LekdogCommunity! Lekdog here with some mo’ supercoach news…

Today I wrap up round 4Β and discuss fallen premiums, defence and rookie options…

As always I’d love to hear from you as to what you would like to see in these videos, if left to me the videos will progressively get angrier as Carlton performs poorly…

Lots of love, @LekBlog.

liam · 28/04/2015 at 21:55

love it lekdog great work!

mcleal10 · 28/04/2015 at 22:00

How many trades is everyone sitting on after this round?

    AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 28/04/2015 at 22:07

I'm sitting on 22 thanks to Ablett and sidebottom…..hoping I don't have to make any over the next few weeks! Probably wont even if I have to just gut it out!

    chrissovan · 28/04/2015 at 22:07

    r2d2 · 28/04/2015 at 22:18

    Sparrow · 28/04/2015 at 22:34

    24 wasted a few :l
16 for upgrades 8 for injuries will have to keep Griffen and Newnes all year starting to worry

    Bailey · 28/04/2015 at 22:47

    25 and have 13 rookies

    PJay · 28/04/2015 at 22:49

25 if I must trade in Tarrant

    Derek · 28/04/2015 at 22:53

    I have 29.

Only trade was Gaz to JPK.

Will do Lamb to Taz this week.

    min0008 · 29/04/2015 at 01:16

    rosco_peco · 29/04/2015 at 08:38

25 and have had to deal with Rockliff, Ablett, Bartel, and Wines

    judd0 · 29/04/2015 at 12:51

    27 after this week.

    Rawkus11 · 29/04/2015 at 14:50

I feel good with 27 after seeing the other comments!

    Bec · 29/04/2015 at 18:56

Still have 29… but am considering Krak this week as a corrective.

Nicholas · 28/04/2015 at 22:01

worth going tbc to franklin and lambert to tarrant alrdy have krak and my scores could be a bit higher.

    randomcliche · 29/04/2015 at 00:11

    Yes. Actually, hell Yes.

    Danners16 · 29/04/2015 at 12:51

Depends what you're using TBC for, I'm using him as a backup ruck via swing sets. If he isn't a backup ruck, I would it is a good trade

#fyfeislife · 28/04/2015 at 22:02

Good stuff lekdog.
I have a question for you. If our rookies are flying, you have 280,000 in the bank your teams doing real well. What do we do with Newnes?? I still want to have have money so I can pick up the best underpreforming premos at the byes.
Please help mate
Community your thoughts to?

    LEKD0G · 28/04/2015 at 22:30

I'm holding him but I would totally understand going to an Enright, Taylor, Houli, Hibberd etc

    SCaddict · 28/04/2015 at 22:34

If you are going to get rid of Newnes, as I will probably do, I reckon you need to go down to either a Kelly (Crows) or WhiteX. Partly to make some bank to pick off fallen elites in the weeks to come and partly because our premo defenders are a mess right now.

It's just too difficult at this stage to pick who the top 6 defenders will be this season to sideways Newnes with any level of comfort. Brodie Smith may be one but has a BE of 153 so will be much cheaper in a fortnight.

Hibbo would perhaps be one you could snap up right now but even he's had disappointing games this season with a less than stellar 81 average. Although he does seem to be building his form up with every passing game.

      midzy · 29/04/2015 at 18:33

im going newnes to hibberd, sounds logical, not falling for the tall men down back just yet, although hurley looks mighty tempting

    Dunc · 30/04/2015 at 14:08

All backs have been inconsistent this year. He is in about 30% of teams still so I would just cop the monetary loss and save the trade. By the end of the year I still think he will average 80-85 which is ok.

Sam · 28/04/2015 at 22:04

How do you use DPP to get in tarrent for heeney?

    Mark · 28/04/2015 at 22:10

Swinging someone from forward line into the midfield e.g) krakouer or swan

    Jimmy · 28/04/2015 at 22:17

Trade Heeney and click on the “S” sign next to a mid-fwd on your forward line (ie – Krakour, The Bont, Swan, etc etc). This moves your mid-fwd player to the midfield to replace Heeney. You then need to fill the spare fwd line position, which you do by selecting Tarrant.

      Sam · 28/04/2015 at 22:43

Meaning two trades need to be made ??????

        Swans2012 · 28/04/2015 at 22:47

Nope, counts as one as you are just moving your mid / fwd swinger from the forward line to the midfield in the first part. Give it a go as per the instructions above and all will become clear!

