The Standing Room – Round 4

Published by Jock on

G’day Community! Welcome to The Standing Room for round 4.

A place to chew the Supercoach fat about the round in progress. How are we all getting on – what are the dilemmas you’re facing for the rest of the round – and as we move towards a critical round 5?

Jack Newnes is providing a headache early but the pain is eased by Hogan and vandenBerg scoring tons on Friday night.

Remember to take a minute to think about all the people who have sacrificed for their country this ANZAC weekend community.

Jack Newnes………………………

    Alex · 25/04/2015 at 13:43

Is a muppet. What were we all thinking???

      PJay · 25/04/2015 at 14:17

      We weren't……………………….!

    hosedawg · 25/04/2015 at 14:32

Question, if i put higgins on my bench in the defence as emergency.
Would he cover robbie gray for instance in my forward line?
Due to the fact higgins is FWD/DEF??
    Thoughts be much appreciated

      Ben · 25/04/2015 at 14:39

I feel like a muppet for having newnes in my team, though i made up for it by putting cripps on the field and not on the bench last minute

        Lazy_Simmo · 25/04/2015 at 15:12

promised myself wouldn't buy into hype machines this season. Newnes leaving big brown stains..

      Stickman · 25/04/2015 at 17:47

Higgins will need to be in your forward line to cover Gray

    @t_woof · 25/04/2015 at 23:28

His work rate was superb vs Collingwood last weekend. I was confident he would score well v Carlton, but i was wrong.

Perhaps his work rate was a little too good, and hence why he was given a "run with" role on Murphy…..oh well… Jock has mentioned in the heading….the pain subsides when you look at Hogan, Vanders & Cripps scores.

Jesse. · 25/04/2015 at 12:02

Ripper weekend of football ahead. After another solid peroformounce do you see tom McDonald as being a reliable option? Thanks jock

    Derek · 25/04/2015 at 12:41

He is becoming the Terlich of 2 years ago

@Rem_Wah · 25/04/2015 at 12:03

Jack Newnes isn't showing all that much again… Seems to have taken up a tagging role on Murphy this time – Not looking good 🙁

    Redgumwon · 25/04/2015 at 12:43

Jack Newnes is last years Jimmy Webster. Lots of hype about both and both not delivering much

      Bog rat · 26/04/2015 at 00:39

Haha & Karnizis the year before that

Arthur · 25/04/2015 at 12:04

Considering breaking many a SC rule & going a sideways trade, is trading out Griffin to Watson smart or silly?

    Epidemick · 25/04/2015 at 12:13

History says silly. Watson great pick up but premiums should now come from trading mid pricers and rookies or injured premiums. Not warm bodies who can improve.

      @t_woof · 25/04/2015 at 23:29

      Hope you held Arthur.

Brook · 25/04/2015 at 12:12

KK or Adam saad onfield? Have kmac’s 42 and looping oxley

I N Pieman · 25/04/2015 at 12:31

Newnes is useless

@emhoy · 25/04/2015 at 12:37

Looking like Newnes to Hibberd next week should only cost $50K and I reckon Hibberd will end up top 8 back

    Derek · 25/04/2015 at 12:43

Newnes has made 4 tackles. How many points for a tackle?

      Derek · 25/04/2015 at 13:04

Everyone has Newnes. It will be interesting what people decide to do with him. I got KK and Ibbotson as well. Wait for premiums to fall

        @emhoy · 25/04/2015 at 14:23

Hibberd is falling I reckon after today it will be his lowest price for a while unless he comes out and smashes a 120 🙂

          Ben · 25/04/2015 at 14:41

          hibberd 140 today

        @t_woof · 25/04/2015 at 23:32

Agree Derek, will be very interesting what coaches do with him.

Top defenders yet to be set in stone. Could easily be trading in another problem if trade in a defender with a relatively unproven record. I have him…..not sure what i'll do yet. His B/E may be the deciding factor.

          SideBySidebottom · 26/04/2015 at 21:04

If we hold Newnes at D6 and he is our last upgrade the result should be reasonable.

    dognino · 25/04/2015 at 13:19

Newnes is a massive turd in my backline , second worst average of my 8 defenders, only in front of brown

      Crowls · 27/04/2015 at 05:33

Geez I would love to have that problem mate. Unfortunately I have KK and Goodes in front of the line.

Tyler · 25/04/2015 at 12:39

Cripps with 11 handballs and 2 kicks at the half… Hopefully he can get a 70-80

    I N Pieman · 25/04/2015 at 12:44

He’s on 49 at half time. Newnes 31

      Derek · 25/04/2015 at 13:21

      Cripps 107sc at 3/4 time. $$$$

        @Rem_Wah · 25/04/2015 at 13:57

        How about 140+

          Duffer · 25/04/2015 at 18:26

          How about 172!

    dognino · 25/04/2015 at 13:16

Cripps already on 109 at 3/4 time

      Pavos · 25/04/2015 at 14:23

Where do you find this out?

        dognino · 25/04/2015 at 15:01

Live HQ, it's a $3 a week subscription to the advertiser/ herald sun

        SideBySidebottom · 25/04/2015 at 23:32

If you subscribe to Foxtel you can get live SuperCoach scores.

          Booma · 26/04/2015 at 00:04

How you get the live scores with foxtel subscription SBS??

            SideBySidebottom · 26/04/2015 at 21:28

This would be a lot easier if I had a memory. I set this up two years ago so and I'm automatically logged in on the laptop and iPhone. Luckily my partner's iPad is a SuperCoach virgin (hehehehe) (she's glaring at me) so I'll go through the process and give instructions.

Type "live supercoach scores" into a search engine (in this case safari).
Select the third option "Fox Sports| SuperFooty Live HQ".
The home page has a red band with the following options" AFL | Latest News | Fixture | Teams | TV Shows | SC News| Live HQ | Ladder| Forum | Supercoach | Video | TV "
            Select "Supercoach"
Under the " LOG IN" box tap on "become a member".
Scroll down to the two columns titled "Digital subscription" and "Foxtel Customer".
            Tap the "Check Eligibilty" box.
            Good Luck from there 🙂

    Ben · 25/04/2015 at 14:42

loving that i never traded cripps out round 1, like so many did

      Josh · 26/04/2015 at 08:13

      Yeah same
      How good is it!!

TOM · 25/04/2015 at 12:54

Not sure who to VC and C out of this bunch. Using the VC loophole.

Swan, Fyfe, Beams, JPK, Selwood, Goldstein (only becuase versing Geelong who have no ruckman. My gut says VC on Swanny because he is a beast on ANZAC day but not sure who to put the C on if he fails.

Dustbin Feltchers · 25/04/2015 at 12:56

can someone explain how alex rance gets towelled up by the new Ox Hogan…but still manages 90 sc points?? 40 dt points??

    dognino · 25/04/2015 at 13:17

Every one at champion data has him in their office league teams. Only explanation I can see

      Dustbin Feltchers · 25/04/2015 at 23:23 on dognino..cheers

        @t_woof · 25/04/2015 at 23:33

    Charlesy · 26/04/2015 at 06:39

I mentioned this yesterday mate. 10 possessions at 80% means he got 90 for 8 possessions and 3 tackles. It’s rubbish

I N Pieman · 25/04/2015 at 13:15

Cripps tonnes up before 3/4 time. Lovely

    Derek · 25/04/2015 at 13:22

    How is Newnes going

      dognino · 25/04/2015 at 13:25

Newnes 42 ! 3 mins into the last

      anthonyc12 · 25/04/2015 at 13:26

If you have Newnes (which I do), you would probably prefer to not know how he is going

        dognino · 25/04/2015 at 13:29

I'm making a rule for 2016 now, don't listen to jock re saints players.

          Marco_Polo94 · 25/04/2015 at 13:33

          Marco_Polo94 · 25/04/2015 at 13:34

newnes is a dilemma i really didn't want. I have enough problems elsewhere

          Northernsoul74 · 25/04/2015 at 13:38

Webster last year, Newnes this year. So many of us sucked in.

      shezza · 25/04/2015 at 13:55

Stinks and must be in contention to be traded next week.he has tagged most, if not all weeks

        Bog rat · 26/04/2015 at 00:43

        Do I smell a rage trade ?

    @t_woof · 25/04/2015 at 23:33

    Bless him INP!

