Gab · 10/05/2015 at 21:21

Unreal Jock and crew
need lots of help this week !

    Matt Irvine-Dejong · 10/05/2015 at 21:27

What do you need help with Gab?

      Gab · 10/05/2015 at 21:28

Holding this week Matthew, need to save my trades !
      Yourself ?

        john · 10/05/2015 at 21:33

        Not jumping on Titch?

          Gab · 10/05/2015 at 21:38

no doubt titch is scoring well and with heeney out hopefully he will keep his spot.
Are there any popular forward rookies with high BE's ?

            john · 10/05/2015 at 21:41

Do not have Supercoach gold but surely Hogan only has 10-25k more to make. Where as if Titch can keep his average up he will go up by 30k with his breakeven of only 8.

              Gab · 10/05/2015 at 21:45

Unfortunately don't have supercoach gold John.
Hogan is interesting, only about 100k to titch. Could be a very viable trade.

                john · 10/05/2015 at 22:04

Hogans B.E is 77 Around his average. Has a big ceiling but can also get lost… 100k is ok for a player that is pumping out 520k type scores.

                  The Real MIDZY · 10/05/2015 at 22:21

this week bellechambers out jacobs in, heeny out and mckensie in, looking good, and no i wouldnt jump on titch, underpriced by wont be top 10 forwards for the year IMO

tom · 10/05/2015 at 21:24

have 378k and need to upgrade Heeney and McIntosh…

what premiums are looking value at the moment?

    john · 10/05/2015 at 21:34

Anyone FWD players you can swing into the mids?

      tom · 10/05/2015 at 21:36

have gray, martin and swan, John.

        john · 10/05/2015 at 21:38

Heeney into the FWD upgrade to Titch. He only costs 406k with Heeney out he will get more mid time. KMac down to DMac from the Saints.

          john · 10/05/2015 at 21:40

          Sorry didn't read the question.

          Who are you current DEFENCE?

            tom · 10/05/2015 at 21:41

I currently have Shaw, Simpson, Newnes, McIntosh, Saad, Oxley with brown and hamling on the bench

          tom · 10/05/2015 at 21:40

cheers for the help mate, sounds good

really not sure on Mitchell though..

            john · 10/05/2015 at 21:42

I think he and DMac will be the most traded in players this week. So they definately aren't PODS!

              Mattyo · 11/05/2015 at 00:07

at most 5-10% will trade in Mitchell, so he'll still be a POD for a couple weeks.

jimmydowland · 10/05/2015 at 21:28

love it jockky boy

Jimmy · 10/05/2015 at 21:29

Anyone know Oxleys BE?

    Poloko48 · 10/05/2015 at 21:32

-8 this week Jimmy, still fattening…

john · 10/05/2015 at 21:30

Thoughts. Decent week. Scored 2127.
24 trades.

DEF; Shaw, Oxley, Saad, Lumumumba, Newnes, KMac (Goodes, Brown)

MID: Fyfe, Ebert, Steven, Beams, Sloane, Parker, Vandenberg, Krakouer (Heeney, CEY, Glenn)

RUCK: Maric, NicNat (read)

FWD: Martin, Swan, Gray, TBC, Tarrant, Hogan (Salem, Clark)

Thinking about what everyone is going to do but still would love some opinions

KMac –> DMac
Hogan –> TMitchell

    Harrison · 10/05/2015 at 21:36

      john · 10/05/2015 at 21:44

Dan Mckenzie from saints looks like he has good job security. Average of 71. On the bubble this week. Only 120k

      Kev · 10/05/2015 at 21:45

      Daniel McKenzie. Def/Mid from Saints

        david · 12/05/2015 at 15:08

        Thoughts on lever instead?

          SideBySidebottom · 13/05/2015 at 22:38

          Next week.

            Brad · 15/05/2015 at 14:48

I wouldn't be trading out either of KMac or Hogan with all the other players you have out this week. Surely Heeney to DMac and Sloane to a premo mid would be priorities.

    @KingWinter7 · 10/05/2015 at 21:45

Instead of KMac i'd tried out Heeney for DMac
And Hogan to Mitchell is good

    This is what i'm doing

      john · 10/05/2015 at 21:58

That could be the better option!..

If Lever plays again next week. That is when Kmac goes.

PreviouslyOnLost · 10/05/2015 at 21:32

As Crouching would say: Bang Bang

See ya Hogan and Mcintosh.
Welcome Premo defender and young cow.

Will be spending the week pondering who to bring in. Burgoyne looking very nice at the moment at his price.

I'm expecting McDonald (melb) to repeat Janesch's output last year. Start strong but then drop off after the byes

    Red Fox · 11/05/2015 at 01:24

Dees fan here. McDonalds got the right attitude. I think he'll be worthy of trust all year.

      jacko · 11/05/2015 at 02:30

i started the year with t mcdonald and he is one of the dees best athletes (get on him) he wont let you down

Davo · 10/05/2015 at 21:32

Tom Mitchell is he a foward 6 keeper or a trap. That is the question

    Leon · 10/05/2015 at 21:36

Keeper. Gut feel. Heeney out for 4 to 6. No vest in sight. Ability to tin up at will. Will be trading across from rich then move him forward in a couple of weeks (rd 11) when cows fully fatten. Lovely F6 and will be close to 500k come last month.

      Derek · 10/05/2015 at 22:47

Go and have a look at Swans midfield……. JPK, mcGlynn, Parker, McVeigh, Parker, Hanaberry, jack (I’m sure there are others).

Mitchell will have some good games and some poor, just too much talent there

        Swans2012 · 11/05/2015 at 09:02

Less poor games than you think, haven’t checked the stats but is an in and under player and we all know contested possessions is where the scores are at. Will struggle to score under 90 I reckon, but that said I’m not 100% sold. Might just be too many slices to be cut out of the Sydney midfield pie. However as a fwd he is looking mighty tempting. Think he averaged 90 or so in his rookie year didn’t he?? Two years stronger and older…. Might not be top 6 fwd but might be 6-10 for 400k is tempting

    Poloko48 · 10/05/2015 at 21:37

Methinks a trap, not a top 8 mid or top 6 fwd imo. Also better options to generate $$$, so won't be touching him.

      john · 10/05/2015 at 21:47

I believe the kid has something to prove. Is a gun will only get better with Heeney out.