          Sparrow · 28/04/2015 at 23:00

Can't beleive we could use dpp this way and I only just found out than is!!

Jackybluch · 28/04/2015 at 22:06

Will fyfe get the tag this week. Not sure whether give the big C to Fyfe or Goldstein
any thoughts??

    chrissovan · 28/04/2015 at 22:08

Vince might go to him but don’t think he can handle the FYFE!!! No one can

    Ethan · 29/04/2015 at 08:29

    fyfe seems to be untagable

    Luke · 29/04/2015 at 09:24

Fyfe gets tagged every single week. It doesn't seem to stop him. Absolute jet!

    Flanno24 · 29/04/2015 at 10:02

Most teams don't even attempt to tag Fyfe because he can kill them on the inside with his size and outside with his running, usually Hill cops a tag

chrissovan · 28/04/2015 at 22:06

I think heeny has a lot more to offer hence holding. For me, Goodes is out this week.

    LEKD0G · 28/04/2015 at 22:31

I get it my man, I get it

r2d2 · 28/04/2015 at 22:17

Heeney out for krak!!! Plenty of other rookies to make cash , and his 5 will stay with him for a few weeks , bye bye Isaac

    Derek · 28/04/2015 at 22:56

Heeney was there to make cash. He will go up bit this week but after that he is done

      Spifflicator · 29/04/2015 at 10:11

Beware Heeney still has 70-100k of upside before the bye

    Rawkus11 · 29/04/2015 at 15:01

Have to agree r2. Although i think Heeney will still go up in value at least 50k we have to sell him now cause there are no other rooks on the horizon to trade to when he hits his peak. Gotta go now. Thanks isaak!

Hughsey · 28/04/2015 at 22:20

What to do with Goodes. Have enough money to upgrade but premos e.g. Simpson will still fall some more. Could always downgrade but i dont know who to. HELP COMMUNITY!

    LEKD0G · 28/04/2015 at 22:34

    Kelly? Adelaide.

      Hughsey · 29/04/2015 at 09:08

Won't he be out as soon as Cheney comes back?

noob · 28/04/2015 at 22:24

Looking to do 2 trades this week boys.

wines —> krak
lambert –> tarrant
leaves me with one premo down but a great war chest.

heeney/NVB –> krak
lambert –> tarrant

if i do the second option it will still leave me with 100k or so but leaves 550k (wines) stuck on the bench for another week.

    Dunc · 30/04/2015 at 14:00

To much dead cash with Wines. Get him out. You will also gain DPP which may help later if you don't have it already.

throttlefinger · 28/04/2015 at 22:24

Hate to say it Lek, but you look like a bandana guy. Ultimate frisbee superstar-look probably suit you better.

Appreciate the kind words about Sylvia. Needless to say, my team will look the same without him.

    General Soreness · 29/04/2015 at 10:46

Lek great vid. Hat issue more genuinely emotional than the departure of Colin Sylvia.

Not sure bandana and 70's porno mo is something I want to see. I was thinking something tweed with a matching tweed sportcoat and monocule.

You may need to go here —>

    Your welcome.

Harry · 28/04/2015 at 22:25

Who do I captian this week?? Fyfe or Goldy or Sloane??

    mcleal10 · 28/04/2015 at 22:35

Try loophole every week. Only way of pulling good scores without Gaz πŸ™

      Harry · 28/04/2015 at 23:05

I can’t though because my non playing players play before sloanes game.. Sigh..

        Rocksta · 29/04/2015 at 00:28

I’ve got the VC on Fyfe Harry and the C on Robbie Gray.
Robbie Gray won’t play this week and as such if Fyfe doesn’t score over 125, you still then have time to put the C on the Sloane Ranger ( which is what I will be doing). If Fyfe plays well, simply leave the C on Robbie( make sure you have a playing emergency on your bench).
The Captain’s Loophole exists in many shapes and forms.

          Ethan · 29/04/2015 at 08:34

          then if robbie gray plays?

Dustin · 28/04/2015 at 22:29

One thing that I think is puzzling is the thought of people who brought in Bellchambers as a fwd/ruck swing backup. Everyone is now trying to get rid of him because he is scoring 60s. What did you expect him to output? And most importantly did you bring him in as a cash generating stepping stone or a pure fwd swing back up to your rucks? If he is in your fwd line for the reason of providing back up just in case your rucks go down, you should hold onto him at least until the bye rounds so you can get in someone like ryder who is capable of tons. If he is in your fwd and you have no back up then trade at your own risk, its rare that any ruckmens play a full 22 games a season so prepare for a donut when you dont have TBC.