    172, incredible.

Dingo · 25/04/2015 at 13:36

Want to trade Goodes and Kolo to Smith and a rookie but not sure what rookie to go. Thoughts please???

    Mac · 25/04/2015 at 13:43

What about trade Kolo to Kelly (Geel) and hold Goodes to see how the defensive rookies look like after this round? Goodes wont lose money because he got dropped.

Tyler · 25/04/2015 at 13:42

Glad I loopholed Cripps

T.J · 25/04/2015 at 13:44

Kelly or Birchell for Kade Kolo

    Scott · 26/04/2015 at 20:51

Westy · 25/04/2015 at 13:47

If I had the E on Cripps before the game, and move Gray onto the field and move Heeney to the bench, will I get Cripps' points?

    T.J · 25/04/2015 at 13:49

    shezza · 25/04/2015 at 13:56

      Westy · 25/04/2015 at 13:56

      Seems like a plan then!

    @Rem_Wah · 25/04/2015 at 13:58

    You will, absolutely

dognino · 25/04/2015 at 13:56

Will be interesting to see the scaling after the saints v blues, 30 secs left in the game and still just under 3000 points allocated so far, which should mean for some big up scaling

    dognino · 25/04/2015 at 14:43

Cripps scaled from 150 up to 172. Massive

TheCompletePackage · 25/04/2015 at 13:59

What's the latest on Bontempelli. Will he play? Loop holing Gray and Hogan with Bont currently on the ground has me worried.

T.J · 25/04/2015 at 13:59

Cripps 150!!!!

    Westy · 25/04/2015 at 14:02

Boom – must hurt for those people who traded him out in the first 3 weeks.

    Derek · 25/04/2015 at 14:04

150 before scaling, I rekon 162 after scaling!

    I N Pieman · 25/04/2015 at 14:04

Bring it on! What a performance. The extractor absolutely dominated in the second half. Great tank

      T.J · 25/04/2015 at 14:06

Whoever traded him don't read this

        I N Pieman · 25/04/2015 at 14:09

TJ heaps did. About 15k I think. Oopsie

          T.J · 25/04/2015 at 14:11

ahaha glad i stuck with my gut and kept him. I bet van berlo can't outscore that! Pieman, whats your thoughts on Kolo to Kelly?

          I N Pieman · 25/04/2015 at 14:13

NVB your on the pine son. I have Kelly already. It was no coincidence his score improved when Bartel went down. More mid time for sure. Good pick for mine

    Vic City · 25/04/2015 at 14:42

I'm sorry I ever doubted you Crippsy!

T.J · 25/04/2015 at 14:08

Seems a fair few people have Kolo and are looking to trade him. Look at Kelly. He will run through the middle more since Jimmy has gone down and should average around 90. Anyone else agree?

Adsy · 25/04/2015 at 14:15

With conditions and everything the way they are in Melb at the moment, would it be wise to bring in a Watson or a Heppell into your side this week? Watson would like it contested, and at 570k and in only 7% of teams, would be worth it? Can he last out the season and be a keeper? (barring injury of course). Need to get rid of Wines, and tossing up whether to do it now or next week? Any tips from the pros?

    FootyFanatic · 25/04/2015 at 14:29

Don't bring in a player who you think will go big just for this week, choose a player who you think will be a top 10 mid come seasons end

BundyBear · 25/04/2015 at 14:22

Watched a lot of people trade out Cripps the last few weeks . Glad i stuck with him

T.J · 25/04/2015 at 14:29

Will rain affect Swan's score?

    Pavos · 25/04/2015 at 14:32

Yes but he will kill it

Pavos · 25/04/2015 at 14:31

Who should I chuck the VC on: Swan, Fyfe, Parker?

I N Pieman · 25/04/2015 at 14:44

CRIPPS 172. Wow

    Ben · 25/04/2015 at 14:54

im stuck with cripps and vanderberg on as my subs with no loop holes available

nearly 300 points down the drain

      Mike · 25/04/2015 at 15:09

Seriously!? LMAO. You put Cripps on the bench when he was playing Saints?
Got VanB on the bench myself and thought that was bad, but to have both would seriously hurt.
No doubt Heeney will score 35 and make us both cringe even more.

      Brillsy21 · 25/04/2015 at 15:47

      Same :(((

    dognino · 25/04/2015 at 15:03

I'll be taking lonies 84 too, keep lamb for another week and get another look at krak and Tarrant this week

      I N Pieman · 25/04/2015 at 15:29

      Agree dog. Taking the 84

      SideBySidebottom · 25/04/2015 at 23:38

      Tarrant's an injury bomb.

eatemalive · 25/04/2015 at 15:01

I have Vanders & Cripper ,my decision is do I go with NVB or Heeney on the field, I have a feeling that Heeney might get vested either before or during the game which will make my decision easier, but if he doesn't I'm leaning towards NVB anyway. Thoughts anyone ?

    Luke · 25/04/2015 at 16:06

Heeney's a lock in their best 21, absolutely no chance of a sub, (unless an injury happens)

      Michael · 26/04/2015 at 12:02

…and the SC gods strike again!

Mike · 25/04/2015 at 15:16

Surely Heeney won’t back up last week’s score. He needed 3 goals to score that much. He won’t kick 3 every week, but I sure hope I’m wrong. GO SWANS!

Totally crying I picked Savage for Goodes before last week. I guess this is why sideways trading midpricers is bad.

    Brett · 25/04/2015 at 15:38

your spot on, though with goodes price & be , his more rookie priced grr ! feel your pain !!

Northernsoul74 · 25/04/2015 at 15:24

If I could rage trade Newnes now I would. Sunday night he is gone.

Brett · 25/04/2015 at 15:42

*ruck epidemic*

after seeing wood & longer bust out massive scores, bellchambers looks like he should hit the scoreboard well…. its gotta be probably that mummy can go large or wishful thinking ?

mummy > goldy ?

    eatemalive · 25/04/2015 at 15:57

I also have Maric who had 124 last night, I'm sticking with Mummy as its GWS v Suns.

Pitch · 25/04/2015 at 15:59

Newnes……. pfffft, sucked in bad :-(, thanklfully just about everyone else has him. just goes to show – never pick players from shite sides. (rookies and gaj aside).

Luke · 25/04/2015 at 16:10

I was one of the few people who traded out Cripps after rd1 when he was a late out. Given that he scored a 172 and that it will remain in his 3 round average for the next couple of rounds, would it be a good idea to trade him back in, as he will make plenty of cash now?
(He would be about 285-295k next week)

    Pavos · 25/04/2015 at 16:19

Mate you got rid of him! You can’t burn 2 trades I’m sorry but you’ll have 2 suffer

    Phil · 25/04/2015 at 17:26

It's a good question. There's every chance he could still make you 200k to justify the trade.

    cow roll · 25/04/2015 at 17:59

    That's justifiable

Spanghers and mash · 25/04/2015 at 16:23

Hi community, hope everyone’s having a good weekend.

I had Lonie(84points) as my emergency so should I loophole him with Gray and put Mitch Clark on my bench?

I personally can’t see Clark getting much more than 84

    Mike · 25/04/2015 at 17:09

I’d take that score if I were you. I reckon Geelong will get done tomorrow.

      Spanghers and mash · 25/04/2015 at 17:15

Yeah I think I'll take it. Thanks for the input mike.

Tulendeena · 25/04/2015 at 16:24

Oxley subbed out…

Pavos · 25/04/2015 at 16:24

The ox has been subbed off! Does anyone know what he got?

    Baggy Pants · 25/04/2015 at 16:32

41 points i think, my back line has been hopeless this week so far

      Pavos · 25/04/2015 at 16:37

Well that’s a point behind Mcintosh and also yet to be allocated.

Baggy Pants · 25/04/2015 at 16:36

The gift, Oxley, Newnes, McIntosh grand total 201

    Pavos · 25/04/2015 at 16:38

I started saad so fingers crossed!

    Luviboy1 · 25/04/2015 at 17:38

    Same boat mate….

    SideBySidebottom · 25/04/2015 at 23:42

That's how it goes with rookies and mid priced players.

    Crowls · 27/04/2015 at 05:39

cmon, I got 330 for the WHOLE backline yesterday and still scored 2139. This year I cannot get over 2150. Hopefully next week.