      Kev · 10/05/2015 at 21:49

This is gonna cause plenty of debate this week… No doubt he has worked his tail off to get into the side, he knows Horse doesn't care if he racks up 50 touches, it's all about the defensive aspects to his game. I watched him Sunday night, looked good and has decent d.e% to boot.

      Is Dex Files taking requests?

    Mike · 11/05/2015 at 13:17

Could well be a trap. Bird still to come back you’d think and Lloyd. While I’d have him in ahead of those two, Longmire consistently hasn’t. So Tich will no doubt score pretty well when he plays, but could just as well sit out a week or two also. That’s a lot of coin sitting on the bench when it happens.
(Trying to talk myself out of it also.)

jake · 10/05/2015 at 21:33

what do we do with CEY! im thinking Kmac to Mckenzie and vanders to glenn 350k in the bank

next week upgrade rich to rockliff and upgrade a rookie to selwood

    john · 10/05/2015 at 21:48

Trading plan looks good. Keep CEY as long as you have bench cover. Will fatten up a lot more!

    Kev · 10/05/2015 at 21:51

First trade yes, second trade no. VBerg is fine, coin left him and jumping on Glenn is not a must have rookie IMO. Look at getting Rocky in 2-3 weeks

      mattforrest8 · 12/05/2015 at 17:51

I'm going Kmac to mckenzie, then next week vandenberg to lever using the dpp of mckenzie, as long as lever scores well and vandenberg looks unlikely to hit his BE

harry · 10/05/2015 at 21:35

who should i bring in priddes, beams or selwood?
pick one

    carlashirley90 · 10/05/2015 at 21:49

    cow roll · 10/05/2015 at 22:36

    Derek · 10/05/2015 at 22:48

    Selwood, leave until byes

      harry · 10/05/2015 at 23:05

na dude i am behind in my league
      need to win this week

    @KingWinter7 · 10/05/2015 at 22:58

    The Bont · 10/05/2015 at 23:11

I'd probably go Beams. Wait a week or two on Jelwood to see how his hand affects him maybe

BCHawks · 10/05/2015 at 21:35

Rich – T.Mitchell

    Leon · 10/05/2015 at 21:37

Gives in so many ways. Flexibility and ability to slaughter forward cows. That’s the move to make

Jimmy · 10/05/2015 at 21:35

Thinking of downgrading McIntosh this week and then either upgrading Rich to goddard to downgrading Rich then double upgrade next week

    Dingo · 11/05/2015 at 13:31

    Thinking exactly the same

tom · 10/05/2015 at 21:37

what downgrade options do we have this week?

    john · 10/05/2015 at 21:53

Glenn (MID, 120k GCFC) B.E: -66 ok JS due to Injuries and suspension.
McKenzie (MID, DEF 120K Saints) B.E: -72 Good job security.

They are the noticeable ones I think.

adrian · 10/05/2015 at 21:39

Looking at holding Macintosh 1 more week. Need to trade

Newton to McKenzie

Hogan to bont

with $516 left in the kitty. Thoughts community?

    Kev · 10/05/2015 at 21:53

Holding KMac as well, Lever looks like a fantastic option if he plays the next 2

      adrian · 11/05/2015 at 08:38

Lever looking very good to trade in!

    john · 10/05/2015 at 21:54

Is Bont the best you can do? What does your current foward line look like?

      adrian · 11/05/2015 at 08:37

I’ve got the cash to get anyone. You think I should be more aggressive and go Gray or a Goddard. Aiming to get them just thought the bont was going at a good price. Forwards are swan, Martin, Benelle, bont, Tarrant, Salem, Clarke, saad

        Swans2012 · 11/05/2015 at 09:05

Gray! Certain lock as no 1 forward imo! The bont is good but I think will hover around his price range so no rush.

Rick · 10/05/2015 at 21:42

Mcintosh to mckenzie

Lonie to T. mitchell…..

I swapped mitchell into the midfield with lambert going into my forward bench.Put mitchell on field and heeny on bench. Then when lewis comes back my midfield will be all set with Fyfe, Sloane, Watson, Griffen, Parker, Lewis, Mitchell (looks to be a keeper), trading in rockliff next week.

And the only upgrades I need to do in the forward line are Hogan and Tarrant but they still have cash to make.

Don · 10/05/2015 at 21:47

Thoughts on Tom Mitchell's job security?

    Scott · 10/05/2015 at 21:51

Looks good, Heeney out 4-6 with a posterior injury according to the coach in his post match interview.

    mattforrest8 · 10/05/2015 at 21:58

should be good for at least the next six weeks due to heeney's injury. hopefully in that time he can lock a spot down

Charlesy · 10/05/2015 at 21:47

I wish I could move on mc Intosh but with Lewis already on my mids bench and possibly Selwood and Sloane to join him this week I may leave the backs and forwards as is and move out heeney and Ellis yolman just to avoid two donuts. Thoughts community ?

    mattforrest8 · 10/05/2015 at 21:59

selwoods been cleared of a broken hand, worst case scenario is a burst blood vessel, which wont keep him out

    Crowmagnon · 11/05/2015 at 17:09

If you trade heeney to MacKenzie, you can cover a mid this week, then get rid of one of you defence rookies next week and swing him back. Win win.

Adzy · 10/05/2015 at 21:52

whats your thoughts on this guys,
Heeney – Glenn
K.Mack – Mckenzie

leaves me with 300 for next week to downgrade a rookie and throw in a super premo??

    WombatsFC · 10/05/2015 at 22:02

Hi Adzy, Heeney to McKenzie is probably a wiser move as it opens the swing for saad and any other mid/def, this will be gold at bye time.
Kmac is in tigers best 22 and as long as he can walk he will play, he is much greater value to your team than Glenn who may not play 5 for the year. If you trade kmac before the byes it should be for a premo or for a rookie who looks like playing all year

      Rayzaray · 10/05/2015 at 22:20

Good to here from you Wombat.

      throttlefinger · 11/05/2015 at 09:14

Agree with the almighty Wombats. Also you can save Kmac for Lever when he becomes ripe. A little more expensive but like Tarrant is hit the park strong his first outing.

      Adzy · 11/05/2015 at 22:09

      thanks for that bud

Jacko · 10/05/2015 at 21:53

Vandenberg- Shiel
Hogan- Rookie ?

    john · 10/05/2015 at 21:56

Anyway you can swap Hogan into the middle to? Glenn or McKenzie both great downgrade options.