    Dee · 28/04/2015 at 22:54

I got rid of TBC for Swan 2 weeks ago, he made me about $20K. Had to get rid of him….

      Derek · 28/04/2015 at 23:00

TBC is at R2 for me. He has one more week before I get either Sauce or Mummy, did his job

        randomcliche · 29/04/2015 at 00:22

TBC @ R2 for me as well. When injury strikes him I can trade out a forward, bring in a ruck (and swing back if I hadn't been so greedy and bought a DPP bench option). This has allowed me to have more rookies. Thinks Lamb and sighs… Maybe I'll just trade him for the small silver coin he has made, like Derek.

    Juzzy · 28/04/2015 at 23:37

Sound advice Dustin. Exactly why I have TBC in the fwd line.
It has been tempting to trade him but I have a strong feeling I will regret it in the near future.
Also … He does have the Saints this weekend.

    Trab Pukcip · 29/04/2015 at 11:33

I wrote on a pre season thread that TBC has never been and will never be supercoach relevant! The bloke has no ticker. I wrote that he could be DPPPPP and I still wouldn't bring him in.

Harry · 28/04/2015 at 22:31

Is it bad that I only have 24 trades left aswell??
I’ve had to trade out bartel, wines and Goodes (wasted a massive trade on Cripps) and traded out Kolodjashnij and lambert

    Mike · 29/04/2015 at 01:12

Now that I’ve traded in Krak and Tarrant I’m down to 22!
Yes I’m bad, but Rocky, Bartell, Goodes, Lambert all had to go. TBC just because. Sheed and Jaksch cause I have no patience.
    Next week: BANG BANG!

      Mike · 29/04/2015 at 01:14

And by the way Lek, love the videos. Keep up the great work.

      Deadly · 29/04/2015 at 09:32

Mike, it's a marathon not a sprint, keep some petrol tickets for the last lap.

TOPHAWK1 · 28/04/2015 at 22:34

Excellent job Lekdog.

I am glad Juddy walked away. What a class act.

Clarko had other ideas……..LOL

Enjoyed it.

    LEKD0G · 29/04/2015 at 00:07

    Praise CJ!

Bailey · 28/04/2015 at 22:49

Is it worth going goodes > Kelly

Already have saad, Mcintosh, oxley but will leave me with 25 trades left and I have 13 rookies in my team

    Traderlyf · 29/04/2015 at 00:07

if his named then its not bad, could also go WhiteX

    Mike · 29/04/2015 at 01:32

I believe there are some players ready to come back for the Crows. Risky pick.

    Danners16 · 29/04/2015 at 12:49

Sounds good, Kelly should be in the team for a while yet

Dee · 28/04/2015 at 22:52

24 trades left with $305K in the kitty…. Rank 1,239. CENTRAL LUZON FC.

Girdle · 28/04/2015 at 22:59

Lovin’ the videos, Lekdog! Keep ’em comin’!

If I was nit-picking, I’d say that Salem needs to go before Clark. Watching the game last Friday, I thought he was very lucky to reach 79 (?). Especially since conditions suited and the Dees had a big win. Don’t think he’ll make it over $350k anyway, Tarrant will be over that in 3-4 weeks and we get $140k in the warchest. Win-Win! No hesitation trading him down to Tarrant. Cats draw opens up soon enough. Clark will still monster a weaker team or three.

    Rocksta · 28/04/2015 at 23:28

    I agree.
Better to keep Clark whom has a much higher ceiling IMO.
Neither are keepers and as such better to take the extra cash with the Salem Trade.

      Traderlyf · 29/04/2015 at 00:10

so is it better to go salem to krak or heeney to krak?

        Rocksta · 29/04/2015 at 00:19

I’m going Heeney to Krak ( as his BE is over 30 and the 7 will effect his cash generation substantially for the next 3 weeks, whilst Krak will appreciate at the rate of knots,
And Salem to Tarrant ( Tarrant will appreciate substantially over the next 3 weeks).
I think it’s worth cashing Heeney and Salem a little early considering the cash you will make and the rate at which Krak and Tarrant will appreciate.
Remember, you really need to start looking at fallen premiums in the next 2 weeks and you need cash to upgrade the Rooks to them

          Traderlyf · 29/04/2015 at 00:21

yeah i was always going mcgrath (injured) to tarrant just wasnt sure if heeney or salem should go for krak

          Girdle · 29/04/2015 at 01:03

          Couldn’t agree more!