Tyler · 25/04/2015 at 16:41

Is seedsman in the pies best 22 now?

    Pavos · 25/04/2015 at 16:55

Seeds man was out injury he’s been in our best 22 for years. (I’m a die hard pies supporter)

      Northernsoul74 · 25/04/2015 at 17:02

Yep,Seedsman is in their best 22 whenever he is fit. I guess a lot will be looking at Newnes to Seedsman trade.

    SideBySidebottom · 25/04/2015 at 23:47

With Heritier Lumumba (translation: Prince of the dashing, high knees turnover) gone, Seedsman is the logical marking, line breaking, kick it to one of our guys replacement.

Tom · 25/04/2015 at 17:08

Who do i put the Captain on Fyfe or Sloane?

3. votes · 25/04/2015 at 17:12

trade or hold Will Minson? was dropped and not sure if he is a keeper

    Luviboy1 · 25/04/2015 at 17:38

Upgrade to Goldy if you dont have him. As for downgrading, someone like a Nic Nat could be a sound option, not too much down there though, wouldnt be going near the cheap ruck types ie. Smith, Blicavs, Grundy.

Dean · 25/04/2015 at 17:12

Not taking Swan's score, so I have a decision to make. Who to put the C on?

I have Fyfe, JPK, Parker, Selwood, Goldstein.

Someone help?

    Luviboy1 · 25/04/2015 at 17:35

Parker needs to go big one of these days. He was on the road to a 140 on his first match then he got crunched. I think hell go big tonight, but I don't have the plums to chuck the C on him. Safe option would be Fyfe or Selwood.

    cow roll · 25/04/2015 at 17:56

Selwood. Weather is windy in Perth.

Jack · 25/04/2015 at 17:27

Swanny failed as a VC. Who should i trust with the C out of Sloane and Fyfe?

    Nuggety · 25/04/2015 at 17:28

    I reckon Sloan mate

    Luviboy1 · 25/04/2015 at 17:33

Im going with Sloane, purely due to the fact that I dont have Fyfe.

    cow roll · 25/04/2015 at 17:46

It's cold and windy in the west. I think Fyfe might have a scrappy game. Sloane looks like the better C option or Goldy

Nuggety · 25/04/2015 at 17:27

For the v on Pendles with a score of 119. Take it or roll the dice? C options yet to play are fyfe and selwood….

    Northernsoul74 · 25/04/2015 at 17:39

      Nuggety · 25/04/2015 at 17:42

Yeah could be right opponent has the v on fyfe can afford to wait and see how he goes then punt on selwood if need be.

James · 25/04/2015 at 17:27

Captain Selwood, Fyfe or Sloane?

Jack · 25/04/2015 at 17:39

Should i captain Selwood or Fyfe?

    Luviboy1 · 25/04/2015 at 17:42

    Tyler · 25/04/2015 at 18:12

Selwood plays very well in the wet and wind, while fyfe does well, but not as good as selwood usually

Tyler · 25/04/2015 at 18:10

Should I put the C on Buddy?

    Tom · 25/04/2015 at 18:33

    Not against Freo.

Winter · 25/04/2015 at 18:34

I have Vandenberg as an emergency on my bench who scored 109, so if i sub on Jed Anderson who isn't playing for Heeney i should get Vandenberg's points right?
And also if i make Heeney an emergency aswell who's points would be awarded? Because Anderson isn't playing

    Wombat · 25/04/2015 at 18:39

    Q1. Yes
Q2. Whoever scores LOWEST unless you need both in which case you get both scores

      Winter · 25/04/2015 at 18:45

So you would suggest to take the emergency of Heeney because all my other midfielders are playing?

        dannyyboyy · 25/04/2015 at 19:05

yes, because if heeney doesnt outscore vandenberg then u will get his points. if he does outscore him you will still only get vandenbergs points.

          Dondeal · 25/04/2015 at 19:19

No way, keep emergency on Vandenberg and take the guaranteed 109. As good as he is I highly doubt Heeney is going outscore 109 against Freo. Big risk for arguably very little chance of reward.

            dannyyboyy · 25/04/2015 at 19:24

yeah i meant take yes as in take it off heeney, i think i said it a bit confusingly tho

Winter · 25/04/2015 at 18:35

Captain Lewis or Fyfe?

Pitch · 25/04/2015 at 18:38

bloody grrrrrifen, spudding it up again, half way 2nd qtr 20pts, hopefully has an impact 2nd half, otherwise gonski!!!!

    dognino · 25/04/2015 at 18:46

Just had a purple patch and on 45 now

    @Blue5ive · 25/04/2015 at 19:29

Halfway through the 3rd Griffen on 87

      Tom · 25/04/2015 at 20:21

      finish with 110

Winter · 25/04/2015 at 18:46

Who would you put on the field out of Clark or Krakouer?

    Derek · 25/04/2015 at 19:09

3. votes · 25/04/2015 at 18:50

Hold Cockatoo or trade down to Krakour? I will use my 2 trades next week on newnes and maybe griffen so if going to pull trigger needs to be now and have 28 trades left

    dannyyboyy · 25/04/2015 at 19:16

maybe pull the trigger with that, i have both newns and griff and i am considering dumping newns but im holding griff for a bit, i just dont think he is worth jumping off just yet. i hate wasting early sideways trades

im in the same boat with krak tho, i want to make the trade this week in case i need to make 2 moves next week and am still undecided

dannyyboyy · 25/04/2015 at 19:02

Should i go lamb for krak tonight or hold til next week?

    dognino · 25/04/2015 at 19:15

I'm holding for now, was thinking about an early trade when Gray was omitted , but now that Lonie scored an 84 I'll take that to cover Gray and get one more look at krak and Tarrant , just to make sure they are named for their 3rd game

      dannyyboyy · 25/04/2015 at 19:37

yeah your right im holding and taking lonies score.

sean · 25/04/2015 at 19:26

does newnes have to go this week?

    Pavos · 25/04/2015 at 19:46

    Im afraid so.

    Newnes—->Brodie Smith

      Tyler · 25/04/2015 at 20:30

if you dont have that much cash maybe newnes -> malcheski?

        Luke · 26/04/2015 at 00:02

trading one under performing player for an even worse under performing player who's in arguably career worse form and no signs he'll turn it around.. interesting

    SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 01:52

Yes as much as we've tried to convince ourselves he'll come good there's no way he'll be anywhere near a top 6 defender this season and may not even make us any cash which is pretty disappointing given all the group think buzz in the preseason. He's certainly no David Swallow circa 2014 as many were hoping.

If Brodie Smith has another strong showing tomorrow then he firms heavily as the defensive premo of choice if he hasn't already. Hibbo also looks like he is finally finding some form if you want to save some coin although given the unreliable nature of defenders this season he's no sure thing either.

Mike · 25/04/2015 at 20:47

I was CONVINCED Hawks would flog Port tonight, was even thinking of putting money on for the win. Lucky I gave up gambling on sports.

I’d love to get rid of Bellchambers for Krak this week. But no ruck cover then.

    Derek · 25/04/2015 at 23:19

Port weren’t celebrating to much after game. Hawks superior team.

carlashirley90 · 25/04/2015 at 21:08

Griffen 113 Vc not taking that

Going with Beams as C
Others I could use is Goldy or Danger but I'm not sure now, Fyfe I was worried to use him as C but he started well lol

Hazey · 25/04/2015 at 21:34

Would you take Lonie’s 81 or risk it with Mitch Clark?

    marcus · 25/04/2015 at 21:49

    take the 81

    @t_woof · 25/04/2015 at 23:37

If you would be happy with Mitch Clark scoring 81, then you should take it.

    SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 02:20

Cats could get badly rolled by the Roos which could spell trouble for Cats power forwards and their fantasy scores so I'd take Lonie's 81 without batting an eyelid.

Unfortunately I have to roll the dice on Clark myself so I'll have my fingers crossed that he can defy my lowish expectation.

dognino · 25/04/2015 at 21:55

Rage trade Parker to krakour, newnes to a premo defender. Bank some cash before they both drop below $400k .

    SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 02:25

I'm sure you won't be the Lone Ranger there mate. Both these guys are testing the very limits of our Supercoach sanity ha ha.

      dognino · 26/04/2015 at 19:52

Hey SC are you addicts anonymous in the Choo 4 twenty Choo league?

        SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 20:03

Yeah that's me alright and my feeble score of 1941. It's a humbling game at times but at least there is always next week. 🙂

          dognino · 26/04/2015 at 20:18

Sure is a humbling game. we actually just played each other, didn't realise it was you. It's an honour mate, been taking in your advice for the last 2 seasons .

I've cooled down a bit now, think I have to stick fat with Parker, otherwise I'd be making trades every week with under performers at the moment. I really want to get krak and Tarrant in tho, but only have lamb as an option to trade out.

    What The Deuce!! · 27/04/2015 at 16:27

Parker's second half was fantastic. Hold fire. He's a premo for a reason and will definitely come good.

JB · 25/04/2015 at 22:03

Which rookie to trade OUT round 5:
N Brown

Thoughts …

    SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 02:32

Reckon it's too early to harvest any of those guys. If you are really impatient then perhaps Heeney could go given that 7 will haunt his rolling average and immediate cash generation potential for the next 3 weeks.

However I'll be holding him as eventually he'll probably still make us at least $200K by the byes. He will just take a few more weeks than the other rookie cash cows to mature.

We don't know what rookies will be coming down the road so we really need to maximise the cash we get from the current crop because if you don't there will be plenty of other coaches who do.

    the sprinkler · 26/04/2015 at 13:21

easy- heeney. he got injured and subbed out and relies on scoring goals for his points. to me thats not good enough.

Tulendeena · 25/04/2015 at 22:05

Looks like I'm forced to go TBC to krak just to get rid of stinking newnes T_T

    Mike · 26/04/2015 at 00:12

Tring to resist exact same trades. I know the week I do, one of my rucks goes down.

      SideBySidebottom · 26/04/2015 at 22:30

      That's it.

Tom · 25/04/2015 at 22:13

Parker on 20 at HT

    SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 01:19

Go straight to an elite if you can. I jumped off him this week for Fyfe and obviously reasonably satisfied that I shelled out the extra $110K to make that happen.

If you go to another $500K type player there's too much risk of Parks coming good and your replacement disappointing.

But if you get a Fyfe/Jelwood/Sloane type you are unlikely to get yourself into too much trouble. If you don't have the cash then any of Kraks, Vanders or Cripps look great if you don't have any of these mandatory cash cows.

Tom · 25/04/2015 at 22:24

who to trade parker to?

Riley · 25/04/2015 at 22:36

Oxley subbed off.. Heeney scores 7… Supercoach Gods looking over us today ;(

    Pavos · 26/04/2015 at 10:11

    But Oxley Out scored Mcintosh.

Antonio · 25/04/2015 at 23:04

What should I do with Minson?

    SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 01:24

Think you have to trade him as who knows when he'll be back after getting dropped by Bevo. It's not like he set the Supercoach world on fire when he was playing so you would only likely lose cash on him whenever he gets back in the side anyway.

At this point in the weekend Goldy is the obvious answer (if you don't already have him) otherwise Blicavs could be worth considering as an interim move until the ruck waters eventually settle as they're still a little muddy right now.

    Ethan · 26/04/2015 at 02:15

    Mince Minson son!!!!

FootyFanatic · 25/04/2015 at 23:16

How on earth does Rioli out score Lewis when
Lewis gets 92 SC points – 20 handballs, 16 kicks, 8 marks, 4 tackles at 66% disposal efficiency
Rioli gets 96 SC points – 7 handballs, 9 kicks, 4 marks, 3 tackles and 2 goals at 62% disposal efficiency

And to rub it in even more Rance scores 90 SC off 10 disposals!?!?!?
Supercoach can be so frustrating at times

    Hazey · 25/04/2015 at 23:23

It’s fair enough that there’s a little variation in the ‘worth’ of possessions, but it has started out a bit ridiculous this year with little obvious logic.

Lewis has been stiffed 2 wks in a row.

Dustbin Feltchers · 25/04/2015 at 23:26 me the irits too..luke parker was on 20 at half time..lifts dramatically and gets his team back to a winning chance…gets 80 dt for 76 sc points…do contested possessions (10) count for nothing??!!!

    carlashirley90 · 25/04/2015 at 23:37

I have noticed that players this year who score well in 1st half ride the SC point train even if they go qiuet
    But Rance ???????????????????? I ?????????????????? Dont ????????????????? Have ????????????????? A ??????????????? Clue

      I N Pieman · 26/04/2015 at 00:17

Champion data boys have rance Carla lol

      Vince the quince · 26/04/2015 at 10:30

I am quiting super coach as I have a dream team as well. There is to much cheating going on at champion data it's beyond a joke. Ablett 100+ in the first round prime example

    Tony · 26/04/2015 at 00:21

Frankly, this is the elephant in the SuperCoach room: there is no independent verification of the scores – we all have to take Champion Data's numbers without being able to do the calculations to check. In a competition of this size and profile, that's ridiculous.

The problem is that they certainly miss things. Lewis was credited with no Score Assists last week, but he had at least one where he passed to a teammate who marked close to goal and goaled (and I only saw a bit over a quarter). The Rioli v Lewis one quoted above is a perfect example of why they should put out the full spreadsheet for it to be checked. It is beyond illogical to conclude that Cyril was more effective than Lewis today.

    SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 01:27

Yes although we may say that defenders and rucks are very fickle this season, nothing is more fickle than the SC secret squirrel scoring system. Each weekend it seems like there are way too many scores that leave one confounded and bewildered.

As flawed and as basic as the Real Dream Team scoring system is at least it's clear for all to validate and verify.

Derek · 25/04/2015 at 23:17

Even though Port and Freo got the 4 points tonight, I think I know who the best two teams are.

carlashirley90 · 25/04/2015 at 23:31

Okay serious question take Griffens 113
Roll the dice on Beams, Danger or Goldy?

My Vc threshold is 120 so am thinking 113 is good enough with so many promo's scoring low this week so far.

    Donavan · 26/04/2015 at 00:05

    I think is a choice of 2.

Take the 113 or put the captaincy on Goldy. I wouldn't trust Danger or Beams to out-score 113.

    Luke · 26/04/2015 at 00:06

Answered your own question, if your threshold is 120, don't take anything under it. Out of the three, i'd pick Danger, could dominate against the doggies who don't really tag and should be an easy win for Adel

    Juzzy · 26/04/2015 at 02:23

Goldy monstered the Lions against Stef Martin and Leuenberger.
What might he do against the Cats poor rucks ??

    Pavos · 26/04/2015 at 10:09

Whip it on Goldy, Blicavs won't have a chance.

    dannyyboyy · 26/04/2015 at 10:59

yeah id go danger or goldy, my cap score cutoff is 130, i like to roll the dice with my skipper and it usually pays off

Matt · 26/04/2015 at 00:04

Absolute carnage in my squad. Shaw, Lumumba, Parker, Mcintosh, Neale. 1160 from 14. Still have Beams, Rich, Taylor, Sloane, Walker, Clarke, Goldy and CEY. Who to chuck C on?

    Luke · 26/04/2015 at 00:08

    Sloane without a doubt!

      Matt · 26/04/2015 at 00:17

      Soundest option ay.

    TOPHAWK1 · 26/04/2015 at 10:04

Whack it on Mr consistent Sloane. He is my C. Very confident he will deliver the chocolates against the dogs today.

Mike · 26/04/2015 at 00:19

Bartel f****d me last week, Heeney did it to me this week. Was looking good for a league win before I checked his 7!
It’s prob my punishment for turning off the game when the Swans were down about 50-8 in the second. I just got too mad Mitchell wasn’t playing.

Steve · 26/04/2015 at 00:22

I STILL have jimmy bartel in my fwd line and need to trade this week to avoid a donut, I want to get a top 6 forward in that is playing tomorrow? I have enough money to get anyone in, who should i get in that will play tomorrow out of Boomer Harvey, Zorko the Magnificent, The Bont or Dahlhaus?

    Tyler · 26/04/2015 at 07:00

I like Dalhaus and Zorko here. I think Zorko is a bit of a better choice but he spuds it up every once in a while

I N Pieman · 26/04/2015 at 00:38

Those with Cripps on field Heeney on the pine & Fyfe with the vc stand as one & fist pump like never before! Yeah baby!