      Jacko · 10/05/2015 at 22:03

      Why not upgrade early?

    @KingWinter7 · 10/05/2015 at 22:56

Too early to trade out Vandenberg…

Trade Hogan out via a mid dpp to Mckenzie and someone else out for Glenn

    Next week double upgrade

tom · 10/05/2015 at 21:58

is Glenn still a good donwgrade option?

    john · 10/05/2015 at 22:01

Watch the teams.. Many people to come back into the Gold Coasts side.

    @KingWinter7 · 10/05/2015 at 22:46

    If named yes, otherwise no

SuperCoach Kid · 10/05/2015 at 21:59

I still think Hogan is good to keep, call me stupid, but the kid can play and is only getting better, im thinking of holding even though the high BE

im thinking Lewis > to TMac and then Henney > to Dmac in the middle

    @KingWinter7 · 10/05/2015 at 22:47

You'd be stupid to trade Lewis now

      PADP · 10/05/2015 at 23:30

LEWIS. Yes do the trade and make a huge idiot of yourself. Go on, back your gut and I bet you don't

    SideBySidebottom · 13/05/2015 at 22:56

Agree with you on Hogan. My trading plans have him at F7/8 at the end of the season.

the sprinkler · 10/05/2015 at 22:00

Problem with Titch is not his game its his attitude- the kid thinks he's top sh1t and unfortunately for him thats not the case and also that attitude doesnt belong in a 'mature' and 'professional' club like Sydney.

The kid needs to eat humble pie- or maybe he already has and thats why he is playing now.

Theres certainly a spot for him now that Heeney is out- but remember when Heeney was in there was NO spot for Titch which leads me to believe that he still has an attitude problem and hence problably a keeper issue.

Doesnt matter if you get 80 touches in a B grade comp…… no-one likes a smart ar5e. So Titch has 4-6 weeks to be a bit more humble and just focus on training…. but like a turtle- if he doesnt pull his head in it will ineitably get cut off.

    Poloko48 · 10/05/2015 at 22:06

to keep on the turtle analogy sprinkler, I'm avoiding him so my head doesn't get chopped off when he doesn't perform to Horse's liking defensively and gets dropped in a couple of weeks. Waste of a trade in my opinion, he hasn't proved anything yet.

    WombatsFC · 10/05/2015 at 22:12

That's a fairly harsh appraisal Sprinkler. The kid chose to stay in Sydney where he is a public nobody and struggling to get into a team where he is the in the lowest 10% when it comes to salary. If he was all about himself he would have taken the big dollars offered by Carlton where he'd win their Best and Fairest, be a celebrity whenever he went out and be paid double his Sydney income.
He HAD an issue with not being defensively aware and if he hasn't already proven that he's overcome it he will before anybody at Sydney can take his place.
Claims of selfishness or a non team attitude are rubbish.

      rexxy IV · 10/05/2015 at 22:25

      bottom 10%????????
rumuors are he is on a ridiculous 600K and that comes from discussions about him on sen last year, talk about what his worth and whether he would actually get offered more than this 600K elsewhere and why would he leave.
      maybe look into it.
yes he has defensive issues but maybe look at the tackle counts of other swans players. his defensive issues have nothing to do with why heeney after 1 year is already playing.
and there has been talk about his selfish attitude so i wouldnt say they are rubbish.

        WombatsFC · 11/05/2015 at 09:43

Hmm. Buddy on a mil and Tippett supposedly similar. McVeigh, Parker, Jack et al are in a top pay bracket and Sydney are under the spotlight for salary expenditure by every club and the AFL. YET some think that they pay a 'selfish, non team focused' bloke $600k p/season to sit in the two's rather than trade him for a draft pick. That seems highly unlikely.

      the sprinkler · 10/05/2015 at 22:34

Wombats- if you google Tom Mitchell Salary you'll find it says he gets paid over 400K. When Carlton and others spoke about trading for him most were surprised to find it was closer to 600K. And Carlton wasnt the only team to speak to him. And yes players salarys do get publi attention.

There was plenty of talk about the ridiculous close to 600K he is on for basically a non-player.

        nathan · 11/05/2015 at 08:35

I guess he’s never really worked on his defensive game much
Considering its hard to defend when you have ball in hand

      r2d2 · 10/05/2015 at 22:44

      Spot on wombat

      Mike · 11/05/2015 at 13:28

    Tophawk · 10/05/2015 at 22:50

Tom Mitchell might be "cocky" but he can play football. That's all I look at. And what I am seeing are scores of 114 and 125 SC points over the last 2 rounds. Now that Heeney is out with an injury, Titch might just find his mojo.

      Red Fox · 11/05/2015 at 01:27

      Swans2012 · 11/05/2015 at 09:10

WILL be a regular in the swans team now, might even justify his wage in the next couple of years.

      Marco_Polo94 · 11/05/2015 at 10:49

He should have been starting ahead of Heeney from the get go. The guy is a an absolute GUN and I don't see him giving his spot up. I'm bringing him in this week. The way i see it is he averages around 100, and even if for some stupid reason he loses his spot when Heeney comes back I'll have made some money and i move him up to a premo forward/mid. I don't see a losing scenario to be honest.

conor · 10/05/2015 at 22:07

Hold or trade swallow?

daddyotoole · 10/05/2015 at 22:21

Barlow, Stevie J or Parker?

    @KingWinter7 · 10/05/2015 at 22:45

I'd say Barlow but i'm not really sure of any tbh

I'd be jumping on players like JPK, Priddis, Selwood etc….

      Patrick(Gab) Bullock · 10/05/2015 at 22:58

im with king winter on this one, theres plenty of value on them 3, wont see them much cheaper than that all year

    SideBySidebottom · 13/05/2015 at 23:01

Can;t see any in the top ten mids.

matt · 10/05/2015 at 22:21

who to trade out first MCINTOSH or HEENY

    tom · 10/05/2015 at 22:24

    @KingWinter7 · 10/05/2015 at 22:44

    Heeney 100%

Alex · 10/05/2015 at 22:23

how often can you say this! I will soon be downgrading Cripps to Rockliff.

    Belch 59, Hogan 77, Mcintosh 33.