    Girdle · 29/04/2015 at 01:01

First priorities would obviously be players like Jed Anderson, Cockatoo, Ahmed Saad, Jaden McGrath, Lambert and Lamb. If you have any of those then it’s a no-brainer (imo) to bring in Tarrant and/or Krakouer. All depends what you have planned for the coming weeks. Personally I want the cash to upgrade Bellchambers next week. Haven’t been comfortable with him in my team at all, wanting to correct my mistake asap!

Donavan · 28/04/2015 at 23:24

Love the Charlie Sheen look at 5.10

Great video as always

    LEKD0G · 29/04/2015 at 00:08

    Haha WINNING

I N Pieman · 28/04/2015 at 23:35

Nice one Lek. Tarrant call spot on mate. And a Krak injection if you haven’t had one!

    LEKD0G · 29/04/2015 at 00:09

Yeah forgot to mention Krak, just assumed he was in every team I guess

Pumper · 29/04/2015 at 00:34

Would using the dpp in swinging Higgins into the fwd line and trading Salem to Kelly a good idea?

    Rocksta · 29/04/2015 at 00:39

If you’ve already got Tarrant and Krak then yes, but if not, I don’t see the point.
Tarrant and Krak have higher averages ( lower BE’s ) than Kelly and thus will generate cash quicker.

      Pumper · 29/04/2015 at 01:56

Yeah my first trade was trading Heeney to Tarrant with Switching Swan in the midfield.
I've had Krak since the start of the season so that was lucky. I was just looking to free some more cash by trading Salem to Kelly who is on the bubble but dunno if ill keep that idea.

matt · 29/04/2015 at 02:07

who would admit they live in bonbeach let alone say their buisness is based there

Pirate Family · 29/04/2015 at 04:45

I have 26 trades.

I have only 3k in the bank

Potential Trades

henney to krack

And thinking Salem to tarrant

24 trades 250k in the bank all positions scoring

Is it worth it?

Or should I hold Salem

    Gold Rush · 29/04/2015 at 06:12

What's going to generate more cash?

    Tyler · 29/04/2015 at 08:09

If you don't get Tarrant and Krak in you will regret in in another 2 weeks. Salem will keep going up but Tarrant and Krak will go up heaps.

    derek · 29/04/2015 at 10:42

you must have someone else besides salem you can trade?

Nash · 29/04/2015 at 06:26

KMac to J Kelly. KMac is expected to go up another 20,000 than he won't be able to make his breakevens. While Kelly is expected to go up 40,000 this week. Thoughts

    Sarah · 29/04/2015 at 08:01

I'd hold KMac. We know he's capable of scoring 100's. Remember Langdon last year? He was on the block with a few average scores then banged out 2 100's to get his price over $400k. I reckon it's worth holding KMac as he has that potential, whereas i don't think Kelly has a high ceiling as he's more of a lock down defender.

      derek · 29/04/2015 at 10:41

Kmac is the Terlich of 2013. I kept that guy nearly all year.

      Spifflicator · 29/04/2015 at 11:25

While I don’t think Kelly is a bust, I don’t think he will get regular games plus he will be a constant vest candidate in the games he does get. I just can’t justify a trade on him. KMac, like Heeney can easily get to 300k before the bye, and one score over 90 will see their price jump nicely.

    Ethan · 29/04/2015 at 08:37

kelly has a low job security and might not even play this week, making room for kyle cheney.Hold Kmac, he is one of the 3/4 rookies defenders still available and is a must to have

Nathan · 29/04/2015 at 07:56

Great work Lek

Issue in my side
I have minson
Underperformaning and dropped last week against one of the best ruckman in the comp
What do I do
Do I get krakour and Tarrant? By trading out heeney and lamb
Or do I sacrifice one of them and bring in goldy?
Minson cost me all but one league win
So he’s in the gun

Sarah · 29/04/2015 at 08:03

Great Vid Lekdog!! I've got my eye on Parker, JPK and Smith over the next two weeks, with Rocky hopefully to follow shortly afterwards. There's about to be discount premo's galore!!!

Tyler · 29/04/2015 at 08:05

About how many rookies does everyone have in their teams? I have 15 after trading in Krak and Tarrant, with 9 onfield.

    uncle Bob · 29/04/2015 at 08:25

    Same – 15 including T Read.