1971 with Smith, Goldy, Clark and CEY to play

carlashirley90 · 26/04/2015 at 01:35

Had Vc on Griffen if he had a good start whoa! But alas 113
Had Cripps and Vandenburg on field Heeney on bench
Got CEY to play in guts still with Danger and Beams
Higgens, Smith and J.Kelly down back
Naitinui and Goldy
Zorko and Clarke

On 1159 from 12 captain still to play or take Griffs score….

Ben · 26/04/2015 at 01:47

Ethan · 26/04/2015 at 01:47

Another sub par peformance by parker, there were a few good signs from him in the second half but he's still far from his best. what should we do, is a trade neccisary to stop that cash loss?

    SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 02:02

I got rid him prior to the round for Fyfe partly because I was anticipating another substandard score @ Freo and partly because Fyfe is a must have I mistakenly didn't start with.

It was bit of a sliding doors moment in round 1 when Parks got KOd by Buddy on 35 touches at 3QTR time and ever since then he has lost the polish in his game.

Eventually he will come good, I have no doubt, it's just a case of how long and how much rankings pain you can tolerate between now and then. One positive is at least the Swans draw is pretty decent now right up to the byes and that he had a solid second half tonight.

    TheCompletePackage · 26/04/2015 at 02:12

I nearly got rid of him this round but after this week the Swans have a good draw so I hung on to him. For those who traded him this week it might be a win, but after that it's win, win, win for the those that hang on to him.

TheCompletePackage · 26/04/2015 at 02:01

Rick Grimes · 26/04/2015 at 04:31

Think I can hit 2300 which should be a solid score. Lucked out with Cripps on field and Heeney off. Ibbottson even came to the party. Parker is marked for attention this week.

Doc2Drej · 26/04/2015 at 09:07

Newnes. Shaw. Neale. WHAT HAPPENED??? Newnes was used in a tagging role, so that’s not good for future scoring, and I didn’t see the gws or freo matches, so if someone could shed some light on those two that would be great. I’m experiencing some deja vu, as last week I traded in Dylan Shiel only for him to score 52, but then he responded this round with 140. Fingers crossed the same happens with Neale next week (I traded him in this round).

Anyway, I had the VC on Dane Swan, who scored only 91, and I HAD the C on Fyfe only to take it off him just before his match. And then he scores 145. I have Rich, Clark, Selwood, Goldstein, Higgins and CEY to play, so who should I put as captain? I don’t really trust Clark, Higgins or CEY to outscore 91 and I don’t think Rick’s ceiling is as high as you’d want from a captain, so it’s out of Selwood and Goldstein. Who should I choose?

    Mike · 26/04/2015 at 09:44

Goldy. Selwood will be knackered after his effort last week, Goldy will have a tap fest against the Cats and North will win.

    TOPHAWK1 · 26/04/2015 at 09:54

Take a punt and whack it on Goldy. If he feels good today against the cats he will run riot.. Geelong have serious ruckman issues. Blicavs is more an on baller than a ruckman. Rhys Stanley is probably their main ruck option and he was pretty ordinary against the Gold Coast last week.

The safe option is oviously Selwood. Goldy could pump out 160 today. Its risk vs reward here.

    Your call!

      Frank · 26/04/2015 at 10:59

Agree with Tophawk… Goldy's average playing down at Geelong is very low but he doesn't have great opposition today. He could score anywhere between 80-160. Selwood will get attention but he is Joel Selwood so 100-140 you would expect. Tough call really. Good luck.

    Ethan · 26/04/2015 at 10:01

neale just didnt get into it. that 170 last round was due to him playing a weak midfield. so against sydney, he kinda struggled to match hannerbry, jack, jpk
Shaw didnt see much of the ball cause it would never come to him. Gold coast were that rubbish.
Newnes hold another week, we're nto sure of his role atm. if he's tagging then he needs a up/downgrade. if not then hold

TOPHAWK1 · 26/04/2015 at 09:43

I was not going to use any trades this week but I was forced to make one trade at the last minute last night.

As this round has progressed I have realised that my backline needs some serious work this week. I had Tom Lamb in my forward line which I needed to fix as well. As I need 2 trades this week for corrections to my backline, This forced my hand to fix the Lamb problem last night.
Lamb: out
Krakouer: in
Then moved krakouer to the mid with gray moving back forward and on the field. This still enabled me to secure Hogan's points as he was on my bench as an emergency.

Krakouer comes out and scores 82 SC points.

Now I can concentrate on getting a viable replacement for that Snapperhead Newnes. He was sheit again yesterday and he has to go. Any suggestions for a good double defensive trade? Nathan Brown and Newnes have to go this week.

    Leighroy · 26/04/2015 at 10:00

    Hi community need some advise.

I’m currently going to get a 0 in the forward line. Was going to trade lamb to krackour but after leaving the footy yesterday and going out to dinner just missed getting the trade done.

Was now thinking lamb to tarrant and Anderson to krackour next week.

I don’t have the cash to go straight from lamb to tarrant but will if I also trade goods to Andrews from brisbane.

Not sure on his job security and haven’t seen him play.

    Any advise??

      Ethan · 26/04/2015 at 10:05

with leuy back im not sure if andrews will come back to feature after round 4. Watch closely in today's game to see if he has an impact.

      TOPHAWK1 · 26/04/2015 at 10:26

Concerned about Harris Andrews. Still very early days for him. I would definately want to see what he does today before even considering to trade him in. No problem with Lamb to Tarrant, but if you do not have enough cash to make this one switch, then for the sake of potentially wasting a trade it might be worth wearing a donut mate.

      Hope this helps.

        Jdogg · 26/04/2015 at 10:49

I am a lions supporter and can tell you Andrews is only a stop gap. We will have Clay back in two and there are a few others in the 2nds right alongside him. No JS for mine

          Joey Joe Joe · 26/04/2015 at 12:35

Not sure about that – I think Harris is replacing Close in the KPP forward role. Given Close is out for the season, may be better JS than you think. Lions season is a stinker, so Leppa will probably want to continue blooding the kids as well

There is an undeniable risk in picking Tarrant this round on the back of just one game. He wasn't in the Kangas 22 for the first couple of games which had me scratching my head given how good a preseason he had.

However if he has another decent game today you'd have to think he'd solidify a spot in their side at least in the short term.

No question Kraks would've been the better choice but Tarrant could prove worth the risk especially if you are facing an onfield donut this weekend.

        SideBySidebottom · 26/04/2015 at 12:58

The issue with Tarrant is his propensity to suffer injury rather than ability.

    Ethan · 26/04/2015 at 10:06

If you got cash in the bank, definitly upgrade newnes to a fallen premium

Pavos · 26/04/2015 at 10:06

Taylor Walker is going to get 170 I can just feel it.

Walker is playing at Etihad where he averages 110, against Jordan Roughead the young defender who let Jarryd roughpill kick 7. Etihad will have it's roof up so no wind or rain and With Danger and Sloane getting 40 touches a piece (while smashing Liam Picken), it will make it a blow out to Adelaide and the delivery to Tex will be great. Walker price will be at 480k if he gets a captains knock of about 160+.

So why am I writing all this because Dustin Martins BE will be sitting at 110-120 these coming weeks and I suspect his price will bottom out at 490k, therefore a 10k warchest will mean the stepping stone is complete and you will reap the rewards of Dusty 2nd half of the year.

Significant? I think yes community.

Cheers, PAVOS

    Matt · 26/04/2015 at 11:57

I absolutely love your thinking. I too reckon Tex will belt out a 160 which is why Im having dilemmas as who to set as Captain. Him or Sloane? Im also going to jump on Dusty once he drops to sub 500.

      Bontemgasmic · 26/04/2015 at 12:27

Dusty's price is going north not south

current 3 week average is 111 which is higher than his current price

    BundyBear · 26/04/2015 at 12:28

Taylor has had his big score for the year. kennedy will kick 13

      Brillsy21 · 26/04/2015 at 20:17

      Lol Tex Walker 170

        Ben · 26/04/2015 at 20:19

great analising, i see it worked out well

Charlie · 26/04/2015 at 10:19

Hi folks, Probably a silly question but in the situation where you set 2 emergencies in the same line and one doesn't play (ie Robbie Gray), do you still get the 2nd playing emergencies score? I know its usually the lower of the two scores but does that apply to a non playing emergency score of zero as well. I want to take Fyfe's 145 but I need to put Mitch Clark on the bench and set him as 2nd emergency along side Robbie Gray but dont want a zero if I get Robbie Grays score. Cheers guys

    Frank · 26/04/2015 at 10:50

No Robbie won't count- you will get Clarks score.

