so you’d probably want to move him on.
Think I'll have to hold Sloane. Too much of a loss to lock in now.
I'm holding regardless.
What is going on with Brodie Smith? Someone.. please…
what is his BE?
128. The kid is going to drop below 400k. It's a travesty!
I havn't watched any Crows games this year, I heard he was playing on the wing the first two games and then got a thump in the head. Thompson has come back to the team, has Smith's role changed from the first two weeks?
I was keen to get him in after week 2, held off and will snap him up around $400k for sure.
agreed. I'll be picking him up in the next few weeks. Just nervous he might continue to score low.. we'll see.
I think he will be near top 8 defenders for the year. Not much between the top 8 to the next 8 either. he should be ok.