With multiple mid price players, I wont necessarily require a two trade to make the required cash for a premium upgrade so worse case I figure a 3:2 ratio of 'trades to rookie upgrades' is needed.

Keeping some as back up etc…

    derek · 29/04/2015 at 10:40

I have 12. (saad, Ox, McIntosh, Heeny, CEY, Krak, Martin, Cripps, Salem, Clarke, Hogan, Taz)

but I have 5 mid pricers that need to be upgraded with the use of a rookie downgrade. paint the fence!

KK, Ibbotson, Smitchell, TBC, Cloke. (& maybe Newnes)

      derek · 29/04/2015 at 10:41

I forgot, I also have vandenberg

        medadsson · 29/04/2015 at 21:41

Don't go too soon on Ibbotson :). Last three games 85 88 and 102. Not too many defenders doing much better and he is looking better as the season progresses.

Tofor · 29/04/2015 at 09:09

Rich or Heeney out for Krak? I'm thinking the former has reached his objective.
I also have Sheed Cripps E-Y and Vandenberg.
Also feel compelled to get Tarrant in up forward. I have Lonie, Clark, Salem, Hogan. Last week after Dex' article, traded Martin in for TBC. That hurt… I guess another option to trade out for Tarrant.

    Trab Pukcip · 29/04/2015 at 11:25

If I was playing head to head I would cut Rich make the $$ and hold heeney, if I was going for overall rank I would cut heeney and then look at upgrading rich either this week or next!

    Tofor · 29/04/2015 at 12:34

    Thanks for the advice Trab.
'Pick up Bart. Pick up Bart' "What the hell is pickabar!?"

tom mitchell · 29/04/2015 at 09:22

alright guys
i have priddis, bennell newnes who are more than frustrating
also still have mcintosh lamb and lambert who are all injured
i wanted to go priddis to heppel and lambert to krakouer but i think i may have to bring krakeour and tarrant thoughts?

    Deadly · 29/04/2015 at 09:38

Don't get rid of Priddis, all premos will go up and down.

It's time to put on the Hannibal Lector mask and silence those lambs.

      tom mitchell · 29/04/2015 at 09:39

      haha thanks

    Traderlyf · 29/04/2015 at 09:39

Yeah hold on priddis, dont really want to be trading premiums when theres cash cows up for grabs

    @t_woof · 29/04/2015 at 14:56

Hold Priddis, Bennell and Newnes. Concentrate on Krak and Tarrant.

Priddis a proven premium, stick fat.

Bennell and Newnes, i have both. Bennell hasn't really been playing well, yet has still been scoring ok…. Definitely has a few more gears up his sleeve….Vs Brisbane this week, must hold…his chance to go big this weekend.

Newnes, hold….Krak and Tarrant higher priorities.

zeesus · 29/04/2015 at 09:53

Who will be the top 6 defenders at the end of the year… go!

    eatemalive · 29/04/2015 at 10:13

IMO and in no particular order – Shaw,Simpson,Murphy,Malceski,Smith,Hibbered – apologies to Hooker, Kelly,Houli,Birchall – I'm sure others will differ

    derek · 29/04/2015 at 10:24

I'm thinking there is no standouts this year, and the point difference between 1st and 10th best defender won't be a lot. the secret is having them play most games and consistent scores.

I started year with Ibbotson and very happy with him so far. I watched freo last weekend and he was running around half-back, directing traffic, controlling play and demanding the ball. I like him a lot.

    Barry · 29/04/2015 at 10:32

Cale Hooker, Michael Hurley, Daniel Talia, Alex Rance, Josh Gibson, Zac Dawson (if healthy). Some of the best and most reliable full backs / centre half backs. Key forwards generally struggle on those matchups.

      derek · 29/04/2015 at 11:11

I was thinking Zac Dawson as well. He may get a lot more time in the guts with the weak fremantle midfield and will be a big POD. good call πŸ˜‰

    Ethan · 29/04/2015 at 11:20

again in no particular order, simpson, murphy, hibberd, houli, hooker, smith

    Pinidu. C · 29/04/2015 at 14:21

    1. Hodge 2. Hooker 3. Shaw 4. Hibberd 5. Smith 6. Howe

Leon · 29/04/2015 at 10:00

Want to get taz in

Have two options;
1. Lambert out, taz in via dpp (gray into middle for the weekend ). Loses me a dpp but he wont play till mid year. Will cost 40k
Or 2. heeney out, taz in via dpp. Will make me 90k

26 trades left and 260k in kitty

which one makes more sense?