      Charlie · 26/04/2015 at 10:59

      Thanks Frank 🙂

Pavos · 26/04/2015 at 10:26

I picked Parker as a premium keeper so should I still hold him regardless of his 80K price drop, and do you think he will still generate enough points or should I get a Jelwood.

    Ethan · 26/04/2015 at 10:44

second half of that freo game he found some of his old form. but we cant be bleeding that much cash on such a big player

    Luke · 26/04/2015 at 10:54

was on 0 at QT, 19 at HF, yet finished on 84, Hopefully thats a sign that he'll lift. Look at all the people who traded out cripps (172), griffen this week (100+), Martin after round 1, theres a few that come to mind. He's a gun player, he'll lift soon

    @t_woof · 26/04/2015 at 14:33

I'd hold onto him, and work on the remainder of your team. Parker as M7-8 would be pretty handy!

Ben Bretel · 26/04/2015 at 10:28

boys im having the week from hell top score in defence has been 79 lucky to crack the 2000 this week

Tom · 26/04/2015 at 10:35

Thinking of going Rich to Cripps and Newnes to Rance.

Rich has appreciated nicely but might stall when rocky and hanley come back and Cripps will have the 172 in his price cycle for two more weeks.

Then I can upgrade Newnes to Rance since Rance has been so consistent with a low score of 87 after 4 rounds. (Already have Smith.)

    Ethan · 26/04/2015 at 10:46

richmond are yet to play against a quality opposition. which will mean rance is forced to play a shutdown role. Never go for key defenders

dannyyboyy · 26/04/2015 at 10:57

So who else had heeney on field and cripps on the bench? this game can be so cruel!

    SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 11:56

Not Pieman by the looks! 🙂

I managed to dodge that bullet myself too but I had Bartel last week so I know how sickly it feels.

It's probably been the worst start to a Supercoach season in terms of nasties in recent memory. All these injuries, super spud scores and the changes that have savaged our ruck premos have left plenty of coaches in a world of hurt just a month into the season.

Still a long way to go though.

      dannyyboyy · 26/04/2015 at 12:59

yeah i know what u mean, what a train wreck of a start! i dodged most of the injuries thus far luckily enough. most of my problems have stemmed from playing the wrong rookie on field, which i know is unpredictable but im down around 185 points this week alone already. at least ive got the bulk of the good ones, i suppose. cant wait to start chopping and upgrading so i can find some kind of balance and get some consistency to my side.

Eyes on the Piemans hot tips this week tho after pulling a maneuver like that one! Hats off to the kid!

    TOPHAWK1 · 26/04/2015 at 12:18

Had both on the field. I guess the glass was half full for me. LOL

    Cozza · 26/04/2015 at 16:34

That would be me – had Vandenberg and Cripps on the bench, with Heeney on field. GRRRRR

TOPHAWK1 · 26/04/2015 at 11:10

That clown Newnes has to go this week. It will be a "bang bang" trade in defence this week. N Brown and Newnes will be traded out.

I have checked the breakevens for N Brown which was 33. He scored 52. Based on this he should jump in price by hopefully 10K. Making him worth $170K. Newnes break even was 90. He scored 60. I reckon his price will drop by 25K to around $400K.

I will be looking very closely at two playing defensive rookies today. Jake Kelly 123K (Adelaide) and Harris Andrews 117K (Brisbane). Both are playing their second game.

If one or both have good games today I will select one to replace N Brown. This would give me approx 50K on this switch. I already have 25K in the warchest making my total surplus 75K. Therefore I have approx$475K to spend on Newnes' replacement. Either a fallen premium or a fast rising in form player who still sits below $475 K in price.

Community, I would love some suggestions on some replacement options for Newnes.

    Northernsoul74 · 26/04/2015 at 11:21

Seedsman, Birchall, Mcgovern, Hibberd anyone except Newnes.

      TOPHAWK1 · 26/04/2015 at 12:09

Thanks Northern soul. I already have Mc Govern. Seedsman (Mr Anzac), Birch and Hibbo all will be closely looked at. Will have to run these guys through the higginator to ensure a good fit for the byes.

    SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 11:51

Yeah Hibbo or Birch sounds good me. I think we are all waiting for Malcelski to turn his form around but he put in another spudly performance yesterday. So yes there is actually a defensive gun worse than Newnes ha ha.

      TOPHAWK1 · 26/04/2015 at 12:12

      Thanx SCaddict,

Malceski is just putrid!! Time to shave the beard off, must be slowing him down. I had him for the first two rounds. He was very ordinary then so I pulled the trigger on him before the price changes. Thank christ for that. Prob saved myself 100 K right there.

Will closely look at those two guys as a replacement for Newnes. Will have to run them through the higginator to ensure a good fit for the byes.

Dean · 26/04/2015 at 12:06

Selwood, Goldy, Beams who to put the C on

Glorin · 26/04/2015 at 12:15

Shaw will drop bellow $500k this week, but not low enough for you. Simpson will be closer to that price and keep a eye on Kelly today. Hibbard is another worth considering.
If you want to take a chance, Haynes from gws is an option or pittard from Port.

I am leaning towards Shaw but may consider Hibbard.

TOPHAWK1 · 26/04/2015 at 12:16

No late changes for the eagles- Brisbane match. Mc Govern is playing!! Bewdiful. Was worried about him being a late out because of a knee niggle.

Michael · 26/04/2015 at 12:25

This has got to be the worst SC round in history.

Newnes, Lumumba, SMitch, Heeney, Parker, Saad (STK), Swan, Bennell all under par. First time I can recall getting 2 scores under 10 and no donuts!!!!

Only highlights so far Maric, Hogan & Vandenburg.

Must get Fyfe in next week, will use either Anderson or Lambert to upgrade – have $559K in the kitty, but will it be enough?
How much will Fyfe increase in value? Currently $655,100 with BE 119.

    SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 12:44

Sounds downright pigdog ugly mate. What score are you tracking towards?

Fyfe will only go up about $10K or so.

      Michael · 26/04/2015 at 16:18

Embarrassing mate – currently projected to get 1868, lowest score in years outside the bye rounds!
Have Enright, Goldy, Sloane (C), The Bont, MClark to go and I'm on 1171.
The gods are definitely banging their war drums this week!
Oh well, on to next week, it's just a game right?
What do you reckon is par this week?

        SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 18:24

I have Sloane as C too so plenty of pain all round.

Crows are a rabble this arvo.

    Frank · 26/04/2015 at 14:06

yeah should be about $666,300 next week so you'll need to use Anderson

Jon · 26/04/2015 at 12:38

If I have two non-playing forwards and two emergencies, will I still get both emergency scores? Want to keep my VC on Fyfe.

    Dools · 26/04/2015 at 12:41

    yes mate
You get both E scores .
When you have 2 Emergency players on the same line and only one spot you get the lower E score.

      Jon · 26/04/2015 at 13:04

Thanks.. Only good news I have had all weekend.

Dom · 26/04/2015 at 12:57

Captain Sloane or selwood?

    SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 13:10

Tough one but I'd probably go Sloanedog given his consistency as well as the relative strength of his opposition this weekend compared to Jelwood. The Dogs don't even seem to have the capability to seriously tag anyone given all their personnel issues right now.

The Cats only barely beat the cellar dweller Suns at home last week and have been savaged by injuries so the Kangas have the potential to put them to the sword if the good Kangas show up this arvo of course. 😉

    TOPHAWK1 · 26/04/2015 at 13:14

TOM · 26/04/2015 at 13:18

Selwood or Goldy as C

    I N Pieman · 26/04/2015 at 13:20

    I’d go Selwood

    SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 14:34

Reckon both are risky. How often this season has a player who belted out a huge score the week before belted out another one the following round?

If the good North show up today it could be an ugly day for both the home crowd and Cats player owners.