Jack · 10/05/2015 at 22:35

How many trades should we have by the time the byes come in?

    PADP · 10/05/2015 at 23:32

    At least 22.

    Danners16 · 11/05/2015 at 15:30

It depends, I'm going in a bit risky, but I should have a full premo team and 13 trades left in the bank before the byes come around

Patrick(Gab) Bullock · 10/05/2015 at 22:38

would say about 17-20 into byes, and end byes at 10

@KingWinter7 · 10/05/2015 at 22:42

Communities thoughts on Eddie Betts please…

Is he the real deal??? One of the best forwards this season and only 466k, averaging 106

    Sarah · 11/05/2015 at 09:35

Love him and love the way he's getting stints through the midfield this year. If Walsh keeps playing him through there he'll be a fantastic POD!!

      Scott · 11/05/2015 at 18:16

I agree I've been looking at him, but was worried about inconsistency, but if he keeps getting a run on the ball I think he will reward your faith.

Yeah i'd jump on. A definite lock comes season end

    judd0 · 10/05/2015 at 23:01

I just asked the same question, I don't think we have.
Your still getting a premium keeper for 525ish K. I strongly believe he will be a top 6 FWD this year so we want him.
I can't see him dropping this low for the rest of the season.

min0008 · 10/05/2015 at 22:45

Heeney to McKenzie
Hogan to Tom Mitchell

    @KingWinter7 · 10/05/2015 at 23:00

Very likely to be my trades this week

    Marco_Polo94 · 11/05/2015 at 10:51

McIntosh to McKenzie, Hogan to Titch for me too.

mcleal10 · 10/05/2015 at 22:49

I bought in Dahlhaus last week. Chose him over Goddard, unlucky, but hopefully beats him long term. This week I'm thinking of going Hogan to Mitchell or Gray.

Option 1: McIntosh to McKenzie and Hogan to T.Mitchell.
Option 2: McIntosh to McDonald

If Sloane is set for surgery, Should I bring in T.Mitchell, Hanneberry, Neale, Johnson, Beams or maybe Treloar?

    @KingWinter7 · 10/05/2015 at 23:02

Someone to Mckenzie (not KMac, someone like Heeney, NVB etc….)
    Hogan to Gray

    AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 11/05/2015 at 01:08

judd0 · 10/05/2015 at 22:59

Do we think it's really to late for Goddard?
I think he will be a top 6 FWD this year which means you want to get him.
He is still 12k lower than his starting price, basically I will be getting him in this year, is now still a good time? I couldn't fit him in last week.
He will probably not be this cheap for the rest of the season.
What do we think?

    @KingWinter7 · 10/05/2015 at 23:05

Jump on now! Definite lock comes end of season….
Don't worry about his last price rise

Think about it, paying about 535k for a premium forward you won't need to worry about for the rest of the year and will average 100+ is not a bad price.

      Swans2012 · 11/05/2015 at 09:11

Just do it! Lock away your obvious forward keepers.

Stickman · 10/05/2015 at 23:18

Nicholas · 10/05/2015 at 23:54

Hey community just wondering about the best fallen premos and best rookies in each position this week are. I am trying to think of ways to get rid of either kmac, heeney and hogan. I probs am keeping hogan as i have 5 premos in the forward line so im think kmac to rookie in defence and heener up. I have the st kilda defender alrdy tho and 100k in bank.
Thanks for the help

    jezzahill · 12/05/2015 at 13:57

Injuries have dictated that we hold KMac this week. Given that you have McKenzie already, you can probably hold KMac for another week and see if Jake Lever from the Crows plays again. If he does, then move KMac on next week for Lever. Heeney is a 4-6 week injury and so he's not worth holding. I really think Hogan needs to go this week, his BE is 77 and he might not get that against the Hawks.

Therefore, I would propose these two trades:
Heeney to Josh Glenn from the Gold Coast. On the bubble this week but job security isn't concrete so buyer beware.

If you have another mid rookie you can swing to your fwds (eg: Krak), then I would do so as this allows you to make a trade up to a premo midfielder. Guys I would be looking at are Selwood, Beams, JPK, Priddis, Goddard, etc. Some of these guys (JPK and Priddis) have bottomed out and some are still losing money (Selwood, Beams), but will be in your side for the rest of the year.

    Hope this helps!

Hi guys thoughts on my trades this week.
I'm planning on trading hogan out and getting mckenzie in via dpp, then trading vandenburg to goddard.
This gives me swing sets fwd mid and def mid and leaves me 22 trades.

    Youngster · 11/05/2015 at 12:29

    I like it Caz.

Tulendeena · 11/05/2015 at 06:55

Newton > McKenzie
Hogan > Bont

    Cozza · 11/05/2015 at 12:01

Newton > Mckenzie looks good. Are you expecting Bont to be a keeper? If not, I'd go with someone like Franklin/Goddard instead. If Bont is in your top 6 forward for the year though, then go for it.

    Danners16 · 11/05/2015 at 15:27

    Sounds good

    jezzahill · 12/05/2015 at 13:59

Better options out there than the Bont at this stage. Goddard for mine.

Nick · 11/05/2015 at 07:11

Does anyone know when lambert will be returning from injury?

    Derek · 11/05/2015 at 08:49

Great question. When he comes back he will got straight into tigers team

      Cozza · 11/05/2015 at 12:00

You sure about that? he's a first year player who has had a long stint on the sidelines with injury – I would be expecting him to come back through VFL to get some match fitness. That said, Tigers may be in such a state of chaos at the time they throw caution to the wind!

AFL website lists him as 3-5 weeks still.

Nathan · 11/05/2015 at 07:50

Great podcast again boys. I feel like my scoring could be severely increased by going the 1 trade this week in Rich to Fyfe.

My current mids are- Pendlebury, Neale, Beams, Sloane, Parker, Cripps, Miller (Vandenberg, CEY, Mckenzie)

Warchest total is at 274k and going with this 1 trade would leave me with 18k. Thoughts everyone?

    Leon · 11/05/2015 at 08:09

Liam · 11/05/2015 at 08:11

Is heeney to mckenzie a good trade??

    throttlefinger · 11/05/2015 at 08:25

I think so, Liam. Better than Glenn. And gives you a nice DEF/MID swing to give you nice coverage. Could be handy come byes.

        throttlefinger · 11/05/2015 at 22:20

Very true. But there are others who have DPP status and don't have rd 12 byes. Don't know everyone's side, Virgin, but assume many don't have Newnes. (hand raised) Point being, if you had needed to fortify you have the option. Just making another point to the merits of adding McK.

    derek · 11/05/2015 at 09:17

I didn't watch the game on the weekend, but Jock is pretty happy with McKenzie's JS. If he is named this week, I would be putting him in.