    Dee · 29/04/2015 at 10:21

    I would HOLD Heeney….

      Leon · 29/04/2015 at 10:28

      cheers, was leaning that way

    Ethan · 29/04/2015 at 11:22

tbh i think its best to move on from heeney, in these next few weeks his price will stall because of his 7. thus making more cash in your bank will help you in the future

    judd0 · 29/04/2015 at 13:10

I think hold Heeney if he gets a game
By round 7 his score of 7 will drop out of his rolling average and hopefully will jump in price again.
He is pretty good bench cover to have and there are plenty of cash cows already in the mix and I'm assuming you have most of them.
Heeney's price will peak at a different stage to a lot of the other rookies now, a good thing. I reckon he'll be well fed come the first bye round and be ready for a slaughter.

David · 29/04/2015 at 10:19

Van berlo to Krak?? Or hold??

    Dee · 29/04/2015 at 10:20

That’s one of my trades this week, get Krak now while he’s cheap…. plus NVB’s BE is getting higher!

    SCaddict · 29/04/2015 at 12:27

Pull the trigger mate, Kraks is a must have cashcow along with Taz this week.

    Danners16 · 29/04/2015 at 12:47

You would have to, NVB has peaked

Dee · 29/04/2015 at 10:19

Thank GOD I didn’t listen to Jock and put J. Newnes in my initial side, on the other hand thank GOD I picked T. Goldstein in my initial side…. #winning

    Leon · 29/04/2015 at 10:29

One month in, beware the early crow…. I have found this bites ya back when you least expect it (see those who traded out cripps)

    derek · 29/04/2015 at 11:23

if you didn't put Newnes in your team, seriously, who did you put in your team instead? how are they going?

    @t_woof · 29/04/2015 at 15:18

Stop thanking God, there are religious minded websites for that.

      Dee · 05/05/2015 at 17:01

      I started my backline with….
      H.Shaw, K.Simpson, K.Kolodashnij,
      B. Goodes, A. Oxley, A. Saad.
      K. McIntosh, N. Brown.

        Dee · 05/05/2015 at 17:07

        My current backline is now….
        H. Shaw, H. Taylor, K. Simpson
        K. Kolodashnij, A. Oxley, K. McIntosh.
        N. Brown, J. Kelly.

This week I traded out Salem, swing Krakour in the forward line, moved Saad to the midfield and traded in Taylor. I got rid of Goodes round 3 I think…

derek · 29/04/2015 at 10:34

Heeney looks like he might play this week, was thinking it would be ok to have him as a loophole, but if he plays his price should go up a bit this week, but will level out and maybe even fall over the next two weeks as the 7 rolls through his average.

he was in my team as a cash cow. if he can't give me cash increases he must go.

I am going to do lamb to Taz as 1 trade, and I already have Krak in my midfield.

I was thinking a left field trade of Heeny to Whitecross (via Saad swinging to the midfield). Whitecross can average 80+ if he gets back to his 2012 level. he is only 25 (seems like he has been around longer than that). He will increase in cash and give me a solid option in defence, especially as I see him getting more mid-field time as his fitness increases.

Everyone had him in the pre-season teams, but no-one is thinking about him now. His price is a bit elevated, but he is still a bargin.

I also like that this move will give me a DEF/MID swing. I haven't had Saad on my field yet this year, so he has been wasted in defence, but in the midfield he might be more valuable, especially if Swan and Gray don't play this week and Krak has to go forward for cover.

I have to admit, I did say at the start of the year I wouldn't have any Hawks in my team as they are poor SC players, but he looks like he might be in hawks best 22 and he is value.

    Swans2012 · 29/04/2015 at 10:54

Food for thought! I like your thinking! I’ve gone nvb to Tarrant as my first trade and was considering newnes to hibberd just to get away from the norm but I might even follow you in on the whitex call. If he averages 70 it’d be a win.

      derek · 29/04/2015 at 11:22

Hawks have a few injury problems in defence, so Whitecross JS is very good.

I'm keen to get rid of Heeney this week, the problem we will have will be all the cash cows will be ready for slaughter at the same time, and it will be hard to kill them all PLUS get in the fallen premiums with only two trades per week.