JAy · 26/04/2015 at 13:29

How bad was jack martins ankle injury? Can't beleve I traded him in this week as a POD over bonty

the sprinkler · 26/04/2015 at 13:33

SERIOUSLY- there needs to be an enquiry in SC scores and champion datas scoring system.

OR there needs to be a banning of betting on SC. To say it is corrupt is and UNDERSTATEMENT.

Supercoach betting markets are put up and it is plain for everybody to see what the odds are. But when results are made up willy nilly and there are $100,000 of dollars on the line then something has to give.

It is too hit and miss.

Strange thing is that there is NO other sport or gambling option on the planet where there is no OFFICIAL hard EVIDENCE of how the outcome has been reached.

And I would say it is time that the ACCC get involved- I mean seriously- WHY ARE THE SC SCORING RESULTS SECRET????????? I mean what is anybody going to do if the true formula was released????? Other than release that there is NO formula and that it is made up by a few who watch each game.

The stranger thing is they have over 300K idiots like me playing a game that NOONE actually knows the rules or how it is scored!!!!!!

Hilarious. Anyway a fair few ridicuolous scores this week…

    Soa · 26/04/2015 at 14:32

Agree with you for the most part. I know that in st kilda v Carlton. Newnes first involvement was a centre clearance, a long kick with a neutral result and an inside 50 and was only on 3.

      Soa · 26/04/2015 at 14:33

Probably the stupidest thing is that they scale the scores so that each game has a similar number of points allocated, which is just ridiculous if you are loking for an accurate reflection of a players quality/worth in a game

        Tulendeena · 26/04/2015 at 15:54

I don't mind the scaling to be honest, makes more consistent results

but the whole some players getting more than others is bullshit

        Ablett 119 rd 1 and rance 90 t_t

    bloke · 26/04/2015 at 16:04

    Good call.

    Vince the quince · 26/04/2015 at 16:45

I think as our fearless leader Jock should step up here and make a formal complaint on our behalf

SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 13:57

Oh boy wowee Stevie J is the sub. What's up with that?!

Should be dirt cheap in another month.

    TOM · 26/04/2015 at 14:14

Not sure wether you would want to get him, inconsistent, injury prone and also likely to get reported.

      SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 14:20

He has his issues that's for sure and no way you'd pick him based on his current form.

But it's very easy to be a prisoner of the moment in this Supercoach caper and a month is a long time in footy.

I reckon you'd be crazy not to at least look at him around the byes probably priced sub $450K, if he can get his act together at that time.

        Wattsieesq · 26/04/2015 at 15:15

I'd have to agree with Tom. While SJ is prone to go large, he is too inconsistent, injury prone and prone to lose his head. If I'm looking for cheap premos, I'll be waiting for JPK to fall further before bringing him in as he'll fall this week and perhaps next.

    michael · 26/04/2015 at 17:57

    2 goals & 51 pts in a quarter – not bad!

Nathan · 26/04/2015 at 15:20

Parker needs to go -_-

90odd when knocked out

But now 3, 70 odd scores just not good enough

Costing me points and wins

    Wattsieesq · 26/04/2015 at 15:35

What was the reasoning for bringing him in? Was he a keeper or a stepping stone?

      Nathan · 26/04/2015 at 18:42

I had him from the start as a keeper
But if not performing then needs to move on
A lot of other players around the same price that are scoring 50 points a week more its leaving me behind

    dognino · 26/04/2015 at 17:58

I'm trading him out to krak , build the warchest by $400k and I have 4 midfield rookies already scoring more than Parker so he will not be missed

      Nathan · 26/04/2015 at 18:43

      The same here too
I’m not going to a rookie but another premo
      Not sure who

bloke · 26/04/2015 at 15:45

Dodged a massive Supercoach bullet in keeping Cripps on the park (in error)

Unfortunately, also had Roughy, Neale, Heeney, Oxley, McIntosh, and Saad also on the park.

And just because the Supercoach gods are cruel bastards.. I left Mich Clark on the bench and it looks like he’s going big.

Soa · 26/04/2015 at 15:55

Selwood 7 possessions 5 contested and five clearances and two tackles no clangers – 24 points to quarter time.

Schofield 7 possessions 3 clangers – 34 points.

What the few is that?

    SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 16:32

Welcome to the eccentricities of Supercoach scoring my friend!

    Charlesy · 26/04/2015 at 17:37

I for one am over it mate. When Rance got 90 for 10 possessions and only 8 were effective I decided to enjoy this as possibly my last year of SuperCoach. Might just go to another game where there is no risk of this type of I’m not sure how we go about airing our concerns either.

Stevo · 26/04/2015 at 16:32

Sloane or Tex as C

    Donavan · 26/04/2015 at 16:40

    It's got to be Sloan

Gold Rush · 26/04/2015 at 16:48

Bad week Jock, feels like someone shoved a cactus up mi old one, it's OK just got ripped a new one.

    Gold Rush · 26/04/2015 at 18:08

Jock, looking at the half time SC scores for Sloan, VanBerlo & YeoMan, mi new one is Cactus also!!!

Michael · 26/04/2015 at 16:57

I think most have had a fair rogering this week, anyone hitting 2200+ have done extremely well!

Dustbin Feltchers · 26/04/2015 at 17:02

decided to go with sloane as C..rather than taking pendles vc 114…sloane is currently on -1 after 20 minutes…if he stays on -1, do i get -2 (double points) for captaincy?? not happy jan!!

    Tom · 26/04/2015 at 17:26

why is he scoring so low?

    BundyBear · 26/04/2015 at 17:30

Dont panic. he is on 9 now

    Gold Rush · 26/04/2015 at 17:34

God that's suicidal, Imagine your Capt getting a minus then having to double it – stuff that, pin pulling time!!!

      Dustbin Feltchers · 26/04/2015 at 17:43

to make it worse…i could have put the C on Goldy…the ups and downs of supercoach..

    TOPHAWK1 · 26/04/2015 at 18:04

He is my captain as well this week. Its half time now and he is sitting on 13. Whoopie do!!! He better seriously fire up in the second half or my score this week will look like a soccer score. LOL

Michael · 26/04/2015 at 17:05

Approaching QT, Sloane has 1 handball and 0 SC points – guess who has him as C? Awesome…..

    Mike · 26/04/2015 at 17:27

I can top that. Brought him in this week. Put the C on him. My other trade this week. Bartell for Bont who is on 3 possessions 9 mins in second quarter.
Also put Heeney onfield for his 7 while VB on the bench for 109.

FCUK this, I’m ready to quit Supercoach this year. Every move I’ve made has been a disaster. I’ll be THAT guy that stuffs up the league by folding. AARRGGHHH!

      michael · 26/04/2015 at 17:54

I’ll raise you – I had Heeney AND Ahmed Saad on field – 2 players for a combined 12pts!!

    cow roll · 26/04/2015 at 18:09

i think very unfortunate with the Sloane. i wondered what happened???

anthonyc12 · 26/04/2015 at 17:37

    TOPHAWK1 · 26/04/2015 at 18:10

sean · 26/04/2015 at 17:59

took the gamble on going early on tarrant.

bloody stoked

    SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 18:26

Yeah will probably be the number 1 player traded in this week considering his enormously negative BE so well done there Sean!

      Northernsoul74 · 26/04/2015 at 18:44

He'll be coming in ahead of Krak for me.

    SideBySidebottom · 26/04/2015 at 19:15

I hope he stays fit. Personally wouldn't go near him.

      SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 19:33

With such a massive minus BE he only needs to play the next 3 or 4 games to make an easy $200-250K then upgrade him to a fallen premo. In fact could go up over $100K in just one week if he tons up next weekend!

Good use of a trade for mine.

TOPHAWK1 · 26/04/2015 at 18:01

What the hell is going on with Rory Sloane???? My captain has 13 fantasy points (Dont have SC gold) at half time! If he does not lift in the second half my total score this round is going to be sub 2000. Lift Rory LIFT!!! Please! LOL

    Ethan · 26/04/2015 at 18:42

he's just out of the game. not getting anything really contested

    SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 18:48

Took a solid knock to the scone in the first quarter and has been all at sea like the rest of his Crows mates since then.

Cozza · 26/04/2015 at 18:41

Thought I was sitting pretty in my main league – 65 points up on my opponent. I had Sloane and NVB – he had Brodie Smith and the Bont. Though I was sitting pretty until I checked half time scores.