I still have one eye on Whitecross. He has fallen in price (still to expensive). Not sure what his BE is, but I'm thinking he might drop abit more and I honestly think that the hawks have him in the longer term plans, just getting some game time into him now. he might drop to $180k and if there is no-ne else to downgrade out defence rookies to, keep him on your watch list for later in the year.

Morse · 11/05/2015 at 08:15

funniest podcast I have ever heard boys, shear brilliant comedy…..

What about Hogan Jock, K McIntosh will still make a little money this week but likely Hogan will drop?

    derek · 11/05/2015 at 09:07

Melbourne have Hawks, Dogs & port next three.

Both Hogan and Vandenberg will struggle. More likely to get a decent score from Vandenberg.

      Morse · 11/05/2015 at 09:27

Totally agree Derek, good to see someone else on the same line of thinking…

T Mitchellson a must have trade in this week imo, has proved he is keen as mustard to get back into the squad and stay there, ran hard all day and lifted his defensive pressure which is what they wanted to see. Will end up top 8 FWD this season and that is enough for me to BLOODY LOCK…

Who are your trade in targets this week if any Derek?

throttlefinger · 11/05/2015 at 08:24

PURE GOLD. Put that one in the time capsule and let that Mum's Day classic to be savored through the annals of time.

Still not sold on Titch. Those who've never gone 15+ games seem a big, big risk. Also, Dees and Doggies aren't the toughest teams. I could be wrong but seems last year's logic applies…pay the extra coin to bring in Parker.

    derek · 11/05/2015 at 09:05

Swans midfield depth is too strong for Mitchell to get consistent high scores.

but he is a great price

      throttlefinger · 11/05/2015 at 09:16

Going back and forth about that, D. Parker seems the wiser pick but I'll need to give up my mid swing to get Parker in (using Hogan).

Is Parker worth the extra $72K? Thinking so at this point. Again, guys who haven't gone a full season make me nervous.

        Sarah · 11/05/2015 at 09:40

Mitchell looks like a great pick but the guy has still only played 22 games, has poor JS and a bad injury history. He also burnt me last year when I should've gone Parker. As good as he looks right now, I won't be trading him in.

          Throttlefinger · 11/05/2015 at 10:10

Unlikely I will be either, Sarah. Too many ?s.

      Morse · 11/05/2015 at 09:29

similar except I will K.Mcintosh to McKenzie.

Mitchellson has to be a lock in any forward line I would have thought?

        Cozza · 11/05/2015 at 11:57

I wouldn't say he's a lock – too many question marks – JS, injury, consistency, etc. Horse did not speak glowingly of him after the game again this week, although he did say "hopefully he can start stringing the games together now, as he's been able to do with the training sessions". Not sure what to read into that, particularly where he said "hopefully" – maybe a reference to injuries??

Andy · 11/05/2015 at 08:41

My plan is trading Heeney to McKenzie then Rich to JPK. I’m holding McKintosh for another week but he is likely the next to go out of my team. I’m not overly concerned about my defenders as they’ve been so unpredictable this year.

I’m going for the 50K this year (currently ranked 380) so every trade I do is considered heavily but I don’t think I can go wrong with JPK.

    derek · 11/05/2015 at 09:03

JPK is top 8 midfielder for sure. Lock him in.

    jezzahill · 12/05/2015 at 14:03

Good trades, JPK has bottomed out and you won't get him any cheaper.

sp · 11/05/2015 at 09:02

Jack Steven? Shane Edwards? both good, both cheap. potential upgrade targets?

    throttlefinger · 11/05/2015 at 09:17

Edwards is over $500K so not really cheap. Would be chasing the car a bit. And I think Edwards is at his max. Not sure if he'll be maintaining those sort of scores.

      sp · 11/05/2015 at 09:24

      what about Jack Steven?

        throttlefinger · 11/05/2015 at 23:05

Agree with Danners. Still time to bring in Stevens if your R12-ers aren't too heavy.

    Danners16 · 11/05/2015 at 15:27

I like the look of Jack Steven if you don't have too many round 12 bye mid premos. Edwards I think you can watch go by

      throttlefinger · 11/05/2015 at 23:05

Hey Danners! Great win by our boys on Saturday. Got up early just to watch…and was rewarded.

        Danners16 · 12/05/2015 at 12:55

Yeah it was, I couldn't watch it as I was working, but it seems like JC is back at his best!

tom · 11/05/2015 at 09:03

who needs to go first?

Ellis-Yolmen, Vandenberg, Hogan, McIntosh?

downgraded Heeney to McKenzie and need to upgrade one of the above

    Morse · 11/05/2015 at 09:30

    Hogan and McIntosh

    jezzahill · 12/05/2015 at 14:05

    In this order:

Hogan, McIntosh, Vandenberg. Hold CEY for now.

Marty · 11/05/2015 at 09:10

@Higgo. In regard to holding your rookies until first bye aren't you relying on 3 good rookies to be on the bubble right on time for first bye round? That isn't going to happen. You'll miss the boat on too many good rookies I think.

@Jock. I think Crouching One is right in bringing in DMac into the mids, as I will. If Kmac is ready to move on next week you can always trade him, then shift Dmac to defence and bring in a mid (up or down) then. Use the DPPs to your advantage if only for a week.

nathan · 11/05/2015 at 09:19

Great podcast once again jock and co

So my side if finally scoring something with being somewhat happy with

Selwood Parker and griff all seemed to be up and about this week

I need only one mid to have a full strength midfield

Do I grab Goddard for my forward line which is weak as all shit and that way I’m waiting for a Slone or rockliff after the byes

or do I grab beams Neale or Barlow type for my mids who are pretty low priced now?