        The Ranger · 29/04/2015 at 12:21

That very thing happened to me last year Derek and I never recovered from it. I held on to the rooks for too long trying to milk every last 10-15K out of them and then found myself losing money when I couldn't trade them out quickly enough.
I'm no expert but I'm trying to learn from previous mistakes so will be culling earlier this year and hoping that works!

    Trab Pukcip · 29/04/2015 at 11:12

Good thinking Derek but how is whitecross's job security? That would be the only query for me. Otherwise you could probably afford to hold Heeney and save a trade!

    Spifflicator · 29/04/2015 at 11:51

Derek, just remember that the 7 drops off after round 8, just before the byes. If Heeney averages 65 in that time he will jump 70k by round 10, & If he chucks in a 95 he can do it by round 8.

I know it’s all speculation, but given he has 2 x 96’s already, I for one am expecting more from him.

      Spifflicator · 29/04/2015 at 12:45

Not to mention the Swans play Dogs, Melb, geelong, Carlton and Suns in the next 6. Plenty of points for young Isaac I reckon.

        Sarah · 29/04/2015 at 15:31

Agreed. I'll be holding him. He hasn't made enough money to be worth the trade yet.

          Derek · 29/04/2015 at 18:14

I’ll be trading him. I’ve only made 1 trade so far, so I have the luxury

            Spifflicator · 29/04/2015 at 20:13

            You do! Good luck

@TylerCArmstrong · 29/04/2015 at 11:48

I think Robbie Tarrant is more of a priority to get into your team than Krakouer.

POLLY · 29/04/2015 at 12:18

So it looks like everyone is leaning this way:
Give lamb the chop, polly wants a krakour and not a cockatoo and silence the lambert.

AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 29/04/2015 at 12:40

How long can Krak really stay in the Port 22? Talking he wont stay long because he is rookie list and will most likely wont be on the side very long????? Is he really worth trading for possible a few weeks????

    Nifty · 29/04/2015 at 12:54

I read somewhere a while ago, that when the Player he got upgraded for comes off the injury list in couple of weeks, he gets removed from the Senior List?

      AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 29/04/2015 at 13:00

Yeah that's what I read too…..not sure if it's worth trading him in then trading him out???

    I N Pieman · 29/04/2015 at 13:26

Pretty sure it was Billy Frampton who's estimated return is 4 weeks. So you should get a few price rises out of him. If Krak is playing well & contributing to the team then I'm sure Billy's injury will be considerably worse than first expected. Frampton is yet to play a game. He's a backup ruckman & no where near displacing Lobbe or Ryder.

      Nifty · 29/04/2015 at 13:32

Yes, he was upgraded for Frampton. Thanks I N Pieman..

Danners16 · 29/04/2015 at 12:46

Great stuff Lek! Just wondering community if these trades are worth it
Newnes to Hibberd
Heeney to Tarrant via loophole (already got Krakouer)
I have stashed up a warchest in previous week and would have about $360,000 to upgrade Salem to a defender (via swinging) and maybe Vandenberg.

    Pinidu.C · 29/04/2015 at 14:20

Hold Newnes for now. Hibberd has a very high breakeven and will come down next week.

Pinidu.C · 29/04/2015 at 13:12

Is it worth getting Cripps now? My trades for this week are Anderson>Cripps and Lamb>Tarrant. Are these trades worth it? If I do use these trades I'll have 23 left.
Thanks for all your help. Great work Lekdog!

    Holty · 29/04/2015 at 13:20

IMO, not now. You will only be bringing Cripps in to make money and then trade him out. Tarrant and Krak will make you far more.

    I N Pieman · 29/04/2015 at 13:30

Ship has sailed on Cripps. Wasting 2 trades because you will need to cash him in in a few weeks. After this week you should probably be at 25-26 trades. Try & slow down a bit. Lamb to Tarrant is certainly a good trade.

DramaLlama · 29/04/2015 at 13:18

I think you look good in a hat.

Holty · 29/04/2015 at 13:18

Hi Community
I'm curious to know peoples thoughts on whats more important this week?
1. Getting Goldy and either Krak or Tarrant
2. Getting Krak and Tarrant
I'm guessing the responses will be mixed as some are going for overall glory and some simply going for league. Still interested though.

    @t_woof · 29/04/2015 at 15:29

I would lean to (2) Holty. Though does depend on who occupies R1 & R2 re the Goldstein trade.