Not going to crack the 2k this week either – have Cripps and Vandenberg on the pine. What a disaster 🙁

Tommy mc · 26/04/2015 at 18:54

sloane is killing me was going to get past 2000 easy now i am going to struggle big time

Ben · 26/04/2015 at 19:05

Going to get around 2000 with newnes sloane heeney saad ( emergency for gray ) mclntosh and oxley all on my ground, pretty shit. Thoughts on saad to tarrant and newnes to brodie smith jock?

Chuck · 26/04/2015 at 19:11

Worst round so far on 1968, with the Bont to go. How's everyone else going?

OUT: NVB or Heeney, Honeychurch
IN: Karkouer and Tarrant …

Thoughts …

    Cozza · 26/04/2015 at 19:27

Yep – thinking of bring them in myself. Kelly from Adelaide is also a defender on the bubble to think about bringing on for Goodes if you have him

    JB · 26/04/2015 at 19:40

Enough of the mid pricers burnt me this season … Sloane (C), Heeney and Honeychurch on field destroyed my round … Going back to basic strategy …

Gold Rush · 26/04/2015 at 19:40

Worst SC week in 4 years for me, so be it – gonna keep fighting.

iamme · 26/04/2015 at 19:49

What a weird round, lots of sub par scores but still managed my best score this season 2259, with non emergencies Tarrant and Vandenberg on the bench.

Westy · 26/04/2015 at 19:49

Looks like a 2155 with Sloane as captain. Reasonably happy with that given the carnage this weekend.

Pavos · 26/04/2015 at 19:53

Got 2065 seems my team is super consistant haven't scored below 2050

KJU FC · 26/04/2015 at 19:58

Pretty happy with that score

dognino · 26/04/2015 at 20:00

Is NVB redundant now with scotty Thompson back in the team? 2 good scores without him, 2 crap scores with him.

    Riley · 26/04/2015 at 21:04

Looks like it… May look to downgrade him for Krakour this week

Tulendeena · 26/04/2015 at 20:03

worst start to a season ever, with only 2 scores over 2000..

Derek · 26/04/2015 at 20:05

Thompson has changed the point scoring at the Crows.

Gregory · 26/04/2015 at 20:08

2260. managed to avoid most of the crap scores apart from Sloane. Loopholed cripps score and had fyfe captain 😀 good round

Ben Bretel · 26/04/2015 at 20:20

worst week in my supercoach history if you don't count bye rounds managed 1875 ranking 600 before this round from hell

    anthonyc12 · 26/04/2015 at 20:38

I'm in a similar spot, I was ranked 250 before this round and managed 1880.

Stickman · 26/04/2015 at 20:33

Anyone know what time lockout finishes?

KJU FC · 26/04/2015 at 20:43

supercoach has opened!

ranked in the top 1%…

what a weird week

carlashirley90 · 26/04/2015 at 20:47

2099 with taking punt on Danger as my C but still could be worse and had J.Kelly 37 only 2 who knocked my score down

Defense this year is a joke btw, who knows who is our top 6 defenders realy!

Luviboy1 · 26/04/2015 at 20:51

Ranked 903 last week, after a score of 1855 I have dropped to 7826. Bugger.

Tyler · 26/04/2015 at 21:08

Dodged a bullet this week by gray not playing. Instead of trading out wines for sloane I traded out lamb for krak so i could have 6 playing in my fwd line. Had the vc loophole worked out so if swanny didn’t do well i would put the c on sloane, but instead had to put it on fyfe. Then to cap it off I had wines on the field by accident and just happened to have the e on cripps… ended with a score of 2167. Lucky me!

Tulendeena · 26/04/2015 at 21:11

Already made my trades

Michael · 26/04/2015 at 21:12

I'll bet I have the worst round that's commented – 1,756 – shattered.
Where to start –
– lowest ever score I've had aside from bye rounds
– Heeney (7) & Saad (5) on field.
– Sloane captain
– Robbie Gray late out forced me to play Saad,
– only 5 scores 100+
– wasteland on the bench, only 1 out of 8 getting a game (CEY – and he went off with an ankle so he may be out next week too)
– headaches everywhere except rucks ironically (Goldy & Maric)
On the positives –
– rucks shone bright
– Enright, Vandenburg & Hogan saved me from complete embarrassment
– it's not life or death!

My trade plan this week:
IN Fyfe OUT Lamb (swinging Lambert to FWD)
IN Tarrant OUT Saad

Leaves me with $64K and 24 trades left.
Is there any other option that is better than this?

My team after these trades will be:

DEF: Enright, Lumumba, Saad (MID), KMac, Oxley, Newnes (MID) (Goodes, Goddard (FWD))
MID: Fyfe, Sloane, Pendles, Rich, Parker, NVB, SMitch, Heeney (CEY, Vandenberg, Anderson)
RUC: Goldy, Maric (Read (FWD)
FWD: Swan, Bennell (MID), Bont (MID), Hogan, Gray (MID), Tarrant (Clark, Lambert (MID))

    SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 21:24

Took some guts to post that Michael but good on you for doing so. I feel pretty lousy with my 1941 so I can imagine how dejected you must feel. But it's still a long way to go and there will probably be plenty of swings of fortune between now and the SC Finals. There are no April premiers that's for sure!

Yeah Fyfe and Tarrant are absolute must haves so they look like terrific trade ideas to me.

      BundyBear · 26/04/2015 at 21:38

This is probably the dumbest question yet. Who does Tarrant play for ?

        SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 21:43

Kangas mate. He was initially a forward project but has been reshaped as a key defender this season and is killing it in this new position. Has had a horrid run with injuries but has had a flawless preseason and is at a bargain bin price.

Has a BE of -147 which is all that really needs be said.

      Michael · 26/04/2015 at 22:15

Thanks mate, appreciate the feedback, was aiming for the $50K but already 1,100 pts behind so I may need to reconsider such lofty heights lol!

Kev · 26/04/2015 at 21:28

Reckon I'll struggle to hit 1,000 when the byes come… Not enjoying SC right now. Honourable mentions to Cripps, Fyfe, Gibbo, Harry Taylor, and Dahlhaus.

Rage traded that spud newnes to tarrant via DPP, second trade may be used on Heeney depending on injury news, or Minson because Luke Beveridge doesn't believe he suits their structures after getting smashed 49-29 in the hitouts today.

    SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 21:40

His coach Horse said that Heeney wasn't injured in the after match press conference so I'd hang on to him. Every rookie has the odd shocker and I reckon the kid will bounce back and make plenty of cash, it'll just take a little longer than we expected heading into this round.

Mino is the bigger priority for you if he can't make it back into the Doggies team next weekend. If you don't have Goldy that would be my target otherwise a Blicavs or Grundy could be considered.

sam · 26/04/2015 at 21:35

2032 with Sloane as captain and ranked under 3,000. I’ve just hung in there. Van berlo Salem and Goodes all need to go! Let’s keep our chins up community. This week is a chance to shine!

    SCaddict · 26/04/2015 at 21:48

Goodes has to go for sure but I wouldn't be in a huge hurry to turf either NVB or Salem just yet.

Still reckon they have a fair bit more cash to generate unless you need them to make room for a Tarrant or Krakouer type in which case fair enough.

Ryan · 26/04/2015 at 21:39

Hi guys, tough weekend for many, I came out with 2311 so I'm very pleased. Thanks Heppell, fyfe, Goldstein and Cripps. I've got McGrath so he needs to go, with heeney as well, the 7 will effect cash generation. Is he worth holding or is my trade plan a better idea?
McGrath out, Tarrant in
Heeney out, krakouer in
With downgrading Jacobs to Grundy and these trades gives me 410k to look to upgrade rich and Walters next week.
Does everyone think Tarrant is a must have?
Thanks guys

    Charlesy · 26/04/2015 at 22:07

That’s brilliant Ryan. Well done mate. I’m not sold on Tarrant due to his injury history but plenty of good judges on here are bringing him in. He ll certainly make you some cash. Follow your gut

Flanno24 · 26/04/2015 at 21:40

That's it, I'm done
Heeney on the field with Cripps, Vandenberg and Miller on the bench
SC Gods why did I deserve this?

David · 26/04/2015 at 21:54

Got spudnewnes, TBC and goodes on my bench, what are my priorities?