Cheers guys

    sp · 11/05/2015 at 09:27

    Lauchy Neale, get him in

    Crowmagnon · 11/05/2015 at 18:43

With only 1 mid spot remaining, I would save it for rocky. If you trade Goddard into your mid you can swing him forward to make room for rocky when the time is right.

      nathan · 12/05/2015 at 06:42

      Thanks mate
Yeah thats what im going to do im goping rocky and slone drop to 400k

Swans2012 · 11/05/2015 at 09:20

Finally things coming together, clawed my way into the top 5k this week with a 2235 after being outside 20k after 2 rounds. For me this week I think it’s mckenzie in for heeney and then hogan up to T Mitchell. Might consider a midfield upgrade but not keen on any of this weeks value options as top 8 mids.

derek · 11/05/2015 at 09:32

I've got this "friend' who has Travis Cloke in their team. (I would be to embarrassed to tell anyone). I have….errrr I mean he has put up with him from round 1, and only had him there because he was $300 short from affording The Bont. I was hoping for a Bryuen manouver. Should I just hold, he hasn't actually lost any coin and hope he starts to kick straight, or decide it was a poor idea and move on

Currently ranked 2901 with 26 trades left & $15k in bank.

DEF: Shaw, Simpson, Ibbotson, KK, Newnes, McIntosh, Oxley Godard
MID: Pendlebury, Fyfe, JPK, Griffin, SMitchell, Vandenberg, Cripps, Miller, CEY, Saad, Krak
RUCK: Goldy, TBC, Read.
Forwards: Gray, Goddard, Martin, Swan, Cloke, Tarrent, Hogan, Clark

1: Sideways Cloke to TMitchell.
2: Hogan >>>> McKenzie (via Goddard) & TBC >>> Sauce
3: Hoagn >>>>Mckenzie & Vandenberg >>> Selwood.

    Swans2012 · 11/05/2015 at 09:51

Tough, As you say cloke not losing money and surely at some point he bangs out a score and goes up at least 50k. I think the same can be said for tbc, not going backwards and he might just bang out a 90 or 100 and make us 50k as well. Sauce still has a high break even 130 odd. Selwood break even of 159 so feels a week or so early on him too. Hate saying it but maybe downgrade hogan and hold. i think if your trading cloke it would have to be up to a rolled gold forward or midfield type not another speculative pick

      derek · 11/05/2015 at 10:47

thanks Swans, good advice to just hold for now. Only made 4 trades this year, starting to get inchy fingers.

plan was to hold Cloke and trade up to Buddy during the byes. Was hoping Cloke may have increased by now and Buddy fallen a bit more, maybe i'll wait it out and stick to original plan.

same with TBC, was hoping for a bit more increase and trade into a fallen premium by now.

they have both sort of done their job without stinking it up.

        Swans2012 · 11/05/2015 at 11:05

want your thoughts on best trade this week
1 Luenberger to grundy
heeney to d Mckenzie OR

2 Leunberger to T Mitchell (via TBC swing)
heeney to D Mckenzie

    derek · 11/05/2015 at 11:27

I like the Heeney to McKenzie trade.

Not sure either grundy or Mitchell are A graders.

After the first trade, how much cash will you have.

For an extra $60k you could get Sauce, Mummy or Maric or for $10k less you could get Nic Nat or Sandilands……all proven A graders.

Franklin is now dropped to $481k, you could be getting him instead of the other two.

      murray · 11/05/2015 at 12:53

Derek will have $135k after first trade and $468K to spend. I could take Sandi or Nic Nat in the ruck or a Pavlich in fwd line. Buddy is out of range. I think I like the ruck option, thanks

I understand that Armitage is playing sensationally but I find it very hard to believe he will be a top 6 midfielder come year's end. Surely there are some fallen premos you can pick up? Who have you got in your midfield?
The Bont will probably be a top fwd so good choice there.

      Micky G · 11/05/2015 at 14:01

Got Fyfe, Kennedy, Pendlebury, Selwood, Swallow, Cripps and the usual rookies.
Had a look at Armitages numbers tho, very similar to Pendlebury. He’s been on an upwards trajectory last couple of years, he could be this years Gray/Parker and kill it from out of nowhere

        Danners16 · 11/05/2015 at 15:25

Agree with Zeesus, although he doesn't have to be a top 6 midfielder to get far. Wouldn't look at Armitage. Priddis, Ward, Shiel, Boak are better options. Looking for a POD? Boyd is doing well in his new defensive role

          Scott · 11/05/2015 at 18:25

Why not consider Mundy or Neale?

    jezzahill · 12/05/2015 at 22:55

Back yourself in Micky, if you think Armitage can elevate himself into the elite bracket this year then I say go for it, he's a solid POD at the moment with people looking at other options. Doesn't really cop a tag so that will help his scoring, but the fact that the Saints will still cop some floggings this year mean he may have some quieter games.

Pinidu.C · 11/05/2015 at 10:25

Should I trade Rich to a premium this week or wait for Rockliff to come down even further? His current price is 490K and has BE of 199. My other trade this week is Heeney > McKenzie leaving me with 350K in the bank. Who is the best option out of Mundy, Priddis, Sloane, Heppel, Hanners, Neale and Goddard? Thanks community for all your help.

    Micky G · 11/05/2015 at 10:36

Sloanes scores have dropped since Thompson came back in and he may miss a few.
That swans midfield is going to be a lucky dip on who goes big, a lot of firepower.
Mundy been killing it across half back, solid pick.
Priddis will give ya the same week in week out.
Neale just runs around by himself, will keep racking up the touches.
And if ur going a bombers mid then Jobe will be the best of them by seasons end.

    derek · 11/05/2015 at 11:06

don't get just anyone into your team because that is who you can afford. Look at who is in your "final team' and pick them up when they are available at a good price.

Sloane was never in my final team, so I didn't get him in. Priddis is at M7 for me, so I would be looking at him this week. Goddard was, so he came in last week. Just stick to your plan.

My Final Team Mids: Gaz, Rocky, Fyfe, Pendlebury, JPK, Selwood, Priddis, Griffin

      Micky G · 11/05/2015 at 14:18

Surely you have to be flexible tho? I agree it’s good to have a plan but footy changes week in week out. If ya harness urself with just that set midfield for the year, start to finish, then ya miss out on players like Gray and Parker from last year.

        SideBySidebottom · 13/05/2015 at 23:42

Averages are averages for a reason. I take the same approach as Derek. Ignore the early bolters.