Pat · 29/04/2015 at 13:31

Can someone explain how he can use DPP to trade out Heeney for Krakeour whilst only using one trade?

    Spifflicator · 29/04/2015 at 14:57

Krakouer is a mid, nuff said. I think Lek referred to Tarrant however.

    To bring in Tarrant for Heeney follow theses steps;

    1. Trade Out Heeney
    2. Look at you fwds, any that are mid/fwd swing should have a green ‘+’ symbol next to them. Press one i.e. Swan
    3. Swan should now be in your mids, and you should have an empty space to trade in a forward.
    4. Trade in Tarrant.

Hope this explains it for you.

Pat · 29/04/2015 at 13:31

Can someone explain how he can use DPP to trade out Heeney for Tarrant (ignore last comment) whilst only using one trade?

    Holty · 29/04/2015 at 13:42

Hi Pat. I'll go by steps
    1. Select Heeney to Trade
    2. In the trade menu, move one of your DPP (i.e Martin, Swan, Bont) to the midfield.
    3. This will then allow you to select a forward. (Tarrant)
    Hope this helps

      Pat · 29/04/2015 at 13:46

Wow, I'm in the top 1% so far this year, and have been playing for a few years now, and never knew that! Thanks heaps, helped me a lot!

Pinidu.C · 29/04/2015 at 13:52

Should I upgrade Daniel Rich this week or hold and upgrade next week. His break even this week is 78 leading into the Q clash. Please help…

Jono · 29/04/2015 at 13:57

not sure who is more important Krak or Tarrant. or maybe both are just as important?
im leaning towards krak and upgrading goodes to tMac. and probably holding thick until byes.

the fact that krak might be out of the best 22 in the next few weeks and tarrants injury history come as worries.

is it worth bringing these two in – effectively making some money in the interim for us but worth probably 4-5 trades (2 -3 trades each) at the end of the day?

Premos are going to be bargin prices this year so is it worth giving up our valuable trades to build up a warchest when it hasn't been as important as previous years? the 2 highest priced super-premos can be as cheap is 550k in gaz and rocky?

im not sure what to do :/

currently on 26 trades with my trades going to gaz, Sidebottom, lambert (injuries).
im thinking that injuries are going to be more a factor come season end with the way footys going Meaning trades will be the ultimate premo price.

any thoughts appreciated.

    Kev · 29/04/2015 at 21:50

Leaning towards your thinking, Jono. Other rookies will come along, I've got no rookies ready to cull. Trading for trades sake. I fizz out every year by not having enough trades in the bank, rookies are not 'must haves' as you'll be trading them back out anyway.

Jim · 29/04/2015 at 14:03

Hey guys,

I have a couple options this week, wondered if you had some thoughts. Definitely need to bring in Krak and Tarrant.

Option 1:

Trade McGrath and Lambert to Krak and Tarrant

Option 2:

NVB to Krak

McGrath to Tarrant?

Option 2 gives me a bit more cash (extra $130ish) which could be handy for fallen premos over next few weeks, eg Gray, Kennedy, Stevie J?

    Pinidu.C · 29/04/2015 at 14:18

Definitely option 2 mate, you'll have some extra cash in the bank and also, Lambert not playing could come in handy. You could use him for a midfield loophole when you can't decide who to put on the bench or you could use him for the captain loophole as well.

      Jim · 29/04/2015 at 14:26

Yeah, that’s the way I was heading, cheers!

Mac · 29/04/2015 at 15:37

Heeney and Lambert to Krak and Tarrent?

    Dee · 29/04/2015 at 15:43

    I would HOLD Heeney.

      @Jimmy_Riddles · 29/04/2015 at 17:06

Agreed, Heeney should play each week and average 80ish till the byes, less money making short term but will pay off for the bye rounds

Monte Casino · 29/04/2015 at 16:12

How many trades should we ideally (and reasonably) have left going into the bye rounds?
and How many should we have left after the bye rounds?

@Jimmy_Riddles · 29/04/2015 at 17:05

In Defense I have Goodes coming out and can afford any of the Defenders,

Do I lock in Smith, Hooker, Rance, Gibson OR Bank an extra 100k and go Simpson, Hibberd, McDonald or Birch?

Hard to tell who will be a top 6 at this point!

    Kev · 29/04/2015 at 21:47

Go right up to the top echelon, Jimmy. Peace of mind in the long run

GB · 30/04/2015 at 19:11

Any must have fallen premiums right now?