Kevin · 11/05/2015 at 10:27

Hey guys should I trade Sloane ???

    jacob · 11/05/2015 at 10:38

What to see what happens with the scans to day. If he’s cleared of a fracture he won’t miss any footy so hold him. If there is a fracture hell be out for 4-6 so you’d probably want to move him on.

      northernsoul74 · 11/05/2015 at 10:52

Think I'll have to hold Sloane. Too much of a loss to lock in now.

    Marco_Polo94 · 11/05/2015 at 11:44

    I'm holding regardless.

zeesus · 11/05/2015 at 10:32

What is going on with Brodie Smith? Someone.. please…

    derek · 11/05/2015 at 11:34

    what is his BE?

      zeesus · 11/05/2015 at 11:38

      128. The kid is going to drop below 400k. It's a travesty!

        derek · 11/05/2015 at 11:54

I havn't watched any Crows games this year, I heard he was playing on the wing the first two games and then got a thump in the head. Thompson has come back to the team, has Smith's role changed from the first two weeks?

I was keen to get him in after week 2, held off and will snap him up around $400k for sure.

          zeesus · 11/05/2015 at 12:22

agreed. I'll be picking him up in the next few weeks. Just nervous he might continue to score low.. we'll see.

            derek · 11/05/2015 at 12:28

I think he will be near top 8 defenders for the year. Not much between the top 8 to the next 8 either. he should be ok.

          jacob · 11/05/2015 at 13:27

Hes still playing on a wing. No role change with Thompson coming back in, just a bit of concussion hangover I reckon.

            NateCrows · 11/05/2015 at 13:29

His kicking efficiency has been shithouse. I have him, wish i could get him this cheap

              zeesus · 12/05/2015 at 11:15

Strange that both Parker and Brodie Smith copped concussions and then battled with poor efficiency for quite a few weeks. They are usually both pretty good. If Parker is now hitting form hopefully Brodie will as well.. wishful thinking

                SideBySidebottom · 13/05/2015 at 23:44

That's historically normal for post concussion trauma recoveries,

Marco_Polo94 · 11/05/2015 at 11:04

I haven't laughed that hard in a while absolutely classic pod this week. Wiping the tears from my eyes on the way to work after the dumplings chat. Will be trading in either Titch or Stevie J this week for Hogan… and at the moment its Titch by a whisker! Reckon it will be hard for Heeney to find his way back into the team with Tommy tearing it up.

Snake Martin · 11/05/2015 at 11:38

Thoughts on a Griffen to Rockcliff trade?

It's a little sideways and sexy I know, however Rocky is at rock bottom pricing and looks to be turning with a comfortable 97 last weekend.

Midfield would then be : Fyfe, Pendles, Jelwood, Danger, Gray, Rocky, Cripps, Vanberg, (CEY, Heeny, C Smith)

    Marco_Polo94 · 11/05/2015 at 11:41

Just hold mate, Rockliff is not at rock bottom price yet. He has a monster break even of 199 still

    Marco_Polo94 · 11/05/2015 at 11:43

Also, if that is your midfield for Round 11 bye you have Danger, Rocky, Cripps, CEY and Smith all who will score you 0 that weekend. Something to keep in mind.

    Mighty_Hondo · 11/05/2015 at 18:53

SC Gold projections suggest next week you could swap Cripps for Rocky. Although Cripps may end up being a keeper in his own right. I'll be interested to see Rocky's BE next week. May look to trade him on 2 weeks. (like every other punter)

    SideBySidebottom · 13/05/2015 at 23:47

Griffen to Rockliff is an upgrade, not a sideways trade but the time isn't right just yet.

Redd · 11/05/2015 at 11:46

Got a few options this week. I think the Kamdyn to Mckenzie trade is just about a given but then it gets interesting. Can eitha go Hogan to Titch, Swallow or Rich to Pendles or the SPUD himself Kade Simpson to Tom Mcdonald. Any 1 know why Kade didnt play? Did mick finally drop that spine less blue?

    Sarah · 11/05/2015 at 11:56

Word is it was a tight calf that kept Simpson out.

    SCOTLAND THE BRAVE · 11/05/2015 at 15:15

What about mini Kouta? Him and Cripps and a couple of others only ones having a go. Avg over 100 – DPP and 100% JS?

    SideBySidebottom · 13/05/2015 at 23:47

    That's harsh Redd.

Pinidu,C · 11/05/2015 at 11:48

Big Question!

Matthew Prddis or Josh .P. Kennedy?
Brownlow medalist vs Son of a Gun

    Luviboy1 · 11/05/2015 at 11:54

Both are valid options. Priddis a tad cheaper and a bit of a POD.

    derek · 11/05/2015 at 11:56

get both. Priddis has a great run of games coming up, JPK is a gun. I have JPK in team now but thinking serious about pridis this week.

      Pinidu.c · 11/05/2015 at 13:01

Derek, how does your team look now?

        SideBySidebottom · 13/05/2015 at 23:48

    SC Virgin · 11/05/2015 at 22:43

Why is there no love for Ebert? Cheap for his avg.

derek · 11/05/2015 at 11:50

Word of warning for people doing Loopholes.

If you have non-player in your team, and you put them on your field to use the loophole, just be very careful with late outs.

For example, if you had Goddard on field and Oxley on your bench with E. You are happy with Oxley's score so you leave McIntosh on your bench but don't put a E on (because you will then get the lower of the two E). Later on you find out that Simpson is out of the team, it is too late to get E on McIntosh to cover Simpson, so you take a donut!

I don't think there is anyway around this?

    Youngster · 11/05/2015 at 12:39

No way around it Derek, it's the risk you take when trying to extract every last point out of your team. As the season wears on, accumulated injuries and soreness etc. mean more plays are touch and go leading up to the bounce and you can easily expose yourself. Teams won't advertise the extent or likelihood of late outs, preferring to throw the opposition at the last possible moment.

      derek · 11/05/2015 at 12:50

I was ok last weekend, had Simpson covered, but round 2 I took a donut when Sam Mitchell was a late out and I could have had CEY's 98SC points. I would be in the top 1,000 now if I had those points. too stressful!

        SideBySidebottom · 13/05/2015 at 23:53

Get the footy alert app Derek.

Rick Grimes · 11/05/2015 at 11:56

If Sloane is out for more than a week I'm seriously looking at trading him. Can't afford to have a premium in and out of the team stinking it up with 65s.

    northernsoul74 · 11/05/2015 at 13:21

Its tough but I'd counter that you can't keep trading out premiums every time they pick up an injury. Especially one that has already lost so much cash. You'll never get your team upgraded and run out of trades.

    NateCrows · 11/05/2015 at 13:21

If you have that mindset you will have no trades left by round 13

      Rick Grimes · 11/05/2015 at 13:53

I've hardly traded because I aced my rookies. I want to win the cash and would rather blow out trying to win it than cower in the corner like a lot of players do. Some incredibly cautious players on here afraid to trade unless someone holds their hand.

        NateCrows · 11/05/2015 at 14:00

        Nah. I'm not conservative.
I just mean depending on the injury you have to hold some and get premos in for the cows. If you sideways for injuries unless your lucky you will blow out quick. If you have heaps of trades do it. No right or wrong

        Bang bang

NateCrows · 11/05/2015 at 12:01

Bloody awesome effort again.

Those premos are nearly ready and a couple are..
Stevie J 425k thats unbelievable. Barlow, Parker…

Well I held Henney but clearly time to chop. Going to McKenzie.

I still have Hogan and VDB I could bring in Tommy Mitchellson in either line. Or i could go a Stevie J in the guts.
Or i could just keep them. Not ranked great currently, that's why trading doesn't bother me I need scores and a POD. No good getting a POD that's not scoring though.

Youngster · 11/05/2015 at 12:27

Always a tough call but you need $$ badly. You could get D McKenzie in, maybe for Heeney via Saad swing. Whatever you do, you need to get some $$ for an upgrade somewhere. TBC will be hurting you as your R2…

I N Pieman · 11/05/2015 at 12:28

Did Dex write on Slaone?

    S · 11/05/2015 at 22:28

Maybe it was a draft which never got published?

jacob · 11/05/2015 at 12:41

Thought on Matt Priddis. Price has bottomed out and he is a massive POD. If sloanes cheek shows a fracture I’ll be going Sloane to Priddis.

    NateCrows · 11/05/2015 at 12:42

Well that's dumb. Move on your rookies not the premos

      jacob · 11/05/2015 at 13:10

Well its not Dumb if Sloanes out for 4-6 with a fractured cheekbone like reports are suggesting….. Do you even AFL?

        LoopyHermit · 11/05/2015 at 13:14

wheres that report coming from? I havent heard anything about sloanes cheek being 4-6.

        NateCrows · 11/05/2015 at 13:15

Dumb. Actually trade him. better POD for me.
Since when does a cheek keep you out for 6.

          jacob · 11/05/2015 at 13:29

If its fractured it does. But if your not convinced write into the Herald Sun and tell them that you know more about footy injuries than they do.

            NateCrows · 11/05/2015 at 13:37

He hasn't even had scans yet…..

They are media… They sensationalise everything
You will know by the end of today. I would keep him, but not if it's 6 weeks.. That's a massive exaggeration.

If you don't want him on the bench trade him. Parker, Priddis, Stevie J are all cheap.

              jacob · 11/05/2015 at 13:42

I understand that and that's why Priddis to Sloane is only a hypothetical trade that I am thinking of if scans confirm the worst for Sloane. I badly want to keep Sloane, but my initial question was if he is out for over 4 weeks is Priddis a good option.

                NateCrows · 11/05/2015 at 16:02

well you need an apology. The supercoach gods have forsaken another.

                Bang bang

                  jacob · 11/05/2015 at 17:45

Nah no worries mate, it's a real bummer hes out for that long. I'll be looking to bring him in in round 12 after his bye for a cash cow with a round 12 or 13 bye.

vinnymac · 11/05/2015 at 12:51

Great podcast lads. Got some questions this week. Time to get rid of Rich yeah? would a straight swap to T Mitch be the go? Or look to go to a fallen premo like Rockliff or Steve J?
K mac looks done, thinking of waiting a week and going down to Lever or is there a fallen backman premo (if they even exist) under $460k that should be picked up?
Jesse hogan, should I wait a week or go up to Titch and then look to trade down either Kmac or Rich?
Any help would be appreciated.

Trade unfortunately, 4-6 weeks is just too long

NateCrows · 11/05/2015 at 16:12

Edit: Meant to reply ^^^^^

think you need to trade if it's that long.

I wanted to bring in McKenzie from Saints and Mitchellson.

Now im thinking Sloane to Priddis and Hogan to Mitchell.

If i miss McKenzie this week too late to trade Heeney for him next week?

    JustinB · 11/05/2015 at 16:22

I think if I were you, bench sloane this week and get Mckenzie in?

      NateCrows · 11/05/2015 at 16:46

      Yeah, was contemplating this too.
But, either way i will miss price change unless priddis throws up a stinker

    Roy · 11/05/2015 at 18:39

Smart thing to do if you want my two cents is bring McKenzie in for Heeney. Mitchell is a matter of personal choice IMO, I will be holding my second trade this week at this stage rather than bringing him in.
Why rush on Sloane to Priddis when Rockys BE is 199?

I'll be settling with the one trade this week at this stage bringing McKenzie in. Sloane will sit on the pine and Hogan I will trade in 1-2 weeks to Rocky for dirt cheap using Krakour for DPP

      Northernsoul74 · 11/05/2015 at 21:34

Still 327k in war chest and holding kmac one more week because of the 33 BE.

How many trades has everyone got left

@HJ_Mitch · 11/05/2015 at 20:52

Heaney out for 4-6 weeks with injury and then I suspect they will treat him with kid gloves from then on.
Based on that Mitchell has to be a keeper for the future!

    Northernsoul74 · 11/05/2015 at 21:32

I don't doubt he'll play regularly. The question is he going to be a near top 10 forward or is he worth 2 trades as a stepping stone up to a top 10 forward.

    throttlefinger · 11/05/2015 at 22:22

Not sold on the youngin yet, HJ. Don't have a lot of rules but don't trust those who haven't gone 15+ games. Potential is there. Just think spend a little more for safer options. If he were $350K, I'd lock in.

Thought's on Kieren Jack as a cheap pick up for Sloane ?

    throttlefinger · 12/05/2015 at 00:45

Think if you need to build your war chest then that's a good move, Kobra. The hope would be that he gets his average up to 105 and be a solid M7/8 for your team.

If you don't need to build your war chest, Beams or JPK would be the sound move.
